Disney World offers a litany of hotel options across its property, with accommodations ranging from Value Tier family hotels to luxurious Deluxe hotels. However, when it comes to transportation, not every Disney World hotel is created equal. Skyliner at Riviera Over my 30 years of visiting Disney World, I’ve come to realize that available transportation options are nearly as important when choosing a hotel as theme and amenities. That’s why I’ve assembled this, ranking the resort’s hotel options based on best to worst based SOLEY on transportation options. So let’s begin… 1. Disney Contemporary Resort One of Disney’s opening day hotels takes the top spot, based almost entirely on its iconic Monorail station — which resides INSIDE the building — and takes guests to the doorstep of the Magic Kingdom within minutes. EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach, and Disney Springs are all accessible via bus. The resort also offers Water Taxi transportation. Disney’s Contemporary Resort 2. Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Number 2 on the list is Disney’s OTHER opening day resort, the Polynesian. The Poly, as many refer to it, offers the same transportation options as the Contemporary, as well as water transportation. So, what gives the Contemporary the slight edge? The route through the buildings, Grand Canyon Concourse, can’t be beat. Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is a Deluxe Resort 3. Disney’s Riviera Resort From Disney World’s two oldest hotels to its newest, next we’re at the Riviera Resort. While this hotel provides bus service to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach, and Disney Springs, its transportation claim to fame is serving as the hub of the Disney Skyliner Gondola system. The hotel’s station provides direct routes to both Hollywood Studios and EPCOT’s International Gateway. Skyliner 4. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa Back to the Magic Kingdom Resort Area, the Grand Floridian offers essentially the same transportation options as the Contemporary and the Polynesian, but is docked slightly for being further from the Magic Kingdom. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort 5. Disney’s Pop Century Resort & Disney’s Art of Animation Resort (TIE) In addition to bus service to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach, and Disney Springs, Art of Animation and Pop Century share a Skyliner station, meaning that the resorts provide a Deluxe Level perk at Value Tier prices. Disney Skyliner at Art of Animation and Pop Century Resorts 6. Disney’s Wilderness Lodge The Wilderness Lodge provides bus service to EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach, and Disney Springs, as well as boat and ferry service to the Magic Kingdom. Wilderness Lodge Lobby 7. Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort Disney’s campground — which has been open since Walt Disney World’s second month of operation– provides similar transportation options to Wilderness Lodge. The Fort Wilderness Campsite 8. Disney’s BoardWalk Inn The Boardwalk provides bus service to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, and Disney Springs, as well as boat service to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. Plus, there’s even a direct walking path to EPCOT. Disney’s BoardWalk 9. Disney’s Beach Club Resort & Disney’s Yacht Club Resort (TIE) The Yacht and Beach Club Resorts provide similar transportation options to the Boardwalk. Yacht Club Lighthouse 10. Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort The Caribbean Beach Resort provides bus service to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach, and Disney Springs, and Skyliner service to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. However, it’s a bit lower than the other Skyliner hotels thanks to the inter-hotel transportation issues. Skyliner at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort 11. Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort Cornado Springs is a bus-only resort, providing bus service to each of the resort’s theme parks, water parks, and Disney Springs. Coronado Springs 12. Disney’s Old Key West Resort, Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, & Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter & Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside (TIE) These four resorts each feature bus service to the resort’s four theme parks and water parks, and water service connecting them to Disney Springs through the Sassagoula River Cruise watercraft. Port Orleans Sassagoula 13. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge While the Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of the most unique hotels on Disney World property, it’s also in a bit of a transportation desert. It’s only serviced by buses and located far from nearly everything else on property. Animal Kingdom Lodge — Kidani Village 14. Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort & Disney’s All-Star Music Resort & Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort (TIE) Finally, the three All-Star Resorts come in last. Each of the three are serviced by buses, usually with long waits due to its distance from most of the rest of Disney property. All-Star Sports Bus Stop While you probably shouldn’t base your Disney World hotel choice ONLY on transportation, it’s definitely something you should take into consideration! By the castle facing down Main Street The private event typically includes exclusive access to select attractions, complimentary food and beverages, and entertainment — we wish we could join in for the fun! Magic Kingdom Magic Kingdom will still have its early entry at 8:30 AM for hotel guests, and its usual 9 AM opening. If you want to visit the park on that day, consider getting Park Hopper tickets. Loungefly Disney Mickey & Friends Halloween Costume Mini Backpack ©Amazon Halloween at Disney is always a whole vibe, and this bag captures it perfectly. This mini backpack shows Mickey and his pals dressed up in their Halloween costumes while trick-or-treating. Adorable autumn details like pumpkins, ivy, and leaves are scattered across the bag, including on the straps and pockets. If you want a bag that screams “spooky season at Disney,” this is the one to grab. ©Loungefly This is the kind of bag you’ll want to carry during Disney’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party—it’s cheerful, fun, and perfect for pairing with a simple Halloween tee and ears. Plus, it’s roomy enough to stash candy from all the treat trails if you’re heading to Magic Kingdom for spooky festivities. View on Amazon Loungefly Disney Mickey Mouse Floral Pumpkin Head Glow Figural Crossbody Bag ©Amazon If your Halloween style leans more toward a statement piece, this one is it. The entire crossbody looks like a giant Mickey pumpkin, glowing face and all. His smile lights up in the dark, which makes this the bag you’ll definitely want for evenings in the park when the Halloween lights start twinkling. ©Loungefly The candy corn and pumpkin print across the bag ties it together with a playful vibe, and the pumpkin-shaped ears just scream fall fashion. Pair this with an oversized sweater, leggings, and boots, and you’ll have the perfect pumpkin-patch-meets-Disney outfit. View on Amazon Loungefly Disney Minnie Mouse Cosplay Floral Pumpkin Glow Mini Backpack ©Amazon This glow-in-the-dark backpack is every “spooky cute” fan’s dream. Minnie is peeking out from behind a jack-o’-lantern candy bowl (which doubles as the front pocket), and the candy corn-and-pumpkin print spreads across the rest of the bag. Even her bow is decked out in the festive design. ©Loungefly Imagine carrying this one at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party or during a fall photo shoot in front of Cinderella Castle with pumpkins decorating Main Street, U.S.A.—it’s Insta-ready without any effort. Since it glows, it’ll also stand out at night, making it a great accessory for both day and after-dark park hopping. View on Amazon Minnie Mouse Orange Loungefly Mini Backpack – Pumpkin Spice ©Amazon Pumpkin spice lovers, this one was made for you. The quilted orange design looks cozy and textured, and it’s topped with a sparkly faux leather bow that even comes pumpkin-scented. Yes, you read that right—it smells like pumpkin spice. This is one of those bags you’ll want to carry to your local pumpkin patch, corn maze, or even just to Starbucks for a PSL. Pair it with a plaid scarf and a latte in hand, and you’ll basically be living the fall Pinterest board life. View on Disney Store Maleficent Loungefly Mini Backpack – Sleeping Beauty ©Amazon Villains fans, rejoice. This Maleficent Loungefly is covered in soft velvet and simulated leather with embroidered roses and thorny details. The Mistress of All Evil herself appears on the front with her horns standing tall. It’s dramatic, stylish, and has the perfect gothic vibe for spooky season. Carry this one and you’ll be serving villain chic all fall long. View on Disney Store The Skeleton Dance Glow-in-the-Dark Loungefly Mini Backpack ©Amazon If you’re a Disney history buff, this one might be your favorite. Inspired by the 1929 Silly Symphony short The Skeleton Dance, the bag features skeletons, owls, bats, and black cats. The best part? One of the skeletons is jointed and actually moves when you carry the bag. Add the glow-in-the-dark details, and it’s basically wearable Disney nostalgia. ©Amazon This backpack would be such a fun conversation starter in the parks, since not everyone has seen The Skeleton Dance. Pair it with a vintage-inspired tee or a skeleton costume for Halloween, and you’ll be serving Disney fan cred and spooky vibes all in one. View on Disney Store Disney Minnie Mouse Velvet Floral Interchangeable Ears Mini Backpack ©Amazon This one is less about spooky season and more about year-round versatility. The mini backpack is covered in velvet with embroidered flowers and an applique bow, but the star feature is the interchangeable magnetic ears. You get two different floral ear sets, which means you can swap them out depending on your mood or outfit. ©Amazon Think of it as the ultimate park bag—it doubles as a backpack and a built-in pair of Minnie ears. This could save you space in your suitcase if you’re trying to pack light for your next Disney trip. ©Amazon Plus, it’s stylish enough to wear outside the parks for a subtle Disney touch. Quick! What’s the first thing you need to do when you visit EPCOT during the 2025 Food and Wine Festival? If you said, “Grab a passport,” congrats! You win. For all the newbies out there — don’t worry — we don’t mean your actual passport. These are handy (and free) booklets to help you navigate your way around this fun foodie fest, with info on all of the Global Marketplace Food Booths, entertainment options, and beyond. It’s time! We spotted a display packed full of EPCOT Food and Wine Festival Passports, so you KNOW we picked one up! There’s LOTS to see, so let’s take this passport page by page, shall we? First things first: When you visit EPCOT for your own Food and Wine Festival adventures, you can pick up a passport at a display just after passing through either of the park’s entrances or at any of the Festival Food Booths in the park. If you have trouble finding them, just ask a nearby Cast Member. 2025 Passport The opening pages WELCOME you — literally! — to the EPCOT Food and Fine Festival! The Welcome section breaks down a few specifics about the Festival (like all you need to know about the Global Marketplaces and the Eat to the Beat Concert Series). Welcome! There’s even a QR code so you can check out the Allergy-friendly festival menus. How handy! Find the Allergy-Friendly Menus with help from the QR Code in your Passport! Up next is an overview of a few Festival activities that anyone can enjoy! These include brief overviews of the Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak Scavenger Hunt and Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit (which is available for a limited time for the Halloween season). Activities The Disney Festival Gift Card wristlet is also featured. We love these gift cards for TWO reasons: First, they are available for amounts starting at $15 (and are reloadable), so they can help you set and stick within a budget while you’re exploring the Food Booths. And second, since they strap to your wrist, you don’t have to juggle other payment methods while trying to carry things like your phone and, of course, the Passport itself! The Passport will also let you know where you can find this year’s Festival merchandise collections. We’ve got our eyes on the new Minnie ears — anyone else? (Oh, and psst: Disney World Annual Passholders are also eligible to purchase exclusive items!) Merchandise Okay, NOW we’re getting to the good stuff. The bulk of the passport contains each festival Food Booth, complete with its full menu. Here’s an example of the pages for Earth Eats and Joffrey’s food booths. Booths! Here’s a look at Japan and Greece food booths. More food! We’re SO ready to dig into these eats and drinks at the Italy and Flavors of America booths! YUM And if you are planning to participate in the Festival’s beloved CHEESE CRAWL — Emile’s Fromage Montage— then you’ll definitely want to pay attention to these pages. (In fact, the passport is REQUIRED for Fromage Montage participants, so be sure to store it in a safe place in your park bag so you don’t lose it!) 2025 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival Passport You see, whenever you purchase an item that is eligible as part of the Crawl, a Cast Member will stamp your passport when you place your item order as proof that you have purchased an eligible item. If you collect five stamps, then you can head to the Shimmering Sips booth to collect your free prize! So, be sure to grab that Festival Passport, my friends, and get to eating, sipping, and ENJOYING everything this year at the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival! Let’s go! Thanks so much for joining us on the very first day of our FAVORITE EPCOT Festival! We can’t wait to share LOTS more with you today and throughout the rest of the FEST! So Epic Universe has been open for a little while now, and we’ve had a chance to try all of the amazing restaurants you’ll find throughout its five lands. However, there are still some things we HAVEN’T tried, and well, if you’ve been following us for a while, we’re completionists — we want to eat and drink EVERYTHING on the menu. So we recently returned to Burning Blade Tavern in Dark Universe to grab some new-to-us food and drinks. So what did we think? Well, we’ll tell you! So Dark Universe is dedicated to all the classic Universal monsters, and Burning Blade Tavern pays homage to the 1931 Universal classic film Frankenstein. The concept is that the restaurant is an old mill where Darkmoor’s village monster hunters hang out. Yep, this is a place for monster hunters. So we put our monster hunting cap on and re-visited the restaurant! The Burning Blade Tavern We decided to grab some food, so ordered the Staked Grilled Chicken for $11.49. It’s a char-crusted chicken skewer with garlic naan, garlic tzatziki sauce, shaved cabbage, and salsa roja. All we can say is that Dark Universe does chicken right. This is basically the same chicken skewer at Das Steakhouse, but it’s got a little less seasoning. But it’s still got a great flavor. We also love how it goes with the naan plus it’s a handheld snack. Staked Grilled Chicken The tzatziki sauce is a little tangy, while the salsa roja adds a bit of freshness and zest. However, if you’re worried that this is spicy, it IS NOT. All the ingredients come together nicely. It’s also a light enough meal that it won’t weigh you down on a hot park day. It’s a good portion size for lunch, though, and this might just be our lunch again someday! Chicken done right Okay, let’s talk about some drinks. We needed to try more DRINKS at Burning Blade Tavern, and that’s just what we did. First, the Hyde’s Reagent for $15, which we promise won’t turn you into a monster. It’s made with Cazadores Añejo Cristalino tequila, Gran Gala, DeKuyper Crème de Cassis, Sūpāsawā, simple syrup, and chipotle essence. It’s served in a test tube, which is SO fun. There’s just one problem…it tastes like cough syrup. Just YUCK. It’s an overtly sweet heavy liquor drink that just doesn’t work for us. Hyde’s Reagent Staying on brand, we also tried Jekyll’s Remedy for $15 made with New Amsterdam vodka, Bols peach schnapps, Sūpāsawā, cardamom, and clove tinctures. Although this, too, is on brand with Dark Universe, it just tastes like a different flavored cough syrup. I guess the idea is that they’re supposed to taste medicinal? Like these drinks look fun so might be worth it for the presentation, but we wouldn’t drink it again. But then again, we often drink shots that don’t taste good, so… Jekyll’s Remedy Okay, on to the next drink. The Lagoon’ita for $16.25 is made with BACARDI Superior, Pallini limoncello, lime, blackberry purée, blackberries, and a mint sprig. This one surprised us. It does NOT taste like Black Lagoon water it’s name suggests. Instead, it’s a nice, light drink with a not-so-sweet blackberry flavor. It’s very balanced, and the liquor isn’t overpowering. But really, LOOK at this presentation. Like this is SO cool with the moss and the greenish-black color. Very on theme. It looks like a swampy lagoon Okay, one more drink to go. It’s the My Only Weakness made with Hayman’s London Dry gin, Aperol, Bols cherry brandy, lemon juice, simple syrup, Angostura aromatic bitters, Angostura orange bitters, soda water, lemon wheel, and a cherry for $16.25. It’s got a whole Aperol spritz kind of vibe. It’s not quite as bitter as an Aperol spritz, but there’s a touch of bitterness at the end of each sip. It’s got nice fruity and citrus flavors, though, on the first sip. My Only Weakness It’s another well-balanced drink, but you do get hit with that bitterness at the end, so if that’s not your thing, you’ll want to pass. The presentation with the lemon wheel and cherry makes it look like a monster eye, so it’s got some fun theming, too. We’ll be back soon with even MORE reviews, so stay tuned to DFB for more. Before you head on a Disney World vacation, you need to know what your options are as far as dining goes. And that’s particularly important when it comes to dining at your hotel! Let’s grab a bite! You’ll want to know what you can find to eat in the morning before you hit the parks, as a late-night option when you’re ready to have a snack and collapse in bed, or a midday meal during your day chilling at the hotel. For those staying at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, there’s one quick service spot that we’re going to put on your radar — a place where you can have a meal, snag a specialty coffee, or enjoy a FROYO BAR. Oh yeah, that’s right! Atmosphere For this review, we’re heading to Fuel at the Walt Disney World Dolphin. This hotel is located in the EPCOT resort area, but it’s owned by Marriott. The great thing about staying here is that this group of hotels gets many Disney Resort perks. And today, we’re here to show you what’s in store with their dining options! Fuel Fuel is located indoors on the second floor of the resort. You’ll need to go inside the back entrance and go up the escalator, or you can enter through the main entrance and come out directly into the second-floor lobby. Insie Fuel Fuel is part coffee shop, part quick service restaurant, part convenience store. It’s a rather interesting setup! They have a counter where you can order hot food, pastries, and specialty beverages. There’s also a section of the restaurant where you can pick up some grab-and-go options! They have prepackaged snacks, bottled drinks, and more. They even have a Coca-Cola Freestyle machine in here! Fuel setup But one of the big draws to Fuel is its frozen yogurt bar! They have multiple options, but one of the biggest draws is DOLE WHIP! Froyo Station! And once you’ve got all your food, you can dine here at the restaurant’s small seating area, or you can find a spot to sit in the lobby. But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?! Menu On the menu, you’ll find a variety of options beyond the prepackaged items available for purchase. First, there’s an entire menu of specialty coffee beverages that you can order. Lots of coffee! There’s also an entire Breakfast menu available. Breakfast And we can’t forget the Sandwiches! Sandwiches Cheese and Pepperoni Pizzas are also available after 5 PM. Pizza There’s also a large list of Pastries and Desserts available (with a personal favorite quote of ours: “Life is short. Eat dessert first.” Pastries and Desserts And now, onto the main event — the food! Eats First up, we grabbed the French Connection for $14. This is made with shaved ham, fresh chevre, and fig jam on a croissant. French Connection The amount of ham on this is WILD — easily an inch to an inch and a half thick — but the layer of cheese was pretty thin. We didn’t totally mind that, but if you’re looking for more of a balanced flavor, it’s something to keep in mind. The jam adds some great sweetness, but it does make the sandwich a little messy, and we enjoyed how soft and fluffy the croissant is, although we do think it could have been the slightest big fresher. TONS of ham! Of course, we also had to try out the Frozen Yogurt and Dole Whip station, and we grabbed a mix of the two. There are six flavors available here: Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry, New York Cheesecake, Caramel Corn, and Pineapple Dole Whip. You can pick 1-2 flavors, and there are 10 different toppings to choose from. Pineapple Dole Whip and New York Cheesecake Frozen Yogurt We grabbed the Pineapple Dole Whip and New York Cheesecake frozen yogurt, and topped it with rainbow sprinkles and toasted nuts. It made a flavor similar to a tropical cheesecake, which we loved! The Dole Whip was exactly what you’d expect from normal Dole Whip, though we do think it could have used a bit more creaminess, and the New York Cheesecake frozen yogurt had a fantastic cream cheese flavor to it. Yum! These blended together perfectly, and we love that this station allows you to create your own sweet treat, in a way! Drinks To drink, we picked up the Iced Caramel Chai Latte for $7.55. Iced Caramel Chai Latte There’s an entire coffee bar in this spot where you can customize your drink with different syrups and flavors. However, you really need to mix your drink up, because all our syrup fell to the bottom, and before we mixed it up, it was super watered down and flavorless. Once we DID mix it, though, the caramel flavor came through, and it paired very well with the chai. Be sure to mix it up! It wasn’t our favorite chai we’ve had in the parks, but it was pretty solid! Nosh or Not This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if… You’re staying at the Swan and Dolphin or in the area You’re trying to appease a large group of people You want Dole Whip on tap You should skip this Disney World spot if… You’re not over near the Swan and Dolphin resort You want to dine at a sit-down restaurant You want a restaurant that has plenty of seating directly connected to it Overall This is a great spot for those looking for a variety of different options, and/or just need something quick. If you need a pick-me-up before heading into the parks, or maybe you want a bite to eat later in the day, this is a great choice. Our meal! In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant updates from Disney World and beyond. Make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more! Airplane schedules are changing all the time, and if you’re flying to Florida, it can be frustrating trying to keep up with all the changes. ©JetBlue Of course, some of those changes are good, like when more nonstop flights get added to Orlando International Airport, making getting to Disney World and Universal Orlando a lot easier. But sometimes, flights get cut, meaning you’ll have to search a little harder for a nonstop flight to your destination. Well, one budget airline, JetBlue, just cut flights to two airports, including a Florida city. According to TheStreet.com, JetBlue has cut the twice-daily flights between Newark and Tampa starting on December 1st. So if you were planning on traveling to Tampa from Newark on or after that date, you’ll need to find another airline to take you there. ©Getty Images JetBlue has been reassessing many of its routes recently due to weaker travel demand and revenues that have been below expectations. This is one of several routes that have been cut, including Baltimore, Charlotte, and Bogota, Colombia. However, there’s some good news to go with the bad. The route will return in April 2026 for the spring break and summer travel season. So what happens if you’ve already booked travel on a flight on JetBlue from airports on or after those dates? Well, although JetBlue has not officially confirmed the flight cuts, you should receive an automatic refund. If you booked in a fare class that doesn’t get the automatic refund, you’ll want to submit a claim through JetBlue’s website. ©JetBlue Stay tuned to DFB for more. Disney World trips mean long days, lots of walking, and carrying around everything you (and usually everyone else in your family) need. ©Amazon Enter: Disney Grandmas. They know how to do Disney right. Snacks? Check. Sunscreen? Check. Extra ponchos, water bottles, and even band-aids? Absolutely. But what’s really catching our eye right now are the park bags these Disney Grandmas are rocking on their trips. Functional, comfy, and surprisingly stylish—these are the real MVPs of the parks. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. First, it’s designed with plus-size comfort in mind, with an adjustable strap that expands up to 60 inches. That means no awkward squeezing or uncomfortable fit—it works whether you wear it around your waist or crossbody style. ©Target What makes this bag stand out? The pockets. Three zippered compartments give you enough room for your phone, wallet, park tickets, snacks, and even a small poncho. Disney Grandmas love this one because it keeps everything organized and accessible while still being lightweight enough to wear all day. It’s durable nylon, so it holds up against Florida’s unpredictable weather, too. View on Target Premium Belt Bag – All In Motion ©Target For the grandma who wants something sleek but functional, this All In Motion Belt Bag is the perfect pick. There’s a main pocket plus an interior phone section and an exterior pocket, which makes grabbing your stuff quick and easy. We’ve noticed Disney Grandmas love this one because it’s low-profile and stylish, but still super practical. It works just as well at the parks as it does running errands at home. View on Target JanSport Adaptive Accessory Bag ©Target Sometimes, Disney Grandmas just need an extra bag that can clip onto anything, and the JanSport Adaptive Accessory Bag is exactly that. There are SO many options for dining on Disney World property, but you can also find some fantastic options just outside of Disney World! If you are willing to make a short drive from Disney World, you can explore so many amazing dining options nearby. Four Flamingos One of those dining options is the Four Flamingos – A Richard Blais Florida Kitchen. This is the first Florida restaurant from Celebrity Chef Richard Blais, featuring cuisine inspired by Florida’s seasonal flavors. The menu is constantly changing, and we recently stopped by for one of their special events! We recently had the opportunity to head to Four Flamingos for a Hard Truth Cocktail Class. This class explored the art of crafting exquisite cocktails at Four Flamingos, featuring bourbon, whiskey, and rye paired with food. We learned about techniques and explored ingredients with Four Flamingos’ Chief Mixologist, Macarena Portales, and Hard Truth Distilling’s Master Sommelier. There was even a guest appearance by Richard Blais, who is the owner of Four Flamingos. Four Flamingos Cocktail Class The Four Flamingos is located inside the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress and is open nightly from 5 PM until 10 PM. The restaurant is located just up the road from Disney Springs (about a 10-minute drive) and could be a great option for a sit-down restaurant after a day at the theme parks or if you are looking to celebrate a special occasion. The restaurant usually has walk-up availability and offers complimentary valet and self-parking for diners. Four Flamingos This class was the first in a series of special events that Four Flamingos will be hosting throughout the remainder of the year. Upcoming classes include: Bacardi Cocktail Class (September 26th, 3 PM -4 PM): focusing on rum and Florida-inspired ingredients Wine Tasting Dinner (October 1st, 6:30 PM): a specially curated five-course dinner featuring pairings with The Prisoner wines Espresso Martini Class (November 28th, 3 PM -4 PM): fall twists on the classic cocktail in celebration of Espresso Martini Month Holiday Cocktail Class (December 19th, 3 PM -4 PM): learn about holiday classics with assistance from Santa and his helpers You can find more details about these events and book tickets when available on the Four Flamingos website. Additionally, there are some other exciting things happening at Four Flamingos! Chef Richard Blais will be at the restaurant from September 8th -10th Magical Dining runs through September 30th, where you can enjoy a three-course, prix-fixe dinner for $60 featuring Four Flamingos dishes like spiny lobster bisque, red grouper, and dulce de leche crème brûlée Happy Hour happens every day from 5 PM -6 PM, and Flamingo Hour happens every day from 9 PM -10 PM Four Flamingos is also taking reservations for holiday events and parties Hard Truth Cocktail Class is just the beginning! Now, let’s get to the main reason we are here: drinks and food! During this cocktail class we went through and learned about four different drinks (plus a secret menu drink!) and tasted a coordinating dish with each of the four drinks. Let’s dive in! Drink tasting! With each tasting, you get a pour of one of the Hard Truth whiskeys, bourbons, or ryes, and it was served with a dish. Each pour came served in the same glass and you got a good amount! Each tasting came in one of these! We started with the Sweet Mash Rye paired with Grilled Peach and Goat Cheese Brûlée Salad Honey Truffle Vinaigrette. The salad is a modified version of a salad you can get on their normal menu. When this salad was paired with the Sweet Mash Rye, the rye tasted very sweet with a toasted marshmallow or caramel kind of flavor. It is not super smoky, and it has a very pleasant flavor. Sweet Mash Rye with Grilled Peach and Goat Cheese Brûlée Salad Honey Truffle Vinaigrette On the salad, it has fresh leafy greens and some crunchy seeds. We thought the grilled peaches were absolutely divine, and overall thought this salad was fresh tasting and delicious. It is definitely giving us summer vibes! Grilled Peach and Goat Cheese Brûlée Salad Honey Truffle Vinaigrette Next up, we tried the High Road Rye paired with Maple & Black Pepper Spice Country Style Ribs. This rye tasted a bit more bitter than the Sweet Mash Rye. We also tasted a more wooden taste; however, this one didn’t have as much of a bite as the Sweet Mash Rye. It still has that burn, but it wasn’t as intense as our first drink. High Road Rye with Maple & Black Pepper Spice Country Style Ribs The ribs were boneless ribs that had a nice layer of fat on them. The seasoning was well spiced with a bit of sweetness. You can really taste the black pepper spice, and the maple brought a great amount of sweetness to balance. The ribs were sitting on an apricot slaw that added a wonderful crunch without overpowering the ribs. The ribs and High Road Rye paired well. Maple & Black Pepper Spice Country Style Ribs Then we moved onto the Sweet Mash Wheated Bourbon, which was paired with Black Pepper Crusted N.Y. Strip, Hot Honey Carrot Puree & Smoked Avocado Chimichurri. The Sweet Mash Whated Bourbon had some butterscotch and vanilla flavors to it, and we tasted some flavors of tobacco in the aftertaste. This one had a heftier flavor than the first two we tried. Sweet Mash Wheated Bourbon with Black Pepper Crusted N.Y. Strip, Hot Honey Carrot Puree & Smoked Avocado Chimichurri The N.Y. Strip was wonderful. We could have eaten ten more of these and been completely content. It was cooked well, and the accompaniments were also tasty. The chimichurri was flavorful and herby, and the carrots added some wonderful texture to the dish. There were some deep-fried carrots on top, as well as a delicious carrot puree on the bottom. Black Pepper Crusted N.Y. Strip, Hot Honey Carrot Puree & Smoked Avocado Chimichurri We also tried the Sweet Mash Bourbon paired with Toffee Cheesecake, Pecan Coffee Crust & Amarena Cherries. The Sweet Mash Bourbon had a caramel pecan smell with hints of oak. With the aftertaste, we tasted a strong chocolate flavor. The earthier flavors of this bourbon paired nicely with the pecan flavors of the cheesecake. Sweet Mash Bourbon with Toffee Cheesecake, Pecan Coffee Crust & Amarena Cherries The cheesecake was another hit for us! It has more of a mousse texture, but it is smooth and sweet with an almost butter pecan flavor. It sits on a pecan coffee crust that falls apart in your mouth, with lots of pecan flavor. Then it is topped with cherries that add a black cherry flavor to the dish. Toffee Cheesecake, Pecan Coffee Crust & Amarena Cherries Finally, we got to experience making a drink alongside Macarena Portales, the Chief Mixologist at Four Flamingos. She walked us through the process and provided us with a secret menu drink to taste! While this drink doesn’t have a name yet, they will be offering it for the next few weeks. Secret Menu Drink This drink featured a rum butter, mint, and peach concentrate. We thought this tasted like a peach mint julep! It was a great dessert cocktail to end the experience, and we are hoping this drink will get a name soon. The combination of the sweet peach, sharp mint, and rum butter was fantastic. The peach and mint are the first flavors you taste, and then the alcohol flavor comes sneaking in at the end. Tasted like a peach mint julep! Overall, we had a wonderful time at the Hard Truth Cocktail Class! The class was informative and featured the opportunity to try a wide variety of drinks and food options. It is a great option if you are hoping to try some items that you might not have otherwise. We definitely recommend checking out Four Flamingos and signing up for some of their future special events. Finding a bathroom in EPCOT’s World Showcase can sometimes feel like an adventure you didn’t plan for. World Showplace Restrooms Even if you’ve been to Disney World a hundred times, there are still a few things about the bathrooms in this part of the park that feel outdated and inconvenient. EPCOT has been investing in new attractions, dining, and even nighttime spectaculars, but the bathrooms in World Showcase haven’t really gotten the glow-up they deserve. If Disney wants to make the guest experience as smooth as possible, there are a few upgrades that could make a huge difference. Here are the five things EPCOT’s World Showcase bathrooms desperately need. Better Signage Raise your hand if you’ve walked the entire Japan pavilion before finally spotting the restroom. Yeah, us too. For some reason, World Showcase bathrooms aren’t always easy to find, especially in pavilions with winding pathways and hidden corners. Guests already spend enough time navigating crowds and crisscrossing the park, so trying to locate a restroom shouldn’t feel like solving a scavenger hunt. Japan Pavilion at EPCOT Clearer, larger, and more obvious signage would go a long way here. A few pavilions, like Mexico and France, are easier to navigate because their bathrooms are in obvious spots. But in others, the signage is small or tucked away in places where you wouldn’t think to look. Disney has mastered themed signs for shops, restaurants, and rides — surely they can find a way to design bathroom signs that fit the pavilion theming while also being easy to spot. More Mirrors After you’ve sampled nine festival booths and need to quickly freshen up, a single mirror by the exit just isn’t enough. Most World Showcase bathrooms have one large mirror positioned near the entrance or exit, but very few mirrors near the sinks. That means a line can form just for people trying to fix their hair or touch up their makeup after enjoying all the EPCOT snacks and sips. France Expansion Restrooms Adding more mirrors at each sink station would solve this issue instantly. It doesn’t need to be fancy — just a practical addition to make the space more functional. Considering how much of EPCOT revolves around eating and drinking, it only makes sense that bathrooms should be better equipped for quick touch-ups before you’re back on your way to the next pavilion. Disney likely does this to avoid lines happening at sinks but it would be nice for there to be a few more mirrors! Softer, Higher-Quality Toilet Paper Look, when Disney charges $150+ a day for park admission, it feels reasonable that the least thing they could do is use toilet paper that doesn’t make us think of sandpaper. Right now, the paper is thin, scratchy, and generally uncomfortable — which can be especially problematic after a long day of eating around the world. Toilet Paper We’re not saying EPCOT needs luxury hotel-style bathroom products, but something softer and sturdier would go a long way. At the end of the day, this is part of the guest experience. It might not be as flashy as a new attraction or festival booth, but comfort in the bathrooms matters. Guests spend hours in the park every day, and when nature calls, that pit stop should feel at least somewhat comfortable. We do know that a lot of this has to do with avoiding sewage issues, but even just a little bit softer of toilet paper would be much appreciated. Improved Privacy & Better Stall Doors Again, raise your hands if you’ve ever been in a Disney bathroom stall and made eye contact with a stranger through the door gap or a child who peeks under the door (those who have know exactly why this is on the list). Many Disney World bathroom stalls leave about a quarter-inch or more of space between the door and the frame, which basically means you feel like you’re sitting on display. France Expansion Restrooms We’re in 2025, but for some reason, we still don’t have stall doors that give us full privacy. Newer Disney hotels and restaurants have done a better job of creating private stalls, but not all EPCOT bathrooms have caught up yet. If Disney really wants to improve the guest experience, better stall doors without those gaps would be a small but meaningful fix. Acoustic Enhancements (Sound Masking) This one might sound a little extra at first, but Disney needs sound masking in its bathrooms. In countries like Japan, many public restrooms play ambient sounds or white noise to cover up any, ahem, “unpleasant” noises. It makes the experience way less embarrassing and a lot more comfortable, especially in these echo-heavy bathrooms. Morocco Restrooms Right now, EPCOT bathrooms are all tile and hard surfaces. That means every single noise is amplified. Installing subtle white noise, soft music, or even themed ambient sounds (imagine a bubbling fountain in Italy or forest sounds in Canada) would fit perfectly with Disney’s immersive approach. It’s thoughtful, on-brand, and would make guests feel much more relaxed during their pit stops. Tiling above the sinks Bathrooms may not be the most glamorous part of a Disney World trip, but they’re still a huge part of the guest experience. EPCOT’s World Showcase is all about celebrating culture, food, and storytelling — and the bathrooms should rise to meet that standard. With a few simple upgrades like clearer signage, better mirrors, softer toilet paper, improved stall privacy, and sound masking, these bathrooms could go from “functional” to “fantastic.” Keep it right here at DFB for the latest Disney news and more. Fall has arrived, Starbucks fans! The good news is that some of the BEST Starbucks drinks EVER are back on the menu. The bad news is that there’s only a limited time to sip on these iconic beverages. Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai Can you smell the flavors of fall already? Yes, the wafts of pumpkin spice are filling the air, and those sweet scents of autumn have traveled all the way to Disney World. If you want to enjoy a familiar treat while you’re visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth this fall, we know JUST where you should go for a classic returning menu item. The changing of the seasons has brought with it a whole host of new flavors to enjoy! If you’ve been waiting for your first chance to grab a warm (or cold) Starbucks fall drink and stroll down Main Street, U.S.A., your time has come. Halloween decorations in Magic Kingdom Starbucks just released its lineup of returning fall favorites, and, of course, we needed to conduct some Official Drink Research. Are these fall drinks as good as we remember? Let’s find out! Main Street Bakery in Magic Kingdom We stopped by the Main Street Bakery in Magic Kingdom to snag an old favorite drink. Meet the Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai, which is offered for a limited time during the season. This beauty will run you $6.75 (in Disney World, anyway; the price may vary depending on your location) when served in a grande size. It’s an iced chai latte with pumpkin spice topping and pumpkin cream cold foam. If you’re not a pumpkin spice person, just move on along. From here on out, we’ll be fangirling over pumpkin spice drinks. Let us have our moment, OK? Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai Unsurprisingly, our reporter LOVED this drink. As a returning star menu item, we already knew what to expect, so we’re happy to report that it once again delivered on all counts! It tastes like fall in a cup. It’s pure joy. It’s smooth, creamy, and purely indulgent. This is a TREAT — not exactly the type of drink you could guzzle down three times a day like a regular cup of coffee. As you sip, you’ll get the underlying chai flavor that’s warm and spiced, but the addition of pumpkin reminds us of pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving. It’s sweet, but not overwhelmingly sugary. The cold foam on top really enhances everything, smoothing it out and making the flavors less intense and overwhelming. And of course, we love that it’s an iced drink — trying to sip on a piping hot beverage in the middle of the Orlando heat at Disney World doesn’t exactly scream “ideal.” Look at that pumpkin spice topping! Happy Halloween, our fine fall friends! It sure is nice to welcome back an old favorite drink in Disney World. PUMPKIN SEASON IS HERE! WE KNOW – there are SO many great snacks at Disney World! As much as I love the food and theming at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, there are three cringey restaurant moments that make me hesitate before booking a reservation. 50’s Prime Time Cafe With themes ranging from retro drive-in theaters to classic sitcom kitchens, these restaurants are experiences in themselves. But while the food and atmosphere can be fun, there are a few moments that don’t quite land. In fact, some of them are so awkward that they make me hesitate before booking a table again. My job for two years has been focusing on Disney World restaurants, and after eating at these ones at Hollywood Studios, there are some moments that have just made me cringe. At 50’s Prime Time Café, the concept is clever: you’re “family” dining in mom’s kitchen, and the servers treat you accordingly. That means reminding you to keep your elbows off the table, scolding you for not finishing your veggies, and even calling you out if you’re glued to your phone. While some guests find it hilarious, others might find it embarrassing or downright uncomfortable. Thankfully, you can request at the host stand to not be part of the act, but it’s definitely something to consider before committing to the experience. 50’s Prime Time Cafe Over at Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater, the theming is spot on. You get to sit in a classic car and watch retro movie clips while enjoying your meal — it’s an immersive blast from the past. But here’s the catch — if you’re a party of two, you might end up sharing your “car” with strangers. For some, that’s no big deal, but if you’re hoping for a more private or romantic meal, having another party sitting just inches away can feel a little awkward. Car tables Then there’s Roundup Rodeo BBQ, which leans fully into the Toy Story theming. Throughout the meal, the servers and the restaurant get everyone to “freeze” because Andy is coming. It’s cute the first time and definitely entertaining for kids, but if you’re not a big Disney fan, or if it’s your first visit and you weren’t expecting it, it can feel pretty cringey. The concept is fun, but the execution doesn’t always land for every guest. Roundup Rodeo In the end, Hollywood Studios has some of the most creative and immersive restaurants in Disney World, but the extra “bits” aren’t always for everyone. Whether it’s being scolded at 50’s Prime Time, sharing your car at Sci-Fi, or freezing mid-bite at Roundup Rodeo, these cringey moments might leave you second-guessing where to dine. Still, if you go in knowing what to expect, you can decide whether the experience will add to your day, or just make you wish you’d grabbed a quick bite elsewhere. Happy Halloween, everyone! Halloween Time has officially arrived in Disneyland, and we’ve been enjoying the season. Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit filled in map and prize The parks are filled with fun and spooky decorations, Oogie Boogie Bash has kicked off, and the Halloween food and drinks have arrived. Seriously, this could be our favorite time of year. But did you know that there’s ANOTHER fun thing to do during Halloween Time in Disneyland? It’s a fun scavenger hunt called Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit, and Disney finally revealed this year’s prize for the activity. Again, you’ll be able to start playing on August 29th. It’s usually been my experience that the price of the map is usually well worth it to get the souvenir prize (and it’s usually something you can’t get anywhere else). It’s also a fun activity for everyone in your group, including kids. Downtown Disney We’re still waiting to see if the prize will be the same in Disney World, where EPCOT hosts its own version of Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit. In the past, the prizes have been the same on both coasts, but we’ll have to wait and see when the scavenger hunt officially debuts in Disney World. Stay tuned to DFB for more. With the Magic Kingdom in a massive state of change, including the removal of the iconic Rivers of America, we’re a bit unsure about the future of these long-running shows. Carousel of Progress Over the 30+ years I’ve been visiting Walt Disney World, I’ve seen countless iconic attractions close, which has long cemented in my mind the idea that no attraction — no matter how beloved or well-established– is safe forever. While none of these shows have been announced as closing anytime soon, there are reasons each may be on the chopping block in the future. Carousel of Progress Let me preface by saying I adore the Carousel of Progress. The show, which first debuted at the 1964 World’s Fair, is a longtime favorite. Carousel of Progress However, there’s no denying the show has seen better days — that 1994 finale really needs an update — and the theaters are usually pretty empty, all while taking up a massive piece of Tomorrowland real estate. If and when Disney announces a massive refurb of Tomorrowland, the show will probably be one of the first things to go. Hopefully, it can be preserved, perhaps at the Walt Disney Family Museum, if that day comes. It’s always Christmas on the Carousel of Progress Hall of Presidents While the Hall of Presidents has been a major part of Liberty Square since 1971, audience reactions attributable to America’s political climate may have Disney thinking it’s time to move or heavily renovate the show. Plus, the massive piece of real estate the show building takes up is about to be right on the border to the upcoming Piston Peak addition to Frontierland. Hall of Presidents Mickey’s Philharmagic While this may sound like blasphemy to 90s kids, this 3D film featuring Donald Duck flitting through Disney Renaissance films, including The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, and Aladdin, as well as Peter Pan, and later addition Coco, is showing its age. Given the dearth of available space in Fantasyland, this space could arguably be much better utilized. Mickey’s PhilharMagic Enchanted Tiki Room The Enchanted Tiki Room is another legendary Disney attraction that I personally love, but objectively, I could see Disney replacing. Space in Adventureland is short, and the show takes up prime real estate. Plus, the show’s content and voice performances are likely to see some edits in the coming years. Tiki Tiki Tiki Room Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor While this show has always been cute, it’s feeling long in the tooth almost two decades into its run. Plus, it’s never truly fit into Tomorrowland to begin with. Furthermore, the attraction is soon to be overshadowed by the massive Monsters, Inc. Land coming to Hollywood Studios. Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor While no closures have been announced for any of those shows as of yet, it wouldn’t surprise us if at least some of them were replaced within the next decade. Stay tuned to DFB for more on the future of Disney World. 3 EPCOT Rides We’re Getting Worried About Do you think any of these shows will be replaced? Let us know in the comments below. Ratatouille: L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy at Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris is getting an extensive renovation! And by extensive, Disney really means it; from the queue to the ride itself, LOTS of changes are in store for this ride. ©Disney This is the original Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, and the EPCOT attraction is a replica of the Disneyland Paris ride! While Disney hasn’t currently announced any plans to bring these same changes to the EPCOT version, who knows? Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure could be getting some updates soon, too! Only time will tell. The Disneyland Paris attraction will be receiving technical upgrades, scenic enhancements, new props, an enhanced queue, and more. The enhanced queue will even feature a NEW scene depicting a Parisian artist’s studio, “teeming with details and accessories such as canvases on the walls, paint splatters, and a fruit basket that may well whet the appetite of all the adorable rats in the neighbourhood.” ©Disney All of the attraction’s video projectors will be replaced, and the media will now be permanently projected in 2D. Plus, inside the attraction, Disney Imagineers will be adding new props and larger-than-life set pieces to add extra “flavour to key scenes and enhance guests’ perception of being shrunk to the size of Remy and his friends.” ©Disneyland Paris || Walt Disney Studios Park Ratatouille: L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy will close in October to undergo refurbishment and is currently expected to reopen in spring 2026. That is not all that is coming to Disneyland Paris in 2026, though! The grand opening of World of Frozen is also expected in 2026, along with Walt Disney Studios Park becoming Disney Adventure World. Disney Adventure World will also feature a brand-new ride that will be inspired by Disney Pixar’s UP, a Tangled Spin ride, and Disney’s first-ever ride themed after The Lion King. ©Disney Stay tuned to DFB for all your Disney news! We just got a sneak peek at one of the most talked-about restaurants coming to the Disney Destiny cruise ship! ©Disney Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, the Disney Destiny, is now undergoing its final touches, and with that, we’re getting even more updates about the ship. If you’ve been waiting to hear (and see) more of what’s to come with the onboard entertainment you’ll find here, then this is the update to get excited about! Disney’s Live Entertainment Costume Design & Development team has been hard at work putting the finishing touches on the costumes for one of the new dining experiences onboard the Disney Destiny. Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship is ready to set sail and welcome its first sailings in just a few months, and we can’t wait to see everything on board. ©Disney Just like its sister ships — the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure — the Disney Destiny will feature rotational dining experiences themed around popular Disney animated films. This cruise will debut a brand-new dining experience named Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King. While we’ve already had a peek at what’s to come with this dining experience, Disney’s just shared an exclusive first look at the costumes you’ll see the Cast Members wearing during their performance! ©Disney “The costumes take inspiration from the various regions of Africa, with a mix of both contemporary and traditional silhouettes and details,” said Amanda Avila, Associate Costume Designer with Disney Live Entertainment. She’s also the mastermind behind the costumes and accessory pieces you’ll see the Cast Members sporting during each performance! When designing these costumes, their research led them to draw inspiration from the country of Benin in West Africa. You’ll find pieces of cowrie shell details featured all throughout. In Benin, they symbolize prosperity, wealth, good luck, and destiny. ©Disney Throughout your dining experience, the entertainment that surrounds you will fill the air retelling Simba’s journey from cub to king, and the costumes and accessories will help make that an extension beyond their movements and voices. During their performances, the storytellers will wear specific accessories to embody the personalities and attributes of various characters from the beloved Disney animated film. Disney shared that, for example, the Scar accessories are the only pieces in the collection that incorporate the color black, inspired by his black mane, and his headdress will feature a single red feather above his left eye, which was designed to represent his notable scar. ©Disney We’ll continue to bring you all the latest updates and news as we count down to our first sailing on the Disney Destiny when she’s ready to welcome aboard her first guests.
