It’s easy to make some serious mistakes when rope dropping Magic Kingdom! Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Arriving at this park before it opens is a really helpful way to make sure you have a successful day. But if you’re going to invest the time and effort into rope dropping Magic Kingdom, you need a plan, and you need to know the RULES! Check out these maps to help you rope drop like a pro. Hotel Guests If you’re staying at a Disney World Resort hotel, you will have access to Early Theme Park Entry, meaning you can enter every theme park 30 minutes before its opening time each day. At Magic Kingdom, extra park time can be incredibly helpful because it’s the park with the most rides. For those planning to take advantage of this perk, we recommend arriving at Magic Kingdom’s entrance 15-45 minutes before Early Theme Park Entry begins. Magic Kingdom But there’s one important rule about Early Theme Park Entry at Magic Kingdom — it’s ONLY available for select attractions in Fantasyland and Tomorrowland. This means that if you’re rope dropping Magic Kingdom and doing early entry, you’ll not be able to access Adventureland, Frontierland, or Liberty Square until the official park opening time. To use Early Theme Park Entry, you’ll check in at either the bridge to Fantasyland or the bridge to Tomorrowland. You must scan in to show proof of a hotel reservation to get into those areas of the park 30 minutes early. The guide for Early Theme Park Entry! Basically, you’ll want to choose whichever of the two bridges leads to the attractions you want to ride. Tomorrowland will take you to offerings like Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin and Space Mountain, while Fantasyland will lead to the popular Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Peter Pan’s Flight. Every Magic Kingdom Ride and Attraction — Click Here! Off-Site Guests For those not staying at a Disney World Resort, you’ll be able to enter the lands of Magic Kingdom (besides Main Street, U.S.A.) at the official park opening time. Queues form outside the bridges to each land, and you can line up closest to whichever attraction you want to visit most. However, we generally encourage you NOT to head for Tomorrowland or Fantasyland first thing in the morning. Rope dropping guide for non-hotel guests! If you don’t have Early Theme Park Entry, you’ll already be “late” to Tomorrowland and Fantasyland ride queues when the park opens. You’ll end up with much shorter lines and a more effective rope drop strategy if you head for Adventureland, Liberty Square, or Frontierland. Line up on the left side of the park, and you’ll be able to rope drop rides like Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, Jungle Cruise, and Pirates of the Caribbean. All popular options! See Our Guide to Adventureland Here! Big Thunder Mountain Railroad or Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Speaking of that left side of the park, one of the most popular rope drop strategies is to head for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad or Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. If you have Early Theme Park Entry, you’ll want to knock out a ride or two in Fantasyland during your 30 early minutes, then line up to walk through Liberty Square over by Memento Mori and Columbia Harbour House. Columbia Harbour House For those without Early Theme Park Entry, we recommend lining up at the Liberty Square bridge. Do NOT line up at the bridge to Adventureland — yes, you can get to the rides by walking through Adventureland, but the folks coming from Liberty Square will beat you there nearly every time. Take this route! When you’re trying to be the first in line at a ride, even a few extra steps can make a big difference! What We REALLY Think About the New Version of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad TRON Lightcycle / Run Another popular option for rope drop is TRON Lightcycle / Run. This attraction is tricky because though it does reside in Tomorrowland, it is NOT included in the list of available attractions for Early Theme Park Entry. Therefore, you can’t plan to ride it during that 30-minute window. TRON Lightcycle/Run However, you CAN choose to line up outside the ride’s entrance during Early Theme Park Entry. You can either check out another ride in Tomorrowland nearby and then wait outside of TRON, or go straight to TRON and wait through the whole 30 minutes. Honestly, waiting through that window isn’t a terrible strategy, because the ride’s wait is usually more than an hour, and waiting 30 minutes would be a significant improvement. The pathway to TRON To get to TRON as fast as possible, take the Tomorrowland bridge. You can try rope dropping TRON at park opening, but you do so at your own risk since the Early Theme Park Entry folks can beat you there easily. Will I Fit on TRON Lightcycle / Run in Disney World? Tips for Early Theme Park Entry Now for some rope dropping tips! Starting with Early Theme Park Entry, our favorite strategy is to arrive 30-45 minutes before it starts and head straight to line up at the Fantasyland bridge. From there, we hit Seven Dwarfs Mine Train first, then knock out Peter Pan’s Flight. That’ll take care of two of the park’s longest wait times in one swoop! Afterward, you can line up near Columbia Harbour House to walk through Liberty Square, and you’ll have your choice of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, or Haunted Mansion to visit next. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train If you want to ride TRON, we recommend starting at the Tomorrowland bridge (arrive early here as well) and do either Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin or Space Mountain before lining up outside of TRON to wait for park opening time. The Guide to Getting Galactic Hero on Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin! Tips for Regular Rope Drop Starting your day with the regular people? That’s fine, you can still have a great rope drop! In that case, line up at the Adventureland bridge to accomplish the most. You can knock out Jungle Cruise first, followed by Pirates of the Caribbean, then head over to Haunted Mansion. Jungle Cruise If Big Thunder Mountain or Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is a priority, you can start at the Liberty Square bridge and go for one of those, but we’ll warn you that those two attractions are prone to delayed openings — if you arrive and the ride is down, it can mess up your rope drop plan. In general, we pretty much always recommend doing Haunted Mansion as a second or third ride instead of your first because its wait time stays low a little longer than the other heavy-hitters. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure If you’re taking the time to wake up early and rope drop the park, you need to go in with a plan! Rope dropping with an effective strategy can make or break your day. It’s time to play the music, and it’s time to light the lights, because Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets has officially opened at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster opens TODAY! The highly anticipated retheme of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster has finally arrived, and fans were flooding the park to check out the new ride. No, seriously, they were FLOODING Hollywood Studios. Wait until you see how crazy the crowds were during the attraction’s opening day. The crowds as soon as we entered the park were certainly intense, but things seemed to be moving pretty well at the turnstiles. No lines were wildly long right at rope drop, but something told us that was about to change as we got closer to the ride. Entrance crowds The crowd over on Sunset Boulevard is where things started to pick up, and we followed the mass of people to find a MAJOR line close to the ride! In fact, right around 7:25 AM, Cast Members were unable to safely keep all of the early theme park entry guests in the main queue, so they started diverting everyone back behind the Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After gate next to Tower of Terror. This was similar to what was done on the closing day of the Aerosmith version of the ride! Beginning to reroute guests Behind the gate, they also began to separate people who were hotel guests with Early Entry, and those who were not, as Early Entry guests would begin to move for the attraction faster than those with regular entry. People were split back here! When it comes to looking at the front of the attraction, it’s clear to see that it’s busy, but we think it doesn’t show just how many people are REALLY waiting behind the gate! Sure, it looks busy, but it’s nothing like what’s waiting behind the gate! Shockingly, at about 9:20 AM, after the ride had officially opened, the wait time was only 45 minutes! Perhaps it’s that the actual queue inside the ride building isn’t able to hold as many people, so this was the solution for the morning. We’re curious to see if they’ll need to use this behind-the-gate section of the ride queue for later in the day, or in the future. We’re ready to rock! It’s also important to note that, for now, the only way you’re able to get to Rock Around The Shop to see all the Muppets merchandise there is if you actually ride the attraction today. Otherwise, you’ll want to head to Carthay Circle, where there’s a sign up letting you know that Muppets merchandise is inside! Head here for Muppets merch! By about 9:40 AM, the wait time had jumped to 60 minutes, so we’re sure this is the start of those high wait times arriving for the foreseeable future for this ride. A MAJOR Disney World Hotel Perk is FINALLY Back!
Disney4me posted a topic in Disney Food/Restaurants
Today is a MASSIVE day in Disney World, for numerous different reasons. Typhoon Lagoon Over in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Bluey’s Wild World opens today, and at the same time, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets opens officially in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Cool KIDS’ SUMMER officially kicks off around the resort as a whole — the list goes on! However, one of our favorite parts about today is that a huge Disney World hotel perk finally returns for the summer, so if you’re staying on property this summer, don’t forget to take advantage of it! No matter what Disney World hotel you’re staying at, if you’ve got a reservation booked from today, May 26th, through the end of Cool KIDS’ SUMMER on September 8th, you get access to either one of Disney World’s two water parks for FREE on the day of your check-in! Whether you want to hang out at Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon, both of which are open all summer long, your Disney World hotel reservation gets you a free ticket, but it’s only available on the day you check in to your hotel. Blizzard Beach Originally, this perk was available all year in 2025, but it was changed to just the summer months this year. The perk has already been confirmed to return for 2027 as well, but it’s unclear what dates it’ll be available. This is a fantastic way to spend your first day of vacation, in our eyes. Blizzard Beach There’s nothing special you need to do to get the ticket — if you’ve got a reservation booked at a Disney World hotel between now and September 8th, you’ll have a water park ticket valid for that check-in day. At this time, though, there’s no way to change your access to a different day of your trip, so you either use it on day one or lose the opportunity to use it altogether. I don’t know about you, but I could blow my entire paycheck on the new Muppet souvenirs that dropped with Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets in Hollywood Studios. I have seen about five t-shirts I need, a few pins, and probably some stuffed Animals (haha, get it?), and as soon as I heard new souvenirs would be coming with the ride, I have been waiting until I can head straight to the gift shop and buy them. Opening day crowds While the attraction is now open to the general public, it’s not going to be as easy as you think to grab your new Muppet gear. When we went to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster on opening morning, we were going to head to the Rock Around the Shop, the gift shop at the end of the ride, but we found out that it’s only available for riders right now! This is probably to make sure there aren’t massive crowds near the roller coaster’s exit. Rock Around the Shop Now, before you’re wildly disappointed and think that your chance of securing Muppet merch is over, you can actually grab the items on Sunset Boulevard. You can find them in Carthay Circle, which is one of the shops along the sides of the street. Ready to shop! We’re not sure how long this rule is going to be in place, but we’re thinking it’s just until the crowds die down a bit. Because there’s a huge priority for these souvenirs, it’s nice to be able to grab them in two different locations, too. The ride exit I can’t resist — let’s talk about some of the items you can grab! Lots of Animals and an Anti-Fans shirt. #1 Anti-Fans! We’re always down for an RSVLTS shirt. Such a great combo! I’m going to need all of these Kermie ears because they’re too dang cute. The pins and water bottles are a nice addition, too. Kermie! Another Electric Mayhem t-shirt. The Electric Mayhem band! Miss Piggy needs her time to shine! Miss Piggy! Stickers galore! They’re similar to the t-shirt designs, so if you don’t want a bunch of t-shirts, this is a great way to go. So cute! Oh yeah, we LOVE this Loungefly bag. It literally looks like a guitar — what’s there not to like? Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets Loungefly Ugh, I’m just going to need them all. Make sure you keep following Disney Food Blog for everything you need to know for your upcoming Disney World trip. Two huge Lightning Lane changes have officially hit Disney World, and it could affect how you go about planning your Disney day going forward! Hollywood Studios Disney’s Hollywood Studios is looking completely different! Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets is finally open, Walt Disney Studios is here and ready to be explored, and even Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run is a whole new experience. With new stuff coming to the park, there have been some BIG Lightning Lane changes that you need to know about! Getting Lightning Lane at Hollywood Studios is getting more complex with two new additions to the Lightning Lane options at the park. The first one we’ll look at is that the new Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets is now officially a Lightning Lane Multi Pass option! Let’s ride Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster! When purchasing a Lightning Lane Multi Pass for Hollywood Studios, you’ll be prompted to choose up to 3 multi-pass experiences and arrival windows. The decision for choosing is going to be a little more difficult, as you can only choose ONE tier 1 experience between Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, Slinky Dog Dash, and now Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets With changes made to both Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and Smugglers Run, it’s a little more difficult to choose which you’ll want to use Lightning Lane on. Throw in the popularity of Mickey and Minnie and the long wait for Slinky Dog. It’s nothing we haven’t seen before, as the original Aerosmith version was first-tier for Lightning Lane Multi Pass, but it will take some getting used to again. Ready to rock! The next Lightning Lane change at Hollywood Studios is over at the new Walt Disney Studios area. No, it has nothing to do with the Magic of Disney Animation. It’s actually for the brand-new Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! show. Theater entrance The show featuring Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Daisy, and Pluto in a fun-filled party is also a part of the Lightning Lane Multi Pass line. It will be part of the second-tier Lightning Lane offerings. So don’t stress about throwing this into the selection of tier one experiences, where you can only choose one. Mickey and Minnie! The last show that was in the same location was also a second-tier Lightning Lane attraction, so this follows the same path. If you want to learn more about the Lightning Lane system, take a look at the different kinds of Lightning Lanes in Disney World: Lightning Lane Multi Pass Lightning Lane Single Pass Lightning Lane Premier Pass Mickey’s friends! Just remember that if you get the Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you can select three attractions to skip the line for in your chosen park before your trip even begins. You can choose one from Tier One and two from Tier Two. As you use your Lightning Lanes throughout the day, you can book new ones for attractions that are still available for the day. If you’ve been a Disney World fan for a while, then you remember virtual queues. You’d wake up at 7 AM on the dot, load up the My Disney Experience app, and hope for a spot on your favorite ride. Bluey has hit Disney World! Virtual Queues for big-ticket attractions have been phased out at Disney World – but now they’re back for Bluey’s Wild World! Now that Bluey’s Wild World is open at Animal Kingdom, the virtual queue is back! You must join the virtual queue to experience Bluey’s Wild World at Conservation Station, the Wildlife Express Train, Jumping Junction, and the Animal Care experiences at Conservation Station. Virtual Queue on the My Disney Experience app You can request to join the virtual queue via the My Disney Experience app at either 7 AM or 10 AM. To join at 7 AM, you’ll need a theme park reservation for Animal Kingdom, but you can be anywhere – you don’t need to be inside the park. To join the virtual queue at 10 AM, you must be scanned into Animal Kingdom. Animal Kingdom Main Entrance It’s important to note that for popular attractions, a virtual queue isn’t guaranteed. If you don’t get a virtual queue at the 10 AM registration, you won’t be able to go to Conservation Station that day. Disney has stated that a standby queue will not be available at the opening of Bluey’s Wild World, but will open a standby queue at a later date. ©Disney When we got to Animal Kingdom, we had our virtual queue ready to go at 7 AM! We were Boarding Group 2, so we waited for our group to be called, and then we were finally able to head back to Bluey’s Wild World! We were called back before the park even opened since they usually call a few groups at a time. The virtual queue filled up in a few seconds for the 7 AM drop, and we have a feeling the same will happen with the 10 AM group, since the experience only runs till 3:45 PM. ©Disney Joining the virtual queue is an easy process if you have the My Disney Experience app. Stay tuned to DisneyFood Blog for more Disney World tips! Dead MagicBand+ batteries can wreck your Disney World morning faster than a sudden Central Florida thunderstorm. MultiCharger for MagicBand+ Nothing’s worse than realizing your band didn’t charge overnight right before you’re heading out the hotel door for rope drop, Lightning Lane check-ins, ride photos, and resort entry. After multiple Disney World trips and plenty of late-night hotel room charging chaos, we decided to test two popular MagicBand+ charging solutions to see which one actually made park life easier. Both worked well, but one quickly became our go-to for almost every trip. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. This Tiny Charger Solved Our Biggest Hotel Room Problem MultiCharger for MagicBand+ Disney hotel rooms never seem to have enough outlets. Between phones, portable chargers, smartwatches, and cooling fans, things get crowded fast by bedtime. Add multiple MagicBand+ chargers into the mix and suddenly every surface near the outlet looks like a tangled mess. That’s exactly why we ended up loving the MultiCharger for MagicBand+. This thing is surprisingly lightweight, incredibly compact, and genuinely easy to throw into a park bag without adding bulk. The biggest advantage is how portable it feels compared to other multi-band chargers we tested. It plugs into USB-A ports, which meant we could use it with portable batteries during long park days or connect it to almost any charging brick we already owned. MultiCharger for MagicBand+ The setup also felt specifically designed for Disney travelers. It can charge multiple MagicBand+ devices at once while only taking up one outlet. Everything about it felt practical for real Disney vacations instead of something generic repurposed for MagicBands. Unlike some bulkier chargers, this one easily slid into our sling bag without making it feel heavy. That mattered more than we expected once we were spending 10-plus hours walking around the parks. If you travel with MagicBand+ often, this is the one we’d pack every time. view ON AMAZON The Family-Friendly Pick That Keeps Everything in One Spot Doohoeek Charging Station for MagicBand+ If you’re traveling with a larger group, keeping track of everybody’s charging cords gets old very quickly. Chargers disappear into backpacks, cords get mixed up, and somebody always forgets to plug their MagicBand+ in before bed. That’s where the Doohoeek Charging Station for MagicBand+ really impressed us. This charger powers up four MagicBand+ devices simultaneously, and it only requires one USB-C cable. For families, that convenience is huge. Instead of four separate chargers sprawled across the room, you get one compact station that keeps everything organized in a single place. Doohoeek Charging Station for MagicBand+ We especially liked how secure the charging setup felt once the bands were connected. The dock uses a press-and-release slot design instead of dangling cords attached directly to the bands, so there’s less clutter overall. It also charged all four bands pretty quickly, which is great when everybody gets back to the room exhausted and needs devices ready for the next morning. That said, we did run into one consistent issue. Getting the MagicBands snapped into place could feel awkward, especially with multiple bands at once. It usually took two hands and a little patience to get everything lined up correctly. For solo travelers, it also felt a little bulkier than necessary compared to simply carrying a standard charger. Charging our MagicBand Still, for families or larger travel groups, this thing absolutely gets the job done and makes nightly charging feel much more organized. view ON AMAZON So Which One Actually Won? After testing both in Disney World hotels and during long park days, the MultiCharger for MagicBand+ came out on top for us overall. It’s smaller, lighter, easier to travel with, and more flexible when you’re constantly on the go. For most Disney World visitors, especially adults traveling with one or two bands, it just fits more naturally into the way people actually vacation. The Doohoeek Charging Station is still a solid option, particularly for families who want all their bands charging in one place overnight. But when portability, convenience, and everyday park practicality mattered most, the MultiCharger consistently won us over. Disney World hotels are kinda our secret spots to grab some of the best snacks. Lately, there have been a lot of treats released, and honestly, we can’t get enough. Let’s try some snacks! This time, we’re heading to two resorts to check out the latest snacks to see if you should add them to your list. Some snacks are worth it if you’re staying at the resort, but others are worth the extra trip to grab them. Let’s check them out! First up, we headed to The Mara at Animal Kingdom Lodge. We grabbed the Giraffe Cake Bar for $5.99. Giraffe Cake Bar The cake on the side was soft and pretty dense. There was a thin layer of icing on the outside that was subtle and did not have too much of a flavor. We thin kthe overall size was great for $6 and easy to share. It did just taste like vanilla cake with chocolate chips on the back, adding a nice crunch. While this was a rather simple treat, sometimes those are the best ones, and nice for pickier eaters who still want in on the fun. Inside We also had the Africa-shaped Sandwich Cookie for $5.29. Africa-shaped Sandwich Cookie This was a nice surprise! It tasted like a zebra cake with raspberry jelly filling. The cookie was similar to the iced cookie in the grocery store, but a little thinner. The icing had a nice crunch, and the jelly filling was a little tangy, which balanced out the sweetness from the cookie, and we could probably eat a wild amount of these. Look at those layers! Then we headed to Centertown Market at Caribbean Beach Resort. We started with the S’mores Chocolate Marshmallow Tart for $6.49. This is a vanilla tart with graham cracker, chocolate ganache, marshmallow, and pretzels. S’mores Chocolate Marshmallow Tart This is one of those desserts that work best when you get a little bit of everything in one bite. The tart filling is a dark chocolate that is on the bitter side, but with the shell, it balances it out. The marshmallows on top were very soft and fluffy and reminded us of s’mores over the campfire. We were not in love with the chocolate-dipped pretzels on top that were fairly stale, but once we picked them off, we enjoyed the tart, especially if you’re into dark chocolate. Inside Then we had the Mango Mocha Tart for $5.99, which is a vanilla tart filled with mango and topped with mocha meringue. Mango Mocha Tart First off, we loved the size for the $6, especially since you could share it. The tart was crunchy without being dry and balanced the mousse’s smoothness. The vanilla flavor was creamy and not too sweet, with a stronger mango flavor. The mocha meringue on top was smooth and added some chocolate flavor, similar to a chocolate-dipped mango. Each bite was sweet and a little sour without being overpowering and obnoxious. It was truly light and refreshing, and a great option. Inside Finally, we ended with the Tropical Mousse Cheesecake for $6.49. Disney didn’t have a description for the dessert, so we were going in with no expectation. Tropical Mousse Cheesecake This was a…unique experience. Our reporter said, “This is what I imagine alien food is like.” It was light and refreshing, with a smooth texture, but we couldn’t pick out any specific flavors. It was a bit strange and not unenjoyable, but it definitely was interesting, where each bite had us wondering what was going on. Bluey’s Wild World officially opens at Animal Kingdom on May 26th, but Disney opened this new attraction early! Bluey and Bingo! This new family-friendly experience can be found over at Conservation Station, meaning you’ll need to take the Wildlife Express over. At Bluey’s Wild World, you can meet Bluey, have dance parties, play games from the show, and visit a petting zoo with all Australian animals like kangaroos and wallabies! But, this soft opening has exposed some pretty glaring problems with the new attraction. Not only is the stroller aspect inconvenient, but you’ll have to wait for the train on your way to Bluey’s Wild World AND on your way back, which can be a bit annoying. While the trains do come rather frequently, it’s just one more thing you’ll be waiting in line for at Disney World. The animals might not be ready Jumping Junction is home to kangaroos and wallabies, and while in the future, you’ll be able to walk around and get relatively close to the animals, that’s not the case for now. Cast Members said that the animals are still getting used to being here, and they want to make sure that they are completely comfortable before allowing people to get close to them. Jumping Junction They didn’t share when the animals might feel comfortable, so if you’re heading to Bluey’s Wild World shortly after it opens, keep in mind that you might have to look at the animals from a distance for now. You can only access via Virtual Queue (for now) If you want to visit Bluey’s Wild World when it officially opens, here’s everything you need to know about the Virtual Queue: In the morning, before 7 AM, open your My Disney Experience App and on the main page, click on Virtual Queue. Here, it will take you to the Bluey’s Wild World Virtual Queue page. When you get to this page, confirm your party and then wait until 7 AM. Once it hits 7 AM, you’ll be able to try to join the queue. To join the queue at 7 AM, you must have a valid park admission or a theme park reservation if applicable. ©Disney And if you don’t get the first drop, don’t worry, there is another drop at 10 AM. However, you should be aware that to participate in the 10 AM drop, you need to be inside the park. Disney has not announced how long this Virtual Queue system will be in place for, so if you have a trip coming up, be prepared to secure a virtual queue if you want to hang with Bluey. The day is finally almost here! Bluey’s Wild World officially opens to the public in Disney’s Animal Kingdom on May 26th, but the land has opened EARLY! Bluey! This is just one part of Disney’s Cool Kids’ Summer event, taking place from May 26th through September 8th this year, but it’s easily one of the most anticipated offerings. Bluey’s Wild World can be found over at Conservation Station, meaning you’ll need to take the Wildlife Express over. Prepare yourselves, though, because this area looks TOTALLY different now! You can also play games with Bluey and Bingo, and the kiddos were LOVING IT! Seriously, we think this might be the most joy we’ve ever seen on kids’ faces at Disney World, and we’ve been doing this for YEARS. The interactive show is adorable — there are four games and a short dance party at the end. Kiddos are loving it The good news is that Bluey and Bingo really make sure to make their way through the crowd so that all kids (and adults) get to say hi — even if it’s pretty quick. The bad news is that it’s SO loud between the music and the kids screaming that it’s a real relief once the show is over. LOTS going on More good news is that all of the exhibits inside Conservation Station have stuck around, so you can still see the reptiles, creepy crawlies, and the vet staff performing exams and doing surgery from time to time. Jumping Junction — the new animal area featuring red and grey kangaroos, plus wallabies — has opened early, too. Currently, you can come and look at the kangaroos through the fence, but in the future, you’ll be able to walk around them. Cast Members said that the animals are still getting used to being here, and they want to make sure that they are completely comfortable before allowing people to get close to them. There will also be exciting Bluey-themed snacks and drinks to check out, and you can see the full list here. We got to try the new Fairy Bread Cake — check out our review here! In late December 2026, a Disney World Cast Member was injured after he stepped between the crowd to stop a runaway fake prop that weighs 400 pounds at the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular in Hollywood Studios. Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular The incident happened in one of the first scenes of the show when a prop boulder begins to roll down a ramp towards Indiana Jones, which is a recreation of a scene from Raiders of the Lost Ark. The Cast Member, Robert Herrick, then jumps between the prop and the audience to stop it from bounding into the crowd. After months of recovery, Herrick has officially returned to work, according to WFTV. Herrick received serious injuries — such as vertebral fractures — during the incident. He returned to work this past week and performed again in the stunt spectacle on Friday, May 22nd. He previously said that stopping the boulder was worth it. “I can’t tell you that I was just thinking of anything other than it cannot make the audience,” he said. Indiana Jones Though Herrick has returned to the show, the boulder prop is still not being used in the show. Disney has not shared when or if it might return, but we’re hopeful it will come back at some point. The Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular show is still running at Hollywood Studios, however. Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular In a statement released shortly after the incident, Disney shared, “We’re focused on supporting our cast member, who is recovering. Safety is at the heart of what we do, and that element of the show will be modified as our safety team completes a review of what happened.” In the video, the Cast Member doesn’t immediately get up after being hit. At that point, several other Cast Members are seen running to his side. Disney has previously shared that this boulder weighs up to 400 pounds and is made of rubber. Summer in Disney World is always full of lots and lots of people and crowds; however, one weekend is known for its crazy crowds and intense wait times: The Fourth of July. Magic Kingdom And even though the Fourth of July weekend is still over a month away, we are already seeing signs that it’s gonna be a super busy weekend. Park reservations are already starting to fill up, so let’s get into what you need to know if you’re planning on visiting Disney World over that weekend. Currently, the 3rd, 4th, and 5th of July all have limited park reservation availability. Only Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios are available to be booked, while Magic Kingdom and EPCOT are completely sold out. However, these park reservations only apply to ticket holders without a date-based reservation, so most of those guests with date-based tickets don’t need to worry about this update. 4th of July Park Reservations! So, if you do not have a date-based ticket, we would suggest booking those reservations as soon as possible. However, since there is still availability at two parks if you want to visit EPCOT and Magic Kingdom on any of those three days, you can check into the park you reserved, then hop over to another park after, even though the reservations are full. This only applies if you have a park hopper ticket AND if the park has not reached capacity. As well, we noticed that reservations are still open to Incredi Pass and Socerer Pass, Passholders. However, Passholders with the Pirate Pass or Pixie Pass are blocked out for this weekend. And any Passholders with availability should also book soon in case Passholder Reservations run out. Passholder Park Reservations for Fourth of July Weekend It’s also important to note that Magic Kingdom is going to be especially busy on the Fourth of July, because of the exclusive fireworks show that happens that evening. It is possible that on these extremely busy and popular days, the parks can reach capacity. So that means if you’re not in the park when it reaches capacity, then you won’t be able to get in. When visiting Disney World during these extremely popular times, it’s important to have a plan so you know exactly how to get the most out of your visit and beat the crowds. EPCOT has its own fireworks show, too, and while it tends to get crowded, it’s not typically as packed as Magic Kingdom. EPCOT has changed a lot over the past few years, but one thing hasn’t changed: this park has its own rhythm. EPCOT Between festivals, World Showcase snacks, and late-night rides, it’s easy to get caught up in the excitement and accidentally make your day way harder than it needs to be. Some EPCOT “rules” are official Disney policies. Others are habits seasoned park fans swear by after years of trial and error. If you want a smoother park day with fewer headaches, these are the mistakes you’ll want to avoid on your next visit. Starting World Showcase in Canada We said what we said. If you’re doing a full World Showcase loop, the correct answer is starting in Mexico. EPCOT’s Mexico Pavilion The Mexico Pavilion just feels like the perfect EPCOT kickoff. It’s indoors, air-conditioned, and home to one of the best ride-and-snack combos in the entire park. Grabbing a margarita, tacos, or a pastry from inside the pavilion before the crowds build is one of the smartest ways to ease into the day. Reposado shot at La Cava del Tequila Meanwhile, starting in Canada first can throw off your pacing, especially if you’re planning to snack or drink your way around the lagoon. Mexico simply sets the tone better, and longtime EPCOT fans will defend this take with their whole chest. Treating Drinking Around the World Like a Sprint Drinking Around the World is practically an EPCOT rite of passage, but too many people approach it like a competition instead of a marathon. Elderflower Sparkling Cocktail Florida heat is no joke, especially during festival season when you’re outside for hours. If you’re ordering cocktails around World Showcase, water is non-negotiable. So is actual food. A couple festival booths and one pretzel are not enough to carry you through eleven countries. The smartest EPCOT visitors alternate drinks with water and build snack breaks into their route. Your future self will thank you around the France Pavilion. Rope Dropping Spaceship Earth Look, we love Spaceship Earth as much as anybody. It’s iconic, nostalgic, and basically EPCOT’s giant silver welcome sign. But heading there immediately at park open is one of the easiest ways to waste valuable morning time. Spaceship Earth A lot of guests instinctively stop there first, which causes the wait to spike early in the day. Meanwhile, other attractions throughout the park often have significantly shorter lines during that same window. Save Spaceship Earth for later in the afternoon or evening when the wait drops. Riding through the history of communication somehow feels even better once the sun starts going down anyway. Ignoring Festival Booth Lines Early One of the biggest EPCOT mistakes happens during festivals. People assume they can circle back to popular food booths later. Bad idea. India booth Festival crowds can build fast, especially on weekends. The most popular booths can end up with surprisingly long waits by lunchtime, and some festival items even sell out before the day ends. If there’s a dish or drink you’ve been looking forward to trying, prioritize it earlier than you think you need to. EPCOT festivals reward people who plan ahead just a little bit. Wearing Brand-New Shoes This sounds dramatic until you hit your seventh pavilion and realize your feet are staging a protest. EPCOT is huge. Between World Celebration, World Discovery, World Nature, and the entire World Showcase loop, you can rack up an absurd number of steps without realizing it. EPCOT’s World Showcase Comfortable shoes are essential here, especially during summer afternoons when the heat drains your energy faster. Breaking in new sneakers during an EPCOT day is a rookie move that can derail your entire trip by dinner time. EPCOT rewards guests who slow down, plan smart, and avoid a few classic mistakes. A little strategy goes a long way in this park, especially now that crowds, festivals, and summer heat can turn a casual day into a chaotic one pretty quickly. It’s another long holiday weekend in Disney World, and if there’s anything we’ve learned from them in the past, it’s that the crowds can truly be unpredictable. It’s Memorial Day in Disney World! We’ve had holiday weekends that were predictably packed, and then others that made us question if we got the date wrong and it’s just a normal Monday. Memorial Day is a bit different, though, because it often falls at the start of summer vacation for many families, as their kids have just ended school. So what do things look like this year? Our boots are on the ground right now in Magic Kingdom, and let’s just say that, once again, things shocked us a bit! Crowds at the TTC and the entrance gates didn’t give us anything to be concerned about, but we didn’t want to let down our guard just yet, because things can look very different when you actually step into the park. However, once we got onto Main Street, U.S.A., we’ll admit that things looked a little busy, but it wasn’t any different than recent summer days we’ve seen. Main Street U.S.A. crowds Most people on Main Street were moving onto other parts of the park, though, so, with our curiosity piqued, we headed over to Fantasyland to see what was going on. To our surprise…it wasn’t crowded AT ALL. Sure, there were people walking around, but it was far from shoulder-to-shoulder. Fantasyland crowds The biggest tell? We walked by the sign for Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, and as it turns out, they have walk-up availability today, which is a MASSIVE sign that crowds aren’t intense today at all! We remember when getting a reservation was like gearing up to go to battle, but today? No need to worry about that. Walk-Up availability on Memorial Day! Now, it’s important to note that crowds very much may not be like this elsewhere. While Jessie’s Roundup did just soft open in Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios just saw the beginning of the phased opening of The Walt Disney Studios, which is very exciting, and EPCOT soft opened Soarin’ Across America early. Jessie’s Roundup If you’re sticking around in Disney World for the rest of the week, keep in mind that crowds between today and the rest of the week may be COMPLETELY different. May 26th is a massive day in the parks with even MORE new attractions opening. It’s officially the beginning of Cool KIDS’ SUMMER across the whole resort, which is bringing so many fun additions that kiddos especially will love. Bluey’s Wild World will also open in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets will open its doors to the public in Hollywood Studios — we told you it was a lot! Ever since Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs opened at Disney’s BoardWalk, it’s been one of our favorite places to grab a bite to eat — and for more than just corn dogs, too. Deep Fried Cheesecake Don’t get us wrong, we LOVE the corn dogs there (this one with cheese in it is a favorite), but some of our absolute favorite eats here have been the desserts! We literally dream about the Deep Fried Hawaiian Rolls from Blue Ribbon, so when we saw that another deep-fried dessert was coming to the menu, we absolutely had to try it out, too. We’re bringing you our full review of the new Deep Fried Cheesecake! We grabbed the new Deep Fried Cheesecake from Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs for $13. It’s a slice of plain cheesecake, battered and fried in pancake batter, then dusted with powdered sugar and covered in strawberries, served with a side of whipped cream. If this sounds incredibly sweet and indulgent, you’d be right about that! The cheesecake is perfectly fried, and the ratio of batter to cheesecake is perfect. The cheesecake itself is a classic New York-style cheesecake and is fluffy and rich — not too sweet and full of the classic cream cheese whipped flavors that immediately scream cheesecake. The crust on the cheesecake is a graham cracker crust and is thick enough that you can taste it even with the batter. Deep Fried Cheesecake on a stick The only small downside was the strawberry topping — this would have been so much better if you received a cup of it to control how much of the sauce you want in each bite. Also, there weren’t many berry pieces on our serving, which, with the size of the cheesecake, we wished there had been. The berries used for the sauce were also frozen, so it wasn’t a super-fresh strawberry flavor. Overall, this was a hit, but we would like more sauce. SUPER creamy and moist The good news is that this thing is HUGE and definitely shareable. It was so heavy that we couldn’t even pick it up by the stick it came on — we ended up needing to use a fork to eat it. While we enjoyed it, we still don’t think it beats the Deep Fried Hawaiian Rolls on the menu here — those are still the best! We’ll be on the lookout for even more new snacks to review at Disney World and beyond. In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more! Back in early January, it was announced that during Cool KIDS’ SUMMER this year, there would be a NEW addition coming to the event over in Magic Kingdom. Jessie’s Roundup is HERE! Disney announced that this summer, Jessie, Woody, and friends will join guests at the Diamond Horseshoe for some “energetic fun” at Jessie’s Roundup! However, other than mentioning that you’ll be able to craft, dance, and yodel your heart out at this special event, that’s about all we knew. The experience just soft opened, though, so we just got to step into the roundup for the first time and see what’s offered! The experience soft opened in Magic Kingdom on May 24th, and with that, we got to see the full scale of what’s available at this new offering! To start, there are TONS of fun games for kiddos in here, all with Cast Members nearby to help assist them in playing, if they need it. Lots of games! There’s a maze they can use their finger to figure out the path, a small cornhole-style game, a ring around the horseshoe game, a spot the difference picture game, and big blocks to play with. Fun activities! When you enter, you’re given a deputy star sticker, and there’s a board nearby to make your own deputy name based on your favorite Toy Story character! Or, you can just write your name, if you’d like! So fun! There are also multiple shows you can see inside, not just one! The first one we got to see starred Jessie herself and had original songs all about Jessie being the yodeling cowgirl. You’ll even get to see Woody come out and join in on the fun! Woody and Jessie! The second show we got to see starred none other than Bullseye, and he taught kids the Horseshoe Stomp, while his friend Dusty Strings played the guitar. It’s Bullseye! We think this is a super fun offering that families will love this summer, especially since it’s in the AC, which is often VERY needed during hot Disney days. Now, if you’re missing the dining service offered here, we encourage you to head over to Liberty Tree Tavern, where you can get the same menu all summer long! So much fun! Cool KIDS’ SUMMER runs from May 26th through September 8th this year, but we have a feeling this offering will be popular, so you may want to prioritize it if you or your kiddos really love Toy Story.
