SeaWorld Orlando has revealed the ride vehicle for its upcoming SEAQuest: Legends of the Deep, an indoor attraction that will sway left and right while moving forward in a simulated underwater experience. The vehicle, unveiled on the show floor of the IAAPA Expo at Orange County Convention Center on Tuesday, will replicate the actions of a submarine without the tight quarters. The open-air vehicle will be suspended from a rail with gravity helping with the programmed movement. “We’re really excited about all of that dynamic motion,” said Conner Carr, corporate vice president, rides and engineering for United Parks & Resorts, parent of SeaWorld Orlando theme park. “One of the really cool things about this one is how fluid the motion is … so being suspended, it actually gives you the feeling of flying through the water,” he said. The ride, announced in September, is under construction at the theme park and is scheduled to open to the public sometime in 2026. The experience will last between four and five minutes, Carr said. “You’re going to board in the station, and then you’re going to depart. You’re going to go down to the depths of the sea, and you’re going to go through all different kinds of underwater environments,” he said. “You’re going to go through different mysteries and discoveries … and obviously the most important thing you’re going to see is all the animals along the way.” The vehicles will have onboard speakers and the ability to spin 360 degrees. The ride’s manufacturer is Vekoma, a Dutch firm with an office in downtown Orlando. It’s the company’s first project for SeaWorld Orlando. “This ride system is such a perfect fit,” said Ricardo Etges, Vekoma’s vice president for sales and marketing for the Americas. “You’ll be suspended and be able to see everything that is at the bottom of the ocean.” The vehicles will hold four or five people, and the height requirement will be low. Those factors will make SEAQuest a family-friendly attraction, executives say. Each vehicle will move independently. “Then at the station you’re going to have the conveyor belt to really expedite load and unload,” Etges said. “There’s going to be some excitement and adventure built-in there too. It is a theme-park ride,” Carr said. “The true base of the ride is exploration. … We’re not on a mission. It’s truly just to go where no one’s gone before and see what no one’s ever been able to see before at the bottom of the ocean.” IAAPA Expo continues through Friday. When it comes to dining at Disney World, you’ve got a TON of options, especially if you’re over at EPCOT, which is known for tons of delicious restaurants! It’s time to eat! We recently stopped by Via Napoli in the Italy Pavilion, which originally opened in 2010, to see how one of our favorite restaurants in the park is holding up, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. Is it worth a stop on your next trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth? Find out here! Atmosphere We love the relaxed vibe of this spot, since it’s located in the back of the pavilion! The decoration inside is gorgeous, but not overwhelming, and it just made us feel like we could take a breath on our busy day. Via Napoli If you’re seated in the main dining room, you’ll be able to see the giant ovens where they cook the pizzas and other delicious dishes. While it is one of the busiest parts of the restaurant, it’s not too much, so you won’t feel like it’s overly loud or overstimulating. Inside Via Napoli However, we were seated in the side sunroom, which was even more gorgeous! The sunlight came through the windows and lit up the space easily, and we truly felt at peace! You’ll find regular tables and chairs here, so keep that in mind. The side sunroom But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?! Menu As this is an Italian restaurant, those are the items you’ll find on the menu! There are six different Antipasti (Small Plates) on the menu, as well as a Cesare and House Salad. ©Disney Getting into the main entree options, you’ll find lots of pasta available in many different shapes and sizes, as well as items like Chicken Parmesan and Branzino. There are also two sides available, called Contorni, which are Green Beans and Fingerling Potatoes. ©Disney It’s not Via Napoli without the iconic pizza! You’ll find numerous different types of pizza, where you can get an individual size, a large size ideal for a small group to split, or the MASSIVE mezzo metro pizzas for the table. ©Disney Want to make your own pizza? Not to worry, you can do that too! There are three different sizes available, as well as lots of different toppings for various prices. ©Disney It’s not a meal without dessert, right? Via Napoli is home to seven different desserts, including Tiramisù, Cannolo, and Cheesecake. ©Disney There is also a Kids’ Menu available, but remember that this is only available for kids aged 3-9, and table service restaurants are pretty strict about that! ©Disney When it comes to the drinks, you’ll find soda, lemonade, Italian Water and Soda, coffee, and milk available, but finding non-alcoholic mocktails won’t really be on the menu here. ©Disney However, there are over 12 different cocktails to choose from, so if that’s what you’re looking for, there are tons to choose from. ©Disney There are also tons of wines available, so many that you’ll want to ask your server for a list, but if you’re searching for sangria, there are five to choose from. ©Disney Is beer more your thing? Not to worry, there are nine different options available for that as well. ©Disney Finally, there are also Aperitif Cocktails available, which are often served after dinner, but you can order them whenever you’d like! ©Disney And now, onto the main event — the food! Eats & Drinks We started by grabbing two different drinks to try out, including the Limoncello Mule for $20. This is Grey Goose L’Orange vodka, limoncello, peach purée, orange juice, pineapple juice, lime juice, and ginger beer. We recently had a Cast Member inside the Italy Pavilion recommend this to us, so we wanted to give it a try, and we understand why it was recommended! Normally, our reporter is adverse to ordering mules because they’re often similar-tasting and are easy to make at home, but this is an exception to that. This is more like a juice cocktail with the peach puree, the orange, the pineapple, and the lime. It was so fruity and delicious, but the ginger beer kept it from being overly sweet, and so it was just an incredible blend of flavors. We would recommend it for BOTH those who enjoy sweet drinks, as well as those who want something milder, and don’t be scared by the ginger! Limoncello Mule Our other drink was the Strawberry Housemade Agua Fresca for $8.50, which was incredible! This is a strawberry purée that does not taste sweetened — instead, this is a real strawberry flavor that they mix in a water base, so there was nothing artificially sugary or syrupy about it. The purée was just muddled strawberries from what we could tell, and it was so refreshing and so delicious. We can’t recommend it enough! Strawberry Housemade Agua Fresca For eats, we ordered the Arancini for $15, which is fried risotto balls, fontina cheese, meat ragù. These were well-made! The rice inside reminded us of Rice-A-Roni flavor-wise in the best way, because we really love a cheesy chicken rice. However, our complaint was that there just wasn’t enough of the sausage and cheese filling in these, which made it bland. We’d love to have some more filling in there so it has more flavor than just the rice! Arancini Our other appetizer was the Homemade Focaccia with sides of marinara and Italian extra virgin olive oil and herbs for $8.50, which was extremely delicious with a beautiful quality olive oil for dipping. At first, we thought the olive oil was herbed and fragrant, but then we realized there were pieces of rosemary inside the focaccia itself, which made more sense, and it made us love it even more. The texture of it was bouncy on the inside with a great crust on top, and we think this is a totally underrated bread service in EPCOT — it’s at the top of our favorites list now! Homemade Focaccia The Tortellini was next for $29, which is stuffed pasta, sautéed pancetta, sweet peas, parmesan cheese cream sauce. This totally surprised us! It was so indulgent, cheesy, and creamy, and it was like an elevated comfort food in the best way. The sharpness of the Parmesan cheese cream sauce cut through the richness of the rest of the meal, which balanced it well. Tortellini The sauteed pancetta added a salty meatiness that got all in the sauce, and then the peas were the perfect little bright pop of green. The pasta was perfectly al dente as well, so overall, if you’re a big fan of Tortellini normally, or think you’d be a fan, we can’t recommend this enough! This was delicious! For our pizza, our first reporter grabbed the Carciofi for $25, which was a white pizza with artichoke, fontina, mozzarella, and truffle oil. While this was good, you’ll have to really like artichokes! As this is a white pizza, meaning it doesn’t have traditional tomato sauce, you’re really just tasting the cheese and artichokes. This did have a beautiful crust that the cheese melded perfectly with, so if you’re willing to get a little adventurous, give it a try! Carciofi Our other reporter tried the Vegan Margherita Pizza for $23, and while our reporter knows that the texture of vegan cheese is often atrocious, we still wanted to give it a try. Unfortunately, while the crust was so beyond magical with a fantastic quality, the vegan cheese did indeed have the texture of Elmer’s glue. Ultimately, we scraped off all of the vegan cheese and ate it with just sauce, which is what we feel we’d ask for next time, maybe with some sliced vegetables on top, and we recommend you do the same if you’ve got to eat a vegan diet! Vegan Margherita Pizza Nosh or Not This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if… You’re craving pizza served in a gorgeous setting. Via Napoli offers authentic Neapolitan wood-fired pizzas, pasta, and meat dishes that are sure to make any Italian food fiend happy. It’s our favorite pizza in Disney World! You’re looking to feed a large group. The Mezzo Metro-sized pizzas are literally a meter long, and can be really cost-effective if you have a larger family or group (who can all agree on the same pizza)! You want to dine somewhere with excellent eats that’s still casual. This is one of our favorite restaurants at EPCOT and remains a DFB favorite for a reason. The food, service, and atmosphere are all top-notch and hard to beat. You should skip this Disney World spot if… You’re not looking for pizza or Italian food. In addition to pizza, Via Napoli offers salads, pasta, and small plates — all with an Italian flare. If you’re looking for something a bit more unique, you won’t find it here. You want a quiet dining experience. It’s incredibly lively in this restaurant, which can be overstimulating for some. For a quieter vibe, you might want to check out Tutto Italia. You want a quick grab-and-go option. If you’re still craving pizza but want something you can eat on your way to the next thing on your list, consider the Via Napoli walk-up window, Pizza al Taglio.” Overall We’re a little surprised this isn’t talked about more, to be honest with you! We were really impressed not only by the food, but the service, and all the Cast Members were so incredibly kind. If you’re someone who enjoys Italian food and wants a meal where you can relax for a moment, this is absolutely a spot to add to your bucket list. This bread will be on our minds forever In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant updates from Disney World and beyond. Getting ready to book your flight to Disney World? A new option is about to join the market! ©JetBlue When traveling to Disney World, people most often fly into the Orlando International Airport (MCO). MCO is home to several airlines and hundreds (sometimes thousands) of flights per day. Now, JetBlue Airways is expanding its options for flights to the Orlando airport! The Orlando Business Journal reports that JetBlue Airways is now adding more nonstop flights to upstate New York as part of a push to connect Florida markets with the Northeast. According to a news release, the airline will begin this new route from MCO to Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC) on March 26th, 2026. ©JetBlue The flight will be offered five days a week and aims to serve New Yorkers who wish to vacation in Orlando. JetBlue is a New York-based airline, so the connection makes sense. “Orlando is one of the most popular destinations for Upstate New Yorkers, and this new route gives customers an easy way to get to the sunshine, theme parks, and all the attractions Central Florida has to offer,” said JetBlue Vice President Dave Jehn. Orlando International Airport Why is this relevant? Well, Visit Florida found in a 2024 report that approximately 8.7% of visitors to Florida were from New York, making the state only second on the list behind Georgia. In keeping with this, JetBlue is also getting ready to introduce flights from Daytona Beach and Vero Beach to JFK, as well as flights from Long Island to Tampa and Fort Myers. These are just a few of their options in an expanded lineup between Florida and New York. @JetBlue Airways We’ll be interested to see how these new flights affect the Orlando International Airport in 2026, so we’ll be on the lookout for any updates. Thanksgiving is right around the corner! The turkey, sides, and desserts are great, but the leftovers are my favorite part. I love making tried-and-true family recipes and trying out new ones with leftovers every year. With so many great dishes, it can be hard to decide what new bites to make with those Thanksgiving leftovers. Thankfully, the Disney recipe vault had a few great ideas that we’re sharing with you today! We found ideas from Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort that are no longer on the menu, but use items like ham, turkey, and even side dishes. If you love sandwiches, the Warm Turkey Sandwich and Holiday Ham Slider with Cranberry-Bacon Jam are perfect ways to repurpose what’s left. The Turkey Pot Pie with Cheesy Biscuit Topping is a delicious way to use that extra turkey. To help save time, I added in a few tips for each recipe, too. Let’s get to the recipes! Our first recipe is the Warm Turkey Sandwich. It’s the perfect way to use leftover turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole, and cranberry sauce. The savory Stuffing Bread makes this sandwich the perfect comfort food bite. To save time on this dish, make the Stuffing Bread while you’re putting together the main meal and refrigerate until it’s time to assemble the sandwiches. Warm Turkey Sandwich Recipe Makes 4 servings Ingredients Stuffing Bread 4 tablespoons butter 1 cup diced white onion 1/4 cup diced celery 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme 1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary 1 tablespoon chopped fresh sage 1 (6 ounce) box dry stuffing mix 1 cup turkey or chicken broth, hot coarse salt, to taste black pepper, to taste 1 eggs, lightly beaten Warm Turkey Sandwich 8 slices turkey 2 cups mashed potatoes 1 cup turkey gravy 2 cups green bean casserole 1/2 cup cranberry sauce Instructions Stuffing Bread Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9×13-inch baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray. Heat butter in a medium sized skillet over medium heat until melted. Add onion and celery and sauté for 8 minutes, until soft. Add fresh herbs, and stir to combine. Combine dry stuffing mix with chicken broth in a large bowl. Add onion and celery. Season with salt and pepper, as needed. Stir in eggs until combined. Spread stuffing in prepared 9×13-inch pan. Bake for 15 minutes. Cool for 30 minutes. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Warm Turkey Sandwich Heat leftover mashed potatoes, turkey slices, gravy, and green bean casserole. Preheat broiler to high. Cut stuffing bread into 8 pieces and place on a baking sheet. Broil for 1 minute on each side, until toasted. Place 1 piece of stuffing bread on each plate. Top each piece of bread with 1/4 of the mashed potatoes and 1 slice of turkey breast. Top with remaining 4 slices of stuffing bread. Ladle gravy on top of the sandwich. Top each sandwich with cranberry sauce. Serve with green bean casserole on the side. Always use caution when handling sharp objects and hot contents. Please supervise children who are helping or nearby. This recipe has been converted from a larger quantity in the restaurant kitchens. The flavor profile may vary from the restaurant’s version. If ham is part of your Thanksgiving meal, the next recipe is for you. The Holiday Ham Slider with Cranberry-Bacon Jam is a delicious balance of sweet and savory flavors. We used rosemary ham for this recipe, but any variety of ham can be used. Since the Cranberry-Bacon Jam can be refrigerated up to three days, it can be made ahead of time. For a festive treat on Thanksgiving, make a double batch of the Cranberry-Bacon Jam and serve it on the bread of your choice. Holiday Ham Slider with Cranberry-Bacon Jam Recipe Makes 4 servings Ingredients Cranberry-Bacon Jam 3 slices thick cut bacon, chopped 1 small yellow onion, thinly sliced 3 tablespoons brown sugar 1 tablespoon golden balsamic vinegar 1/8 teaspoon salt 2 cups cranberries 1/4 cup orange juice 1/8 teaspoon ground clove Holiday Ham Slider 8 ounces sliced rosemary ham 4 slices Gruyère cheese 4 brioche slider buns, sliced reserved cranberry-bacon jam Instructions Cranberry-Bacon Jam Cook bacon on medium heat in a medium saucepan until crisp. Remove from pan with slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Reserve for later use. Reduce heat to medium-low. Add sliced onion to pan with bacon fat and sauté for 8-10 minutes, until onions begin to brown. Stir in brown sugar, golden balsamic vinegar, and salt. Cook, stirring occasionally for 15 minutes, until onions begin to caramelize. Add cranberries, orange juice, and ground cloves. Increase heat to medium and cook, stirring occasionally for 10-15 minutes, until cranberries begin to burst, and jam has desired consistency. Remove from heat. Stir in bacon. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Holiday Ham Slider Preheat oven to 350ºF. Wrap ham in foil and heat for 5-10 minutes, until ham reaches 165ºF. Evenly divide ham and Gruyère on brioche buns. Top with Cranberry-Bacon Jam. Always use caution when handling sharp objects and hot contents. Please supervise children who are helping or nearby. This recipe has been converted from a larger quantity in the restaurant kitchens. The flavor profile may vary from the restaurant’s version. The final recipe today is Turkey Pot Pie with Cheesy Biscuit Topping. The cheesy biscuit topping adds extra flavor to this dish. If you’re chopping onion, celery, and carrots for your Thanksgiving meal, chop a little extra to save for the Turkey Pot Pie. One quick tip on this recipe: since rice flour does not rise as high as wheat flour, your biscuits may be a little flatter than a traditional biscuit topping. Turkey Pot Pie with Cheesy Biscuit Topping Recipe Makes 6 servings Ingredients 1/4 cup olive oil 1 cup small diced onion 1 cup small diced celery 1 cup small diced carrots 2 tablespoons minced garlic 1/2 cup plus 2 cups rice flour, divided 4 cups vegetable stock 5 cups cooked turkey cut into bite-sized cube 1/4 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme 1/4 teaspoon chopped fresh sage 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper 2 teaspoons baking powder 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon black pepper 6 tablespoons (3/4 stick) unsalted butter, cold, cut into small pieces 1 cup coarsely shredded extra-sharp cheddar cheese 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese 1 1/2 cups heavy cream Instructions Preheat oven to 350°F. Heat oil in large skillet over medium-low heat; add onion, celery, carrots, and garlic. Cook until vegetables are softened and onions are translucent, about 8 minutes. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup rice flour and cook 2 minutes more. Raise heat to medium and whisk in vegetable stock. When mixture simmers, add turkey, thyme, sage, and pepper. Simmer until thickened, 2 to 3 minutes. Combine remaining 2 cups rice flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and pepper in the work bowl of food processor. Pulse to combine. Add butter, cheddar, and Parmesan; pulse 4 or 5 times for 2 seconds each time, until butter is in pea-size pieces. Transfer mixture to large bowl and stir in enough cream until dough holds together. (You may not use all of the cream.) Pat or roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness on lightly floured surface. Trim edges and cut to desired size and shape. Divide turkey mixture among 6 individual oven-safe dishes or ladle into one medium oven-safe casserole dish. Top each individual dish with one biscuit, or top larger casserole dish with all biscuits, leaving a half-inch space between each biscuit. Place casserole dish(es) on baking sheet. Bake until biscuits are golden brown, 23 to 25 minutes. Always use caution when handling sharp objects and hot contents. Please supervise children who are helping or nearby. This recipe has been converted from a larger quantity in the restaurant kitchens. The flavor profile may vary from the restaurant’s version. Are you making these delicious recipes at home? This holiday season at Orlando’s theme parks is a bit like that comfy cardigan you’ve had stowed away for several months. It’s totally familiar, full of memories and, oh, there are a couple of things in the pockets you’ve completely forgotten about. Let’s unpack the proceedings at SeaWorld Orlando and the Disney Jollywood Nights after-hours event at Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park as examples. SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration features multiple activities throughout the day, including “O Wondrous Night,” a stage show with carols and puppets surrounding the birth of Jesus story, and the “Sesame Street Christmas Parade.” Returning to its holiday entertainment lineup after a seven-year absence is “Clyde & Seamore’s Countdown to Christmas.” The stage show starring a pair of sea lions has been reworked but kept a humorous approach and a few local jokes. This year, there’s an unexpected nod to The Villages, although it feels like maybe there was more snark in previous editions. The plot revolves around the attempts to get Santa to visit our two heroes, who are forced to go shopping at the mall. It’s all facilitated by a rhyming elf named Elffred. Also back is a crowd-pleasing mime, a longtime SeaWorld staple, who works the audience during the pre-show and also has a role with the animal actors and the on-stage trainers. The production is a little rusty, one trainer explained. Although Seamore and Clyde pretty much took their cues, Opie the Otter didn’t completely buy into his role and demanded more rewards. But if we’ve learned anything from social media, animals just being animals remains entertaining, even off script. Other SeaWorld options include the shimmering Sea of Trees presentation on the central lagoon, “Elmo’s Christmas Wish” show, “Winter Wonderland on Ice” skating presentation, street performers (stilt walkers, characters, jumping-rope toy soldiers), a “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” walk-through exhibit and “Holiday Reflections,” the fireworks finale. The bulk of SeaWorld’s holiday offerings are included with regular park admission, plus there are specialty food items for purchase. SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration is held on most days through Jan. 5. (Double-check your dates on a calendar at seaworldorlando.com.) It’s the third year of Jollywood at Hollywood Studios, and Disney continues to tweak the event, which is held on select nights through Dec. 22. On an early evening of the event, folks seemed to be delighted by new characters, including Bing Bong from “Inside Out,” Miguel from “Coco”, Chewbacca in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Partysaurus Rex over in Toy Story Land. Chewbacca and friends pose in front of the Millennium Falcon during Disney Jollywood Nights. (Dewayne Bevil/Orlando Sentinel) Chewbacca appears in his red Life Day robe, and official Disney PhotoPass images include guests with Chewy and the Millennium Falcon as backdrop. His queue was long, but Chewy waved to us bystanders frequently. That didn’t feel like “Star Wars” canon, but no one called the Lucasfilm police. The photo line was also long for P. Rex, partially because the character often broke into dance, sending the cuteness factor skyrocketing. Music is still a driver at Jollywood, some in the streets, some in shows like the “Nightmare Before Christmas” singalong and the “Disney Holidays in Hollywood” stage show featuring Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog, who received a ton of applause – more than Mickey? Jollywood visitors seem to be buying into the dressing-up aspect of the event. There were lots of costumes and sequins walking the streets of DHS, and that mixes well with the music and liquor options, which differentiates this event from Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party event at Magic Kingdom. Event-specific food options have been rolled out, including macaroni and cheese with burnt ends and the Jolly Jam Slider at the new Backlot Express installation. (We said no to figgy pudding martini.) This place has “definitely like a gastropub type of vibe,” said John Prieto, executive chef for Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Visitors “wanted something that was very relatable, something comforting and something that was very approachable,” Prieto said. “So we took that concept, and we try to make it look more elevated.” The Gertie cookie, modeled after the iconic Echo Lake dinosaur at Hollywood Studios, is a best-seller during Disney Jollywood Nights. (Dewayne Bevil/Orlando Sentinel) Other new items – there are 35 newbies, Disney says – include eggnog with whisky, jolly gingerbread mini churros, arepas de choclo and the “Monsters, Inc.”-inspired Mike-aroon, a toasted coconut cookie with white chocolate that’s green and topped with a sugar eye. But we now know the No. 1 seller is the Gertie cookie, Prieto said. It’s sold in the shadow of the Echo Lake dinosaur. The treat looks like the Santa-capped structure. “We know we eat with our eyes first. So we definitely want to make it as approachable as possible and as beautiful as possible,” Prieto said. “The Gertie cookies, we hand-dip ourselves, we cut ourselves. We decorate each one by hand,” he said. “A lot of love and effort goes into them, and I think the guests can really tell that.” Email me at dbevil@orlandosentinel.com. BlueSky: @themeparksdb. We’ve got bad news if you’re at Disney World today — the Mobile Order feature on the My Disney Experience app, which allows you to order food from your phone and go pick it up, is currently down. ©Disney Mobile Order can save a lot of time both in the parks, at Disney Springs, and around the Disney World hotels, giving you the option of ordering and picking up your food when it’s ready, bypassing any lines to order in person. Here’s what we know about the outage. As of 11 AM ET on November 18th, the Mobile Order feature is currently down on the My Disney Experience app for Disney World. This means that if you’re looking to order food from a quick-service location, you’ll have to do so in person. Mobile Order sign in EPCOT A widespread CloudFlare outage could be the culprit, though Disney has not confirmed or made any sort of comments about the outage, short of alerting My Disney Experience users to it when they open the app. We saw the following message when we opened our app this morning that said “Mobile Ordering Is Temporarily Unavailable. Mobile ordering is unavailable at this time. Please check back later. We apologize for any inconvenience.” ©Disney And, sure enough, when we clicked on the “Order Food” section of the app, we were greeted with another notification that Mobile Ordering was currently unavailable. ©Disney Hopefully, this outage won’t last for long, as some users have reported that the CloudFlare outages have cleared up by now. Mobile Order is still unavailable, though, so we will have to wait and see. Keep checking your My Disney Experience app for the latest information. One of Disney’s most popular products of the last several years is coming to EPCOT’s International Festival of the Arts in 2026! Festival of the Arts! Introduced several years ago, Lorcana is a Collectible Card Game – or CCG – similar to games like the Pokémon Trading Card Game or Magic: The Gathering. While many engage in competitive play, there are many who just purchase cards for display and collectibility purposes, thanks to their unique artwork of Disney characters. Which brings us to FARTS… According to an announcement on the Disney Parks Blog, “the magic of collecting the Disney Lorcana Trading Card Game will be coming to the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts with exciting activities designed for the whole family showcasing the beautiful artwork on each card.” ©Lorcana Given the festival’s artistic bent — it’s in the name after all — and the popularity of the Lorcana card game, it seems like a perfect mixture of product and event. Plus, if there are limited edition Lorcana cards involved, you can almost guarantee that they will become some of the hottest Disney World collectibles of 2026. ©Lorcana The introduction of Lorcana marks another draw for the Festival of the Arts, which first began in 2017. The 2026 edition of the festival will take place from January 16th through February 23rd, and in addition to Lorcana will be highlighted by the Disney on Broadway Concert Series, food studios that “showcase culinary creativity at its finest”, and Figment’s Brush with the Masters Scavenger Hunt. ©Disney Disney’s popular Lorcana card game is coming to EPCOT’s Festival of the Arts in 2026. Enjoy the next little bit of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, because next year the park will never look the same again! Tree of Life in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Almost the entirety of Disney World is under construction right now. Disney’s Hollywood Studios is building a new animation courtyard, moving The Muppets to Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster, and adding Monsters Inc. to where Muppet’s Courtyard used to be. Meanwhile, Magic Kingdom is getting ready to start building Piston Peak and Villains Land. Then, there’s Animal Kingdom, which will be going through a MASSIVE change! It’s been a tough pill to swallow for many Disney fans, but the beloved Dinoland U.S.A.’s closure is inevitable. Dread it, run from it, destiny arrives all the same. Dinosaur The iconic attraction DINOSAUR, along with The Dino Institute Shop, Restaurantosaurus, and Restaurantosaurus Lounge, will all be closing on February 2nd, 2026. That means the last day to experience the prehistoric land will be February 1st, 2026. It’s sad to say, but we only have a few more months to go back in time and get that Iguanodon. DINOSAUR Dinoland has been changing over the course of the year, as other areas like Dino-Rama and The Boneyard have been closed for a while. It’s been weird walking around that part of the park with walls put up all around it. Pueblo Esperanza Construction As hard as it is to say goodbye to Dinoland, we can’t wait to see what this new Tropical Americas will look like. It’s going to feature an amazing dining experience and two E-Ticket attractions — one themed to Encanto, and the other to Indiana Jones. It’s on its way! The new land will be called Pueblo Esperanza, and it will be a transformation that Animal Kingdom hasn’t seen since Pandora – World of Avatar. The Encanto ride will be completely new, whereas Indiana Jones will be a brand-new ride story, but will take over the Dinosaur show building. If you’re planning on spending Christmas or New Year’s at the Most Magical Place on Earth, we hope you’re ready for those CROWDS! Magic Kingdom While Disney World did away with Park Pass Reservations for most date-based tickets, Annual Passholders and select other groups are still required to make reservations. The holiday season is known for being one of the busiest times of the year in the parks, and it looks like park passes are already SOLD OUT for Magic Kingdom from Christmas Eve to New Year’s. Heads up, Disney fans! Park Pass Reservations Are Currently SOLD OUT for Magic Kingdom from December 24th (Christmas Eve) through December 31st (New Year’s Eve). As of now, New Year’s Day remains open with passes still available. Holiday crowds For now, Magic Kingdom is the only park where passes are sold out, so you still have the opportunity to make a reservation at another park and hop over to Magic Kingdom – assuming it doesn’t reach capacity. We have seen Magic Kingdom and EPCOT reach capacity around Christmas and New Year’s in the past, so keep that in mind if you’re trying to plan a visit. EPCOT on New Year’s Eve If you are planning on park hopping during the holidays, make sure you double-check that the park you’re heading to hasn’t already reached capacity! Disney has a handy-dandy phone number you can call to find out if any parks are sold out before you waste your time hopping to a park you can’t get into. Just call (407) 560-5000, and a prerecorded message will let you know if any parks have reached capacity. Hollywood Studios We definitely recommend utilizing Lightning Lanes during the holiday week. Single Pass, Multi Pass, and Premier Pass will all come in handy if you’re trying to maximize the number of rides you want to experience. This way, you won’t have to deal with those long standby line waits. If you don’t want to dish out the extra dough for Lightning Lanes, your best bet will be to rope drop the parks (get to them before they open so you’re ready to go once they do), stay late into the night when folks with young kiddos have left, or try to ride attractions during mealtimes, parades, or even fireworks (assuming you don’t care about seeing those)! Lightning Lane It’s a great time to visit Disney World, though, with all the festive decor and celebrations happening throughout the resort. These EPCOT World Showcase hacks are getting wilder by the day, and some of them are taking trips to a whole new level. EPCOT’s World Showcase You can visit on the most average weekday and still spot people rolling through with systems, strategies, and color-coded plans that feel like they were crowdsourced by a fleet of theme park commandos. The World Showcase is already a full-day commitment, but these hacks keep pushing the limits in ways that make you wonder if we’ve all just collectively decided to turn snacking around a lagoon into a competitive sport. If you’re heading to EPCOT soon, these are five World Showcase hacks that have officially gotten out of control. Bring Your Own Tray This hack used to feel like something only the most committed festival fans did, but now it’s everywhere. The logic is simple. When you’re juggling three festival dishes, a drink, and the pressure of finding an open table, a lightweight tray becomes your lifeline. Suddenly you’re moving through crowds like a server at a busy restaurant and it actually works. We always bring a tray! It also saves the “oh no I’m spilling sauce down my wrist again” moment that hits all of us eventually. The bonus upgrade is reusable utensils and a washable straw so you can tackle each booth without hunting down cutlery every time. It speeds things up and you end up creating less waste. Hack Your Budget with Gift Cards This one is both brilliant and dangerous. Guests load a gift card with their exact food-festival budget and work strictly from that number. It keeps the impulse buys in check, especially when you’re eight booths deep and thinking a second $12 bun sounds like a solid idea. Gift Card! Some people even grab their gift card using a discount program like the Target RedCard which makes each purchase stretch a little further. Another thing that’s popping up more often is people keeping a small amount of cash on hand. Card readers glitch more than you think and having a backup can save you from abandoning the snack you were seconds away from ordering. Strategic Timing and Routing A lot of first-timers still assume rope dropping is the answer to everything, but the World Showcase doesn’t totally play by those rules. The booths open later, usually around 11 AM, so getting there at park open just means you’re wandering around hungry for hours. World Showcase Veteran guests are doing split-day strategies now. They hit rides in the morning, then switch into full festival mode once the booths open. That flow makes your day much smoother. Another trend that’s growing is skipping weekends altogether. Saturday and Sunday festival crowds are no joke and the booth lines reflect that. Fireworks and Viewing Spots Finding the “perfect” fireworks view has become an entire methodology. Some people start camping out more than an hour before the show and it often spirals into a whole debate about whether it’s worth the lost park time. The reality is that there are so many solid spots that don’t require serious pre-planning. EPCOT fireworks Most nights you can find a view around the lagoon that works just fine even if you arrive shortly before the show begins. Instead of losing the hour you could be eating, strolling, or catching another pavilion performance, it might be worth giving up the idea of perfection here. The Double-Loop Strategy This hack exploded during the busiest festival years and it’s only gotten more intense. Guests take a full lap around the lagoon just to “scout” the items they want. Then they loop again to actually buy everything. It’s a commitment and it sounds logical until you realize how long a full loop really is. 2025 Food and Wine Festival Belgium Booth By the second pass, the Florida heat and festival crowds turn that “smart” plan into a trek that drains your energy fast. Breaking the World Showcase into sections works far better. Pick two or three zones and bounce between booths that are near each other so you’re not treating your festival day like a marathon you didn’t train for. India booth We’ll keep watching these hacks because they truly get more intense every season and staying prepared makes a huge difference at EPCOT’s World Showcase. Looking for recent EPCOT news? Okay, all you chronic Disney World overpackers, raise your hands! (*slowly slides hand into the air guiltily*) What shoes do you wear in the parks? It can be seriously challenging to pack all your park outfits, Minnie ears, Loungefly backpacks, and hotel essentials in your luggage while still saving room for souvenirs on the way home. But you know what’s probably taking up too much space? Shoes! You really only need 3 pairs of shoes for Disney World — allow me to explain. Park Shoes First of all, you’re going to need shoes for the parks. These can vary across a few categories, but they need to meet some key requirements. Most of all, they should be comfortable and broken in. You do NOT want to wear brand-new shoes to Disney World because you’ll end up with blisters by the end of your trip. Brooks Ghost The shoes for your park days should also be able to withstand tens of thousands of steps. Typically, a full park day in Disney World involves 20K+ steps, which is a lot more than most people walk during their day-to-day lives. If you haven’t tested the shoes under such strenuous conditions before, then you might want to do some long walks in them ahead of time to see how they hold up. Avia Women’s Athletic Jumbo Lite You’ll also want to consider how your shoes will weather the…well, weather. If you’re going to Disney World during a typically rainy time, are you okay with these shoes getting wet? If you’re averse to soggy socks, you may want to consider something open-toed. Hoka Women’s Clifton 10 Sneakers Probably the most popular shoes to choose for park days are sneakers/tennis shoes and outdoor activity-focused sandals (like Chacos or Tevas). Of course, you’re not limited to those options, but they’re a good place to start. The Only Shoes You’ll Ever Need for Disney World Pool Shoes The next important pair of shoes you’ll want to bring with you are your pool shoes, which could also be your lounge shoes. These will likely be some type of sandal or flip flop that you wear when chilling at your hotel or heading to the resort pool. Sandals These are also a great option for walking around the Disney World water parks, since you likely won’t want to take sneakers on and off wet, sandy feet all day. These would be the type of shoes that you could quickly slip on and off in an emergency (like if your hotel’s fire alarm goes off in the night – it has happened to us before!). Animal print Crocs These don’t have to be stylish or fancy, and they can honestly be pretty cheap. This is more of a functional shoe than an aesthetic one. Sandals, flip flops, or Crocs fit well in this category. These Are the Shoes That Literally Everyone Is Wearing to Disney World Nice Shoes Finally, our third group is the “nice shoes.” These are the shoes you wear to a night at Disney Springs or a fancy dinner at your hotel. You match them to your dress-up outfit, and you hopefully don’t plan on wearing them for too long. Disney Springs The comfort of these shoes will depend on how long you’re going to keep them on – a pair you’re wearing to Disney Springs needs more longevity than a pair you’re just wearing to dinner at a hotel. But if you’re celebrating a birthday or anniversary or visiting a signature restaurant outside the parks, this type of shoe is a must. These could be your heels, loafers, Oxfords, flats, or boots. More about fashion over function. Citricos and Victoria & Albert’s Hopefully, these tips will help you use your suitcase space more efficiently before your next trip. We know that luggage space is valuable real estate – we’ve gotta save room for souvenirs on the way home! So if you’re trying to shave down your packing list for your next Disney World vacation…maybe start with the shoes! Stay tuned to DFB for more Disney World packing tips! Few snacks from Disney movies are as iconic as the Gray Stuff from Beauty and the Beast. The Grey Stuff Cupcake At the Be Our Guest restaurant, themed after the movie, you can even get it for dessert! So, imagine how excited we were when we saw that there was a new version of the Gray Stuff you could find without booking a reservation at Be Our Guest. That’s right, there’s a new Gray Stuff in town and we’re bringing you with us to check it out. We were strolling through the Creations Shop at EPCOT recently, when we spotted the Gray Stuff cotton candy! It’s billed as a cookies-and-cream-flavored cotton candy, and you can grab it for $6.50. Try the Gray Stuff, it’s delicious! First things first, we didn’t really think this tasted like cookies and cream at all. In fact, initially, we got a sweet, fruity flavor instead. It was pleasant, though, and we think it will still appeal to a lot of people, despite not really tasting anything like cookies and cream. If you’re looking for a fun new flavor of cotton candy, though, this could be a fun treat. New cotton candy flavor If you’re looking for a quick, grab-and-go snack that you can bring with you around the park, or potentially for when you’re heading back to your hotel room, we think this good be a great option. When you’re heading to Disney World, there’s a LOT to pack, and we totally understand that it can feel overwhelming. INIU Portable Charger Thankfully, that’s where we come in! Not only are we inside the Disney World parks nearly every single day and use tons of products to see if they make our days easier or don’t have an effect, but we’ve also had former Cast Members on our team tell us about the products they 100% would not recommend going to Disney World without. We made this list based off their recommendations, and now you know what you’ll want to ensure you have for your next vacation! DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. Never Lose Items in Your Loungefly Again Bag Organizer A Loungefly bag is what a lot of people choose to bring into the parks (many members of our team included), but something we’ve found that happens SUPER easily is that your items get lost inside the bag. Even though it isn’t too large, smaller items get lost, so that’s where the HOYOFO Mini Backpack Organizer comes in! It fits into Loungefly bags easily, and will help you with organization in a heartbeat. Grab it right here! Rain Can Hit At ANY Time Frogg Toggs Poncho Even though the forecast may look sunny with no chance of rain, in Orlando, rain can hit at any time, and it’s best to be prepared. If umbrellas aren’t your thing, then we wholeheartedly recommend the FROGG TOGGS Poncho! Water falls right off of it, it covers your whole body, and it doesn’t stick to your body and make you feel like you’re baking in an oven. Grab it right here! Keep The Sun (and Rain) Off Of You! BAODINI Travel Mini Umbrella If you prefer umbrellas, we recommend the BAODINI Travel Essentials Mini Umbrella, because not only will it keep the rain off of you, but it’s also a UV umbrella, so it’ll help keep you cooler if the sun is beating down as well! Grab it right here! A Little Air Makes A WORLD of A Difference JISULIFE Handheld Mini Fan When it’s summer in Disney World, or if you’re someone who just overheats easily, the JISULIFE Handheld Mini Fan is a must-have for you for sure. It’s small, fits in your pocket or bag super easily, and the fan is powerful enough to make a real difference. It also doubles as a portable charger and triples as a flashlight! Grab it right here! We’ll Never Use A Large Backpack Without This VentaPak Lightweight Ventilation Backpack Spacer If you’re the resident bag carrier in the parks, so you’ve got a big backpack on your back and don’t want to develop those large sweat stains, the VentaPak Lightweight Ventilation Backpack Spacer is totally for you! Not only does it help keep air flowing easily, but it also helps us with our posture, which causes less pain throughout our trip. Grab it right here! Keep That Phone Charged INIU Portable Charger You use your phone for SO much in Disney World, so keeping it charged throughout the day is very important.
