Our next festival stop doesn’t have ANY food. So why go there at all? For the DRINKS, of course! Refreshment Outpost It’s officially time for the 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Arts! We’re checking out all of the food studios with tasty items, the shows and artistic performances, the souvenirs (of course), and the art-inspired food stroll. It’s a lot, but don’t let it overwhelm you — we’ve got you covered with everything you need to know. Let’s go check out the Refreshment Outpost to see what special festival items they’ve got this year! Refreshment Outpost is around year-round in EPCOT, but it usually has a few special festival items during these events. Menu Over at the Refreshment Outpost, you won’t find ANY food — it’s just drinks this year! Refreshment Outpost Menu Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the drinks themselves! Drinks We grabbed the Parish Brewing Co. Blueberry Mochi Berliner Weisse first. This costs $12. This may be the sweetest beer we’ve ever had in our lives. It’s like drinking dessert. There was a hint of tartness from the berry, but SO much sugary sweetness of mochi. If you’re a regular beer drinker, you might want to skip. However, if you’re someone who doesn’t necessarily like beer, this might be right up your alley. Parish Brewing Co. Blueberry Mochi Berliner Weisse The final drink is the Brewery Ommegang Neon Rainbows IPA. You can grab it for $12. Now, we loved this beer. It wasn’t as aggressively flavored as some IPA beers. It has the acidity and hoppiness that you would expect, but there’s no aftertaste. This one is a great option for someone who’s just getting into beer and wants to drink more IPAs. Brewery Ommegang Neon Rainbows IPA You can also get The Tank Brewing Co. Street Art Amber for $12. OVERALL We wouldn’t necessarily make our way over to Refreshment Outpost if we weren’t anywhere near it for these beers, and we don’t think we’d try the Blueberry Mochi Berliner Weisse again because it’s too sweet for us. But if you’re thirsty and you’re around Refreshment Outpost, it couldn’t hurt to give these beers a try. Both beers That’s it for this booth, but there’s a LOT more where that came from! It’s a new year, and that means it’s time for new foods, merchandise, and entertainment from the EPCOT’s International Festival of the Arts! We’ve been eating and drinking our way around EPCOT and checking out all the best (and worst) foods this year! Connections Eatery The 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Arts has officially begun, and it has a LOT to offer. There are plenty of food studios with tasty items, shows and artistic performances to watch, souvenirs to grab (of course), and even an art-inspired food stroll to complete. But don’t let it overwhelm you — we’ve got you covered with everything you need to know. And now we’re heading to one spot in particular — the Connections Cafe & Eatery — to give you the FULL scoop! Is the festival offering here worth a try? Let’s find out! That’s everything at the Connections Cafe & Eatery, so what did we think? OVERALL Is Connections a “must do”? Well, it does have the one drink, and if you are in the market for a fruity adult beverage, this one might fit the bill for you. But overall, we have to say we’re a little disappointed that Connections didn’t have more to offer. We loved the adorable (and photogenic) Liege Waffle from past festivals, and the fact that the special beverage isn’t new, but a repeat from last year shows a bit of a lack of creativity. Still, if you’ve just gotten off of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and need a little sugary pop of booze, this option will satisfy you. But let’s just say we wouldn’t make a special trek to Connections just for this. That’s it for this booth, but there’s a LOT more where that came from! Click here to see FULL reviews of EVERY. Are you ready? Are you excited? Another festival has kicked off in EPCOT! 2024 Booth The 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Arts runs until February 19th and it has a LOT to offer. Along with the fantastic entertainment, scavenger hunts, and food crawl, you know we’re trying out the food at EVERY single booth. Now it’s time to visit Goshiki near the Japan pavilion to see what they are up to this festival! Menu At the Goshiki booth, you’ll find several food and drink options inspired by Japanese cuisine. The iconic Sushi Donut has returned, but there is new food and new drinks to check out this year. 2024 Menu Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself! Eats Before we get into some returning eats, let’s start with the new Wagyu Bun! For $9.75, pick up the dish made with a steamed bun filled with American wagyu beef served with green shiso sauce. Wagyu Bun The bun was absolutely delicious with nice, tender meat and a very soft bao. If you’re a fan of cheeseburger pods, you DEFINITELY need to try this, and even if you’re not…you might like this better! Our reporter who tried this actually said she likes it MORE than the cheeseburger pods from Satu’li Canteen. Wagyu Bun It’s time, y’all. The Sushi Donut is BACK! It’s a donut-shaped sushi featuring salmon, tuna, shrimp, cucumber, and sesame seed over a decorated plate of wasabi aïoli, sriracha aïoli, and eel sauce for $8.75. In the past, we’ve noticed that it tastes very fresh and it’s typically a super popular item at this festival. So how was it in 2024? Sushi Donut This one is always a classic! Fresh and refreshing, with a good amount of sticky rice. Our one issue was that we think this needs more sauce because the ratio of sauce to sushi was a little off. But that fish? Man it just melts in your mouth. Sushi Donut The last item is something we’re a little less excited about…it’s the Ichigo Mochi – Daifuku. It’s Daifuku mochi filled with fresh strawberry, sweet azuki bean paste, and white chocolate served with strawberry cream for $6.75. Last year, although the flavors were good, the mochi was doughy and chewy. Did it turn out better this year? Ichigo Mochi – Daifuku If you’re not a mochi fan, you’re definitely not going to enjoy this. And honestly? It wasn’t exactly our favorite thing we had today. It was very doughy and the flavors of strawberry and bean paste didn’t redeem it either. Inside the Mochi But what about the drinks? Drinks There’s a new drink on the menu this year! It’s called the Murasaki Blueberry Drink and it’s made with sweet blueberry and cream for $6.75. You can also get it spiked with alcohol for $8.50. This was incredibly sweet and you definitely need to stir it every few minutes or else it’ll separate. Similar vibes to a blended smoothie. Murasaki Blueberry Drink Moving on with the drink menu, the Masu Sake in a traditional personalized wooden cup is back this year! This is a super fun take-home from the festival and it comes with sake to sip on. The best part? It can be personalized with whatever you want! Grab it at the festival this year for $14.50. Masu Sake in a Personalized Wooden Cup You can also grab the Mikan Orange IPA for $5.50 for 6oz. How does Goshiki stand this year? OVERALL In the end, Japan is still a pretty solid go-to spot for eats. We LOVED the bao bun and the sushi donut is a Festival of the Arts staple. The dessert still isn’t quite a winner for us, but sometimes people just want to go to Goshiki for the sake…and that’s totally okay too! Full spread at Goshiki Thanks for tagging along with us at Goshiki! Stay tuned to DFB for more reviews from the Festival of the Arts and all the festival shenanigans! We’re going to ask you a question, but we already know what your answer will be. Do you like FREE prizes for eating food in EPCOT? Who wouldn’t?! Well, throughout EPCOT’s seasonal festivals, Disney introduces new scavenger hunts and experiences designed to get more food in our bellies and more prizes in our suitcases. Now that the 2024 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts is HERE, we’re back for a NEW stroll around the park. Let’s eat! 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Arts The 2024 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts has officially started! The event will run through February 19th, 2024, so make sure to stop by before it ends. There are TONS of food booths to explore and new snacks to try, but there’s also a way to win a PRIZE just for snacking around the world! The Rules The Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine is like a mini bucket list of snacks and treats to try during the EPCOT Festival of the Arts. Inside your EPCOT festival passport, you’ll find a list of dishes that are part of the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine, and you must purchase five of the qualifying menu items to get a free prize. Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine Don’t forget to grab a festival passport stamp at each location — you’ll need five stamps to redeem your prize at the end. After you’ve collected all your stamps and tried all the tasty treats, bring your completed passport to the Deco Delights Food Studio! A Cast Member will then hook you up with a FREE prize! Yeehaw! Deco Delights The good news is that there’s no time limit on the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine; as long as you complete it before the festival ends, Cast Members will give you a prize. Let’s get into the details of the dishes and the prize now. The Dishes Here’s a full list of the dishes that qualify for the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine: Pop Eats: Tomato Soup with Grilled Cheese ($5.75) Tomato Soup with Grilled Cheese Pop Eats: Tomato Soup with Pimento Cheese, Bacon and Fried Green Tomato Grilled Cheese ($6.50) Tomato Soup with pimento cheese, bacon, and fried green tomato grilled cheese Vibrante & Vívido: Chorizo and Potato Empanada with Turmeric Aïoli and Annatto Aïoli ($6.75) Chorizo and Potato Empanada Gourmet Landscapes: Verjus-Roasted Beets with Goat Cheese, Petite Lettuce, Blackberry Gastrique and Spiced Pecans ($5.50) Verjus-roasted Beets with goat cheese, petite lettuce, blackberry gastrique, and spiced pecans The Deconstructed Dish: Deconstructed Key Lime Pie ($6.50) Deconstructed Key Lime Pie: Flexible Key Lime Curd, “Key Lime” Mousse, Graham Cracker Cake, and Meringues Deco Delights: Neapolitan Dessert Trio ($5.50) Neapolitan Dessert Trio Figment’s Inspiration Station: Blueberry-Filled Pastry Tart with Purple Icing ($4.75) Blueberry-filled Pastry Tart with purple icing Don’t forget that you don’t need to get ALL of these items. Instead, you only need five of the seven to qualify for a FREE prize! The Prize When you’re ready, head to Deco Delights to get your prize — this year, you get a Paint Palette Cookie and a Mixed Berry Smoothie in a souvenir cup! Completer Items This cookie is actually…not good. The cookie itself is kind of flavorless, and the decorations on top are pretty much just sugar. Out of everything we ate for the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine, this might’ve been the worst thing we had. The Mixed Berry Smoothie is pretty sweet and definitely fruity. Is It Worth It? Overall, you’ll spend between $26 and $31 to complete this challenge. Whether the completer prize is worth that cost…yeah, not really. If you were planning to get five of these seven treats anyway, then it would totally be worth it because, hey, it’s just a free treat at that point! It’s a fun little challenge that allows you to visit several EPCOT locations. Cookie But the cookie and smoothie aren’t really actual motivators, you know? They’re just not super amazing. Smoothie Overall, the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine can be a fun way to experience the Festival — give it a try if you’re looking for something NEW to do! The 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Arts is the Disney festival that lets you create the magic! EPCOT Festival of the Arts There is so much going on at the winter festival. You can see artists creating murals, and food becomes your canvas. But there’s another form of art that has all of us getting creative! Disney has brought us the art of photography! At several spots around EPCOT, you can enjoy the creativity behind a camera. There are several PhotoPass locations where you can become part of the art. This year brings some NEW photo ops to the festival, including a Wish photo op with Valentino and the Star. This one is located on the Bridge to World Showcase. ‘Wish’ photo op A sign nearby tells us all about Wish, including the kind of animation techniques that were used in the movie. All About ‘Wish’ There’s also a fun new Mary Poppins-themed photo op with the waiter penguins (we LOVE those guys). You can find it in the Italy Pavilion Courtyard. ‘Mary Poppins’ photo op This photo op also has some details about the movie and about how special the character of Mary Poppins really is. Details about Mary Poppins Sleeping Beauty is an ICONIC Disney classic, and you can celebrate it with this new photo op. Look at how pretty that background is. This photo op is on the Bridge to World Showcase. ‘Sleeping Beauty’ Photo Op This one also comes with a sign where you can learn a little more about the movie. Let’s learn about ‘Sleeping Beauty’ Now, these aren’t the ONLY photo ops you’ll find at the festival. There are also a few with our favorite purple dragon Figment, as well as some super fun photo ops where you can literally jump into some of the most famous works of art. Here’s where you can find them: International Gateway: Luncheon of the Boating Party – Pierre-Auguste Renoir The American Adventure: Washington Crossing the Delaware – Emanuel Leutze Between Italy Pavilion and Germany Pavilion: Mona Lisa – Leonardo da Vinci Between Italy Pavilion and Germany Pavilion: The Scream – Edvard Munch Mexico Pavilion: An Homage to Frida Kahlo Washington Crossing the Delaware photo opp Getting to become part of the magic and art is one of our favorite things about this EPCOT festival. These action-packed photo ops add another cool interactive element to your experience. Don’t miss out on stopping by them to make your own art! PhotoPass photographers will be on hand to help you capture those memories! For more Disney news, keep following DFB! Welcome to the 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Arts! We could use a little refreshment after all the shopping, painting, and walking we’ve been doing lately. Refreshment Port The 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Arts has officially begun, and there is so much to see and do. There are tons of food booths with exciting menu items, shows and artistic performances to watch, souvenirs, and even an art-inspired food stroll to complete. But don’t let it overwhelm you — we’ve got you covered with everything you need to know. And now we’re heading to one spot in particular — the Refreshment Port — to give you the FULL scoop! Is it worth a try? Let’s find out! Time for a cookie! The Artist Palette Jumbo Chocolate Chip Cookie is another CLASSIC Festival of the Arts menu item, and you can try it for $5.50. Artist Palette Jumbo Chocolate Chip Cookie This was an ooey gooey cookie that we thoroughly enjoyed! It’s a yummy chocolate chip cookie with the fun artistic twist of getting to paint your dessert. You or the kids can use your paintbrush to make your own design before enjoying you tasty cookie. It’s a soft chocolate chip cookie! Drinks In terms of drinks at this booth, we got the returning Blood Orange Cosmo, made with Boyd & Blair Potato Vodka with blood orange, cranberry, and lime. You can try it for $12. All cocktails at the Refreshment Port are all premade in a mixer at the back of the booth. Because of this, we noticed this drink was very juice heavy. We didn’t taste any vodka in our cosmo. Blood orange is certainly the forward flavor with cranberry and lime giving off hints at the back end. It was ok, but not our favorite drink of the festival. Blood Orange Cosmo The Refreshment Port is also service the Boulevard Brewing Co. Quirk Blueberry Lemon & Lavender Hard Seltzer. This is another returning menu item. You can try this seltzer for $12. OVERALL Just because it is what it is, we will continue to come to this booth. However, it was a bit of a let down this year. Poutine fans will probably enjoy the Gnocchi Poutine or the Traditional Poutine here and if you don’t like a strong liquor taste in your drinks, the cocktail could be great for you! Has anyone seen a purple dragon around here? Figment! The 2024 Festival of the Arts has officially begun and we’re taking you with us to see it ALL. We’re bringing you a look at all of the amazing art you’ll be able to check out at the festival, a peek at the mouth-watering food, and all of the festival merchandise. But now, we’re on a very important mission to find a particular imaginary, purple dragon! Figment’s Brush with the Masters scavenger hunt is BACK for the 2024 Festival of the Arts! This scavenger hunt is similar to Olaf’s Holiday Tradition Expedition during the Festival of the Holidays and Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak Scavenger Hunt during the Food and Wine Festival — but this one is all about our favorite purple dragon! Hey, Figment! To start, you’ll need to buy your map for $9.99 plus tax at Creations Shop, Port of Entry, or World Traveler. Then, it’s time to make your way around the world showcase, looking for hidden Figments inside different works of art! Scavenger Hunt Map After you find one, mark it with the sticker corresponding to the right pavilion on your map. We won’t ruin the surprise of where he’s hiding in each booth, but we will warn you that you’ve got to look carefully in some pavilions to find him! Stickers Once you’ve found them all and have completed the map — head to Disney Traders or World Traveler for your FIGMENT PRIZE! This year’s prize is a little “Paint Your Own Figurine” set! You can get Figment… Figment Scavenger Hunt Prize …or Mickey! The PRIZE We love this fun, little scavenger hunt! It’s a great way to add a little something extra to your festival experience. We’re grabbing some food in EPCOT — want any? Sorry, we haven’t mastered the art of smell-o-vision technology yet, but we’ll do our best to share our HONEST thoughts on all the foods and drinks we’re trying during the 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Arts. Deal? The Painted Panda That’s right — the 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Arts has officially STARTED, and there’s a LOT to see and do. There are tons of food studios with delicious treats, live shows and performances to watch, souvenirs to buy (of course), and even an art-inspired food stroll to complete. There’s a lot going on this year, which is why we’re here to help with everything you need to know. Now we’re heading to one popular spot — The Painted Panda — to give you the FULL scoop! Is it worth a try? Let’s find out! Menu Over at The Painted Panda booth, you’ll find a variety of available items. There are some returning classics, like the General Tso’s Chicken Shumai and the Char Siu Pork Bun, along with a NEW menu item called Sesame Balls with red bean paste. There are a few new and updated drinks this year as well, like the Black and White Bubble Tea and the Silk River Hard Lemonade. Note that some drinks, like Butterfly Blue, have a new name, but the bones of the drink remain the same. The Painted Panda Menu Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself! Eats First up, we grabbed the returning General Tso’s Chicken Shumai, available for $10.75. Last year, we seriously enjoyed this dish. The chili glaze had a bit of a kick, the pickled cucumbers were crisp and crunchy, and there was a good amount of chicken inside. So, how does this year’s version stack up? General Tso’s Chicken Shumai Hands down, this is the prettiest dish at this booth. And it is also the tastiest. The texture of them is just right — they are well-cooked without being too firm, but despite the sauce and toppings, they weren’t mushy or floppy, either. The sauce they are served with is sweet and adds a night nice contrast to the savory filling inside. The chicken filling inside the dumplings is slightly spicy, so keep that in mind if you try to avoid spices. General Tso’s Chicken Shumai Although there is a slight spice here, we wouldn’t go as far as calling this dish “spicy.” In fact, we found that there was just enough heat to add a little flavor. These dumplings are served on a thin slice of cucumber, and that adds a nice crunch and contrast to the tender dumplings. It also adds a fresh taste that we enjoyed. YUM! Moving on! Time to talk about the Char Siu Pork Bun, which is another returning menu item — and we had high hopes for this guy! You can get this dish for $8.50. Char Siu Pork Bun This was very tasty! The sauce here is a sweet and sour type sauce, which contrasted nicely against the pork. The pork has a nice chew and a very smoky, savory flavor. The bao bun tasted fresh, soft, and pillowy — just how we like our bao buns. The cabbage on top is nice, though we actually would’ve preferred a little more cabbage to add some freshness and crunch to this dish. Char Siu Pork Bun Now, let’s talk about the NEW Sesame Balls with red bean paste for $7.25. Although the sauce on the plate has the bright red color of a fake strawberry sauce, the taste is pretty authentic. Sesame Balls with red bean paste The texture of these is chewy, maybe even a little gummy, which could be offputting to some. As you can see, they are entirely coated in sesame, and the sesame is (unsurprisingly) a prominent flavor in this dish — probably more prominent than anything else. Sesame Balls with red bean paste If you don’t like that strong sesame flavor, you’re not gonna like these; otherwise, this is rather bland, and we can see people walking away a little disappointed or indifferent at best. Drinks In terms of drinks at this booth, we got the NEW Black and White Bubble Tea with black tea, milk, chocolate, and black & white boba pearls. It’s available for $8.75. Black and White Bubble Tea This one wins the prize for the CUTEST drink at The Painted Panda booth. It’s topped with whipped cream and two Oreos made to look like Mickey ears on the top. Make sure to take your photos quickly, as those Oreos do sink pretty quickly into the drink. If you want to dip them in your milk tea, you need to retrieve them quickly. This has just the right amount of sweetness without being overly sugary or syrupy. We let the Oreos sink down into our drink, so over time, they softened. When we stirred our drink, it created a cookies and cream-type shake. The boba doesn’t have much flavor to it, but it is fun if you enjoy bubble tea. Black and White Bubble Tea The Silk River Hard Lemonade with vodka, lavender-coconut syrup, and lemonade has a NEW name for 2024, though we’ve tried variations of this drink in the past. This has a sugar rim and a pretty lemon garnish that makes for a gorgeous pink drink. The coconut and the lemonade are the most prominent flavors in this drink, though there is a subtle floral note in there, too. We identified that floral note as the lavender, though keep in mind that it’s pretty faint. The sugar rim makes the drink sweeter, otherwise it is not an overly sweet cocktail. Try it for $13.75. Silk River Hard Lemonade with vodka Finally, we bought the Butterfly Blue drink, which is a butterfly pea flower-infused cocktail with vodka, light rum, lychee syrup, and magic boba pearls. This one is also priced at $13.75. Butterfly Blue Although the menu lists “magic boba pearls,” our drink (and others around us) did NOT have any boba. OK, be prepared because this is STRONG. The most prominent taste in this cocktail is vodka. We felt that it could use more syrup if we’re being honest — it was pretty much like drinking straight liquor. We also didn’t taste any of the light rum, though light rum generally does not have a heavy taste in cocktails. Be prepared for a strong drink if you decide to give this one a try! OVERALL Overall, we wouldn’t necessarily call this a must-do booth, though everything here is decent. Nothing is bad per say, but nothing blew us away, either. The standouts here were the General Tso’s Chicken Shumai and the Silk River Hard Lemonade. We had some fun here, but we wouldn’t recommend everything on the menu; especially if you have a picky eater in your group. That’s it for this booth, but there’s a LOT more where that came from! Ciao! Looking for details on where to find the latest Italian food at EPCOT? We’ve got you covered! L’Arte di Mangiare The 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Arts is underway with plenty of food studios, entertainment, and special activity offerings. With everything going on, we are here to help you master this year’s festival! As we tour around EPCOT’s World Showcase, let’s take a stop in Italy and visit this year’s Festival of the Arts booth — L’Arte di Mangiare! Is it worth a try? Let’s find out! Menu Over at L’Arte di Mangiare, you’ll find a variety of Italian delicacies. This year’s menu includes: Food Items: Mozzarella Fritta: Flash-fried breaded fresh mozzarella with artist palette condiments Conchiglie Ripiene: Baked stuffed conchiglie pasta with beef, ricotta, peas, pomodoro, and creamy sauce (New) Torta Ricotta di Cioccolata: Chocolate cheesecake and whipped cream (New) Beverages: Peroni Pilsner Langhe Nebbiolo Prosecco Italian Sangria (Red or White) Italian Margarita with tequila and limoncello Elderflower Sparkling Cocktail: Mint-infused elderflower liqueur, prosecco, and sparkling blood orange (New) The Conchiglie Ripiene, Torta Ricotta di Cioccolata, and Elderflower Sparkling Cocktail are all NEW items this year while everything else is returning to the booth. Last year, we were IN LOVE with the creativity and taste of the Mozzarella Fritta but felt it was a bit overpriced. As for the drinks, we were mostly satisfied and felt the Italian Margarita and Italian Sangria were standouts. L’Arte di Mangiare Menu Now that we’ve gone over the menu, let’s get to the important part — how did everything taste?! Eats The Mozzarella Fritta is returning this year. This is Flash-fried breaded fresh mozzarella with artist palette condiments for $8.50. Yes, it’s fried cheese, and OF COURSE, we’re eating it. But y’all, this presentation!!! This is also one of those things that should please a lot of people — EVERYONE loves fried cheese, right? Mozzarella Fritta The dips were marinara, an aïoli, a pesto, and a balsamic vinegar. Although you can’t go wrong with fried mozzarella dipped in marinara, we enjoyed the variety here. Our favorite, though, was the aïoli. On the other hand, the pesto dip was oily and needed more acid. Although this is a solid choice, it’s not a stand-out. Still, it’s super artistic and FRIED CHEESE, so we think it’s a must-get if you haven’t tried it before. Let’s take a bite We’ve got some new eats this year, too, though. The Conchiglie Ripiene for $9.50 is made with Baked stuffed conchiglie pasta with beef, ricotta, peas, pomodoro, and creamy sauce. So this dish is…well, it’s fine. It’s one of those things that will please a lot of people, but it’s not that special. We will say that the pasta is well-cooked and not mushy, which we’ve seen coming from food booths in the past. Conchiglie Ripiene The filling inside the pasta was a little bland — we felt it needed more salt. The creamy sauce on the bottom was like a whipped ricotta. The topping was just a basic Pomodoro sauce with grated Parmesan cheese. Is this EPCOT Festival of the Arts-worthy food? We’re going to say “nope.” YUM Also new this year is the Torta Ricotta di Cioccolata for $8. This is a Chocolate cheesecake and whipped cream. Okay, FINALLY something that’s worthy of the Festival of the Arts. This cheesecake is DELICIOUS. Sure, it’s a little standard (it’s cheesecake), but the taste gives it the “wow” factor. Torta Ricotta di Cioccolata This is creamy and rich, but not heavy. It’s also fluffy and soft like a cheesecake should be with a deep dark chocolate flavor. This is another one of our faves from the festival! So creamy If you like super sweet desserts, this one might not be for you because it’s only slightly sweet. Instead, it’s tangy and rich. Dark chocolate lovers need to jump on this ASAP. Really, though, we thought it was so good that if you skip it, you’re SERIOUSLY missing out. Drinks So you can grab a variety of returning drinks here, including Peroni Pilsner (6 oz. $6.50/ 12 oz. $11.00), Langhe Nebbiolo ($14), Prosecco ($11.75), Red or White Italian Sangria ($12), and an Italian Margarita with tequila and limoncello ($12). Prosecco | 2021 Festival of the Arts L’Arte di Mangiare But we’re trying the Elderflower Sparkling Cocktail for $15, made with Mint-infused elderflower liqueur, prosecco, and sparkling blood orange. Now, we enjoyed this cocktail. It’s not a sweet drink and most of the flavor we got came from the blood orange, at least more than the elderflower. Elderflower Sparkling Cocktail We couldn’t taste the mint at all, but we didn’t miss it. It’s flavorful, light, and is a great drink for a warm day at EPCOT. OVERALL Although the savory options at this food booth were just okay for us, we really did find a standout dessert in the Cheesecake and would recommend making a beeline to Italy just to try it. The cocktail was also a big hit with us and we’d recommend it, as well. If you have picky eaters in your party, they’d probably like the savory options, but this festival is all about ARTISTRY, especially in food, and we feel like this booth just didn’t get the memo with those two items. L’Arte di Mangiare Full Spread That’s it for L’Arte di Mangiare, but there are tons of other booths we covered that you should know about! Get ready to be overwhelmed by rich, delicious flavors, because the next Festival of the Arts food booth we’re visiting is famous for them! Pastoral Palate Food Studio The 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Arts has lots of different food studios with tasty items to try. But we don’t think you’re prepared for just how great this next booth is. Think you can handle it? Alright, come along with us to the Pastoral Palate booth near the Germany pavilion in EPCOT! Menu Over at the Pastoral Palate booth, you’ll find a variety of available items, including many returning favorites such as the Red Wine-braised Beef Short Rib. Pastoral Palate Menu Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself! Eats First up, we grabbed the Red Wine-braised Beef Short Rib with parsnip purée, broccolini, baby tomatoes, and balsamic glaze. This dish costs $8.75 and is DDP Snack Eligible. We’ve loved this dish for a long time, and this year is no different! Red Wine-braised Beef Short Rib The beef short rib is so tender you can cut it like butter. It has amazing flavor that is only accented by the savory sauce, hearty veggies, and the creamy mashed potatoes. If you’ve loved the beef at the Canada pavilion during the Food and Wine Festival, this one is a top competitor. It’s seriously, delicious. Red Wine-braised Beef Short Rib Now it’s time for dessert! We got the Black Forest Cake, which is chocolate mousse with morello cherries and chantilly cream. This costs $4.75, and it’s also DDP Snack Eligible. This cake was new last year, and we thought it was a super tasty blend of chocolate and cherry flavors. Black Forest Cake Chocolate fans, you need to watch out — this cake might be your new all-time favorite dessert. It’s soft and moist, rich and chocolatey. It’s so easy cut through (if you choose not to eat it all in one bite). And the tangy cherries pair perfectly with it. It’s the ultimate chocolate covered cherry. Black Forest Cake Drinks In terms of drinks at this booth, we got the the Frozen Rosé costs $7 on its own or you can purchase as part of the “A Play on Rosé” flight. Like most frozen food and drink items in Florida, this melts very quickly. But that doesn’t take away from how good it is. It is very similar to the frozen wines you can get at the France pavilion, but it has a hint of tartness. It’s certainly tasty. Frozen Rosé You can also get the “A Play on Rosé” Flight, which costs $11 and comes with a tasting portion of 3 Daughters Brewing Rosé Hard Cider, 81Bay Brewing Co. Rosé Blonde Ale, and Frozen Rosé. Individually, the Cider and Ale cost $5.75 for a 6 oz pour and $9.75 for a 12 oz pour. We’ve loved this flight in the past! 2022 “A Play on Rosé” Flight Also available at this booth is the Marietta Old Vine Rosé for $5.50. OVERALL This booth might just make our Best of the Fest list this year. It has some fantastic options! We would get this meal and dessert every day of the festival. And you can’t go wrong with a flight of rosé. This is a must stop booth, for sure. Pastoral Palate — Full Spread That’s it for this booth, but there’s a LOT more where that came from! People come to this next food studio at the Festival of the Arts because it’s Encanto-themed, and who can resist that? But they STAY because of the super tasty eats and drinks. Vibrante & Vívido Encanto Cocina Food Studio Can you believe it’s already time for the 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Arts?! We’re running all over EPCOT today, tasting fantastic food, buying souvenirs, and watching incredible artistic performances. Yep, it’s a lot. But don’t worry! We’ve got you covered with everything you need to know. And now we’re heading to one spot in particular — the Vibrante & Vívido Encanto Cocina — to give you the FULL scoop! Is it worth a try? Let’s find out! Menu Over at the Vibrante & Vívido Encanto Cocina, you’ll find a variety of available items, including mostly returning eats and drinks with one brand-new dessert! Vibrante & Vívido Encanto Cocina Menu Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself! Eats First up, we grabbed the Chorizo and Potato Empanada with turmeric aïoli and annatto aïoli, which is returning from last year. This is also a Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine Item! You can grab it for $6.75, and it’s also DDP Snack Eligible. In 2023, we really enjoyed the kick of spice that this snack brought! But how does it compare in 2024? Chorizo and Potato Empanada This is going to make our Best of the Fest list, hands down. We noticed a lot of folks talking about the Empanada and now that we’ve had it, we GET IT. It’s beautiful. It’s also filled with so much chorizo that it could be the kind of snack that would hold you over until you can get a full meal. Be warned, though — that chorizo packs some heat. It’s pretty spicy, so keep that in mind. We saw a lot of people surprised that it was so spicy. Look at it! Next up is the NEW menu item: the Passion Fruit-filled Mango Cheesecake with coconut-pineapple cake, dragon fruit gelée, and dragon fruit-strawberry sauce. This treat costs $5 and is DDP Snack Eligible, too. Okay, so as you can see, this LOOKS like art. Passion Fruit Filled Mango Cheesecake It also tastes like art, which is pretty much what this festival is about! The passionfruit curd in the middle is very tart and works great with the milder mango cheesecake. We will warn you that it’s VERY tart, so keep that in mind. The dragonfruit adds an exotic flavor to the overall blend of flavors. This is the kind of thing you want to eat on a hot Florida day. That’s it for food, so let’s check out the drinks! Drinks In terms of drinks at this booth, we got the Frozen Piña Colada for $14.50. We had this drink in 2023 and thought it had a great, strong coconut flavor without being too sweet. This year, we found this to be just a solid and classic Piña Colada. We also loved that it had chunks of pineapple in it — that just made it so satisfying. Frozen Piña Colada Next up is the Passion Fruit Daiquiri for $14.50. This drink is a LOT like our beloved POG juice, although it’s missing the tartness of the orange flavor in POG, but still, we LOVED this. Passion Fruit Daiquiri We thought both of these drinks were excellent and two of our favorites we’ve had at the festival yet. They’re both such perfect frozen slushy drinks that make you feel like you’re sitting on a beach on a tropical island somewhere. The last drink on the menu is the Coconut and Passion Fruit Smoothie (non-alcoholic), which is $5 and DDP Snack Eligible. Coconut and Passion Fruit Smoothie Last year we enjoyed this drink, though we felt that the balance of coconut and passion fruit was just a little bit off and leaned heavier into the passion fruit. OVERALL Although this booth doesn’t have a LOT of offerings, everything being offered here is hands-down amazing and this might just be our favorite booth of the festival. The drinks were spot-on. The dessert was incredible — and a great example of the kind of food we expect at the Festival of the Arts. The Empanada is already the talk of the town. This one is a winner, in every way. We are at the 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Arts! There’s lots to do here, but, of course, our favorite thing to do at the EPCOT festivals is EAT! Pop Eats! The 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Arts has officially begun, and it has a LOT to offer. There are plenty of food studios with tasty items, shows and artistic performances to watch, souvenirs to grab (of course), and even an art-inspired food stroll to complete. But don’t let it overwhelm you — we’ve got you covered with everything you need to know. And now we’re heading to one spot in particular — Pop Eats! — to give you the FULL scoop! Is it worth a try? Let’s find out! Menu Over at the Pop Eats! booth, you’ll find a variety of available items. This booth is located near the Port of Entry, and it’s a very popular Festival location. You can grab some great eats like a grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup, a fancy grilled cheese with bacon and a fried green tomato with your tomato soup, or a yummy white chocolate and orange mouse with vanilla bean cake dessert! Here’s a peek at the menu The booth also has two drink offerings this year! There is the Brooklyn Brewery Pulp Art Hazy IPA or the Blanc de Bleu Cuvée Mousseux with boba pearls. Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu let’s dive into the food itself! Eats First up, we grabbed Tomato Soup with Grilled Cheese! We have enjoyed it in previous years and have high hopes for it this year! This is a returning item and it’s part of the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine activity. You can get it for $5.75. Tomato Soup with Grilled Cheese This is a popular item of the festival. You can’t go wrong with a classic! The soup comes in an Andy Warhol-inspired can, and you get a delicious little grilled cheese on the side. It may be a little basic, but we’re happy to see this menu item back at the Festival this year. Our only complaint was that our sandwich was a little flat. Tomato Soup We then grabbed the Tomato Soup with pimento cheese, bacon, and fried green tomato grilled cheese! You can pick this up for $6.50. This was a new item in 2023, and we were big fans. Last year, everything went beautifully together. The flavors were great, especially when dunked in the creamy soup. This menu item is also part of the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine. Tomato Soup with pimento cheese, bacon, and fried green tomato grilled cheese This year, we were reminded why we LOVED this the first time around. It’s fantastic! Our reporter finds that the tomato soup works best when it’s dipped with grilled cheese. The soup is nice and thick and makes a great dipping sauce. Tomato Soup with pimento cheese, bacon, and fried green tomato grilled cheese One important note here, though. After chatting with a few other EPCOT guests, we determined that this booth has the potential to be inconsistent. We happened to get a fresh, warm sandwich, but the person sitting next to us felt that their sandwich had been sitting out a little longer, and they left a little disappointed. This is one of the MOST popular booths we’ve seen, so Cast Members are working at max capacity to crank out a LOT of sandwiches. Your sandwich miiiight not be freshly made when it’s your turn to order, but we still feel confident enough about the food here to recommend this booth to you. YUM! This year, a new item has made its appearance as the booth’s dessert! You can grab the Rock the Dots White Chocolate and Orange Mousse with vanilla bean chiffon cake for $5.25. This dessert looks pretty, and we couldn’t wait to try it. Rock the Dots White Chocolate and Orange Mousse We really enjoyed this mousse! It reminded us of a creme brûlée square in terms of texture, but this one had a sweet vanilla bean flavor with a hint of citrusy orange. The outer chocolate shell was light, and we enjoyed the soft crunch when we broke into it with our fork. You mostly get a white chocolate flavor here, so keep that in mind if you prefer milk or dark chocolate. Rock the Dots Mousse Alright, now that our bellies are a little fuller, let’s check out the drinks at Pop Eats!. Drinks In terms of drinks at this booth, we got the Bleu Spectrum, which is Blanc de Bleu Cuvée Mousseux with boba pearls! This is also returning from last year; we picked it up for $10.50. Bleu Spectrum We got this last year and weren’t the biggest fans, but we wanted to give it another shot to see if it had upped its game. It’s still a very appealing drink to look at (it certainly fits the theme of the festival!), and it’ll go on our Instagram page beautifully. But in terms of flavor, it tasted like a nonalcoholic mimosa for children. The flavors here were a little on the simple, sugary side. It’s fun to look at, but there’s nothing special about this drink. Also returning this year is the Brooklyn Brewery Pulp Art Hazy IPA. This drink is $9.75. It’s a pretty standard IPA. OVERALL Overall, this booth continues to be a favorite! You can’t beat either of the grilled cheeses served here. We might suggest staying away from the Bleu Spectrum, but other than that, we’ll keep returning to Pop Eats! each year. 2024 Full Spread That’s it for this booth, but there’s a LOT more where that came from! It’s time to experience more amazing and delicious food! We’re at the Festival of the Arts, where food doesn’t just taste great, it looks beautiful, too! Craftsman’s Courtyard The 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Arts has officially begun and it has a LOT to offer. There are plenty of food studios with tasty items, shows and artistic performances to watch, souvenirs to grab (of course), and even an art-inspired food stroll to complete. Now, let’s go to the Craftsman’s Courtyard to give you the FULL scoop on this food booth! Is it worth a try? Let’s find out! Menu Over at the Craftsman’s Courtyard, you’ll find a variety of available items. There are two new food options — Grilled Pork Belly with salsa verde, broccoli rabe, pickled peppers, and raclette cheese on grilled sourdough and the Grilled Marinated Skirt Steak with caramelized onions and mushrooms, blue cheese fondue, and arugula on a grilled French roll. You can also find two drink options here, both of which are returning — BrewDog Jet Black Heart Nitro Oatmeal Stout and a Coffee Old Fashioned Cocktail. Craftsman’s Courtyard Menu Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself! Eats First up, we grabbed the Grilled Pork Belly with salsa verde, broccoli rabe, pickled peppers, and raclette cheese on grilled sourdough. You can grab this dish for $6.75. These flavors just exploded in our mouths. The greens and tomato were soft against the lightly spiced pork belly on top of a soft bread covered with a salsa verde cream? SHEER PERFECTION. Grilled Pork Belly Next up, we grabbed the Grilled Marinated Skirt Steak with caramelized onions and mushrooms, blue cheese fondue, and arugula on a grilled French roll. This is also new this year! It is $7. Grilled Marinated Skirt Steak The Skirt Steak with the mushrooms is a winning combination. The steak was SO tender, but there was still enough fat to keep it chewy. The bread was light, but had a nice resistance to it when we bit into it. Grilled Marinated Skirt Steak We LOVED both of these meals! But let’s dive into the beverages. Drinks In terms of drinks at this booth, we got the Coffee Old Fashioned Cocktail for $11.50. This is a returning drink. Last year it was new to this booth but could previously be found at The Donut Box. Last year, it reminded us of a coffee-infused Old Fashioned, so if you like bourbon, you might enjoy this drink! We love how the hint of deeper whiskey taste blends with the coffee. It creates a nice smokey flavor with a pleasant lingering taste. We think this one could be a crowd-pleaser even for those folks who don’t necessarily drink a lot. Coffee Old Fashioned Cocktail The second drink at this booth is the BrewDog Jet Black Heart Nitro Oatmeal Stout. It is also a returning beverage option at this booth, but we opted to not grab it this year. You can get it for $5.75 for a 6 oz. pour and $9.75 for a 12 oz. pour. 2023 BrewDog Jet Black Heart Nitro Oatmeal Stout Last year, our reporters had varying opinions on this beer. One of them thought it was a bit too hoppy for their liking, but it was still a good drink for a Florida summer. On the other hand, another reporter said they really enjoyed it even though they’re not much of a beer drinker. Overall, we thought it was a pretty classic oatmeal stout. You’ll have to try it to decide for yourself! OVERALL What can we say? If you don’t visit ANY other booth at the EPCOT Festival of the Arts, at least stop by this booth and try EVERYTHING. We’ve got a genuine Best of the Fest contender here and everything we tried just knocked it out of the park. Full Spread at The Craftsman’s Courtyard That’s it for this booth, but there’s a LOT more where that came from! Click here to see FULL reviews of EVERY. SINGLE. BOOTH. at the Festival of the Arts! We’re heading to Figment’s Inspiration Station at The Odyssey right now to find out whether this spot is worth a visit! OVERALL You’ll find some sweeter options at this booth. Welcome to Festival of the Arts season! We’re trying all of the new eats, drinks and letting you know what we think of them. We’re warning you, reading this may make you book a trip to EPCOT so you can take part in all of this festival goodness. We’re not liable for any decisions you make after reading this post — unless it’s a good decision, then we’ll take credit. Cuisine Classique Food Studio The 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Arts has officially begun and it has a LOT to offer. There are plenty of food studios with tasty items, shows and artistic performances to watch, souvenirs to grab (of course), and even an art-inspired food stroll to complete. But don’t let it overwhelm you — we’ve got you covered with everything you need to know. And now we’re heading to one spot in particular — Cuisine Classique — to give you the FULL scoop! Is it worth a try? Let’s find out! Menu Over at Cuisine Classique, you’ll find a variety of available items. All of these items are BRAND NEW this year (to this booth, at least)! This booth is returning after a hiatus, and we can’t wait to see what it has to offer. We have seen all of these menu items last year at Craftsman’s Courtyard — now it is time to see how they measure up. Cuisine Classique Menu Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself! Eats First up, we grabbed the Beef Wellington. This item is made up of Mushroom duxelles, prosciutto, and puff pastry with red wine demi-glace. This costs $8.75. This is one of those dishes that we’ve heard a lot of people raving about, and we can say it lived up to the hype. Well, sort of? Beef Wellington The meat was a little hard to cut through, but it wasn’t hard to chew once we started eating it. The mushrooms inside are amazing, but the pastry was a little tough. The best part is the red wine demi-glace – y’all, we can’t EVEN because it is spectacular. When we just tried the Beef Wellington without, we were like “okay, it’s fine.” But the demi-glace takes it up a lot of notches. It adds sweet and savory flavors, moisture, and complexity. This demi-glace, though Also, pro-tip, also drag the potatoes through the demi-glace, because YES. The potatoes are mashed to the perfect consistency and worked great with the green onions mixed in and the veggies on top. Great potatoes Next up, we got the Cast Iron-roasted P.E.I. Mussels. This item is made up of mussels with sautéed tomatoes, garlic, and fresh herbs, and you can get it for $8. Cast Iron-roasted P.E.I. mussels The Mussels were perfectly cooked. The main flavors are garlic and red chili flake for just a bit of kick. These are worth trying if you love Mussels. Cast Iron-roasted P.E.I. mussels As we mentioned before, all of the food offerings are returning after being sold at Craftsman’s Courtyard last year. We enjoyed being able to find them at a booth that has returned after a hiatus! Drinks In terms of drinks at this booth, we got the Gulf Stream Brewing Company Sum of All Colors IPA. You can find this at this booth for $5.75 for 6 oz. and $9.75 for 12 oz. Gulf Stream Brewing Company Sum of All Colors IPA Okay, well, the beer. Here’s our warning about this drink: We can’t say we’d recommend it to IPA drinkers. The flavor reminded us more of like a stout or a really dark amber beer. It’s really robust, so if you’re looking for a more acidic, fruity IPA, this isn’t it. It’s still a good beer and the flavor is exciting and it’s something beer lovers should try. But again, this isn’t your typical IPA. OVERALL Overall, our experience at this booth was pretty good. The Beef Wellington is solid and a LOT of people are hyping it up, but ours wasn’t really that incredible. The beer was also good, but note that it’s not really a typical IPA, so there’s a word of warning. Overall, we’d say the food offerings here are solid, though. Cuisine Classique Spread That’s it for this booth, but there’s A LOT more where that came from! Click here to see FULL reviews of EVERY. SINGLE. BOOTH. at the Festival of the Arts! When a booth is named “Gourmet Landscapes” you might go in with some high gourmet food expectations, right? But can this Festival booth DELIVER on that promise of a “gourmet” meal experience? We’re about to find out. Gourmet Landscapes The 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Arts has officially begun, and it has a LOT to offer. There are plenty of food studios with tasty items, shows and artistic performances to watch, souvenirs to grab (of course), and even an art-inspired food stroll to complete. But don’t let it overwhelm you — we’ve got you covered with everything you need to know. And now we’re heading to one spot in particular — the Gourmet Landscapes — to give you the FULL scoop! Is it worth a try? Let’s find out! Menu Gourmet Landscapes is the home of elegant comfort food. Most of the menu items and drinks are returning. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, though — but are these items enough to draw you in for a visit? Let’s dive into the food first and find out. Menu Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself! Eats We’ll start with the new item at this food studio, the Verjus-roasted Beets, which cost $5.50 and are DDP snack eligible. This dish comes with goat cheese, petite lettuce, blackberry gastrique, and spiced pecans. It is gluten/wheat friendly, a plant-based item, and is part of the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine Item. The Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine is essentially a food challenge where if you buy 5 of the 7 participating items, you can get a FREE prize. Verjus-roasted Beets with goat cheese, petite lettuce, blackberry gastrique, and spiced pecans We thought the beets were a little briny and almost had a pickled taste. The gastrique added a very interesting flavor that made the whole dish taste crafted and balanced. The tiny mushrooms brought a great, rich flavor as well! This dish is definitely for more adventurous eaters who love earthy flavors. Next up is the Roasted Bone Marrow for $10.50. This is also DDP snack eligible, which is a pretty good deal for a $10 snack! The Roasted Bone Marrow is completed with onion marmalade, pickled mushrooms, and petite lettuce. Didn’t have roasted bone marrow on your EPCOT Bingo list, did ya?! We’ve seen various versions of this dish here since 2022. In 2022, there was mache lettuce and bone marrow snow listed on the menu. But this is the same dish we experienced in 2023, so if you had it last year, you can expect a similar experience. Roasted Bone Marrow If you don’t know how to eat it, you’re supposed to spoon out the marrow and spread it over the bread that’s served with it. We thought this was super interesting and also definitely just for adventurous eaters! The marrow starts off salty and then has a very unexpected sweet flavor as an aftertaste. Our reporter described it as an “enigma,” because that aftertaste was so surprising. The final dish here is the Wild Mushroom Risotto with aged Parmesan, truffle shavings, and zinfandel reduction. This one is $9.75 and also DDP snack eligible. Wild Mushroom Risotto This was our favorite item at this booth! It’s plant-based, so that “parmesan” is really a coconut-based “cheese.” The dish was salty, delicious, and earthy. Overall it’s a little bit chewy since there’s no crunchy element, but we thought it was warm and delicious. Drinks Next, let’s dive into those drinks! First, we have the Whole Hog Brewery Raspberry Chéret Double Radler. You can get a 6oz pour for $5.75 or 12oz for $9.75. You can also find a Schlumberger Cuvée Klimt Brut on the menu for $9. Or you can opt for The Meeker Vineyard Winemaker’s Handprint Merlot for $11. And finally, while here, you can get the Frozen Scotch Cocktail with Scotch and herbal tea garnished with a chocolate nail for $15.50. Frozen Scotch Cocktail In the past, we’ve seen a similar cocktail, Frozen Rusty Nail Cocktail, which was made with bourbon, tea, and topped with a chocolate nail. So this is a familiar drink with a Scotch switched in for the bourbon. Though both Scotch and bourbon are members of the whiskey family, Scotch is made with malted barley, while bourbon is made from corn and tends to be a touch sweeter. This is a very earthy drink (we bet you’ve picked up on the “earthy” trend at this booth!). The drink is also VERY strong — it tasted a bit like we were drinking straight Scotch with just a dash of tea. The chocolate nail was a fun addition, but it’s just plain milk chocolate and doesn’t really change the drink. Here’s a quick warning about this cocktail: Because it’s frozen, if you don’t drink it quickly, the ice will melt and water it down. OVERALL Overall, Gourmet Landscapes is keeping things pretty similar in 2024 when compared to previous years. The beet dish has not been our favorite, but the bone marrow is at least very interesting. The Frozen Scotch Cocktail may not be for you if you prefer sweet and fruity drinks. But that wild mushroom risotto is DEFINITELY worth trying! This booth is for adventurous eaters only! Back in the day, there used to be a small Starbucks location right next to the EPCOT World Showcase. These days, that building has been TRANSFORMED, and now we’re back at this little location to try some NEW EPCOT Festival of the Arts treats! 2024 Booth The 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Arts has officially begun, and there is a LOT going on during the event. There are dozens of food booths with tasty items, shows and performances, souvenirs (DUH), and even an art-inspired food stroll. But with so much to explore, it can be overwhelming, so we’ve got you covered with everything you need to know. And now we’re heading to one spot in particular — the Swirled Showcase — to give you the FULL scoop! Is it worth a try? Let’s find out! This probably won’t come as a surprise, but this soft serve melted QUICKLY. We’re not kidding when we say eat it fast. In terms of the flavor, this is a “sugary, sweet, and super neat treat,” according to our reporter. A little corny? Yes. But hey — this isn’t exactly a groundbreaking dessert. It basically tastes like cake batter ice cream, with some crunchy sprinkles mixed in for a little texture. If you like that classic (very sweet, we might add) cake batter flavor, this might be just what you’re looking for. Soft-serve in a Waffle Cone Now, this is where things took a turn. We had every intention of trying the new Strawberry Fanta Float with cupcake soft-serve, but Cast Members informed us that the machine was temporarily down! We’ll be sure to check back later to see if everything is up and running. OVERALL This is the place to go for dessert! As you can see from the menu, this booth focuses on soft serve and sweet, sugary treats. Is it the most innovative, exciting booth of the festival? Probably not. But this could be a GREAT option for little ones since the menu items are simple and easy to eat (though they may be a little messy). Our biggest complaint was that we were missing some of those menu items due to an operational issue — we’re hoping Disney is able to sort that out ASAP. That’s it for this booth, but there’s a LOT more where that came from! Click here to see FULL reviews of EVERY. SINGLE. BOOTH. at the Festival of the Arts! Towards the end of last year, Disney teased a NEW feature coming to Disney+, and now we finally know more about those changes! ©Disney Disney went into detail about the new Disney+ feature at the Fourth Annual Tech & Data Showcase at CES, so we’ve now got information about what could be coming soon to the streaming platform. Disney has been working on shopping and gaming experiences that could double as interactive ads, which is a new idea for streaming that Disney has said is “an important place to be involved in.” At the Tech & Data Showcase at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Disney introduced “Gateway Shop and Shop the Stream.” According to Disney, this new system has evolved from GatewayGo, which was “Disney’s first commerce-enabled ad format.” The new Gateway Shop “allows consumers to access personalized offers for purchase from a retailer without leaving the viewing environment.” ©Disney Disney also stated that “soon, viewers can discover and explore products as they watch by sending products they see in films and TV straight to their second screen with Shop the Stream.” By “second screen,” Disney means your phone, laptop, or any other screen you may have on hand aside from the one you’re watching. It’s a Disney-themed Roku city! It sounds like you’ll be able to see a new product in the show you’re watching and immediately access it through advertisers. Disney has already launched a beta program for its “streaming shoppable ad format.” So how does it actually work? Disney said that “viewers will receive personalized prompts for products that are sent directly to their phones via push notifications or email. Advertisers including Unilever are part of the limited beta, which drives awareness and conversion without disrupting the viewer experience.” Jamie Power, SVP of Addressable Sales, Disney Advertising, said, “Our goal is to help audiences connect with the brands they love with the least amount of friction, without disrupting the content they’re streaming. Innovation is in Disney’s DNA, and in a cross-screen world, we believe shoppable experiences not only complement, but elevate, streaming.” ©Disney According to Amy Lehman, SVP of Advertising Platforms, “Audience behaviors have changed, and advertising should reflect that and serve both viewers and marketers in new ways. Gateway Shop provides viewers with choice and control, in an engaging and non-disruptive format.” Disney is going to keep working on the interactive ads, ironing out the kinks when it comes to sending viewers personalized emails and push notifications related to the products they’re seeing on shows and movies. Disney+ Billboard Disney also shared another cool new feature that’s centered around their streaming and advertising products: Disney’s Magic Words. This is “the company’s first-to-market contextual advertising format using advanced data. This new technology allows Disney to analyze scenes and visuals across their expansive library, to capture a mood or moment, to help advertisers personalize their messaging specifically around that emotion.” So in the future, the ads you see on Disney+ and Hulu may be specifically tailored to the scenes and emotions being displayed in the show you’re currently watching.
