This summer, the magic at Disney Parks isn’t just in the attractions—it’s in the stars! From Hollywood icons to fan-favorite stars, some of the biggest names in entertainment have been spotted enjoying the thrills, treats, and unforgettable adventures across Disney Experiences. Over the past few months, Disney Parks have seen a wave of famous faces trading red carpets for roller coasters, making memories with friends and family. With the sun shining and excitement in the air, it’s clear: the season is heating up with a little help from some star power. Ready to see who’s been making magic at the parks? Here’s a look at the star visits that have lit up Disney this summer. Jordan Chiles and Suni Lee Jordan Chiles recently visited the Disneyland Resort with her family while Suni Lee visited the Walt Disney World Resort with her friends. Both sported their favorite Minnie Mouse ears and even showed off a few gymnastics poses in addition to the classic photo in front of each Castle. Meghan Markle Meghan Markle and Prince Harry enjoyed two days at the Disneyland Resort with their family. Meghan and Harry sported Mickey Mouse ear hats while taking Lili and Archie to meet Queen Elsa and Queen Anna. They even made time for attractions such as Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. Michael Bublé An Alaskan cruise called for some magical memories as Michael Bublé and his family enjoyed a recent trip on board the Disney Wonder. Jennifer Garner Jennifer Garner visited Walt Disney World Resort, making plenty of time for character meet and greets along with some of her favorite attractions. She stopped by to say hello to Fancy Nancy, Daisy Duck and even danced with Pluto. Then it was time for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and TRON Lightcycle / Run Presented by Enterprise before heading to Animation Courtyard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios to celebrate Cool Kid Summer. Bindi and Robert Irwin Bindi and Robert Irwin enjoyed a magical family trip to the Disneyland Resort. Their visit was filled with photos from both Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park including photos with Princess Tiana, at Dumbo the Flying Elephant and in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. Bindi’s daughter, Grace, wore her favorite Mickey Mouse ears along with a Cinderella dress as she enjoyed the magical day. But the visit was not complete until Bindi and Robert made a stop at the Jungle Cruise in Adventureland. Emma Roberts Emma Roberts and her family enjoyed a visit to the Disneyland Resort where Emma ended up matching with Minnie Mouse. Two style icons. Normani Normani celebrated her birthday this year at the Disneyland Resort. And of course, the visit would not be complete without a new pair of Minnie Mouse ears. Jesse Tyler Ferguson Jesse Tyler Ferguson and his family enjoyed their day off at Disneyland Paris Resort. Starting off strong, they headed over to watch “Disney Stars on Parade” before making their way over to Fantasyland for Dumbo the Flying Elephant. They posed for photos in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle and then met characters: Mickey Mouse and Princess Snow White. Taika Waititi Taika Waititi spent the day at Disneyland Paris with his mates, even dressing up for the occasion with a Sorcerer Mickey Mouse Ear Headband along with Mickey Mouse sunglasses and a Mickey Mouse hat. Taika made sure to save time for a photo in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle and for a dance moment in Fantasyland, enjoying the sights and sounds of the Park. He even stumbled upon a few familiar faces, Princesses Snow White and Tiana, before finding Princess Rapunzel’s frying pan too. Cam Jordan Cam Jordan and his family enjoyed a recent trip on board the Disney Wish. The visit included photo ops with characters: Princess Tiana, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and even Black Panther. Jason Sudeikis Jason Sudeikis made a trip to Walt Disney World and saw a few familiar faces during his visit to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios – Mandalorian and Grogu. Ashlee Simpson Ross Ashlee Simpson Ross celebrated her daughter’s birthday with a magical family visit to the Disneyland Resort, where they met Woody and Jessie from Pixar Animation Studios’ Toy Story film franchise. Derek and Julianne Hough Derek, Hayley, and Julianne all celebrated Derek’s birthday with family at Walt Disney World Resort. Not only did they stop by to play Disney Parks charades, but they also captured photos at Cinderella Castle, met their favorite characters and sported Mickey Mouse ear hats and ear headbands! The visit was not complete though without beignets and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. Nina Dobrev During a recent visit to the Disneyland Resort, Nina Dobrev stopped by Elias & Co. to go shopping for a new Minnie Mouse ear headband. She showed off the many options, asking her Instagram followers to help her choose which pair was the best fit. Ariana Greenblatt Ariana Greenblatt had a magical day at the Disneyland Resort where she enjoyed everything from her favorite attractions to her favorite snacks! Ariana dropped in for attractions including Alice in Wonderland, Storybook Land Canal Boats, Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue!, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Soarin’ Around the World and Snow White’s Enchanted Wish. For snacks, she stopped by Cozy Cone Motel for an ice cream cone before later heading over to grab churros as she watched “Wondrous Journeys” with fireworks! Ariana even topped off her outfit for the day with Sorcerer Mickey Mouse Light-Up Ear Hat. Vanessa Hudgens Vanessa Hudgens proudly titled herself a “Disney Adult” in an image posted from her recent visit to the Disneyland Resort. She spent the day touring the Park with friends and even made sure to include a Minnie Mouse ear hat. Rafael Nadal After receiving a heartfelt tribute at Roland-Garros, Rafael Nadal kept the magic going at Disneyland Paris Resort where he stopped by for a photo in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle and a meet and greet with Mickey Mouse. FC Bayern Munich Mickey Mouse and Goofy recently welcomed FC Bayern Munich to Walt Disney World Resort as they completed their first U.S. training at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex ahead of the Club World Cup. We recently saw a new TV show at work with our favorite celebrities, and we’re feeling the Disney magic. Check out Jon Favreau filming for the Oswald the Lucky Rabbit television show coming to Disney+ at Disneyland! Jon Favreau Not to be dramatic, but he literally came straight towards us, and yes, maybe we were a little starstruck. Favreau has worked on projects like The Mandalorian, Star Wars, and Iron Man. Hi! Favreau is the director of the new TV show and saw tons of cameras getting ready to film. So much happening Lots of umbrellas and tents were also set up, with A LOT of crew helping with filming and making sure Disneyland guests were staying out of the way. Tons of actors If you didn’t know, the Oswald the Lucky Rabbit show is coming to Disney+. It will feature Oswald “in a blend of animation and live action, bringing his mischievous attitude and self-absorbed antics to modern audiences.” More of the set We’re glad to see the show is underway, and seeing it being made is even cooler. According to NBC 4 Washington, the families of the victims from the tragic midair collision near Reagan National Airport are joining with lawmakers to introduce new legislation. New legislation could make air travel safer The collision in January 2025 between an American Airlines jet and a United States Army Black Hawk helicopter was the deadliest plane crash on United States soil since 2001. The families of the victims are now working to introduce new legislation to make air travel safer. The legislation will require all aircraft to have transponders known as ADS-B systems turned on at all times. These transponders broadcast an aircraft’s position in real time and are faster than other technologies currently in use. As a result of the collision, 67 people lost their lives, and now the families are fighting for safer skies. On the night of the crash, the U.S. Army helicopter did not have its ADS-B system fully operating. New legislation for ADS-B systems has been introduced Doug Lane, whose wife and son died in the crash, said, “This is not about politics for us; it’s about saving lives. Every meaningful step towards transparency, accountability, and safer skies is a victory for every family who has suffered an unimaginable loss.” The NTSB said that this legislation will help save lives. Tim Lilley, father of Sam, who was the first officer on the American Airlines flight, stated, “This is not going to be Sam’s legacy to die in vain. Sixty-seven really great people lost their lives that night, and there’s no reason for that.” Air travel could be safer Three days of hearings regarding the crash began on Wednesday, July 30th. To say we’re hyped about Disney World’s new Monsters, Inc. rollercoaster might be the understatement of the century. Especially since it’s breaking so many of the rollercoaster traditions we’ve associated with Disney coasters. ©Disney We’ve already seen evidence of where Disney World’s new Monsters, Inc. coaster will sit with the expansion to the former Muppets area, and we’ve gotten our first glimpses of its incredible design. However, this new ride is looking to break the mold of everything we’ve known about Disney World rollercoasters up to this point, and we need to talk about it! Now that we’ve learned a little more about Disney World’s upcoming Monsters, Inc. coaster, that leaves us even more to discuss about it. When the new ride was first announced as a major feature you’ll find within the new Monsters, Inc. land expansion taking over the former Muppets Courtyard area, Disney fans seemed instantly invested in not only its theme but its design. A new land themed to Pixar Animation Studios’ “Monsters, Inc.” is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Taking place after the events of the film, Monstropolis need humans’ laughter to power the city. Guests can even ride on a door like Mike and Sully in the iconic scene from the film with Disney’s first-ever suspended coaster. Disney’s proposed design of a suspended seat rollercoaster will be a first of its kind coming to Disney World, and we couldn’t think of a more fitting storyline to match it. During this coaster’s ride, you’ll find yourselves along for the adventure as you traverse the various room doors inside Monsters, Inc. headquarters while evading those who might be looking to get ahead, like our old pal Randall. ©Disney Disney’s Chairman Josh D’Amaro has even made mention of the movements you’ll find in the film brought to life by the claws that “grab the doors and hoist them up into the air to take them away.” Disney’s even given us an inside look (via this model at the D23 Expo in 2024) at the coaster’s proposed loading area, which will feature its first-ever vertical lift that will hoist riders in the air, allowing you to zoom into the door vault. If you look closely, you can see the proposed track and how it loops through the building. We can’t wait to experience the twists and turns on this one! Monster’s Inc. rollercoaster model Just like in the movie, as Sulley and Mike are zooming through the air, hanging onto a swinging door trying to get Boo back to her door, it seems like you’ll fly around with the same ease. Since the rollercoaster’s track will be suspended above you, you’ll have a new sensation riding along with your feet left to dangle in the air — a first for coasters at Disney World, where up until this point, you’ve had a solid base to set your feet on in each coaster train. Coaster vehicles at Expedition Everest This new lift at the loading dock will also eliminate the need for a vertical hill in the coaster, which means we’re in for a completely new way to experience rollercoaster thrills at Disney’s Hollywood Studios once this ride is up and running. But don’t worry about stifling your screams while riding, because it’s laughter and fun they’re after now in Monstropolis to keep their city’s lights on. A peek inside the bag Our biggest complaint about this bag is if you are carrying around something heavier in it. When we had heavier items, it caused the bag to lean to the side since it had a large bottom. You can help counter that lean if you keep the strap more snug, so the bag doesn’t move around as much. There is going to be a Halloween overlay at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar! This is going to start on August 19th, and we can’t wait to try their ghoulish delights. They released a few images of the food, and we’re already planning our order. We have no idea what these eyeballs are! We all love a good ride photo—until someone ruins it for everyone. Space Mountain in Tomorrowland If you’ve ever rolled your eyes at the “no phones on Space Mountain” rule, trust me, I’ve been right there with you. It seemed a little dramatic… until I saw what actually happens when someone ignores it. This is your friendly reminder that this isn’t just Disney being strict—it’s about keeping the ride safe and enjoyable for everyone onboard. Putting Your Phone Away on Space Mountain Isn’t Optional Let’s just say, there’s a reason Disney started cracking down on phones and other loose items on Space Mountain. In late 2022, signs started popping up, making it crystal clear: no phones, no cameras, no small items in hand—everything needs to go in the pouch attached to your ride vehicle. Sign outside Space Mountain At first, this felt a little over the top. I mean, it’s a roller coaster in the dark—how big of a deal could a phone be? Then I saw someone break the rule. And it completely changed how I feel about it. Here’s What Happened I was riding Space Mountain like usual. Buckled in, pouch secured, adrenaline fully activated. About halfway through, I saw this sudden BLAST of light a few rows ahead of me. At first, I thought maybe it was part of the ride? Nope. It was a phone flash—someone had pulled their phone out and snapped a selfie mid-ride. Space Mountain with the lights on That flash? It completely destroyed the moment. Space Mountain is designed to be totally dark, so your senses are heightened—you feel every twist and turn like you’re flying through space. When someone fires off a flash, it ruins the illusion for the people around them and totally breaks the vibe. It’s like turning the lights on during a haunted house. No thanks. Space Mountain with the lights on But it’s not just about the experience. That phone? It could’ve easily gone flying. Space Mountain isn’t a smooth, gentle ride—it jerks, it drops, it throws you around. There’s a reason Disney says phones need to be stored. It’s a real safety issue. Why the Rule Exists Disney made the no-phones-on-Space-Mountain rule for two solid reasons: Safety. Your phone flying out of your hands could hit someone, break, or get lost forever in the void of the ride’s guts. Immersion. This ride is built around darkness. Even one quick flash ruins the entire feel for everyone nearby. For a lot of guests, Space Mountain is a core memory kind of ride. If it’s your first time riding—or your fiftieth—you want to feel like you’re zooming through space. So starry! Not like you’re sitting next to someone doing a full-on iPhone photo shoot. We Get It—Photos Matter Look, we know people want to capture the magic. With rising trip costs, it makes sense that people want to snap their own memories. But Disney has tons of other places where you can safely (and beautifully) take photos—on rides like “it’s a small world,” Jungle Cruise, or even right before you board something more intense. Space Mountain on-ride photo Just not on Space Mountain. The Bottom Line If you’re heading to Magic Kingdom soon, just know: when the Cast Members remind you to store your phone before takeoff on Space Mountain, they really mean it. It’s not just about following rules for rules’ sake—it’s about making sure everyone has the best (and safest) time possible. Space Mountain It might feel annoying in the moment, but it’s worth it. Have you ever heard of Disney Lorcana? ©Disney Lorcana is Disney’s trading card game, and we are obsessed with it! Well, this lovely Disney Card game is celebrating its second anniversary, and to mark the occasion, they’re releasing a new set of cards called Fabled. Let’s dive in and learn all about the new set and when you can get your hands on it! Before we get too ahead of ourselves, Lorca is the super-popular Disney card game that debuted in 2023. Over the last two years, they’ve released 8 sets and more than 1,800 unique cards for fans to collect, play with, and build their deck. In case you’re not already familiar with Disney Lorcana, it’s a popular trading card game set in the wondrous realm of Lorcana. Players will take on the role of Illumineers who wield magic ink to summon a team of Disney characters known as glimmers, who appear in both familiar and fantastical ways. The game was designed to be easy to learn for TCG newcomers while still offering strategic depth for experienced players. Breea LOVES Lorcana! Now, in celebration of the two-year anniversary of the game, we have so many new things to look forward to! Starting off strong, the new release, Fabled, will pre-release on August 29th with the full release available on September 5th, 2025! The tag line for the new series is “Welcome to the story.” We’ve known this new release was coming, but we finally have more details. ©Lorcana Fabled will introduce two new card rarities! Iconic Cards will be even rarer than Enchanted cards, making them the rarest types of all when they release. There will only be 2 iconic cards featured in the Fabled set: Mickey (Brave Little Prince) and Minnie (Sweetheart Princess). ©Lorcana There’s also Epic rarities now, which will be rarer than legendaries and more common than enchanteds! As far as characters go, Dumbo will be new to Lorcana, introduced in Fabled. Two of those cards will be Dumbo the Flying Elephant and Timothy Q. Mouse, the flight instructor. Both of these cards are evasive! ©Lorcana Dumbo isn’t the only new character! Goofy Movie cards are also coming to Lorcana for Fabled! One of the new cards will be Powerline – The World’s Greatest Rockstar. There will also be action song cards inspired by the songs “Stand Out” and “Eye to Eye.” ©Lorcana For the “Stand Out” card, there will be an uncommon and epic version of this card, and this card will feature Max swinging in while wearing his Powerline outfit. ©Lorcana For the “Eye To Eye” card, there’ll be an enchanted version of this card, too, and this can be played with a “sing together 9” ability. ©Lorcana As far as returning cards go, there will be several cards reprinted from previous Lorcana sets, like Ursula’s Handiwork and Strength of a Raging Fire, just to name a few. According to Naomi Kim, the International Brand Manager, these cards are meant to break down between new and returning cards, “stabilize ink colors going forward,” as well as enhance your new cards/decks, too. ©Lorcana The Pooh Hunny Wizard will also be re-released as an enchanted card with new variant art. In total, there are 204 cards in the Fabled set, which is a little larger than other sets that Lorcana has released. Out of the 204 cards, there’ll be 33 mechanically new cards with higher rarities and stronger abilities! ©Lorcana In addition to the new set, the Ravensburger team is also making Disney Lorcana Puzzles! These will release on September 1st, with the first round available during Destination D23. This is the first wave of Lorcana puzzles (but they’re hoping there’s more to come in the future.) There will be 6 different puzzle options — one for each ink color — at 1,000 pieces each. ©Lorcana Each puzzle will feature a combination of artwork based around popular cards and characters from each ink type, plus each puzzle will also come with the Mickey Mouse – True Friend Promo Card. Each puzzle will cost $29.99! ©Lorcana That’s not all! Before the holiday season, two collector boxes will be released! The first is the Elsa Gift Box for $29.99. It will feature 5 booster packs, an Elsa Spirit Promo Card, and a card storage box with punch-out dividers. ©Lorcana There will also be a Four Pocket Lorcana portfolio, which will include 4 booster packs, a Tinkerbell Giant Fairy Promo Card, and a collector’s guide to help teach new players about the cards (or give veteran players a refresher). ©Lorcana After the Fabled release, Lorcana is entering a “mysterious phase.” Whispers in the Well invites you to “light your path” and solve a mystery of the ethereal whispers that have been uncovered in Lorcana. Nick Wilde and Judy Hops are jumping in as detectives in the Lorcana world! ©Lorcana The prerelease for this pack is set for November 7th, with the full release coming on November 14th! You can preorder this set now. Black Cauldron cards will be released in this new wave, as well as a new glimmer type called “whispers.” ©Lorcana HOLD UP! They aren’t done yet! Another new set is coming in Quarter 1 in 2026 called Winterspell. A NEW permit was filed for work to be done at the Tree of Life in Disney’s Animal Kingdom! Disney’s Animal Kingdom Currently, the Tree of Life Theater is being refurbished for a brand-new show debuting in the winter of 2025. We just spotted a new permit that could mean something exciting is coming SOON! You may be familiar with the Tree of Life Theater as the home of It’s Tough to Be a Bug! However, It’s Tough to Be a Bug! officially closed on March 17th, 2025, to make way for a new experience. That new experience is a brand-new show called Zootopia: Better Zoogether! The show will “take guests on an adventure through different biomes seen in the film.” ©Disney Construction walls are up around the Tree of Life Theater as construction continues to bring this new show of life, and a NEW permit was recently filed that we are very excited about! Walt Disney Imagineering filed a permit on July 29th, 2025, to install signage at an address that matches the Tree of Life in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Animal Kingdom construction The signage will be installed by the Jon Richards Company FL, Inc. While the permit does not indicate exactly what signage is being installed, it is still an exciting step for the new show. We will continue to keep an eye on the construction, and potentially some new signage going up in the area! Construction Walls by Tree of Life Zootopia: Better Zoogether! is just one of the construction projects that is in progress in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Work is also well underway on the new Tropical Americas-themed land, Pueblo Esperanza. This new land will feature two signature attractions, a carousel, and one of the largest quick-service restaurants at Disney World. The two signature attractions will be an Encanto ride featuring the Madrigal family and a new Indiana Jones adventure ride. It’s certainly not news that people are LOVING Universal’s brand-new theme park, Epic Universe (it’s us, we’re “people”). WELCOME to Epic Universe! With five immersive lands, incredible theming, exciting entertainment, stellar attractions, and more, it’s no wonder this land is getting so much love. And, in a recent Comcast earnings call (the parent company of Universal), it was revealed that Epic Universe is responsible for more spending at Universal Orlando. Comcast recently held its second-quarter earnings call for fiscal year 2025, and we learned just how much of an impact the opening of Epic Universe has had on the company. During the call, Comcast executives said that Epic Universe was responsible for higher per capita spending at Universal Orlando Resort, and is “trending in line with expectations.” ©Comcast In addition, second-quarter theme park revenue increased by 18.9%. Theme park profit surged 26% to $1.7 billion on revenue, up 19% to $2.3 billion. But, it wasn’t just theme parks that drove revenue, as studio profit and revenue rose 8% and 5.3%, respectively. The newly released live-action How to Train Your Dragon has grossed over $600 million at the worldwide box office. Isle of Berk in Epic Universe As of now, Annual Passes cannot be used for admission to Epic Universe — only single-day and multi-day tickets are available. Not only that, but since it’s a brand-new theme park, visitors are more likely to spend money on souvenirs and upgraded experiences to commemorate their trips — and we definitely don’t blame them! Would you visit a theme park built by former Disney Imagineers? Well, despite what we once thought, you might not end up getting the chance. ©American Heartland Back in 2023, we learned that a new, $2 billion theme park resort project was being developed by former Disney Imagineers in Oklahoma. However, a year passed, and we began to grow concerned about the project. And now, a key investor in the American Heartland theme park is suing the developers. A major investor in the proposed American Heartland Theme Park has sued its developers, accusing them of defrauding him of millions of dollars, according to KOSU. Gene Bicknell, 92, has filed suit with the help of Attorneys Amelia Fogleman and Joseph Lang of GableGotwals. ©American Heartland The suit accuses three defendants — Richard Silanskas Jr., Stephen Hedrick, and Larry Wilhite — of running a “criminal enterprise” that manipulated Bicknell into providing more than $60 million of the proposed $2.5 billion project. A majority of the claims are against Wilhite and Silanskas, who allegedly defrauded Bicknell by “impersonating God and religious figures through hundreds of electronic messages.” ©American Heartland The lawsuit reads: “Silanskas and Wilhite made Gene believe that God Himself was commanding Gene to infuse ever more cash into the project and to trust them completely with its management…For years, those electronic messages preyed upon Gene’s devout Christian faith and admonished Gene to obey ‘God’s’ will without doubts or second-guessing.” ©American Heartland The messages advised Bicknell to follow the directions of Silanskas and Wilhite by funding the project. One message reportedly read, “TRUST THEM COMPLETELY AND AVOID INSERTING ANY DISTRACTIONS OR DOUBTFUL QUESTIONS.” Bicknell’s lawyers stated he believed the messages were coming from God. “This is God’s plan. Not mine,” he reportedly told a friend. ©American Heartland The suit alleges that Silanskas and Wilhite used the biblical concept of a “triune” or “Holy Trinity” to convince Bicknell to divide ownership evenly between them, despite their lack of investment in it. Other messages were sent from an email account belonging to a fictional “Sister Catherine” that allegedly told Bicknell to withstand “demonic attacks” from critics, including his family members. ©American Heartland In late 2023, Bicknell texted Silanskas and Wilhite that he was bankrupt. He wrote, “No where to go. I’m basically broke. If this goes on without revenue. I’m bankrupt just letting you know. I’m still positive of this happening but I can’t do it any more.” ©American Heartland According to the initial renderings, the American Heartland resort was going to span 1,000 acres in Vinita, Oklahoma, and include a 125-acre theme park roughly the size of Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, plus a water park, a large RV park with cabins, a dinner theatre, an amphitheater, a swimming pool, a clubhouse, and more. ©American Heartland The development team includes over a dozen former Disney employees with experience in special effects, technical design, entertainment, and more — none of whom are involved in the lawsuit. If you’re planning to stay at a Disney World Resort during your next vacation to The Most Magical Place on Earth, you’ll need to read this tidbit before booking. Disney’s Port Orleans — Riverside We’re always keeping track of construction updates throughout the parks and the resorts (have you seen the chaos happening at the Grand Floridian?), and while we’ve been watching this one for a few months, it looks like we’re going to be watching it for a bit longer than we thought. Construction at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — Riverside started in May and will continue through February 2026! It was initially listed for January but got pushed back a month. Construction The construction is happening in the rooms in the Magnolia Bend, and guests may be able to hear and see construction during the day hours. Construction The rest of the resort is fully operating, and you won’t have to deal with any area or amenities closures. This is great because if you’re staying at a Disney World Resort and not using their pool, you’re missing out. They’re great ways to relax, cool down from the heat, and take a break from the parks. It’s Scales the sea serpent! During your rest in the parks, you’ll need some food, right? We love Boatwright’s Dining Hall for a casual meal and a drink from River Roost for the full Louisiana vibes. Pimento Cheese Fritters While you’re at Riverside, you should also head on over to the sister resort, Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter. You’ll find delicious beignets (and most likely me listening to live music and eating beignets), and don’t forget to check out the pool here, too. BEIGNETS Even though there is construction happening, Port Orleans — Riverside might still be an incredible option for your family. A cheeseburger-flavored Disney snack? SIGN US UP! California Adventure Isn’t it just THE BEST when a fan-favorite Disney treat returns to the parks?! That’s exactly what happened over at Disney California Adventure, where we visited to try the returning Cheeseburger Bao! Not too dissimilar to the uber-popular Cheeseburger Pods from Satu’li Canteen at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the Cheesburger Bao has a lot of the same ingredients. Cheeseburger Bao Sometimes offered at Disney California Adventure’s festivals, the Cheeseburger Bao is available RIGHT NOW at select food carts around the park. We picked up ours at the snack cart by Incredicoaster. This $9 snack is made with Thousand Island and pickle & tomato relish. However, we have to note that our snack was not served with the relish. There it is! We were kind of disappointed that it didn’t come as advertised, but what really matters is the taste. The first taste you get is from the plastic cheese on top. If you’re a fan of plastic cheese, that should make you smile. If not…you may be put off. The inside has a light and tangy pickle taste, followed by the seasoned ground beef. As for the bun, we really liked its fluffy texture and subtle sweet flavor. Inside the bao The Thousand Island comes on the side and adds a bit of a creamy and tangy taste when dipping the bao. Thousand Island Overall, we still think the Cheeseburger Bao is a yummy snack. If you dig cheeseburgers in general, give this a try! Our major gripes include not getting a bao that looks as advertised (we might’ve just been unlucky), we don’t find this snack particularly filling, and it’s a bit overpriced. There’s something weirdly magical about having a Disney World monorail car all to yourself. Walt Disney World Monorail It’s quiet. It’s air-conditioned. And for a few blissful minutes, you feel like you’ve unlocked a secret level of Disney travel. But if you’ve ever tried to snag a private monorail ride, you know it’s not exactly easy. So today we’re sharing the when, where, and how of catching an empty monorail — because yes, it can happen, and yes, it will absolutely make your day better. Timing Is Everything Here’s the deal: you’re not getting an empty monorail in the morning. Period. Monorail crowds Between early birds racing to rope drop and families hopping between hotels and parks, the monorails are basically people movers with no chill until well into the afternoon. Even when park hopping kicks off at 2PM, the trains stay pretty busy for a while. But by around 4PM? That’s when the magic starts to happen. Inside a monorail We’ve had the most success snagging an empty car right around that late afternoon lull. People are either mid-park-hopping or taking a break at their hotel, and for a short window of time, the monorail platforms get noticeably quieter. Not All Lines Are Created Equal If you’re hoping for a quiet ride, skip the EPCOT line. Seriously, don’t even bother. That one’s packed all day. Magic Kingdom and EPCOT are constantly bouncing people back and forth, and the monorails reflect that. Doesn’t matter if it’s 11AM or 5PM — the EPCOT line is a hot mess. EPCOT Your best shot is the Resort Line, hands down. Not only does it have a more laid-back crowd, but most people are just doing quick hops between Magic Kingdom and the nearby resorts, so the cars turn over more frequently. Resort Monorail We’ve also had a few surprise wins on the Express Line that runs between the TTC and Magic Kingdom, but again, wait until after 4PM for your best odds. Where You Stand Matters Most guests don’t think twice about where they stand on the platform. They get in line, wait their turn, and enter whatever door is in front of them. That’s great news for you. Make sure you know which Monorail train to get on The middle of the train fills up fast. That’s where people tend to cluster — they’re tired, they want the fastest route into the car, and they’re not paying attention to what’s happening down the platform. So your move? Head to either end. Monorail Walk all the way to the front or back of the monorail. It might take an extra minute, but you’re giving yourself a serious shot at finding a completely empty car. We’ve done this multiple times and walked right into a car with no one in it, just because everyone else piled in the middle. It’s one of those small Disney wins that feels huge in the moment. Stay Alert and Be Ready to Move This one might sound obvious, but it matters: walk the train while it’s in the station. If doors are open and people haven’t started loading yet, take a peek inside the cars as you go. Sometimes a car near the end is totally empty — and you just have to go for it. Disney World Monorail This isn’t a moment to hesitate. If you see an empty car, grab it. Sit down. Claim your space. Once those doors open, it’s fair game, and people will start filing in. But if you’re already seated and settled, there’s a decent chance other guests will just move to the next car. Inside a monorail And if — if — you manage to score both sides of the car for just your group? That’s a straight-up Disney miracle. It doesn’t happen often, but when it does, it’s basically transportation royalty status. The Vibe Is Immaculate Look, we get it — it’s just a monorail. But there’s something about stretching out across the seats, not hearing anyone else’s stroller wheels clattering, and gliding above Seven Seas Lagoon in total peace that just hits different. You’ve gotta grab these empty cars when you can Especially in the summer, when the AC is working hard and the parks are packed, taking five minutes to chill in an empty monorail car can totally reset your day. It’s like your own little bubble of calm before diving back into the chaos of park life. Quick Recap of Our Top Tips: Shoot for after 4PM. Earlier than that, it’s usually too busy. Stick to the Resort Line for your best shot. Express Line is a backup. EPCOT line is a no-go. Walk to the ends of the platform — front or back of the train is where the empty cars hide. Keep your eyes open and check cars as the train loads. Act fast if you see one. Claim your spot before the crowds show up.
