  1. When it comes to dining at Disneyland Resort, you’ve got a TON of options. Want something quick and easy? They’ve got it. Something middle-of-the-road and comforting? They’ve got that too. And if you want to treat yourself to something luxurious? Make a reservation at one of their popular upscale dining options. It’s time for some corn dogs! We recently stopped by Corn Dog Castle at Disney California Adventure to see what was cookin’, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. Is it worth a stop on your next trip to the Happiest Place on Earth? Find out here! Atmosphere Corn Dog Castle is an outdoor kiosk type location with outdoor seating where you can try Disneyland’s classic corn dog! This restaurant is more tucked away near the Paradise Gardens section of the park, in between Goofy’s Sky School and Seaside Souvenirs. Corn Dog Castle But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?! Menu The menu here is pretty limited, as it’s only focused on, you guessed it, corn dogs! Specifically, you can grab a Hot-Link Corn Dog, Original Corn Dog, or the Cheddar Cheese Stick. Each one is served with your choice of a Cuties orange or a bag of chips. To drink, you can grab a few different sodas, Bottled Water, Hot Cocoa, or Coffee. Menu However, during seasonal times of the year, you can also often find seasonal sippers and popcorn buckets here. And now, onto the main event — the food! Eats First up, we grabbed the Original Corn Dog for $11.29, which is dipped in Corn Batter and fried to a golden Brown. Original Corn Dog It’s hard to ever go wrong with this option! Corn Dog Castle is one of the most consistent quick service restaurants for both quality and the menu options. It’s always served hot and fresh as they’re made to order. The breading has a crunchy, golden brown texture, then a sweet honey flavor that’s just wonderful. Inside, the hot dog was nothing special, just a rich beefy flavor and a nice texture that wasn’t too chewy, but together, it’s a classic! It’s always solid! We also grabbed the Hot-Link Corn Dog for $11.49, which is the spicy version of their classic Corn Dog. This has a light spicy/smoky aftertaste, but the same beefy flavor and crunchy texture, and that smoky spice kicks in after a second. The spice is pretty light, but if you want something with a little extra flavor, this may be a better choice for you. Hot-Link Corn Dog Finally, we have the Cheddar Cheese Stick for $10.49. While this may be the smallest item, we highly recommend sharing it. Cheddar Cheese Stick While we’ve always enjoyed this offering, usually after a few bites, we’re good, because it’s so rich thanks to that cheddar flavor and its melty texture. That means this one is more of a snack, we feel, so we don’t recommend it as a full meal. Nosh or Not This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if… You love corn dogs You want a classic Disneyland Resort snack You want something to share with your group You should skip this Disney World spot if… You don’t like corn dogs You’re looking for something really filling You want to be able to sit inside Overall We think this spot is super solid, and it never disappoints us. That is, as long as you know that corn dogs are offerings you like! We also do recommend allowing a little extra time here, even if you’re mobile ordering, because as these are made-to-order, they may take a little longer. We love this spot! In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant updates from Disneyland and beyond. Make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more! 2. Hold up! Rope dropping EPCOT this month just got a little different. Spaceship Earth It’s never a bad idea to check the park hours before heading into Disney World, but as a Florida local, I’m guilty of just assuming the parks open at the same time every day, which, while true most of the time, can definitely cause some issues. EPCOT is opening later than usual for a day this month, so let’s take a look at how that affects your plans. On October 26th, EPCOT will open at 10 AM versus the usual 9 AM. It’s the same day as the runDisney Wine & Dine Half Marathon, which can usually cause some delays across Disney World. EPCOT runDisney is a fun event where you get to run through Disney property, meet rare characters, and get fun medals. This event sells out fast and brings in thousands of people to Disney World four times a year. It usually means there are large crowds coming into the parks after their races to show off their fun medals. ©runDisney What does this mean for your EPCOT day? Well, you should expect larger crowds due to the race, and if you’re planning on rope dropping, you’ll want to adjust your plans accordingly. You might want to start at another park and then park hop over later in the afternoon. This can also be a great day at the water park or just hanging around the hotel pool. Crowds at EPCOT It’s good to know when all the runDisney events are happening so you’re prepared for larger crowds. Here’s a look at the 2025 to 2026 season: October 23rd to 26th, 2025 — Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend January 7th to 11th, 2026 — Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend February 26th to March 2nd, 2026 — Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend April 16th to 20th, 2026 — runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend EPCOT All the events are full for the upcoming season, but if you are planning on staying on property during any of the races, whether you’re running or not, make sure you book your hotel soon. Because there are so many people and since there is free transportation from the hotels to the races, hotels fill up quickly. Don’t forget that EPCOT opens at 10 AM on October 26th, and keep following Disney Food Blog for more. 3. Calling all Toy Story fans! There’s a new bag online that we’re FLIPPING out about, and we know you will too! Pizza Planet! For decades now, you’ve probably seen Pizza Planet shirts, backpacks, and other merchandise around the parks. Not that we don’t love the classic red Pizza Planet shirt, it’s cool when you find something extra different and special, whether it’s at Disney or through thrifting. However, Disney just released a new Pizza Planet bag online that we feel is about to go FAST! DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. A Pizza Planet Lug Bag Has Crash Landed! ©Disney We are freaking out over the fact that a Pizza Planet Lug Bag now exists and is online! The bag itself is that iconic red color from the film, but the crossbody strap is white and red checkered, which matches part of the pattern on the bag’s front pocket, where the Pizza Planet logo is. The logo reads “Pizza Planet” and “Food & Fun Spaceport Serving Your Local Star Cluster.” ©Disney How fun is that? It gets better, though — the back of the bag also has a special design and features the iconic Pizza Planet car that gets Buzz and Woody to the restaurant in the first film. We also love that the bag has a few different ways to wear it — you can carry it from its top strap, use the removable crossbody strap (which is also adjustable), or there are two straps on the back you could put through a belt loop to wear it as a true belt bag! ©Disney We can’t get enough of this bag, and we have a feeling a lot of other fans feel the same way, especially because the original film just celebrated its 30th Anniversary! If you want your hands on this, we suggest grabbing it sooner rather than later to be safe, because we don’t want you missing out (which also means half of our team will be buying this right after work today — I know I will be!). Grab it right here! Be sure to stay tuned to DFB for all the latest Disney merchandise news — we stay on top of it so you don’t have to! 4. It’s no surprise that prices have been going up, up, up at Disney World, and just about everything has increased to some extent. We’ve been keeping track of all of these prices for years, but there’s one set of numbers that has really shocked us. Annual Pass Annual Passes have been getting more expensive every year, and looking at the numbers, are they getting too high? Let’s start by looking at the Disney Pixie Pass, which has the most blockout dates and is only available for Florida Residents. $399 — December 2022 $439 — October 2023 $469 — October 2024 $489 — October 2025 That’s a $90 increase, which is about 22% in only three years. That’s pretty steep! Maleficent Magnet for Passholders The Pirate Pass, which is next on the tier, is also only for Florida Residents. $749 — December 2022 $799 — October 2023 $829 — October 2024 $869 — October 2025 For the Pirate Pass, it’s a $120 increase, which is about 16% which isn’t as steep as the Pixie Pass. You do receive a discount when you renew your pass, but it usually is not enough to cover the entire price increase from year to year. Annual Passholder pin The Sorcerer Pass is available for Florida Residents or select Disney Vacation Club Members and is the next level up from the Pirate Pass. $969 — December 2022 $999 — October 2023 $1,079 — October 2024 $1,099 — October 2025 This pass had a $130 increase, which is about 11%. Cruella Ice Cream Sundae in Disney World only for Passholders For the highest tiered pass with no blockout dates, the Incredi-Pass is the only pass available to anyone, including people outside of Florida. $1,399 — December 2022 $1,449 — October 2023 $1,549 — October 2024 $1,629 — October 2025 At the most expensive pass, the increase over three years is $230, representing a 16% rise. Annual Passholder Lounge The Pixie Pass has the highest percentage increase, at 22%, while the Sorcerer Pass has the lowest at only 11%. While the prices have increased, there hasn’t been a significant increase in the perks or benefits of being an Annual Passholder. Dining and merchandise discounts, exclusive souvenirs, and other perks like limited-time meet and greets and lounges have remained about the same over the years. Disney World Passholder Merchandise We made a chart so you can take a look at the numbers for each pass, too. What pass do you prefer? 5. Disney has just acquired the rights to a popular youth fantasy series in a seven-figure deal! Disney will be working with the author to bring this fantasy world to life for audiences worldwide. The Walt Disney Company According to Deadline, Walt Disney Studios “won an auction to acquire rights to Impossible Creatures.” This popular fantasy series, written by author Katherine Rundell, has sold more than 4 million copies worldwide. The series has become a “publishing phenomenon on the order of Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, and Twilight Saga.” So far, two of the five planned books have been published in this series, and now, with this deal, Katherine Rundell will be adapting the first two books into screenplays. Deadline wrote that the finalists for the rights to Impossible Creatures included Disney, Warner Bros, and Netflix. Bob Iger, CEO of The Walt Disney Company, also made a statement saying, “When I read Impossible Creatures, I knew it belonged here at Disney. I was immediately drawn into the vibrant world Katherine imagined and the possibilities of what we could do together with this story. Written by Katherine herself, these movies are in the best of hands with our Walt Disney Studios team, and I can’t wait to see this tale brought to the screen.” So far, the series includes two books: Impossible Creatures and The Poisoned King, but the series will eventually feature five books. Katherine Rundell ©RCW Lit Agency The Impossible Creatures series follows Christopher as he learns about the Archipelago, where magical creatures have thrived for thousands of years, until now. After meeting Mal, Christopher and Mal team up on an adventure through the islands of the Archipelago to find out why the magic is fading and the magical creatures are dying. The first book in the series, titled Impossible Creatures, has been a #1 New York Times Bestseller and a Wall Street Journal Best Children’s Book of the Year. It has also been a Publishers Weekly, Kirkus Reviews, and Shelf Awareness Best Book of the Year. ©Amazon Numerous people were involved in Disney’s deal with Katherine Rundell, including David Greenbaum (President of Disney Live Action and 20th Century Studios), Daria Cercek (President of Disney Live Action), Allison Arlikhman (SVP Production), and Clare Reeth (Disney Head of Literary Affairs). The deal was brokered by Charles Collier via Chalcot Square Arts and Media Management directly with the Walt Disney Pictures team led by David Greenbaum, Kal Walthers, Paige Olson, and Bill Neuschaefer. ©Amazon With this deal, Disney will be working with Katherine Rundell to adapt the books to the big screen and Walt Disney Studios also has a stake in the five-book series and a first-look deal that includes all of Katherine Rundell’s current and upcoming lit properties. According to Deadline, this must-have Hollywood property could come with youth-appeal movies, merchandise and maybe even theme park attractions. Stay tuned to DFB for all your Disney news! 7. It’s been over 4 decades since Walt Disney World introduced Annual Passes, and yet a major perk of the program is STILL missing from the resort. Annual Passholder Walt Disney World first introduced the Annual Pass — then known by the full “Annual Passport” name — ticket options back in September of 1982. These passes — part of the company’s overall transition from general admission tickets and ticket books to “all-in” tickets, which covered park entry and ride access — initially offered a year of entry to the Magic Kingdom and the then-brand-new EPCOT Center for $100 for adults, $93 for juniors (yes, there was a “pre-teen” category for tickets back then), and $80 for children (3-11). Suffice to say, over the years, prices have gone up, but so have the number of perks available to APs. However, one popular benefit available at the Disneyland Resort has yet to make it over to the East Coast in the 30+ years I’ve been visiting “The Most Magical Place on Earth.” Walt Disney World does not offer exclusive Annual Passholder Lounges as a regular feature at the resort. There have been some offered during festivals, but none on a permanent basis. There ARE exclusive lounges available for Disney Vacation Club Members as well as exclusive meet & greet opportunities for Disney Visa Cardholders, but not for APs. McKim’s Mile House is the new DVC lounge in Magic Kingdom The Disneyland Resort stands in contrast, as the resort’s Magic Key program — Disneyland’s equivalent of Annual Passes — offers the Magic Key Terrace. This “special dining lounge created just for Magic Key holders and their guests “ is a place where Key Holders can enjoy signature drinks, flavorful meals, and scenic views from above the Golden Vine Winery in Disney’s California Adventure. Disney Of course, even without Annual Passholder Lounges, there still plenty of perks available for Disney World APs, including: Standard Theme Park Parking is included. Park Hopping (the ability to visit more than one park per day) is included. Discounts of up to 20% on select dining, merchandise, and activities (such as select tours, recreation options, and spa treatments). Annual Passholders are required to show a form of identification along with the portion of the My Disney Experience app that shows they are an Annual Passholder (instead of their physical Passholder card) in order to receive these discounts. Access to V.I.Passholder Support at (407) WDW-PASS or (407) 939-7277 from 7AM – 11PM EST or online. Exclusive merchandise for Passholders, such as Passholder-exclusive MagicBands and Passholder-exclusive items at EPCOT’s seasonal Festivals. (You can see ALL of the exclusive merchandise that is available ONLINE here!) Passholders who have connected their My Disney Experience account with their Annual Pass will get a unique color and sound sequence when using their MagicBands to enter the parks! Each Disney World theme park often has an exclusive dedicated entrance for Annual Passholders! Passholders are eligible for “Good-to-Go” days which do not require a Park Pass reservation, and do not count against your Park Pass reservation allotment. Disney notes that “the theme park reservation calendar will be updated periodically and will show Passholders select days when they may visit a Disney World theme park without needing a theme park reservation.” Savings on tickets for seasonal events, including Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and Jollywood Nights. AP Magnet Disney World Annual Passholders have access to a litany of perks at Walt Disney World, but Annual Passholder Lounges have never been one of them. 8. The lights are twinkling and the ornaments are shining. Christmas trees are sparkling at every single corner at Disney World. Christmastime at Disney can feel magical, but is it really the best when it’s still hot out, crowds are everywhere, and wait times are at their highest? Magic Kingdom during the holidays Admittedly, Christmas has never been my favorite time of year. When I moved to Florida and became an Annual Passholder, I didn’t think anything would change. Much to my surprise, I’m now the biggest fan of the holidays at Disney World, and let me tell you why you should be too. First up, it gets dark early, meaning you get to enjoy the lights all evening long. I know what you’re thinking: aren’t they just Christmas lights? And yes, they are just Christmas lights, but the effort Disney puts into lining Main Street, U.S.A., the resorts, and the parks results in so many strands that light up the night. The lights! I’m always someone who prefers to have as much daylight as possible, but I would be lying if I said I wasn’t happy when it hits 6 PM, and all the lights and Christmas trees turn on, making you feel like you’ve entered a whole new world. Don’t worry, even when it’s not dark, there are so many decorations that you get the Christmas magic without waiting for the sun to set, too. Decorations during the day I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many Christmas trees and gingerbread house displays as I’ve seen across Disney World. In your hometown, you might have to search for holiday events and then drive to another event just to get your fill of the holidays, but at Disney, all you need to do is walk to the resort next door to find more magic. It feels like everything is decorated and has special experiences! Wilderness Lodge One of my favorites is Animal Kingdom’s Merry Menagerie, which are adorable winter-themed puppets that hang around Discovery Island to take photos with people. Where else can you find something like this? Seal Merry Menagerie puppet at Animal Kingdom If you’ve been to Disney World a hundred times, it can feel like you’ve seen just about everything. Coming during the holidays can help spice it up! You already know you love Disney and the rides, so we get to enjoy everything with lights, festivities, and overall fun. I didn’t think it would feel that different when i visited with decorations but I’ve been looking forward to the holidays so I can have a different experience when I visit. The Grand Floridian One amazing thing during this time is the amount of specialty snacks! There are tons of limited-time snacks, and you know, here at Disney Food Blog, we go wild for them. We love special ice cream, fun churros, and desserts that are just too cute to handle. You can’t forget about the snacks at Jollywood Nights and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, which are exclusive to the after-hours events. Lump of Coal in Your Stocking Speaking of the after-hours events, there are after-hours events! Yes, they’re an additional cost, but it’s another way to make your trip feel more special. There’s exclusive entertainment, including fireworks, parades, and shows, along with special meet and greets. Not to be dramatic, but Jollywood Nights has a show featuring The Muppets. Kermit and Miss Piggy are actually puppeted right in front of you, and if that’s a bucket list item for you, make sure to prioritize Jollywood Nights. I went twice last year, because I loved the show so much! 2024 The Muppets hosted a Christmas show! The final reason why Christmastime is amazing at Disney World is that it’s not cold! It might feel weird at first, but once you realize you don’t have to bundle up in 10 layers to see Christmas lights and you can enjoy hot chocolate because you want to and not because you need it to stay warm, you’ll never skip Florida in the winter again. While it does get colder in mid-December, January, and February, don’t underestimate November, as it’s still pretty warm and you can still enjoy all the holiday experiences. Then you can still go home and have yourself a white Christmas, but you’ll always dream of wearing shorts while eating gingerbread forever. You don’t have to have your heavy sweaters like Sadness Don’t want to go through all of the stress of booking your Disney World trip alone? Reach out to our friends at Small World Vacations! Their experienced agents monitor your reservation for possible future savings, compare discounts, and figure out which one works best for your travel party, dates, resort, and touring plans. While planning a trip to Disney World around the holidays can be a lot, it can truly be worth it for the magical feeling of walking down Main Street, U.S.A., with snow falling around you without even needing a jacket. 11. Big things are happening at Tokyo Disney Resort! Tokyo Disneyland As one of the most innovative theme park resorts Disney has to offer anywhere in the world, we take great interest in the resort’s changes, both big and small. Recently, it was revealed that some major changes would be happening with the park’s operations, but what’s even more interesting is what these corporate adjustments could lead to. On September 24th, 2025, The Oriental Land Company (OLC) — the tourism company that owns and operates Tokyo Disney — released some information regarding a change in the organization, the appointment of corporate officers, and changes in the responsibilities of executive directors. Arendelle at Tokyo DisneySea The release detailed some pretty big changes taking effect on November 1st, 2025, including: In order to meet its 2035 Long-term Management Strategy, OLC is reorganizing its “entire structure into a function-based framework with greater agility and specialized expertise to strengthen and enhance the efficiency of each function.” Essentially, the company will reshuffle officer and executive roles, as well as divisional chains of command. OLC is also reorganizing the Operations Division, Food Division, and Merchandise Division into other divisions “to strengthen its park operations and menu/merchandise” in order to maximize efficiency. Operations will “unify the park operation departments currently under the Operations Division, Food Division, and Merchandise Division into a single division.” The CS Enhancement Department — which is responsible for supporting guest services — will be integrated into the new Operations Division. The company will also establish several new divisions to streamline certain entertainment, food, marketing, and business tasks better. To view all of the divisional changes, click here. A look at Tokyo Disney Sea So what does this mean for YOU and the average Tokyo Disney guest? In the short term, not much. Operations could become smoother, and the team behind Tokyo Disney could become more organized and efficient (fingers crossed), but the fruits of that labor won’t be felt immediately. Down the road, though? This reshuffling could yield some interesting prospects. A major reshuffling like this doesn’t happen unless the company isn’t pleased with the current state of the resort. Are the company’s eyes focused on a grand restructuring/expansion? Why does it feel it needs to shake things up? Oh, to be a fly on the wall. Fantasy Springs In 2024, Tokyo DisneySea opened the very successful Fantasy Springs expansion with world-class attractions, eats, and experiences, so the company should be riding high. However, this year has seen OLC’s stock underperform a bit with mixed results. What these changes will do to get the company back on track while surging ahead to some big gains remains to be seen. We don’t know what the restructuring could create — it’s possible that more theme park expansion happens or the company focuses on the enhancement of current offerings. What we do know is that, given our personal experience at the resort, we can’t wait for the next chapter and will bring you all the latest updates when they are released. 13. To wrap up a memorable 2025 Alaska cruise season, Disney Cruise Line crew members shared a little extra magic with the communities of Southeast Alaska as part of our ongoing commitment to making a positive impact in the places we sail around the world. Cast members and crew members from the Disney Wonder visited the ports of Juneau, Sitka and Ketchikan recently to connect with members of the local community and provide support in meaningful ways. Highlights included a visit from Captain Mickey Mouse at an assisted living facility, then a food pantry restocking effort, and the crew also hosted local Junior Achievement students for an exclusive ship tour, offering a behind-the-scenes look at maritime careers. “This is our strength at Disney Cruise Line: we can get closer to each local community we visit,” said Kana, Disney Wonder guest services crew member and Disney VoluntEAR. “The reason I volunteer is to get closer to the places that we go to and become friends with the people. It feels really good to be part of a company where I can do that.” Captain Mickey Mouse Surprises Community Members Residents of the Sitka Pioneer Home, along with children and families from a local school enjoyed a day of joy and togetherness as Disney VoluntEARS from the Disney Wonder hosted an end-of-summer celebration. Guests were surprised with a visit from Captain Mickey Mouse, who danced along and brought smiles to residents, many of whom were meeting Mickey for the very first time. “At the heart of Disney Cruise Line is the happiness we create and we’re able to do that for our guests every day, but to go the extra mile and do it for the community is something really special,” said Joshua, Disney Wonder assistant cruise director and Disney VoluntEAR. Crew Members Give Students Behind-the-Scenes Look of Jobs at Sea While docked in Juneau, Ketchikan and Sitka, Junior Achievement students were given an exclusive look at the many maritime career roles during job shadowing tours, hosted by the Disney Wonder crew members themselves. “We’re thrilled to play a part in helping develop, grow, and champion young adults to be the next voices of the maritime industry,” said Simpson, Disney Wonder learning and development manager. “We hope that giving the students a glimpse of our positions at Disney Cruise Line they now know all the steps they can take to start their career journey, and anything is possible.” Students spent time with crew members whose roles span from environmental officers to crew engagement managers to housekeeping management, learning about their career pathways and how sustainability, an inclusive work environment, and exceptional service are interwoven at Disney Cruise Line. Helping Local Small Businesses Grow & Giving Back to the Community For the second year in a row, Disney Cruise Line worked with Southeast Alaska organization Spruce Root, contributing to their “Path to Prosperity” business development program for Alaska Native entrepreneurs and small businesses. With support from Disney Cruise Line, Spruce Root provided training, mentorship and resources to small business owners to help build sustainable, community-focused businesses in the port communities the Disney Wonder calls home. “Without support from businesses like Disney Cruise Line, Spruce Root wouldn’t be able to provide those services to businesses like mine,” said Nicole Goodman, owner of Klondike Electric Bikes in Skagway. “That’s such an amazing thing to know that Disney is giving back to our community by investing in programs and helping our local businesses because it’s the key to making us all successful.” In the capital city of Juneau, Disney VoluntEARS also helped make a difference in the community by visiting the Southeast Alaksa Food Bank to sort, pack, and prepare food for distribution to local families in need. 14. Disney World has officially raised prices on just about everything — park tickets, snacks, parking, and even annual pass prices. Disney World Annual Pass And, while these sweeping price hikes will certainly have an impact on your next trip, there is still good news on the horizon — for Disney World Annual Passholders, at least. While Annual Pass prices have increased, so has the discount for current annual pass renewals. While not every annual pass tier received a renewal discount increase, some of them did — which is good news, considering the price of all of them went up. The new Disney World Annual Pass prices are below: Disney Incredi-Pass — $1,629 Disney Sorcerer Pass — $1,099 Disney Pirate Pass — $869 Disney Pixie Dust Pass — $489 Annual Pass card If you’re a current Disney World Annual Passholder looking to renew your pass, you’ll get a discount on the total price of the pass. The renewal discount for the highest tier, Incredi-Pass, remained at $250, as it was the previous year. That brings the renewal price to $1,379. The Sorcerer Pass did get an increased renewal discount. The discount was previously $150, and has now been raised to $170. The total price for this renewal is $929, which is the same as it was last year. Annual Pass The Pirate Pass renewal discount did not change, and it remains at $120 for a total renewal price of $749. Finally, the Pixie Dust Pass renewal discount increased from $70 to $90, which makes the renewal cost the same as it was last year at $399. Disney World Annual Pass So, while Disney did increase the base price for new annual passes, it seems as though current Annual Passholders will be paying around the same prices they did last year when it comes to renewing. We’ll be on the lookout for additional updates you need to know about from Disney World and beyond. In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more! 15. Who’s ready to caffeinate in Disney World? Epic Cold Brew Spectacular! Us, it’s us! Now, it’s already no secret that there are plenty of places to get great coffee in Disney World, including Starbucks and Joffrey’s. But sometimes, we see some new coffee drinks pop up in unexpected places, and it seems like Disney World is finally jumping on the cold brew trend (Disneyland has been riding that trend for a while), so we’ve got some new cold brew drinks in Disney World to tell you about! Okay, let’s start with a jump down the rabbit hole over in Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom. Cheshire Cafe just dropped The White Rabbit. It’s Joffrey’s Cold Brew Coffee with White Chocolate Sauce, Raspberry Cold Foam, Raspberry Powder, and a Chocolate Piece for $6.79. First, though, we have to show you what this drink is SUPPOSED to look like: ©Disney Let’s just say our version of The White Rabbit looked like The Queen of Hearts got a hold of it. Yes, there’s a whole expectation vs. reality thing going on here. Reality With that being said, our reporter isn’t a big coffee drinker, although cold brew usually doesn’t have that bitter taste that comes with coffee that’s brewed hot. However, we liked the whipped cream on top, and we could taste the raspberry, but it’s only on top with the cream. The coffee was sweet and had very little bitterness, but our reporter just couldn’t get over how watery it seemed. So your mileage on this drink could vary, but we were disappointed. We wouldn’t get this again The Honey-Lavender Cold Brew has landed over at Golden Oak Outpost. It’s made with Joffrey’s Cold Brew Coffee with Honey-Lavender Cold Foam, Honeycomb Toffee, and a Sugar Candy Piece for $6.29. The same reporter tried this one, and even as someone who doesn’t normally drink coffee, this one was a hit. We loved the sweet foam on top, as well as the sweetness from the honeycomb. It’s a well-balanced cold brew with some unique flavors, and we really appreciated that. So this is one that would even please someone who doesn’t regularly drink coffee. Honey-Lavender Cold Brew Over in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you can grab a new cold brew at Epic Eats. It’s the Epic Cold Brew Spectacular! Yep, with a name like that, we had high expectations. It’s made with Vanilla-Flavored Joffrey’s Cold Brew Coffee with Cookie Butter Cold Foam and “Your Share of the Treasure” for $6.79. In case you didn’t figure it out, this is a coffee themed to Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular!, and the little chocolate Indiana Jones hat on top is TOO cute. The hat is just a hollow piece of chocolate, and it’s just standard milk chocolate. But it’s still a lot of fun. It’s TOO cute That hint of vanilla in the coffee is SO nice, and it’s light, so it doesn’t weigh down the drink. If you want to get that cookie butter flavor, though, it sinks to the bottom, so give it a good stir. But overall, it’s a solid drink, and we would seek it out just for the sake of it. It’s also a nice addition to the Epic Eats menu. HOWEVER, we saw a lot of kids who wanted this drink, and well, unless you’re willing to give your kids coffee, it’s probably a “no.” So maybe we need some kind of kids’ version, too? A closer look So now that we’re good and energized, we’ll be keeping an eye out for more new food and drinks in Disney World. So stay tuned to DFB for more. 16. It’s the little things in life that make us so happy at Disney World. It’s truly what brings the magic to life and keeps us coming time and time again. Donald! We meet characters all the time, but some interactions feel a little more special than others. This was one of those days when Donald Duck stole the show, and we’ll be talking about it forever. After this super fun interaction, we weren’t going to let the hot sauce go to waste! We headed to La Cantina de San Angel to grab a side of chips and guacamole to eat with our hot sauce. The sauce was super rich and flavorful, and while it was certainly spicy, we didn’t find it too overwhelming. For a fun souvenir that you can take home and use for a few months, we think this is the way to go. Gotta eat it, too! Donald Duck probably loves this, especially after he was on Hot Ones! Hopefully, steam won’t come out of his ears this time. ©Disney We had such a blast with this, and it truly made us smile. We’re not mad to have a delicious bottle of hot sauce, too. 17. We look at Disney World menu updates every week, and recently, we’ve noticed a very interesting trend: more non-alcoholic drinks and zero-proof cocktails are making it to menus. We’re talking about drinks not targeted at kids, but instead, at adults who don’t wish to drink alcohol. Non-alcoholic cocktail Well, this is a trend that’s taking over right now, perhaps in part thanks to Gen Z, who are drinking significantly less alcohol than the generations that came before them. Well, in timely fashion, Disney World just held its first non-alcoholic beverage-focused pairing event, and we were there to check it out — and it honestly surprised us. We were invited by Enzo’s Hideaway in Disney Springs to check out a media preview of the Mindful Midday Pairing, which was held in partnership with the non-alcoholic spirits brand Aplós. We got a chance to sample three courses from the restaurant matched with non-alcoholic beverages that “include functional ingredients that still produce a calming sensation, but avoid alcohol’s harmful effects.” Aplos Ease and Arise For the first course, we were served Porchetta Con Insalata, made with crispy porchetta, arugula, fennel, citrus, white balsamic, and tangerine extra virgin olive oil. This was a wonderful, fresh, and light start to the experience. Porchetta Con Insalata With that, we drank the Americano, made with Aplos Arise, housemade hibiscus bitter, and zero-proof sweet vermouth. This tasted a lot like grapefruit with the combination of flavors. It was fruity with a hint of sweetness. Paired with the salad, it really helped even out the bitter flavor of the arugula. This was probably our favorite pairing of the event. Americano The second course was Lumache Alla Vodka Con Gamberi, made with housemade pasta, grilled shrimp, tomato cream, ‘nduja, parmigiano-reggiano, and salsa verde. As our reporter is allergic to shellfish, the chefs made us a version without the shrimp. The pasta was amazing, even without the shrimp. It was creamy and full of tomato flavor with just a hint of spice. There was also something like breadcrumbs mixed into the sauce that added a lovely texture. Lumache Alla Vodka Con Gamberi The pairing was a drink called Coriander Sky, made with Aplos Arise, lemongrass ginger tea, coriander agave syrup, orange blossom water, acid-adjusted lime juice, and ginger soda. This was our favorite drink of the experience! It’s kinda like a lemony ginger ale, but the flavors are more complex. The coriander agave syrup almost gives it a cinnamon or nutmeg-like flavor. The drink was very well-balanced, sweet, but not TOO sweet. It was the perfect accompaniment to the pasta. Coriander Sky The third course was dessert. We were served Melon Shaved Ice and Mint. Okay, so we were mixed about this. We enjoyed it, but there was a really strong bitter flavor that came through occasionally that we didn’t like. The shaved ice had a jelly consistency in parts. We will say the flavors were better when paired with the drink, but this wasn’t a fave. Melon Shaved Ice and Mint Paired with that was the Desert Bloom, made with Aplos Ease, salted watermelon juice, hibiscus mint syrup, lime juice, ginger shrub, and cardamom bitters. This one has a bit of a vinegary bite to it, which sounds weird, but trust us…it worked beautifully. The sweetness balances it all out, and you get a nice watermelon and mint flavor with just a hint of ginger. It’s certainly a great dessert drink that was very well-balanced and not overwhelmingly sweet. Desert Bloom Overall, we were super impressed with the drinks. They really tasted like well-balanced cocktails, and it was hard to remember that they didn’t contain alcohol. You also get some of the effects that were promised. The drinks with the Arise made us feel energized, while the drink with the Ease made us feel a little more relaxed. The effects are small, but it’s actually nice because sometimes alcohol can hit you so hard and fast. Enzo’s Hideaway held its first official Mindful Midday Pairing on October 11th, but the restaurant is hoping to have another similar event in January, so if you’re interested, you’ll want to keep an eye out for that. 20. Who doesn’t love trying unique snacks around Disney World? We know we do (DUH — that’s why we’re Disney Food Blog)! Blue Milk We will admit that sometimes this means we’ve got to try treats that are, for lack of a better word, disappointing (and sometimes just flat-out BLECH, but that’s a rarity), but it’s all worth it for those snacks that totally knock our socks off. Over in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you’ve likely heard of the famous Blue and Green Milk in Galaxy’s Edge. For some, it’s controversial, but if you’ve tried both and want something a little more unique and elevated, look no further than the Tenoo Swirl Crunchies Cereal. The Tenoo Swirl Crunchies Cereal is made with Blue Milk and topped with Raspberry Jelly and Mini Rainbow Crunchy Candies. It’ll cost you $10.79. It’s not new, but we love to talk about ANY and ALL Disney snacks around here. Now, because we’re us, we tend to over-analyze things. We noticed that Disney has a discrepancy with this treat, where the Disney Dining Plan snack credit signage was removed from the menu in the park, but was still designated as snack credit eligible on Mobile Order. After some investigation, though, we confirmed that you can order this treat with a snack credit if you’re using the Disney Dining Plan! At $10, that’s a pretty good value for a snack credit! The Nerds-like candy at the top! The topping here reminded us of Nerds candy, which we love! As you get further into the cup, you hit the raspberry jelly drizzled on the sides, and you really do need to use your straw to scrape it off and mix everything together to REALLY appreciate this mix of ingredients. Be sure to mix it up! The raspberry here doesn’t dominate the drink (or taste exactly like raspberry for that matter); it just adds sweetness and a fruit-forward boost that enhances the Blue Milk’s flavor. We think this treat is a great way to make Blue Milk feel new again for people who’ve had it plenty of times and might be bored with it. It looks cool, it tastes delicious, and it fits the point of eating food from another planet because you can’t QUITE nail down the flavor. We’re big fans! We’d grab this version over the regular Blue Milk any day, so if you’ve got a bit more of a sweet tooth, we do recommend this one. If you’re trying to decide between Blue Milk and Green Milk, most people say they prefer Blue Milk, though some members of our team have always been split down the middle. Blue has the “safer,” more palatable flavor profile, while green is a little more adventurous, so keep that in mind! Check it out! WE KNOW – there are SO many great snacks at Disney World! 21. When Disney World announced that they were dropping a BUNCH of new chicken tender meals, you best believe we were celebrating like it was a national holiday. There were about a million exclamation marks used in messages, and schedules and plans were created just so we could eat alllll the new dishes. ALL the chicken tenders We went to the parks and tried these special chicken tender meals all across Disney World, and we’re spilling all the details here with you. Sit back and relax, and read up on which chicken tender meal you should try during your next visit to Disney World. All of these 13 chicken tender meals feature the same chicken strips you know and love from Disney Parks, with a crispy breading on the outside and a white, juicy inside. What makes these all special is the toppings that come with them! First, we headed to Magic Kingdom to try the Seaside Chicken Strips at Columbia Harbour House for $12.99. These are topped with a seasoned aioli, crushed pretzels, and crispy garlic, and y’all, don’t knock pretzels and chicken tenders together. You can taste all of the spices in the aioli without it being spicy, and the crispy pretzels add a beautiful crunch and a punch of salt. Seaside Chicken Strips Despite being called Seaside Chicken Strips, these are meant to be eaten by the water, and no seafood elements have made it to the dish. We loved the salt and how the crispy garlic added a deeper depth of flavor without making each bite overwhelmingly garlicy. These were a win in our book! Worth every penny Then we tried the Lemon Pepper-Parmesan Chicken Strips at Pinocchio Village Haus for $12.99. These are coated in garlic butter and parmesan with lemon-pepper seasoning. Lemon Pepper Parmesan Chicken Strips The lemon made each bite bright and acidic, and the black pepper added a spicy taste without the heat. The Parmesan also helped cool down the black pepper. What we really appreciated was how it wasn’t overwhelming with lemon pepper seasoning but had a great balance from the cheese, garlic, salt, lemon, and black pepper. The toppings stuck well on the chicken, making it easy to eat, too. Diving in We also had the Buffalo Chicken Strips at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe for $12.99. This is coated in buffalo sauce and topped with ranch seasoning. Buffalo Chicken Strips Our reporter, who is not the biggest fan of spice and buffalo sauce, loved these! The sauce wasn’t too spicy; instead, it came at the end of each bite as a kick, allowing you to taste the sauce without your tongue burning off. There wasn’t a ton of ranch seasoning on top to cool it down, so we could have used more or had a side of ranch, but these had great classic flavor, and you’ll have those traditional orange fingers at the end. Four chicken strips Then we headed to Animal Kingdom to try the Waffle Cone Chicken Strips at Restaurantosaurus for $12.99. It’s also available at Beaches Pool Bar and Grill at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Yes, you’re looking at it right: there are chicken strips being served in a waffle cone bowl! These chicken strips are coated in maple syrup and have a crunchy exterior similar to crushed-up waffle cones. Waffle Cone Chicken Strips I don’t know about you, but I’ve never seen chicken and waffles like this! The bowl created a fun crunch, and the chicken had a great level of sweetness without being too sticky. Eating the bowl and the chicken at the same time can be a little difficult, but this was such a silly take that we enjoyed the effort. Chicken and waffles After that, we went to Hollywood Studios for the Spicy Aioli Chicken Strips for $12.99 at Rosie’s All-American Cafe. Before we get too far, when you see the menu, you’ll find the Spicy Aioli Chicken Strips for $12.99 and the Chicken Strips listed below for a few dollars less. We had originally thought we could order it without the side and just get the chicken, but it turned out to be the plain, traditional chicken tenders instead. For the Spicy Aioli Chicken Strips, you have to order a side with it as well. Spicy Aioli Chicken Strips The chicken was drizzled with the aioli that gave a very slight heat and was mostly tangy with a hint of sweetness. We wish it were coated or dunked into the sauce (or we got extra on the side), but because there wasn’t too much sauce, we didn’t find these too incredible, and while they were good if you’re already going to be eating at Rosie’s, we’re not sure we would seek these out. Look at that delicious inside Continuing on (we told you there was a lot of chicken!), we tried the Honey Buffalo Chicken Strips with Ranch for $12.99 at Backlot Express. These chicken strips, on the other hand, versus the Spicy Aioli Chicken Strips, were completely glazed in their sauce, and we were here for it. Honey Buffalo Chicken Strips There is a low heat, so you know it’s there, and while you can’t individually pull out the honey flavor, it adds a bit of sweetness to each bite. There was ranch drizzled on top, and you can also grab a side of ranch if you love to dunk your chicken tenders. We thought these were really well-rounded and very enjoyable to eat. We needed more ranch! We then tried the Gochujang-glazed Chicken Strips for $12.99, which you can grab at Capt. Cook’s at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Everything POP Shopping & Dining at Disney’s Pop Century Resort. We won’t lie — these strips are a little overwhelming, but in a good way. The Gochujang sauce tastes like really spicy ketchup, but it’s very well-balanced. Gochujang-glazed Chicken Strips It DOES have a bit of heat to it, so you’ll want to be warned about that. These strips are also fully covered in the sauce, which makes the strips a little softer. We also loved the house-made chips because they’re more unique than standard fries. We won’t lie, though — these strips are on our personal list of faves, even if they sorta set our mouths on fire. They are spicy! Next up was the Jerk BBQ Chicken Strips with Pineapple Salsa for $12.99, which you can find at the following spots: End Zone Food Court at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter Riverside Mill Food Court at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — Riverside Gasparilla Island Grill at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa The Mara at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Jerk BBQ Chicken Strips So these are more of a loaded fries…situation because it was served with fries on the bottom, then chicken strips, then sauce and toppings. Y’all…we LOVED that. The barbecue sauce has a nice low heat, but it is a sweeter barbecue sauce with additional sweetness coming from the pineapple salsa. The chicken strips under the sauce were regular strips, but the toppings really elevated them. We were honestly surprised we could pick these up at the Grand Floridian, and they are easily in our top three of chicken strips we’ve had so far. We LOVED these Finally, we had the Sweet Chili Aioli Chicken Strips for $12.99, and you can find these at the following locations: World Premiere Food Court at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort Landscape of Flavors at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort Centertown Market at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort Spyglass Grill at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort The Artist’s Palette at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa Roaring Fork at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Typhoon Tilly’s at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park Wind & Waves Market at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort Sweet Chili Aioli Chicken Strips You get these served with standard fries. The chicken strips reminded us of an Outback blooming onion because you’ve got that breaded crispy layer with some chicken on the inside. The sauce also reminds us of the sauce served with the blooming onion, so you’ve got those same types of flavors. That sauce is drizzled on, so you don’t get too much of it. But we would have liked to have had more on the side. The sauce has a light heat with a nice sweetness. However, we feel like these could’ve been better with some green onions or crispy onions on top. The strips are nice and crispy, though. Blooming Onion flavors Heads up, by the way, when we were getting all these chicken tenders, the Cast Members were really excited about them and wanted feedback. So if you order them, be sure to tell them what you think so they can get that feedback to their chefs and teams. We had a chicken festival, which made it the best week at Disney World ever! 22. Yes, we’re going to say it over and over again: You need to stay hydrated when you visit Disney World. And yes, we’re always going to recommend bringing your own water bottle. Stanley IceFlow That’s because water is NOT cheap in the parks (and prices keep going UP), and there are water bottle refill stations pretty much everywhere in Disney World hotels and parks. Then you can always grab that free cup of water at counter service restaurants to keep your water bottle filled. However, you want that water to stay cold, so we’ve tested four water bottles in Disney World so you know they’re worth your money. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. These are our tried and true water bottles for Disney World. Get the Simple Modern Minnie Mouse Water Bottle The Simple Modern! First, this water bottle is ADORABLE because it’s covered in Minnie Mouse heads. There’s also more that meets the eye: this bottle looks small, but it holds a lot of water. It also comes with a separate silicone tube that you can put inside. This kept our water ice cold for about four hours, but we did find we were grabbing fresh water after those few hours. This bottle also doesn’t sweat, and we liked drinking out of the flip top. It’s also pretty spill-proof. View on Amazon Buy the Hydro Flask Water Bottle The Hydro Flask! We also tried out the Hydro Flask water bottle, and although it’s not our #1 fave, we like how slim it is, which means it works even in the slimmest cup holders in your car or day bag. The top also flips up and down easily, but also locks securely in place to keep your water from spilling out. It did a great job of keeping our water cold for six hours in weather above 90 degrees. View on Amazon Get the Stanley IceFlow Flip Water Bottle Stanley IceFlow Where are our Stanley fans? This Stanley water bottle is one of our top picks. It’s easy to carry, and we love the flushed design at the top. You can even keep ice in this baby for a couple of hours before it starts to melt. It also comes apart super easy so you can get it good and clean. It’s also just the perfect size. View on Amazon Buy the Owala FreeSip Water Bottle The Rapunzel Owala Okay, we haven’t made it a secret that we love our Owala water bottles. We love how durable these bottles are…you can drop it and it’s going to be FINE. The top is really easy to work with, too, but still well-covered to prevent spills and leaks. It even comes with a reusable straw. 25. I was devastated when Muppets Courtyard closed down in Hollywood Studios at Disney World, but as a huge Monsters, Inc. fan, I can look past the Muppets moving to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and look forward to entering the world of Monsters, Inc. ©Disney There’s a new exhibit in Walt Disney Presents that showcases the new models of the Monsters, Inc. land. Big news, folks: we don’t have to call it Monsters, Inc. land anymore. We’ve been keeping up with all the details on Monsters, Inc. land since it was announced in 2024, but Disney has been switching back and forth in calling it “Monsters, Inc. land” and “Monstropolis.” When it was originally announced, it was just called Monsters, Inc. land. ©Disney Later at SXSW, Disney Parks Blog posted that “Pixar Chief Creative Officer Pete Docter and Imagineer Michael Hundgen walked the crowd through their latest upcoming immersive space to occupy Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Monstropolis.” Beyond this, Disney has been calling it Monsters, Inc. land. ©Disney With the new exhibit in Walt Disney Presents in Hollywood Studios, it looks like Disney is officially calling it Monstropolis, just like where Mike and Sully live in the movie. Monstropolis We feel the same kind of relief we did when the new Cars-themed land coming to Magic Kingdom officially got its name of Piston Peak and … Coming Coming to Frontierland at Magic Kingdom, a new area themed to Pixar Animation Studios’ “Cars” will leave Radiator Springs and head to the wilderness with two new attractions including an off-road race. …when the Tropical Americas land in Animal Kingdom got the name Pueblo Esperanza. We love having proper names to call everything! Pueblo Esperanza Market Concept Art ©Disney We still don’t have names for restaurants, the show, and the hanging door roller coaster, but we sure are excited for it to be moving along. We know they’re hard at work tearing down Muppets Courtyard and welcoming in the monsters, and we can’t wait for more details to be announced. Make sure you keep following Disney Food Blog for more updates on new lands and attractions coming to Disney Parks.
