THIS IS NOT A DRILL. Churro Mickey waffles! Churro Mickey waffles, one of Disney’s most beloved — and elusive — breakfast foods have finally arrived at another location in Disney World. Of course, we HAD to stop by and try them to bring you the full review, and you guys are going to want to buckle up for this one. Mickey-shaped Churro Waffles have recently arrived on the breakfast menu at Spyglass Grill at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. You can now order them as a breakfast entree for $11.49. So what’s so special about this treat? Well, these churro waffles are famous on Disney Cruise Line as a must-have breakfast buffet item, and the ONLY other place you can find them in Disney World is at Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom. And Crystal Palace? It’s a sit-down character meal that usually requires a reservation, plus it’s $54 per adult. Not exactly the easiest meal to squeeze into your trip, particularly if you’re on a budget. The spread! But now, you can get those same yummy waffles at a hotel with NO park ticket or dining reservation necessary! With your order, you’ll get three Mickey-shaped waffles with the churro coating, as well as bacon and sausage. We were pretty pleased with the portion size here! And boy did they look and SMELL delicious. BEAUTIFUL In fact, they were just like we remember! The exterior coating is sugary with a hint of cinnamon, and it makes for a crisp outer edge to the waffle. The inside is nice and fluffy, and when you eat them warm, they’re absolutely incredible. The sugar crackles a bit when you bite in, and you don’t even really need the syrup because these are so sweet. SO GOOD The bacon and sausage were a great balance to the sweetness of the waffles — we all need a little protein in our day, especially when you’re enjoying sugary treats around Disney World. This was definitely worth the price and a wonderful hidden gem at a not very popular spot. Oh churro waffles, how we yearn for you! Translation: this is basically catnip for people who want to understand how Disney thinks about storytelling, design, guest experience, and building places that somehow make you emotionally attached to trash cans and background music loops. ©Amazon This is not just a “here are some fun Disney facts” book. It gets into creative philosophy. For Disney fans who love the craft behind the magic, this one is especially satisfying. It makes you look at the parks differently. When it comes to shopping at Disney World, you’ll find some of the absolute best stores in EPCOT’s World Showcase! France Pavilion Where else can you find sweets from the United Kingdom, funky chip flavors from China, and perfume from France all in one place?! We could spend hours just perusing through each and every shop, and oftentimes, we do. If you’re like us, then there’s an upcoming EPCOT store closure you need to know about in the France Pavilion. Heads up, EPCOT fans! A France Pavilion store is temporarily closing soon. La Signature will be temporarily closed starting on June 8th, and is expected to reopen sometime later this year. As of now, no official reopening date has been announced, but it is definitely something we’ll be keeping an eye on. La Signature La Signature is home to over 70 different French cosmetics and fragrances from Guerlain, and you can even get a makeup consultation while you’re there. While the store is closed, Guerlain merchandise will be available to purchase at Plume Et Palette, another merchandise location in the France Pavilion. If you’re heading to Disney World this summer, you’re in for a TON of fun. Cool Kids’ Summer will be in full swing, which will bring new rides like Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets and Soarin’ Across America, new experiences like Bluey’s Wild World, dance parties, exclusive merchandise, and of course, plenty of new and returning snacks to try! If you’ve never been to the Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic, you’re missing out. This annual event is held at the Swan and Dolphin resort at Disney World, featuring food and drinks from the resort’s restaurants, plus wine tasting experiences and live entertainment. Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic The 2026 Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic will be held on November 20th and 21st from 5 to 9 PM each day. This ticketed event is open to the public — you don’t have to be staying at the resort to join in on the fun. We just got some new details about this year’s lineup! The Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic features live music by tons of different performers, and they just announced the lineup! The headliner is The Rundown, one of Central Florida’s top rock bands, delivering a crowd-pleasing mix of classic rock, ‘80s favorites, ‘90s hits, pop, and country. Live Effect, a high-energy 7-piece Florida party band, will perform top hits from yesterday and today for audiences of all kinds. 2025 Live Entertainment Also in the lineup is Stella Beat, an award-winning Latin pop and Top 40 variety band known for energetic performances, choreography, and audience interaction on major stages from Las Vegas to Walt Disney World. Bork bork bork! In case you don’t speak Swedish Chef, that means, “There’s a NEW Swedish Chef food truck at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and we tried EVERYTHING on the menu!” Full spread! That’s right, FØØD by Swedish Chef officially opens on May 26th with the newly rethemed Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, and we were lucky enough to snag these eats before the opening. From savory snacks to sweet treats and drinks, is this new spot worth a visit on your next trip to Hollywood Studios? Let’s find out! You’ll find FØØD by Swedish Chef in the courtyard just outside the entrance to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets. This new spot will open along with the ride on May 26th, but we’re bringing you a look and review of all the food now! Let’s get into it. We tried everything! First up, we tried the Wocka Wocking Nachos. These are made with corn chips and queso blanco, and tomatoes with “just the right amount of guacamole.” Wocka Wocka Walking Nachos It’s hard not to like crunchy Fritos covered in guacamole, pico de gallo, and some queso. We do wish there were more toppings, but maybe that will get worked out after some guest feedback. The guacamole was creamy, along with the queso, but there was very little salsa — even though it was quite good. The salsa had just a hint of a kick, but nothing too spicy. We wish that the chips were more smothered and covered with the toppings that are promised. The queso is so mild that we first mistook it for sour cream, so we think that it could use some improvements, but everything altogether makes for a really great snack. Wocka Wocka Walking Nachos Next is the Churro Drumstick. This is a twisted churro tossed in mixed berry sugar and then topped with a raspberry sauce and assorted sprinkles. This is, unfortunately, a Disney World churro; however, the raspberry sugar on the outside is a delightful tart, sweet addition, as well as the drizzle on top. Otherwise, the texture is the same as other Disney World churros, which leaves much to be desired, but the flavors are good, and this is a fun spin on a classic churro. Churro Drumstick We also grabbed the Mayhem Soft-serve Float. It’s made with Frozen Fanta Blue Raspberry and a vanilla soft-serve topped with pink cotton candy. Pro tip — let the ice cream melt slightly and then stir this concoction together — the result is creamy vanilla with raspberry notes, a little bit of carbonation, and it’s actually quite craveable when stirred altogether, it even gets notes of the cotton candy. We tried this one before stirring it in, and all you get is some blue raspberry Fanta, so we highly recommend stirring it all together and really enjoying it in a melting vanilla raspberry form! Mayhem Soft-Serve Float The Pink Le-moi-nade is made with Minute Maid Premium Lemonade with guava. There’s a sprinkle of pink shimmer mixed in for a nod to Miss Piggy! This was utterly refreshing! The guava notes come through with the pink lemonade. This was absolutely delicious. If you ask us, it’s the perfect treat for a hot day, and lemonade lovers would really like this. The tang of the guava comes in after the initial lemon flavor, and makes it just a little bit more of a special, different taste than your traditional pink lemonade. We would order this again and again! Pink Le-moi-nade Pond Water Limeade is inspired by Kermit the Frog, and it’s made with Minute Maid Premium Limeade, green apple, and fruit juice-filled pearls. Pond Water Limeade This was delightfully sour. It is like a lime Sour Patch Kid. Our reporter absolutely loved this. The boba pops very nicely, and the skin isn’t too thick on the boba, which is nice. If you’re a fan of Sour Patch Kids, you’ll absolutely think this is the perfect treat. It delivers with the lime flavor throughout. The boba didn’t really add a lot of flavor, but it was a little sweet, which balanced out the tartness just enough so that you weren’t in full pucker mode. The green apple flavor did come through after the initial sourness, too. We think kids will really like this one! Pond Water Limeade Of course, we were THRILLED to find out that the Mini Corn Dog Nuggets were staying on the menu, so we had to try them too! We are happy to report that these are the same mini corn dogs that you will find at Casey’s on Main Street in Magic Kingdom! They are beef hot dogs wrapped in a cornmeal crust, so the crust is slightly sweet on the outside. On the inside is a tasty small beef hot dog. If you love the ones from Casey’s, you’re going to love these. They come with a small bag of Lay’s Potato Chips as well. Corn Dog Nuggets In addition to these items, when this new spot opens, you can also find: Chocolate Chip Cookies Assorted Chips Vanilla, Chocolate, or Swirl Waffle Cone Frozen Floats with Coca-Cola or Barq’s Root Beer Fountain Sodas Frozen Blue Raspberry (Also available with Bacardi Superior Rum or Tito’s Handmade Vodka) Big Fritos! Planning out your meals for your Disney World trip? We’ve got lots of suggestions! Yak & Yeti Eats We’ve dined at every restaurant in Disney World (multiple times at this point), and we have a list of spots that have been historically pretty good. Among that list is Yak & Yeti Restaurant at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. But now, it’s getting more expensive! Many of the food items on the Yak & Yeti menu have increased in price, according to the prices listed online. Most of the price increases amount to less than one dollar per item, but that could add up a bit if you’re with a large group that’s ordering a lot of food. Yak & Yeti table Nearly everything increased, but we’ll highlight here some of the prominent price increases — the popular dishes that got more expensive. The Pork Pot Stickers increased to $13.29 from $12.99 and our beloved Wok-Fried Green Beans were previously $12.99 and are now $13.29 as well. The Firecracker Shrimp went from $14.99 to $15.49. The Kimchi Calamari got a 50-cent price increase, as did the Lettuce Cups, the Crab Rangoon Dip, and the Korean Fried Chicken. The Ahi Tuna Nachos went up 80 cents from $22.99 to $23.79. ©Disney The Wonton Soup got a 50-cent price increase, and the House Salad went up 30 cents. The other salads got price increases as well. ©Disney The Dragon Roll Bowl went from $29.99 to $30.79 and the Lo Mein dishes each went up 60 cents. In more positive news, the Beef Chow Fun is a NEW menu item with wok-fried beef, onions, bean sprouts, scallions, and rice noodles. ©Disney The Chicken Tikka Masala and Coconut Shrimp were both previously $27.99 and increased 80 cents to $28.79. The Bhaktapur Duck was one of the bigger price increases, getting a whole dollar more expensive. Also new to the menu is the Roasted Vegetable Bowl. The Honey Chicken and Sweet & Sour Chicken are menu favorites, and they each got 60-cent price increases. ©Disney The Hibachi Steak & Shrimp also got a dollar more expensive, and the Chef’s Fresh Catch was removed from the menu entirely. Miso Salmon was added as a new grilled option. ©Disney Each of the sides got price increases ranging from 30-80 cents. This is a great spot to stop because they often have walk-up availability, even if you can’t get a reservation through Disney. There are several locations in Disney World that are in desperate need of some TLC. Expedition Everest Over the years, some Disney World attractions, restaurants, and shows have been closed, never to be seen again. The sad part is when those former homes stay abandoned after the fact. And right now, there are a few spots that we’d love to see rejuvenated and used again. Wonders of Life Pavilion Starting out at EPCOT, we have GOT to talk about the Wonders of Life Pavilion. This building is located in World Discovery between Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Mission: SPACE, and it used to be home to Body Wars and Cranium Command. After those attractions closed in 2007, the pavilion served as the festival center at EPCOT for more than 10 years. In 2019, it was announced that Wonders of Life would be turned into a new concept — the PLAY! Pavilion. Wonders of Life in 2019 The PLAY! Pavilion was part of EPCOT’s original transformation plans and was set to open for the 50th Anniversary of Disney World in 2021. The pavilion was supposed to feature several interactive games, Disney characters, and what looked to be some very cool digital technology. The concept art was incredible! ©Disney || Play Pavilion Concept Art But due to the pandemic, the plans were delayed, and the project was put on pause. A few years later, mentions of the PLAY! Pavilion were removed from Disney sources, and we haven’t received any updates since. Now, the building sits empty, tucked away from the main path. See the History of the PLAY! Pavilion Here! Stitch’s Great Escape On to one of Disney World’s more controversial attractions. Stitch’s Great Escape opened at Magic Kingdom in 2002 (with toilet paper fanfare), but closed permanently in 2018. For a little while afterward, its show building was used as a Stitch meet-and-greet area, but since the pandemic, it has been basically abandoned. Where Stitch’s Great Escape used to be. (Construction photo from 2020) Before housing Stitch’s Great Escape, this building was home to the famously frightening ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter. The two shows shared much of the same technology, so it’s possible Disney could use this space for a similar theater-in-the-round show in the future, or they could scrap it and do something new. Fingers crossed for a new attraction! How a Terrifying Animatronic and Intense Restraints Ruined This Attraction Discovery River Amphitheater This next one is an “abandoned” space you can actually still visit. Discovery River Amphitheater is the large outdoor theater in front of Expedition Everest, facing the Discovery River. It’s made to house large crowds for big shows, and it has been used for a few different things over the years. Discovery River Amphitheater In more recent times, this theater was where you could watch Rivers of Light at nighttime, pre-COVID. The nighttime show in Animal Kingdom used water effects and animal-themed floats instead of fireworks, and oddly enough, it closed a couple of months BEFORE the pandemic hit. Rivers of Light: We Are One Then, in 2021, this theater was where you could catch Disney KiteTails, a lively 10-minute show with giant animal kites and puppets that arrived for the 50th Anniversary. The show ran for exactly 365 days before it closed permanently as well. Since then, the theater remains open for guests to sit in, but no entertainment (besides the flotillas that ran through the river for a while) has been performed here. Learn More About KiteTails Here! Restaurant Marrakesh The poor Morocco Pavilion has been THROUGH it since the pandemic. An area that was once vivacious and full of life has been kinda…dead the past few years. One poignant loss is Restaurant Marrakesh, which never reopened as a dining location after the closure in 2020. Restaurant Marrakesh This space has been used for a lounge on several occasions. During the past few Food & Wine Festivals, it has been a lounge sponsored by Florida Blue. Then, during the early summer, it’s often open for Annual Passholder appreciation days with snacks and a special photo op. We would love to see it back to its former glory, though! What We Think Disney Should Do With This Space! The Far Side of BoardWalk Finally, we’ve got to chat about the far side of Disney’s BoardWalk — the side closer to Hollywood Studios and the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin. While the near side of the BoardWalk has seen additions recently — The Cake Bake Shop, BoardWalk Deli, BoardWalk Ice Cream, and Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs — the far side of the BoardWalk has mostly seen losses. Disney’s Boardwalk It started with the closure of Big River Grille in early 2024. The restaurant shut down with only a few days’ notice (ironically, within a week of when I had gone there to review the dinner menu for Disney Food Blog!), and the space has been vacant since. However, recently, a project has been announced on the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District website for this location. We’re interested to see what comes next. Big River Grille & Brewing Works Then, the dueling pianos bar, Jellyrolls, closed permanently in 2025. Nearly a year later, it was announced that Jellyrolls would get a new location off Disney property, and now, its former home is under construction. Disney hasn’t shared yet what’s coming next, but we’re keeping an eye on it. Old Jellyrolls building There’s a LOT of real estate in Disney World, and there are a wide variety of projects that Disney could take on to fill it. Universal just made a HUGE announcement for Halloween Horror Nights, and we’re freaking out! Universal Orlando Halloween Horror Nights Halloween Horror Nights takes place at the Universal Orlando Resort on select nights from August 28th through November 1st, 2026, and Universal Hollywood on select nights from September 3rd through November 1st, 2026, and we’re already getting big announcements. Universal just dropped news on a new themed house coming, and we need to talk about it! We’re headed to a juke joint this spooky season, because Universal just announced that Sinners will be coming to HHN. Guests who are planning on going to the special ticketed event will get to immerse themselves in writer/director/producer Ryan Coogler’s blockbuster supernatural horror masterpiece in all-new haunted houses! ©Universal Sinners released last year and made over $370 million at the global box office, while earning widespread acclaim from audiences and critics alike. Now, Warner Bros. Pictures’ Sinners adds “haunted house” to its repertoire as it joins Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights. The time has finally arrived, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets is getting ready to open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Let’s ride Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster! When the Muppets Courtyard closed in June of 2025 to start construction on the all-new Monsters Inc. Land, there were lots of thoughts. Then, when Disney announced that the Muppets would be taking over the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster as a new retheme, there were even more thoughts. Now that we’ve had the chance to ride the brand-new attraction and share some coverage of the attraction online, our fans have new thoughts to share…and we’re breaking them down! Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets officially opens on May 26th, but many folks have already had the chance to ride it due to Cast Member and Annual Passholder previews, as well as the pre-opening media event. We’ve shared some pictures and videos of the ride, its queue, and its pre-show online, and people have been commenting their very strong opinions! Let’s dive in to some of the big notes. “This Is 100% Better” Several comments from our Instagram followers were positive! When we shared a clip of the new launch, one person said, “Why would anyone complain about this? This is 100% better.” Another commented, “Love a genuine glow-up!” Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets We know that many Muppets fans are just excited to continue the Muppet legacy in Hollywood Studios. And if you’re dedicated to the Muppet fandom, the ride and the queue have TONS of Easter eggs and little nods to leave you satisfied. You’ll get to see some of your favorite characters along the way, as well! 26 Hidden Details on Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets “This Doesn’t Vibe!” However, just like there were people who loved the idea of this update, there were several who are not fans of the changes. One person commented “This doesn’t vibe!” while another said, “Nope. Just no. I need my Aerosmith circa 1998.” A third person said, “Sorry but this just doesn’t work.” Ready to rock! Now, keep in mind that these comments come from folks who saw a few seconds of the ride in a clip on the internet. We encourage everyone to reserve full judgment until they check out the ride for themselves! We will certainly admit that it’s a big change — the ride has less of the “hard rock ‘n’ roll” feel and more of the “silly Muppets” vibe, which can contrast with the actual thrill level. The coaster is just as fast, just as jerky, and still has the same inversions. Get a First Look Inside the Ride Here! Questions About the Ride The third kind of comments we got were mostly just questions about the ride and its experience. Note that it officially opens to the public on May 26th, though Annual Passholder previews happen starting May 21st. It will be available with Lightning Lane Multi Pass access as a tier one attraction when it opens, and there WILL be a single rider queue still. The preshow! There’s a test seat near the boarding area of the attraction, and there’s a “chicken” exit still for those who want to check out the queue and the pre-show with some of their favorite characters, but don’t wish to ride. The ride track hasn’t changed at all — it follows the same route as before and it’s still a little herky-jerky. However, the sights and signs along the ride have been updated to feature Muppets-specific nods, going along with the new storyline. We love a discounted drink as much as the next person, but the FOOD deals are where things can get really interesting. Green Gator Cocktail This one is especially useful if you’re grazing your way through Disney Springs instead of committing to a full sit-down meal. Maybe you split the ribs, grab another small bite, and then go wander dramatically past Gideon’s like you are not emotionally affected by cookies the size of paving stones. That sentence feels like it should be followed by a tiny legal disclaimer and a trumpet flourish. Japanese A5 Wagyu Tacos STK is known for being one of the pricier restaurants in Disney Springs. This is a steakhouse with big celebration-dinner energy, date-night lighting, and menus that can make your wallet sit up straighter. But happy hour is where STK becomes much more approachable. STK Orlando Currently, STK lists happy hour at the bar, lounge, and patio areas, with afternoon windows on weekdays and weekends, plus late-night happy hour on select nights. That location detail matters because this is not necessarily a “sit down anywhere and get the happy hour price” situation. You need to know where the deal applies. And that is exactly the kind of detail we put in the DFB Guide. The Wagyu taco is not necessarily going to replace a full meal, unless your meal plan is “one luxurious bite and then I’m going to pretend I’m above ordering fries.” But as a way to try STK without committing to a full steakhouse bill? This is excellent. Wagyu for Happy Hour?! It’s also a great pick for a Disney Springs crawl. Start with one happy hour bite here, another somewhere else, maybe a drink in between, and suddenly you’ve built your own progressive dinner without requiring a reservation spreadsheet and three backup plans. Something NEW is coming to Disneyland Park this summer, and we think you’re going to love it! Mickey’s Park Rangers Mickey’s Park Rangers scavenger hunt is an interactive activity throughout the park — including Tom Sawyer Island. The scavenger hunt will have you traversing Disneyland by train, boat, and on foot to discover and collect clues. It officially starts on May 22nd, but we were lucky enough to snag the activity book ahead of time and are bringing you a first look! Mickey’s Park Rangers is a fun, new interactive scavenger hunt throughout Disneyland Park, primarily the Rivers of America, Pirate’s Lair on Tom Sawyer Island, the Disneyland Railroad, and more. You can pick up a complimentary Mickey’s Park Rangers activity book at select retail shops on the west side of the park. Mickey’s Park Rangers activity booklet From there, you’ll complete the quests and puzzles in the activity book that will have you making your way all around Tom Sawyer Island and beyond (but most of it is centered around this area, specifically). It’s a free souvenir As you complete the quests in the activity book, you can have it stamped, and once you’ve completed your quest, you’ll receive a free sticker for your efforts! Ranger Stamp There are tons of different activities inside the booklet, including 3 Steps to Being a Mickey’s Park Ranger, complete with a Ranger Pledge! It’s time to play the music, and it’s time to light the lights, because the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets Annual Passholder previews are here! Let’s ride Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster! Disney Annual Passholders, the time has come for you to ride the brand-new version of the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. We’ve gotten the chance to check out the attraction, and now it’s your turn! It’s been a while since we’ve done the virtual queue for an attraction at Disney World, so how about we give you a little refresher on how you can get on the ride! We understand that sometimes virtual queues for attractions can be stressful. If you don’t know where to go, what to do, or what time to do it, then you start to get a little anxious. Don’t worry, we’re here to guide you through a step-by-step process on how you can join the queue for Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster Starring The Muppets and guarantee a ride this weekend. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets The first thing you need to know is that THREE virtual queues will open throughout the day. We recommend trying to get the first one, then the second, then the third. It gives you the most amount of chances to get on the ride. If you just wait until the third window, and you don’t get in the queue, then that was your only chance of the day. The Penguins! The three opportunities to join the queue each day are at 7 AM, 11 AM, and 3 PM. If you’re going to attempt joining the 7 AM queue, you need to have a valid park reservation for Disney’s Hollywood Studios. If you’re going to try to join for 11 AM, Passholders just need to have a reservation for ANY park for that day, but can join from anywhere. Don’t forget that you need to scan in to the park with your reservation before heading to Hollywood Studios. If you are going for the 3 PM queue, no reservation is required as long as you have a valid park admission; you can join from anywhere! This is a job for a SUPER STRETCH Limo… Alright, now that you know the time windows and how you are eligible to join them, let’s look at how to actually join the virtual queue. First, you will need the My Disney Experience app. Scroll to the bottom of the home page, and you’ll find “Join the Virtual Queue for an Annual Passholder“. Click on “Join Virtual Queue“. ©Disney Once you get through there, you’ll see the “Annual Passholder Previews of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets” under Hollywood Studios’ attractions. The page will show the next opening queue time, and below it will say “Confirm Your Party“. ©Disney Once you get through there, the next page will show you the party members joining your virtual queue for the ride. If you need to add or remove any party members, you can do so by clicking “Edit“. ©Disney We like to get on this screen a few minutes before the time we’re going for, just to increase our chance of joining the queue. Once you’re on this page, just keep clicking refresh until a minute before the scheduled time. Eventually, you’ll see “Join Virtual Queue” pop up. Click it…and click it FAST! ©Disney If you’re able to get into the virtual queue, it will take you to this final screen saying “You’re in a Boarding Group!” It will tell you information like what group number you’re in, how long you’ll have to wait, and the party members included in your group. Don’t worry, you won’t have to physically stand in line for say “235 minutes”, that’s just how long you’ll have to wait to be called to the attraction. ©Disney Annual Passholder previews for the new ride are running from May 21st through May 23rd. A brand NEW show is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios…and we’ve got ALL the details ahead of its grand opening. Mickey and Minnie! In case you missed it, Animation Courtyard is getting reimagined as The Walt Disney Studios, and part of that reimagining includes a new show called Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! The new show is set to open officially on May 26th, but had a soft opening on May 20th, and we got to check it out. Come along with us! If this show sounds familiar, it’s because you may have heard of the Disneyland version. It features a lot of upbeat music and opportunities to dance with Mickey Mouse and friends. The story behind the show is that Mickey and Minnie are going on a road trip to find some of their best friends, like Goofy, Daisy, and Pluto, for a big party. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! When the show officially opens, it will play eight times a day at the following times: 10:15 AM, 11:05 AM, 11:55 AM, 12:45 PM, 2:35 PM, 3:30 PM, 4:20 PM, and 5:10 PM. However, be sure to check the My Disney Experience app to make sure those showtimes are accurate, as they could change. The show! Mickey and Minnie are welcoming guests into Mickey’s clubhouse for a rockin’ party! Goofy, Daisy, and Pluto are running a little late, so Mickey and Minnie — along with their new DJ friend Sam — have to take the party on the road to go and find them. The seating area After saving Goofy from a plumbing problem, Daisy from a power outage, and Pluto from being snowed in, everyone is eventually reunited for a high-energy finale! Mickey’s friends! There are SO many fun songs and dances throughout this show, and we think little ones will love it especially, though it’s definitely fun for the whole family. The show has a runtime of around 20 minutes, so keep that in mind before you head into the theater. If you ask us, it makes for a perfect break from the heat! Air-conditioning, aw yeah! Theater entrance This show is the first offering in the new Walt Disney Studios part of the park. The courtyard of The Walt Disney Studios soft opened with the show, but the main attraction here, The Magic of Disney Animation, is slated to open in late summer. If you LIVE for short lines, minimal crowds, and the vibe of Disney World after dark, this one’s for you! Magic Kingdom After Hours Looking for a way to beat the crowds AND the summer sun in Disney World? Well then, you’re in luck, because there are FIVE different After Hours events happening in Disney World this June! Without further ado, let’s review all of the After Hours events you can choose from next month! Disney After Hours at Magic Kingdom Enjoy Magic Kingdom attractions with minimal waits during the After Hours Events at Magic Kingdom! This is a separately ticketed event priced at $175 to $199 per person, depending on the date. And, even though the event is pricey, you get a LOT of great perks and entertainment for the price of admission! After Hours The event takes place on select nights from 10:00 PM to 1:00 AM. Plus, you can get a head start by entering Magic Kingdom as early as 7:00 PM for a few bonus hours before the event officially begins! The Magic Kingdom After Hours dates for next month are June 1st, 22nd, and 29th. Magic Kingdom After Hours The capacity for this special event is limited so crowds are SUPER low. During After Hours, guests can ride over 20 Magic Kingdom attractions (including TRON Lightcycle / Run). And, in case the short waits for rides didn’t have you sold already, guests can also enjoy an After Hours EXCLUSIVE firework show: Enchantment! Magic Kingdom After Hours To top it all off, the event also includes unlimited free ice cream, popcorn, and drinks! Capacity for these events is super limited to keep the crowds low, so be sure to snag your tickets ASAP since they can sell out! Disney After Hours at Disney’s Hollywood Studios Magic Kingdom isn’t the only park that gets in on the After Hours fun! Disney After Hours at Disney’s Hollywood Studios also gives you the chance to enjoy many of the attractions at Disney’s Hollywood Studios with minimal lines. Ticket prices for this one range from $155 to $189 per person, depending on the date. After Hours Event On most dates, the event runs from 9:30 PM to 12:30 AM (which is the case for all of the June dates), and you can also enter as early as 7:00 PM, just like in Magic Kingdom. The Hollywood Studios After Hours dates for next month are June 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 24th. Toy Story Mania After Hours As is the trend for After Hours events, capacity for this super is limited, which means little to no wait for most of the attractions that are open! The available attractions are subject to change, but the ones Disney lists include Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Slinky Dog Dash, Toy Story Mania, and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, among others. And if you like Character Greetings, be sure to keep an eye out for surprise characters that “roam the streets of Hollywood!” Crowds during Hollywood Studios After Hours Ice cream novelties, popcorn, and select drinks are included in Hollywood Studios as well, so you can keep yourself fueled during the event! Again, just make sure to lock down those tickets as soon as your plans are set, since dates do sell out. Disney After Hours at EPCOT Next up, EPCOT also offers After Hours events, similar to the ones in Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios! Tickets for Disney After Hours at EPCOT range from $155 to $179 per person, depending on the date. EPCOT After Hours EPCOT’s After Hours events take place from 9:30 PM to 12:30 AM, and (you guessed it) you can enter the park as early as 7:00 PM with your event ticket. Next month’s EPCOT After Hours dates are June 11th and 18th. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure Also similar to the other parks, the limited capacity offers easy access to attractions open during the event. Of course, they are subject to change, but the list includes headliner rides like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Soarin’, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, and Frozen Ever After, to name a few. Other entertainment includes character meet and greets and a DJ in World Discovery! Mickey’s Ice Cream Bar You can also snag those ice cream novelties, popcorn, and select drinks included with the price of your ticket. And, at the risk of sounding like a broken record, remember to buy your tickets as early as possible in case dates start to sell out! Disney H2O Glow After Hours at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon This one’s for the water park fans! H2O Glow After Hours is a separately ticketed event at Typhoon Lagoon Water Park that adds a “glow-in-the-dark” spin to the late-night event game! Tickets for this one are $85 to $89 per person, varying by date. H2O Glow After Hours The event takes place from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and guests can enter as early as 6:00 PM. The H2O Glow dates for next month are June 2nd, 13th, 19th, and 27th. Jessie and Woody at H20 Glow in 2018 Since it’s a limited-capacity event as well, guests can enjoy shorter lines and lower crowds for attractions, including the Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool, Castaway Creek, raft rides, and waterslides… and they are illuminated for the nighttime just for the event! There are more event-exclusive offerings as well, including a DJ dance party, exclusive menu items, Disney character appearances, and more. Strawberry Matcha Swirl Cone Select novelty ice cream treats, popcorn, and some drinks are included at this event as well! And, say it with us, get your tickets soon if you’d like to attend, since capacity is limited. Extended Evening Hours Okay, this is where things get a bit different! Extended Evening Hours is the only item in this list that you CAN’T buy a ticket for. Extended Evening Hours is a perk offered for guests staying at a Deluxe or Deluxe Villa Walt Disney World Resort hotel for the length of their stay. Just keep in mind that to access Extended Evening Hours, you do need a regular park ticket for that day. Extended Evening Hours at EPCOT During extended hours, select attractions, merchandise, and food and beverage locations are open. Although, unlike the After Hours events listed above, you won’t find the free snacks and drinks at Extended Evening Hours! Test Track during Extended Evening Hours at EPCOT Extended Evening Hours are offered only at one park on select dates, with day-by-day details available on the Disney World park calendar. Millennials across the country are preparing to head to their local movie theater for one reason and one reason only… @Disney …Toy Story 5! That’s right, seven years after Toy Story 4, the toys are BACK! The new film hits theaters on June 19th, 2026, and is all about toys vs. technology. Multiple new characters are being introduced in this sequel, including a new villain, of course. But, ahead of the movie’s premiere, make sure you keep an eye out around Disney parks for some NEW looks on your favorite Toy Story characters! Jessie is rocking a new Sheriff badge, Woody has a fashionable scarf bandana, and Buzz has a shiny new star sticker badge on his spacesuit, too. Looks like we’ll be seeing some updated looks on these characters in the new Toy Story 5 movie, and we can’t wait! Woody and Jessie at Magic Kingdom The new movie is set to be released in theaters on June 19th, 2026. Disney teased that the film will follow the toys as they find their jobs to be harder than ever as they compete with electronics. The film is directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Andrew Stanton, who shared, “Through the experiences of these toys, we’ve learned about loyalty and belonging and friendship, and these characters give a perspective about growing up and navigating life.” ©Disney Tim Allen, the voice of Buzz Lightyear, previously spoke about the new movie as well, explaining that the movie will largely focus on Jessie. A NEW version of a beloved ride is getting ready to open in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and we’ve got all the details! Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run in Galaxy’s Edge is getting an update for the release of The Mandalorian and Grogu. The new version of the ride opens on May 22nd and will feature some pretty big changes, like new scenes and some upgrades for the ride’s engineer role. But ahead of the opening of the attraction, we got to learn more about the Easter eggs and hidden details! During a media event, we got the chance to speak with Imagineer Morgan who’s a software designer project manager for Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. She revealed to us some things that Star Wars fans will want to look out for, as well as a SECRET mode to unlock while you’re riding! Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run First of all, she noted that while riding, you’ll want to pay attention to the signs you pass on Coruscant, as well as any ships you see on Bespin or Coruscant. If you’re familiar with Star Wars ships, you’ll likely spot some that you recognize! Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run In addition, while you’re on Coruscant, if you fly to the left, you’ll be able to hear cantina music. We had a hard time getting this one to work for us when we rode the attraction, so we haven’t yet confirmed if this is general cantina music or specifically “Cantina Band” the song itself. New missions on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run But the biggest hidden detail for this ride? GROGU MODE! In order to access this hidden mode of the attraction, you’ll need to have two gunners in your ride vehicle. When you board, each gunner will need to hit their buttons in a specific order. The gunner on the left presses the left-most white button under the screen and then their flashing button. The gunner on the right presses the right-most white button under the screen and then their flashing button. HE’S SO CUTE If you do this, you’ll unlock a version of the ride where Grogu will narrate nearly the entire thing for you. So instead of hearing Mando’s voice throughout, you’ll hear adorable baby alien noises! Mando does step in a few times to give instructions for when to shoot at targets or to let the engineer know to choose the planet for the mission, but it’s mostly just Grogu throughout. We have to help them on their bounty hunt! This version of the ride was seriously so cute and fun, and we’d definitely recommend it for a second or third ride of the new version (you might want to hear the original audio for the new missions first). With these hidden details in mind, this attraction is going to interest Star Wars fans in a whole new way! Disney World is home to numerous iconic restaurants, from heavily themed establishments right out of films to upscale table service eateries that many would think appear “too classy” for a theme park. Chef Mickey! However, for guests visiting Walt Disney World this summer, not all of these iconic eateries are created equal, and guests are skipping out on some well-known restaurants for various reasons. Chef Mickey’s Chef Mickey’s is often a controversial Disney restaurant. On the one hand, the buffet provides basic crowd-pleasing fare, especially for kids, and who doesn’t love seeing Mickey and co. in their chef outfits? On the other hand, the loud environment, the aforementioned basic food, and the general hectic nature of the restaurant make it a skip for many already. Plus, you have other options to meet these characters. Mickey and Minnie, along with their friends, meet with guests at Hollywood & Vine in Disney’s Hollywood Studios (and it features different themes, depending on the season). Or you can meet Minnie and her pals at the highly underrated Cape May Cafe at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. For a more upscale character breakfast, go to Topolino’s Terrace at Disney’s Riviera Resort. We’re also big fans of Garden Grill’s character dining at EPCOT. Chef Mickey’s Buffet On top of all that, guests this summer may further sidestep Chef Mickey’s around brunch hours since it may be more crowded, thanks to the summer-long closure of its neighbor hotel’s Grand Floridian Cafe and its brunch. While the Grand Floridian is offering a replacement brunch at Citricos, it seems likely that more guests would head over to Chef Mickey’s. Buttermilk Fried Chicken and Waffle Wailulu Bar & Grill We’re big fans of the Wailulu Bar & Grill at the Polynesian Resort’s Island Tower, so this skip isn’t due to the restaurant itself. Rather, it’s all about construction. As part of a larger series of projects at the Polynesian, for the duration of June, updates are being made to the exterior roofing. The restaurant will remain open during the project, but it’s only offering walk-up service until 5:00 PM, with seating from 5:00 PM until closing. Wailulu construction Be Our Guest and The Crystal Palace We’re grouping these two Magic Kingdom restaurants together because two particular groups should probably skip both for the same reason. During the summer of 2026, Disney is hosting two major events: V.I.Passholder Days for Annual Passholders, which runs from May 1st through July 31st, and Welcome Home Weeks for Disney Vacation Club Members from July 22nd through August 26th. Be Our Guest Each event offers a series of benefits to members, including dining discounts. Both Be Our Guest Restaurant (lunch only) and The Crystal Palace offer 20% off to APs and DVC Members. However, other restaurants on the property offer double that! Magic Kingdom’s Crystal Palace During the V.I.Passholder, AP’s can save 40% off at the following restaurants—valid Monday to Thursday only from May 1st through July 31st.
