If you’re reading this post, then our guess is that you have a Disney World trip coming up soon. If that’s the case — congratulations! Stroller parking We know that picking the right stroller for the parks can be stressful. Should you bring the one you already have at home? Do you need to snag a new one? Will a little travel stroller do? Well, there’s no need to panic — we’re here to help. We have a team of parents who have been to Disney World over and over again. That means we have a ton of insider knowledge on the best strollers for the parks! So, let’s get into it! Disney’s Stroller Policy Disney allows guests to bring their own strollers, but there are size and type restrictions. Strollers must be no larger than 31 inches wide and 52 inches long. Wagons and stroller wagons are not allowed, even if they are pushed like a stroller. Your stroller must be able to fold easily—especially important when boarding trams, buses, or boats. Sea of strollers Stroller parking is required in designated areas, and Cast Members may move your stroller to keep walkways clear, so it’s helpful to label yours with a tag or ribbon for easy identification. If you don’t want to bring one, strollers can be rented inside the parks or from third-party vendors like Kingdom Strollers or Buena Vista Strollers near Disney World. Disney World Rental Strollers What to Look for in a Travel Stroller (Especially for Disney) When choosing a travel stroller, these features make a big difference in usability at a theme park: Feature Why It Matters at Disney Compact/lightweight yet sturdy You’ll be folding it often (for buses, trams, small ferries) and pushing long distances. Quick & easy fold (ideally one-handed) Lines form fast; you’ll want to fold/unfold smoothly without hassles. Fits Disney’s size rules Disney allows strollers up to 31″ wide × 52″ long. Wagons are not allowed. Good canopy/sun protection + rain cover compatibility Florida sun and occasional rain demand good coverage. Decent wheels/suspension Pavement, sidewalks, park paths: you’ll want a smooth ride for your little one. Storage/basket For water bottles, snacks, and souvenirs. But the lighter the better. Easy to identify / mark Disney stroller parking areas can get crowded; mark yours so you can spot it. Disney also requires that strollers be folded when boarding trams, buses, and some ferries. Some modes (like the Skyliner) might not require folding for single strollers, but double ones may need to fold. Best Strollers for Disney World Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 ©Amazon The Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 is a premium and versatile stroller. It has a good bit of storage and all-terrain tires. The handlebar adjusts, and this is a great one to grow with your family. You can add a glider board, which is a lot of fun. It’s also very easy to fold down! The cons are that it’s a bit heavier and bulkier than an ultra compact stroller — so it will be kind of heavy when you’re folding it and transporting it in and out of the bus, Skyliner, or even the train. VIEW ON AMAZON Mockingbird Single-to-Double Stroller 2.0 ©Amazon The Mockingbird is another one that is super versatile. Personally, this is the stroller that I take to Disney World. I love that the seat easily reclines and the wheels have a really good turn radius. There are so many different ways for this stroller to be arranged. Your little can face you, they can face out. You can add a little stroller or another seat if you have 2 kiddos. Like the stroller above, this is a BIG stroller. So yes, it has a lot of storage, but it is also heavy and large when folded. The other issue is that there will be a LOT of these strollers in the parks, so you are going to want to make sure yours is marked well so it doesn’t get confused with another. VIEW ON AMAZON Uppababy Vista 3 ©Amazon This stroller is a bit more expensive than the others, but it comes with a LOT of accessories that are useful in Disney World, like the rain shield and the storage bag. This stroller also handles rough paths well, folds easily, and is a good all-terrain choice. VIEW ON AMAZON Munchkin Sparrow Ultra‑Compact Travel Stroller ©Amazon The Munchkin Sparrow folds super small, like small enough to be a carry-on! This stroller is also lightweight; ideal for flights or squeezing into tight spaces. There is still a good amount of storage, and it will fold up to be pretty small! The con is that on rough park surfaces, the ride may be a bit more jostly. VIEW ON AMAZON Britax Juniper Compact Stroller ©Amazon This is another stroller that folds up really small! It’s compact, easier to maneuver, and fits tighter spaces. The con is that since this is smaller, there’s not a lot of storage. VIEW ON AMAZON Our Favorite Stroller Accessories Stroller Name Tag ©Amazon A stroller name tag is the easiest way to keep track of your stroller. Just tie it to the back of your stroller, and you’ll easily be able to pick it out of the crowd since it literally has your name on it! VIEW ON AMAZON Rain Cover ©Amazon We always talk about needing a poncho in Disney World. And y’all, you will be THANKING us if you get a poncho for your stroller in Disney World. The last thing you want is to be stuck on a ride while it starts pouring rain, and then you come out to a soaked stroller and sopping wet souvenirs. VIEW ON AMAZON Stroller Caddy ©Amazon Having somewhere to hold your snacks, wallet, phone, and drinks is a necessity in Disney World. That’s why we always suggest a stroller caddy so you can have the most important stuff close to you! VIEW ON AMAZON We know that there is a lot to think of and plan when going on a Disney World vacation, especially with littles. We’re here to help, so stay tuned to DFB for more! Sometimes, we find ourselves craving dinner AND a show. Where do we go to be entertained and well-fed? Straight to Disney Springs! But before you settle in for some live entertainment, you may want to read this first. A major change has come to a popular Disney Springs restaurant, as the longtime house band at The Edison has stepped away. The Edison at Disney Springs Sound City Radio, which provided music at the establishment for the better part of a decade, took to Instagram at the end of September to announce its departure. Here’s what we know about the change. The post read in part, “For the past 4 years, we’ve had the honor of sharing unforgettable moments with every talented performer who stepped onto our stage, and every guest who sang, danced, and celebrated alongside us.” Sound City Radio clarified that it was not the end of the band, however, as they wrote, “This may be the closing curtain on our time at The Edison, but it’s far from the end of the journey.” The Edison stage Finally, the bad ended on a positive note, imploring guests to “be sure to show some love to the new house band ‘Moxy,’ stepping into the spotlight at The Edison.” So, yes, that means a NEW band has taken over at The Edison. You can hear them perform live at Disney World NOW! The Edison The Edison opened to great fanfare at Disney Springs in late 2017, and the 1920s-themed establishment quickly became a fan favorite thanks to its unique atmosphere, cocktail culture, and live entertainment offerings. The Edison The Edison’s longtime house band has departed, marking a major change in the Disney Springs establishment. Stay tuned to DFB for more on Disney World changes. The holidays at Disney World are right around the corner, and if you’re planning to visit during November, here are a few tips from a November pro to help you! Happy Holidays from Magic Kingdom! November at Disney World is one of my favorite times of the year. My family has gone in November for four out of the last five years, and every single trip has been filled with gorgeous decorations, festive vibes, and some of the best weather you’ll find in Florida. But, and this is a big but, there are definitely some things I wish I’d known before that first trip. Don’t Expect Christmas Parades Unless You’re at the Party It’s easy to assume that once the holiday season hits, you’ll see Christmas happening everywhere, and while that’s mostly true, the special holiday entertainment is exclusive to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in Magic Kingdom. Unless you’re attending one of the party nights, you won’t see the Christmas parade, festive fireworks, or exclusive character meet-and-greets. These only happen during the party, which requires a separate ticket. Toy Soldiers in the Once Upon a Christmastime Parade If you’re hoping to see Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, or rare characters like the Seven Dwarfs in holiday gear, you’ll need to book a party night. In 2025, the party runs on select nights from November 8 through December 20th. One important exception, though! If you’ll be in Disney World the week of Christmas, you will get to see Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade — they swap it out with the usual Festival of Fantasy Parade that week. Find All The Information for the 2025 Christmas Party Here Holiday Magic Is Everywhere, Not Just in Magic Kingdom Magic Kingdom may be the poster child for Disney Christmas, but don’t spend all your time there! Every park and even Disney Springs get decked out for the holidays! EPCOT hosts the International Festival of the Holidays, starting November 28th, complete with food booths, storytellers from around the world, and the beloved Candlelight Processional. Disney’s Hollywood Studios brings retro charm with tinsel-filled decor, vintage tunes, Jollywood Nights, and sometimes surprise character outfits. Disney’s Animal Kingdom features the charming Merry Menagerie puppet performers near the Tree of Life, which is one of the most underrated festive touches in the parks. Disney Springs has its Christmas Tree Stroll, seasonal snacks, and even occasional “snowfall” at night! And pay a visit to Jock Lindsey’s during the Christmas season, when it converts into Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar! They usually throw the Christmas switch sometime in mid-November. 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Holidays Passport Be Ready for Early Park Closures If you’re not attending Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party or the new Jollywood Nights event at Hollywood Studios, be aware that the parks close early on event nights, sometimes as early as 6:00 PM for non-party guests. Magic Kingdom closes early on MVMCP dates: November: 7th, 10th, 11th, 13th, 14th, 16th, 18th, 20th, 21st, 25th, 26th, 28th, 30th December: 2nd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 9th, 11th, 12th, 14th, 16th, 18th, 19th, 21st Hollywood Studios may close early on select nights for Jollywood Nights: November: 8th, 15th, 17th, 22nd, 24th, 29th (Saturdays and Mondays) December: 1st, 6th, 10th, 13th, 17th, 20th, 22nd Be sure to check the official park hours for your travel dates so you don’t accidentally plan a big night in the park that gets cut short. Use early closure nights to explore a decorated resort, dine at Disney Springs, or watch the EPCOT fireworks instead! But hey — PLOT TWIST! Sometimes we purposely plan to go to Magic Kingdom or Hollywood Studios on these short days. You’ll often find some very thin crowds and short lines. Jollywood Nights Don’t Skip the Resorts — They’re Holiday Destinations Too! One of the best-kept holiday secrets? Disney’s resorts are FULL of Christmas magic, and you don’t need to be staying there to enjoy them! Be sure to check out the full gingerbread carousel at Disney’s Beach Club, or stunning Christmas trees and themed decorations around resorts like Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, and more. Some resorts even offer holiday snacks or drinks, and most have unique trees that reflect their theme. If you’re looking for a non-park day activity, resort hopping during the holidays is an absolute must-do. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Christmas Tree (One caveat, though: You’ve probably heard about the life-size gingerbread house in the lobby of the Grand Floridian Resort. It IS a must-visit, but it’s not going to be installed for 2025 because of hotel renovations.) Watch Out for Crowds Around Veterans Day and Thanksgiving November isn’t the peak holiday season, but don’t be fooled, crowds definitely show up, especially during Veterans Day week and Thanksgiving week. While it’s not as crowded as Christmas week, you’ll still see higher wait times, more congested parks, and a spike in Lightning Lane prices due to Disney’s demand-based pricing system. If you’re planning to visit during these weeks, make park reservations early, have a good Lightning Lane strategy, and consider early entry or Extended Evening Hours if you qualify. The parks can feel busier than you expect, and knowing that ahead of time can help manage expectations. Disney’s Hollywood Studios It Gets Chilly… Seriously! Yes, Florida is known for its heat, but November mornings and evenings can get surprisingly cold. We’ve had days that started in the 50s and ended in the 80s. Bring a sweatshirt or light jacket, and definitely pack layers for the kids. You’ll be grateful when the sun goes down and the breeze picks up (especially if you’re waiting for fireworks or walking around Disney Springs at night). A warm outfit can make the difference between a magical evening and a shivering one! Jollywood Nights Despite the quirks, early closings, and occasional crowd surges, I absolutely love visiting Disney World in November. It feels festive without the chaos of December, and there’s something so cozy about walking down Main Street under twinkling lights with a hot cocoa in hand. If you’re heading there this November, I hope this helps you plan ahead. Hollywood Studios Holiday Decorations For more Disney World holiday news, follow us at DFB! Thanks to serving as the gateway to mega-popular tourist destinations, including Walt Disney World and the Universal Orlando Resort, Orlando International Airport (MCO) is one of the busiest airports in the country. However, not all of its terminals are created equal. Inside Terminal C at MCO Airport I’ve been traveling through MCO for over 30 years now, to the point where I’m arguably more familiar with Orlando International than I am the airports in my local area. However, even I was taken aback the first time I flew through the airport’s Terminal C, as were many members of our DFB team. The massive terminal, which opened as part of an expansion of MCO in 2022, features 20 gates and mainly caters to international flights as well as JetBlue flights. However, the new terminal is more than that: From a design and amenities standpoint, it’s a game-changer for MCO. Orlando International Airport Terminal C One of the first things we noticed was noise, or more precisely, the lack thereof. The terminal’s design actively reduced noise. Combined with the atmospheric music, which can be described as serene and spa-like, Terminal C might be the calmest airport terminal we’ve ever experienced. Terminal C also offers a much wider variety of shopping and dining options than it’s A and B predecessors, with an emphasis on local brands including Barnie’s Coffee & Tea Co., Provisions by Cask & Larder, Cucina & Co., Orlando Brewing Bar & Bites, Wine Bar George, Olde Hearth Bread Co., Sunshine Diner by Chef Art Smith, Orange County Brewers, Raw Juce, and Cask & Larder Public House. Terminal C Speaking of stores, the terminal also offers massive Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando stores — among other major brands — so you can either get a jump on scouting souvenirs when you arrive, or pick up some last-minute gifts before you board your flight. ©Orlando International Airport/Disney Terminal C is also connected to the Orlando International Airport Intermodal Terminal, AKA the Orlando Brightline station, which provides quick access to the BrightLine inter-city rail, which offers service from the MCO Orlando Station to South Florida destinations including West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Ft Lauderdale, Aventura, and Miami. The station is also linked via bus to the SunRail commuter rail, which currently operates over a 49-mile system with 16 stations through Volusia, Seminole, Orange, and Osceola counties. Brightline train at Orlando Airport The only thing that sticks out as missing to us from Terminal C? The iconic MCO carpet, of course. It simply doesn’t feel like a trip to or from Central Florida without it. The next time you fly in or out of MCO, we suggest using Terminal C. It really is a game-changer, and you will feel like your airport experience is 10x better, simply because this terminal is so incredible! The MCO carpet! MCO’s Terminal C has been a game-changer for the airport closest to Disney World since it opened several years ago. Stay tuned to DFB for more travel tips. Disney just announced that Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will be closed from November 10th through 13th for some BIG updates. EPCOT The ride will be getting enhanced digital visuals, as well as clearer imagery projected in 2D (no more 3D, y’all!). There will also be new props and lightning enhancements in both the queue and on the ride that will be added over the next few months. NEW STUFF, y’all! Disney previously announced similar changes coming to the version of the ride in Disneyland Paris. There, the queue will feature a new scene of a Parisian artist’s studio “teeming with details and accessories such as canvases on the walls, paint splatters, and a fruit basket that may well whet the appetite of all the adorable rats in the neighborhood.” Big changes coming to this ride! The Disneyland Paris ride, though, will be closed a little longer, from now through spring 2026. So be prepared for changes all over the place! ©Disney Okay, is it just us, or does it seem like every time we turn around, something ELSE is closing in Disney World?! Right now, in Magic Kingdom alone, an entire section of the park is closed to make way for a new land, and two rides are closed for big updates. We’ve seen similar closures in both Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. As you can see, Disney is VERY passionate about making sure things are up-to-date and fresh for new fans. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure We’ll certainly be keeping an eye out for more news about the changes being made at Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, so stay tuned to DFB for more. REVIEW: It’s Official. The Disney Cruise Line is in the process of expanding the entire fleet, and it’s left many Disney fans wondering… why? While we love the cruise line, we didn’t see a ton of demand online for more ships! That being said, Disney is moving forward with the new additions. ©Disney The cruise line has expanded quite a bit over the last several years, thanks to the addition of new ships like the Disney Treasure and the upcoming Disney Destiny. The Disney Destiny is making its inaugural sailing in November 2025, and we are one step closer to seeing this major addition hit the open seas. Let’s check out the exciting new update together! Are you ready for the next major addition to the Disney Cruise Line? We know we are! The Disney Destiny is gearing up for her debut moment, and Disney’s latest update just shows the ship is one step closer to just that. On October 15th, the Disney Destiny formally joined the Disney Cruise Line fleet! ©Disney The cruise line hosted a special delivery ceremony in Eemshaven, Netherlands, marking a maritime tradition! It signals the completion of construction and the transfer of ownership from the builder of the ship, Meyer Werft, to the Disney Cruise Line. ©Disney The president of Disney Signature Experiences, Joe Schott, senior vice president and general manager of Disney Cruise Line, Sharon Siskie, and Captain Andy McRonald all “accepted” the ship’s delivery. Andy McRonald will lead the ship on a “transatlantic journey” to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where the ship’s port is located. ©Disney This is a major milestone for the ship, and is a major sign it’s on its way to finally setting sail. The ship is inspired by Disney heroes and villains, and we have been following along with its updates since it was first announced! The new ship will offer 4- and 5-night cruises to The Bahamas and Western Caribbean from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, during its inaugural season, with voyages stopping at one or both of Disney Cruise Line’s destinations — Castaway Cay and the new Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. Disney Cruise Line’s Castaway Cay For Summer 2026 and into 2027, the Destiny will offer 3- to 7-night cruises to The Bahamas as well as the Eastern and Western Caribbean. The Disney Destiny will be a sister ship to the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure, but the heroes and villains theme will be the first of its kind. ©Disney You can expect to see new shows, themes, restaurants, and more around the ship, plus characters from famous Disney and Marvel movies. If you want to check out the new ship but planning feels overwhelming, no worries! Our friends at Small World Vacations have decades of Disney planning! We’re just a wee bit confused about Disney’s latest announcement regarding the Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster’s Muppet transformation. ©Disney I’ve been covering Disney theme parks for over 7 years, and visiting them/tracking news about them for nearly 5x that long, and over that time I’ve seen the company make a lot of announcements. I’ve seen new attractions, refurbishments, ride closures, and even new theme parks announced, with opening timelines. However, I can’t think of another instance that’s quite as befuddling as just what’s happening with the new version of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. First announced in 2024, the Muppet takeover of the Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster will see the iconic characters — who were recently evicted from their longtime Muppet*Vision 3D home by Monsters, Inc. construction — replace Aerosmith as the stars of the music-themed E-Ticket. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Over the course of 2025, Disney released several details about the new coaster, including the fact that music from the Electric Mayhem will appear on the coaster… ©Disney …the iconic exterior guitar will get a new, Muppet-themed paint job… ©Disney …and the ride would be receiving a new preshow. Rock ‘n Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets ©Disney In October, Disney released more details about the preshow, including its use of Audio Animatronics. According to Disney, “Side by side with a dedicated team of penguin audio engineers, Scooter, in his capacity as band manager, will be trying hard to convince the Electric Mayhem to stop laying down tracks so they won’t be late to their own concert. This will be the first time Scooter has ever been imagined as an Audio-Animatronics figure, and I hear he might not be the only Muppet Audio-Animatronics figure joining the attraction… but we’ll have to wait to learn more about that.” While we’re quite excited about Muppet Animatronics, it was another part of the post that caught our eye. See, according to Disney, the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets will be “speeding into Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Summer 2026!” So, why is this confusing? Simply because Disney has previously confirmed that the classic version of the coaster starring the “Bad Boys of Boston” would be in operation through the end of 2025, meaning the coaster won’t be closing until at least January at the earliest. Aerosmith’ With a January closure and a projected summer opening, that means that the Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster’s transformation window will be about 5-6 months. That seems like an awfully short time to transform the ride, even at a minor level. It leads us to think that outside of the soundtrack, preshow, and a few cosmetic changes, the vast majority of the coaster and its theming will remain unchanged. ©Disney Of course, we have no way of confirming just how much of the Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster will change until the Muppets version opens next summer, but the short length of refurbishment time has us doubting it will be much. Disney just announced that changes are coming to one of the most popular rides at Disney World! Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in the France Pavilion Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at EPCOT will close on November 10th, and will reopen with an all-new 2D experience — meaning the 3D glasses will be going away. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will be closed from November 10th to 13th as Disney switches things over to the new 2D system, a change from the current 3D experience. Disney also shared that new props and lighting will be added to the queue and attraction over the coming months. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure Of course, in typical Disney fashion, they haven’t shared what types of props or lighting will be added, or what sort of downtime we might be expecting due to these changes. This was something Disney previously announced was happening at the original Disneyland Paris version of the ride, so it was likely only a matter of time before the changes made their way to EPCOT as well. No more 3D The Disneyland Paris attraction will be receiving technical upgrades, scenic enhancements, new props, an enhanced queue, and more. The enhanced queue will even feature a NEW scene depicting a Parisian artist’s studio, “teeming with details and accessories such as canvases on the walls, paint splatters, and a fruit basket that may well whet the appetite of all the adorable rats in the neighbourhood.” Disney hasn’t indicated this new scene is coming to the EPCOT ride, though. Ride Vehicle We’ll be on the lookout for additional updates about these changes and more. In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news! When we plan our trips to Disney World, we also have to plan how we’re going to get there. That usually means flying. No, not with our own personal wings. In an airplane. (Maybe someday, though, right?) Orlando Sanford International Airport Now, the default airport you probably think of when going to Disney World is Orlando International Airport. But believe it or not, Orlando has another airport, Orlando Sanford International Airport. According to The Orlando Business Journal, a key study has been approved for a new roadway project that would make driving to and from Orlando International Sanford Airport a lot easier. The Central Florida Expressway Authority Board has approved both project development and an environmental study for a two-lane Sanford Airport Connector route between the Concorde and Kensington Reserve Communities that would run from State Road 417 to Red Cleveland Boulevard at the airport. Orlando Sanford International Airport The project comes as the airport continues to grow over the coming years. In 2024, Orlando Sanford International Airport served 2.88 million people. The airport also completed a $65 million expansion in 2021. The airport is expected to have an 87% increase in passenger boarding by 2050, as well as an increase of 400% in air freight tonnage by 2037. Such growth could result in congestion on the main road leading to the airport, Lake Mary Boulevard. Orlando Sanford International Airport Steve Fussell, vice president and chief strategy officer with Orlando Sanford International Airport, said, “The project) directly addresses this congestion by improving access to SFB and the rapidly developing Northeast Seminole County,” Fussell said. “The 417 connector will help manage the traffic impact of 5,000 to 10,000 new homes on East Lake Mary Boulevard.” Orlando Sanford International Airport The next step for the project is the design phase, as well as acquiring right-of-way permission from property owners. At the moment, no timeline has been set for this step. If all goes according to plan, though, this could be a game-changer for people flying to Disney World. Walt Disney World is the “Most Magical Place on Earth.” A destination that has made lifelong memories for millions of visitors over the last 50+ years, and has come to define the American vacation experience. However, that doesn’t mean it’s perfect. Happily Ever After I’ve been visiting Disney World for over 30 years, and over that time, I — and the rest of our DFB team — have become quite familiar with some of the more annoying parts of a visit to the resort. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. Ride Lines When it comes to “annoying” things at Disney World, wait times and long lines are likely to be the most popular answer from the vast majority of guests. It doesn’t matter HOW cool the ride you’re getting in line for is. There’s just something about waiting in a 60, 90, 120+ minute line that makes even the best Disney World rides grumble-worthy. In fact, a long wait can even “ruin” a ride for someone. Standby queue at TRON There are some ways to avoid lines at the resort’s four theme parks. First off, of course, is Disney’s premium skip-the-ride-line service. Lightning Lanes. You get to PAY to skip over the main queues for many rides in exchange for much shorter queues. Slinky Dog Dash Lightning Lane However, the downside of Lightning Lanes is that they do get expensive. So here are a couple of other options that won’t cost you an extra dime: Going to the parks for rope drop or Early Theme Park Entry (aka: the 30-minute headstart given to all Disney hotel guests) can help you skip over the bulk of a line at least ONE of your priority rides without paying anything extra for it. End of the night/during one of the fireworks spectaculars can also be a key time to find lower ride wait times at no extra charge. Single Rider lines might break up your group temporarily, BUT they are a THIRD line option for select Disney World rides that could very well STILL help you skip over the bulk of the main queue, minus the Lightning Lane price. Single Rider That said, if you’re willing and able to pay extra for little-to-no waits park-wide, and you want some options other than Multi Pass and Lightning Lanes, then you may wanna consider investing in one of Disney’s After Hours Events/Holiday Parties – which are separate ticketed events that happened on select evenings AFTER the parks close to give you exclusive entertainment AND a limited guest capacity- meaning back-to-back Disney rides for YOU. Magic Kingdom at night during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Now, if you’re staying at a Deluxe Tier resort, you can get EXTENDED EVENING HOURS for select parks on select nights. This will give you TWO EXTRA HOURS in the parks PAST closing time (no extra ticket purchase necessary, though you WILL still need a valid park admission for the day). Getting In and Out of the Magic Kingdom Getting to EPCOT? Buses, Monorail, Skyliner, and boats. Easy. Monorail at EPCOT Getting to Hollywood Studios? Pretty much just as easy, minus the Monorail. Skyliner Getting to Animal Kingdom? You’ve got fewer complimentary travel options to choose from, but still pretty straightforward. Disney Bus Getting to Magic Kingdom? Now THAT’S a horse of a different color for many guests. Let’s begin with non-Disney Transportation. When you drive to Magic Kingdom and take a non-Disney rideshare (like an Uber or Lyft), or use a hotel bus that comes from a non-Disney owned hotel, you’re not gonna be park/be dropped off outside the Magic Kingdom front gate. Rather, you’re gonna have to start your venture at this central hub at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC). From the TTC, you can decide whether you wanna ride the monorail, take the ferry, or even walk the rest of the way to Magic Kingdom. Monorail entrance at the Ticket and Transportation Center (TTC) Transportation times from the TTC and to the Magic Kingdom vary depending on the crowds, so – as a good rule of thumb – just be sure to factor in extra travel time on Magic Kingdom mornings, since it’ll take you longer to reach the park than you might realize. The ferry boat at Magic Kingdom Now, there are several ways to be dropped off directly at the gates of the Magic Kingdom, bypassing the TTC entirely. These include: Taking a Disney resort bus, Staying at one of the Magic Kingdom resorts and you can easily travel over by monorail, by boat, or on foot: the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the Polynesian Village, and the Contemporary Resort. Booking a Minnie Van (AKA Disney’s own rideshare service that you can book directly through the Lyft App. Minnie Vans tend to be a little more costly than regular rideshares, but they’ll pick you up near the Magic Kingdom buses, AND you won’t have to deal with all the transportation crowds whatsoever. So the extra expense might be worth it to avoid the headache. Minnie Van And you think it’s bad GETTING to Magic Kingdom? Just wait until you have to LEAVE it. Right after Happily Ever After shoots off its last firework over Cinderella Castle and every BURSTS into thunderous applause, it becomes a WHIRLWIND of hustling/bustling energy towards the exit IMMEDIATELY after. So bus lines, monorail lines, and boat lines get EXTREMELY packed out with not just THOUSANDS of guests, but thousands of CRANKY guests who’ve just spent 10+ hours in the park, in the heat, racking up tens of thousands of steps. Crowds waiting to watch ‘Happily Ever After’ Keep in mind that Magic Kingdom transportation at the beginning and end of the day is NO JOKE. And that’s for both the TTC transportation AND the resort bus transportation, as well. So again — factor that extra transportation time into your schedule, but also don’t be afraid to hang back in Magic Kingdom just a bit longer AFTER the park officially closes. While the rides and attractions won’t be taking any more guests, the Main Street, U.S.A. shops will stay open for an extra 30 minutes or so — meaning you can wait for the thick of the crowds to get on the buses, boats, and monorails while you bypass the time chilling in the park near Cinderella Castle and making some last-minute purchases. Shoe Issues There are a few more important things to pack for a Disney World trip than a good pair of shoes. Without solid foot support, your vacation is going to fall apart quickly. We love the cushion! Speaking of falling apart, a true nightmare Disney scenario is what to do if your shoe breaks in the middle of your theme park day, during, say, trying to make it to your Lightning Lane return window. Having a shoe completely fall apart on ya like this is typically a sandal offense. A reliable pair of tennis shoes usually won’t strike you with the same sort of problems (though sneakers have their own issues, including rubbing heels the wrong way, or having the sole start to come apart, or getting soaked and STAYING soaked after a rainstorm so that your feet prune up and stay pruned for hours. Our favorite pair of shoes after thousands of hours and miles of testing in the parks are HOKAs. These are so comfortable, bouncy, and reliable. Hoka Women’s Clifton 10 Sneakers See our Favorite Shoes for Disney World here Generally, we would recommend having an EXTRA pair of shoes handy, either at your hotel or even in your park bag. You can also store an emergency pair of shoes inside the front-of-park lockers, if you’d like. (You’ll just have to pay a little extra to secure that locker rental – which is usually around $10 per day for the standard size). Lockers in EPCOT Now, you might not WANT to spend $10 to store an extra pair of shoes that you don’t wind up using, but it’s almost like the umbrella theory here. If you bring the umbrella, it’s gonna be nice and sunny. If you don’t bring it, THAT’S when it’s gonna start pouring. Not to mention, if you DO need an emergency pair of shoes ASAP, you’re probably not gonna want to spend money on the ones the parks might have available in those flagship gift shops. Because if you DO find shoes there, you’re more than likely gonna have to pay $30-$60+ for a pair. It might not be an IDEAL solution, BUT if you had a trusty tube of shoe glue in your park bag to patch up sandal straps, tennis shoe soles, etc., that’s a really INEXPENSIVE way to create a temporary solution when you don’t have the time to figure out something more lasting. Or, if you hate wet shoes and are traveling during the rainy season, we suggest shoe covers! Did we just find the ULTIMATE rainy day solution? Yes, they look a little funky, but we promise they work! VIEW ON AMAZON Paying For A Restaurant You Didn’t Wind Up Eating At Anyone who’s been to Disney World in the last couple of decades knows that booking Advance Dining Reservations is advance is a necessity. However, plans and appetites can change, and sometimes, the restaurant you booked 60 days out isn’t the restaurant you still want to eat at during your park day. Sci-Fi Dine-In Theatre Restaurant And Disney’s okay with you changing your mind… if you give them enough time. If you want to cancel/modify a dining reservation, most Disney World restaurants will let you do that with no strings attached, just as long as you do so up to two hours before your original reservation time. But once you’re two hours out, if you don’t cancel your reservation, you’re gonna be charged with a no-show fee. Most of the time, these no-show fees will be $10 per person. However, for select restaurants — including the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Review at Fort Wilderness, Victoria and Albert’s at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, and Monsieur Paul/Takumi Tei at EPCOT — cancellation fees work differently, and will require you to not only make those cancellations EARLIER than 2 hours out, but will also charge you WAY MORE if you wind up ghosting them. (You may even have to pay the FULL PRICE of the meal itself, depending on the restaurant. Be sure to read up on the cancellation policies for the restaurant you’re planning on booking BEFORE you actually book — just in case the policy works differently than you’re expecting it to.) Hassun at Takumi Tei And THEN there are places like Cinderella’s Royal Table in Magic Kingdom – which still abide by the 2-hour cancellation policy, but do NOT abide by the $10 per person cancellation fee. You’ll be charged the full price of the meal. Cinderella’s Royal Table To cancel your reservation on time, open your My Disney Experience app, find the reservation, and select the “cancel” button. IF you do accidentally miss that 2-hour window? You’ll be given a number to call to proceed with a late cancellation… BUT that doesn’t mean you’re not gonna forfeit the no-show fee if you call to cancel with 30 minutes to spare. The Garlic Bread at Tony’s Town Square The best advice we can offer: If you have to make any sort of last-minute dining cancellations, swing by the host stand of the restaurant you’re trying to make the cancellation for and explain what’s going on. Again, this might not free you of those no-show fees, but, depending on the situation, the restaurant MIGHT be able to waive them for you. It always helps to talk to a real person when things go awry instead of fully relying on technology to sort things out for you. Getting Off At The WRONG Bus Stop At A Resort With An Internal Bus Loop While some Disney resorts have just ONE bus stop area that you need to worry about, others are more like a college campus set up with MULTIPLE buildings and MULTIPLE places to potentially be picked up and dropped off. This is the case for resorts like Animal Kingdom Lodge, Coronado Springs, Port Orleans Riverside, Saratoga Springs, Fort Wilderness, Old Key West, and Caribbean Beach. Now, if these giant resorts didn’t have multiple bus stops, guests would be exhausted from all the walking by the end of their vacation. However, more bus stops around the hotel loop means whatever hotel room you get placed in is at least gonna be close to one of them. Coronado Springs But bus loops not only take a while to make their whole circle around the resort to pick up guests from each stop, but they can also be confusing if you forget which stop you need to get off at. Many a time we’ve accidentally gotten off at the wrong stop and found ourselves on the FAR OPPOSITE SIDE of the resort from where we needed to be. Before you get served a slice of this humble pie yourself, be sure to pay close attention to WHERE you’re being picked up at the start of your day. Take a picture of the stop number, too, if need be, much like you would if you need to remember where you’ve parked. Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort That said, if you do accidentally get off at the wrong stop, there are a few options for you: You can always stay where you are and wait for the next Disney bus to come pick you up and carry you the rest of the way to where you actually need to go, but this could take a while. If you think you’re capable, you can also make the trek across the resort on foot. Just look for the signs around the property that’ll point you in the right direction, and don’t be afraid to flag down a cast member and ask for their guidance, if need be. Traveling With Someone Who Doesn’t GET It From our experience, there are three types of people visiting Disney World: There are the Disney Adults. There are people who appreciate Disney, but really don’t need to go ALL the time. Then there are the people who just don’t get it. Which is completely fair: We’re not all gonna have the same interests in life, and that’s fine. Spaceship Earth However, when a Disney Adult travels to their “happy place” with someone who’s not impressed by what they’re seeing, it can really deflate the whole vacation mood. Again, people are gonna have different opinions on things, and that’s okay, but that feeling of hyping something up for so long, only to have someone crush the way you feel about it in just one sentence, can be absolutely vexing. IF you ARE in a position where you HAVE to travel with someone who’s stuck in the mindset that Disney’s gonna be miserable and just for kids: Remember that it’s OKAY to split up and do your own thing and then regroup with everyone later on. There are plenty of things to do ON Disney property that even non-Disney-folks can enjoy (like golf, nightlife at Disney Springs, lounges like GEO-82, exploring EPCOT’s World Showcase, and even lounging in a hammock back at one of the resorts). Caramelized Leek Martini It might take a little extra planning, but the payoff could mean finding the middle ground between the Disney fan and the non-Disney fan without having to yuck anyone’s yum. Driving In Orlando, Period. It’s nice to have your own car on vacation, or at least to have a rental car handy, so you never have to wait on a Disney bus to get you to where you need to go, and you don’t have to keep paying for rideshares. Plus, you can exit the Disney bubble any time you want to explore DIFFERENT areas around Orlando. However, that means you actually have to drive in Orlando. And that’s… well… it can be a bit overwhelming. Disney World Entrance If you’re about to do some driving around Disney World AND Orlando, here are some of the BEST pieces of advice to help ease the travel pain (if only just a smidge): Always leave EARLIER than you think you need to. Even if your GPS is telling you you’ll reach your destination in 30 minutes, you’ll wanna leave 60 minutes before you have to be somewhere (if not even earlier than THAT) just to give yourself some buffer time, if you happen to get caught in stalled traffic. Double-check where your GPS is leading you. Sometimes, programs like Waze and Google Maps might be leading you towards the right direction, but the wrong area. For example, if you type in “Magic Kingdom,” there’s a CHANCE your GPS might start directing you STRAIGHT into the park — or in the off-limits, cast members only areas — instead of towards the TTC parking lot. So before you head out and blindly trust technology to lead you where you need to go, double-check and redirect if need be. Driving to Disney World could be less expensive! A Blocked Show View Picture this: You stake out a great spot to watch Magic Kingdom’s nighttime spectacular, Happily Ever After – one where you can clearly see Cinderella Castle in all her glory. Then, right before the show begins, someone shows up wearing the biggest Sorcerers Mickey novelty hat you’ve ever seen in your life. They’re well within their right, but it’s still a bummer. Crowds waiting to watch ‘Happily Ever After’ The trouble with the nighttime spectaculars at Magic Kingdom versus EPCOT or Hollywood Studios is that clear visibility of the full show (as in seeing ALL the castle projections along with the fireworks) isn’t always guaranteed. And what could make matters even worse is if you get behind someone who’s just flat-out blocking everything by holding up their phone way up high to record the show the entire time, or hoisting a kid up on their shoulders, or wearing that blasted Sorcerer Mickey hat. Now, before we get all in a tizzy about this, we gotta take a deep breath and see the other side of things for a minute: If you paid a lot of money for your kid to be at Magic Kingdom — and you want to make sure they can see EVERYTHING — then, yeah, the temptation to hold them higher up so they can see Tinkerbell flying across the night sky is legitimate. Also, perhaps the person recording the entire show is, like, FaceTiming their grandparents back home so they can experience it too — then, again, the temptation to hold the camera or iPad WAY high in the air in front of others can be very, very real. And, y’know, we gotta at least give props to Sorcerer Mickey guy for getting in the Disney spirit and all, I suppose. Cast Members But now, let’s flip the script. Everyone behind these people has also paid a lot of money to be here, and ALSO wanna see the show, and it’s hard to see the show when there’s a clear obstruction blocking your view. So what to do? Well… If you’re planning on recording this show — for whatever reason you might have — or if you know the younger folks in your party are gonna struggle to see against the THOUSANDS of other guests packed into Main Street USA, then try to stake out a spot closer to the front of the castle at LEAST 45-60 minutes before the show starts. That way, you automatically have a clearer view and angle for yourself. From there, you can lift up your phone or your kiddo to the height of your own head instead of hoisting either of them well above you. That way, you won’t be blocking guests too much more than what you would’ve already been accomplishing while standing there like a law-abiding citizen. And if YOU’RE the one wearing the sorcerer Mickey hat… we love it. Promise. Just… take it off for now. You can try to grab a spot early If you don’t wanna deal with the possibility of your Magic Kingdom show being blocked whatsoever, you may also wanna consider investing in one of the Happily Ever After Dessert Parties, which’ll give you a GUARANTEED view of the show plus UNLIMITED desserts, drinks, and other snacks to enjoy either before, during, or after the fireworks take place. The Fireworks Dessert Pre-Party takes place at Tomorrowland Terrace and will give you your spread of desserts BEFORE the show. Tomorrowland Terrace Then, when it’s show time, you’ll be led to a VIP, roped-off standing area, reserved for Dessert Party Guests ONLY, over at the Plaza Garden. The Post-Party offering is basically the same thing (only you’ll get your dessert spread AFTER Happily Ever After instead of BEFORE). The Seats and Sweets Dessert Party option is a little pricier than the other two, but THAT’S because you’ll be able to SIT in Tomorrowland Terrace AND enjoy desserts DURING the performance. You can book a fireworks dessert party just like you would a regular table service, 60 days before your visit. ©Disney WEATHER Given Walt Disney World’s location in the subtropical Central Florida climate, weather is always going to be an issue when visiting the resort. There’s a good chance that you’ll at least have one rainy Orlando day during your vacation (ESPECIALLY if you’re visiting during hurricane season — which starts up at the beginning of June and lasts until the end of November), so here are a few ways that might help you “weather out” the worst of it: Pack Rain Gear, Just In Case: Remember that “umbrella theory” we talked about earlier? While bringing an umbrella isn’t gonna be the surefire thing keeping the stormy clouds at bay, it’s always best to come prepared so that you can keep going even when the storm rages on. Beyond your umbrella, it’s like ponchos, quick-dry athletic wear, and shoe covers are also smart to pack. Frogg Toggs Poncho Get Our Favorite Poncho for Disney World Here Consider Magic Kingdom As Your Rainy Day Option: This is kind of a random suggestion, but if the weather is TRULY saying that it’s not gonna let up — and you don’t really have any wiggle room days to fit into your trip to wait things out — maybe choose Magic Kingdom as your main park that day. Why Magic Kingdom? Because it’s got a LOT of indoor rides, shows, attractions, connecting indoor shops down Main Street, U.S.A., and restaurants where you can bide your time INDOORS. It’s also close to THREE deluxe resorts (along the monorail line) that you can ALSO escape to, if need be. Plus, if the rain is just sort of drizzly and gloomy but nothing major, you might have the chance to see Magic Kingdom’s Rainy Day Cavalcade, the park’s default option for Festival of Fantasy when it’s getting too yucky out for those parade floats and characters. Magic Kingdom Check the forecast before you do ANYTHING: If you download a Minute-By-Minute Weather App (like AccuWeather), you’ll have quick access to up-to-date weather information, meaning you can plan AROUND the storms and hit up any outdoor attractions a few hours BEFORE they roll in. Rainy day at Animal Kingdom While all of these annoyances may pop up on a Disney World trip, each and every one can be planned for and avoided to ensure a trip to the “Most Magical Place on Earth is just that. These ultimate Disney fan events come with news, behind-the-scenes looks, and more! Those conventions aren’t the only ones where you can expect big theme park news, though. Right now, we’re getting ready for another big theme park event with even more news coming next month! If you’re a theme park nerd like we are, you have come to the right place! It’s almost time for the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) Expo. A LOT is happening in Disney World right now with new lands, updated rides, expansions, and MORE all underway — at the same time. It’s enough to make us DIZZY. We need to sit down. How about we take a seat in the NEW Tree of Life theater for the upcoming Zootopia show in Animal Kingdom? ©Disney In Disney’s Animal Kingdom, a new land is being constructed that will replace Dinoland, U.S.A. But that’s not the only new thing coming to Animal Kingdom. A new show is set to premiere in the Tree of Life SOON, Zootopia: Better Zoogether, and Disney just dropped a new poster, seemingly teasing some of the characters you’ll see during the show. Disney has previously announced that Zootopia: Better Zoogether will feature a lot of your favorite Zootopia characters, including Judy Hoppes, Nick Wilde, and Gazelle. It will also include a brand new animatronic of Clawhouser (and it looks incredible, y’all). Some new characters will also be introduced, including Heidi Howler, the host of the Zoogether Day LIVE! broadcast. ©Disney Well, a NEW poster shows off even more characters that you’ll see during the show — can you spot them all? This show is looking to be HUGE! We’re also so excited to see our favorite sloth, Flash, in the poster. Here’s to hoping he gets a hilarious cameo in the show. ©Disney The 4D show begins when you arrive at the main stage in time for the big Zoogether Day festivities. Disney describes it like this: “Zoogether Day, a celebration of unity amongst the diverse biomes across the city.” Look out for special performances, such as ice-skating spectaculars from the heart of Tundratown… ©Disney …synchronized swimming direct from Marsh Market… ©Disney …tiny mouse drone shows soaring over Little Rodentia… ©Disney …and of course, a musical finale by superstar Gazelle – which we’ll see from the livestream watch party in Animal Kingdom. How FUN! Zootopia: Better Zoogether concept art Clawhouser will be decked out for the event with glow jewelry and his favorite Gazelle t-shirt. Yep, we’re obsessed. Now THAT is a sweet outfit. ©Disney Zootopia: Better Zoogether opens on November 7th, but Annual Passholder Previews will be held on November 5th and 6th ahead of the attraction’s official opening. We’ll be checking out the attraction ourselves, so be sure to stay tuned to DFB for more. 5 Cringey Things That Make Me Rethink Walking Into Animal Kingdom Ever Again Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! If you’ve read even a few posts here on Disney Parks Blog, you’ve been subjected to our puns long enough to know we’re fans of all things cheesy. Our team will always brie ready to take on Emile’s Fromage Montage as soon as the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival starts each year. And this year, there are three sweet cheesecakes alongside the five savory cheese choices. Since each dish offers a unique tasting experience, Laura and I hit the cheesy trail with Ally and Katie of the Disney Eats team. Grab your festival passports and come with us as we reveal tastes, textures, and our picks for drink pairings to help guide your visit. Ally and Katie from Disney Eats with Laura and Rain from Disney Parks Blog; ready to find our next cheese stop How the Fromage Montage Works In 2025, Emile’s Fromage Montage showcases eight different cheeses at the fest, with the goal of tasting at least five to acquire a complimentary cheese-inspired dessert. At each designated location, you’ll receive a stamp on the back page of your festival passport. Collect any five stamps and a surprise treat will be waiting for you at Shimmering Sips Global Marketplace. Tip: Have a favorite cheese? Your festival passport is stamped for each purchase, which doesn’t have to be all different cheeses. Go ahead and repeat your favorites and get stamped each time! Cheese flavors and textures vary widely, from creamy and mild to sharp and crumbly. To help set your expectations (and maybe in the spirit of Muppet Labs), we’ve included a cheese-o-meter to display our impressions of the smell and taste of each cheesy dish, ranging from one wedge for a mild cheese taste, and five wedges to indicate the most robust aromas and flavors. Warm Raclette Swiss Cheese You can order the raclette with or without ham, and both variations come with baby potatoes, cornichons, and a sliced baguette. Find it Here: The Alps Global Marketplace Cheese Potency Level: – A strong aroma and bold flavor This is a favorite of mine every year. The combo of the soft potatoes and the tanginess of the cornichon go great with the crispy bread to dip in the cheese. There’s so much happening on this plate, you might want to share to save room for the rest of the fest. Laura said of this pungent selection, “This is a great dish for someone who would like a strong cheese; it’s a robust flavor that I think is great for going into the fall season.” Our Suggested Pairing New to the fest this year, the Stiegl Brewery Goldbräu Austrian Märzen Lager (also available at Alps Marketplace) was a bright, well-rounded brew that balanced out the hearty nature of the raclette dish. Schinkennudeln Regularly seen at Food and Wine, “schinkennudeln” translates to “ham noodles,” and here it comes aswith a slice of pasta gratin with ham, onions, and cheese. Find it Here: Germany Global Marketplace Cheese Potency Level: – Smooth, creamy goodness Laura noted how this one is a selection for the whole family, “You look at this cheesy goodness and know you’re in for a good time. This one is very mac and cheese-adjacent, so kids are likely to love it.” Our Suggested Pairing We sampled the beer flight here in Germany to narrow down your best bet. Katie nailed down the winner to pair with our Fromage Montage dish, “The Von Trapp Brewing Oktoberfest Mãrzen Märzen-Style Lager maltiness and nuttiness complements the smooth Schinkennudeln.” Basque Cheesecake New to the festival this year, this cake is served with orange sauce and slices. Find it Here: Spain Global Marketplace Cheese Potency Level: - Very light and creamy Fans of caramelized, rich cheesecake should be sure to make this one of their cheese stroll stops. Laura loved the accompaniments, “The marmalade on top is so nice and refreshing, this is a hearty yet not-too-sweet dessert that you can enjoy even on a warm day.” And Ally had some advice for crafting your palate, “Definitely try to cut up a little bit of orange and scoop up that marmalade with every custard-like bite.” Our Suggested Pairing One sip and we’re encouraging you to get the Summer in Spain cocktail to go with the cheesecake. This drink features frozen Simply Lemonade with Yellow Chartreuse Liqueur and Green Chartreuse Liqueur. The herbal notes in the liqueur balance out with the citrus zing. Katie advised that these flavors play really well with the deep caramelized custard-style cream of the cheesecake. Honorable Mention Looking for something a little more savory in this area of World Showcase? Just a few steps away, the Tortellini alla Vodka features four cheeses with Calabrian chili oil. It’s not an official Emile pick for the Fromage Montage, but it’s worthy of a taste. Griddled Cheese A slice of warm cheese on a plate? Some would say this item is an ultimate representation of the cheese stroll. This fan-favorite is covered with pistachios and honey. Find it Here: Greece Global Marketplace Cheese Potency Level: - Rich and indulgent Aly enjoyed how the crunch of the pistachios juxtaposed the full-bodied flavor of the cheese. Katie said of the dueling flavors, “There is such a nice blend of the saltiness of the cheese and pistachios and sweetness of the honey. It all works really well together.” Our Suggested Pairing For a great contrast to the nutty and salty flavors of the griddled cheese from Greece, try the Greek Melon Limeade. You’ll get a blend of Kleos Mastiha Spirit, Artonic Melon Apéritif, Pearl Vodka, and lime sour mix. Each sip is tangy and bright, the perfect offset for each crunchy, thick bite of your cheesy slice. Pão de Queijo This Brazilian cheese bread comes in a trio of soft bites. Find it Here: Brazil Global Marketplace Cheese Potency Level: - The perfect cheese and bread infusion With soft flavors embedded into the bread, these chewy bites deliver a subtle cheese treat that are easy to snack on as you traverse World Showcase. Ally said between bites, “These are soft, thick bites that offer a good variation on the cheese format as you’re working your way through the cheese stroll. The outside is nice and crisp, with a warm pull-apart dough in the middle.” Our Suggested Pairing Here at Brazil, grab the Frozen Caipirinha with Cachaça Spirit to turn up the dial on tangy flavors alongside the cheese bread. Katie said, “Compared to the light, bready Pão de Queijo, the caipirinha delivers a strong, fruity kick.” Pineapple Cheesecake This fun shaped cake is served with passion fruit curd and macadamia nuts. Find it Here: Hawai’i Global Marketplace at the front of World Showcase. Cheese Potency Level: – Gentle and sweet At the beginning of our Fromage Montage journey, Ally had raved about the adorable pineapple presentation of this treat, and it didn’t disappoint; “It’s the cutest lil thing,” she added when we collected our plate. Sitting atop a drizzle of passionfruit, the pineapple cake lived up to the hype. With each bite, fruity undertones met with the cheesecake flavor to create a pleasant dessert with just the right amount of sweetness. There is no crust on this cheesecake — instead you’ll get a great crunch from the macadamia nuts. Our Suggested Pairing We paired our cutie cheesecake with the O’ahu Sunrise. This drink brings the Hawaii vibes, with vodka, DOLE Pineapple Juice, and grenadine, topped with a decorative (and edible) flower. This pairing created the ultimate pineapple experience we were looking for. Or Try This Katie, our Disney Eats recipe tester who is always contemplating new flavors, had another suggestion, “This is a refreshing combo, but this would also be really good with the Maui Brewing Co. Orange Mango Guava Hazy IPA. I’d love to try that hoppy flavor with the sweetness of the cake.” Pumpkin-Mascarpone Ravioli This ravioli features a brown butter vinaigrette, pecorino cheese, pomegranate seeds, and hazelnut praline. Find it Here: Forest & Field Global Marketplace via the walkway between World Showcase and the Imagination! Pavilion Cheese Potency Level: – Deep, smooth flavors; lots of texture All said, “With the colorful presentation of the sage and pomegranate seeds, this ravioli dish is perfect for celebrating harvest season. Katie noted that the pumpkin-mascarpone filling with the pecorino cheese created a good blend of salty and sweet. Our Suggested Pairing The red Famille Hugel Classic Pinot Noir at Forest & Field is a soft, fruity wine that doesn’t try to compete with all the flavors happening in the pumpkin-mascarpone ravioli. Famille Hugel suggests pairing this well-balanced wine with cheese, so you’re on the right track to enjoy with the cheese-forward pasta. Fall Fruit Cheesecake This spice cake features Boursin Fig & Balsamic Cheese with pomegranates and candied pecans. Find it Here: Milled & Mulled Global Marketplace on the Walkway between World Showcase and the Imagination! Pavilion Cheese Potency Level: – Complimentary to the fruit and spice A lover of all things spice cake, this is the one I was excited about. This cheesecake featured a rich, autumnal presentation and flavors that balanced creamy sweetness with warm, fragrant undertones. Our group agreed that if you’re looking for an ultimate fall treat, this cheesecake checks all the boxes. Katie said, “The fig adds a subtle fruitiness that perfectly complements the spiced base, making each bite indulgent yet nuanced.” More Spice Cake Please: If you’re like me, you can’t get enough of autumnal cake flavors. If you like the Fall Fruit Cheesecake, try the Freshly Baked Carrot Cake with walnuts and cream cheese icing, also available here at Milled & Mulled. Our Suggested Pairing Katie suggested the Keel Farms Maple Harvest Hard Cider (new to the fest this year) and she was right, “The maple from the cider works really well with the warm, earthy flavors in the spice cake.” Emile’s Fromage Montage Prize You’ve earned it! A sweet key lime and cheesecake frozen blend, topped with cookie crumbs in a souvenir cup. Just show your festival passport with the five completed stamps to the cast member at the redemption window at Shimmering Sips to claim your victory and proclaim yourself well-versed in all things cheese. Ally covered it when she said, “This is a key lime cheesecake in a cup!” It is a treat large enough to share with your cheese-loving group, and don’t forget to take your cup home for bragging rights until you cross paths with Emile’s Fromage Montage again next year. Find Even More Cheese This Season at EPCOT Emilie’s Fromage Montage is just one way to kick off your cheese celebration at the 2025 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. Even after you’ve made your way through Emile’s picks, be sure to check your festival passport and our 2025 EPCOT Food & Wine Foodie Guide for even more dairy delights. To get you started, here are a few more of our favorite cheesy plates not found on the stroll include: Three cheese filling In France: The Brioche aux Epices Avec Une Garniture Mornay de Trois Fromages – Spiced brioche with a three-cheese mornay filling Blue cheese at Gyozas of the Galaxy: Buffalo-style Dumplings: Chicken dumplings with buffalo sauce, celery root purée, blue cheese cream, crumbled blue cheese, shaved carrot, and micro celery Beer Cheese at Flavors from Fire: Smoked Corned Beef with house-made potato chips, cheese curds, pickled onions, and beer cheese fondue The cheese stroll covers a lot of ground at EPCOT, so while you’re having a gouda time, be sure to explore all the fun at the 2025 Food and Wine Festival. In queso you need a place to sit and enjoy your cheese, check out the new Harvest Hollow playground near Milled & Mulled and don’t forget to check out the full Eat to the Beat Concert Series lineup to see when you can dip a spoon into that key lime cheesecake prize while watching the likes of Hanson or The Beach Boys. Universal Orlando is testing something new! Universal Orlando Signs for Express Pass “Single Attraction Access” popped up at a few attractions around Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure on October 16th, advising parkgoers that they can skip the line at certain attractions with a one-time use Express Pass at that attraction only. We looked in the Universal Orlando app and sure enough, the information was listed right there too. Currently, this Single Attraction Access Express Pass costs $25 per ride and is available at Revenge of the Mummy… ©Universal …and Skull Island: Reign of Kong. It’s noted in the app that the “offers sell out fast” and that they’re only available for a limited time. It also looks like you can only select one “offer,” or ride, at a time. ©Universal In the past, Universal’s Express Pass was something that was purchased park-wide, meaning when you purchased it, you could use it on all attractions (save for a select few). This new option gives people the chance to skip the line at just one attraction at a much lower price than paying for the Express Pass for the whole park. Universal Orlando offers two variants of the Express Pass for their main theme parks, each of which is variably priced based on seasonal crowd levels. The Universal Express pass allows guests to “skip the lines” one time per participating ride and starts at $119.99 per person. There’s also the Universal Express Unlimited option, which is more expensive but allows unlimited skips of the line at participating rides. Revenge of the Mummy We’ll be on the lookout for additional updates about this new change and whether or not it continues to be implemented at other attractions around the parks. In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Universal and theme park news! 9 NEW Details Revealed for Universal Texas Theme Park Would you buy a Single Attraction Access Express Pass at Universal Orlando?
