Yep, it’s that time of year again, no matter how much we hate it. Tonga Toast Price increases have begun hitting Disney World all over the resort, and now, Disney hotels are next on the list. If you’ve got multiple restaurants located at Disney World hotels on your “must-try” list and have been budgeting for specific items, you may want to increase that budget, because price increases have hit TONS of items. Disney is almost always pretty secret about their price increases when they release them, so you really have to pay close attention. Don’t worry though — that’s why it’s our job, not yours! Based on the systems we’ve got set up, we know that price increases have now hit the following restaurants, and menu items at said restaurants. The Smiling Crocodile Full Spread We’ll be honest with you here, THOUSANDS of items have gotten price increases around the resort, and whatever item pops into your head first, it’s likely been increased. Here are a few of the most popular and notable price increases we just spotted at Disney World Hotels, to prepare you for your next trip: Specialty Character Drink at Trattoria al Forno: Increased from $6.75 to $7 Sunshine Margarita at Cove Bar: Increased from $17.50 to $18.50 Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake at Primo Piatto: Increased from $39 to $45 Foot-Long All-Beef Chili-Cheese Hot Dog at The Market Ale & Compass: $14.99 to $15.49 Roaring Breakfast Platter at Roaring Fork: Increased from $12.99 to $13.49 Roaring Fork Bounty Breakfast Platter at The Artist’s Palette: Increased from $12.79 to $13.29 Mickey Cinnamon Roll at Riverside Mill Food Court: Increased from $7.49 to $7.99 Bacon, Egg, and “Cheese” Sandwich at River Mill Food Court: Increased from $8.99 to $9.29 Riverside Mill Food Court Taste of the Bayou All-You-Care-To-Enjoy Platter at Boatwright’s Dining Hall: Increased from $37 to $38 Banana Cream Pie Cheesecake at Boatwright’s Dining Hall: Increased from $11 to $12 Mediterranean Meatball Bowl at Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory: Increased from $12.79 to $13.29 Waffle Bounty Platter at Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory: Increased from $12.79 to $13.29 Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory Allergy-Friendly Mickey-shaped Waffles at Everything Pop Shopping and Dining: Increased from $10.79 to $11.29 Lilo Smoothie at Ohana: Increased from $6.75 to $7 Tonga Toast at Captain Cook’s: Increased from $10.49 to $10.99 Tonga Toast We know, we know, this is never the news you want to hear about Disney World, but it’s important to keep up with these prices so you’re not caught off guard when you visit. There’s nothing worse than budgeting carefully, only to find that a snack/meal you had high on your list now costs $2 more. While that may not sound like a lot, that takes away $2 from another item on your list, and if ALL those items increased by $1-$2, you may have to cross 1-2 items off your list entirely if you want to stick to your budget. Big changes are coming to Hollywood Studios! ©Disney Disney dropped a bunch of news today, like several price increases at Disney World, new updates to Frozen Ever After, and the opening timeline for the Muppets Roller Coaster! Grab your guitars because we’re going to be rockin’ sooner than you think. Get ready for some mayhem in Summer 2026 because the Muppets will have officially taken over the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster! Disney announced Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster starring The Muppets back in November 2024, and we’ve been watching updates on this retheme like a hawk. ©Disney In addition to the opening timeline confirmation, Disney has also shared a first of it’s kind Muppet Animatronic will make its way into the attraction! Disney has shared that Scooter, as band manager, along with the penguin audio engineers, will be working hard to get Electric Mayhem to make it on time to their concert! They confirmed this will be the first time Scooter has ever been imagined as an audio animatronic and that he might not be the only one in the attraction. However, they said we will have to learn more about that at a later date. ©Disney Throughout the attraction, we will be getting a VIP tour of G-Force Records, which is under new management by The Muppets! We’ve also been warned, G-Force Records has a snazzy new look now that Scooter’s uncle, real estate tycoon and owner of the Muppet Theatre, J.P. Grosse, is in charge. To celebrate the Summer 2026 timeline, Disney also shared a new poster to kick it all off. ©Disney We’re seriously excited to jam out with this entire crew next summer! At the time of writing, Disney has not confirmed when Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith will close for the retheme. As always, be sure to keep following DFB for more Disney news and updates. Okay, so you might be planning a trip to Disney World soon, and of course, you’re probably thinking about your budget. Tiffins spread We keep an eye out for menu updates, which means we often see price increases on food, so that could change your budget. However, in October, we generally see a SLEW of price increases come through for nearly every Disney World restaurant on property, and that’s what we’ve got to tell you about now, those increases that have hit theme parks. So, as of today, Disney World confirmed TONS of price increases across the resort, including in the theme parks. Numerous theme park restaurants, including Cinderella’s Royal Table, Be Our Guest, and Nomad Lounge, saw price increases. Kids Meal at Restaurantosaurus! Well, it’s that time of year again. We look at all the price increases hitting Disney World and sigh in sadness. Dole Whip from Aloha Isle We’ve already seen price increases hit ticket prices, apparel, and Disney’s streaming services, and now another massive increase has hit the Disney World parks. Some of our favorite snacks around the entire resort will now cost you more — including our beloved Dole Whip — and yes, we’re trying not to cry. We’re going through EVERY single price increase Disney has just (very quietly) changed, so you can feel prepared for budgeting on your next Disney World trip. While a $0.50-$2 price increase per snack may not seem like a lot, that adds up very fast when ALL the snacks you were looking at getting have that price increase. Magic Kingdom Starting with our beloved Dole Whip, the prices have increased at Aloha Isle and Sunshine Tree Terrace. Here’s a breakdown of how much your favorite treat will cost now: Aloha Isle Pineapple Upside-Down Cake changed from $6.99 to $7.49 Sunshine Tree Terrace I Lava You Float changed from $7.29 to $7.59 Soda Floats changed from $6.49 to $6.79 EPCOT Fife & Drum Popcorn and popcorn buckets have also seen a small increase this year. Churro changed from $6.99 to $7.49 Mickey-shaped Pretzel changed from $7.99 to $8.49 Frozen Lemonade changed from $5.79 to $6.29 Disney’s Animal Kingdom Satu’li Canteen It seems the adult portion of cheeseburger pods remains untouched for now, but the kids’ meal has increased from $8.59 to $8.99. Cheeseburger Pod Kid’s Meal from Satu’li Canteen Mahindi It’s safe to say popcorn price increases have impacted all of the parks. For example, you’ll also find increased prices at Mahindi in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Popcorn Souvenir Bucket changed from $13 to $14.29 Popcorn Bucket Refill changed from $2.19 to $2.49 Popcorn changed from $5.69 to $5.99 Disney World Hotels Pineapple Lanai We have a price DECREASE, people!! The DOLE Whip® with Rum Floater increased to $14.50 last year, but now it’s down to $13.50. Rum Floater We’re hoping this will be the only time we see price increases for a while on these snacks, but it’s possible we could see more come down the line on other items later this year. In 2024, the starting prices for a 1-day, 1-park ticket ranged from $109 to $164. In 2025 and 2026, the starting prices ranged from $119 to $169. Here’s a breakdown of what a 1-day, 1-park ticket costs in 2025 through October 2026*: Disney’s Animal Kingdom — $119-$174 Disney’s Hollywood Studios — $139-$194 EPCOT — $129-$194 Magic Kingdom — $144-$199 Magic Kingdom Now, Disney has released ticket prices for November and December 2026, and you’ll be paying more to visit the parks based on these increases. The price of a 1-day, 1-park ticket for Magic Kingdom has jumped to a new high of $209. The first day we’re seeing this increase is on November 21st, 2026 — the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Slinky Dog Dash in Hollywood Studios Keep in mind that Disney World ticket prices are subject to demand, meaning the price goes up on days Disney expects the parks to be busy (like holidays and special events). Some days may not change at all or even decrease. Disney has implemented “park-specific pricing” only for 1-day, 1-park tickets. (This means that a 1-day, 1-park ticket to Magic Kingdom on a particular date may cost you MORE than a ticket to, for example, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, on that same date.) Tickets for Magic Kingdom will reach the highest levels out of all 4 parks. Tree of Life Let’s look at a breakdown of what the price ranges are for a 1-day, 1-park ticket to Disney World now: Disney’s Animal Kingdom: $119-$184 Disney’s Hollywood Studios: $139-$204 EPCOT: – $129-$199 Magic Kingdom: $144-$209 It looks like Park Hopper tickets got a price increase as well. In 2026, prices topped out at $277 for a regular, 1-day Park Hopper ticket. Starting on November 21st, 2026, the same ticket will cost $284. The extra cost of the Park Hopper option becomes slightly less per day the more days you purchase. So, the added cost of a Park Hopper for a 10-day park ticket will be less than the added cost of a Park Hopper for a 1-day park ticket. Journey of Water Now is a great time to plan a Disney World trip, with so many new experiences on the way! Progress is being made on the updated, high-tech CineDome at Orlando Science Center. Out are the old chairs and old-school film projector; incoming are new lights, speakers, 8K digital projectors and top-notch screen to line the eight-story sphere. For now, the space is filled with scaffolding to be used to install panels of NanoSeam into their very specific spots. “We worked it from the top down, where we’ll peel this screen off and then put the brand-new screen over the top of it,” Stephen Holt, vice president for facilities and exhibits, said during a tour of the theater. This is the future home for the museum’s very-big-screen movies, revived laser shows and traditional – but modern – planetarium presentations. “We’re returning to our roots as a planetarium, and it isn’t just the same old planetarium show,” said JoAnn Newman, president and CEO of Orlando Science Center. “It’s amazing what can be done,” she said. “We’re going to fly you through the universe. We can go to planets. We could do black holes, whatever kind of astronomical events you can imagine.” o Science Center President & CEO JoAnn Newman and Stephen Holt, vice president of facilities and exhibits Stephen Holt walk through the museum's under-renovation domed theater Monday. (Rich Pope/Orlando Sentinel) The curved steel structure of the dome was inspected and certified as sturdy. Before the new screen is attached – a process that will take about 28 days, Holt said – a set of eight 7-foot-tall speakers will be mounted to the frame. The overhaul is expected to be completed in the spring of 2026. Dr. Phillips Charities made a $1 million dollar donation to the museum’s Unlock Science campaign for the renovation, and the theater will be known as the Dome by Dr. Phillips Charities. The theater had mostly remained the same since it opened with the science center’s Loch Haven Park facility in 1997. “It’s going to become this magical place for storytelling,” Newman said. (Rich Pope/Orlando Sentinel)Expand “Then we have to decide what content we want to lean into. We’ll start with astronomy and planetarium, because it’s so cool, but there’s just so much happening.” she said. Among the options are patching into other museums’ presentations and showing planetarium shows designed locally. The theater could play host to scientific demonstrations and musical acts backed by the new screen. The theater’s digital update “allows us to bring laser-light shows back, which is also kind of part of our history,” said Jeff Stanford, vice president for marketing. “There’s a whole generation that grew up going to Pink Floyd [laser shows] at the John Young Museum and Planetarium, so we’re going to satisfy that crowd, too.” The changes will present fresh offerings in unique ways. “This is definitely an experience you cannot get at home,” Stanford said. Right now, there’s a hole in the middle of the seating area where the digital projector used to merge from the lower level. New seats are going throughout the theater, including over that newly available gap, but they will be a little larger, so the dome’s capacity will be similar, Newman said. The guest queue area of the domed theater is being repurposed as part of the renovation. The outdated film projector, which popped through the seating area above, has been removed. (Rich Pope/Orlando Sentinel) In the past, lower-level visitors could see in the projector room and the giant reels of film spooling their way up 18 feet into the theater. That space will be converted into a classroom and meeting area. Nearby will be a robotic vending area for snacks. The theater will be fronted by a large LED screen promoting upcoming dome events and showings. “If it’s space-related content, it may be from the James Webb [Space] Telescope. If it’s oceans, we may have humpback whales – just really beautiful still shots,” Holt said. The final feet of film ran through the science center’s projector in August. That equipment was picked up by a company set to refurbish it for parts for the few film projectors still in use. “There are a couple of different institutions that are looking at housing it to become a museum piece,” Holt said. dbevil@orlandosentinel.com View the full article

For more than seven decades, Walt Disney Imagineering has brought beloved stories and characters off the screen and into reality through the revolutionary innovations of Audio-Animatronics figures. From classic attractions to brand-new adventures, these incredible creations are part of the fabric of iconic Disney storytelling that keeps guests coming back year after year. There’s always something new to inspire. As we continue to invest in new and well-loved experiences, there are even more Audio-Animatronics figures updates on the way to Walt Disney World Resort! Zootopia: Better Zoogether! Starting at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, get ready to clap your paws and click your claws when Zootopia: Better Zoogether! opens on November 7 in the iconic Tree of Life Theater. It’s a “4D” show you won’t want to miss, as the residents of Zootopia are gearing up for Zoogether Day, a citywide celebration. On this special day, all kinds of animals join together with performances from many of the diverse biomes that make up the city. In Zootopia: Better Zoogether!, the Tree of Life Theater is the epicenter of Zoogether Day with fast-talking, loud-howling wolf host Heidi Howler presenting a watch party where the audience of mammals big and small will catch all the festivities via livestream. I hope you’re ready to join in the fun, because we’re all invited to join the audience too! Thanks to the special “Carrot Vision” glasses we’ll wear as part of the watch party experience, some of your favorite characters from Zootopia and Zootopia 2 will “jump” off the screen … except for Gazelle’s number one fan and off-duty ZPD officer. That’s right, Benjamin Clawhauser himself will be in the theater with us, in the form of an all-new Audio-Animatronics figure. When we met Clawhauser in Zootopia, he was sporting his ZPD uniform (and sometimes a tasty donut, too). At the Zoogether Day watch party, he’ll be decked out from head to tail with a brand-new look: glow necklaces, bracelets, and his favorite, glittery Gazelle tee shirt. This larger-than-life fan wants nothing more than to be picked as the V.I.Z. (Very Important Zootopian – the lucky mammal who will get special access to the Zoogether Day performers). And when that doesn’t work out, he has to take matters into his own paws. Frozen Ever After at EPCOT In the heart of the Norway pavilion at EPCOT, Frozen fanatics have been sailing through the story of Princess Anna and Queen Elsa on Frozen Ever After since it debuted in 2016. It is full of Audio-Animatronics figures – from Sven and Kristoff, an ice-skating Olaf, Marshmellow and a whole herd of Snowgies, and of course, Anna and Elsa. Many of these figures were groundbreaking in the world of Audio-Animatronics – not just as part of the first Frozen attraction, but also as the first attraction to have all electric Audio-Animatronics figures, and the first to combine electric motors and 3D printing. That’s a lot of firsts! To build the attraction and make it feel like the enchanted Frozen story, it all came down to one wrist. Elsa is known for her magical, ice-forming hand gestures; for her Audio-Animatronics figure to handle the fluid movements just like Elsa does on screen, Imagineers needed enough space to run cables and motors down her arms and hands. They figured out how big Elsa’s wrist needed to be and scaled everything else in the attraction to match. Since then, Walt Disney Imagineering couldn’t “let it go” (sorry, I had to) and has built upon that very technology of all-electric motors, 3D printing, and scaling for every figure they produce – from Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Walt Disney World and Disneyland, to Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival at Tokyo DisneySea, and World of Frozen at Hong Kong Disneyland. And, in a full circle moment of innovation, the Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff Audio-Animatronics figures will soon receive new updates after ten years of delighting fans in Frozen Ever After. Taking inspiration from the advancements seen in figures at World of Frozen in Hong Kong Disneyland, the Frozen Ever After figures will face the future of Audio-Animatronics (see what I did there?) Early next year, this investment will bring a more true-to-film look for these beloved characters. Just looking at the photos from Hong Kong Disneyland, I can tell we’re in for a treat here at Walt Disney World! Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets: Opening Summer 2026! At Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, you bet we’ll have rock as we roll across Hollywood on a wild ride with the Electric Mayhem – complete with backstage chaos, high-speed thrills, that signature Muppet humor… and an all-new Muppet Audio-Animatronics figure. Side by side with a dedicated team of penguin audio engineers, Scooter, in his capacity as band manager, will be trying hard to convince the Electric Mayhem to stop laying down tracks so they won’t be late to their own concert. This will be the first time Scooter has ever been imagined as an Audio-Animatronics figure, and I hear he might not be the only Muppet Audio-Animatronics figure joining the attraction… but we’ll have to wait to learn more about that. And if you’d like to paper that psychedelically sweet poster everywhere, you’re in luck – The Muppets have a downloadable wallpaper here for you to add some rock ‘n’ roll to your desktop. Now, I can imagine you’re ready to go pedal to the metal and experience the high-speed hijinks of The Muppets in this latest story. Well, the wait will be over before you know it: Get ready to rock out when Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets speeds into Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Summer 2026! Audio-Animatronics Figures Through the Years All this excitement about Audio-Animatronics figures to come is the next chapter in a long, iconic story that dates all the way back to Walt Disney himself. He discovered an antique mechanical singing bird in New Orleans, and after returning to California, tasked Imagineers to learn how the little bird worked. His curiosity and the talents of his Imagineers laid the groundwork for future Audio-Animatronics figures. The first-generation of Audio-Animatronics figures, known as the A-1, debuted in the 1960s at Disneyland in attractions like Jungle Cruise, Mine Train Through Nature’s Wonderland, and Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room that featured over 200 singing birds. The technology and artistry of Audio-Animatronics figures didn’t stop there: Next came the world’s first fully animated human figure in Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln, which debuted at the 1964-65 New York World’s Fair. Then, the debut of the A-100 figure in 1989. Fast forward a few decades and hundreds of innovations later, Imagineers introduced one of the most sophisticated figures in 2017 with the Shaman of Songs in Na’avi River Journey in Pandora – The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. When Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opened in 2019 at Walt Disney World and Disneyland, it marked another huge advancement in technology with the introduction of the A-1000 figure, boasting enhancements in range, speed, and overall performance. And the latest figure has a special place in our company’s history … Walt Disney – A Magical Life features for the first time an Audio-Animatronics figure of Walt, advancing a technology he pioneered 60 years ago with Abraham Lincoln at the 1964 New York World’s Fair. This special homage opened July 17, 2025 as part of the 70th anniversary celebration of the Disneyland Resort. And – as recently announced at Destination D23 – we will soon be able to see Walt Disney through the magic of Audio-Animatronics technology at “Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress” at Walt Disney World. The desire to captivate, immerse, and entertain is woven into the fabric of Disney’s DNA, and the development of the Audio-Animatronics figure is proof of our goal to always do more and deliver more for our guests. Each new figure builds on the legacy of time, talent, and skill of generations of Imagineers. We continue to invest in this technology because – as someone we all know once said – we keep moving forward. I, for one, can’t wait to see the stories these new Audio-Animatronics figures will tell! If you’re as excited for this year’s holiday season at Disneyland Resort as we are, you’re likely already planning your vacation (or already HAVE it planned). The holidays at Disneyland However, so far, we haven’t been able to see when we’ll get a chance to see two of the most iconic parts of the holiday season at this resort — the Christmas Fantasy Parade and “Believe…in Holiday Magic” Fireworks. That’s all changed, though, because now Disney has FINALLY revealed showtimes for them, so we can complete our planning! We now know the Christmas Fantasy Parade will return on November 14th! The Disneyland calendar only goes out through November 18th at the time of writing, and showtimes for each of those days are 2:45 PM and 5:15 PM. Christmas Fantasy Parade This parade is one of our absolute favorites in Disneyland all year long! A few highlights of the parade include Mickey and Minnie working with Chip ‘n’ Dale to organize an avalanche of letters to Santa, Anna, Elsa, and Olaf waving hello, Buzz Lightyear on a float with Christmas elves, Woody, and Jessie, and finally, the Disney Princesses dancing at the Candlelight Ball. We love this parade! As for the “Believe…in Holiday Magic” Fireworks Spectacular, this will also return on November 14th and run through January 7th, 2026, and currently has one showtime of 9:30 PM each night. More than 80,000 twinkling lights illuminate Sleeping Beauty Castle during this show, and if you’re standing near “it’s a small world” Holiday, parts of Main Street, U.S.A., or along the Rivers of America, you might even experience some “snowfall” during the show. “Believe…in Holiday Magic” Fireworks We’re super stoked that both of these offerings are back for the holiday season this year! Have you ever dreamed of staying in Disney World forever? ©Disney In our experience, a lot of Disney Adults have dreamed of getting “stuck” in Disney World. You’d never have to leave! You could keep eating those incredible snacks and meals! Plus, there would be fireworks every night. There are some places, though, we would really love to never get stuck in Disney, and we’re breaking down why! We never thought we’d say this, but there are some places in Disney World we really don’t want to spend a ton of time at. Bear with us for a second before you get mad, though. It’s because you’re really not meant to spend a lot of time at these spots, and they can drive our anxieties sky high when we’re stuck there. We’re not just talking about crowds either; we’re talking on the rides! Magic Kingdom crowds The first place we would hate to get stuck? Right before the backwards launch on Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind! If we’re being honest, getting stuck here is exactly what inspired this post. Recently, one of our reporters got stuck on the ride for 9 minutes, right before the backward launch. Cosmic Rewind The launch on this ride is one of our favorites in Disney World, but sitting in the dark waiting to jump back? Easily one of the most anxiety-inducing experiences we’ve ever had. The lights didn’t come on, and we can promise, her heart rate was sky high. Waiting for the ride vehicle to finally jump back is somewhere we never want to be waiting for a long time again. Crowds at Cosmic Rewind Next is Tiana’s Bayou Adventure! For similar reasons, we never want to be stopped on that drop-down into the bayou! We have been stalled at the top of this 50-foot drop, and it’s not something we would recommend to people. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure drop Granted, when we were stuck up there, we were with folks who were scared of heights. (We’ll admit it, it was us.) Not only are you baking in the sun at the peak of the ride, you are seriously looking 50 feet down if you’re in that first row. We were only stuck for a few minutes, but our palms were sweating enough to fill the ride’s water capacity. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure! You’re going to notice a pattern here, but our next spot we hope to not be stuck on is Pirates of the Caribbean’s drop! This drop, luckily, isn’t as big as Tiana’s, and it isn’t as fast as the Guardian’s launch. That being said, you do sit right below the camera that takes the on-ride photo. The flash is bright, blinding you, before you’re stuck sitting in the dark. It’s just not ideal. Pirates of the Carribean Similarly, Frozen Ever After’s drop is on this list. Not only are you stuck waiting for the ride to drop you roughly 28 feet, you’re sitting next to the giant, scary snowman, Marshmellow, who breathes smoke on you. But don’t worry, Marshmellow, when we talk about you, it’s all good things! Frozen Ever After right before the drop! Over in Hollywood Studios, we would be super thankful if we never had to be stuck in the escape pods on Rise of the Resistance again. Yes, we’ve experienced this one too! If you don’t know (big spoiler warning here), at the end of the ride, your ride vehicle ushers you into an escape pod, and you drop off the ship! It’s not a huge drop, we would call it more of a big bounce, but if you know it’s coming and you sit and wait for it… your stomach starts doing backflips. Heading into the escape pod Speaking of drops, we hope to never be stuck anywhere on the Tower of Terror. Literally anywhere, for every reason imaginable. We love it, but we have truly no desire to stay in the Twilight Zone. Tower of Terror Space Mountain is making our “never get stuck” list because, even if you aren’t scared of the dark, this ride can get creepy. Space Mountain is famous for its thrilling ride through the dark of space, but have you ever been stuck in space? We wouldn’t recommend it! The ride is pitch black, and the music and sound effects are really loud. This combo is thrilling when you zoom past, but if you’re sitting still, it’s pretty overstimulating. You also have no idea if you’re about to go down a drop because it’s so dark, so it’s just a lot of anxiety all around. The Space Mountain queue If you’re on the Haunted Mansion with a younger kid, there’s no good place to get stuck, but some spots are worse than others. One of the worst spots? Right next to Contance, the serial killer bride who has a very haunting voice and an axe. We can speak from experience that getting stuck next to her, with young kids, can be somewhat scarring for your ears and the child’s brain. Constance Hatchaway Finally, the drop on Expedition Everest deserves a shoutout. Not only do you go backward on this ride, you also run into a (spoiler) Yeti. This drop is roughly 80 feet, but it’s curved, so it doesn’t feel as intense as it could. That being said, if you get stuck right before the ride takes off, staring out over the park can be daunting. What’s even worse than that is getting stuck on the lift hill up to the ride. Getting stuck in the sun, overlooking all of Disney World, with no steps on either side, is horrifying, and we started sweating just thinking about it. Expedition Everest Rides can get stuck for different reasons, including issues with the track, assisting people getting on or off the ride, or even just the ride sensors acting up. There are tons of different reasons you might get stalled, but don’t worry! They’re always working to get it running again or to help get you off the ride. That being said, we do dream about getting stopped on a few attractions. PeopleMover The ones we want to stall on? The Peoplemover is first. It’s comfortable, covered, and has a nice vibe no matter what. The second is also somehow Expedition Everest, but specifically below the Yeti. It might scare the kids, but we want to see her up close and personal. (The Yeti’s informal name is Betty, just so you know.) We would also be happy to be trapped in Magic Kingdom after the park closes, but only if we get official confirmation that there won’t be any Kingdom Keepers activities. ©Disney At the end of the day, getting stuck at these spots really isn’t the end of the world. It just might feel incredibly stressful for the few minutes you’re sitting there, but at least you get a fun story out of it! Dining in Disney World can mean a lot of things! eet by Maneet Chauhan There are some amazing snacks, table services tend to blow us away, and quick services can have some serious standouts. Disney often does limited-time treats as well, especially around the holidays. Recently, we wandered over to Disney Springs to try 3 limited-time snacks and sips that we think you might need to check out. eet by Maneet Chauhan has become a huge favorite of ours in Disney Springs! This quick-service restaurant was opened by James Beard Award-winning chef and Food Network star Maneet Chauhan with hospitality entrepreneur (and Chauhan’s husband) Vivek Deora. We’ve had lunch with Maneet before! eet is located in the Marketplace section of Disney Springs (close to Earl of Sandwich and Rainforest Cafe), and it serves up traditional flavors with modern flair. During our recent visit, we tried 3 of their limited-time Halloween-inspired items, starting with the Monster Mein for $14.95! The Monster Mein with chicken! We added chicken to ours for an extra $6.49. It’s made with Lo-mein Noodles, Green Peas, Carrots, and coated with Lava Garlic Umami Sauce, which is made with Garlic Chili Sauce, Soy Sauce, Oyster Sauce, and Mustard Oil. Trust us when we say this thing was SPICY! After our first bite, we wanted to sprint to find a glass of milk, and we could handle some spice. The chicken was tender, well-seasoned, and juicy. Inside the chicken! It really helped to cut through the spice, which we were appreciative of. There are tons of vegetables in this, but the peas and carrots were cooked to perfection. They weren’t mushy and blended well with the noodles. The heat is something you won’t be able to get past in this dish, so don’t underestimate it like we did. There was also a super strong garlic kick, so pack your gum if you want this. In all fairness, the Cast Members even tried to warn us when we ordered it. Have a bite! For our second dish, we tried the Enchanted Noodles for $14.95! This was made with Lo-mein Noodles, Green Peas, Carrots, and finished with an Enchanted Umami Glaze made with Hoisin, Soy Sauce, Oyster Sauce, and Mustard Oil. This is the dish to get if you can’t handle the heat or the garlic. The Enchanted Noodles These noodles were so well-cooked, and texturally they reminded us of the noodles from ‘Ohana, but a bit more firm. They are coated in the sauce, which leans on the sweeter side, similar to a teriyaki sauce. It is a sweeter version of a teriyaki sauce, though! We’re honestly prepared to call this dish our “Ohana Disney Springs Hack.” We hate that they’re only here for a limited time. Have a bite! To wash it all down, we grabbed the Monster Mash-Tini for $15.95. We absolutely loved this guy! We got to pick the color of our cup and the character on top, which we loved. It’s essentially a green apple martini that’s been frozen. It made us feel like we were bobbing for apples in the best way. The Monster Mash-Tini If you’ve ever had a Caramel Apple Pop, you can imagine just what this drink tasted like. There was almost no alcoholic taste in it, which can be dangerous, but it’s not a bad thing. It was sweet, fruity, and had us ready for Halloween! He’s so cute! We were blown away (and caught off guard) but how much we enjoyed these three options! eet’s website doesn’t clarify how long these three will be around, but it’s a safe bet to assume they’ll only be around until October 31st. As always, be sure to keep following DisneyFoodBlog for more Disney reviews and news. How much can you really do in a single day at Disneyland park? According to planDisney panelist ~ plenty! Get ready to dive into his action-packed itinerary that shows you how to squeeze every bit of magic out of your visit! Take it away, David! Whenever friends ask me how much you can actually do in a single Disneyland day, I always smile and say, “More than you think!” The truth is, you’d be hard-pressed to find another place where one admission ticket opens the door to so many adventures: nine-themed lands, dozens of attractions, parades, shows, characters, shopping, and food that ranges from snacks to full feasts. It’s a value measured not just in dollars, but in sheer experiences. Here’s how I made the most of a recent sunrise-to-closing time day at Disneyland park. A Few Tips Before the Magic When I know we’re in for a full day of adventure, I plan ahead with my family. Everyone picks a “must-do” or two. That way, nobody feels left out, and our itinerary feels like a team effort. The Disneyland app* is our best friend for a long day as it keeps wait times, mobile food orders, and entertainment schedules at our fingertips. And before we even leave home, I check Disney Parks Blog for seasonal surprises, so we can look forward to something new. Disneyland Rope Drop: The Early Wins I’m always at the gates at least 30 minutes before opening. The payoff? Those first couple of hours feel like bonus time. I’ve watched the sunlight crest over the Matterhorn, snapped a photo with the Mickey Pumpkin, and still managed to fit in at least three to five attractions before mid-morning. For today’s adventure, Adventureland is my go-to starting point. Indiana Jones Adventure gives that early-morning jolt of adrenaline, and then I’ll head to New Orleans Square to hit Pirates of the Caribbean before ducking into Haunted Mansion Holiday. With its seasonal mash-up of Halloween and Christmas, the details keep me coming back every year. And yes, I start snacking early, too. A mobile order of pumpkin cookies from Harbour Galley makes the perfect “walking breakfast” for the whole family. Late Morning Thrills Bayou Country is next, where Tiana’s Bayou Adventure immerses us in jazz rhythms, humor, and a splashy finale. By the time we emerge, the day is fully underway. From there, we jet to another galaxy. Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run is always a crowd-pleaser in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and if I need a caffeine boost, I grab a Black Caf from Docking Bay 7. Fantasyland makes a great late-morning reset: classics like Dumbo, Snow White’s Enchanted Wish, and the Mad Tea Party keep the mood light. And seeing Miguel and Dante in “it’s a small world” now is a special touch, especially with Richard Sherman’s new celebratory finale verse. Lunch and Midday Magic When hunger strikes, I love Troubadour Tavern’s specialty baked potatoes. They’re filling, shareable, and a great value. My current favorite is the Bulgogi Potato, spicy, savory, and satisfying without slowing me down for the afternoon ahead. After lunch, I like to catch my breath with a ride on the Disneyland Railroad, followed by a stop inside the Opera House for Walt Disney – A Magical Life. Between the artifacts, models, and the emotional finale with Walt himself, it’s a reminder that the day we’re living out is all part of his dream. If I have my MagicBand+, I’ll take the 70th anniversary interactive quest scattered across the park. It’s free, playful, and even comes with souvenir printouts at some stops. Afternoon in Toontown and Tomorrowland By mid-afternoon, we usually head into Mickey’s Toontown. The kids are able to burn off energy in Goofy’s How-To-Play Yard while I grab a shaded seat. Meeting Mickey or Minnie in their homes before we head out is a guaranteed highlight, and the PhotoPass pictures capture smiles I’ll treasure long after the day ends. Dinner often means Café Daisy. Available for a limited time as part of the celebration of Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary Celebration, the Chicken Bacon Ranch Flop-Over is indulgent but not too heavy, which means it’s the perfect fuel for the big night ahead. From there, Tomorrowland pulls us in. Whether it’s racing cars on Autopia, blasting Zurg in Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, or hopping aboard Star Tours, the variety keeps everyone in the group engaged. Evening Delights Around sunset, I squeeze in one more mountain: the Matterhorn Bobsleds. There’s nothing like careening through icy caverns as the sky turns pink behind Sleeping Beauty Castle. Then, as the lights flicker on across the park, it’s snack time again. I’ve become hooked on the Pineapple Upside Down Sundae at Tropical Hideaway (also available for a limited time), though I’ll never say no to the Spicy Pickle Popcorn near Star Traders. By now, we’ve logged 10+ hours, and the best is still ahead. Paint the Night Parade, back in Disneyland Park for a limited time, lights up Main Street with its kaleidoscope of floats and music. As soon as the last float disappears, Halloween Screams fills the sky with projections and on select nights, pyrotechnics and fireworks. Watching Jack Skellington from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas take over Main Street with my family at my side is one of those moments that makes the whole day worth it. Wrapping Up a Day Well Spent By the time the final fireworks fade, we’ve packed in more than a dozen attractions, sampled treats sweet and savory, explored nine lands, and enjoyed parades, and nighttime spectaculars. That’s the magic of a Disneyland day: you don’t just get “a park ticket.” You get an entire sunrise-to-late night adventure filled with memories, surprises, and more fun than you can count. Walking down Main Street at closing time, with the lights twinkling and my feet tired in the best way, I always think: where else can one day hold so much? Disneyland gives you hours of nonstop magic, and I wouldn’t trade a single minute of it. Now that is a day full of fun! Lights, camera … action! An action-packed day awaits you and your family at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and planDisney panelist Kay B. is here with all the tips and tricks you need to know to make the most of your Disney day! Here is Kay’s plan for your day: When people ask me why my family keeps coming back to Walt Disney World, the answer is simple: there’s just no other place where you can do this much in one day. You can spend an entire day inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios and, let me tell you, it delivers on so much value, variety, and fun for the whole family. With three kids, twin teens (14) and a 4-year-old, we’ve been visiting since they were babies, and every time, Hollywood Studios surprises us with just how much there is to do. From epic attractions to Broadway-like shows, to character sightings and unforgettable meals, this park is packed from morning to night. Here’s what a full day might look like: Morning: Kicking Off the Adventure We like to start our day with Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. It’s the perfect first stop because it sets a playful tone for everyone. Our kids love being “pulled into a cartoon” alongside Mickey and Minnie. It’s the perfect ride for all ages to enjoy together. After that, it’s time for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, an amazing adventure that puts you right in the middle of a Star Wars battle. My teens always walk off in awe. Before lunch, we make sure to head over to The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. The plunge into the Twilight Zone is heart-pounding fun for the brave ones in our family. Midday: Lunch and More Fun By now, it’s time to refuel. We like to grab lunch at Roundup Rodeo BBQ, where stepping inside Andy’s playroom for a family-style meal is just as much fun as the food itself. After lunch, our little one insists on riding Slinky Dog Dash. This family-friendly coaster is pure joy. We can’t help but laugh together as Slinky Dog zips and zooms through Toy Story Land. We also love catching a show midday. Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After keeps the teens entertained, while our 4-year-old lights up watching The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure. Afternoon: Snacks, Characters, and Exploring The afternoon is a great time to slow down a little. We’ll grab ice cream at Hollywood Scoops, our 4-year-old says it’s always the right choice and then wander the park for character greetings. From Disney Junior pals to Donald Duck, these spontaneous moments are some of the best memories we take home. If we’re in Toy Story Land again, a quick stop at Woody’s Lunchbox for totchos or grilled cheese is a family favorite. For a Star Wars fix, Oga’s Cantina is our go-to lounge for out-of-this-world drinks in a playful setting. Evening: Dinner and the Grand Finale Dinner at The Hollywood Brown Derby makes us feel like we’ve stepped back into the Golden Age of Hollywood. The Cobb Salad is iconic, and it’s a nice way to relax before the big finale. We always close our night with “Fantasmic!”. Watching Mickey take on the Disney villains in this spectacular show filled with water, fire, and fireworks is the perfect way to end the day. A Full Day of Memories From morning to night, there’s just so much to see, do, and experience at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Between the attractions, shows, character sightings, snacks, and unforgettable meals, our family can easily spend a full day in the park and still leave wanting to do more. Disney’s Hollywood Studios truly offers something for everyone, whether you’re 4, 14, or just a kid at heart. That is a great deal of fun packed into one day and let’s not forget that guests can access the park via a complimentary ride on Disney Skyliner, grab a free celebration button and hit the road searching for the elusive hidden Mickey’s! People are paying some jaw-dropping amounts of money to get McDonald’s delivered. McDonald’s A new study has revealed just how much of a hit your wallet can take if you decide to skip the drive-thru and let a delivery app bring your Big Mac to the door. The numbers might surprise you because we’re not talking about a couple of dollars in extra fees. We’re talking about prices that almost double the cost of your meal depending on where you order and which app you use. If you’ve ever thought your delivery total seemed suspiciously high, this study confirms you’re not imagining things. The Study Financial tech company Self recently dug into the cost of McDonald’s delivery across the U.S. to figure out what people are actually paying once all the fees, markups, and tips are added in. Researchers placed the same McDonald’s order — a Big Mac combo meal, a Quarter Pounder with Cheese Deluxe large meal, a 6-piece Chicken McNuggets Happy Meal, and a Hamburger Happy Meal — in the 100 largest U.S. cities across DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub. McDonald’s The results? McDonald’s really is taking a massive bite out of wallets. At the restaurant itself, the order cost an average of $36.95. That’s already a 24% increase since 2023. But if you decided to order the same meal for delivery, the cost shot up to an average of $62.36 — nearly double the in-store price. Which App Costs the Most? Not all apps are created equal, and the study compared them side by side. DoorDash was the most expensive option, coming in at $63.21 for the order, which is 71.1% higher than what you’d pay at the restaurant. Uber Eats wasn’t much better, charging $62.60 for a 69.4% increase. Grubhub was the cheapest of the three, but “cheapest” is relative here — the order still cost $61.26, or a 65.8% markup. Mobile Order Pickup So no matter how you slice it, you’re paying a hefty premium for convenience. And remember, these totals also included a 15% tip, though tips are technically optional and can change based on what you select. Price Changes Over Time Interestingly, while the prices are still wild, the study showed that delivery markups have technically gotten smaller since 2023. Back then, the same order for delivery could vary by as much as $33.88 across cities, and the average markup was a whopping 93.8%. In 2025, that markup dropped to 68.6%. McDonald’s That doesn’t mean delivery is cheap now, though. It just means the price increases slowed down slightly. Uber Eats in particular saw the biggest difference, with its markup dropping by 34.8% compared to 2023. Why the Prices Are So High It’s not just the food itself that’s driving up costs. Delivery app orders factor in a ton of extra charges beyond the base menu price — delivery fees, service fees, sales tax, and other city-specific fees. Those add-ons stack up fast, which is why your McDonald’s Happy Meal suddenly doesn’t feel so happy when you see the total at checkout. Happy Meal The study points out that McDonald’s as a massive global chain can afford to keep its delivery markups lower compared to smaller restaurants. If you’re ordering from a local spot, the price increases could actually be higher — or sometimes lower, if the restaurant is running a promotion. What This Means for Disney World Visitors Here’s where it gets especially relevant for Disney fans. If you’ve ever driven around the Disney World property, you’ve probably spotted the giant McDonald’s near the All-Star Resorts. It’s one of the most popular fast food stops in the area, especially for families looking for a quick and relatively affordable meal. McDonald’s in Disney World But if you’re staying at a Disney hotel and thinking of having McDonald’s delivered to your room after a long park day, you might want to think twice. These delivery markups mean your $35 meal could balloon into $60 or more by the time it reaches your door. Considering how much you’re already spending on your Disney trip, that kind of extra cost can sting. McDonald’s Picking up the food yourself is by far the cheaper option, but that requires leaving your resort and heading out to the standalone McDonald’s on property. For many guests, that might not be convenient after a long day at the parks, but it could save you a significant chunk of change. If you do choose delivery, check the apps for discount codes or promotions, since those can sometimes shave off a few dollars. Bottom Line Delivery apps are undeniably convenient, but that convenience comes at a cost — and in McDonald’s case, it’s a big one. With totals jumping from $36.95 in-store to over $62 with delivery, the study highlights just how pricey fast food can get when you let someone else bring it to your door. For Disney visitors eyeing that golden arches fix, it’s worth asking yourself: is skipping the drive-thru really worth $25 or more in extra fees?
