Port Canaveral is preparing to undergo a massive $95 million upgrade, according to the Orlando Business Journal. The transformation is aimed at supporting the world’s largest cruise ships and drawing more travelers. If all goes as planned, the Cruise Terminal 10 project will accommodate ships carrying up to 6,700 passengers by November 27th. ©Port Canaveral The Canaveral Port Authority board met on June 3rd and shared that the existing Terminal 10 will be upgraded to allow for these changes. Port Canaveral saw more than 5.5 million multi-day cruise passengers in its first seven fiscal months of this year. William Crowe, vice president of engineering and construction with Port Canaveral, said that the final design for the project will be due in August, with construction beginning right after that. “We are right-sizing the terminal,” he said. “We are evaluating the vertical transportation requirements, ramps, elevators [and] escalators. We are looking at square footage requirements and the luggage lay-down area.” ©Port Canaveral During the recent board meeting, $23 million was unanimously allocated to PCL Construction Services Inc. for its portion of work on the $95 million total project. PCL will “address critical infrastructure needs, including replacing deteriorated waterside and landside trench drains that have caused sinkholes in active traffic areas”, according to meeting documents. Disney Wish at Terminal 10 in Port Canaveral These upgrades are designed to prepare Port Canaveral for larger cruise ships, which means more passengers moving through terminals, clearing security, checking luggage, and waiting to board. Crowe shared that the terminal upgrades will be completed in time to accommodate the new MSC World Atlantic ship, which will debut in 2027. The World Atlantic ship ranks among the largest in MSC’s fleet, with over 40 bars and restaurants and around 410,000 square feet of public space — along with holding 6,700 passengers. Port Canaveral Director of communications and public affairs for the Canaveral Port Authority, Vance Gulliksen, told Orlando Business Journal that the project also includes expanding the security screening area and refreshing the overall terminal design. “The new facility will feature spacious, modern interiors with a streamlined look and feel, colorful artwork and other design elements to create a welcoming and inviting environment,” he said. Port Canaveral The project is part of Port Canaveral’s $912 million five-year capital improvement plan, which aims to upgrade all the facilities in the port. There’s also the plan to build a new 3,700-space parking garage at Cruise Terminal 6, which is slated to be completed by September. As of now, the Disney Cruise Line only sails one ship out of Terminal 10 — the Disney Wish — while it is primarily used by MSC Cruises. Cruise Terminal 8 is Disney Cruise Line’s own terminal and is home to the other ships that sail out of Port Canaveral. Whether or not these upgrades will impact future sailings remains to be seen. We’ve got MASSIVE news that just came out of EPCOT, and it’s got us VERY excited for what’s coming in July! ©Disney Refreshment Port near the Canada Pavilion has been closed for months now, but it was announced that it would be turning into La Poutinerie, sponsored by Air Canada, later this year. There was no opening date for the new spot, only the information that it was on its way, but now that’s changed — this new spot will officially be opening in July! La Poutinerie will officially be opening in EPCOT on July 1st — yes, that’s Canada Day! We’re just weeks away from a new “time-traveling” themed entertainment experience opening in the United Kingdom! ©Kynren Kynren: The Storied Lands – an expansion of the original Kynren attraction, which opened in 2016 – is opening next month on July 18th! Rather than focusing on traditional rides, this new theme park-like experience will emphasize live-action shows, immersive environments, large-scale sets, animals, and cutting-edge effects. These new lands will include: The Trusty Stead, a horse stunt show adapted from Fina and the Golden Cape, which will feature medieval knights clashing on horseback, a fearless female warrior showing off her courage in a breathtaking display of horsemanship and daring stunts, enormous sets, stunning special effects, and the real Auckland Palace as the backdrop. This “powerful equestrian spectacle” will blend emotional storytelling with world-class horsemanship, daring stunts, and cinematic scale to create a “medieval world shaped by power, injustice, and courage.” The show’s protagonist is “a young woman whose life is torn apart — and the extraordinary bond she forges with a wild horse that will change her destiny forever.” The Legend of the Wear, a water-based stunt show based on the local legend of the Lambton Worm, featuring water effects, fight scenes, and stunts on a large lake, apparently including a monstrous, cursed creature that emerges from the water. The Lost Feather, a bird show featuring 300 birds, is staged in a purpose-built 3,600-seat arena with a massive stage inspired by a bird’s nest. The show is described as a visually stunning free-flying bird show centered around the relationship between birds and humanity. A Viking-themed area where warriors clash, and fires rage as part of a multi-sensory demonstration of the legendary warriors. A Victorian Imaginarium, where guests will enter a “Victorian library where imagination has escaped from the pages.” As they wander through an outdoor storytelling maze, guests will “encounter curious characters, inventive minds and theatrical surprises inspired by the wonder and creativity of the Victorian age.” This area will eventually tie to a larger Victorian Village planned for a future phase of development (currently targeted for 2027, subject to planning approval). ©Kynren The Storied Lands is an expansion of the original Kynren, which is located in Bishop Auckland, County Durham. The park uses 90-minute performances to depict major moments in British history, ranging from the Roman conquest of Britain, King Arthur’s search for the Holy Grail, and Winston Churchill’s “Finest Hour” speech during WW2. The new Storied Lands expansion is planned to contain several distinct themed areas, and shows that will attempt to transport guests into history. ©Attractions Magazine The park has also announced some future expansions as well, including The Lone Centurion (a dramatic Roman-era spectacle exploring the power, conflict, and legacy of Roman Britain), Tales of the Tudors (a vibrant theatrical experience set during one of England’s most fascinating historical periods, filled with intrigue, pageantry, and drama), Conquest of the Seas (an epic maritime adventure celebrating Britain’s seafaring heritage through large-scale action and storytelling), as well as other legendary stories such as Excalibur and Robin Hood. According to the park, this “long-term creative vision ensures the park continues to grow and offer new reasons for visitors to return.” ©Kynren Kynren – The Storied Lands is scheduled to open on July 18th, and tickets are on sale and are sold as either Day Park + Night Show combined visit tickets or just Day Park tickets. Either way, those who purchase are assigned a specific time to arrive (for Day Park tickets, guests can decide between four arrival times) and are given a schedule on when to experience each attraction. Time is built in to account for meals and shopping, as well as to allow kiddos time to play, but if you’re someone who prefers to take a park at your own pace, this may not be the greatest fit. ©Kynren The major expansion to the U.K.’s Kynren is scheduled to open next month! runDisney is a wildly popular offering in Disney World, as well as Disneyland, which means that registration days, like today, can get pretty intense! Minnie and Daisy at the end of the 2022 runDisney Disney Princess Half Marathon While there are thousands of people who take part in each race, there is still a capacity challenge for many people. It’s recommended that if you want to register for a race, you’re on the website before the registration time, and are ready to work fast when you’re let in. Some races fill up faster than others, and nearly every time, there are numerous guests who aren’t able to register for the races they want before all the spots are gone. If you’ve been hoping to snag a spot in the runDisney Princess Half Marathon Weekend, it’s time to lock in for registration! Registration for the 2027 runDisney Princess Half Marathon Weekend opens TODAY, June 8th, at 10 AM ET, and there’s already a waiting room active on the runDisney website. The race event will take place from February 25th through March 1st, 2027, and there are three different races to partake in, as well as a yoga session. ©Disney runDisney races are also on the more expensive side for some individuals, which can also affect registration for certain races. It’s only June, but that doesn’t mean it’s too early to plan for Halloween! In just 2 short months, the Fall and Halloween season will start taking over Walt Disney World. Halloween Fireworks Dessert Party for Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party kicks off on August 7th, and it will run on select nights from October 31st, 2026. If you’re looking for a little extra magic, reservations for the Halloween Fireworks Dessert Party are now open! If you’re heading to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and you want to make the event even sweeter, might we recommend the Halloween Fireworks Dessert Party? This add-on event is a paid experience in addition to the after-hours event tickets. Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Dessert Party is located in Tomorrowland Terrace, and it gives you access to a special firework viewing location plus tons of sweets and sips. The view of Cinderella Castle from Tomorrowland Terrace There’s a buffet at the event that traditionally includes Halloween-themed sweets such as chocolate-dipped strawberries, mini cannoli, seasonal fruits, cheeses, and other “park-inspired creations,” and specialty beverages such as sparkling cider plus beer and wine for those 21 and older. Cheers to fireworks at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party During the fireworks show, some guests get a special fireworks viewing area in the Plaza Garden, and others stay at Tomorrowland Terrace! This depends on which of the two times you book for your dessert party. Tickets for the fireworks dessert party start at $99 for adults and $59 for kids for the Plaza Garden option. Tickets for the Tomorrowland Terrace option start at $124 per adult and $74 per child. (Remember, Disney counts kids 10 and older as adults). If you’re interested in this extra magic, reservations are now open, so you can grab your spot! These tend to sell out, so if you know you want to check it out, don’t hesitate. Full dessert spread! If you do go to one of the two dessert parties, check-in begins at Tomorrowland Terrace 1 hour prior to the fireworks for those viewing the show from Tomorrowland Terrace. Check-in for the Plaza Garden Viewing option begins 1 and a half hours prior to fireworks. Traditionally, fireworks kick off at 10:15 PM during the party. Cheese, crackers, and fruit from the party! Admission into Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is required in addition to your dessert party fees. If the fireworks are cancelled due to weather, the dessert party will still take place! You can make your reservations 60 days prior to your Mickey’s Not So Scary experience. We can’t wait for this party to kick off on August 7th. Mickey’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Fireworks We know, we know — spooky season might still be months away, but that doesn’t mean Disney isn’t already hard at work planning this year’s event. Dates and details were recently announced, and planning your trip is about to be even easier because we officially know when Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks show is taking place each night! Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will run on select nights from August 7th to October 31st, 2026! Tickets for this fun and frightful event are on sale now — and keep in mind that early and end dates typically sell out sooner, so you’ll want to make those plans EARLY! Magic Kingdom at night during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular is one of the most popular events of the whole evening, with fireworks, music, projections on the castle, and more, and now we officially know when it will be shown each night. This special fireworks spectacle is shown only during the party — not on regular nights — and will take place each night at 10 PM. Not So Spooky Spectacular Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a paid after-hours event featuring special parades, characters, trick-or-treating, and even fireworks. This event brings out characters in rare costumes and even some spooky ride overlays. Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party! Here’s a full look at all the party dates in 2026: August 7, 11, 14, 18, 21, 23, 25, 28, 30 September 1, 4, 8, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22, 24, 25, 27, 29 October 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 13, 15, 16, 18, 22, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31 Guests can enter the park at 4:00 PM without any additional park ticket, which is three hours before the party kicks off at 7:00 PM. They usually run from 7:00 to midnight, so you’ll have plenty of time to catch all the offerings. Entering the party NEW this year, Stitch is hosting a dance party at the Rockettower Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland with the help of his friends Lilo and Angel! Disney shared that, “After getting his paws on Lilo’s Costume Trunk, every accessory he tries on will spark a theme swap and keep the party playfully unpredictable all night long.” There are a TON of other character meet-and-greets, too. So, when keepers began noticing a slight cloudiness in the right eye of Kendi, a 27-year-old white rhino who has called the park home her entire life, they spotted it right away. The change was subtle, but to the veterinarians who perform Kendi’s routine wellness exams, it was worth paying close attention to. For a rhino of Kendi’s size, vision – along with her strong sense of smell and hearing – plays an important role in how she moves through her environment, finds food, and interacts with her world. Those quiet signals prompted her care team to take a closer look. Through careful observation and the trust built over years of daily care, veterinarians identified the issue early: cataracts, a condition that clouds the eye lens and can lead to blindness if left untreated. What came next would mark an extraordinary milestone in animal care. A Rare and Highly Complex Procedure Surgically removing a cataract in a white rhino is exceptionally rare and highly complex, requiring extensive planning, innovation, and collaboration. Dr. Betsy, a veterinarian with Disney’s Animals, Science and Environment, has been involved in every step of the preparation process. “I’ve planned for this one procedure more than any other in my life,” said Dr. Betsy. “It’s been one of the most rewarding moments of my career. The level of innovation pushed us to think differently – and ultimately raised the bar for what’s possible in veterinary care.” The first stage of preparing for this procedure was no small undertaking. For several years, the husbandry team worked around the clock to train Kendi for voluntary eye drops. Through patience and trust-based care, Kendi became comfortable with the routine of receiving this essential medication up to four times a day. That dedication and preparation proved invaluable when the time finally came to perform the surgery in the rhino barn. Dr. Betsy partnered with an ophthalmologist from the University of Florida (UF) — one of Disney’s long-standing collaborative veterinary partners — to design a procedure that adapted advanced veterinary surgical techniques to one of the world’s largest land mammals. “It was truly an honor to be part of Kendi’s care. While cataract surgery is routine in humans, performing this type of procedure on an animal — especially one as large as a white rhino — presents extraordinary challenges,” said Dr. Caryn Plummer, ophthalmologist with the University of Florida. “In Kendi’s case, the potential to restore her vision made every complexity worth navigating. This effort would not have been possible without the dedicated veterinary and animal care team at Disney, whose teamwork, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to Kendi’s safety were essential every step of the way. We’re hopeful that improved sight will make a meaningful difference in Kendi’s quality of life.” The surgery was a success, but the care didn’t stop there. A Uniquely Disney Approach to Healing Kendi’s recovery from the successful surgery called for continuous monitoring and creative solutions. In a true cross functional collaboration, Disney’s costuming team worked for two years to design and craft a custom, specially tailored protective eye mask. This one-of-a-kind piece of aftercare equipment helped protect her healing eye while also allowing the necessary post-operative eye drop treatments. “This was definitely outside the scope of what our team is usually asked to do,” said Tracy, a costuming manager. “But nothing about this project was ordinary. We worked closely with the Animal Care teams to design a fully custom solution – one that suited Kendi’s anatomy and supported her comfort and recovery every step of the way.” This collaborative spirit was a reminder for everyone that caring for animals at Disney is never one dimensional. Whether they are veterinarians, keepers, designers, or engineers, people from across the company bring their talents together when it matters most. Kendi’s recovery is about more than restoring sight to one animal — it’s about protecting a species. White rhinos are near threatened in the wild, and protecting the health and wellbeing of individuals like Kendi helps support the broader work of species conservation, including work supported by the Disney Conservation Fund that protects wildlife like rhinos and their habitats in Africa and Asia. Kendi’s journey is an inspiring opportunity to educate and connect. For the veterinary community, Dr. Betsy and Dr. Plummer plan to share the surgical technique and key learnings, so rhinos around the world may benefit. For families and children, Kendi’s story shows how caring for one animal can help inspire the protection of wildlife around the world. There are a LOT of options when it comes to dining in Walt Disney World, so how do you decide what to add to your list for your next Disney vacation? We review Disney restaurants and food EVERY DAY, so you know what to pick! Cítricos Hidden on the second floor at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, you’ll find one of Disney’s 2022 Michelin Guide-recognized restaurants. Today, we’re bringing you along for our FULL review of Cítricos, so you can see if it’s a dining location you want to visit on your next trip! In 2021, the menu at Cítricos received a revamp from Chef Andres Mendoza that features Florida cuisine with a Mediterranean influence. The restaurant reopened after a refurbishment in July 2021 and was re-imagined into a restaurant inspired by Mary Poppins Returns. Cítricos Atmosphere I’ll start off by saying that the atmosphere of Cítricos is absolutely stunning! This dining location pays homage to the film Mary Poppins Returns. According to Disney, the dining room is designed to immerse guests in a whimsical garden inspired by scenes from the movie, including decor like flowers, butterflies, and other nature-themed elements. Cítricos It’s also important to note that there is a dress code for Cítricos. Guests are expected to dress in a sophisticated manner to make the experience more upscale and fine dining. Cítricos You’ll first be led through some BEAUTIFUL gates on the way to your table — it’s like you’re being treated like royalty! Cítricos During the day, you’ll find Cítricos to be very bright and open with the natural light coming in from the many windows inside. And at night, you’ll find a peaceful ambiance from the delicate light fixtures inside the restaurant. Cítricos There are also several ways to dine here, including a main dining room, a walk-up bar area, a smaller dining room, and a private wine room. Cítricos Bar Area But one of our favorite (and most comfortable) upgrades after the refurbishment is the new chairs! The dining room has standard tables and chairs, and a booth option as well! These chairs are extremely soft and comfortable, leaving you at ease after a long park day! Cítricos Dining Room But enough about the restaurant — let’s dive into the menu! Menu Cítricos offers several menus when you dine here. You’ll receive one for your first courses, entrées, enhancements, and sides. Cítricos Menu You’ll also get a lengthy wine list (did we mention that Cítricos’ wine list is award-winning?!) … Cítricos Wine List …and a menu with specialty cocktails, beer and hard ciders, specialty non-alcoholic beverages, and even more wine! Cítricos Wine, Beers, and Cocktails List At the end of your meal, you’ll be offered a dessert menu. Cítricos Dessert Menu You can also ask for an allergy-friendly menu if anyone in your party has any allergies. Now let’s move to all of the eats! Eats Cítricos is well-known for its flavors of Provence, Tuscany, and the Spanish Riviera. We started off our meal with the complimentary bread service that includes house-made cheese rolls that are served with guava butter with basil salt. Cítricos Bread Service We could literally smell the cheese as soon as it was set on the table! They are fluffy, they are light, they are DELICIOUS! The cheese was sharp, but not too powerful. Cítricos Cheese Bread The guava butter served with it added a tart taste with a creamy buttery finish that we thought went very well together. Cítricos Guava Butter After this, we ordered our first course of the Celery Root-Sunchoke Bisque for $15. This is made with pickled pears, spiced brown butter, and sunchoke chips. Celery Root-Sunchoke Bisque When you think of ‘bisque,’ your mind might automatically think of lobster bisque, which tends to be on the heavier side, but this bisque was so creamy, smooth, and light! The poached pears in the soup add a fruity flavor with a bit of caramelization, and the parsley on top adds an herbaceous pop! It was absolutely delicious! Celery Root-Sunchoke Bisque For our entrée, we decided to grab the Malbec Guava-barbecued Short Ribs for $42, made with aged cheddar creamy grits, roasted poblano, curtido slaw, and brussels sprouts. Malbec Guava-barbecued Short Ribs The short rib was so tender and perfectly cooked that it just fell apart at the prompt of our fork! The cheddar grits were so creamy, and the cheese wasn’t too overpowering. The guava sauce that topped the short rib was a great balance of tartness and spice, and the curtido slaw added a nice touch of acidity. Malbec Guava-barbecued Short Ribs The short rib was extremely meaty and rich, but all of the flavors worked so well together that we kept going back for more! Similar to the poached pears in the bisque, the brussels sprouts were caramelized, but interestingly, they added a bit of bitterness to the dish. And at the bottom of the plate, you’ll find a poblano pepper sauce, which is a beautiful combination of tangy, smoky, and spicy flavors. Malbec Guava-barbecued Short Ribs We finished off our meal with the Mango Coconut Cremeux made with a passion fruit ganache, rum cake, and a lemongrass-coconut ice cream for $14. Mango Coconut Cremeux No one bite will be the same in this dessert. It’s sweet. It’s tart. It’s crunchy. It’s salty. It’s creamy. It’s everything you’ve dreamed of! The cremeux itself is not too sweet and is very tart and light, and full of mango flavor. The tartness is balanced with the sweetness of the coconut ice cream. Mango Coconut Cremeux The outside ring is made up of small cookies that have a similar taste to graham crackers. It is a great mix of salty and sweet! This dessert is the ultimate palette cleanser at the end of a very savory meal, and we’d order it 1,000 times over! Nosh or Not You’ll want to dine at Cítricos if… You are looking to venture out for unique and vibrant flavors. You want a more fine-dining experience with quality food and luxurious decor. You’re celebrating something or want a date night spot — there is a dress code, so it’s perfect for a classy occasion! You should skip Cítricos if… You’re sticking to a budget — be prepared to spend a pretty penny on your meal here! You are taking a trip with small children. Someone in your party is a picky eater — you won’t find your typical chicken tenders and fries on this menu! Overall We had a great experience here! These dishes are meant to be savored and picked specifically to your own taste! The service was incredible, and we absolutely love the view. Although it is a bit pricey, we would go back in a heartbeat! Cítricos Note: Cítricos is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays through July 14, 2026. It’s time to head back to one of our favorite spots in all of EPCOT for unique snacks — Mitsukoshi in the Japan Pavilion! Time for some new treats! While we’re normally against recommending pre-packaged snacks in Disney World, this is the exception. Japan is known for having some incredibly interesting snacks you can’t find easily anywhere else, but the Japan Pavilion helps bring some of them a little closer to home. A few weeks ago, we got to try some delicious new bread snacks, and now, there are TWO new flavors available! We’d like to send a huge thanks to @themeparkcomedians on Instagram for bringing these to our attention! As soon as we got their message, we knew we had to head into the parks ASAP to try them out. The two new flavors on the lineup are Maple and Hokkaido Milk, both for $2.79 each. More bread? Yes, please! Starting off with the Maple Flavor, this one is super soft and fluffy, just like the others we’ve tried, and the best way we can describe it is a large Hawaiian roll with thin maple layers to sweeten it up. The maple isn’t overly sweet or overpowering, and we appreciate that it doesn’t make the treat messy either. It’s easy to eat on the go, making it a great snack for families! Maple Flavor The Hokkaido Milk Flavor, on the other hand, is even FLUFFIER, which we didn’t know was possible. There are little cream-colored flakes throughout the bread that we’re assuming are supposed to be the milk part, but they don’t have much flavor. When we tasted a flake on its own, it had more of a vanilla taste to it. This one isn’t as sweet as the Maple, so if you’re looking for something a little lighter, this may be the way to go. Hokkaido Milk Flavor We know these seem simple, and they are, but they’re super fun, fresh, and are unlike many of the other snacks available, so they’re winners in our book! Plus, they’re a great snack for picky eaters, which can sometimes be a challenge around World Showcase. More Recent Reviews! One of the best places to grab a sweet treat in Disney World actually isn’t in any of the parks or even Disney Springs. It’s at one of the resorts. Cake Bake Shop Which is why we always make sure to take a trip over to Disney’s BoardWalk Inn to try out any new cakes released at the ever-popular Cake Bake Shop, so you can decide if a $22 cake slice needs to be on your Disney dessert bucket list. We just stopped by The Cake Bake Shop to try the new limited-time Marshmallow Dream Cake for $22. This is classic French Valrhona chocolate cake filled with marshmallow buttercream, Callebaut Belgian chocolate ganache, and mini marshmallows. A brand new Cake Bake Shop Cake The marshmallow icing was soft, airy, and delicious. The mini glittery marshmallows inside the icing added a fun whimsy to the appearance, but didn’t taste as fresh as we were expecting. It tastes like there’s maybe a coating over them to keep them from falling flat in between the cake layers, which was not our favorite. Marshmallow Dream Cake The chocolate ganache is very thin underneath the marshmallows between each layer, but the ganache is dark chocolate and bitter, and it doesn’t match the marshmallow and light flavor of the rest of the cake. However, since it’s so thin, it does not come through in many bites. Love the details in the icing! The cake itself is plain chocolate cake and is pretty dry overall, which is not typical of a Cake Bake cake. It is very thick and honestly creates an odd consistency when combined with the fluffy frosting. Overall, this was not our favorite slice of cake we’ve tried at The Cake Bake Shop, but we think we might have just gotten a weird batch that has been sitting out for a bit. Some of these flavors are available year-round, while others tend to be seasonal (pumpkin spice, we’re talking about you). If you keep up with travel news, you may notice that there seems to be a rise in cases of unruly passengers on flights. Sometimes, the passengers are so disruptive that they delay take-off time and even create a situation where a plane’s path needs to be redirected. Unruly passengers on planes can disrupt flights Well, according to the BBC, a new airline rule in the U.K. could deal with such disruptive passengers by banning them from flying on ANY airline in the country for the rest of their lives. Officials from the U.K. Department for Transport are meeting with airlines this month to discuss how creating a ban list across airlines of disruptive passengers will work. The idea is that those passengers would be put on a national ban list and prevented from flying with any airline for life. It would also allow airlines to share information on unruly passengers and restrict them from boarding flights. ©United Airlines Problematic behavior, drunken passengers, and other disruptive folks have become an increasing problem for many airlines. Right now, though, if a passenger with a history of disruptive behavior on a flight gets banned from one airline, they can still book flights on other airlines. The new rule would prevent that. “Everyone should be able to enjoy a pint at the airport, but antisocial behaviour on flights is totally unacceptable,” a government source told the BBC. “It threatens the safety of passengers and crew, and disrupts hard-earned holidays.” Flying If approved, this national database would be managed by the government and the airline industry together. It would not require any changes in current law, although it would have to figure out a way to work with the U.K.’s current data protection rules. Right now, those rules restrict the sharing of passenger information. “There are already tough laws in place to deal with offenses committed on flights, but we are exploring with industry how we can better address this issue, ensuring we crack down on people who persistently cause chaos,” the government source added. On board a flight Jet 2 chief operations officer Phil Ward talked about how the airline would support such an effort. He said, “The creation of a national database will mean that, as well as being banned from flying with us, disruptive passengers can also be banned from flying with other UK airlines. We look forward to meeting with the government to discuss further.” A group that represents most U.K. airlines is also supportive of the idea, stating that “additional measures” need to be taken with those passengers who cause serious flight disruptions. It’s no secret that Disney World offers a large selection of culinary options, with something for every type of palate. However, not every one of these foods is created equal as far as Cast Members are concerned. Turkey Leg Thanks to overexposure to certain foods, environments, and guest behavior, the former Cast Members on our team say they avoid these foods any time they’re hungry at the “Most Magical Place on Earth.” All-Star Pizza So, our first story out of the gate has nothing to do with the pizzas served at the All-Star Resorts and everything to do with an incident witnessed by one of our team members. End Zone Pizza While working as a Cast Member, they saw a group of middle school-aged guests throw a pizza down — toppings first — and then proceed to pick it up and eat it. Suffice to say, they haven’t eaten a pizza since. All-Star Sports Seating Casey’s Corner Hot Dogs For many Magic Kingdom guests, a hot dog from Casey’s Corner is the epitome of an All-American Disney World meal. However, for many Cast Members — including on our team — who’ve worked in the eatery and smelled thousands of hot dogs at the height of the Florida summer, they’re more the epitome of a “must-skip” Disney Food. Between the reviews, menus, and reservation strategies, it’s a lot to sort through. Buffets Walt Disney World features several buffets, including Chef Mickey’s. You can make your own charcuterie! Turkey Legs Disney World’s famous Turkey Legs are not, as the internet would have you believe, made of emu meat. They are indeed turkey. However, they are also held together and shaped by edible glue, which, once you’ve served it, felt its grease drip down your forearms, and found out how they’re pieced together, you can kill your appetite for ever chowing down on one again. Turkey Leg Mickey Pretzels Say it ain’t so! The iconic Mickey Pretzels you know and love come frozen and are then sprayed with water, salted, and warmed. Truth be told, they’re still delicious, but losing the illusion of freshness can feel like a bummer. There are so many snacks to try all over Disney World, but especially at Disney Springs. We know that it can be overwhelming to try to decide what you should try on your Disney Springs day. That’s why we are here! Disney Springs We always make sure to try all the new food, snacks, and drinks across Disney World so you can know exactly what you should try and skip on your next visit. And we just tried three new snacks over in Disney Springs. We recently stopped by Cookes of Dublin in Disney Springs. This is a quick service spot that serves delicious Irish food and is located right next to the Raglan Road Irish Pub. Cookes of Dublin On our last visit, we decided to try three new items, including the Bread & Butter Pudding Bites for $9.99. This is made with a fluffy dough, cinnamon, sugar, and comes with two dips, butterscotch and vanilla. Bread & Butter Pudding Bites These were really good! We know these were a fan-favorite over at Raglan Road, so we are happy they are now available here as well. These are sweet without being overwhelming, and the vanilla and butterscotch sauces really gave it that classic bread pudding taste and texture. So much cinnamon and sugar We were really happy these sauces came on the side because they helped prevent the snack from getting too soggy. Overall, this was a great treat and something we think would be enjoyed by just about everyone at your party. SO good! Next up, we tried the Cookes Spud Bites for $9.99. This is made with crispy potato, chives, and comes with a garlic mayo dip and a bacon and cheese dip. The potato interior is fluffy and has a nice, smooth texture. The bacon and cheese dip is very light and has a strong smoky bacon flavor. Cookes Spud Bites However, when combined with the potato, the bacon and cheese flavor fades into the background. The garlic mayo was very tangy and heavy on the garlic flavor. Of the two dips, we preferred the garlic mayo since that flavor came through more than the bacon and cheese. Overall, if you’re a fan of potatoes, we would definitely recommend checking this one out! Cookes Spud Bites Last up, we tried The Boxed Spice Bag for $9.99. This is made with fries (aka chips), grilled veggies, chicken strips, and curry sauce that came on the side. This was LOADED with food! The Boxed Spice Bag The curry gave the whole dish a kick but also a good, smooth texture. It has more of a spicy aftertaste. The grilled vegetables gave this a good crunch, but they did not add much flavor-wise. We, unfortunately, were not fans of the fries. They were thick steak fries; however, they didn’t have any crunch and got very soggy. Very crispy The chicken strips had a nice, deep-fried crunch. The chicken inside was surprisingly moist, but it was not very flavorful. The whole dish was overpowered by curry sauce, so if you grab this, we would suggest dipping it in the curry sauce and not pouring it over everything. We love going to Burger King for great burgers, crispy fries, and tender nuggets. These little beauties haven’t been sold since 2011, and they’re available nationwide right now! To celebrate, Burger King is launching a new kids’ meal with Crayola. Burger King is teaming up with Crayola, the iconic crayon brand, with a Crayola-themed King Jr. Meal, available starting June 9th. Each meal includes a co-branded 4-pack of Crayola crayons as well as a crown and a meal bag for kids to color!
