A new era of adventure awaits at Disneyland Paris as Disney Adventure World invites guests to experience its bold new stories and immersive worlds. Among the newest additions is The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge, a dining destination that blends elegant design, elevated cuisine, and royal storytelling into a truly distinctive experience. During our visit, we had the opportunity to sample both the lounge offerings and the table service restaurant, and from the moment we arrived, it was clear this was a place designed to be savored. Located along Adventure Way, The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge draws inspiration from Art nouveau, with graceful lines, refined details, and an atmosphere that felt both timeless and welcoming. The location offers two distinct dining experiences under one roof. On one side, the lounge welcomes guests looking to relax with specialty drinks and shareable bites. Meanwhile, the other offers a more formal experience during breakfast, lunch, and dinner, where a three-course meal unfolds alongside visits from Disney Princesses in a setting that felt genuinely fit for royalty. Beautiful Views and Artwork in The Regal View Lounge To begin our culinary journey, we stepped into the lounge side, the first of its kind located inside either of the parks at Disneyland Paris. What immediately captured our attention was the sweeping views across Adventure Bay, with World of Frozen rising beautifully on the horizon beyond the windows. Inside, the space feels inviting and intimate, layered in rich hues of navy blue, burnt orange, and mustard yellow, all balanced by warm wooden accents throughout. Subtle royal details are thoughtfully woven into the design, from charming portraits of beloved Disney sidekicks to a stunning hand-painted mosaic of Sleeping Beauty Castle showcased behind the bar. That mosaic quickly became one of our favorite details, mirroring the iconic castle that greets guests in Disneyland Park. Around the room, the wallpaper adds another layer of storytelling, featuring elegant trees inspired by Sleeping Beauty, rooted both in the Walt Disney Animation Studios classic and the castle itself. Completing the space, a large portrait of The Regal View anchors the room, serving as a striking reflection of the artistry behind this new dining destination. Let’s Begin with a Kir It was time to begin sipping, starting with a selection of seasonal Royal Kirs, a choice that felt perfectly at home at Disneyland Paris. A Kir Royal is a traditional French cocktail, typically made with champagne and crème de cassis, a blackcurrant liqueur, and it has long been enjoyed across France. From April through June, the lounge offers four Kirs Royal variations, each putting a creative twist on the classic while honoring its French roots. These include combinations featuring Pierre Mignon Grande Reserve Champagne, exclusive to Disneyland Paris, paired with blackberry cream and apple, peach liqueur with mint leaf, or violet liqueur accented with a pansy flower, as well as a nonalcoholic sparkling rosé blended with pineapple syrup and pineapple. We also were able to sample three of the lounge’s signature cocktails, each one distinct and thoughtfully presented. Princely Eden leans bright and refreshing, blending white rum with pear and passion fruit nectars, kombucha, sparkling sugar, and a hint of green apple, finished with fruity jelly and a delicate pansy flower. Ruby Diadem offers a richer profile, combining hibiscus tea, guava drink, coconut purée, pomegranate syrup, coconut emulsion, and crispy raspberry for a layered and indulgent sip. Rounding out the tasting, Enchanted Carriage delivers warmth and comfort, blending herbal tea, caramelized almonds and cinnamon with apple juice and maple syrup for a cocktail that felt cozy and enchanting. For bites, we enjoyed a mosaic of delicate tea sandwiches with smoked salmon sandwich bread, fish rillettes, cucumber, wasabi cream and omelet, and designed to complement the drinks. We also sampled all four of the caramelized puff pastries created to pair with the seasonal Royal Kirs, adding a buttery, lightly sweet element that rounded out the lounge experience. Disney Princesses and Fine Details in the Dining Room From there, we transitioned to the restaurant side, where the experience began well before ever stepping into the dining room itself. Behind the host desk, nine delicately designed plates immediately caught the eye, each one representing a Disney Princess. These exquisite pieces were crafted by Royal Delft, the renowned Dutch earthenware manufacturer and official supplier to the Dutch royal family, setting an unmistakable tone of craftsmanship and elegance from the very beginning. As we continued down the hallway, we noticed portraits of Disney Princesses lining the walls, subtly foreshadowing the experience ahead. On either side of the space stood two striking vases inspired by Mulan and Tiana. Inside the dining room, our first impression was its unmistakable sense of grandeur. Delicate details drew the eye from floor to ceiling, including elegant valances framing the windows, each embroidered with an “RV” monogram while Art nouveau–style lamps cast a warm, ambient glow throughout the room. The carpet, woven with floral motifs, made the space feel grounded, bringing richness and cohesion to the room. Murals depicting Disney Princesses and Queens also lined the walls, adding a layer of storytelling. The experience was further elevated by sweeping views of Adventure Bay, with World of Frozen unfolding just beyond the windows. Enjoying First Course Offerings Inside The Regal View Restaurant Our meal began with a taste of the restaurant’s two signature beverages. The Orchard Whisper was delicious, offering a crisp, refreshing blend of white wine, apple juice, elderflower liqueur, and verjuice for a bright and balanced first sip. The Floral Whisper leans into softer, more aromatic notes, combining hibiscus and green tea with apple juice, raspberry, and blackcurrant flavors for a drink that felt delicate. After that, two first course offerings were brought to our table, presenting freshness and balance. The Swiss salad features a medley of raw and pickled fruits and vegetables, paired with Grisons cured beef, Tête de Moine cheese, pine nuts, and a raspberry vinegar dressing that tied everything together beautifully. Alternatively, the avocado and ginger mousse provides a softer contrast, complemented by mango tartare, pumpkin seed crumble, and a creamy dill oil sauce that added both richness and a subtle herbal lift. The Main Course at Regal View Offers Delightful BitesFor the second course(which also serves as the main), two standout dishes were presented. The gilthead seabream was prepared with a fragrant kaffir lime and vanilla sauce, accompanied by silky sweet potato purée and tender braised bok choy. Alongside it, a North African-style roast guinea fowl with dried fruits and lemon confit. Putting the Cherry on Top with a Regal View Dessert Dessert, the most anticipated course, arrived as a trio of beautifully executed, royal-inspired creations. The vanilla ganache mousse cake features a bright raspberry insert and a crispy praline base reminiscent of a storybook, finished with the iconic “RV” emblem. A white chocolate mousse cake layered with pineapple-passion fruit, almond, and coconut mousse cake evokes the feeling of an ocean adventure through its bright, tropical flavors. To conclude the meal, a Marc de Champagne frozen soufflé was served, offering a refined and distinctly French finale. The Regal View Restaurant is Perfect for Passionate Disney Foodies While the cuisine alone would have made for a memorable dining experience, The Regal View Restaurant also unfolds as a fully immersive royal moment where storytelling extended well beyond the plate. Throughout the meal, eight Disney Princesses make graceful visits, but one of the most distinctive elements is seeing Aurora, Mulan, and Ariel in outfits created exclusively for Disneyland Paris, making each interaction feel truly special and perfectly suited to the royal setting. As our time at The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge came to a close, it was clear this was far more than a meal. From the Art nouveau details and sweeping views to the thoughtfully curated menus and meaningful character interactions, including the music featuring new renditions of classic Disney Animation songs like “Once Upon a Dream” from Sleeping Beauty, “Colors of the Wind” from Pocahontas, and “When You Wish Upon a Star” from Pinocchio, alongside a piano reprise of the Adventure Way main theme composed by French composer Philippe Rombi. Together, these details created an experience that felt both elevated and deeply immersive. Whether lingering over a cocktail in the lounge or enjoying a multi-course royal dining experience, The Regal View offers a new way to experience Disneyland Paris — one that feels timeless and intentional. Have you ever sat down and asked yourself what life would be like living next to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT? EPCOT Living in Orlando really does have its perks, especially if you’re an avid theme park lover. The city is home to Universal Orlando, Disney World, SeaWorld, water parks, and several other big theme parks. Moving to central Florida is very popular for this reason, alongside other factors as well (like the weather), but Orlando is the pull in Florida because of the parks. That being said, if you want to move here, a new report states that it might be a little difficult! According to a WalletHub study, Orlando is one of the WORST cities for rent affordability in the United States — ranking at 175th. Magic Kingdom Orlando sits in the bottom 10 in terms of affordable places for rent in the United States, ranking as the 8th worst city for affordability. The only cities that are worse for affordable rent are Glendale, CA (7), Bridgeport, CT (6), Jackson, MS (5), New Haven, CT (4), Newark, NJ (3), Detroit, MI (2), and Miami, FL (1). There are a total of 182 U.S. cities evaluated for this study, assessing median annual gross rent versus median household income. Universal Orlando WalletHub indicated that the median annual gross rent percentage of the median annual household income was 28.98%. Which is higher than it was in 2025! Orlando also received a low score of 25.93 out of 100. Bismarck, ND, had the lowest percentage, just like last year, with 15.29%, and a perfect 100 score. So, there’s a HUGE difference in choosing to live in Orlando right now, versus other places. Hollywood Studios We hate to inform you that if your alternative is to go live next to Disneyland instead, it doesn’t look that much better in California, which is known for being an expensive state to live in. Anaheim sits at rank number 164, only 11 spots behind Orlando, with 27.41% of the median household income going towards the median annual gross rent. Disneyland We’re sorry for all the Disney Adults who could use a castle in their backyard, but living next to a Disney Park in the United States is going to be pretty pricey! Maybe we’ll have to look at Paris or Tokyo next. The agents at Small World Vacations know how to save money on your Disney Vacation! When planning a trip to Disney World, one of the most important decisions you’ll make is where to stay. And with so many options, it can be overwhelming, and those Disney prices can add up quick! Renaissance Orlando So if you’re looking to stay in the middle of the action, but maybe for a little cheaper, it’s always a great idea to check out the Disney Springs area resorts. These hotels ARE official Disney hotels, and if you’re looking for proximity and willing to go without some Disney theming, these can be an incredible way to save money on your vacation. Recently, our team stayed at the Renaissance Orlando Resort and Spa, and here is our full review! This resort is located within walking distance to Disney Springs and even gives you the same Early Entry perk offered to Disney Resort guests. They even provide complimentary shuttles to and from the parks. These are two HUGE perks Disney Resort guests receive that you would not miss out on by staying at this hotel! Lobby Moving into the main amenities of this resort, there is a gorgeous pool complete with a pool bar called Agave Fresco open from 11:30 AM to 6:30 PM, perfect for ordering a nice poolside drink! This is an amazing place to relax in between busy park days. Pool Area Then, heading back inside, there is a small cafe called The Grove Café & Brew open from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, where you can order pastries and drinks. A great place to stop earlier in the morning to grab your caffeine boost before heading to the parks. The Grove Café & Brew There is also a small grab-and-go section where you can get a small selection of food and drinks to take with you into the parks or to your room! SO convenient! You can also find a small arcade! This is the perfect stop for your kiddos on a resort day, or even on your check-in while you’re waiting to head into the parks or to Disney Springs. Arcade There are even some amenities that you can’t find at Value Disney resorts, such as a full gym with weights and machines, perfect for a quick workout! Gym And maybe the best amenity of all is the Indulged Spa! There is nothing better on a resort day than heading to the spa for a massage to relax after all of those fun, but exhausting, Disney days! Indulged Spa There is even a sit-down restaurant in the resort, another perk missing from the Disney Value Resorts. Here you can dine at the American Kitchen Bar & Grill to enjoy an amazing meal! Don’t worry, we have a full restaurant review coming to DFB soon, so make sure to keep an eye out! So cool! Now that we’ve gone over all the amenities, let’s dive into the three different room types and pricing of this resort! First up is the Family Suite! Family Suite Living Room This is a two-bedroom suite that can sleep up to 5 people and includes a living room and a four-person table in the common area. We found rates on this suite starting around $400! Four-person table We also love the storage around the TV area, directly across from the couch. TV area with storage To the left of the couch is where you’ll find the balcony. Ours had a pretty fantastic view! Balcony When it comes to the bathroom, we were SO impressed with the amount of counter space — just look how much there is! There are also two sinks, making it easy for 2-3 people to get ready at the same time. Counter Space in the Bathroom Directly across, you’ll find a fantastic tub. It even has jets! Tub Inside the commode room, you’ll find a separate sink, and this is also where you’ll find the shower! Commode room with shower When it comes to sleeping, there are two rooms to explore. The first has one queen-sized bed, a TV, some more storage, and another great view outside. One bed in this room However, there’s also a second room with two twin-sized beds, which also has a TV, a great view, and more storage. Your fifth and final guest can sleep on the pull-out couch in the living room area. This room has two twin beds If you want a room closer to the pool with a view, we recommend checking out the Lanai Rooms, which start around $150 per night (when looking at dates in August 2026). However, we got to see one of their Lanai King Deluxe Bunkbed Rooms, which start at around $180 per night (also in August 2026) and can fit four people. Lanai King Deluxe Bunkbed Room Unlike the family suites, the beds here are all in one room, which means it’s a great fit for families with younger kiddos whom they want to keep an eye on. We do love how the bunkbeds feature Mickey duvets — how fun! The bunkbeds The main bed in the room is a King bed, located right in the center. You’ll find nightstands on either side with charging ports, as well as storage for some of your belongings. King Bed Then, we come to one of the biggest draws of the room — the balcony that looks out over the pool! While this won’t be the best for people who want some peace and quiet, as the pool is often busy, it’s a great way for parents to keep a close eye on their kids without necessarily sitting right at the pool deck. Balcony Opposite the bed, you’ll find a TV on a dresser that allows for more storage, as well as a desk and desk chair. To the left of that, you’ll find a full-length mirror closer to the bathroom. Desk and TV area Right across from the mirror is where you’ll find a small hallway that includes the closet, and past that, the bathroom. Closet You’ll come to the sink area first, which is separate from the shower and commode room. We love that it lights up! Sink area Then, inside the commode room, you’ll find the commode itself, as well as a bathtub and shower combination. Commode and Bathtub/Shower combination Just want a room that gives you somewhere to shower and rest your head at night, close to the magic? You’ll want to take a look at the Tower Rooms, which we found have rates starting around $138 a night. We checked out the rooms with two Queen beds on our tour, and you’ll often also find a pretty amazing view. Tower Room When you enter the room, the bathroom will likely be right off to one side (in our case, it was to our left). In here, there isn’t a bathtub, but a glass shower, along with a sink and commode all in one room. However, there are plenty of towels and additional space on the countertop, as well as under the counter. The Bathroom Across from the bathroom, you’ll find a full-length mirror — gotta make sure those outfits are looking great! Mirror Across from the beds, you’ll find the TV, TV dresser, desk, and desk chair. TV and Desk Area This room also has a standing closet for whatever you need it for, instead of one that’s built into the wall. Closet That takes us over to the balcony, which, as expected, gives us a great view! Balcony View The other side of the room is taken up by the beds, as well as their matching bedside tables… Beds …along with another small couch for lounging around. Small couch It’s important to note a couple of fees that may come with your stay at this hotel. Even with these fees, it’s much cheaper than a stay at many Disney-owned resorts, especially with how much room you get. Self Parking: $30 Valet: $45 Resort Fee: $69 Breakfast Buffet: $25 This hotel has great options for all those looking to stay on property, right near the magic, but don’t want to spend an arm and a leg, OR if they’re looking for a hotel that doesn’t scream Disney with every step, but still gets you the perks of being on property. We’ll continue to bring you all the latest and greatest Disney World news and beyond, so stay tuned to DFB! RESORT REVIEW: I’ve Stayed at This Disney World Hotel MANY Times. We’re constantly checking out the new area for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets at Hollywood Studios. This brand-new ride will star Kermit, Miss Piggy, and The Electric Mayhem Band as they race to their concert! Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is looking different! G-Force Records, now run by stage manager Scooter, has been getting a massive facelift lately. We were so surprised to find out today that the entrance to G-Force Records has just gotten a new coat of paint! G-Force Records looks totally different now! The entryway arch is now dark gray with new G-Force Records logo signs along the sides. It’s such a massive change from the beige that matched the rest of Sunset Boulevard. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets The iconic upside-down car is still the same as we saw it earlier this week, so we’re pretty sure it’s officially finished. It’s painted with rainbow squiggles in the style of The Electric Mayhem Band’s van and Fozzie’s Studebaker! While the gray is a big change, we think it makes the car pop much more than the beige. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets When we went inside the courtyard earlier this week, there was also a fresh coat of paint. The previously beige-orange walls of the ride building have been painted a dark gray, almost black color. The columns were slowly being repainted from orange to a light gray, and when we stopped by today, the last orange column had been repainted too! The new paint! In addition, we got a little sneak peek of the massive guitar out front! It’s covered by scaffolding, but it’s just sheer enough that we could see the body of the guitar has pink and red stripes, while the neck looks to be a light blue color. The new guitar! Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets starts with your VIP pass to see Electric Mayhem in the studios at G-Force Records with Kermit and Miss Piggy. There’s just one big problem: the band has been rocking out so hard that they lost track of time and are running late for their big show! So it’s up to you to help them get there. ©Disney The songs that will play during Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets are: “Song 2” — The Electric Mayhem (made famous by Blur) “Born To Be Wild” — The Electric Mayhem featuring Camilla the Chicken (made famous by Steppenwolf) “Love Rollercoaster” – The Electric Mayhem ft. Jennifer Hudson & Questlove “Rock! Rock! (Till You Drop)” – The Electric Mayhem ft. Def Leppard “Walking on Sunshine” – The Electric Mayhem ft. Kelly Clarkson If the rethemed ride is like the Aerosmith version, then you’ll get one of the five songs depending on your ride vehicle. You could read the license plate of your car to see what song you would get! We’ll be sure to try this out and get all six songs when the ride opens on May 26th, 2026. ©Disney We can’t wait to ride Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets when it opens next month. If you’re planning a Disney World vacation, you might be wondering how to have the perfect day at EPCOT — and we’re here to help! EPCOT A good tool that guests use to set up the perfect day at EPCOT is purchasing Disney’s skip-the-line system, Lightning Lane. It can save you time and help you get to more attractions! Today, we’re going to focus on tips for securing your perfect Lightning Lanes to guarantee a perfect day in EPCOT! Let’s go! Lightning Lanes 101 First, let’s quickly break down Lightning Lanes at Disney World. There are three variations of the Lightning Lane system: Lightning Lane Multi Pass, Lightning Lane Single Pass, and Lightning Lane Premier Pass. Premier Pass is essentially the highest tier — it allows you to use the Lightning Lane queue at every available ride in the park, and you pay for one time without needing a reservation. Lightning Lane Multi Pass is composed of several rides within each park. When you purchase Multi Pass, you can choose each of the designated Multi Pass rides for select times that are available. Also, when you purchase Multi Pass, you purchase it for the park you plan to start in, but then you can park hop after you’ve used your first selections. Lightning Lane Single Passes are for select rides only within each park, and you purchase these individually. Lightning Lane Now, let’s go over a few more crucial basics of Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass. First, you can plan your Lightning Lanes in advance. You can choose up to three Multi Pass experiences and arrival windows in advance, along with up to two Single Pass experiences. Guests staying at a Disney World hotel and select other hotels can book their first three Multi Passes and two Single Passes per day, 7 days in advance of their first day through the length of their stay up to 14 days. All other guests can book their Lightning Lanes 3 days in advance for the total number of valid admission days on their ticket. The booking window opens at 7 AM ET. Frozen Ever After Lightning Lane and Standby Line sign in EPCOT Once you’re in the park and have used your first Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you can then begin booking another. But the first three you get can be crucial for your entire day. You’ll likely want to try to reserve your top priority rides in advance to make sure you get them, because rides can run out of Lightning Lanes throughout the day (more on that later!). The line for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure Multi Pass Tiers at EPCOT When you’re choosing your Lighting Lanes for EPCOT in advance, keep in mind that initially, you can only choose one of the following from Tier 1: Frozen Ever After Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure Test Track Test Track And two more — or all three — from Tier 2: Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival Journey into Imagination with Figment Living with the Land Mission: SPACE The Seas with Nemo & Friends Soarin’ Around the World Spaceship Earth Turtle Talk with Crush Spaceship Earth Have a List of Must-Dos We recommend planning ahead of time. Don’t wait until 7 AM ET on the morning of your day to book Lightning Lanes to try to decide which experiences and times you want. Make a list based on priority of which rides are most important to you to ride, and another list with other reservation times you have for each day (such as table-service meals). You’ll want to think through what your priorities are so you know which attractions to book first. You’ll also want to know what days of your vacation you are going to which park. Lightning Lane at Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in EPCOT Have an Idea for a Layout of Your Day Having a plan for which rides are priorities for you to get Lightning Lanes for is easier if you have a good game plan prepped for when you’re actually inside the park. For example, once you use your first Lightning Lane, it’s good to know what attraction you want to book next so you aren’t wasting time figuring it out. I’ve Tried Every Lightning Lane Hack in Disney World, and I’m Sharing the 2 That Work Every Time World Showcase Be Smart about Lightning Lane Selections Once you get to EPCOT and have used your first Lightning Lane, you can choose another Multi Pass experience. But your options of experiences and return times may be more limited once you’re officially at the park. That’s why we suggest picking rides in advance that are more likely to “sell out.” Disney World EPCOT Lightning Lane Strategy for 2026 Frozen Ever After Here’s a hypothetical example: Let’s say we’ve been watching the EPCOT Lightning Lanes over the past week, leading up to when we can purchase ours, and keeping track of which rides are disappearing daily first. We’ll say Test Track has been the first to go, but Frozen Ever After continues to have times available throughout the day. When it’s our turn to purchase our advance Lightning Lanes, we’re going to pick Test Track and skip Frozen Ever After, since we’re pretty sure we’ll be able to grab that one while we’re there, but not necessarily Test Track. If you’re going to do this, you’ll most likely want to do your research ahead of time and watch the My Disney Experience app to see which Lightning Lanes are disappearing daily. Test Track Be Ready to Pivot Yes, it’s exciting when you get the exact Lightning Lanes you were gearing for, but no matter what, you’re going to have a GREAT day at EPCOT. If you’re in Disney World, it’s already a great day! Things can and probably will happen — even at Disney World. If you don’t get a Lightning Lane that you wanted, don’t stress. Keep checking your My Disney Experience app because you never know what will open up. A storm could roll in, and your favorite ride might go down. Be flexible and ready to pivot to keep the vibes up! Disney World does its best to make safety a priority at its theme parks. However, even with all those safety precautions in place, injuries can still happen. Kali River Rapids in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Now, you don’t often hear about most of these injuries that happen at Disney World’s theme parks because many are minor. Still, a report is released every quarter outlining any injuries that have been reported in Florida theme parks. Although we’re still only one quarter into 2026, Disney World only had two injuries on that report for the year so far. Let’s take a look at those. Florida theme parks are expected to report incidents in which visitors are injured on rides and hospitalized for at least 24 hours. The report for the first quarter of 2026 reveals that just two Disney World rides had injuries reported during those three months (January 1st-March 31st, 2026). Magic Kingdom’s Cinderella Castle The first report is from February, when a guest fell while getting off the Prince Charming Regal Carrousel in Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland. The 65-year-old guest injured her pelvis during that incident. Prince Charming Regal Carrousel The second report is also from February, when a 40-year-old woman with a pre-existing condition injured her shoulder on Kali River Rapids in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Kali River Rapids By comparison, other theme parks with injuries in 2026 include SeaWorld, which reported two injuries. Busch Gardens and LEGOLAND reported no injuries, while Universal Orlando reported eight. Universal Orlando Serious injuries are generally rare, but you’ll want to take steps for your own safety when you’re visiting the parks. Be sure to read all warning signs, check in with your body, pay attention to Cast Member instructions, and be cautious when you’re on a ride. There’s no way to prevent all injuries, but if you’re mindful, you can prevent many. Remember that ride rules are in place to keep you safe. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Also, if you do experience an injury on a ride, let a Cast Member know immediately, especially if you may need to seek medical care. If the injury is minor, you can find a First Aid station in each park where you’ll find trained nurses who can help. We’ll keep you updated on more theme park news, so stay tuned to DFB for more. A new Disneyland souvenir is channeling the storied past of the “Happiest Place on Earth.” This is too cool The latest straw clip on sale at the resort recreates a miniature Skyway bucket, down to the smallest — and cutest — detail! We’ve got all the details you need to know, including where you can find this new item. … right down to an OPENING DOOR! The DOOR OPENS! The $8.50 souvenir also features tiny metallic details, a seat, and even the number 70 emblazoned on it. Note the number! The clip can be found at the following locations: Refreshment Corner Galactic Grill Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor Red Rose Taverne Jolly Holiday Bakery Troubadour Taverne Alien Pizza Planet Little Red Wagon The Skyway was a Disneyland staple from 1956 through 1994. The arial tramway — the first Von Roll Type 101 aerial ropeway from Swiss company Von Roll, Ltd. in the United States — traveled between Tomorrowland and Fantasyland. From 1959 onward, the Skyway literally passed THROUGH the Matterhorn. ©Yesterland The ride closed due to metal fatigue issues on November 9, 1994. Stress cracks had developed inside the Matterhorn tower battery supports, and fixing them would have required a long and costly refurbishment that would have closed the Matterhorn attraction, which Disney deemed to be operational and financially untenable. ©Disney While the Skyway has been closed for over 30 years, fans can celebrate the iconic attraction with a NEW straw clip at Disneyland RIGHT NOW! When it comes to staying at a Walt Disney World hotel, timing can be everything. Skyliner at night If you’re lodging at visiting Disney World in 2026, there are some somewhat strict curfews you need to be aware of, especially if you’re planning to grab a bite or take a swim after a long day at the theme parks. The Buses Do Stop While it may feel like Disney World’s complimentary bus service is constantly running, hotel bus service actually ends one hour after the scheduled closure from all of Disney’s theme parks as well as Disney Springs. Inside a Disney Bus The Skyliner Has a HARD Stop Since its introduction in 2019, the Disney World Skyliner – the gondola system which connects Hollywood Studios and EPCOT with the Riviera, Caribbean Beach, Pop Century, and Art of Animation resorts – has become one of the resort’s most popular methods of transportation. However, if you plan on using it on your next trip, there’s something you must keep in mind. The Skyliner tends to stop running 90 minutes after Hollywood Studios or EPCOT (whichever is later) ends its operating day. However, this is a slight amendment to be made… Skyliner Closed What About Extended Evening Hours? When EPCOT offers Extended Evening Hours, the Skyliner will close one hour after the extended hours end. During this time, it will only offer transportation to Disney’s Riviera Resort, as Extended Evening Hours are exclusive to Deluxe Tier Hotel guests. Spaceship Earth crowds during EPCOT’s Extended Evening park hours Better Plan for that Late Night Dip… Disney World hotel pools are generally open until 10:00 or 11:00 (with the latter in the warmer months of the year), so you may need to leave the park early to squeeze in a late dip depending on your hotel’s location. However, pools aren’t the only hotel amenity that has a curfew. Stormalong Bay at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts during the daylight hours … and the Late Night Snack In addition to pools, quick-service dining locations, and food courts at Disney hotels generally close at 11:00 PM (including Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto at the Polynesian), while table service dining seating generally ends at 10:00 PM. Kalua Pork Tacos at Trader Sam’s So, once again, depending on your hotel’s location and which park you’re coming from, you may not be able to stay until close and make it back to your resort in time for a snack. For example, if you’re staying at say The Boardwalk, you can easily walk out of EPCOT after Luminous and stroll to the hotel with time to spare for a snack, a swim, or both. Disney’s BoardWalk at night However, if you’re traveling from the Magic Kingdom to, say, Pop Century after closing time, odds are slim to none that you’ll make it back in time to find an open Everything Pop! or Hippy Dippy Pool. You may have to head back early to make sure you score some late-night nachos. If you’re planning a Walt Disney World hotel stay this summer, keep these curfews in mind as you’re laying out your ideal Disney days. Stay tuned to DFB for more hotel tips. Epic Universe could be implementing a huge change in the near future, and we need to talk about it! Epic Universe! Universal Studios Orlando uses Photo Validation for entry at their parks at the resort. Now, Universal dropped news that Photo Validation will be expanding and will be used at Epic Universe portals. Let’s dive into what we already know! Photo Validation at Universal is a system that scans your face upon park entry or at the lockers, and it’s used to confirm that you are the ticket holder. It eliminates the need for carrying a physical ticket, losing a ticket, having to log in digitally, all that good stuff. Celestial Park! Now, when we say that Photo Validation is coming to Epic Universe, we aren’t just talking about the main entrance to the park (although that will be one spot). Instead, Universal stated that this new system will be used at each of the four portals. Super Nintendo World portal Ok, we’re all wondering the same thing. Why do we need Photo Validation to enter portals when you don’t need a ticket to enter the portals? That’s a very valid point! The best way to figure this out is to just check what Universal said exactly. Isle of Berk On the Universal website, it says, “To keep your passage easy, you can use Photo Validation for Effortless Entry whenever Virtual Line return times are being used.” The only thing is that up until this point, no “Virtual Line” has been used, so we aren’t entirely sure what this means. “It’s Alive! It’s Alive!” This could indicate that Universal is possibly expecting a spike in attendance that could require Virtual Lines to keep the portals and lands at a good crowd level. If you haven’t been to Epic Universe before, the lands are a little smaller than you’d expect in terms of how much of a crowd they can hold. Portal Into Ministry of Magic The summer is right around the corner, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see Epic Universe crowds go up, especially since the park will officially be one year old. The Virtual Line that they’ve stated could be to make sure those summer crowds are calm. There’s also the chance that maybe crowds could pick up with the addition of Epic Universe Annual Passes, but we really don’t know. Super Nintendo World Epic Universe We’re going to be following all of this news very closely! It’ll be interesting to see how this goes when the new systems are added, and what it means for future Epic Universe visits. Make sure to follow us at the Disney Food Blog so you don’t miss any theme park news and updates, especially with summer coming up. Some Disney ride closures just hit harder than others. The ride A few months ago, Disney fans were mourning the loss of DINOSAUR in Animal Kingdom, and that created a massive hullabaloo. But you know what deserves even more of a sendoff? Aquatopia is closing at Tokyo DisneySea, and we are distraught! Aquatopia is a die-hard favorite of our fearless leader at Disney Food Blog, AJ. For her, it’s a must-do ride every visit, and when she found out that it would be closing permanently on September 14th, 2026, she said, and I quote, “this is basically the worst news ever.” Aquatopia She told our team that this was “literally the best ride in the world” and that Disney announcing its closure was “basically on a par with them announcing a PeopleMover closure.” (No one freak out, it was JUST a metaphor! PeopleMover is completely fine, guys.) You know what? She might have a point. This is a truly original Disney ride that takes you on whirling, spinning, unpredictable movements through the water. It’s fun, it’s whimsical, and it was only the second Disney attraction ever to use a trackless ride system. Bye, Aquatopia! The regular version of the ride will be open for the last time from April 22nd-June 30th. After that, it will become the Aquatopia “Get Soaked” Version for the remainder of its tenure, in conjunction with Summer Cool-off at Tokyo Disney Resort. Is it too late to plan a last-minute trip to do it again? Honestly, we wouldn’t judge you if you did. Aquatopia entrance Bye, bye Aquatopia. We’ll miss you dearly, and the laughter you gave us will live on in our memories. To commemorate this loss, we hope you enjoy this photo from the time AJ did a full-scale chicken nugget photo shoot onboard the ride. The life of a Disney food blogger. RIP Aquatopia. Well, for the second time in less than a year, an attraction in Disney’s Hollywood Studios is closing…again. Vacation Fun Now, closures for ride and attraction refurbishments happen all the time, and they’re generally short when it’s just for basic ride maintenance, which is necessary to keep rides and attractions running on a regular basis. Now, Vacation Fun — An Original Animated Short with Mickey & Minnie just reopened in December 2025 after a two-month closure, but now, it’s set to close again for another refurbishment. That’s right, Vacation Fun is set to temporarily close AGAIN on April 29th, according to the Disney World website. No reopening date has been announced, but the website says the ride will reopen later this year. ©Disney In 2025, the ride closed on October 25th and later reopened on December 27th. It’s been less than four months since it reopened, so it’s a little odd that the ride will be closing again. During its last closure, we only noticed one change when it reopened. The Potatoland photo op area was back. Potatoland Now, it’s unclear why the show is closing again for another refurbishment, but we’re curious as to what this closure might mean. There are already quite a few other closures in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, so this could mean other attractions might end up with longer lines now that there’s less to do in the park. Disney’s Hollywood Studios Right now, Muppets Courtyard is closed to make way for a new Monsters, Inc. land, while Animation Courtyard is closed to make way for The Walt Disney Studios. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is also closed as it gets converted into Rock n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets, which is set to open on May 26th. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets We’ll be keeping an eye out for more closures in Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for more. 13 Disney Rides That Will Be Closed in 2026 Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! Disney World is full of tempting souvenirs, which is why we 100% recommend having a budget before you go. Otherwise, you’ll spend a fortune and walk out going, “What have I done?” (We definitely don’t know that from personal experience…) EPCOT Starbucks Tumbler We’ve seen a lot of great souvenirs over the years, but we’ve gotta admit — this most recent release might take the cake for the recent souvenir that very well might sell out in a matter of days. Currently, they’re not online yet either, so if you see these in the parks and know you love their look, we suggest grabbing them ASAP! Recently, a whole new collection of Starbucks tumblers dropped in Disney World, but these aren’t just any tumblers — there’s one for each theme park! They’re not cheap, that’s for sure, as they’ll each cost you $54.99. We spotted the Hollywood Studios Starbucks Tumbler at Celebrity 5 & 10 on Hollywood Boulevard. On one side, it has the green Starbucks logo, while on the other, you’ll see Sorcerer Mickey front and center, surrounded by well-known icons around the park, like the Enchanted Rose from Beauty and the Beast, a limousine from Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, the Pizza Planet Green Aliens, Tower of Terror, and Maleficent in dragon form from Fantasmic!, among many others. It’s even got Gertie as a straw topper, which we love! Hollywood Studios Starbucks Tumbler You can also find the Animal Kingdom Starbucks Tumbler right now at Creature Comforts on Discovery Island. The entire cup is a light green, with, again, the Starbucks logo on one side, while the other has Mickey front and center holding a smiling toucan bird, surrounded by aspects of the park. Around him, you’ll find a version of the Tree of Life with a bright pink trunk, Expedition Everest, a Kilimanjaro Safaris truck, tons of flora and fauna, and the straw topper is none other than Kevin from the Pixar film Up. Animal Kingdom Starbucks Tumbler The EPCOT Starbucks Tumbler can be found at Creations Shop, and this one is bright blue and features Chef Mickey on the front. You’ll find Figment celebrating the Festival of the Arts, flowers and butterflies representing the Flower & Garden Festival, Remy representing the Food & Wine Festival, and numerous other icons around the park. You’ll recognize some from World Showcase, Te Fiti from Journey of Water, and more. They had a whole wall when we went, but, likely, it won’t last long! EPCOT Starbucks Tumbler There is also one of these tumblers available in Magic Kingdom, but it’s proven to be a bit more elusive. We’ll be keeping our eyes peeled, though, so be sure to stay tuned to the blog — we’ll let you know when we find it! Disney Cruise Line Released a NEW 50% off Deal. Is It Worth It? Packing for Disney World can be pretty difficult, especially when it comes to the things you don’t know if you’ll need or not. VentaPak in Disney World Sure, you need clothes, your toiletries, and maybe some Disney accessories you plan on wearing, but what about those items you can’t tell if they’re essentials or not? A mini fan, a hat, extra shoes you aren’t totally sure you’ll wear, and what about a poncho? Listen, we know it can be hard to decide, but believe us when we say that these four items? Well, we’re here to pass on these four products. Yeah, these are ones you won’t want to head to the parks without, as wild as it may be for us to admit it. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. For Those Rainy Days Silicone Waterproof Shoe Covers The truth is, when we saw these Silicone Waterproof Shoe Covers, we genuinely had no faith in them. We thought they’d fall apart, and we tried them out to warn you NOT to buy them. So, imagine our surprise when they actually WORKED super well! While we still suggest bringing a poncho, umbrella, or raincoat to the parks, there’s not much they can do to keep your feet from getting wet. These solve that problem easily, though we do recommend sizing up to alleviate any discomfort from the zipper, and if you want to be sure they’ll zip all the way up. Grab on Amazon! Never Struggle With Back Sweat Again VentaPak Lightweight Ventilation Backpack Spacer Is there anything worse than taking off your backpack and realizing you’re COVERED in sweat? Not in our book, which is why we’re such big fans of the VentaPak. This helps to create space between your back and your bag so you don’t end up with that big patch of sweat that ends up giving you the chills while you’re standing in the AC. It’s also a great way to make sure your posture stays solid, which is important for standing long hours in the parks. We had this on our backpack for months, took it off for ONE day, and majorly regretted it, so we haven’t made that mistake again. Grab on Amazon! A Powerful Fan For Even The Hottest Days AMKEN Waist Fan There are lots of fans out there on the market (we own a lot of them), but if you need something that’s really going to do the job and keep you cool, the AMKEN Waist Fan is the way to go, hands down. It’s a little bit heavier than others, but we do love that it can stand on its own, be on a lanyard around your neck, or be clipped onto the waistband of your pants. It does a great job keeping you cool, especially if you have it clipped on and you’re someone who carries a lot of heat in their back or trunk. It’s a little bit louder than other fans, but for how powerful it is, we think it’s worth it! Grab on Amazon! A Hat AND A Fan in One! Outdoor Wide Brim Hat Fan While we aren’t a big fan of the style of the Wide Brimmed Sun Hat with Solar Fans, since it did feel a little bulky to us, we do love that it both keeps you cool AND protected from the sun at the same time. The fans themselves can either be charged normally or charged with solar power, which can really come in handy on hot summer days. You also can adjust if both fans are blowing, only one, and you can also remove them easily if you choose to. The versatility was a big plus for us! We did notice too though that it’s best when the air around you is already cooler, such as when you’re in the AC, because otherwise, it just blows hot air around your face. Grab on Amazon! We’re here to bring you all the news and recommendations to help you plan your upcoming Disney World trip, so stay tuned to DFB! View the full article

There’s nothing quite like leading a restaurant at Walt Disney World Resort, where bustling kitchens deliver world-class experiences. And Amber would know. More than 15 years after beginning her culinary journey on the Disney College Program, she is now is proudly guiding the reopening of The Garden View Lounge – Tea Experience at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Amber has been part of the reimagining of this cherished space since 2023, when the concept was still taking shape on paper. Her earliest focus was determining how this guest-favorite offering could return in a fresh, elevated way that still honored the classic experience. “Guests asked me every single day when the tea room was reopening,” Amber said. “It’s been a lot of pressure, but the kind that reminds you how much this place means to people. Feeling their excitement has kept us going.” Brewing Her Tea Expertise Already a beverage expert thanks to earning her sommelier and cicerone certifications with Disney’s support, Amber added a new title to that list: tea master in the making. Alongside the beverage team, Amber partnered directly with Twinings Master Blenders to select eight unique blends for the experience. “My desk looked like a science experiment,” she laughed. “Twinings taught us everything; from water temperature and steeping time to the pot, the glassware, and how to taste using all of your senses. Each session lasted several hours, but we wanted to make absolutely sure we were offering the very best service to our guests.” And that’s certainly clear from a look at the menu. In addition to classic teas, guests of all ages can take a sip of non-caffeinated herbal teas and delightfully light refreshers. One blend you won’t find anywhere else in the United States: the Disney-exclusive Orangery of Lady Grey, a bright twist on classic Earl Grey infused with citrus notes alongside the traditional bergamot flavor. A Tea Experience in Wonderland Where better to enjoy a whimsical twist on a British tea service than inside the storybook charm of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa? This reimagined experience invites you to step into the fanciful world of Disney’s Alice in Wonderland through every detail, from the stunning stained-glass windows to the towering tiers of sweet and savory bites. “The food is incredible,” Amber shared. “Chefs Michelle and Ally created an elegant, colorful tower that tastes even better than it looks. Guests who remember the previous service will be surprised. This is an entirely new experience with imaginative touches inspired by the classic tale.” Swipe through the photos above to see a few favorites from the menu. Amber’s personal pick? The Caterpillar Cucumber Roll — pumpernickel topped with butterfly pea-infused cream cheese and fresh cucumbers for a vibrant, garden-inspired bite. We’ve got some great news for Disney Cruise Line sailors, especially those who find making it to San Diego easier than Orlando or other ports. San Diego Embarkation Port ©Disney Cruise Line Currently, the Disney Wonder and the Disney Magic are set to sail from San Diego, and now, thanks to this extended partnership, we could see the amount of sailings from San Diego DOUBLE within the next five years. Today, Disney Cruise Line and the Port of San Diego announced a new agreement through at least 2031! This means that the number of Disney cruises out of the port will double in the years to come. When talking about the partnership, Jose Fernandez, Vice President of Port Strategy, Development & Operations, Disney Cruise Line, said, “San Diego has been an important part of our West Coast operations for more than a decade, and a place our guests love sailing from. This new agreement supports our long-term growth and helps us continue contributing to the region’s economy.” Disney Wonder Chair Ann Moore, Port of San Diego Board of Port Commissioners, expressed her gratitude towards Disney Cruise Line and their partnership, saying, “This agreement not only enhances business operations between the Port, Disney and all our cruise line partners – it also supports a thriving cruise industry that injects millions into the region’s economy and welcomes thousands of visitors to our waterfront each year.” Disney Wonder Through this agreement, Disney has secured non-exclusive priority access to the Port’s North and South berths at the B Street cruise terminal, which will make arriving at the port easier for guests and assist the port in better planning for maximizing the terminal. Throughout the duration of this agreement, the port expects to see 1 million passengers just for Disney cruises alone. This represents the first time in more than 20 years that a cruise line has offered a minimum annual guarantee at the Port of San Diego. Disney Magic Cruise Ship Disney Cruise Line began sailing from this port in 2012 and remains a proud partner of the San Diego community, often working on collaborations with local nonprofits that focus on youth empowerment and environmental conservation. The Disney Magic and Disney Wonder will begin sailing from the port later this year. The Disney Magic arrives this October and will offer 3-7-night voyages through November, followed by a 14-night Panama Canal transit to Galveston. The Disney Wonder, on the other hand, will homeport in San Diego from October 2026 through April 2027, sailing 3-7-night itineraries to destinations including Catalina Island, Cabo San Lucas, Ensenada, and Puerto Vallarta. According to USA Today, Delta Air Lines is cutting some flights this summer to adjust to the high cost of fuel. ©Getty Images Delta says its decision was based on a number of operational factors and did not specify fuel, but many airlines have been working to boost revenue and trim expenses amid surging fuel prices. In a statement with USA Today, the airline said, “Delta routinely adjusts its network as part of its normal planning process. As part of our summer planning, we’ve made select adjustments across a small number of routes. Delta evaluates a range of factors when making these decisions and continues to offer extensive service for customers. We will directly contact any impacted customers with alternate options.” ©Getty Images The routes being affected include: Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and Lynden Pindling International Airport in Nassau, Bahamas (NAS): Saturday-only service will operate through July 11. This route will not operate from July 18 through Sept. 5. Service is scheduled to resume in December. Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) and Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP): Weekend service shifting to Summer 2027. Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) and Sacramento International Airport (SMF): This route will be paused beginning June 1 and will return in March 2027. John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York (JFK) and George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston (IAH): This route will be paused beginning June 7 and will resume Sept. 8. John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York (JFK) and Memphis International Airport (MEM): This route will be paused beginning June 7 and will resume Sept. 8. John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York (JFK) and St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL): This route will be paused beginning June 7 and will resume Sept. 8. Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) and Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas (LAS): This route will be paused beginning June 2 and will resume Sept. 8. ©Delta In March, United Airlines CEO said that they would pursue a strategy of “tactically pruning flying that’s temporarily unprofitable in the face of high oil prices” and focusing on less-popular flying times like overnight, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. The cuts are expected to extend through at least the second and third quarters of 2026. As a former Disney World Cast Member, I’ve learned that while Lightning Lanes can save you time, it’s not always worth the cost. Lightning Lane sign for Tower of Terror in Disney’s Hollywood Studios If you are planning a trip to Disney World, you might think that skipping the lines by purchasing Lightning Lane is an automatic yes. But as someone who used to work in the parks, I can tell you that is not always true. Before you hit that purchase button before your next vacation, here are five reasons Lightning Lane might not be worth it for you. 1. If You Have Little Ones You might assume you need Lightning Lane if you have little kids in your party because it can decrease your wait time in the queues; however, there are a few scenarios where it’s not worth it. At EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, if your little one is under 34″, there is very little for them to ride — that’s not saying there aren’t things for them to do! Many of the attractions under Lightning Lane Multi Pass at these parks have a height restriction, and you might find yourself feeling like you aren’t getting your money’s worth if you are focused on doing rides as a family. Why You’ll Never Catch Me Skipping Lightning Lanes as a Disney Mom Slinky Dog Dash 2. If You’re Prioritizing Dining If you are someone who wants to eat at multiple sit-down restaurants throughout your day, you’re going to want to think twice about purchasing Lightning Lane. These restaurants can easily take 60-90 minutes out of your day, and that will take away time from riding attractions. If you are more focused on enjoying meals, you might feel rushed with Lightning Lane. We would focus on your dining reservations and hit your must-do attractions at rope drop or in the evenings. The Hollywood Brown Derby 3. If You Plan to Park Hop You might think having Lightning Lane can help you if you’re park hopping because once you use your first Lightning Lane, you can select an attraction at a different park. However, it’s good to know that switching parks can actually eat up a lot of time, especially if you are using Disney transportation. If you’re trying to hit only a few rides at each park, using Lightning Lane can be a good strategy. However, if you want to “do everything” in a park and then hop, we wouldn’t recommend Lightning Lane. Disney Bus 4. If You’re at Disney’s Animal Kingdom In 2026, Animal Kingdom is under some major construction, leaving just a handful of attractions open on Lightning Lane. We believe that right now, you can skip the Lightning Lane Multi Pass here, and if you want, purchase a Lightning Lane Single Pass for Flight of Passage, as this will be the highest wait time in the park. You can easily knock out the other big attractions like Expedition Everest and Kilimanjaro Safaris in the morning with low waits. Everything We Know About Animal Kingdom’s New Land Disney’s Animal Kingdom 5. If You Want Flexibility and Freedom One of the biggest gripes is that Lightning Lanes lock you into a schedule. It can feel restricting to have to be somewhere at a certain time. What if something comes up and you want to soak in the parade magic, or you want a snack? With Lightning Lane, you are confined to a schedule. Annual Passholders, or locals, are likely to want to have the flexibility in their day, since they can visit often. Having to be at a specific place at a specific time can turn your chill day into a stress-fueled march across the park. Hollywood Studios So before you buy Lightning Lane, think about how you want your day to feel and what might be best for your travel party. Either way, we’re here to help you make the most of your trip — with or without Lightning Lanes. Stay tuned to DFB for more Disney tips and news.
