The Emporium at Disneyland just got a new style of phone case in for iPhones. ©Disney This is just the latest in a new wave of slick items popping up at the Emporium, including the Redd Minnie Ears (snag these before they’re gone!) and the retro apparel that’s been cropping up from birthday bashes past. And now, this we’re LOVING this new Disney phone case. This new case is based on the movie Up and comes with an eye-popping design! The mousse is loose over at Disneyland’s Jolly Holiday Cafe. The chocolate mousse that is! Jolly Holiday Bakery Disney has brought back the popular Mickey Mouse Club mousse cake from last year and given it a fresh coat of paint, luckily keeping all the chocolaty goodness. This sweet treat is surrounded by a thick chocolate ganache, with a shiny red glaze for the leader of the club, with chocolate discs inserted in the top for the ears. Glamor shot! Emblazoned on the front sits a white chocolate medallion with the classic Mickey Mouse Cub logo (old-school represent!). Look at this work of art! Spread out around the cake are little chocolate chips you can snack on individually or toss them on to the mousse for more sweetness. We approve of more chocolate! Speaking of more chocolate (oh, there’s more!), this entire package sits on top of a crunchy chocolate bar base layer. Chocolate on chocolate on chocolate Once you bite in, you’ll discover the creamy Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee center. Absolutely delicious! Despite the sheer amount of chocolate involved, we found that this cake actually has a light texture and not too rich, perfect for a quick snack while heading to your next destination. Cross-section glory The best part of this cake might be the price. At $4.99, this mousse is practically a steal for how affordable and GOOD it is. Disneyland has been churning out some seriously delicious desserts (and you know we’re ALL about it!). Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland The west coast park may reign supreme when it comes to churros, but they also offer some amazing and unique seasonal treats. You may recall our recent outing to Jolly Holiday Bakery where we sampled the AH-AMAZING Wintery Strawberry Hand Pie. Strawberry Hand Pie They’ve done it again! Their latest creation is the super adorable (and yummy) Mickey Mouse Cookies ‘n Cream Macaron. While we’ve seen a macaron with this design before during Disneyland’s “Get Your Ears On Celebration” last year, this treat is different in terms of flavor. Mickey Mouse Cookies ‘n Cream Macaron Previously, the Mickey Mouse Macaron had vanilla buttercream in the center surrounded and was surrounded by a circle of thick chocolate ganache! Now, the filling is cookies ‘n cream! And we’re quite fond of the change. The cookies themselves are perfectly light and sweet, just as you’d expect from a Macaron. Paige O’Hara is a woman of many – Disney – talents! Not only did she voice Belle in the 1991 classic “Beauty & The Beast,” but she also paints! In fact her work can be seen at this year’s Epcot International Festival of the Arts. During the first few days of the festival, Paige, who typically paints Disney Princesses, took on the challenge of painting the rascal of “Beauty & The Beast” live in the France pavilion! Check out the video above for a look at how the painting session went for the duo. Paige also shares what she loves about the festival and gives a sneak peek at the work she’ll have on display. As Epcot undergoes its multi-year transformation, some attractions close while others have just re-opened such as the new Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along which shares a theater with Impressions de France. Epcot Concept Art And while we bid fare-thee-well to IllumiNations: Reflections of the Earth last fall and have been pleased with the replacement show Epcot Forever, for the time being, we’re ready for the new fireworks show, Harmonious, to begin! Today, Disney shared with us the current status of the new spectacular that will be coming to the World Showcase Lagoon this spring. And although we don’t have an exact date yet when Harmonious is starting, we at least we know we won’t have to wait very much longer! The new show will provide guests with a new magical nighttime experience featuring, “Disney music and images, reimagined by diverse cultural musicians and artists from around the world.” HarmonioUS Read more about Harmonious HERE! In what Disney is boasting will be, “one of the largest nighttime spectacular ever created for a Disney park” several floats have just been delivered to Epcot which will serve as the platforms for the technology Harmonious will feature. Slated to open this winter at Epcot, Space 220 looks like one of the most far-out dining experiencing to come to Disney World in a LONG TIME! Space 220 Concept Art ©Disney And while we’ve yet to see the menu of this out-of-this-world table service restaurant, here’s what we DO know –so far! What is Space 220? Here’s a rundown of just what exactly Space 220 IS and WHY we’re so amped up about it! Run by the Pantina Group, Space 220 is a simulated outer space restaurant. is Guests will board an elevator that will “rocket them” into orbit as they travel to the Centauri Space Station hovering above the Earth. Diners will see daytime and nighttime views of Earth as they’re surrounded by a full panoramic view of space! Why is it called Space 220? The restaurant is theoretically located 220 above the Earth’s surface! Space 220 Where is Space 220 ACTUALLY located? Space 220 Restaurant is located next to Mission: SPACE in Epcot’s Future World East (which is currently under heavy construction due to the Epcot transformation!) Mission: SPACE When will Space 220 be open? While Disney hasn’t officially released the opening date of Space 220, job postings on the Pantina Group’s website have given us reason to believe we’d see the restaurant open sometime in February 2020. Space 220’s job listings had an estimated start date of February 2020 and included positions for front-of-house staff, bartenders, and a replacement for the restaurant’s executive chef when the former head chef stepped down. Wouldn’t it be funny if it opened on 2/20? Get it 220!! Space 220 Construction Find out more about Space 220’s possible opening date here! Which meals will Space 220 serve? Space 220 will be open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! We can’t wait to see the menus once they’re released! What type of restaurant is Space 220? Space 220 will be a table-service restaurant, meaning you will need an advance dining reservation to experience it. Reservations aren’t open at this time, but we’ll let you know as soon as you can book ’em! How much will it cost to eat at Space 220? In the current Epcot guide map, the restaurant is listed as $$-$$$ which places it squarely in the Disney World restaurant’s mid-to-high pricing tier. Space 220 Will Space 220 be on the Disney Dining Plan or offer any discounts? So far, Disney hasn’t announced whether or not Space 220 will be on the Disney Dining Plan or will offer any special discounts, but we’ll keep you posted! Epcot Guidemap What type of food will Space 220 serve? The menu will consist of Internationally-inspired cuisine and will have over 1,000 bottles of the world’s finest wines and a wide selection of craft beer. Epcot is in the midst of an historic, multi-year transformation that is bringing a wide variety of exciting new attractions and experiences to the park. Among these is “Harmonious,” set to debut later this year, which will be one of the largest nighttime spectaculars ever created for a Disney Park. Our Walt Disney Imagineering and Disney Parks Live Entertainment teams recently passed a major milestone in the development of the show, with the delivery of several floating platforms that will provide a base for the technology used to create “Harmonious.” “Harmonious” will bring to World Showcase Lagoon an innovative toolkit of massive floating set pieces that house a variety of show effects, including custom-built LED panels, choreographed moving fountains, colorful lights, lasers, pyrotechnics and more. The show is a beautifully crafted nighttime dreamscape of Disney music and images, reimagined by diverse cultural musicians and artists from around the world. It’s a transformative experience, where we can discover how Disney music has the power to inspire and unite us all. You can catch an early glimpse of concepts for the show now by visiting Walt Disney Imagineering Presents the Epcot Experience, located in the Odyssey Events Pavilion. Over the coming months, with development and infrastructure work for “Harmonious” ramping up both behind the scenes and in the center of the lagoon, we’re pleased to present the limited-time spectacular “Epcot Forever.” “Epcot Forever” has been described as a “love letter” to the park. The show tells the story of Epcot, beginning with the first spark of inspiration and the opening day anthem, “We’ve Just Begun to Dream,” and continuing through chapters dedicated to the thematic pillars of innovation, exploration, imagination and celebration. We’re getting HYPE for the upcoming Magic Happens parade in Disneyland! ©Disney Magic Happens is an all-new daytime parade premiering in Disneyland next month with the goal of celebrating the magic in Disney and Pixar films! We’ve already seen concept art for many of the floats we can expect including a Moana float, a Sleeping Beauty float, and a Coco float. Now, we’re getting to see even more concept art from the parade with a sneak peek straight from Disney, so check out these BEAUTIFUL floats and costumes! Magic Happens Floats The first of the new art that we got a peek at is this gorgeous drawing of the Cinderella float that will ride along the parade route. The float will depict the moment that magic turns a regular pumpkin into the classic Cinderella’s carriage. Wowza! Cinderella Float ©Disney Is there a more magical moment in Disney movies than when Arthur pulls the sword from the stone? We’re not sure! Either way, that famous scene will be seen on The Sword in the Stone float during Magic Happens. We’re pumped for this one since it includes rarer characters, Merlin and Arthur. Sword in the Stone Float ©Disney AND we’ll also get to witness the way that true love’s kiss can transform Tiana and Naveen from frog to human. According to Disney, “Tiana and Naveen from The Princess and the Frog are seen amidst a swirl of golden flowers where they share a kiss, completing their transformation back into human forms.” Princess and the Frog Float ©Disney Magic Happens Costumes Some of the new concept art came in the form of a sneak peek video (more on that later!) that featured designs for many of the performer costumes! We love this gorgeous Coco-inspired ensemble that we’ll hopefully see many of the performers wearing! This week, the National Football League’s biggest stars take over Orlando for the 2020 NFL Pro Bowl! All of the NFL action leading up to the big game happens at Walt Disney World Resort, starting with the Pro Bowl Experience which opens Wednesday at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. The Pro Bowl Experience is an interactive outdoor area where you can test your football skills and see how you stack up against your favorite players in activities such as the 40-yard dash, passing, catching, kicking and the vertical jump. Other immersive exhibits will take you straight into all of the Pro Bowl action and, throughout the week, catch your favorite players preparing for the big game during NFC and AFC practices. There’s no admission charge to both the Pro Bowl Experience, which is open daily from Wednesday to Saturday, and team practices, which are open to the public with the NFL OnePass app. Wednesday is also the debut of the new Pro Bowl Skills Showdown at The Stadium at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex where several Pro Bowl players, including Vonn Miller and Jarvis Landry, will compete in such challenges as Precision Passing, Best Hands, and Epic Pro Bowl Dodgeball, as well as a new challenge – Thread the Needle, where defensive backs will go head-to-head to stop opposing quarterbacks from completing passes. Tickets for the Skills Showdown are available now. The Pro Bowl excitement continues at Walt Disney World Resort all week. On Saturday, head to the Disney Springs Marketplace Stage for the 2020 Pro Bowl Pep Rally. Join NFL team mascots and cheerleaders for a night of dancing, NFL and Disney trivia, food and beverage, and NFL merchandise to help you show off your favorite team pride! There’s no admission charge to the Pep Rally, which is open to the public. Pro Bowl-themed entertainment takes place at 4 p.m., 5 p.m., and 6 p.m. The Pro Bowl game will take place on Sunday at Camping World Stadium at 3 p.m. with several pre-game entertainment happening outside of the stadium. Tickets for the game are still available, or tune in live on ESPN and ESPN Deportes. We are so excited for the debut of “Magic Happens,” the all-new daytime parade coming to Disneyland park on Feb. 28. “Magic Happens” celebrates moments of magic from Disney and Pixar stories, which will be brought to life on a grand scale with stunning floats, artistic costumes and imaginative music co-composed by singer-songwriter Todrick Hall. The parade features distinct stories with a mix of characters, making it feel contemporary and classic, fun and regal, and surprising and familiar – all at the same time. Today we are excited to share a sneak peek, as well as reveal a few more parade floats. The image above shows the magical moment when Cinderella’s grand pumpkin is magically transformed around her into a glistening carriage, whisking her off to the ball. From “The Sword in the Stone,” Merlin wisely leads the way for young Arthur, who finds the magic within himself as he pulls the sword from the stone, claiming his place upon the throne. Disney+ has been around for a few months now and boy, are people loving it! Disney+ Streaming Service ©Disney How many people? Somewhere in the ballpark of 31 million! Needless to say, our collective love for streaming services is seriously directed towards Disney+ right now. Still, there are some parts of the world that have yet to experience the glory of unlimited Disney streaming, namely most of Europe. We’ve known for a while that Disney+ would launch in Europe in 2020, but now it will be available to the public even earlier than we expected. According to the Hollywood Reporter, much of Western Europe will be able to watch their favorite old and new Disney content on March 24th, instead of the originally announced March 31st. The countries included in this earlier release are the U.K., Ireland, France, Spain, Italy, and across German-speaking territories. Disneyland Paris As of right now, the only European country that has access to Disney+ is the Netherlands since it was a test market for the service prior to launch, so there are a TON of people who are still waiting to access the service on the European continent. Outside of the countries who will see the service on March 24th, even more Western European territories will get access to the service this summer, including Belgium, Nordic countries, and Portugal. ©Disney The service is set to cost £5.99 ($7.99) or €6.99 ($7.75) monthly or £59.99 ($79.99) and €69.99 ($77.50) yearly depending on what part of Europe you’re watching from.
