It’s the new year, which means it’s time to talk about how to best plan for your Disney World vacation in 2020! As you know, we here at DFB are all about helping you make sure your time and dollars at the Disney parks are well spent, which is why we’ve put together a list of our top quick-service picks for 2020 for you! Primo Piatto These restaurants will help you stretch that Disney Dining Plan credit without skimping on food quality or atmosphere! And remember — quick-service spots don’t require an advance dining reservation! So without further delay, here are our top nine recommendations for a satisfying fill-up with the BEST value at Disney World! Primo Piatto at Disney’s Riviera Resort Primo Piatto may have just opened in December at Disney’s Riviera Resort, but it’s already made our list of top quick-service spots for 2020! That’s because this fast-casual trattoria is servin’ up some seriously delicious eats. Primo Piatto Sign We’re talking Grilled Hanger Steak for $17.99, Roasted Half Chicken for $15.99, and Shrimp Pasta for $15.99. Let’s not forget they also have a tasty Bacon Cheddar Burger for $14.49 or a lighter Tuna Niçoise Salad for $13.99 if you prefer. Of course, being suckers for French offerings, we can’t resist their Croque Monsieur for $12.99. Primo Piatto Tuna Nicoise Salad Pair any of these entrees with a glass of wine for $12 or a Blue Marble Bloody Mary or Mojito for $10, and you’ve got a Disney Dining Plan credit worth up to $29.99 — a major triumph! Adding to the wonderful food is the atmosphere. For a quick-service, this place is mega posh. With warm, inviting decor, attractive decorative tiles on the floors, an open kitchen, and lots of little upscale touches, this spot feels truly at another level. Primo Piatto Guests also receive food plated on real plates with cloth napkins and metal cutlery — a major jump up from the standard paper and plastic Disney-ware most other quick-service spots serve with. Trays and REAL Cutlery We were quite impressed with everything we tried at Primo Piatto. If you find yourself cruisin’ to or from Epcot on the Disney Skyliner (or you’re staying here!) it’s worth swinging by for a bite or two! Read our review of breakfast and lunch at Primo Piatto HERE! Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo at Hollywood Studios Now that Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is open in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo is dishing out a galaxy of intergalactic delights! Docking Bay 7 Dining Room Choose from the Batuuan Beef Pot Roast for $18.99, Smoked Kaadu Pork Ribs for $16.99, or Endorian Fried Chicken Tip Yip $15.49! And to wash it all down, how ’bout a Takodana Quencher for $15 or Surly Sarlacc for $13? Add an entree and adult beverage prices up and we’re looking at a Disney Dining Plan value of up to $33.99 per person! That’s out-of-this-world AH-mazing! Endorian Fried Chicken Tip Yip We gotta say, we’re a big fan of the specialty cocktails at the hard-to-get-into at Oga’s Cantina, but Docking Bay 7’s are equally good (and don’t require and Advance Dining Reservation!). Takodana Quencher The food here may have odd names but is actually very familiar and approachable. There’s likely something to please everyone in a group, even kids. A real draw of the location though is the incredible theming. You ARE dining in a cargo bay, after all! Take a few moments to explore this detailed space. You never know what (or who!) you’ll find hanging around! Creatures on display! In the mood for otherworldly Star Wars-inspired food outside of Docking Bay 7? We can never go wrong with a Ronto Wrap at nearby Ronto Roasters. You won’t get as much bang for your Dining Plan bucks here as you would in Docking Bay 7, but it’s all REALLY tasty, and many of the same adult drinks at Docking Bay 7 are served here. Click here to read our FULL REVIEW of Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo! Yak & Yeti Local Foods Cafe at Animal Kingdom Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s Yak & Yeti Local Foods Cafe is a returning champion of best value Disney World quick-service restaurants. Lines at Local Food Cafes You’ll find a wide variety of American, Indian, and Korean dishes among the Chinese offerings such as Sweet-and-Sour Tempura Shrimp for $13.99, Teriyaki Beef Bowl for $12.79, and Honey Chicken for $12.29. You also can’t go wrong with their American Kobe Cheeseburger for $15.99 or American Kobe Beef Hot Dog for $14.99. Add a glass of Beso Del Sol Sangria for $11 and you have a Disney Dining Plan value of up to $26.99! Teriyaki Beef Bowl at Yak & Yeti While the outdoor seating at Yak & Yeti is plentiful, it can fill up fast during popular meal times with both humans AND birds looking for a snack. Seating Want a quieter spot to eat? Grab your food and head down to the Royal Anadapur Tea Company and find some auxiliary seating overlooking Discovery River for a quieter, more scenic atmosphere! We’ve consistently had very fresh, flavorful food at Yak and Yeti Local Foods Cafe. If you’re looking to get your fill of veggies (or crispy fried foods…you do you! ) this spot won’t disappoint. The portions are hearty and with plenty of condiments available, you can customize your meal a bit to be just what you want (We’re lookin’ at you, Thai Chili Sauce!). Check out our lunch review at Yak & Yeti Local Foods Cafe here! La Cantina de San Angel at Epcot’s World Showcase There’s no shortage of delicious food at Epcot which can make choosing a restaurant at this Disney park quite the challenge! But one of the spots we keep returning to year after year is La Cantina de San Angel in Epcot’s Mexico Pavilion. La Cantina de San Angel This restaurant overlooks World Showcase Lagoon, meaning if you time your dinner just right, you’ll have prime viewing of Epcot Forever — the new nighttime specular that took over for IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth last year (or if you are going this Spring or beyond, you can check out HarmonioUS once it debuts!). We’ll repeat that: waterfront dining for the Epcot fireworks WITHOUT AN ADR! That’s major, and a big reason this is back on the list this year! Cantina de San Angel outdoor seating The standard Mexican fare at La Cantina de San Angel is also quite delicious, too! Choose from their Tacos de Barbacoa for $14, Tacos de Pollo for $13.75, and Tacos de Pescado for $13.75. Or, if you’re looking to fill your “deep-fried dough and cheese” quota for the day, we love their Empanadas con Queso for $12.25 (this is also a GREAT kids’ meal choice for $8.50!). As for libations, you can get a Patrón Strawberry Margarita on the Rocks for $16.25, or a Blood Orange Margarita on the Rocks for $15.50 putting your Disney Dining Plan value somewhere as high as $30.25! Cheese Empanadas YAAAS This location is classic Mexican food served up fresh and quick in a great location. Even in the summer, the seating area usually maintains a nice breeze and provides great views of World Showcase Lagoon. Located near the front of World Showcase, it’s conveniently accessed from most spots in Epcot. Click here to learn more about La Cantina de San Angel! The Polite Pig at Disney Springs Time to give Disney Springs some love! It would be super-rude of us to not tell you about The Polite Pig! This spot is a modern take on a barbeque joint. It’s been open for a few years now, but it’s become a Disney World staple of ours! The Polite Pig Some of its greatest menu items include Baby Back Ribs for $23, Cedar Plank Salmon for $22, USDA Prime Brisket for $19, or Roasted Half Chicken $17! The Polite Pig has a huge bar menu too including beer, wine, and small-batch cocktails for $7-15! Depending on what your selections are, you could be looking at a Disney Dining Plan Value of around $35 — not shabby at ALL! The Polite Pig We won’t even start to tell you AGAIN how much we adore their phenomenal HALF POUND chocolate chip cookies or their mega, big-as-your-head Hop Salt Pretzel with beer cheese fondue. That’s basically our 2 favorite food groups in one location — huge cookies and pretzels with cheeeeeeese! Hop Salt Pretzel If you’re in the Springs and lookin’ for some tasty food with a great variety, swing on by! We haven’t been disappointed yet! Look back at our first taste of The Polite Pig HERE! Tangierine Cafe at Epcot’s World Showcase We’re heading back to Epcot’s World Showcase to visit the Morocco Pavilion’s Tangierine Cafe! Back before vegetarian and vegan dining options were everywhere in Disney World, Tangierine Cafe was all up on the vegetarian game. They still provide great options for the meatless crowd, and it’s STILL a great value in 2020! And don’t worry — they have TONS of tasty meats on their menu too! Morocco’s Tangierine Cafe Carnivorous offerings include Shawarma Chicken and Lamb Platter for $16.95, Shawarma Lamb Platter for $15.99 and Mediterranean Sliders Combo for $16.95! With beverages including specialty coffee, beer, and daiquiris, you can stretch your Disney Dining Plan value here to around $26.95! Vegetarian Platter at Tangierine Cafe We love this spot for a variety of reasons, but the freshly prepared, unique options on the menu are definitely the biggest one! This is far from your average burgers and fries, but not so different that most guests won’t enjoy it. Plus, you’re served a MASSIVE amount of food here! Next time you’re strolling past the Morocco Pavilion, give Tangierine Cafe a shot! Click here to check out a review of Tangierine Cafe! Satu’li Canteen at Animal Kingdom Satu’li Canteen in Disney’s Animal Kingdom is on our MUST-DO list whenever we visit Disney World. Not only are their bowls completely customizable, but they’re SUPER DELICIOUS! You’ll find this quick-service restaurant in Pandora: The World of Avatar close to Windtraders — where you exit from Flight of Passage (and after waiting in that long line, you’re likely to be hungry!). Satu’li Canteen The Combination Grilled Beef and Chicken Bowl for $16.99 is a huge amount of food (you could even share it and save a quick-service credit if you’re not famished!), and a glass of Banshee Pinot Noir will set you back $11. There are a few other Pandora-exclusive beers as well as their Dreamwalker Sangria to choose from, too! Any way you slice it, you’re looking at a Disney Dining Plan Value of up to $27.99! Combination Bowl at Satu’li Canteen is great for sharing! The unique and customizable bowls here are the star of the show. And with SO many healthy, fresh options, this is FAR from your average theme park fare. Bowls not yo thang? Look to the kids’ menu for the incredible Cheeseburger Steamed Pods (seriously, these are REAL good, y’all.). We still miss these on the adult menu! BUT, if you ask a Cast Member when you order, they’ll often serve you the Cheeseburger Pods a la carte! Check out our full review of Satu’li Canteen HERE! Flame Tree Barbecue at Animal Kingdom The motto of Animal Kingdom’s Flame Tree Barbecue should be, “Come hungry, leave completely and utterly stuffed!” This spot is known for its slow-smoked barbecue and, guys, it does NOT disappoint! This location made our list again this year thanks to the HUGE amount of amazing food you get here. Flame Tree Barbecue You can pick up their Ribs, Chicken and Pulled Pork Sampler for $18.99, St. Louis Rib Dinner for $16.29, Ribs and Chicken Combo for $15.49. Add a Mandarin Orange Vodka Lemonade for $11 and you’ve got a Disney Dining Plan value of up to $29.99! Ribs, Chicken, and Pulled Pork Sampler. That’s a LOT of food! This location also has ample covered seating scattered behind it, so you can likely grab a good spot to chow down. This barbecue is REAL good and a REAL good value. Start workin’ out those arms now so you can handle the massive heft of carrying your tray LOADED with smoked meats and sides to your table! Read more of why we love Flame Tree Barbecue HERE! Sunshine Seasons at Epcot When we have a wide array of dietary preferences to satisfy (or just a hearty appetite!) very few Disney World quick-service spots rise to meet the challenge quite like Sunshine Seasons in Epcot! The restaurant, located downstairs in The Land Pavilion, is set up kind of like a cafeteria with an Asian Noodles Shop, Grill Shop, Sandwiches, and Soups and Salads window. They also have a great dessert counter loaded with unique cupcakes and treats! Sunshine Seasons in The Land Pavilion Some of it’s highest dollar dishes include its Pork Loin for $13.99, Oak-grilled Rotisserie Chicken for $12.99 or its Oak-grilled Salmon for $12.99. You’ll also find a variety of beers, wines and a few mixed drinks ranging from $6.50 to $11.25 to choose from meaning you can make your Disney Dining plan credit worth around $25.24! That’s not quite as BIG of a savings as some of the other spots on our list, but for the selection and quality of eats, Sunshine Seasons is definitely a place we highly recommend! Sunshine Seasons We think everyone in your group will find something they enjoy here — with the wide variety, it’s hard not to! So next time you’re rushing to ride Soarin’ or showing Living with the Land some love, stop by for a meal! Check out our latest review of lunch at Sunshine Seasons! We hope we’ve inspired you to try some of these tried-and-true best values for your quick-service Disney Dining Plan credits! By the way, have you signed up for our newsletter yet? A true festival of a wide array of arts, this event features culinary arts, performing arts, visual arts, and even featured artists. Throw in some of Disney Broadway’s biggest stars, creative workshops and you’ve got a day filled with magical fun for the entire family. The amazing ‘step into’ photo ops can be found in Mexico, Italy, France, United Kingdom and American Adventure Pavilions” shares Tamela. Panel Tip #2 – Sing along with your favorite Broadway Stars at the Disney on Broadway Concert Series Guests can enjoy some of Broadway’s most amazing talent at the Disney on Broadway Concert Series. Every two weeks, different pairs from Disney on Broadway will sing some of your most beloved songs from your favorite Disney Broadway shows. Clara reminds guests show times are as follows: 5:30 PM, 6:45 PM and 8:00 PM daily from January 17 to February 24, 2020. We’ve really been feeling the magic lately at Disney’s Pop Century Resort! The resort has been cooking up some truly magical treats, and we are loving it. Disney’s Pop Century Resort First, we had the Birthday Cake Sundae, and now we have another (similarly colorful!) treat to enjoy at Everything POP Food Court! The Tie-Dye Cheesecake is totally far out! This classic and colorful Pop Century treat definitely looks different than it did when we previously reviewed it, so we were interested to see how it compared. Tie-Dye Cheesecake The psychedelic treat features tie-dyed cheesecake layered on top of red velvet cake. While you might be expecting all kinds of flavors with the multiple colors, the cheesecake here tasted like regular ol’ cheesecake. The taste is super yummy, though, and pairs well with the flavoring of the red velvet cake. Tie-Dye Cheesecake There are a few differences here from the previous iteration! For one, the size is smaller (it used to be served like a piece of cake) and the price has been raised (when we last reviewed the cheesecake it was $3.59, and is now almost $2 higher at $5.49). That being said, we found this treat delicious, and would definitely go back to have it again in the future! If you want to try out the Tie-Dye Cheesecake for yourself, heading on over to the Everything POP Food Court in the Pop Century Resort, where it’s available for $5.49 or a snack credit on the Disney Dining Plan! Still hungry? Check out which 25 Disney snacks you need to try on your next vacation! Have you tried the Tie-Dye Cheesecake at Disney’s Pop Century? Oh Baymax, we wouldn’t dread doctor visits if you were our healthcare provider. You have such an affable, friendly approach! Baymax Pin And while Baymax is no longer greeting at Epcot’s Character Spot as Future World’s transformation is underway, we DID see something at Disneyland today that made us think of HIM! Remember the part where Baymax is petting Hiro’s cat, Mochi? We can’t forget it ’cause it’s one of our favorite scenes in the movie Big Hero 6! And now you can take home a Mochi of your own! These adorable Mochi Plush have arrived in Disneyland and we can’t wait to scratch their little heads! Mochi Plush Of course, our real-life cats and dogs might be a little jealous, so we’ll be hooking those guys up with the adorable new Lady and the Tramp Bowls and Feeding Mats we saw earlier in the parks. And if you’re a TRUE Disneyland cat aficionado and an AP member (lucky you!) don’t forget about the new Annual Passholder-exclusive patio and drinks at Alfresco Tasting Terrace in Disney California Adventure! Check out these adorable Fab Five Necklaces we spotted in Disneyland today! Each one comes equipped with one of the classic “rat pack” buddies! And the design of them is really quite sweeeeet! It looks like they’re holding onto the necklace’s chain with both their hands! Hang in there, baby! Fab Five Necklaces Here’s a close-up on the Mickey Mouse Necklace! He may be holding on for dear life, but he looks pretty casual about it! We love how this necklace comes in a silver metal finish and he’s painted with red, black, and white enamel accents! Mickey Mouse Necklace And check out the Donald Duck Necklace! Alright, he’s looking a little more perturbed about his predicament than Mickey is! Don’t let it ruffle your feathers, Donald — you’re safe with us! The Donald Necklace has a gold-tone finish and is painted with his signature palette of blue, white, and red for his little bow tie! The Festival of the Arts at Epcot has officially begun! Between now and February 24th, 2020, you can immerse yourself in a celebration of culinary, visual, and performing arts! Mexico Donald One of our favorite atmospheric offerings is back in 2020! Last year we shared some hidden characters that you can find throughout World Showcase, and we are so excited to say that the characters are back, with even more fun finds to spot! Some of these characters returned from last year, and others are making an appearance for the first time! Let’s do a little walking tour “around the world” and see who we can find! Our first stop is Mexico, where you can find Dante from the beloved Pixar film Coco! He’s found on the front of the pyramid to the right-hand side. Can you spot Dante?! If you look up close you can see all the vibrant colors! Dante Next, in Norway, we were super excited to see all the Snowgies from Frozen make an appearance! You can find them on the backside of Kringla Bakeri, to your right as you walk towards the restrooms. Snowgies! In the China Pavilion, we spotted Little Brother from Mulan above a bench just past Lotus Blossom Cafe. Little Brother Also spotted in China were Mushu and Cri-Kee! They can be seen as you exit the pavilion, on the wall to the left near where the Jeweled Dragon Acrobats perform! Mushu and Cri-Kee In Germany we managed to find Pascal, Rapunzel’s trusty sidekick from Tangled, not once, but twice! The first time we spotted him was on the clock sign. Pascal And the second time was on the outer building as you make your way towards the restroom. Pascal We even saw Jiminy Cricket from Pinocchio in Italy! He’s a little smaller so he might be harder to spot… Look close! Can you see Jiminy Cricket? …but you can find him right above the doorway to Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar! Jiminy Cricket In the Japan Pavilion, we LOVED seeing Duffy and Gelatoni!! You can see them on the wall of Mitsukoshi. Look at how cute they are!!! Duffy and Gelatoni We noticed Abu in the Morocco Pavilion, up to some sort of mischief as always! If you’ve ever explored the Morocco Pavilion, you know how much of a maze it can be, so all we can say to help you is that Abu is towards the back, near a green door (good luck!). Abu, clearly up to no good! One of our favorite finds was in the France Pavilion, where we found the trio of kittens from The Aristocats, Berlioz, Marie, and Toulouse! You can spot them on the right side of the wall as you make your way back towards Les Halles, near Les Vins des Chefs de France. Berlioz, Marie and Toulouse Finally, in the United Kingdom Pavilion, we found multiple hidden character decals! The first was Peter Pan’s shadow, which was on the backside of The Tea Caddy shop. This one is easier to spot if you’re entering the UK Pavilion from France. Looks like Peter Pan lost his shadow again! And we found one of our favorite trios, Robin Hood, Little John, and Skippy, are near the entrance to The Tea Caddy shop. If you are entering the shop, they are to the right-hand side! Robin Hood, Little John, and Skippy See if you can spot all of these ‘hidden’ characters when you visit the Epcot International Festival of the Arts! Keep up to date with all of the Festival of the Arts happenings here! Which one of these hidden characters is your favorite? Tell us in the comments! Whether you’re commemorating a birthday, an anniversary, or simply having a magical day at the Most Magical Place on Earth, there’s a treat at Disney’s Pop Century Resort that’ll make any day one worth celebrating! Everything POP Shopping & Dining But, prepare yourself, because this is a treat that’s so good, everyone in your group might just want one for themselves! I scream, you scream, we all scream for the Birthday Sundae Cupcake! If this looks familiar, you may remember it from 2018 when we celebrated Mickey’s birthday, and we are so thrilled it’s still around. We love that the presentation has received a bit of an update because this thing is even cuter now. I mean, just look at all the fun colors! Birthday Sundae Cupcake What makes this cupcake absolutely next level is the hardened dark chocolate on top of a pillowy bed of vanilla frosting, which was dyed in a swirl of pink and blue. The chocolate is then topped with sprinkles and a cherry because, of course, you need a cherry on top of the sundae! It only gets better when you cut inside – the funfetti cupcake is filled with a large helping of strawberry jelly! Birthday Sundae Cupcake This treat is totally delicious and tastes just like your classic vanilla funfetti birthday cake…because that’s just what it is! There is a LARGE amount of icing on top, so if that’s you’re favorite part of a cupcake you’re probs gonna want to check this one out. You can find the Birthday Sundae Cupcake for $5.49 (or a snack credit!) at Everything POP Shopping & Dining at Disney’s Pop Century Resort. Well, what are you waiting for?! It’s time to celebrate! Everything OLD is NEW again at Disneyland right now! New Disneyland Popcorn Boxes While last week we saw Disneyland bring back it’s famous 1950’s style popcorn boxes, we just saw a few more relics return from the iconic park’s yesteryears! Wait… what year IS this? We thought it was 2020, but then again, who knows! Stepping into the Disney parks lately is like literally entering a time warp! And while we’ve seen Disney World issue some throwback merch like this 25th Anniversary Disney World Cake Castle Sweatshirt, today we spotted some of Disneyland’s re-released designs — like this 30th Anniversary Disneyland Sweatshirt! 30th Anniversary Disneyland Sweatshirt There’s also this new 35th Anniversary Disneyland Shirt! Some of us here at DFB are even old enough to still have these shirts hanging in our closets (hey, it’s tough to part with our Disney stuff!), we do have some young whippersnappers who’ll finally get to own a classic tee such as this! Actually, this stuff looks like new-old stock the way it’s slightly distressed and worn-looking! It’ll be hard to tell the difference which is new and which is an original from back-in-the-day! 35th Anniversary Disneyland Shirt Not traveling to Disneyland Resort anytime soon?! Well, no need to worry because you get snag the 35 Years of Magic tee online for $34.99. Click here to check it out! Hey, DFB friends! Raise your hand if you’re a fan of Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’?! (FYI, we’re currently raising both hands!) Homecomin’ Sign We’re quite fond of this Disney Springs staple, and are always thrilled to find new items on its menu! Recently, we spotted a few new items on the Homecomin’ menu, and of course, we had to try some of them out to share our review with you — no need to twist our arm! New Homecomin’ Starter Okra Fries New Items at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ Okra Fries have been added to the list of starters at Homecomin’! We were definitely intrigued when we saw this new addition on the menu! Okra Fries at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ The Okra Fries at Homecomin’ are described as hand-cut okra, lightly battered and crispy fried, and served with their delicious icebox dressing. Okra Fries at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ This okra dish was an absolute HIT! The fries themselves are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The batter packs a punch of flavor, as it’s well-seasoned with paprika and parmesan. There is nothing bland about this dish! Okra Fries and Icebox Dressing at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ While some okra dishes can have a bit of a strange texture, there was none of that here! The okra itself is soft, but definitely keeps its shape. We don’t know what southern spell they used to create this, but the texture is great! Okra Fries at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ The okra fries are perfectly complimented by Homecomin’s own icebox dressing, which is so yummy we could put it on EVERYTHING! This dressing is also served with their chicken tenders and burgers, and we shamelessly ask for “extra please!” anytime we see it as part of a dish. Icebox Dressing at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ Available for $11, this dish is great for sharing, and we will definitely be trying it over and over again! New Homecomin’ Drink Floradora Floradora — New Drink at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ is notorious for having delicious drinks. So, of course, when we saw a new one added to their menu, we had to give it a try! Floradora The Floradora is made with Fords gin, freshly muddled raspberries, lime juice, simple syrup, and a splash of Q Spectacular Ginger Beer. Floradora This drink was fresh, unique, and elevated! The color of it makes it look like a standard, sweet, mixed drink — but we were quickly reminded to never judge a book by its cover! Floradora The Floradora has a complex flavor profile due to the gin and ginger beer. The muddled raspberries and ginger beer lend a great “texture”, and the lime juice gives it a strong bite! Floradora We found ourselves finding something “new” about this drink with every sip. We just love drinks that keep us guessing! Just know that if you’re looking for a sweet drink on the menu, this ain’t it! Although the gorgeous drink features raspberries and simple syrup, it’s definitely not a sweet drink! You can try out the Floradora for yourself for $12! Stay tuned for additional reviews as we look forward to trying even more new Homecomin’ items in the future! Cheers, friends! Click here to read even more about our favorite drinks and REFILLABLE SIPPERS at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’! Will you be trying the Okra Fries or Floradora the next time you visit Homecomin’? I’m thrilled to share some wonderful news for fans of Duffy and his friends. CookieAnn, Duffy’s creative, food-loving friend, has arrived on Oʻahu to bring her recipe for friendship to Aulani, A Disney Resort and Spa. In an Aulani-exclusive outfit that celebrates her imaginative spirit, CookieAnn showcases her passion for the culinary arts in a pretty pink outfit adorned with a colorful sweet treat motif. Her look is topped off with her signature chef’s hat, with a beautiful pink flower inspired by the flowers of Hawaiʻi. So, how did Duffy’s inventive friend arrive at Aulani Resort? Here’s the story of how CookieAnn came to bring her delicious recipes and creative spirit to Hawaiʻi. Duffy and his friends were planning a lūʻau to welcome CookieAnn, who loves to put things together to create something new and interesting, like delightful recipes and desserts. Duffy and his friends decorated with beautiful flowers like plumerias and prepared snacks and fruits that are enjoyed in Hawaiʻi. As soon as she arrives, CookieAnn is fascinated by so many things she had never seen or smelled, such as pretty flowers, tropical fruits and a never-ending blue ocean. All these sights and scents inspired CookieAnn to decorate plain cupcakes with blue icing, slices of star fruit and mango, and a plumeria flower to create a tropical cupcake. Duffy and his friends are all excited that CookieAnn shared her liking of Hawaiʻi in such a delectable way. They all enjoyed the cupcakes and the special time of friendship together. Join us all in welcoming CookieAnn to Aulani Resort! View the full article

The 2020 Epcot Festival of the Arts is ready to celebrate all things art (and food) this year! 2020 Epcot Festival of the Arts While we’ve already tried the Artist Palette Jumbo Chocolate Chip Cookie, Almond Frangipane Cake, and EVERYTHING at Decadent Delights, we’re taking you with us to taste the most FUN dessert at this year’s festival! The Festival of the Arts Mini-cake has returned! And this a glorious piece of messy artwork at Sunshine Seasons in the Land pavilion! Festival of the Arts Cupcake Although the decorations are ADORABLE, they’re not the star of the show. Our pretzel rod paint brush happened to be a lil soggy, even though we would have liked a slight crunch! Cupcake Decorations Buuut, this is still one of the BEST mini-cakes we’ve ever had at Sunshine Seasons! The vanilla cake is so moist and flavorful that each bite practically melts in your mouth. Plus, the peanut butter buttercream is SO GOOD that we could basically eat an entire paint jar of it! Although the flavors are simple, they work together wonderfully like a true masterpiece! Colorful Cake! You can add the Festival of the Arts Mini-cake to your dessert crawl in Epcot for $5.99 or a Disney Dining Plan snack credit (just be sure to bring napkins!). Festival of the Arts Cupcake Still hungry for more dessert? Then, you can check out all the treats being offered at this year’s festival here! Will you be going to Festival of the Arts this year?
