It’s not every day we get to say that a whole new land has opened in Disney World, but you can bet that when it happens, we are celebrating. Cue the balloons, streamers, confetti, and anything else that you need to party it up because we’re heading to Hollywood Studios. Walt Disney Studios Walt Disney Studios officially opened on May 26th, 2026. This land replaced the Animation Courtyard and Star Wars: Launch Bay. While we said a tearful goodbye to the original land, we’re grabbing our sketchbooks and getting ready to be animated. Now that the walls are down, let’s take a look at everything! Come on in! The whole courtyard is nice and open with trees. While it’s busy right now, we think this will be a great space for relaxing in the future. Donald Duck Check out all the handprints on the cement! They’re dedicated to popular Disney characters, and there are so many to obsess over. Handprints all over! We’re obsessed with the little animals around, too. Pua and Thumper in Walt Disney Studios There are so many to check out and take photos with. Mrs. Big and Sir Hiss We got to see a lot of characters roaming around, too. We saw Donald Duck and Mulan… Mulan …Goofy… Goofy …Chip ‘n Dale… Dale …Stitch… Stitch …and Pluto. Pluto The Magic of Disney Animation will be opening later this summer and will be home to.. Sorcerer’s Hat is back! …an indoor playground dedicated to Mary Blair’s original concept art of Alice in Wonderland… ©Disney …and probably what most people are excited for, Olaf Draws! Bluey is officially in Disney World, and honestly, we are SO excited about it. Jumping Junction! Now, we’ll have to say that we weren’t entirely excited to learn that Bluey is taking over what was once a very quiet area at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, but we’re still pretty stoked that she’s made her way to the East Coast (Bluey has already debuted at Disneyland!). While one of the main attractions at Bluey’s Wild World is the show with Bluey and Bingo themselves, you can also head on over to Jumping Junction, which is where you can see animals straight from Bluey’s home of Australia! Welcome to Bluey’s Wild World! You’ll find this new experience at Conservation Station at Disney’s Animal Kingdom starting today, May 26th. Now, this isn’t just a chance to see Bluey and Bingo and play some games with them. The experience includes Jumping Junction at what was once Affection Section, where you’ll also be able to get up close and personal with some animals native to Bluey’s home country, like kangaroos and wallabies. Welcome to Jumping Junction! Currently, guests aren’t able to get close to the animals, as they’ve just recently arrived and will need some time to acclimate to the environment before guests can get closer. Right now, you can see them well through the fences, but once the animals are more comfortable, guests will be able to walk around with them. However, there won’t be any petting of the animals, so if you’re planning to visit, make sure to keep your little ones close! Currently, you can see the animals through the fences! There are both kangaroos and wallabies in the area, and you can use this nearby helpful sign to tell the difference. Kangaroos and Wallabies Now, we know a LOT of people are going to want to visit this experience, so we’re telling you now to prepare for long lines for both the Wildlife Express, which you’ll have to take to get to Conservation Station, as well as long lines at the experience itself. You’ll also need to get a Virtual Queue reservation when they open at 7 AM and 10 AM if you’d like to experience this new attraction, so you won’t just be able to walk up and hop aboard the train! If Bluey’s arrival in Disneyland is any indication, things might be a little chaotic for a while, especially as part of Animal Kingdom is closed due to construction on Pueblo Esperanza, a new land coming to the park. A new Disney World hotel is opening in 2027, but not all Disney fans are excited about it. ©Disney Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge is being built as we speak, and Disney recently announced that this Disney Vacation Club Resort will officially open in summer 2027. Lakeshore Lodge is located in the former home of Disney’s River Country water park near Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. While some Disney fans are excited by the possibilities that come with a new hotel, others are already disappointed in it. It’s HUGE Disney has confirmed that Lakeshore Lodge will be a massive addition to Disney World, with 967 rooms planned for the property. That makes it one of the larger Disney Vacation Club resorts on property, and some fans are already worried that the scale could impact the peaceful, nature-focused atmosphere that many guests associate with the Fort Wilderness area. Disney has shared that the resort will include a wide variety of accommodations, from standard studios to larger suites, along with new 1- and 2-bedroom Lake Houses positioned along the waterfront. ©bioreconstruct The size of the project also has some people worried about how much it could change the surrounding area visually. Lakeshore Lodge is being built near Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, which has historically been known for its quieter, rustic atmosphere. Fans who love the campground’s wooded setting and laid-back feel are concerned that a nearly 1,000-room resort could dramatically shift the vibe of that corner of Disney World. Under construction More of the Same Another major concern from fans is that Lakeshore Lodge is being developed as a Disney Vacation Club resort. While DVC properties are known for beautiful accommodations and deluxe amenities, they’re also typically among the most expensive hotel options at Disney World. Many fans were hoping Disney’s newest resort would introduce more moderate or value-level pricing to help offset rising vacation costs, especially as Disney vacations continue getting more expensive overall. ©Disney Because DVC resorts are heavily geared toward members and deluxe travelers, some guests worry that Lakeshore Lodge may feel financially out of reach for the average Disney vacationer. Even cash rates at newer DVC resorts can be extremely high, particularly for rooms with premium views or larger accommodations. For guests who miss the days of more affordable Disney resort expansions, this announcement has been a disappointing one. Why Disney Fans Are Suddenly Changing Their Hotel Plans When This Big Announcement Drops ©Disney The Lake Houses One of the biggest conversation starters surrounding Lakeshore Lodge has been the newly revealed Lake Houses. Disney’s concept art shows striking A-frame-inspired structures with an entire wall made of glass facing the water. While the design certainly looks modern and luxurious, some fans immediately pointed out a potential downside: heat. In Florida, large glass windows can quickly turn rooms into greenhouses, especially during the summer months when temperatures and humidity soar. Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge Beyond temperature concerns, some guests are also questioning how private these accommodations will actually feel. The open glass-front design may provide beautiful waterfront views, but it could also leave guests feeling exposed, particularly at night when interior lights are on. Disney will likely incorporate shades, smart glass, or other privacy features, but until more details are released, fans are already debating whether the design prioritizes aesthetics over comfort. We just found the cutest drink EVER in Disney World. Yes, we eat and drink all day long at Disney World, but sometimes, there are treats that surprise us in the absolute best way. Chip is a big fan This time, we’re heading to the snack cart in Walt Disney Studios, the brand-new land in Hollywood Studios, and this is our very first snack we’re grabbing in the new area! Okay, we’re kinda freaking out about the new area, which is packed with tons of Disney animation nods, but now we get fun snacks too? We couldn’t ask for more. We grabbed the Chip ‘n Dale Ani-made for $19.49. It’s made with Minute Maid Premium Lemonade, DOLE Pineapple Juice, and watermelon syrup. Chip ‘n Dale Ani-made From the very first sip, we knew it was a hit. It’s very sweet but wildly refreshing, so make sure you’re into sweet drinks before grabbing this. With the Florida heat beating down, we were thrilled to have something to keep us cool as we ran around the park. Hollywood Studios can get super hot, so we’ll do anything to cool down. Chip ‘n Dale were big fans It gave us a boost to keep going! It was easy to drink and, honestly, just super fun. The best part? It comes in this cool sipper. You have to purchase it in the sipper, and you cannot just grab the drink, but it’s a great nod to animation. You get to sip through the eraser, and it even feels a bit rubbery. Just look at the details! SO cute The drink is perfectly on brand for Cool KIDS’ SUMMER and Walt Disney Studios. We’ll definitely be getting it again until we have a collection of sippers. Today is a HUGE day in Disney World, and we’re out here covering it all! Yes, all four parks! Hey, Bluey! Cool KIDS’ SUMMER kicks off today, and numerous attractions officially open, including (but certainly not limited to) Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Soarin’ Across America in EPCOT, Jessie’s Roundup in Magic Kingdom, and, of course, Bluey’s Wild World in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. That last one is the attraction Disney has been expecting the most hype around, as they brought back the Virtual Queue system to manage crowds. However, there’s something VERY important you need to know about your return time for this attraction, because it’s more detailed than it seems. The Bluey’s Wild World Virtual Queue opens at both 7 AM for guests who have a park pass reservation for that day, or a date-based ticket, and again at 10 AM for anyone who is inside the park at that time. This morning, we saw it fill up in seconds at 7 AM, and the same thing happened again at 10 AM, so yes, this is a VERY popular experience. Cool KIDS’ SUMMER has begun! When your group gets called, you’ll head to the Wildlife Express, which is the train that takes you over to Conservation Station, where Bluey’s Wild World is. Here’s the catch — you can’t board the train BEFORE your Virtual Queue is called, but Cast Members will only ask to see your VQ, they WON’T officially scan it (that comes later). Just like with other Virtual Queues, you have an hour to redeem it, but in our experience, getting from the Wildlife Express to the entrance of the show, where your VQ is officially scanned, can sometimes take up to an hour. Let’s go! What does that mean? We suggest that the moment you see that your group is called, you head to the Wildlife Express to get in line. While you may not have to wait long for the train itself, it’s when you get to Conservation Station that the bulk of your waiting may take place, and begin to stress you out. The entrance to the Wildlife Express We’ve seen the line outside (and inside, since it’s partially indoors) last through THREE rotations of the show, which is 14 minutes EACH. Yes, that means people were waiting in line for the show for upwards of 45 minutes, but that was before their Virtual Queue was scanned at the front of the line! If your return time is only an hour, plus the grace period window? Yeah, that timeline can get concerning real fast. This line can take a while Now, we’re expecting to see this change a bit as the Virtual Queue continues to work and Disney sees what adjustments need to be made, and it’s also possible we’ll see Cast Members be lenient with the return time, but that’s NOT something you want to rely on! For now, plan to be there as early as you can to be on the safe side. Plan ahead! We LOVE a day at EPCOT, but sometimes between the festival crowds and the long wait times, we just need to escape, and we found the perfect place to do so. Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Disney World’s Swan and Dolphin Resort is a hidden oasis to some Disney guests, while others have visited the parks for years without ever thinking of it. While it is not owned by Disney World, instead it’s a Marriott resort, it is located within minutes of both EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. If you’re anything like me, and the parks become overly crowded and the heat is scorching, heading to this resort can turn your whole day around. There are two ways that you can head to the Swan and Dolphin Resort from EPCOT. First, you can take the walking path that starts at the International Gateway, where you will pass Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club, and end up right at the resort. The walk is around a half mile, and depending on factors will take 10-15 minutes. The other option is to take a Friendship Boat located right outside of the International Gateway, which will stop at the Swan and Dolphin. There’s the boat! If you are looking for a grab-and-go snack, soda, or even a coffee, you can head to either Fuel, inside the Dolphin hotel, or Java, inside the Swan hotel. Fuel even has a self-serve frozen yogurt bar if you’re looking for a sweet treat. Also, hot tip, this is one of the only places you can find Dr. Pepper on Disney property, so act accordingly. DIY DOLE Whip Both locations have a specialty coffee and espresso bar to give you that afternoon caffeine fix to keep your Disney day going. They also sell sandwiches, salads, chips, and more for easy convenience. No long lines or Mobile Order is necessary. Why We Pick This Resort Over Disney World’s Deluxe Hotels Again and Again Inside Java at Swan The Fountain is a cozy diner inside the Dolphin resort that you could opt to visit. Well-known for their decadent milkshakes and hand-dipped ice cream cones and sundaes (we recommend the apple pie caramel sundae!), you can also get some delicious burgers, sandwiches, hot dogs, chili, soup, and more at this fun location. (And if you don’t have time to sit and dine at The Fountain, you can grab an ice cream treat at the to-go counter!) The Fountain If you aren’t looking for a bite to eat or coffee, you can simply sit and relax in the lobby. The Dolphin’s lobby on the second floor has plenty of seating near a fountain that is just inviting you to come take a break indoors. There are a few nooks and crannies inside these resorts with seating that is quite so take a look around. One of my favorites is the courtyard area at the Swan. These hotels also have gift cards that sell some Disney merchandise, so you can even take time to stroll through them. Dolphin Lobby While this will obviously take time out of your park day, if you are truly looking for an escape, this is worth it. I promise, you won’t regret the visit here. If you are looking for a longer break from the parks, there are several fantastic restaurants here that you can make a reservation for, including Bourbon Steak or Il Mulino. Soarin’ Across America is officially open at EPCOT! The crowds at Soarin’ This new version of Soarin’ flies riders over the East and West coasts, seeing the United States’ natural beauty and iconic cityscapes. While the ride was in a soft opening phase for a few days before its official opening, we wanted to stop by and see if there were any crowds on opening day! When a new Disney World ride opens, lines can get loooong. And we mean two or more hours long! But luckily for you, Disney offers a skip-the-line service, because less waiting equals more rides! We created an easy-to-follow Lightning Lane guide to help you master Lightning Lanes and have an even easier Disney day! We didn’t know what to expect regarding Soarin’ Across America’s wait times and crowds. Yes, the attraction is now officially open. However, the ride has technically been open for a short time due to its early soft opening four days before the scheduled opening date. Soarin’ Across America So, when we got to EPCOT, the crowds weren’t that bad at all. In fact, we were more shocked at the small number of people who were trying to get on the ride right away. Again, this could be because people did the ride for either Passholder previews, in which Passholders didn’t need a virtual queue and could just show up to ride, or people rode it when it soft-opened. The crowds at Soarin’ When we got to Soarin’ Across America, the line was posted as 40 minutes, and then went up to 50 minutes after a couple of hours. Despite the new attraction, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Frozen Ever After, Test Track, and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind were still the popular draws with higher wait times (no surprise there). We’re headed to the new attraction! The queue is different with some new signage as well as posters for new locations around the world. There’s even a NEW trivia game that was added to the queue. The Soarin’ Challenge Across America was made in collaboration with National Geographic and will have you and your crew answering trivia questions about the 50 states. Queue updates! The ride is a completely new experience, while keeping the exact same ride system. The beginning opens with a rocket on the screen as you’re being raised into the skies, getting ready to take flight. The transitions between each scene didn’t feel as dramatic as other iterations of the ride. Soarin’ Across America features scenes from New York Harbor, the New England coastline, and Grand Canyon West. How gorgeous! Plus, you even spot some gorgeous views of Mount Rushmore and the Hollywood sign! Mount Rushmore in Soarin’ Across America Of course, the ride still had its signature scents! During our rides through, we noticed a grass scent in the prairie scene, a strong water smell in Louisiana, and a tropical flower for the Hawaii section. We think it might be hibiscus. A new attraction has opened in Disney’s Animal Kingdom..it’s time to visit Bluey’s Wild World! Let’s party! This is just one part of Disney’s Cool KIDS’ SUMMER event, taking place from May 26th through September 8th this year, but it’s easily one of the most anticipated offerings. This is being held over at Conservation Station, meaning you’ll need to take the Wildlife Express over. Prepare yourselves, though, because this area looks TOTALLY different now! Conservation Station is located in the back of Animal Kingdom, and to get there, you’ll need to board the Wildlife Express train in Africa. The train entrance got a new sign for the occasion! Bluey’s Wild World The train itself has been updated with new narration by Australian icon Robert Irwin. The whole area is now Australia-themed! Let’s go! When you disembark the train at Conservation Station, you’ll have the choice of a few different things to do. There are several Bluey photo ops on your way to the main building. There are also some stops if you’re working on Wilderness Explorer badges. Photo spots The former home of the Affection Section has turned into Jumpin’ Junction, where you can spot animals that are native to Australia. And inside Conservation Station’s main building, you can still spot the small animal exhibits, as well as check out the window into the operation room. On May 26th, we got to watch surgery on a wallaby! Wallaby surgery! But the big draw here is Bluey’s Wild World. It’s a 14-minute show in the spot where the Animation Experience used to live. To watch this show, you’ll need to join the virtual queue in the My Disney Experience app at either 7AM or 10AM. We got into the 7AM queue and were one of the first boarding groups called back to check it out. Our boarding group You’ll need proof of a virtual queue to board the Wildlife Express, but you won’t scan your virtual queue until you enter the Conservation Station building. Keep in mind that there’s an hour-long return window for your virtual queue, but you’ll need to allow for time to ride the Wildlife Express train and walk back here, so we recommend budgeting 30 minutes for that. Entering Conservation Station First thing in the morning, we only waited through one other show to watch Bluey’s Wild World, but by 11AM, the queue just to watch the show was over an hour. Disney seemed to be making adjustments in real time as the crowds arrived, so processes for entering the show may be different when you arrive. Crowd waiting for the show During the show, kids were invited to come to the front to play games with Bluey and Bingo! We played Magic Asparagus, Copycat Charades, and Keepy Uppy, all from the hit Bluey TV show. The kids were loving it. Hi Bingo! Bluey and Bingo roam through the crowd and interact with you throughout, even in the adults’ area. The characters are here! At the very end of the show, there’s a short dance party with the characters. Hey Bluey! This was a really great show for Bluey fans to see their favorite characters! The time is officially here! Disney World has made the change to The Diamond Horseshoe at Magic Kingdom, as your favorite pals from Pixar’s Toy Story are moving in! Jessie’s Roundup is HERE! A popular restaurant at Magic Kingdom called The Diamond Horseshoe is now the home to Jessie’s Roundup: A Rip-Roarin’ Revue! This exclusive experience is temporarily here for Cool KIDS’ SUMMER, which officially runs from May 26th through September 8th, 2026! We went to the park to check it out, and now we’re sharing everything we know with you! Cool KIDS’ SUMMER is underway, bringing unique and fun experiences for the little ones across the four Disney World parks. One of those experiences is the limited-time offering at Magic Kingdom, where Jessie, Woody, Bullseye, and more Toy Story pals take over The Diamond Horseshoe for songs, dancing, games, and other playful activities. Welcome to Jessie’s Roundup! When you walk into the space, you’ll see the games spread out first. There are big blocks for kids to play with, as well as a maze game for them to trace the way out with their finger, a small cornhole-style game, a ring around the horseshoe game, and a spot the difference picture game! Spot the difference! Everyone is also given a deputy star sticker when they enter, and you can either choose to put your name on it, or you can check out the adorable board available, where you can make your own deputy name based on your favorite Toy Story character. So fun! The main attraction in this space, though, is the two shows that happen randomly throughout the day! In the first show, you’ll hear Jessie and her friends sing about how she’s the yodeling cowgirl — Woody comes out to join her, too, which is lots of fun. Jessie and Woody! The other show features Bullseye and his friend Dusty Strings. They dance around with the kids in the crowd and even teach everyone in attendance the Horseshoe Stomp, which is also loads of fun. Bullseye! Not to mention, the AC in here is fantastic, and we’ve got a feeling this will be a great stop for families to take a quick breather while also making sure their kiddo stays entertained in a safe location. Kids will love it here! In case you were wondering, this is an entertainment offering, which means it is NOT a character meal. This restaurant won’t be open for dining during the summer. Bluey has officially moved into Disney World! Bluey’s Wild World just opened today at Animal Kingdom with so much Bluey-themed fun. Hi Bluey! We’re here to check out the new offerings and report on the crowds, so let’s dive into the full experience! Get ready folks, because Bluey is POPULAR. The first and most important thing you need to know is that Bluey’s Wild World is currently operating with a virtual queue. You can attempt to join the queue in the My Disney Experience app at 7AM and 10AM each day. Disney expects to eventually operate the attraction with a standby line, so we’ll update you when that change happens later on. Our boarding group We joined the 7AM virtual queue from the line at the entrance to the park, and we were surrounded by LOTS of people waiting to get in. The crowds were certainly heavy at opening time this morning! Lines at the entrance Things disappated a bit once we got into Discovery Island. Thankfully, the virtual queue system keeps folks from rushing back to Bluey. Crowds in Discovery Island Bluey’s Wild World is located at Conservation Station, which is only accessible by the Wildlife Express train. The area got a new sign ahead of Bluey’s arrival! NOTE: You will need to show proof of a virtual queue to board the train. The entrance The train has also been updated slightly with a new narration done by Robert Irwin — we are heading to an Australian-themed area, after all! Wildlife Express It’s important to note that because you don’t actually scan your virtual queue until you get to Bluey’s Wild World, you will need to allow time to ride the train and walk back to the building. We recommend 20-30 minutes (30 to be on the safe side) for this. Your virtual queue return time allows you one hour after your boarding group is called, so budget accordingly. The entrance to the show Bluey’s Wild World is a 14-minute show where small groups of people interact with Bluey and Bingo, play games, and dance. If you arrive while a show is in progress, you’ll be held in a waiting area off to the side. Between each show, there’s about a five minute transition period. Line for Bluey’s dance party Each show is capped at around 100 people, and that made the experience feel fairly intimate. Kids are encouraged to come forward and sit on the ground close to the front. It felt like being in a summer camp group! During the show, we played Magic Asaparagus, Copycat Charades, and Keepy Uppy. Bluey’s Wild World Bluey and Bingo roam throughout the group (including the adults) during the games. The show ends with a short dance party. Hi Bingo! Other things you can experience back here inclue the small animal exhibits inside Conservation Station and Jumpin’ Junction outside, which now features animals native to Australia. The window into the operation room is still available inside Conservation Station as well, and during our visit, we got to watch them perform surgery on a wallaby! There are also a ton of new Bluey treats, but we had to try the Fairy Bread Cake! This was so yummy – it’s a vanilla cake coated in white chocolate and topped with rainbow fairy sprinkles. We just found our new favorite Animal Kingdom dessert! Fairy Bread Cake We had so much fun seeing Bluey’s Wild World at Conservation Station. According to the Orlando Business Journal, the Orlando International Airport is joining the FAA’s Advanced Air Mobility pilot program. This is one of eight transportation organizations in the U.S. that were selected to join this year. ©Orlando Business Journal As part of the program, companies such as BETA Technologies are testing their eVTOL aircraft. This is a battery-powdered vehicle that takes off, hovers, and lands vertically like a helicopter but flies like a traditional airplane. They recently held a demo flight on May 18th at the Orlando Airport. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Deputy Administrator, Chris Rocheleau, said, “These partnerships will help us better understand how to safely and efficiently integrate these aircraft into the National Airspace System. The program will provide valuable operational experience that will inform the standards needed to enable safe Advanced Air Mobility operations.” ©Orlando Business Journal Right now, they’re going to focus on cargo delivery, medical responses, and passenger transportation. BETA’s aircraft can travel up to 215 nautical miles and hold four passengers. The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority CEO, Lance Lytee, told the Orlando Business Journal that the authority has plans for a vertiport and a research venture, both of which are in the early stages. ©Orlando Business Journal Lytee said, “We’re going to be a true intermodal facility at the airport. We have this all planned out, but the devil’s in the details, so we will have to work those out.” He said that people joke that it is a “Jetsons-like thing” without seeing it close up, but the demo lets people really see the reality of it. ©Orlando Business Journal On April 2oth, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill which will go into effect on July 1st to allow funding for vertiports in the state. The global head of sales with BETA Technologieis said: “I think Florida is showing the way in what local states should be doing.” ©Orlando Business Journal Testing of all eight pilot sites is expected to ramp up this summer. Disney World is very good at separating us from our money. One minute, you’re walking down Main Street, U.S.A., responsibly minding your own business. The next, you’re holding a bubble wand, a churro, a holiday popcorn bucket shaped like a character who has never once asked to be a bucket, and a $5 bottle of Diet Coke. Main Street Confectionery It happens. The parks are hot. The nostalgia is powerful. Your budget is a delicate little paper boat in a hurricane. But if you’re a Disney World Annual Passholder, there’s one shopping rule I use all the time, and while it’s not going to buy me a vacation home in Celebration, it has saved me real money over time. Before I buy a bottled drink from a snack cart, I check the nearest merchandise shop. The Rule: Check the Shop Before the Cart Here’s the thing. Disney World has bottled water, soda, and other grab-and-go drinks all over the parks. You’ll find them at snack carts, kiosks, quick-service counters, and random places where your overheated brain says, “Yes, obviously I need this right now.” And sometimes, that’s fine. We’re not here to shame a hydration emergency. DDP snack signs But many merchandise locations also sell bottled beverages. Think places like Main Street Confectionery in Magic Kingdom, larger park gift shops, resort gift shops, and other merchandise spots where you might already be wandering in to “just look.” Famous last words, of course. Bottled Beverages The difference? At many merchandise locations, Annual Passholders may be able to use their AP merchandise discount on those bottled drinks. Is this a glamorous savings hack? Not so much. No one is calling their accountant over a discounted Coke Zero. But why pay full price at a snack cart when you might be able to walk a few extra steps, flash that AP discount, and save a little? No, It’s Not a Fortune. That’s Not the Point. Let’s say a bottled drink is around $5. If your AP discount applies, you might save about a dollar. A dollar is not going to change your life. A dollar is not going to rescue your Disney budget from the emotional wreckage of booking a character breakfast for four. But Disney World is a place where small purchases multiply like rabbits wearing Spirit Jerseys. Bottled Beverages One bottled drink becomes two. Then it’s one for your kid. Then your partner wants one. Then you buy another because Florida has decided to become soup. Suddenly, you’ve spent the price of an entrée on drinks you could have made slightly cheaper by walking into a shop. That’s why this rule works. It’s not about one bottle. It’s about training yourself to stop giving Disney the full-price version of your money when the discount version is standing three doors down wearing mouse ears. Where This Works Best This trick is easiest in areas where merchandise shops and snack carts are close together. Magic Kingdom is a prime example. If you’re on Main Street, U.S.A. and you’re about to grab a bottled drink from a cart, check nearby shops first. Main Street Confectionery often has bottled beverages available, and it’s also a location where AP discounts may apply to select regularly priced merchandise. EPCOT is another good park for this because you’re constantly passing shops. Same with Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where you can usually find a merchandise location without performing a full cartographic expedition. This was free during our Starcruiser excursion. Animal Kingdom can be a little trickier depending on where you are, because sometimes the nearest beverage option is simply the nearest beverage option, and when you’re melting near Expedition Everest, principles become optional. Still, the rule remains: if there’s a shop nearby, check it first. The Catch, Because Disney Loves a Catch There are a few things to remember here. Annual Passholder discounts can vary by location, and they typically apply to select regularly priced merchandise. That means you should not assume every drink, every shop, or every transaction will qualify. This bag!@ Ask politely at checkout. Show your Annual Pass in the My Disney Experience app, have your photo ID ready if requested, and let the Cast Member confirm the discount. Also, don’t be weird about it if the discount doesn’t apply. This is a savings tip, not a courtroom drama. No one needs to argue beverage jurisprudence at the register while a family behind you is trying to buy a Stitch plush and three emergency lollipops. The goal is simple: ask, save when you can, and move on with your life like the hydrated little genius you are. This Works Best for Bottled Drinks This is not really a hack for specialty drinks, fountain drinks, Joffrey’s coffee, festival cocktails, or that frozen thing you bought because it was blue and came with a glow cube. We’re talking bottled beverages. Water. Soda. Maybe a bottled tea or juice, depending on what the location sells. A crisp Disney Coke The more basic the purchase, the easier this little rule is to use. If you’re already going to buy a standard bottled drink, it’s worth checking whether the shop nearby can sell you the same basic thing for a little less. It is extremely unflashy. It is also useful. Welcome to adulthood at Disney World. The Bigger Savings Move: Grocery Delivery Now, if we’re being honest, the best way to save on bottled drinks in Disney World is not buying them one at a time in the parks at all. If you’re staying at a Disney World hotel, consider grocery delivery. You can have a case of bottled water, sodas, sports drinks, or whatever beverage keeps your family from turning feral delivered to your resort. Then you can keep some in your room and toss one in your park bag before you head out. Groceries This is especially helpful if you have very specific beverage preferences. Maybe you only like one brand of sparkling water. Maybe your kid will only drink a certain juice box. Maybe you are a Diet Coke loyalist with the intensity of a medieval knight. No judgment. We all have our line in the sand. Bell Services Grocery delivery is also great for breakfast items, snacks, sunscreen, diapers, and all the other little things that cost approximately one pirate’s ransom once you’re inside the Disney bubble. Just remember that Disney’s grocery delivery policies can vary, and there may be fees if Bell Services brings the order to your room. Picking it up yourself at Bell Services may save you that extra charge. Pack One, Buy One Smart My favorite approach is a combo strategy. Start the day with a drink from your resort room. Bring a refillable water bottle if you’ll actually use it. Then, if you need a bottled beverage later, check a nearby merchandise shop before hitting the snack cart. Hydro Flask And yes, free cups of water are available at many quick-service locations, which is always worth remembering. But sometimes you want a cold bottled soda. Sometimes you want your emotional support beverage. Sometimes you want carbonation because your body has been powered by pretzels, adrenaline, and queue-based patience since 8:30 AM. That’s fine. Just buy it smarter. The Tiny Rule That Adds Up This is the kind of Disney World tip that sounds almost too small to matter. But the best Disney savings tips are not always dramatic. They’re not always giant discounts or secret codes or spreadsheets with seventeen tabs named things like “Snack Optimization.” Sometimes the savings come from small, repeatable habits. Check the shop before the cart. Use your AP discount when you can. Order drinks for your resort room instead of buying every single one inside the park. Must…find…water! None of this will make Disney World cheap. Let’s not get carried away. This is still a place where a balloon costs enough to make you briefly reconsider your life choices. But if you’re an Annual Passholder, you already paid for the privilege of having that discount. Use it. Even on the small stuff. Especially on the small stuff. Because at Disney World, the little purchases are where your budget quietly sneaks out the side door wearing a Mickey hat. And if I can stop even one $5 bottled soda from getting the full-price treatment, I will absolutely be doing that. Bluey is one of the most popular children’s shows in the world. The Australian blue heeler has captivated so many kids and kids-at-heart! Bluey is at Animal Kingdom! Now that Bluey has officially moved into Disney World, we were expecting Animal Kingdom to be crowded. But we still weren’t prepared for this many crowds! Here’s everything you need to know if you’re heading to the new Bluey’s Wild World experience at Animal Kingdom. Bluey’s Wild World is officially open at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. When we got to the park, the security line was pushed back fairly far, which led to the line to scan in being quite the wait. Normally, you can find that one touchpoint that nobody is lined up in front of. However, every touch point had a long line in front of it. We’re lined up to scan in! As soon as we walked in, you could really feel the crowds at Animal Kingdom. There are two paths to follow when walking towards the bridge in front of the Tree of Life, and both paths were full of people when we headed in. Crowds at Animal Kingdom To get to Bluey’s Wild World, you need to board the Wildlife Express Train to head back to Conservation Station, where Bluey and Bingo have moved. It seemed like that’s where everyone was headed! So many people! A Virtual Queue is being used for Bluey’s Wild World at the Conservation Station, and you’ll need to show your Virtual Queue spot before you’re able to board the Wildlife Express Train. So, the crowds continued over there as well! Everyone wants to see Bluey! We were so excited to meet Bluey and Bingo now that they’re at Disney World! The only thing is, we had to wait a while to see them. The wait for the show is about an hour today. Add in the time it takes to get on the train, and you’re looking at about a 90-minute total for the train and the show. Some families left the line after an hour! Line for Bluey’s dance party At Bluey’s Wild World, you can play special games directly from Bluey episodes, meet and take pictures with Bluey and Bingo, and even discover animals native to Bluey’s home country, Australia, at Jumping Junction! Bluey’s Wild World Disney World’s Cool Kids’ Summer has officially begun, and this is a great experience to do with your kiddos this summer. It’s easy to make some serious mistakes when rope dropping Magic Kingdom! Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Arriving at this park before it opens is a really helpful way to make sure you have a successful day. But if you’re going to invest the time and effort into rope dropping Magic Kingdom, you need a plan, and you need to know the RULES! Check out these maps to help you rope drop like a pro. Hotel Guests If you’re staying at a Disney World Resort hotel, you will have access to Early Theme Park Entry, meaning you can enter every theme park 30 minutes before its opening time each day. At Magic Kingdom, extra park time can be incredibly helpful because it’s the park with the most rides. For those planning to take advantage of this perk, we recommend arriving at Magic Kingdom’s entrance 15-45 minutes before Early Theme Park Entry begins. Magic Kingdom But there’s one important rule about Early Theme Park Entry at Magic Kingdom — it’s ONLY available for select attractions in Fantasyland and Tomorrowland. This means that if you’re rope dropping Magic Kingdom and doing early entry, you’ll not be able to access Adventureland, Frontierland, or Liberty Square until the official park opening time. To use Early Theme Park Entry, you’ll check in at either the bridge to Fantasyland or the bridge to Tomorrowland. You must scan in to show proof of a hotel reservation to get into those areas of the park 30 minutes early. The guide for Early Theme Park Entry! Basically, you’ll want to choose whichever of the two bridges leads to the attractions you want to ride. Tomorrowland will take you to offerings like Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin and Space Mountain, while Fantasyland will lead to the popular Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Peter Pan’s Flight. Every Magic Kingdom Ride and Attraction — Click Here! Off-Site Guests For those not staying at a Disney World Resort, you’ll be able to enter the lands of Magic Kingdom (besides Main Street, U.S.A.) at the official park opening time. Queues form outside the bridges to each land, and you can line up closest to whichever attraction you want to visit most. However, we generally encourage you NOT to head for Tomorrowland or Fantasyland first thing in the morning. Rope dropping guide for non-hotel guests! If you don’t have Early Theme Park Entry, you’ll already be “late” to Tomorrowland and Fantasyland ride queues when the park opens. You’ll end up with much shorter lines and a more effective rope drop strategy if you head for Adventureland, Liberty Square, or Frontierland. Line up on the left side of the park, and you’ll be able to rope drop rides like Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, Jungle Cruise, and Pirates of the Caribbean. All popular options! See Our Guide to Adventureland Here! Big Thunder Mountain Railroad or Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Speaking of that left side of the park, one of the most popular rope drop strategies is to head for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad or Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. If you have Early Theme Park Entry, you’ll want to knock out a ride or two in Fantasyland during your 30 early minutes, then line up to walk through Liberty Square over by Memento Mori and Columbia Harbour House. Columbia Harbour House For those without Early Theme Park Entry, we recommend lining up at the Liberty Square bridge. Do NOT line up at the bridge to Adventureland — yes, you can get to the rides by walking through Adventureland, but the folks coming from Liberty Square will beat you there nearly every time. Take this route! When you’re trying to be the first in line at a ride, even a few extra steps can make a big difference! What We REALLY Think About the New Version of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad TRON Lightcycle / Run Another popular option for rope drop is TRON Lightcycle / Run. This attraction is tricky because though it does reside in Tomorrowland, it is NOT included in the list of available attractions for Early Theme Park Entry. Therefore, you can’t plan to ride it during that 30-minute window. TRON Lightcycle/Run However, you CAN choose to line up outside the ride’s entrance during Early Theme Park Entry. You can either check out another ride in Tomorrowland nearby and then wait outside of TRON, or go straight to TRON and wait through the whole 30 minutes. Honestly, waiting through that window isn’t a terrible strategy, because the ride’s wait is usually more than an hour, and waiting 30 minutes would be a significant improvement. The pathway to TRON To get to TRON as fast as possible, take the Tomorrowland bridge. You can try rope dropping TRON at park opening, but you do so at your own risk since the Early Theme Park Entry folks can beat you there easily. Will I Fit on TRON Lightcycle / Run in Disney World? Tips for Early Theme Park Entry Now for some rope dropping tips! Starting with Early Theme Park Entry, our favorite strategy is to arrive 30-45 minutes before it starts and head straight to line up at the Fantasyland bridge. From there, we hit Seven Dwarfs Mine Train first, then knock out Peter Pan’s Flight. That’ll take care of two of the park’s longest wait times in one swoop! Afterward, you can line up near Columbia Harbour House to walk through Liberty Square, and you’ll have your choice of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, or Haunted Mansion to visit next. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train If you want to ride TRON, we recommend starting at the Tomorrowland bridge (arrive early here as well) and do either Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin or Space Mountain before lining up outside of TRON to wait for park opening time. The Guide to Getting Galactic Hero on Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin! Tips for Regular Rope Drop Starting your day with the regular people? That’s fine, you can still have a great rope drop! In that case, line up at the Adventureland bridge to accomplish the most. You can knock out Jungle Cruise first, followed by Pirates of the Caribbean, then head over to Haunted Mansion. Jungle Cruise If Big Thunder Mountain or Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is a priority, you can start at the Liberty Square bridge and go for one of those, but we’ll warn you that those two attractions are prone to delayed openings — if you arrive and the ride is down, it can mess up your rope drop plan. In general, we pretty much always recommend doing Haunted Mansion as a second or third ride instead of your first because its wait time stays low a little longer than the other heavy-hitters. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure If you’re taking the time to wake up early and rope drop the park, you need to go in with a plan! Rope dropping with an effective strategy can make or break your day. It’s time to play the music, and it’s time to light the lights, because Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets has officially opened at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster opens TODAY! The highly anticipated retheme of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster has finally arrived, and fans were flooding the park to check out the new ride. No, seriously, they were FLOODING Hollywood Studios. Wait until you see how crazy the crowds were during the attraction’s opening day. The crowds as soon as we entered the park were certainly intense, but things seemed to be moving pretty well at the turnstiles. No lines were wildly long right at rope drop, but something told us that was about to change as we got closer to the ride. Entrance crowds The crowd over on Sunset Boulevard is where things started to pick up, and we followed the mass of people to find a MAJOR line close to the ride! In fact, right around 7:25 AM, Cast Members were unable to safely keep all of the early theme park entry guests in the main queue, so they started diverting everyone back behind the Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After gate next to Tower of Terror. This was similar to what was done on the closing day of the Aerosmith version of the ride! Beginning to reroute guests Behind the gate, they also began to separate people who were hotel guests with Early Entry, and those who were not, as Early Entry guests would begin to move for the attraction faster than those with regular entry. People were split back here! When it comes to looking at the front of the attraction, it’s clear to see that it’s busy, but we think it doesn’t show just how many people are REALLY waiting behind the gate! Sure, it looks busy, but it’s nothing like what’s waiting behind the gate! Shockingly, at about 9:20 AM, after the ride had officially opened, the wait time was only 45 minutes! Perhaps it’s that the actual queue inside the ride building isn’t able to hold as many people, so this was the solution for the morning. We’re curious to see if they’ll need to use this behind-the-gate section of the ride queue for later in the day, or in the future. We’re ready to rock! It’s also important to note that, for now, the only way you’re able to get to Rock Around The Shop to see all the Muppets merchandise there is if you actually ride the attraction today. Otherwise, you’ll want to head to Carthay Circle, where there’s a sign up letting you know that Muppets merchandise is inside! Head here for Muppets merch! By about 9:40 AM, the wait time had jumped to 60 minutes, so we’re sure this is the start of those high wait times arriving for the foreseeable future for this ride. Today is a MASSIVE day in Disney World, for numerous different reasons. Typhoon Lagoon Over in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Bluey’s Wild World opens today, and at the same time, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets opens officially in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Cool KIDS’ SUMMER officially kicks off around the resort as a whole — the list goes on! However, one of our favorite parts about today is that a huge Disney World hotel perk finally returns for the summer, so if you’re staying on property this summer, don’t forget to take advantage of it! No matter what Disney World hotel you’re staying at, if you’ve got a reservation booked from today, May 26th, through the end of Cool KIDS’ SUMMER on September 8th, you get access to either one of Disney World’s two water parks for FREE on the day of your check-in! Whether you want to hang out at Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon, both of which are open all summer long, your Disney World hotel reservation gets you a free ticket, but it’s only available on the day you check in to your hotel. Blizzard Beach Originally, this perk was available all year in 2025, but it was changed to just the summer months this year. The perk has already been confirmed to return for 2027 as well, but it’s unclear what dates it’ll be available. This is a fantastic way to spend your first day of vacation, in our eyes. Blizzard Beach There’s nothing special you need to do to get the ticket — if you’ve got a reservation booked at a Disney World hotel between now and September 8th, you’ll have a water park ticket valid for that check-in day. At this time, though, there’s no way to change your access to a different day of your trip, so you either use it on day one or lose the opportunity to use it altogether. I don’t know about you, but I could blow my entire paycheck on the new Muppet souvenirs that dropped with Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets in Hollywood Studios. I have seen about five t-shirts I need, a few pins, and probably some stuffed Animals (haha, get it?), and as soon as I heard new souvenirs would be coming with the ride, I have been waiting until I can head straight to the gift shop and buy them. Opening day crowds While the attraction is now open to the general public, it’s not going to be as easy as you think to grab your new Muppet gear. When we went to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster on opening morning, we were going to head to the Rock Around the Shop, the gift shop at the end of the ride, but we found out that it’s only available for riders right now! This is probably to make sure there aren’t massive crowds near the roller coaster’s exit. Rock Around the Shop Now, before you’re wildly disappointed and think that your chance of securing Muppet merch is over, you can actually grab the items on Sunset Boulevard. You can find them in Carthay Circle, which is one of the shops along the sides of the street. Ready to shop! We’re not sure how long this rule is going to be in place, but we’re thinking it’s just until the crowds die down a bit. Because there’s a huge priority for these souvenirs, it’s nice to be able to grab them in two different locations, too. The ride exit I can’t resist — let’s talk about some of the items you can grab! Lots of Animals and an Anti-Fans shirt. #1 Anti-Fans! We’re always down for an RSVLTS shirt. Such a great combo! I’m going to need all of these Kermie ears because they’re too dang cute. The pins and water bottles are a nice addition, too. Kermie! Another Electric Mayhem t-shirt. The Electric Mayhem band! Miss Piggy needs her time to shine! Miss Piggy! Stickers galore! They’re similar to the t-shirt designs, so if you don’t want a bunch of t-shirts, this is a great way to go. So cute! Oh yeah, we LOVE this Loungefly bag. Two huge Lightning Lane changes have officially hit Disney World, and it could affect how you go about planning your Disney day going forward! Hollywood Studios Disney’s Hollywood Studios is looking completely different! Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets is finally open, Walt Disney Studios is here and ready to be explored, and even Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run is a whole new experience. With new stuff coming to the park, there have been some BIG Lightning Lane changes that you need to know about! Getting Lightning Lane at Hollywood Studios is getting more complex with two new additions to the Lightning Lane options at the park. The first one we’ll look at is that the new Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets is now officially a Lightning Lane Multi Pass option! Let’s ride Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster! When purchasing a Lightning Lane Multi Pass for Hollywood Studios, you’ll be prompted to choose up to 3 multi-pass experiences and arrival windows. The decision for choosing is going to be a little more difficult, as you can only choose ONE tier 1 experience between Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, Slinky Dog Dash, and now Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets With changes made to both Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and Smugglers Run, it’s a little more difficult to choose which you’ll want to use Lightning Lane on. Throw in the popularity of Mickey and Minnie and the long wait for Slinky Dog. It’s nothing we haven’t seen before, as the original Aerosmith version was first-tier for Lightning Lane Multi Pass, but it will take some getting used to again. Ready to rock! The next Lightning Lane change at Hollywood Studios is over at the new Walt Disney Studios area. No, it has nothing to do with the Magic of Disney Animation. It’s actually for the brand-new Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! show. Theater entrance The show featuring Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Daisy, and Pluto in a fun-filled party is also a part of the Lightning Lane Multi Pass line. It will be part of the second-tier Lightning Lane offerings. So don’t stress about throwing this into the selection of tier one experiences, where you can only choose one. Mickey and Minnie! The last show that was in the same location was also a second-tier Lightning Lane attraction, so this follows the same path. If you want to learn more about the Lightning Lane system, take a look at the different kinds of Lightning Lanes in Disney World: Lightning Lane Multi Pass Lightning Lane Single Pass Lightning Lane Premier Pass Mickey’s friends! Just remember that if you get the Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you can select three attractions to skip the line for in your chosen park before your trip even begins. You can choose one from Tier One and two from Tier Two. As you use your Lightning Lanes throughout the day, you can book new ones for attractions that are still available for the day. If you’ve been a Disney World fan for a while, then you remember virtual queues. You’d wake up at 7 AM on the dot, load up the My Disney Experience app, and hope for a spot on your favorite ride. Bluey has hit Disney World! Virtual Queues for big-ticket attractions have been phased out at Disney World – but now they’re back for Bluey’s Wild World! Now that Bluey’s Wild World is open at Animal Kingdom, the virtual queue is back! You must join the virtual queue to experience Bluey’s Wild World at Conservation Station, the Wildlife Express Train, Jumping Junction, and the Animal Care experiences at Conservation Station. Virtual Queue on the My Disney Experience app You can request to join the virtual queue via the My Disney Experience app at either 7 AM or 10 AM. To join at 7 AM, you’ll need a theme park reservation for Animal Kingdom, but you can be anywhere – you don’t need to be inside the park. To join the virtual queue at 10 AM, you must be scanned into Animal Kingdom. Animal Kingdom Main Entrance It’s important to note that for popular attractions, a virtual queue isn’t guaranteed. If you don’t get a virtual queue at the 10 AM registration, you won’t be able to go to Conservation Station that day. Disney has stated that a standby queue will not be available at the opening of Bluey’s Wild World, but will open a standby queue at a later date. ©Disney When we got to Animal Kingdom, we had our virtual queue ready to go at 7 AM! We were Boarding Group 2, so we waited for our group to be called, and then we were finally able to head back to Bluey’s Wild World! We were called back before the park even opened since they usually call a few groups at a time. Well, we’re as excited as anyone, and we made sure we got in the virtual queue to visit the new experience (which also still includes the veterinary treatment room, the animal nutrition window, the science center, and more. However, we’re going to talk about all the new Bluey merchandise coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom…and we’ve got your first look at EVERYTHING you can buy. You’ll find this new Bluey merchandise in just two locations at Animal Kingdom: at Island Mercantile on Discovery and at Conservation Station.
