We can’t believe that Cinderella’s 70th anniversary has already magically appeared this year! Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo Cake And, while Disney World is already celebrating with the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo “Cake” (which is not at all what you’d expect) and the Cinderella Petit Cake, there’s another themed treat that has arrived at one of the Disney Resorts today! The Cinderella Cupcake is looking like absolute royalty at Port Orleans Riverside, fit with a glittery glass slipper! Cinderella Cupcake The vanilla cake is filled with marshmallow fluff (!!!) and topped with a mountain strawberry icing. While this cake is beautiful, we’re really interested to see how it tastes! Sometimes cupcakes like these focus on the look and fall flat when it comes to taste, so we will be sure to let you know our thoughts soon. You can grab the Cinderella Cupcake to commemorate the anniversary (and make your day a li’l more magical) at Riverside Mill Food Court. Read our full review of the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo “Cake” here! It’s the 70th anniversary of Cinderella (and we STILL love Cindy just as much)! ©Disney And, while we love celebrating the Disney Princesses every day, the newest treat in Disney World is making us sing like a sweet nightingale! The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo Cake has made its magical arrival into Magic Kingdom, and it is BEAUTIFUL. Main Street Bakery Case The citrus almond cake is topped with a lemon-scented Bavarian mousse, filled with blueberry compote, and adorned with golden chocolate wheels. But, don’t worry! This carriage won’t change into a pumpkin! But first up, we have to warn you about something. Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo Cake Sooo, we’re kind of in love with the aesthetic of this cake. Just look at the chocolate work on the wheels!! But, even though it’s stunning, we’re happy to say that the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo Cake tastes JUST as good as it looks too (yaaas!). The Bavarian mousse only has a light lemon taste, while the blueberry compote is the prominent flavor inside. And, let us tell you that we cannot get enough of how refreshing and fruity the blueberry is! Bavarian Mousse and Blueberry Compote The cake, however, is the most unique part! It reminds us of a cookie with how dense it is, which is a perfect balance to the airy mousse. The lemon and almond flavors were AH-MAZING in the cake, adding a twist to the whole treat. Plus, the smell had us swooning like Cinderella for Prince Charming. Lemon and Almond Cake While we do wish it had a little more time to set so it bit firmer, the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo Cake ($6.99) is still worth a carriage ride over to the Main Street Bakery. Strawberry Shortcake Buuut, now, rather than standard yellow cake, it’s being offered with rainbow cake bits! The cake looks quite similar to the cake that’s used in the Festival of the Arts Mini-Cake, doesn’t it?! While the flavors might be simple, they are sweet and tasty, just like a Strawberry Shortcake should be! Plus, we love a good rainbow cake, y’know. ;D Colorful Cake! We’ve loved the oasis in Disneyland’s Adventureland that is Tropical Hideaway since it first opened a little over a year ago! Tropical Hideaway If you’re not familiar, Tropical Hideaway is a bright and colorful spot that combines SO MANY Dole Whip options with some tasty small bites, nestled on the banks of the Jungle Cruise. Not to mention, you have a chance to find out whatever happened to that pesky cockatoo from the Enchanted Tiki Room, Rosita, here! It’s a great spot to relax and grab a small provision to snack on. And NOW, they have a new snack to choose from! When Tropical Hideaway first opened, you could pick up a selection of steamed Bao buns, a few pre-packaged chilled options like Ramen Noodles, and, one of our favorites, the Sweet Pineapple Lumpia! Sweet Pineapple Lumpia We really enjoyed the Pineapple Lumpia at Tropical Hideaway! These crispy spring rolls are rolled in sugar, stuffed with sweetened cream cheese, and served with a delicious pineapple dipping sauce. So imagine our delight when we noticed they had added a ANOTHER kind of Lumpia to the menu! Pork Lumpia Menu Introducing the Pork Lumpia! For $6.99 you’ll receive 2 spring rolls roughly the size as their pineapple counterparts. These are filled with ground pork and vegetables and fried nice and crispy. Pork Lumpia The Lumpia tasted great! These pork spring rolls were fresh, crispy, and well seasoned. The only problem we found was how quickly we ate them! They’re a relatively small serving considering the price and they can be gobbled up before you know it! Pork Lumpia They’re served with a sweet chili sauce that isn’t all that different from a standard dipping sauce you’d find for egg or spring rolls outside of Disneyland. It’s sweet with just a tiny bit of heat. They go very well with the Lumpia! Pork Lumpia If you’re looking for a light snack while in Adventureland, this is a great option to try! Now we’re going to have a tough time deciding which of the two flavors of Lumpia to grab when we’re here getting our Dole Whip fix in Disneyland! Diapers, groceries, party supplies, and those last-minute prescription sunglasses you ordered for your Disney World vacation that aren’t going to make it to your house in time (that last one may have been just us!) — there are often a lot of things you’d like to have with you when you’re in Disney World, but they’re bulky and heavy and take up tons of packing space…or, you know, won’t arrive in time for your vacation! Toy Story Land But guess what! We’ve got a solution. And it’s just as simple as can be…if you know the ins and outs. Luckily, we DO know those ins and outs…and we can help you save some serious packing space, time, and money (those baggage fees are cray cray right now) with this step-by-step! Wanna know what it is? SHIP IT! Yep — ship it all to yourself in Disney World! No packing, no lugging, no paying outrageous fees for bags at the airport. So just how DO you get packages and essential items delivered to you in Disney World? Here we go! If you ever thought you were limited to only what you could carry in your suitcase to bring with you to Disney World, guess again! You see, many folks have gotten wise to sending packages to their Disney World resorts ahead of time to save on precious luggage space. Every Disney World hotels will accept packages for you…just make sure to follow the rules to ensure they’ll get to you safely. (There’s NOTHING worse than shipping diapers…and needing diapers…and yo’ diapers aren’t there!) Hollywood Studios Shipping to Your Disney World Resort This isn’t as intimidating as it seems! Guests choose to ship items from home all the time and Disney is happy to help! Instructions for Shipping a Package to Your Disney World Resort Here’s what you should do to mail a package to your resort: First of all, don’t ship anything that will get there more than a week before you arrive (anything within a week of your check-in date is fine). Use the official shipping address listed for your Disney World hotel. This can be found on the Disney World website. Simply search for your resort hotel, and on the main page for each hotel, on the righthand side, you’ll see the mailing address for the resort. The Address is on the Right-hand Side When you address your package, include the word “Guest” with the arrival date and name of the person under whose name the room is registered written clearly on the package (preferably on the line below the hotel name!). Gran Destino Tower Front Desk An example address would be: The Grand Floridian Resort GUEST: Cinderella Charming ARRIVAL DATE: 02/01/2020 4401 Floridian Way Lake Buena Vista, Florida 32830 Follow these simple instructions and your well-marked package or packages should get to your Disney World resort without any trouble. You can pick up your packages at the front desk 24 hours a day (in theory…in practice the number of cast members on duty in the middle of the night can get a little thin, so you might want to prioritize getting your package during the daytime hours if possible) and there is a $6 service fee PER package, regardless of size, which will be charged to your room. Once you arrive and check-in, ask the Cast Member at Guest Relations in your hotel if there are any packages waiting for you. Often, these will be noted on your file prior to arrival. You can also ask Bell Services to get your items for you and deliver them to your room for no additional cost. We always try to give ’em a nice tip to thank them for their help. Note that when we spoke to a Cast Member while researching this story, we asked specifically about resorts with Conference Centers (like the Grand Floridian, Coronado Springs, Yacht and Beach Clubs, etc). In the past, several DFB team members have had packages mistakenly end up in conference center mail rooms…which aren’t always open. (Trust us, it’s NO fun hunting down a package at midnight that’s been relegated to a conference center!) Cast Members assured us that all mail is routed through the same locations, and if the additional notations mentioned above are included on the shipping label, it should make it to the front desk of the resort without issue. Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Grocery Delivery to Your Disney World Resort So now that we know how delivering packages works, what about groceries and sundries? Lots of guests love getting their bottled water, snacks, and other supplies sent directly to their resort of choice! (This can save you suitcase space, but it can also save you a TON of $$$ when you don’t have to pay Disney prices for your grocery basics.) Here’s how to do it! Polynesian Lobby Instructions for Having Groceries or Other Items Delivered to Your Disney World Resort First, you’ll want to find a reputable service provider. Instacart, a newer service, will pick up items from multiple locations such as CVS, Target, Publix, Costco, and more. They will charge you a fee per location as well as a service fee. This fee can vary, but in our research, we found a charge of about $3.99 per location, plus a small delivery fee of around 5% of your order total. They also recommend tipping your delivery person. In general, most people with only one location in their order paid around $10 in fees for the delivery. Garden Grocer is another popular, but pricer option. They have a good relationship with Disney World and many folks have used them for many years; but they set their own stock and prices, so you may pay a bit more here. Garden Grocer charges $14 per order, or the delivery is free if your order is over $200. Many other delivery options exist like Amazon Prime Now, Shipt, Walmart Delivery, and many more. Do your research before you go (you may be using one of these services at home already and be able to use it easily at Disney World!) and see what will work best for you. The good news with grocery delivery is no matter how many boxes or bags your items arrive in, your Disney World hotel will only charge you a flat-rate fee of $6 (it’s not $6 per item like it is with packages, what a relief!). Disney’s Port Orleans Resort: French Quarter And here’s where we love Disney World hotels even that much more! If you have perishables in your bags, each of the hotel’s Bell Services has a refrigerator and a freezer to keep your items nice and cold! That means when your groceries get dropped off, Cast Members will take care of items that obviously need to be refrigerated or frozen. Wilderness Lodge If you have groceries delivered, you can call up Bell Services to deliver your items to your room for you for free (just remember to tip!) or you can retrieve them yourself. Just note, Disney World won’t hand over your age-restricted items such as cigarettes or alcohol to you without seeing a form of identification, so plan to head to the front desk with an ID in these instances. We’ll note as well that on rare occasions, we’ve encountered delivery services refusing to release age-restricted items to Disney until you meet them to show your ID (meaning you’ll have to schedule meeting up at the same time!). This is rare and you can usually ask for them to leave it with Bell Services, as they will check ID before releasing. Art of Animation Lobby Shipping From Disney World How about shipping a package from Disney World BACK home? You know — just in case you somehow ended up with too many souvenirs or have extra supplies you can’t cram into your suitcase! You can have any Disney World shop or store mail your Disney purchases to your home; and any Disney World hotel with a convention or business center can mail your non-Disney packages for you (standard shipping and handling rates still apply). Otherwise you’ll need to purchase postage or preprint a shipping label before you leave home. Most Disney World hotels can mail any pre-packaged, pre-labeled packages for you, while several Disney World gift shops sell postage stamps should you have the need! Mailbox in Hollywood Studios We hope after reading this, you now feel confident to try shipping something to your Disney World resort for your next visit! It’s really not as scary as it seems! Whether you’re shipping baby supplies, bulky items you don’t want to pack, or even maybe something special for a holiday, like Christmas presents, ship with confidence. You GOT THIS! Have you ever shipped yourself a package directly to your Disney World resort? Tell us about your experience in the comments below! Related posts: NEW Disney World PRICE CHANGES! Coronado Springs Last year, we saw the opening of the new Gran Destino Tower and the addition of FOUR New Dining Locations, including Three Bridges Bar & Grill at Villa del Lago. This on-the-water dining hot spot has been serving up Spanish-inspired cuisine in a casual yet upscale environment. Three Bridges Bar & Grill at Villa del Lago Today, we’re headed back to check out a recent addition to the menu, a Sangria Flight! Sangria Flight Priced at $21.00, this features samplings of four of their signature Sangrias. Sangria Collection From left to right, we received: Sparkling Sangria, White Sangria, Rose’ Sangria, and Red Sangria. Sangria Flight While the Sparkling and Rose’ were a tad bit on the sweet side, we found the White and Red to be just right! But, this will really depend on your wine preference. Overall, this flight was definitely a refreshing and relaxing way to spend an afternoon while gazing out at that view. Enough of the sips, it’s on to the main event. We’ve got the SCOOP on the newest of Disney’s Secret Menu Item: MEXICAN STREET CORN DIP! Mexican Street Corn Dip Two words for ya: ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! This dip is basically corn mixed with cotija cheese, cilantro, poblano peppers, smoked tomato aioli, and finished off with a squeeze of lime. It’s served with light and crunchy tortilla chips that make for the perfect carrier for this bowl of goodness. It packed only a little bit of heat thanks to the poblano peppers and the corn was fresh and the flavors worked together really well. Mexican Street Corn Dip This is priced at $13.00 and we wouldn’t be too shocked if it showed up on the menu soon. For now, you’ll need to ask a Cast Member about it in order to try this sweet goodness! We had a fantastic day visiting Three Bridges Bar & Grill at Villa del Lago and will be dreaming of sangria and that dip! You can check out our full Three Bridges Bar & Grill at Villa del Lago review here! What do you think of these new menu additions at Disney’s Coronado Springs? Let us know! We’re down here at Disney Springs today checking out the newest COACH collection which just debuted at Ever After! Ever After We sure hope you’re sitting down if you’re a BIG fan of Donald Duck or Pluto because this new line of Disney x COACH bags and accessories is all about them! The new Disney x COACH collab features two styles! First up, let’s discuss our #1 Duck’s new line! It’s always all about him anyways, as far as we’re concerned! Of course, part of why we love Donald Duck so much is because of his extreme mood fluctuations which the new COACH collection captures the essence of perfectly! Disney x COACH Plus, we love the shade of periwinkle blue the new COACH bags come in! Such a stunning hue! Check out this COACH Donald Crossbody Bag for $395! It’s totally quacking our names! Disney x COACH And the COACH Donald Wallet for $125 also makes quite the statement! We’ll see Donald’s disapproving face every time we reach for our credit cards! Maybe that will help us save some of our hard-earned moola! Disney x COACH We thought the COACH Donald Messenger Bag for $175 was impossible to resist, though! Disney x COACH And there was even jewelry to peruse, like this COACH Donald Bracelet for $155! It had a nice heft to it! Disney x COACH But these COACH Donald Earrings for $65 really stole the show — especially because of their little red bowtie accents! Disney x COACH The COACH Donald Keychain for $95 had us hypnotized by his rhinestone eyes! Disney x COACH And we were smitten by this COACH Donald Bag Charm for $35. It’s perfect for adding to one of the COACH bags we already own! Disney x COACH But we said this new Disney x COACH collection featured a Pluto line as well, so here it COMES! Just like the Donald stuff we saw earlier, the design of the Pluto bags and accessories is very sleek and modern! Here’s the COACH Pluto Crossbody Bag for $395! Love how they matched its color to Pluto’s signature hue perfectly! Disney x COACH And how about the getting Mickey’s poochy pal on this adorable COACH Pluto Pouch for $85? Disney x COACH We also loved this smaller size COACH Pluto Crossbody Bag for $195! This would be the perfect bag to brighten up our winter wardrobe! Disney x COACH And the COACH Pluto Messenger Bag for $175 was one of our favs. It’s so hard not to smile when we look at Pluto’s happy face! Disney x COACH Of course, this COACH Pluto Bracelet for $75 was also making us smile! We’ll be telling our sweeties about it just in case they haven’t found us a Valentine’s Day gift yet! Disney x COACH And if they’re gonna get us the COACH Pluto Bracelet, they might as well go all in and splurge for the COACH Pluto Earrings for $65! Disney x COACH Or they could just give us this adorable COACH Pluto Keychain for $95. It also has rhinestone accents like the Donald version! Love how they went with a gold-tone metal for this one, though. It’s much more suitable for Pluto’s complexion! Disney x COACH While the new Disney x COACH Donald and Pluto collections just launched today in Disney Springs, they were already selling out FAST! Currently, neither line is available online, but we’ll keep you posted when and where you can get your hands on them as soon as we see them available in other places! And so far, the new Disney and COACH collab is all about our boys Donald Duck and Pluto, but we’ll let you know if we see other characters released! (Mickey, Minnie, and Daisy would be rad! Pretty, pretty PLEASE!) What do you think of the new Disney x COACH line? Are you Team Donald or Team Pluto? Let us know in the comments below!
