  1. As passionate fans of both Star Wars AND tiki, we already have a Mandalorian tiki mug and a Baby Yoda tiki mug, but our collection could really use a good punch bowl. Especially one in the shape of a giant droid! © Geeki Tikis, Star Wars Tiki Mugs Now thanks to the new release of an AMAZING new Star Wars-inspired mug, we have a feeling happy hour just got a LOT more fun! In honor of the 40th anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back (time REALLY flies, huh?), the tiki geniuses from Geeki Tikis have released an epic punch bowl in the shape of a giant AT-AT — that’s “All Terrain Armored Transport,” in case your trivia of Star Wars vehicles is a little dusty. Star Wars Shirt In the movie, these massive machines ambled around on tree-sized legs, blasting away anything in their path. Fortunately with this new tiki mug, there’s no intergalactic combat involved! AT AT Tiki Punch Bowl ©Geeki Tikis The 40-oz. ceramic gray mug features an AT-AT sprawled out with its legs down, so you don’t need to worry about balancing your punch on robotic stilts! AT AT Tiki Punch Bowl ©Geeki Tiki It does the classic film proud with The Empire Strikes Back logo on the front and the number “40” on the bottom of one of its feet. AT AT Tiki Punch Bowl ©Geeki Tikis This is a limited-edition exclusive, and there are only 2,000 (!) of these bad boys available for purchase! So if you’re a fan of Star Wars or cool tiki mugs (or both!), then this punch bowl NEEDS to join your collection! It sells for $80.00, so be sure and grab one today! 2. One of our favorite dining locations at Disney World is at BOMA at Animal Kingdom Lodge. It’s also the restaurant where we discovered one of our absolute favorite snacks: Zebra Domes! Unfortunately, BOMA is still closed even months after the parks’ reopening. Zebra Domes Zebra Domes were also previously available at The Mara at Animal Kingdom Lodge, but guess what? That’s closed, too! WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO? It’s okay. Take a deep breath and relax. Because Zebra Domes are still available at Animal Kingdom Lodge at Kidani Village’s Johari Treasures. Zebra Domes from Johari Treasures at Kidani Village at Animal Kingdom Lodge So what exactly is a Zebra Dome? It’s an Amarula Cream Liquor mousse surrounded by a layer of white chocolate, which is drizzled with chocolate and chocolate shavings. And underneath it all is a thin base of cake. If you’re a fan of tiramisu, you’ll love Zebra Domes (you can read our review here). Zebra Domes We’ve seen them at Kidani before, but we thought it was important to let you know you can still get them there. Because if you’re like us, you get cravings for these perfect little domes of wonderfulness. Zebra Domes A pack of four costs $4.29. And there are even gluten-free Zebra Domes! Gluten Free Zebra Domes at Johari Treasures at Kidani Village at Animal Kingdom Lodge Everyone can enjoy zebra domes! That makes us so happy! Yes, we know that not EVERYONE likes them, but for those of us who do, we’re glad we can still enjoy them from time to time. We’re so glad that Animal Kingdom Lodge still carries these snacks, especially since the other two locations that had them are currently unavailable. We know exactly where to go when the Zebra Dome urge strikes us! Here’s what we thought of the new pumpkin snacks at Starbucks! Are you happy that zebra domes are still available? Let us know in the comments! The “Just One Bite” hat at Disney World has been one of our favorites, but it’s really more of a fall accessory, ya know? 11. EPCOT has been full of fun surprises recently with so many goodies for the Food and Wine Festival! Japan Pavilion While we’ve been back in the Japan Pavilion to have Frothy Ramen and pick up some fabulous silk face masks (and even a few very strange skincare masks), you might be subbing out your regular ole’ Halloween candy for these new goodies in EPCOT! Mitsukoshi is known for bringing both merchandise and cuisine from Japan into the World Showcase for guests to pick up. The crunchy crabs might not be our favorite snack ever, but the new Strawberry Kit Kats look like an absolute dream instead! Strawberry Kit Kat The sweet snacks taste like strawberries covered with white chocolate, which works so well with the Kit Kat crunch we all know and love. Strawberry Kit Kat Since the Strawberry Kit Kats aren’t available in most places in the United States, you might want to grab a bag ASAP for $9.49 over at EPCOT’s Japan Pavilion! But, maybe you should hide these away from your kids as a special Halloween candy binge this year just for yourself. ;D Strawberry Kit Kat If you’re looking to broaden your snacking horizons, we definitely recommend grabbing some of the awesome treats that are in Mitsukoshi. And, you can also check out all the awesome food booths that have popped up for the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival while you’re at it! Want to take a look at other things happening in EPCOT? 12. Although we’ve loved running around to our favorite rides and restaurants in the parks, we totally miss relaxing on the PeopleMover (which happens to be one of the best ways to beat the heat, in our opinion!). Peoplemover Closed As one of Magic Kingdom’s oldest and most popular attractions, PeopleMover takes guests on a ride around Tomorrowland to look inside the attractions and other parts of the park. However, since Disney World closed back in March, we haven’t seen the attraction open again in Tomorrowland (even during the re-opening back in July). Previously, the attraction refurbishment calendar only listed the attraction as being closed through October 31st of this year. While we were holding out hope for its return just in time for the end of spooky season, now Disney World has the PeopleMover listed as unavailable through November 21st. ©Disney We’re not sure exactly when the refurbishment will be finished, considering PeopleMover was seeing some break-downs and even a possible fire. However, we can say that we miss it dearly and hope to see it making its return to Tomorrowland soon (Magic Kingdom just isn’t the same without it!). 16. Maybe the best thing about fall at Disney World is that everything gets a pumpkin makeover, including the food! This includes some of the snacks at The Trolley Car Cafe in Hollywood Studios, which serves up some of Starbucks’ best pumpkin treats! Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew and Pumpkin Scone from The Trolley Car Cafe at Hollywood Studios This time, though, we decided to forego our usual Pumpkin Spice Latte and try something different (but still pumpkin, obviously!). Instead, we ordered the Pumpkin Scone and the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew! The Pumpkin Scone is quite good: it’s not too sweet, and you can definitely taste the cinnamon and spices. Pumpkin Scone from Trolley Car Cafe Hollywood Studios Like really, the spice is DEFINITELY there! Also, just look at all this pumpkiny goodness! Pumpkin Scone from The Trolley Car Cafe at Hollywood Studios The frosting also adds just enough sweet, although we could really just eat the scone without it. But even with the frosting, it’s not sickly sweet. Pumpkin Scone from The Trolley Cart Cafe at Hollywood Studios So what can we say about the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew? While this new drink may not have the reputation of the established Pumpkin Spice Latte, it’s one we have loved so far this season! The perfect combination of cream and pumpkin goodness, it’s been our go-to fall drink for hot Florida days! Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew and Pumpkin Scone from The Trolley Cart Cafe at Hollywood Studios You can get the Pumpkin Scone for $3.29 and a Grande Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew for $4.79. We’ll keep you updated on all the pumpkin snacks around the parks, so stay tuned! Here’s what we thought about another pumpkin-spiced snack that just returned to Disney World! 17. Labor Day Weekend has been a pretty telling time in Disney World since it’s the first official holiday back in the parks! Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run on Labor Day Weekend While Disney Park Pass availability sold out for Saturday and Sunday this weekend, the parks have looked a little more normal than we expected them to be. However, Disney has already started putting spooky entertainment, treats, and merchandise in place for the Halloween season that guests from all realms are going to want to see. As Annual Passholders return back to the parks to see everything decked out in ghostly gear, Disney Park Pass reservations for October are sold out in Disney’s Hollywood Studios during the weekends! Along with Saturdays and Sundays being sold out in Hollywood Studios… ©Disney …Magic Kingdom is sold out almost every weekend too, except for October 18th and October 25th currently! Disney’s Animal Kingdom is also getting popular during the Halloween season since the park doesn’t have Annual Passholder reservations available on October 3rd, October 4th, and October 10th. Cinderella Castle Since Disney could always release a new round of Annual Passholder reservations as it gets closer to October, we’ll check back to make sure you know when and where you can visit during the holidays! If you’re wondering how the Disney Park Pass system or other new features might affect your Disney World vacation, pop us a question so we can help you find the answer! 24. We LOVE a good Cosmo! From Hawaiian Cosmos to rarities like the Cosmo Slush, we don’t discern when it comes to this vodka-based classic! Disney Springs Our latest Cosmo obsession? We spotted a specialty version at Disney Springs, and it came with a sparkling surprise! Apparently the mixologists at Disney Springs are feeling whimsical these days because this new Summer Daze Cosmo we tried comes with SPARKLES! Yep…it’s shimmers, you guys…it’s awesome. Sparkly Cosmo at Disney Springs Now, we’ll always have a soft spot in our hearts for Blue Cosmo Cocktails, but much like Sleeping Beauty’s Flora would say, it’s hard to beat pink! Did someone say “boozy apple slush”? Here’s what else is NEW at Disney Springs! This new drink we tried is closer to the classic, rosy-hued Cosmo we all know and love. It packs a pleasant punch of tartness from cranberry juice and other juices, which keeps the drink balanced and mellows out the sweetness without overwhelming the drink. There’s a hefty punch from the Absolut Citron and Cointreau in there as well! Sparkly Cosmo at Disney Springs Nice and strong, it’s served with a lime wedge on the rim, so you can spritz some extra acidity if you’d like to adjust the sweetness and tartness! The coolest part of all is that shimmer! The drink is jazzed up with drinkable sparkles that flicker in the sunlight as you sip and swirl — it’s magical mixology! We’ve seen this sorcery before ’round Disney World. Last year when Arendelle Aqua was the “it” color, The Daily Poutine offered up a shimmering blue Arctic Punch featuring the same edible shimmer. The lime adds a nice squirt of acidity If you’re a Cosmo loyalist, then this is the drink for you — especially if you like a little luster with your liquor! Be sure to give it a quick stir every so often to “reactivate” the shimmer! We picked one up for $15 at a pop-up drink stand at the colonnade in the Town Center portion of Springs, so mosey over to try a sip! There are even MORE new cocktails to try at Disney Springs! 25. If you’re headed to Walt Disney World soon, you may be wondering how long you’ll have to wait in line to ride some of your favorite attractions now that there is limited capacity in the parks and Park Pass reservations are required in order to enter. Walt Disney World Resort Entrance We took a look at the wait times this week, and we’ve got a list of the 7 attractions with the shortest wait times from this week! Read through and let us know — how many did you guess?? Our Scientific Method To determine which attractions had the shortest wait times, we took some screenshots of the wait times at all four parks as displayed on the My Disney Experience app at various times each day throughout the week. EPCOT Wait Times on August 30th at 4PM We mainly looked at the wait times from Monday, Tuesday, and Friday of this week. We also glanced quickly at the wait times on Wednesday and Thursday to make sure none of the attractions with wait times on the lower end had busier days that would knock them off the list. (And we’re glad we did because some attractions — like Kali River Rapids — which had really low wait times for most of the week, was a bit busier on Thursday and ended up being taken off of our list.) Kali River Rapids © Disney If the attraction was temporarily unavailable at any time, we simply didn’t count that into the average. But enough about the method to the madness…let’s check out the results! 1 — The Barnstormer It’s probably no surprise that The Barnstormer in Disney World’s Magic Kingdom had an average wait time of about 6 minutes throughout the week. It had some days where the wait time hit 10 minutes, but we really didn’t see it go above that. The Barnstormer It’s definitely a good introductory roller coaster for the little ones. Before they hit Space Mountain or even Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, you can take your kids on this ride to see if they’re ready for the bigger thrills. It’s pretty quick and, with that short wait time, may be a good choice if you’re just looking for a quick walk-on ride. The wait time is also low because it’s usually only popular with only the youngest Disney fans (and their parents). 2 — Dumbo the Flying Elephant Another one for the kiddos, Dumbo the Flying Elephant in Magic Kingdom had an average wait time of about 5 minutes throughout the week. It was pretty consistently at a 5 minute wait, but hit 10 minutes on occasion. Dumbo in Magic Kingdom While Dumbo may not be the most thrilling ride in Magic Kingdom, it’s definitely a classic. Whether you’re 6 or 26, it’s sure to bring a smile to your face. Plus, you can get some nice views of Magic Kingdom while you’re soaring up in the air. Why does this one have a shorter wait? Basically it’s TWO rides! Because everyone who was anyone wanted to ride Dumbo, Disney World expanded it and doubled capacity when Storybook Circus was built. So now it can accommodate a lot more folks! 3 — Carousel of Progress Carousel of Progress in Magic Kingdom was almost always at a 5 minute wait when we checked the My Disney Experience app, although we did see it hit 10 minutes occasionally. Typically, the most you’ll wait for this attraction is just for the next section in the rotating theatre to open up. © Disney This attraction is another classic, especially for fans of Disney history. Originally created for the 1964 World’s Fair, this ride has been touted as the longest running stage show in American history. It’s definitely a bit longer in terms of ride length, but it’s indoors, in air conditioning, and gives guests a chance to sit down and enjoy a fun story all about family and progress. Plus, how cute is Rover? Why is this one on the lower end of wait times? It’s not as popular as other attractions, for one. But also because it can accommodate a LOT of people at once, since it’s basically a show. 4 — TriceraTop Spin Over in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, there were a few attractions with some relatively short wait times. But the winner was definitely TriceraTop Spin. It essentially had a 5 minute wait all week. TriceraTop Spin If you’ve never ridden this attraction, it’s over in DinoLand USA, and is very much like Dumbo, except you ride along in a triceratops instead of a flying elephant. It’s a ride designed primarily for kids, but if you’re over in this part of Animal Kingdom and looking for something quick to do, the short wait time at this attraction may make it a good option for you! 5 — Journey Into Imagination With Figment It’s probably no surprise that Journey Into Imagination With Figment in EPCOT had a pretty consistent wait time of 5 minutes throughout the week. 2020 Flower and Garden Festival This attraction has been changed significantly from its previous iterations, but Figment has endured and has become the mascot, in a sense, of EPCOT festivals. It’s an attraction the whole family can enjoy as it is not a thrill ride by any means, but it does have some moments that may not be ideal for those who are sensitive to loud sounds or…different…smells, so keep that in mind for your family. But, if you’re looking for a fun attraction with a short wait time and a verrrry catchy theme song, you should stop by this ride during your next trip! Journey Into Imagination has lost a lot of its popularity over the years, largely since its refurbishment and also since EPCOT brought in some other heavy hitter rides to take its place at the top of the heap. So this attraction doesn’t have a high wait time on the busiest of days. 6 — Spaceship Earth Throughout this past week, Spaceship Earth in EPCOT had an average wait time of about 5 minutes. This grand and miraculous ride is a continuous, slow-moving attraction that takes you through various moments in the history of our planet and provides a fun glimpse at the potential future toward the end. Spaceship Earth It’s definitely on the longer side in terms of attraction length, but it is air conditioned and you get to sit the entire time, so it can definitely provide a much needed break from the Florida heat. The attraction was slated to close earlier this year, but it reopened with EPCOT after the park closures and we’ve been able to enjoy it ever since. We’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for any refurbishment news related to this ride and keep you posted on all the latest updates. But, until the situation changes, it’s a ride you can enjoy with a (typically) short wait time, so it may be something you’ll want to add to your park plans for your next visit! Why is the wait so low — thank the Omnimover! This type of continuously moving ride vehicle means people can be loading and unloading simultaneously — ALL. THE. TIME. It makes sure the line is consistently moving. 7 — The Seas With Nemo & Friends Last, but not least, we’ve got The Seas With Nemo & Friends in EPCOT. At some points, it had wait times of 10 or 15 minutes, but overall, the average wait time for this ride was about 6 minutes this week. The Seas With Nemo & Friends If you’ve never been on this ride, it’s a continuously moving dark ride that gives you the chance to see some of our favorites from Finding Nemo including Nemo, Marlin, Dory, Bruce, Crush, and more! At the end, you’ll actually see some of the tanks with live fish in them in the background. It’s got a beautiful queue line, and is a great attraction for families to enjoy together. Once you’ve exited the ride, you can then explore all of the amazing sea creatures in the large tanks throughout the space. Again, it’s not the most thrilling ride, but it’s definitely cute and fun! This one has a short wait time for a combo of the reasons above — only the littlest Disney fans are super excited to ride usually (I know, I know, you love it too!), and the omnimover clamshells mean it’s being loaded and unloaded simultaneously! What About Disney’s Hollywood Studios? You may have noticed that none of the attractions on this list were from Disney’s Hollywood Studios! While some attractions there, like Alien Swirling Saucers, had some wait times of 5 minutes at certain points throughout the day, the Studios attractions with the shortest wait times overall had average wait times of about 10 to 12 minutes. Disney’s Hollywood Studios This could be for a couple of reasons: 1) this is usually the most crowded park as so many guests are clamoring to ride Disney World’s current headliner: Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, and 2) Hollywood Studios has the fewest open attractions and rides of any park right now! That means that, while all those people are waiting for their Rise Boarding Group to be called, they’re stuck riding other things. So those lines stay longish throughout the day. Well, that was a look at the SHORTEST wait times this week! Wondering if things changed on Disney World’s first completely sold out day since reopening?
