Love is in the air at Disney World! Lion Paw Cookie First, we experience love at first sight when we spotted the new Simba Popcorn Bucket! Then, we felt all warm and fuzzy when one of our favorite cookies received a new romantic makeover! Now, Disney’s just shared with us the delicious deets about a new Love Potion gelato shake brewing at Disney Springs! You’ll find this new Valentine’s Day goodie at Vivoli Gelateria — one of the most date night-worthy spots in Disney Springs for lovers of tasty gelato made from scratch with ingredients imported from Italy! Vivoli Gelateria Their special treat, the Love Potion, is a magical concoction of vanilla gelato, strawberry Fanta, and whipped cream! Even if you’re not celebrating Valentine’s Day with a special someone, this drink STILL looks super tasty to us! © Disney Love Potion And if you find yourself in search of more ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day at Disney World, don’t forget there’s also The Marina (a.k.a. the Sweetheart of Sundaes at Ghirardelli’s Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop), as well as the new Disney and Star Wars Valentine’s Day Cards we spotted at LovePop! We know that Make-A-Wish and Disney Parks grant wishes year-round and that this type of wish granting is one of the most requested choices amongst wish kids. Today, we’re taking a look back at some highlights from the last few years with a couple of our favorite stories from Disney Parks – you may even remember some of them! The “Key to the Kingdom” Back in September of 2019, we met wish kid Linden Bradley shortly after he learned that he was cancer-free. Linden is from British Columbia, Canada and his one true wish was that he would get the opportunity to open up the gates at Disneyland park, and he was given just that. Linden was surprised by none other than Mickey Mouse, along with Disneyland ambassador, Justin, and was given the “Key to the Kingdom,” allowing him to be one to open up the gates to the park and officially kick off the day of magic for everyone visiting that day. “He’s been through more than I think any of us combined have been through,” said his mom, Julia Bradley. “Hopefully, this will be the memory that he remembers instead of all the bad times with cancer — he got to open Disneyland!” Shanghai Disney Resort’s First Ever Wish In September of 2017, Shanghai Disney Resort joined in with the rest of Disney Parks to start granting wishes to wish kids for Make-A-Wish, starting with Yuanbao from China’s Anhui Province. Yuanbao’s wish was to meet Olaf the lovable snowman from “Frozen,” so on his trip to Shanghai Disneyland he was welcomed at the Royal Banquet Hall by Olaf and Elsa for a magical encounter he’ll never forget. He was even surprised with the honor of being the Grand Marshal in the parade that day. Yuanbao’s day meeting Olaf, Elsa and Mickey marked the very first wish granted by Make-A-Wish Shanghai through the Disney Wish Program, which continues to make life-changing wishes come true to bring hope, strength and joy to children in China. Cooking It Up with Chef Jeff In 2012, wish kid Winter visited Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort at Walt Disney World Resort and was inspired by a chef who went above and beyond to help her. Chef Jeff, a sous chef at the resort, was just doing his job by assisting with Winter’s dietary restrictions and talking through alternative options during a meal at ‘Ohana, but the extra work he put in to help Winter sparked her fascination with the culinary arts which led to her wish of coming back to cook with the chef who inspired her. Then in 2018, Winter and her family returned to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to fulfill her wish of cooking with the chef who inspired her. The two were reunited and worked together to create spring rolls with a peanut dipping sauce, marking another magical wish granted! View the full article

While recently we saw one of our favorite snacks at Disney World disappear, we just saw another one receive a special seasonal makeover! Lion Paw Cookie Sign The Lion Paw Cookie (which we first saw at Disney’s Animal Kingdom last fall for The Lion King’s 25th anniversary) has gotten itself all gussied up just in time for Valentine’s Day! And while earlier today we had huge heart eyes for the new Simba Popcorn Bucket that’s now available at Disney World, the pink and red Lion Paw Cookie has us feeling très romantique! Lion Paw Cookie Plus, we love how the center of the paw is now heart-shaped! This would be such a cute little treat to give to your sweetie! Lion Paw Cookie In addition to the classic yellow and brown Simba version, we’ve also seen the Lion Paw Cookie take on tones of red and green for the holidays! But we think this new Valentine’s Day overlay is our favorite one so far! Either way, it’s still the same delicious Selma sugar cookie we know and love, so look for it throughout Animal Kingdom when you go prowling for your Simba Popcorn Bucket today! It costs $3.50 or 1 Disney Dining Plan snack credit and is available at most popcorn carts! You can read our full Lion Paw Cookie review here! Have you tried the Lion Paw Cookie at Animal Kingdom? Tell us what you thought of it in the comments below! Hey, everyone! We’re back again with another update. This time, we’re heading over to the Magic Kingdom. Cinderella Castle There’s lots of construction and a cavalcade of merch and food to see, so let’s get started! Magic Kingdom Food Updates Confectionery There a few new treats at the Confectionery, and that means new sweets that we get to try. There’s a new flavor for you Stitch Extreme Candy fans out there. You can now pick these up in Mike and Ike’s Mega Mix Sours for $6.29. Stitch Mike and Ike’s candy If that’s a little too sour for you, we also noticed that the Red Rose Cake Pops were actually in the display case this time around. Red Rose Cake Pops at the Confectionery This delicious sweet is the best of both worlds thanks to its chocolate cake center and the fact that it has a sour candy belt wrapped around it. It’s then covered in white chocolate that’s been dyed red. You can pick one up for the love of your life, even if that’s yourself, for $4.29. Rose Cake Pop Read our Red Rose Cake Pop review here! Finally, we found these Caramel Popcorn bags inspired by Cars for even more sweetness. It’s a caramel car for caramel popcorn! If you want a bag of these, it will cost you $5.99. While we’ve seen a few other popcorn bags with Cars packing, this was the first time we had noticed this one. Cars Caramel Popcorn bag Casey’s Corner Taking a stroll down to Casey’s Corner, we have some sad news indeed. The Loaded Corn Dog Nuggets were not being served today. If you’re like us, you’re anxiously awaiting the return of the Cheesy Hot Diggity Dog. Casey’s Corner menu Plaza Restaurant Over at the Plaza Restaurant, they’ve shaken things up a little bit. The lunch and dinner menus have been combined into one. Also, the breakfast menu is the only one offered until 10:45, but that’s not the worst part. Outside Plaza Restaurant You remember those Extreme Milkshakes they had on the menu, like the Chocolate Extreme Shake that was absolutely swimming in chocolate? Unfortunately, as of right now, the Plaza will no longer be selling these masterpieces. Chocolate Extreme Shake Read more about the new Plaza menu changes here! Aloha Isle We trekked over to Aloha Isle because we heard that one of our favorite fruity drinks became even easier to get. Aloha Isle The Kakamora Float, which we here at DFB call heaven in a cup is a new addition to the Dole-Whip line. It was initially just a special holiday beverage for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party but a few weeks ago we noticed that they had continued serving it beyond the party. Kakamora Float Yesterday, we spotted the Kakamora Float on Mobile Order! We ordered one up pronto, and good thing we did too, because later in the day it was once again off Mobile Order. If it appears on Mobile Order again, we will be sure to let ya know. Kakamora on Mobile Order Friar’s Nook If you enjoyed the limited-time breakfast options at Friar’s Nook, don’t worry. We verified with a Cast Member that you can still order these yummy items in the morning. We don’t know how long they will be here, so order them while you can! Friar’s Nook Breakfast Menu Read our full review of these breakfast options at Friar’s Nook here! Magic Kingdom Construction Update Main Street City Hall continues its refurbishment. Last time we saw it, the exterior was partially covered in scrim and now it’s completely covered. Don’t worry, the inside’s still open for anything you need while the construction is going on. City Hall construction Fantasyland Over at “it’s a small world,” construction walls are up and it looks like the Standby and FastPass entrances are now in the same location. It’s a Small World Construction At the train station, the Lilly Belle has been positioned here if you want to take a photo-op while the trains aren’t running due to the TRON Lightcycle Run construction. It’s expected that the Roy. O Disney will also be stationed here for a similar experience. Lilly Belle at Fantasyland Sation Lilly Belle recently had some mechanical work done on her during this downtime, which means she’ll hopefully be ready to go once TRON Lightcycle Run opens sometime in 2021 for Disney World’s 50th anniversary. Read all about TRON Lightcycle Run here! Tomorrowland The Tomorrowland renovation continues throughout the land as some blockades have gone up around areas across from the Stitch’s Great Escape building. A Cast Member told us that they believe the construction crews are working on the ground and concrete currently. Tomorrowland construction That’s not all that’s happening in Tomorrowland, of course, as work continues on the highly-anticipated TRON Lightcycle Run. They are continuing the build the exterior walls, which is really exciting. We can’t wait to ride this when it opens sometime in 2021 for the 50th! TRON Lightcycle Run construction Read MORE about TRON Lightcycle Run right here!! Finding Nemo tumbler The Confectionary Back inside the sweet shop, we saw this Pixar cup covered in all our favorite characters. From Woody all the way through Nemo and Miguel, almost all of Pixar’s incredible animated films are represented here. You can drink with your Pixar pals for $14.99. Pixar Icons cup Uptown Jewelers There are two new jewelry sets over at Uptown Jewelers, one for Minnie and one for Marie. The Minnie set includes a floral-inspired necklace and bracelet. One of the most rewarding parts of my role is getting to see our team welcome new animal babies at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Today, I’m thrilled to share we are celebrating two new animal births in the new year — the park’s first Hartmann’s zebra foal and an Angolan black-and-white colobus monkey. On Jan. 21, a yet-to-be-named Hartmann’s zebra foal was born to mom Prima under the care of the West Savanna team. This moment marks a milestone for the park as it is the first time this vulnerable zebra species has been born at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Weighing in at about 65 pounds, the foal was standing and walking within 30 minutes of birth. This little one is doing well and bonding backstage with his mom. Much of the time, he is nursing, napping and starting to play and explore his mom’s hay. When he’s ready, he will be introduced in stages to the other zebras and then join the herd as they go out onto the savanna. Be on the lookout for zebra the next time you go on Kilimanjaro Safaris! Swinging on to other baby news… a male Angolan black-and-white colobus monkey named Douglas was born on Jan. 15 to mom Zahra at Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail. Look up high and you can see this small white fur ball snuggling close to his mom. As he grows up, his color will change to black with white around his face, and on his tail, like the others in his troop. Douglas is the second of his family to be born at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. His sister Alika (L) was born in 2018 and likes to preen him while mom looks on. The Walt Disney Company is passionately committed to the protection of many animals, including zebras and primates. You can learn more about zebras and black-and-white colobus monkeys and how you can help them by visiting DisneyAnimals.com. View the full article

Whether they’re pursuing a career at Disney in Human Resources or aiming for a legal career, more than 12,000 eligible cast members have enrolled in Disney Aspire and are reaching their educational goals and dreams! Our 100% tuition-paid education investment program gave Mark Gautier, a Disneyland Hotel Housekeeping cast member, a fresh start and a new opportunity to put his #DreamsWithinReach. Mark has already completed the College Start program to complete his GED coursework. Now he’s pursuing a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from Bellevue University and is the first in his family to attend college. At the heart of Mark’s decision to enroll in Disney Aspire is a strong willingness to make the most out of life. In 2013, Mark fell into a coma for two weeks from diabetic shock where his heart stopped three times before a team of doctors and nurses were thankfully able to revive him. Once Mark awoke, he discovered that he had lost his writing and drawing abilities but gained a fresh perspective on life and dedicated himself to becoming healthier. To meet his health goals, Mark and his now-wife, Vanessa, became Disneyland Resort Annual Passholders to make exercise fun. Surpassing all of his expectations, Mark not only fell in love with the parks but the company too. He was welcomed to the Disney cast member family in 2016 as a Disneyland Hotel Houseman. “It was the ambiance, the detail and the artwork,” recalled Mark. “I was amazed by everything, and I wanted to be a part of it.” Growing up in Santa Ana with beautiful murals throughout an art district, Mark always had a passion for art. Now thanks to Disney Aspire, Mark is not only creating again after losing his writing and drawing abilities, but is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in graphic design. “I was given another chance at life, and once Disney Aspire came about, it was a second chance at my education, said Mark. “I have so much to look forward to and it’s important to make the most out of this journey because it’s not only an opportunity for myself, but for my wife and daughter!” We’re proud of Mark and his journey to live a healthier and happier life. Since his health scare in 2013, he’s lost 150 pounds, gotten married, welcomed a 1-year-old daughter, joined The Walt Disney Company as a Cast Member and enrolled in Disney Aspire. “I want my daughter to grow up and for her to be proud of me,” shared Mark. “I want to show her that it’s never too late, and to never give up on her dreams.” Stay tuned for more inspirational stories about how Disney Cast Members are putting their #DreamsWithinReach with Disney Aspire as the program continues to welcome new participants and expand its network of offerings, with additions like Purdue University Global and Southern New Hampshire University – announced this month. Bienvenidos! We’re coming to you from Disney Springs! Frontera Cocina We recently had the pleasure of dining atcelebrity chef Rick Bayless’ Frontera Cocina to check out their new menu items. Chef Bayless is known for his authentic Mexican cooking — you won’t find chimichangas or Tex-Mex in his restaurants! But don’t worry, you’ll find big flavors, amazing cocktails, and a gorgeous atmosphere. Hungry yet? Let’s get to eating, shall we? Several times a year, Rick Bayless and his team roll out special menus at Frontera Cocina, celebrating the flavors and foods of different regions in Mexico. We were recently invited to kick off this year’s “Taste of Oaxaca,” where Rick Bayless himself was there to discuss the dishes near and dear to his heart. Hi Chef Bayless! Taking a look at the new menu, we were excited to see several new options — as well as some returning favorites. Taste of Oaxaca Menu (Click to enlarge) First up, cocktails! We started with the Oaxacan Club, with is a unique twist on a “Clover Club.” Oaxacan Club This cocktail is made with lemon juice, raspberry cordial, egg whites, and Gracias a Dios Gin. The gin is what makes this drink special — it’s distilled with the same agave plant as many types of mezcal, giving it a smokey taste. We loved this one — the smokey taste of the gin was perfectly balanced with the sweet raspberry cordial, and the egg whites gave it a creamy texture. We could sip on it all night! Oaxacan Club We also tried the Apple Temptation, which has just three perfectly paired ingredients. Apple Temptation The Apple Temptation is made with mezcal and fresh-pressed green apple juice, and finished with a tajin chile-lime rim. And when they say freshly-pressed apple juice, they mean it — the juice is literally squeezed with each drink order. Apple Temptation This one was another winner — the tartness of the apple juice paired nicely with the smokey mezcal. And we loved the spice from the rim! If you’re an apple fan, put this on your must-list STAT. We also enjoyed one of Chef Bayless’ favorite cordials — Real Minero Pechuga Mezcal. Chef Bayless with Real Mineral Mezcal He explained to us that all mezcal is distilled twice, but this gets distilled three times to enhance the flavor. But what really makes it unique — and grants it the name “Pechuga” — is that a chicken breast is hung in the liquor while distilling. No, we aren’t kidding! This is a very old-fashioned and traditional way to make mezcal. In fact, pechuga literally translates to breast in Spanish. Real Mineral Pechuga Mezcal This Mezcal is served in a jicarita — which is a traditional Oaxacan cup made from a hollowed-out gourd. And you get to keep this gorgeously detailed cup as a take-home, should you order it! Real Mineral Pechuga Mezcal Jicarita If you’re wondering how mezcal is traditionally consumed in Oaxaca, prepare to be amazed…or creeped out. Mezcal Accompaniments Why yes, those are grasshoppers! Or chapulines in Spanish. And no, these aren’t here for a fear factor type competition. It’s tradition to first eat an orange slice, then take the mezcal shot, and follow it with a chapuline. Kind of like Salt, Tequila, Lime…except it’s Orange. Mezcal. Grasshopper. Oranges and Grasshoppers Honestly, it’s not HORRIBLE. In fact, the orange and mezcal combination is delicious — sweet and smokey. And the grasshopper mostly just tastes like a roasted, crunchy, salty snack. But…it’s still a grasshopper so if the idea of eating bugs creeps you out, you may wanna stick to cocktails without bug chasers. (Spoiler alert: this isn’t the last time you’ll see grasshoppers in this post.) Now, onto the appetizers! We started with the Golden Plantain Croquettes. Golden Plantain Croquettes These are fried plantains, filled with cotija cheese, and topped with an almond mole, crema, and almonds. Golden Plantain Croquettes Chef Bayless talked to us a lot about mole — which is a traditional Mexican sauce. Many people think there is just one kind of mole, but we learned there are actually seven different varieties, and this Oaxaca menu highlights several of them. In this dish, the almond mole is the star of the show — with a creamy consistency, and crunch from the actual nuts. Croquette Cross Section The fried plantain had a natural sweetness and paired perfectly with the creamy cheese filling. We loved this new addition to the menu! It was unique, tasty, and a wonderful way to kick off the meal. Next up, Frontera Cocina’s famous guacamole. Guacamole And no — your eyes aren’t deceiving you, the chapulines are back! Guacamole with Chapulines This grasshopper topped-guac has been on the menu before, and honestly, it’s VERY good. Mostly because, if you load up your chip with enough avocado and red onion, the grasshoppers just add a bit of salt and crunch, not an overwhelming flavor. But if you’re not into insects on your apps, you can always order their original guacamole. If you’re a guacamole fan, you’ll be hard-pressed to do better than Frontera’s! With just the right amount of lime and zest, it’s perfect guac every time. The guacamole is served with two of Frontera Cocina’s signature salsas — smoky chipotle and roasted tomatillo. Salsas Both of these are fabulous with fresh, bright flavors. We particularly loved the smokey chipotle, which added a little heat to our chips. For our first entree, we tried the Oaxacan Green Mole Grilled Grouper. Green Mole Grilled Grouper This herb-filled dish is grilled grouper, made with cilantro, epazote, and parsley. It’s served on a bed of white beans and plantain rice, with spicy salad greens, and features a green mole sauce. Green Mole Grilled Grouper This flaky fish fell apart with just the touch of a fork, and was incredibly fresh. While it might be too fishy for those very seafood-adverse, it wasn’t overwhelmingly strong. The plantain rice has beautiful chunks of plantains in it, which provided a lovely sweetness to the dish and balanced the savory herbs. We loved this green mole as well –which had a mild flavor and didn’t overpower the dish. Next, the Oaxacan Mole Chicken. Oaxacan Mole Chicken This dish is currently on the full-time Frontera Cocina menu, and we can see why! It’s half a roasted chicken served with Oaxacan red mole and plantain rice. Oaxacan Mole Chicken This is a perfect dish for less-adventurous eaters to try. The red mole was superb, with just a little bit of heat from the chilies, and was again, balanced nicely by the hint of sweet from the plantain rice. And the chicken itself was cooked perfectly — tender and moist! We were also given homemade corn tortillas to enjoy with both the fish and chicken dishes, so you could make your own little tacos if you so desired! Homemade Tortillas Lastly, we were excited to try the short ribs again, as they’ve been a favorite of ours in the past! Beef Shortribs These short ribs are slow-roasted with the bone-in for 12 hours, and come with Cotija mashed potatoes and sautéed Swiss chard, and are topped with a roasted almond mole, crispy onions, and toasted almonds. Beef Shortribs All we can say is — HOLY MOLE. These are INCREDIBLE. It’s very clear these were cooked for a long time (seriously, 12 hours!!), because they are “fall apart in your mouth, you could cut them with a spoon” tender. And the cotija mashed potatoes are still a delight — smooth and creamy, but not as heavy as other mashed potatoes. (Psst — these are on the regular menu too, so you can enjoy them 365.) Beef Shortribs We also LOVED the crunch from the onions and the almonds. And speaking of almonds, the roasted almond mole was our favorite of the night! Hearty enough to compliment the meat, but not overpower it, we couldn’t get enough of this Mexican comfort food. The short ribs, as well as the entrees, were a very generous portion as well. With an appetizer, they could likely be shared between two people. Which is great because then you’d have extra room for our favorite course… …dessert! And trust us, you’re going to want this one. Peanut Butter Chocolate Trifle Say hello to the Peanut Butter Chocolate Trifle! Peanut Butter Chocolate Trifle This gorgeous creation is layers of homemade Devil’s Food cake and peanut butter mousse topped with spicy roasted Spanish nuts, chocolate sauce, and peanut brittle. And it is as delicious as it looks. Peanut Butter Chocolate Trifle The smooth peanut butter mousse was so creamy and was a perfect balance to the rich, moist cake. Throw in a little bit of spice and crunch from the nuts, and this thing is seriously good. Like, one of the best desserts we’ve had in a while (and we eat lots of dessert!). Peanut Butter Chocolate Trifle Bite Save room for this one — you can thank us later. Cheers to you Frontera! Overall, we really enjoyed this new seasonal menu at Frontera Cocina. The flavors were bold and bright, and everything we had was cooked perfectly. While this menu may seem a bit adventurous at first glance, we were pleasantly surprised and delighted by each course and think just about everyone will find something they enjoy. We look forward to our next visit to Frontera Cocina — though in the future, we’ll probably eat a few less insects! Want to learn more about eating in Disney Springs? Check out this DFB video! This week, we’re celebrating the relationship between Disney Parks and Make-A-Wish that leads to all of the amazing wishes granted at Disney Parks every day of the year! And that got us thinking about the hard work that goes into making these life-changing wishes happen. Earlier this week, we spoke with one of our Walt Disney World Resort cast members, Nathaniel, about his experience helping facilitate wish-granting and what it’s been like for him to be a part of this process. Nathaniel has been lucky enough to have multiple different roles at Walt Disney World that were involved with the gift granting experience for wish kids — as an entertainment captain where he helped arrange for wish kids to meet Disney characters, as a Walt Disney World Ambassador and as a member of the Guest Relations team at Magic Kingdom Park. He’s seen how these magical wishes are made possible first-hand and is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be a part of something bigger than himself that impacts so many families each year. When asked about what it means to help grant wishes, Nathaniel said, “it’s humbling to think that kids can choose anything in the world for their wish, and they choose to come visit us at Walt Disney World Resort. It’s a tremendous honor that they choose our parks, our characters, our cruises and that the emotional connection that they feel with the Disney brand gives us the ability to make this happen for them.” His favorite thing is when he’s working in one of the parks and hears the incredible stories of wish kids whose wishes were granted in the past and that the experience meant so much to them that they wanted to come back many years later and re-live the experience with their loved ones. “One of my favorite stories that comes to mind when we talk about Make-A-Wish is a time when I was working as an entertainment captain at the Magic Kingdom and we had a little girl from Make-A-Wish tell us that it was her wish to have a tea party with Alice and the Mad Hatter, so we arranged for her and her family to join us in the Disney Wish Lounge for the ultimate Mad Tea Party featuring the guests of honor from ‘Alice in Wonderland,’” said Nathaniel. “Over the course of the tea party, this little girl was given the chance to hang out, sing ‘The Unbirthday Song’ and even ask the Mad Hatter all about what kind of trouble he gets himself into. She was able to interact with her favorite Disney characters just like any other kid would be able to do and it was a moment I’ll never forget.” “I’ve always loved working for Disney so much, being able to provide something like this to these special kids just brings another layer to the job. I find it very humbling to think that these kids choose to come to a Disney Park and we get to be the keepers of the magic for them — we get to give kids and families going through adversity what Walt Disney hoped our Parks would be, a source of joy and inspiration to all the world, including a little bit of pixie dust.” View the full article

We’re in the season of love and Disney World is getting in the spirit with their unique Valentine’s Day offerings. Whether it’s a Sprinkles cupcake or Baby Yoda merch, you can find something for that special someone in your life. Disney’s Pop Century Resort With the holiday also comes special food and drinks that you can only get this time of year. Petals Pool Bar at Disney’s Pop Century Resort is known for coming up with some crazy cocktails for Halloween and Christmas, and now we’ve gotten to try their latest Valentine’s Day offering. Their new delicious drink is called the Heart-Poppin’ Punch, but don’t worry. Your heart won’t literally pop out of your chest, you’ll just get that warm, “butterflies in your stomach” feeling. Heart-Poppin’ Punch menu This fruity concoction is mixed with Southern Comfort whiskey, Amaretto, pineapple juice, orange juice, cranberry juice, and grenadine. It’s garnished with a slice of orange and a maraschino cherry. Heart-Poppin’-Punch The combination of the different juices creates this beautiful coral color that instantly fits in with the holiday. The cocktail finds a good balance between the sweetness of the juice and the bitterness of the alcohol, although it does lean to the sweet side. Heart-Poppin’ Punch Sweet, refreshing, not too much bite: just how things should be on Valentine’s Day. You can grab yourself one of these lovely drinks for $13.00 and some tax, but the bar is enforcing a two drink maximum on these. Enjoy these while you can. Today started off for us like any regular day at the Magic Kingdom. Everything was blue skies and Mickey balloons! Tra-la-la! Magic Kingdom But then, things started getting a little frantic when we realized a treat we’ve eaten a million times has suddenly VANISHED from Disney World without a trace! That’s right friends — the beloved Giant Mickey Celebration Donut is currently MISSING! We’re out here searching high and low for it to make sure it hasn’t just been relocated since it’s been known to move around. We’ve checked all of its former stomping grounds including Main Street Bakery, The Lunching Pad in Tomorrowland, and the Cheshire Cafe, buuuuuut we haven’t been able to locate it yet! We’re actually starting to get a little worried it might really be GONE! Celebration Donut We’re trying to stay positive just in case the Celebration Donut is only temporarily unavailable! Sometimes our favorite snacks inexplicably vanish only to return a few days later like nothing ever happened! And it is quite possible that they’re simply out of stock. Oh, how we’re hoping THAT’S the case! Mickey Celebration Donut But if you’ll recall, the Celebration Donut debuted for Mickey’s 90th Birthday celebration — which ended quite a while ago! Does this departure mark the unceremonious end of one of our all-time favorite EATS?!? We certainly hope not! We’ll keep you posted as we continue our doughy investigation, but for now, please keep the Celebration Donut in your thoughts! What do you think has happened to the Celebration Donut? The times — they’re a-changin’ in Hollywood Studios! Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway Entrance We’re starting to get used to writing about hours changes in Hollywood Studios. It seems like every week they’re either open earlier or closing later to accommodate crowds for Rise of the Resistance. We’ve seen the hours receive an extension in January and again for February, as well as a change to Extra Magic Hours in March. Well now, March is joining in on the extension on park hours trend with a change to the park close in the first week of the month! We saw the closing time go from 8 PM to 8:30 PM on March 1st-2nd, and March 4th-6th. For some reason, March 3rd wasn’t included in the change. Maybe they need guests out of the park to prep for the opening of Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway the following morning. Extra Magic Hours on the 1st have also shifted from 8 PM – 10 PM to 8:30 PM to 10:30 PM. As of right now, the opening times all remain at 9 AM. You can see the previous hours reflected here. Hollywood Studios March Hours This change does seem rather minor but it is indicative that February won’t be the last month we see more hours in Hollywood Studios. We’ll be sure to keep an eye on the schedule to make sure we let you know of any more changes! Click here to check out the other recent changes to hours of operation in Hollywood Studios!
