  1. If you’re heading to EPCOT this week, you’ll notice a big change on one of the park’s most popular attractions. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure Disney has confirmed that Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is closed starting today, November 10th, through November 13th for a quick refurbishment, and yes, that means it’s also temporarily gone from the Lightning Lane lineup. The ride will reopen on November 14th with a major update to its experience. Here’s what’s going on, why the closure is happening now, and how it’ll impact your EPCOT plans over the next few days. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure Goes 2D If you’ve ever taken a spin through Gusteau’s kitchen in the France Pavilion, you know Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is one of the busiest attractions in EPCOT and one of the few that uses 3D glasses. But that’s about to change. Hey, Remy! Disney has officially confirmed that when the attraction reopens on November 14th, it’ll do so without those 3D glasses. The ride is being converted to a 2D projection-based experience, similar to what’s currently being done at the original Disneyland Paris version of the ride. No more 3D This means the entire attraction will be getting a bit of a refresh. Guests won’t need to grab glasses before boarding, and Disney will likely use upgraded projection and lighting technology to keep the visuals just as immersive. The 3D-to-2D shift is expected to streamline the experience and could even speed up the loading process a little since guests will no longer need to grab and return their glasses. What’s Changing During the Refurbishment The three-day closure, running from November 10th through November 13th, will be short but meaningful. According to Disney, the current work is focused mainly on switching over to the new 2D system. However, this isn’t the only update planned for the ride. Over the coming months, Disney has said that new props and lighting will be added to the queue and attraction, enhancing the overall storytelling. So while you might not see a completely transformed attraction when it reopens next week, expect to notice gradual improvements in the near future. Ride Vehicle Disney hasn’t specified exactly what those updates will look like, but if we take cues from the upcoming refresh at Disneyland Paris, there’s reason to get excited. Over there, the Parisian version is getting technical upgrades, scenic enhancements, and an expanded queue featuring a brand-new scene set in a Parisian artist’s studio, complete with paint-splattered walls, colorful canvases, and maybe even a few hidden rats sneaking a snack from a fruit basket. ©Disney Disney hasn’t confirmed whether that specific scene will make its way to EPCOT, but it does sound like the Imagineers are taking inspiration from those improvements. What This Means for Lightning Lane Users Because Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is temporarily closed, it will also not appear as a Lightning Lane option on the My Disney Experience app during this period. So if you were hoping to book it for your EPCOT visit between now and November 13th, you won’t see it available for selection. Lightning Lane at Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in EPCOT That said, once the ride reopens on November 14th, it’s expected to return to its regular Lightning Lane rotation. Historically, Remy’s has been one of the most in-demand attractions in EPCOT, so expect those return times to fill up quickly once it’s back online. The line for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure If you’re visiting EPCOT during this short downtime, it might be a great time to shift your focus to other popular rides like Frozen Ever After, Soarin’ Around the World, or Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. These attractions tend to absorb the extra crowds when a major headliner is closed, so be sure to plan your day accordingly and keep an eye on the app for fluctuating wait times. Why the Change Makes Sense Switching from 3D to 2D might sound like a downgrade, but in reality, this kind of change often results in a cleaner, crisper visual experience. Without the 3D glasses, guests can enjoy the attraction without the occasional blur or glare that comes with 3D projection. It also simplifies maintenance and streamlines operations, meaning fewer things that can go wrong mid-ride. Anyone can cook! And if the updates in Paris are any indication, we could see an even more detailed and immersive version of the attraction rolling out at EPCOT over time. Disney seems committed to enhancing the storytelling and visuals of this fan-favorite ride, even if the updates arrive in phases. ©Disneyland Paris || Walt Disney Studios Park We’ll be keeping a close eye on its reopening next week to see exactly what’s changed and if any of those Paris updates sneak their way into EPCOT’s version too. 2. As the U.S. Marine Corps celebrates 250 years of service on Nov. 10, The Walt Disney Company reflects on its shared heritage of nearly 80 years of support for the Marine Corps Reserve’s annual Toys for Tots campaign. A Tradition Rooted in Service U.S. military service members and veterans have been connected to The Walt Disney Company for more than a century. Honoring their service is a core value dating back to founders Walt and Roy Oliver Disney, whose support has shaped Disney’s legacy. Roy O. Disney, who co-founded The Walt Disney Company with his brother Walt, served in the U.S. Navy during World War I. Although Walt was too young to join the military, he volunteered as a chauffeur and ambulance driver for the American Red Cross Ambulance Corps. Their dedication to service influenced the company’s culture, which was further shaped by veterans who contributed to Disney animation and played a role in creating Disneyland and later Disney Parks. The tradition of honoring veterans and military service continues today in many ways including Disney commemorating the 250th anniversaries of the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy in 2025 – a milestone year for America’s Armed Forces and reflecting Disney’s enduring admiration to those who serve in uniform and their families. Honoring Service through Art During World War II, The Walt Disney Studios played a unique role in supporting the war effort in several ways including creating military films and designing more than 1,200 custom unit insignia for U.S. Armed Forces and related auxiliary groups. These designs — featuring characters like the U.S. Navy’s ‘Seabee,’ and later, the U.S. Army’s ‘Rocky the Bulldog’ — became cherished symbols of pride and connection for troops serving at home and abroad. But one of Disney’s most enduring contributions came about after Marine Corps Reserve Major Bill Hendricks envisioned a program dedicated to bringing joy to children in need through the donation of toys. Walt Disney responded with creativity and heart, sparking a nearly 80-year collaboration between The Walt Disney Company and Toys for Tots. A Train of Generosity Founded in 1947 in Los Angeles, Toys for Tots began as a local initiative to bring holiday joy to children in need. In 1948, the program was formalized and expanded into a national community action project, and Walt Disney assigned his studio artists to create designs that would help drive awareness for the campaign. Over the years, this would include the now-iconic red cartoon train logo, which remains the symbol of the program today. © Disney Disney artists also created national campaign posters for Toys for Tots, and over the years, these annual Christmas posters have featured beloved characters like Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and others, helping to spread the message of giving across generations. © Disney As noted in the 2018 Disney Editions book From All of Us to All of You by author and historian Jeff Kurtti, “Throughout the years, Walt continued to support Toys for Tots, participating in public service advertising and helping the message of giving reach millions of U.S. citizens.” 1978 artwork by Disney Legend Bob Moore. Walt Disney Productions Illustration. © 1978 Disney When Disneyland opened in 1955, the park itself became a Toys for Tots drop-off location, providing guests the opportunity to help make the holiday season brighter for children in need. Today, business units such as Disney Channel and ABC continue media and messaging support for the program during the holiday season. Full Steam Ahead: A Tradition That Keeps on Track U.S. Marines celebrate Disney’s Ultimate Toy Drive at Magic Kingdom, Dec. 11, 2024. Today, Disney continues to support Toys for Tots as part of its beloved holiday traditions, most notably through the Disney Ultimate Toy Drive. This initiative is dedicated to creating moments of happiness and joy for children and families in need during the holiday season. Last year’s Disney Ultimate Toy Drive was the biggest yet, breaking company records with the collection of more than half a million toys for children in need. These incredible results were made possible thanks to contributions from Disney, as well as fans, families and cast members from coast-to-coast. Mickey Mouse joins Disney VoluntEARS and U.S. Marines at Magic Kingdom to celebrate Disney’s Ultimate Toy Drive, Dec. 11, 2024. The legacy of Walt’s generosity emphasizes that even the smallest gift can make a big difference. His enduring salute to military service continues to inspire Disney’s commitment to supporting veterans, active-duty service members and their families across communities all year round. Next Stop: VoluntEARS Spread Holiday Cheer While The Walt Disney Company supports charitable giving throughout the year, the holiday season offers a special chance to share Disney magic with those who need it most. In addition to Disney’s Ultimate Toy Drive benefiting Toys for Tots, the company gives back in meaningful ways as the season begins. Disney is expanding its longstanding relationship with Blue Star Families through a $2.5 million donation to help strengthen military families across the country. As part of this, Disney and Blue Star Families will continue to create unique events and experiences, including a special celebration marking our 25th “Blue Star Books” event, which brings military families together through the joy of reading and play. Blue Star Families-Celebration Just days later on Nov. 3, Walt Disney World VoluntEARS continued a cherished tradition at Fisher House Orlando, decorating for the holidays and creating a welcoming home-away-from-home for families whose loved ones receive critical medical care. On Nov. 5, VoluntEARS at Disneyland Resort also partnered with the USO to create 2,000 care kits for deployed U.S. military service members. 6. Okay, so there’s a bar in Disney World that’s pretty popular with a lot of celebrities. That bar is La Cava del Tequila at the Mexico Pavilion in EPCOT. For example, Neil Patrick Harris frequents this bar so much that he has his own drink AND table. La Cava del Tequila We’ve also seen the stars of Breaking Bad at La Cava. Model Lily Aldridge designed her own drink for the bar. Well, now, La Cava del Tequila is teasing something with ANOTHER celebrity, and we have no idea what it means (but whatever it is, we’re buying). We follow La Cava del Tequila on Instagram, and the bar recently posted a photo of Disney celebrity Jordan Fisher (yep, one of the voices of Happily Ever After) with a La Cava del Tequila tote bag. Now, we haven’t seen a photo of Fisher at La Cava, and we haven’t seen this tote bag before. The caption for the photo was pretty vague, though. It just said, “In rehearsals…you’re gonna want to be front-row for this one. ” ©La Cava del Tequila via Instagram What rehearsals? What are the rehearsals for? What do we want to be in the front row for? Is this promoting some kind of collaboration between Fisher and La Cava del Tequila? Or is this just a promo for new La Cava del Tequila merchandise? We don’t know…but we NEED to know. La Cava Del Tequila The comments are full of people trying to figure out the enigmatic post, too. One thing is for certain…a lot of folks want that tote, which makes us think this might be a promo for some new La Cava merchandise. Fisher is currently working the boards on Broadway (and if you haven’t seen the clips of him in Hadestown, you are missing out). Most recently, he starred as Christian in Moulin Rouge for a limited engagement. We guess we won’t know what this is all about until La Cava del Tequila is ready to tell us. Until then, we’re…”ready to begin…” Stay tuned to DFB for more. 7. Disney trips are full of magic, fun, and… a surprising lack of outlets and sleep-friendly quiet. MultiCharger for MagicBand+ Whether you’re staying at a Value Resort, a Deluxe Villa, or somewhere in between, there are a few hotel essentials we truly wish we had bought sooner. These items made our stay more comfortable, more organized, and honestly, a lot less chaotic. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. Dreamegg Portable Travel White Noise Machine Dreamegg Portable Travel White Noise Machine If you’ve ever tried to fall asleep at your Disney World hotel after a long day in the parks, you probably know how not quiet it can be. Between hallway noise, kids still hyped up from fireworks, and the sound of the occasional late-night toilet flush next door, sleep can be tricky. Enter: the Dreamegg Portable Travel White Noise Machine. Dreamegg Portable Travel White Noise Machine This little gadget is tiny — like, literally egg-sized at just 1.6 ounces — but don’t underestimate it. It packs a serious punch when it comes to blocking out noise. With 16 different sound options, from ocean waves and rainfall to fan sounds and white noise, it’s perfect for customizing your sleep environment no matter where you are. Plus, it has 35 volume settings and a 1000mAh battery that easily lasts multiple nights on a single charge. Dreamegg Portable Travel White Noise Machine We’ll be honest, we were skeptics at first. But after using it for a few nights? Total game-changer. The difference in sleep quality was immediate. The first morning after using it, we woke up feeling rested for the first time mid-trip. Even the kids were into it, so much so that they asked to use it again the next night. Dreamegg Portable Travel White Noise Machine Our favorite features: The size, battery life, and versatility of sounds. We also love that it uses a USB-C charger (the same as most modern phones), so you don’t need to pack an extra cord. Dreamegg Portable Travel White Noise Machine Minor drawback: The buttons can be a little stiff if you have long nails, but honestly, that’s being a bit picky. Would we buy it again? Absolutely. In fact, this is one of those small, affordable items we’ll now gift to everyone, new parents, travelers, college students, you name it. For around $15, it’s easily one of the best travel buys we’ve found in a long time. Did it make our trip better? 100% yes. Especially at Value Resorts where the walls can be a bit thinner. View on SALE 3-in-1 Charging Station for Apple Multiple Devices Charging Station The truth is that Disney hotel rooms could stand to have more outlets. Between phones, iPads, Apple Watches, and AirPods, it starts to look like a tech charging circus by the end of the day. That’s why we’re obsessed with this 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Station for Apple Devices, and we wish we had bought it years ago. Charging Station For just around $22, this sleek, foldable charger can power your iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods simultaneously. It’s also super compact and folds into itself, so it takes up almost no space in your luggage. The magnetic alignment is strong, so you don’t have to worry about your phone slipping off in the middle of the night, and it even has a small blue indicator light to show when each device is properly charging. Charging Station We also discovered a bonus feature: the AirPods pad can charge an iPad, too! So if you’re traveling with the family and need to rotate devices, this little gadget more than keeps up. Charging Station Our favorite features: It reduces cable clutter in the hotel room, charges everything overnight, and is durable despite being so lightweight. Plus, it doubles as a phone stand which is perfect for watching a show or FaceTiming friends while winding down at night. Charging Station Biggest pro: All the charging “pucks” can charge different devices if they’re MagSafe compatible, which makes it incredibly flexible. Minor drawback: The watch charging puck is fixed in the middle, so the layout can’t be rearranged, but that’s a small trade-off for everything it does right. Charging Station Would we buy it again? Absolutely. It’s one of those rare items that does exactly what it promises, and it made our small hotel room feel instantly less cluttered. Did it make our trip easier? Totally. Waking up to fully charged devices (without fighting over outlets) felt like a luxury. View on SALE MultiCharger for MagicBand+ MultiCharger for MagicBand+ If your family uses MagicBand+, you already know the struggle: they need to be charged daily, and those cute little chargers that come with each band? 9. If you fired up Disney+ this weekend, maybe to watch your favorite Disney movie, Star Wars show, or perhaps to catch up on Only Murders In The Building on Hulu, you might have noticed that something BIG has changed. ©Disney The Disney+ app has changed! Ahead of Disney+ absorbing Hulu, we guess Disney decided some app updates were in order. So don’t be surprised if your Disney+ looks a little different. Let’s talk about these updates, though. Disney+ has made some big changes to its app, which are starting to roll out to users RIGHT NOW. Once you get the update, you’ll notice that the home page looks a lot different. The biggest change is a new horizontal navigation bar with separate tabs for “For You,” Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN. Disney is promising more personalized recommendations, too, based on what you’ve watched in the past. ©Disney The new app interface also makes it easier to switch profiles, so that your kids can have their kids-appropriate programming on their profile, and adult content is for adult profiles. Disney dropped a video showcasing these new changes. This new app design is part of Disney’s plan to completely bring Hulu into Disney+ in 2026. Once Hulu’s content merges with Disney+, we’re not sure if the Hulu tab will remain in the app or if all the programming will just get folded into the regular Disney+ programming on the app. Hulu + Live TV will eventually merge with Fubo, too, creating a Live TV experience that could rival YouTube TV, which Disney is currently in a dispute with over a carriage agreement (which is also why Disney has pulled its content from YouTube TV). We’ll be keeping an eye out for more Disney+ updates, so stay tuned to DFB for more. FULL LIST Of Everything Coming To Disney+ This Month! 11. Disney’s Animal Kingdom is getting a brand new land, and as a result, we’ve seen the phased closure of DinoLand U.S.A., with the entire land set to close in February 2026. Looking forward, though, we can’t wait to see Pueblo Esperanza (that’s the new land), as well as ride its attractions. ©Disney Well, one of those attractions will be an Encanto-themed ride (and unlike Bruno, we are going to SO talk about it). Now, we’ve seen a model of the ride, as well as concept art, but now we have a full aerial view of the ride’s construction…and y’all, it is HUGE. The Encanto ride will be inside the Casita, the house where the Madrigal family lives. It will take place after Antonio has received his gift (he can talk to animals), and his room has transformed into a rainforest. You’ll get to go on a journey through the Casita, meeting other members of the Madrigal family along the way. Model of the Encanto ride Well, the ride itself will be WAY bigger on the inside (Disney rides are a lot like the TARDIS in that way), and now we know just HOW big thanks to some new aerial photos by @bioreconstruct. Here’s an aerial view of the Encanto ride’s construction site. SEE? It’s MASSIVE. ©bioreconstruct Here’s another view of the ride’s construction from a different angle. The scope of this ride is blowing our minds! That structure in the middle may be where the exterior of the Casita will go. ©bioreconstruct In comparison, here’s the concept art for the ride’s exterior. ©Disney Another photo shows where concrete was recently poured into the site. ©bioreconstruct We’re not sure exactly what kind of ride this will be. From the concept art, it looks like it could be a trackless ride like Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, or Rise of the Resistance. But it could also be a boat ride, which would work well, too! ©Disney We’ll be keeping an eye out for more updates about this ride and Pueblo Esperanza, so stay tuned to DFB for more. 5 Cringey Things That Make Me Rethink Walking Into Animal Kingdom Ever Again Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! 12. Right now, it seems like you can’t sneeze without hitting a construction wall in Disney World. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Multiple rides are under refurbishment, like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin. On top of that, entire lands (or sections of them) are closed in Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom, and Animal Kingdom. Walls EVERYWHERE! But Disney World has been employing a sneaky tactic to stop us from noticing those pesky walls. One of the biggest ways that Disney distracts from major construction projects is by adding more pop-up entertainment offerings into the parks. In particular, this includes streetmosphere like bands and roaming characters. So where can you find some of these things right now? Let’s take a look! Animal Kingdom At Animal Kingdom, DinoLand, U.S.A. is going through a pretty major overhaul to become Pueblo Esperanza, so most of the land is shut down right now. To help alleviate some of those crowds and provide an alternate source of entertainment, we noticed a new addition — Eco-Rhythmics. Eco-Rhythmics This group of percussionists has a recycling-inspired setup with bright drum sets made of reusable materials. During the DinoLand construction, we’ve seen their floats parked in a few different areas, usually in front of one of the construction walls. They’re a really upbeat addition to a land that’s missing quite a bit right now. Every Disney World Change I’m Not Prepared for in 2026 Hollywood Studios At Hollywood Studios, the latest addition is the Hollygrooves Swingin’ Band, which you can find in the area near Center Stage or Dockside Diner. We’ve seen them joined by Disney characters occasionally! They’re a brass-forward band that plays a wide variety of tunes. Hollygrooves Swingin’ Band Sometimes they’re performing old-school Hollywood songs, while other times they’re mixing things up with pop or R&B. You can see these guys swapping sets back and forth with The Record Setters, a group of performers who juggle and do physical stunts mixed with comedy. These acts help fill the gap left by the closures in Muppets Courtyard and Animation Courtyard. Click Here to See What Disney World Is Opening in 2026 Magic Kingdom In Magic Kingdom, a new streetmosphere act was added shortly after the closure of Tom Sawyer Island and the Liberty Square Riverboat to help fill out Frontierland. Nola’s 8th Note now performs throughout the land, from the area near Big Thunder Mountain Railroad all the way to The Diamond Horseshoe. Nola’s 8th Note This act plays some New Orleans favorites with a brass band and live singer. Along the way, you may even hear some fun tales from the Grand Marshal. An excellent complement to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, if you ask us! Click Here to See Map Updates That Show Changes in Magic Kingdom! As you see, Disney is the master of redirection. You’re not paying attention to the big khaki construction wall if there’s a fun and lively entertainment option standing in front of it! Stay tuned to DFB for more Disney World updates. 13. Whew. That was a long couple of months without Dame Judi Dench telling us to “thank the Phoenicians!” Disney shut down Spaceship Earth in EPCOT for a couple of months of refurbishment (and no, it wasn’t the ride overhaul we’ve been promised for literal years now). Spaceship Earth When a ride closes like this in Disney World, many of the changes are not noticeable when it reopens, because they are doing routine maintenance on machinery, refreshing paint, and sometimes updating technology. But you, DFB readers, you’re a different breed — you even noticed a change in the smells on the ride! Really, Spaceship Earth just closed to get a bit of routine maintenance. However, that phrase tends to be pretty vague and can cover a wide variety of updates. When we rode, we noticed the ride has been mildly refreshed, and some of the animatronics move more fluidly. When we posted about the ride reopening early on Facebook, some of our followers chimed in to tell us what they noticed! Lines at the soft reopening What Has Changed Robin Perry noticed an adjustment to the smells on the ride, “Rome was burning, but it didn’t seem as strongly scented.” OK, Robin! Spaceship Earth Jamie Foster shared, “There were animatronics that either didn’t speak before that do now, or the volume was turned up on them. There’s a whole scene with the boat rocking that now moves where it didn’t before, lighting updated, fresh paint on the outside mural.” Cast Members told us many of the updates were to animatronics, and the sound is definitely adjusted! Spaceship Earth Corey Trimpey and Brian Clarke noticed the ride is, well…cleaner. Corey said, “CM told my wife that the mammoth scene was updated to HD and they washed the animatronic clothes.” And Brian noticed less dust — “looked like they cleaned the dust from the walls.” And then there’s the mystery of the newspaper boy yelling, “Extra, Extra!” Lisa Stassun thought he was missing from the ride, but he’s still there. He’s just not as noticeable. As Heather Wilcox pointed out, “there isn’t a spotlight on him anymore.” (Why DOES he face away from the ride, anyway? Some people say people on the ride could touch him so they turned him, some say his face is missing…the world may never know.) Things That Stayed the Same But don’t worry, Spaceship Earth fans, the essence of the ride is still the same! Michael Battles said, “My favorite foxy IT worker is still there.” John Beres said she better still be there — “As long as BOOTS are still there I’m good.” And Victoria Charlotte said, “oh she’s my favourite.” I love her, too! Our favorite scientist! The storyline and narration of the ride are the same, as are the animatronics. Way back in 2019, Disney had announced an overhaul of Spaceship Earth’s storyline, but that project has been on hold for several years so that Disney could focus on other parts of the EPCOT transformation. Spaceship Earth Johnny Driver (fitting name!) told our followers, “They sped it up to 50mph.” Funny, Johnny, but I’ve gotta say I’m thankful that was a joke. That pic at the end would be of my face in a barf bag. If Spaceship Earth is a must-do for you, make sure to ride it during your next trip and come back and tell us what differences you noticed! 14. If you’ve subscribed to YouTube TV, you’ve probably noticed that you can no longer watch Disney content on the live TV service. That’s because there’s an ongoing dispute between Disney and Google over that content appearing on YouTube TV. ©YouTube TV Disney removed its content from YouTube TV several weeks ago, after the two companies failed to reach a new carriage agreement on October 30th. That includes ESPN, ABC, Disney Channel, FX, National Geographic, and Freeform. As it stands, Disney content is still not available on YouTube TV. So the latest update is that there is no update, but something interesting is happening as a result of Disney withholding its content. According to Business Insider, Apptopia recently ran an analysis to see the number of YouTube TV users who also use other apps that carry ESPN. The analysis also looked at Sling TV and DirecTV, as well as streamers owned or controlled by Disney, including Fubo, ESPN, and Hulu. ©ESPN The data shows that the percentage change in usage of Sling TV, Fubo, and DirectTV apps by YouTube TV subscribers went up 35% each night after Disney pulled its content from YouTube TV. Meanwhile, users were also turning to the NFL and ESPN apps in smaller percentages. Hulu, though, didn’t show any change, but Hulu + Live TV has far fewer subscribers than standard Hulu. ©Fubo The data only included mobile apps, though, but it’s still a good indication that sports viewers, in particular, have found other ways to watch live sports content on other streaming services. In the meantime, Disney content is also available via Disney+ and its bundles. ©Disney In the meantime, both Disney and YouTube TV are probably going to lose a lot of money because of the blackout. YouTube TV is currently offering its subscribers a $20 credit during the blackout, while Disney is losing money every day its channels aren’t on YouTube TV. For now, though, the dispute continues, so we’ll be keeping an eye out for more updates. Stay tuned to DFB for more. FULL LIST Of Everything Coming To Disney+ This Month! 15. It is officially the holiday season at Disney World. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party kicked off in Magic Kingdom last night, on November 7th. Now it is time for the start of Disney Jollywood Nights! We are at the first event of the season, and we are bringing you all the details about what to expect and whether this event is worth the money this year. Jollywood Nights The streets were decked out in festive decor, twinkling lights shone bright, Gertie showed off her Santa hat, and we tried out everything that Jollywood Nights has to offer. Should you spend the money to attend this special holiday event? We are here to help you decide if the event is worth the price tag. Disney Jollywood Nights is a separately ticketed event that happens on select nights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The holiday event features plenty of festive fun! Throughout the night, you can enjoy a variety of entertainment offerings, specialty food and drink items, shorter waits for select attractions, special character meet-and-greets, and more! But the question is: Is it worth the price tag? We’re here! Jollywood Nights takes place on select nights from November 8th through December 22nd, 2025. In total, there are 13 event nights happening this year. Tickets range in price from $159 to $199, depending on the date. In comparison, tickets to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in Magic Kingdom cost between $169 and $229, depending on the night. So while Jollywood Nights is slightly cheaper, both events cost quite a bit. Welcome to Jollywood Nights! The event runs from 7:30 PM to 12:30 AM; however, with a Jollywood Nights ticket, you can enter Disney’s Hollywood Studios as early as 5:30 PM. So, if you arrive as soon as you can enter, you’ll get 7 hours inside the park. You can get a lot done in 7 hours! Once the clock strikes 7:30 PM, you can start to take advantage of the exclusive party offerings. Mickey! To start, Jollywood Nights offers a lot of exclusive entertainment. You can watch international champion skaters in Glisten — A Skating Spectacular and enjoy a variety show hosted by Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy called Holidays in Hollywood. You can also sing along during the What’s This? Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along and watch the Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! fireworks spectacular. Glisten! Additionally, you can head over to the courtyard of The Hollywood Tower Hotel to enjoy the Twilight Soirée at the Tip Top Club. There is also an Echo Lake Holiday Celebration, a Pixar Disco, and the Holiday Fiesta en la Calle. The Tip Top Club has such a great ambiance, and we loved seeing all the characters! Twilight Soiree There are also lots of opportunities to meet rare characters, including a few new ones this year! New to the event this year are Chewbacca, Partysaurus Rex, Bing Bong, and Miguel. You will also be able to meet returning characters such as Baloo, Lotso, Mike Wazowski, Scrooge McDuck, Bo Peep, Phineas and Ferb, Max Goof as Powerline, Santa Stitch, Santa Duffy, and many more. There are more than 25 characters you can meet during the night. If you like characters, Jollywood Nights has PLENTY of opportunities to meet rare ones. Our friend Bing Bong! The event also features a variety of themed food and drinks for purchase. We always love trying out all the new themed food and drink. There are plenty of exclusive items, too — you could probably spend the whole evening just trying the food. You can also make reservations for Jazzy Holidays at The Hollywood Brown Derby, a sit-down experience featuring live jazz music. Peppermint Schnapps Sipping Chocolate at Jazzy Holidays Additionally, you can shop for a variety of event-exclusive merchandise. The merchandise is available only to Jollywood Nights attendees, so make sure you shop while you are at the event. You will spot Ollie the Gingerbread Man on a lot of the merchandise, including a spirit jersey, an ear headband, a Loungefly Bag, a mug, and an ornament. We think this merchandise is such a great keepsake to remember the evening at Jollywood Nights! Ollie Loungefly You can also take advantage of low wait times for select attractions in the park. The following attractions are expected to be available: Slinky Dog Dash, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. As well, you can also stop by and watch Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After or The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure. Tower of Terror Plus, photo downloads are included with your party ticket. You can get as many photos taken as you want during the party, and download them ALL for FREE! Definitely take advantage of the free photo downloads; a picture is worth a thousand words, after all, right? Don’t forget to grab those photo ops! When Jollywood Nights debuted a few years ago, it was obvious it was new and needed to find its way. The party greatly improved last year, though, and this year, it was even better. We hate to compare it to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, but Jollywood Nights is now a major contender for holiday events in Disney World. The entertainment is also top-notch, and if you’re looking for a party that feels a little more Hollywood, Jollywood Nights may be the ticket to get this year. It’s Belle in her holiday gown! There is definitely a lot to enjoy at Jollywood Nights, but is it worth spending up to $199 for it? While we wish we could provide you with a definite yes or no answer, it really depends. It depends on what you and your family want to experience and how much you are willing to spend. You probably won’t be able to get everything offered at Jollywood Nights done during the event, but are the things you could get done worth it to you? Phineas and Ferb There are lots and lots of entertainment offerings, all of which you would not be able to see during normal hours. You can also meet rare characters, try out new foods, and pick up exclusive merchandise. Additionally, wait times for the attractions were low, so you could ride your favorites. Chewbacca in his Life Day robes While we enjoyed our time at Jollywood Nights, we also don’t think this event will be for everyone. Consider all the offerings and decide whether this event is best for your family! Also, consider Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, or just purchasing a day ticket to one of the parks. Only you will know the best choice for your family. Stay tuned to DFB for full coverage of the holiday season and all your Disney World news! 16. 2026 hasn’t even started yet, and yet Disney World’s calendar is already chock-full of dates that anyone planning a trip to the “Most Magical Place on Earth” needs to know! Look at the colors… From ride openings (and reopenings) and closings, iconic character arrivals, and planning for annual events, 2026 is shaping up to be one of the busiest at Walt Disney World in the near-decade that I’ve been covering Disney theme parks. February 2026: DinoLand Goes Extinct February 2nd will see the end of the “phased closure” of DinoLand U.S.A., with everything left – including the Animal Kingdom opening day attraction Dinosaur – closing forever to make way for the final phase of Tropical Americas to begin. DINOSAUR April 2026: Food & Wine Dates April generally sees the confirmation of dates for EPCOT’s International Food & Wine Festival late in the year. In other words, if you’re planning to attend EPCOT’s premier festival in 2026, you’ll need to keep an eye on DFB in April to be on top of WHEN you’ll be heading to Florida. (Though we will note, this might stretch into May, so be prepared to possibly check for a few extra days). Frozen Rose at the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival May 2026: Mando, Grogu, and Mickey: OH MY! First of all, May of 2026 is guaranteed to see a major change at Hollywood Studios when the titular characters of The Mandalorian and Grogu debut as part of a (some would argue much-needed) revamp of Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run in Galaxy’s Edge. This new adventure will also feature several Star Wars environments, including Bespin, the wreckage of the second Death Star around Endor, and Coruscant. New missions will be added to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers run in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort, featuring the Mandalorian and Grogu. In addition, history tells us that sometime in May will ALSO see the release of the 2026 dates for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. So if you’re planning a spooky season trip to Walt Disney World, keep an eye out for dates in the spring. Magic Kingdom at night during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party June 2026: “Wocka Wonka Rock ’n’ Roll!” So, this one is a bit of a cheat. We know that SOMETIME in the summer of 2026, the Muppet-ized version of the Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster is scheduled to debut at Hollywood Studios. Now, technically, summer could cover July or August as well, but judging by previous years, we would think June, ©Disney July 2026: Start Getting Jolly When it comes to Christmas in July, Disney tends to take the term to heart. The 7th month of the year generally sees dates announced for that year’s Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party event. ©Disney In addition to all this, several other major events are scheduled to happen sometime in 2026, though Disney hasn’t publicly confirmed more in-depth timelines yet. These include the respective reopenings of the refurbished Big Thunder Mountain Railroad… ©Disney … and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin at the Magic Kingdom… ©Disney … as well as the debut of the new version of The Magic of Disney Animation over at Hollywood Studios. ©Disney If you’re planning a 2026 trip to Walt Disney World, keep these dates in mind when planning. 20. First launched in 2023, Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios has become one of Disney World’s most popular Holiday events. It’s time for Jollywood Nights! The after-hours event features Christmas decor, characters in their Holiday best (including Chewbacca celebrating Life Day!), entertainment offerings, including The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along, jazz music at the Hollywood Brown Derby, and the Jingle Bell, Jingle JAM! nighttime spectacular, and the Kermit and Miss Piggy-hosted Disney Holidays in Hollywood, merchandise, and — of course- – SNACKS! Market First up was the Mike-aroon, a toasted coconut cookie with green white chocolate and topped with a sugar eye for $5.29. Mike-aroon You’ve gotta really love coconut to enjoy this one, but if you do, you’ll be a big fan. The frosting and butterscotch chips make the flavors fun, especially for kids, but they may not be a fan of the actual texture. Mike himself loved it! The Bing Bong Candy Lemonade is a frozen strawberry lemonade slushy and butterfly pea flower tea topped with pink cotton candy and freeze-dried candy for $6.99. Bing Bong Candy Lemonade This is like a slushy-fied, hyped up version of a strawberry lemonade in the best way, and those freeze-dried Skittles really bring a fun texture into the mix. It does melt pretty quick towards the bottom, though, so be ready! If you love strawberry lemonade, grab this! We also grabbed the Caramel-Apple Cider for $5.29. This definitely has that caramel apple taste to it, and due to that addition, it’s a little thicker than your normal apple cider. While the caramel popcorn on top does get a little softer due to the steam of the drink, it’s still super solid. You can also get this with moonshine added in there if you’d like, for an additional price. Caramel-Apple Cider We could totally see this spot going unnoticed during the party, but we’re here to tell you that it’s TOTALLY worth stopping by! Hollywood Scoops Two of the most picturesque items this year are both at Hollywood Scoops. The Kermit Mint Whirl is $9.79, and is Green apple boba pearls and white chocolate cheesecake topped with mint chocolate chip ice cream and green M&M’S Milk Chocolate candies. Then, you’ve got the Miss Piggy Strawberry Glam for $9.79 as well, which is made with Strawberry boba pearls and strawberry cheesecake topped with chocolate pearls, strawberry ice cream, and pink M&M’S Milk Chocolate candies. We’re OBSESSED Both of these are served in souvenir cups, and while we love how they look, we’ve never had ice cream on top of cheesecake before…and we don’t really want to again. You’d go into a bite expecting it to be ice cream and would get cheesecake, or vice versa, and while the ice cream is quality hand-scooped ice cream and the cheesecake is also nice and creamy, we just think it’s a little off-putting. These are interesting The boba was really interesting texture-wise, but the flavors didn’t really mix, especially with the Kermit one, because it’s mostly mint, and then suddenly you get green apple. If you’re a big fan of the Muppets and you want the souvenir cup, go for it, but we don’t see these being the most popular otherwise. Backlot Express There’s a lot to experience here, starting with the Hickory Holiday Mac for $6.49, which is Macaroni & cheese with burnt ends, crispy onions, and chili pepper sauce. This one was very solid, though it does have some serious heat to it, so if you’re spice-adverse, you’ll want to stay away. The hickory flavor was slightly off-putting to us, as it was almost like barbecue, but without the sweetness. The mac and cheese itself was pretty average, nothing totally special, so part of us wished it had been baked, but it’s still a solid choice. Hickory Holiday Mac The Jolly Jam Slider is an Angus burger with bourbon-garlic-bacon jam, smoky paprika aïoli, and chili pepper sauce served on a Hawaiian roll for $6.29. The sauces here really sold it, and we did appreciate that the burger was a thicker Angus burger situation. It was a step up from Disney’s classic “meh” burgers, so if you want the flavor profile without getting something massive, this is the way to go. Jolly Jam Slider The Sleigh Bell Brussels Sprouts will cost you $4.79 and are made with bourbon-onion jam and crispy onions. These are very aromatic, and we did enjoy the sauce they’re tossed in, but they weren’t a huge standout to us. They’re pretty middle ground — they won’t let you down, but may not blow you away either. Sleigh Bell Brussels Sprouts One of the standouts to us was the Sweet Chili Cheer Chicken Slider for $5.79, which is Chicken thighs tossed in sweet chili aïoli, topped with Asian slaw and cilantro, served on a brioche roll. The sweet chili aïoli and Asian slaw really took things to the next level for us, and we loved that the pieces of chicken didn’t have a lot of fat on them. It reminded us of what you may have if you go to your cool aunt or uncle’s house for Christmas and they make a dish that’s not the norm, but just as delicious. Sweet Chili Cheer Chicken Slider For dessert, you can grab the Holly Jolly Bread Pudding, which is Warm bread pudding swirled with chocolate-hazelnut spread and topped with cherries, holiday sprinkles, and a chocolate gingerbread man for $5.49. A Cast Member told us that kids are LOVING this one, and while we enjoyed it too, we wished it had been a bit more gooey. We also would have loved a little more of a sweet icing as well as a cinnamon flavor, but we still think it’s a great choice for those wanting something sweet. Holly Jolly Bread Pudding To drink, you can grab the new Figgy Pudding Martini, which is Figenza Mediterranean Fig Flavored Vodka, fig jam, agave, half & half, ginger beer, and allspice, garnished with nutmeg for $9.50. Figgy Pudding Martini This had a lot of allspice and ginger beer flavor to it, and the latter was a little off-putting to us, so if you’re not a fan of ginger, you likely won’t be a fan of this one. However, we think for $9.50 it’s worth a try to see if it’s something you’ll really like. It takes you a few sips to decide how you really feel about it. If you want something more adventurous without paying an arm and a leg for it, this is a good choice! Ice Cold Hydraulics The Jolly Gingerbread Mini Churros, which are gingerbread churros with chocolate-hazelnut sauce and holiday sprinkles, can be yours for $5.29! Jolly Gingerbread Mini Churros These weren’t great, but they weren’t terrible either. The churros themselves are actually a level up from the normal churros we have in Disney World, but we do think the gingerbread on top could have balanced a bit better. It plays with your taste buds a bit, but while we liked the flavor of the hazelnut spread on top, we think it would have served better as a dipping sauce. Do we recommend them? Meh… Are they as great as Disneyland churros? Not by a long shot, of course, but if you’re passing by and find you’d like a festive churro treat, they’re not a bad choice! KRNR The Rock Station The Arepas de Choclo are sweet corn cakes with cheese, topped with cilantro aïoli and served with jícama slaw, and they’ll cost you $4.99. The arepa was wonderful — not at all intensely dry like the ones we’ve had in the past (although we do understand they’re supposed to be on the dry side). It was moist in the best way and had a great sweet corn flavor with a perfect amount of cheese. What really stood out to us was the sauce here, which was very garlic-forward, even though it was only listed as cilantro-aoili, which we found interesting. It was so good, we could have drunk it with a straw — we wholeheartedly recommend it unless you hate garlic or are on a first date and don’t want your breath to smell of, you know, garlic. Arepas de Choclo The Churro Sundae is available for $6.99 and is made with churros topped with vanilla soft-serve, spiced apples, and spiced chocolate sauce. The churros themselves weren’t anything out of this world, but since they were so thin, they stayed pretty crispy despite all the soft serve on top. Now, we were a little surprised because those spiced apples do have a kick to them! We thought it fit really well for this area of the party, but just beware if you’re not a fan of spice, and even with that, it may not be exactly what you were hoping for. Churro Sundae To drink, you can grab the Spiced Apple Sangria for $9.50, which is Fireball Cinnamon Whisky, red wine, apple cider, Minute Maid Orange Juice, and lemon and lime juices garnished with a star fruit chip. This totally tasted like a hot mulled wine, yet cold and refreshing. We also wouldn’t have been able to tell it was Fireball unless you told us — we would have guessed cinnamon syrup. It’s very fruity and didn’t have the burn that’s typically associated with Fireball. Spiced Apple Sangria Finally, you can snag the White Cranberry Margarita for $11, which is Teremana Blanco Tequila, Grand Marnier Liqueur, white cranberry juice, lime juice, and simple syrup with a sugar rim and cranberries. White Cranberry Margarita We had heard a lot of people say they really enjoyed this, but unfortunately, this was very tequila-forward rather than fruity like we were expecting, and it tasted like very CHEAP tequila. We’ll be honest here — we saw a LOT of people at the party who were giving us strong UK Pavilion-EPCOT vibes, and by that, we mean, people had had a good bit of alcohol, so it’s likely that that’s why this one was so popular. We only tasted a hint of cranberry, just mostly that cheap tequila, so unless you want a really strong drink, we suggest staying clear. Snack Cart on Sunset Boulevard The Blue Sparkling Cider, which features White cranberry juice, guava syrup, blue curaçao syrup, lime juice, and sparkling apple cider with a blue sugar rim and sugar snowflake (Non-alcoholic). Blue Sparkling Cider If blue raspberry were a cider, this would be it! The only difference between this one and the alcoholic version is that it comes in a different glass, and of course, there’s the addition of champagne in the alcoholic one. However, both have the zestiness of Mountain Dew, and are very much bubbly and sweet like a cider. Both versions are also the Annual Passholder exclusive drink this year, so you’ll need to have your AP and ID with you. Is it worth it? We’d say the alcoholic version is, if you’re not tired of drinks by the end of the night, but the non-alcoholic one isn’t anything special, so we don’t suggest going out of your way to grab it. Fairfax Faire To eat here, the Raspberry-Lemon Square is available for $4.99, which is Lemon filling topped with raspberry powdered sugar and glazed raspberries. While we wanted to love this one, you could get a better lemon square from your local coffee shop, and we don’t really think this one is worth the spend. The raspberry powder on top was more like a candy powder, which was unique on its own, but wasn’t enough to save the lemon bar. Raspberry-Lemon Square As for your drink, the Eggnog here is Traditional eggnog with caramel swirl for $5.29. Eggnogg This one is your classic eggnog, so while it’s not anything special, if you’re looking for eggnog, then you won’t want to miss this one! Tune-In Lounge We couldn’t resist trying the Holiday Dill-light for $11. This concoction features Hendrick’s Original Gin, John D. Taylor’s Velvet Falernum Liqueur, St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur, lime juice, pickle juice, chili-lime rim, and pickle garnish. Holiday Dill-light As our reporter is a big dill pickle fan, they really loved this, but, as you can guess, if you’re not a fan of pickles, this won’t be the drink for you, because it’s pickle through and through. Due to all the ingredients in here, we were fully expecting to dislike this one, but alas, it may be the best pickle cocktail our reporter has ever had! The different fruit juices added a sweetness to the pickle flavor that worked very well, especially since the acidity of the pickle is also different than the acidity of the lime. It reminded us more of a sweet bread and butter pickle taste, and we couldn’t recommend it more for pickle fans! Highly recommend! 21. We are having the BEST time at the opening night of Jollywood Nights in Hollywood Studios! Time to party! The hard-ticketed holiday event is back for 2025, and there’s more to do and see than ever before. We’re trying new snacks, meeting new characters, enjoying the atmosphere, and now, it’s time to check out some entertainment! So here’s a roundup of all the exclusive entertainment options available during the event. Disney Holidays in Hollywood One of the most iconic parts of Jollywood Nights is Disney Holidays in Hollywood, which takes place at the Beauty and the Beast — Live on Stage amphitheater on Sunset Boulevard. This show is a variety act of sorts, featuring several different Disney characters, and hosted by Kermit and Miss Piggy! Disney Holidays in Hollywood It was especially nice to see these characters again after Muppet*Vision 3D closed earlier this year! Now, we did see some issues with this show. Belle did her wonderful song, but then it was announced that the show was delayed and the house lights immediately came up. We did hear a rumor later on that the issue could have been a wardrobe malfunction, which is why it was able to come back up so quickly, because just a few minutes later, the show was back on! Kermit and Miss Piggy! Overall, this is a fantastic show and we think it’s a must-see at Jollywood Nights — don’t miss it! Holiday Fiesta en La Calle Ready to dance the night away? Head to Holiday Fiesta en la Calle near Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster to enjoy some rockin’ music! The dancers and musicians were doing a fantastic job, but we were most excited to get to meet some of our favorite characters! Let’s dance! Over here is where you’ll be able to meet José Carioca or Panchito from The Three Caballeros… Look who it is! …as well as Miguel from Coco! Hi Miguel! It took us about 15 minutes to meet him, so his line wasn’t very long around an hour into the party, which is great for those looking to meet as many characters throughout the party. Pixar Disco If you’re a Pixar fan, you won’t want to miss this one! Find the Pixar Disco throughout the night (it takes a break between 9:30PM-10:30PM) right at Pixar Plaza. It was all decked out — we loved to see it! Pixar Disco is ready to go! Over here, you can meet Frozone, Mike Wazowski, Edna Mode, and Sadness in her winter toboggan! Hi Sadness! This is a great way to meet a lot of characters in one place, and we saw a lot of people really enjoying it! Twilight Soiree at the Tip Top Club Want to party with the ghosties? Then the Twilight Soiree is for you! Located in the courtyard by Tower of Terror, this entertainment offering features a live band and singer who all sound wonderful, and it’s just a vibe, for lack of a better word. Twilight Soiree If you want to slow things down just a tad on your party night, this is a great option, and you can come and go as you please, which we’re big fans of. Glisten! Perhaps the most unique show during Jollywood Nights is Glisten! It’s an ice-skating show located right in front of the Chinese Theater. Glisten! This show is unlike any other we’ve ever seen in Disney World, and we’re so thrilled it’s returned for another year. If you love live entertainment, music, and the art of ice skating/dancing, this is one that you absolutely won’t want to miss. It’s a great show! Be sure to check your party map for showtimes, and know that bad weather or other unforeseen circumstances, just like other outdoor shows in Disney World. What’s This? Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along For those who love The Nightmare Before Christmas, make sure to stop by this sing-along in the Hyperion Theater! It features songs from the film along with some excellent storytelling and a surprise appearance by Jack Skellington himself. Nightmare Before Christmas Singalong at Jollywood Nights Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! Of course, a party wouldn’t be complete without fireworks! This show takes place at the Chinese Theater at 10PM. It’s hosted by the elves from Prep & Landing, and it’s an absolutely charming way to get into the spirit of the season. Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! Additional Experiences We can’t forget about some of the other character experiences! Over near the entrance to Galaxy’s Edge, you’ll find Bing Bong, one of the most beloved characters from Inside Out, meeting with guests. His line took us about 20 minutes, though it looked scary at first, so don’t let it stop you. It’s Bing Bong! You’ll also want to head over to Toy Story Land to meet the one and only Partysaurus Rex! Partysaurus Rex Right nearby in Galaxy’s Edge, you can see Chewbacca celebrating Life Day! Since they don’t celebrate Christmas on Batuu or in the Star Wars universe, Chewbacca’s here to spread the Life Day spirit. Chewbacca’s celebrating Life Day! We also loved saying hey to Powerline Max over at Echo Lake! Powerline Max! That’s a wrap on the entertainment! We’ll be checking out more of the offerings, so stay tuned. 22. First launched in 2023, Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios has gone on to become one of Disney World’s most popular Holiday events. It’s Bing Bong! The after-hours party at Hollywood Studios features Christmas decor, entertainment offerings, merchandise, snacks, and Disney characters in their holiday best — including some new ones this year! Jollywood Nights features a slew of Disney characters, including some RARE appearances. This year, several characters are appearing at the event for the first time, including: Chewbacca – appearing at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and celebrating Life Day. Partysaurus Rex – appearing at Toy Story Land Bing Bong from Inside Out – appearing on Grand Avenue Miguel from Coco – appearing at Holiday Fiesta en la Calle near Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith Hi Miguel! The Miguel meet-and-greet was very quick, but seeing him in his holiday outfit had us going un poco loco! Miguel is excited to party! The line for Bing Bong was deceiving since there is a break that goes down the entrance to Galaxy’s Edge, but we only had to stand in it for about 10 minutes before getting to the break. So it’s not nearly as bad as we expected it to be. In line for Bing Bong! Everybody who was passing by heading to the Galaxy’s Edge was literally calling out to Bing Bong and singing, and he was just rolling with it. Funny enough, it seemed to be mostly grown adults who were calling out to Bing Bong over the kids. Our friend Bing Bong! Partysaurus Rex was a popular meet-and-greet as well, and for good reason! Rex was in his party outfit — a Viking helmet, a wig, and a strand of lights for a necklace. Partysaurus Rex He truly was the life of the Christmas party, making guests smile and laugh. Partysaurus Rex We also have to admit, Rex knows how to put together a party fit! What’s he chuckling about? We were excited to see all the characters, but we were most interested to see what Chewbacca would look like during the Christmas celebration. Or as they like to call it in a galaxy far, far away, Life Day! Chewbacca is celebrating Life Day! Chewie was wearing a red robe and was excited to meet with guests for the celebration. Hi Chewy! We can see this being a super popular meet-and-greet throughout the Christmas season for Jollywood Nights! Let’s celebrate Life Day! In addition, some of the event’s most popular characters are RETURNING to Jollywood Nights. Baloo or King Louie from TaleSpin – appearing at Echo Lake José Carioca or Panchito from The Three Caballeros – appearing near Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith Lotso from Toy Story 3 – appearing at Toy Story Land Bo Peep from the Toy Story movies – appearing at Toy Story Land The Mandalorian and Grogu – appearing at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Joy and Sadness from Inside Out – appearing at Pixar Place Hi Sadness! Phineas and Ferb – appearing at Echo Lake Max Goof as Powerline – appearing at Echo Lake Chip ‘n’ Dale from Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers – appearing at Echo Lake Stitch dressed as Santa – appearing at Celebrity Spotlight at Echo Lake Duffy dressed as Santa – appearing at Walt Disney Presents Edna Mode and Frozone from The Incredibles – appearing at Pixar Plaza Edna! 23. Happy Holidays from Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Ice cream! We are so excited to be checking out Jollywood Nights tonight, and there is so much entertainment to enjoy, decorations to admire, characters to meet, and of course, food to eat. We are here to let you know which snacks are worth your precious time and money at this year’s party, and this snack is one we couldn’t stop talking about since it was announced! While we love coming to holiday parties for the characters and the snacks, let’s be honest, we are all about the food! Hey, it’s our name! Can you blame us? So when we heard two of our favorite things, we’re coming together to be snacks at Jollywood Nights, Muppets and Ice Cream, we knew we had to try it! Let’s see how it stacks up. The menu Over at Hollywood Scoops is where you can find these two Muppets-treats! First, we grabbed Miss Piggy Strawberry Glam for $9.79. This has Strawberry Boba Pearls and Strawberry Cheesecake topped with Chocolate Pearls, Strawberry Ice Cream, and Pink M&M’S Milk Chocolate Candies. This is also served in a souvenir cup! The Miss Piggy Strawberry Glam Our first thought when trying this is that the combination of ice cream and cheesecake was a little jarring. Once they melt together, it’s difficult to tell what you’ve got a spoonful of until you taste it, and we were surprised a few different times. The ice cream and cheesecake are both decent quality though, and had strong flavors. The M&Ms added a fun texture with some chocolatey crunch, but the boba was a little strange at the end. Topped with M&Ms Next, we had to see how the Kermit Mint Whirl for $9.79 tasted. This is Green Apple Boba Pearls and White Chocolate Cheesecake topped with Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream and Green M&M’S Milk Chocolate Candies. It is also served in a souvenir cup. Kermit Mint Whirl While the Miss Piggy version of this treat was fairly cohesive with strawberry flavors, the Kermit one is bizarre! The ice cream is mint flavored, but the boba pearls are green apple, and those two flavors DO NOT mesh well. Ultimately, it seems like they went more for style over substance with these treats. This one’s for Kermie! For more snack reviews from Jollywood Nights, be sure to follow us at DFB as we try them! See What Else We’re Up to at Jollywood Nights Here! 25. It’s the first night of one of the BEST things to do in Disney World this holiday season. Yep, that’s right — we’re at Jollywood Nights in Disney’s Hollywood Studios! We’re here! This hard-ticketed event runs on select nights in November and December, and it takes place after Hollywood Studios has closed to regular guests for the day. That means that one of the best things about this party is the lower crowd level when compared to a regular day. So let’s see what those crowds and wait times are really like on opening night! Crowds When we arrived at the park around 5:30 PM, we noticed that there was already a massive line to get into the party! The line at Jollywood Nights! The hub was filled with people set in lines that stretched all the way back to the security. Look how far back it goes! You may not have to wait in long lines for attractions, but there might be a long line to get into the park! Everyone’s waiting! Let’s check out those wait times! Wait Times Several Hollywood Studios rides are open during Jollywood Nights, and we had to check them out! If you’re hoping to hop on some rides, the wait times are pretty great. You’ll have lots of time to do attractions AND all the exclusive party events. Once we were in, this is what wait times looked like — keep in mind that there were still some regular day guests in the park around 6 PM: Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster – 45 minutes Tower of Terror – 40 minutes Mickey and Minnies Runaway Railway – 40 minutes Star Tours – 5 minutes Rise of the Resistance – 10 minutes Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run – 20 minutes Toy Story Mania – 35 minutes Slinky Dog Dash – 40 minutes Alien Swirling – 15 minutes ©Disney Riding popular attractions like Tower of Terror and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster while waiting for under an hour is a huge benefit to attending the party. The biggest standout has to be 10 minutes for Rise of the Resistance — you will rarely wait that little for arguably the most popular ride at Hollywood. Rise of the Resistance We’ll continue checking out all the offerings that this event has in store, so stay tuned throughout the night! Keep following DFB for more Disney World holiday updates.
