My friend recently told me she wanted a Loungefly without spending “I could have bought park tickets with this” money, so naturally, I did what any responsible Disney enabler would do: I went hunting on Amazon. ©Amazon Before we get into the five I sent her, don’t forget that we also have an Amazon Storefront packed with our favorite Loungefly bags if you want even more options to consider. Browse responsibly. Or don’t. I am not your conscience. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. If you want a plethora of options, check out the DFB Amazon Storefront, filled with some of our favorite Loungefly bags if you want even more options to browse. Fair warning: browsing may become cart-building. Cart-building may become “well, shipping is basically free if I add one more thing.” view ALL the Disney Loungeflys on sale on AMAZON Loungefly Disney Peter Pan Glow Clock Mini Backpack This one feels made for the Disney fan who wants a bag with a little extra park-night sparkle. The Peter Pan Glow Clock Mini Backpack has that classic London-to-Never-Land energy, with a design that nods to the clock tower and the magic of flying off to somewhere much more interesting than your actual responsibilities. The glow-in-the-dark detail gives it a little nighttime drama, which makes it a fun pick for fireworks, evening park hopping, or pretending your Monday errands are slightly more enchanted than they are. ©Amazon This is a good choice for someone who wants a Loungefly that still feels recognizably Disney without going full character cosplay. It has a storybook quality to it, but it’s still easy enough to style with jeans, a park outfit, or your “I packed snacks and sunscreen, please respect my authority” vacation uniform. This would be especially cute for Magic Kingdom days, Peter Pan’s Flight fans, or anyone whose inner child still thinks “second star to the right” is a completely valid travel plan. view ON AMAZON Loungefly Disney Atlantis Kida Mini Backpack The Atlantis fans have been waiting patiently in the corner for years, and frankly, they deserve some respect. The Loungefly Disney Atlantis Kida Mini Backpack is a great option for someone who wants a bag that stands out from the usual Mickey, Minnie, and princess lineup. Kida has always had one of the coolest designs in Disney animation, and this backpack brings that bold, glowing, ancient-mystery energy without feeling like something everyone else in the park will also be carrying. ©Amazon This is the pick for the Disney fan who likes their accessories with a little deep-cut credibility. It says, “Yes, I love Disney,” but it also says, “I have opinions about underrated animated films, and you may subscribe to my newsletter.” It would be a strong choice for EPCOT days, Animal Kingdom outfits, or any Disney fan who loves a bag that feels a little more adventurous than sweet. Not every Loungefly needs to be pastel and covered in bows. Sometimes the bag should look like it knows where the secret crystal chamber is. view ON AMAZON Loungefly Disney Mickey Mouse Mick-O-Lantern Halloween Crossbody Purse bag Some Disney Halloween items are cute. Some are spooky. This one is basically grinning at you from inside a pumpkin patch and daring you not to love it. The Loungefly Disney Mickey Mouse Mick-O-Lantern Halloween Crossbody Purse Bag is a great pick if you want something seasonal yet wearable beyond a single party night. The Mickey pumpkin design is festive without being too scary, which makes it perfect for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, fall park days, trick-or-treating with kids, or just becoming the most thematically committed person in the grocery store. ©Amazon We also love that this one is a crossbody instead of a mini backpack. Sometimes you don’t need to carry the emotional contents of an entire Disney vacation on your back. Sometimes you just need your phone, wallet, lip balm, sunglasses, and maybe one snack you fully intend to forget about until it has become pocket archaeology. If your friend wants a Loungefly that feels special but doesn’t need to be used year-round, this is a fun budget-watch option. Disney Halloween fans know that spooky season starts approximately whenever we say it does, so no judgment if this comes out in July. view ON AMAZON Loungefly Mickey Mouse Glitter Sequin Convertible Mini Backpack Crossbody Bag This is the bag for the friend who says, “I just want something practical,” while actively reaching for sequins. The Loungefly Mickey Mouse Glitter Sequin Convertible Mini Backpack Crossbody Bag gives you a little bit of everything: Mickey, sparkle, and the ability to switch between backpack and crossbody styling. That last part is important because park days are long, and your bag needs to be prepared for multiple eras of your vacation personality. Morning you might be a backpack person. By 4PM, after three snacks, two mobile orders, and one unnecessary lap around World Showcase, you might become a crossbody person. ©Amazon The glitter and sequin details make this one feel fun without being locked into one holiday or specific character outfit. It’s a solid “first Loungefly” choice because Mickey goes with everything, and the convertible design gives it more flexibility than a standard mini backpack. It’s also a nice choice if your friend wants something Disney enough for the parks but not so specific that it only works with one outfit. This one has main-character-at-the-ticket-tapstiles energy, but in a way that still leaves room for sunscreen and a granola bar. view ON AMAZON Disney Lilo and Stitch Animal Friends Mini Backpack Stitch bags are always a safe bet because Stitch fans are not casual people. They see Stitch; they stop scrolling. It’s basically fashion science. The Disney Lilo and Stitch Animal Friends Mini Backpack is bright, playful, and full of that chaotic little blue gremlin charm. The animal friends design gives it a softer, cuter feel, so it’s not just Stitch causing adorable destruction across the front of a bag. There’s a little tropical sweetness here, which makes it especially fun for Animal Kingdom days, beach trips, summer vacations, or a meal at ‘Ohana if you’re lucky enough to snag that reservation. ©Amazon This is also a great pick for younger Disney fans, Stitch collectors, or anyone who wants a Loungefly that feels colorful and cheerful without going too dressy. Some bags feel like display pieces. This one feels ready to go ride Jungle Cruise, eat something pineapple-adjacent, and make questionable souvenir decisions. view ON AMAZON Which One Should You Send to Your Budget-Conscious Friend? If your friend wants something classic, send the Peter Pan Glow Clock Mini Backpack. If they love underrated Disney movies, the Atlantis Kida Mini Backpack is the move. If Halloween is their personal Super Bowl, the Mickey Mick-O-Lantern Crossbody is the obvious choice. If they want sparkle and flexibility, the Mickey Glitter Sequin Convertible Bag gives them both. And if they are a Stitch person, well, you already know. Send the Stitch bag and step aside. The real trick with buying Loungefly bags on a budget is patience. Amazon prices can jump around, so if one of these is a little higher than you hoped, add it to your list and keep checking back. A deal can appear out of nowhere, and suddenly you’re explaining to yourself that, actually, buying the bag was financially responsible because it was on sale. Keep checking our Amazon Storefront for more Loungefly finds, Disney deals, park bag picks, and the kind of cute stuff that makes packing for Disney World feel like a sport. view ALL the Disney Loungeflys on sale on AMAZON We’re always on the hunt for the latest and greatest Disney souvenirs and essentials, so don’t forget to stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for more! We all know that airlines have loyalty programs that offer many different perks when you fly. These perks could include free seat selection, free checked bags, complimentary snacks and drinks, and more. ©Getty Images However, sometimes other businesses will offer different perks for flights. In this case, Delta Airlines announced a new perk for those who use T-Mobile. So, if T-Mobile is your carrier, you’ll want to hear about this new benefit! June is “Member Month” at T-Mobile, and it includes exclusive benefits, limited-time perks, experiences, sweepstakes, and more. Among those perks is free premium in-flight drinks for T-Mobile members who are traveling in the U.S. ©Getty Images This perk is specific to Delta Airlines only, but it’s a great perk that will allow T-Mobile to pick up the tab the next time you order an in-flight drink while flying with Delta. The premium drink includes alcoholic beverages like spirits, wines, and beer. Essentially, all the drinks you need to pay for are now free for all T-Mobile users. Also, this perk isn’t limited to the “Member Month.” It will actually extend beyond June. ©Getty Images As we said before, there are a lot of perks for T-Mobile users right now! During the week of June 9th, you can get $1.99 per gallon of gas at select Shell stations in L.A., Houston, and Chicago. T-Mobile users can also get an additional 40 cents off per gallon at participating Shell stations on T-Mobile Tuesdays. ©T-Mobile Also, during the week of June 23rd, T-Mobile members can get up to 40% off hotels and rental cars, up to $2,500 in T-Mobile Cruise Credits, and more. When we’re at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, we love shopping and finding our new favorite piece of merch. When we were in Mombasa Marketplace today, we finally found the souvenir of all souvenirs! They’re SO adorable! These little giraffe and elephant toys are super cute, but they have a secret – they’re made entirely of recycled sawdust! Obviously, we had to learn more. These Sustainable Collectables made from sawdust are $7.99 each or $14.99 for both. The process of making these cute figures is so cool, and they have an entire video about it built into the display. They take sawdust from harvested trees and use non-toxic glue to combine it and form solid figures. Then, they press it together in a mold to get these adorable animal shapes. So cool! Right now, you can get either a giraffe or a lion figure. The machine says these are limited-edition, so the animal options could change over time. Each figurine comes on a wooden base that reads “Disney’s Animal Kingdom,” so it’s a great way to remember your visit. It’s also an affordable Disney World souvenir at only $7.99! Get them before they’re gone To grab one yourself, head to Mombasa Marketplace, across from Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery in front of Kilimanjaro Safaris in Africa. All you have to do is touch the screen to select your figurine, then choose your payment method. It’s important to note that the machine actually makes the figurines when you order, and it takes a few minutes. So don’t try out this fun offering if you’re in a hurry. However, just a few minutes after you place your order, you’ll have a super unique and sustainable souvenir. The process is super easy We had so much fun getting this souvenir today. Some Disney World foods have a fan club. Mickey Waffles have a small government. There is something deeply powerful about a warm Mickey-shaped waffle on a Disney morning. Maybe it’s the crispy edges. Maybe it’s the soft, fluffy middle. Maybe it’s the fact that breakfast tastes better when it has ears. Whispering Canyon’s Mickey Waffles If you’ve ever come home from Disney World and immediately started wondering why your regular toaster waffles now taste like cardboard sadness, good news! You can get shockingly close to the real thing at home. The secret is the waffle mix. And yes, it’s on Amazon. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. Carbons Golden Malted Pancake & Waffle Flour This is the one Disney waffle fans talk about in hushed, reverent breakfast tones — Carbons Golden Malted Pancake & Waffle Flour. Enjoy Golden Malted Waffle Mix at Home! This 33-ounce canister is the mix you want if you’re trying to recreate that classic Disney-style waffle flavor at home. It has that slightly sweet, malted, crispy-on-the-outside thing going on that makes Mickey waffles feel different from your average Saturday morning waffle. Regular mix can get you breakfast. This gets you dangerously close to “we have a dining reservation in 12 minutes and someone forgot the stroller fan” vacation breakfast. ©Amazon You can grab the Carbons Golden Malted Pancake & Waffle Flour on Amazon for about $20 right now, and that is much cheaper than booking an entire Disney World vacation because you miss breakfast. Not that we would judge. We understand food-driven travel decisions more than most people understand mortgage paperwork. You’ll spot Mickey waffles all over Disney World, especially at breakfast. You can find them at resort quick-service spots like Everything POP Shopping & Dining at Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Capt. Cook’s at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Beach Club Marketplace at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, and the All-Star Resort food courts. A Classic They also show up at character and table-service breakfasts like Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, ‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Tusker House Restaurant in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Whispering Canyon Cafe at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. And yes, Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge gets bonus points because breakfast there already feels like it was assembled by a cowboy with excellent butter instincts. Menus can change, so always check before you go, but Mickey waffles are one of those Disney breakfast staples that tend to pop up in a lot of beloved places. Mickey Waffle platter At home, the mix is simple to use. Follow the directions on the canister, don’t overfill your waffle maker, and let the batter cook long enough to get those golden edges. Mickey’s ears deserve structure. view ON AMAZON Disney DCM1 Classic Mickey Waffle Maker Brushed Stainless Steel Now, the mix gets you the flavor. But if you want the full “I am spiritually still at a Disney resort breakfast” effect, you need the shape. That’s where the Disney DCM1 Classic Mickey Waffle Maker comes in. Disney Classic Mickey Waffle Maker ©Amazon This brushed stainless steel waffle maker creates a big Mickey-shaped waffle, which is exactly what your kitchen needs if your regular breakfast has been lacking theatrical mouse architecture. It has a nonstick cooking surface, a power light, and the kind of countertop presence that quietly says, “Yes, I do own themed kitchen appliances, and frankly, I’m thriving.” Pair this waffle maker with the Golden Malted mix, and suddenly your kitchen is giving Disney breakfast energy without the mobile order scramble, the resort bus countdown, or the tiny panic of realizing someone already used the last paper plate. ©Amazon This is especially fun for Disney adults, families, holiday breakfasts, birthday mornings, post-trip blues, pre-trip hype, or those random Saturdays when you simply need your breakfast to come dripping in sugar and character-shaped. Sometimes morale comes from a perfectly browned Mickey face. We support this. Who doesn’t love waking up to a good Mickey Waffle? You can top your waffles with syrup and butter, keep it classic with powdered sugar, add strawberries and whipped cream, or build a full resort-style plate with bacon, sausage, eggs, and fruit. Want to go full Disney breakfast tilt? Pour some juice in a fancy glass, play park background music, and pretend your kitchen is steps away from the monorail. No one has to know you’re still in pajama pants. view ON AMAZON The Disney Breakfast Shortcut We’re Fully Supporting Will this replace eating Mickey waffles at Disney World? No. There is still something magical about sitting down to breakfast in the parks or at a resort while everyone around you is fueled by coffee, sunscreen, and poor sleep. But this combo gets you pretty close. DELICIOUS The Carbons Golden Malted Pancake & Waffle Flour brings that familiar Disney-style waffle flavor, and the Disney DCM1 Classic Mickey Waffle Maker gives you the shape that turns a normal breakfast into a tiny edible vacation. It’s also a smart little buy if you regularly find yourself craving Disney food between trips. A canister of waffle mix and a Mickey waffle maker cost a whole lot less than one character breakfast for the family. Again, not the same experience, but when the craving hits, this is a pretty strong Plan B. Hi, Mickey! You can even make a batch ahead of time, freeze the extras, and reheat them in the toaster or air fryer for weekday Disney breakfasts without doing a full production. That is the kind of kitchen efficiency we respect. So, if Mickey waffles are one of your must-eats in Disney World, this is your sign to bring the magic home. Grab the Carbons Golden Malted Pancake & Waffle Flour on Amazon, add the Disney DCM1 Classic Mickey Waffle Maker, and get ready for your kitchen to smell like a Disney resort breakfast. You won’t believe who we just saw at EPCOT! EPCOT We were recently at EPCOT, enjoying our day at the park, when the most unexpected thing happened. We’re willing to bet you won’t be able to guess what it was! Check out who we ran into at EPCOT… Country Bears at EPCOT? …it’s the Country Bears from Country Bear Jamboree in Magic Kingdom! They’re a long way from their home in Frontierland, and seeing them in EPCOT felt a little strange. EPCOT is known for having Character Paloozas, which are where there are groups of random characters out and about learning how to interact with guests and play in Disney World. Big Al is at EPCOT! The Country Bears were walking around World Showcase and hanging out with guests. Hey, we guess the Country Bears are allowed to enjoy touring around the world, since they never really get to leave the den. We met Wendell, Big Al, and Romeo McGrowl. Look who’s here! It was so fun to see the Country Bears at EPCOT, but we know you’re all asking the same question — why are they there? Well, we actually saw lots of Character Attendant Cast Members with a red “Earning My Ears” banner under their name tag. If you’ve ever seen a Disney World Cast Member with on their name tag, it means they’re training. EPCOT We love seeing Cast Members and characters getting a chance to train on the job, and we’re always down for meeting some more characters and filling our autograph books. Daisy These character appearances that have lots of them just come out to meet guests are never scheduled or planned. They can pop up at the International Gateway or the World Showcase on training days to help Cast Members practice before they start working at an official meet-and-greet. They can also pop up all around Disney World, which explains why the Country Bears are so far from home! So fun! The agents at Small World Vacations know how to save money on your Disney Vacation! It’s a new month, which means NEW treats are hitting Disney Springs left and right. We’re ready for new treats! One of our favorite spots for a sweet treat is none other than Amorette’s Patisserie, and we can usually count on them to have some new options each month for us to try. We headed over to try two new items on the menu, but we’ve got to come right out and admit that while one of them was so good it melted in our mouths, the other was a one-and-done. First up on our list was the new Key Lime-Grapefruit Tart for $8.50, which is Key Lime Custard on a Sugar Tart filled with layers of Grapefruit Jam and Grapefruit Cream. We’ve got one word for this, and that’s TART. Key Lime-Grapefruit Tart This isn’t for the meek. It’s incredibly acidic and tart, so much so that it was too much for us, and our reporter usually loves these flavors. While the mousse is very creamy, it doesn’t offer any relief from the tartness overall, and while the crust has a hint of sweetness, it doesn’t do anything to balance the flavors out. We think this could have benefited from a meringue topping, or something whipped, to better balance out those flavors. As it stands, we wouldn’t get it again. It’s VERY acidic The other item we grabbed was the Rainbow Bellini Petit Cake for $22, which is Layers of Rainbow-colored Chiffon Cake soaked with Peach Champagne, Simple Syrup, and Peach Champagne Mousse. Rainbow Bellini Petit Cake Not only is this one absolutely beautiful, but the cake here is so light and airy, it literally melts in your mouth. The peach flavor here is very subtle, but in the best way, and while we also didn’t get much of a champagne taste from the cake, we didn’t mind too much. We were also very impressed that we didn’t get any of that bitter flavor you often taste in treats that have a lot of food coloring, though make sure you have lots of napkins — this WILL dye you multiple colors, and it melts fast in the Florida sun! Donuts are more than just a breakfast food; they’re also a snack (and sometimes, they’re even a great lunch…don’t judge us!). And one of our favorite places to get donuts in Disney World is Everglazed Donuts and Cold Brew. Donut Time! Now, Everglazed is mostly known for its over-the-top donuts and its Grilled Cheese Donut (which we will defend to the death), but did you know that you can also get a donut flight based on summer cocktail flavors there? Well, you can, and as soon as we figured that out, we were first in line at Everglazed to order this donut flight for ourselves. The Summer Social Donut Flight features three donuts inspired by classic summer cocktail flavors and will be available through July 31st. You get a Lemon Drop Donut, a Pina Colada Donut, and a Strawberry Mojito Donut for $12.95. Everglazed took those cocktail flavors and transformed them into donuts. It’s kinda’ brilliant, right? Summer Social Donut Flight So let’s talk about these donuts. The Lemon Drop Donut is a fresh glazed donut with lemon curd filling and frosting. The donut is perfectly cooked (no surprise there) and not overly glazed. We only wish it had more lemon flavor and filling. Lemon Drop Donut However, it’s still a DELICIOUS donut with a hint of that lemon flavor. Also, we thought the frosting on top wasn’t needed because it really didn’t add any additional flavor, just more sweetness. Needed a little more lemon flavor The Pina Colada Donut really wowed us, though, because it really tastes like a Pina Colada. You’ve got a good, strong flavor of coconut, with some pineapple flavor coming through. The toasted coconut on top is a nice addition, too. The topping is just whipped topping, and this time, we wished it were a flavored frosting. Pina Colada Donut However, this donut is DELICIOUS, as well as filling. This is one donut we would eat again and again throughout the summer. Our fave! However, the Strawberry Mojito Donut was a miss for us. The mint flavoring in the green frosting had that toothpaste taste, and we just couldn’t get past it. It pretty much overwhelms the strawberry flavor. Strawberry Mojito Donut We can say that if you need a mint, this is a good way to get it. But this was our least favorite of the three donuts in the flight. We would have loved to have more of that strawberry flavor come through, with the mint being more subtle. This just wasn’t it. Not a fan of all that mint We’ll be trying even more new treats in Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for more. If you’ve ever been to Magic Kingdom, then you know how amazing staying at a Monorail resort is. Not only are they gorgeous hotels, but you can get free transportation directly to The Most Magical Place on Earth! We love the Monorail! One of our favorite perks of the Monorail resorts isn’t actually the monorail – it’s the boat ride across the Seven Seas Lagoon directly to Magic Kingdom that takes the cake. One of these boat docks has been closed since mid-May, but it just reopened today! On May 11th, the boat dock at Disney’s Polynesian Resort closed for routine maintenance, which paused boat rides to and from Magic Kingdom. The boat dock just reopened today, so we had to check it out! It’s open! The dock looks pretty different from how it used to be. While the awning looks the same, it looks like completely new wood all along the dock, and new posts, too. The new wood is so pretty! We’re so excited that these boats are back at the Polynesian. You’re not gonna be proud to own every single Disney Parks essential that you use, but that doesn’t make them any less effective! Neck Cooling Tube These essentials may not be the most flashy, visually appealing, or popular items you can bring with you to Disney World — but there’s no denying that they help. From keeping you cool to making sure you stay comfortable in the sticky theme park weather, these are some “embarrassing” essentials you should check out right now on Amazon! DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. Keep your shoes dry with this first souvenir Silicone Waterproof Shoe Covers Are these Silicone Waterproof Shoe Covers the most stylish shoe accessory? Not exactly, but they really do the trick despite us having ZERO faith in them at first glance. We recommend sizing up to alleviate any discomfort from the zipper top — but rest assured that they actually work! If you’re hoping to keep your feet dry during a storm or not worry about a water ride, these do just fine (as long as you don’t leave a big gap at the top of the cover). BUY ON AMAZON This hat looks odd, but it’s effective Outdoor Wide Brim Hat Fan The Outdoor Wide Brim Hat Fan will make you look like an alien, but it’ll keep you cool while you’re traversing the parks. There are two fans that can either work simultaneously or alternately, and they can easily be removed to charge or stored away in a bag. The fans can be charged via a cord or through solar power, and they work better in a cool environment — as they gather air from your environment. BUY ON AMAZON This odd device is actually very useful Neck cooling tube This Neck Cooling Tube is available in several different colors on Amazon, and we really like how easy it is to transport. Lightweight and dry, sometimes, this little tube cools us better than a neck fan or a cooling towel! You’ll want to cool it ahead of time or constantly dunk it in ice water, but when it works… wow, does it really work! We’ve used these during outdoor dining reviews and when going about our regular park days, and it’s been a lifesaver. BUY ON AMAZON Prevent chaffing with this next souvenir ©Amazon Chub-rub and chaffing aren’t the most fun things to talk about when discussing a Disney vacation — but they’re still important to acknowledge. We personally swear by Body Glide Anti-Chafe Balm, and it’s gotten us through what could have been some really tough times. You can use this stick to prevent and relieve hot spots on feet, and chafed, chapped, and cracked skin, and you can safely wash it off with soap at the end of the day. This is one of those items that is a MUST-HAVE for anyone worried about chaffing. BUY ON AMAZON Choosing the right underwear is critical ©Amazon Another taboo topic can be underwear, but keep in mind that Disney days are inherently uncomfortable, and every layer of clothing matters. This BAMBOO COOL Women’s Underwear Set is available in several different color combos and sizes, and is made with a bamboo/spandex material that’s breathable, moisture-wicking, and sweat-wicking. This set regulates temperature, and the elastic waistband provides comfort AND security. Comfort and practicality are crucial when it comes to long Disney days, and this set nullifies complications that could happen with the wrong pair of undergarments. When we’re at EPCOT, we love stopping by the BoardWalk for great food, fun entertainment, and stunning lake views. But lately, the BoardWalk has been plagued by construction between Jellyrolls, the mysterious Project Amazon, and Project Bubbles! BoardWalk Disney just filed a new Notice of Commencement permit to install signs on the BoardWalk, and we’re pretty sure we know what top-secret new location it’s for. Walt Disney Imagineering just filed a new Notice of Commencement permit to install signage at the BoardWalk. Design Communications Ltd. is the contractor, a custom sign fabricator specializing in architectural specialties and experiential signage. They’re Disney’s go-to for signs, having worked on Disney World’s newest land, The Walt Disney Studios, and the upcoming Monstropolis in Hollywood Studios. The Walt Disney Studios Last month, Disney filed two permits for the BoardWalk, one titled “Project Amazon” and one titled “Project Bubbles.” We’re thinking this is basically Project A and B, so likely, it’s just what Disney is calling it to keep it a secret. Project Amazon is set to replace Big River Grille & Brewing Works. This is a pretty big restaurant space. Project Bubbles is slated for the Promenade Fine Art Gallery space. We’re pretty sure another restaurant and store are coming soon. The former Big River Grille & Brewing Works in 2024 While there’s another location under construction at the BoardWalk right now, this permit is not for the Jellyrolls building. This new signage permit is likely for Project Amazon or Project Bubbles (or even both)! Disney’s BoardWalk While Disney hasn’t made an official announcement on Project Amazon or Project Bubbles, we’ll be sure to update you once they do. Disney is going ALL out with Toy Story 5, and we’re seeing all kinds of fun promotions and collaborations nearly everywhere. The Internet nearly broke once the new Taylor Swift song for the film was released, but you’ll also find a ton of new Toy Story souvenirs and merchandise (including Crocs) and even a collaboration with Papa Johns for Toy Story-themed pizza. ©Alaska Airlines Well, NOW, Toy Story is taking to the skies like Buzz Lightyear. Alaska Airlines recently announced that its regional carrier, Horizon Air, will have Toy Story planes. Horizon Air is officially bringing Toy Story to the skies with a new livery of Embraer 175 planes with exteriors inspired by the new film. It features classic Toy Story characters like Woody, Buzz, and Jessie, as well as new Toy Story 5 characters, Lilypad, Snappy, Atlas, and Smarty Pants. The planes also feature fun Toy Story-inspired callouts like “Saddle Up, It’s Takeoff Time!” and “Ready for Takeoff, Partner.” Forky and Karen Beverly also appear on the planes’ winglets. ©Alaska Airlines The new plane collection is called “To 45 and Beyond,” in a nod to Buzz Lightyear, but also commemorating Horizon Air’s 45th anniversary. Andy Schneider, President and CEO of Horizon Air, said, “I couldn’t think of a more special way to celebrate Horizon’s history with our guests than to bring out the kid in all of us. Forty-five years of service is a meaningful milestone, and I couldn’t be prouder of our people who, each and every day, put their best foot forward to deliver the industry’s best and most caring travel experience.” ©Alaska Airlines These aren’t the first Disney-themed planes in Horizon Air’s fleet. This week was certainly a big one for Disneyland Resort, with tons of announcements around Oogie Boogie Bash, which kinda stuck Disney World in the backseat. Though after weeks in a row of TONS of news and changes, we think it deserves a little break. ©Disney That’s not to say that things didn’t still HAPPEN in Disney World, because they absolutely did. Not only did one construction project FINALLY finish up after months, but we also got new sneak peeks of TWO of the new lands on their way! If you’re visiting Disney’s Pop Century Resort soon, we’re happy to report that construction on the splash pad is officially complete (it felt like it took forever, but hey, we’re here now, and that’s what matters), and Disney gave us an in-depth look at what’s happening behind the walls at Monstropolis! Plus, we got another bird’s eye view of progress over at Tropical Americas, which was another big plus. via @bioreconstruct Let’s take a look at the other closures taking place from June 5th through June 12th. Magic Kingdom Storybook Circus Pete’s Silly Sideshow is temporarily unavailable as of January 4th, 2026. This is the Storybook Circus meet and greet area, where you can meet Donald Duck, Goofy, Daisy Duck, and Minnie Mouse as they join the circus. Good news, though! While Pete’s Silly Sideshow will be closed, you can still meet all of the characters! You will find Goofy and Minnie at the entrance to Storybook Circus, and you can find Donald and Daisy in the back of Storybook Circus by the restrooms. Pete’s Silly Sideshow However, now there’s ANOTHER closure in the land as well. Big Top Souvenirs closed on February 20th, and Disney has said it’ll “reopen for guests to enjoy later this year,” but there’s no date in sight. When we stopped by recently, we noticed that the entire top of the store is GONE right now! Talk about a jumpscare! The tent disappeared! We’re really curious to see how this all turns out, so we’ll keep you updated! Liberty Square Riverboat and Tom Sawyer Island An iconic part of the Magic Kingdom is now permanently closed. As of July 7th, 2025, the Rivers of America, including the Liberty Square River Boat and Tom Sawyer Island, are permanently closed to make way for the new Cars area, Piston Peak. There are lots of construction walls up in the area now, and the structures on Tom Sawyer Island have been demolished. Most recently, we saw some updates to the concrete on the land, as well as leveling taking place for the new attractions — how exciting! Piston Peak construction Piston Peak National Park will be replacing this area of the Magic Kingdom. Disney has not yet announced an opening date for the new Cars area, but we do know it will feature two brand-new attractions and be themed to look like a National Park. 7 Big Changes Coming To Disney World Next Month Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Parts of) Animation Courtyard Animation Courtyard closed on September 25th, 2025, to make way for Walt Disney Studios. The courtyard area, new Disney Jr. show, and meet and greet station for Sofia the First and SupeKitties officially opened on May 26th, but we’re still waiting for the other sections of the area to open. Star Wars Launch Bay will be turned into The Magic of Disney Animation. This attraction will have you interacting and exploring with this fun take on Disney Animation headquarters, complete with the return of the Sorcerer Mickey hat! Mickey and Minnie! This area will also feature a new Drawn to Wonderland indoor play area that we can’t wait to see! Muppets Courtyard Muppet*Vision 3D and PizzeRizzo closed on June 8th, 2025, and Muppets Courtyard has been walled off for construction on the new Monsters, Inc. land. Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano has been closed since May 11th, 2025. Most recently, Disney took us behind the walls for the first time, where we got to see that most of the buildings are covered in tarps as materials are brought in and facade work is in progress. ©Disney Plus, there’s also work being done on the former PizzeRizzo building that has scaffolding up all around it. We also got a chance to see that a lot of the concrete has been torn away to make way for new landscaping, which is pretty typical for Disney projects, and we got a great look at the MASSIVE building the new coaster in this land will be housed in. ©Disney If you’re missing The Muppets, you can go visit them at Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets right now! CONFIRMED: We Are Getting HUGE Monsters Inc. Land News on August 15th EPCOT Refreshment Port Refreshment Port located near the Canada Pavilion in EPCOT’s World Showcase closed for refurbishment on January 12th. We’ve heard nothing on it for months, but now, we know that when it reopens, it’ll become La Poutinerie! La Poutinerie Concept Art ©Disney The spot will be sponsored by Air Canada, and promises to deliver “a Canadian classic with a twist.” Disney hasn’t announced an opening date or a menu, but we’re hoping our favorite poutine will come back any day now! 2 Weeks When the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival Could Be EMPTY Disney’s Animal Kingdom DinoLand, USA On February 2nd, DinoLand, USA officially closed to make way for the new Tropical Americas land, Pueblo Esperanza. Most recently, thanks to an update by @bioreconstruct on X, we can see that the walls have been cast and placed for the Casita in front of the Encanto dark ride. via @bioreconstruct We can also see lots of work happening at the front of the new Indiana Jones ride! via @bioreconstruct This new land is shaping up nicely! It will have three new rides – a carousel featuring classic Disney animals, an Indiana Jones ride where you’ll explore a Mayan temple, and an Encanto ride that invites you into the Madrigal’s home. We can’t wait to continue to see how it all shapes up. BABY ANIMAL ALERT! A New Baby Giraffe Will Make Its Animal Kingdom Debut Soon Disney World Hotels Boat Dock — Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Starting on May 11th, the Boat Dock at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort became unavailable for guests to use due to refurbishment. The dock is closed! Boat transportation is expected to be unavailable from now through June 5th, though construction on the dock as a whole will continue through late June. It’s not too bad, but this does mean the only way to get from the hotel to Magic Kingdom is to take the Monorail or walk. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa This hotel has been undergoing refurbishments for quite some time now, but some sections of the hotel — specifically the porte cochere — will continue to undergo refurbishment through at least early 2027. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort We certainly hope it’ll actually reopen on this timeline — we’re a little tired of seeing construction all over this beautiful hotel! Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort Currently, work is taking place all over Bay Lake Tower through Late 2027. Additionally, exterior elevator landing repairs will be taking place through late May 2026. Bay Lake Tower While currently no major closures are taking place due to this construction, it’s important to note you may see or hear construction during your stay. Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort For those looking to dine at this hotel, you need to know that the Turf Club Bar & Grill and Turf Club Lounge will both be under refurbishment from mid-March through mid-September 2026. Turf Club Bar & Grill In early April, the Turf Club Lounge will close for refurbishment and will reopen in early August. In the meantime, the Turf Club Bar & Grill will remain open with a pop-up bar serving a modified Lounge food and beverage menu. Then, from early to mid-August, the Turf Club patio will close for refurbishment, and finally, from mid-August through mid-September, the Turf Club Bar & Grill will be closed for refurbishment, but the Turf Club Lounge will be open. Leisure Pools — Disney’s Yacht Club Resort and Disney’s Beach Club Resort Disney’s Yacht Club and Disney’s Beach Club Resort are currently undergoing visible exterior maintenance. The maintenance could affect views and may require alternate routes at times. In addition, two of the resort’s leisure pools will close for routine maintenance. Tidal Pool At Disney’s Yacht Club, the Admiral leisure be will be closed for maintenance through early May 2026. At Disney’s Beach Club, the Tidal leisure pool will be closed for maintenance through early May 2026. Guests may see or hear construction work, but it will only be done during the daytime hours. However, the Promenade Fine Art Gallery isn’t closing for good, and it will just be moving to a new location. Promenade Fine Art Gallery Most recently, Disney just filed permits for the BoardWalk titled “Project Amazon” and “Project Bubbles,” so it’s possible we could see some movement on these updates soon! Jellyrolls — Disney’s BoardWalk Jellyrolls at Disney’s BoardWalk officially closed on April 19th, 2025. This entertainment venue has provided our team with countless memories, and we know many others are also sad to see it close. Jellyrolls had its final farewell performance on April 19th. 2025 and closed its doors forever on Disney’s BoardWalk. What is to become of its former location, though? Well, there are now walls all up around the building, so work IS being done, but it’s not yet clear what will arrive in its place. Jellyrolls Now, we know that Jellyrolls will be moving to a new location about 10 minutes away, and a grand opening is planned for late summer or fall 2026. We also know that the new location will have free parking, be closer to the space that the original Disney location was in, and allow people to be dropped off and picked up by rideshare services right at the front door. These 4 Disney World Hotels Just Got Even BETTER
Disney4me posted a topic in Disney Food/Restaurants
For over 5 decades, hotels have been an essential part of the Walt Disney World experience, with the opening-day Polynesian Village and Contemporary resorts joined by more than 25 hotels since 1971. Art of Animation Resort Over that time, Disney’s hotels have served up a litany of special perks to guests, and in the summer of 2026, Disney has added some distinct… character to four of their resorts. As part of the Cool Kids Summer promotion — which began in May and runs through September 8th — a litany of special perks is available to guests at 4 hotels: the Caribbean Beach Resort, Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, Art of Animation Resort, and Pop Century Resort. By far the biggest is the addition of scheduled character appearances at each of the hotels! Mickey at Port Orleans — Riverside for Cool Kids’ Summer First introduced in 2025, this game-changing perk allows guests to experience character encounters that were previously park-exclusive on days when they choose not to leave their hotels. This can be especially helpful for parents who want a bit of a cool-down day at their resort while still appeasing kiddos yearning for some Disney magic. Minnie Mouse at Pop Century… with Donald in the background. In addition to the character appearances, there are several other perks unique to these 4 hotels, including: Special Libraries: Little ones can celebrate Disney stories in libraries provided by Disney Publishing, where the magic of their imaginations can come alive with tales of princesses, heroes, and more. Pajama Party: Wind down with your family during story time! Participate in a “create your own bedtime story” activity, where the magic of a good book comes to life with the arrival of a favorite Disney Character. Pool Party: Make a splash at a high-energy poolside experience with games and music for the whole family. Campfire: Gather ‘round for a celebration filled with marshmallows and Disney-infused entertainment. Pool Party! Perks aren’t entirely limited to these 4 hotels, however, as guests at all of the on-property hotels have access to Disney’s free water perk. First introduced in 2025, this perk gives each member of a guest’s party free admission to one of Walt Disney World’s water parks, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon, on their check-in day. Typhoon Lagoon Cool Kids Summer has brought a slew of perks to the Caribbean Beach, Port Orleans Riverside, Art of Animation, and Pop Century resorts! Oogie Boogie Bash in Disney California Adventure is just a few short months away, and we’re already gearing up for tickets to go on sale on June 18th (though Magic Key Holders get early access on June 16th). ©Disney It’s already been announced that there will be some pretty significant changes at the party this year, with one of the biggest being that the popular Frightfully Fun Parade won’t be taking place. Instead, Disney has added a new addition that highlights Madame Leota and Haunted Mansion, but what exactly is the reasoning behind the lack of parade? Well, once we heard it, we realized just how much it made sense. Just a few days ago, Disney confirmed a few of the offerings coming to Oogie Boogie Bash this year, and their wording subtly announced that the new Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake – A Haunted Mansion Street Party would be replacing the iconic Frightfully Fun Parade this year. That’s certainly a bummer, as we love the parade (though we are looking forward to seeing what this new offering will look like), but what’s the reason for the change? Frightfully Fun Parade According to the Orange County Register, it’s believed that the reason for the lack of the parade this year is due to the current construction in the park on the new Coco attraction. As the Haunted Mansion section of the parade is many visitors’ favorite, we can totally see why Disney decided to center their new attraction all around that theming. From the concept art, it looks like we’ll get to see Madame Leota herself, as well as the grave diggers, ballroom dancers, cemetery caretaker, and, of course, some ghosts. Frightfully Fun Parade The new Coco attraction is expected to arrive in the area south of Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta and behind Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind, in a Paradise Gardens Park and Pixar Pier area that is predominantly backstage right now. This will be the first-ever Coco ride to exist, and while it may not seem like we can see a lot of construction right now, it’s possible that the issue for the parade would be the backstage space that’s currently under construction — those floats do take up a lot of space! All we know about the ride right now is that we’ll be joining Miguel on a special journey, seeing characters and hearing unforgettable songs from Coco on a trip to the Land of the Dead. ©Disney Going to miss the Headless Horseman, who usually would ride down the parade route ahead of the rest of the floats? Don’t worry, Disney has confirmed that throughout the night, you’ll see Ichabod Crane hurry through the park as he tries to evade the sinister specter of the Headless Horseman astride his dark steed. Yes, that means we should be able to see BOTH characters, which is super unique! Headless Horseman Looking for more recent Disneyland news? Check out our posts below! EPCOT’s International Food & Wine Festival has been one of Disney World’s premier events for over three decades, and it often has the crowds to prove it! However, believe it or not, some weeks are slower than others. 2025 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival If one dissects the 2026 Festival’s dates, certain weeks will be easier to visit than others. Now, that doesn’t mean lines will be nonexistent — they’ll still be there, especially at the most popular booths — but the park won’t be as slammed with crowds as it is during the fest’s opening, closing, or Holiday weeks. The 2026 edition of the Food and Wine Festival is scheduled to begin on August 27th and run through November 21st, which is in line with the scheduling of the event in recent years, which has seen it begin in the final full week of August and end just before the Thanksgiving holiday. That, in turn, means we can look at previous years to gauge which weeks in 2026 might be — comparatively — slower. Crowds in EPCOT September 13th – 19th Thanks to a quirk of the calendar, 2026 has Labor Day — the unofficial end of summer and the summer vacation season — arriving on September 8th this year, the latest date it can possibly fall. That makes the 13th through the 19th the first full post-Labor Day — and post any late summer vacationers — week on the calendar, and likely one of the overall slowest at Disney World all year. Autumn Chili October 4th -10th The next week should see crowds relatively small from October 4th through the 10th. With late September religious holidays — which often see travelers heading down from the northeast — where many major cities see brief school closures in observance — over and the true influx of Halloween visitors yet to begin, this early October week will likely be the last one resembling anything slow at the Food & Wine Festival and Walt Disney World in 2026. Pineapple Cheesecake The Eat to the Beat Caveat There is one major metaphorical wrench that Disney could throw into these prognostications, however: The Eat to the Beat Concert Festival. Offered as part of the standard EPCOT admission ticket, this series features world-renowned musical artists performing several times a day during the festival at the America Gardens Theatre in World Showcase. In recent years, stalwarts like Hanson, New Found Glory, and Sugar Ray, as well as festival newcomers like Yellowcard and even the legendary Beach Boys, have drawn MASSIVE crowds and lines during their performances. The Beach Boys… While the schedule for the 2026 Eat to the Beat series has yet to be revealed — judging by recent years, we would expect the full lineup sometime around July 1st — if Disney were to schedule one of the more in-demand acts for one of these “slow” weeks, it could suddenly lead to a much, much busier Food & Wine Festival. … and the lines for the Beach Boys. If these weeks do end busier than expected, or you do find yourself visiting the Food & Wine Festival on another particularly busy day, there are some things you can do to alleviate the crowding’s impact on your time. These include: Scoping out the Fest’s map and menus beforehand so you know what you “must” try. Rope dropping popular booths that are on your must-do list. Mobile Ordering special festival items that are available at permanent quick service dining. Bring your own water bottle to stay hydrated while sampling dishes from different booths. Cheers If you’re planning to head to the 2026 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival with a flexible travel schedule, you may want to consider one of these comparatively slower weeks. Magic Kingdom is in the midst of quite a large overhaul — there are walls practically everywhere you look! Carousel of Progress Over in Frontierland, Piston Peak is coming to life behind tall walls (though hop on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure or Big Thunder Mountain Railroad for a great look at what’s going on), and Villains Land is currently being built from the ground up behind Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. However, it was recently announced that ANOTHER big project is beginning in just one month, and it’ll change one attraction for good — this is your reminder that you’ve only got ONE more month to experience the current version of Carousel of Progress! Carousel of Progress will close for a length refurbishment exactly a month from today, on July 6th, to make major changes to the attraction. The reason for the change is so the attraction continues to feel current, updated, and relatable for audiences today, and Imagineering is planning to do that by updating the music, fashion, technology, and experiences that helped shape history as it’s reflected in this family’s story. What will the future bring? We know that the new Act 1 will take place in the 1960s, which is when the attraction first opened at the 1964 World’s Fair. Then, it looked back at the last 60 years of history, and now it’ll still do the same, but now looking at the 1960s to now! We know that this first scene will take place in 1969, as the family gathers around the TV to watch the moon landing. The idea is to keep the “spirit of innovation and possibility that has always been — and always will be — at the heart of Carousel of Progress.” Carousel of Progress Act 2 takes place in 1985. Sarah will take center stage (for the first time ever!) on Halloween night as she shares all about how the new appliances and gadgets of the time are making life easier for the whole family. While John is out on the porch handing candy out to trick-or-treaters, and don’t worry, Uncle Orville will still iconically complain about how there’s no privacy in the house! Hey, Sarah! Act 3 brings us to the close of the millennium as the family is getting ready to ring in the new year on New Year’s Eve 1999. The Internet is bringing John, Sarah, Jimmy, and Patty closer together, but Grandpa has already nodded off, so Grandma changes the TV over to wrestling when no one is looking. Finally, Act 4 features a future that could be possible. The family is in a home that’s out of this world, complete with a robot assisting with everyday tasks, space travel, and where extraordinary innovation has become part of life. Carousel of Progress The beginning of the show will also feature an introduction by Walt Disney, which will be SUPER special. The attraction is expected to reopen sometime in 2027, though no more specific opening timeline has been released at this time. ©Disney We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all the latest Disney World news, so be sure to stay tuned to DFB! 7 Big Changes Coming To Disney World Next Month Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox!
