  1. Are there cuter plushes in the world than Disney Parks Wishables? We don’t think so. Coco Wishables in Disneyland We spotted the CUTEST new collection of these little plushes yesterday and fell in love immediately. The Coco Wishables just might be our favorite set of plushes in recent memory! So, you can imagine our dismay when we found they were mostly SOLD OUT on shopDisney! Well, do not fret! We found them in BOTH Disneyland AND Disney World! In Disney World, we saw these cuties on display with the other Wishables in the Emporium. They had plenty of the Coco Wishable Blind Bags AND the stand-alone Pepita Wishables available. Today, we spotted the Coco Wishables at Riverside Depot Animal Kingdom. But they were out of the blind bags! Coco Wishables in Disney World Over in Disneyland, we spotted this sweet collection at World of Disney in Downtown Disney. Similarly, they had the blind bags and Pepita on sale. Look at that face! Coco Wishables in Disneyland As a reminder, the blind bags contain either the Héctor Wishable, the Ernesto de la Cruz Wishable, the Miguel Wishable, the Dante Wishable, or the Spirit Dante Wishable! ©shopDisney Whether you get the mystery bag or the stand-alone plush (and whether you’re buying in Disney World or Disneyland), it’ll run you $9.99. We’re SO glad we could find these in person since they’re selling quick online and we’re on the lookout to collect them all! The blind bags are still sold out online but you can get the Pepita Wishable still!! Click here to see more of the Coco Wishables! Which Coco Wishable is your favorite? Tell us in the comments! 4. While strolling through Magic Kingdom today, we heard an overhead announcement about the new safety policies like we’ve grown used to in the reopened parks…but this time it was a little different. Main Street U.S.A. Today, we heard a new voice with a British accent delivering the usual safety guidelines that have become customary in these announcements, but this time, there was yet ANOTHER update! The last time the overhead announcements were updated, verbiage was added regarding the mask removal policy when it comes to eating and drinking. NOW, the announcement also reminds guests of Disney’s policy while taking photos. Updated face mask policy at Disney World Currently, the ONLY times when a guest may remove their mask is when they are located in a Relaxation Station, or when they are in a stationary location while eating or drinking. That means guests CANNOT remove their masks while taking photographs. Yes, your annual family photo in front of the castle this year will include the stylish face masks that you picked out for your vacation! Magic Kingdom The new overhead announcement we heard today reiterated the fact that guests must keep their face masks on while taking photos. We’ll continue to monitor the guidelines and associated announcements, and we’ll keep you in the loop about any further updates! 6. We’re SO CLOSE to the release of Mulan on Disney+! The live-action remake will arrive to the streaming service this Friday, September 4 on Premium Access. ©Disney Ahead of the film’s arrival, we’ve been able to catch a couple of sneak peeks on social media. Today, disneystyle on Instagram shared a behind-the-scenes look at the costume design in the film! The film’s Costume Designer Bina Daigeler explains a bit of the research and work put into the design of Mulan’s iconic warrior costume! Not only was the costumed designed to be a beautiful work of art, but it also needs to play an important role in telling the story! After all, Mulan is a woman in disguise dressed as a male in a men’s army, so the costume has to help her hide! It looks like we have our Labor Day Weekend plans set! This action-packed film is available for Disney+ Premium Access subscribers this Friday, and it will be available to all paid Disney+ subscribers without an additional fee on December 4. 7. Due to the global health crisis, so many of us just can’t make it to Walt Disney World this year. And that makes us sad because we’d love to chow down on some of our favorite treats, including Cheshire Cat Tails, Mickey macarons, and Mickey caramel apples (YUM). Caramel Pecan Milk Chocolate Macaron We have such a massive craving for so many of these goodies, but if we can’t get to Walt Disney World, that often means we just have to go without. Whatever will we do? Although Disney has been kind enough to share many of its most famous recipes with us, is it just us or is it just not the same when you have to make the treats at home? After all, have we really mastered the Dole Whip recipe as good as Disney? For those who live near New York, though, there’s hope! Chantilly Bakery in Bronxville, New York is hosting a Disney Day on Saturday, September 19th from 9AM to 11PM. Disney food fans can begin pre-ordering their special Disney-inspired goodies on Saturday, September 3rd. And we have a feeling that most of these will sell out, so pre-ordering is probably a good idea. Mickey Cinnamon Roll Although Chantilly hasn’t released a full list of what Disney-inspired goodies will be available, we spied a ton of our favorites in the bakery’s Instagram post, including the Colossal Mickey Cinnamon Roll, which isn’t just full of cinnamon and sugary noms, but is also, well…colossal! Peanut Butter Chips Caramel Apple It also seems that special Mickey caramel apples are on the menu, along with Mickey cookies, Tigger Tails (not to be confused with Tiger Tails), Mickey Rice Krispie Treats, as well as some of our other all-time faves. We’re so wishing we were in New York right now to try out these extra magical treats! We’ll be sure to keep you updated on what treats you can find at Chantilly for pre-order, too. Check out our recipe for Norway’s Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe School Bread! So New Yorkers, are you going to check out Chantilly’s Disney Day for yourself? Let us know all about it in the comments. 8. Who put the glad in “gladiator?” We absolutely love the movie Hercules, but the film hasn’t really received as much love as other Disney films, especially when it comes to merch. ©Disney H However, we’ve started to see a renewed interest in Hercules lately. Maybe it’s because a live-action movie is in the works?. Since Disney announced the film, we’ve spotted a lot of great Hercules merchandise at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and online at shopDisney. We don’t know about you, but we are so ready to go the distance with all the Herc merchandise we can handle! Baby Pegasus Bangle by Alex and Ani – Hercules ©ShopDisney Um…we just totally went “awwww” when we saw this adorable baby Baby Pegasus Bangle by Alex and Ani. Although the best part of this bangle is that sweet little baby Pegasus medallion, it’s also expandable, so it can fit on a variety of wrist sizes. 11. If you’ve been with us for a while, you probably know we love cupcakes! Gaston’s Tavern When we’re in Disney World, we tend to keep our eye on the prize — and by prize, we mean delicious cupcakes covered in a mound of icing! Today, we learned that Gaston’s Tavern will be reopening this Friday, and that instantly had us dreaming about Cinnamon Rolls…but it looks like that’s not the ONLY exciting treat in our future. Is that a new cupcake on the menu?! We were checking out the Gaston’s Tavern menu to see what yummy snacks we’re gonna order later this week when we noticed something NEW. Listed in the snacks section, it seems there’s a new treat. The Master’s Cupcake?! Hmm…that sounds somewhat familiar… Gaston’s Tavern Menu Screenshot We’ve spotted a cupcake with that name before, but it wasn’t at Gaston’s Tavern — it was at Be Our Guest Restaurant! This fan-favorite dining location featured a dessert called “The Master’s Cupcake”, made with Chocolate Sponge Cake and Grey Stuff, on the lunch menu prior to the closure. This treat was SERIOUSLY so good! A mound of Grey Stuff instead of icing? Yes PLEASE. Be Our Guest Master’s Cupcake We won’t know if this is the same Master’s Cupcake from Be Our Guest until Gaston’s Tavern opens on Friday, but we won’t complain either way. Maybe we’re seeing the return of an old favorite, or maybe we’re discovering a new one! Stay tuned! Click here to read our full review of the Be Our Guest Master’s Cupcake! 14. If you’re looking for some thrills in EPCOT, you’ll want to check out Test Track. Test Track While the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind roller coaster looks like it’s going to be WAY more intense, Test Track still packs a punch and is one of the more popular rides in EPCOT. But, it seems like this attraction has been experiencing a few issues lately. Yesterday, Test Track had a bit of a delayed opening. There were Cast Members around the attraction letting guests know that it was temporarily unavailable in the morning. Test Track Temporarily Closed September 1st It did, however, open later on in the day. We were informed by a reader around 4:30PM ET yesterday that it was open. Test Track But, it seems like Test Track is experiencing issues again today. Earlier this morning, Test Track was not open. It looks like it was open when we checked at 1:30PM ET, but by around 2:00PM ET it was closed again. We checked around 4:30PM ET and it still appeared to be temporarily closed. 15. The 1980s were a time for perms and re-runs of Footloose, but Disney World was a RAD place to be with experiences we totally miss! Main Street U.S.A. in 1985 However, we’re not the only ones reminiscing about the good ole’ days back in the parks! Disney has been bringing back retro Mickey shirts, hats, and even Star Wars apparel. As we were heading around Downtown Disney today, though, we were thrown for a major loop when we found a huge throwback to a 1980s EPCOT (wait, what??). If you ever got the chance to pop into The Land in the 1980s, you’ll remember when Sunshine Seasons was the “Farmers Market” and Garden Grill was “The Good Turn Restaurant.” Back in the day, Kraft Foods was one of the primary sponsors of the pavilion as they helped provide the funds to build attractions like the Symbiosis film and Listen to the Land. Kitchen Kabaret But, kids would gather all around the Kitchen Kabaret in The Land to listen to the audio-animatronics sing songs about nutrition (“Veggie Veggie Fruit Fruit” was a bop). Even though the attraction has been LONG retired in EPCOT, it got a little life breathed into it over in Disneyland today! Kitchen Kabaret Poster We spotted some adorable posters showcasing attractions like Big Thunder Mountain and the Country Bear Jamboree in the WonderGround Gallery. The Kitchen Kabaret Poster caught our eye with produce and condiments jamming out during their “fresh shows daily.” And, it REALLY made us miss the long-lost show in the parks! Kitchen Kabaret Poster The $39.99 poster is created by illustrator David Perillo, who loves all the throwback and retro items across both Disneyland and Disney World as much as we do! Kitchen Kabaret Poster As we’re patiently waiting for Disneyland to announce its reopening, we’ll keep checking back in the shopping and dining district to see what other throwbacks pop back up into Downtown Disney! Take a look at all the character Disneyland fans we spotted at the World of Disney! What is your favorite throwback Disney attraction? Let us know in the comments below! 18. Nothing celebrates a love for Disney Parks than a brand new pair of ears. And the best part is that ears come in a variety of shapes, colors, and sizes that represent all our favorite things about Disney. World of Disney We’ve seen a slew of new ears since the reopening of Walt Disney World. And we’ve loved nearly every pair we’ve come across. We recently spotted lots of new ears at Downtown Disney. When we first discovered this Emerald Minnie Ears Headband at Walt Disney World, we totally got Wizard of Oz Emerald City vibes. Now, you can pick these gorgeous green ears up on the West Coast at World of Disney at Downtown Disney. Emerald Minnie Ears Headband Also spotted at Downtown Disney’s World of Disney: these Yellow Velvet Minnie Ears! These ears are like a luxurious ray of sunshine and make us think nothing but happy thoughts. Yellow Velvet Minnie Ears Oh, boy! These ears are the best way to say “Hi” ever! We loved the wacky Mickey Glove Ears when we first spotted them at Walt Disney World. They are now also available at World of Disney at Downtown Disney! Wave to Mickey! Mickey Glove Ears Not traveling to Disney anytime soon, you can snag these Mickey Glove Ears online. Get the Mickey Ears online here!! We also decided to pop into The Dress Shop at Downtown Disney to see what’s new. And lo and behold! We spotted the Faux Leather Minnie Ears that we also recently discovered at Walt Disney World. 19. We’re always looking for the latest and greatest snacks around Disney World, but especially in EPCOT! Mexico Pavilion Did you know you can get guacamole at not one, not two, but THREE different spots all in the Mexico pavilion in EPCOT? In the interest of science (of course) we HAD to try them all. Welcome to the Mexico pavilion Guacamole THROW DOWN! Who will emerge victorious? Our Contenders: Let’s introduce contenders for this throw down! First up, the “secret menu” guacamole to go from La Cava del Tequila. La Cava is a small lounge tucked inside the Mexico pavilion. Guacamole from La Cava del Tequila You won’t find this guacamole on their QR menu, so be sure to ask for it specifically if you want to try it. This guacamole contains chile and is served with tortilla chips. Guacamole from La Cava del Tequila Next, introducing the guacamole from Choza de Margarita. Choza de Margarita is a margarita and snack stand that you can find on the outside of the Mexico pavilion. Guacamole from Choza de Margarita The guacamole itself in this dish is the same as the one that is used at La Cava. It contains the same chile in it and is also served with tortilla chips. What makes this one unique is that it is topped with Mango and Pumpkin Seeds. Guacamole from Choza de Margarita Finally, we have the guacamole from La Cantina de San Angel. Guacamole from La Cantina de San Angel This fresh-made guacamole contains red onions in it, is served with tortilla chips, and is topped with tomato. The guacamole in this dish does not contain any chile. Guacamole from La Cantina de San Angel They were all close in price with each of them costing about $10. We tried all of these options and ranked them after careful deliberation. Guacamole from the Mexico Pavilion The results are now officially in. And the winner is… The guacamole from Choza de Margarita! This guacamole takes the top spot for us, no question! We like a bit of spice in our dishes, so we loved the inclusion of the chile in this guacamole. It wasn’t too spicy by any means, but had just enough kick to make it interesting. Guacamole from the Mexico Pavilion Choza’s guacamole edged its way to the front mainly because of the mango topping. Even if you’re not a mango fan, you’ll want to try this. There’s not a lot of mango pieces in it, but when you do get a bite of that sweet and cool mango, mixed with the chile in the guacamole, it’s perfection! It really balances out the flavors. Guacamole from Choza de Margarita In second place, we have the guacamole from…La Cava del Tequila! Guacamole from La Cava del Tequila La Cava’s guacamole takes the second spot because it does have that chile to give it a small kick, but it’s missing all of those wonderful toppings. It’s still a solid choice though! Guacamole from La Cava del Tequila That leaves the guacamole from La Cantina de San Angel in third place. Guacamole from the Mexico Pavilion — Guacamole from La Cantina de San Angel Featured in Front Now, don’t get us wrong, the guacamole from La Cantina is good. We don’t have any complaints about it! If you’re really spice-averse, then this will probably be the best choice for you. Compared to the others, we just felt this one lacked that little kick in spice and flavor. But, it did have the red onions, which was a nice touch. Guacamole from La Cantina de San Angel Overall, we enjoyed all of these options, and we’re definitely looking forward to enjoying our favorites again in the future! Guacamole from the Mexico Pavilion We’ll definitely let you know what other fun snacks we find around Disney World. If there’s another snack throw down you’ve got in mind for us to try, let us know! 23. EPCOT is undergoing quite the transformation at the moment. Remy’s Ratatoutille Adventure Sign From new rides to new pylons, we’re really looking forward to seeing all of the new experiences that will eventually be available at EPCOT. Just yesterday, we flew past EPCOT in the Disney Skyliner and got a peek at the construction going on in the France pavilion. As part of the EPCOT transformation, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure attraction and a new restaurant, La Crêperie de Paris, will be opening in the France pavilion! Our ride in the Disney Skyliner really gave us some great views of the construction in that new area. Click here to check out what it looked like the last time we flew past it. It looks like things are really moving along nicely. France Pavilion Construction The trees are looking great and the exterior of the buildings are all looking wonderful. France Pavilion Construction We spotted a cute fountain in an area where some Cast Members are still actively working. Look for it in the bottom left of the photo below. France Pavilion Construction Seems like construction is still pretty active in this area. There are Cast Members and construction equipment around this spot. France Pavilion Construction It also looks like some more railings were installed around some of the balconies to complete their look. We’d love to see little flowers or plants hanging from those balconies to really give them a lived-in feel. France Pavilion Construction We also got a little bit of a clearer look at the pathway through the trees in this area. The walkway is looking really nice. We cannot wait to stroll down these streets with a crepe in hand from the new crêperie. It looks like some of the construction materials that were on the roof in the bottom right corner of the photo below have also been removed and other parts of the roof have been cleaned up and finished. France Pavilion Construction You can get a little bit better look at that fountain at the end of this walkway and see the Gusteau’s sign in the distance. France Pavilion Construction There was a tarp and more construction equipment on the pathway before, but it looks like quite a bit of that has been removed. It looks like a lamppost is still laying on the floor, waiting to be installed, but a lot of the construction material that was near the buildings has been removed. France Pavilion Construction We’re excited to step into this area and really immerse ourselves in the story. France Pavilion Construction This area was originally scheduled to open this summer, but it’s tough to say if it will still be opening in that same time frame. We’ll keep flying over this area to see if we can spot anything new, and, of course, we’ll keep you up to date on all the latest news! 24. It’s tough work being a Disney Queen. Elsa in Frozen Ever After You gotta balance a love life, battle villains, and all the singing must get tiresome. Well yesterday, a rider named Christie got some footage of a super sleepy Elsa in the Frozen Ever After attraction at EPCOT and shared it on her Twitter. The video shows that Elsa pretty much let everything go! During the Let It Go scene of the ride, Elsa works her magic and guests go soaring backward down the river. Yesterday, Elsa could hardly be bothered with all the silly magic stuff. Her eyes were about half-closed while she sleepily waves her hands to get those pesky guests out of her castle. We get it, girl. We’re over 2020 too. Hopefully, Elsa’s a little more well-rested today! In the meantime, we’ll be watching this hilarious video over and over again.
