Walt Disney World has over 25 on-property hotels, and not all of them are created equal. Some, like the Polynesian or Contemporary, are iconic, while others, like the Value Tier resorts, with their gigantic icons, have come to symbolize the resort. However, others remain a bit more…under the radar. Disney’s Port Orleans — Riverside Take the Port Orleans Riverside Resort. This hotel — which opened under the name Dixie Landings back in 1992 — is “hidden” with its sister resort, Port Orleans French Quarter, at the edge of the property near Disney Springs. Between them, the two Port Orleans Resorts have over 3,000 rooms — the most on Disney property. In fact, Port Orleans Riverside has over 2,000 rooms, making it the second-largest Disney World hotel. The room Riverside’s rooms offer a bit of rustic charm with modern amenities. Take a look at this room in the hotel’s Alligator Bayou section. Disney’s Port Orleans Resort Riverside In addition to two beds, the room also includes a table and chairs with a faux homemade look… Table and Chairs … and a Murphy Bed bench/bureau. Bureau Note some of the intricate decorative work present in the room. The details The rustic details extend to the furniture… So pretty … night table… Table … and even the air conditioning unit. Stay warm or cool Themed artwork is present on the walls… Pretty art … and even extends to the bathroom with a Princess and the Frog-inspired shower curtain. Tub and toilet Speaking of the bathroom, the room offers a faux wood-paneled shower… Shower … and washboard details, adding to the rustic feel. Love the washboard detail Modern amenities present in the room include a litany of outlets… Outlets …a coffee maker… Coffee maker … and even the “Hey Disney” voice assistant. Hey Disney Alexa However, that’s not all there is to the story! Right now, the Port Orleans Riverside Resort is in the midst of room refurbishment that will be completed in August 2027, and we got a sneak peek at one of the new rooms in the hotel’s Magnolia Bend area recently. During our short tour, we were shown a room decked out for Cool Kids Summer, including Toy Story toys… Decked out for Cool Kids Summer … and of course Bluey and Bingo! The true stars of Cool Kids Summer The room also featured several of the newer childcare options Disney offers on display, including a crib… Crib … Diaper Genie… Diaper Genie … and a bath seat! Bath Seat The new rooms retain decorative artwork… Artwork … and features in line with the hotel’s theme. Notice the themed tilework elements. No matter if you get a newly upgraded room or an older room, we have to say we adore staying here. On top of the rooms, Port Orleans Riverside offers the typical perks of a Moderate Tier Walt Disney World hotel, plus access to the Sassagoula Boats. The boats, which generally operate from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM, connect the Port Orleans Resorts to Disney Springs, as well as the Saratoga Springs and Old Key West resorts. When we’re at Disney Springs, we love going to The Edison. They have a wide variety of cocktails and entrees for lunch and dinner, but did you know they also serve brunch? Time for brunch! Their brunch is a hidden gem at Disney Springs, only served on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30 AM to 3 PM. So when we saw that they added a bunch of new food to their brunch menu, we had to try it! The Churrafles are $15. These are fried waffles coated in cinnamon sugar, served with vanilla cream and dulce de leche. Churrafles While the waffle itself was tasty, it was cooked to a crisp. And we don’t mean a flaky, crispy exterior; we mean on the burnt side – these were pretty tough and not easy to cut with a fork and knife. The dulce de leche was thick and creamy, but it still didn’t help with the dryness of these waffles. The cinnamon sugar was very prominent, and we really enjoyed the flavor of these. We’re hoping we just got a bad batch while they’re still perfecting the recipe. Churrafles The Sticky Monkey Bread is $16. It’s house-made apple-cinnamon brioche pull-apart bread that’s absolutely smothered in toffee caramel. Sticky Monkey Bread The brioche bread was super soft and fluffy with a ton of cinnamon mixed in, but we didn’t get any apple flavor. We struggled to pull it apart, though, and needed to use our knife and fork. The toffee caramel is the star of the show – it’s a strong mix of toffee and caramel that manages to be not too sweet, and the spongy bread soaked it up for every bite. Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu just released in theaters last week on May 22nd, and has been met with mixed fan reviews. ©Disney But of course, despite these reactions, everyone loves this iconic duo of Mando and Grogu. And lots of people want to know when they’ll be able to see them on their TVs at home. So let’s dive into everything we know about when this movie will be available for streaming on Disney+. It has not been announced exactly when Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu will be making its Disney+ debut; however, if we take a look at some recent Disney movies, we can make a solid guess as to when we’ll be able to see the cutest guy in the galaxy (yes, we are OBSESSED with Grogu) on our screens at home. ©Disney Zootopia 2 was released in theaters on November 13th, 2025, and then came out on Disney+ on March 11th, 2026, meaning there were around five months until the Disney+ release. While the movies Hoppers, Elio, and Freakier Friday were all available on Disney+ around four months after their theater debut. Hoppers ©Disney This means that we can expect to see Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu hitting Disney+ sometime in August or September. When you look at the previous movie dates, only one was in theaters for five months: Zootopia 2. Zootopia 2 ©Disney Zootopia 2 absolutely crushed at the box office, earning over one billion worldwide and becoming the number one highest-grossing Hollywood animated film in history. Given this crazy success, that is most likely why Disney held off a little longer than normal before releasing it on streaming. Despite a successful opening weekend, Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu were not able to keep up with their initial success and have been underperforming at the box office. ©Disney So, it is difficult to note exactly when it will enter the world of streaming, but we can guess it may be closer to that four-month timeline since it does not have the immense success of a film like Zootopia 2 that would encourage Disney to keep the film off of streaming a little longer. For many of us, especially kids, Disney is our happy place…that place we go to in our minds when we’re stressed out and need a break from it all. And when you’re in a medical environment, feeling that is even more important. ©Disney Getting an MRI can be stressful, especially for a child who may not understand what’s going on. That’s why Disney has partnered with Philips to make MRIs less stressful for kids and make it a more pleasant experience. Walt Disney and Philips have worked together to bring Disney characters and stories directly into Philips Ambient Experience for MRI at medical facilities across 87 countries. This creates an immersive Disney-themed environment that takes a lot of the stress out of getting an MRI for a child so they can complete their scans successfully. Disney has even developed special content for medical settings, fulfilling a $100 million commitment to more than 1,700 children’s hospitals and pediatric care facilities. ©Disney Disney has even trained thousands of hospital staff members through Disney Institute programs and has provided the art and imagery for the MRI machines at no cost. The experience lets children and their families choose from characters across Disney’s properties, including classic Disney characters, Princesses, Marvel characters, Star Wars characters, and more. ©Disney MRI scans are stressful for children, especially since they require lying perfectly still for up to 40 minutes. Statistics state that 66 percent of children feel anxious during MRI scans. That means that they may need re-scans and often sedation. However, the Ambient Experience with Disney Themes has helped with that. A study shows that children’s stress levels were reduced by 43 percent, with pauses during scans dropping by 63 percent. ©Disney So how does it work? It starts before the scan, using calming lighting, sound, and visuals to help children relax, and continuing that during the exam. Children can choose their favorite Disney stories and characters to use during the experience. ©Disney “By bringing Disney stories into the MRI environment, we are helping create a setting where children can feel more at ease and remain still during scans,” said Atul Gupta, MD, Chief Medical Officer, Diagnosis and Treatment at Philips. “Reducing stress can improve the experience for young patients and their families, while helping care teams deliver efficient, high-quality imaging so they can care for more children each day, supporting better care for more people.” We’ll keep an eye out for more Disney news, so check back with AllEars again soon for more. These days, it feels like things are always changing in Walt Disney World! There are tons of new projects underway like Disney’s new Villains Land, Piston Peak land, Monsters Inc. Land, and more. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets Each week, it feels like Disney is spilling new information and details for us to dissect. That’s why we like to do a weekly wrap-up of the biggest news so you don’t miss a single thing. Let’s dive into this week’s latest and greatest Disney news and trust us — this week was a BIG ONE! This past week felt like one of the biggest weeks we’ve experienced in a LONG time in Disney World. Our team actually compared it to Disney World’s 50th anniversary, which was a seriously busy day. This week was super exciting, so let’s dive into all of the details! Everything That Happened on May 26th! May 26th was a massive day for Disney World. It almost feels like what DIDN’T start on that day? In Hollywood Studios, the Walt Disney Studios began its phased opening, and the Muppets Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster opened up. Plus, you can now shake your tail feathers at Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets In Animal Kingdom, the Bluey takeover began over at Bluey’s Wild World! This family spot requires a virtual queue to experience, which went QUICKLY on the 26th. The show is 14 minutes long, and it’s not a traditional meet-and-greet experience. Kiddos get to dance, play, and create alongside Bluey and her sister Bingo! Bluey has hit Disney World! In EPCOT, GoofyCore at CommuniCore Hall kicked off with tons of fun! This spot is another dance and play area led by Goofy himself. Soarin’ Across America also officially opened for guests to see some of the most beautiful American sights. Goofy! Magic Kingdom isn’t one to be left out! Jessie’s Roundup, an interactive dance party with crafts and games, officially opened for the summer inside the Diamond Horseshoe. This dance party, as well as GoofyCore, will be open until September 8th, as a part of Cool Kid Summer. As you can see, this was a BUSY day in Disney World, and we aren’t even talking about all of the new snacks and merchandise that dropped that day. 7 Major Changes Just Hit Disney World Carousel of Progress Changes Construction is never done in Disney World, because Disney also announced a MAJOR update coming to the classic attraction, Carousel of Progress. Starting on July 6th, the rotating show will close to get a major overhaul of every scene. ©Disney Disney has shared the new updates are to help audiences feel more personal connections to the scenes. In Act 1, the Progress family will be gathered together to watch the historic moon landing. Act 2 will see the family in the 1980s. On Halloween night in 1985, Sarah will take center stage as she shares all about how the new appliances and gadgets are making life easier for the whole family. John is out on the porch handing out candy to trick-or-treaters, and poor Uncle Orville will still be in the bathroom with “no privacy at all around here!” Act 3 takes us to New Year’s Eve 1999, just ahead of the new millennium. Finally, Act 4 will give us a glimpse into the possible future! ©Disney These changes will be in addition to the previously announced Walt Disney animatronic coming to the show. Fans are pretty torn over the updates, but we’re eager to see what the changes will look like when it reopens sometime in 2027. “Stop Ruining The Old Stuff” Disney Fans React To Latest Carousel of Progress News Art of Animation Updates Finally, Disney confirmed that NEW rooms are coming to a very popular hotel. This week, they confirmed that in summer 2027, Disney’s Art of Animation will be getting a refresh. The resort will stay open throughout the updates, and the guest rooms and family suites will be updated. Art of Animation The Little Mermaid rooms, Cars rooms, Lion King rooms, and Finding Nemo rooms are all getting in on the updated fun. The new Mermaid rooms will still feature Ariel themeing but it will be more immersive than the current versions of the rooms. Disney hasn’t shared a TON of info on what to expect, but we do know that the Mermiad rooms will have under-the-sea prints and a Murphy bed, along with a seashell bed and chairs. For weeks now, we’ve been seeing an increase in fuel prices, partly due to the higher price of gas all around, which has been affecting travelers who are both flying and driving to their destinations. Southwest Airlines However, the hope has been that fuel prices will fall again at some point, hopefully sooner rather than later. That would hopefully mean that the cost to fly would also go down…right? Well, according to the CEO of Southwest Airlines, the answer could be no. In a recent interview at Bernstein’s 42nd Annual Strategic Decisions Conference, Dallas News has reported that Southwest CEO Bob Jordan is reporting that, in short, even when fuel prices are lower, it’s very likely we’ll see the cost of airfare remain high. Southwest Airlines He’s quoted saying, “I think we — our network competitors, you can tell, we’re all focused on ratable production of results, steady production of results, sustainable margins. And so I do think that produces a backdrop where we’ll — there’ll be — we’ll certainly not attempt to give some of these fare increases back.” Aircraft oil and fuel make up about 29% of the costs for an airline to fly, so the increase in price has certainly had a major impact. Why wouldn’t prices be lower for consumers, though, when fuel prices are lower? Well, Bob Jordan continued on, saying that even though the cost to fly has risen exponentially, there’s been no drop off in customers flying. Because of that, the airlines figure they can continue to charge more, make more money, and won’t see any repercussions for it. Southwest Airplanes In fact, Bob Jordan went as far as to say that we could see even MORE fare increases for passengers, stating that the current rate of price increases still supposedly isn’t enough to cover the price hike on fuel. Airline prices have risen nearly 21% in the past year for consumers, and, based on what we’re hearing here, it’s very likely that they could continue to increase throughout this year. Southwest Airlines gate at Harry Reid International Airport It’s important to note that ticket prices aren’t the only way airlines have been making back money to account for the increase in fuel prices. Disney World Annual Pass That’s where a Walt Disney World Annual Pass can start looking less like a luxury and more like a very shiny, very dangerous little math problem. Now, let’s be clear right out of the gate: an Annual Pass is not automatically the best deal for every Disney World guest. If you visit once a year for four park days, stay at a Disney hotel, never buy merch, and eat granola bars from your suitcase like a financially responsible forest creature, this may not be your golden ticket. But if you visit multiple times a year, drive to the parks, buy Disney souvenirs, book table service meals, travel during room-discount windows, or have a suspiciously large emotional attachment to EPCOT festivals, an Annual Pass can start clawing back its cost in a hurry. Suddenly, the Pixie Dust Pass is not just sitting there looking cute. It is doing chores. This perk is especially valuable for Florida residents, local-ish guests, and anyone who tends to stay off-property and drive to the parks. If you’re staying at a Disney hotel, standard theme park parking is already included during your resort stay, so this perk may not be as powerful for you. But for repeat day-trippers? Parking is the sneaky budget goblin, and an Annual Pass puts it in a little cage. Everything You Need To Know About Parking In Disney World 2. Up to 20% Off Select Merchandise Annual Passholders can get up to 20% off select merchandise at Walt Disney World Resort-owned and operated merchandise locations. Many in-park and resort shops at 20%, including locations like World of Disney at Disney Springs. World of Disney Let’s do the math: Spend $100 on qualifying merchandise? Save $20. Spend $250? Save $50. Spend $500 over a year? Save $100. Spend $1,000 because Loungefly, ears, ornaments, festival merch, spirit jerseys, and “this mug speaks to me”? Save $200. Disney Spirit Jerseys That said, this discount has exclusions. The discount applies at select locations and is not valid on certain items, including things like Disney Gift Cards, ticket media, many premium branded items, select collectibles, Savi’s Workshop, Droid Depot packages, and more. It also does not apply at many operating participant locations. Still, if your Disney shopping style involves saying, “I’m just going to look,” and then leaving with a bag that has its own weather system, this discount can matter. Dining Discounts at Select Restaurants Annual Passholders can save at select dining locations across Disney World, with many restaurant discounts listed at 10% off the regular price of food and nonalcoholic beverages. This includes some of our favorites like ’Ohana, 1900 Park Fare, 50’s Prime Time Café, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, Ale & Compass, Sanaa, The Crystal Palace, The Hollywood Brown Derby, and more. Aladdin Again, let’s turn this into real money: A $150 eligible meal subtotal? Save $15. A $300 family meal subtotal? Save $30. Five eligible $200 meals over a year? Save $100. Is that going to single-handedly buy your Annual Pass? No. But dining discounts are part of the bigger AP savings stew, and they taste better when combined with parking, merchandise, and hotel savings. Parker House Rolls Also, always ask before paying. Current 2026 examples include Annual Passholder offers of up to 40% off select rooms during certain summer, late summer, and early fall dates. Disney’s All-Star Resorts Here’s how quickly that can get real: A room that costs $500 per night for 4 nights would cost $2,000 before tax and fees. At 40% off, that’s an $800 savings. A $300-per-night room for 4 nights at 30% off saves $360. A $700-per-night Deluxe room for 4 nights at 40% off saves $1,120. Now, these offers are not guaranteed. They depend on dates, resorts, room categories, availability, and whatever mysterious energy controls Disney hotel pricing. But if you already plan to stay on property and can snag an Annual Passholder room discount, this can be one of the fastest ways for an AP to start justifying its existence. That strategy can sometimes unlock room discounts, parking benefits, and certain purchase discounts when the Passholder is present. This may not be the first perk people think about when buying an AP, but for repeat guests who have already done the headliners and now want the weird, wonderful, behind-the-scenes stuff, these discounts can add up. Behind the Seeds Tour of The Land Pavilion in Disney World’s EPCOT 7. Sports and Recreation Discounts Passholders can also save on select sports and recreation activities. For example, Disney lists 15% off the regular price at Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf Course, valid for the Passholder and up to 3 guests. This is the sort of discount that sounds tiny until you remember Disney vacations are made of tiny expenses stacked in a trench coat. Fantasia Mini Golf Course Mini golf. A tour. A snack. A shirt. A resort stay. Parking. By the end of the year, your Annual Pass has either saved you real money or at least softened the blow enough that your budget no longer needs a fainting couch. Optional Add-Ons Can Be Cheaper Than Buying Separately Disney offers several Annual Pass add-ons for Water Park and Sports, plus Disney PhotoPass Downloads, each priced at $109 plus tax for the year. The Water Park and Sports Option includes Passholder admission to select experiences such as Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach, Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course, FootGolf, select miniature golf before 4 PM, and ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex on event days. ©Disney A 1-day water park ticket is currently listed at $74 per adult, or $64 for the version with blockout dates. So if you are a Passholder who knows you’ll hit the water parks more than once, the Water Park and Sports add-on can become very interesting very quickly. And in Florida, “water park day” is not a vacation category. It is a survival tactic with slides. Typhoon Lagoon PhotoPass is similar. If you love attraction photos, castle photos, character photos, and those pictures where everyone looks cheerful except one child who is spiritually done, the annual PhotoPass add-on may be worth comparing against what you would otherwise spend on Memory Maker or individual downloads. Park Hopping Is Included Annual Passes include the ability to visit more than one Walt Disney World theme park in a day, subject to rules, blockout dates, reservations, and capacity. Passholders generally need to make a reservation for the first park they plan to visit and enter that park before hopping, unless they are entering on a good-to-go day or after 2 PM under the current rules. It’s a day to celebrate! This is a helpful perk because Park Hopper tickets cost extra for regular ticket holders. With an Annual Pass, hopping is built into the pass. That gives Passholders more flexibility to do the kind of Disney day that makes no sense on paper but feels glorious in practice: coffee at Magic Kingdom, lunch at EPCOT, a quick lap through Hollywood Studios, and then Animal Kingdom because you suddenly need a Night Blossom and the emotional recalibration of the Festival of the Lion King. Don’t overload your schedule with park hopping! This perk is harder to quantify because ticket prices vary by date and length. But for frequent guests who like flexibility, it’s a major part of the pass value. Park Hopping at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks 10. But they do make the Passholder experience feel a little more special, especially for locals and frequent visitors. Let’s do rough math, because this is where the cheeseburger spring roll meets the spreadsheet. Scanning in to the parks We’ll use a simple example and assume a Disney guest would otherwise spend about $150 per park day on admission value. That is an estimate because Disney World ticket prices vary by date, park, ticket length, and add-ons. Then, for guests who drive, we’ll add the current $35 standard parking cost per park day. If you’re buying the Incredi-Pass from out of state, the math is tougher. You likely need multiple trips, a longer trip, or a big hotel discount to make it worthwhile. A Realistic Savings Example Let’s say one person in your group has an Annual Pass and is present for the applicable purchases. Over one year, they: Drive to the parks 8 times: saves $280 in parking. Spend $500 on qualifying merchandise: save up to $100. Use dining discounts on $1,000 in eligible food and nonalcoholic beverage purchases: saves about $100. Book a 4-night hotel stay that qualifies for 30% off a $300-per-night room: saves $360. That is $840 in potential savings before even counting ticket value. Wilderness Lodge in Disney World For a Pixie Dust Pass, that is more than the pass price before tax. For a Pirate Pass, it gets you very close. For a Sorcerer or Incredi-Pass, it takes a meaningful chunk out of the total. And if that hotel discount is larger, say 40% off a $500-per-night room for four nights, that one booking could save around $800 by itself. Again, availability matters. Fine print matters. Dates matter. But the savings can be very real. Who Should Seriously Consider an Annual Pass? An Annual Pass may make sense if you visit Disney World multiple times per year, live close enough for day trips, drive to the parks often, plan to stay at Disney hotels during Passholder discount windows, regularly buy merchandise, eat at table service restaurants where discounts apply, or love park hopping. This bag!@ It can also make sense for families who designate one adult as the Passholder to unlock select discounts, especially if that person will be present for purchases and travel. Just don’t assume one pass magically covers everyone’s admission or benefits. Disney’s rules are not written in pixie dust. They are written in legal ink with tiny little teeth. Who Should Skip It? You may not need an Annual Pass if you only visit once a year, travel during blockout dates that affect the pass you qualify for, never drive to the parks, stay off-site without using hotel discounts, rarely buy merchandise, or prefer discounted multi-day ticket offers. This is especially true when Disney offers limited-time ticket deals, like the 2026 4-Day, 4-Park Magic Ticket starting at $436 plus tax. Drury Plaza Hotel A discounted ticket offer may beat an Annual Pass for a single trip. A Disney World Annual Pass is not cheap. Nothing about this math should make us pretend $489 to $1,629 before tax is pocket change unless your pocket is apparently owned by Scrooge McDuck. But for the right Disney World guest, the Annual Pass can absolutely earn its keep. New Annual Passholder Magnet Free parking can save hundreds. Merchandise discounts can quietly shave money off purchases you were absolutely going to make anyway. Dining discounts help. Room discounts can be huge. Event, tour, recreation, and add-on savings can stack up in ways that make the pass feel a lot less outrageous than it looks at first glance. Annual Passholder pin The key is not asking, “Do I want an Annual Pass?” Of course you do. That’s not math. That’s Disney brain. The better question is, “Will I use the perks enough to make this pass work for me?” If the answer is yes, that little yellow Passholder icon in My Disney Experience may start looking less like a splurge and more like one of the few Disney expenses that actually fights back. This weekend was a very special one in Disney World, because something SUPER neat was happening over at ESPN Wide World of Sports! It’s time for Banana Ball! This spot is where you’ll find numerous massive sporting events happening throughout the year, including, but not limited to, cheerleading competitions, baseball tournaments, and dance events, but unless you’re signed up for them, a lot of people don’t find themselves over in this area of the resort (and that includes us!). However, we got to head over there on May 30th for something that we knew we’d love, but we didn’t expect just HOW much — it was time for Banana Ball! Banana Ball fast-paced, entertainment-focused version of baseball pioneered by the Savannah Bananas — yes, the baseball team that has a blast dancing, singing, and overall having a grand time while playing the game. Their games are a bit different, not only because of the choreographed dance breaks, but also because there might be some new rules, and the games are limited to two hours. This weekend, it came to Disney World for the first time! ©Disney Before the game, we got to attend the event at Pre-Game Plaza, which is a fan area outside the ballpark where players and cast members interact with guests before the game. Our favorite part of the event was Pre Party LIVE, which includes broadcasters, players, cast members, music, dancing, interviews, and surprise appearances before the gates open. If you’re familiar with the Savannah Bananas, this is very similar to “Before the Peel!” The game we got to see was between none other than the Party Animals and the Coconuts, and we knew it was about to be a great game! The crowd was READY! Jesse Cole is the creator of the Savannah Bananas, and this entire movement that’s been created, and during a chat with him, we found out that every morning, he wakes up and reads one of his many Walt Disney books. He uses the choices and decisions Disney made throughout his life as a guiding force in the decisions he makes about his company. After the practice we got to see, he spoke about how the idea of this kind of baseball is to bring people together, and even after just experiencing one game, we 100% saw what he meant. Jesse Cole on the field! We really hope this will become a more common occurrence in Disney World, because we really do feel like it brought so many people together. Usually, you may not think of Disney fans and baseball fans in the same sentence, but a game like this is exactly what combines both of the things they love. You’ve got the fun, eccentric, energetic, and wild energy that IS the Savannah Bananas and its associated teams, but you’ve also got a celebration of baseball, one of the most patriotic games there is, to many of the American population. Weirdness is celebrated and encouraged here, but so is the absolute love of this beloved pastime. If you’re not familiar with the game, or you’ve never felt like you belong in sports before, this is a space where you can safely begin to learn the game without feeling judged, because everyone’s just there for a great time! Party Animals on the field! The Party Animals ended up winning the game 4-1 against the Coconuts, and we had an absolute BLAST. We know that the Banana Bowl, which will be the finale of the first Banana Bowl league, will be airing on Disney+, as well as on Disney’s YouTube, so fans without Disney+ can also watch for free — that was very important to Jesse Cole, as he believes strongly in putting the fans first! We’re already looking forward to that, but we’re really hoping to catch more games happening on Disney World property — you can bet we’ll be there each and every time! Such a fun game! Getting stuck on a roller coaster is many people’s idea of a nightmare, but even people like us, who are in Disney World nearly every day and sometimes find getting stuck on a ride fun and new, may start to freak out in this situation. ©Baynum On Thursday, May 28th, students on a field trip at Pleasure Pier in Galveston, Texas, found themselves stuck on the Iron Shark roller coaster…right at the top of the ride’s 100-foot inversion. According to ABC 13, the Iron Shark, the tallest roller coaster at Pleasure Pier, stopped on the 100-foot inversion hill at 5:21 PM on Thursday, May 28th, with eight school-aged passengers on board. The students were in the theme park as part of a field trip organized by Energized for STEM Academy Middle School and STEM Academy High School. When the ride was unable to be started again, firefighters were notified at 5:37 PM and dispatched to rescue the riders. ©ABC 13 It was later confirmed that the ride stop was due to a sensor failing, which caused a malfunction that was not detectable in advance of the incident. Landry’s Inc., the company that owns the park, confirmed that the ride functioned exactly how it should in a situation like this. In a statement released, they said, “Our focus immediately shifted to the safety of our guests. Therefore, we contacted the Fire Department to assist, ensuring all guests were safely removed from the ride. A thorough inspection of the ride will take place before it is placed back in service.” ©Pleasure Pier The amusement park as a whole was closed during the rescue operation, allowing the Galveston Fire Department’s Tower 1 engine to take up space on the pier and get to the riders. If there’s one thing we can’t get enough of at eet by Maneet Chauhan in Disney Springs, it’s that you never know when a new drink will drop that comes with its own little friend. A new friend from eet! There are now TWO new drinks that just debuted at this popular spot in the shopping and dining district, and yes, there’s ANOTHER little friend that comes included with one of them and we’re just as obsessed as we have been in the past. Both of these drinks are great for summer, and while we’ll admit they weren’t exactly what we were expecting, it ended up being for the better! The first of the new drinks is alcoholic, so it’s only available for those 21+. This is the Cotton Candy Margarita for $13.95. Cotton Candy Margarita For us, even after stirring this one up, we didn’t taste a lot of cotton candy in here, and more just got a blue raspberry flavor. It’s quite sweet and doesn’t burn at all the way we expected it to, but we still do consider it to be pretty refreshing! Just keep in mind that you’ve got to like sweet drinks to enjoy this one. It’s solid, but you’ve gotta like sweet drinks! Then, there’s the Summer Paws available for $7.95, which is a mocktail slushy! Now, an alcoholic version is available for $15.95, and you’re able to add any alcohol you’d like to it. This is a tiger blood slushie, and while we wouldn’t say that flavor profile was totally off, it’s more of a unique cherry slushie, in our opinion. Summer Paws (after melting immediately) This one wasn’t as sweet as we anticipated, but it did melt pretty much IMMEDIATELY. In fact, we think the margarita was sweeter, which isn’t what we were expecting, but we’re not necessarily complaining. This was also refreshing for a hot day, but one of our favorite parts was the little tiger plush that came with it! Hooray for new friends! Both of these drinks are around for the summer season, so if you like the sound of them, we suggest grabbing them sooner rather than later! More Recent Reviews! So Disney has a pretty good relationship with Taylor Swift. Two versions of the Eras Tour are currently available on Disney+, and there’s even an Eras Tour documentary you can watch on the streaming subscription service. So if Disney teamed up with Taylor Swift for something else, we wouldn’t be that surprised, right? ©Taylor Swift Well, not too long ago, a countdown appeared on Taylor Swift’s website with a background that looked an awful lot like something from Toy Story (the clouds). But then that countdown disappeared before it could officially count down anything. Then…crickets. But now…well, Pixar just opened that barrel of monkeys ALL over again by teasing Taylor Swift on its social media accounts. So what does this all mean? Well, Swifties know that our girl, Taylor, never does anything accidentally or without some kind of hint. She’s a “Mastermind” (oops, did it there again) when it comes to teasing fans with big announcements. So, should we guess that this is further proof that Swift will have a song on the Toy Story 5 soundtrack? Well, we don’t know because all we’ve got so far are these teasers. One thing we can say about Disney Springs is that there is a LOT of good eating there. From sit-down restaurants like Wine Bar George and Homecomin‘ to quick service offerings like The Polite Pig and Earl of Sandwich, there is no scarcity of great food and drinks. New Chicken Guy! sandwich alert! Now, we’re also big fans of Guy Fieri’s Chicken Guy!, so when we heard two new menu items had dropped there, we raced to Disney Springs to check them out. We’re talking classic American and Southern flavors, so let’s get to it! We’re going to start with the Southern Smokehouse Crunch, which is a chicken sandwich made with crispy fried tenders with bacon, cheddar cheese, and pimento cheese, drizzled in honey BBQ and finished with pickles for $9.99. This is the classic Chicken Guy! chicken sandwich, but you’ve got that bacon that’s partially chewy and crunchy at the same time. The pimento cheese adds a nice creaminess, along with just a little bit of kick from the pimentos. Southern Smokehouse Crunch The BBQ sauce combines really well with a light sweetness, while the pickles give the sandwich some texture and acidity. However, those chicken tenders are cooked up JUST right because they’re also crunchy on the outside, but tender and juicy on the inside. This one is a WIN, y’all. SO good To keep those Southern home cookin’ vibes going, we also ordered the new Apple Pie Crumble Shake for $7.99. It’s made with vanilla soft serve blended with cinnamon-sugar apples, oatmeal cookie crumble, and a swirl of caramel. First, we loved that the shake wasn’t so thick that we were fighting to suck it down. It was soft and smooth. The cinnamon and apple flavors really come through, and it tastes exactly like an apple pie. Apple Pie Crumble Shake The oatmeal cookie crumble was tasty and added crunch, but we wished it had more of that. The caramel added that bit of caramel apple flavor, so it’s like an apple pie and caramel apple combined. We’ll be grabbing this for as long as it’s available. This one is a win, too! We’d say that these two menu items are enough to make a run to Chicken Guy! if you happen to find yourself in Disney Springs. When packing for a Disney World hotel stay, there are plenty of essentials to remember: Chargers, power strips, toiletries, etc. Pillow Speaker For those who need white noise or even music to sleep, this speaker might just be joining that list. KingLucky Pillow Speaker Pillow Speaker This speaker slips right under your pillow, allowing you to play whatever you like — white noise, podcasts, music, streaming programs — for yourself as you drift off to sleep. Unboxing the speaker It’s ideal for anyone who can’t fall asleep in dead silence but doesn’t want to disturb their roommates or family members, making it absolutely worth the money. From a design standpoint, the buttons were super handy for adjusting volume and skipping forward or backward, and the pillow connected easily to our phone. We simply turned it on, turned on Bluetooth, and voila, it showed right up. Pillow Speaker The only issues we had were that it arguably felt a little cheap in hand (but the quality of sound was really solid), and we noticed there was some slight sound bleed towards the edge of the pillow that can be a bit loud and potentially disturb your roommates depending on the angle. Pillow Speaker To alleviate that issue, we’d definitely recommend playing with the sound settings and placement before bed to make sure the sound levels are adequate for all in the room. The pillow speaker makes a big difference. So, is this speaker essential or simply a fun travel extra? Well, that depends. If you’re simply looking for a fun gadget, it may be the latter. However, if you need to fall asleep to your soothing noise of choice and are traveling with those who need silence, it’s definitely a worthwhile purchase. Overall, we’d give it a 4.5/5. The classic Disneyland ride has spawned four additional rides, five blockbuster movies, and now, a brand-new immersive theater show! ©Disney The immersive theatrical experience will bring the first film of the movie series, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, to life with interactive sets plus live performances, music, and stunts. The audience will become part of the story themselves! “Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: The Immersive Adventure” will sail into London in February 2027 with an initial 10-week run. It will feature cinematic-scale sets, live theatrical performances, stunts, and a live band. The Disney Marching Band If you’ve ever wanted to be a part of creating the magic at Disney, Disney Live Entertainment is currently hiring musicians. They’re looking across all genres, proficient in dozens of instruments, and located in both Anaheim and Orlando. Your Disney dream job could be right around the corner! Disney Live Entertainment is hiring experienced musicians in Orlando for a new show band that will service weddings and other private events at Disney World. They’re looking for a band that can play a variety of styles that include Top 40 Hits, Jazz music, and classic Disney songs as needed. Pianist at the Gazebo in EPCOT Disney is specifically looking for guitarists, electric bassists, acoustic drummers, keyboardists, trumpeters, trombonists, and saxophonists. Vocal ability is a plus, but not required. Alberta Bound at EPCOT Musicians should be comfortable working in theatrical settings, including fog and pyro, with the potential for costumes. Choosing a Disney World hotel can be confusing because there are SO many hotels to choose from with a variety of price points, amenities, and offerings. That can be even harder if you’re traveling with your family…you want a resort that everyone in the family can enjoy, regardless of age. Disney’s Port Orleans – Riverside Well, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — Riverside might just be exactly what you’re looking for because it’s great for families, but the Magnolia Bend section of the resort also recently got brand new rooms. And we’re going to give you a tour of one of those new rooms to show you what it looks like now. The rooms at Magnola Bend at Disney’s Port Orleans — Riverside Resort sleep up to four with two queen beds and now have lots of new details from The Princess and The Frog. We visited one of the new rooms from Cool KIDS’ Summer, so the room was also completely decked out with some special amenities. The beds feature gorgeous murals of the bayou behind them, but we also love the addition of Bluey and Bingo for Cool Kids’ Summer. There’s also a table between the beds with a phone, and a Hey, Disney Alexa Voice Assistant. Murals behind beds You’ll also find artwork and photos on the walls featuring Tiana’s Place, Tiana’s parents… Artwork …Lottie, Tiana and Naveen, and more.
