  1. Our hearts have been fluttering with all the festive and delicious Valentine’s Treats we’ve been finding around Walt Disney World. Valentine’s Day Red Velvet Whoopie Pies Gasparilla Island Grill at Disney’s Grand Floridian has already introduced several items just for the occasion, including the Cherry Almond Cupcake and Heart-Shaped Whoopie Pies, but now we’re back checking out a sweet sip just in time for the day of love! If the holidays have you in need of a caffeine rush, they are also serving up a Chocolate-Dipped Strawberry Latte. Chocolate-Dipped Strawberry Latte It’s described as a Swiss Chocolate and Strawberry flavored Latte that is topped with Whipped Cream and a Chocolate Drizzle. Chocolate + Strawberry + Coffee…Sounds almost too good to be true, don’t you think? Chocolate-dipped Strawberry Latte Sadly, it was too good to be true. This tasted just like a plain ole latte to us. We couldn’t detect any hints of strawberry and only a slight note of chocolate and espresso. This will fit the bill just fine if you’re after a nice cup of coffee, as long as you don’t get your hopes up for the chocolate covered strawberry coffee bliss we were hoping for! Chocolate-dipped Strawberry Latte The Chocolate-Dipped Strawberry Latte is available for $4.59 of a snack credit on the Disney Dining Plan. This is a good choice if you’re in need of some caffeine, but if you’re looking for sweet treats here, stick to the other Valentine’s offerings at Gasparilla Island Grill! 2. We’ve been having a sweet time eating our way around Walt Disney World trying out all the new seasonal goodies. Cherry Almond Cupcake at Disney’s Grand Floridian With Valentine’s Day upon us, we’ve seen heart-shaped whoopie pies and even cherry almond cupcakes! Over at Roaring Fork in Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, we found a brand new Seasonal Cupcake nestled in the display case just next to the delicious Campfire Cupcake. Roaring Fork Bakery Case Adorned with red and white frosting, multi-colored sprinkles, and heart-shaped Strawberry slices, this vanilla cupcake has a sweet surprise on the inside! Holiday Cupcake The spongey cake opens up to reveal a thick strawberry jam. We loved the texture and flavors! It wasn’t too sweet or too tart. Holiday Cupcake Check Out This Valentine’s Cupcake from Disney’s Grand Floridian! While the icing was bright in color, it’s light in flavor. The strawberries are dried, meaning they’re thin and don’t carry much flavor. While this cupcake is bright and beautiful on the outside, it’s nothing to write home about. The flavors are good, but didn’t wow us! Holiday Cupcake You can find this cupcake at Roaring Fork at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge for $5.99 or a snack credit if you’re on the Disney Dining Plan. If a cupcake is a must this Valentine’s season, we recommend the Cherry Almond Cupcake from Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. Read all about the Cherry Almond Cupcake here! 4. Breakfast? Good. GLITTERY drinks during breakfast? Even better! Tower of Pancakes at Trattoria al Forno While dining at the Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast at Trattoria al Forno, we noticed a major upgrade to the Cocktail Menu (hint: it’s SPARKLY!). Many of the drinks found on their Signature Cocktail Menu are themed to characters you can meet during this breakfast, like the blue-hued ode to Ariel, Life Is The Bubbles. But a drink themed to that long-haired blondie, Rapunzel, caught our attention! Signature Cocktail Menu Nothing really was calling our name on the drink menu this morning. But then, our server mentioned one of the drinks had a GLITTERY secret, and we knew we had to order the Magic Flower cocktail as soon a possible! This drink will run you $12 and is made with Absolut Vodka, Pineapple Juice, and Cranberry Juice. Oh yea, and glitter!! Sorry not sorry, but we’re suckers for a sparkly drink, so we were hopeful it would taste as good as it looked! Just look how preeeeetty… Magic Flower Talk about a wake-up call! This was sooooo good and refreshing. The pineapple was the strongest taste by far. We really didn’t pick up much of the cranberry or the vodka. But guys: sparkly drink. Winner. Magic Flower While a tad on the sweeter side, if you love pineapple, this one is for you! We’re happy to drink a glittery cocktail themed after Rapunzel any day of the week! Grab the Magic Flower during the Bon Voyage Breakfast at Trattoria al Forno for $12.00. Have you dined at the Bon Voyage Breakfast at Trattoria al Forni? Let us know! 6. With the recent (and crazy!) opening of Rise of the Resistance in Hollywood Studios behind us, we can now start looking forward to all the NEW attractions coming to Disney World over the next few years. There are a few BIG attractions on the horizon that we can’t wait to experience! Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind! will bring the first roller coaster to Epcot; and over in Magic Kingdom, we are anxiously awaiting the opening of TRON Lightcycle Run! But with each new ride opening comes the big question: How will these new experiences change the landscape of FastPass+? After the announcement that Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run would begin accepting FastPass+ and the subsequent Hollywood Studios FastPass tier changes, we started to ponder how future attractions could affect FastPass. TRON immediately jumped into our minds. Could it possibly alter the FastPass structure in Magic Kingdom? Let’s take a deeper look! What are FastPass+ Tiers? A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away (j/k…it was seriously less than 10 years ago!), guests in Disney World used paper FastPasses they ran around to get that very day. No heavy-duty pre-planning required. Fastpass Entrance for Splash Mountain When FastPass+ was fully rolled out in early 2014, things changed. Now, guests were glued to computers and phones 60 days out (for resort guests) or 30 days out (for non-resort guests) hoping to snag their top choices for attractions well in advance of their trip. FastPass Booking Epcot and Hollywood Studios were the first to debut Tiers for the FastPass rides. This meant guests could only choose one of those most popular experiences for their pre-booked FastPass, and must use their other two pre-boked FastPasses for less popular attractions. This distributed the supply and demand. Slinky Dog Dash Fastpass+ Sign Animal Kingdom joined in with Tiers a few years later in 2017, once Pandora: The World of AVATAR opened up and brought with it the still wildly popular Flight of Passage and Na’vi River Journey. Those two attractions were, and still are, the only Tier 1 selections available in the park. Over the years, attractions have shifted from Tier 1 to Tier 2 and vice versa depending on what happens in each individual park. But one thing remains the same: Tiers means having to make tough choices when it’s FastPass-picking time. What do you REALLY want to ride versus what do you not mind skipping or waiting in the stand-by line for? Magic Kingdom is the ONLY Park WITHOUT FastPass+ Tiers The one park to hold out introducing Tiers has been Magic Kingdom. Since the first days of FastPass+, every FastPass+ eligible attraction in the park was equally available for all three FastPass selections (initially, they even gave guests a “bonus” fourth FastPass! Those were the days!). Space Mountain This park has substantially more FastPass+ experiences available than any other park — 25 versus Epcot’s 11, Hollywood Studios’ 14, and Animal Kingdom’s 14. It’s also relatively easy to snag a FastPass for most rides you’re after in Magic Kingdom, with the notable exception being the park’s newest attraction, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. But all of that could change when TRON Lightcycle Run opens in 2021. How Could TRON Lightcycle Run Impact The FastPass Landscape of Magic Kingdom? Not only will TRON dramatically alter the look and feel of Tomorrowland in Magic Kingdom when it opens, but it could potentially alter the FastPass structure as well. TRON Rising Behind Space Mountain If it receives anything close to the reception its Shanghai counterpart received in 2016, the Magic Kingdom will be bracing for large crowds wanting a ride on a Lightcycle. What could that mean for FastPass? Well, as we’ve seen with Rise of the Resistance, crowd control is of utmost importance to Disney. If large crowds are anticipated, the Boarding Group could potentially be used for TRON as it has been for Rise on both coasts. If this happens, then TRON will likely NOT accept FastPasses immediately after opening. Tron Lightcycle Vehicle Photo Op But if Boarding Groups aren’t used, and FastPasses are instituted immediately when TRON opens, Magic Kingdom will have two highly sought after attractions (along with its three other mountains — Space, Splash, and Big Thunder), and many guests wanting quick access to them. Could that be enough to tip the scales in favor of Magic Kingdom finally joining the other parks in the world of Tiered FastPasses? If so, what would that mean for the future of booking FastPasses in the park? How Could Tiers in Magic Kingdom Change Your Planning Process? As we’ve seen with the other 3 parks and their Tier systems, guests may face a tough decision in deciding what their number one “gotta ride it” attraction might be. For some guests, prioritizing attractions can be as simple as looking at their travel party. IF FastPass Tiers were ever introduced into Magic Kingdom, that could potentially mean choosing between the family-friendly Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and the “big-kids-only” TRON. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train This is very similar to the “To Frozen Ever After or Not” conundrum parents can face in Epcot as well. Do you sacrifice a FastPass on Test Track so your Elsa loving child can ride Frozen Ever After, or do you tough it out and hope for the best in the Frozen standby line? Do you book an early Dining Reservation at nearby Akershus in hopes of being near the ride when it opens so you can ride Frozen first, then head to Test Track for your FastPass? Decisions, decisions! Frozen Ever After Entrance in Epcot With so much thought centered on Tier 1 and 2, we rarely ever hear mention of a possible Tier 3; but in Magic Kingdom that third tier may make a lot of sense. With a number of FastPass options that typically have a very short wait, crowds could possibly be better dispersed if required to select one choice form the most popular attractions, one mid-level popularity attraction (e.g. the Mountains, Peter Pan, etc), and one of the least popular. Strategies for Tackling FastPass Tiers We stress that this is all speculation at this point, but if it were to ever happen, how would we handle FastPass Tiers in Magic Kingdom? Well, we could start by first looking at how we tackle them in the other parks. The key to nabbing those sought after FastPasses is planning ahead. Set that alarm for 7AM EST 60 days out from your arrival date at your Disney World resort and be ready to click fast. If you’re staying at a Disney Resort, you can book your FastPasses for the length of your trip on the 60 day out mark from your FIRST day; so jumping to one of the later days of your trip first for those REALLY tough FastPasses can give you a better chance of scoring one. Flight of Passage Have your park days planned out ahead, so you know what you’re doing when you start booking FastPasses. Aim for hardest-to-get FastPasses first, then fill out the days based on what you were able to score. Do you have others in your group? Make sure you’re all connected in your MyDisneyExperience accounts. If there are other trusted Disney-obsessives in your group, split up the work so you can each go after popular FastPasses for your group at the same time (e.g. you grab Flight of Passage on Thursday for everyone while she grabs Seven Dwarfs Mine Train on Wednesday for everyone). Now the tough decision: what to do about those Tier 1 rides you DIDN’T get a FastPass for? You have a few options. Arrive at the parks early! The early bird really does catch the worm when it comes to Disney World. Extra Magic Hours in the mornings, available to all resort guests, are a great opportunity to jump in shorter lines while many guests are still waking up or eating breakfast. Early Morning at Cinderella Castle The same applies for later nights. Kids grow tired and guests can head back to get some rest. The later you can hold on in a park, the better your odds of jumping in a shorter line. The crowds will significantly drop off and you’ll find lines MUCH more manageable. Plus, remember that you have up until the minute the parks close to get in line! We’ve jumped in line for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Space Mountain, and more right before the Magic Kingdom closed and waited VERY short wait times! Space Mountain at Night Be sure to also take advantage of booking extra FastPasses in the parks. Once you use up your 3 for the day, you can immediately book another available option! This means as soon as you scan your MagicBand for your last FastPass, you can immediately open MyDisneyExperience on your phone and book a new one! Don’t find what ride you want? Keep checking! The available FastPasses in MyDisneyExperience can change frequently, so your vigilance in refreshing the screen can pay off! Keep Checking — you Never Know What FastPasses are Available! Want even MORE FastPass tips? Check out our video below! The future of Disney World is looking especially bright over the next few years, and we’ll be ready for all the new attractions and any new challenges that they may bring to our planning. The shape of FastPasses in Disney World has changed dramatically in just the past decade alone, so we’re prepared — and will keep shifting our planning suggestions — for anything new FastPass decides to throw our way! 7. While Disneyland might be the Most Magical Place on Earth, sometimes disaster strikes (uh oh). Sleeping Beauty Castle Since the parks are all about the health and safety of their guests. Tonight, a small fire broke out backstage near Main Street, U.S.A., and it’s no surprise that crews and firefighters arrived on the scene quickly to take care of the situation. Although it was promptly put out by crew members, a fire erupted Thursday night in Disneyland. And, thanks to @the.house.of.wildflowers, we’re able to share with you a look inside the park while it was happening! Disneyland Fire According to our own reporter that was visiting during the time, guests weren’t fully aware of the situation while they were in the parks. As she was in Adventureland, the power started going out around the area until there weren’t even work lights visible. However, the situation was quickly fixed and service lights were turned on, including the glow sticks used by Cast Members. Stores Closed in the Park Due to the nature of the situation, officials closed off everything from Jolly Holiday to the Pirates of the Caribbean bridge to keep guests safe. All the stores on the Frontierland side of the parks were closed as well. Cast Members Handling the Disneyland Fire According to ABC Los Angeles, no injuries or damage were reported from the fire (and we are so thankful!). 9. Y’all ready for this! It’s been a LOOOONG time coming, but it’s FINALLY HERE! City Works’ Ribbon Cutting Ceremony This Afternoon The ribbon has officially been cut and the giant novelty scissors have been safely tucked away…for now! We’re heading IN to check out Disney World’s newest premium sports bar and restaurant — the City Works Eatery and Pour House! The City Works Eatery and Pour House restaurant chain currently operates nine locations, and now they’ve just opened their tenth location right here in Disney World! Don’t have time to go in? Just swing by their outdoor bar to snag a quick brew on-the-go! City Works Outdoor Bar Atmosphere The inside of the new City Works at Disney Springs looks and feels a lot like the City Works we’ve previewed before (we previewed one of their locations when we heard the restaurant was coming to Disney World which you can read more about HERE!). City Works in Disney Springs And like the other City Works we’ve seen, this place also has one of the biggest tv walls we’ve EVER seen (we’re talkin’ a 168″ big boy surrounded by four additional 110″ high-def screens AND twelve more 65″ TVs!). City Works City Works will be THE SPOT to watch all your favorite upcoming live sporting events like the NCAA tournament and Major League Baseball games this spring, so plan on getting there early to stake out your spot! Oh, and check out all those DRAFT TAPS underneath those TVs! We gotta admit, this is ONE glorious wall! No wonder it’s the main focal point of City Works — this feature wall has got it goin’ on! City Works Drinks But back to the main reason we’re here — to talk about City Works Eatery & Pour House’s menu — which is QUITE extensive! You’ll find a bar menu that’s several pages long and includes craft beers, macro lagers, frozen drinks as well as wine available on tap! City Works Beer Menu Meanwhile, you’ll also find the beers-on-tap displayed on the walls of the restaurant. This side is categorized into Wheats, Belgians, Ciders, Stouts and Porters, Macro-Brews, Cider and Seltzer, and Wines. The Wall of BEER! Meanwhile, the other massive wall has Pale Ales and IPAs, Fruits and Sours, Independent Lagers, Strong and Double Imperial IPAs, and a Rotating category. City Works is proud to feature local Florida breweries on its menu and 30-40% of its draft beer taps are Florida micro beers! The OTHER Wall of BEER! City Works also has Happy Hour specials Monday through Friday from 3 PM – 6 PM! Enjoy $2 off well drinks, local craft beers and glasses of wine, and $7 bar bites! There’s also drink specials available from 10 PM-midnight. Happy Hours! Eats We’ve eaten at City Works twice in our hometown. While we quite enjoyed ourselves the first time, we didn’t have the best experience when we ate there the second time. So honestly, we didn’t really know what to expect at this new location. If you’re craving some American-style food to go with your beer and sports, then you’ll be in good company at City Works! City Works The restaurant offers appetizers, burgers, salads, entrees, desserts, and more! We’ve noticed many of the plates are designed to be shared. First up, we tried the Chicken Tinga Tacos for $16! They’re made with house-smoked pulled chicken, avocado mash, pickled red onion, grilled corn, micro cilantro, queso fresco, white corn tortillas, corn, and black bean salad. Chicken Tinga Tacos These tasted so fresh and light, yet had a nice spiciness to them. We also enjoyed the corn salad they came with as it was rather citrusy, which made it pair well with the spicy tinga chicken! Chicken Tinga Tacos We also ordered the Duck Nachos for $18. These, which are known as a City Works specialty, feature pulled confit duck, pepper jack cheese sauce, pickled jalapeños, smoked tomatoes, red onion, white beans, avocado, micro cilantro, queso fresco, and wonton chips. Duck Nachos We enjoyed the flavors on these, too. The melted pepper jack cheese sauce is sooooo good. And we liked that the chips are wontons instead of regular nacho chips. The duck confit was good as there was a slight kick from the jalapeño. But if you don’t like it hot, you can just remove those and you’ll likely find that the rest of the dish is pretty mild. Duck Nachos The last entrée we ordered was the Nashville Hot Chicken Wrap with Fries for $17. The wrap is made with buttermilk breaded crispy chicken breast, hot cayenne pepper mop, romaine, cucumbers, tomatoes, red onion, ranch dressing, and a flour tortilla. It also comes with a side of fries that’s been tossed in parsley and olive oil! Nashville Hot Chicken Wrap with Fries The mop is truly HOT HOT HOT. The chef even came out to warn us that other tables who had ordered them thought they were too spicy — but the wrap couldn’t truly be called Nashville hot chicken without a bit of a kick — so, know, you get what you pay for, literally! We personally weren’t too overwhelmed by the spice and we enjoyed our side of fries! Nashville Hot Chicken Wrap with Fries For dessert, we tried the S’mores Dip for $10! This sweet treat is made with Hershey’s chocolate, marshmallows, and graham crackers. S’mores Dip The dessert wasn’t our favorite (we’ve had their Peanut Butter Snickers Pie and it was WAAAAY better). There was a ton of marshmallows but very little chocolate. It’d be much better if they’d cut the marshmallow in half and layered the chocolate inside, but even then, it still would be pretty basic! Honestly, it reminds us of the $40 Gibsons S’more Baked Alaska from the Boathouse. It sounds good on the menu, but unfortunately, it’s kind of a letdown and both s’mores dishes totally something we could make at home cheaper. S’mores Dip For some reason, it’s hard to find a good s’mores dessert in Disney Springs. To put it simply, the s’mores dip was underwhelming and didn’t blow us away. Moving on! Don’t forget to check out City Works’ Rock N Roll Weekend Brunch! We’ve heard Jon Bun Jovi will be making a special cameo appearance — the cinnamon roll, not the famous musician! Rock N Roll Brunch Read all about the Rock N’ Roll Brunch here! As we mentioned earlier, we’ve been to City Works in our hometown a few times. Here’s what else we’ve tried as the menu options are likely very similar to what you’ll find at Disney Springs. We found the Pretzel Bites ($11) served with gouda cheese sauce to be pillowy carb heaven. These were easy to eat and hard to share! We’re happy to see that they are on the Disney Springs City Works menu as well. Pretzel Bites with Gouda Cheese Sauce The Cheese Curds ($11) with smoked tomato coulis were another enjoyable option. I mean it’s fried cheese, so you know we were totally on board. Sadly, we weren’t the biggest fans of the sauce due to the “smoked” flavors. So maybe skip the sauce but go for the cheese. Always go for the cheese! Cheese Curds with Smoked Tomato Coulis Known as a sharable on the City Works menu, we also have all the details on the Buffalo Chicken Dip. It’ll cost ya $14 and it’s made with pulled Buffalo chicken, bleu cheese cream, and housemade giardiniera (marinated vegetables). This is a gluten-free option that we found to be nice, creamy, and flavorful without an overwhelming amount of spice. Buffalo Chicken Dip Now, to tell ya about the burgs. Back in our hometown, we tried the Smokehouse Burger for $20.00. It’s made with house-smoked BBQ pulled pork shoulder, smoked provolone, BBQ bacon onion relish, Carolina mustard BBQ sauce, and crispy buttermilk onion strings. This burger was super savory and was definitely on the heavier, messier side. Smokehouse Burger We also tried out the Filet Mignon Sliders for $21. Served on pretzel rolls, these little babies are snuggled up with some horseradish cream and caramelized onions. Filet Mignon Sliders There’s also the City Works Pork Chop for $26. This savory dish is topped with a potato purée, chipotle maple glaze, cinnamon-spiced apples, crispy buttermilk onion rings. Sadly, ours was slightly over-cooked and a bit tough for our liking. Pork Chop at City Works Annnd we couldn’t wrap up this review without telling you about the Peanut Butter Snickers Pie for $10. All we can say about this cloud of goodness is YUM. Y’all. We are very happy that this guy made it onto the menu. I mean it’s made with Oreo cookie crust, peanut butter mousse, whipped cream, Snickers, and even has a chocolate and caramel sauce. Where can ya go wrong? Peanut Butter Snickers Pie Read our hometown City Works review here! Nosh or Not? Check out City Works IF: Your ideal vacation includes drinking beer and watching your favorite sports You wanna check out some great beers from local Florida microbreweries American eats (with a twist!) are your JOCK JAM!!! Pass on City Works IF: You’re not into watching sports and prefer a quieter, more relaxing dining experience You don’t like 168″ TVs You want to eat more international fare (there’s plenty of other options in Disney Springs if you just want to grab a great beer and City Works before or after you eat somewhere else, tho!) Overall We think City Works is a good new addition to Disney Springs, and we expect this will be a hopping joint over by the NBA Experience — another one new destination for sports lovers that recently opened in Disney World! It’s fun for those looking to kick back and relax with some above-average bar food! Swing by City Works today and see it for yourself! 12. At last, City Works Eatery and Pour House is NOW OPEN in Disney Springs! City Works We can’t wait to dive into more cheese curds and pretzel bites (helloooo gouda cheese sauce), but we need to head over to the bar to find the perfect ‘pour’ to wash down all that cheesy goodness. And you’ll wanna read this before you go — we’ve got a great way to save some cash money when you DO head to City Works in Disney World. Why pay FULL PRICE when you don’t have to? City Works actually has HAPPY HOUR specials that you def. need to know about, sports fans. The Wall of BEER! Monday-Thursday from 3-6PM you’ll find $7 bar bites AND $2 off well drinks, local beers, and glasses of wine. (Not an early bird? City Works’ got your back with a SECOND Happy Hour with those drink specials from 10PM-Midnight each night.) And don’t worry — you’ve got a LOT to choose from when you do hit up Happy Hour. We’re talking 90 (!!!) local, regional, and global craft beers on draft (so you may need a minute to figure out where you want to start, just FYI). Oh and don’t forget, if you choose one of the 30-40% of beers supplied from local breweries, you can support local businesses simply by enjoying a drink! (Not all heroes wear capes.) But no worries — if beer isn’t your style, the bar is fully stocked with wines on draft, seasonal cocktails, and a variety of whiskey. City Works Stop by City Works for lunch or dinner Monday-Thursday 11 AM to midnight, Friday 11 AM to 1 AM, and Sunday 10:30 AM to midnight. You can also stop by to try their brunch offerings (featuring Jon Bun Jovi), served weekends 10 AM-3 PM or get your breakfast fix any day of the week from their all day breakfast options. City Works would be a great spot in Disney Springs to grab a drink with friends, watch the big game (on the 168″ video wall, perhaps), or to get your fill of classic American comfort food. We will be checking out this new City Works location soon, so stay tuned for a full review! We already tried a BUNCH of City Works food at another location, so click here to check it out. 13. We’re always on the lookout for new MagicBands to update our style. We’re already added the Rock the Dots MagicBand to our collection, we need more! Rock the Dots MagicBand Well, it looks like Disney heard our prayers because we found two new MagicBands at Disney Springs that are making us long for the good old days. Retro is in right now, especially with the massive amount of retro merch Disney has been releasing lately. And now there’s a NEW Retro Disney World MagicBand that’s taking us back to ’71 (which happens to be the year Disney World opened!). The red, orange, yellow and black color scheme and the 70’s Walt Disney World font make this MagicBand feel like a bracelet out of a time capsule. Retro Disney World MagicBand This is just the latest piece we’ve found in the Retro Collection at Disney World. Now, you can be fully decked out in retro garb, from your feet to your wrist. You can add one to your growing collection for $29.99. You can check out the rest of the Retro Collection right here! We also found this Mickey MagicBand with the main mouse all over it. Mickey appears on one side of the band in his classic design, while his name laps around the other side. Disney’s making sure we know that this is a Mickey band. Mickey MagicBand This band’s aesthetic is pretty simple, but Mickey’s not about a lot of flash! You can grab one of these for yourself for $24.99. If you want to grab either of these new bands, hurry down to Disney Pin Traders at Disney Springs. They should also be available at other locations throughout the parks, so be on the lookout! 25. Disney Skyliner has been a super-convenient way to zip around between several of the Disney World parks and resorts since it debuted last year! Disney’s Skyliner That is — if it doesn’t break down while you’re on it! You see, every now and then Disney Skyliner experiences technical difficulties. Luckily, none of the interruptions in service (that we know of) have been quite as severe as the three-hour delay the new Disney World gondola system suffered during its first week when two of its cars collided. But still, if you get trapped on the Disney Skyliner during one of these breakdowns, it might cause you to run a late for that clutch Slinky Dog Dash FastPass or Topolino’s Terrace dining reservation — AND that would be a big bummer! Epcot’s International Gateway Skyliner Station During Today’s Closure That’s why when the Disney Skyliner’s Epcot line temporarily stopped for about 15 minutes today, Cast Members were armed and at the ready to help make it right for guests who had been stuck. The gondolas were unloaded at the Skyliner’s International Gateway Station where guests received a bonus FastPass for the inconvenience — and it was good for any Epcot attraction of their choice THAT DAY! Cast Members Issuing FastPasses to Guests Who Were Stuck on Disney Skyliner While Disney Skyliner still seems to be ironing out some kinks, we think it’s kind of Cast Members to offer guests a little something for their troubles when these problems arise! While we’re not sure if this is common practice for when the Disney Skyliner stops working, we’ve seen in the past on attractions like Rise of the Resistance, Cast Members give out 1-day park tickets or additional boarding groups or FastPasses when it broke down on its opening day. Cast Members Giving Out FastPasses For now, Disney recommends that you try to compensate for any Disney Skyliner delays by giving yourself extra time. And who knows, if you do get stuck (even briefly) you may find yourself walking out of the Skyliner Station with a bonus FastPass in your pocket! Have you ever been stuck on Disney Skyliner? Did Disney give you any compensation for your time? Let us know in the comments below! Related posts: Disney World Skyliner Gondola PRO TIPS: Here’s What You Need To Know Before You FLY! News!
