  2. Okay, we’ve all visited Disney World and had that moment where we wished we’d had a certain item handy, but didn’t. The Rapunzel Owala The good news is that we’ve been to Disney World so much that we know EXACTLY what you need to escape that feeling. We know what essentials you’ll need for your park bag, as well as essentials you’ll need to pack for your hotel room. So we’ve put together the ultimate list of everything you’ll need for your 2026 Disney World trip. The FuelRod Portable Charging Kit FuelRods are a MUST You are going to be on your phone a lot in Disney World, so you’ll need a fast, convenient way to keep it charged. We love FuelRod because we just bring this kit, charge our phone, swap out FuelRods at FuelRod stations throughout Disney World, and keep on going. You can even switch it out at some airports, which is so nice! The kit also comes with all the cables and adapters you need to charge all your devices. View on Amazon The Touchland Disney Hand Sanitizer and Mist Case Touchland and Disney Special Edition Hand Sanitizer + Mist Case We think hand sanitizer is one of those non-negotiables in the parks. And Touchland happens to have our fave. Okay, you might not THINK you need this, but we love how long this hand sanitizer lasts, so you get your money’s worth. The case is reusable, so you can just keep adding more hand sanitizer to it, as needed. View on Amazon Get the FROGG TOGGS Ultra Lite Poncho Frogg Toggs Poncho Y’all know we keep singing the praises of this poncho. That’s because there’s a 99 percent chance that it will rain on any given day in Disney World, and this poncho helps us stay dry without being so heavy that it makes us sweat underneath. You know that cling wrap feeling you get with some ponchos? This one doesn’t have it! We also love that it comes in its own bag, so you can tuck it back into that bag when you’re done, and you don’t have to worry about everything else you own getting wet. View on Amazon The MagicBand+ Multi Charger MultiCharger for MagicBand+ Remember the days when you didn’t have to charge your MagicBand? Well, they’re over now that we’re all wearing MagicBand+. You’ll want to charge it every evening, but if you’ve got multiple people in your hotel room, ALL those MagicBands will need charging. ©Amazon This baby is a LIFESAVER because you can plug multiple MagicBands into it at once. View on Amazon Hoka 10 Clifton Sneakers We love the cushion! You are going to need a reliable pair of tennis shoes in the parks. We have put these shoes to the test in the parks MANY times, and they always pass the test with flying colors. We’ve walked for MILES in them and our feet stay comfy. These shoes are what we refer to as our “old reliables” and for good reason. View on Amazon A Disney Autograph Book with a Pen ©Amazon Don’t wait to get to Disney World before you buy an autograph book. Trust us…you’ll end up paying more than this autograph book on Amazon that comes with a pen. And that’s one less thing you have to hunt down on your trip if you want to get characters’ autographs. This makes it so easy for your littles to get all the signatures they want in one place! View on Amazon A Mouse Ear Holder For Backpack Ear Holder You often have to take your mouse ears off, especially for rides, but don’t just shove them into your backpack. This can damage them, and it’s a hassle to get them back out. This super handy ear holder attaches to your bag so you can just quickly attach your ears for safekeeping and then unattach them when you’re ready to wear them again. View on Amazon Silicone Waterproof Shoe Covers Silicone Waterproof Shoe Covers Remember how we said it will probably rain on your Disney World trip? Well, when it does, do you really want to walk around with wet shoes and socks all day long? You don’t have to. Yeah, these shoe covers aren’t exactly fashion-forward, but they’ll keep your feet dry during those random rainstorms. Trust us, they will save your day. View on Amazon Get the Dreamegg Portable White Noise Machine ©Amazon This little baby might not look like much, but it could be the key to you getting good sleep in Disney World. It’s always hard to sleep in a bed that isn’t your own, but a little white noise could be just what you need to doze off. It’s great for those mid-afternoon naps, too. It’s also so small that it won’t take up much space in your luggage. It also has a variety of sounds and volumes. It also charges via USB, which is convenient. View on Amazon A Handheld Portable Mini Fan JISULIFE Handheld Mini Fan If you’re visiting Disney World when it’s hot, you’re going to want every trick in the book to help you stay feeling cool. Don’t let this tiny fan fool you — it has enough cooling power to make a real difference on those REALLY hot days. Even better, it doubles as a charger and a flashlight. View on Amazon The Owala Disney Princess Water Bottle We love our Owala water bottle! We’ll also tell you that staying hydrated, no matter the weather, is important in Disney World. We highly recommend bringing your own water bottle because there are TONS of water bottle refill stations throughout Disney World where you can refill it. Why pay for expensive bottled water if you don’t have to? Owala is one of our faves, especially the Disney Princess-themed bottles. 3. Seeing as we go to Disney World almost every day and try alllll the newest snacks, drinks, and desserts released in the parks, we’ve tried some — er — interesting things. Do you like pickles? Fun fact about the Disney Food Blog team! We’re pretty divided on pickles. Some of us love ’em, some…not so much. (Hot tip: those pickles in pouches that are sold in the parks are a great source of electrolytes AND are delicious!) But for a lot of us, there’s a limit to our love of the briny snack. Apparently, there’s something called a “Picklewich” at a popular sandwich chain, and lots of people are THRILLED that it’s finally back. We’ll be honest, though. We can’t tell if that sounds like heaven…or reaches our threshold of “too much pickle.” Pickle fans: head over to Jimmy John’s ASAP, because according to Good Morning America, the iconic Picklewich is finally back. It originally debuted last fall and was a big hit. What exactly IS a Picklewich, though? Well, it’s a regular sandwich…except not at all, because the bread has been replaced with hollowed-out pickles. ©Jimmy John’s That’s not all, though, because Jimmy John’s has also revealed that a new pickle ranch is now on the menu, as well as new Pickle Jimmy Chips. If you’re looking to grab yourself one of these unique sandwiches, there are six different varieties to choose from. You can select Vito and Turkey, both of which were previously available, as well as new Ham, Roast Beef, Tuna, or Veggie Picklewiches. ©Jimmy John’s There’s also a new Triple Pickle Meal available. When it comes to pricing, a Picklewich starts at $7.59, Pickle Ranch starts at 69 cents, and the Pickle Jimmy Chips start at $1.99, but prices may vary depending on where you’re located. ©Jimmy John’s Jimmy John’s Rewards members will get early access to the Picklewich during the company’s “Pickle Freak Weekend” from October 24th through 26th, with the items officially debuting on October 27th. We know some members of our team are really looking forward to trying this, while others are planning to stay far away. Regardless, we have a feeling there will be enough demand that Jimmy John’s may be pretty packed over the next week, so keep that in mind if you plan to dine there! ©Jimmy John’s Be sure to stay tuned to DFB for all the latest Disney dining news, as well as interesting snack news like this that we find, because hey, if it catches our eye, we figure it may capture yours, too! 4. Have you ever wanted to spot a celebrity in Disney World? Well, it happens more often than you think! That’s because celebrities LOVE Disney World and visit it often. Neil Patrick Harris, for example, has visited so much that he has his own table at a bar in EPCOT (now, that is GOALS, y’all). Josh Gad is always popping up…and you never know where he’ll pop up next…he’s even turned up as a Cast Member on several rides. ©Cirque du Soleil Well, another celebrity just visited Disney World and even got a chance to take in some quality entertainment in Disney Springs. Johnny Galecki from The Big Bang Theory just stopped by to see Drawn to Life Presented by Cirque du Soleil. Galecki stopped by to take in a show of Drawn to Life, and even stuck around to sign the famous wall backstage at the show. He also spent some time with part of the cast of the show, and got a photo with them! If you’ve never seen the show, you’re missing out. It follows a young girl who discovers an unfinished animation piece and finds inspiration from her Disney childhood memories to animate the story of her future. ©Cirque du Soleil In fact, he got a photo with the entire MASSIVE cast of the show. ©Cirque du Soleil The official Drawn to Life Instagram account thanked the actor for visiting! 5. You might think November is one of the easiest months to visit Disney World—but it’s actually full of traps for the unprepared. Walt Disney World entrance Between new construction projects, seasonal ride closures, and early park shutdowns for party nights, there are a few big mistakes that can completely change your trip if you don’t plan ahead. We’re breaking down what to watch for so you can avoid being that guest standing outside a “Closed for Refurbishment” sign or wondering why Magic Kingdom is closing at 6PM. Let’s get into it! Ignoring All the Construction We’ve entered a full-on construction era at Disney World, and if you’re visiting this November, you’re going to feel it. Magic Kingdom is surrounded by construction walls as work continues on Piston Peak, the new expansion taking shape beyond Frontierland. This project is already spilling into the surrounding areas, which means you’ll be dealing with blocked walkways, rerouted traffic, and some seriously congested pathways near the Rivers of America. Expect tight spaces and some detours, especially near Liberty Square. Walls near the Haunted Mansion in Magic Kingdom Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the transition from DinoLand U.S.A. to the upcoming Tropical Americas land is in full swing. Trilo-Bites and Dino-Bite Snacks have already closed permanently as of October 20th, and this is just the start. By early 2026, both Restaurantosaurus and the DINOSAUR ride will close, which means the entire back corner of the park will be a no-go zone. So if you were planning to grab a snack or escape crowds in that area, you’ll need a new strategy this November. DinoLand construction And don’t forget Disney’s Hollywood Studios—the Muppets Courtyard area is currently fenced off as construction begins on Monster’s Inc. Land. That means limited access between Grand Avenue and the rest of the park. Translation: expect tight walkways and longer detours getting to your favorite snacks at spots like Baseline Tap House. Muppets Courtyard behind walls If you’re visiting this fall, plan your routes carefully and check park maps often. Construction walls aren’t just eyesores—they can change how you move through entire sections of a park. Overlooking Ride Closures It’s easy to assume that all your favorite attractions will be open when you visit in November, but that’s just not the case this year. Several major rides are closed for refurbishment, and if you don’t know about them ahead of time, it’s going to be a real disappointment. Kali River Rapids in Animal Kingdom will remain closed through December 2025 for its annual refurbishment. Normally this happens later in the year, but Disney moved it up to early October, so don’t count on cooling off with a splash this November. Kali River Rapids Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is another big loss. The wildest ride in the wilderness shut down back in January 2025 and won’t reopen until 2026. This long-term refurbishment is tied to future construction that will connect the ride with the new Villains Land expansion, so the entire back area of Frontierland is going to look—and feel—different for quite a while. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Over in Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin is also closed for a huge overhaul. When it reopens in 2026, it’ll feature new ride vehicles, upgraded targets, and an all-new character named Buddy who helps guests get ready for their Star Command mission. The new handheld blasters and interactive targets sound exciting, but for now, the ride is completely shut down. It’s closed! If you’ve got kids who love Toy Story or if Big Thunder is one of your family’s traditions, it’s worth managing expectations before you arrive. Double-check the refurbishment schedule on Disney’s website and make a list of backup rides to hit instead. Forgetting About Party Nights If you don’t have a ticket to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, you’ll want to pay close attention to Magic Kingdom’s calendar in November. The park closes early on party nights—often around 6PM—which can really throw off your day if you were planning to stay for fireworks. Here are the 2025 party dates: November 7th, 10th, 11th, 13th, 14th, 16th, 18th, 20th, 21st, 25th, 26th, 28th, and 30th. (That’s a lot of early closures.) Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Guests without party tickets will be asked to leave in the late afternoon, and the park starts clearing out right as the Christmas magic kicks in. If you want a full Magic Kingdom day without interruptions, your best bet is to go on a non-party date—or buy a party ticket so you can enjoy the event yourself. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party If you’re visiting with a Park Hopper ticket, this could actually work in your favor. You can start your day at Magic Kingdom, then hop to EPCOT or Hollywood Studios once the party crowds roll in. Plan Ahead Now November can be a beautiful time to visit Disney World—cooler weather, lighter crowds in the first half of the month, and the start of the holiday season. But between construction walls, closed rides, and party nights, you’ll need to plan with extra care this year. Check your park days against party schedules, review Disney’s official refurbishment list before your trip, and expect to navigate around some heavy construction zones. Do that, and you’ll still have a smooth, festive, and stress-free vacation. In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more. 6. Psst, we’ve got a secret to let you in on… A new, ultra-limited edition dessert is hiding in Disney Springs, and it’s definitely worth snagging while you can! You’ll Have to Act FAST to Snag This One! There are TONS of great places to eat in Disney Springs, from fancy, special occasion spots to quick grab-and-go options. But even with so many restaurants to choose from, eet by Maneet Chauhan STILL stands out to us as a hidden gem. And now, there’s yet another reason to visit eet ASAP! For those who haven’t been yet (seriously, put it on your list!), eet serves up Indian food with a modern twist. We love this spot for its unique menu, with delicious options you won’t find anywhere else in Disney World. Plus, sometimes they even treat guests to special, limited-edition items…like a new ultra-exclusive dessert that you’ll have to act FAST to get your hands on! eet by Maneet Chauhan We swung by eet to try the limited-edition Mango and Guava Cheesecake that’s SO rare it didn’t even get its own sign or menu placard! Since it didn’t have a menu description, we had to do some guessing as far as the specific layers, but trust us, it was a delicious bit of investigative work. Mango and Guava Cheesecake! The bottom base of the cheesecake tasted cake-like instead of the typical graham cracker crust, but it was a thin layer, so it was hard to tell for sure. On top of that were layers of mango and guava cheesecake, topped with what tasted like mango whipped cream, chopped mango, mango guava popping pearls, and crispy pearls. Mango and Guava Cheesecake! Overall, this was up there as one of the best-tasting cheesecake desserts we’ve had around Disney World! We wouldn’t go as far as to say it’s THE #1 best, but it was definitely a standout, and it exceeded our expectations! The fruit flavor was strong but not overpowering, and it wasn’t overly sweet. It tasted like real fruit flavor, and we didn’t get any of that distinctive artificial flavor that can pop up in these types of desserts. This Was a Winner in Our Book! The cheesecake was super smooth and creamy, and the toppings added a nice mix of texture. The only part we didn’t love was the popping pearls — those DID have an artificial taste, which was a bit jarring compared to the rest of the dish. But minus the popping pearls, this dessert was a big winner for us. It was perfectly light and refreshing, and complements the rest of eet’s menu items well! Get It While You Can! Now, here’s the catch — the Mango and Guava Cheesecake is SUPER limited! The restaurant only has one batch of these, so once they sell out, they’re gone! Which just means it’s the perfect excuse for a trip to Disney Springs ASAP, right?? We’ll be on the lookout for more new snacks all around Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for the latest updates! 7. Oh, Disney. There is so much we want to do, but so little time to do it all! Here’s the perfect example: Disney just announced the 2026 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts dates, and, as usual, it’s the shortest seasonal EPCOT festival of the year. Does anyone else feel a rush of panic when you start comparing the dates to your actual availability for a Disney vacation?! Spaceship Earth at Night during the EPCOT Festival of the Arts The Festival of the Arts is one of EPCOT’s most creative, colorful, and delicious festivals! It offers unique treats, tasty drinks, and a glance at some of the most amazing art pieces from the most talented artists. It’s a popular festival, that’s for sure. In fact, we shared the announcement on our Facebook page (follow us for more news, by the way!), and it looks like our readers had some THOUGHTS about the festival — especially the insanely short amount of time that it will be taking place. The EPCOT International Festival of the Arts is going to be amazing next year, as it always is! It’s already been confirmed that the Disney on Broadway Concert Series is returning at the America Gardens Theater. Also, over 20 food booths will be serving art-inspired eats and drinks. The fan-favorite scavenger hunt is BACK as well, letting you search World Showcase for the mischievous dragon hiding in famous works of art. Got all that? In short, it’s gonna be GOOD. Cara Lindsey from “Newsies” at Disney On Broadway It’s almost all great news…ALMOST. The downside of the announcement came with the dates. EPCOT’s Festival of the Arts will take place from January 16th to February 23rd, 2026 — that’s just TOO short! Many feel like this colorful festival needs more time at the park, and we are definitely not the only ones! The first comment we saw came from reader @Kelly Hoffman, who said, “The best festival!! Disney Parks please make it longer!!!” Festival of the Arts Another fan, @Jamie Lee Hagan, totally agreed — “This is by far the best festival! I wish it was a little longer“. Then we really started to see a trend, because again, “Love the Festival of the Arts! Wish it was longer!” was said by @Do at Disney and Beyond. Figment Oh, and @Wendi H Wilcox said the EXACT same thing — “This is the best festival! Needs to be longer.” Take notes, Disney, the people are calling for MORE Festival of the Arts! Side walk chalk art! A comment made by @Kimberly Kay stated, “A week after we go,” which brought to our attention that some people are juuust missing the Festival. It’s a short window, after all! Figment’s Liege Waffle with ube filling Interestingly, quite a few readers brought up a good point about the Festival and how one of the runDisney Marathons happens right after the Festival. One reader, @Bethany Bro, commented, “My favorite festival! I wish they’d stretch it to run during Marathon Weekend and Princess Weekend!” @Erica Himes was on the same wavelength — “Why would they end it three days before a race weekend?” Color Craze Latte and Donut We wanted to mention that we love the timeline @Tabia Cotton recommended — “I wish the festival was longer and could run till at least mid March“. We totally agree — we wish the festival went all the way into March; it just feels right! EPCOT! The Festival of the Arts takes place during the “slower seasons” at Disney World. The crowds are typically lower and wait times are shorter — it’s that post-holiday vacation slump. Not a lot of people go to Disney World during this time of year! One reader expressed that they have never come to Disney World during that slow season, but will be for the first time. It sounds like @Amelia Weatherford Stansberry is THRILLED, “In 10 years of going to Disney multiple times a year, I have never once been to this festival. August, January, and February are the only 3 months I’ve never been to Orlando. I’m so excited to go for the first time in January!!!” Have so much fun, Amelia! You’re gonna LOVE it. Fun… and delicious Thank you to EVERYONE who commented on Facebook! If you want to chime in on the next Disney discussion, make sure you’re following us on social media. (Pssst. We have an Instagram account, too!) Alright Disney, the fans have spoken — Festival of the Arts needs to get MORE love! For all Disney news and updates, make sure to follow us at Disney Food Blog. 8. A Disney wish is granted every hour of every day. There’s something spellbinding about Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort, and this weekend was even more special because I got to witness something truly spooktacular: 40 wishes coming true. For the first time ever, Make-A-Wish, Disney, and MrBeast, along with YouTube and some of the world’s top creators, came together to grant wishes for 40 Make-A-Wish kids at the ultimate Halloween experience at Disneyland Resort. Creator Encounters From the moment the Make-A-Wish families arrived at the Disneyland Hotel, you could feel the excitement in the air. Each child was about to experience a one-of-a-kind adventure tailored to the creator they wished to meet. For the 16 kids who wished to meet MrBeast, the wish kicked off with an epic scavenger hunt through the park. Clues (and MrBeast’s crew) led them from one stop to another until they finally reached Sleeping Beauty Castle, where MrBeast was waiting to greet them. Meanwhile, wish kid Makayla spent the afternoon living out her dream playdate with A for Adley, filled with crafts, Disney dolls, and a few rounds of Adley’s game, Rainbow Ghost Rescue. Over at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Mark Rober was busy dropping eggs off the Millennium Falcon! Rober helped families craft their very own contraptions for the eggs to withstand the huge drop, and soon after, Science Bob stood at the top of the iconic spaceship to test them out. All around the resort, even more creators brought their own kind of magic to life for the 40 wish kids. Chef Amaury Guichon hosted a live chocolate-making demonstration, Doctor Mike built a lightsaber with wish kid Om, two wish kids rode Haunted Mansion Holiday alongside Sam & Colby, and so much more. A Frightfully Fun Finale After the kids got to meet their favorite creators, we gathered at Hollywood Backlot in Disney California Adventure park for the grand finale: A Frightfully Fun Wish party, where Disney Experiences Chairman, Josh D’Amaro and President of Disneyland Resort, Thomas Mazloum welcomed the families. Transformed into a Halloween wonderland and complete with a Feastables claw machine, games, and dance floor, it was a spooktacular time for all. Seeing wish kids dancing the night away and watching creators meet with families reminded me of the heart behind this event. Through these moments with wish kids and their families, I saw smiles among smiles from the brave kids and their families who’ve been through so much. To every wish family: Thank you for letting us be a part of your journey. To every creator: Thank you for showing up to give these kids the greatest experience. And to my fellow cast members: Thank you for making the magic for these wish kids! Wish experiences like these are part of Disney’s commitment to delivering moments of happiness and joy to kids who need it most. Disney is proud to be the world’s largest wish granter for Make-A-Wish, granting a wish every hour of every day. You Can Help Make Wishes Come True, Too! Now, you can be part of the magic! 9. There was a time when Rise of the Resistance took guests even closer to the Dark Side. Beck! Over my 30+ years visiting Disney’s theme parks, I can’t recall too many major attractions that have quite as mixed a reputation. On the one hand, the massive Star Wars E-Ticket is hailed by many as one of the best attractions Disney has ever created, with its trackless ride system, massive immersive sets, and multi-experience queue that almost counts as an attraction of itself. Others will counter that while the ride system is extraordinary, it’s also prone to breakdowns, delays, and long waits. However, both sides of the argument wish that this one rarely seen element would return. One of Rise of the Resistance’s show-stopping moments is the reveal of the Star Destroyer, when guests exit the transport portion of the queue (yes, the queue has its own miniature simulator ride portion) to a full-scale hangar featuring a Tie Fighter and a seemingly endless army of Stormtroopers. Rise of the Resistance The sight is one of the most breathtaking in all of Disney’s parks… and in the past, it was a bit terrifying. See, previously, Disney has snuck real Stormtroopers into the large group of stagnant states and light animatronic troopers. Said real Troopers would then sneak up on guests, giving them a scare that would make some Halloween Horror Nights performers eat their hearts out. Rise of the Resistance While having real Stormtroopers in the Rise queue has never been an everyday occurrence, it was somewhat more common in the early years of the ride’s operation, with members of our team recalling several instances of encountering them back in 2022. Some online sources say that real Troopers appeared in the queue as recently as the summer of 2025, though we haven’t been able to independently verify these claims. We don’t think any real troopers snuck up on Romain Grosjean ©Romain Grosjean In any case, we would like to see the real Troopers return to the Rise of the Resistance hangar scene with more regularity, as they add some kinetic energy… and some legitimate scares to the mega-attraction. 10. So if you’re here, you’re probably like us, and you love good food. Well, here’s the thing…airplane food is often anything BUT good. It can be bland, boring, and sometimes completely unappetizing. But what if we told you that was changing, at least for one airline? ©Delta Airlines Delta Air Lines recently announced that it is curating NEW meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a Disney World chef, and he isn’t just ANY Disney World chef, he’s a James Beard award-winning chef. Yep, select Delta Air Lines flights will soon have meals curated by José Andrés, who owns Jaleo in Disney Springs. That’s right, starting on November 4th, Delta is teaming up with Chef José Andrés to bring his flavors of Spain to breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Delta One and Delta First on select flights, with a phased rollout of meals planned through 2026. Chef Jose Andres Some of the entrees you can expect on these flights include: Spanish Tortilla with Pisto Manchego: a classic Spanish egg-and-potato omelet with a rich vegetable stew, served at breakfast. Braised Beef Short Rib in a Mojo Rojo BBQ Sauce: tender and savory, with a tangy, smoky sauce and creamy polenta Stuffed Piquillo Peppers: with a goat cheese and mushroom filling drizzled with piquillo bechamel Spanish Style Chicken: Chicken thigh with a rich sauce of sherry and dried fruit, served with celeriac-potato puree, roasted carrots, and pearl onions. Um…YUM! ©Delta Airlines Chef Andrés’ team worked closely with Delta on everything from portion sizes, reheating methods, and presentation, so you get a good quality Spanish tapas-quality meal even if you’re 30,000 feet in the air. ©Delta Airlines In addition, Delta is launching a new wine program that will be available through September 2026 with a “thoughtfully curated selection of wines” chosen in collaboration with world-renowned Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson. ©Getty Images So, the next time you fly on Delta, you may just well have a culinary experience on your way to Disney World…or anywhere else you travel. 12. Does anyone else get weirdly excited when a ride reopens in Disney World? We wanna know what changed! What’s new? Do the animatronics work better? Is there a new ride photo? We need ANSWERS. Well, the time has come — Spaceship Earth has FINALLY reopened at EPCOT! Let’s go back and thank the Phoenicians. Spaceship Earth The attraction closed in August for an extended refurbishment. The ride was set to reopen on October 25th (more on that in a second), and now that day is here. Let’s check it out! OK, so even though the iconic attraction officially opened today, we must point out that Spaceship Earth had a soft opening seven days ago. So, we did get a chance to hop back on one of our favorite rides and explore the past, present, and future of human communication a little bit earlier than originally expected. During a soft-opening, though, the ride may not be open for the entire day, so now that the ride is fully open, things are back to normal. It’s OPEN! We wanted to see if the ride had any changes following its refurbishment. Overall, the ride seems mildly refreshed, and it seems like some of the animatronics are moving a little more fluidly. That usually comes with any sort of cleanup with a ride. We wanted to see if there’s anything we should keep an eye out for, so we asked a Cast Member. They told us that the attraction had just been given a little routine maintenance. Inside Spaceship Earth Disney never announced the ride’s soft opening earlier this week. The wait times were NOT posted on the Disney World website or the My Disney Experience app. Now that the set opening date has arrived, all times will be posted, and everyone will be aware that the attraction is back. We missed you, Sassy Scientist! Spaceship Earth EPCOT is feeling whole again with its centerpiece attraction back again (don’t worry; we’re not saying it’s better than Cosmic Rewind, but it is the centerpiece of EPCOT). We’re in full swing of the Food and Wine Festival, and the park is preparing for the holiday season. The next closure on the docket runs November 10th through 13th, when Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure closes for some BIG updates (the ride is going 2D!). Spaceship Earth at EPCOT Whew! 13. Some people like to be home for the holidays. That’s nice. NOT US! You can catch us celebrating the holidays at Disney World or Universal Orlando. There’s just so much to see and do around the holiday season! So, with the holidays coming up soon, you might be planning a trip to Universal Orlando. Volcano Bay at Universal Orlando Like we said, the holidays are a great time to visit Universal, especially with all the fun holiday decorations, the chance to meet The Grinch (a personal favorite meet and greet of ours!), and to enjoy some fun holiday snacks. However, if you are visiting Universal this holiday season, you might need to be aware of some closures at Volcano Bay, Universal’s water park, because it will be closed on 12 select dates in November and December. According to Universal Orlando’s online calendar, Universal Orlando’s Volcano Bay will be closed on both November 12th and 13th, so if you had plans to visit the water park on those days, you may need a new game plan. However, Volcano Bay has more closures coming up after that through the end of the year. View from the beach Volcano Bay will also be closed on the following dates: November 26th, December 3rd, December 4th, December 8th, December 9th, December 17th, December 18th, December 22nd, December 23rd, and December 30th. That’s a total of 12 days when the water park will be closed. Note that the park may also close due to the weather, so check the forecast before your visit. Low wait times! As we previously reported, Volcano Bay will also have a seasonal closure beginning on October 26th, 2026, with a planned reopening on or before March 24th, 2027. Universal has plans to do regular maintenance on several attractions and areas in the water park during that time. Volcano Bay Nights In other water park news, Universal recently discontinued virtual queues at the water park, as well as the use of the TapuTapu bands (sort of like free MagicBands you get at the park to tap into virtual queues). Look out for that change on your next visit! ©Universal Stay tuned to DFB for more. Wait…Did Universal Just Borrow Disney’s Idea for Lightning Lane Single Pass?! 14. Look, some people use Venn diagrams to explore serious topics like data analysis or population overlap. We use them to answer life’s real questions. Like: What does it mean when your closet looks like a Tim Burton movie collided with a Build-A-Bear Workshop? Or: At what point do you stop buying Loungefly bags and start paying rent on them instead? Feeding our Loungefly addiction. Welcome to the Loungefly Venn Diagram Collection — a completely scientific, definitely peer-reviewed (by us and our cats) exploration into the minds of Disney and Universal fans who have never once met a themed mini backpack they didn’t want to emotionally imprint on. So grab your vanilla oatmilk latte, your park ears, and your wallet (may it rest in peace) — because we’re about to map the chaotic intersection of theme parks, fashion, and some generalized personality stereotypes. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. The Many Faces of Halloween: Sweet, Spooky, and Thrilling This is a collision of Halloween Fans x Universal Enthusiasts x Cute & Cuddly Collectors. It’s like if Dracula, Winnie the Pooh, and Jaws all showed up at the same party — and somehow, it worked. Halloween Fans x Universal Fans x Cute and Cuddly Collectors You know that moment when your personality can’t decide between spooky, cinematic, and “awww”? Yeah. This Venn diagram gets it. It’s the visual embodiment of “why yes, I do have a bag for every mood swing.” Let’s break down this delightful madness: Halloween Fans – for those whose aesthetic is “It’s October 31st year-round and I dare you to stop me.” Classic Jack-o-Lantern Bag: The pumpkin purse that says “I have seventeen Bath & Body Works candles and no regrets.” Dracula Bag (crossing into Universal): Because sometimes your accessories also need to brood about immortality. Ghost Minnie Bag (crossing into Cute & Cuddly): She’s adorable, she’s spectral, and she’s proof that even in the afterlife, Minnie’s bow game stays strong. ©BoxLunch Get the Classic Jack O’Lantern HERE Universal Fans – for those who like their backpacks with a side of trauma and blockbuster nostalgia. Jaws Bag: The only bag that bites back. Wear it to remind everyone you survived both Shark Week and summer crowds at Islands of Adventure. Toothless Bag (crossing into Cute & Cuddly): Because sometimes your monster just needs a cuddle and a fish snack. Dracula Bag (crossing into Halloween): Because sometimes your accessories also need to brood about immortality ©Amazon Buy Toothless HERE Cute & Cuddly – for the soft souls who just want to hold hands with chaos. Winnie the Pooh Bag: Perfect for when you want to scream internally but look like you’re calmly searching for honey. Toothless Bag (shared with Universal): A little darkness, a lot of hugs, and the eyes of a dragon who definitely chewed your favorite slipper. Ghost Minnie Bag (shared with Halloween): She haunts, but make it fashion. ©Disney Store Order Ghost Minnie HERE The Overlap Zone: Dancing Skeleton Bag If you live here, you’re a complex creature—spooky, cinematic, and sentimental all at once. You probably own multiple pairs of Halloween pajamas and still cry at E.T. ©Amazon Grab the Skeleton Dance Loungefly HERE This diagram doesn’t just map Loungefly bags—it maps us. The spooky-cute, thrill-seeking, snack-loving Disney adults of the world. The Rope Dropper’s Caffeinated Thrill Problem: A Loungefly Analysis Here’s your next round of delightfully unhinged commentary for the Rope Dropper x Coffee Drinker x Thrill Rider Venn Diagram! Once again, we bravely enter the world of themed backpacks and emotional instability. This particular Venn diagram maps out the species of park guest who sets alarms for 5:45 a.m., drinks iced coffee like it’s a competitive sport, and thinks “single rider line” is a lifestyle. Let’s examine the overlapping circles of chaos: Rope Dropper – You’ve been awake since before sunrise, powered solely by blind optimism and a questionable pastry from your hotel food court. Minnie Bag: Classic. Reliable. The kind of guest who’s already at the hub, taking castle photos while the rest of us are still brushing our teeth. Stormtrooper Bag (shared with Thrill Riders): You move with military precision and believe the only acceptable number of rides before 10 a.m. is all of them. Hei Hei Bag (shared with Coffee Drinkers): Perfectly captures the energy of someone who’s both lost and committed to the bit. ©Amazon Shop for the Minnie Loungefly HERE Coffee Drinker – You run on caffeine and questionable decision-making. Your wallet may be empty, but your reusable tumbler is full. Orange Mickey Bag: Like you — bright, jittery, and a little bit extra. Hei Hei Bag (shared with Rope Droppers): The chaotic chicken of the caffeinated elite. You may not know where you’re going, but you’ll get there fast and with a latte in hand. Tower of Terror Bag (shared with Thrill Riders): Symbolizes that post-cold-brew heart rate spike we call “Disney cardio.” ©Disney Order the Tower of Terror Loungefly HERE Thrill Rider – Your park strategy is simple: If it doesn’t make your hair defy gravity, you’re not interested. Lightning McQueen Bag: Because “Ka-Chow” is both a catchphrase and a state of mind. Tower of Terror Bag (shared with Coffee Drinkers): You laugh in the face of gravity, responsibility, and hydration. Stormtrooper Bag (shared with Rope Droppers): Your precision timing is unmatched—until the caffeine crash hits. ©Amazon Grab the Stormtrooper Backpack HERE The Overlap Zone: Hollywood Studios Bag Here lies the rarest creature of all — the Fully Realized Disney Overachiever. She’s a beaut. Shop for This DHS bag HERE They’ve rope-dropped Rise of the Resistance, double-fisted Joffrey’s cold brews, and somehow still have the energy to sprint to Tower of Terror before noon. They are chaos. They are beauty. They are the reason Lightning Lane exists. This Venn diagram is less about Loungefly bags and more about personality diagnostics. If you see yourself in all three circles, congratulations—you’re a Disney Park morning person and a menace to society. The Princess Problem: A Loungefly Study in Sparkle, Sweets, and Soft Luxury This one’s for the fans who call every cast member “darling,” cry during fireworks, and have opinions about which shade of pastel best represents emotional healing. Cake Bake Fan x Grand Floridian Fan x Fireworks Fan If your Loungeflys have more shimmer than sense, welcome home. Cake Bake Fan – You live for buttercream, brunch reservations, and anything that looks like it was dipped in glitter and blessed by a fairy godmother. Minnie Shimmer Bag: For when your outfit needs to say, “Yes, I’m overdressed for lunch, but it’s on theme.” Rapunzel Bag (shared with Grand Floridian Fans): Because you believe haircare and emotional vulnerability are valid forms of personality. Minnie Mouse Tie-Dye Bag (shared with Fireworks Fans): Sweet, soft, and slightly chaotic—like a cupcake that’s had too much sugar and too many feelings. ©Amazon View the Minnie Shimmer Loungefly HERE Grand Floridian Fan – You prefer your Disney with chandeliers, live piano music, and zero screaming children within a five-foot radius. Grand Floridian Bag: Obviously. It’s the visual embodiment of a $55 afternoon tea. Rapunzel Bag (shared with Cake Bake Fans): A little whimsy, a lot of hair care, and probably a scented hand cream tucked inside. Cinderella Dress Bag (shared with Fireworks Fans): For the guest who insists on wearing pearls to Magic Kingdom. ©Amazon Get the Cinderella Dress Bag HERE Fireworks Fan – You plan your entire day around the night sky and will sob openly when “Happily Ever After” starts playing. Castle Fireworks Bag: It’s giving “main character energy under the sky of a thousand dreams.” Cinderella Dress Bag (shared with Grand Floridian Fans): For people who clap when the first sparkle hits. Minnie Mouse Tie-Dye Bag (shared with Cake Bake Fans): Soft pastels, big emotions, and the unshakable belief that Tinker Bell sees you. ©Amazon Grab this Disney Loungefly HERE The Overlap Zone: Cinderella Purse This is where all three worlds collide: refined, glittery, and just dramatic enough to make everyone around you feel underdressed. ©Target Order the Cinderella Purse HERE You are elegance and extra personified — crying at fireworks, sipping Prosecco at Cake Bake, and somehow still managing to look like a Disney Princess who owns a trust fund. The Midnight Snack Club: A Loungefly Love Letter to Sugar, Shadows, and Staying Up Too Late This Venn diagram perfectly captures the unholy trinity of Disney park life: Being awake long past a reasonable bedtime, Riding things that definitely spark nostalgia, and Consuming Mickey-shaped foods as if they’re a government-mandated requirement. Night Owl x Dark Rides x Mickey Shaped Treat Let’s dive in—preferably face-first into a churro. Night Owl – You’re the person who insists on “just one more ride” even though your Fitbit died six hours ago. Haunted Mansion Clock Bag: Because you thrive after dark, powered entirely by ghostly vibes and questionable life choices. Tiana & Naveen Bag (shared with Dark Rides): You may not be a morning person, but you are a swamp-dancing, late-night beignet kind of person. Mickey Treat Wallet (shared with Mickey Shaped Treats): The only wallet that won’t judge you as you buy yet another limited-edition popcorn bucket ©Amazon Shop for the Haunted Mansion Clock Bag HERE Dark Rides – You’re here for nostalgia, mood lighting, and animatronics that may or may not haunt your dreams. Peter Pan Bag: The most chaotic of the “we can fly!” crowd. You’re airborne, unbothered, and perpetually ignoring Lightning Lane math. Tiana & Naveen Bag (shared with Night Owls): Because a dark ride and the promise of late-night beignets? That’s a lifestyle. Remy Bag (shared with Mickey Treat Fans): For those who believe the true magic happens when a tiny rat cooks your midnight snack. ©Disney Grab the Peter Pan Loungefly HERE Mickey-Shaped Treat – You came for the sugar, you stayed for the aesthetic. Minnie Cotton Candy Bag: You radiate pink energy and smell faintly of nostalgia and spun sugar. Remy Bag (shared with Dark Rides): Because your favorite part of EPCOT is pretending you have refined taste while eating Mickey ice cream bars. Mickey Treat Wallet (shared with Night Owl): The only wallet that won’t judge you as you buy yet another limited-edition popcorn bucket. ©BoxLunch Order the Minnie Cotton Candy Bag HERE The Overlap Zone: Mickey Caramel Apple Bag The holy grail of the Loungefly night scene. You’ve stayed up too late, eaten too much sugar, and still have eyeliner holding on for dear life. Disney Eats caramel apple Loungefly mini backpack Get your Caramel Apple Backpack HERE You’re equal parts Haunted Mansion and Main Street Confectionery, and honestly? We respect that level of commitment to chaos. This diagram doesn’t just represent Disney guests. It represents the spectrum of Disney adulthood—where snacks are currency, rides are religion, and “bedtime” is a myth. If you exist in the middle of this one, congratulations. You are both the problem and the magic. A Very Sparkly Pixar Christmas: The Diagram No One Asked For (But You Needed Anyway) Behold: the intersection of tinsel, tears, and tiny sequins. This chart scientifically tracks the overlap between people who blast Mariah Carey on November 1st, think glitter is a neutral, and cry every time Up plays on Disney+. Christmas x Sparkles x Pixar This one sparkles like a sugar rush on Christmas morning. It’s festive, it’s chaotic, and it’s scientifically proven (by zero scientists) that simply looking at this diagram will make you crave hot cocoa and a trip to the Emporium. Christmas Fans – You start decorating the moment the Halloween pumpkins hit clearance. Your blood type is eggnog, and you’ve definitely used “cozy vibes” as a justification for a $95 candle. Christmas Sweater Bag: It jingles. It sparkles. It announces your presence before you even walk in the room. Peppermint Sequin Bag (shared with Sparkles): The bag equivalent of a sugar rush and a dental bill. Carl & Ellie Christmas Tree Bag (shared with Pixar): You believe Up is a Christmas movie if you cry hard enough. ©Shop Disney Shop for the Peppermint Loungefly HERE Sparkles Fans – You don’t do subtle. You radiate. You reflect. You probably own at least one ring light “just in case.” Iridescent Sequin Bag: Classic. Shiny. Completely impractical for hiding snacks—but who cares when you’re this sparkly? Peppermint Sequin Bag (shared with Christmas): The fashion equivalent of saying “I’m festive but also fabulous.” Boo Sequin Bag (shared with Pixar): You shimmer and shriek—just like Boo when Sulley roars. ©Amazon Buy the Sequin Backpack HERE Pixar Fans – You’re fueled by nostalgia, emotional devastation, and the belief that toys have feelings. Buzz Lightyear Bag: You don’t just go to infinity and beyond—you go there in style. Carl & Ellie Christmas Tree Bag (shared with Christmas): A bag for anyone who has ever ugly cried over a montage. Boo Sequin Bag (shared with Sparkles): Adorable chaos with emotional depth. You sparkle through the tears. ©Amazon Order the Buzz Lightyear Bag HERE The Overlap Zone: Eve Christmas Light Bag If this bag speaks to your soul, you’re the ultimate combination of sentimental and extra. ©BoxLunch Shop for the Eve Bag HERE You are joy incarnate—probably running late to a cookie exchange, but glowing while doing it. This isn’t just a Loungefly Venn diagram—it’s a glittering mirror reflecting your inner Disney chaos. You’re shiny, sentimental, and fully committed to making every day feel like a Pixar Christmas special directed by Buddy the Elf. Final Thoughts: The Loungefly Multiverse Has Spoken And there you have it — five Venn diagrams, zero restraint, and at least 12 emotional support mini backpacks later. We’ve mapped out everything from the caffeinated chaos of the rope drop crowd to the spooky-cute souls who treat every day like Halloween, to the pastel princesses who sparkle harder than the fireworks finale. If you saw yourself in all of them… congratulations, you’re not indecisive — you’re just a fully realized Disney adult with range (and possibly a storage problem). ©BoxLunch Grab this Christmas Loungefly HERE These diagrams weren’t meant to solve anything. They were meant to validate everything — your need for sequins and snacks, your morning coffee and midnight churro, your ability to cry over both fireworks and Boo from Monsters, Inc. ©Amazon Shop for this Cars Backpack HERE Because deep down, every Loungefly fan knows: We don’t just collect bags — we collect identities. One for every mood, park day, and seasonal mental breakdown. So go ahead — wear the sparkly one to EPCOT, the spooky one to Magic Kingdom, and the peppermint-themed one in July. The Loungefly Venn Diagram multiverse doesn’t judge. It just claps politely, says “same,” and asks where you got it. 17. EPCOT is home to so many restaurants, and once you throw in festival booths, it’s easy to get overwhelmed on where to choose. That’s why we’re here — we’ve eaten at every single restaurant at Disney World (and every food booth at EPCOT festivals) and we have some opinions on where you should eat. Lotus Blossom Cafe We went to Lotus Blossom Cafe at the China Pavilion in EPCOT, and you’re coming with us! This quick-service restaurant is there all year round, ready to serve your favorite Chinese take-out staples, all while you travel the World Showcase. Atmosphere Order at the counter Lotus Blossom Cafe is just to the left when you enter, past the Nine Dragons Restaurant. There is no mobile ordering available at this quick-service restaurant, but you can place your order directly at the counter and then pick it up from the back counter. There’s a covered seating area with tables, chairs, and benches, offering great sun coverage during the hotter months. There are so many food booths during EPCOT festivals, and you might be stopping at those limited-time offerings during your visit, but if you come when there isn’t a festival or are looking for some of your favorites, Lotus Blossom Cafe can be great. It’s open from 11 AM to 9 PM, which can be great for a late-night snack. Seating Menu The restaurant offers a variety of options, including appetizers, entrees, kids’ meals, desserts, and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Many of these items you’ll be familiar with from your local Chinese take-out spot, like Pork Egg Rolls, Chicken Pot Stickers, Orange Chicken, Chicken Fried Rice, Mongolian Beef, and Stir-Fried Noodles. Kids’ options include Sweet and Sour Chicken, too, and there’s Caramel-Ginger Ice Cream and Lychee Ice Cream. They offer Coca-Cola fountain drinks, Black and Green Iced Tea, and Lychee Tea. You can’t forget about the Plum Wine! The menu That menu sounds great — let’s eat! Eats We started with the Chicken Pot Stickers for $7.35 Chicken Pot Stickers Starting us off, these weren’t quite our favorite. They have a soft exterior with a bit of crispiness from being pan-fried, and while there is a good amount of filling inside, it feels a bit bland. We highly recommend dipping them in some of the available sauces to add more flavor. They reminded us of potstickers from the frozen food section of the grocery store, and while this isn’t a bad thing, they’re not going to be the greatest potstickers you’ve ever had. Inside Then we had the Mongolian Beef Noodle Combo for $15.75. This is served with a pork egg roll and a fortune cookie. Mongolian Beef Noodles The beef in the dish was fairly tender and easy to chew, with a good amount of it included. It had a light, sweet sauce, similar to teriyaki sauce. The noodles were tender, mixed with veggies, and tasted like the chow mein noodles you can grab at Panda Express. The egg roll, which is also served with the Orange Chicken Combo, has a crispy outside and is filled with meat and veggies, but it was nothing to write home about. Plenty of beef! After that, we had the Orange Chicken Combo for $14.95. This dish is also served with a pork egg roll and a fortune cookie. Orange Chicken Admittedly, we’re a bit of a sucker for orange chicken, and this was our favorite of the savory dishes we had. The chicken is coated in a crispy coating and then tossed in the sweet orange sauce. The ratio of breading to chicken was good, and there was a decent amount of meat served with it. The rice was slightly dry, but once we mixed in some of the orange chicken sauce, it was pretty tasty! Our favorite! We rounded off our meal with Lychee Ice Cream for $5.35. Lychee Ice Cream We were pretty impressed by this ice cream! It tasted like vanilla ice cream with a hint of sweet lychee. It also had tiny chunks of the lychee intermixed, which added a nice texture and additional taste. While we’re used to taking a bunch of pictures of our food before we dive in, the ice cream still held up well and came very frozen, so if you eat it after grabbing it, it will be the perfect consistency. Digging in Nosh or Not You should stop by Lotus Blossom Cafe if… You’re looking for a quick meal with familiar favorites You have picky eaters You love Chinese takeout and want to try another version This might be a skip if… An EPCOT festival is going on, and food booths sound more interesting You prefer to try foods with a more unique flavor profile You like a longer meal where you can sit inside Our meal Overall Lotus Blossom Cafe is great if you’re looking for something familiar and consistent. While we would recommend better restaurants throughout the World Showcase, sometimes you need something that you know you’ll love because not every dish needs to be an adventure. If you have picky eaters, this might be a great place to stop, and don’t forget to add that delicious lychee ice cream! 18. Happy Halloween, ghouls and goblins! Yes, spooky season will be over before you know it, but if you’re like us, and you’re trying to get EVERY LAST OUNCE of spookiness out of life before everything turns red and green for the holidays, we’ve got a heads up for you. Shake flight If you’re familiar with Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes at Downtown Disney in Disneyland, you’re probably familiar with the restaurant’s CrazyShakes, which are these over-the-top shakes you can order. Well, believe it or not, this restaurant is doing a FLIGHT of shakes for Halloween (we…can’t…even), and we just HAD to try it for ourselves. Meet the Trick or Treat Shake Flight. For $25, you get three miniature CrazyShakes, including a Kit Kat Shake, a Skittles Shake, and a Sweet and Salty Shake. Three shakes. We are SO going for it. Trick or Treat Shake Flight So let’s talk about the Kit Kat Shake. It’s got a chocolate frosted rim rolled in crushed chocolate candies, topped with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle. It really tastes like a Kit Kat with some chocolate drizzle and whipped cream added for good measure. It’s also a very Instagrammable shake, although we thought this was the least creative of the shakes, at least in flavor. But if you love Kit Kats, you HAVE to get it, right? Kit Kat Shake We were really interested (and maybe a little scared) when it came to the Skittles Shake. This could go either way with its vanilla frosted rim in mini skittles and candy clusters, topped with whipped cream, strawberry drizzle, and a cherry. You get PLENTY of candy on this one, so you’ll be tasting the rainbow, as well as some gummy clusters and Nerds. The shake itself is a blend of vanilla and strawberry, so we’ll say this is the most kid-friendly of the three in the flight. The textures, though, really sold this one for us. But it’s also FULL of flavor. Skittles Shake Finally, the Sweet and Salty Shake is a peanut butter shake with a chocolate and peanut butter frosted rim rolled in M&Ms, topped with pretzel rods, peanut butter cups, and caramel and chocolate sauce. Are we in peanut butter and chocolate heaven? This baby tastes like a liquified Reese’s, which, we think is what joy tastes like. The M&Ms add additional chocolate flavor, and then there’s the saltiness from the pretzel rods. This baby is creative and it DELIVERS. Sweet and Salty Shake Okay, so a word of warning…this shake flight is, well, it’s a LOT of sugar, especially with that additional frosting on the rim of each one. If you’re going to try this, we would recommend you invite some friends along. However, we highly recommend the flight because all of these shakes live up to their names. Stay tuned to DFB for more. 19. Sure, we want to save the world! Who doesn’t? After watching years of Marvel movies, we’re ready to gear up and put on our masks. But wouldn’t it be so nice if we could save Earth from home? ©Marvel We don’t want to sound lazy about it, of course, but in just a few weeks, we can turn on Disney+ and feel heroic right from the couch. Grab your popcorn and get ready, because Fantastic Four: First Steps will be available on streaming soon! Get ready to suit up with the Fantastic Four! Over on X, Disney has confirmed that Marvel’s “First Family” is “coming home,” and it’s sooner than you think. Fantastic Four: First Steps will be available for streaming starting on November 5th, 2025. ©Disney The film originally debuted in theatres on July 25th. Even though there have been other movies based on the super family in the past, this was the first time they were a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It features Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Ebon-Moss Bachrach as the Thing. Other stars include Julia Garner, John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne, Sarah Niles, Ralph Ineson, and more. ©Disney The movie made over $521 million during its time in the theaters! According to Variety, it was Marvel’s strongest opening weekend of the year and the second strongest superhero opening behind DC Studios’ Superman. This is the fourth time these Marvel characters have been on the big screen since 2005, but it is the first time the characters have been developed by Disney after the bought Marvel Studios in 2019. ©Marvel This film follows the heroic family at the height of their notoriety instead of an origin story like the previous films. The family will also be in the upcoming film Avengers: Doomsday, which is set to hit the theaters on December 18th, 2026. The new film has been highly anticipated, especially after the entire cast list was confirmed, and it included Robert Downey Jr., who is returning to the franchise as Victor Von Doom. ©Marvel Studios We are seriously excited to stream this popular movie once it drops on Disney+, and we know it’s just going to make us even more excited for Doomsday next year. 21. Have you ever wanted to just live in the Disney magic? Well, you can’t move into Disney World (believe us, we would if we could), but you can move into a Disney community. Disney has officially launched its Storyliving community, Cotino, in Rancho Mirage, California, and it’s a chance to buy a house in a neighborhood completely designed by Disney. That means you get all those nice Disney touches, as well as the home you’ve dreamed of. Well, if you’re curious about Cotino, we’ve got a FIRST LOOK to share with you. We were invited to attend a media preview of Cotino, and it is way more than just a neighborhood. It also has parks, walking trails, sand beaches, activities, and a voluntary Artisan Club. One thing we noticed is that the community still seems to be in development (about half of it, at least). It’s also very spread out. We checked in at the Artisan Club for the event. Let’s check in! Residents of Cotino have access to all kinds of special programs and excursions, as well as other activities included with their resident fees. There’s also a lot of recreational activity available on the water, like paddleboarding, paddle boats, kayaks, water yoga, and more. There are lots of things to do on the water We were also invited to have lunch at Architect’s Fork, a Cotino restaurant. The restaurant offers an elevated experience with seasonal items, as well as Disney-inspired eats like Walt’s chili and the Hollywood Brown Derby’s Cobb Salad. Both the food and wines will take inspiration from California. The restaurant is only open to members from 8 AM to 8 PM. Architect’s Fork The restaurant “is a celebration of design, creativity, and Disney heritage.” Here, every wall tells a story with original concept art, technical drawings, and archival pieces from Walt Disney Imagineering. Inside the restaurant You’ll find architectural drawings from the mid-century on the walls. Architectural drawings on the wall The chandeliers in the restaurant are made up of pens preferred by architects. You’ll find all kinds of subtle storytelling throughout the space. These chandeliers are so cool The restaurant overlooks Cotino Bay. Not a bad view We even got a sneak peek at some of the food the restaurant will be serving. The menu will include things like a Falafel Bowl, Steak and Frites… Food! …Buccatini Bolognese, Citrus Burrata, and more. More food! We also visited Plot Twist, the Artisan Club’s casual restaurant and bar, complete with outside sofas and chairs to lounge away with a cocktail and snacks. Plot Twist The menu features a good variety of cocktails… Cocktail menu …as well as beer and other beverages. Beer and other beverages Next, we got busy and took a Mixology Course there! Learning to make this pretty pink drink Time for the showstopper. What really impressed us was the Parr House. Yes, PARR House, as in The Incredibles. And here we are without our super suit! Parr House Dare we say this house is…well…INCREDIBLE? This two-story house is a multi-functional space for Artisan Club members to attend events, celebrate milestones, and even have an occasional overnight stay (okay, we’re ready to sign up!). This house is gorgeous It’s also a gathering space for members and their guests that includes spaces for dining, although we’re OBSESSED with this Incredibles-themed kitchen. The kitchen Don’t forget to grab a bowl of Sugar Bombs! LOVE it Seriously, we love all the little details sprinkled throughout the house. The details really make it Did we already mention that members can even have overnight stays here? Bedroom Okay, we’re sold. When can we move in? If only, right? We want to live here Houses in Cotino start at the mid-$1 million price range, so we might not be moving in any time soon, but to those who do get to call Cotino home, you’re in for a real treat. 22. If you’ve ever visited Disney World, you’ll know the one thing you can count on is unpredictable weather. These keep your feet dry! It’s a sure bet that it will rain at least once during your Disney World trip. That’s why it’s important to be prepared for those random rainstorms that seem to come out of nowhere. Who wants to run around the parks with wet socks? Well, we’ve found the perfect solution for that, and it’s the ultimate Disney World shoe hack for a rainy day. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. So what’s this Disney World shoe hack that has basically changed my life? I’m so glad you asked! I’m talking about shoe covers. You read that right. Silicone Waterproof Shoe Covers. I tried them out, and now I can’t shut up about them. So, now I’m here to give you the lowdown. Silicone Waterproof Shoe Covers View Online! Are They Worth the Money? Okay, confession time. When I first saw these things, I had ZERO faith in them. I mean, they look like something straight out of a “weird Amazon gadgets” haul video. But after watching one of my friends rock them (in the rain, no less) and seeing their shoes remain bone dry while mine resembled a swamp, I had a change of heart. A complete look! So, I caved and tried them for myself, and let me tell you, they actually work. Like, actually. I’m ashamed to admit that I’m probably going to buy a pair for myself permanently because these bad boys saved my feet. We love them! No more sloshing around the park with wet socks and praying for sunshine. You want to know the best part? They didn’t even break the bank! Totally worth it, especially if you want to avoid soggy shoes and blisters. What I Loved About Them First off, these covers do exactly what they’re supposed to. They’re waterproof, easy to slip on, and keep your shoes dry. My teammate tested them first, and after seeing how well they worked, I had to join the club. Putting them on in Magic Kingdom We both noticed that if you’re at the higher end of a shoe size, you might want to size up. The zipper at the top can be a little tight, and you don’t want to feel like you’re squeezing your feet into a rainproof straitjacket. But overall, they get the job done. What Could Be Improved But let me be honest. As magical as these shoe covers are, they’re not 100% foolproof. If there’s a gap at the top, rain will find a way in. Silicone Waterproof Shoe Covers I found that when I walked directly against the rain, water hit my legs and trickled down into the covers. So, they’re not perfect. I don’t know about you, but I’ll take a little dampness over walking around in drenched sneakers any day. View Online! Do You Need This Hack for Your Disney Trip? Absolutely! Florida rains often enough that it’s highly likely that you’ll encounter a surprise downpour or two during your trip. Trust me, you don’t want to deal with the aftermath of wet shoes. Silicone Waterproof Shoe Covers Wet shoes stink, they take forever to dry, and they can totally ruin the magic of the day. But these shoe covers are a lifesaver. They’ll keep your shoes dry, your socks cozy, and your mood unbothered. Did This Make My Trip Easier? Without a doubt! I’m not someone who usually wears tennis shoes to Disney World because the thought of soggy socks alone is enough to make me cringe, but with these covers, I was able to wear my favorite shoes, stay comfortable, and skip the misery of soaked sneakers. Did we just find the ULTIMATE rainy day solution? They’re my new Disney World must-have. Honestly, we can’t recommend them enough. Check them out for your next trip to Disney World. 23. Hollywood Studios is in the midst of a MASSIVE transformation, but that’s going to change the face of the park… for the better in the minds of some. New artwork on the walls! Currently, there are two MAJOR construction projects happening at the park that was once known as the Disney-MGM Studios, with two more game-changing ride refurbishments scheduled for 2026. Perhaps that will make it more popular amongst these guests… though further change may actually make them think less of the park! While the iconic Tower of Terror is set to remain, the rest of the park has been in a state of flux for a while now, and some visitors don’t like it. Tower of Terror We reached out to our readers to see what they liked about Hollywood Studios, and we were shocked to see so many people share that they did not like anything about the park. Hollywood Studios One reader said that Hollywood Studios “used to be the romanticized Golden Age of Hollywood vibe. It had the Backlot Tour and the Great Movie Ride. Nowadays, it’s down to Galaxy’s Edge and Toy Story Land…” The Great Movie Ride Other readers shared that their favorite thing about the park is the exit, or that there are three other parks to visit. Another reader told us that they “ have genuinely never had a good time” at Hollywood Studios. Toy Story Land As mentioned, attractions that once gave Hollywood Studios that Hollywood Vibe have closed. One reader joked that their favorite things about the park are “The Great Movie Ride, the Backlot Tour, the Honey I Shrunk the Kids play area, and the Osborne Family Lights at Christmas time.… What? …you say they’re all gone?” Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights Not only do Disney Adults feel that this park is not what it once was, but it is not a good park for children, as there is not much for kids to do. Parents on the AllEars team shared some of their frustrations with the park. Sunset Blvd For example, 2024 saw the closure of Muppet*Vision 3D… only for it to be announced that the Muppets would live on at the park as a part of a retheme of the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. This announcement has been met with derision from some, who are upset that the kid-friendly Muppets characters will be “locked” on a ride that’s not universally accessible. ©Disney One of our team members said that there is almost nothing for kids to do. There is no splash pad, nowhere to run around, and no playground. Due to height requirements, her child could only ride Runaway Railway and Toy Story Mania. He still isn’t tall enough for Alien Swirling Saucers. Toy Story Land One of the last more “kid-friendly” experiences closed in 2025 to make way for a Disney Villains stage show. While we, as adults, are excited about this new show, some kids might feel frightened. The good news is Lightning McQueen and all his friends will have a new home in the Magic Kingdom when two new ‘Cars’ attractions open in Frontierland, but it will be years until that expansion is built. Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy is now closed However, something NEW is on the way for kids. Currently, a massive refurbishment project is transforming the Animation Courtyard from the home of the Star Wars Launch Bay into a new version of The Magic of Disney Animation. ©Disney The new areas will feature numerous kid-friendly additions, including theming based on the Emmy-winning Once Upon a Studio short that celebrated Disney’s 100th Anniversary. This will include “moving” portraits, as well as character meet & greets. There will also be sketch classes, where guests will be able to draw their own favorite Disney characters, similar to the original Animation Academy. This might be the most similar to the classic Studios park, and the Drawn to Wonderland playground, which will feature an oversized flower garden with musical instruments, a Mad Tea Party playset, and a Tulgey Wood exploration area, all designed in the style of Disney Legend Mary Blair. ©Disney Not only is Hollywood Studios not ideal for families with smaller children, but it can also be challenging for expectant mothers to find something to do. Expectant mothers can pretty much only ride Toy Story Mania and possibly Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, except it is jerky. Expectant mothers, along with families with little children, are mainly limited in entertainment offerings and atmosphere enjoyment. Toy Story Mania While the new Monsters, Inc. Land only has the door coaster confirmed as far as rides go, the area is going to include a show that should likely be kid-friendly. In addition, from the concept art, it seems like a playground may be included in this land, which would be great for younger kiddos. ©Disney || There looks like there is a slide on the left Meanwhile, soon kids on the older side will be able to see two of the most popular Star Wars characters: The Mandalorian and Grogu. Beginning in May of 2026, the characters will be added to a new adventure on Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run, starring the two popular characters in conjunction with their new film. New missions will be added to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers run in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort featuring the Mandalorian and Grogu. Change is a good thing, and Walt Disney himself even felt this way about Disneyland, but we can’t help but miss the way Hollywood Studios used to be. 24. Disney World is known for lots of things! Amazing attractions, sickeningly hot days, long lines, and snacks that you either love or hate. The new frozen flight! Over in Disney Springs, the shopping and dining district in Orlando, you’ll find some of the best snacks and sips at the resort. Honestly, too many people are skipping them! One of our favorite restaurants, Wine Bar George, has now given us the perfect way to cool down on those warm fall days. If you want the feeling of Disney World without those Disney World park ticket prices, Disney Springs is the place to go! This section of Disney has over 60 eateries and enough stores for everyone in your group to find at least one souvenir. (We tend to find hundreds if we’re being honest.) The Basket at Wine Bar George While we shop around, we like to have a little something to sip on, and The Basket at Wine Bar George is an awesome place to grab a drink. This walk-up stand has some serious sleeper hits, so you know we had to try their new Frozen Flight for $22. It comes with four flavors, including Frozen Cocoa (non-alcoholic), Spiced Pear, Froscato, and Freaujolais. The frozen flight! The flight itself isn’t brand new but two of the flavors are! The first new flavor is the Frozen Cocoa. It tasted similarly to a malted chocolate shake. It is chocolatey and sweet, and very refreshing served frozen. Probably not the best bang for your buck in the flight, but it was definitely a tasty option, and it is a great non-alcoholic option! We believe Disney needs more mocktails across the park, and we love seeing that variety here. Frozen Cocoa The second new flavor is the Spiced Pear. The one reminded us a lot of a frozen apple cider! It had tons of warm spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. It also had a nice, juicy flavor thanks to the pear. The brandy was pretty apparent as well, making all of the flavors work well together for a nice fall drink. The Spiced Pear! Next was the Froscato! This one was very heavy on the pineapple flavor. It was very sweet and honestly made us feel like we should be drinking it poolside or at the beach. We could barely taste the alcohol in this one, so this would be a dangerous one if you ordered it in a large cup! It was perfectly tropical and made for pineapple lovers! Froscato Finally, we tried the Freaujolais! This one was a surprise to us, in the best way! It reminded us of a very fruity, frozen red wine. It was closest to a frozen sangria, making it juicy, sweet, and refreshing. Freaujolais These drinks were all really refreshing and delicious, but we definitely preferred the Spiced Pear and Frozen Cocoa. They are really great additions for the time of year, and we will crave those spices all season. Pair this flight with the Basket’s amazing small bites, and we’ll be happy campers all day. 25. The continued government shutdown has been ongoing since October 1st, 2025. At the time of writing, there isn’t a clear end in sight, and it’s impacting travel already. Orlando International Airport Not only could this impact your trip to Disney World, but it could also impact travel almost anywhere within the United States if you’re flying. According to the Orlando Sentinel, TSA workers are ‘stretching every dollar’ as the shutdown continues, and it could cause major problems at the airport. The ongoing government shutdown could lead to issues at the airport. U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said, “I can’t guarantee you that your flight’s going to be on time. I can’t guarantee that your flight’s not going to be canceled. It’s going to depend on our air traffic controllers coming in to work every single day.” MCO Airport The concern that airport controllers won’t come to work derives from the lack of pay due to the government shutdown. TSA employees will miss their first full paycheck this weekend, and only received a partial paycheck earlier this month. The continued financial burden on these employees, as well as the upcoming holiday travel stress, has many concerned about airport travel. TSA lines at MCO A MCO, there haven’t been an overwhelming amount of delays or cancellations. On Friday, October 24th, there have been 25 delays and 3 cancellations, which isn’t out of the ordinary for the busy airport. The aviation authority has confirmed there are contingency plans in place if there is a dramatic decrease in TSA agents due to the lack of pay. Orlando International Airport It’s important to note that federal employees are legally prohibited from striking against the U.S. government. That being said, during the 35-day shutdown in 2019, roughly 10% of TSA workers called in sick, triple the normal rate. In fact, the idea of a “travel gridlock” is what put pressure on lawmakers to reach a deal in 2019 and reopen the government. Orlando Sanford International Airport Union leaders have shared that Transportation Security Administration workers at MCO are experiencing financial strains due to the continued shutdown. Some have even turned to food pantries or families to make ends meet, according to Candise Isla, executive vice president of the American Federation of Government Employees Local 556. MCO Airport Security Isla continued to say this situation forces the airport to staff security checkpoints without paying the agents, as they are “juggling rent, bills, childcare, and car payments.” The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority held a food drive for airport staff who are working without pay to help ease their financial burdens as the shutdown continues. Isla also said that despite the financial issues, TSA workers are committed to their jobs and will continue to show up to work. “Their dedication to maintaining the safety and security of the traveling public has not wavered,” she said. Orlando International Airport They also shared that some travelers have tried to give food and other items directly to TSA workers, but donations need to be dropped off at specific sites at two local airports. October 24th, 2025, is the last day to donate and nonperishable items, and $10 gift cards from grocers like Publix, Walmart, or Target will be accepted from 9 AM to 2 PM at the Orlando International Airport’s Terminal C departures lane or the Orlando Executive Airport’s administration offices, on 365 Rickenbacker Drive. Orlando Airport While the shutdown hasn’t massively impacted flights or security time, be sure to stay up to date on the latest news regarding your flight. You can sign up for alerts directly from your airline, and some airports, like MCO, show an estimated security wait time on their websites. Be sure to keep following DFB for more news and updates.
