  1. If you’ve visited Epic Universe in Universal Orlando, you’ve probably seen some pretty long standby lines, especially for the more popular rides. Mine-Cart Madness We’re talking HOURS-long waits for Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic. The lines for Donkey Kong: Mine-Cart Madness in Super Nintendo World can get pretty long, too. And, well, there’s no way to skip those two long standby lines…except now, there is. That’s because Universal has just added both rides to its Express Pass option. Universal’s Express Pass is an additional ticket add-on that you can purchase to skip the long standby lines at rides throughout Universal Orlando, including Epic Universe. Until now, Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry and Donkey Kong: Mine-Cart Madness have not been included as part of the service. Now, though, both rides are available on the pass, meaning those with it can skip the long standby lines and use a shorter line instead. This means that the only ride not currently available with Express Pass is Dragon Racer’s Rally in How To Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk. Queue for standby line at Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry There are several ways to get the Universal Express Pass. A one-day pass for Epic Universe runs from $179.99 to $359.99, depending on the day you visit. You can also get an overall Universal Orlando Express Pass covering all three parks for three days from $269.99 to $864.99. You can also get passes that just cover Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure, as well as Volcano Bay. Hogwarts Express Line However, guests staying at select Universal Orlando hotels can get the Express Pass for free. The following hotels qualify for that offer: Loews Portofino Bay Hard Rock Hotel Loews Royal Pacific Resort Note the Epic Universe’s Express Pass is NOT included at this time. 2. If you’re heading to Disney World in September, you’ll want to know which rides won’t be running. Some are down for routine refurbishments, while others are gone for good to make way for bigger projects. Magic Kingdom I know, I know, closures can be frustrating, but if you know what to expect, you can plan around them and even discover new favorites along the way. Here’s the full list of ride closures active in September 2025, plus some alternatives worth working into your day! 1. The Boneyard – Animal Kingdom Status: Permanently closing on September 2, 2025 (last day of operation is Sept. 1). The Boneyard Reason: Making way for the new Tropical Americas / Pueblo Esperanza land, inspired by Encanto and Indiana Jones. What’s next: A redesigned kids’ play area within the new land. What to do instead: If your kids need a place to run and climb, check out the play zone at Mission: SPACE in EPCOT or the Casey Jr. Splash ’n’ Soak Station at Magic Kingdom. They’re not quite the same, but they’ll give kids a break from structured rides. Casey Jr. Splash Pad 2. Spaceship Earth – EPCOT Status: Closed starting August 25, 2025 for refurbishment, reopening later in the year. Spaceship Earth Reason: General upkeep for EPCOT’s icon — no major reimagining announced. What to do instead: While it’s closed, try Living with the Land for a relaxing, educational ride or Journey Into Imagination with Figment if you want something family-friendly nearby. And if you’re in EPCOT in September, of course I’m gonna tell you the Food & Wine Festival is a great way to spend extra time. Hollywood Studios With Disney Jr. Play & Dance closed: Little ones can still burn off energy at Alien Swirling Saucers or enjoy interactive character meet-and-greets around the park. The Frozen Sing-Along also works well for families who want a sit-down break. Alien Swirling Saucers With Muppet*Vision 3D closed: Pivot to Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular for another long-standing show, or make time for Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, which shares a similarly playful tone. Fans of quirky Disney history might also enjoy a ride on Star Tours, since it’s one of the park’s earliest attractions still running. Animal Kingdom With The Boneyard closing: If your kids need a break, head to The Conservation Station at Rafiki’s Planet Watch — the petting zoo and animal care exhibits are hands-on and interactive. The Discovery Island Trails around the Tree of Life also give kids space to explore. With It’s Tough to Be a Bug! gone: Don’t miss Festival of the Lion King or Finding Nemo: The Big Blue…and Beyond! — both deliver that same mix of music, spectacle, and air-conditioning. If you liked the bug humor, note that Disney says the new Zootopia show will blend comedy and education when it debuts. Festival of the Lion King September 2025 is a transition month — closures are happening, but they don’t have to derail your trip! Think of them as opportunities to rediscover classics you might skip or try out shows and attractions you usually pass by. With some smart swaps, your park days will still feel full and balanced. 4 Rules You’re Accidentally Breaking in Magic Kingdom The post 9 Rides Will Be Closed at Disney World in September first appeared on the disney food blog. 4. Okay, so we love Halloween in Disney World, and it may be one of our favorite times of the year to visit the parks. Stitch Mummy Popcorn Bucket First, the decorations are OFF THE HOOK in Magic Kingdom (and Disney went above and beyond this year in that regard). We also love going to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, where we, as adults, can trick or treat just like the kids. Then there’s the FOOD. But there’s also a lot of epic merchandise that releases this time of year, and Disney’s latest Halloween souvenir is already proving to be so popular that it’s selling out. The Stitch Mummy Popcorn Bucket has arrived at popcorn carts in Magic Kingdom. However, when we got in line for it at one popcorn cart, it sold out before we had a chance to get our hands on it. Yep, this baby is going to be SUPER popular. But it IS Stitch…and we all love Stitch, right? Especially when he’s all dressed up for Halloween! So we went to another popcorn cart…and that one also had a pretty long line. Line for popcorn bucket The good news is that we actually got the popcorn bucket this time around, and it was SO worth it. The popcorn bucket is $26.29 and comes with popcorn at the time of purchase. Even better? It lights up AND glows in the dark (we haven’t had a chance to try that out yet, but we will). Stitch Mummy Bucket We get why we had to wait in line for this popcorn bucket, though — just look at it. Stitch looks adorable in his Mummy costume and trick-or-treat basket. Plus, it looks like he’s already managed to get into the candy. Note that if you do want to grab this popcorn bucket, you’re limited to only getting two at a time. He’s ADORABLE It’s also only available while supplies last, so you’ll want to make sure to make a beeline for the popcorn carts when you arrive in Magic Kingdom to grab it. 5. Yesterday was a MASSIVE day for Disney news, and we were front and center to hear it all and report directly back to you! ©Disney We heard about Disney’s current ride refurbishments and upgrades, got the opening date of the new show coming to Animal Kingdom, AND learned that new meet-and-greets are coming, plus SO much more. If you were offline yesterday, here are the seven MASSIVE news drops you missed! Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Starting off strong, we got several updates straight from Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. This Magic Kingdom attraction is currently under refurbishment through sometime in 2026. It’s getting an updated new look, and Disney even showed off some new concept art for the ride! That’s not all, though — Disney also announced that with the new show’s arrival, a meet-and-greet with Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde will also be arriving at the park! BREAKING: OPENING DATE Announced for NEW ‘Zootopia’ Attraction in Disney World Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster with The Muppets! We also got a new look at concept art for the new version of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2026! The show will no longer star Aerosmith; this new version is hosted by The Muppets, and now we’re starting to see exactly what that will look like. ©Disney The Muppets are ready to make some awesome music together, and The Electric Mayhem is getting ready to headline their biggest Hollywood concert ever, but — OH NO — the band is nowhere to be found! You know what that means? It’s gonna be a wild ride! Disney confirmed that Scooter and the two Penguins seen in the new ride’s pre-show will be animatronics. G-Force Records is now under new management by The Muppets, now that Scooter’s uncle J.P. Grosse has taken charge. ©Disney The giant guitar outside the ride will stay put, but it’ll be getting a psychedelic new look inspired by the famous car paint job from The Muppets movie, and the piano motif will feature a golden key in reference to the band’s fearless leader. ©Disney We can’t wait to hear more about this ride, so stay tuned! Disney Reveals NEW Concept Art for Muppets Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin We also got a look at the new ride vehicles coming to Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin when the ride reopens with its new look and upgrades next year! They’re inspired by the Star Command colors, better fitting in with the theming of the ride — not to mention it includes handheld blasters and a digital screen that updates your score in real time. New ride vehicle! If the numbers on the screen are to be believed, it’s possible that the highest score of 999,999 will no longer be the highest you can get, so we’ll all have to work much harder to become a Galactic Hero! NEW LOOK at the Ride Vehicles for Disney’s Buzz Lightyear Attraction in Magic Kingdom Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run Disney also expressed how excited they are about the new adventures coming to Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run on May 22nd, 2026. There are new destinations and storylines coming to the ride (that you can read more about here!), but now it’s been confirmed that the engineer will get to pick the location of your adventure! ©Disney You’ll be able to team up with The Mandalorian, Grogu, and Hondo in these new adventures. The storyline is that Hondo Ohnaka just found out about a deal on Tatooine between ex-Imperial officers and some pirates. There’s a bounty for their capture, so you’re going to “borrow” the Millennium Falcon and team up with Din Djarin and Grogu to track them down. ©Disney We can’t wait to visit these new locations and experience the updated ride — come on, May 2026! JUST ANNOUNCED: CHANGES Confirmed for Disney’s Hollywood Studios Animation Courtyard Disney previously announced that Animation Courtyard in Disney’s Hollywood Studios would be receiving a major update to turn into The Walt Disney Studios, including adding a new playground for kids and a new spot called The Magic of Disney Animation. We got an updated poster for the new addition that you can check out below, and it features a NEW character — Robin Williams’s Lost Boy! ©Disney The new building will resemble the Roy E. Disney Animation Building at Disney headquarters in Burbank, California, but will show guests what being a Disney Animator is really like. It’ll also have a storyline — it’s a studio where the animators have temporarily stepped away, and the characters have come to life to take over. An experience where you can learn to draw your own character sketch will also be included! ©Disney | Roy E. Disney Animation Building We’re so excited to see this arrive sooner rather than later, especially since it’ll be in the section of the park that truly used to be a live filming studio! JUST ANNOUNCED: Learn More About the CHANGES at Animation Courtyard! Cool Kid Summer Finally, Disney announced that Cool Kid Summer would return for summer 2026! This is a great addition to the parks, as it added more entertainment, activities, and more across all four parks that were a big hit with kids. 6. Disney shared quite a bit of Disney World news yesterday, including a first look at the Muppets retheme of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and a look at the “new magic” coming to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. But that is not all; we also got the official opening date for the brand-new show coming to the Tree of Life Theater in Disney’s Animal Kingdom! Animal Kingdom Zootopia: Better Zoogether! will be opening on November 7th, 2025. In addition to an opening date, we also got some REALLY good news about this new show! If you ever got to experience It’s Tough to Be a Bug, you were likely left slightly traumatized, especially during the part where you get poked in the back by a bug. Yep, we have definitely had nightmares about that particular part of the show. And if you never got to experience It’s Tough to Be a Bug, consider yourself lucky that you didn’t just have a flashback to being poked during the show. However, we have some GREAT news! ©Disney It was confirmed that the new Zootopia: Better Zoogether! show will NOT have anything poking you in the back during the show. No need to sit on the edge of your seat anymore to avoid the poke. We will be able to slide allll the way back in the seat and not stress in anticipation. We are definitely looking forward to relaxing during this show with this new knowledge. “Zootopia: Better Zoogether!” ©Disney This brand-new 4D show (with no bugs poking you in the back) begins when you arrive at the main stage just in time for Zoogether Day festivities. We will be seeing some new and familiar faces, including Heidi Howler, a wolf who hosts the Zoogether Day LIVE! broadcast. Zoogether Day is “a celebration of unity amongst the diverse biomes across the city” and it is celebrated with performances such as an ice-skating spectacular from the heart of Tundratown! ©Disney Synchronized swimming direct from Marsh Market! ©Disney Tiny mouse drone shows soaring over Little Rodentia! ©Disney And of course, a musical finale by superstar Gazelle. ©Disney We can’t wait to see this new show on November 7th — and NOT get poked in the back! 9. It’s finally happening! Disney World’s new lounge, Beak and Barrel, is opening SOON in Magic Kingdom. The Beak and Barrel! Now we’ve been anxiously awaiting a chance to look inside this Pirates of the Caribbean-themed bar, which will offer some fun food and drinks (plus it’s bringing back the whole octopus tentacle thing). Well, we FINALLY got a chance to pop inside and see it for ourselves, and we are bringing you with us! So let’s go inside Beak and Barrel together! The main dining room, called The Mess, was once a mess hall for Spanish soldiers, but it is now ironically available for pirates and would-be pirates to “gather ’round and tell their own tales.” In this room, Disney warned to look at the ships’s bell. They shared, “Rumor has it this bell was from Captain Redd’s first ship, gifted to Merry at the tavern’s founding. Some say they’re close friends, or perhaps fierce rivals.” ©Disney There’s also a huge bar, “cobbled together from salvaged portions of a cursed shipwreck,” with a ton of incredible details, aptly named the Cursed Bar. At the center of the bar, there is an Enchanted Rum Bottle. Disney shared it was “Gifted by a powerful enchantress, the tavern’s barrels and the pirates’ cheer will never run dry as long as the bottle stays full.” A nod to Tia Dalma, maybe? PLUS, it literally looks like a pirate skull. How cool is that? The Cursed Bar! The Captain’s Quarters once served as the living quarters of the Spanish Comandante. Here you’ll find fine art and drapery, marked by years of being subjected to pirates. ©Disney On top of the mantel, you can find two miniature ships in glass bottles. Disney warned us, “Ye need to be on the lookout, as these here small vessels are known to come alive and engage in a fearsome bottle-bound battle for any who dare to watch.” A closer look! You can also find the Captains’ Booths! Each of the booths tells stories of the “exploits of notorious pirates, whose legends still echo across the seas.” ©Disney There are four “grand booths” in case you were hoping to captain the ship. ©Disney To the left of the main bar is the Mapmaker’s Room, which is marked by a large hole made by a cannonball (and you’ll see other cannonballs embedded in the walls nearby). This room was originally locked, so the pirates thought outside the box to get inside (they blew a big hole in the room’s wall). Will you find all of the pirate secrets on the map? ©Disney There are SO many details, and we can’t wait to break them all down ASAP. The details! We are so excited about the opening of this lounge on August 29th, and we just know everyone is going to love it as much as we do! We’ll also be covering the food and drinks here (because that’s what we do), so stay tuned for more! Ahoy, mateys! 10. Ahoy mateys! Let’s raise a toast to The Beak and Barrel, officially open to sailors of all ages starting August 29, 2025. This “Pirates of the Caribbean”-themed tavern at Magic Kingdom Park will unite swashbucklers and buccaneers alike from across the Seven Seas to enjoy seaworthy sips and snacks while being immersed in the pirate life! To get ready for yer experience, I’m here to tell ye the tale of all the fantastical details to be found in this here tavern, giving you a ‘sneak beak’ into the space … if you will. So drop anchor and get ready for yer next adventure! Aaarr ye ready? I know I am! The Mess The first large and lively space ye’ll find is The Mess, so named as it was once a mess hall for Spanish soldiers before it was claimed and repurposed by a cunning crew of pirates. Be sure to look up as ye enter to see a ship’s bell. Rumor has it this bell was from Captain Redd’s first ship gifted to Merry at the tavern’s founding. Some say they’re close friends, or perhaps fierce rivals. Ye’ll also see long tables perfect for pirates to gather ’round and tell tall tales. A hefty old anchor covered in candles makes for a fine chandelier. Ye will also see the detailed Mermaid Windows to ye side, salvaged from the wreckage of an infamous pirate ship, caked with barnacles and filled with mystery. At the far end of the room, the dark corner known as The Brig still bears the bars and framework of its past life – though the door rests nearby, pried off its hinges long ago. Should ye find yourself seated here, best mind your manners … for some say the walls remember every rascal they’ve kept. Cursed Bar Brimming with an impressive collection of rare bottles and prized spoils kept behind lock and key, the massive skull-shaped bar – anchored to the side of The Mess – is the eye-catcher of the space and has heard many, many shanties sung in its shadow. At its heart rests the Enchanted Rum Bottle, an ornate bottle of grog, which sits in a place of honor in its own special cove. Gifted by a powerful enchantress, the tavern’s barrels and the pirates’ cheer will never run dry as long as the bottle stays full. Let’s hope ye won’t be left asking, “Why is the rum gone?” Perched atop the bar, Rummy welcomes patrons and keeps an eye on the crew, quick with a story, joke, or song as he wobbles out from his main roost in the hollow of the skull’s eye. Captains’ Quarters As ye step into the Captains’ Quarters, expect a taste of the finer life. Once the private residence of the Spanish Comandante, its walls were lined with grand artwork and rich drapery. Yet time – and the rowdy hands of pirates – have left their mark with slashing blades and hot embers. In the center of The Captains’ Quarters, an elegant fireplace provides a warm glow, and atop the mantel rests miniature ships in glass bottles. Yet ye need to be on the lookout, as these here small vessels are known to come alive and engage in a fearsome bottle-bound battle for any who dare to watch. Captains’ Booths Along the wall, find four grand booths with intricately carved wooden panels. Each booth tells stories of the exploits of notorious pirates, whose legends still echo across the seas. Tucked further in the space, venture into a private sitting room where pirates partake in their favorite games of skill and chance. Ye may spy the telltale signs of past matches … and perhaps a warning for any bandits thinkin’ of bending the rules. Mapmaker’s Room The Mapmaker’s Room is filled to the brim with rolled up maps, pieces of parchment, spilled ink and many treasured secrets that belonged to a (some may say) crazed pirate cartographer. Now, pirates gather round the sprawling worktable in the center of the room, where the Mapmaker would have spread out his tools and set to work. On the adjacent wall is a large painted map of the known pirating world, with many pirating secrets to be discovered … will ye be the one to bring them to light? Arrgh, now that’s not all! There is so much to discover, so much that no matter how many times ye visit The Beak and Barrel, yer experience will differ! Are me fellow pirates hungry and curious to learn more about the grog and grub served up at The Beak and Barrel? Take a gander at the First Look on Disney Parks Blog. Ready for a jolly good time? Reservations for The Beak and Barrel are highly recommended. Keep a weather eye open for reservations on yer My Disney Experience app or visit DisneyWorld.com. 11. Okay, admit it, you’re thinking about dinner, and that means you might be thinking about McDonald’s. Okay, we are TOTALLY thinking about McDonald’s, and yeah, we probably visit the fast food chain more than we care to admit. McDonald’s Happy Meal But how can we resist when McDonald’s keeps dropping some amazing Happy Meal toys? We’ve seen a lot of Disney representation in Happy Meals and Happy Meal toys, but we also think the Hello Kitty meets the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toys are ADORABLE. Well, for those of us who love TinyTAN figures and K-pop (and how can you NOT love those sweet tunes?), you’ll want to head to McDonald’s soon for the NEW Happy Meal. On September 3rd, McDonald’s is dropping some brand new Happy meals with TinyTAN figures of the seven members of K-pop boy band BTS. 16. A brand new area is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios: get ready to step into The Walt Disney Studios when it opens in 2026! ©Disney In July 2025, Disney announced that the area currently known as Animation Courtyard will be reimagined into The Walt Disney Studios as a “special nod to the legendary Walt Disney Studios Lot” in Burbank, California. We just learned some exciting new details about this spot, so let’s get into it! Disney previously shared that Walt Disney Studios and The Magic of Disney Animation will be very reminiscent of the Roy E. Disney Animation Building at Disney headquarters in Burbank, California. But, Disney also recently shared that it will be a place where people can explore what Disney Animation is really like! We can’t wait to experience this new addition — it feels like part of the old Hollywood (er, MGM) Studios is coming back. ©Disney The entire Animation Courtyard area will be reimagined into The Walt Disney Studios, which will be themed around the actual Walt Disney Studios in Burbank. It will even include the return of Mickey’s Sorcerer Hat to the park (albeit a smaller version of it). Believe it or not, this part of Hollywood Studios (then Disney-MGM Studios) was once a REAL working movie studio where Disney movies and TV shows were created, like Mulan, Lilo & Stitch, The Tower of Terror film, and more. ©Disney | Roy E. Disney Animation Building Star Wars Launch Bay will become The Magic of Disney Animation (this is where you’ll see Mickey’s sorcerer’s hat on top of the building). The new building will have a story that it’s a studio where the animators have temporarily stepped away, and the characters have come to life to take over. It will also include an experience where you can learn to draw your own character sketch. Disney shared an updated look at a poster for the attraction, including a NEW character — Robin Williams’ Lost Boy! In 2026, The Magic of Disney Animation, where kids and kids at heart can laugh, draw, dream, and explore animated new experiences, will open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World Resort. Disney also shared that NEW changes are coming to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run at this park! For the first time ever, riders will be able to choose their destinations. It will fall to the Engineer on board to choose where to go throughout the journey, where passengers will team up with the Mandalorian, Grogu, and Hondo. New missions will be added to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers run in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort featuring the Mandalorian and Grogu. We can’t wait to see what else Disney has in store for upcoming changes at Walt Disney World. In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more! 17. So a LOT is happening in Disney World right now, especially in Magic Kingdom. ©Disney Magic Kingdom is set to get a new land PLUS a huge expansion. However, some rides are also getting major upgrades. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad closed earlier this year to get a bit of a makeover, including some “new magic” Disney has mentioned, although we didn’t have any details as to what that meant. Well, guess what? Disney has finally revealed what it has in store for some additions to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Disney Imagineers have been busy working on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad since it closed, including replacing the old track with a new, smoother track. New lighting and effects are also being added, plus the exterior of the ride will be changed to help it fit into the new Piston Peak Cars expansion that’s also coming to Frontierland. However, Disney previously mentioned that some “new magic” was coming to the ride. Work continues on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. The new magic will fit into Disney’s store for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. The ride is set is during America’s first major gold rush when Barnabas T. Bullion struck gold in the area and used his funds to build Big Thunder Mountain Company. But the land and its forces of nature had other ideas — unexplainable things began to happen: machines failed and cave-ins prevented more mining. Big Thunder Mountain is fighting back. ©Disney When the train makes its way underground, riders will see “spectacular natural caverns full of phosphorescent pools, shimmering and illuminating iridescent stalagmites (the ones on the floor) and stalactites (the ones on the ceiling).” Welcome to the Rainbow Caverns, which is a throwback to the long-gone Rainbow Caverns Mine Train that opened in Disneyland in 1956 and closed in 1977 to make way for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad there. Disney is bringing it back full circle, y’all! ©Disney Yes, the Rainbow Caverns are pretty, but Disney warns us that “they ain’t as friendly as they first appear” and “that menacing rumble from deep within the mountain may be a sign we ain’t welcome.” OOH! Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is set to reopen with its new updates in 2026, and we can’t wait to take a ride on the Wildest Ride in the Wilderness once again. Stay tuned to DFB for more. 18. Friends. We need to chat. ©Amazon If you’re anything like me, you have a friend or friends who will tell you all about an item. They will act like that find hung the moon and beg you to try it out. For whatever reason, you don’t listen. Well, that was me with Glamnetic Nails. Everyone on the DFB team would talk about them and how amazing they were. I finally gave in and decided to give them a try. And wow, am I so happy I did. These are the best press-on nails I have ever tried, and I’m already eager to try them again. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. Glamnetic Nails So, for starters, I don’t usually get my nails done often. I am a natural nail girlie through and through. I just feel like the expense and upkeep of getting my nails done isn’t worth it for me. And, I hate how my nails feel so damaged after getting gel nails or acrylics. I am also a toddler mom, so ya know, I don’t get a lot of time to myself to just go out and get my nails done. Glamnetics BUT, my husband and I were headed to Mexico, and I wanted to have pretty looking nails. I reached out to the DFB team, and they, of course, told me to try Glamnetics. After dragging my feet FOREVER, I finally bought some press on nails. I looked for a set that were trendy, not too over the top, looked easy to apply, and were inexpensive. And Glamnetics fit the bill in every way. Glamnetics VIEW ON AMAZON These nails come in different sizes and are supposed to last for up to 2 weeks. I have really tiny hands (I’m only 4’10) and I often get worried that my nails are going to look wild on my little fingers. But I can confidently say that there was a wide variety of sizes when it came to the nails. It wasn’t hard finding ones that would work on my hands and looked pretty natural. Glamnetics My other worry was the application. I had used press-ons one other time in my life and spent ages shaving them down and gluing them on, only for them to fall off within the first 3 or 4 days. My Glamnetic nails came with simple instructions and glue. I think I spent 15 minutes, MAYBE, putting these nails on. And once they were on, I was SHOCKED, I’m telling you, gagged by how good they actually looked. Glamnetics Instructions So how long did they last, you ask? Well, I wore these babies to the beach, so there was lots of water and sand. My first one popped off after I’d been home from my trip for a day or 2. So they were on for about a week. After the first one popped off, I couldn’t handle it, and I took the rest off myself. I was so impressed to find that my nails were still in really good condition. Most of the glue had come off with the nails. And my nails weren’t discolored or overly soft. I will be the one shouting from the rooftops that you need to buy these nails. Sorry to be the annoying friend, but it’s true. Right now, they do have a Harry Potter collection out, but they don’t have a Disney collection right now. Here’s to hoping they have one soon! While it’s not the clone of the Shanghai Disneyland Zootopia that some were hoping for, it’s still a brand-new attraction based in the world. The new attraction, Zootopia: Better Zoogether, is replacing the It’s Tough to Be a Bug attraction in the center of Animal Kingdom. According to Disney, the new film will take guests “on an adventure through different biomes seen in the film.” ©Disney Zootopia: Better Zoogether will officially open on November 7th. The all-new 4D show begins when you arrive to the main stage just in time for Zoogether Day festivities, where you’ll spot some new and familiar faces, including Heidi Howler, a wolf who hosts the Zoogether Day LIVE! broadcast. 22. Howdy, pardners… you folks oughta keep all hands, arms, feet, and legs inside the train, ‘cause this here’s the wildest ride in the wilderness! In 2026, the iconic Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will reopen with new magic – and today, we have new details to share about what to expect the next time you take to the tracks in search of adventure. There’s Gold in That There Mountain The story of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad dates back to Olden Times, or rather, Golden Times, during the early days of America’s first major gold rush. When Barnabas T. Bullion struck gold in the Big Thunder region, he saw a future full of riches and hustled to start the Big Thunder Mountain Company. However, them shiny dreams rarely come without a cost, and Bullion quickly found himself in a battle with the forces of nature and in a whole heap of trouble. One day, strange and unexplainable things started happening. Machines failed. Cave-ins shut mines down. No matter how deep the miners dug into the heart of the mountain, the forces of Big Thunder fought back. And when the attraction reopens next year, the unsuspectin’ passengers who board the runaway trains will learn just how wild the wilderness can get. Shine and Polish on a Magic Kingdom Classic The mountain attractions at Disney Parks around the globe are iconic for a reason – they are beloved by fans old and new for the stories they tell, the thrills they give, and the memories they make. The rumblin’, rollin’ fun of Big Thunder Mountain here at Disney World is currently undergoing a mountain-top to cavern-deep refurbishment meant to keep the classic attraction in tip-top shape, ready to delight guests who want to ride the rails for years to come. New Magic Thunderin’ In In addition to the action and adventure we know and love, Big Thunder Mountain will reopen with new magic for fans to discover. One such moment comes when the trains rattle their way underground to spectacular natural caverns full of phosphorescent pools, shimmering and illuminating iridescent stalagmites (the ones on the floor) and stalactites (the ones on the ceiling). The Rainbow Caverns certainly are beautiful… but they ain’t as friendly as they first appear. In fact, that menacing rumble from deep within the mountain may be a sign that we ain’t welcome. There’s more new magic for guests to discover once Big Thunder Mountain Railroad returns in 2026, but you’ll need to hang on to your hats and keep an eye out on the Disney Parks Blog for more news, comin’ soon! 24. There are SO many options for dining at Disney World! You aren’t even limited to the theme parks when it comes to dining on your Disney vacation. The Disney World hotels have lots of great options, and there are also some fantastic dining options at Disney Springs! The Edison at Disney Springs We recently stopped by The Edison at Disney Springs for lunch, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. Is it worth a stop on your next trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth? Find out here! Atmosphere The moment you set foot inside The Edison, you feel like you have been transported somewhere else. This restaurant is inspired by The Edison venue in Los Angeles. It is a lavish “Industrial Gothic” style restaurant that is themed to a 1920s power plant. The Edison The restaurant itself is two stories tall, and when you enter, you overlook the lower level. We definitely recommend spending some time walking around this restaurant, as there is so much to see! The Edison The menu features classic American food presented in modern ways, along with craft cocktails. You can stop by for lunch or dinner, or also attend one of the many special events The Edison hosts, including cocktail classes. The Edison But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?! Menu To start off, The Edison has quite a few choices for shares & nibbles, including their well-known DB “Clothesline” Candied Bacon. ©Disney You can also get salads and burgers, including The Edison Burger. ©Disney The Edison also has a list of their patented specialties, which are entrees, and their patented partners, which are sides. ©Disney The Edison also has a couple of options for sweets to finish off your meal. ©Disney The restaurant also features options for kids, including starters and main courses. ©Disney As well as sweets and kids’ beverages. ©Disney One thing that The Edison does not lack is options for drinks! You can grab an old-timey soda, a non-alcoholic beverage, or a high roller cocktail. ©Disney Or, you can also choose from one of Edison’s Elixers. ©Disney There is also a featured cocktail and zero-proof options. ©Disney Plus, there is an extensive list of draught, bottled, canned beers, and cider. ©Disney And plenty of wines to choose from as well! ©Disney And now, onto the main event — the food! Eats First up, we grabbed the Circuit Board for $19. It is made with handmade buttermilk biscuits, country ham, hatch pepper cheese, pickles, ranch pretzels, apple butter, and WhistlePig barrel-aged maple butter. Circuit Board We really enjoyed this! The biscuits were for sure our favorite part — they were soft and fluffy, and had lots of buttery flavor to them. The pretzels were also really addictive, as they had a wonderful seasoning blend on them that reminded us a bit of the seasoning on the original Dot’s pretzels. So flaky! Our only complaint is that we wish there were maybe some crackers to use with the cheese and ham, but they were also great by themselves. The pickles were fresh, crisp, and tangy; the apple butter was fantastic! The other dip was the maple butter, where the main flavor was definitely the butter (the maple was very light), which we appreciated. We would have loved some crackers! We also grabbed the Pulled Pork Hand Pies for $17. It is made with a flaky pie dough, slow-roasted pork, cheddar cheese, and cilantro garlic aioli. Pulled Pork Hand Pies These had a beautifully buttery and flaky dough, even though it was a bit on the harder side. The aioli really added a lot of great flavor to the dish — it was herby and creamy, and went really well with the hand pies. The pork was tender, and the filling was very juicy with the cheese mixed in as well. We were impressed! Delicious! We also had to try the PB, B&B Electric Co. for $19, which is butter-griddled sourdough, peanut butter, smoked bacon, banana, and l.burbank fries. The PB, B&B Electric Co. If you grew up on banana and peanut butter sandwiches, this will be a blast from the past. The sandwich is filled with ooey gooey peanut butter, soft bananas, and crispy bacon, and sandwiched between two crispy and buttery on the outside, and fluffy on the inside pieces of bread. While it was very tasty, it was a bit too sweet for us and felt more like a dessert, but if that’s your jam, then you’ll love this! The bananas are almost caramelized and are super soft, and the peanut butter is also pretty sweet and creamy. The fries were wonderfully crispy, which we really appreciated, and had a great seasoning! Reminds us of our childhood! For dessert, we got the Cast Iron Apple Pie for $15. It features flaky pie crust, honey crisp apples, cinnamon, vanilla gelato, and bourbon toffee sauce. Cast Iron Apple Pie This was like a disc of pie crust and the apple filling was underneath, and the gelato on top was creamy with lots of vanilla flavor. The pie crust was crispy, and it honestly took a bit of effort to cut through, but it was flaky, and the crispiness worked well with the tender apples. Delicious! The apples were coated in a sticky syrup with lots of cinnamon flavor, so much so that the bourbon toffee sauce was a bit hard to taste over the rest of the flavors, but we did get a slight hint of toffee. It added some complexity that we really enjoyed! Drinks To drink, we picked up the Strawberry Fields Forever for $18. It is made with Wheatley vodka, St-Germain liqueur, honey, lime juice, strawberries, and mint. Strawberry Fields Forever This is full of strawberry flavor and had us super impressed! It’s definitely on the sweeter side, and it reminds us a bit of a strawberry limeade with a hint of mint. The alcohol in the drink adds a bit of herbiness, which we enjoyed, but it was very fruity and easy to sip on. Overall, we’re big fans of this drink and how much it tastes like REAL strawberry, not artificial strawberry. Nosh or Not This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if… You’re looking for a unique, solid dining option in Disney Springs You’re looking for a restaurant with a unique atmosphere and upbeat vibe You’re pleasing a large group of people You should skip this Disney World spot if… You’re not already in Disney Springs/don’t plan to head there during your trip You prefer to have LOTS of light while you dine, especially when it’s dark outside You’ve got pickier eaters in your group Overall We really enjoy this restaurant and totally recommend it if you’re looking for a unique, delicious dining option around Disney Springs. 25. It seems like almost everything is under construction in Disney World right now. In the parks, there are new lands and expansions being built, while some rides are getting new updates. ©Disney Disney World hotels are also going through some changes, including a HUGE change over at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Now, the Grand Floridian is making some big changes to its lobby, and we’ve been keeping an eye on things there, including the construction of a new bar. So let’s take a look at what’s been going on. The last time we visited the Grand Floridian lobby, things were starting to come together for the new bar, which will replace the iconic bird cage (but don’t worry, because the bar will incorporate the bird cage theme into it). Here’s what things looked like the last time we visited. The new bar Well, things are starting to move upward…literally. When we visited the lobby recently, the bar had a new structure going up in the area, which looks like the outer frame of the new bar. The bar is going up! According to Disney, “the bar will pay tribute to the resort’s Victorian roots with intricate woodwork, stained glass, and brass accents.” Here’s a look at the construction from a different angle. Another view The whole lobby is getting a refresh, as well. This includes brand-new carpeting with Victorian-inspired borders and scrollwork, “featuring hand-drawn florals inspired by turn-of-the-century botanical studies.” We’ll be keeping an eye out for more details about the updated Grand Floridian lobby, so stay tuned to DFB for more.
