  1. You have to pay CLOSE attention to those Disney World park hours and showtimes — they can be SNEAKY! One moment, you might see that Magic Kingdom is closing at 10PM — but then, the next day, that closing time may change to 11PM! (Trust us — it’s happened to our reporters dozens of times!) Happily Ever After Even Disney’s nightly fireworks shows can change from one day to the next — that’s why you have to keep a close eye on the My Disney Experience app! Luckily, we watch for changes like a hawk, so come with us to see the important fireworks CHANGE happening in Magic Kingdom this March. Disney’s beloved Happily Ever After show will soon begin at a different time. This is super important to keep in mind, as fireworks viewing in and around Cinderella Castle fills up quickly, and you need to make sure you’ve got a good spot before it’s too late. We LOVE Happily Ever After! Currently, and up until March 9th, Happily Ever After will start promptly at 8PM. You can check the showtimes right on the My Disney Experience app or on the Disney World website. ©Disney But then, on March 10th, Happily Ever After will start at 8:30PM. Don’t let this change catch you off guard! ©Disney Oh, and we’ve got ANOTHER change for ya. On March 31st, the show will begin at 8:45PM. See what we mean? Those times can change a LOT from the beginning of the month to the end of the month. Currently, it looks like Happily Ever After will continue to run at 8:45PM through April 20th. ©Disney At this time, Disney is only showing operating hours through early May. But from April 21st through May 2nd, Happily Ever After will begin at 9PM. ©Disney If you’re headed to Magic Kingdom this spring, make sure you know exactly what time the show will begin! The show can start anywhere from 8PM to 9PM, and we typically recommend scoping out a fireworks spot about an hour before the show (if you want to see the fireworks anywhere on Main Street, U.S.A., anyway). Here’s a peek at the crowds around 8PM Not in the mood to deal with all those fireworks crowds? We’ve got a solution! You can visit places like Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort or Disney’s Contemporary Resort to score a unique view of the show. In fact, over at the California Grill restaurant, you get access to an exclusive fireworks viewing location! View from California Grill In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more. 2. We know that planning a trip to Disney World can be expensive. Disney World entrance sign If you are planning to visit Disney World in 2025, ticket prices have gone up from 2024 prices. If you like to visit the parks a lot, we have a tip to help you save some money. Going to the parks using single or multi-day tickets can add up, especially as Disney continues to raise ticket prices every year. Getting a Disney World Annual Pass is one of the best ways to save money on park admission — if you’re going to make good use of it. Annual Pass We have been tracking Disney World ticket prices and in 2025 the cheapest ticket is listed at $119 and the most expensive ticket is listed at $164. This is a $5-$10 increase from 2024 ticket prices. $10 might not seem like a lot but when you have a large party or plan to have multiple park days, the total can snowball. Annual Passholder Magnet Instead of buying single or multi-day tickets, we suggest getting an annual pass in 2025. Currently, there are four annual pass options. They are the Disney Incredi-Pass, the Disney Sorcerer Pass, the Disney Pirate Pass, and the Disney Pixie Dust Pass. Each of the four passes offers admission to all four Disney World theme parks and has different levels of theme park access, benefits, free parking, and Park Pass Reservations. Disney World Annual Pass Here is a breakdown of each of the passes: The Incredi-pass is currently the only annual pass that is available to those who are not a Florida resident or Disney Vacation Club Member. This pass is the most expensive at $1,449, but it comes with the most perks. The biggest perk is that there are no block-out dates. When you do the math (assuming you can get your single-day tickets at $119), you can get your money’s worth on an annual pass after your 13th visit. This is big if you plan on visiting the parks multiple times within the year! Tree of Life The next pass level is for Disney Vacation Club Members or Florida residents only. This is the Sorcerer Pass. This annual pass costs $999. This pass has a few weeks of block-out dates that are around the holidays. Again doing the math based on the cheapest ticket in 2025 ($119) you can get your money’s worth on your ninth visit to the parks. Disney Vacation Club The next two annual passes are for Florida residents only. The math for this can get messy as Florida residents can take advantage of certain ticket offers throughout the year. The Pirate Pass costs $799 and has various block-out dates throughout the year. This pass will pay for itself on your 7th day in the parks. But as we noted, Disney World often offers special Florida resident ticket deals — like the Disney Thrills ticket deal that started in January. It was a 2-day ticket for $199, or a 3-day ticket for $219. These Florida resident tickets can often be used on a non-consecutive days over a period of a couple of months, and can be a great way to save on park admission and spread out your visits. Annual Passholder Entrance The final pass is also for Florida residents and has the most block-out dates. With the Pixie Dust Pass, you can only enter the park on weekdays and are blocked out during many holiday weeks. This pass is the cheapest at $439. This pass will pay for itself on your fourth visit, but again keep in mind that you cannot get into the parks on ANY Saturday or Sunday throughout the year. So, it really only works if you want to go to the parks on weekdays. Scanning into the theme park We expect ticket prices to continue to increase in the years to come, and getting an annual pass can help save you money in the long run if you visit the parks multiple times throughout the year! 3. Disney World has a TON of restaurants to choose from, but when your favorite spot to grab a bite is closed, it can make for a sad trip. 1900 Park Fare A few restaurant closures are going on right now in Disney World that might affect your trip. Each one gives you a unique experience when they’re available, but sadly, you won’t be getting into any of these places this coming week. Disney World Restaurant Closures Tomorrowland Terrace is a quick-service restaurant that’s remained closed since the 2020 pandemic-related closures, but even before that, this spot was only occasionally open. Tomorrowland Terrace Once in a while, you’ll see the dining room open as a rest area (and it’s still being used for the Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Parties), but it’s usually all roped off and empty. Disney hasn’t announced when this spot could finally reopen, but we’ll be watching for updates. Check out our recent review at a Magic Kingdom restaurant that blew us away! Restaurant Marrakesh Restaurant Marrakesh is still closed in the Morocco pavilion of EPCOT’s World Showcase, and there’s no word yet on when it might reopen. Restaurant Marrakesh building The restaurant is kind of open right now — it’s functioning as a lounge with just a couple of drink options. However, we’re still waiting for the full restaurant to reopen! Check out the food booth menus for the 2024 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival! 1900 Park Fare at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort At Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, 1900 Park Fare has been closed for a long time, but Disney has finally announced an opening date and BIG changes coming soon! 1900 Park Fare 1900 Park Fare will reopen with NEW dining offerings starting April 10th, 2024. It’s been confirmed that one of the signature menu items here — the Floridian Strawberry Soup — will RETURN! New characters will be available to meet at the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Aladdin in his Prince Ali look, Mirabel, and Tiana in her new look for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will all be present. ©Disney For breakfast and dinner, you’ll be able to enjoy a buffet meal. There will be new menu offerings available that pay homage to the new characters and their stories. Something has already changed at 1900 Park Fare! While these restaurants are affected by closures, they’re not the only ones! Keep reading for a full list of closures happening in Disney World this week. Magic Kingdom Country Bear Jamboree Country Bear Jamboree closed on January 27th, 2024 for refurbishment. Country Bear Jamboree is CLOSED! Disney announced that a NEW show is coming to Country Bear Jamboree, with the bears learning an all-new act. The new show is set to open sometime this summer. Find out more about the new Country Bear Jamboree show here! Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Splash Mountain is permanently closed — this ride is being renovated to become Tiana’s Bayou Adventure! The new ride will be themed to The Princess and the Frog. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure We recently learned lots of new information about this ride, including a hint that there will be Splash Mountain Easter Eggs throughout the attraction! Tiana’s Bayou Adventure filled with water Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will open this summer in Disney World! Learn more about the re-theming and changes here! With Country Bear Jamboree and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure closed, that leaves just Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Tom Sawyer Island, and the Walt Disney World Railroad open in Frontierland. The Barrel Bridge The Barrel Bridge is still missing from Tom Sawyer Island, and there’s no word on when it might return. The Barrel Bridge is missing Disney’s Hollywood Studios Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster closed on January 8th, it won’t reopen until the summer of this year. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Although we don’t have an exact reopening date yet, we know that it’ll be at least a few months before the ride reopens. Last year, when the ride closed around this time (on February 20th, to be exact), it reopened on May 26th. Voyage of the Little Mermaid Well, it’s official — Voyage of the Little Mermaid is permanently closed in Disney World. We had suspected this was the case for some time (as it hasn’t actually been open for a few years now), but now the permanent closure has been confirmed. Voyage of the Little Mermaid Disney is going to introduce a NEW show in this spot, though it will still be themed to the animated movie The Little Mermaid! The new show will be called “The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure” and is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Fall 2024. ©Disney It will be a “fully reimagined theatrical production inspired by the Walt Disney Animation Studios classic.” 4 unfortunate things that happen every time we go to Hollywood Studios! Disney’s Animal Kingdom Kali River Rapids Kali River Rapids usually closes early in the year for refurbishment since water rides like this tend to be less popular during the winter months when it’s colder than usual. No one wants to get soaked if it’s chilly outside! In 2024, it closed on January 8th. Kali River Rapids Disney has announced that Kali River Rapids will be closed through mid-March. Right now, Disney’s calendar shows that this ride should reopen on March 15th, but Disney hasn’t officially confirmed this as the reopening date. Disney’s Animal Kingdom has 33 restaurants, but you only need to know about 5 Disney World Hotels Fuentes del Morro Pool at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort The Fuentes del Morro Pool is the most popular pool at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. The pool is themed to look like a colonial Spanish fortress and has two waterslides (including one that’s over a hundred feet long!), water spray cannons, and a shipwreck play area for the little kiddos. Fuentes del Morro pool Fuentes del Morro is currently closed, and it’ll remain closed through late March of this year, so about another month or so. The closure is for routine maintenance, which we often see at Disney’s hotel pools during the winter months. If you’re staying at Caribbean Beach, are you just out of luck? Don’t worry! You can still visit any of the five leisure pools at this hotel. There’s one leisure pool at each village. Doubloon Lagoon Pool at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter Doubloon Lagoon at Port Orleans — French Quarter has a 51-foot long water slide that looks like a sea serpent, a whirlpool spa, and Mardi Gras decorations. The pool closed in January and will stay closed through April 2024. Doubloon Lagoon If you’re staying at French Quarter and want to take a swim, head over to Ol’ Man Island at Port Orleans — Riverside, which you can easily walk to from French Quarter. Ol’ Man Island is actually a pool complex! The pool area there has waterfalls, a 95-foot waterslide, a whirlpool, and a kiddie pool. 6 hotel pool rules you have to know before your next Disney World trip Typhoon Lagoon Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park will be reopening on March 17th, 2024! Beach chairs at Typhoon Lagoon The water park has been closed since November 2023 while Disney worked on some refurbishments and spruced up the place. While the park was closed, visitors could instead go to Blizzard Beach Water Park, which was still open — but that’s about to change too. Blizzard Beach will be closed as of March 17th, 2024, so March 16th will be your last day to squeeze in a visit if you want! Prep which rides at Typhoon Lagoon you’ll want to ride here! 5. Has anyone seen the new season of Somebody Feed Phil on Netflix? Spoiler alert: there’s an ORLANDO episode! That’s right, the humble city of Orlando has an impressive enough food scene to earn an entire episode of television. And yes, everything on the show looked DELICIOUS! Disney Springs Speaking of food on Somebody Feed Phil, Disney World snack lovers may recognize one of the treats featured on the show. Guess what? Even Phil Rosenthal knows about the beloved Gideon’s Bakehouse. Intrigued? Go watch the show! But first, take a look at the NEW Gideon’s Bakehouse menu for March! The exclusive Gideon’s Bakehouse March menu has been announced! First up, let’s take a peek at the March Cake Schedule. We spy a mix of returning flavors and a March-exclusive cake. Y-U-M. ©Gideon’s Bakehouse OK, time to reveal this month’s theme: Peanut Butter Chocolate Swirl. Peanut butter? LOVE. Chocolate? LOVE. Combine the two in a swirl? LOVE. The new cookie combines Gideon’s popular PB dough with its velvety Triple Chocolate dough. Then, the cookies are topped with Chocolate Chips, PB Chips, and House-made Candied Peanuts to create our DREAM cookie. This one will be available throughout March at both locations, and there’s a limit of two per person. ⁣ ©Gideon’s Bakehouse If you prefer Gideon’s cakes (same, but SHHH…don’t tell anyone), you can try the NEW Peanut Butter Chocolate Deluxe Cake! This is an updated version of a similar flavor combination, but this one has two layers of PB Cake with a layer of Chocolate Cake in the middle! WOW. The icing is a swirl of the PB and Chocolate Buttercream, topped with a PB Ganache and some PB and Chocolate Mini Chips! This amazing cake will be available by the slice every Wednesday and Saturday in March! ⁣We’re already scheming up a way to go to Disney World JUST for this cake. ©Gideon’s Bakehouse To wash it all down, you can try the Dark Mocha Nitro Cold Brew. This one is exclusive to Gideon’s at Disney Springs. It’s a combination of Gideon’s locally roasted Cold Brew with high-quality dark chocolate. It’s described as rich and flavorful, and based on some of the other Cold Brews we’ve had here, we’re inclined to believe them! ⁣ ©Gideon’s Bakehouse Can you tell we’re SUPER excited about this month’s lineup? Make sure to stop by before the end of March to check out this heavenly flavor combo. In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more. 7. I was a Disney World Cast Member, and I’m here to let you in on a rainy day secret. Yes, rainy days at Disney World have their own sort of protocol, especially if you’re a Cast Member. Haunted Mansion in Disney World I used to work at the Haunted Mansion, and although I did spend a lot of time haunting the halls inside the Mansion, there are also quite a few outdoor positions that I worked as well. If you didn’t already know, attractions Cast Members’ shifts consist of rotations that typically last around 35 to 45 minutes. That means that you’ll spend your shift doing different “jobs” around the attraction. For example, a shift at the Mansion for me might have been starting in a stretch room, then heading to the loading belt, then heading to the Lightning Lane podium to scan visitors in. (Not necessarily in that order, but for the safety of Cast Members its best not to reveal where they’d be headed next — ya feel me?) Anyway, occasionally working in outdoor positions taught me a few things about RAIN. So, let’s start out with a few helpful tips when it comes to riding rides at Disney World on a super rainy day. For the most part, attractions won’t close. However, if the rain gets SUPER heavy or if there’s thunder or lightning in the area, the leaders/coordinators will call for a “Weather 101.” Disney World A Code 101 for Cast Members means that something isn’t working or that it’s closed. So, a Weather 101 at an outdoor attraction means that the ride is completely closed and that the Cast Members MUST take cover. Like, they could get safety reprimanded if they’re just frolicking out and about in the middle of a storm. You know, liabilities and all that. Magic Kingdom At indoor attractions, the ride probably isn’t gonna close during a Weather 101, but the Cast Members working outdoor positions must take cover if there is extremely heavy rain, thunder, or lightning. At the Mansion, that meant that Lightning Lane Cast Members, greeters, and the person holding the End of Line sign needed to be underneath some sort of shelter. Cinderella Castle Except… here’s where it can get a bit awkward. As a Cast Member, you have to take cover if the leaders or coordinators call for a Weather 101. However, you also have to ensure that guests aren’t huddling under shelter that could potentially block the ride queue, entrance, pathway for other guests, et cetera. So… there were times that I myself had to stand under shelter to prevent getting drenched, but I had to tell other visitors that they couldn’t take shelter there as well. Yeah… It’s never a fun conversation. Magic Kingdom A lot of guests understandably get a little persnickety when the Cast Member doesn’t offer up their dry place to stand. Disney is known for putting the safety of guests FIRST, so it seems strange that weird instances like this occur. Just know that if someone tells you that you can’t stand in a dry place with them, the Cast Member likely feels incredibly horrible about it. However, they’re literally just doing their job. Fantasyland In most cases, they’ll give you an alternative solution to staying dry. Visit a shop, go have some lunch at an indoor quick service food location, or find a covered area that isn’t blocking the entrance or portion of a ride queue. Remember that even if a portion of a ride queue is closed, the Cast Members will probably still tell you to leave. Rainy day in Hollywood Studios As long as you aren’t in a ride queue (even if that portion isn’t currently in use), blocking an emergency exit, maintenance door, ride or shop entrance, or pathway for other guests, you should be fine. Magic Kingdom We’ll continue to keep you updated with all sorts of Disney facts, history, and news, so make sure to follow along so that you’re always in the loop. Keeping with the tradition of serving up Wings and Sliders, the new Cheese Pizza-flavored Wings join the returning BBQ Beef Brisket Slider. 2024 Menu We’ve also got a non-alcoholic drink with the Kiwi-Apple Lemonade and a Tangerine Tiki Cocktail for the grown-ups. Ready to dig in? Eats The new Cheese Pizza-flavored Wings are up for grabs to the tune of $8.50. Cheese Pizza-flavored Wings with ranch dip The batch is served with a side of ranch for dipping. (Have you ever had pizza with ranch dip? Seriously, don’t knock it ’til you try it!) Listen, while we normally enjoy a little pizza and ranch combination, this was a miss for us! This one seems to be popular among others, but to us, all we could taste was some basic cheese powder with spices. Note that the spices create more of a dry rub here, so ranch is a must. Cheese Pizza-flavored Wings The BBQ Beef Brisket Slider is BACK! It’s $9. BBQ Beef Brisket Slider with smoked white cheddar and dill pickles on salt and pepper brioche This savory snack is topped with smoked white cheddar and dill pickles and served on salt and pepper brioche. This one transported us to a backyard BBQ pulled pork sandwich! The pork was great (nice and moist), and the BBQ flavor was on point! It’s a little pricey for what you get, but overall, we really liked this one. BBQ Beef Brisket Slider And now, let’s get to sippin’… Drinks Both beverages at Cluck-A-Doodle-Moo are new this year. Let’s start with the non-alcoholic Kiwi-Apple Lemonade, which is $7. Non-alcoholic Kiwi-Apple Lemonade Minute Maid Lemonade and apple juice together with kiwi and Granny Smith apple syrups make up this sweet sip. It’s all garnished with a lovely purple orchid! Um, YUM! This was absolutely delicious! It looks as good as it tastes — our drink was super refreshing, and the flavors work so well together. Kiwi-Apple Lemonade Those in the mood for something a little stronger might opt for the Tangerine Tiki Cocktail. This one’s $17. Tangerine Tiki Cocktail Dark rum, vanilla-citrus liqueur, tangerine and lime juices, and honey syrup are all garnished with a dried red pineapple wheel. Interestingly, we found that this has some strange flavors that just didn’t work well together! The vanilla liqueur is good (duh — it’s vanilla alcohol!); however, the tangerine and honey did not mix well. Don’t be fooled — this one smells better than it tastes. OVERALL We had a fun time at this booth! Not everything deserves a gold star, per say, but there are some fun drinks and savory eats worth checking out. Make sure to time your visit to avoid the LONG lines that may form at this booth! 9. It may seem early to start thinking about 2025 travel dates when 2024 just started, but trust us, you will want to know this! EPCOT Bookings for 2025 at Disney World JUST OPENED, but they opened 3 months earlier than usual. Rest assured, this is a good thing as it can give you more time to plan for your trip and to listen to our warning! Disney has recently raised ticket prices, so we did some homework to find the cheapest days to visit Disney World in 2025. Based on this info, you may want to change the dates you were planning to travel next year! We’re suggesting August and September as an ideal time for a Disney trip! Main Street Now, we do realize that a lot more goes into the cost of a Disney World vacation beyond ticket prices. But Disney’s ticket prices are based on demand, as are hotel rates and airfare, so it’s a safe bet to assume that your overall vacation will be cheaper if you travel to Disney World while ticket prices are at their lowest. The Disney calendar is currently showing days from January 2025 to October 2025. Currently, the cheapest ticket is $119 and the most expensive is $164. For reference, in 2024 the cheapest tickets are $109, making it a $10 price increase from 2024. Disney World Theme Park Ticket Cards We noticed that ticket prices start to fall when August rolls around. This is because August marks the end of summer vacation for Americans. August might not have the greatest number of cheapest dates, but it is the most consistent. The calendar shows nine dates with the cheapest price. ©Disney Check them out! August 19th — $119 August 20th — $119 August 20th — $119 August 21st — $119 August 22nd — $119 August 25th — $119 August 26th — $119 August 27th — $119 August 28th — $119 Scanning in! So which month has the greatest number of days with cheap tickets? The answer is September with 13 dates at $119! ©Disney Here’s the list! September 2nd — $119 September 3rd — $119 September 4th — $119 September 9th — $119 September 10th — $119 September 11th — $119 September 15th — $119 September 16th — $119 September 17th — $119 September 18th — $119 September 23rd — $119 September 24th — $119 September 25th — $119 Chewbacca Disney World Ticket While late August and September might not be the ideal travel time for families since school is back in session, it can help save you money as things tend to add up when taking a trip to Disney World. If you’re interested in seeing what ticket prices will look like throughout 2025, we’ve got the prices for every day listed right here! We will update you when the calendar opens up for November, and December of 2025! Disney World Hotel Prices Also Change Based on Demand We mentioned this above, but let’s delve in a little bit into other costs that will vary based on demand for Disney World. Hotels are a huge chunk of the overall price tag for a Disney World trip. While you can definitely stay off property (i.e. in a hotel or vacation rental not owned by Disney World) to maximize your savings, a lot of guests prefer to stay in the Disney Bubble for various reasons. Staying in a Disney World-owned hotel means you can take advantage of those Disney hotel perks like Early Entry, Extended Evening Hours, booking your Individual Lightning Lanes at 7AM (before everyone else), etc. It also means that you’ll have free Disney transportation to the parks at your doorstep (and maybe even be able to walk directly from your hotel room to a theme park), and that you’re surrounded with Disney-quality themeing and service throughout your vacation. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge But all of this comes with a hefty price tag. While Disney World does have hotel pricing tiers that vary from $200/night up to well over $2000/night, those aren’t going to be consistent prices throughout the year. Guests traveling when those ticket prices are lowest are also going to see the best value on hotel rooms. Hotels in Disney World are priced based on demand as well — so August and September are going to see significantly lower per-night room rates than the weeks surrounding Spring Break or the Holiday season. Additionally, Disney hotel rooms are priced differently based on the day of the week! Hotel rooms will be much more expensive — sometimes even hundreds of dollars more per night — on the weekends. So if you have flexibility in your vacation plans, choose to book Disney World hotels for nights spanning Sunday-Thursday to get the best rates. But remember, Disney World hotel discounts ARE AVAILABLE! You just have to FIND them! We’ve got a full list of current Disney World hotel discounts for you here. Art of Animation Hotel While we’re on this planning kick, make sure you’re also checking out the variance in those flight costs, Disney World park-hopper ticket add-ons (yep, those cost more when it’s busier, too), and rental car costs. 11. Grab your fork and napkin, folks! We’re heading to a NEW booth, and we’re gonna taste it all! 2024 Booth The 2024 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival has officially begun at Disneyland Resort and there are LOTS of things to do. From now through April 22nd, you can devour some tasty eats and drinks, check out unique entertainment, and more. Wondering just what you can eat at the Earth Eats booth? Well, we’ve checked it out, and now we’re sharing our FULL thoughts. Menu Over at the Earth Eats, you’ll find a full assortment of plant-based menu items! Though, we’ve seen a similar (if not identical!) version of this booth at EPCOT for the International Food & Wine Festival, we’re excited to see what West Coast twists Disney’s California Adventure has in store! Menu Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself! Eats First up, we grabbed IMPOSSIBLE Chicken Parm Bites for $8.50. These IMPOSSIBLE Chicken Parm Bites come with tomato and cheese sauces and grated parmesan. These were kinda like mozzarella sticks. They also had a strange texture, but we got used to it pretty quickly. Impossible Chicken Parm Bites The marinara sauce was excellent on these, so if you’re looking for a treat that’s safe and tasty, this is it. However, we would have preferred to have seen mozzarella cheese here instead of parmesan. IMPOSSIBLE Chicken Parm Bites with tomato and cheese sauces and grated Parmesan Next up, we grabbed IMPOSSIBLE Beef Stroganoff for $9. The IMPOSSIBLE Beef Stroganoff comes with Egg noodles tossed in a mushroom cream sauce with IMPOSSIBLE beef and sour cream. Now, that’s a lot of stuff to convert to a plant-based diet, so how does it hold up? Impossible Beef stroganoff This was EXCELLENT. We thought it could use more of the creamy sauce, but that’s a minor detail we can overlook. The mushrooms are the star, though, and the flavors aren’t too bold for a stroganoff. It’s like an upgraded beef stroganoff, and it’s nice to see Disney really making some vegetarian options that are SO good. SO good Now, time to wash all that food down with some drinks. Drinks Regarding drinks on this menu, we got the Watermelon Cucumber Mojito for $17. The Watermelon Cucumber Mojito is made with white rum, watermelon liqueur, mojito and cucumber syrups, watermelon purée, and lime juice, topped with Topo Chico and garnished with a watermelon spear with Tajín twist. Now that is a lot of flavors going on. We have sweet watermelon, tart lime, refreshing cucumber, and spicy tajin. This sounds like a Cancun beach vacation converted into a drink — so obviously, we have HIGH expectations for it! Watermelon Cucumber Mojito We’re happy to report that this drink EXCEEDED our expectations. It is SO refreshing, even with the tajin kick. The watermelon flavor is what you mostly taste, meaning this is the perfect summer drink. There’s just a hint of cucumber, so it only adds a little bit of flavor. However, you do need to be okay with a bit of spice to enjoy it. OVERALL This could be one of our favorite booths at the festival this year. Both food items just really nailed it, particularly for vegetarian dishes. If you’re looking for plant-based options with a LOT of flavor, this is the food booth for you. The drink is also worth visiting this booth for, but if you’re like us, you won’t be visiting it just once. We’ll be back! 12. Disney World sees MILLIONS of visitors every year. Magic Kingdom So you can imagine that dealing with SO many people on a daily basis can be a challenge for Cast Members. When you visit Disney World, too, there are specific rules that you need to follow (although there are some unwritten rules, too). Some rules, though, get broken so often that Cast Members are literally BEGGING you not to break them. So we’re going to outline one of the most COMMON offenses (and what to do INSTEAD). If you’ve ever visited Disney World, you might have noticed that you will occasionally see Cast Members putting white tape on the ground, blocking out very specific areas. This usually happens during the fireworks, parades, and other live entertainment. Now, you might not know what that tape is for, so we’re going to tell you. Taped line The taped-off areas are being used for crowd control. That’s because people tend to crowd specific areas when you’re watching a parade or fireworks. You need to stand WITHIN the taped-off areas to watch entertainment because the other areas are either off-limits or are being used to create paths for those guests who just need to move through the area. Tape is going down for fireworks! However, many people don’t know what the tape means, although Cast Members are generally on-hand during these events to direct people to stay within the lines. So whatever you do, don’t deliberately cross the tape because then you’re just causing a problem for crowd control and blocking other guests who may not be interested in watching the entertainment. Also, if you do accidentally cross a taped line and a Cast Member directs you to move, please follow their instructions. Taped-off areas for fireworks in Hollywood Studios Now, we will say there is ONE instance where you are encouraged to break this rule. If you see a small box taped-off that looks like this… Small taped-off area …you should ABSOLUTELY cross the tape and step inside the box. That’s because when you do so, you’ll get to learn the beauty of what’s called a “Clap Box.” Visitors who step inside the box immediately get applauded by Cast Members. It’s a magical moment and an ego boost all in one. Clap Box However, if you see tape blocking off other areas, keep in mind that it’s there for a reason — to make sure everything keeps flowing smoothly, even during crowded events. If you want to avoid being smushed into a small taped-off area, you can check out the Magic Kingdom fireworks from a different part of the park instead! We like to recommend the area by Gaston’s Tavern in Fantasyland. It’s quiet, uncrowded, and gives you a GREAT view of the fireworks. Come HERE at night instead! 13. We spotted a new park map on a recent trip to Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Tower of Terror The Disney parks often release new maps that sometimes include recent changes to attractions, restaurants, or seasonal offerings. This week we spotted a new map in Disney’s Hollywood Studios that features a big addition! There’s a new map in Disney’s Hollywood Studios just in time for the Spring Break season! New Disney’s Hollywood Studios Park Map! As usual, the inside of the map includes more details on offerings around the park, like dining and attraction suggestions, plus information about the My Disney Experience app. Inside of the Map The back also has helpful information about things like park rules and while we didn’t spot any changes here, it’s good to know where you can find this info! Back of the New Map But there was more to this map than a new cover design. Inside, we spotted an addition that’s particularly exciting to us — a NEW food location has been added! That’s right, Ice Cold Hydraulics, the snack kiosk in Muppets Courtyard is now included on the map at #27! Ice Cold Hydraulics is at #27! You can find the exact location of the new snack kiosk by searching for #27 on the map. There’s a New Addition! 14. Are you ready for all the changes coming to the Disneyland Resort? Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland The possible Disneyland expansion known as DisneylandForward has been in progress since March 2021. During a recent Anaheim City Council meeting, developers went into more detail about what the expansion could feature, including what would be a popular new land! DisneylandForward has evolved into a multi-year Disneyland and Anaheim Resort expansion and redesign. The proposed plan would put $1.9 billion over the next decade in an effort to expand the area’s lodging, retail, parking, dining options, and theme parks. The plan would eventually be in effect for 40 years and transform the resort into something bigger and better — a unified entertainment center. Part of the expansion talks on Disney’s end was the idea that this plan would allow Disney to bring more innovative and immersive attractions to the parks. During the city council meeting, Disney referenced a few of its other lands overseas, such as Zootopia Land at Shanghai Disney Resort and World of Frozen at Hong Kong Disneyland. Rapunzel’s Forest at Tokyo DisneySea was also mentioned by name, further adding fuel to the speculation that Tangled could be coming to Anaheim in a big way. ©Disney So where could Disney put a Tangled Land at the Disneyland Resort? With the aid of expansion, DisneylandForward proposes adding Tangled entertainment (similar to what will be available in Tokyo) to Disneyland Park. The proposal also suggests even more lands, attractions, and entertainment options coming to DCA with mentions of Zootopia, Toy Story Land, Tron, and Frozen. ©Disney If Tangled were to come over to Disneyland Park in the form of a brand new land or attractions, we have a reference to speculate what that entertainment could be. Tokyo DisneySea’s Fantasy Springs will be home to Rapunzel’s Forest, which houses Rapunzel’s Tower and Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival attraction. The ride follows Rapunzel and Flynn Rider on their romantic boat ride to the annual Lantern Festival. Rumored to last about five minutes, this water ride will also showcase other locations in and around Corona. ©Disney The Snuggly Duckling will also be coming in spring 2024. This movie-inspired restaurant will offer dining rooms with different atmospheres (perhaps something similar to Be Our Guest in Magic Kingdom). The Snuggly Duckling will be a counter-service option for guests. Snuggly Duckling Pub ©Disney If expansion is approved, it is very likely Tangled will come to the Disneyland Resort. Disney is banking on the Tangled intellectual property, as the Tangled land is already underway for Fantasy Springs at Tokyo DisneySea. With the infrastructure already in place for future Tangled expansions, it would make sense for Disney to continue the trend in Anaheim. ©Disney More DisneylandForward information can be found here and we’ll be sure to bring you updates from this project as well as other Disneyland news, so keep it posted right here at DFB for all the latest! 15. Does this booth live up to the spiciness of its name?? We had to find out for ourselves! 2024 Booth The Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival runs from March 1st through April 22nd, and we’ve been tasting our way around all the booths to find the best eats of the festival! Join us to see how the menu at Peppers Cali-Ente stacks up! Menu As the name suggests, the theme of the menu at Peppers Cali-Ente is all about bringing the heat! This spot serves up two food items, plus a specialty cocktail. 2024 Menu Now, let’s get to tasting! Eats First up, we’ve got the Shrimp Papas Locas, made with cheddar-bacon potatoes, jalapeño cheese sauce, and chipotle shrimp. You can snag it for $8.75. Shrimp Papas Locas: Cheddar-bacon potatoes with jalapeño cheese sauce and chipotle shrimp This is a new item at this year’s festival and we’re SO glad that it earned a spot on the menu! It had such GREAT flavors! The shrimp was cooked to perfection and the salsa on top added the perfect freshness to balance out the potatoes with cheese sauce. Speaking of cheese, there was a lot of it, and we certainly weren’t mad about it. We would gladly order this dish again, it packs a TON of flavor! Shrimp Papas Locas Next up, we’ve got a returning item. The Chile Relleno Empanada topped with Arbol pepper salsa and Oaxaca and Cotija cheeses. Chile Relleno Empanada with Arbol pepper salsa and Oaxaca and Cotija cheeses This one is definitely back for good reason! The empanada is a fan favorite and it’s super yummy. The spice is definitely there and it’s perfectly balanced with the cheese. You can pick one up for $8.50. Chile Relleno Empanada We were two-for-two on winning food items from this booth, now let’s see how the cocktail stacks up! Drinks The festival drink at Peppers Cali-Ente this year is the Cantarito-Style Paloma. It’s a returning drink made with reposado tequila, habanero-infused pineapple juice, lime juice, rock melon syrup, and Fresca, and garnished with a pineapple wheel and Tajín Clásico for $17. Cantarito-Style Paloma: Reposado tequila, habanero-infused pineapple juice, lime juice, rock melon syrup, and Fresca garnished with a pineapple wheel and Tajín Clásico This drink is SUPER SPICY, so it’s definitely at the right booth! The pineapple flavor is great, but the spice really takes away from it. We thought the spice could definitely stand to be taken down a notch or two. There’s also a super strong alcohol taste to this drink. Cantarito-Style Paloma We probably wouldn’t order this one again mostly because of the overpoweringly spicy flavor! Overall We absolutely LOVED both of the food items, but the drink was a miss for us. And yes, the booth 100% lived up to its name, there was plenty of spice to deem it CALIENTE indeed! With that in mind, if you’re not a fan of spicy flavors, this booth should probably be a skip for you. But if you can take the heat, it’s worth checking out this kitchen! 18. Coffee? Cocktails? Creative beverages inspired by breakfast foods? Sweet frozen treats inspired by cocktails? Golden Dreams Booth The Golden Dreams food booth is checking off a lot of our creative culinary fantasies today at the 2024 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. Menu Over at the Golden Dreams, you WON’T find savory snacks or heaping plates of cheese, noods, or fried delicacies. But you WILL find some super creative and refreshing beverages and treats that just may make you rethink how you view your morning breakfast beverage or after-dinner sweet treat. 2024 Menu Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself! ©Disney Drinks In terms of drinks on this menu, we got a few to sip, savor, chug, and enjoy! First up is the new kid on the menu block, the Fig Matcha Latte, for $7. Fig Matcha Latte The Fig Matcha Latte is made with matcha, soy milk, and coconut and simple syrups topped with a fig oat sweet cream and garnished with matcha powder. This is a non-alcoholic option, so anyone who’s a coffee and matcha fan can enjoy this one! It’s VERY green We’re sorry to say it, but we did not love this one. As a tea, it’s fine, but the flavor is so earthy that you have to REALLY appreciate a matcha flavor to enjoy this drink. It’s got a thick (rather unpleasant) texture, and ultimately, the combination of coconut milk with matcha powder just didn’t come together for us. It’s not terrible by any means, but unless you’re a big matcha drinker, we recommend trying something else. Fig Matcha Latte: Matcha, soy milk, and coconut and simple syrups topped with a fig oat sweet cream and garnished with matcha powder Next up is a tasty little beverage that is new to this booth but a returning offering that we’ve found before over at the Berry Patch last year. This is the Blueberry Pancake Cold Brew for $7.25. Blueberry Pancake Cold Brew This drink is a Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Co. Mexico Origin Coffee, with maple, brown butter & demerara syrup, oat milk, and a blueberry sweet cream (made with cream, oat milk, vanilla syrup, blueberry syrup, and purée). This coffee is garnished with cinnamon-flavored cereal crumble. How does it taste this year? Last year, when we first tried it, we thought it was a smidge underwhelming. It was fine, but a berry and coffee combo is not the absolute best mix we’ve ever tried. However, it’s not super strong, so if you’re a cold brew fan, then it might be worth a try. Blueberry Pancake Cold Brew: Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Co. Mexico Origin Coffee, maple syrup, brown butter and demerara syrups, and oat milk with a blueberry sweet cream garnished with cinnamon-flavored cereal crumble And finally is the new Peach Cobbler Cocktail for $17. Peach Cobbler Cocktail This drink is made with moonshine, peach and amaretto liqueur, peach nectar, condensed milk, vanilla and cinnamon syrups, and lemon juice garnished with frozen peaches. Honestly, if Southern hospitality and charm could be concentrated into a cocktail, this might be it! Here’s a closer peek at the Peach Cobbler Cocktail It basically tastes like a boozy peach cobbler. That sweet peach flavor is the most prominent, and the cinnamon gives it that rich dessert taste. The moonshine in this drink makes it pretty strong, but all the sweet, fruity flavors make the drink go down smoothly. This was a WINNER — we loved this one. OVERALL During our visit, there was a problem with the refrigerator, so we didn’t get the chance to try the Frozen Old Fashioned here. That said, after trying three drinks, we can say that one is a WINNER, one is fine, and one is rather polarizing. If you’re looking for a sweet Southern cocktail, do yourself a favor and get the Peach Cobbler Cocktail. The other two drinks here are fine, but nothing that will knock your socks off. 19. There’s one construction project at Disney World that we just can’t wait for! ©Disney As you know, the new Disney Vacation Club (DVC) Cabins are coming to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and will officially open on July 1st! That’s not much time! In the meantime, we’ve been acquainted with all the fun details that Disney has been working on. There’s one particular detail that you have to know about! We can see from some concept photos Disney released of the new Cabins at Fort Wilderness that there will be bunk beds! ©Disney The new bunk beds, though, have canoe oars on them in colors inspired by Mickey Mouse and his friends. Each bed also has its own Chip ‘n’ Dale mural, and the ladder is on the outside of the bed, rather than in the middle, which might help the bottom bunk feel bigger. There are also storage drawers under each bunk bed. ©Disney I hear you asking, “Bunk beds are cool and all, but what’s so special about them?” Well, as you know, when you’re at Disney World, you burn through a TON of power on your devices. So when you return to your cabin at night to refresh and recharge yourself, what do you do about your device? This leads us to the detail we mentioned earlier. See if you can spot what we’re talking about: ©Disney Did you find it? No worries if you didn’t. If you’re sleeping on one of the bunk beds and you need power, you’re in luck because they have a device charging plug hidden in a lantern within the bunk bed’s wall mural! Take a look: ©Disney Sneaky sneaky, right?!! Attention to detail like that is why we love the Disney World accommodations. 20. We’re checking out all the eats and sips at this year’s Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival, and that means we made a stop at Paradise Garden Grill! Paradise Garden Grill This California Adventure restaurant serves up a special festival menu each year, and this year is no different! We’re checking out several new dishes, so come along with us! Menu This year’s menu at Paradise Garden Grill features a variety of dishes, including a Sisig Burrito, Chicken Musakhan, a Loaded Baked Potato, and a Pistachio Cheesecake for dessert! Paradise Garden Grill menu Other options include Tacos Gobernador and a Cheese Quesadilla. Paradise Garden Grill menu A new drink, a Pineapple-Melon Cocktail, rounds out the menu. Eats We’re starting out our food tour at Paradise Garden Grill with the Sisig Burrito. This burrito is full of Seasoned pork, onions, serrano peppers, garlic fried rice, scrambled egg, and marinated tomatoes with a side of chicharrones and vinegar dipping sauce. You can try it for $13.99. Sisig Burrito Despite the menu description, our dish did NOT come with any dipping sauce, which was a little disappointing. That said, we did get a lime wedge to give our snack a little kick of acidity. The first taste that hit us was the spice from the serrano peppers, followed by a hint of vinegar in the sauce of the pork. This meal was quite filling, and the flavors worked well together. The pork is moist, and the veggies really add the perfect amount of rich flavor. The chicharrones are SUPER SALTY and pretty flavorless, honestly. If you can’t handle spice, this is probably not a good choice. This was a filling meal! Next, we checked out the Chicken Musakhan. This dish is a roasted spiced half chicken and sumac stewed onions on flatbread with a Mediterranean salad and a garlic yogurt dipping sauce. It’s a BIG serving, and it’s $18.49. Chicken Musakhan We had high hopes for this one! The chicken seasoning is delicious. However, the chicken itself was super dry. It doesn’t come with the dipping sauce noted on the menu, so maybe that would help. This dish is NOT cheap, and the meat-to-bone ratio is not worth $18.49. The salad on the side is a refreshing Mediterranean-type salad, but overall this is not a kid-friendly meal and it’s not easy to eat, either. If you’re visiting the festival, we think this is a safe item to skip. We were not in love with this one The Loaded Baked Potato is plant-based and is filled with seasoned steak tips and BBQ baked beans topped with cheese sauce, tangy slaw, and green onions. It’s $13.99 for this dish. Loaded Baked Potato The potato itself was excellent! But the different toppings were both a hit and a miss. Remember how we said this was plant-based? Well, those seasoned steak tips basically tasted like fake beef jerky (it’s not real meat, obviously). The texture was off and, we were not a fan. The potato could have stood alone without the steak, in our opinion! Luckily, we LOVED the beans and the sweet BBQ flavor much needed here. The cheese is a good balance to the sweet BBQ flavor. This was a pretty good option! YUM! And for dessert, we wrapped it up with the Pistachio Cheesecake, available for $6.75. It’s described as a New York-style pistachio cheesecake, and it looks pretty good, right? Pistachio Cheesecake OK, this was a very tasty little treat. The crust is a little too soft and is more like a cake than a hard crust. The cheesecake is rich and creamy, but the texture isn’t quite what we typically see in a normal cheesecake. That said, we really liked this treat! Give it a try if you’re in the area. Drinks The festival drink this year is a Pineapple-Melon Cocktail made with Melon Liqueur, pineapple juice, and a splash of citrus. This one is priced at $18. Pineapple-Melon Cocktail This is a WIN! Beware — you can’t really taste the alcohol here. It reminded us of a Dole Whip float (without the Dole Whip) — like a yummy pineapple juice! It’s super refreshing, but the price is way too high for a really good pineapple juice. If you’re willing to splurge, this is a fun option! Overall This booth came with some mixed reviews. There were some tasty little treats, but also some seriously overpriced items here. If you’re looking for some Food & Wine Festival options that will keep you nice and full, this is a great booth to check out. But if you’re in the mood for some quality, flavorful eats, you might want to keep looking. Full Spread 2024 That’s it for this booth, but there’s a LOT more where that came from! 22. We’ve been making our way through the 2024 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival! And we’re heading to a booth that we’ve been looking forward to all day. 2024 Uncork California Booth We are visiting the Uncork California food booth at 2024 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. Menu This booth is ALL about the wine! There’s an almond cake on the menu, but other than that, it’s allllll drinks. 2024 Menu So, pinkies up, because we have wine toasts to sip! Let’s dig in! Eats First up, we’re grabbing one and only food item, the Raspberry Almond Cake. Raspberry Almond Cake This is a new item this year, and is simple, classic, and elegant, just what you’d expect from a wine booth. It’s an almond cake with raspberry mousse and fresh raspberries. We thought it tasted almost like a muffin top with delicious raspberry flavor sprinkled throughout! The cake was dense but very moist, and the mousse on top was fresh and tart. The raspberry flavor really shines through. Yum! You can pick this treat up for $7.50. Let’s take a look at drinks. Drinks We know this is a wine booth, but let’s be real, we’re here for the mimosas! And what’s better than one mimosa? Well, three of course! Let’s start sipping on that Springtime Bouquet Mimosa Flight. Mimosa Flight This flight has three different floral and Springy mimosa options. First the Chrysanthemum Mimosa with Prosecco with lemonade and rock melon and chrysanthemum syrups. This one really just tasted like Prosecco and…nothing else. There wasn’t anything super special about it, and we wished it had had a more exciting flavor. Next up is the Hibiscus-Rose Mimosa, made with Prosecco with hibiscus tea and rose syrup. This one was much better! It had a great rose aftertaste that was muted when we sipped it but really came through later on. Mimosa Flight And finally, the Apricot-Lavender Mimosa, made with Prosecco with apricot purée and lavender syrup. This was the sweetest of the bunch. It was very floral, so we think the flavor could be divisive. If you usually shy away from floral flavors, you’ll definitely want to avoid this one, but we liked that it had a more unique flavor than the other two options in this flight. Pick up this flight for $18. And finally, another Springy cocktail, the Rosé Margarita. Rosé Margarita This margarita is made with Blanco tequila, rosé, lemon juice, white peach and agave syrups, and cantaloupe purée garnished with a lemon wheel. The flavor that stands out the most in this drink is definitely the tequila. It’s not overpowering, but if you don’t usually like tequila, you’ll want to avoid this drink. The melon is very subtle, and we found ourselves searching for another flavor that could really be the star of this drink. In general, we wouldn’t recommend paying $17 for this one. OVERALL Since this booth is known for its drinks, we were kind of surprised to discover that our favorite thing was actually the cake! The drinks let us down a little bit — we think there are better cocktail options at this festival. But if you’re in the mood for something sweet, we definitely recommend that Raspberry Almond Cake. 2024 Full Spread That’s it for this booth, but there’s a LOT more where that came from! 23. Well, 2024 has already been a HUGE year for Disney, and we’re just getting started. ©Disney During the Q1 2023 earnings call in February, we learned more about how the streaming business has been doing, how profitable the parks have been, and more. Well, Disney CEO Bob Iger will soon be participating in the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media, & Telecom Conference, and he will be part of a question-and-answer session. So what will Iger discuss? Here’s what we’re predicting. Streaming Disney’s streaming services are about to become a hot topic. This is the month when Hulu and Disney+ are officially merging into one streaming service (at least for those who subscribe to both), although the program has already been in beta testing mode since December. We expect Iger to talk about how he expects that to impact streaming, especially as streaming is still his #1 priority at the company. ©Disney However, we might also expect some questions about Disney’s partnership with ESPN, Fox, and Warner Bros. to create a sports streaming service. That service has come under some scrutiny recently, and this merger could violate federal law. Fubo TV is also now set to sue Disney, Fox, and Warner Bros. Discovery over this recently announced joint venture. We may very well see what Iger has to say about that lawsuit and the criticisms the company is facing over the partnership. Here’s more about that lawsuit Proxy Battle Another thing Iger is bound to get questioned about is the proxy battle the company is facing with activist investor Nelson Peltz, who is petitioning for a seat on The Walt Disney Company’s Board of Directors. Peltz has spoken out in criticism about many of Disney’s decisions, including the decision to buy Fox in 2019. Nelson Peltz ©Reuters Recently, the grandchildren of both Walt and Roy Disney have spoken out against Peltz and other activists seeking board positions with the company, saying “these activists must be defeated.” They also expressed support for Iger. Iger responded by commenting that he works with a “deep sense of respect for everything Walt and Roy created” and that it was “incredibly meaningful” to have the support of the Disney family. We’re anticipating some new comments on the issue ahead of the company’s shareholder meeting on April 3rd. More about the Disney family’s comments We’ll certainly be paying attention when the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media & Telecom Conference livestreams on March 5th at approximately at 1:15PM ET. We’ll be covering everything, so stay tuned to DFB for more. 24. OK, Disney fans, we need your opinion. Here in the U.S., there are two versions of a classic Disney ride called Soarin’. First, there was Soarin’ Over California, which transports riders to sunny California. (We can think of two words to describe this version of the ride: Orange. Groves. If you know, you know.) Then, Disney debuted Soarin’ Around the World, and, as the name implies, you get a birds-eye view of some famous places all over the WORLD! If you’ve been on both versions of the ride, which one is your favorite? Soarin’ Over California So, why are we talking about Soarin’? Well, every once in a while, Disney CHANGES the ride experience by swapping between Soarin’ Around the World and Soarin’ Over California. Now, the ride is changing again! Let’s take a look. It’s official: Soarin’ Over California is BACK at Disneyland Resort. The Disneyland website was updated to reflect the change. Starting NOW, you can see Soarin Over California’s full list of operating hours. ©Disney Why the change? You can thank the Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival, which began on March 1st and runs through April 22nd. Like we said, this version is like regular Soarin’, but this time, you’ll be gliding above California with by a score by Academy Award-winning composer Jerry Goldsmith. Soarin’ Over California After you take a ride on Soarin’ Over California, don’t forget to check out the Food and Wine Festival! There are a TON of food booths to enjoy, plus entertainment, festival-exclusive merchandise, characters, and MORE. 25. Another day, another Disney World change. Disney’s Animal Kingdom No matter when you visit the parks, there’s a pretty good chance that they’ll be at least a little bit different than the last time you were there. But, that usually means Disney is working on the latest and greatest new attraction or experience to bring to folks. Whether it’s a big change or small, we’re on the lookout for it — and we may have just found one in Animal Kingdom! A new permit has been filed for work over at two rides in Animal Kingdom! In Pandora: World of Avatar, Flight of Passage and Na’vi River Journey actually share a show building — and that’s where this work is taking place. Flight of Passage The address listed on the permit matches up with this show building, but the permit doesn’t get much more specific than that. The description reads, “Provide labor, material, and/or electrical for construction,” which most likely means more work could be on the way here soon. Unfortunately, what that work might be is anyone’s guess for now. We’re also unable to tell if the work will be for a specific ride, as the two here share one address. The Na’vi River looks pretty tranquil! The good news is that neither ride is showing as being temporarily closed or having limited hours for the foreseeable future from what we can tell, so chances are if the work is starting soon it won’t impact the ride. Either way, we’ll keep an eye out for any potential updates that might clue us into what work is actually going on here.
