Ever looked up at Cinderella Castle and wished you could take a peek inside? Cinderella Castle Did you know you can eat at a restaurant located inside of the Castle? Cinderella’s Royal Table is a truly unique dining experience that lets you become royalty for the day. The restaurant has been closed since Magic Kingdom’s reopening, but soon guests will able to dine inside the castle again! If you really want to live out your very best princess life, then you’ll want to check out Cinderella’s Royal Table. This special table-service restaurant gives you the opportunity to dine inside of Cinderella Castle. Just look at those views over Fantasyland! Looking out to Fantasyland Reservations were typically not easy to snag for this location and a meal there could get quite expensive. But, if you managed to get in, you had the chance enjoy a meal with true royalty. Before the closure, this spot was a character dining experience where you got to meet some of your favorite princesses including Ariel, Cinderella, Snow White, and more. We STILL Love Meeting Ariel The restaurant has been closed since Magic Kingdom reopened, but it will soon be reopening. Today, Disney announced that Cinderella’s Royal Table will be reopening on September 24th! Cinderella’s Royal Table Guests will be able to dine once again in this enchanted location. Some of the menu items that will be available are roasted chicken breast, tenderloin of beef, and the chef’s fish of the day. Beef Tenderloin But, there’s one MAJOR change that will be coming to this restaurant when it reopens — the princesses will NOT be there to greet guests! That’s right, much like how Chef Mickey’s has reopened without any of its characters, those dining at Cinderella’s Royal Table will not be able to say hello to their princess friends during their meal. It looks like the princesses will be taking a break from their royal guest-greeting duties for now. Even Babies are Enchanted by Snow White! If you want to check out this spot during your next Disney trip, you can make reservations on the Disney website or the My Disney Experience app for Cinderella’s Royal Table beginning September 11th. Disney World has been open for almost two months now, but there are still a LOT of closed restaurants. Gastons Tavern Today, we got some super exciting news that several iconic Disney World restaurants will be reopening. Soon, we’ll be returning to Cinderella’s Royal Table in Magic Kingdom and Hollywood & Vine in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. But guess what — Disney also just announced the reopening dates for TWO fan-favorite quick service spots. Let’s take a look! The first to return is Gaston’s Tavern in Fantasyland. The location will reopen to guests THIS FRIDAY, September 4th. We did see this coming since we spotted some Cast Members outside the spot but we’re SO excited it’s confirmed! And you can bet we have our fingers crossed that the DELICIOUS Cinnamon Roll is returning too! Cinnamon Roll at Gaston’s Tavern Over in Hollywood Studios, ABC Commissary will be reopening for quick-service lunch beginning October 8th. It’s a good thing too! We could use another way to refuel after using all of our energy to beat our friends at Toy Story Mania. Fall is just around the corner and recently we’ve shared some pretty exciting updates about Halloween fun planned for Magic Kingdom Park and tasty treats that will be available at all our parks. As part of our phased approach to reopening, we’re adding more Guest-favorite dining choices this fall at Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios – which you’ll definitely want to add to your fall dining must-do list. At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, there’s some Halloween fun in store at Hollywood & Vine where Minnie’s Seasonal Dining is set to return Sept. 25. While it may look a little different than the last time you visited, you can get in the spooky spirit during Minnie’s Halloween Dine with a monster feast served to your table where you will be able to wave and snap photos of your favorite characters such as Minnie Mouse, Mickey Mouse and their friends. It’s a boo-tastic time filled with Halloween décor and music, scary good food, and more! Beginning Sept. 24, Guests can enjoy dining in the enchanted, fairytale setting of Cinderella’s Royal Table at Magic Kingdom Park. Enjoy a delicious regal banquet with unforgettable main courses ranging from roasted chicken breast and tenderloin of beef to chef’s fish of the day. The princesses will be taking a break from their royal duties greeting Guests, but there will be plenty of delicious fare and fun to be enjoyed in this beautiful, one-of-a-kind restaurant. Both of these immersive dining experiences will be available for reservations on DisneyWorld.com and in the My Disney Experience app beginning Sept. 11. Additionally, some more snack and quick-service options are reopening soon! Gaston’s Tavern at Magic Kingdom Park will return Sept. 4 and the ABC Commissary at Disney’s Hollywood Studios reopens for walk-in quick service for lunch beginning Oct. 8. It’s Food and Wine season over in EPCOT (and you know that means we’ve been wearing our stretchy pants for days). France Pavilion This year, there are SO many great booths, along with three ones that reopened just last weekend! But, one of our favorite places to stop by is definitely France thanks to the sweet pastries and amazing sips. Along with bringing back a few treats from the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival, the France booth has both sweet and savory treats that are a must-have during Food and Wine. Just yesterday, we shared that France was adding a new Escargot dish to their menu. Now, they’re adding a drink as well! Raspberry Macaron The Rosé Pétillant Méthode Traditionelle Champenoise will be making its way onto the menu. But, the cutest part of the drink is that the Rosé Sparkling Wine is made using a traditional champagne method called PINK FLAMINGO!! We don’t know about you guys, but any drink with the word “flamingo” has our name all over it! ©L’Artisan des Glaces After you’ve grabbed your snack and drink from France, you can also take a look at all the Food and Wine merchandise that has finally made its way to EPCOT this week! As you may know, nabbing dining reservations at Walt Disney World table service restaurants often takes a lot of planning, patience, and luck. However, as we also know, things are pretty different in the parks right now! Disney’s Hollywood Studios entrance Recently, Disney World added a new option for guests wanting to dine at select table restaurants: the mobile dine walk-up waitlist. And the good news is that Disney keeps adding this option to more restaurants! This new feature allows guests to add their name to a virtual waitlist for select Disney World restaurants. Therefore, you don’t need a reservation! You can learn how to use the new feature here. New locations have been added to this feature frequently, and we are very happy to report that four restaurants at Hollywood Studios have recently been added to the mobile dine walk-up waitlist service. This includes 50’s Prime Time Cafe, that place where we go when we want some classic old-fashioned Mom-style food (and attitude). Nabbing one of those coveted seats in front of the TV has never been easier! 50s Prime Time Cafe Servers The Hollywood Brown Derby is also getting the mobile dine walk-up waitlist treatment. Now guests who want to dine in Golden Age Hollywood have a better shot at getting a seat to enjoy that amazing Grapefruit Cake! Trust us: there’s a reason that cake has been on the restaurant’s menu for so long: it’s a must! Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano can be a great place to nom on some spaghetti and meatballs and other Italian-inspired goodies. It also now offers the mobile dine walk-up waitlist option, so getting a table just became a bit easier. Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano at Hollywood Studios Who doesn’t love combining eating with an old-fashioned drive-in theater experience? This is what makes the Sci-Fi Dine-In Restaurant so fun (it’s all about the atmosphere!), and now it’s even easier to grab a seat in one of its cars, thanks to the mobile dine walk-up waitlist. Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Let’s face it: Oga’s Cantina in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is still a tricky reservation to get. This is probably the highest-profile restaurant at Hollywood Studios right now, which makes sense because it is literally like stepping into a cantina from the Star Wars universe, which makes it pretty awesome. This is where you go to sip on some out-of-this galaxy concoctions: we especially love the Fuzzy Tauntaun, because it makes our mouth all tingly. But it may be a little easier now that it’s been added to the Mobile Dine Waitlist. Oga’s Cantina To get yourself on the waitlist for these restaurants, log in to the My Disney Experience app, and select “Check Dining Availability.” For walk-ups, select today’s date, choose “Now” when searching for the time. You will then get to see what’s available. You can select the restaurant from there (make sure you’re nearby) and get yourself on the waitlist! We’ve seen quite a few changes recently to the My Disney Experience App. Several restaurants have been added to the Mobile Order feature, and a new Waitlist feature was even added to get walk-up reservations at select table service restaurants. If you’re a Disney buff, you’ve probably heard of Joe Rohde, best known as the mind behind Disney World’s Animal Kingdom. © Disney This Imagineer is constantly delighting us with fun content in and out of the parks. Recently he’s launched a video series about Animal Kingdom AND he helped to design some pretty neat ears earlier this year. Now, it’s Joe Rohde’s birthday and he’s asking for YOUR help — to save the chimpanzees. Rohde typically asks for donations to a conservation cause when his birthday rolls around on September 10th. This year, he’s posted an emergency call for help when it comes to the relocation of about 30 chimpanzees who have been displaced by the closure of the Wildlife Waystation in California. As of now, he notes in his Instagram post, the chimps are being cared for by Fish and Wildlife, but those funds will run out. Many of these creatures used to be experimental lab chimps and to receive them, the sanctuaries will need significant funding. Rohde is asking for donations to the program helping to fundraise, The North American Primate Sanctuary Alliance. ©Disney “We share about 99% of our DNA with chimps,” says Rohde, “Imagine 99% of the emotions, physical sensations, wants and needs of you or anyone you know. These chimps put in years of their lives in labs or onstage to either entertain you or to advance medical studies…now they need a break and a nice place to just go be chimpanzees.” Click here to donate to help relocate these chimps! We’re following our latest “Stories from the Parks” episode at Disney’s Hollywood Studios with new #DisneyCreators magic from actress Ashley Eckstein at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Ashley, who is the voice of Ahsoka Tano from “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” and a former cast member at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, recently took over our @disneyparksblog Instagram account with her sister @dailydoublescoop for the one-year anniversary of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Walt Disney World Resort. During the takeover, Ashley shared some favorite experiences from Batuu – and a few surprises. Ashley gave a first look at the new Ahsoka Tano Legacy Lightsaber hilts as seen in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. These are the first Legacy Lightsaber hilts that change color and as she says, “they’re amazing!” The Lightsaber hilts are coming this fall to Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. During her visit to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Ashley also shared other magical experiences from Batuu that you can find at @ashleyeckstein on Instagram. OK, it’s September 1st, and that means fall is (un)officially here!!! That’s a Pumpkin Spice Latte, btw! We’ve already spotted TONS of seasonal flavors around Walt Disney World, including the Mozart Chocolate Cream Pumpkin Spice liqueur at EPCOT, prepackaged Halloween treats and hot drinks in new cups. And we also know that Halloween and fall fun are coming back to Magic Kingdom soon! And the flavorful fall fun will also roll over into Disney Springs, Walt Disney World’s shopping and dining district. At least, we know that Sprinkles Cupcakes is set to have TONS of autumnal treats soon! Sprinkles Entrance Sprinkles announced their September flavors on Twitter earlier this week, and we can just imagine eating these while sitting around a bonfire on hay, and then jumping into a big ol’ pile of leaves. OK, it’s still Florida, but you catch our drift. Sprinkles You may not be able to go to the NBA games being held at Disney World in person, but you can feel the spirit of fall sports with the NEW Cracker Jack cupcakes. This cupcake has a caramel cake, which is studded with honey roasted peanuts, caramel frosting, a Cracker Jacks crown, and finished with a drizzle of caramel. It will be available from August 31st to September 13th. ©Sprinkles And, of course, no fall dessert lineup would be complete without a Pumpkin Cupcake. Sprinkles’ is a pumpkin cake seasoned with ginger, clove, nutmeg, and cinnamon, topped with a luscious cinnamon cream cheese frosting. Though the gates leading to Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland may be closed, the original Disney theme park over in Anaheim, California, turned 65 years old in July! Disneyland Gate And to celebrate the big birthday, there has been a TON of 65th anniversary merch, from Mickey Mouse plushes to spirit jerseys, T-shirts, puzzles, magnets, and so. much. more! Of course, no celebration would be complete without new Funko POP! figurines, and the new ones for Disneyland feature icons of the theme park. © The Atlantic Sleeping Beauty Castle on Opening Day Two of the Funko POP! figurines feature the ultimate Disneyland symbol, Sleeping Beauty Castle. The first stars band leader Mickey and the replica castle. It’s listed for $30 on Funko’s website, but it’s currently sold out. ©Disney The other features Walt Disney himself! He’s holding a teeny Mickey Mouse plush, and of course, this figurine comes with Sleeping Beauty Castle. This one is expected to be a park exclusive, and we don’t have any information on when it will be on sale quite yet, but you know when we do, we’ll let ya know! ©Disney Opening year attraction, Casey Jr. Circus Train, is also heavily featured with these new Funko POP figurines! You can collect Mickey, Minnie, Dumbo, Pluto, and Goofy riding these trains, complete with conductor Donald Duck! Mickey and Donald are sold out on Funko’s website, but available on Walmart’s website for preorder. At Walmart, Donald is $19.87 and Mickey is $8.78. ©Disney Meanwhile, Minnie is an Amazon exclusive; she costs $10.99. Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway has been a huge hit at Disney’s Hollywood Studios ever since it opened earlier this year. Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway And before it even opened at Walt Disney World, we learned that a version of this ride will ALSO be opening in ToonTown at Disneyland Park. And now, we have an official target date for when this attraction is set to open on the West Coast… Mickey’s House in Toontown 2023. Yes, you’re going to have to wait a little while to sing along with Mickey and venture off on a wild train ride with conductor Goofy over in Anaheim. And what are they doing to celebrate?! Give us gifts, of course. <3 The gift of a a special Mezcal, from Gracias a Dios, which was made special for La Cava del Tequila. Special mezcal bottle Only 11 bottles of this mezcal were even made, and each shot sells for, you guessed it, $11. For that price tag, it also comes with a little snack…grasshoppers! Oh, and a slice of orange too. 11th birthday mezcal This ain’t your average shot, this mezcal is made with 10 different agaves, and you’re not meant to drink it all in one go. This is a complex liquor with deep flavors, so if you have the chance to sip it, SAVOR it. 11th b-day mezcal But the chance may be ending soon. This limited edition mezcal has been on the menu for a few days already, and there aren’t many bottles left! So run, don’t walk if this is your jam!
