  12. Sometimes, it seems like are two kinds of people in this world: Halloween people and Christmas people. Christmas Tree in Epcot Halloween folks have a lot of fall decor and spooky snacks to look forward to soon, and Christmas people, well, it’s 2020, so who cares. It’s time to deck the halls! And no holiday home is complete without a Christmas tree, and the BEST Christmas trees (in our humble opinion) have tons of Disney ornaments on them! Luckily, there’s a ton of new sketchbook ornaments both in the parks and online. Legacy Sketchbook Ornaments We spotted these legacy sketchbook ornaments at Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Magic Kingdom’s Liberty Square, but these ornaments (and more!) are also available on shopDisney, so if you can’t make it to the parks, don’t worry! 13. Earlier this week, we learned that character dining is coming BACK to Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Hollywood Studios Yes, Hollywood & Vine, a buffet in the Echo Lake section of the park is returning on September 25th with some spooky twists, but being able to greet Minnie Mouse and friends from a safe social distance while they were Halloween costumes isn’t the only change… …there are TONS of menu changes as well. Halloween Hollywood and Vine Coming This Year! The BIGGEST change is that Hollywood & Vine will be open for lunch and dinner only. Previously, this spot was available for a breakfast buffet, but for now, you’ll have to get your Mickey Waffles elsewhere. Mickey Waffles So, what will you find for lunch and dinner? Previously, this spot kept things simple with a menu that featured Salads, Freshly Made Soup, Pastas, Baked Breads, Roasted Carved Meats, Crab Claws, Seasonal Fish Peel-n-Eat Shrimp, Chicken Vegetable Creation, House-made Sweets, and Soft-serve Ice Cream. Hollywood & Vine before Now, it seems as though lunch will be served family-style and with an entree choice. The first course will be a family-style salad, where you can choose from a Chopped Salad Bowl with Mixed Greens, Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Red Onion, Cornbread Croutons, and Homemade Smokehouse Ranch Dressing or a Plant-based Chopped Salad Bowl with Mixed Greens, Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Red Onion, Cornbread Croutons, and Plant-based Ranch Dressing. Hollywood & Vine Adult entree choices have also been added to the lunch menu and include: Garlic and Cracked Black Pepper Prime Rib of Beef, Shrimp Macaroni and Cheese, Seared Fresh Salmon with Grain Mustard Beurre Blanc, Carved Herb Roasted Turkey Breast, Pork Osso Bucco, or Pan Roasted King Trumpet Mushrooms. Some of these entrees have been spotted on the buffet line before. Shrimp Macaroni & Cheese Thus far, Disney has not updated their website with children’s menu items. Tater Tots and Corn Dog Nuggets What’s for dessert, you ask? Apple Blueberry Pie, Chocolate S’mores Pie, Cherry Lemon Pie, Banana Cream Pie, or Vanilla Creme Brulee. Pie fans, you are in LUCK! The cocktail menu also got an update. The Captain’s Mai Tai is gone, as is the Celebrity Margarita. But the Grandma’s Picnic Punch (Vodka, Peach Schnapps, Crème de Cassis, Light Lemonade, and Pineapple Juice), Mowie Wowie (Parrot Bay Coconut Rum, Melon Liqueur, Peach Schnapps, Orange Juice, and Pineapple Juice), and Dad’s Electric Lemonade (Vodka, Blue Curaçao, Sweet-and-Sour, and Sprite) are moving over here from 50’s Prime Time Café. Mowie Wowie The full rules and pricing of the new Hollywood & Vine experience have yet to be revealed, but when we eat here, we’ll let you know how it all turns out! And if you want to witness all of these menu changes for yourself, reservations for the Halloween themed lunches and dinners will open on September 11th! 17. It’s been a long year, right?? 2020 Mickey Ornament The global health crisis caused the world to stop, including the Disney theme parks, and even though most of them have reopened around the world, sometimes, ya know, you’re still just not feeling 100%, even if you’re Goofy. But even on those days when you’re not feeling like a normal goof, you still gotta show up to work, and that’s exactly how one Goofy at Disneyland Paris was feeling today. ©Imanoudlp Twitter We’re used to seeing Goofy hyuck and bumble around, but in a viral video from Twitter user @Imanoudlp, the lovable guy can just be seen kind of… standing there while greeting guests in a socially-distanced manner. As Pluto jumps around and wags his tail over to the right, Goofy is just halfheartedly waving, sadly walking about, and crossing his arms. We FEEL ya, dog. (Wait, is Goofy even a dog?!) Maybe Max got a bad report card or Clarabelle turned him down for a date and got back together with Horace…Ya just never know what someone else is going through. Clarabelle Cow Goofy is giving us SERIOUS 2020 vibes, not unlike Elsa on EPCOT’s Frozen Ever After or the face-planted José Carioca on The Gran Fiesta Tour (also at EPCOT). Hopefully Goofy’s slightly bummed out demeanor still made ya smile, and hopefully this goof is feeling Goofy again soon! Here’s how Disneyland Paris is celebrating Halloween this year! France But, we’re always on the lookout for anything new, and sure enough, just yesterday we heard about a new drink coming to the France festival booth. Today, we got the chance to dry this new drink and we’re bring you all the details! Today, we spotted the Rosé Pétillant Méthode Traditionelle Champenoise on the festival booth menu over in France. The Rosé Sparkling Wine in this drink is made in the traditional Champagne Method and is called Pink Flamingo, so this will forever be known to us as the “Pink Flamingo” drink (SO CUTE)! 2020 France Menu The drink was delicious and incredibly smooth. Plus, it was pretty — just look at that cute color! Rosé Pétillant Méthode Traditionelle Champenoise, Rosé Sparkling Wine Pink Flamingo Overall, it had a sweet flavor that wasn’t overbearing. It wasn’t that kind of sweet that sort of punches you in the face. Instead, we felt like it was just the right amount of sweetness to create a good balance. Rosé Pétillant Méthode Traditionelle Champenoise, Rosé Sparkling Wine Pink Flamingo You can get a Pink Flamingo at the France festival booth in EPCOT for $12. While drinks at EPCOT can get expensive, this one was a little bit on the pricier side. But, if you’re looking for a smooth and sweet drink (or if you just love the idea of drinking something called the Pink Flamingo!) this may be a great option for you. 19. Sometimes, nothing beats a good DOLE Whip float. Dole Whip from Marketplace Snacks in Disney Springs Earlier today, we heard about a new Pina Colada DOLE Whip Float that had made its way over to Disney Springs, and (of course) we RAN over to try it. It’s a hard job, but someone’s got to do it! You can find the new Pina Colada Float Topped with DOLE Whip over at Marketplace Snacks in the Marketplace area of Disney Springs. Marketplace Snacks Our special new treat was not listed on the menu and there was no special sign or placard for it either when we went, so we feared the worst! But, thankfully the item was available, you’ve just got to know to ask for it. We found out that the bottom part of the float is a Pina Colada Slush, which is then topped with Pineapple DOLE Whip. Pina Colada Float Topped with DOLE Whip While it isn’t the most exciting or unique combination in the world (we were kind of hoping the bottom would be Coconut DOLE Whip like what is in the Kakamora float), it was still refreshing and it tasted good. The Florida sun was really doing a number on this one though! It started melting really quickly, so it’s definitely one you’ll want to enjoy quickly or get some napkins for. Pina Colada Float Topped with DOLE Whip We asked a Cast Member if the Pina Colada slush used in this float was the same was that used to be available in some of the parks. The Cast Member wasn’t sure, but said it was possible. Pina Colada Float Topped with DOLE Whip You can get this new float in Disney Springs without rum for $5.99, or with rum for $13.25. 20. For a limited time at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, costumes and props are on display from Disney’s “Mulan” that debuts on Disney+ with Premier Access this Friday. These costumes are truly a work of art and are just one example of the incredible production design behind this new film. Inspired by the Chinese “Ballad of Mulan,” the film brings audiences an incredible tale that celebrates the richness of Chinese culture and the power of female strength. A story that is Chinese yet transcends borders, “Mulan” reflects the breadth and depth of Chinese identity. A combination of relatable emotions with awe-inspiring action sequences and breathtaking visuals, “Mulan” is a movie with universal appeal that embodies the timeless themes of honor, family, respect for elders and duty. Filmmakers drew their inspirations for the design from a number of Chinese dynasties, including many elements from the Tang dynasty, which ruled China from 618 to 907. Colors, texture, and shapes all play key parts in the story and look of the film. In total 40 people worked on the costumes over three months. Between three and five costumes were made for the 50 main actors, with over 1,000 costumes made in total. Fabrics were custom dyed and accented with hand embroidery and stitching adding to the authenticity. The costumes for Xianniang, a witch played by Gong Li, were among the most time-consuming and challenging to design. Take a look: For Mulan, played by Yifei Liu, Weta Workshop in New Zealand produced several types of armor, including beauty hero armor, made from different fabrics and different structures that were appropriate for different uses. Red was chosen as an iconic color representing both fire and joy in China. And engraved along the base of a sword belonging to Mulan’s father are the Chinese characters signifying “Loyal Brave True.” Here’s a look at the inspiration behind Mulan’s costume design: Be sure to stop by and see both the Mulan and Xianniang costumes up close while on display along with an exclusive Sneak Peek at Walt Disney Presents and don’t miss “Mulan” streaming exclusively on Disney+ with Premier Access starting this Friday. For more info, visit http://disneyplus.com/mulan. And journey along with Mulan at home, leveraging your talents and discovering what makes you legendary with the “Mulan” Activity Packet. 22. From Macaron Minnie ears, to a Mademoiselle Minnie spirit jersey, we’ve spotted all kinds of fun new things in the France pavilion in EPCOT. The France Pavilion While the new merchandise is all nice, we get especially excited about new food; and today, we got the chance to try a brand new food item at the France festival booth for the 2020 Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival! Yesterday, we shared with you that a new escargot dish was coming to the France festival booth at the 2020 Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. Well, today we went out and got to taste it. Introducing the Feuilleté d’Escargot à la Crème d’Ail et Persil or Escargot in Puff Pastry with Garlic and Parsley Cream Sauce. Feuilleté d’Escargot à la Crème d’Ail et Persil: Escargot in Puff Pastry with Garlic and Parsley Cream Sauce The puff pastry in this dish was perfect! It was crispy and buttery and everything we hoped it would be. There was also a hefty amount of garlic in this dish, which we loved. We could even smell the garlic through our face mask! Those who love escargot will probably adore this. But, even if you don’t love escargot, you’ll probably still find this dish to be pretty delicious. Because the garlic is really predominant in terms of flavor, you won’t get too strong of a taste from the escargot, and you’ll likely still find this snack to be quite enjoyable! Feuilleté d’Escargot à la Crème d’Ail et Persil: Escargot in Puff Pastry with Garlic and Parsley Cream Sauce Overall, we’d say, definitely try it if you’re an escargot fan! If you don’t love the idea of eating snails, but you’re looking to do some adventurous eating, this snack may still be a good option for you since the garlic is so strong and delicious. Still hungry?
