Mexican actress and host Jacqueline (Jacky) Bracamontes recently vacationed at Walt Disney World Resort with her husband, Martin Fuentes, and their five daughters: Jacqueline, Carolina, Renata and twins Emilia and Paula, ages six, five, three and one, respectively. The family visited Magic Kingdom Park, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney Springs. Although the age difference between their five princesas is small, planning a vacation to our magical kingdom can have its challenges. “We have five children all wanting to go to different attractions and do different things. The oldest one wants to go to [The Twilight Zone] Tower of Terror [at Disney’s Hollywood Studios], but the other ones can’t,” Jacky said. “Where we go to eat is another thing that we need to think about. One of our solutions is that we, the parents, decide and the girls adapt to our decisions. We balance their likes and needs. When one of them falls asleep, then we go to the attractions that the oldest ones can go to. Then, we go to the ones that all in the family can do.” If you are traveling with a big family or with kids of different ages like Jacky and Martin, here are additional tips to help you plan your vacation at Walt Disney World Resort: Take advantage of Rider Switch. This allows one adult to experience the attraction with the older children, while the second adult waits with the younger children. After the first half of the family has experienced the attraction, the adults switch without having to wait in line a second time. Divide and conquer! While the younger children ride attractions suitable for them such as Dumbo The Flying Elephant at Magic Kingdom Park or watch shows like “Finding Nemo – The Musical” at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the older children can drop into Splash Mountain or board Expedition Everest with another member of their family Stay inside the magic! There are a lot of benefits that our familias get when they stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. One of them is the convenience of going to a theme park in the morning and then going to your room to take a nap via resort transportation. Another benefit is the Extra Magic Hours. You can enjoy time in the theme parks before they open to regular guests or stay after hours. Both are a great way to maximize your stay with the little and not so little ones. Plan FastPass+ selections for the entire family! FastPass+ allows your family to save time in the lines while they experience the attractions and entertainment of their choice. FastPass+ selections can be made as early as 30 days in advance with the purchase of a ticket or Annual Pass, or up to 60 days prior to check-in at a Disney Resort hotel, Disney Springs Area Hotels or select nearby hotels. What other tips do you have? Share them with us! View the full article

From The Fountain Eats and Sweets where we tried the New Year’s Resolution Milkshake earlier today, it’s just a hop, skip and a jump over to the Swan and Dolphin’s Java Bar! Disney’s Swan and Dolphin Resorts And that’s where we found our next snack on our list, the Chocolate Stone! If you haven’t been to Java located in Disney’s Swan Resort, you gotta check it out next time you’re in the area! This is where you’ll find the keto-friendly Octane Coffee along with a bunch of other specialty coffee drinks! Java Read our review of Java’s Octane Coffee here! But drinks aren’t the only thing on the menu! You’ll also find a bakery case filled with delicious-looking desserts! This is where we spotted the Chocolate Stone — a rich dark chocolate ganache-covered mousse resting on top of a hardened chocolate and toffee cake! Chocolate Stone We love the sleek look and refined style of this classy dessert! “Swan and Dolphin Hotel” appears repeated all over the decorative chocolate topper for just a little extra panache! Chocolate Stone Taking a few bites, we can tell ya the chocolate “stone” is suuuper chocolate-y. The chocolate flavor is really dark, so this dessert is great for folks who don’t like really sweet treats. The crunchy toffee layer at the bottom adds some contrast to the textures of the soft, silky mousse and brownie-like consistency of the cake. Chocolate Stone You can find the Chocolate Stone for $6 at Java, and since you’ll only be a stone’s throw away from the Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, stop by The Screen Door General Market where we just spotted the adorable new Valentine’s Day Pandora Charm! Are you excited to try the Chocolate Stone at Java on your next trip to Disney? Let us know in the comments below! Oreo Triffle And today we encountered a treat we just had to try on our Disney-faring voyage! Check out our review of the new-to-us Oreo Trifle here! The Oreo Trifle consists of layers of Oreo mousse, chocolate cake, and whipped cream topped with chocolate-coated crispy pearls, an Oreo cookie, and chocolate cookie crumbles! Sounds like all the makings for an awesome dessert to us! Oreo Triffle Plus, this dessert comes in a handy, plastic cup — the perfect portable vessel! We love how you can see all the layers of this THING! But now we must take a sample of the Oreo Trifle, you know, for the sake of research! Oreo Triffle The chocolate cake in there is super soft and moist. It literally falls apart and blends right into the mousse when you stir it. It has a similar cookies ‘n cream flavor profile and texture to it — but we didn’t need an advance dining reservation to get our fix! There’s a pretty big construction project coming to the roads near Magic Kingdom! Magic Kingdom The entrance and exit to Magic Kingdom are often extremely prone to traffic, so it’s good news that we spotted the acceptance of a permit for significant construction taking place on World Drive/Floridian Way, just outside the exit to Magic Kingdom! Take a look at what changes are coming to the roads in the area! Applications for the permit were filed a few months ago, but now the South Florida Water Management District has accepted the plans, so we should see this project start-up relatively soon. We want to be prepared so we’re checking out what all the construction will entail! The area in question is along Floridian Way between the Car Care Center and the Magic Kingdom Parking Lots. Construction Plans ©Google Maps The construction is going to slightly shift the alignment of World Drive (both northbound and southbound) and widen the roadway. There should also be two new ramps constructed to connect Floridian Way to Bear Island Road and Magic Kingdom Parking Lot Exit Road to the Car Care Center. Construction Plans ©Disney Now, the big pieces of this project come in the form of four new bridges carrying Floridian Way over the Magic Kingdom exit road! This means that the usual congestion that makes it difficult to head into and out of Grand Floridian Resort should be lessened significantly. Access to the Car Care Center will also be easier! Construction Plans ©Disney Now, this is definitely a massive project, so while we’re waiting for it to be completed we may see some effect on traffic patterns in the area that aren’t as positive so we’ll be sure to keep you updated! We’ll also be keeping a close lookout for any sign of the project starting so that we can let you know! We will also let you know if plans for this project change because as you probably know, things always have the potential to change! Headed to Magic Kingdom soon? Check out the latest updates! The Resistance needs heroes like Angel. She grew up watching Star Wars with her dad and brother, and as someone with congenital limb difference, felt that Luke Skywalker was one of the first positive examples of representation she saw. She loves the Star Wars universe because it always felt inclusive to her. Watch Angel join the cause at Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, which launches Jan. 17 at Disneyland park! The newest attraction inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, is one of the most ambitious, advanced and immersive experiences ever undertaken by Walt Disney Imagineering. You’ll climb aboard a full-size transport shuttle before being captured by a Star Destroyer and find yourself in the middle of a climactic battle between the dark side of the First Order and the light side of the Resistance. The harrowing adventure blurs the lines between fantasy and reality on a scale never seen before in a Disney attraction. Are you #ResistanceReady? We want to hear from you.
