Can you get Disney Parks food DELIVERED??? In our never-ending quest to discover new ways to consume Disney World food, we ran a few experiments today that we think you might be interested in hearing about… . Magic Kingdom See, when we opened Postmates — a popular food delivery app — today, we caught sight of something we’d never seen before. We went to place our lunch order using the app, and what did we spy with our little eyes other than Tony’s Town Square Restaurant in the list of Postmates’ possible options!!! Tony’s Town Square — as in THE Tony’s Town Square in THE MAGIC KINGDOM? Yes, friends. THAT TONY’S. We were absolutely stunned. Tony’s Town Square Restaurant Whhhhaaaat was happening?? Maybe one too many trips on “it’s a small world” had FINALLY melted our brains? And it wasn’t just Tony’s Town Square that showed up in the list of Postmates’ possibilities! We could also potentially order from Friars Nook, Jungle Navigation Skipper Canteen… the list of Disney World restaurants went on AND ON! Postmates Screenshot And sure enough, we were actually able to place our lunch order for Disney Parks food with Postmates! We were in total disbelief when it ACTUALLY WENT THROUGH. They’re going to go into the parks FOR US and BRING US OUR FOOD??? This is too good to be true!!! Turns out…it kind of was. KIND OF. Stay with us. So we waited. And we waited some more. We tried multiple times, placing several orders at various Disney World restaurants located inside the parks. And while all of our orders initially went through, each one of ’em failed. After a good 20-30 minutes, we were contacted by someone at Postmates who told us our orders couldn’t be fulfilled. We were called by a customer representative in one instance, and also a Postmates driver who said he wasn’t being allowed into the Magic Kingdom because he didn’t have a ticket. (Ummm…dude. What did you expect?) Postmates Screenshot But that got us thinking — if the Postmates driver actually DID make it all way to the Magic Kingdom, and was denied access because he didn’t have a ticket, could we order food from Disney Springs where you don’t need a ticket? Sure enough — WE COULD! Postmates delivery map We placed an order for Earl of Sandwich, one of our favorite Disney Springs spots; and it SHOWED UP! It did take a REALLY LONG TIME, THOUGH. We’re sayin’ this is more a “we’re in for the evening, not in any BIG hurry” sort of deal since it took about 2 hours for our food to arrive (your experience may vary). So you’ll have to decide how much you REALLY want that Full Montagu — you know what I’m sayin’? Earl of Sandwich via Postmates In addition to taking forever, we caution you not to expect perfection. Even when our food finally got to us, it wasn’t all rainbows and puppies. We were lacking a critically necessary fork to eat our Mac and Cheese; and what, NO napkins? Clearly, Postmates still has some wrinkles to iron out, but — hey — despite our doubts (which were numerous) it ACTUALLY CAME, so PROPS anyway! Now, it may not sound super-exciting to the folks who live near Disney World to have Disney Springs food delivered to your home, BUT — did we mention we had it delivered to our Disney World resort? Yes, DFB fam — we’re talking TOTAL VACATION GAME CHANGER! Earl of Sandwich rolled right up to us at Disney’s Contemporary Resort! Earl of Sandwich via Postmates But even though our Earl of Sandwich lunch order did arrive successfully, we still kinda have our doubts about this process. We contacted a few of the restaurants listed on Postmates to see if, in fact, they would deliver their food to us. When we spoke with a representative at Amorette’s Patisserie, she said she’d never heard of anyone using Postmates at their store. She said you can order a cake or dessert of theirs and have it delivered to any Disney Springs restaurant IF you have an advance dining reservation, but this is handled by Amorette’s Patisserie themselves. The didn’t know of any third-party service that will deliver their food when we asked. R2-D2 Cake from Amorette’s Patisserie Next, we called Sprinkles to see if they would deliver to our resort, and the representative we spoke with confirmed Postmates does deliver their cupcakes as well as the service DoorDash. They also told us Sprinkles themselves will deliver to a Disney World restaurant or resort instead of using a third-party vendor. They just ask that you contact the restaurant or resort first for approval. Sprinkles also has curbside delivery at their bakery. We’ll keep you posted on how this story develops, but for now, you just might be able to enjoy Disney Springs eats delivered to your Disney World hotel! For the best results, we think it would be a good idea to call the restaurant to verify before placing your Postmates order! And we’d love to hear your experiences. If you try to have Postmates deliver Disney Springs eats to your hotel or Orlando-area home, let us know what happens! Your stories can help other Disney fans! Will you be taking advantage of Postmates on your next Disney World vacation? Let us know if you’re excited about having Disney Springs food delivered to your resort in the comments below! NOTE: Postmates did not respond to our requests for comment on this story. It’s officially the 2020 Epcot International Festival of the Arts and we are SO excited. Festival of the Arts It’s time to celebrate all the arts, from culinary, to performing, and visual! While we’ve been enjoying munching on some delightfully artistic bites today, we have also been loving the entertainment for this year’s Fest. While we had already gotten a sneak peek of what was to come, today we’re looking at all the entertainment at the 2020 Festival of the Arts! Performing Arts The main event at Epcot’s Festival of the Arts is the Disney on Broadway Concert Series, which takes place at the America Gardens Theatre. Tonight we got to see a performance by Broadway stars Kissy Simmons and Alton Fitzgerald White, and, WOW, what a treat! These two performed hits from The Little Mermaid, Aida, and The Lion King, and we loved every second of it! Alton Fitzgerald White and Kissy Simmons Want to find out how you can get guaranteed seating with the Disney on Broadway Dining Package? Click here! Over in Future World, prepare to be amazed by these incredible Living Statues. These feature some (seriously talented) folks posing as, well, a living statue! Living Statue These guys are so talented! Living Statue In the Germany Pavilion, enjoy the music of Lebendig, in their Disney-debut! The German band will be performing on select dates for the entirety of the Festival. Lebendig in Germany Pavilion At the performance stage in Future World, you can take in a variety of different performances depending on the time of day you visit! From musicians, to stunning acrobatics, there’s always an exciting show that will be taking place on stage. Performing Arts We got a sneak preview of performances from Art Defying Gravity and Trevor Carlton — check them out here! For the FULL LIST of Festival of the Arts experiences, make sure you grab a Festival Passport on your way in! Showtimes will also be listed in the passport, and also posted through the various performance locations. Festival Passport Visual Arts Obviously, it wouldn’t be the Festival of the Arts without plenty of opportunities to see some art! From classes to photo opportunities to hidden works of art, there’s a little bit of everything at this year’s Festival! One of our favorite touches has to be the Character Artwork displayed around the meet-and-greets in Epcot. We spotted a few different portraits, lovingly drawn by beloved Disney characters! Check out this portrait of Belle from Beauty and the Beast, courtesy of her father, Maurice. We found this one by the Belle meet-and-greet in the France Pavilion. Belle Portrait There was also this charming portrait of the White Rabbit by Alice, located in the UK Pavilion by the spot where Alice does her meet-and-greet! White Rabbit Portrait For those that want to take home your own work of art, you can also check out the Sugar Painting over at the China Pavilion! This traditional Chinese candy art uses sugar syrup to paint animals. Sugar Painting Prices Just check out how cool this Bear Sugar Painting is! Bear Sugar Painting There are also opportunities all over the park to take a step into a famous work of art, with Artful Photo Ops located around Epcot. This returning favorite gives guests the chance to take a truly unique snap inside some iconic paintings. Peter Pan Photo Op Step inside this famous Van Gogh painting to become your very own work of art! Van Gogh Artful Photo Op Sunflowers and Cafe Terrace at Night are two new photo opportunities located in Future World. Cafe Terrace at Night Another returning favorite is the Paint-By-Numbers Mural, which this year is located where the former Mouse Gear gift shop used to be. How gorgeous is that painting going to look with Spaceship Earth in the background?! Paint-By-Numbers Mural Earlier we learned that there will be five new mural designs in total. The final design should be Figment ushering in Epcot’s Flower and Garden that starts on March 4th. Paint-By-Numbers Mural Figment’s Brush with the Masters Scavenger Hunt, is another returning favorite! With a new map this year, kiddos will have a blast searching for hidden Figments among some famous works of art. Once their palette map is completed, it can be redeemed for a prize. Brush with the Masters You can find the map at Port of Entry for $7.99 plus tax! Figment’s Scavenger Hunt This year’s festival also features two kinds of Chalk Art – 2D Chalk Art, as well as 3D Chalk Art. We spotted these 2D Chalk Art drawings of Anna and Elsa from Frozen, as well as Bruni from Frozen 2. 2D Chalk Art Nearby, there was a 3D Chalk Art drawing of Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf from Frozen. Wow – they really do make these look 3D!! Frozen 3D Chalk Art Over in the Germany Pavilion, you can show off your own artistic prowess with Interactive Glass Art! Interactive Glass Art Here, you can purchase a project, and then select the glass you’d like to have fused into your piece. You can choose anything from a necklace to a picture frame to have created! Interactive Glass Art Speaking of interactive, we were psyched when we learned there would be a Spin Art Experience available at the Japan Pavilion! Spin Art The experience allows you to select four colors of paint, and then watch as your masterpiece is spun to life before your very eyes! The experience can either be done tabletop or on a bike, but either way you will create some stunning artwork. Spin Art at Festival Preview You can read more about the Spin Art experience here! And don’t forget that over in Future World East you’ll find the Green Landing Family Play Zone. Green Landing Family Play Zone The area is themed after WALL-E and is a great place to let the little ones run around! Greetings from the Epcot International Festival of the Arts! We’re eating our way around the park to bring you ALL THE FOOD at this year’s fest! Festival of the Arts Sign We’ve worked our way ’round the World (Showcase) tasting all the Food Studios have to offer! From France to Italy, to Japan, we’ve loved it all, and now we’re seeing what China has to offer over at The Painted Panda! The Painted Panda is located in the China Pavilion in World Showcase. This spot rarely disappoints! This year brought all-new food options and a new drink as well! 2020 The Painted Panda Food Studio Menu Food First up at The Painted Panda is the Spicy Beef Shumai for $10.50. WOW. Seriously, this was so SO good. These perfectly moist little pillows of meat and carb heaven actually pack a fair bit of heat! These little steamed beef dumplings paired perfectly with the crunchy fresh pickles they’re served on. We could not get enough of this. Spicy Beef Shumai Next up, we took a bite out of the Char Siu Pork Bun for $7.50. We LOVE a good steam bun, and this did not disappoint. The pork was perfectly roasted, coated in a mix of salty and sweet sauce. The bun had just the right amount of stickiness and wasn’t at all stale or dry. It comes loaded with thin edible flowers which, while pretty to look at, didn’t bring much to the table and kept blowing away in the wind! This is a really fantastic small bite. Char Siu Pork Bun Drinks One drink we were VERY curious to try at this year’s festival was the Sea Butterfly for $12.50. Butterfly Pea Flower’s magical color-changing powers are SO cool and any time we can sip something in an otherworldly hue, we’ll be the first to scope it out! It is GORGEOUS! Lychee lovers, listen up! This is the drink for you, as that flavor dominates the drink due to the lychee syrup it’s made with. It is made with Vodka and Light Rum and has, of course, boba pearls! Sea Butterfly Next up we tried the non-alcoholic “Panda” Bubble Tea for $7.25. This is classic milk tea with black and white boba pearls (the chewy kind, not the popping kind!). If you love boba tea (we do!) you’ll love this. It’s creamy, not too sweet, and the pearls are fun to chew on with each sip. “Panda” Milk Bubble Tea The Jasmine Draft Beer for $5.00 was a very approachable beer. It’s mild and not too hoppy with the tiniest hint of floral notes to it. Jasmine Draft Beer China often serves up fun and fruity mixed drinks and The Fortune Cookie for $11.00 is no exception. Made with a mix of ByeJoe Spirit, Amaretto, coconut, and pineapple, this is very sweet and creamy and is reminiscent of a piña colada. Fortune Cookie Last but not least, this drink seems to have become a staple at many Epcot festivals now! The Kung Fu Punch for $10.50 is back at the Festival of the Arts this year! It’s listed as being made with just Vodka and Triple Sec, but in the past, it’s been made with Mango Syrup and Orange Juice as well. This is sweet and strong, and always enjoyable to sip on. Kung Fu Punch Another MEGA cool option at this booth is the chance to purchase handmade sugar art here! Sugar artists will create practically any animal you can think of by freehand drizzling molten sugar right in front of you! It’s presented to you on a stick so you can carry around your creation for all to see (if you don’t eat it first!). Animals cost $15 and a dragon will run you $22! We’re over here enjoying ourselves immensely at the 2020 Epcot International Festival of the Arts! Epcot 2020 Festival of the Arts Running now through February 24th, 2020, this annual festival is such a celebration filled with stunning merch, incredible entertainment, and so much more — but who are we kiddin’! For us, it’s all about the gorgeous FOOD! Aside from the Food Studios located throughout World Showcase, some of Epcot’s counter-service spots also like to get in on the festival fun! One of those places is the Refreshment Outpost between Germany and the China pavilion. Even when there isn’t a festival going on, this is a great stop to make for a Frozen Slush or Nigerian Meat Pie! Refreshment Outpost Booth Let’s see what the Refreshment Outpost is bringing to this year’s fest! Refreshment Outpost 2020 Menu Food Refreshment Outpost will be serving a brand new vegan option for 2020! It’s a Plant-Based Bratwurst is served with a spicy turmeric aioli, coffee barbecue jackfruit, and slaw. Well here goes nuthin’! Down the hatch! Plant-Based Bratwurst We were pleasantly surprised by the Brautwurst and would actually rate it higher than the Vegan Slaw Dog that’s served at Casey’s Corner. This option has a little more spice, which we tend to appreciate. And while we didn’t love the texture of the Jackfruit we thought it was a good plant-based option! This is also where you’ll find the Paintbrush Churros (they were previously sold at Taste Track in 2019). They made our Best of the Fest last year. We love these little cinnamon-sugar churros dipped in colored white chocolate. But be careful, if you’re blessed with a fresh churro you may experience a bit of a mess. Our icing melted rather quickly! Paintbrush Churros And the Popcorn Pairing Flight has returned, but new beers have been added for 2020! Popcorn Pairing Flight This year the Barrel of Monks Brewery Endless Enigma Golden Pale Ale is paired with Bacon Barbecue Popcorn. Golden Pale Ale The Collective Arts Brewing Life in the Clouds with Jalapeño Ranch Popcorn. Collective Arts And the M.I.A. Beer Company Malt Bach Brown Ale is paired with the Buffalo Bleu Cheese Popcorn. Brown Ale We think this is such a FUN option for beer lovers. The popcorn flavors are unique and tasty. And each the beers offered a variety of notes. The Refreshment Outpost may be serving up the yum all year round but these two items are only available through February 24th, 2020 as part of the Epcot International Festival of the Arts. Check out the Festival’s Booths, Menus, and Food Photos Here. And don’t forget to follow along with us as we report LIVE from the Festival of the Arts! Being at Disneyland today for Rise of the Resistance’s grand opening was some THIRSTY WORK! Oga’s Cantina Which is why we had to swing by our favorite Black Spire Outpost watering hole, Oga’s Cantina! Sure, we’d already sipped the new Toydaria Swirl from the Milk Stand as well at the newest “purple drank” to land at Disneyland’s Galaxy’s Edge — the Black Spire Hot Chocolate! But there’s always room for Oga’s! And it was there we made a BIG discovery! Fans of Oga’s Cantina’s Blue Bantha, listen up — we’re talking to YOU! That extra-THICK sugar cookie you could previously only get if you ordered the entire drink to go with it? Wells, that’s all changed! Oga’s Cantina Menu Read more about the drinks at Oga’s Cantina here! You can now buy you Bantha Cookie à la carte — sans the Blue Bantha milk! We were just in it for the cookie this whole time anyway, so we’re chalking this one up a major victory! Blue Bantha The cookie is a thick buttery sugar cookie on the bottom with a thick layer of coconut caramel goodness that gives off definite Girl Scout Samoa Cookie vibes. Top all that off with a meringue Bantha horn and you got one big, hefty boss cookie! Blue Bantha The Bantha Cookie doesn’t come cheap, though. Just one of these puppies will cost ya $5.50! And you’ll still need a reservation at Oga’s to snag one, but this is progress, friends! Delicious PROGRESS! The full Bantha Milk will set you back a cool $13, so we’ll take it! What a time to be alive! Speaking of progress, don’t forget to check out the new 45th-anniversary Carousel of Progress merch we spotted at Dinsey World this WEEK! Hiya from the 2020 Epcot International Festival of the Arts! We’re here reporting LIVE from Epcot so we can tell ya about all the new food, merch, and entertainment. Epcot 2020 Festival of the Arts But now it’s time to talk about a BRAND NEW experience that has made its way to the festival this year — The Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine. This new offering takes guests on a “technicolor tour around Epcot to sample a spectrum of dazzling, delicious dishes in a vibrant variety of hues.” If you remember the Cookie Stroll that’s available at Epcot’s Festival of the Holidays, then you kind of know what this guy is about! Guests have the opportunity to purchase 5 items from the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine locations, as seen here in the Wonderful Walk Passport. So, let’s get to walking, shall we? Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine Passport Seared Corvina at Cuisine Classique Let’s start things off with the Seared Corvina over at Cuisine Classique in the Germany Pavilion! The seared fish comes with braided Ratatouille (Remy would be proud), as well as Lemon-Thyme Beurre Blanc. For $7.50, this is a light dish that is filled with flavor! Seared Corvina Read our full review of Cuisine Classique here! Pan-Seared Scallop at The Artist’s Table The Pan-Seared Scallop is at The Artist’s Table is BACK, and we are thrilled. Vanilla, Rose Water and Pistachio Panna Cotta at The Masterpiece Kitchen Um, can we talk for a minute about just how beautiful this dessert is? Available at The Masterpiece Kitchen, this rose-shaped sweet is made with vanilla, rose water, and pistachio Panna Cotta, and is available for $8. While this same dish was also on the menu last year, this year the same great flavors came in a stunning rose-shaped design, which we are all about! The fact that it tastes delicious is just a (really great) added bonus. Vanilla, Rose Water, and Pistachio Panna Cotta Read all our thoughts on The Masterpiece Kitchen here! Deconstructed BLT at The Deconstructed Dish Both Pop Eats! and The Deconstructed Dish started the day off a bit late due to some “technical difficulties”. But, once we got a taste of the Deconstructed BLT, we’re happy to say it was WELL worth the wait! Made with crispy pork belly, tomato jam, and soft poached egg, this dish is available for $7. The pork belly is nice and crispy, pairing well with the soft egg. The added hint of sweet flavor from the tomato jam ties everything together in the best way! Deconstructed BLT Check out our FULL review of the Deconstructed Dish here! Almond Frangipane Cake at Pop Eats Another returning player! The Almond Frangipane Cake was also available at Pop Eats! last year, although this year’s version is back with fewer colors. Available for $4.50, the cake is layered with raspberry jam and Belgian chocolate, making for a piece of cake that really looks like a work of art! Almond Frangipane Cake Read all our thoughts on Pop Eats here! The Prize! After you purchase your goodies, you’ll collect a stamp and pop it into your Festival Passport. Once you’ve gathered all five stamps, you can head to Decadent Delights for a prize — this adorable Completer Palette Cookie and a cup of strawberry milk! Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine Completer Cookie We’re happy to say that the Completer Palette Cookie is super yummy! It’s soft and flavorful, and was the perfect dessert treat after our Wonderful Walk meals. Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine Completer Cookie Overall Overall, we loved the dishes on the list this year, so for us, this truly was a Wonderful Walk! That being said, while the sugar cookie is genuinely yummy, if you aren’t a huge fan of the mandatory food options, then you shouldn’t feel too bad about skipping out on this one. It will cost you around $35 to complete your passport and to snag the cookie! And remember, the only way to snag this cookie is by completing the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine! If you don’t think this activity is for you, don’t worry because there’s still plenty of other fun activities to take in at the Festival of the Arts! It’s a new lunar year and all our friends are here! We couldn’t be feeling more fortunate! Disney California Adventure’s Lunar New Year This global holiday is celebrated the world over and Disney’s California Adventure has its own Lunar New Year party goin’ on right here! Like most Disney festivals, this one has its fair share of specialty eats and treats, so next on our list is Prosperity Bao & Bun! We’ve already a little full from sampling the festival food at Lucky 8 Lantern and Red Dragon Spice Traders, but you know there’s always some room left for Prosperity Bao & Buns! They’ve had some of our festival faves in years past so, needless to say, we’re excited to DIG IN! Prosperity Bao and Buns Food Interestingly enough, ALL of the food items are returning from the previous years Prosperity’s offerings. We’re not complaining though — we LOVE this stuff! The main event is the Char Siu Pork Bao for $7.75 made with Chinese BBQ Pork, Pickled Red Onions, and Jalapenos. Warning: This dish has some kick! Char Siu Pork Bao Also returning is the Mickey Chinese Hot Dog Bun which just might be the most FUN of all the festival eats! We think this is a super silly ear; It reminds us of a big ol’ bagel dog! Chow down for $7. Mickey Chinese Hot Dog Bun Now for the best course (IMHO anyway), it’s dessert! This booth has a flaky and sweet Mango-Pineapple Pastry which is layers of flaky pastry filled with pineapple jelly and diced mango. Um… YUM! Mango Pineapple Pastry Drinks Now, even though all of the food items are returning from last year, there’s an ALL-NEW cocktail at this booth! Needless to say, we’re PUMPED to try out the Lychee-Grapefruit Gin Spritzer for $13 made with gin, pure lychee fruit syrup, simple grapefruit, and soda water. Lychee-Grapefruit Gin Spritzer This drink packs a strong grapefruit flavor! If you’re not a fan of the fruit, forgo the Lychee-Grapefruit Gin Spritzer — it’s not shy!! Otherwise, it’s a tasty, refreshing drink garnished with a nice slice ‘o grapefruit! Lychee-Grapefruit Gin Spritzer There’s a new beer available here too! It’s called the Kloud Original Gravity Lager and it’s all the way from Korea. Try it for $10! Overall We can’t seem to resist the bounty of delightful foods the Prosperity Bao & Buns is servin’ up year after year! We don’t know what we’d snack on if the Mickey Chinese Hot Dog Bun went it away, for it IS LIFE! Click here to check out all of the food options at the Lunar New Year Festival this year! We hope you’ve been having fun following along with us on our exploration of Disney California Adventure’s Lunar New Year event! Red Dragon Spice Traders Booth We wish you could be here with us, but hopefully, you’ll get the chance to visit this year’s multi-cultural festival celebrating 2020 — the “Year of the Mouse”! Out next stop is Red Dragon Spice Traders, where we’re expecting to find some HOT and tasty treats! Red Dragon Spice Traders is one of the four Lunar New Year food booths you’ll find at this year’s Lunar New Year fest which runs through February 9th, 2020. This is the spot you’ll want to hit up if you’re looking for a snack with a little KICK! Red Dragon Spice Trader’s Menu There are three food items you can get here — the Firecracker Three Cup Chicken Wings for $7.50 are crispy chicken wings tossed in spicy red chili pepper sauce, sesame oil, rice wine, and soy. It was a big hit with us last year! Firecracker Three Cup Chicken New this year is a savory Shrimp & Ginger Dumplings for $8.25 served with a soy reduction and sriracha-mayonnaise. It was SOOOO YUM! Shrimp and Ginger Dumplings On the sweeter side, you’ll find the Purple Yam Macaron for $6.50. A returning favorite from last year’s fest, the Mickey-shaped almond macaron shell is filled with creamy purple yam and condensed vanilla crème fraîche. It’s also definitely one of the event’s prettiest treats, in our opinion! Purple Yam Macaron As for drinks, Red Dragon Spice Traders features a Honey Lime Green Tea for $6 which you can also get spiked with bourbon for $13! It had a nice mild flavor, and the honey definitely came through, although the drink wasn’t too sweet for us. We had the spiked version (of course) but we didn’t find the bourbon to be too overpowering, it’s quite refreshing! Honey Lime Green Tea Red Dragon Spice Traders is also the place to score bottles of Logic Hanamachi, a Japanese rice lager, for $11! Check out the rest of the Lunar New Year Food Booths and Menus here! And while we’re already tried the Lucky 8 Lantern’s eats, we can’t wait to see what other goodies we’ll find at this year’s celebration! Follow along with us LIVE from the festival here! It’s one of our favorite times of the year! That’s right — it’s the Epcot’s Festival of the Arts, you guys! Deconstructed Dish Booth And, although the festival is about plenty of beautiful creations, we’re about to get a lil messy (and have a LOT of fun) at the Deconstructed Dish! So, grab your napkins ’cause we’re here to take you with us LIVE as we review the Food Studio! While the Deconstructed Dish was closed earlier today for technical difficulties, we were ready to try EVERYTHING when it opened back up! Even though it was 5 PM!! Deconstructed Dish Menu Food Although we aren’t opposed to having dessert before dinner, we’re starting with the savory eats at the Deconstructed Dish! And, this time they’re serving up two sandwich-inspired snacks (that we are SO excited about). First up, the Deconstructed Reuben comes with sliced corned beef, rye-crusted sauerkraut, and Jarlsberg Cake with Broken Thousand Island Dressing for $6.75. Deconstructed Reuben If you LOVE sauerkraut, then you’ve gotta try this dish! The cake has a very strong sauerkraut flavor that works super well with the salty beef (and might even be better than an ACTUAL Reuben)! Deconstructed Reuben Following the sandwich vibe, the Deconstructed BLT is made with crispy pork belly, tomato jam, and soft poached egg for $7. Deconstructed BLT We’re ready to have the Deconstructed BLT every day for lunch because it is fabulous. The pork belly is crispy compared to the soft egg (which is cooked very well). Plus, the hint of sweetness from the tomato jam ties just everything together, like a wonderful work of art. Deconstructed BLT Ready for dessert?? We are! Back again this year, the Deconstructed Strawberry Cheesecake is sweet and tasty with its whipped New York-style cheesecake, fresh Florida strawberries, and sugar cookies with micro-basil for $6.25. Deconstructed Strawberry Cheesecake from The Deconstructed Dish Drinks After all that salty and sweet goodness, the drinks at the Deconstructed Dish are a great way to was down the eats you’ve tried! This year, you can try the Rainboba, which is sparkling water layered with fruit boba and topped with a foam cloud. While it’s really cute, the taste wasn’t a total blow away since it’s mostly strawberry lemonade sparkling water for $8… BUT…you do get to keep the adorable Festival of the Arts cup. So all-in-all we think it’s pretty worth it. Rainboba You can also try the Deconstructed Breakfast for $4.50! This drink comes in a non-alcoholic and alcoholic version with its mixture of Twinings® Spiced Apple Chai Tea Shake and Maple Syrup, which is topped with a Waffle Crisp and Candied Bacon. Deconstructed Breakfast Non-alcoholic While the non-alcoholic version is sweeter with more notes of apple and cinnamon, we couldn’t help but love the addition of Bourbon for $11! The super-smooth drink tastes like a boozy breakfast or “morning cup of happiness” as our reporter called it. Deconstructed Breakfast with Bourbon Overall Although the drinks were tasty at the Deconstructed Dish, we can’t get over how AH-MAZING the food was! The Reuben and BLT happen to be some of our favorite eats of the day, and they were great portion sizes too. If you’re visiting the Festival of the Arts, be sure to pop over to Deconstructed Dish (you’ll thank us later). Check out the rest of the food booths and menus from this year’s Festival of the Arts here! Have you tried the eats and drinks at the Deconstructed Dish yet? Let us know in the comments below! Food Studio Although we’ve seen some creative dishes like the Make-Your-Own Slushy at Cool Wash and the Create-Your-Own Cookie Masterpiece at Cuisine Classique, we’re heading to Pop Eats! for its modern, innovative treats available this year! You’ll find Pop Eats! over at the World Showcase Plaza, buuut it had a bit of a rocky start this morning as it was closed for half the day due to technical difficulties (whoops). When it’s open, though, make sure you come hungry. This place is serving up some modern-artistic fare like you wouldn’t believe! Let’s check out the menu! Pop Eats! Menu 2020 Food at Pop Eats! If you enjoyed Pop Eats! tasty offerings last year, we’re pleased to tell ya, THEY’VE ALL RETURNED! And, if you’re new to the Festival of the Arts’ scene, no worries! Here’s a rundown of what you can get! Pop Eats! is serving its classic Sous Vide Chicken Roulade with Apples and Sage for $6.75. Sous Vide Chicken Roulade “Sous vide” is a method of cooking where food is wrapped in plastic, then immersed in a warm water bath where it is cooked through slowly. The dish is presented beautifully and is served with a warm brie fondue, blueberry and beet gel and garnished with beet chip crumbles. Sous Vide Chicken Roulade If you’re in the mood for something cool and light, we recommend the Shrimp Ceviche with Lime Mint Foam for $6! The bright citrus notes and acidity from the lime make this snack extra-refreshing. Shrimp Ceviche And, you may remember the Almond Frangipane Cake ($4.50) from last year! It’s layered with raspberry jam and Belgian chocolate like a Mondrian work-of-art! It just wouldn’t be a Festival of the Arts without a slice of this iconic cake! Almond Frangipane Cake layered with Raspberry Jam and Chocolate at Festival of the Arts But we’re also great admirers of the Pop’t Art: Modern-design Sugar Cookie with Strawberry Filling for $4.50. Pop’t Art There’s something so poetic and DELICIOUS about eating a Pop Art pop tart! Pop’t Art Drinks at Pop Eats! Pop Eats! beverages include three favorites from last year and one BRAND NEW item! The Blue Sky Black Cherry Boba Freeze ($4.50) is a refreshing way to show your appreciation for Pop Eats! with its boba pearls that pop in your mouth! Blue Sky Black Cherry Boba Freeze And the #RainbowSherbetGlitterDreamAle by Playalinda Brewing Co. A.K.A. GLITTER BEER ($4.50) is back, y’all! This drink made our Best of the Fest last year, thanks in large part to its extreme Instagram-worthiness. Don’t forget to hashtag this bad boy when you post it on your social media! Glitter Beer! Click here to read about our Best of the Fest picks from last year’s Festival of the Arts! The Popping Bubbles Cocktail ($10.50) is what we like to call kinetic art — partly because we guzzled ours down quickly! It’s made our best of the fest list in previous years, and it’s still a big hit with us! Popping Bubbles Cocktail And making its big debut this year is the Tomato Soup Can Bloody Mary — LOVE the Andy Warhol reference, you guys! Tomato Soup Can Bloody Mary The Bloody Mary might just be one of the best drinks we’ve EVER had in Disney World! While its appearance is super creative, the flavors are incredible. The whole thing tastes incredibly fresh (almost like you’ve just cooked up your own soup!) for $14. Tomato Soup Can Bloody Mary Overall Pop Eats! still reigns as one of the most unique booths at the Festival of the Arts. The eats and treats not only taste delicious, but they are PERFECT photos for your Instas! If you have to visit one booth during the festival at Epcot, we highly recommend stopping by Pop Eats! this year. What is the best thing you’ve ever had at Pop Eats! during the festival? Konnichiwa from the 2020 Epcot International Festival of the Arts! Goshiki Booth We’ve been giving you the details about this year’s festival as we’ve taken you LIVE around the World Showcase and other spots in the park. But, now we’re taking you to one of the cutest (or most kawaii in Japanese) booths open now through February 24th. The Goshiki Food Studio, which was formerly known as Takumi Table, is basically serving up edible works of ART for the festival. (What else can you expect from such a creative country like Japan??) Goshiki Menu The Taiyaki, which is a Fish-Shaped Cake stuffed with a Sweet Red Bean Filling and served with Green Tea Chocolate and Whipped Cream Cheese, is back again this year for $5.75! Taiyaki The Sushi Donut is also returning with a slight variation from previous years for $8! This time around, the Sushi Donut is made with Salmon, Tuna, Shrimp, Cucumber, and Sesame Seed and then decorated with Wasabi Aioli, Sriracha, and Eel Sauce. Sushi Donut And, we are welcoming the changes with open arms! The sauces on the Sushi Donut are wonderfully spicy, especially when they’re mixed together. They make the sushi melt in your mouth (which is honestly the best way to eat it). While you’re eating, you can also notice how colorful the Sushi Donut is! This is a reflection of the booth’s name, Goshiki, which means five colors (Disney thinks of everything!!). Sushi Donut New for this year, the Vegetable Gyoza is filled with Vegetables and Edamame and sits on top of Truffle-mashed Potatoes, Shiitake Mushrooms, Pepper Strings, and Tonkatsu Teriyaki Sauce. Although we love the teriyaki on this dish, the truffle-mashed potatoes really make it outstanding. The flavors are all so different, but blend together (making us want to grab another round)! Vegetable Gyoza You can wash all the eats down with beverages like the returning Masu Sake in a Traditional Personalized Wooden Cup ($12.50) or the Nomi Masui Draft Lager ($5)! If you love beer like we do, this lager is crisp and easy to drink. Nomi Masui Draft Lager Buuut, if you’re looking for something on the sweeter side, you can snag the Matsuri Cocktail instead for $8.50! The boozy beverage features Frozen Nigori Sake and Calpico with a Strawberry Swirl and Cotton Candy on top. Matsuri Cocktail Even if you aren’t a huge fan of sake, this cocktail isn’t overly sweet! It balances the sake flavors with the Calpico and Strawberry Swirl to round the drink out. But, there’s also the Frozen French Martini at L’Art de la Cuisine Française if you aren’t feeling the sake! Overall We think that the Goshiki Booth has created a variety of eats and drinks for most palettes at this year’s Festival of the Arts. The food is fun and colorful and is a great break away from the more sweet items throughout the festival. Check out the rest of the food booths and menus at the 2020 Epcot Festival of the Arts here! Earl of Sandwich in Disney Springs never lets us down when it comes to needing a great spot for lunch! Earl of Sandwich in Disney Springs And if you’re looking for a sweet treat to follow up one of the shop’s delicious hot and cold sandwiches, then you’re gonna probably gonna love what we found on our latest trip there! That’s right, a new boss is in the house at Earl of Sandwich in Disney Springs — the Cake Boss! A Carlo’s Bakery Treats case has arrived at Earl of Sandwich, serving up a variety of sweet pastry treats to enjoy with your sandwich. Carlos Bake Shop in Earl of Sandwich We picked up two of their offerings, including the Rainbow Cake Slice, which was available for $10.95. The cake came with six layers of vanilla cake, all dyed to make for a beautiful rainbow! Rainbow Cake Slice The side of the cake was frosted with buttercream icing, and came with a generous helping of rainbow sprinkles. Rainbow Cake Slice Overall, we thought this one just tasted like a pretty standard vanilla cake! While the cake was very fresh, and the buttercream was super yummy, we kind of wish that each of the layers had a variety of flavors, instead of just all vanilla. That being said, because of the vibrant colors, kids would probably love this one! Rainbow Cake Slice Then there’s the Black and White Cookie, which is available for $3.95! Black and White Cookie This was delicious, and definitely the standout of the two for us! The cookie was super-soft, without being crumbly. It tasted incredibly fresh, and paired well with the royal icing (which was also very yummy). The chocolate icing tasted a bit like the icing they use on chocolate-frosted donuts, and might have been one of our favorite parts of the whole treat! Black and White Cookie To check out these treats and more from Carlos Bakery, head over to Earl of Sandwich in Disney Springs! Speaking of delicious treats, are you following along with our LIVE post from the first day of Festival of the Arts in Epcot? Follow along here! It was BRIGHT SUNS for us this morning when we scored a boarding group for Disneyland’s Rise of the Resistance opening day today! Rise of the Resistance We were celebrating our mastery over Disneyland’s virtual queue system with a Toydaria Swirl at the Milk Stand until Boarding Group 18 (yeah, we PROS) was called to duty! But then, something TERRIBLE happened! As we loaded our transporter this morning, we felt all those familiar Rise of the Resistance FEELS! You see, we’ve already ridden the AWESOME Disney World version at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Hollywood Studios, so we kinda already knew what we were in for! Rise of the Resistance But then tragedy STRUCK! Our transporter suddenly STOPPED WORKING. Ee gads, MAN! Talk about a major letdown! Avert your eyes if you don’t want to see the saddest Mon Calamari to ever fight the First Order… Rise of the Resistance So…what exactly happens when you’re ushered off the ride before the Resistance can complete its mission? You might remember that Disney World’s Rise of the Resistance also experienced frequent breakdowns when it opened, so Disney has a system in place for what to do when Rise sees a temporary fail! Mon Calamari in more mobile times… In our case, the ride stopped working during the second pre-show, so we were ushered out of the attraction, and told to return to the attraction when we saw more boarding groups being called. For the trouble, we were also given a multiple-experience FASTPASS, which showed up on our My Disneyland Experience app and is good to use as a FASTPASS for any experience in the park. FASTPASS Multiple Experience As with any new attraction (and especially one of this scale!), temporary technical difficulties are not out of the norm, so we’re glad to see that when a breakdown does occur, Disneyland has a system in place to make sure that those with a Boarding Group can get back on in a timely manner. So if your First Order capture is temporarily delayed, don’t panic! Disneyland will make sure you get back on the ride as soon as it’s back up and operating — plus, you may even get an extra FASTPASS for your troubles! Have you been on Rise of the Resistance when it has experienced technical difficulties? Share your thoughts in the comments section! We’ve been LIVING with all the sweets around the 2020 Epcot Festival of the Arts! Fife & Drum To cool off from all our walking around the World Showcase, we’ve tried the Frozen French Martini and the Impressionism Pairing, buuut our tastebuds are singin’ a little tune with a treat that’s BACK AGAIN for this year’s festival! While there are multiple additional locations around the park that are serving up snacks for Festival of the Arts, Fife & Drum is making us march over to the American Adventure Pavilion for the returning Musical Float! A similar version of this drink was called the American Dream! Festival of the Arts Fife & Drum Musical Float The very patriotic slush is swirled up with Strawberry, Lemonade, and Blue Raspberry Slushy flavors AND Vanilla Ice Cream with White Chocolate! Musical Float And, boy is it as pretty as it is sweet! The slushes all have strong fruity flavors, but they are balanced out by the creamy vanilla ice cream. Plus, the white chocolate piece adds a final crunch to the otherwise smooth treat that we LOVE. Musical Float If you need a lil pick-me-up to keep yourself going to all the booths at the Festival of the Arts, the Musical Float is a refreshing sip for only $6.25! And, if you’re wanting more sweets after the float, you can snack your way around the World Showcase with us by following along with our we’re LIVE at the festival! Lunar New Year is officially HERE! And while, today has been an insane day at both Disney World and Disneyland Resort thanks to the opening of Rise of the Resistance, the kick-off of Epcot’s Festival of the Arts, and so much more, it’s time to kick back and relax with some delicious food. Lucky 8 Lantern That’s why we’re giving you the full foodie rundown on the dishes you’ll find at Lucky 8 Lantern in Disney California Adventure. I hope you’re ready to eat with your eyes because this food is both cute and delicious. First up, let’s check out Lucky 8 Lantern’s Lunar New Year food offerings! Eats This year, you’ll find a Shrimp Fried Rice with garlic-bacon edamame for $8.00. While last year this was referred to as Crispy Shrimp Fried Rice, this dish contains the same ingredients. Tasty, tasty, tasty! Crispy Shrimp Fried Rice New this year is the Smoked Beef Bulgogi Short Rib for $8.25! It’s served on a cake of steamed white rice with a crispy green onion salad. We thought this one had a great flavor and texture. The meat was nice and tender and there was a good amount of rice that came with it! The onions added a nice freshness to every bite. Smoked Beef Bulgogi Short Rib Also returning this year is the Mandarin Orange-Green Tea Tart. It’s a tasty tart shell filled with clementine compote and tangerine cheesecake. Pick it up for $5.50! Mandarin Orange Green Tea Tart Drinks The Lucky 8 Lantern is serving a Peach Sojito this year — a Korean take on a classic mojito! It’s made with craft soju, Simply Peach, house-made mint-infused simple syrup, fresh lime juice, and soda water and costs $13. Peach Sojito The peach flavor comes through nicely. They probably could have leaned in a little more on the peach, but maybe that’s just us! The drink comes garnished with a peach slice and mint — we think you’ll like it if you’re into sweet, not-too-strong cocktails! Peach Sojito Other drink offerings include the Hitachino Nest Beer, a Japanese White Ale for $14.25. It’s a great, crisp beer for sipping as you stroll around California Adventure! It’s a big year at Disneyland! Why? Because it’s the Year of the Mouse! Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession We’re reporting LIVE from the Lunar New Year Festival at Disney California Adventure and we’re having a blast! Of course, the festival is home to a bunch of yummy eats at the Festival Marketplaces and we’re swinging by Longevity Noodle Co. to get a taste of some seriously good noods! Longevity Noodle Co. is one of four festival booths that are serving up a variety of Asian dishes inspired by the cultures of China, Korea, and Vietnam. All four booths are available starting TODAY and running through the Festival’s end on February 9th. Obvi, we love us some noodles (who doesn’t?), so we were pumped to check out the options at Longevity this year! Longevity Noodle Co. Eats We were excited to see some new items and a returning faves on the 2020 menu. For instance, the refreshing vegetarian Vegetable Egg Roll and Chilled Sesame-Garlic Noodles dish is back again for $7.00! We loved the texture on this guy last year so it was good to see it gracing the menu again. Vegetable Egg Roll and Chilled Sesame-Garlic Noodles Everything else on the menu is NEW this year though and of course, we tried alllll the options. First up, we snagged the Chicken Meatballs and Lo Mein Noodles for $7.50. This hearty portion is served with Cabbage Salad and an Apple-Ginger Sauce. Chicken Meatballs and Lo Mein Noodles And for dessert? There’s a NEW super interesting Black Sesame Mochi Donut for $6.00! This treat is a chewy Mochi Donut topped with a Black Sesame Icing. Black Sesame Mochi Donut We thought the donut was moist, and had a really good texture. It was soft and just a little dense, but not too sweet at all. The seeds gave it a nice crunch! Black Sesame Mochi Donut Drinks There’s no mixed drink option at this booth, however, beer-lovers can try out the Tsingtao Lager, a pale lager from China for $10.00. It’s the same beer that Shanghai Holiday Kitchen was serving last year at Epcot’s Festival of the Holidays! Tsingtao Beer And if you want to opt for a non-alcoholic option (or you need a kick in the pants to get you through all the festival fun!), you can snag the Vietnamese Cold Brew for $6.50. Vietnamese Cold Brew This drink is a French Bistro Cold Brew with Sweetened Condensed Coconut Milk, House-made Whipped Coconut Cream, and Cacao Powder Topping. If you’re a fan of Vietnamese Cold Brew (which is VE-RY sweet and rich thanks to that condensed milk, YOLO) or sweet lattes, you’ll probably love this drink! If you prefer to drink your cold brew straight up, though, you may find this guy a little TOO sweet! Vietnamese Cold Brew Overall We really enjoy the selection of eats at Longevity Noodle Co. this year! If you’re looking for some tasty noodles or a sweet Vietnamese Cold Brew, you know what to do — head over to this Lunar New Year marketplace STAT! Coca-Cola Slushies (and a sugar rush), here we come! Cool Wash You might have seen the dining location previously known as Cool Wash sitting empty across from Test Track for a little while (aside from a short stint as a 2019 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival booth). Well, Cool Wash is BACK OPEN for the 2020 Epcot International Festival of the Arts and they’re serving up some seriously SA-WEEET Coca-Cola Slushies! Trust us, your kiddos are gonna love this one. Of all the Food Studios around Epcot for the festival, Cool Wash has some of the most fun options in the park! And, this year, the booth is serving up Coca-Cola Slushies for BOTH the adults and kids in your party. 2020 Booth Menu For the kiddos, you can create-your-own Slushy (which fits right along with the artist vibe of the Festival of the Arts) by picking different flavors and toppings for $6! Assorted Coca Cola Slushies For our special creation, we decided to mix Cherry, Blue Raspberry, and Lemonade Slushies stacked with ALL the toppings (so Candy Pebbles, Soul Belts, Gummy Bears, and Cotton Candy)! Our Creation! We couldn’t help but think our slushy was BOMB with its mixture of sweet, sour, and fruity flavors! We could taste the Cherry, Blue Raspberry, and Lemonade with each sip. And, the toppings were a great finish to the treat (especially that good ole’ Disney cotton candy!). While your kiddos will definitely like this one, the grown-ups might want to join in to help make their own creations! Assorted Coca-Cola Slushy Buuut, in case that seems a bit too sweet for your liking, the adults can chill out with the frozen version of a Rum and Coke! Frozen Coca-Cola The Frozen Coca-Cola comes with two options, but we went with the St. Petersburg Distillery Oak and Palm Spiced Rum version for $11! The drink is simple and refreshing, balancing both the Coke Slushy and the alcoholic flavors (perfect for a warm Florida day). If you want something a little stronger, you might want to try the Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey spiked slush for $12 instead! Frozen Coca-Cola So, if you’re looking for a sugary pick-me-up mid-festival, it’s definitely a good idea to swing by Cool Wash! Plus, you can use the energy to follow along with us as we take you LIVE around the Festival of the Arts booths! Check out the rest of the 2020 Epcot Festival of the Arts food booths and menus here!
