  1. Calling all Disney Cruise Line fans! We have an exciting update to share. Disney Wish The Oriental Land Company has officially released a statement about their upcoming partnership with Disney Cruise Line — including the first Disney cruise ship coming to Japan! Let’s jump in. With the recent launch of the Disney Adventure in Singapore, Disney Cruise Line has been on everyone’s minds. The Disney Adventure However, this is not the only upcoming overseas expansion we can expect from DCL. In 2024, Disney announced a partnership with the Oriental Land Company to create a new ship with sailings in Japan! The Grand Hall on the Disney Destiny When the initial announcement was made, it looked like sailings could be expected around 2029 and that this ship would be in the Triton-Class as a sister ship to the Disney Wish. However, as of March 24th, the Oriental Land Company has made a release outlining the official creation of the cruise portion of their company called the ORIENTAL LAND CRUISE CO., LTD. Disney Adventure Currently, the Oriental Land Company owns and operates the Tokyo Disney Resort. And most recently, they created the beloved new Fantasy Springs at Tokyo DisneySea. This new ship is the next step in an already fruitful partnership that has existed for over 40 years! Fantasy Springs We already know that this new ship will have all of the theming and immersion to be expected from the Oriental Land Company. Despite the release being fairly limited, it does give us a few more details about the timing of this new venture. While we initially were expecting this new ship sometime in 2029, the release notes that “the Company is working to launch Disney cruise services in the Japanese fiscal year 2028.” Disney Adventure It also notes that the tentative date of establishment for this new subsidiary will be April 3rd and that construction is set to begin in the second half of 2026! It also confirms that the new ship will be based on the existing Disney Wish and that this new venture “will introduce a new type of experience, family entertainment cruises, to the Japanese cruise market.” Disney Wish! We are so excited to see what this brand-new ship has to offer! Make sure to follow along with Disney Food Blog to stay informed of all the Disney Cruise Line updates! 2. We have cake news — and in our world, that’s the biggest news EVER. Chocolate Peanut Butter Crunch Cake The Cake Bake Shop Bakery on Disney’s BoardWalk is home to some of our favorite cakes, and we’re constantly running there to try new flavors every month. Well, there was a cake flavor special to March that we’re thrilled to announce is continuing into April! Say hello to the Chocolate Peanut Butter Crunch Cake! We were obsessed with this in March, and while chatting with an employee at Cake Bake Shop, they alerted us that it would be available in April. Now, they’re not sure how long it will be there, but for now, we’re thrilled at the prospect of more peanut butter crunch. SO much icing (as it should be!) This cake costs $22 a slice and is made with peanut butter buttercream, chocolate ganache, and crunchy chocolate pearls between the layers. The chocolate was rich and sweet, and the ganache came through and melted beautifully with the peanut butter. That peanut butter buttercream had that perfect pack of flavor, and the crunchy pearls added a nice texture. Look at those layers! The cake was moist and thick, and we always love the quality of the Cake Bake Shop cake slices. Of course, it’s topped with edible glitter, which we’re obsessed with. YUM! We’ve had a few other bites lately that you might want to consider, too. We had the Coconut Cream Pie for $12, which is coconut cream custard in a vanilla wafer cookie pie crust and topped with freshly whipped cream and toasted coconut. We enjoyed mixing all the layers together, so we had a bit of graham cracker, coconut flakes, and whipped cream with custard. It wasn’t the fanciest item we’ve ever had here, but it was perfect for the coconut lovers. Coconut Cream Pie We also had the White Chocolate Pearl Latte for $9, which is made with Ghirardelli white chocolate, French vanilla and almond syrups, steamed whole milk, and topped with whipped cream and pearl sprinkles. This was on the simple side of iced coffee, and the French vanilla and coffee flavors came through while the almond and white chocolate were more subtle in the back. It was very pretty and perfect for those Instagram pictures, though. White Chocolate Pearl Latte In the meantime, make sure you keep following Disney Food Blog for more Disney food news! 3. If Disney could apply this incredible bathroom feature to ALL of its parks worldwide, it would be greatly appreciated. Bathrooms Whenever Disney wants to improve its theme park bathrooms, we’re never one to complain. As it turns out, the theme park giant has begun making a significant modification in the bathrooms at the Disneyland Resort, and we have to say — it’s about time! Since Disneyland opened in 1955, more Disney Parks — and their bathrooms — have been popping up all over the world. Over time, modifications and refurbishments have been made in an effort to keep them functioning properly and up-to-date. With that said, there has been one notable feature missing — until now. San Fransokyo painting We visit the Disneyland Parks multiple times a week, and during a recent visit, we noticed that some bathrooms at Disneyland Park NOW HAVE VACANT/OCCUPIED SIGNS over the stalls!!! New bathroom stall sign! Our reporter on-site visited the women’s restrooms at both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, and — as of this writing — the sign was ONLY available on stalls at the following restrooms: Restrooms near Carnation Cafe Adventureland Frontierland New Orleans Square Mickey’s Toontown No other bathrooms at the time of our visit had these signs, and no restaurants at California Adventure had been changed. At least not yet. Restrooms in Lamplight Lounge While there is no official timeline on a full transformation at the park — or any other parks around the world — it’s safe to assume we may see more of these signs that let guests know if a stall is taken without having to awkwardly jostle doors and apologize for disturbing someone using a stall. We’ll be keeping an eye on this development as well as all the latest Disney Parks updates, so keep it posted right here at DFB to stay in the know! 4. Y’all, eating at Universal Studios Hollywood just got SO much easier. Toadstool Cafe at Universal Hollywood Universal has added a $59 food pass, which lets you order from eligible items off the menu with ease. The pass costs $59 plus tax, making it about $65, and you get two eligible entree items and four eligible sides, snacks, desserts, or beverages. You can add this on with your park ticket when you purchase online or buy the pass in person at select restaurants and food locations. ©Universal The Dining Pass is only valid for your selected dates and is excluded from Early Park Admission. The pass can be redeemed at park locations, excluding menu items priced at $25 or higher, alcoholic beverages, Starbucks, Coca-Cola Freestyle, retail stores, merchandise, souvenir items, collectibles, special events and promotions, candies, and Universal CityWalk Hollywood. You can find which menu items are eligible with the Universal Studios Dining Pass logo. ©Universal If you do not redeem all six of your items, the pass will expire, and you won’t be able to rollover or get a partial refund. It’s also not available during Halloween Horror Nights or Universal Fan Events. ©Universal This isn’t the first time that Universal has had a Dining Pass in 2021. We previously used it in Universal Orlando, and there were three options, including the Universal Dining Plan, the Universal Dining Plan — Quick Service, and the Universal Dining Plan — Quick Service + Coca-Cola Freestyle Souvenir Cup. The classic Dining Pass was only available as part of vacation packages, but now it seems that you can add it to any ticket. Inside Toadstool Cafe at Universal Studios Hollywood To give you an idea of the value of the pass, we’re taking a look at Toadstool Cafe in Universal Studios Hollywood. Here’s an example of a meal you could grab: Mario Burger — $19 Princess Peach Cupcake — $10 Fountain Soda — $5 Mario Burger That comes out to $34, about half of the Dining Pass, plus you’d still have one more entree and two sides/drinks/desserts you can grab. Because the choices need to be under $25, it might come close to being the same cost with and without the pass, unless you consistently order more expensive dishes, close to that $25 amount. Keep in mind as well that the $65 includes tax, and our $34 amount doesn’t, so again, it’s close to the amount, and you would just have to be intentional about spending over $65 in value to make this pass worth it. Princess Peach Cupcake You tell us: would you add on the Dining Pass for an extra $65 per person? 7. TSA PreCheck just made getting through airport security even easier, and this update is a big deal for frequent flyers. TSA PreCheck Touchless Identity Solution Starting in Spring 2026, a new Touchless ID feature is rolling out to 65 airports across the country, letting eligible travelers skip the document shuffle entirely. If you’re someone who already loves the PreCheck lanes, here’s everything you need to know before your next trip. What Is TSA PreCheck Touchless ID? TSA PreCheck Touchless ID uses facial comparison technology to verify your identity faster than ever. Instead of pulling out your passport or driver’s license, a quick photo does the work for you. TSA PreCheck Touchless ID The goal is a smoother, more streamlined experience from the moment you hit the security line, and honestly, it sounds like a pretty seamless upgrade for anyone who’s tired of fumbling through their bag at the checkpoint. Who’s Eligible? Not everyone can jump into the Touchless ID lane right away. To participate, you need to be a current TSA PreCheck member, have an active profile with a participating airline, and have a valid passport number uploaded to that profile. MCO TSA Precheck The five airlines currently on board are Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Southwest Airlines, and United Airlines. If you fly one of these carriers regularly, you’re in a good position to take advantage. How Do You Sign Up? The setup process is pretty painless. Head into your airline profile and enter your Known Traveler Number along with your passport details. From there, you’ll select “OPT IN” either through your profile or during airline check-in. Once you’re set up, look for the TSA PreCheck Touchless ID indicator on your mobile boarding pass before heading to the dedicated lane. ©AP One important note: even with Touchless ID, you still need to carry a REAL-ID compliant physical ID with you in case a TSA officer asks for it. Why Bother Using It? Beyond the obvious convenience of not having to dig out your passport, the program is designed to speed things up across the board. TSA lines at MCO The facial comparison tech handles identity verification quickly and accurately, and your biometric data is handled with care. Photos and personal data are deleted within 24 hours of your scheduled flight departure, and images are not used for law enforcement or surveillance purposes. Where Will It Be Available? Here’s the full list of the 65 airports getting TSA PreCheck Touchless ID by Spring 2026: ABQ (Albuquerque, NM) ANC (Anchorage, AK) ATL (Atlanta, GA) AUS (Austin, TX) BDL (Hartford/Windsor Locks, CT) BHM (Birmingham, AL) BNA (Nashville, TN) BOI (Boise, ID) BOS (Boston, MA) BUF (Buffalo, NY) BWI (Baltimore, MD) CHS (Charleston, SC) CLE (Cleveland, OH) CLT (Charlotte, NC) CMH (Columbus, OH) CVG (Cincinnati, OH) DAL (Dallas Love Field, TX) DCA (Washington Reagan, D.C.) 9. A fan-favorite Disney World ride is FINALLY reopening soon! Welcome in! Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin at Magic Kingdom officially reopens on April 8th, but Disney decided to have the ride soft open on March 30th. We’ve got plenty of details about the ride itself here, but a newly reopened ride also means NEW merch! Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin has soft opened, but that still means it can randomly close if needed, but it will officially open on April 8th. We’re happy to report that the store looks very similar to what it was before! This is the store that you’ll exit through after completing the ride. To Infinity and Beyond! Zurg is still in the corner keeping an eye on everything… Zurg! …and while photos usually automatically connect to your account, you’ll want to make sure you grab your photo from the photo wall. You can scan your MagicBand to ensure you can download it later. The was moved during the refurbishment and gives us so much more room to move around the store. Grab your photos! There is also a smashed penny machine! We love smashed pennies! Here’s a closer look at the designs. It’s such a fun and easy souvenir The overall store still has the same aesthetic, which we don’t mind since the store is straight out of our childhoods. So many finds to check out There are three new items that the Cast Members were thrilled to show us. The first one is this awesome RSVLT shirt. RSVLT shirt It has tons of Toy Story friends all over it. Toy Story time! There’s also this shirt that looks very similar to a RSVLT but is Disney’s own brand. We like that you have to get a little closer… Another similar shirt …to see the characters! Rex! We think this baseball jersey is similar to other finds we’ve seen throughout the parks, but we think it would be perfect for an extra layer of sun protection in sunny Florida. Baseball jersey It has a 95 on the back to reference the year that the Toy Story movie came out! Classic! Throughout the store, you’ll also find other Toy Story souvenirs that you might have already spotted throughout the park, especially in Toy Story Land. If you have any Disney World discounts, like Annual Passholders, don’t forget you can usually grab bottles of soda and water from inside stores and use your discount, rather than at outdoor vending, which doesn’t accept discounts. Grab a drink! We’ll be on the lookout for even more Disney World updates you need to know about and beyond. In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more. 6 HUGE HIDDEN SECRETS IN BUZZ LIGHTYEAR’S SPACE RANGER SPIN THAT WE ALMOST MISSED! 10. Come with us to Disneyland Paris! Disneyland Hôtel We were recently invited by Disney to check out the newly named Disney Adventure World and its World of Frozen expansion! During our stay, we stayed at the Disneyland Hôtel, which provides a “5-star royal residence at the entrance to Disneyland Park” with elegant theming and that famous Disney theming. Our stay was extra special thanks to the Frozen theming of our room! Heading into the hotel, you get a sense of the grandiose you’re about to experience. Hotel lobby The hotel itself offers all types of themed rooms, like Princess-inspired offerings with 2 double beds or 1 king, deluxe rooms with access to the Deluxe Lounge (a private reception area with tea/drinks), Castle Club rooms that are located on the top floors with PRIVATE ELEVATORS, lounges, and direct park access, and signature suites that a specialized to certain themes like Frozen, Sleeping Beauty, and Cinderella. So pretty! Let’s talk about our room! We stayed in the Frozen Standard Room with Double Queen Beds, and we’re taking you on a tour! Frozen room This standard room includes two beds and tons of amenities you’d expect to find in a nice hotel — closet space, a desk, plenty of mirrors, and some nice freebies. A closer look at the beds At the foot of each bed, you’ll notice makeshift benches that are put together by two chairs, adding even more seating to this room. However, it’s impossible to ignore the main seating area — a couch surrounded by drawers, a minifridge, the TV, and more (peep that adorable storage box!). Entertainment area The fridge comes with COMPLIMENTARY snacks and drinks, but restocking comes with an additional charge. Minifridge Additionally, the coffee setup here is “incroyable” and even includes free coffee caps. There’s even a coffee drawer with everything you’ll need to brew up some coffee, as well cups and silverware! Look at that setup! As for outlets, there is USB compatibility, but you should also be aware that you’ll need the proper converters (if you’re traveling internationally) if you want to plug anything else in. Outlets The bathroom is fairly compact, with a large mirror and a movable vanity, as well as a small tub with an overhead showerhead and a smaller one, as well. The bathroom also includes two sinks and the usual Disney products like body wash, hand soap, and shampoo, as well as two sinks. All of your basic needs will be met, and there’s nothing out of the ordinary here except… Bathroom …the really cool designs in the mirror! You can even spot Dopey from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs! Dopey! Of course, since it’s Frozen-themed, there’s a lot of nods to the franchise, including the wall art. Frozen picture You may also get a pretty decent view from your room! We literally looked out to Main Street!! 11. It’s HAPPENING! The newly refurbished Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin has soft opened at Magic Kingdom. It’s OPEN! We got the chance to check out this new ride as part of a media event and Cast Member previews, but now it looks like Disney has decided to open the ride a bit earlier than the official April 8th reopening date! Here’s everything we know about this soft opening. Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin has soft opened at Magic Kingdom! The ride will officially be open for new Space Cadets on April 8th, but for now, Disney is allowing guests to experience the attraction ahead of that date. We headed to Magic Kingdom to see how things were going, and we also got a glimpse at the new marquee! NEW sign Since the ride is still in a soft opening phase, it may not be fully open until April 8th, so your best bet is to check the Disney World app daily to see if it’s an option before you make a special trip to the park just for Buzz. When we stopped by, the wait was around 30 minutes, but of course, that can change at any moment — especially once people start finding out about the soft opening! 30-minute wait There were quite a few problems with the ride going down intermittently during the first couple of days of Cast Member previews, so keep in mind that Disney is likely still working out some of the kinks, and the ride is subject to closing at any time during the soft opening phase. Line for Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin soft opening One of the biggest (and most celebrated) changes to the new version of Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin is the replacement of the original, fixed blasters with new ones that can be picked up and aimed in any direction. Previously, you had to fully spin your ride vehicle to aim your blaster at the targets, but now, you can pick up your blaster and point it where you want it to go. This is an extremely welcome change, and we’re not the only ones who think so. Soft opening preview sign We had an absolute BLAST on this ride when we checked it out (pun intended!), and we can’t wait to hear what people think of it throughout this soft opening phase and the ride’s official opening on April 8th. We’ll be here on opening day to report on the crowds and any other details. For more Disney World news, subscribe to our newsletter and our YouTube channel. 12. When it comes to dining at Disney World, you’ve got a TON of options. Want something quick and easy? You’ve got it. Something middle-of-the-road and comforting? Yep, that too. And if you’re looking for something upscale and luxurious, you can find that as well. Garden House We recently stopped by Garden House in EPCOT’s Japan Pavilion to try some NEW drinks, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. Are they worth a stop on your next trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth? Find out here! We stopped by Garden House in EPCOT’s Japan Pavilion to try two new drinks! The Kirin Hyoketsu Vodka Sodas are $7.99 each and come in multiple flavors, but we tried the Pineapple and Strawberry. These can also be found at Katsura Grill and inside the Mitsukoshi store, but at Mitsukoshi, they’re considered souvenirs and are not to be consumed in the parks — they’ll put a sticker over the opening warning not to break the seal until you’re out of the park. NEW Hyoketsu drinks at EPCOT This was fantastic! It had a light strawberry flavor that wasn’t too artificial tasting. We appreciated that it was served in a cup with ice so that it stayed cold longer — though our ice did melt relatively quickly in the Florida heat. It’s definitely on the sweeter side, but not overly so. There isn’t much tartness, and we noticed that it wasn’t quite as carbonated as other vodka seltzers we’ve had in the past. This one was our favorite flavor of the two! We’d still probably opt for the Violet Sake over this, but it was a nice change of pace. Hyoketsu Strawberry We didn’t love the pineapple as much as the strawberry flavor, but it was still good! The flavor was a lot more subtle, and the carbonation wasn’t as strong as what you’d find in a typical American vodka soda canned seltzer. It was refreshing, though, and we could see this being a new go-to drink for folks looking to whet their whistle on a hot day. It wasn’t too sweet or too tart, just a nice, subtle pineapple flavor. The alcohol taste wasn’t too strong, either, but it was definitely present. Hyoketsu Pineapple In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more snack and drink updates from Disney World and beyond. 13. When it comes to food in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we’ll be the first to admit that if you’re looking for fine dining or something fancy, it may not be the best park. The Clawwww! Lunch Box Tart However, when it comes to unique, fun snacks, this park has no shortage! One of our favorite spots to grab a treat you can only find in this park is none other than Woody’s Lunch Box in Toy Story Land. While you can find numerous options here, one of our favorites is the Lunch Box Tarts, and we just got word that one of the cutest ones is returning soon! Disney has just revealed that The Clawwww! Lunch Box Tart will return to Woody’s Lunch Box beginning on April 1st! This treat is a Key Lime curd-filled pastry topped with marshmallow fondant, sugar candy, blue sprinkles, and purple crispy pearls. Inside the Lunch Box Tart Now, when we tried this last year, we’ll admit that we didn’t get much of that tart flavor you often get from key lime treats. It was instead VERY sweet, and we mostly tasted the fondant, the sugar from the key lime curd, and the pastry itself. That’s great if you’re not big into key lime flavor but want to grab this adorable treat, but if you are looking for some strong flavor, you may be a little let down. We do feel the ratio of filling was off in ours, but we’re hoping that’s an issue that’s been fixed this time around! Woody’s Lunch Box If you’re not a fan of key lime, you can also try the Raspberry Lunch Box Tart for $5.29, which is on the menu every day. This is Raspberry Marmalade-stuffed Pastry coated in a Strawberry Fondant and Crispy Pearls. We could have used a little more filling in this one, too, but overall, it’s pretty darn solid, especially if you enjoy the fruit flavors. Raspberry Lunch Box Tart Disney often trades out the seasonal Lunch Box Tart, so while you’ll usually always find one constant flavor on the menu, the seasonal one changes, and we look forward to seeing what’s new when the time of year changes. 19. If you’re familiar with Banana Ball, you may know him by his trademark red cape and swaggering No. 2 jersey in right field. Yet beyond the on-field flair, positive attitude, and larger-than-life aura in the heart of the Savannah Bananas lineup, Reese Alexiades’ passion for Disney runs deep. Evolving alongside his own journey in baseball, Disney has been a consistent force in Reese’s life. From countless childhood visits to Disneyland to memorable moments at the studio lot next to his dad, a longtime veteran of The Walt Disney Company, Reese has been surrounded by the creative spirit of Disney from an early age. Do you follow the chaotic fun of the Bananas from afar, or were you able to attend last week’s matchups between the Bananas and Clowns at Angel Stadium? Following the fun from Savannah Bananas Day at Disneyland last Thursday, read on to learn how Reese’s lifelong connection to baseball, family, and Disney has helped shape his story, on and off the diamond. Disney Runs in the Family You could say Reese’s love for Disney started right at the beginning. Reese’s father is John Alexiades, a 32-year cast member at The Walt Disney Company who currently serves as the vice president of production finance at Walt Disney Studios. His long career with Disney helped set the stage for Reese’s childhood to be filled with lasting memories at Disneyland, starting with visits to the parks at a very young age. Born in July 1997, Reese visited Disneyland when he was just three weeks old, marking the start of what would become a lifelong connection to the parks. Long before routine visits to Disneyland Resort – and even longer before the idea of becoming a member of the Savannah Bananas was in the picture – trips to the Walt Disney Studios lot in Burbank left an early impression. “Before Disneyland, going to the studio in Burbank was always the coolest thing ever,” Reese said. “It made me want to work in movies when I was older. So that came from my dad and him working at the studios, and that was always so cool.” As Reese grew up, baseball and Disney worked side-by-side as steady staples of his childhood, woven into everyday life with friends, family members, and teammates. “Disney has just been such a big part of our lives and especially during my childhood,” he said. “It’s been such a routine for us to go.” Sometimes, this meant planned weekend trips to the parks. Other times, it meant a spontaneous visit between local baseball games, when his dad would float the idea of heading to Disneyland to squeeze in a few rides and a nice dinner together. A Disney-Infused Childhood Rooted in Southern California Reese grew up in Manhattan Beach, California, meaning Disneyland Resort was always just a short drive down the freeway. While youth baseball games filled a lot of his schedule and free weekends were not always easy to come by, Reese reflected fondly on how fortunate he felt during those Disneyland trips with his dad. This year’s Savannah Bananas Day at Disneyland Resort on March 26 served as somewhat of a homecoming for the Bananas’ high-flying outfielder, with family members and friends attending both Banana Day at Disneyland and the games nearby. As the Bananas prepared for Savannah Bananas Day at Disneyland Resort and their two battles against the Indianapolis Clowns at Angel Stadium, Reese shared what it was like to see familiar faces across Anaheim during last year’s outings and how he felt this year. “I’ll get messages like ‘I’m coming’ and ‘I’ll see you there,’” said Reese. “Even old players I’ve coached in the past – those kids will be there as well. It’s very cool,” said Reese. While two games took place at the ballpark last Friday and Saturday night, Savannah Bananas Day at Disneyland officially kicked off the Orange County fun on Thursday. Reese mentioned that he looked forward to even more opportunities to interact with Banana fans this time around, with an assortment of entertainment lined up for fans at this year’s celebration. For the Manhattan Beach native, it was the type of full-circle moment that only feels possible when Disneyland has been in your backyard throughout your life, making it easy for Reese to round the bases back to where it all began in sunny Southern California. Disney Favorites from Over the Years Disney fans love to hear about favorite moments across the parks, and a resident expert like Reese was the perfect person to step up to the plate with some insight of his own. Reese shared how much fun it is to experience attractions at Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park with a full group of teammates and friends, citing Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!, and Mad Tea Party as standout choices. But true to form, the drive of the slugging right fielder kicked in. Reese’s competitive edge and willingness to put on a show wasn’t far behind, as he mentioned another fan-favorite attraction that he loves going on when a little friendly rivalry gets in the mix. “Now if we want to get competitive? You’ve got Toy Story [Midway Mania!],” Reese said. “That’s a good one because then you get a little bit of bragging rights. But you know, I’ve got some experience, so I don’t know if they want to face me.” With the excitement of March basketball tournaments dominating the sports world right now, Reese was also asked to name his top four favorite attractions at Disneyland Resort from over the years. His thrill-seeking answers certainly didn’t disappoint. “Between both parks, we’re going Space Mountain. We are going Guardians [of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!]. We are going Incredicoaster, and we’re going [Star Wars:] Rise of the Resistance,” said Reese. With years of park visits under his baseball belt, Reese’s Disney knowledge runs as deep as a 450-foot homer sent to the stands. Take a look below at a few additional fandom questions that we asked him to weigh in on! Rapid Fire Questions with Reese Who is the one Disney character who embodies your style of play on the field? Will Turner from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise! Favorite Disneyland food? Churro. Favorite Disney movie? Monsters, Inc. You can add one Super Hero to the Bananas’ roster: who are you choosing? Captain America – his athletic abilities and his heart stand out. Savannah Bananas Day at Disneyland – A Special Day on the Calendar For someone who has eaten nearly every iconic snack and been on nearly every ride at Disneyland over the years, the Bananas’ 2025 event at Disneyland opened the door to a new experience at the resort. That shift came into focus during the first Savannah Bananas Day at Disneyland last year. In between rehearsing a fun dance number set to Hey Baby, sampling several banana-themed treats, and participating in a cavalcade down Main Street, U.S.A., the whole Savannah Bananas bunch displayed endless enthusiasm during the day, greeting passionate fans traveling from around the world and sharing meaningful moments with them throughout the day. “Disney Day was probably my favorite day of the year,” Reese said. “I’ve been probably 100 times, but I got to do things for the first time, like being a part of the cavalcade. It was really cool to be able to experience that.” This year, the Bananas took the mound and jolted the energy to the next level. With a merchandise pop-up at Downtown Disney District, a new performance at the “World of Color” viewing area in Disney California Adventure park, and the opportunity for some fans to meet select Savannah Bananas and Indianapolis Clowns players, the joyful celebration marked a resort-wide experience fueled by fandom, connection, and the trademark sense of joy we’ve come to know and love from the Bananas. For Reese, baseball and Disney have become two worlds that keep meeting in meaningful ways, from childhoods visits with his dad to present-day moments with fans over the last two years at Savannah Bananas Day at Disneyland. Like a batter securing the game-tying home run in the bottom of the 9th inning, it’s a clutch reminder that even after countless visits to the parks, there are still new moments waiting to be created across Disney parks in the on-deck circle. 21. One of the best parts of Disney World isn’t the theme parks, it’s the resorts! Resort Hopping is an entirely different side of Disney that can lead you to some amazing shopping, delicious dining, exceptional entertainment, and more. Disney Springs While you can’t park at most Disney hotels without a hotel or dining reservation, there are ways around that. One of the easiest ways is to park at Disney Springs, hop on a free bus, and enjoy your day, but that isn’t the case anymore. For a limited time, it just got harder to resort hop in Disney World. During a recent stop by Disney’s shopping and dining district, we stopped by the bus station to head to a resort, but no such luck! We were able to confirm that you can no longer go from Disney Springs to any resort you want to. Now, you need to have a reservation to hop on board. Disney Springs Bus Station At each bus station, there was a guest relations Cast Member stationed so they could check to see if you have a confirmed reservation before hopping on the bus and heading to the resort. We spoke to a Cast Member who confirmed that it’s restricted to hotel reservations, dining reservations, recreation activities, or any general business at the resort besides leisure. The guest relations cast member. Luckily, they also confirmed this won’t last forever! Cast Members confirmed the change is just for this week, which they called their ‘busy season’ for spring break. They did warn us that there are talks of an extension on this change, but for now, it is only around until next week. (That’s roughly April 6th, although they did not confirm an official end date.) Disney Bus If you still want to resort hop, you can park at the theme parks and hop on transportation from there, but you will have to pay for theme park parking. If you really want to check out a specific resort, we would recommend grabbing a dining reservation and parking there before exploring and dining to your heart’s content. Bus at Disney’s Beach Club Resort If you’re only going to the theme parks, you might be missing out on some of the best parts of Disney World. We’re seriously glad this change isn’t permanent! 24. There are quite a few options for when it comes to getting from the Orlando Airport to your Disney World hotel, but Mears Connect is one of the most popular. Mears Connect This airport shuttle service replaced Disney’s Magical Express, and while we’ve often found it to be a relatively affordable and convenient option for getting to Disney World hotels, there’s an update you need to know about. A fuel surcharge has been added to the cost of using Mears Connect. Here’s what we know. A 3% fuel surcharge is being added to all Mears Connect reservations until further notice, according to an alert at the top of the Mears Connect website. ©Mears While no official reason has been revealed, the addition of this fuel surcharge is likely due to the rising cost of gas prices in the United States, caused by the current conflict with Iran. The 3% fuel surcharge will be added to reservations when booking on the Mears Connect website. As of now, this charge will be added for the foreseeable future, likely until gas prices come back down. Inside a Mears Connect bus While 3% might not sound like a lot, even small price increases can really add up when it comes to planning your Disney World vacation.
