The 2020 Epcot International Festival of the Arts is officially HERE! And, you know what that means… Epcot 2020 Festival of the Arts Lots of food, merchandise, and (of course) ART! We’re reporting LIVE from the parks today to check out all of the treats and eats around the festival. While we’ve already reviewed L’Art du Cuisine Francaise, Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company, and The Masterpiece Kitchen, it’s time to check out the food over at Mosaic Canteen! Are ya ready? I sure know we are! While everything on the menu this year is returning, we still thought we’d share all the delicious eats and drinks with ya. 2020 Mosaic Canteen Booth Eats The Spiced Beef with pine nuts and dried cherries, hummus and pita chips is back. This is a nice light option that has an interesting twist in terms of flavor thanks to the pine nuts and dried cherries. Hummus Trifle We also think this is a good little snack for those trying to stay on the healthier side when visiting the festival for $9 or a Disney Dining Plan snack credit. It can be hard…desserts are EVERYWHERE!! Hummus Trifle Another delicious item is the Mediterranean Flatbread with Zaatar, olive oil artichoke, olives, mozzarella, and feta cheese. Mediterranean Flat Bread This is a wonderful choice for those with a vegetarian diet. The ingredients are really fresh and light, which we enjoy for the $9 or DDP price tag! Mediterranean Flat Bread Another item on the menu is the Chebbakia. These are hand-twisted strips of fried dough coated with honey, rosewater, and sesame seeds. These are sticky sweet little crunchy babies of goodness for only $6 or a Disney Dining Plan credit. Chebbakia: Hand-twisted Strips of Fried Dough coated with Honey, Rosewater and Sesame Seeds Drinks This booth also serves up a Casa Beer for $4.50, Kabash Prestige White Wine for $6, and Embrace the Arak with Massaya Arak, grapefruit juice, and grenadine for $9. Embrace the Arak: Massaya Arak, Grapefruit Juice, and Grenadine Overall Overall, we think this is a great spot to hit up if you’re looking for a more savory snack with rich and interesting flavors. There is a wide variety of options and the eats aren’t too filling, so you can keep making your way around the festival without a stuffed belly. Luckily, the festival runs from today, January 17th – February 24th, so we have plenty of time to eat these things over and over again. Be sure to check out the rest of the FOOD and BOOTHS at this year’s festival! And, follow us as we report live from the park today, so you can see all of the food, merchandise, and entertainment. What’s your favorite booth at the Festival of the Arts? Let us know in the comments below! Related posts: FULL REVIEW of L’Arte de la Cuisine Francaise at the 2020 Epcot Festival of the Arts! Review! Greetings from Epcot’s International Festival of the Arts! We are loving SO MUCH of the tasty food we’ve sampled so far! 2020 Epcot Festival of the Arts Don’t worry — the festival will be running through February 24th, 2020, so there’s plenty of time for you to get down here! Now it’s time for us to pull up a seat at The Artist’s Table! As always, a highlight for us here at DFB are the Food Studios located around Epcot’s World Showcase, much like the Marketplace Booths you’ll find at Epcot’s International Food and Wine Festival. And Epcot’s Festival of Arts eats are especially pretty to look at! They’re like eating little works of art! The Artist’s Table You’ll find The Artist’s Table over by the American Adventure Pavilion. We’re excited to see several returning favorites this year, including the delicious Sipping Chocolate Flight! 2020 The Artist’s Table Menu Food Focusing on the savory offerings, we’re also happy to see the return of the Beef Wellington! For $8.25, it comes served with mushroom bordelaise, fennel cream, and roasted baby vegetables, — and it’s a delight! Beef Wellington The Pan-Seared Scallop is also coming back! We think you’ll love the flavors of this one. It’s served with chorizo, roasted red pepper coulis, and a parmesan crisp and costs $7.00. Pan-Seared Scallop For sweets, we turn your attention to the Artist Palette Jumbo Chocolate Chip Cookie! For just $5.50, this one’s a festival-MUST if you haven’t had it before. Sure it’s tasty, but it’s also super-cute to take pictures holding! Artist Palette Jumbo Chocolate Chip Cookie Check Out Full Menus For The 2020 Epcot Festival of The Arts! We were thrilled to see the Sipping Chocolate Flight return! Who doesn’t love drinking chocolate, after all? White, milk and dark chocolate shots for $8.00 are the MAIN ATTRACTION for us at The Artist’s Table! Callebaut Belgian Sipping Chocolate Flight And if you like sipping your chocolate with a little booze in it (who doesn’t, right?!) you’ll wanna sample the Symphony in Chocolate Flight for $13.00. Unlike the other Sipping Chocolate Flight, this one’s for adults only! It’s white, milk and dark chocolate with the addition of Mozart Cream Liqueurs and this one’s hitting ALL the right notes with us! Symphony in Chocolate Flight Another returning favorite of ours is the Chocolate and Beer Pairing Flight for $12.00! It features the booth’s three chocolate beers (which you can also buy individually) — Saugatuck Brewing Co.’s Neapolitan Milk Stout from Douglas, Michigan, Lexington Brewing Company Kentucky Vanilla Barrel Cream Ale, and the fruity Lindemans Framboise from Lambic, Belgium! Chocolate and Beer Pairing The Artist’s Table also features wine by the glass including an Ame Du Vin Cotes De Provence Rosé for $6.00 and Carmel Road Drew’s Blend Pinot Noir from Monterey County, California for $7.00! Overall Although The Artist’s Table isn’t bringing anything new to this year’s festival, many of its offerings have become Festival of the Arts fundamentals to us! Since this is only the fourth Festival of the Arts and maybe your first time experiencing it, we think you should definitely make a stop to sample their festival fare! The 2020 Epcot International Festival of the Arts is taking place now through February 24th, 2020. Check out the full rundown of Booths, Menus, and Food Photos Here. Amore is a beautiful thing, but have you SEEN the amazing eats and treats at the 2020 Epcot Festival of the Arts?? L’Arte di Mangiare Booth 2020 While we’ve been indulging ourselves with some of our returning faves, we’re heading to the Italy Pavilion for an entire menu full of NEW items that we just can’t resist! It feels like a bella notte with the Italian inspired dishes at the L’Arte di Mangiare booth! L’Arte di Mangiare Menu While you can sip on the Amaretto Bellini ($11.00) and Vodka Rossini ($13.00) again this year, the food is all BRAND NEW (so obviously we have to try everything). Vodka Rossini To start your feast, you can take a bite of the Insalata di Gamberi al Limone di Zagara ($10.00), which is a salad made of Sicilian Lemons, Arugula, Shaved Fennel, Avocado, and Poached Shrimp with Citrus Dressing. Insalata di Gamberi al Limone di Zagara While the shrimp is very flavorful and fresh, somehow the SALAD is the winner! There is a light lemony taste that is just sooo good (now we want every salad to taste like this). Insalata di Gamberi al Limone di Zagara Then, you can dig into the Pollo ala Pirandello ($10.00), or simply a Golden Chicken Drumstick stuffed with Ricotta Cheese and Pomodoro Sauce. Pollo ala Pirandello We LOVED the chicken drumstick. Although the meat is moist (and we think you can never go wrong with some cheese), the Pomodoro sauce makes this snack all the better! There is a bit of heat, but lots of fresh flavors from the tomatoes. Pollo ala Pirandello And, what’s a meal without some dessert?? This year, L’Arte di Mangiare is switching things up from the Spuma al Miele d’Arancio to the new Rossini! Rossini The Prosecco Mousse is topped with Strawberry Sauce, Whipped Cream, a Strawberry, and Chocolate Pieces. But, this is definitely a treat for the grown-ups since it contains alcohol (we’re not complaining!). Sadly, we couldn’t tell that this was an alcoholic beverage because we didn’t taste the Prosecco at all. Fruity AND Fun!! Some desserts fill you up quickly, but the Rossini is so light and creamy that we couldn’t get enough of it! The strawberry flavors are fresh without tasting artificial. Plus, the chocolate pieces on top add a hint of cocoa that makes the Rossini all the better! This treat will cost ya $10.00. Rossini Everything at the Italy Pavilion is worth trying this year if you’re stopping by the Festival of the Arts in Epcot! But, if you’re still hungry afterward (how can you not be with all the amazing food?!), you can follow along with us LIVE as we take you around the World Showcase and more! Check out the rest of the food booths and menus at this year’s Festival of the Arts here! Will you be going to L’Arte di Mangiare to try all the new menu items? Let us know in the comments below! We’ve recently shared details about new experiences and merchandise offerings celebrating the Year of the Mouse and Lunar New Year at Disney Parks around the world. Today, I’m excited to share that Disney Parks have teamed up with award-winning couture fashion designer Guo Pei, facilitated by the Asian Couture Federation, to create new Lunar New Year-inspired outfits for Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse. Known throughout the fashion world in both China and internationally, Guo Pei has won dozens of awards for her beautiful, intricate designs. Her dresses can be found in fashion shows around the world and at events such as the Met Gala in New York. She is known for her devotion to conserving the traditional art of Chinese embroidery. As seen above, Guo Pei herself revealed these new outfits with Mickey and Minnie at Disney California Adventure park earlier today. Guests visiting the park can meet Mickey and Minnie donning these new outfits now through Feb. 9 at Paradise Gardens Park. At Shanghai Disneyland, from Lunar New Year through Lantern Festival (Jan. 25 – Feb. 8), Mickey and Minnie will also welcome guests in these new outfits in front of a Lunar New Year background on Mickey Avenue. In addition, both parks have exclusive merchandise featuring Guo Pei’s elegant designs. At Disney California Adventure park, guests can purchase a Lunar New Year red envelope set and an Annual Passholder exclusive T-shirt for women. These products are available at Seaside Souvenirs as well as other various locations at Disney California Adventure park. Guests visiting Shanghai Disney Resort can purchase a limited release Mickey and Minnie plush set wearing the new outfits as well as a limited edition pin at Avenue M Arcade on Mickey Avenue. Check out this blog post from earlier this week for a shopping guide to even more merchandise celebrating Lunar New Year. We’re livin’ la belle vie at the 2020 Epcot Festival of the Arts in Disney World! L’Art du Cuisine Française Booth It really is a wonderful day in Epcot as we take you LIVE with us to snack and sip around the World Showcase! It’s hard to not think of food as an art with all the gorgeous and delicious dishes we’re seeing today, like the Rose Panna Cotta and the Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich Funnel Cake. Buuut, now we’re giving you a taste of one of the greatest cuisines in the WORLD at the France Pavilion! The L’Art du Cuisine Francaise (or “The Art of French Cuisine”) really makes food look like a masterpiece at this year’s Festival of the Arts. And, we are eating them ALL! L’Art de Cuisine Francaise While there are some new items, there are a few returning items from last year on the menu, including the Moelleux Aux Chocolats Valrhona. Moelleux Aux Chocolats Valrhona The Molten Chocolate Cake is made with Pure Origin Valrhona Chocolates (which is a great treat for all you chocolate lovers out there!). Moelleux Aux Chocolats Valrhona The Crème de Brie en Petit Pain (one of our 2019 Festival FAVES) has also returned again for the festival with its warm creamy Brie in a House-made Bread Bowl. How dreamy does that cheese look? IMHO, very dreamy. Crème de Brie en Petit Pain Buuut, the rest of the menu is is full of NEW items! First up, we tried the Tomate Farcie Faҫon Paul Bocuse. This hefty and high-brow dish is a Tomato stuffed with Braised Ribs Paul Bocuse-style! Tomate Farcie Faҫon Paul Bocuse Although we were really excited to try this, we have to say that there wasn’t much flavor. The tomato wasn’t very juicy and the beef didn’t have much seasoning. We think that if there had been a bit more spice, it would have been super tasty, though! Tomate Farcie Faҫon Paul Bocuse Yet, the Trio de Macarons packed plenty of fruity flavors to make up for it with an assortment of Three House-made Macarons in an adorable gift box! Trio de Macarons The macarons at the France Pavilion have been a favorite of ours for YEARS, and they just keep getting better and better! Trio de Macarons The trio this year features Lime… Lime Macaron …Strawberry… Strawberry Macaron …and Chocolate macarons (all of which are crunchy, sweet, and wonderful!). Chocolate Macaron Of course, no celebration of French cuisine would be complete without a renowned cocktail and some wine! The mixed drink at this studio is a Frozen French Martini made with Grey Goose, Vodka, Chambord Liqueur, and POG Juice (Pineapple, Orange, and Grape) with a Lemon-Lime Foam. Frozen French Martini Along with those macarons, the Frozen French Martini is extremely delightful. While it’s slightly sweet, it doesn’t have too much overwhelming fruity flavor! Honestly, it’s so refreshing that we almost want to just relax at the France Pavilion and sip on three of these. BUT, we have more booths to share with you! ;D Frozen French Martini Oh, and did we mention that there was wine?! We especially loved the French Sparkling Wine, which is a crisp and tasty Veuve du Vernay, Brut N°1, Limited Edition. French Sparkling Wine All in all, we thought the eats and sips at L’Arte de Cuisine Francaise this year were très délicieux! It only makes us more excited to make our way to the other Food Studios around the World Showcase and beyond. We’re LIVE from the 2020 Epcot International Festival of the Arts so you don’t miss a beat! Is there a French dish that’s calling your name? Tell us what looks good to you in the comments below! The 2020 Epcot Festival of the Arts is finally HERE! And while this festival celebrates the arts in its many disciplines, including visual, performing, and culinary — sometimes you just need a good cup of coffee and donut to really appreciate ’em! Donald Duck appreciates FINE art when he sees it! That’s why, in celebration of this year’s Festival, Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company will be offering FOUR Festival specialty drink and donut pairings at their various Epcot locations! Let’s check ’em out together! Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company is a great place to stop for a caffeine boost on busy park days, so we were psyched to check out their Festival of the Arts-exclusive drinks — all paired with their own delicious pastry! There are four unique offerings across the park, each available at a different Joffrey’s location! And don’t worry, you can get any of these coffee drinks served hot or iced! Joffrey’s And to keep it artsy (this is Festival of the Arts, after all!), each pairing is themed after a specific movement! Learning Art History while eating donuts and drinking Lattes? Only at Disney World, folks! Over at the Joffrey’s in Canada, we found the Impressionism Pairing, which is a blackberry iced latte topped with a blueberry donut and whipped cream. Um, YUM! We got all our drinks served cold since it was a warm day. This one was our FAVORITE of them all, btw! Great for berries lovers! Joffrey’s Canada Impressionism Pairing At the Showcase Plaza Joffrey’s, we picked up the next one, the Renaissance Pairing. It’s a mocha latte served with a glazed donut and sprinkles. Renaissance Pairing The donut was delicious and the sweetness went really nicely with the chocolatey coffee drink. This pairing was one of the more simple ones, so if you prefer your coffee and donut pairings to be straight-forward, go for this classic! Renaissance Pairing At Future World East Joffrey’s we admired the Modern Pairing, a coconut latte that comes with a chocolate cake donut, topped with whipped cream and sprinkles! Modern Pairing The coconut of the latte was subtle while the chocolate donut was super dense and moist! We never knew Modern Art could taste THIS yummy! Modern Pairing Donut Lastly, we swung by the American Adventure Joffrey’s, where they’re serving the Baroque Pairing, a white mocha latte layered with a red velvet donut and sprinkles! Baroque Pairing The white chocolate in the mocha drink added some nice sweetness and the red velvet donut was a big CHONK of deliciousness! Baroque Pairing Check out ALL the Food Studios you can find at the Festival of the Arts here! We really enjoyed all four of these fine Latte & Donut pairings! They were just the pick-me-up we needed in between our trips to the Decadent Delights and Artista Hambriento food studios which you can also read our reviews of here! You can also follow along with us as we report LIVE from Festival of the Arts! What are you be checking out any of the Festival-exclusive pairings that Joffrey’s will be offering? Bonjour! Whether they’re managing immersive merchandise experiences or bridging the gender gap in the technology field, thousands of #WomenBehindtheMagic across the globe deliver Disney magic to guests every day. For Cynthia Meeusen, Director of Attractions Maintenance, Central Shops and FOS Development and Integration at Disneyland Paris, making magic means ensuring the performance and safety of attractions and experiences in the parks. She also is helping to develop the upcoming expansion of Walt Disney Studios Park – which includes a new Marvel-themed area called Avengers Campus, along with “Frozen” and Star Wars-themed areas, part of a multi-year park expansion that will begin opening in phases in 2021. Cynthia was drawn to her current role because of her love for science. As a child she was always drawn to solving real, tangible problems – which fit well with biology, math, physics, and understanding people. Whether she’s designing a new system for guests to experience or repairing a technical problem, she finds it rewarding to see the immediate result that brings magic to guests. “My career aspirations as a child rotated between astronaut, cement-truck driver and ballerina, shared Cynthia. “I was well rounded!” Cynthia’s Disney career began in 2001 as a Biosystems Engineer for the Epcot Science team at the Walt Disney World Resort. Seven years later her career went international when she accepted a short term assignment in January 2008 at Disneyland Paris to assist with Crush’s Coaster attraction reliability. “I said yes! Then, once I was on site for a few months, the Director of the Engineering team asked if I would be interested to stay on the team full-time as Principle Engineer – and I said yes again,” explained Cynthia. At that point, Cynthia was responsible for the Disneyland Paris Scientific Systems team – the group of engineers and support staff who design the electric and electronic systems that run attractions and shows. She briefly returned to Orlando in 2015 to tackle major Walt Disney World expansions including, Pandora – The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, along with Toy Story Land and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. All these opportunities led her to where she is today. In 2016, she became Director of Attractions Maintenance at Disneyland Paris. Today, her team is made up of approximately 900 technicians, artists, engineering specialists and support staff who are responsible for the technical function and show sparkle in both parks. ‘Pandora – The World of Avatar’, was a project that will always stand out to Cynthia. However, she sees the upcoming expansion of the Walt Disney Studios Park as an opportunity to take guest offerings here at Disneyland Pairs to the next level! “Disneyland Paris has invested an incredible amount into this amazing expansion – with new lands, park features, shows and attractions,” Cynthia explained. “The overall plan is wonderfully diverse and rich, and it will change the face of our parks forever. I’m very excited to help bring this vision to life!” When Cynthia first arrived at Disneyland Paris in 2008, she didn’t know a word of French, and thought her visit would only last for three months. More than ten years later, she still calls Disneyland Paris home and now leads an incredible team. Her advice for other young women who aspire to work in this typically male-dominated field is to not self-impose limitations. Be brave, be positive, and accept challenges. “I’m lucky to work for a company where diversity and inclusion matters,” said Cynthia. “At Disney, we celebrate equality, and I’m proud to be part of a generation of female leaders who can inspire other young ladies to aim for a technical career.” Cynthia is just one of the many women bringing Disney magic to guests and fans around the world, so stay tuned to the blog for inspiring #WomenBehindtheMagic stories. It’s finally the 2020 Epcot Festival of the Arts, and we’re ready to join in the fiesta! 2020 Epcot Festival of the Arts While we’ve already had a tasted the delicious offerings at the Decadent Delights food studio, now we’re about to dig into some good ole’ Mexican food (one of our favorites). Over at the Mexico Pavilion, El Artista Hambriento (or The Hungry Artist) is grilling up LOTS of new menu items for the festival this year! Although there was the Chocoflan for dessert last year, the 2020 menu is all about the savory eats! El Artista Hambriento Here are the eats they’ll be servin’ up for 2020! Food El Artista Hambriento Menu The Sopes de Chilorio from 2019 has been switched to the Sopes de Barbacoa for 2020. The Fried Guajillo Corn Shell is filled with Braised Barbacoa Beef, Black Beans, Cotija Cheese, Mexican Cream, and Chives. Sopes de Barbacoa We SERIOUSLY loved the updated version! We’re talkin’ a major contender for our Best of the Fest list this year (which we’ll be putting together once we finally sample everything this year! Stay tuned!) The shell was nice and crunchy while the beef was well seasoned (just a little spicy!) We thought the portion size was really generous, too! Sopes de Barbacoa Cross-Section As a replacement for the Callo de Hacha, the Agave Pork Belly is being grilled up with Pumpkin Seed Pesto Lentil Salad. While we thought the pork belly was super delicious and buttery, we found our cut to be especially fatty. Maybe yours will be a little better, but this is Pork Belly, so expect a rich flavor! The sauce was nice and creamy with a lot of great flavors, and the lentils were yummy as well. Agave Pork Belly Drinks The Frida Banana Daiquiri is new to the 2020 Festival of the Arts! The frozen drink will feature Mexican Handcrafted Rum, Banana Purée, and Applejack! Unfortunately, the slushy machine wasn’t working when we stopped by, but we’ll return to review it once they’ve worked out the kinks! Frida’s Not Here Yet, But We’ll be BACK! We DID, however, get the chance to try the new Diego Blackberry Margarita! Made with 100% Agave Tequila, Blackberry Purée, Fresh Jalapeño-Lime Juice, this drink comes served with a Black Ant Salt Rim. Yes…ants! While they’ve offered this ant option for a while, you will want to ask for regular salt as a substitute if you aren’t looking for an ant-covered rim. We thought it was a good marg, but a little on the sweet side for us. We were hoping for more heat from the jalaneño to come through, but it was pretty lost on us. Diego Blackberry Margarita: 100% Agave Tequila, Blackberry Purée, Fresh Jalapeño-Lime Juice served with Black Ant Salt Rim We also sampled the new Mexican White Sangria featuring white wine, fruit juices, and sweet cinnamon-infused tequila! It was fruity, light and refreshing! Mexican White Sangria Check out the rest of the booths at the Festival of the Arts here! Overall Epcot’s Mexico knows how to bring the party to the festival, and this time’s no exception! If you love sopes and sweet drinks, swing by and sample their delicious offerings which pair really well with each other! And don’t forget to follow along with us as we report LIVE from the park today! What are you looking forward to trying the most at El Artista Hambriento? Let us know in the comments below! It’s no secret that the arts are important to all of us here at Walt Disney World Resort. After all, we’re a company that was started with a drawing of a small mouse! There are so many incredible arts-focused nonprofit organizations in the Central Florida region, and we are proud to be part of a blossoming community where, together, we ignite imaginations of all ages by offering enriching experiences that spark lifelong engagement and appreciation for the arts. When we were bringing the all-new “Tales As Old As Time: French Storytelling on Stage and Screen” exhibit to life at Epcot, we knew we had to celebrate some of our community friends who are making a big difference within our very own vibrant art scene right here in Central Florida. Now open in the Palais du Cinéma in the France pavilion, the exhibit explores how iconic stories we know and love made their transformation from page to stage, and includes some amazing props from the live-action screen adaptations of Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella and The Three Musketeers. But that’s not all. Guests will also find featured items from local, French-inspired productions by the Orlando Ballet, Opera Orlando and The Garden Theatre—offering a unique new way for families to learn more about the arts and providing an outlet for our incredible community organizations to reach even more people, expanding their missions to connect children and families to the arts well beyond the Central Florida region. And, to showcase the wide range of arts-centric organizations across the Sunshine State, Guests will also find beautiful costumes from stage productions from Florida State University’s College of Music. “We’ve reached so many Central Floridians through our organization, and being included in this new exhibit at Walt Disney World is an unprecedented opportunity,” said our friend, Shane Jewell, executive director of the Orlando Ballet. “We are just so thankful for Disney’s willingness to not only support our world but to also invite us into theirs, providing us with a new way to reach even more people with our art.” Be sure to check out the new exhibit next time you visit Epcot—we promise it will leave you Feelin’ Good! The 2020 Epcot International Festival of the Arts is in full swing from January 17th through February 24th. Funnel Cake Booth And, while we’ve been having plenty of savory eats around the World Showcase, now we’re satisfying our sweet tooth at the American Adventure Pavilion! PB&J sandwiches are an American staple for families everywhere. That’s why the Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich Funnel Cake sounds AH-MAZING for the Festival of the Arts! Festival of the Arts Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich Funnel Cake The funnel cake is topped with peanut butter ice cream, marshmallow cream, and raspberry glaze (and approved by kids!). Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich Funnel Cake Sooo, after one bite, we were ready to buy 100 of these bbs! The funnel cake is crispy and melts in your mouth — especially since the PEANUT BUTTER ICE CREAM (!!!) and marshmallow cream are very creamy in between the lil sandwich! Peanut Butter Ice Cream and Marshmallow Cream The raspberry sauce isn’t too overpowering, so the treat mostly tastes like a peanut butter flavored treat (which we definitely don’t mind)! Raspberry Glaze The Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich Funnel Cake is a bit on the smaller side, so you should totally just grab two! If you’re going to try anything at the Festival of the Arts this year, we think that this is the just might be the winner. Yeah, it’s that GOOD! Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich Funnel Cake Check out the rest of the Festival of the Arts booths and menus here! You can find it The Funnel Cake Stand at the American Adventure Pavilion for $9.50! We’re getting our snackin’ and sippin’ on at the 2020 Epcot Festival of the Arts! 2020 Epcot Festival of the Arts And, while we’ve been loving the eats and treats at places like Decadent Delights and the Refreshment Port, we’re taking you with us to try a culinary masterpiece in the World Showcase! We’re traveling to the Canada Pavilion ’cause The Masterpiece Kitchen is serving up new and returning favorites for this year’s festival! The Masterpiece Kitchen 2020 Menu While you can indulge in something savory with the returning Wild Mushroom Risotto with Aged Parmesan, Truffle Shavings, and Zinfandel Reduction… Wild Mushroom Risotto …or the Charcuterie Palette with Artisan Cured Meats (like Nueske’s Applewood Smoked Beef) and Cheeses… Charcuterie Palette …you can also try the Smoked Salmon and Cream Gâteau with Egg Yolk Cream, Paddlefish Caviar, and Micro-herbs that’s new to the booth this year! Smoked Salmon and Cream Gateau If you’re a seafood lover, this might be one of your favorite things to get at the Festival of the Arts this year! The Cream Gâteau is smooth and wonderfully seasoned, which combines perfectly with the almost buttery Salmon! Plus, the light bit of salt from the Caviar balances the whole thing (and we can’t get enough of it). Smoked Salmon and Cream Gateau And, just in case you were still hungry, you can take a bite of the Vanilla, Rose Water, and Pistachio Panna Cotta that’s back again with its lightly sweet flavors! But, while last year’s version looked like a pink version of the Blueberry Cheesecake from Satu’li Canteen… Vanilla, Rose Water and Pistachio Panna Cotta …this year’s ACTUALLY looks like a rose! Um, how can a treat be this adorable?! Vanilla, Rose Water and Pistachio Panna Cotta We were SO happy to see this dessert back again since its incredibly light and creamy! The rose flavor comes through to add a hint of a floral taste to the otherwise sweet Panna Cotta. We could definitely have three more tbh! Vanilla, Rose Water, and Pistachio Panna Cotta (Plus, it’s just TOO pretty to pass up!) Inside the Panna Cotta You can check out the rest of the food booths and menus for the Festival of the Arts here! It’s “Bright Suns” indeed over on the west coast for the official opening of Rise of the Resistance in Disneyland’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Rise Guidemap While Disney World has been enjoying the attraction for a month, the patience of the Batuu travelers in Disneyland has paid off because now they have THREE new other-worldly treats exclusive to Anaheim! And, we’re giving you a first look and taste of the cheesiest chips in the galaxy! Although we’ve already tried the Black Spire Hot Chocolate and the Toydaria Swirl, now we’re ready to crunch on the new Galma Garlic Puffed Cheese Chips! Galma Garlic Puffed Cheese Chips Sign The chips are made with a base of tapioca flour and topped with white cheddar, parmesan cheese, and garlic! Even though Galma might be a spot in the Outer Rim for illegal pod races and droid fights, the only criminal thing about the Galma Garlic Puffed Cheese Chips is how PACKED with flavor they are! Galma Garlic Puffed Cheese Chips There is so much cheesy flavor in these chips, but they’re still very light and crispy! Plus, the garlic adds a kick of spice that ties the whole savory snack together, almost like a balance in the Force. We do recommend grabbing some napkins and water too, since there is SO much cheese with the chips (we’re not complaining)! Galma Garlic Puffed Cheese Chips The Galma Garlic Puffed Cheese Chips come in a decently sized bag their $6 price tag and are available from various drink carts located throughout Batuu. Pre-Packaged Chip Bags Buuut, if you’re looking for something a bit sweeter, you can also try the addicting Chocolate Popcorn from Kat Saka’s Kettle (which is basically one of our favorite snacks EVER). In 2017, Greg Cohen, a fitness trainer who had always led an active lifestyle, unexpectedly began experiencing numbness and pain in his hands and limbs, the result of a rare and incurable autoimmune disease called scleroderma. But Cohen, who lives in Los Angeles, didn’t let that stop him from tackling the Walt Disney World Marathon last Sunday. It was quite a feat for Greg who still grapples with the disease, which afflicts roughly 10 percent of men. The disease has one of the highest fatality rates of autoimmune diseases and causes pain, numbness, and little feeling in joints and connective tissue, as well as hardened skin, making it really difficult to run. Nevertheless, Greg had the strength to overcome the pain and complete the 26.2-mile race that took him and more than 14,000 other runners through all four Walt Disney World theme parks. This was the first of four marathons he is running in 2020 to raise awareness about scleroderma. The marathon culminated a weekend of races at Walt Disney World Resort, which included a 5K, a 10K, a half marathon and kids races. It was also the second of six race weekends during the 2019-20 runDisney season, with the next race weekend being the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend, February 20–23, at Walt Disney World Resort. We’re live from Epcot’s fourth annual International Festival of the Arts! Epcot’s Festival of the Arts We got a lot of boxes to check off on our Foodie to-do list (we’re eating ALL the new festival foods and reviewing them for you here today!) but we were surprised to learn this morning that some of the food booths that should be open aren’t yet! The 2020 Epcot Festival of the Arts food studios were scheduled to open with the rest of the World Showcase at 11 AM, but such was not the case with three of the ones we visited this morning! A Cast Member we spoke with at Pop Eats! confirmed they were unable to open on time due to “technical difficulties”. Pop Eats! See the FULL MENU for Pop Eats! here! And the same story goes for Test Track’s Cool Wash. While this Future World kiosk isn’t a festival food booth, a Cast Member informed us their “slushy machines were broken.” He didn’t know when they’d be up runnin’, but we’ll keep you posted! Cool Wash Read about the Festival of the Art’s additional food locations here! Lastly, the Deconstructed Dish was also struggling to open this morning. A Cast Member out front was apologizing to guests for the delay! Deconstructed Dish is where you’ll find the new-this-year Rainboba Sparkling Water which you can read our review of HERE! Deconstructed Dish See the eats and drinks for the Deconstructed Dish HERE! We’ll keep our eyes on these booths, but for now, we’ll be checking off some of the other festival’s dishes on our list! We don’t think these festival booths will be closed for very long, though, so fingers-crossed they smooth out their first-day-of-the-festival wrinkles quickly! Were you looking forward to visiting any of these food booths first? Let us know if their delayed openings have changed your plans in the comments below! Calling all Epcot World (Showcase) travelers! Put down the Loonies and Tim Hortons because we have some really exciting news! Epcot January 17th is finally here at Epcot! And, there are SO many new things happening around the park that we can hardly contain our excitement. On top of Awesome Planet and the Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along, our friends up in the North have brought us a brand new Circle-Vision 360 film in the Canada Pavilion! In 2019, we said goodbye to O’ Canada! (and Martin Short), but now we’re giving a hearty hellooo to Canada Far and Wide since it’s finally open in Epcot! Canada Far and Wide Sign Check out our first look at the Canada Far and Wide film here! This film is now narrated by comedic (and Canadian) actors Eugene Levy and Catherine O’Hara. The duo takes the audience through the scenic look that explores Canada’s great outdoors and natural wonders. Canada Far and Wide Film Canada Far and Wide definitely lives up to its name since it takes you through each province of Canada, talking about the city life and culture (even the indigenous people of the First Nations there!). Plus, you get that STUNNING circle-vision view of the country’s sprawling forests, gorgeous coastlines, and bustling metroplexes. Canada Far and Wide Film After talking about the Toronto Raptors’ success (’cause who wouldn’t want to rep a great basketball team?), Canada Far and Wide ends the film by saying that there’s a place for everyone in Canada. From the desert to Niagara Falls, there is sooo much beauty and culture that it’s a spot you HAVE to visit at least once in your life. Canada Far and Wide Opening Day Poster And, don’t forget that today is also the FIRST day for the 2020 Epcot International Festival of the Arts! Disneyland is rolling out the red carpet today for the official opening of Rise of the Resistance in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and we’re so excited to be a partaking in the festivities! Disneyland’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge And we’re especially excited to try out the three new snacks (!!!) debuting at Batuu WEST COAST today — including the Toydaria Swirl! We are Disney FOOD Blog, after all — and this one has got us pretty intrigued! Toydaria Swirl You’ll find the Toydaria Swirl at the Black Spire Outpost’s Milk Stand. It features their signature classic Green Milk (although ours looks rather yellow today for some reason!) kicked up a notch (or four or five notches, to be precise) with the addition of chile pepper, lime seasoning salt, and mango jellies! Toydaria Swirl There’s a whirlwind of opinions about the Toydaria Swirl in our group. While some of us aren’t huge fans of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge’s Green Milk to begin with, we did find the Toydaria Swirl more interesting than the standard drink. The spicy, salty, citrusy seasoning the milk is topped with does add some complexity to the flavor of the green milk which can be cloyingly sweet for some people’s palettes. Toydaria Swirl The flavor of seasoning stayed mostly on top as well (although the red color of the chile was spreading FAST)! Once we finished the top layer, the rest of the drink tasted pretty much like standard green milk to us. And the chile wasn’t as spicy as we were hoping! We only tasted a little tingle of it on our lips! Toydaria Swirl Some of us thought this would be a hard-pass on our next trip to the Black Spire Outpost while others in thought it tasted better than regular, unadulterated Green Milk and would opt for Toydaria Swirl instead! This likely depends on if you like a bit of spice, to begin with. Try one for yourself at Disneyland’s Milk Stand for $8.79, and stay tuned for more LIVE coverage, including MORE Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge NEW FOOD reviews! Will you be sipping on this new beverage from the Milk Stand the next time you visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland? Tell us if you’re excited to try it in the comments below! It’s time to explore this awesome planet that we call home, folks! Awesome Planet That’s right — after learning about the “family”-iar host of the show, we are SUPER excited that Awesome Planet is officially open in The Land Pavilion in Epcot! (Yaaaas!) Awesome Planet is an “on-screen exploration of the realm we call home”, which “showcases the spectacular beauty, diversity and dynamic story of our earth with all the grandeur guests have come to expect.” Certainly a perfect fit for The Land Pavilion! The Land Directory Ty Burrell voices our travels around the big blue world during Awesome Planet, first narrating how the Earth was created over the course of 4 billion years. From a huge collision to the formation of the moon, our planet has been through a LOT. (That’s why it’s so awesome, obvi!) Awesome Planet Sign Awesome Planet then gave us some deets on where the best places would be to live (we think the Most Magical Place on Earth is at the top of our list)! If you like the cold, you could live in the North and South Pole. Buuut, if you like to make your own food, you could live in the grasslands instead! Awesome Planet Sign The film detailed each environmental area, including the sandy desert, and how our ecosystems are being destroyed. However, Awesome Planet left the audience with a hopeful note by giving them a way to help through the Disney Conservation Fund and by promoting awareness through the hashtag #EpcotAwesomePlanet on social media! Awesome Planet Film Our beautiful planet is… well, pretty AWESOME. And, we think that Awesome Planet’s message is a wonderful addition to the new films coming to Epcot! After you’ve watched the environmental film at The Land, you can head over to watch the NEW Canada Far and Wide film in the Canada Pavilion, as well as the NEW Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along in the France Pavilion! Canada Far and Wide Sign Be our guest, and check out our preview of the new Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along here! And don’t forget! We’re out here reporting LIVE at Disneyland this morning to see how the grand opening of Rise of the Resistance in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge West is goin’ down! Starbucks line…somewhere How was traffic getting here, you ask? Not SO HOT! But we DID make it here just in time for the gates to open with the rest of these fine Rise of the Resistance rope-dropping champions! And even though we ALL got here SUPER EARLY — we knew we’d be in for a looong wait until the mad-dash to secure our boarding groups once the virtual queue finally opened at 8 AM! The Disneyland gates opened a little before 6 AM this morning. With only a few shops open on Main Street, U.S.A. there wasn’t much to do except mill about in nervous anticipation! Oh, and wait in the ridonkulous-ly long line for Starbucks! Rise of the Resistance opening day in Disneyland Every 20 minutes or so an announcement was made informing guests the Disneyland app would start allowing reservations starting at 8 AM. And once 8 AM finally neared, it was BATTLE STATIONS, people! Glued to our screens, we’re READY FOR IT! GAME ON! Once 8 AM hit, we were quickly able to snag a boarding group on our Disneyland app. People were huggin’ and screamin’! We hope YOU were one of the folks we saw overcome by jubilation! Boarding Group And then, in what felt like moments later, it was OVER! Just as quickly as the frenzy had settled over the crowd, it was lifted! All the boarding groups were distributed in just 20 minutes! That’s right, by 8:20 AM electronic boards confirmed all the passes were GONE just like dat! Boarding Groups Now Closed Sign While they are not currently accepting boarding groups, this does not mean that the status will not change throughout the day. This will really depend on how smoothly the ride is operating and how swiftly they can move guests through.
