  3. Every year, there are new experiences that become available in Disney World. Magic Kingdom Last year alone, TRON Lightcycle /Run opened, Disney celebrated their 100th Anniversary for the whole year, Splash Mountain permanently closed to make way for a new attraction, and those are just to name a few. And while there are tons of exciting things coming for 2024, we’re wondering if it will be enough. What do we mean by “not being enough?” Well, another Orlando theme park currently has a massive expansion planned for early 2025. And by expansion, we mean an entire new park. ©Universal | Epic Universe Concept Art Yes, Universal Orlando is building a whole new park called Epic Universe to open in early to mid 2025, located not too far from the existing two parks. Additionally, they’ll be getting three new hotels — one inside the park and two located close by. ©Universal Yeah…that’s a little hard to compete with. Disney isn’t planning a new theme park by any means, but there are lots of exciting things on the way. One of the biggest is the introduction of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which is taking the place of Splash Mountain (but will have the same ride system). @Disney Additionally, we should see ALL the walls come down in EPCOT to complete the EPCOT Transformation. This will include the opening of Communicore Plaza and Communicore Hall, as well as open up the park to be fully walkable again without walls blocking your path. Now, this was technically supposed to be done in 2023…but we have hope it’ll finally happen this year! Communicore Hall Construction We also know that Country Bear Jamboree is getting a facelift/revamp in Magic Kingdom (which has prompted some mixed feelings from guests to say the least) in 2024, and Test Track in EPCOT will also be undergoing a transformation. Country Bear Jamboree will close on Jan. 27th and reopen this summer. However, we don’t know when Test Track’s closure and revamp will begin OR end. ©Disney Animal Kingdom’s DinoLand U.S.A. will also officially be going away sometime soon (no timeline announced just yet) and be replaced with a new land themed after the Tropical Americas. This could include experiences inspired by Encanto and Indiana Jones, but we don’t have any concrete information just yet. @Disney Not to mention that we’re getting new sections of hotels like the DVC tower at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and new restaurants like the Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers coming to the BoardWalk. Polynesian Village Construction But is this enough to compete with a WHOLE new park? It’s hard to say, and it’s up to each individual. Universal doesn’t have the Disney magic that Disney World does, but older kids and adults may really enjoy exploring a new park with IPs from many different Universal films and worlds. Mickey Premium Bar Overall, we’re going to have to wait until we get closer to the end of 2024 to see what’s happened in Disney World, and how Epic Universe is coming along to really see how they’re comparing. As always, stay tuned to DFB for all the latest Disney news! We compared Disney and Universal to see how they compete as they currently stand — check it out! 5. When it comes to budget-friendly airlines, Breeze Airways is at the top of the list for a lot of folks. Have you ever flown with Breeze? Although the airline has been making flights to and from Florida for nearly two years now, Breeze is expanding its operations to Florida in a BIG way. If you visit Disney World often and are always on the hunt for low airfare from a reliable airline, you’re gonna want to listen up. Breeze Airways announced that they would be expanding operations to open a crew base in Orlando, Florida! What does this mean? A crew base is coming to Orlando! Well, not only does this mean that Breeze will now have 11 new routes to and from Orlando, but you’ll also have more support at the airport when it comes to flight crews, customer service, technical operations, and all of the folks that make your airport and flight experience a breeze. (No pun intended.) Airplane Orlando makes Breeze’s eighth crew base, which will officially open on April 1st. Now, about those 11 new routes… Breeze is adding routes to Mobile, Alabama. Greenville, North Carolina, and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, with even more connections to those cities. Traveling soon? Breeze shared that they would be operated by the Airbus A220-300, which accommodates 137 passengers. If you’re hoping to be one of those passengers, they’re offering a DEAL to celebrate their new routes. You can score airfare for as low as $39 one-way if you book by January 29th at 11:59PM EST for travel through September 3rd, 2024. And there you have it! We’ll be sure to keep you updated with more Disney news, so make sure to follow along for more so that you never miss a thing. 6. Forget those old Disney snacks (okay, maybe don’t totally forget about them — but let’s put them aside for a second)! If you’re looking for something brand NEW to excite those taste buds of yours we know exactly where you need to go! Prosperity Bao & Buns From January 23rd through February 18th, 2024, Disney California Adventure in Disneyland Resort is celebrating the Lunar New Year (it’s the Year of the Dragon ) with all kinds of epic eats, unique entertainment, and more. While there are some returning items you’ll certainly want to check out, there’s one food booth at the Festival that has a whole bunch of NEW things for you to try. So, join us now as we stop by Prosperity Bao & Buns to see whether this spot is a must-do or a total SKIP. Menu First up, let’s talk menu. As we noted above, the menu this year at Prosperity Bao & Bun features some new snacks to talk about. There are 2 buns to pick from as well as a variety of alcoholic drinks. Menu Kung Pao Bao — NEW! BBQ Pork Bun — NEW! Jasmine Tea Lager? NEW! That’s right folks — it’s a whole party of newness over here. To be honest, we are a bit sad to see the Pepperoni Pizza Bao Bun didn’t return, but new snacks await us so let’s jump in and see if these items are worth the cash. Eats First up, we grabbed the Kung Pao Bao. This is a bao bun made with plant-based chicken, toasted peanuts, and scallions. It is priced at $9. Kung Pao Bao We never would have guessed this was plant-based chicken! The sauce here is absolutely delicious and we think the peanuts go very well with all the other flavors. This bun has a bit of spice, but it’s nothing too overwhelming. The bao bun is perfectly soft and airy — overall this is an amazing offering, and we give it an 8/10! We loved it! Next up, it’s time to keep the bao party going with the BBQ Pork Bun. This features kimchi mayo and garlic chile crunch. You can grab one of these for $9. BBQ Pork Bun We describe this as a spicy little ball of deliciousness! The Kimchi Mayo is really what ties this whole dish together. The meat is super tender and the bao bun is, again, so soft. We give this one a 10/10 as long as you don’t mind spice! Spicy little ball of deliciousness Many of you out there might be big fans of the Cheeseburger Pods from Satu’li Canteen in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. In terms of a comparison, these buns are just as soft, if not softer, and they’ve definitely got a kick to them, while the Cheeseburger Pods don’t have any spice. If you find yourself wishing the Cheeseburger Pods just had some spice, you have to try these! Now, let’s talk drinks. Drinks The alcoholic beverage options here are new as well, so we opted to try a few different things by getting the Dragon Beer Flight, priced at $18.50. This flight comes with the Brewery X Grapefruit Panda Pool Party Bamboo Rice Lager, Harland Brewing Co. Tangerine Dragon Fruit Hefeweizen, Stereo Brewing Co. Jasmine Tea Lager, and Eagle Rock Brewery Lychee IPA. Dragon Beer Flight The Brewery X Grapefruit Panda Pool Party Bamboo Rice Lager is the lightest and has a very, very small hint of grapefruit. It wasn’t our reporter’s favorite flavor-wise, but it was still good. The Harland Brewing Co. Tangerine Dragon Fruit Hefeweizen on the other hand was definitely more tart than the others. The tangerine flavor is right at the forefront, and we loved the aftertaste it made. It’s very light and refreshing. A little bit of each one! The Stereo Brewing Co. Jasmine Tea Lager was next and this one was our reporter’s favorite! The jasmine tea really shines in this drink, making it so incredibly refreshing — great for a hot day. Lastly, we had the Eagle Rock Brewery Lychee IPA which was our reporter’s least favorite. Since this is an IPA, the beer taste is stronger here and the lychee is VERY strong. It’s definitely a bitter beer, and it packs a punch with 7% ABV. Give it a try! All of these drinks are new to the Festival this year. While you can grab each one individually (prices range from $14 to $15.25), the flight provides you with a nice way to sample each of them. Also available at this booth is the Tsingtao with Frozen Mango Beer Foam ($15), the NEW Mickey-shaped Macaron Straw Clip (there is a limit of two per person, per transaction, $7.75 each)… ©Disney …and the returning Lotus Flower Glow Cube (there is a limit of 10 per person, per transaction, $6 each). Lotus Flower Glowing Cube from 2023 Overall Overall, if you’re looking for some savory snacks, a fantastic item with some plant-based meat in it, or a few refreshing new beers, Prosperity Bao & Buns is the place to be. We’ll be sharing FULL reviews of all the booths at the Lunar New Year Festival in California Adventure, so be sure to stay tuned for those details. We’re gonna share it with you right now! First up, if you’re not familiar with the Disney Dining Plan, it is a plan you can package with a Disney World hotel stay and park tickets that essentially allows you to pre-pay for the meals you’ll eat on vacation. There are two tiers of plans available — one that provides meals at Disney World quick-service restaurants and snacks, and one that allows meals at both table-service and quick-service restaurants, as well as snacks. We’ve got a complete list of the restaurants that accept the dining plan — click the link below to get it! Is the dining plan a good deal? Our very best answer to that is … it depends. 9. It appears the Disneyland Resort may be shaking things up this year for its festivals! Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure Disneyland is home to many special events, including the Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival and the Lunar New Year celebration. During this year’s Lunar New Year Celebration at Disney California Adventure (DCA), however, Disneyland is trying something new when it comes to purchasing food and drinks at booths. In previous years, DCA has offered the Sip and Savor Pass, a card that guests can purchase with eight tabs on it that can be redeemed at Food and Wine Festival food booths for select foods and non-alcoholic drinks. However, beginning this year, Sip and Savor is going digital for the Lunar New Year celebration! Lunar New Year Sip and Savor Pass The new Sip and Savor Pass comes in the form of a wristlet with an attached barcode that works as a tabs and receipts database. The Lunar New Year pass includes six coupons that can be redeemed for select food and non-alcoholic beverages at the following Lunar New Year marketplaces and dining locations at DCA: Lunar New Year Marketplaces Longevity Noodle Co. 10. For a long, long time now, there has been one snack we’ve been hoping would come to Magic Kingdom. Cinderella Castle At Disneyland Park, they have New Orleans Square instead of Liberty Square. And in New Orleans Square, you can order some delicious, fluffy, sweet beignets. If you want that yummy treat in Disney World, you have to head all the way over to Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter…but not for much longer! Disney just dropped the foodie guide for Black History Month celebrations in the park, and on the list, we noticed something extra special — beignets are coming to Magic Kingdom! ©Disney From February 1st-March 1st, 2024, you’ll be able to order “Tiana’s Famous Beignets” at Golden Oak Outpost in Magic Kingdom. They’re described as “light, sweet, and fluffy beignets with strawberry dipping sauce.” Golden Oak Outpost According to the foodie guide, they’ll only be around for a limited time, but we’re really hoping they bring beignets permanently to Magic Kingdom with the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Frontierland later this year. Could this be a test to see how well the treat is received? We’ll just have to order as many as possible to convince them to stay! Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Note that this isn’t the first time we’ve ever seen beignets in Magic Kingdom — they were available for breakfast at Tomorrowland Terrace waaaayyy back in 2013! 14. We’re seeing quite a bit of construction in Disney World these days. So much construction! From massive makeover projects at the resorts to new restaurants to the addition of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom, there’s quite a bit to look forward to in 2024. But sometimes, construction projects can negatively impact your vacation. And that might be the case with one refurbishment in Magic Kingdom! Several days ago, the Frontierland restrooms near Big Thunder Mountain Railroad were closed due to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure construction. The restrooms are located in the exit queue for the ride that was formerly Splash Mountain. These restrooms JUST reopened on January 23rd, but now another set of facilities is out of commission! Under construction During a recent visit to Magic Kingdom, we noticed that the Pinocchio Village Haus restrooms are now closed! These bathrooms are located right next to the restaurant, serving both the dining location and a large section of Fantasyland. They’re closed! According to the sign on the construction walls, the bathrooms are under refurbishment. If you’re in need of nearby facilities, your best options will be the restrooms near Gaston’s Tavern, the Tangled-themed restrooms next to “it’s a small world,” or the restrooms next to Cheshire Cafe. Informational sign We’ll keep you updated if any other facilities go under refurbishment in Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB. We’ve got all the tips for navigating the parks! 15. We’re getting SO CLOSE to the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Disney World! Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Disney previously said this new ride would open in “late 2024,” but recent announcements have omitted the “late” language and just left “2024,” leaving us to think it could open sooner rather than later! Now, NEW merchandise themed to the ride has popped up in Disney World, which just gets us even more excited! On January 23rd, we spotted not one but TWO souvenirs that are themed to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure! The first is this new pin at Frontier Trading Post. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Pin The pin shows Tiana’s tiara on a purple pillow. The tiara is studded with green gems. The card inside the package has concept art pictures themed to Tiana’s story along with the logo for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. You can get it for $17.99. Frontier Trading Post The next item we spotted was this new popcorn bucket! On the part of the bucket that’s themed to Magic Kingdom, you’ll see Princess Tiana herself along with the water tower that’s located at the ride. See the water tower? Here’s a look at that water tower! Tiana’s Bayou Adventure This popcorn bucket costs $13 and is available at various popcorn stands throughout the parks. So far, we’ve seen it at Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. IT’S SO CUTE Disney has shared that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will pick up the story of The Princess and the Frog “after the final kiss,” and guests will “join Princess Tiana and Louis on a musical adventure – featuring some of the powerful music from the film – as they prepare for their first-ever Mardi Gras performance.” Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Concept Art ©Disney So, what exactly DOES happen “after the final kiss”? Well, when the film itself ends, Princess Tiana makes her dream come true when she opens her very own restaurant, Tiana’s Palace (just like the one that opened in Disneyland last year)! ©Disney The story of the attraction, as Disney shares, picks up during New Orleans’ Carnival season, and Tiana is hosting a Mardi Gras Party for the people of New Orleans — the community that has supported her successful restaurant. (The storyline is set about a year after the movie.) But Tiana realized that the party is missing a key ingredient and she needs help finding it! ©Disney Tiana’s Bayou Adventure concept art So visitors will join Tiana to help locate the missing ingredient! Disney Imagineers have shared that guests will be active participants coming along with Tiana on this adventure! “On Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, we’ll join Tiana and Louis on a trip to the bayou, where they meet all sorts of unexpected new friends who have a special role to play at the party.” Click here for more details about the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure ride! 16. Disney food has always been our obsession, but we have acquired a new fascination — McDonald’s Happy Meal toys. McDonald’s Happy Meal We collected tons of the Disney100 Happy Meal toys, grabbed a Squishmallow toy, and picked up a Kerwin Frost Box for a nuggie buddy! We have become fans of the red and yellow kids’ meals (because, you know, food), but even more fixated on the cute little toys that come in them. Now that the Squishmallow toys have left the boxes, what has replaced them?! We didn’t think they could make a Happy Meal toy cuter than the Squishmallows. The Hamburgler Squishmallow But it appears that McDonald’s might have done just that! The newest Happy Meal toy theme is “Adopt Me!” You can get one of six animal friends including a penguin, chipmunk, puppy, unicorn, lion, and dragon! ©McDonald’s Not only are these little guys adorable, they are customizable! When you open the box it comes in, you get a booklet, sticker sheet, info card, and the animal itself. ©McDonald’s You can use the stickers to decorate your new animal buddy AND you can open them up to spin their eyes around to pick different emotion eyes! He’s so stinking cute! ©McDonald’s Each of the animals comes with unique stickers and multiple eye options. You can make each one all your own! While we realize we’re adults, the videos on the McDonald’s Happy Meal website may have convinced us we need all six of them. ©McDonald’s We never know how long these fun toys will be around, so head to McDonald’s soon to start “adopting” your new toy pet! 17. Disney World is magical and awesome and all things good. Cinderella Castle But it’s also a place where some pretty disgusting things happen. Trust us, we’re in Disney World every single day, and there are a few super gross things that we bear witness to on the regular. We’re here to share with you those super gross things, just to give you something to think about the next time you choose to leave your hand sanitizer at home. Let’s talk about it! Here are 10 of the super disgusting things that happen in Disney World every single day. 1. Kids Spread Germs Here, There, and Everywhere Every day, we watch children sneeze, cough, chew on, spit on, and lick random things at Disney World. Dumbo Chains? Chomp. Handle bars? Cough. The calf of the person in front of you? Slurp. Yes. That happened to one of our team members. While it’s super awesome to see the little kiddos experiencing all Disney World has to offer, we always keep our hand sanitizer close by in case we do need to touch handrails or any other surface that might have lots of germs on it. 2. Code V A Code V is Cast Member language for when someone tosses their cookies. Yep, it’s vomit. Sunset Boulevard It happens every single day. Someone out there has hurled all over your favorite attraction and you don’t even know it. Luckily, Cast Members clean it up and sanitize everything, but it’s still not super fun to think about. 3. Code H A Code H is even worse. It’s Cast Member language for when someone poops on a ride. Or is changing a diaper and gets poo all over a surface. Slinky Dog Dash OR when a parent throws a dirty diaper into a ride queue. It’s hard to believe it, but this happens regularly enough that Cast Members needed a name for it. 4. 5-Second Rule Each day, we see grown adults utilize the five-second rule at Disney World. Don’t eat off the floor! Yep. We watch someone drop food and then pick it right back up and eat it. Listen, we know that the Disney World food is pricy, but please don’t eat off the ground. 5. Cooling Towel Mildew Let us give you some advice. When using cooling towels, you should really let them dry before you stuff them in your bag. Let them dry! Otherwise, you’ll walk around smelling like mildew. It’s not pleasant for those around you. We have to smell this smell every single day in the parks. Ugh! Bring a clip to attach the towel to your bag so it’s not stuffed inside, or you can bring along a Ziploc bag to keep that smell locked up tight. 6. PDA We see more PDA in Disney World than we did in high school, and that’s really saying something. Mickey and Minnie! PLEASE. Don’t make us all bear witness to your love and affection when we’re all just trying to get on Soarin’. 7. Making Anything and Everything a Changing Table Listen, folks. If you need to change your kid’s diaper, there are lots of changing tables available in the nearest restroom. There are also Baby Care Centers in each of the parks that’ll work as well! Changing Tables The quick service table, ride queue, and top of the trash can aren’t ideal places for a diaper change. Unfortunately, we see this happen all the time! 8. Barefoot Rainy Day Adventures Almost every time it rains, we see someone take off their shoes and go barefoot so that their shoes don’t get wet. Keep those shoes on, folks. This doesn’t affect us at all, so maybe we should mind our own business. But those poor feet! You’re gonna get the Mickey Mouse version of athlete’s foot. Poor unfortunate soles. 9. Trash Can Dining We’ll admit it. We’ve done this. But we didn’t like it. A prime dining spot for many Sometimes, you’ve gotta do what you’ve gotta do and use the top of a trash can as a table. When there aren’t any tables available close by, sometimes this seems like the only option! However, we don’t want to think about all the germs hanging out right next to our food. 10. Being Mean to Cast Members Sadly, one of the most common disgusting things we see is folks being mean to Cast Members. Cast Members creating magic How sad! These folks show up each and every day to help make vacations magical. Show some kindness and understanding! They’re human, too. Whew! That’s enough yuck for one post. We’ll be sure to keep you updated with more Disney news, so make sure to follow along for more so that you never miss a thing. Looking for more unfortunate things? 18. Disney just announced that a NEW quick service restaurant is coming to Downtown Disney: Tiendita. ©Disney The new eatery will be located at Disneyland Resort’s center for shopping and dining, and it’s a sister restaurant to Paseo and Céntrico (two other new restaurants coming soon). Here’s a quick look at EVERYTHING we know about this new spot! Location Tiendita is located at Downtown Disney in Disneyland Resort. It’ll be on the west side of Downtown Disney, in the same area where Paseo and Céntrico will be. Paseo and Centrico construction Paseo and Céntrico have taken over the space where Catal and UVA Bar used to be. Catal construction If you head to this spot now, you’ll see construction walls up around the building with announcements about the new restaurants! Menu The menu for Tiendita will be created by Michelin-starred Chef Carlos Gaytán (the same chef who’s creating the menus for Paseo and Céntrico). Chef Gaytán is from Mexico and plans to “offer guests a multi-sensory journey to the heart of [his] homeland.” ©Tzuco Tiendita will feature “Chef Gaytán’s Mexican heritage flavors on-the-go, with quick-service Mexican street-food staples.” Restaurant Style Tiendita is a quick-service restaurant, meaning you won’t be seated by a host or order your food from a server. Usually, at Disney’s quick-service restaurants, you order your food at a counter, pick it up, and then seat yourself. The concept art that Disney shared seems to show that counter. There’s a menu above it that says, “Order here, pick up inside.” It sounds like you’ll go up to that counter, order from the menu, and then go around back to the pick-up window that you can spot in the background. We don’t know yet whether seating will be available inside. ©Disney Paseo will be a full restaurant, with the dining room located upstairs. ©Disney Céntrico will be a courtyard bar and restaurant that offers a “high-end Mexican-inspired small plate menu” along with “tequila-based cocktails.” Opening Timeline Disney confirmed that Paseo and Céntrico will be opening in the Spring of 2024, so we are fairly certain that Tiendita will open around the same time. However, Tiendita was announced in January 2024, whereas Paseo and Céntrico were announced in April 2022, so it’s possible that the quick service location is on a delayed timeline. We’ll be watching for confirmation on this spot’s opening date! Downtown Disney We’re always on the lookout for Disney updates, especially about new restaurants like these ones! 19. Planning a visit to Disney World soon? There are LOTS of changes happening that might surprise you. Magic Kingdom Disney just rolled out a ton of park updates, there’s lots of construction happening at the hotels including Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and Splash Mountain is being transformed into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure! It’s a lot to keep up with and Disney isn’t stopping anytime soon! We’re taking another look at recently filed permits for Disney World to get an idea of what sort of work may be going on around the property — here’s what we found this time around. Magic Kingdom Good news, friends! We’ve got some movement on the Country Bear Jamboree retheme. The show will close on January 27th, 2024, for refurbishment, and it’ll reopen with the updated show this summer. And, we spotted a new permit for these changes! Country Bear Jamboree Disney Imagineering filed a Notice of Commencement with the description to “Install A/V equipment” at the attraction. While it doesn’t get any more specific than that, we do know the retheme will include new Disney songs along with some reinterpreted ones. Either way, we’ll be keeping an eye out for updates! REMINDER: A Classic Disney World Attraction Is CLOSING in ONE WEEK! Another Magic Kingdom permit was filed recently — but this one is for changes to the First Aid station! Magic Kingdom First Aid Center The work appears to be to “Provide labor, material, and/or electrical for construction.” We haven’t seen any changes over here just yet but we’ll update you if that changes! Animal Kingdom Over in Animal Kingdom, we spotted a new permit for the Harambe Theater, where the “Festival of the Lion King” is performed. Festival of the Lion King From what we can tell, this may be the beginning of an even bigger project based on the description of the permit. It was filed to provide labor, material, and/or electrical for construction — but we haven’t seen any of that hit the parks yet. We’ve Gotta Share Some Bad News About Disney’s Animal Kingdom Hollywood Studios Another Disney World theater is getting an update, but this time over in Hollywood Studios! At the end of 2024, we learned that “Voyage of the Little Mermaid” would be replaced with a NEW show — “The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure”. It looks like Disney is preparing to get started with these changes as two new permits have been filed for this theater. Voyage of the Little Mermaid The first is to “Provide labor, material, and/or electrical for construction,” while the second permit is for “General construction.” Unfortunately, that’s about as specific as these permits get and we’ll most likely just have to wait until we start seeing signs of changes! Learn More About the NEW Little Mermaid Show Here The Indiana Jones Theater could also soon see some construction according to a new permit that was filed. The description is to “Provide labor, material, and/or electrical for construction,” though we haven’t noticed any work being done in the parks just yet. Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular And finally, Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano might be getting a refresh! A general construction permit has been filed for this Italian eatery. Disney hasn’t made any sort of announcements about potential closures, but we’ll keep an eye out for updates. See Our Latest Review of Mama Melrose’s Here Stay tuned to DFB for the latest looks at changes coming to Disney World and more! 23. We’re getting closer and closer each day to the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Disney World! ©Disney While we still don’t have an official opening date, we do know the ride will open sometime this year. At first, Disney shared a “late 2024” projected date, but we have our suspicions the ride may be opening up sooner than we originally thought. In fact, Disney just revealed an important piece of information about the ride — let’s get into it! Disney World has updated the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure page on their website, and it has revealed an important piece of information about the ride — the height requirement! This was previously unknown, but now we can confirm that the ride will have the same restrictions that Splash Mountain did. Progress on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure According to the Disney World website, the height requirement for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will be 40 inches or 102 centimeters! This means older kiddos should have no problem riding with their parents. Little ones will have to stay behind until they meet that listed height! ©Disney This is just another sign that Tiana’s could be opening even sooner than Disney originally announced. The ride is projected to open in late 2024 in both Disney World and Disneyland — at least according to the original announcement. But, we’ve been seeing signs that Tiana’s could open even earlier than anticipated — at least in Disney World. But, in a recent blog post, Disney removed the word “late” and stated that the ride is just opening in 2024. With Disney typically being pretty specific about their use of language, we can’t help but think this may be a good sign. Look at the details! As far as the ride construction goes, well, we think we’ve spotted some good signs over there too. Disney recently started adding all the incredible and lush foliage to the exterior of the ride which we had previously seen in the concept art. It’s hard to tell there was ever even another ride here with how much they’ve added! Foliage and lanterns Stay tuned to DFB as we bring you more news about Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and the latest updates from Disney World! How Close Is Tiana’s Bayou Adventure to Opening? 25. Y’all, our wish has finally come true! Wish at Walt Disney Presents! To be honest, it’s one we didn’t even know that we had. We loved the music from Disney’s newest animated film Wish. It truly felt like it was a love letter to Disney’s Animation Studios and filled our hearts with so much joy. Well, Disney released something NEW from the film — and we have to talk about it. Disney shared a song that was deleted from Wish with USA Today. This song is complete with film animation, so as you listen to it, you can watch the actual scene from the film too — which we think is pretty cool. A poster for ‘Wish’! This song is titled “A Wish Worth Making” and is sung by the character Saba Sabino, who is voiced by Victor Garber. Click here to listen to the song. The scene takes place with Saba surrounded by his family, strumming his guitar and singing this heartfelt song. Hey, Asha! This song is all about what wishes are worth making, as the title implies. It is also filled with the idea of what people dream about and that no matter what your place is in this world, your dreams are worth dreaming. Wish! This song had us in our feels, but we loved every second of it. Take a listen to it here! ©Disney We’re on the lookout for Disney news all the time, so keep checking in with us to see what we find next! The 32(!!)
