  1. We recently stopped by Disneyland Paris, and we were blown away! Champagne on Main Street! This park is undergoing a lot of changes right now, but one thing has stayed the same — one of the most iconic things to do in this park is have a glass of champagne on Main Street. The first thing we did after stepping into the park was head straight to the cart to grab a sip, and we’re bringing you along with us! In Disneyland Paris, you can find a few things! A gorgeous castle, a dragon’s lair, and Phantom Manor are just a few things that come to mind. On Main Street, if you head straight to the end and turn right, you’ll find The Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor and a tiny little cart with snacks and drinks next to it. Main Street in Disneyland Paris! At this cart, you can find popcorn, chips, drinks, and, of course, champagne! Right now, the champagne comes in a collector’s flute for 20€. That’s roughly $24 for anyone curious. Not only is it cool to say you got to have this fancy experience, but this champagne was made specifically for Disneyland Paris! The cart on Main Street! Before ordering, you can check out the specific bottle and label made specifically for this park. The champagne bottle! When we were ordering our drinks, the Cast Member had to open a new bottle of champagne. After doing so, the Cast Member was kind enough to give us the cork as a free souvenir! The cork! Enough about where to find it, though, how did the drink taste? Honestly, we loved it! The champagne! This drink was bubbly and bright. It was perfectly refreshing, and it wasn’t overly sweet or too dry. One thing we appreciated was that the taste was right down the middle between sweet and dry, making it more palatable for the masses. If you’re looking for something overly sweet, this won’t be the drink for you. Have a sip! At the end of the day, it really is just champagne. It won’t be the most expensive or best you’ve ever had, but it is really enjoyable and nicer than others we’ve tried in the past. What sets this apart is that it’s made just for this park. We got it more than once! This beverage won’t change your life, but we do think this is such a fun and special experience, so we highly recommend it when stopping by Disneyland Paris. Not only does it make you feel fancy, but it’s also a fun souvenir to bring home with you to reminisce on happy times. As always, be sure to keep following DFB for more Disney reviews, updates, and more. 3. There has been some sneaky construction happening in Disney World recently, but we are ON THE JOB. Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios We’ve been keeping an eye on several ongoing projects recently, from new lands to ride refurbishments and everything in between. But one particular project has been a little mysterious and intriguing — the construction currently happening in Toy Story Land. Now, we know that a new snack stand is coming! A permit was just filed for construction in Toy Story Land recently, and you know what that permit is titled?! “DHS Toy Story Snack Kiosk!” That’s right, it looks like we could be getting a brand-new snack stand in Toy Story Land. Toy Story Land construction We’ve been watching construction near the Galaxy’s Edge-side entrance to Toy Story Land for several weeks now. Much of this space is covered in construction walls, and it has been difficult to make out what’s going on, but we’d heard rumors that there was a snack stand getting installed. Now, the permit seems to confirm our hopes, though there hasn’t been an official announcement from Disney yet. Walls everywhere! This area of the land didn’t really have much going on before, except for some backstage entrances and themed foliage. Currently, the walls cover part of the Toy Story Land side as well as some space into Galaxy’s Edge. We’ll be interested to see if they include any seating for the snack stand. Galaxy’s Edge-side construction Food in Toy Story Land has long been a hot topic. Woody’s Lunch Box is the only quick service spot here, and it’s beloved, but it has been rather difficult to find a seat there in the past, and Mobile Order windows fill up FAST due to its popularity. Roundup Rodeo BBQ opened in 2023 as the land’s only table service option, but it has received mixed reviews over time. The land hasn’t had a true snack stand, outside of some beverage and ice cream novelty carts. Woody’s Lunch Box The permit filed for the construction of a snack stand is a notice of commencement, with a goal to “install set elements” in the area. The contractor is Mecca Productions, Inc., which did some set and fabrication work for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure as well. We’ll be keeping a close eye on this construction, and we’ll let you know if anything changes. Stay tuned to DFB for the latest Disney World news. 4. When you visit Walt Disney World, the rides, parades, and fireworks might be what you remember most, but none of that magic would shine the same way without the Cast Members. By the castle facing down Main Street From the smiling face that welcomes you at the gate to the performer who brings your favorite character to life, every Cast Member plays a role in creating that unforgettable Disney experience. They’re the heart and soul of the parks, working tirelessly behind the scenes and onstage to make sure the magic feels real for every guest. And while many roles get the spotlight, some of the most beloved Cast Members are the ones doing the hardest, and let’s be honest, messiest jobs in Disney World. When you think of your favorite Disney Cast Member, you might picture a friendly Jungle Cruise skipper cracking corny jokes, or maybe the Dapper Dans serenading down Main Street. But ask any seasoned Disney fan, and they’ll tell you who the real MVPs are. These are the ones who have quite literally the crummiest job in the park: the horse poop cleaners. Horse-drawn trolly That’s right. Every time Disney brings out its majestic horses, whether pulling a trolley down Main Street or trotting proudly during a parade, Cast Members are trailing right behind them, dustpan and broom in hand, ready for action. And when they march by, guests love to cheer for them. Loudly. Because Disney fans know these Cast Members are saving the magic, one scoop at a time. And let’s be real: their timing is spot on. The instant a horse leaves a little “pixie present” behind, swoosh — it’s gone, like magic. Kids giggle, adults clap, and the whole crowd shows some love for the Cast Members who turn the worst job in Disney World into one of the most beloved. Boo to You Parade And when it comes to Disney’s horses, the magic starts at Tri-Circle-D Ranch at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. This is where the famous horses that pull the Main Street trolleys appear in parades, and even carry the Headless Horseman call home. The ranch is a beautiful, state-of-the-art facility where guests can actually stop by to see the horses, learn about their care, and get a glimpse of how Disney ensures these animals are treated like royalty. It’s a charming reminder that even Disney’s four-legged Cast Members have a special place in the magic. Horses at Tri Circle D So next time you’re at Walt Disney World and you see those Cast Members trailing behind the horses, give them an extra round of applause. They may not wear fancy costumes or headline the show, but they’re proof that even the toughest job can still make you a fan favorite. Hi buddy! We appreciate all Cast Members for everything they do, because without them, there would be no magic. For more Disney World stories, follow us at DFB! 5. If you were just getting used to navigating your Disney+ bundled service in one app, Disney’s just announced a few changes you want to pay close attention to! ©Disney With Disney continuing to hone in on its streaming services and adding new titles and content every month, it stands to reason we could expect even more change in store soon for Disney+. If you were just getting used to being able to access your bundled Disney+ and Hulu subscriptions from one place simultaneously, Disney’s looking to make your experience even easier in the weeks to come thanks to this HUGE announcement! Beginning October 8th, Hulu will become the global General Entertainment brand on Disney+. This means that overnight, Hulu will be replacing Star in international markets. ©Hulu While we’ve known for a while that Disney planned to continue the integration of Hulu and Disney+, this is Disney’s latest step toward a fully integrated unified app experience expected by next year. With this latest announcement, streaming users will begin to see further integrations of Hulu across the Disney+ app as it continues to update its homepage and beyond. This change will start the beginning of a series of design and navigation enhancements rolling out over the coming weeks and months, which will be intended to offer a more dynamic and intuitive experience for streaming users. ©Disney So what exactly are the changes you can expect to see soon on your Disney+ streaming app? Let’s take a closer look! Simplified Navigation and UX Design As these updates roll out, streaming users will see a new navigation bar added to the top of the homepage. With this change, the “For You” tab will be the first screen subscribers will see when they click into Disney+. “For You” will serve as the app’s home base for recommended viewing, powered by an updated algorithm intended to learn its users’ preferences over time. There will also be streaming platform-specific tabs for Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN, depending on your subscription, making it easier to scroll through each catalog individually. ©Disney Additionally, a Live hub will take you straight into the latest live news, sports, and events, as well as streams available 24/7. You’ll also want to look for new badging tags like “Season Finale,” “New Series,” and “New Movie” to show what’s unique and timely right now in the app for your favorite shows. Even More Personalized Recommendations Disney’s been working to evolve and advance its personalized video algorithm, which is intended to learn and improve over time. All of this work has gone into improving its recommendation and personalization for the content offered in the new “For You” tab as well as other touchpoints throughout the app. ©Disney To be certain that the algorithm is learning on your specific viewing profile, Disney will be making profiles more prominent across the app. This is an effort that you will find titles personally recommended for you based on your unique viewing habits. A More Dynamic Homepage Along with the other updates, Disney hopes to bring a more modern design to its streaming app and homepage that brings its characters and stories front and center. ©Disney You’ll notice changes to the pages through the integration of conveniences like Hero carousels and more dynamic brand rows showcasing the latest titles. Disney will also be updating its content sets to feature more cinematic poster-style artwork. ©Disney While most of these design updates will apply to Disney+ being streamed on TVs, Disney’s also not counting out updates to the mobile version of its popular streaming app. Widgets will be launching on iOS, allowing you even more convenience to access your favorite shows and movies with one click. And later in 2026, Disney aims to introduce mobile-first and mobile-exclusive experiences meant to engage with new audiences and expand its growing reach. While these are certainly exciting enhancements already planned to come to Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN, they are just the beginning. Even more updates are planned to be released ahead of the launch of a unified app experience expected to be revealed next year. 6. Ride closures for refurbishment or updates are pretty common in Disney World, and right now, several rides are closed. In Magic Kingdom, both Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad are closed to get updates. Spaceship Earth Meanwhile, in EPCOT, Spaceship Earth is closed for a refurbishment. The good news is that these closure are temporary, and we now know when Spaceship Earth will reopen — on October 25th. Yes, you’ll soon be able to once again listen to Judi Dench explaining the history of communication to you while riding on what could be one of the most chill rides in Disney World. So how do we know when Spaceship Earth will reopen? The hours for the ride on the Disney World website indicate that it will be open on October 25th. Now, that could change (and that has happened before), but this all but confirms that you’ll soon be able to ride it again. Spaceship Earth Now this has nothing to do with the once-promised BIG update Spaceship Earth was going to get. Back in 2019, Disney revealed plans to change the ride inside the big ball, including new narration, new scenes, and more. Anyone who’s been on Spaceship Earth recently pretty much knows that the ride is, more or less, pretty outdated, after all. Thank the Phoenicians BUT, of course, 2020 happened, and a lot of projects got thrown into the trash, including the plans to update Spaceship Earth. But, hey, at least the exterior lighting got a huge upgrade. So for now, though, this recent refurbishment probably consisted more of maintenance than anything. Spaceship Earth’s lightning got upgraded We’ll be keeping an eye out for Spaceship Earth’s reopening and will be there on October 25th to stand in line to see if anything has changed, so stay tuned to DFB for more. 8. Something wicked is coming to Magic Kingdom, and we simply cannot wait, so when Disney shared a new look at the inspiration for this land, we took our seats quickly to learn a thing or two. Villains Land ©Disney At D23 in 2024, Disney FINALLY announced the expansion that fans have been waiting for: a land dedicated entirely to the Disney Villains. We’ve already seen concept art for the land, and we know a little bit about what it will offer. There will be new dining and shopping available, as well as TWO major attractions in the space. It seriously looks incredible from the artwork! But recently, we got a better look at what will inspire this new area. At D23 in August 2025, Disney told us about their research trips and finding specific architecture to add to the theming of the new land. They wanted certain elements to represent the villains throughout. ©Disney As conversations began about the new land, it became clear it was “critical to reflect the look and feel of the characters’ animation in the land’s physical structures and appearance.” So the teams set off to Paris, France, and Barcelona, Spain, to learn about each city’s architecture and its unique attributes. Disney Imagineers checked out details such as stained-glass windows and metal detailing. ©Disney They studied the Art Nouveau style, which was big in the late 1800s. Imagineers spoke with local professors and art and architectural historians to bring the details to life. ©Disney Imagineers loved the natural motifs and swirling designs, and how they reminded them of cursed magic stuck in time. Barcelona’s art style is Modernisme, which has fewer natural patterns but gives the architecture an otherworldly, unnerving appearance. Disney mentioned they are looking for how to “bring the beautiful, deep jewel tones of the animated villains to life in the land’s buildings.” ©Disney The team coined the term “Conjured Architecture.” This refers to the blend of historical components and fantastical worlds that have merged to ultimately create something wicked that will be able to be experienced firsthand – a villain-inspired land. ©Disney From these photos that the team shared at D23, we can start to see the hints of what they are looking at to implement into Magic Kingdom. ©Disney While there is still so much to learn about the new land coming to Magic Kingdom, this gives us a peek into the decision-making process that will bring these buildings to life! ©Disney They also shared their inspiration photos next to some classic Disney villains, and we can’t help but notice the similarities in the art! ©Disney We will keep you updated as we get more information about Villains Land and other expansions coming to Disney World. 9. The Walt Disney World specialty license plate just hit a major milestone in raising $5 million for Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida. The pixie dusted state plate has helped grant wishes for more than 600 kids with critical illnesses — including Maddie’s, a wish kid from Melbourne who is battling leukemia and wished to spend a day with Disney royalty. A Disney Princess Wish Come True A Disney wish is granted every hour of every day, and this one was filled with so much adventure thanks to several of the most beloved Disney heroes and heroines. As a big fan of princesses, 10-year-old Maddie wanted to spend some time with them. Once they heard the news, the royal court planned the best day ever, starting with a welcome from Rapunzel and Flynn at Magic Kingdom. They rode Prince Charming Regal Carrousel together, searched for everyone’s favorite rascal, Pascal, and played hide and seek all throughout Fantasyland. Maddie even got to show off her inner strength by pulling THE sword out of the stone… a feat her dad attempted too, but the sword didn’t budge an inch. Maddie’s royal day of fun also included a special journey under the sea, where she met Princess Ariel and Prince Eric. They talked all about Ariel’s gadgets, gizmos, whozits and whatzits, but Maddie’s favorite moment was learning Sebastian’s signature dance move: the crab walk. “This trip to Walt Disney World means so much to our family and Maddie. It’s so special to see her playing and having fun with her sister around the parks. I can tell she’s just so happy to be here and doing something fun outside of the hospital,” Maddie’s mom said. Click the picture to see the full video How did the Walt Disney World license plate help grant this wish? 100% of the proceeds from purchases of the Walt Disney World license plate go directly to Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida. The local chapter then uses the funds to grant wishes for Florida kids and their families. The Disney plates — which feature the iconic Cinderella Castle atop a vibrant blue gradient background — have become one of the most popular in Florida, raising $5 million for Make-A-Wish since its debut and ranking among the state’s top 8 plates. “We are so grateful for the Disney Specialty License Plate and how it helps grant wishes like Maddie’s — wishes that inspire hope, strength, and joy for the entire family during some of their darkest times,” said Anne Cuba, President and CEO of Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida. “A Disney wish has the power to transform a child’s life. We always say that wishes are more than just a moment, they mark a turning point in a child’s journey and provide memories for years to come.” Disney and Make-A-Wish have teamed up for more than 45 years to grant wishes around the world. More than 170,000 Disney wishes have come true over that time – whether through individual wishes like Maddie’s or through large-scale events like Once Upon A Wish Party, where dozens of Disney Princess wishes are granted at one time. How to Purchase the Walt Disney World License Plate More Disney license plates on the road means more wishes granted for Florida families. Florida drivers can purchase a Walt Disney World specialty license plate at any Florida DMV or local County Tax Collector’s Office (online or in person). 14. Orlando Science Center is now home to a baby red-rumped agouti, an animal recently born inside the “Life” exhibit at the Loch Haven Park museum. The late July arrival was both a surprise and part of a bigger plan, said Shannon Zimmerman, curator of conservation and welfare. The addition is in conjunction with a Species Survival Plan developed by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. Already at Orlando Science Center were Stimpy, a male agouti moved from San Francisco, and Brooke, a female brought in from North Florida. “They are both animals that were recommended to us to come together, to breed and, lo and behold, out of all of the animals within that SSP, these two actually were successful in it,” Zimmerman said. It was the first agouti to be born within the plan since 2020, she said. The red-rumped agouti – also known as Brazilian agouti – is a rodent and most closely related to guinea pigs, Zimmerman said, but many people think they look like baby capybaras. The gender of the newborn has not been determined yet. Its weight a few days after birth was 280 grams — just short of 10 ounces. By the end of August, the weight was 726 grams (1.6 pounds). The next exam and weigh-in is scheduled for next month. The three agoutis have been on display since the July birth. Human visitors check out the mammals as do the neighboring tamarins. “They were definitely inquisitive. They were checking baby out when it was first born. But no real challenge,” Zimmerman said. “It’s always just the food-management side of things that we’re trying to figure out.” The tamarins enjoy the macadamia nuts given to the agouti, which have the rare ability to crack open a Brazil nut with their teeth. That makes them useful in the Brazilian rainforest, helping with dispersal and the growth of trees, Zimmerman said. The newborn agouti and its mother explore the 'Life' exhibit at Orlando Science Center. (Rich Pope/Orlando Sentinel) The “Life” exhibit opened in 2024 on the ground floor of the science center. It features distinct rainforest, swamp and ocean environments and is home to free-flying birds, fish, turtles, sharks, squirrels, a sloth and more. The science center is in the Pathway Toward Membership program, an application process for AZA accreditations and certifications. The newborn will be named after gender is determined, and that also will play a role in where the AZA sends the new agouti to continue its breeding program. But it could be that parents Stimpy and Brooke have been busy agouti again. “We have seen … breeding behaviors, we’ll call them … since this baby was born,” Zimmerman said. During Brooke’s last pregnancy, it wasn’t clear she was expecting until days before the birth. The science center generally has a hands-on care policy, so there were no sonograms or procedures. “They have a very quick turnover rate, so mom could be pregnant already,” she said. “That would be great news.” dbevil@orlandosentinel.com View the full article

No matter how prepared you are, no matter how many checklists you have, no matter how often you double-check, there’s still a chance that you’ll forget an essential item while packing for a Walt Disney World vacation. So what are you to do? Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Well, if you’re staying at a certain Disney World hotel, they have a hidden gem that should be able to fulfill any need you have. Shh! You can find a CVS Pharmacy vending machine tucked away in a quiet corner of the Walt Disney World Swan Resort! To find it, keep going down the hall from Java. The prices seem pretty consistent with what you’d see at a typical pharmacy, so if you’re looking for a stick of deodorant or some medicine, maybe check here before hitting the hotel gift shop. Vending Machine The vending machine has cold medicine, allergy relief medication, Ibuprofen, antacid tablets, razors, deodorant, and more! Plus, it’s open 24/7, so if the hotel gift shop is closed, you don’t have to wait until it reopens! The Dolphin Speaking of hotel gift shops, we should mention that the Swan & Dolphin Resort is a little different. It’s not a standard Disney gift shop because, technically, this isn’t a Disney hotel! These Disney Adult EPCOT Hacks Are Getting Out of Control While the hotel is located right next to resorts like Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club and BoardWalk, the Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin Resort is actually NOT owned by Disney. The resort is a Marriott Hotel. (That means you can use and earn Marriott Bonvoy reward points, people!) 16. Walt Disney World offers a plethora of dining options across property. From quick service eateries to a MICHELIN Star-winning restaurant, there’s seemingly something for everyone. However, that doesn’t mean everything is for everyone. Goat Cheese Cappelletti From the countless restaurants inside Disney World’s four parks to those located at each hotel on property, as well as in Disney’s BoardWalk area and Disney Springs, there are some that we would argue should have an age minimum in place, at least during certain times of day. We know that might sound like sacrilege since Walt Disney World is a family destination first and foremost, but it wouldn’t be without precedent. Now, to start, we want to preface by saying that we’re not saying kids shouldn’t be allowed at these restaurants AT ALL — we’re just saying that, at a certain late hour of the night, maybe it’s time for an 18+ or 21+ experience (and kids are usually exhausted and going to bed by this time anyway). Something similar to what Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto and Tiki Bar at Disney’s Polynesian Village does! After 8PM each night, only guests 21+ are admitted to Trader Sam’s, and we think that would do well to be applied to a few more places (with maybe a slightly later start time). Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort First up on our list is California Grill. This restaurant is typically open until 10PM most nights, with dinner being served from 5-10PM. That’s relatively early, but we do think maybe starting adults-only (or 16+) reservations at 8PM could be beneficial, OR having certain days of the week where dining is adults-only. Families wouldn’t be able to book a reservation on those particular nights and add their kids on, so just in case they miss the statement saying that 1-2 nights a week it’s adults-only dining, they wouldn’t be able to make a reservation only to be disappointed later. California Grill While the panoramic views at this restaurant can be enjoyed by everyone, it is a more upscale environment, which some kids find to be more boring, and sometimes the menu doesn’t appeal to their tastebuds either. However, if you’re an adult visiting and you want to dine here, and hope it’s a little quieter, you can also always check out the lounge! Kids are, of course, allowed in here as well, but since it’s first-come, first-served, many families will prefer a solid reservation to ensure they’ll get to eat. Fireworks out the windows at California Grill Getting a spot at the lounge is never guaranteed, but the earlier you arrive that evening, the better chance you’ll have! Cítricos at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa Next up on the list is also on the Magic Kingdom Hotel area Monorail loop, but we also think Cítricos could benefit from some adults-only or 16+ dining every once in a while, especially around dinner time. Now, this restaurant is typically only open until about 9:30, so here, we think having adults-only reservations begin at 8PM 1-2 days a week, could be beneficial. Cítricos This is another fine-dining establishment, although it’s not as expensive as California Grill, which sits at $60+ per adult for its prix-fixe meal. Attire is expected to match the upscale environment, and while there is a kids menu, it may not be what you want to be spending this money on (for example, a Grilled Cheese Sandwich meal served with JUST a Small Lowfat Milk, Small DASANI® Water, or Small Minute Maid® Apple Juice, is $13.50). Cítricos Lounge There is a lounge here as well, so if you’re visiting soon, be sure to get in line and request a spot in the lounge close to when they open at 5PM. Flying Fish at Disney’s BoardWalk Many guests forget about Disney’s BoardWalk, but it’s just a few minutes away by foot from EPCOT, and is easily accessible by Disney’s Hollywood Studios as well. You don’t need to be staying at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn to check out the dining options over here, one of which is Flying Fish. This is another fine dining restaurant that serves gourmet seafood. Flying Fish Now, the kids menu here is a little more tied to the restaurant’s seafood theme (but there are other options as well, for kids and adults), but again, since the restaurant is open until 9:30PM, we do think adults-only reservations beginning at 8PM (or adults-only dining on certain days of the week) may be a good idea. Flying Fish While Abracadabar is right next door, it doesn’t have the same menu as Flying Fish, which DOESN’T have a lounge. So if you want to try out this menu, dining at the restaurant itself, which ranges in price of $35-$60 per adult, is your only option. Chilean Sea Bass at Flying Fish The concept of minimum age requirement, even if only for certain times a day, wouldn’t be a first for Walt Disney World. In fact, there are several restaurants around the resort that currently have one in place. These include: GEO-82, EPCOT’s newest lounge, is the first full-time 21+ establishment in a Disney theme park. Victoria and Albert’s, the Grand Floridian’s MICHELIN Star-winning signature restaurant, has an age requirement of 10 years old. Takumi-Tei, located in EPCOT’s Japan Pavilion, has an age limit of 8 years old. Monsieur Paul, located in EPCOT’s French Pavilion, has an age limit of 10 years old. 19. A LOT of new things are coming to Disney World. THREE out of the four theme parks are getting new lands, with some parks getting updated rides, experiences, and expansions. It’s WILD. However, we also can’t count out Disney Springs because something new is headed there, too. It’s a gaming experience called Level 99, and something NEW has popped up at this experience’s location: Level 99’s logo and ad is running on the marquee of the building. WOO! LEVEL99 is moving into the old NBA Experience building, so we’ve been keeping an eye on that location. Well, recently we visited the location and something NEW had appeared there. The marquee is flashing the Level 99 logo, as well as a short ad running on a loop advertising the spot. LEVEL99 is coming soon! The ad also shows some of the activities that will be available at the experience. For those who don’t know about LEVEL99, it’s a destination for “real-world, challenge-based, social entertainment” for adults with over 60 physical and mental challenges. It’s a giant real-world, futuristic arcade and entertainment center. The location in Disney Springs will be the largest LEVEL99 to date. The ad Yep, there will be handcrafted food and drinks available at LEVEL99 to keep you fueled between challenges. So you know we’re all in! Next level food? We’re in. There will be three kinds of experiences available at LEVEL99: rooms, duels, and art hunts. Rooms are cooperative games with 2-6 players that can are either physical, skill, or mental challenges. Duels are head-to-head challenges with other players. Art hunts are scavenger hunts where you’re tasked with finding art throughout the space. ©LEVEL99 We haven’t heard any news about LEVEL99 recently, and we were actually starting to get a little worried. However, this seems to be a good sign that this project is still happening, although we don’t have an opening timeline. The building’s previous experience, the NBA Experience, closed in 2020, and nothing has happened in there since. We’re glad to see some progress being made. Stay tuned to DFB for more. 20. Every time we go to Disney Springs, we always find ourselves at a specific dining spot. Now we have even MORE reasons to keep going there — as if we needed any more reasons. Polite Pig’s Signature Cocktail Flight! We love eating at The Polite Pig at Disney Springs, especially for its barbecue! We recently went over there — not for food this time, but because they had a NEW cocktail flight — and we’re here to share our thoughts! We go to The Polite Pig for many things, so we were thrilled to find out about the new Signature Cocktail Flight available for $21. The flight includes four different drinks — Grapefruit Margarita, Vodka Lemonade, Polite Punch, and Sangria. Let us tell you, they all looked delicious! Signature Cocktail Flight First, we got a taste of the Grapefruit Margarita. It offered a citrus-like taste, giving it a very refreshing feel. If you didn’t know this was grapefruit before trying it, you would definitely be able to tell by its flavor. It had a tangy and almost bitter taste to it. The lime wedge offered a great additional flavor to the drink. If you like grapefruit, we think you’d enjoy this one! Grapefruit Margarita! We were very excited to try the Vodka Lemonade. We thought by the look of it that it would be like pink lemonade, and sure enough, it tasted like a sweeter pink lemonade. Although there wasn’t any semblance of tanginess in the drink. This drink is dangerous; the vodka is so smooth you can’t really tell it’s there, other than the slight flavor indicating it was. If you prefer fruity and sweeter drinks, and not a lot of taste of alcohol taste, this one is for you! Vodka Lemonade! Alright, let us tell you about our favorite one, the Polite Punch. It was like a real thin version of a fruit punch, but it had an orange-citrus sort of twist to it. The fruit punch flavor was almost nostalgic, like drinking out of a juice box at the park (adult version). If you like fruit punch with a little orange flavor in there, don’t miss out on this one! Polite Punch! Last, but certainly not least, we tried the Sangria. We would say this had a more well-rounded taste. It was pretty heavy on the backend, but not in a bad way. It had an excellent mix of sweet and sour at the same time. If you like sangrias, you won’t go wrong with this. Sangria! Overall, we think this is a really great value for those who want to try all the different signature drinks available at The Polite Pig. This flight is a great way to try out all the options in smaller portions so you can decide which one you like best. We found out we would personally get a full-size Polite Punch or Vodka Lemonade. Not to mention, the flight is great to share with someone else! You need to get this! For more Disney food and drink reviews, make sure to follow us at the Disney Food Blog! 22. For years, flying out of Orlando meant bracing yourself for marathon TSA lines, but lately, travelers are breaking the #1 airport rule, and so are we, because security waits have all but vanished. TSA lines at MCO For as long as our team can remember, our golden rule of air travel has been to get to the airport early, especially at Orlando International Airport (MCO). This airport is notorious for its long, winding TSA lines. Travelers would routinely arrive two or even three hours ahead of boarding just to ensure they made it through security in time. But now we might be breaking our own rule, and here is why you might want to! In the last couple of months, security wait times at Orlando have rarely exceeded 15 minutes, even during peak hours. That’s practically unheard of for an airport that has long been considered one of the most stressful in the country. Part of the change comes from updated TSA screening procedures. With new technology and policy adjustments, passengers in standard lanes no longer have to remove shoes, which has sped up the process significantly. Our team has gone through TSA five times since July 8th, multiple times at MCO, and each time the lines moved quickly, almost shockingly so. MCO Airport Of course, programs like TSA PreCheck and MCO Reserve (which allows you to book a timed security appointment in advance) also play a role. For frequent flyers, these options have been game-changers, providing predictability and peace of mind. But what’s striking is that even the regular security lanes are now moving at a pace that makes the old advice of arriving hours early feel outdated. Monitoring the official MCO app recently, we noticed wait times never climbed above 15 minutes. This is a reality that would have sounded impossible just a year ago. TSA Does this mean you should start rolling up to Orlando Airport 45 minutes before your flight? Probably not. Travel is always unpredictable, and it’s better to have a cushion than to risk a missed flight. But it’s clear that something has shifted at airports like MCO, and for the first time in a long time, travelers are feeling a little less dread about security lines. For now, the #1 airport rule might just be bending. Orlando International Airport For more travel news, follow us at DFB!
