  1. The holiday season has arrived at Disney World, and that means plenty of festive eats and drinks! You can find seasonal treats at all the Disney World parks AND Disney Springs. No matter where you go, if you are looking for holiday treats, you will be in luck. Of course, we are making our way through as many as possible so we can let you know which ones are worth your money. Frozen Cocoa from Goofy’s Candy Company At Disney Springs, you will find so many holiday treats! These are perfect for grabbing while you are doing the Christmas Tree Stroll, or in between shopping stops. You can visit the holiday-themed Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar, grab adorable holiday treats at Amorette’s Patisserie, stop by Swirls on the Water for seasonal treats, and so much more. We recently spotted a limited-time treat at Goofy’s Candy Company and knew we needed to give it a try! Over at Goofy’s Candy Company, you can find a limited-time offering, Frozen Cocoa! You can grab this seasonal treat for $8.99. It is made with Joffrey’s frozen cocoa, topped with whipped cream, mini marshmallows, a mini candy cane, and a Mickey marshmallow with chocolate and crushed peppermint. We thought the toppings looked great — although the candy cane kept slipping into the drink, trying to avoid being captured. We promise the mini candy cane is in there, though! Frozen Cocoa This is a great sweet drink option! No surprise here, but it really does taste like frozen hot cocoa. It is like a slightly icier chocolate milkshake, but with more of that malty, creamy flavor you taste in hot cocoa. We mostly drank this through a straw, but we also recommend a spoon for getting the mini marshmallows! The large Mickey marshmallow you can just pick up with your hand to eat. We thought this was such a fun addition to the top, and it was very tasty. The Mickey marshmallow was fluffy and tender, and had a coating of chocolate and crushed peppermint. So cute! Overall, it is a great option for warmer winter days at Disney World, or for anyone who drinks iced beverages, no matter the weather. It is very sweet and could easily be shared. It lives up to its frozen cocoa name and is a wonderful holiday treat. We have also spotted Frozen Cocoa at other locations across Disney World, including Restaurantosaurus in Disney’s Animal Kingdom and at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in Magic Kingdom. Each one has had slightly different toppings, but they have all featured that deliciously refreshing, icy, chocolately base. We are definitely loving this treat during the warmer parts of the day! 2. We recently returned from a whirlwind trip to Disneyland Paris and had SO much fun bringing you a look at everything we experienced — but there are SO many changes in store for these parks. ©Disney Between the addition of a new World of Frozen land, a new Lion King ride, and a whole lot more, several changes have been announced for Disneyland Paris. But, one that we happen to be pretty excited about is something you’re probably not expecting — the largest McDonald’s in France — and Disney just confirmed the opening timeline! The largest McDonald’s in France will open at Disneyland Paris in early 2026! The new restaurant will be located right next to the current McDonald’s located in the Disney Village area of the park, which will close once the new location opens. Welcome to Disneyland Paris! The new McDonald’s “features unique and innovative architecture designed exclusively for Disneyland Paris” and will include “playful nods” to Disneyland Paris, too. The design highlights green, plant-filled spaces where families will be able to enjoy their meals indoors or on the outdoor terraces. McDonald’s Once the restaurant officially opens, it will be the largest McDonald’s location in France and will become the flagship store in the country. While no official opening date has been revealed yet, the opening timeline has been confirmed as sometime in early 2026. 3. Morgan and Morgan have dropped their lawsuit against Disney regarding the use of Steamboat Willie, according to the Orlando Sentinel. ©Disney The law firm previously sued the company in September 2025 over the potential use of Steamboat Willie in its advertisements. The suit was filed in federal court, claiming that the character is not copyrighted because the U.S. copyright expired in 2024. The lawsuit initially asked a judge to rule that the firm could use an adaptation of the nearly 100-year-old “Steamboat Willie” cartoon in one of its ads. During the dismissal, the personal injury firm asked a federal court to dismiss the suit without prejudice. That means another legal action could be filed in the future if they want to bring it back to court. Mickey and Steamboat Willie In the filing, they didn’t say why the suit was dropped or if a settlement was reached out of court. During the first filing, Morgan & Morgan claimed it reached out to Disney to make sure they wouldn’t be sued for using Steamboat Willie in its ads, and Disney’s lawyers said they didn’t offer legal advice to third parties. Steamboat Willie ©Disney The law firm said it was filing the lawsuit to get an official decision because it feared being sued by Disney for trademark infringement. Morgan & Morgan did not immediately respond to a request for comment, according to the Orlando Sentinel. Weighted Steamboat Willie Plush The black-and-white animated ad that Morgan & Morgan wanted to air depicted Mickey captaining a boat on land that crashes into a car driven by Minnie. She then pulled out her phone and called the law firm. In the beginning and ending of the commercial, there is a voiceover advising that Disney did not approve or authorize the statement. The animated short initially debuted in 1928, and it serves as the official debut of Mickey and Minnie Mouse. It entered the public domain last year, but Disney still holds the trademark rights and copyright protections for modern versions of the character. Steamboat Willie artwork! In regard to the case, Katie Rosborough, a Disney spokeswoman, said, “Disney remains committed to guarding against unlawful copyright and trademark infringement to avoid consumer confusion caused by unauthorized uses of Mickey Mouse and our other iconic characters.” Be sure to keep following DFB for the latest Disney news and updates. 4. If you’re looking to be the main character of your own vacation, a sailing on the Disney Destiny just might be calling your name. Disney Cruise Line’s new ship celebrates the legendary worlds and larger-than-life heroes and villains at the heart of Disney Animation, Pixar Animation Studios, Marvel Studios, and Disney Parks stories, with thrilling adventures at every turn and an incredible array of entertainment that will inspire you to embrace your own destiny. Disney Hercules Disney Seas the Adventure Frozen: A Musical Spectacular Beyond the Walt Disney Theatre Every venue is a stage onboard the ship, with extraordinary entertainment for the whole family including deck parties, live music and encounters with your favorite characters — heroes and villains alike. The Walt Disney Theatre is the ultimate destination to experience heroic stories onboard Disney cruise ships, offering Broadway-style entertainment that takes families on a journey through their favorite Disney tales throughout the sailing. Let’s take a look at the stage shows onboard the Disney Destiny for your own hero’s quest. Disney Hercules The new Broadway-style stage show, exclusively onboard the Disney Destiny, “Disney Hercules,” brings a hero’s adventure to the Walt Disney Theatre like never before. This retelling of the classic Walt Disney Animation Studios film is a party from the very start with the iconic music and characters we know and love, presented in an all-new way. And that’s the gospel truth! True to the spirit of the film, the fabulous Muses guide us through the story, singing all of your favorite songs in spectacular renditions that will have you dancing along, with the full soulfulness of gospel music and the over-the-top energy of a concert. As you’re guided through the mythological world of ancient Greece, you’ll experience all-new, towering puppetry starting with Hercules’ battle of the multi-headed Hydra as the monster seemingly takes over the entire theater. Then, you’ll find yourself looking up — way up — during the hero’s final battle between the larger-than-life Titans of the Underworld as the monsters storm the stage with Disney Cruise Line’s debut of Disney’s patented exoskeleton technology. I expect to see a few inspired guests in Senses Fitness after Hercules shows strength worthy of Mount Olympus! Or, if you’ve discovered your own inner Muse, I hope to see you try your hand at karaoke in Saga. Disney Seas the Adventure On the first night of your cruise, settle into your sailing by heading to the Walt Disney Theatre, where you’ll fly through classic Disney and Pixar stories in “Disney Seas the Adventure.” The story is timed to your cruise, taking place on the very first night of a brand-new Disney Cruise Line voyage. Captain Minnie Mouse asks Goofy to help her steer the ship while she plans a special project, and as Goofy learns to keep the ship on course, he takes us on a special journey across classic Disney and Pixar stories, meeting beloved characters and singing your favorite songs along the way. Keep your eyes peeled throughout the show, because dancers, puppets, and special effects move from the stage into the aisles and around the entire theater as Goofy travels through these special stories. The show’s finale will bring you to your feet as you celebrate Captain Minnie’s special surprise, all with a shower of sparkling confetti and an exhilarating chorus that will inspire you to “Try Everything!” Frozen: A Musical Spectacular I hope the cold never bothered you, because a chill falls into the Walt Disney Theatre as the curtain rises on the third show of your sailing, “Frozen: A Musical Spectacular.” This exclusive, Broadway-style retelling of the Disney Animation blockbuster is a Disney Cruise Line fan favorite, now gracing the Disney Destiny’s stage with its frozen fractals all around. Follow Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Sven, and Olaf through a beautiful journey across Arendelle with dazzling renditions of beloved songs and spectacular puppetry that brings your favorite characters to life like never before. I hope everyone will join me in singing along to “In Summer” with Olaf! Beyond the Walt Disney Theatre While the Walt Disney Theatre houses these tremendous tales brought to stage, you’ll discover classic Disney entertainment all over the Disney Destiny. Be sure not to miss the festivities on the upper decks, from the magical sail away party to the raucous Pirate’s Rockin’ Parlay Party during pirate night, complete with fireworks at sea. Dinner comes with a show in Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King, the all-new theatrical dining experience celebrating the stunning soundtrack of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ The Lion King with live musical performances. These are just a few of the unforgettable entertainment and character encounters you’ll find throughout the entire ship as you experience your very own heroic adventure onboard the Disney Destiny. 5. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad has been closed since early January 2025 for a lengthy refurbishment, and it isn’t slated to reopen until some point in 2026. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Disney recently revealed some MAJOR upgrades coming to the ride, and while we’re still waiting for the ride to reopen, Disney has filed a new permit that points to more work yet to come. Walt Disney Imagineering has filed a new permit for the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad refurbishment at Magic Kingdom. The permit is listed as “general construction,” which isn’t very specific — but the contractor on the permit is Coastal Steel Group, Inc., a steel fabrication company that specializes in roller coasters. Disney has worked with Coastal Steel before on other projects, and they’ve been listed on other permits for this project specifically. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad construction 2025 The expiration date is listed as one year out from November 17th, though work is not expected to actually take that long. For now, we’re hopeful that this means work is continuing at the right pace and that Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will reopen as originally planned — sometime in 2026. Construction at Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Disney recently teased a revamped plot for this ride, saying, “The story of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad dates back to Olden Times, or rather, Golden Times, during the early days of America’s first major gold rush. When Barnabas T. Bullion struck gold in the Big Thunder region, he saw a future full of riches and hustled to start the Big Thunder Mountain Company.” However, “Bullion quickly found himself in a battle with the forces of nature”, and “strange and unexplainable things started happening” in the mine, such as failed machines and cave-ins. When the attraction reopens in 2026, “the unsuspectin’ passengers who board the runaway trains will learn just how wild the wilderness can get.” Looking good! Disney is calling the project “a mountain-top to cavern-deep refurbishment meant to keep the classic attraction in tip-top shape, ready to delight guests who want to ride the rails for years to come.” The company teased some pretty cool additions that will debut next year, including “spectacular natural caverns full of phosphorescent pools, shimmering and illuminating iridescent stalagmites (the ones on the floor) and stalactites (the ones on the ceiling)” reminiscent of the Rainbow Caverns from the original concept art. ©Disney All in all, the ride will also feature a new, smoother track, new lighting and effects, and an exterior touch-up of the ride to help it fit into the new Piston Peak Cars expansion. We’ll be on the lookout for additional updates about the Big Thunder refurbishment and more. In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more. 7. Disney World can be really confusing sometimes. Annual Pass You can stay on top of every announcement and still run into rules that make you pause when you’re already halfway to the gates. Annual Passholders know this feeling better than almost anyone, especially when it comes to park reservations. Today we’re breaking down why the 2 PM reservation rule is still tripping people up and why so many Passholders are fed up with it. Park Reservations Are Still Needed Before 2 PM Annual Passholders have seen their fair share of policy changes in the past few years, and park reservations are easily one of the biggest. Disney first introduced the reservation system in 2020 as a way to manage capacity and control crowd flow after reopening. For a long time, absolutely everyone had to make a reservation before entering a park. It didn’t matter if you were a hotel guest, a day guest, or a Passholder, because the rule applied across the board. ©Disney The system stuck around longer than many people expected. Over time, though, things shifted. Disney eventually announced that regular theme park guests no longer needed reservations on many dates. This change took effect in 2024 and brought a huge sigh of relief for most visitors. Suddenly you could plan a spontaneous EPCOT afternoon, wander into Magic Kingdom for a quick shopping trip, or head to Animal Kingdom because the weather felt perfect for a safari. For a lot of guests, it felt like a return to the Disney World experience they remembered. Annual Pass Annual Passholders celebrated this change too, but only for a moment. Very quickly, it became clear that one rule was still sticking around for them. If Passholders want to enter a park before 2 PM, they still need a reservation. At first, this felt like a small inconvenience, but over time it has become one of the biggest frustrations APs deal with. The 2 PM Rule Creates a Strange Divide For many Passholders, the real issue isn’t really just the concept of reservations. It’s the timing. The rule creates an odd divide between morning and afternoon access. If you show up at 1:55 PM without a reservation, you’re turned around. If you show up at 2:01 PM, you can stroll through the touch points like it’s nothing. It feels inconsistent, and that inconsistency is one of the things that bothers Passholders. Annual Pass Passholders often visit the parks differently from vacationers. A lot of them go for short trips, quick meals, or an hour-long ride spree. They don’t always know exactly when they’ll be free to drop by, which is why the flexibility of being a Passholder has always been one of the biggest perks. With the 2 PM restriction, that flexibility disappears for half the day. Annual Pass This becomes even more frustrating on days when reservations fill up for certain parks. If a Passholder wants to rope drop Magic Kingdom or hop into Hollywood Studios to grab a breakfast Ronto Wrap, they might be out of luck unless they planned in advance. The whole point of having an Annual Pass used to be the freedom to go when the mood strikes, and this rule chips away at that feeling more than anything else. The History Makes It Even More Confusing Part of why this rule frustrates people is the constantly shifting nature of the reservation system itself. Every time Disney updates the policy, there’s a new set of exceptions or small details that APs need to remember. When reservations first launched, they had strict capacity limits. Then park hopping rules changed. Then reservation types were re-categorized. Then the “good-to-go” days were introduced. ©Disney It feels like every time the system is finally settling into something straightforward, another change pops up. Even now, many APs still have questions about how reservations apply on special event days, holiday weeks, or extended evening hours. When a system is already complicated, anything that feels unnecessary becomes extra frustrating. The Afternoon “Freedom” Doesn’t Solve the Problem Disney promotes the no-reservation-after-2 PM perk as a benefit, and in some ways it is. Being able to pop into a park in the late afternoon can be convenient. The problem is that a huge chunk of Passholders simply prefer mornings. Whether they want to rope drop a favorite attraction, avoid the heat, or head home before crowds build, mornings are prime AP time. ©Disney When you take away morning flexibility, you’re removing the part of the day many Passholders value the most. This is why the 2 PM rule doesn’t feel like a perk to a lot of them. We’ll keep watching this situation closely, because the frustration isn’t going anywhere at the moment. Disney World Annual Pass Stay tuned to DisneyFoodBlog for updates you’ll want to know before your next park day. 4 Disney World Rules That No Longer Work in 2026 Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! 9. Shopping with Amazon not only comes with plenty of perks but with some shocking rules, as well. ©Amazon As an Amazon Prime member, I often wonder what my subscription allows me to do — or what it prohibits me from doing. That’s why I combed through the latest small print of Amazon Prime’s terms of service…and it’s safe to say I found some pretty juicy rules hiding in plain sight. You might already be a member and don’t give these fine details a second thought, or maybe you’re considering signing up. Either way, these three rules are noteworthy and worth thinking about while using this popular online shopping service! 1. You can’t share free shipping with a friend living elsewhere. We’ve already seen streaming services crack down on password and perk sharing, and it appears Amazon Prime does something similar. We’re going shopping! While you might have been quietly “sharing” your Prime free-shipping perk with a friend or relative, this is technically against the rules. In October 2025, Amazon ended its “Invitee” program, which allowed Prime members to extend the free shipping benefit to someone outside their household. Now, if you want free shipping, you’ll have to use the “Amazon Family” model, which lets you share this shipping perk with one more adult (as long as they live at the same address and share payment methods), as well as up to four teen and four child profiles. So, yeah, if your friends want free shipping, have them move in with you and start paying you rent. 2. Amazon can kick you out of Prime if you misuse it — or if they just decide to. You may be giving Amazon a boatload of money each month and spending a ton of time shopping and streaming, but the membership terms say that Amazon retains the right to suspend or terminate your membership. This also applies to specific benefits. The jail scene in Pirates of the Caribbean This can happen if you violate the terms of the agreement, or even for reasons Amazon decides are valid. This is wildly open-ended. It’s fully possible to break a lesser-known rule or violate a rule that was recently (and subtly) changed. I guess it’s important to just stay up-to-date on Amazon Prime’s code of conduct! 3. You can cancel your subscription within three business days for a full refund. This one is for prospective subscribers! Did you know that when you first sign up for Amazon Prime or convert from a free trial, the terms state that if you cancel within three business days, you’re eligible for a full refund of the membership fee? ©Disney However, refunds get tricky after that 3-day window. You could be looking at prorated refunds or total denials. Once again, Amazon makes it clear that everything is up to its discretion. ©Amazon Will these rules stop me from using Amazon Prime? Absolutely not. But it’s important to be familiar with what’s going on in that contract you’re signing, as it could have some serious effects on your shopping capabilities. The main thing I noticed when perusing these rules is that they’re nuanced, and by knowing them, you hold a lot of power. How has your experience been with Amazon Prime? 10. Disney World has been rid of virtual queues for a while… but that’s all changing soon. Marketplace Co-Op Disney often uses virtual queues to handle demand for rides, merchandise releases, and now, stores. This way, you can snag a spot in a virtual line and go about your day before being called back when it’s your time. A new store is opening at Disney Springs soon, and with it, a new virtual queue. Heads up! Disney announced that The Disney Drop Shop will be opening at Marketplace Co-Op in Disney Springs on November 21st. The Disney Drop Shop will be your one-stop shop for buying blind box releases, exclusive merchandise, and collectible brands like Cosbi, Beast Kingdom, and Popmart. ©Disney If you’re interested in visiting The Disney Drop Shop when it opens on November 21st, a virtual waitlist will be in place to enter the shop’s location. Disney hasn’t shared how long the virtual waitlist will last or if it’s just for opening day, but make sure you check your My Disney Experience app on November 21st or later to join the virtual waitlist if you do want to visit. Disney also shared that you won’t be able to use any discounts (Annual Passholder, DVC, etc.) for merchandise bought from The Disney Drop Shop, so keep that in mind. Inside Marketplace Co-Op We can’t wait to check out the collectibles that will be available here! Cosbi is a series of toys by Hot Toys of cute collectible Japanese figures. Beast Kingdom is a Taiwanese collectible brand known for high-quality figures and merchandise. Popmart is a character-based company and designer of blind box collectibles. 11. As an Annual Passholder, I’m obsessed with taking advantage of every perk I can. I’m always flashing the card when buying something at Disney World, eating around the property, and for my glorious free parking. Stitch Magnet for Disney World Annual Passholders One of the best perks is probably the free magnets. I know, I know, it sounds insanely silly to spend so much money on a pass and then be thrilled when I get a free magnet, but these are a right of passage for passholders, especially once your fridge starts to be covered in them. If you’ve missed a few magnets, now might be the time to get your hands on some. New Annual Passholder magnets come out every few months, and normally, you have to come into the parks to pick them up. That means, unless you’re local, you might not be able to grab every magnet since they’re only available for a month or so. Annual Passholder magnet Lucky for you, three magnets are making a comeback! You can pick up three previously released magnets from December 3rd to December 19th at the Discovery Trading Company on Discovery Island at Animal Kingdom. You’ll need to come during normal park operating hours, and you can pick up a bundle including: Stitch Hei Hei Timon & Pumba Annual Passholder magnet Score! Personally, I missed out on Hei Hei, so I’m super thrilled to add him to my collection. While you’re at Animal Kingdom, don’t forget to check out the massive Christmas tree before you enter the park (trust me, you can’t miss it) and the Merry Menagerie. The Merry Menagerie is an adorable group of animal puppets on Discovery Island, and while Animal Kingdom might not be the first park you think of for holiday decorations, it’s one you won’t want to skip. 17. It’s certainly no secret that Disney World tends to get a little crowded during the holiday season — and by a little, we mean a lot. We’re not kidding about the crowds! Between Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, Jollywood Nights, and EPCOT festivals that run throughout November and December, there are plenty of reasons why people want to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth during this time of the year. And, on November 16th, there was one reason, in particular, that we saw some of the WORST crowds we’ve ever seen at EPCOT. If you were at EPCOT on Sunday, November 16th, are you okay?! The crowds were out in full force, and it all stemmed from who was performing at the Eat to the Beat concerts at the Food and Wine Festival. The Beach Boys came to play their hits — but they weren’t alone! Major Disney fan John Stamos (yes, Uncle Jesse himself) joined in on the fun, too. And, it looked like the word had gotten out because we hadn’t seen crowds like this in a while. Crowds waiting for The Beach Boys As part of the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival, the Eat to the Beat concert series features iconic bands and artists performing Fridays through Mondays, while local bands perform Tuesday through Thursday evenings. These concerts are free with EPCOT admission and take place three times nightly. Folks line up pretty far in advance for popular acts, and this was certainly the case for The Beach Boys and John Stamos. When we stopped by before the 5:30 PM show, the line stretched all the way through the China Pavilion… Line backed up in China …and eventually ended in the Norway Pavilion. That’s almost half of the entire World Showcase, which is quite the feat. Cast Members we spoke with said they had never seen crowds for an Eat to the Beat show like this — not even Boyz II Men, which historically gets pretty crowded. End of the line all the way in Norway Of course, we had to stay to watch some of the show, and we’re glad we did! The Beach Boys played some of their hits, accompanied by John Stamos. But, if you don’t want to wait in line, you can avoid the chaos! Dining Packages are available to pair breakfast, lunch or dinner (either a three-course meal or full buffet with a beverage — non-alcoholic or alcoholic for of-age guests — based on location) at a participating EPCOT restaurant with guaranteed priority seating for an evening show on the same date. The exception is Spice Road Table, where each guest receives 2 small plates and a nonalcoholic beverage (or alcoholic beverage for Guests 21 and older), and a shared tagine and a shared dessert platter for the table. The Beach Boys The Beach Boys are playing a second night, Monday, November 17th, and that will be the final show for this year’s concert series. The EPCOT Food and Wine Festival ends on November 22nd, but the Festival of the Holidays will begin on November 28th! John Stamos We’ll be on the lookout for more updates you need to know about Disney World crowds and beyond. In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more. 19. Disney World during the holidays is FILLED with Christmas trees. Seriously, it feels like every single corner you turn, you see tree after tree with sparkling lights and beautiful designs. Christmas Tree Stroll Some of the trees are inside the parks, like Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios, and require a park ticket, but others are at resorts, outside the parks, like Animal Kingdom, or at Disney Springs, so you can see them completely for free. We’re taking you with us to the Christmas Tree Stroll at Disney Springs, which is where you’ll be able to see the most trees, all totally decked in Disney. The Christmas Tree Stroll is a free event where you can walk through Disney Springs and check out all the decorated trees. You can pick up a map at the following locations: City Works Eatery & Pour House Crystlas Arts by Arribas Brothers havianas House of Blues Restaurant & Bar The LEGO Store The Polite Pig The map The map shows the locations of all the trees, along with stickers so you can mark off each tree you find. There’s also a bunch of coupons in the map for places inside Disney Springs to save some money while you’re shopping and eating. Once you complete the scavenger hunt, make sure you return to those locations to receive a special prize — it’s usually a button! Gotta find them all! There are some trees decorated with our favorite movies like Encanto… Encanto …Coco… Coco …and the Nightmare Before Christmas and some to rides we love like… The Nightmare Before Christmas …the Haunted Mansion. The Haunted Mansion Some trees are for Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club, too. Don’t forget to check out the Disney Cruise Line tree (or, uh, topiary), which looks like the actual ship. Annual Passholder tree Take a moment to look a little closer to catch the hidden details, too. Hidden details Of course, you can’t forget to check it out at night. With all the twinkling lights, it’s truly one of my favorite parts of the holidays at Disney World. You have to come back at night Make sure you bring your MagicBand+ to interact with some of the trees. The Annual Passholder tree, Haunted Mansion tree, Star Wars tree, and the Nightmare Before Christmas tree work with your MagicBand+ to add a little bit more fun to your day in Disney Springs. All the trees to check out We’re not going to spoil all the trees this year, but you should definitely check them all out to find your new favorite. Many trees come back year after year with some changes, so it’s fun to see the differences each time you visit. 20. Sometimes, it feels like Disney has been holding out on us, saving the best souvenir collections till the end of the year, because it’s been banger after banger of brand-new collections that have us reaching for our wallets. ©Disney Dooney & Bourke just dropped a new Beauty and the Beast collection that is combining everything we love about the movie into something we can use and wear every day! Belle, Beast, Cogsworth, Lumiere, Mrs. Potts, and Chip, so you can have your favorite characters on your backpack. ©Disney There’s a front zippered pocket and a large pouch to keep all your items. The inside features one zip pocket, two slip pockets, a cell phone pocket, and an interior key hook. It even has a handle on top so you can easily carry it when it’s not on your back. 21. The holiday season is SO much fun in Disney World. You’ve got all the UH-mazing holiday decor in the parks. You’ve got Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Jollywood Nights. You’ve got the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays, which starts on November 28th. It’s just such a great time to visit the resort. There’s a gnome in our drink! More importantly, though, there are SO many incredible drinks and snacks available during this time, including a fun little cocktail we just discovered in Disney Springs. And let’s just say “gnome”-body does it better. If you visit eet by Maneet Chauhan (one of the MOST underrated Disney Springs restaurants, in our opinion), you can pick up the Gnome Place Like Home Cocktail for $15.95. It’s made with Blazing Fireball Apple Whiskey, Apple Cider, and Cinnamon Bun Syrup. So you already know this is a warm and cozy drink, making it perfect for the holidays — and it is! It’s Christmas in a cup. The cinnamon flavor is more predominant than the alcohol, which is nice if you don’t like super strong drinks. Gnome Place Like Home That apple cider flavor really comes through, though, too. We’ll admit that we kept sipping on this one without ever putting it down, and that’s just how tasty it is. But what really made us squeal with joy was this little gnome floating at the top of the drink. We can’t EVEN. You can’t even look at this little guy without smiling. We LOVE him This is a pretty pricey drink, but at the same time, you do end up with a free ADORABLE souvenir. While you’re in Disney Springs, be sure to check out the FREE Christmas Tree Stroll. Grab a complimentary map at City Works Eatery & Pour House, Crystal Arts by Arribas Brothers, Havaianas, House of Blues, The LEGO Store, or The Polite Pig and be on the lookout for trees as you shop and eat around Disney Springs. When you find a tree, match the corresponding sticker to the location on the map. When you’ve found every tree, bring your map to one of the locations mentioned above for a special surprise. ‘Encanto’ Christmas Tree Stay tuned to DFB for more. 22. ‘Tis the season for all kinds of seasonal treats for the holiday season all over Disney World resort, and we couldn’t be more thrilled! Who’s ready for new churros? Now, not every holiday treat is going to be a winner, we know that, but we go in with high hopes each time, because we want it to be a snack we’ll love! Churros are notoriously rough in Disney World, whereas they’re typically delicious in Disneyland, but over at Sunshine Churros in Disney Springs, there’s a new seasonal treat that gingerbread fans can’t miss. There are two Sunshine Churros locations in Disney Springs, and at both of them, you can grab the Gingerbread Churro for $7.99, which is a churro rolled in gingerbread sugar, drizzled with buttercream frosting, topped with crunchy gingerbread cookie crumbs, and a sparkle of edible glitter. Gingerbread Churro! This flavor is only around from November 1st through December 31st, and already right off the bat, this is a GREAT deal for two churros (that are easy to split!). We were afraid the flavor here would be too much gingerbread, but that wasn’t the case at all! It was one of the best churros we’ve had in Disney World (still no comparison to Disneyland, though), with a soft interior and crunchy exterior. Gingerbread Churros While this is a sweeter treat, it’s not overly sweet, which we appreciated. The toppings stick to the churro very well, but we even found ourselves dipping the churro into the frosting and toppings that had fallen into the container to get as much of it as we could — it was that delicious! It does have a strong gingerbread taste, so you do have to enjoy gingerbread, but those who are pretty neutral on it, too, will likely enjoy it as well. Delicious!
