If you’re looking for a classic burger meal and a yummy sundae to top off your day in DinoLand, U.S.A., this new dinner experience is definitely for you! Our paleontology students have conspired to open a fun and exclusive burger joint right at Restaurantosaurus, giving families a great way to enjoy hand-crafted burgers and a build-your-own sundae bar. For just one price, you can select an entrée and a side dish and even build your own sundae! On the menu are gourmet burgers, a chicken sandwich, a veggie burger, and a salad. For the sides, choose from fries or onion rings served with a delicious house-made dipping sauce. Plus, your dinner also includes a non-alcoholic beverage. When you order, you’ll receive a token that can be redeemed for a bowl with two oh-so-yummy scoops of delicious ice cream, which you can then take over to the toppings bar to build your own dig site sundae with an abundance of selections to choose from. And in addition to savoring these burgers and treats, guests will be able to color with fun dinosaur stencils while cast members entertain them with games and stories of the paleontology students who created the restaurant. Restaurantosaurus Burgers and Sundaes is only available only during dinner on select nights and is $22.99 plus tax for adults and $14.99 plus tax for children ages 3-9. Alcoholic beverages will also be available for purchase. This experience can also count as one quick-service meal entitlement on the Disney Dining Plan. Quick service dining at Restaurantosaurus will still be available. Guests partaking in this new dinner experience will check in at a designated register where they will be escorted to a table in a separate dining room. Reservations will be open starting tomorrow and can be made by calling 407 WDW-DINE (407 939-3463) or by visiting the Walt Disney World Resort website. Walk-ups are welcome but subject to availability. View the full article

One of my favorite parts of vacation is indulging in specialty coffee to get my day started. That means no matter which Disney ship I’m cruising on, I head straight to the adult-exclusive Cove Café for my morning pick-me-up. On my last Disney cruise, I tried a drink that I have to share with you—the Turmeric Latte. This spicy and creamy drink, which can be served either hot or iced, includes Golden Turmeric Elixir syrup, a blend of turmeric, ginger, black pepper, cinnamon, and organic vanilla extracts, sweetened with Australian raw sugar. The spice is balanced with milk, which softens the taste and gives the drink a creamy texture. Because the Turmeric Elixir gives the latte a golden color, the drink is most popularly called “Golden Milk.” If you’re in need of a dose of caffeine, try it with a shot of espresso. Take a look at this video to see how you can make it at home…and feel like you’re on vacation, too. No matter which venue you visit on a Disney ship to get a specialty drink, you’ll have your pick of one-of-a-kind concoctions hand-crafted by our expert baristas and bartenders. View the full article

If you’ve ever reviewed a list of dining options in Epcot’s World Showcase at Walt Disney World, you may have noticed that some pavilions have more eateries than others. France and Japan, in particular, not only have several restaurants each, they’re both in the process of adding new restaurants as well, which will bring the restaurant total in France to five and in Japan to four. So why do Epcot’s France and Japan have so many restaurants each while Canada can’t even get a quick service spot? World Showcase The answer to this question is a little complicated. You may think that the inequality is due to French and Japanese cuisine being more celebrated in the real world, and thus restaurants in these pavilions are naturally more popular. (Of course, Le Cellier in Canada is popular in its own right, but Canadian cuisine isn’t exactly lauded in general.) But this answer is the simplest part of the explanation. Le Cellier Steakhouse That’s because Epcot’s World Showcase pavilions have a bit of politics and economics going on behind the scenes. All of the original pavilions that opened in 1982 were financially backed by private companies hailing from those countries — with the exceptions of Canada and China. Morocco was added in 1984, and, as many fans know, the pavilion was sponsored by the government of Morocco (although a third party runs their restaurants). And in 1988, Norway opened with a small investment from the nation of Norway but a much larger contribution from a business consortium. (See Yesterland’s comprehensive look at World Showcase history here). Morocco Pavilion Waterfront Today, businesses are the name of the game in most pavilions, including Japan, were the Mitsukoshi department store owns the dining establishments in the pavilion (as well as the popular store). Mitsukoshi is also the group behind Japan’s new signature restaurant, Takumi-Tei, currently under construction and set to open in summer 2019. Japan Signature Restaurant Construction In France, the Bocuse family — headed now by Chef Jerome Bocuse who took over for his father, world-renowned Chef Paul Bocuse — operates all the eateries in the pavilion (including the forthcoming Creperie). Creperie Concept Art ©Disney So behind these popular restaurants are powerful people and organizations which have established relationships with Disney and are willing to invest money, time, knowledge, and effort in creating more experiences for guests. Meanwhile the Canada pavilion was fraught with tension from the start. The Walt Disney Company sought funding for the pavilion from the Canadian government, but Canada rejected the plans Disney had for the pavilion, saying that the designs were too stereotypical. Disney proceeded without the blessing of (or funding from) the Canadian government. Canada Design So does this old feud prevent Canada from expanding, or is it simpler than that: people just aren’t familiar with Canada’s cuisine and so multiple restaurants aren’t necessary? And if that’s so, how does this explain the prevalence of poutine — Canada’s loaded French fry export — all over Walt Disney World? (The Daily Poutine in Disney Springs is, you know, an entire restaurant serving just poutine!) Daily Poutine Oktoberfest Poutine So clearly there’s a desire for the Canadian French fry specialty, as well as the Cheddar Cheese Soup made popular by Le Cellier that’s been sought-after as a snack at Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival and that appeared at Refreshment Port for a time as well (see that here!). Would additional specialty items like maple butter, beavertails, and tourtiere also be popular if they were introduced to Epcot guests? BeaverTails, in fact, had a bit of a moment in the Canada Pavilion in a food stall run by the Montreal-based BeaverTails company that’s popular in Canada proper. These fan-favorite fried dough treats were available for years before the kiosk disappeared in 2004. So we have to think there’s a market for all of Canada’s unique eats. Beavertails from Disney Cruise Line’s Canada Itinerary As Canada continues to operate only one restaurant while France and Japan continue to expand, we’ve come to the conclusion that the lack of financial backing — from the Canadian government or from corporations — has resulted in the meagre offerings in the pavilion. We hope that as Epcot’s growth manifests over the next few years, the lovely Canada pavilion will get a little more love — that is, if politics and history can get out of the way of some great eats. Disney World’s Coronado Springs Resort is in the midst of a huge transformation. Learn About: Three Bridges Bar & Grill Disney World Restaurants The Resort will welcome the new Gran Destino Tower on July 9th. The Tower will add 545 guest rooms (including 50 suites) to the Resort. It will also deliver rooftop dining with the upcoming Toledo — Tapas, Steak & Seafood restaurant and two lounges: Dahlia Lounge and Barcelona Lounge. But those aren’t the only changes to the Resort. In fact, our visit today is all about a brand new addition to the original section of Coronado Springs. And you’ll find it by strolling along any one of the new bridges that join three sections of the Resort on Lago Dorado. Welcome to the newly open Three Bridges Bar & Grill at Villa del Lago! Three Bridges Bar & Grill at Villa del Lago Atmosphere Three Bridges Bar & Grill brings over-the-water dining to Coronado Springs Resort. Three Bridges Bar & Grill at Villa del Lago Approaching the restaurant from any of the three bridges offers a view of an open-air spot with plenty of seating space to welcome you in… Three Bridges Bar & Grill Three Bridges Bar & Grill There is no shortage of seating from which to choose. You can belly right up at the bar. Three Bridges Bar & Grill Or you can opt for one of the many cozy chairs with low tables to stay and lounge awhile. Three Bridges Bar & Grill Three Bridges Bar & Grill Perhaps you’d enjoy a place by the fire? Three Bridges Bar & Grill Three Bridges Bar & Grill Of course, you could just choose your seat in order to focus solely on that waterfront view! Three Bridges Bar & Grill Three Bridges Bar & Grill The spot is reminiscent in several respects to Geyser Point Bar & Grill at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, which offers similar seating styles and setup, along with views of the water. But there are differences to note. First, Geyser Point offers a counter service component, whereas Three Bridges Bar & Grill is all lounge-style. Three Bridges Bar & Grill And, of course, it features decorative elements that are well in keeping with Coronado Springs Resort. Three Bridges Bar & Grill Three Bridges Bar & Grill Three Bridges Bar & Grill You may even spy a glimpse or two of some good old Disney whimsy tucked right in! (“DuckTales! WOO-ooo!”) Three Bridges Bar & Grill Uncle Scrooge! Scrooge McDuck at Three Bridges Bar & Grill The setting is relaxed and fun… and even romantic. In short, it’s got it all. It’s even got… FOOD . Let’s dig in. Eats Bar drinks and Grill eats make up the menu at Three Bridges Bar & Grill! Because it’s a lounge-style setting, let’s do exactly what the menu suggests… Three Bridges Bar & Grill at Villa del Lago Menu .. and start with drinks! The Sangria Collection offers your choice of White, Red, or Rosé by the glass or pitcher. Three Bridges Bar & Grill Menu Specialty Cocktails include a Santa Maria Collins, Port de Colada, and the Gran Gin Tonic, which will also be a highlighted cocktail in the Gran Destino Tower’s Barcelona Lounge once it opens in July. Three Bridges Bar & Grill Menu Three Bridges Bar & Grill Menu Sherry Cobbler and Espumoso Punch You can peruse the Beer, Cider, and Hard Sparkling Water selections. Three Bridges Bar & Grill Menu Three Bridges Bar & Grill Menu And Wine is available by the glass or by the bottle. Three Bridges Bar & Grill Menu Spanish Specialty Coffee drinks are also available. Three Bridges Bar & Grill Menu Café Bombon and Barraquito Visiting on a cool night? You’re covered with some Hot Beverages. Three Bridges Bar & Grill Menu And there are also choices for those drinking “Zero Proof” (non-alcoholic)! A Berry Mint Smash and Prickly Pear Te Limonada go to show that thought and creativity has gone into the mocktails, too. Three Bridges Bar & Grill Menu And now for FOOD! Three Bridges Bar & Grill Spread The offerings start with Spreadable/Dippable/Shareable options including a Curry-Lentil Hummus served with Naan Bread and crackers and Szechuan Peppercorn Wings. Three Bridges Bar & Grill Menu Sandwich/Salads/Entrees feature Crispy Chicken Biscuit Sliders and Harissa Lamb Chops among the offerings. And you can finish with some Warm Churros or a Vanilla Custard Mickey Tart for Dessert. But we’ve only just begun… We started our meal with two of the Specialty Cocktails, taking suggestions from our server with the Sherry Cobbler and the Espumoso Punch. Sherry Cobbler and Espumoso Punch The Espumoso Punch is blended Fonseca Bin 27 Port with Combier Crème de Mure, lime, orange, and Freixenet Blac de Blacs Brut Cava… all garnished with fresh fruit. Espumoso Punch It’s served slightly frozen with the emphasis on the sparkling wine, but with a great burst of fruit flavors. The wine especially pairs well with the orange. It’s a great drink on its own… but it was slightly outshone by the Sherry Cobbler. Emilio Hidalgo Pedro Ximenez Sherry is mixed with sweet & sour and orange, and is also served with fresh fruit. Sherry Cobbler The sour and orange flavors mixing with the hint of raisin flavor from the sherry is simply terrific. The drink may appear too brown at first glance from what you’re expecting with the name, but it’s worth it. That said, it is quite sweet, making one plenty enough. But it’s a good one. Moving on to the Spreadable/Dippable/Shareable appetizers… Appetizers The signature appetizer of the house is the Warm Manchego and Oaxaca Cheese Dip served with house-made blue tortilla chips. Warm Manchego and Oaxaca Cheese Dip When served, it was all drizzled with fresh squeezed lime by our seriously awesome and knowledgeable server. (Thanks, Lauri!) Warm Manchego and Oaxaca Cheese Dip The highlight here are the hints of heat and smoke from the chorizo lending even more flavor to the cheese. You could seriously eat this whole thing with a spoon, and it deserves its signature status. The Fried Shrimp Corn Dogs come with Smoked Paprika Fries. They are served with a remoulade and a lemon aioli for dipping. Fried Shrimp Corn Dogs The Florida Sun Shrimp which make up the “dogs” are surrounded by thick, golden cornbread. Fried Shrimp Corn Dog The sweetness from the shrimp pairs well with the dipping sauces, and they’re for sure an awesome choice (one of the favorites from the night)! Fried Shrimp Corn Dogs From the Sandwiches/Salads/Entrees, you can probably already tell from their entry on the menu that the Harissa Lamb Chops are not your typical bar food. Harissa Lamb Chops They’re served with mint yogurt, cucumber and tomato relish, and pita. The chops have a beautiful char lending a crisp on the outside. Harissa Lamb Chops The meat is super tender and so nicely seasoned with a slight salt and pepper kick (though not spicy). Harissa Lamb Chops And it tastes terrific with the mix of harissa and cooling mint yogurt. The Grilled Skirt Steak is served atop a baguette with pepper relish and topped with a perfectly cooked egg. Classic! Grilled Skirt Steak Seriously. Perfect. Grilled Skirt Steak It’s also super tasty together with the sweet and spicy relish. Grilled Skirt Steak Oh, and the steak is good, too ! For Dessert, the Warm Churros here are not exactly like what you receive in a park. The whole batch is super light and fluffy, and not remotely greasy. Warm Churros They are also rolled in esplette pepper sugar for just a slightly different flavor. Warm Churros The one potential improvement here is that the chocolate sauce could be thicker. There is more to the Vanilla Custard Mickey Tart than the name implies. Mickey is served with compressed pineapple and a tropical sorbet. Vanilla Custard Mickey Tart The vanilla custard tart features a graham cracker crust, and when it comes together with the pineapple and the huge burst of lemon from the tropical sorbet, the flavors and textures really pop! Vanilla Custard Mickey Tart We enjoyed our desserts with two of the Spanish Specialty Coffee drinks. Desserts with Spanish Specialty Coffees The Café Bombon (a non-alcoholic drink) is espresso with the unexpected (but quite delicious, as it turns out) addition of sweetened condensed milk. Café Bombon The espresso and sweetened condensed milk also form the base of the Barraquito, which features Licor 43, foamed milk, and lemon zest as well. Barraquito It’s full of flavor yet not overpowering, with the espresso and liquor blending well together. It’s worth coming back for, and was a great way to end our first visit to Three Bridges Bar & Grill. Overall Okay, Three Bridges Bar & Grill is pretty darn great. Creative cocktails and tasty food in a simultaneously relaxing and fun setting — complete with a great view! — all add up to one heck of a winner for the newest dining option at Coronado Springs Resort… and it makes us even more excited for all that is still to come to the Resort this summer. Some logistics! The current posted hours of operation for Three Bridges Bar & Grill are 4:30 PM to 12:00 AM. Three Bridges Bar & Grill requires one Table Service credit for guests on the Disney Dining Plan. Currently accepted discounts include Disney Vacation Club, Annual Passholder, and Cast Coupon discounts. Tables in Wonderland, however, is not accepted at this time. Three Bridges Bar & Grill does not — at press time (and likely for the foreseeable future, as a lounge) — take Advance Dining Reservations. Would you like to dine at Three Bridges Bar & Grill? Members of the Disney Parks Moms Panel are here to give you several magical reasons why now is the absolute best time to head over to the Happiest Place on Earth! “If you are like me, you’ll find now is the perfect time to visit the Disneyland Resort,” explains Tony. “With a new high school graduate in the family and Father’s Day coming up, we figured there is no better time and no better way to celebrate than by spending time in sunny California this June.” Kristin adds, “it’s also the perfect time to enjoy the benefits of summer in the parks, because of the gorgeous weather, longer daylight, and did I mention the crowds are lower?” Exciting new offerings also have our Disneyland panelists excited about the summer of 2019. Tony is especially thrilled to see “Disneyland Forever” returning to the night sky. “The amazing nighttime spectacular ‘Disneyland Forever’ debuted as part of the Disneyland Resort Diamond Anniversary celebration. I am so thrilled this exciting show is returning to Disneyland park this June. Once again, I’ll get to experience all the emotions, all the hopes, all the dreams of this beloved and immersive fireworks spectacular. I especially like how the various excellent viewing locations of “Disneyland Forever” fill the entire park with energy and magic.” And Jennifer is eagerly awaiting to be Soarin’ Over California again. “This month in Disney California Adventure park, I can’t wait to experience the return of the fan-favorite Soarin’ Over California. Guests can fly above the Golden State and take in some familiar sights and smells in this iconic attraction as it returns for a limited run through June 30, 2019.” “Since summer is all about enjoying the great outdoors, I’m excited to check out the brand-new outdoor musical production, ‘Tale of the Lion King,’ which recently debuted at Disney California Adventure park,’’ Kristin states. “I grew up with the characters and songs of Disney’s “The Lion King,” and I can’t wait for my children to fall in love with them, too!” And all three can’t say enough about the reimagined Sleeping Beauty Castle, and for Tony and his family, it’s a must-stop for their annual family photo. “Sleeping Beauty Castle is the most recognizable icon of the Disneyland Resort. 60 years after the release of the film ‘Sleeping Beauty’ a refurbishment of this beloved attraction began. Now that the castle has once again been revealed, it sparkles in resplendent glory, beckoning everyone to enter into a ‘world of yesterday, tomorrow and fantasy.’ The castle is one of my family’s favorite photo backdrops. Definitely Instagram worthy!” Jennifer even recommends making sure you strike a pose with the help of some Disney PhotoPass photographers to capture the beauty of this Disneyland icon! Grand Floridian Cafe at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa has become one of our favorite spots to dine for breakfast and brunch (click here to see why!). And one of our favorite entrees is a hack that marries two classic dishes: fried chicken and waffles (Mickey-style, if you so desire). Grand Floridian Cafe Chicken and Waffles Hack We’ve been hacking this dish for a while now (with thanks to Michael over at @DisneyNumNums for the idea), and the combination of buttermilk fried chicken (made with Corn Flake crumbs!) and a toasty Belgian or Mickey waffle is awesome. The sriracha honey drizzle that comes alongside: also terrific. Buttermilk Fried Chicken and Waffles And evidently Grand Floridian Cafe has heard the siren call of the hack… and clapped back by making it part of the menu all the time! They’ve leveled-up that waffle, though, by making it a cherrywood-smoked bacon malted waffle, but they’ve also kept that yummy sriracha-honey! Grand Floridian Cafe Menu That’s right, no more hacking necessary: just order, eat, and enjoy! Thank you, hackers of the World, for making this dream a reality! Epcot’s International Food and Wine Festival begins August 29 and runs until November 23. That’s 87 days of food booths, demos, Eat to the Beat Concerts, and more! With a Festival of this size (we’re expecting 30+ booths this year!), it’s impossible to see and do it all. So here are a few hidden secrets about the Food and Wine Festival as you start your planning. Epcot Food and Wine Festival Booth 1. You can meet your favorite celebrity chef! Epcot’s Food & Wine Festival attracts celebrated chefs from all over the country, and they bring their expertise, personal stories, and great food to Festival fans. If you know where to go and what to do, you can meet your favorite celebrity chef! Many chefs will participate in meet-and-greets after their presentations, and in years past, you haven’t even needed to attend the event to get access to the meet-and-greet. Chef Carla Hall But you’ll need to check in bright and early at the festival info booth and inquire about meet-and-greets for the day. In some cases bracelets for the meet are distributed, and it’ll be first come, first served in that scenario. If you simply want to see your favorite chef in action, reserve your spot at her or his demonstration or seminar ASAP. Find details on chef seminars here! 2. The Festival is on — even in the rain! Yup, Food & Wine is rain or shine — most of the time. The Festival booths, located all around the World Showcase, only shut down if the inclement weather is dangerous, so an afternoon shower isn’t going to bring the fun to an abrupt end. In fact, if you stick around during the rain, you’ll likely catch shorter lines because lots of guests won’t wait it out. Food Booths only close in extreme inclement weather So pack a poncho and wear some shoes you don’t mind splashing through puddles with — and continue enjoying the Festival! 3. Use your Disney Dining Plan to the fullest! If you’re on the Disney Dining Plan during your Food and Wine visit, be sure to save up those snack credits (and/or some quick service credits) to use at the Festival’s food booths! That’s right: most food booth items are snack credit eligible (with the notable exception of alcoholic beverages!), and because those booth items can be a little pricey, spending your snack credits at food booths is often a good value on DDP. Ireland Eats!! And we’re not just talking snack credits because you can actually cash in a quick service DDP credit for food booth items, too. There are a couple things you’ll need to know. Quick service credits convert to three snack credits, but you must use all three at one location and all at the same time. So if you know there’s a booth where you want to sample all of the menu items, you can plan to use a quick service credit to do so! Occasionally you may encounter a cast member who has not been trained in how to do this, so mileage can vary. (Try asking for a supervisor if your cast member needs some extra assistance with this!) 4. You may be able to get a discount on your event! Believe it or not, Food and Wine special events often accept discounts for Passholders, DVC members, Tables in Wonderland members, Golden Oak residents, and other affinity groups. These discounts are typically amount to $2 off seminars and demonstrations, Mondays through Thursdays. Just mention your affiliation when you make your reservation, and the reservations pro you’re talking to can go through the process of applying your discount(s). Representative Sharing Information About Shipyard Beer 5. There are several Food and Wine Festival merchandise lines — make sure to find them all! If you’re planning to shop-’til-you-drop at Food and Wine (or you just want to get a memento to remember your time at the Festival), keep in mind that there are several merchandise lines. Each line will feature different, themed merchandise, including Brews Around the World, Taste Your Way Around the World, Chef Minnie merch, Figment finds, etc., so you may want to see what’s available in each line before making your final decisions. (And check back with DFB because we share a preview of the merch before and at the start of the Festival!) 2019 Epcot Food and Wine Festival merchandise ©Disney 6. You can do the Festival in one day — but you’ll need some help. It is possible to complete your must-do Food & Wine Festival list in a day, but you sure can’t do everything. Even if you’ve narrowed things down considerably, you’re going to need some help to figure out the most efficient and practical way to get it all done. The DFB Guide to the 2019 Epcot Food & Wine Festival has a One-Day Strategy that can help you make a realistic plan of attack. Make a list of Must Try eats and drinks! Your primary focus will be attending one low-cost seminar OR a special event, then reserving the rest of your time to eat around the World Showcase food booths. Be sure to check the full menus before you go so that you can prioritize the booths you need to visit. And if you’ve got more than one day, we have a strategy for that, too! 6. You can still make ADRs during the Festival. Even if you plan to enjoy plenty of Food & Wine food booth offerings, it’s possible to enjoy some special Advance Dining Reservations, too. But you’ll want to be thoughtful about when and where to book them. Consider ADRs outside of Epcot so you can get a break from the crowds. And if you’re visiting other parks during your trip, plan your ADRs for those park days. That way you won’t have to pass on some epic Food & Wine items in anticipation of a big meal later in the day. Enjoy your Advance Dining Reservations outside of Epcot if you can Another approach, if you must schedule an ADR for your Epcot day, is to make it really early or really late in the day. This will hopefully allow you to snack around the Festival for the rest of the day without compromising your enjoyment of the ADR. 7. The Festival is better in half-day chunks. If you can schedule your Food & Wine visit over several days of your vacation, you’ll give yourself some flexibility — and that means getting out of Dodge when the crowds get too unmanageable or pacing yourself on all those heavy appetizer-sized portions. We recommend going to the Food and Wine Festival booths right as they open at 11AM, eating around for a few hours, then going elsewhere — and repeating that for a few days. It allows you to get some great food before the masses descend each day, and it relieves the pressure of having to get to all of your target booths in one day. Pace yourself to enjoy more Croissant Doughnuts! It’s no secret that Epcot’s International Food & Wine Festival is a massive endeavor, and we know it can be overwhelming. That’s one reason we’ve assembled decades of Food & Wine experience in the DFB Guide to Epcot Food & Wine 2019. This eBook discusses literally every aspect of the Festival and includes exclusive daily schedules to help you plan. A food and wine index and descriptions of all the Special Events are other useful tools — but that’s just the beginning. Ready to Plan for Your 2019 Epcot Food and Wine Festival Trip? Oh my gosh, you guys. White Water Snacks in Disneyland Resort launched its June Hot Dog of the Month and IT. IS. EPIC… especially for the heat seekers out there! Jalapeño Pop-Dog Aptly titled the Jalapeño Pop-Dog, each hot dog is covered in generous helpings of jalapeños, herbs and what appears to be the cream cheese-based filling of a classic jalapeno popper. Served with a side of kettle chips, one of these “Pop-Dogs” could make quite a fabulous lunch, if you ask me… especially if they serve the japalenos in “hidden Mickey” style as seen above! Kiddos may not be too wild about the jalapeño flavor, but that just means there’s more for the parents to enjoy, right? Back in March, I shared exciting news about the reopening of Rafiki’s Planet Watch, Affection Section and the Wildlife Express Train this summer including all of the offerings our guests love. Today, I am happy to announce that we’ll also be introducing a brand-new additional experience drawing on our rich heritage of wildlife animation, inspired by Walt Disney’s own passion for ensuring his animators could develop realistic characters and settings by spending time with animals. In honor of our celebration of Disney’s “The Lion King,” we’ll be launching The Animation Experience at Conservation Station, offering our guests the opportunity to learn how live animals have inspired some of the most iconic characters from this beloved “tail.” You’ll learn more about some of the animals who call our park home and then have the chance to create a personalized piece of Disney art through an instructor-led animation class. As you’d expect, some of your favorite characters from “The Lion King” will be the stars of The Animation Experience, which will start when Rafiki’s Planet Watch reopens on July 11. Come learn how to draw Simba, Zazu, Pumbaa, Timon and more. Each session will be different so be sure to visit often to complete the collection. Disney FastPass+ Service will be offered for the experience, and you can make those selections starting later today.
