There are SO many options for snacks in EPCOT! It can be a bit overwhelming when you are on the hunt for a treat, especially when you are visiting during a festival like the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival, which offers additional food booths! EPCOT We have eaten everywhere in Disney World, and we aren’t stopping there! We continually revisit places and try new foods to provide you with the most up-to-date reviews and information. Today, we are heading over to a snack stand in EPCOT to bring you a review of a refreshing treat option! We are headed over to the Refreshment Station at EPCOT for a quick and easy treat! You can find this stand in World Discovery near Test Track. The flavors at the Refreshment Station change from time to time. You can almost grab a Coca-Cola flavored slushy, and then there are usually two other flavor options. Currently, you can grab Coca-Cola, Fanta Watermelon, and Powerade Sour Green Apple. Previously, we have seen flavors like Fanta Wild Cherry and Hi-C Orange Lavaburst. Once you’ve chosen your flavor, you can also select from a variety of candy toppings. Refreshment Station We stopped by recently to grab the Powerade Sour Green Apple Slushy for $6.25. We opted to just get the slushy without any candy toppings. After trying it, we have to say it was a pretty intense sour green apple flavor! This could be too much for some people, as it is definitely very sour and has a strong artificial green apple flavor. It isn’t overwhelmingly sweet, but it is intense. Powerade Sour Green Apple Slushy Our reporter was very surprised by the strength of the sour green apple flavor, and this drink is definitely not for everyone. If you are a fan of sour green apple, though, you need to add this to your must-get list! You can also add candy toppings to your slush! We got the slush without toppings, but the candy can add different flavors and texture to your drink. You can also add toppings to the slush if you want! Make sure to stay tuned to DFB for all your Disney World food news and reviews! When it comes to dining at Disney World, you’ve got a TON of options. It can feel a bit overwhelming, but having so many options can be so exciting. There is something for just about anyone, and if you are craving something, you can likely find it somewhere in Disney World. We are here to help you find the best dining locations for your family! We have eaten everywhere in Disney World, and we aren’t stopping there as we are constantly revisiting locations and trying new foods. It’s time to eat! We recently stopped by the Crew’s Cup Lounge at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort to see what was cookin’, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. Is it worth a stop on your next trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth? Find out here! Atmosphere You will find the Crew’s Cup Lounge inside of Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. It is right next door to Yachtsman’s Steakhouse, up a few wooden steps. We have found this lounge to be fairly lively most of the time, and depending on when you arrive it might be harder to find a table. Crew’s Cup Lounge You will feel like you have stepped right into a sportsman’s lounge, and the lounge has lower levels of lighting that give it a more intimate feel. We also love the lit-up rowers located around the whole room. Inside the lounge! But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?! Menu You can grab both food and drinks at Crew’s Cup Lounge. It is a lounge though, so you will only find a limited food menu. The food is available from 5 PM until 10 PM and features one of our favorite Disney World dishes, the Prime Rib Sliders. ©Disney There is the option for a Kids’ Specialty Drink on the menu so your kids can sip in style too! ©Disney You can choose from a variety of beer and cider. ©Disney Plus, you can grab the Specialty Cocktail, the Sunset Margarita. ©Disney As well, there are options for Scotches and Cognacs. ©Disney The menu also features Coffee Drinks and After-Dinner Flights. ©Disney And now, onto the main event — the food! Eats First up, we grabbed the Yachtsman Signature Bread for $8. This dish features sourdough, onion pull-apart rolls, roasted garlic, and butter. Yachtsman Signature Bread You’ll get sourdough and onion pull apart bread with this basket. It also comes with a dollop of butter topped with hibiscus salt and some roasted garlic. The sourdough bread has a great tanginess to it, and it was perfectly fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Sourdough Bread We really enjoyed the onion pull apart bread! It’s very fluffy and has a strong onion flavor, which we loved. Onion Pull-Apart Bread The butter is light and creamy, and compliments both types of bread really well. The roasted garlic is super tender and easy to spread on the bread, and combining both together made for utter perfection! We loved both the roasted garlic and butter! We also couldn’t stop by Crew’s Cup Lounge without grabbing the Prime Rib Sliders for $21. We LOVE this dish, so we needed to make sure it still tasted as good as we remember. The dish features onion rolls, au jus, and horseradish cream. Prime Rib Sliders The prime rib is tender and juicy, and there is so much of it on these sliders, making it really worth the cost. The peppers and onions added a nice flavor, and the sweetness of the onions especially worked well with the dish. However, the horseradish sauce is the star — it was creamy with a great amount of horseradish flavor! We loved that it was served on the side, so you could choose how much of that flavor you really wanted on it. These were delicious! We certainly weren’t disappointed by these, and absolutely recommend them if you love prime rib. The chips they were served with were okay, nothing totally incredible, but not bad at all either. Drinks To drink, we picked up the Sunset Margarita for $17.50. This drink is made with Teremana Blanco Tequila, Grand Marnier Liqueur, Hella Cocktail Co. smoked chili bitters, lime, and agave. Sunset Margarita This margarita had a great balance of flavors. It isn’t overly sweet, like you find a lot of other places at Disney World. It is still on the sweet side, but it’s balanced well with the tartness and bit of smokiness in this drink from the chili bitters. The main flavor you taste in this drink is the lime and the Grand Marnier liqueur. If you’re looking for something that’s pretty close to a classic margarita, we think you’ll really enjoy this one. Nosh or Not This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if… You’re staying at Yacht Club or Beach Club Resort You’re looking for a lounge with great dining and drink options You want a quick meal that won’t feel rushed or too cramped You should skip this Disney World spot if… You’re not staying close to Yacht and/or Beach Club, or won’t be visiting around there You want a quieter, less crowded lounge You want a lounge that’s open all day Overall This is a really cozy lounge, and while it did get a bit loud at times, people were just having a really good time. Our server was excellent and was always checking in on us and making sure everything was good. We saw lots of people coming in to wait for their table at Yachtsman Steakhouse and ordering a drink, but it’s important to note that you did have to close your check out at Crew’s Cup before going over to Yachtsman Steakhouse, your bill can’t be moved over to the restaurant. Stop by on your next visit! In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant updates from Disney World and beyond. When it comes to dining at Disney World, you’ve got a TON of options. Want something quick and easy? You’ve got it. Something middle-of-the-road and comforting? Yep, that too. And if you’re looking for something upscale and luxurious, you can find that as well. Port Orleans French Quarter We recently stopped by the Scat Cat’s Club Cafe at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort to check out an underrated treat, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. Is it worth a stop on your next trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth? Find out here! We stopped by Scat Cat’s Club Cafe at Port Orleans French Quarter to try the Gluten-Free Beignets. For $7.99, you get three warm, pillowy beignets covered in powdered sugar — what’s not to love? Gluten-Free Beignets We were pleasantly surprised by these! While they didn’t taste like traditional beignets, they were definitely beignet-like. They tasted more like funnel cake to us than the flavor we’re used to with non-gluten-free beignets, but to us, they were still better than the beignets at Magic Kingdom. There was a really good balance of crisp on the outside, with soft and doughy on the inside. You would not be able to tell these were gluten-free if you didn’t already know! Warm pillows of deliciousness They load them up with powdered sugar, but they’re just not gonna have that puffy dough texture from regular beignets. Definitely one of the better gluten-free desserts available at Disney World! In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant updates from Disney World and beyond. More changes are coming to Hollywood Studios! ©Disney Over in Galaxy’s Edge, a popular experience is getting a limited-time change, and we are too excited! If you’re a Star Wars fan, grab your lightsabers and let’s head to Savi’s Workshop to see what guests can expect starting next month. In case you didn’t know, over in Hollywood Studios and Disneyland Park, you can find Savi’s Workshop. At Savi’s, Gatherers teach you how to hand-build your own Lightsaber, which is a lifelong dream for many Star Wars fans! Savi’s Workshop During the experience, you get to choose one of the available hilt themes and receive a cloisonné pin before building your lightsaber. There are several themes to choose from, but beginning on October 12th, the “Reclaimed and Reforged” storyline is returning for a limited time! ©Disney On their website, Disney has shared that “over the centuries, countless lightsabers fell into the hands of smugglers and bounty hunters.” Remnants and scraps of those have been collected around the galaxy, and now, you can use them to build “elegant tools that symbolize balance in The Force.” During your experience at Savi’s, you can choose: 1 hilt 4 sleeves (pick 2) 2 emitters (pick 1) 2 pommel caps (pick 1) 2 sets of activation plates and switches (pick 1 set) ©Disney The elements that are part of the Reclaimed and Reforged will be around while supplies last, and it will give fans a chance to have an even more rare piece of Star Wars memorabilia. In addition to these limited-time changes, different themes include Peace and Justice, Power and Control, Elemental Nature, and Protection and Defense. Elemental Nature Inside the workshop, lightsaber pieces, kyber crystals, and tales of the Force and the Jedi told by the Gatherers will provide the tools you need. This popular experience requires reservations and costs a pretty penny in both parks. In Hollywood Studios, it costs you $249.99 (plus tax) for a lightsaber with a carrying case. ©Disney The Reclaimed and Reforged storyline first appeared for the May the 4th celebrations earlier this year, so we are super excited to see its return! Getting from the Orlando airport to Disney World should be simple, but it can actually trip up a lot of visitors. Orlando International Airport There are so many options that it’s easy to pick the wrong one without realizing it until you’re already stuck with the consequences. Some choices look cheaper up front but end up costing you time or money once you factor in the details. That’s why we want to share a couple of mistakes that Disney fans keep making when it comes to airport transportation so you don’t fall into the same traps. Mixing Up Shared vs. Private Shuttles This one happens all the time. You go online, you see a shuttle service that looks like a nice, straightforward ride to your Disney resort, and you assume you’re booking something close to a private transfer. But here’s the catch: a lot of those “shuttles” are actually shared services. That means instead of heading straight to your hotel, you could end up making multiple stops at other resorts along the way. Mears Connect Take Mears Connect, for example. Their standard service is essentially the spiritual successor to Disney’s Magical Express, and it’s designed to move a lot of people at once. It works fine if you don’t mind waiting while other families get dropped off first. But if you’re expecting to be whisked away directly to your hotel, you’re going to be frustrated when your 30–minute ride turns into an hour-plus. Mears Connect Bus The confusion often comes from the way these services are marketed. A shiny bus with Disney-themed graphics doesn’t mean it’s direct. On the flip side, private shuttle services and town cars really do give you that direct ride, but they cost more. The key here is to know exactly what you’re booking before you hit that checkout button. Always look for words like “shared,” “standard,” or “express.” If you see “express,” double-check whether that actually means you’re the only stop or if you’re just first in line. ©Mears Our advice? If you’re traveling with kids who are tired from a long flight, or you just want to maximize park time, consider a private transfer. It may be more expensive upfront, but it can save you a ton of stress. If budget is your main concern and you don’t mind sharing, a service like Mears Connect standard works fine—just go in with the right expectations. 3 Things I Wish I Had Known Before Paying $63 for Disney World Airport Transportation Relying on Rideshares Without Planning for Surge Pricing Rideshares like Uber and Lyft are incredibly convenient at Orlando International Airport. You open the app, tap your hotel, and within minutes you’re on your way to Disney World. But here’s the thing: not all rides cost the same, and a lot of fans forget about surge pricing. ©Uber Orlando is a major tourist hub, and flight arrivals come in waves. If you land at the same time as a ton of other people, or you’re trying to get a ride late at night after the parks close, those prices can spike fast. What might cost $35 one moment could suddenly cost $75 or more. If you’re relying on rideshare as your only option and you haven’t budgeted for that, it’s not going to feel great when you see that total pop up on your screen. Another issue is that many guests don’t realize you can actually schedule your rideshare in advance. Both Uber and Lyft allow you to lock in a pickup time, which can help avoid the last-minute scramble. It won’t always protect you from surge pricing, but it does mean you’re less likely to be stranded at the curb waiting for a driver. ©Lyft Something else to note: Orlando International Airport has specific pickup zones for rideshares depending on which terminal you’re in. If you don’t pay attention to the instructions in the app, you could waste time dragging your luggage between levels trying to find your driver. When you’re tired from traveling, that extra hassle can feel way bigger than it is. Mears Connect at Orlando International Airport Our tip here is simple: don’t just assume rideshares will be the cheapest or easiest option every time. Compare what a scheduled ride would cost to the price of a shuttle before you leave home. That way, you’ll know what makes sense for your group instead of being caught off guard. 5 Most Important Rules for Orlando Airport Transportation to Disney World Disney transportation can feel like a puzzle, and the airport piece is one of the trickiest parts. Knowing the difference between shared and private shuttles, as well as planning for rideshare surge pricing, can save you from a lot of frustration right at the start of your trip. We’ll keep sharing these tips so your vacation can start smoothly from the moment you step off the plane. Disney’s Hollywood Studios just debuted some NEW character meet and greets! With the closure of Animation Courtyard to make way for The Walt Disney Studios, some rare character sightings have popped up in Hollywood Studios. Bert and Mr. Penguin You will find these new character meet and greets on Hollywood Boulevard just in front of the entrance to Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. We spotted them right around the Central Stage area. We got a chance to meet all the new characters and snap a few quick pics of them! Animation Courtyard has closed to make way for The Walt Disney Studios. You can still enjoy Walt Disney Presents and The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure, but construction walls are now up, and Star Wars Launch Bay, Disney Jr. Play and Dance, and the Disney Junior meet and greets are closed. The good news is that NEW characters have arrived in Hollywood Studios. Let’s see who you can meet! Construction Walls in Animation Courtyard First up, you can find Pinocchio hanging out by Center Stage! He was looking great this morning! It’s Pinocchio! You can also find Jiminy Cricket! He was looking dapper as always. Jiminy Cricket We also spotted Mary Poppins. She was looking wonderful and excited to be in Hollywood Studios. Hi Mary Poppins! Finally, we also got to meet Bert and Mr. Penguin. Bert is scheduled to meet in this area according to the app, but Mr. Penguin was an extra surprise. Bert and Mr. Penguin You can find all of these character meet and greets in the My Disney Experience app to see when the characters will be meeting. Simply head to the “Characters” section and either view the list or look for the Mickey Mouse icon near Center Stage to view all of their appearance times. Don’t forget, you can also find Chip and Dale right near these character meet and greets. Chip and Dale are just a few steps away closer to The Hollywood Brown Derby and near the light tower. We love meeting Chip and Dale Darth Vader has also moved locations with the closure of Star Wars Launch Bay. Currently, you can find Darth Vader meeting near Star Tours. Chewbacca still makes appearances in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, but currently you can’t meet BB-8. Whether you’re getting ready to head out on your Disney World trip or are just getting started with planning, it’s a good idea to keep up with any new laws you may need to know while traveling in Florida — especially if you plan to drive. ©Visit Florida If you’re driving to Disney World or are renting a car once you get there, make sure you read up on these two new Florida motorist laws. Several new laws are about to go into effect in Florida as of October 1st, 2025, but there are two that stand out as ones you might need to know about — especially if you drive to or rent a car at Disney World. While neither law will impact your trip (or at least we hope they don’t!), it’s still a good idea to be aware. Welcome to Florida Florida’s new HB 113, or “Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Law Enforcement Officer,” increases the penalties for fleeing and eluding law enforcement, reclassifying offenses for increased severity, implementing a sentencing multiplier for repeat offenses, and establishing a mandatory minimum of three years for aggravated cases causing serious injury or death. Hopefully, this shouldn’t be a problem, unless you plan on fleeing from the cops on your Disney World trip. ©Disney | Don’t run from Nick and Judy The new HB 479 also goes into effect on October 1st, and applies to “Leaving the Scene of a Crash Involving Only Damage to Vehicle or Property.” Essentially, this authorizes the court to order the driver convicted of leaving the scene of a crash to make restitution for the damage. So, again, as long as you don’t commit any hit-and-runs while you’re at Disney World, you should be good on this one as well. ©Disney | Don’t do any hit-and-runs Not only that, but back in July, House Bill 351 was adopted. This bill creates a criminal offense for “dangerous excessive speeding” if a motor vehicle driver exceeds the speed limit by 50 miles per hour (mph) or more, or operates a motor vehicle at 100 mph or more in a manner that threatens the safety of other persons or property, or interferes with the operation of any vehicle. We hope you’re not driving that much over the speed limit — everyone should have the best chance at getting to Disney World safely! Make sure you keep these new laws in mind when you’re planning on traveling to Disney World or around Florida. Welcome to Disney World! We’ll be on the lookout for additional laws you might need to be aware of if you drive to Disney World. In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more. There is one pavilion in EPCOT’s World Showcase that is all about slowing down and soaking it in. Italy Pavilion The Italy Pavilion may not have a headliner ride, but it has food, drinks, and atmosphere that people regularly call a must-do. If you breeze through it, you’ll miss some of the best hidden gems in the park. So, we’re breaking down the unspoken rules that will help you get the most out of your stop here. Always Pause and Watch the Pizza Being Made If you’re eating at Via Napoli, the pizza is the star of the show. But there’s something about watching the process that’s just as magical as eating the final product. You’ll see dough flying through the air, chefs sliding pies into massive wood-burning ovens, and flames working their magic on those bubbly crusts. Some things are made to share — like pizza at Via Napoli! This is not the time to bury your face in your phone until your order arrives. Pause and actually watch the action, because it gives you a whole new appreciation for why people swear this is the best pizza in Disney World. The ovens are even named after Italian volcanoes—how cool is that? Via Napoli Pizza Ovens It’s not just about filling your stomach here. Watching the pizza being made is part of the experience, and skipping it is basically like missing half the fun of Via Napoli. Click here to check out our most recent review! Always Get the Gelato Gelateria Toscana might not look like the biggest deal at first glance, but skipping it is a huge mistake. EPCOT days are long, and the Florida sun doesn’t mess around. Gelato here is the perfect refresher, and it’s not just a quick sugar fix — it’s genuinely delicious. Gelateria Toscana The menu rotates with seasonal flavors and sundaes, and no matter what you pick, it feels like the ultimate treat. It’s not unusual to see people grab a scoop here before moving on, then circle back later in the day for round two. Yes, it’s that good. Two scoops gelato cup If you want to make your EPCOT day feel extra special, this is one of those little indulgences that’s absolutely worth it. Trust us, this is one rule you’ll be glad you followed. Click here to check out our most recent review! Don’t Write Off the Festival Food Here During EPCOT’s many festivals, the Italy Pavilion usually brings out a booth with seasonal offerings. Here’s the thing—if you skip it every time, you might miss out on some surprisingly good bites. 2025 Italy Booth We’ve had some festival dishes in Italy that were forgettable, but in the past, we’ve also had ones that left us talking about them for weeks. Italy Spread 2025 The unspoken rule? Give it a fair shot. At least try one item. Sometimes it’s a miss, but other times you’ll discover a festival favorite hiding in plain sight. Click here to check out our most recent review! Leave Time to Browse the Shops The shops in Italy might not scream “must-do” at first glance, but they’re worth your time. This is where you’ll find authentic perfumes, Italian wines, handcrafted masks, and beautiful ceramics. Even if you’re not planning on spending money, browsing here feels like a mini trip to Venice or Florence. Italy Pavilion Take a few extra minutes to wander through. Smell the perfumes, admire the artistry of the masks, and let yourself slow down. EPCOT days can feel like a race to the next ride or reservation, but this is one of those spots where you can catch your breath while still feeling immersed in the experience. Italy Pavilion The unspoken rule here is simple: don’t rush. Let yourself enjoy this pavilion like you would if you were strolling through the real thing. Italy Pavilion The Italy Pavilion is one of those places that can easily become a “walk by” for guests trying to squeeze in as much as possible, but slowing down here pays off. From pizza to gelato to festival finds and shops, there’s so much to love when you follow these simple unspoken rules. Stay tuned to DFB for more Disney World tips! Here at Disney Food Blog, we may obsess over Disney, but we LOVE theme parks. If it has at least one ride, one food stand, and we can purchase tickets, someone on our team has probably gone and likely has the photos to prove it. ©Six Flags When you open your heart to lots of theme parks, unfortunately, you also welcome yourself to heartbreak. There are four theme parks that are permanently closing, leaving us feeling pretty sad as we see the gates close and the rides being removed. Let’s take a look at all the theme parks closing in 2025. Six Flags America and Hurricane Harbor ©Six Flags Located in Bowie, Maryland, both Six Flags America and Hurricane Harbor will remain open till November 2nd. The CEO and president of Six Flags, Richard A. Zimmerman, said, “As part of our comprehensive review of our park portfolio, we have determined that Six Flags America and Hurricane Harbor are not a strategic fit with the company’s long-term growth plan.” ©Six Flags California’s Great America in Santa Clara, another Six Flags park, is also expected to close in 2027. The park has not decided whether to extend its lease, and Chief Financial Officer Brian Witherow said, “Unless we decide to extend, and exercise one of our options to extend that lease, that park’s last year without that extension would be after the ’27 season.” It’s likely not looking good if the Chief Financial Officer is discussing not extending. ©Six Flags Dixie Landin’ Theme Park and Blue Bayou ©Dixie Landin’ In Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the park was open for two weeks, from May 23rd to June 2nd, before announcing it would close. The park had already announced that it wouldn’t reopen Blue Bayou, the water park, in the 2025 season. The park’s owner says that Blue Bayou might reopen next year, but Dixie Landin’ would be permanently closed due to a lack of attendance. ©Dixie Landin’ While this isn’t exactly a permanent closure, we wanted to give a special shoutout to Sesame Place San Diego, as it has always given us so much nostalgia. The park, dedicated to Sesame Street, closed its doors on September 21st and will remain closed until spring 2026. It’s set to be open on a seasonal basis, but most of our favorite attractions that undergo seasonal closures often end up being permanently closed years later. If Sesame Place San Diego is on your bucket list, we recommend visiting it in 2026, as we’re unsure how long it will remain a seasonal park. ©Sesame Street Place We hate seeing so many theme parks close, but we’re always looking ahead to what’s next. No matter how hard you plan, things might still pop up on your Disney World vacation that you weren’t expecting. That’s why it’s always a good idea to pay attention to the latest closures! Kali River Rapids If you’ve got an upcoming trip to Disney World planned, we need to warn you about an imminent ride closure at Kali River Rapids in Animal Kingdom. Kali River Rapids in the Asia section of Animal Kingdom will close on October 6th and is expected to reopen sometime in December. However, an official reopening date has not been announced. Kali River Rapids We typically see this closure happen during the winter months, but it’s taking place a bit earlier than normal this year. As the name suggests, Kali River Rapids is a river rapids ride — meaning you will definitely get wet! We recommend bringing an extra pair of clothes or shoes and being prepared to throw on your rain poncho if you’re planning on riding it before it goes under refurbishment. Kali River Rapids Earlier in September, we had to say goodbye to the Boneyard, DinoLand USA’s playground, as it closed to make way for the Tropical Americas transformation, Pueblo Esperanza. DinoLand is currently closing in phases, and the final areas of the land will be closing on February 2nd, 2025. Construction in August 2025 Don’t forget that Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, and Spaceship Earth will all be closed through October as well. We’ll be on the lookout for more updates about ride closures at Disney World. There are SO many great options for dining at Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe, and we’ve been to every single restaurant there, at this point. But there’s still more food we need to try, so we just keep going back. Café L’air De La Sirène Now, we’ve been to Cafe L’air de la Sirene Restaurant in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic before, but we recently returned to the restaurant to try out more of the menu. So what did we think? Well, we’re going to tell you! Cafe L’air de la Sirene feels like a real Parisian restaurant, even if it sits in the middle of a theme park. There’s outdoor dining, like you would find at any authentic French cafe, but there’s also indoor dining in a gorgeous interior that makes it feel so very, VERY French. The restaurant also offers Mobile Order, so ordering your food is super easy. Cafe L’air de la Sirene Let’s just get right to dessert (you know, the good part). The Crêpe Citronnée aux Chambord for $19.99 is made with lemon cream cheese, Chambord sauce, and fresh berries wrapped in a delicate crêpe. This crêpe is so light and fruity and has a nice level of citrus flavor in the filling. It’s not as sweet or rich as the Butterbeer Crêpe, so if you’re looking for something lighter, this could be a good choice. Crêpe Citronnée Okay, so we have a confession to make. This wasn’t our favorite crêpe. Nope, our favorite crêpe can be found on the Kids Menu. It’s the Petite Crêpe, which is a classic Nutella banana crepe topped with whipped cream and berries. The portion size is actually really good for adults who want a light breakfast. And yep, it’s our fave here. Petite Crêpe Speaking of classics, we also ordered the Crème Brûlée with vanilla bean custard with fresh berries for $6.99. So we have a word of warning: this is not a dessert you want to eat outside when it’s hot and humid out. It quickly lost its crispy top, which is part of what makes for a great crème brûlée. So keep that in mind if you’re thinking of ordering it. Overall, though, it’s still tasty. Crème Brûlée Café L’air De La Sirène really does give us the feeling that we’re eating at a Parisian cafe, and the crêpes here are always a solid choice. If you’re craving a little something sweet, don’t sleep on this restaurant! So, we won’t lie, we think a trip to Disney World is great for whatever ails you. Let’s just say that when we’re in Disney World, our mental health improves by 100%, but it’s also a bit of a workout, too…PLUS an exercise in endurance (seriously, think about how you feel at the end of a week there). Main Street, U.S.A. BUT…did you know Disney World could also be the cure for something known as “dead butt” syndrome? Well, it can — and we’re going to explain what that is and how a Disney World trip can make it all better. According to Forbes, “dead butt syndrome” is a very real thing. It’s actually called “gluteal amnesia” (but “dead butt syndrome is way more fun to say, right?). Basically, it happens when the glute muscles in your backside can’t quite do what they’re supposed to do. This generally can happen if you spend a lot of time sitting, which deconditions those muscles. And a lot of us have office jobs where we do just that, right? Donald sitting It makes sense. These muscles are like any other muscle in the body…if you don’t use them often, they begin to weaken. Weakened glute muscles can affect a variety of other body parts, too, including putting extra pressure on your joints and muscles in your lower back, hips, and everything below that. This could result in other injuries, balance problems, and hip joint wear and tear. Ouch. BUT…there’s a way to cure it! Get OFF your butt and move around. Well, our favorite place to move around…a lot…is Disney World. Think about it…where else are you going to get tens of thousands of steps in EVERY day? It’s incredible the kind of exercise we’re all willing to do when we’re in the magic, right? Walking around Disney World is good for you! According to Women’s Health, walking is the best way to cure dead butt syndrome, but also the best way to prevent it. So the next time someone asks you why you’re going to Disney World again, just tell them that it’s for your health. No more dead butt! Stay tuned to DFB for more. It’s a Germ Fest! Did you know there is an exclusive donut store tucked away at Disney World? You can find this donut store at Disney Springs, serving up some unique donut creations — as well as classic flavors we all know and love! It can be easy to walk right by without noticing it, as it’s located down a side street between the AMC Theater and Splitsville Luxury Lanes, but we think you should make a stop by this shop! Strawberry Iced & Sprinkles It is called Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew, and as you can probably guess by the name, it serves up donuts and cold brew (plus some delicious chicken tenders!) We recently stopped by to review this restaurant’s main attraction and find out which donuts are the top 3 donuts at this exclusive donut store. Atmosphere Like we said before, it can be easy to miss this donut store, but Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew is worth a stop! Especially if you are on the hunt for a donut or sweet treat. As you head towards the store, you will spot a large mural on the wall and there is even a little donut truck sitting in front of the store. Once you are inside the store, you will be able to browse the menu and admire the wall of donuts behind the workers. Everglazed Donut & Cold Brew You will place your order at the counter. If you are just ordering donuts, the worker will package them up for you right then and there. Otherwise, if you are ordering a drink or some chicken tenders, you will need to wait for your order to be prepared after you have paid. Order at the counter The restaurant features both indoor and outdoor seating. There are a decent number of tables, but during busy times, it may be harder to find one. The good news is that donuts are easy to grab and go, or you can just wait a bit, and a table will likely open up! Seating But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?! Menu Of course, you will find lots of donut options here! Sometimes they will also offer special donut flavors, and the flavors might switch up, so always take some time to look at all the flavors. There are three different categories of donuts, the first one is Classic Donuts. You will find lots of classic flavors like glazed, strawberry iced, and chocolate iced donuts. ©Disney There is also The Funky Bunch, which include flavors like Fruity Pebbles, Nutella Boston Cream, and Maple Double Bacon. ©Disney There is also a category of donuts called Super Funky. This category includes flavors like Peanut Butter Explosion, Brooklyn Blackout, Apple Streusel, and more. ©Disney In addition to donuts, you can also find some options for Sandwiches. ©Disney Plus, you can grab some Chicken Tenders. We are huge fans of these tenders! You can also add some classic fries or spicy fries to your order. ©Disney There are also options for Cold Brew & Coffee. ©Disney And you can even add a topper to your drink! These are drinks that include a donut inserted onto the straw. Coffee and a donut! ©Disney Everglazed also offers Iced Specialties and Cold Brew Classics. ©Disney Or you can grab a Blender or EG Refresher. ©Disney Finally, there is also the option for soft drinks like Coca-Cola sodas, lemonade, and bottled water. ©Disney And now, onto the main event — which Everglazed donuts are the best? Let’s find out! Eats Alright, you caught us. When you walk inside Everglazed your eyes are immediately drawn to the display cases where the flavors of donuts are kept. Honestly, we need to learn the meaning of self control because we instantly knew we couldn’t cap this at just 3 flavors — we had to go bigger! We decided to try out six of the donuts offered at Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew. The prices for the donuts vary from $4.95 to $6.95. Classic flavors are $4.95, The Funky Bunch flavors are $6.50, and the Super Funky flavors are $6.95. Since we were ranking these doughnuts, we figured we’d review the best of what this restaurant has to offer. Here’s how they all stacked up! Fruity Pebbles Coming in at number 6 on our list (only because something HAD to be last) is the Fruity Pebbles donut. Fruity Pebbles This was by far the sweetest of the six flavors we ranked which ultimately led to it’s ranking downfall (to be fair thought they’re ALL very sweet). However, this one was a bit more like an overwhelmingly sweet than just some expected sweetness to the donut. Cross section of Fruity Pebbles The fruity pebbles on top added a great crunchy texture that works well against the fluffy donut waiting just below in your bite. They definitely had that distinctive taste of fruity pebbles cereal — very sweet and artificial fruitiness. If you are a lover of Fruity Pebbles cereal, you’re definitely going to love this donut! Classic Glazed The Classic Glazed donut rings in at number 5 in our ranking. Classic Glazed The sweet, glazed icing was well coated over the whole donut and it gave that satisfying crackle when you tear into it. But, at the end of the day, it’s the expected texture of a classic glazed donut. So fluffy! We found ours to be perfectly sweet and exactly what you would expect for a glazed donut, which just goes on to prove you don’t want to sleep on the classic flavors here. Cookies & Cream Hitting a little harder towards the lower middle of the list at number 4 is the Cookies & Cream donut. Cookies & Cream The frosting on this one is creamy and tastes like a sweet milk. It tastes a lot like the filling of an Oreo cookie. Speaking of Oreo, there are also Oreo pieces and crumbles mixed in on the top of the donut which added a bit of crunchiness and some chocolate flavor. Half of the Cookies & Cream If you thought the Oreo madness stopped there, you’re wrong, because there’s also a whole Oreo cookie on top waiting for you to dig into it, too! This is a donut that DEFINITELY lives up to its name. Strawberry Iced & Sprinkles Now we’re getting into the top-tier elite flavors with Strawberry Iced & Sprinkles donut bringing home the number 3 spot. Strawberry Iced & Sprinkles The frosting on this one also added a good amount of flavor to it. It actually tastes like a strawberry milk, similar to the same consistency like the Oreo flavor we just talked about. Actually, if you consider yourself a bit of donut connoisseur, you might find that the strawberry flavor tastes a lot like the frosting on a Dunkin strawberry donut (just a bit more milky in flavor). Cross section of this donut It’s paired well with the strawberry flavor that you can tell is a bit artificial tasting versus tasting like they mashed up a strawberry to make it. Maple Double Bacon Falling just shy of first place at number 2 is the Maple Double Bacon donut — and as a head’s up, smoked bacon lovers are going to fall in love with this one real fast! Maple Double Bacon The bacon on top of this donut has a lot of smoky flavor to it, and it’s the most prominent flavor when you first bite into it. After that taste has settled a bit, you start to taste the maple icing below which together makes a great combo of salty and sweet. Half of the Maple Double Bacon What really sold us on this one was the fact that you’ll really taste the bacon on this donut and it doesn’t get lost in the icing or donut itself. The icing on this one is light and buttery, and has a lovely maple flavor to it! Chocolate Iced Donut Taking home the title of superior number 1 flavor at Everglazed Donuts is the Chocolate Iced Donut! Chocolate Iced The chocolate icing spread on the top of this one lends a nice and strong chocolate flavor to the donut. It’s creamy and almost like a milk chocolate ganache. Half of the Chocolate Iced It tasted more like a rich chocolate flavor than we’re used to tasting on chocolate iced donuts — almost like a fudgy milk chocolate. To say we really enjoyed this one would be an understatement! Nosh or Not This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if… You love a good donut! If you’re craving something sweet and fluffy, this is the number one spot to stop into. You’re a big fan of adventurous flavors. Looking for something that will kick up the flavor palate a notch? They’ve got tons of options for you here. You’re looking for a bigger snack that won’t leave you hungry later. Or if you’re up for sharing, we’re not here to judge either. You should skip this Disney World spot if… You’re NOT into sweet donuts. While they’re super pretty to look at, we get that donuts just don’t jive the same way for everyone. These donuts are WAY too big for you. If you’re not able to share, and don’t want to take a donut on the run with you during your stroll at Disney Springs, we get why you’d feel inclined to skip a stop here. You’re into more savory snacks than sweet. Everything here really is on a whole other level of sweetness. Overall Of course, your milage and opinions may vary from our experience, however, we’d say this spot definitely knows the make up of a great donut. All the donuts have the same base, which are all super fluffy and thick. But fair warning, these donuts are BIG! You can definitely tell they are made fresh as the inside is lovely and soft, and the icings were all great textured which didn’t make the donut soggy. It’s very hard not to be impressed with the quality of the donuts and their expertise in crafting the perfect topping pairings! So many donuts! Okay, we’re not going to lie, we’ve been to Japan a few times, and the food is just…like…well, it’s superior, and yes, we’re saying that even about the food in Tokyo Disneyland. ©7-Eleven But the food is great pretty much everywhere in Japan, including at convenience stores. There’s one little item everyone especially loves, and it’s the egg sandwich — don’t come at us because those sandwiches are HIGHLY popular. Well, the company that owns 7-Eleven wants to bring Japanese-style convenience stores to the U.S., including those egg sandwiches! 7-Eleven’s parent company is based in Japan, and, according to The New York Times, that includes bringing the infamous egg sandwich to 7-Eleven locations in the U.S. YES! Anyone who has ever visited Japan has learned about these delicious sandwiches, which are highly popular with both tourists and locals. They’re made with Japanese milk bread that, along with Japanese mayonnaise, creates a pillow for the fresh egg salad to exist between. ©7-Eleven Convenience stores are a significant part of Japanese daily life because they are known for offering high-quality, fresh food. We’re talking bento boxes, as well as the egg salad sandwiches that celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain once called “pillows of love.” Stephen Dacus, the chief executive of Seven & i Holdings, the 7-Eleven parent company, is behind a push to bring this same experience to U.S. 7-Eleven locations. ©7-Eleven Let’s face it, American convenience stores aren’t necessarily known for their food (save for maybe Buc-ees), so Dacus wants to bring the idea of convenience stores as food destinations to 7-Elevens. “Whether it’s hot food or cold food or any kind of food, we have to lean into how we improve the quality and the experience,” he said. “That’s what Japan does extraordinarily well.” The company has plans to invest more than $13 billion in upgrading U.S. 7-Elevens, including refreshing existing locations, adding in-store restaurants, and creating a larger network of food providers for the stores. Dacus also confirmed that egg sandwiches would be coming to U.S. stores. ©7-Eleven There isn’t a specific timeline when this might happen in U.S. 7-Eleven stores, and at the moment, it seems to only be a plan. However, we’re 100% behind the egg sandwich making its way to the U.S., so we hope it’s sooner, rather than later. Stay tuned to DFB for more. If you’re looking for the ultimate Disney essential, you need to get on Amazon right now! ODODOS Daily Sling Bag We found the perfect small park bag, and it’s made our Disney World trips 10 times easier. If you’ve got a Disney trip planned, we seriously think you should consider grabbing this beforehand! DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. We love the ODODOS Sling Bag Trying out the ODODOS Daily Sling Bag! Check out the ODODOS Daily Sling Bag! It’s a small sling bag for the parks for anyone who wants a smaller bag, but needs organization and doesn’t want a fanny pack. We’ll let you know right now, it’s definitely worth the money! The bag is small but somehow SO roomy. There are 3 pockets to use, a main pocket, a smaller inner pocket that doesn’t zip, and a tiny front pocket. The straps are also adjustable, and there’s a small pocket on the back. Easy to organize! This one surprised us — we had no expectations for it, but it fit SO MUCH compared to what we anticipated. The biggest pro to the bag is feeling like we can carry everything we need, have extra room, and it not be a massive bag. To be honest, there isn’t anything we’d change about it! A must-grab! If we have one complaint, it won’t fit things like a poncho or umbrella easily, but that’s the normal trade-off of a small bag — it can just be tough in this Florida weather. If you need a bag slightly bigger than a fanny but smaller than a full backpack, bring this — it made our trip so much easier. Not to mention it was SUPER comfortable and helpful. It had the perfect pockets for a phone, wallet, and cords. Back pocket We think it’s of much better quality than other bags we’ve purchased for sure, and it fits a lot more than others have. When we’re looking for a bag, we want a high-quality material, an easy-to-move strap, and lots of compartments for organization. This had all of that!
