  2. If you are planning a Disney World vacation for 2026, there are some rules you need to throw out the window. Cinderella Castle If you’ve been visiting Disney World for years, you probably have a mental list of “rules” that you swear by. Think those tried-and-true strategies that used to guarantee a smoother, more magical trip. But as Disney World continues to evolve, many of those long-standing rules just don’t work the same way in 2026. I’ll admit it — I am a very big planner, Type A personality. I used to be one of those people who lived by these Disney rules, and I resist change. I was the one setting an alarm for 5:55 AM exactly 60 days before my trip, laptop open, heart racing, ready to snag that California Grill dinner reservation before anyone else could. And while that kind of planning used to be essential, I’ve learned that things have changed, and honestly, it’s made my Disney trips a lot less stressful. So let’s talk about a few old-school Disney rules that no longer hold up in 2026 (and what you can do instead). Firework View from California Grill 1. You “Need” Lightning Lane Every Day Once upon a time, Lightning Lane was the holy grail of time-saving tools, and if you didn’t buy it, you were doomed to spend your day in standby lines. But with 2026 around the corner, things are looking a bit different. I’m not saying you need to throw Lightning Lane out the window. I am saying your trip will not be ruined if you don’t want to buy it every day! In 2026, there are not only fewer rides available for Lightning Lane access this year, but when there are lower crowd levels, it doesn’t always justify the cost. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure In 2026, we will have Dinosaur, Big Thunder Mountain, Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin, Rock’n’Roller Coaster, and a few others down for refurbishment. This means there are fewer rides to help you get the bang for your buck with the Lightning Lane Multi Pass. 3 Magic Kingdom Rides Are Changing in 2026 Big Thunder Mountain Railroad If you want to save some money, consider skipping the Multi Pass and buying just a Single Lightning Lane for the one must-do attraction of the day. For everything else, plan smart: Rope drop (if you’re up for it), stay until park close, or ride during parades and fireworks when lines dip. If you are staying at a Disney resort, take advantage of Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours. We’ve done full Disney days without Lightning Lane at all and still managed to ride a ton of rides. It just takes flexibility and good timing. Now, if you are traveling during peak times like around a holiday or a runDisney race weekend, you might want to grab those Lightning Lanes because that is when the parks will be crowded. You’ll Get MORE Time in the Parks Now! 2. You HAVE to Book Dining Reservations 60 Days in Advance This used to be the biggest stress point of any Disney trip — that infamous 60-day mark when you had to wake up before sunrise, coffee in hand, to secure your favorite restaurant. And while snagging a reservation is still the safest bet (especially during the holidays or if you’re after spots like Cinderella’s Royal Table or Space 220), it’s not the end of the world if you don’t get one right away. Let me explain. Want to dine at Cinderella’s Royal Table? Make reservations 60 days in advance. The My Disney Experience app now makes it much easier to find dining options, even last minute. You can use the Reservation Finder tool or check the Walk-Up Waitlist, which can often get you a table at the same restaurants that were “fully booked” weeks ago. Plus, don’t sleep on Disney’s lounges as many share the same menus as the full-service restaurants, without the need for a reservation. Crew’s Cup Personally, I’ve started taking a more relaxed approach. If I can’t get the exact time I want for Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ or California Grill, I check back every few days leading up to my trip, and more often than not, something opens up. So yes, advance reservations are still ideal, but the pressure to get them immediately? If you’re OK with taking a little risk, that rule doesn’t fly anymore. Thigh High Chicken Biscuits at Homecomin’ 3. You Have to Rope Drop Rope dropping has long been a Disney fan tradition. But in 2026, this rule isn’t quite as essential as it once was. With fewer rides open in 2026, getting there at sunrise isn’t always worth it, especially if you are utilizing Lightning Lane. Instead, consider flipping the script: Arrive mid-morning, enjoy a leisurely breakfast, and stay through park close. You’ll often find that crowds thin out in the evening, and you can experience just as many rides with a lot more sleep. Of course, if you’re an early riser or want to hit that one ride first thing, rope drop can still be helpful, but it’s no longer a must-do rule for every day of your trip. Rope Drop crowds! 4. Good Food Is Only Found at Table Service Restaurants This might be the biggest myth of them all. For years, the belief was that the best Disney food came with a reservation, a server, and a long meal, but that’s just not true anymore. Today, quick-service dining has seriously leveled up. From creative flavor combinations to better ingredients, Disney has made a clear effort to make fast meals just as satisfying as sit-down ones. Sweet Chili Aioli Chicken Strips Just look at the recent new chicken tenders that Disney added to menus all across property. These are delicious, fast, and affordable. Not to mention the standout options like Columbia Harbour House, Satu’li Canteen, and ABC Commissary, and you’ve got some of the best, affordable meals on property with no reservation required. If you want to stick to a budget, quick service still has some great options. 3. Listen, our trips to Disney World are always magical to be sure, but has everything always gone according to plan? Not even close. Magic Kingdom crowds If you’re like me, I’m sure you’ve had your fair share of missed reservations, or super duper long lines, and the occasional treat that just had to dive out of our hands right to the ground. Thinking about all that, have you ever had one of those premonitions that basically spell trouble for your Disney World trip? Well, we reached out to you to get your thoughts. We reached out to our followers on Facebook to ask: “What’s one sign that spells TROUBLE for a Disney World trip?” We had quite a few people leave their opinions in the comments! What do you think? If you’re interested in sharing your thoughts on this, or any other Disney or travel-related topic, follow us on the DFB Facebook to join in on the next conversation! Now, let’s dive into some of your responses! Everything, Everywhere, All at Once First up, we’ve got our reader Rachel who shared, “The Expectation to See/Do It All ” I think we’re all pretty guilty of this one. If you’ve booked a Disney World trip, you probably have a massive list of must-sees, must-eats, and must-dos, and you’re ready to maximize every minute. But here’s the deal: Disney World is HUGE. The reality of it is that if you plan on hitting every single attraction, restaurant, parade, and photo op, you’re setting yourself up for massive disappointment and some very sore feet. Festival of Fantasy Just like Rachel pointed out, the expectation to do it all is like a fast track to burnout. We highly recommend that you choose a few top priorities, enjoy the magical surprises along the way, and maybe even sneak in some downtime. Disney World is all about making memories, not checking off a to-do list. These Disney Adult Magic Kingdom Hacks Are Getting Out of Control It’s All About the Mugs Next, we’ve got Jim who shared, “They Ran Out of the Drink Refillable Mugs! (Sandy… don’t unpack the bags… we’re going home!)” Just in case you are clueless as to what Jim is talking about, you should know that refillable mugs at Disney World are practically iconic. Refillable Mug These aren’t just any travel mug. They’re your lifeline to hydration and a way to keep those long days in the park a little more refreshing. So, imagine the devastation when they’re out of stock. So, we can totally understand if this is a full-stop red flag for you. We get it. Alternatively, you could make sure to bring a reliable backup so no one has to go parched or heartbroken! 3 Disney World Refillable Mug Rules You Should Break Sharing is…Caring?? Next, Dan has this one for us: “Sick Children Sharing Your Transportation” Now, if you’ve ever been packed into Disney transportation with a coughing little one, you know it can feel like a pretty ominous sign of what’s to come. All of those crowded monorails, buses, and boats mean you’re going to be much closer to your fellow travelers than you might want, especially during cold and flu season. Crowds boarding the bus at the TTC To Dan’s point, none of us want to spend our trip nursing a cold or worse. Thinking proactively, you may want to carry hand sanitizer, consider bringing some disinfectant wipes, and maybe take the long, distance-friendly paths in mind for your mid-afternoon strolls at Disney World. The Strict Transportation Rule Disney Is Enforcing This Winter Is That a Tickle in the Back of my Throat? On the same topic, Mark shared, “My Throat Feels Scratchy…” This one feels like it’s the ultimate “don’t unpack the bags” moment because it might mean a cold is lurking around the corner. Where you should be if you are sick! Whether it’s from all the late night fun at the parks, a touch of exhaustion, or just plain bad luck, feeling under the weather is a sure way to miss out on park time. Make sure you hydrate, rest up, and pack some immunity-boosting essentials just in case. At Disney World, a little self-care can go a long way! However, if you do find yourself feeling sick – or requiring any other kind of medical attention – here’s what you NEED to do at Disney World. Download AdventHealth’s official app and contact AdventHealth’s Care Concierge to help make arrangements for your family’s health needs, including equipment rentals, referrals, and more. The service offers both in-room and telehealth visits. AdventHealth Guest Health Care Services ©Disney In addition, each park and the water parks feature First Aid locations that are open during normal park operating hours to offer over-the-counter medications, bandages and other quick remedies. EPCOT First Aid 19 Critical Dates for Disney World Fans in 2026 Parting is Such Sweet Sorrow Next, Joanne shared, “The ‘See You Real Soon’ Sign When You Are Leaving…So Much Sadness ”. We feel you Joanne. There’s nothing quite like the way Disney’s “See You Real Soon” sign pulls on your heartstrings. See you real soon! It’s a signal that the magic is over, and the reality of post-Disney blues is hitting hard. After days of magical sights, sounds, and snacks, saying goodbye is just plain tough. Destination: Disney World! Flying To and From Orlando International Airport (MCO) How Many Are In Your Party? Next up, Jennifer shared this one with the group: “Too Many People in Your Travel Group” As fun as big family trips can be, coordinating the schedules, desires, and energy levels of a large group can be tricky. SO many people! I think we all know the struggle of having too many voices in the mix. When every decision from lunch spots to ride choices becomes a group debate, it’s easy for stress levels to rise and fun levels to dip. A tip that we try to follow is to break into smaller groups for part of the day, and meet up later. Disney World is way more manageable (and magical!) in smaller doses. My Flight Attendant Friend Tells Me to Never Forget These 6 Crucial Items When I Travel Looks Like There’s a Storm a Coming Next, we’ve got this one that Heather pointed out: “A Hurricane” in Florida, the only thing more certain than humidity is the chance of a storm, especially during hurricane season. A hurricane warning can be a massive damper on the best-laid plans. Cinderella Castle during Hurricane Helene Disney has protocols in place for these situations, but weather-related worries are always tough to manage. Always make sure to keep an eye on the forecast, especially if you’re visiting from June to November. Also, be ready to switch up plans and pack rain gear just in case. 3 Magic Kingdom Rides Are Changing in 2026; What’s Next? Where to Eat? Last, but not least, Kristin shared this one: “All the Restaurants Are Booked!” Can you imagine that after a long day of rides, you’re starving, and every single restaurant you want to try is fully booked? Cue the sad Disney music. Look for this Walk-Up Waitlist sign! This one could be one of those panic situations. It’s not that food options aren’t plentiful. It’s just that all the good spots fill up fast. So this doesn’t happen to you, try to make your dining reservations as early as possible, or even consider quick-service options! 5. If you’re heading to Disneyland anytime soon, you may want to consider this skip-the-line option… if it’s not going to break the bank. Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland That’s right, you can skip the lines on almost every ride in Disneyland — if you buy a Lightning Lane Premier Pass. But these things don’t come cheap, so is it worth it? We tried it, and we’re here to tell you exactly how it went! Lightning Lane Premier Pass is a “luxury” service where you can pay to access EVERY Lightning Lane for rides in Disneyland and Disney California Adventure for one day. Once you purchase it, you get to use each ride’s Lightning Lane once, including every ride listed for Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass. ©Disney However, the biggest difference between Lightning Lane Premier Pass and Multi Pass and Single Pass is that you don’t have to make a timed selection for each ride. You can just get in each Lightning Lane whenever you want. The service also includes unlimited PhotoPass downloads and PhotoPass Lenses. ©Disney The price of Disneyland’s Premier Pass varies by date, but is generally in the $300 to $400 per person per day range. So it’s time to ask: Is Disneyland’s Lightning Lake Premier Pass worth it? It’s Worth the Cost if… First of all, this service might be worth it for your group if you’re okay with paying extra for convenience. It’s $400 per person, but with that cost, you won’t have to book Lightning Lanes all day, run back and forth across the park, or fight with scheduling conflicts like dining reservations. Lightning Lane entrance for Matterhorn Also, this might be worth the cost if you were planning on paying for a VIP tour but only wanted to do it for the Lightning Lane access. As part of a VIP tour, a Disney Cast Member will escort you through Lightning Lane queues for whichever attractions you’d like to enjoy, but you also get backstage access and other perks. If the only perk that you care about is minimal wait times, then this could be significantly cheaper than a VIP tour. Lightning Lane for Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin Another person who may want Lightning Lane Premier Pass? Someone who only has ONE day in Disneyland Resort. If you’re park hopping to both Disneyland and California Adventure and it’s your goal to get as much done as possible, this is probably the most efficient way to accomplish that goal. Lightning Lane Premier Pass at Disneyland Resort includes access to all the Lightning Lanes in both parks on the same day. Lightning Lane Entrance Basically, if you’re trying to be incredibly speedy about accomplishing as many attractions as possible, then this service could be for you…as long as you have the budget! It’s Not Worth the Cost if… Now it’s time to fight for the other side of the coin. Obviously, the first point is that this service is NOT for you if you’re heading to Disneyland Resort on a budget. You’ll save a lot of money by just purchasing Lightning Lane Multi Pass or Lightning Lane Single Pass each day. Sure, you’ll have to schedule your return times yourself, but it might be worth it to literally save HUNDREDS. Lightning Lane at Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway If you’re going to be in Disneyland Resort for multiple days, this service probably isn’t for you. Those who have 4-day or 5-day vacations can likely get everything done that they want to accomplish in the parks during that time, without paying extra to skip the lines. Especially if you make use of Multi Pass in the place of Premier Pass. Lightning Lane Entrance And to counter an argument from the first point, you probably don’t want to shell out the $$$ for Premier Pass if you’re not using park hopper tickets. The $400 cost includes access to 22 Lightning Lanes across both parks, and if you’re not park hopping, then you don’t get the full value for the day. Don’t waste your cash! California Adventure Last but not least, we’ll probably not recommend Lightning Lane Premier Pass as much for a family with mostly or only small children. Most of the rides that have longer waits and offer Lightning Lane are those that have height requirements. If you’re going to Disneyland Resort with your baby or toddler, you may not get the same value out of this service because you’ll only be able to use a select number of Lightning Lanes throughout the day. Radiator Springs at Disney California Adventure So there you have it — our breakdown of who should and shouldn’t pay for Lightning Lane Premier Pass in Disneyland Resort. Stay tuned to DFB for more information about this new system, as well as all the updates once it lands in Disney World. 6. Walt Disney World is called the “Most Magical Place on Earth” for a reason. Over the last 50 years, the resort has become one of the world’s most beloved vacation destinations in the world. However, that doesn’t mean planning a trip there is always easy. It’s that time of year! That begins when you’re trying to choose WHEN to go to Walt Disney World. Some times of year are way busier than others, and they’re not always the seasons you may think, nor are they the ones they used to be, for that matter. We reached out to our followers on Facebook to ask: “Which month of the year would you NEVER consider taking a trip to Disney World?” We had quite a few people leave their opinions in the comments! What do you think? If you’re interested in sharing your thoughts on this, or any other Disney or travel-related topic, follow us on the DFB Facebook Page to join in on the next conversation! Now, let’s dive into some of your responses! August: The Ultimate No-Go (153 Mentions) First up, coming in at the top of the list, and by a huge margin, is August. Seriously, this month got a whopping 153 mentions from you, and your reasons are clear: unbearable heat, peak hurricane season, and general discomfort that makes even the magic of Disney hard to enjoy. Magic Kingdom Summer Crowds in August 2022 DFB reader LaKisha had a particularly wild story, saying, “August!! Never again!! Did it twice & almost met Hurricane Elsa & Hurricane Isaac. Trust me I have learned!! Elsa was the closest to almost hit the park in which scared me senseless!! She did an about face but the rain & wind was wicked!!” And it’s not just hurricanes you’ve got to worry about. Damon shared, “I would have to think really hard about going in August again. I’ve done it a few times but the last time I nearly passed out in the heat at Animal Kingdom.” James, who used to defend August trips, has since changed his tune with, “I used to tell people to NOT be afraid of going in August. ‘With proper planning and preparation, you can still have a great time,’ I’d say. But….after my trip in August 2023 when they were breaking record highs the whole week I was there….I’m done trying to go in the summer months, specifically August. Just wayyyyy too hot. Plus, hurricanes. I’ll just wait until November or December.” 19 Critical Dates for Disney World Fans in 2026 July: Still Sweltering (137 Mentions) Next up and not far behind August is July, with 137 of you waving the red flag on this month. If you thought August was bad, July doesn’t offer much relief. The only upside? You’re slightly earlier in hurricane season. Magic Kingdom July 4th, 2023 Dee Ann summed it up perfectly with “July! My last trip was July and it was unbearable.” Heather echoed this sentiment, saying, “Did it once in July and will never ever do it again.” Short and sweet. She’s not messing around. These Disney Adult Magic Kingdom Hacks Are Getting Out of Control June: A Hot Mess (52 Mentions) Next up, June takes third place with 52 mentions. While it’s not quite as brutal as July and August, it still brings the heat (literally) and humidity that has left many of you swearing off summer Disney trips altogether. Fantasyland in June DFB reader David joked, “June. Did that last year and almost melted. ” And honestly, melting doesn’t sound like the best way to spend a magical vacation. Mitch added, “June was miserable. The heat and humidity were unbearable.” A theme we’re seeing over and over again. So keep in mind that when Disney is hot, it’s hot. 4 Rules You’re Accidentally Breaking in EPCOT September: Not as Bad, but Still Pretty Rough (35 Mentions) September didn’t get quite as many mentions, but 35 of you still felt the need to call it out as a month to avoid. Even though the crowds start to thin out post-summer, the weather can still be pretty miserable, and let’s not forget it’s still prime hurricane season. Magic Kingdom during Hurricane Helene in September 2024. Ron gave us a mixed review with, “September is pushing it — the weather was still miserably hot and sticky when we went in September 2020 and it’s still hurricane season. But at least it’s not also insanely crowded season (just crowded season).” So, maybe September isn’t the absolute worst, but it’s still not a fan favorite. 3 Disney’s Hollywood Studios Rides We’re Getting Worried About May: Sneaky Hot (18 Mentions) Now, May isn’t the first month that comes to mind when you think “Disney World at its hottest,” but 18 of you made sure to mention that this month can be sneaky with its heat. Things start to get HOT in May Terri had an unforgettable experience: “We’ve only done May and I can safely say I wouldn’t do May again! The heat was mental, hotter than usual apparently, but there’s no way I could handle that again.” It seems like May is one of those months where you might expect mild weather, but you could still be hit with intense heat. Definitely some food for thought. These Disney Adult Animal Kingdom Hacks Are Getting Out of Control December: Crowds, Cold, and Chaos (17 Mentions) Lastly (for this list), December, which is a month many associate with holiday magic, made its way onto the list with 17 mentions. Why? Crowds, extreme costs, and unpredictable weather. We understand that it’s difficult to avoid people when the park looks like this! Kristie shared, “December… it was bloody freezing ”. Rachel added, “December. Been there done that like 4x. It’s busy, it’s way too crowded. Wait times are disgusting and it’s the most expensive.” So, while the festive decorations are stunning, the stress of navigating those massive holiday crowds and unexpectedly cold weather, might make you reconsider a Christmas-time trip. 8. It is not a trip to a Disney World park without getting at least a snack or two (or more!). We are slightly obsessed with Disney food — alright, more than slightly…more like completely obsessed. But for a good reason! A trip to Disney World is not cheap, and we want to make sure you are spending your hard-earned money on the best of the best. Strawberry-Lemon Cheesecake from ABC Commissary We are constantly trying new food items and revisiting others to ensure we are providing you with the best advice. Just because we liked a certain Disney World snack a year ago doesn’t mean it is the same and still as good today. That is why we are always grabbing food and giving you our thoughts. We know, we know, it’s a tough job when you are snacking for work When we were at Disney’s Hollywood Studios recently, we revisited two snacks and are giving you our full reviews. We are going to start with the more disappointing snack. Starting with the bad news, and ending with the good news! We headed over to Catalina Eddie’s for the Garlic Bread with Marinara, which costs $7.49. The side comes with three slices of garlic bread and a cup of marinara. There was nothing awful about this snack, but it didn’t knock our socks off either. It is a middle-of-the-road snack that would hit the spot if you have a particular craving for garlic bread. Garlic Bread with Marinara The marinara was very chunky and thick, but it tasted like a classic marinara sauce. Nothing special, but it gets the job done. We had a similar sentiment with the bread. It was tasty enough, but this isn’t a snack that we recommend going out of your way for. The garlic bread is like the Texas toast garlic bread you can buy in the grocery store and heat up in your own oven. No need to go all the way to Disney World to try! Garlic Bread Next, we stopped by ABC Commissary to grab the Strawberry-Lemon Cheesecake for $5.79. We already spoiled the verdict on this treat earlier, but we really enjoyed this dessert! Not only does it look really pretty, but it also tastes great. It has a zesty lemony flavor in the thick, yet creamy cheesecake. Then you get a taste of fruity and sweet strawberry from the whipped cream topping. Strawberry-Lemon Cheesecake The dessert is pretty rich, and we really enjoyed the tangy lemon flavor complemented by the sweet, berry flavors. Since it is pulled straight from the refrigerator, we recommend consuming it fairly quickly after you purchase it. We thought it tasted even better after sitting out for a bit, as it was softer and creamier. However, you won’t want to carry this around with you in the park and expect it to taste good later in the day. Strawberry-Lemon Cheesecake This dessert is definitely one of our favorites right now in Disney’s Hollywood Studios! We may not be rushing back for the Garlic Bread, but we will be back for the Strawberry-Lemon Cheesecake. Make sure you stay tuned to DFB for even more Disney World food reviews! 9. When it comes to dining at Disney World, you’ve got a TON of options. Want something quick and easy? You’ve got it. Something middle-of-the-road and comforting? Yep, that too. And if you’re looking for something upscale and luxurious, you can find that as well. Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe We recently stopped by Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe at Magic Kingdom for lunch, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. Is it worth a stop on your next trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth? Find out here! We stopped by Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe in Magic Kingdom’s Frontierland for lunch recently and picked up the Plant-Based Rice Bowl, which is available for $12.99. This is made with Impossible® Meatballs in red chili-tomato sauce, pinto beans, cilantro-lime rice, roasted corn and black bean salsa, and lime “crema”. This is like the other rice bowls available here, only with plant-based protein and ingredients! Plant-Based Rice Bowl We were shocked by how much we liked this, especially because our reporter, who tried it, doesn’t even eat a plant-based diet regularly. The chili-tomato sauce was like a cross between a salsa and a hot sauce, and there was a bit of a kick to it, so keep that in mind if you’re averse to spice! The cilantro-lime rice was flavorful and not too mushy, which can sometimes happen with mass-produced rice. We really loved the flavor of the roasted corn and black bean salsa — it added a nice smoky, charred flavor to the mix. The pinto beans were cooked well and had a tomato-forward flavor that added to the dish as well. Lots of corn The Impossible® Meatballs were excellent — if we didn’t know any better, we’d have thought they were meat! They had a firm texture that was still soft, and when paired with the chili-tomato sauce, we really enjoyed them. The lime “crema” added a nice citrusy aspect to the dish, along with a bit of creamy coolness to help with the acidity and overall spice. Even if you’re not a plant-based eater, we think it’d be hard to go wrong with this one! Impossible Meatballs And, if you are a plant-based eater, you need to add this to your list of dishes to try at Magic Kingdom! In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant updates from Disney World and beyond. Make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more! 10. Psst. We’re at ‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. For those who are new here, hi, we’re Disney Food Blog, and we talk about Disney food. A lot of it. We also check in on Disney restaurants every so often to see if the food is still worth recommending. Now, some Disney World restaurants have reached ICON status and make the “must-visit” lists for any new Disney visitor. But it’s our job to make sure they still deserve a spot on that “must-visit” list! ‘Ohana bread pudding ‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has that kind of reputation, although — let’s face it — this restaurant has changed a lot over the past five years. But has it changed so much that it no longer deserves its “must-visit” status? Well, let’s go find out! Atmosphere You’ll find ‘Ohana on the second floor of the Polynesian Resort’s lobby. ‘Ohana The restaurant is just one gigantic dining room with tables and chairs. There are also huge windows along one wall. We recommend that you consider booking a late dinner starting around 30 minutes prior to the Magic Kingdom fireworks — there’s a fantastic view from ‘Ohana, and the musical score that accompanies the show is piped into the restaurant! The theme is cozy, tropical, and they even have a live ukulele player! Inside ‘Ohana This glassed-in restaurant at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, punctuated by a huge cooking fire in the center, is known for its Hawaiian-style “churrascaria”-type service for dinner. Table setting But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?! Menu Now, many of us, myself included, remember when ‘Ohana used to offer a Brazilian-style service where skewers of meat were literally brought to your table. That’s gone now, but the dinner is still an all-you-care-to-eat, family-style meal. The price for dinner is $67 per adult and $44 per child (note that’s without tax and gratuity). The food is Polynesian-inspired, with big portions. Dinner includes bread, a salad, a dinner skillet, and that famous ‘Ohana Bread Pudding. ©Disney A plant-based version of the meal is also available. ©Disney Beverages include non-alcoholic specialties, coffee… ©Disney …and specialty cocktails. A selection of beers and wines is also available. ©Disney And now, onto the main event — the food! Eats We tried both the regular and plant-based versions of the menu. Let’s start with the bread. The Signature ‘Ohana Bread is served with Honey Butter. It’s a pineapple bread, but it’s not super sweet. The texture was a little dry, but the flavor was great. The honey butter had a richness and moisture that balanced the dryness of the bread. It’s a unique way to start the meal, that’s for sure! ‘Ohana Signature Bread The plant-based option for the bread service is vegan Rolls with vegan butter, a plant-based butter. The rolls were a little dry, but sweet, and the butter helps with the dryness. It’s nothing really like the regular bread, though, so we wish Disney had tried a little harder to do a vegan version of the signature bread. Vegan rolls and butter The regular salad is the Mixed Greens Salad with Citrus Vinaigrette. The salad also comes with tomato, cucumber, and shredded bell pepper. The dressing was tangy and light, while the veggies were fresh. There’s a slight sweetness that is very refreshing between heavier dishes. Mixed Greens Salad The ‘Ohana Dinner Skillet comes with Pork Dumplings tossed in Garlic-Chili Sauce, Honey-Coriander Chicken Wings, Wood Fire-grilled Black Pepper-Teriyaki Beef, Peel-n-Eat Shrimp coated with ‘Ohana Seasoning, Grilled Chicken with Guava-Pineapple Glaze, ‘Ohana Noodles with Teriyaki, and Stir-fry Vegetables. We started with the pork dumplings, chicken wings, veggies, and noodles. Dinner skillet The dumplings were sticky, sweet, and salty, for a nice savory balance of flavors. Note, you can also get these at Tambu Lounge. The chicken wings also had a sticky, sweet, and savory glaze with a lightly battered texture. The meat was very tender and juicy. We really like these. The current mix of veggies includes baby corn and water chestnuts. We thought they were a little overcooked and seasoned like everything else, so we were not super impressed. The noodles, though, always satisfy. They have that familiar caramelized teriyaki flavor that ties the meal together. A closer look The Wood Fire-grilled Black Pepper-Teriyaki Beef was a bit disappointing. Although they had a nice smoky and peppery flavor, they were chewy and dry. Wood-fire grilled teriyaki beef The Peel-n-Eat Shrimp were large, well-cooked, and NOT chewy (that’s a good thing). They had a nice savory seasoning, but they were a little messy to eat. Shrimp The Grilled Chicken with Guava-Pineapple Glaze had a heavy smoke aroma and flavor. They were super tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The glaze added a nice, sweet, and fruity tropical twist. Grilled chicken The Plant-Based Dinner Skillet comes with ‘Ohana Noodles with Teriyaki, Stir-fry Vegetables, and Edamame Dumplings tossed in Garlic-Chili Sauce, Guava-Pineapple Glazed “Chicken,” Plant-based Sausage, and Black Pepper-Teriyaki Plant-based Beef and Broccoli. Let’s start with the noodles, stir-fry vegetables, and edamame dumplings. Plant-based dinner skillet The noodles are the same as those in the regular skillet. This is one of those items that is consistently good here. The stir-fry vegetables were also solid, and we ate more than we expected! The texture was great, and they balanced the rest of the skillet well. The edamame dumplings were new to us, and we’re now happy to say that we are big fans. They had actual pieces of edamame inside (it’s not like a puréed filling), and the taste was light and fresh with a nice bite of garlic chili. The “beef” and broccoli were also sweet and balanced with a nice texture. We’re pretty happy with the plant-based options here. Closer look The “chicken” was surprisingly tasty with a nice teriyaki flavor. We’re not usually big fans of fake meats, but Disney nailed it here. The plant-based sausage is the same you can get all over Disney World, but here it was cooked well (you get that perfect snappy bite) and had a nice sweetness. Plant-based meats For dessert, there’s the classic ‘Ohana Bread Pudding…you know it, you love it. It’s served à la mode with Homemade Caramel Sauce. This is the main reason we come here… no lie. That warm, soft, pineapple bread pudding with caramel drizzle and ice cream? Well, it hits right every single time. You get the perfect portion size, too, so you’re not overloaded on sweetness at the end of the meal. ‘Ohana bread pudding The vegan option is the Bread Pudding with Soy-based Frozen Dessert. We were a little taken aback by the soy-based frozen dessert, but y’all, it worked. This is another solid plant-based option, and a great way to end the meal. Plant-Based bread pudding So, should you make a reservation for ‘Ohana? Nosh or Not This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if… You’re vegan. We were genuinely surprised by the vegan meal here, and the quality was incredible. You’ve got a big appetite. This is an all-you-care-to-eat meal, and you’ll want to arrive good and hungry if you book a meal here. Want a nice table service meal with a view. ‘Ohana is a great spot for special occasions when you want a nice, relaxed sit-down meal that also includes a view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks. You should skip this Disney World spot if… You’re on a budget. This isn’t a cheap meal, and we could recommend a few other restaurants that offer similar food for less. Plus, you can get some of these items at Tambu Lounge, too. You want to experience the old ‘Ohana experience. After 2020, ‘Ohana changed, as did its service. You no longer get skewers of meat brought to your table like before, and if you want that old experience, it’s gone. You want a lighter meal. Like we said, there’s a lot of food here, and if you’re just looking for a small bite to eat, you’d probably be wasting your money here. Overall We’ll be honest…before 2020, ‘Ohana was always a “must-do,” but things changed when Disney World reopened. One thing we’ve noticed is that the restaurant isn’t as consistently good as it once was. The food is still flavorful, fresh, and well-prepared, but, as we said, we’ve noticed some inconsistencies from meal to meal. Then you’re also paying a pretty penny for the experience. If it’s just the idea of this kind of tropical food vibe you want, you can get something similar for about half the price at Sebastian’s Bistro at Disney’s Caribbean Resort, right down to the bread pudding. So, does it still belong on your “must-do” list? We’d say YES! From the bread pudding to the classic ‘Ohana noodles, the classics here did not disappoint (even after our millionth visit). In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant updates from Disney World and beyond. Make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more! 11. ABC, ESPN, and other Disney-owned channels could be dropped for YouTube TV subscribers at the end of the month. According to CNBC, Disney and Google, the parent company of YouTube TV, have not yet reached an agreement to continue service for Disney’s programming. The current distribution agreement expires on October 30th at 11:59 PM ET. If the two companies have not reached an agreement by then, YouTube TV subscribers will see ABC and ESPN go dark. ©ESPN So far, the two companies have not been able to reach terms agreeable to both. Disney recently began running public announcements on YouTube TV about the potential disruption, which would include losing access to ESPN, ABC, and marquee programming like NFL, college football, NBA, and NHL. YouTube TV has already stated that if the programming “remains unavailable for an extended period of time,” they will offer subscribers a $20 credit. With only a few days left before the previous agreement expires, we hope they can reach an agreement soon. YouTube TV wants better rates for Disney’s programming, as it currently has about 10 million subscribers. An Official YouTube blog post said that YouTube has “been working in good faith to negotiate a deal with Disney that pays [Disney] fairly for their content on YouTube TV. Unfortunately, Disney is proposing costly economic terms that would raise prices on YouTube TV customers and give [YouTube TV] customers fewer choices, while benefiting Disney’s own live TV products – like Hulu + Live TV and, soon, Fubo.” ©YouTube TV In addition to ESPN and ABC, if an agreement isn’t made in time, YouTube TV subscribers could also lose access to channels such as Disney Channel, Disney Junior, Freeform, FX, Nat Geo, SEC Network, and more. We will continue to stay tuned to see if an agreement can be reached before October 30th at 11:59 PM ET. ©Disney Recently, Disney has also raised prices on its streaming services as of October 21st, 2025. This included price hikes for Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Select, and select bundles. Most of the services saw a price increase between $2 to $3 per month. ©Disney Stay tuned to DFB for all your Disney news! 13. We will be the first ones to admit to you that we’ve easily been influenced by many of the “essentials” we see for Disney Adults. That’s who we are, so we’re not here to argue when fellow Disney fans tell us what we need! Instant Digital Camera Well, we might not question them, but there are some “essentials” we’ve tried out that we’ve then realized we 100% don’t need, BUT, at the same time…who are we to define the word “need?” Sometimes you don’t NEED a sweet treat, but after a rough day, or a day where everything has gone right, it kinda feels like a necessity, right? With that said, here are four products that, yeah, if you REALLY wanted to argue, you may not “need…” but also, maybe you kinda do. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. No Soggy Socks Ever Again Silicone Waterproof Shoe Covers Are soggy shoes the end of the world in Disney World? No, not at all, but it FEELS LIKE IT. Especially when you’re at risk of developing blisters that could then cause you some pretty intense pain over the rest of your trip. That’s where the Silicone Waterproof Shoe Covers come in. These were 100% something we kinda laughed at at first, thinking they were totally not worth it, and then when we walked through a downpour in them and our socks and shoes stayed dry? Yeah, we got spoiled and now realize what it feels like to live like royalty (…for $17). Why have soggy, gross, uncomfortable shoes and socks when you could, you know, not? Check it out here! All the AC You Need Without Needing to Go Inside AMKEN Waist Fan The number of fans we’ve tried out in Disney World is pretty astronomical, to be honest with you, and while we often find lots that are just fine, or sure, they do they’re job, we’re rarely taken aback by one that REALLY works well. That all changed when we tried this AMKEN Waist Fan, because WOW, is this thing powerful. We found it most helpful when we clipped it onto shorts and had it blowing up our back all day to keep us cool, and as long as you won’t be annoyed by the slight excess weight and the sound of it running, this thing is totally worth it to stay cool. Especially if you’re someone who sweats a lot or just hates the FEELING of sweat (it’s me — I’m that person; I can’t stand it), this is totally a necessity. Sure, could you survive Disney World in the summer without it? We guess, but do you want to be hot and miserable on your vacation or have some relief? Check it out here! Save Yourself the Back Pain VentaPak Speaking of sweat, have you ever taken off your backpack in Disney World only to feel a sweat patch the size of Seven Seas Lagoon on your back? Yeah, we’ve been there too — NOT fun, not cute, and just not comfortable. Not to mention that if you’re someone who has to carry around a large backpack for any reason, or a person who suffers from back pain, the VentaPak is totally for you. It helps distribute the weight of your bag to avoid back pain (and that’s not something you want to deal with on your trip, trust us), and you’ll get some nice airflow in between the bag and your back to avoid that sweat. Check it out here! Instant Cameras Never Go Out of Style Yehtta Instant Digital Camera Sure, we have cell phones now that can take phenomenal pictures in daylight and at nighttime, but we talk about missing our childhoods all the time, especially in Disney World. You know what the best way to bring back some of that nostalgia is? An Instant Camera, absolutely! (Oh, were you thinking something different, like bringing back Horizons? Well, we agree, but the moment we rub a lamp and get three wishes, that’s first on our list. Otherwise, miracles will have to wait.) This camera is great for kiddos to use because it even has games built in, and you can see what Disney World looks like through their eyes. True to the camera’s description, the photos can print out right then and there! Check it out here! Alright, so maybe our definition of “need” is different from other people’s, but hey, that’s what makes us all special, right? We’ll continue to try out all the latest Disney World essentials in the park to tell you what you may really need to make your trip easier, so stay tuned to DFB! 14. The Christmas season is almost here at Disney World, and we can’t wait to see all the changes! Christmas in Magic Kingdom Taking place from November 14th through December 31st, 2025, the holiday season at Disney World brings with it special parties, festive decor, fun overlays, tasty treats, limited-time merch, and so much more! This year has brought about a ton of change at Disney World that could affect how we celebrate the holidays, along with some new holiday additions coming to the resort. If you plan on visiting Disney World this winter, here are some notable changes and absences you should expect during your visit! No Gingerbread House at the Grand Floridian Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is getting a lobby update, which will prohibit the inclusion of the beloved gingerbread house addition this year. 2024 Gingerbread House The Grand Floridian lobby gingerbread house has been a tradition of the resort for the last 25 years, and it usually draws heavy crowds during the holiday season with its impressive craftsmanship and delicious seasonal treats. Space constraints have made it tough for the house to be built this year. Gingerbread Ornament However, Disney has confirmed that the other gingerbread displays at Disney World hotels will be returning, so you can still see the Contemporary gingerbread castle, the Beach Club gingerbread carousel, and the BoardWalk’s mini gingerbread hotel model. Contemporary Resort Gingerbread Display Work in the lobby is expected to wrap up soon, so we’re hoping to see the Grand Floridian’s gingerbread house return in 2026. Resort Construction Disney World is in the midst of some massive expansion and refurbishment projects, which will eventually look really cool in a couple of years from now, but will be eyesores this holiday season. DinoLand construction You’ll have to pardon a lot of pixie dust at Disney World as several hotels continue ongoing refurbishment projects, Animal Kingdom totally revamps DinoLand U.S.A. into its new Tropical Americas-themed land, Magic Kingdom replaces the Rivers of America with the new Cars-themed Piston Peak and continues to work on Big Thunder Mountain and the new Villains Land, and Hollywood Studios continues to turn Muppets Courtyard into a new Monsters, Inc.-themed land. Rivers of America drained Expect to see a bunch of walls, cranes, and remnants of construction work, and get ready to hear the jolly sounds of drilling, hammering, and hard labor. Will Disney World be the prettiest it’s ever been during the 2025 holiday season? Probably not, but we all have to remember that eyesores are only temporary. New Holiday Souvenirs We’re getting some new souvenirs at the parks this year! ©Disney From new apparel to Christmas tree ornaments to toys and home accessories, there will be PLENTY of gifts for Disney fans of all ages! ©Disney There’s even an adorable gingerbread Squishmallow! ©Disney Honoring all the holidays, these souvenirs can be found at various shops around the resort as well as online at the Disney Store (in case you can’t make your way out to Florida this holiday season). ©Disney You can browse through some of the early holiday merch previews by clicking here! More Offerings at the Holiday Parties Disney World debuted a lot of neat stuff this year, and you’ll be able to experience a lot of it at this year’s after-hours holiday parties at Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios! We love this show! 15. We hope your taste buds are ready, because a NEW snack stand was just announced for Disney World! Magic Kingdom AstroFizz is coming to Magic Kingdom, and we’ve got a first look at the menu! Disney just shared that a new snack stand is coming to Magic Kingdom! AstroFizz will replace Cool Ship in Tomorrowland, which has been closed for a while at this park. Disney hasn’t revealed an opening timeline or many details so far, but we do have an idea of what’s coming to the menu! Cool Ship Get ready to experience Coca-Cola, Fanta Blue Raspberry, or Fanta Orange Frozen Slushies… ©Disney … a Cherry Cola Churro: Churro rolled in cherry sugar, drizzled with Coca-Cola Cherry icing, and topped with cherry popping candies… ©Disney …and, like any good Disney snack stand should have: Popcorn! ©Disney Disney hasn’t revealed too many details about this new spot, but they did update the Walt Disney World website with a page for AstroFizz. On it, the description reads, “Fuel up at this space-age stand featuring buttery popcorn and fluffy cotton candy. Then, before you blast off again, cool off with a refreshing beverage—like frozen slushies or assorted Coca-Cola® Fountain Beverages.” AstroFizz construction It sounds like the menu will be limited to popcorn, cotton candy, slushies, and churros. Of course, other snacks may be available here in the future, and we can’t wait! 17. Calling all MARVEL superhero fans — you’ll want to mark your calendars for an important November date! No matter who your favorite Spider-Man is, we can all probably agree that the franchise has stayed popular for a reason (probably because they keep making movies with different Spider-Men…). ©Sony If you’re a fan of the Tom Holland version of the iconic superhero, you’re in luck, because Spider-Man: Homecoming will be streaming free starting next month! Mark your calendars because Spider-Man: Homecoming is coming to Tubi, the free streaming service, on November 1st! ©Marvel The very first Spider-Man solo movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been streaming on Disney+ for a while, but it requires a paid subscription to the streaming service. Tubi offers thousands of movies that are available to stream for free, without requiring a paid subscription. You can create an account just like any other streaming service to keep track of what you’ve watched and your favorites. ©Tubi Spider-Man: Homecoming was released in 2017 and stars Tom Holland as Spider-Man, Zendaya as MJ, Marissa Tomei as Aunt May, Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, and several other notable actors. ©Marvel We recently got a new look at the Spider-Man attraction coming to Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. A brand-new Spider-Man attraction will delight guests as the newest pavilion coming to Stark Expo at Hong Kong Disneyland. This ride will go to the Marvel area at Hong Kong Disneyland, which was created by Tony Stark as a new headquarters for Stark Industries. It’s home to the Stark Expo, showcasing all the newest technology, and this Spider-Man ride is for Peter Parker to show off his latest piece of tech. While Peter Parker is working on it, Doctor Octopus comes in to create some chaos, and Spider-Man will need your help to stop him. ©Disney We can’t wait to check it out in person when it opens! ©Disney We’ll be on the lookout for more streaming and MARVEL news you need to know about. 18. We’re still struggling to believe that it’s somehow almost November (time FLIES!), and while that means there are only two more months of the year, it does mean that the holiday season is about to take over Disney World in FULL force. Santa Duffy at Jollywood If you’re a big fan of the holidays, this is probably one of your favorite times of the year. While we’re looking forward to all the special holiday merchandise, snacks, and decor that’s about to be up all around the parks, if you’re especially a big fan of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you won’t want to miss the nine new additions hitting the parks for Jollywood Nights this year! Jollywood Nights is an after-hours event that takes place on select nights from November 8th through December 22nd, and tickets range from $159 to $199, depending on how close you are to Christmas and what day of the week it is. The past two years this event has been taking place, we’ve loved the opportunity to meet rare characters, try specialty snacks that aren’t available during the day, and check out some really amazing live entertainment. Fiesta en la Calle This year, Disney has already told us that we can look forward to NINE new additions hitting the park and the party for the very first time, but let’s break it down so you know what to add higher to your must-do list! Starting with characters, there are FOUR new character meet and greets at the party that you won’t want to miss out on. Miguel from Coco will be meeting guests at Holiday Fiesta en la Calle in front of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Chewbacca celebrating Life Day can be found in Galaxy’s Edge @Disney Partysaurus Rex will be living it up in Toy Story Land Bing Bong is imagining with visitors on Grand Avenue @Disney Not only that, but there’s also been a change to when you’ll be able to enter the park for the event. People with party tickets (NOT regular park tickets for Hollywood Studios) will be able to enter the park at 5:30 PM this year instead of the previous 6 PM entrance time. Holidays in Hollywood Show Disney has also announced that The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure and Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After will run throughout the night, meaning there are TWO more attractions to experience with lower wait times than usual. This is especially great for The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure, as the theatre is smaller and doesn’t fit as many people, meaning that wait times are usually longer during the day. The Little Mermaid: A Musical Adventure We’re also looking forward to the snacks on the new Backlot Express specialty menu! At this location, with all-new party food, you’ll be able to grab: Hickory Holiday Mac: Macaroni & cheese with burnt ends, crispy onions, and chili pepper sauce ©Disney Jolly Jam Slider: Angus burger with bourbon-garlic-bacon jam, smoky paprika aïoli, and chili pepper sauce served on a Hawaiian roll ©Disney Sleigh Bell Brussels Sprouts with bourbon-onion jam and crispy onions (Plant-based) ©Disney Sweet Chili Cheer Chicken Slider: Chicken thighs tossed in sweet chili aïoli topped with Asian slaw and cilantro served on a brioche roll ©Disney Holly Jolly Bread Pudding: Warm bread pudding swirled with chocolate-hazelnut spread and topped with cherries, holiday sprinkles, and a chocolate gingerbread man ©Disney Figgy Pudding Martini: Figenza Mediterranean Fig Flavored Vodka, fig jam, agave, half & half, ginger beer, and allspice garnished with nutmeg ©Disney Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA Miller High Life Lager There are SO many snacks (new and returning!) to check out at this event, you’ll want to take a look through them all in advance to know what’s at the top of your list. For the sake of this list, we counted it as one new addition, but there are over 30 new things to try! Check out ALL the Treats Coming to Jollywood Nights This Year! There’s also going to be an entirely new Jollywood Nights merch collection to check out! This collection will ONLY be available during the party, so if you see something you like, you’ll want to grab it before the night ends. ©Disney We can’t wait to be at the event the first night on November 8th, and we’ll be bringing you all the news to help you plan for your upcoming trip, so stay tuned to DFB! 21. Although a lot of folks are making their way to the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival before it ends on November 22nd, we want to make sure you know about Disney World’s OTHER festival…the one that doesn’t require you to buy a park ticket. If you’ve ever been interested in attending the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic, this might be a great year to do so…even MORE new food is coming to the event this year. Food and Wine Classic Recently, we got a sneak preview of this year’s event, and we’re going to tell you about the BEST food and drinks you need to grab when you’re there. The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic takes place on November 14th and 15th from 5-9 PM. Tickets are on sale now, so you’ve still got time to get those if you want to attend (and trust us, there’s a lot of great food to try!). Even better? That ticket gets you unlimited bites from themed areas across the event, like The Beer Garden, For the Love of Florida, Carnival Corner, The Bubbles Lounge, and Chinatown. Swan and Dolphin Okay, it’s time to talk about the items you HAVE to try this year at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic. Okay, let’s dive into some food and drinks you need to try this year. We’ll warn you that this year saw a huge overhaul of the menus, so there will be a lot of new menu items we haven’t seen before. But, honestly, that’s exciting, right? Red Wine Braised Wagyu Short Rib at Bourbon Steak Our reporter described the Red Wine Braised Wagyu Short Rib with Celery Root Espuma and Shallot Marmalade as “incredible.” This is a new item debuting this year, and you’ll have to put it on your list. The beef is so tender that it falls apart. It also has a rich, deep, and buttery flavor. Slow Braised Wagyu Beef Short Rib Then there was the pairing of the celery root and shallot marmalade that brought all the flavors together. Chirashi Bowl from Cabana Bar and Beach Club The Chirashi Bowl with Cured Salmon, Seasoned Sushi Rice, Shoyu Egg, Wakame, Pickled Radish, Cucumber, Edamame, and Sriracha Aioli is another new item that quickly became a favorite of ours. Yes, it’s adventurous, but that’s part of the fun of a food festival, right? Getting to try things you’ve never tried before? Well, we ended up loving this, but we also love the sticky rice sushi vibe. Chirashi Bowl The bowl also has some nice veggies, and the salmon had a nice flavor. What really brings it all together, though, is the sriracha aioli on top. Ricotta Cappelletti from Il Mulino The Ricotta Cappelletti with Hand Crafted Pasta, House Made Citrus Ricotta Filling, Slow Cooked Angus Beef Ragu, and Crispy Pancetta Breadcrumbs is for you, pasta lovers. This is a fantastic savory dish, and the ricotta gives it a rich flavor. We also loved the citrus flavor of the ricotta that adds some brightness to the whole meal. Ricotta Cappelletti On top, you’ve got those nice pancetta breadcrumbs, which add a little extra flavor and texture. Blue Crab Stir-Fried Rice from bluezoo The Blue Crab Stir-Fried rice is a stir fry made with blue crab, Florida Gulf shrimp, and tempura shiitake mushrooms, and is another one that should make your “must-try” list. The rice has a wonderful sweet and salty soy-based flavor, but it’s not TOO salty. The crab is tender and soft, and the shrimp is perfectly cooked. Stir Fried Rice The mushrooms add a nice crunch, while green onions give the flavors some brightness. This is also such a filling portion, too, that you might want to share it. The Cherry at Sweets & Desserts The Cherry with Cherry Mousse, Chocolate Cake, Black Cherry Compote, and a Dark Chocolate Disc is another new item at the event this year, and it blew us away when we tried it. Not only is it shaped like a giant cherry (so A+ for presentation), but it has a wonderful cherry flavor, thanks to the cherry compote. The Cherry The chocolate cake is also good, and the mousse has a wonderful, light consistency. Green Tea, Lime Mango Mousse Dome at Sweets & Treats If you want something perfect for your Instagram photos, the Green Tea, Lime Mango Mousse Dome is VERY pretty, but we’re also happy to report that it tastes really good, too. The lime mango inside the dome is nice with just a hint of green tea flavor. Green Tea Lime Mango Mousse This is also a nice, light dessert, and something that won’t make you feel heavy after you eat it. Grab those tickets to the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic while you can. Tickets for unlimited food and beverage tastings on the Causeway for Friday OR Saturday night are $205.00 per person ($224.01 with tax and service fees). 23. Two popular (and exclusive) Disney World souvenirs have finally made their way online! Donald Duck Christmas Tree Sipper If you can’t make it to the parks this holiday season, Disney is finally giving us a chance to bring the park’s holiday magic home to us! For the first time, you can order a popular popcorn bucket and sipper straight from the parks under your Christmas tree. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. Popcorn buckets and sippers have developed their own subculture in the Disney parks. They sell out quickly and have even seen hours-long wait times (we will never forget the Figment Popcorn bucket incident of 2022). Now, there’s no need to wait or even buy a park ticket; you can have yours sent straight to you from the comfort of your couch. Donald Duck Holiday Sipper The Donald Sipper! This sipper debuted in Disney World in 2023, and we have been obsessed with him ever since! Not only can this cup hold your favorite drinks for an extra bit of fun, but it even lights up. Not only is it cute and flashy, but it also comes with a shoulder strap for easier carrying around the park and your home. It isn’t microwave or dishwasher-safe, so get ready to hand-wash! Shop on the Disney Store Sulley Holiday Popcorn Bucket Sulley Holiday Popcorn Bucket Next up, we have the Sulley Popcorn Bucket from 2024! 25. Santa Claus is coming to town! Even though Santa Claus is hard at work at the North Pole preparing for the holiday season, he is taking time out of his busy schedule to meet guests at Disney World! Meet Santa at Disney Springs! Not only has Disney announced that you can find him at the four theme parks, but you can also meet him at Disney Springs — meaning NO theme park ticket required and FREE parking! However, you need to know a few things if you are hoping to meet Santa at Disney Springs! From November 13th through December 24th, you will be able to meet Santa Claus near Disney’s Pin Traders in Disney Springs. That’s right! No park ticket required, and there is even free parking nearby. You can make a day out of it and dine and shop your way through Disney Springs. However, there is one small caveat if you want to meet Santa: you must join the virtual queue. Visit Santa at Disney Springs in 2024 There is only one way to make sure you can meet him, and that is by joining the virtual queue. You will need to use the My Disney Experience app and request to join the virtual queue. The virtual queue will open at select times throughout the day: 9 AM, 11 AM, 1 PM, 3 PM, and 6 PM. You must be at Disney Springs to join the queue, and one person will join the queue for your entire party (maximum party size of 10 people). It’s Santa! Once you have joined the queue at one of the times listed above, you will receive a push notification and a link to a digital entry code when it is your time to return to meet Santa Claus. Santa Claus will be located near Disney’s Pin Traders. Disney Springs isn’t the only spot you can meet Santa Claus, though! Disney has said he will also be at all four of the Disney World theme parks, so you have multiple options for meeting Santa this holiday season. Santa at Disney’s Hollywood Studios Also, while you are at Disney Springs meeting Santa Claus, don’t miss out on the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll! You can enjoy a collection of Disney-inspired Christmas trees located throughout Disney Springs. Make sure to pick up a complimentary map highlighting the location of each tree, and bring the completed map back for a special prize. We always love exploring all the themed trees!
