Some of my favorite memories with friends and family were created at local parks where we could play sports, explore playgrounds and host picnics. As more people move to urban areas, it’s more important than ever to have green spaces where kids, families, and friends can enjoy time with each other and connect with nature. I’m delighted to share with you that The Walt Disney Company will make a $1.5 million contribution to the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) to support the Meet Me at the Park program. As part of the program, NRPA and Disney will provide local park and recreation agencies in all 50 states, U.S. territories and Washington, D.C. with the opportunity to apply for a grant that will help increase the amount of time children and families spend at their local parks and improve access to safe, fun and unique play spaces. Additionally, this is the fourth year Meet Me at the Park has come to life to celebrate Earth Month when Disney and NRPA team up to help fund local park improvement projects in 16 U.S. cities. That’s where you come in. YOU and your friends can get involved in the Meet Me at the Park Earth Month campaign by voting for projects in 15 select cities, including Los Angeles, Orlando and New York, to receive $20,000 in grant funding. You also can nominate any city or town for the chance to receive a separate $20,000 grant to support a local park within that community. Voting is taking place now and will continue through April 30. You can vote daily online at www.nrpa.org/DisneyMeetMeAtThePark. The park project with the most votes in each city at the end of the month will receive $20,000 in grant funding. Similarly, the write-in-city with the most nominations at the end of the month will also receive $20,000. This Earth Month (and every month) I hope you have a chance to celebrate Earth at your favorite park! While you are there, take a selfie to encourage your friends to vote, and share it using the hashtags #MeetMeAtThePark, #Parkies and #CelebrateEarth. Actions big or small can help to protect the planet! View the full article

The Disneyland Railroad was one of the opening-day attractions at Disneyland park on July 17, 1955. Walt Disney held a lifelong passion for trains, one that was further inspired by the encouragement and collections of fellow railroad enthusiasts and Disney Legends Ward Kimball and Ollie Johnston. More than 60 years later, the Disneyland Railroad continues to carry passengers on a grand circle tour around Walt’s original Magic Kingdom. In the early morning, Disneyland Railroad technicians and conductors inspect every vehicle and length of track before a new day’s operation. The beautiful north bank of the Rivers of America creates a rustic scene as guests travel across the elevated trestle. A steam engine chugs through the jungles of Adventureland, a stretch of line that hasn’t changed much since Walt signed off on the design more than 60 years ago. For train enthusiasts interested in an in-depth, behind-the-scenes look at the history of the Disneyland Railroad, “The Grand Circle Tour” offers a unique persepective, including the opportunity to board the lavish parlor car, the Lilly Belle. On your next visit to the Disneyland Resort, be sure to sit back, relax and soak in the views of Disneyland park aboard the Disneyland Railroad! View the full article

I’m excited to share with you today the new fun we’ve cooked up for your Disney cruise. We’ve partnered with ABC’s “The Chew” to bring you unique, food-and-beverage-themed Port Adventures that celebrate the stories, cultures and flavors of the places you’ll visit. These one-of-a-kind, culinary-themed Port Adventures are innovative and inspirational, just like the cooking and food trends the daytime talk show explores. Our friends Clinton Kelly, Carla Hall and Michael Symon, hosts of “The Chew,” have given their stamp of approval on these culinary adventures offered in countless destinations across the globe. What’s more, right now we’re working with “The Chew” team to create brand new Signature Collection Port Adventures that will feature recipes from the show prepared by local chefs in our ports of call around the world. Stay tuned to learn more about these special excursions! Are you ready explore the world through food with us? Here’s what’s on the menu … Culinary Classes Master the secrets to creating exotic specialties from around the world during hands-on seminars and programs led by top chefs ashore. From a cooking lesson in Tuscany to a culinary bootcamp on Prince Edward Island and time at the Klipfish Academy in Norway, you’ll learn to prepare local favorites from an expert chef. The best part? Getting to enjoy your creation! Epicurean Adventures Eat, drink and enjoy a little something extra during select Port Adventures where savoring a delicious meal is only half the fun. In Alaska, feast on fresh seafood you’ve just caught on a fishing expedition off the coast of the scenic Tongass National Forest. On your adventures in Italy, compete in a cooking challenge at a local farm after exploring the ruins of Pompeii and the beauty of the Sorrento Coast. Wine & Dessert Work alongside kitchen pros during appetizing port excursions that teach everything from wine appreciation to dessert creation. After touring an 18th-century wine cellar in the Bahamas, you’ll indulge in a 4-course meal with expertly paired wines. During an excursion to discover the legend of Scotland’s Loch Ness Monster, you’ll decorate a cake to artistically express your unique take on the elusive creature. In the coming weeks, I’ll be telling you more about “The Chew”-approved Port Adventures in Europe, Alaska, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and the Bahamas. Remember, when the ship’s in port, venture ashore. View the full article

I recently shared some of my favorite photo-worthy locales at Disney’s BoardWalk, Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, Disney’s Old Key West Resort and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge – Jambo House. But, other Disney Vacation Club Resorts also offer a variety of “can’t miss” patterned and three-dimensional photo op locations (like the one above, taken on the outdoor patio at Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort). Here are a few more of my favorite #WallsofDVC and where you can find them at Walt Disney World Resort. Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows Head to this tropical paradise to find three-dimensional designs with eye-popping patterns. Get lost wandering the Resort and you’ll find plenty. Head towards the stunning over-the-water Bungalows and you might just stumble upon this picture-perfect spot! This wall offers a great background for a selfie, or a full-on modeling session with friends. Play around and enjoy these fun lines. This subtle chevron pattern is located on the walls at Aloha Isle. These cuties are standing right below the sign for this snack stop, but if you’re more than 4 feet tall you might not be able to recreate this exact framing. Regardless, this photo locale gives you and your bestie the perfect excuse to indulge in some Dole Whips – you’ll need them as “props.” Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Disney’s Wilderness Lodge offers décor that’s inspired by America’s National Parks, making it the perfect place to go if you’re looking for photos with an outdoorsy feel. Natural elements like this rock formation, found by the Silver Creek Springs Pool, offer rich texture and a coloring that complements a pair of rose gold ears! If log cabin chic is more your style, mosey on over to Salon by the Springs. Here you’ll find a backdrop that’ll have you channeling your inner Davy Crockett. These are just a few of my favorites, but there’s so many other great backdrops to choose from – I’ve barely scratched the surface. Be sure to share your own favorite photos taken at Disney Vacation Club Resorts on Instagram! View the full article

We’ve got all the latest in our What’s New at Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom! Come along while we share lots of menu changes, loads of 20th Anniversary merchandise, and a few construction updates! Animal Kingdom’s Tree of Life Updated Menus and Eats at Disney’s Animal Kingdom The Smiling Crocodile has dropped the Salmon BLT from the menu, but the Turkey BLT and Pimento-Cheese BLT happily remain! No more Salmon BLT at The Smiling Crocodile Thanks for sticking around, Pimento Cheese BLT! Pimento Cheese BLT The Feeding Ground has added Frozen Lemonade with Mango Rum or Raspberry Vodka. (See where else you can get a brand new spiked drink in Animal Kingdom!) Spiked Frozen Lemonade at The Feeding Ground At Tamu Tamu Refreshments, the Chocolate Waffle has been removed and replaced by a Malva Cake Sundae. Malva Cake Sundae at Tamu Tamu Refreshments Malva Cake The Viperwolf Paw we told you about at Pongu Pongu and the Pandora Ice Cream Cart has been changed. It’s no longer a paw shape, and it’s now called an Almond-Cinnamon Bun. It still looks yummy, but we miss the fun shape. Almond Cinnamon Bun at Pongu Pongu and Pandora Ice Cream Cart Pizzafari has seen a reboot of its menu. Flatbreads have been replaced by circular pizzas once again (save for the Shrimp Flatbread, which thankfully remains!). They’ve also removed the Cheeseburger and the Mediterranean options and added a Sausage and Pepperoni Pizza. Pizzafari Menu Updates Both Hearts of Romaine salads are gone from the menu. Now there’s a basic Caesar Salad with Chicken. Shrimp Flatbread still at Pizzafari They’ve also changed the dessert from Tiramisu to Cannoli Cake! Cannoli Cake now at Pizzafari Meanwhile at delicious Nomad Lounge, the Brisket Poutine is still off the Small Plate Menu. Such a bummer (and a big loss for the menu, since it’s awesome!). No more Brisket Poutine at Nomad Lounge Over at Yak and Yeti Restaurant, the 44 Farms Burger is off the menu, and the Chef’s Fresh Catch is on. Menu Update at Yak and Yeti Restaurant Harambe Market has removed the Tikka Masala Chicken and the Grilled Vegetable Stack. R.I.P. Vegetable Stack! They’ve added a Roasted Vegetables entree to compensate for the absent Stack. The Corn Battered Beef and Pork Sausage has been replaced by simple Pork Sausage (no longer battered, according to the cast member, who says the only battered option left is the kids’ corn dog). And the Beef and Lamb entree (which was a gyro flatbread) is now an actual Gyro. Harambe Market Menu Update And the Safari Cake has replaced the Warm Malva Cake here. Harambe Market Menu Update Flame Tree Barbecue has dropped the Lime Mousse dessert and added Banana Maple Cake. New dessert at Flame Tree BBQ. And all over the park, you can now find that the Lion King-themed snacks and treats have newly updated packaging. Lion King Treats available at various locations Zebra Stripe Popcorn Striped Rice Krispie Treat Spotted Rice Krispy Treat Gummi Spiders Gummi Insects Confetti Popcorn Animal Crackers Eight Spoon Cafe has changed the format of its Baked Macaroni and Cheese. Previously served in a black souffle cup, it’s now served in a cardboard boat. Eight Spoon Cafe Menu And while it looks quite a bit different, on our most recent visit, it was still baked with lots of cheese and just as flavorful. Baked Mac and Cheese with Sweet Chili Shrimp It’s all a little more mixed together now, rather than layered like it was previously. Ultimately, this makes it a little easier to eat, since there’s room to move the toppings around. Baked Mac and Cheese with Shrimp The Dawa Bar has added the Ngumu Jungle Juice served on the rocks rather than frozen. Dawa Bar Menu Caravan Road has removed the Asian Noodle Salad. The menu is now just two items: Teriyaki Beef Slider and Edamame. Caravan Road Menu And Drinkwallah has reopened with the same menu as before its renovation. Drinkwallah Menu Disney’s Animal Kingdom Construction Speaking of the Drinkwallah reno, check out the fantastic new look! Drinkwallah is open! Drinkwallah has reopened The entrance is bit more opened up, making it a little easier to get in and out. Drinkwallah entrance Drinkwallah ordering area Of course the Animal Kingdom details we expect are everywhere — including these auspicious garlands over the ordering counter. But I do kind of miss walking into an actual structure versus having this be a walk-up window like it is now. Drinkwallah details Drinkwallah behind the counter And if you’re looking for it, we’ve found the Way Out! See ya, Drinkwallah! Over in the Tree of Life Garden there are some construction walls, and some animal habitats are blocked off. Walls up in the Tree of Life Garden and some animal viewing areas Pardon our appearance! At Walt Disney World Resort, we are always looking for ways to wow our guests with new technology that enhances their experience. The My Disney Experience app is a perfect example, with recently introduced features like mobile order and online check-in that are providing families and friends with additional choices to make their vacation even more enjoyable and convenient. Today, we are unveiling another exciting app feature: a digital key. Coming soon to Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, a new feature in the My Disney Experience app will allow guests to quickly unlock their hotel room using a digital key on their mobile devices, providing them with another seamless room entry option that brings added ease and flexibility to their experience. Guests can also use their digital key to unlock the hotel entrance gate and common area doors requiring a key, which may include pools, fitness centers, elevators and club level lounges. Arriving travel parties that have checked in online may even use their digital key to bypass the need to visit the front desk, giving them the opportunity to go directly to their room when it is ready and start their vacation even faster. The feature represents the latest evolution of keyless room entry, which we began offering with the MagicBand, the unique all-in-one device that effortlessly connects the vacation choices guests make in My Disney Experience. Guests may use either or both options to enter their room during their stay. So how does it work? To use their digital key, guests can opt in and activate the feature on their check-in day through a brief set up process in the app. To enter their room, guests tap the “Unlock Door” button and then simply hold their phone against the door lock. Check out the video below to see a sneak peek of the feature in action. Bluetooth®-enabled mobile devices with the latest version of the My Disney Experience app are required to take advantage of a digital key for room entry. And don’t forget to wear your MagicBand for all other uses including park entry, FastPass+ redemption, room charges and more. We will have more to share soon about the digital key feature and other future enhancements to the app, so be sure to read the Disney Parks Blog for the latest information and updates on My Disney Experience – your one-stop-shop for all things Walt Disney World during your visit. If you haven’t been to the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival at the Disneyland Resort yet, you must come out and experience it! This year’s festival has been the tastiest yet – celebrating the best food, wine and craft beers that California has to offer. With 15 Festival Marketplaces that have plenty of options, there’s something for everyone. The festival runs through April 12, 2018, so there’s still plenty of time to come on out and experience it for yourself. I just had to share some of my favorite eats, so read on to find out about the best of the best of this year’s festival! I’ll start the list with my personal favorite dish straight from the Cluck-a-Doodle-Moo Marketplace: Salt & Beer Vinegar Parmesan Chicken Wings! These savory wings are tossed in a special mix of salt and parmesan cheese and spritzed with a mist of beer vinegar to give it the extra fresh flavor. Also at this booth is one of my top drinks – a non-alcoholic Orange-Vanilla Cream Float, which is topped with whipped cream and pieces of vanilla cake. Right across from Cluck-a-Doodle-Moo on Paradise Pier are the Garlic Kissed and Off The Cob Marketplaces. Now if you’re a mac and cheese fan, you’ll definitely want to try the Creamy Mac & Cheese at Garlic Kissed. It comes topped with a garlic bread crumble… and it’s also vegetarian! At Off The Cob, you’ll find several yummy options that are perfect on-the-go snacks. The first is the Sweet Corn Nuggets. These savory little nuggets are topped with beef chili and chives with sour cream drizzled on top. And on the sweet side, you should definitely try the Caramel Popcorn Crispy Treat. This little treat comes in the form of a pop on a stick and is dipped in chocolate, and it has my mouth watering just writing about it! Now, after you’ve taken in all the sweet and salty goodness, you might be in need of a refreshing drink to enjoy while you stroll on to the next marketplace. For this, you can sip on the non-alcoholic Popcorn Lemonade Cocktail, which comes topped with whipped cream and is decorated with candy corn. Moving on to greener pastures, you can find the Eat Your Greens Marketplace right across from Wine Country Trattoria. Here, you have to try the crisp and cool dish of Compressed Asian Cucumbers. Fun fact about this dish – it’s vegan! This dish also comes topped with green sauce, toasted almonds and sea beans. And if you’re looking for another vegetarian option, you can look to the Grilled Asparagus Caesar Salad, drizzled with Caesar dressing and topped with crunchy croutons. But there’s also an amazing beverage here that all of you adults won’t want to miss out on – the Beet Kombucha Sangria. This bright and tasty drink is the perfect complement to any of these dishes, it even has a couple blackberries mixed in to add that extra “oomph!” Speaking of “oomph”…on the menu at the Avocado Time Marketplace, the Spiced Oumph! has been the talk of the festival this year! Served on pita bread with avocado hummus and garlic sauce, this delicious dish is another one of our vegan bites this year. Also on the menu at Avocado Time is the Avocado & Pepper Jack Petite Guacamole Burger. This juicy slider-sized burger is sure to make your mouth water. No matter what you get here, though, the Avocado Ice Cream Bar is the perfect dessert to follow your tasting spree, especially on a warm day. Another dessert that you won’t want to miss can be found at the Strawberry Patch Marketplace – it’s the Strawberry & Coconut Rice “Frushi” with Sweet Oikos Greek Nonfat Yogurt Wasabi Sauce. This fruit dessert goes perfectly with a glass of Strawberry Frosé, too, or even a non-alcoholic Strawberry Pineapple Float with Strawberry Popping Pearls. Now if you’re looking for something a bit more spicy than sweet, then the Peppers Cali-Ente Marketplace is the place to go! Here you can try the Jalapeño Popper Mac & Cheese with Bacon or the Verlasso Sustainable Salmon Peruvian Poke with a cucumber-lime salad and aju verde salsa. Both of these dishes can be paired with a refreshing Lime Margarita garnished with jalapeño or a non-alcoholic Watermelon Lemonade, served with an optional habanero sugar and chili-lime half-rim. So after you’ve spent the day tasting and sipping all of those delicious eats, you might be in the mood for a bit of relaxation with a snack an a cold, refreshing beer. The best spot for this is certainly Paradise Garden Grill and the Festival Beer Garden. Here you can either enjoy a tall glass of beer or try a few different brews with a special Beer Garden Flight. And what better snack to enjoy with that beverage than a Large Soft Pretzel served with a Beer-Mustard Dipping Sauce? This location is also the perfect place to sit back and relax while you listen to the sounds of live music underneath a canopy of trees. There you have it! My list of just a few of the amazing dishes at this year’s Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. If you’re looking for a full list of marketplaces and offerings, check out my Foodie Guide post or my Festival Events post. What are some of your favorite dishes from the Festival Marketplaces? Today we’re bringing you a special Port Orleans Resort-themed What’s New! We always love an excuse to visit Port Orleans — French Quarter because of the beautiful landscaping, impeccably festive decor, and fun vibes. Port Orleans — French Quarter Just kidding. We mostly come for the Beignets. (But the other stuff is great, too!) Beignets at Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter The food court at Port Orleans — French Quarter is dubbed the Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory, highlighting the resort’s location on the Sassagoula River and the colorful Mardi Gras-style float pieces that used to fill the space (you’ll still spot a few since the court’s reno in 2016). Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory Mardi Gras Parade Props Near the Ceiling At present, you’ll also spot this super-cute Bunny Cupcake in the case. The use of coconut might be a little expected, but we’re on board. Bunny Cupcakes! We also had a reader question recently about Po’ Boys at French Quarter. They aren’t listed on Sassagoula’s official DisneyWorld.com menu — prompting some panic that maybe they’d been removed. But they’re currently there for now. They may disappear later, but for now…they’re safe. Po’Boys are still on the menu! Po’Boys on the menu! The Catfish Po’ Boy we enjoyed a couple of years ago is still an option! That breading is stellar! Catfish Po’Boy In resort activity news, Painting on de’ Bayou is still available! This guided painting session is $35, and you get to take the resulting artwork home with you! We love that this souvenir is a one-of-a-kind experience, not just another thing. Painting on de’ Bayou And how awesome is the example they’ve got on display? Painting on the Bayou example At French Quarter’s pool bar — Mardi Grogs — guests can now pick up a fan-favorite snack! Mardi Grogs Pool Bar at Port Orleans — French Quarter The Pepper Jack Pretzel we’ve seen at The Lunching Pad in Magic Kingdom is now available here! We gotta say, this version is a little darker than what we’ve come to expect, but it looks as plump as ever. Pepperjack-stuffed Pretzels! Here’s The Lunching Pad’s version so you can see this beauty up close! Pepper Jack Pretzel And you can still grab a Mickey Pretzel here, too! Here’s to making those pool days hot and doughy! Beautiful Mickey Pretzel Over at French Quarter’s sister resort Port Orleans — Riverside, we’ve found two sweet additions. Outside The Riverside Mill at Port Orleans — Riverside Cheesecake topping options at The Riverside Mill now include Caramel! (Strawberry and Chocolate have been options for a while now.) All three are on display in the dessert case. Caramel added as a topping for cheesecake And guests can now pick up a Bayou Blender! This is Riverside’s name for milkshakes (and we love it!). They come in three flavors: Strawberry Cheesecake, Oreo, and Banana Pudding. One of each, please! Bayou Blenders available! And now, before we leave, a Sassagoula moment of zen, just because. Disney Parks Moms Panelist, Jackie P., loves nothing more than spending time with her family at the Walt Disney World Resort. Her family of four makes the pilgrimage from Canada to Orlando several times a year, as do many of our guests. However, when Jackie plans her vacations she must consider the needs of her autistic, teenage son. She finds this a much less difficult task thanks to the services for guests with cognitive disabilities that Walt Disney World Resort offers. “The Walt Disney World Resort takes great strides to afford all guests a safe and enjoyable experience through many online planning guides directing attention to extensive services keeping guests with special needs in mind,” she said. Jackie explained the services for guests with cognitive disabilities offers suitable strategies and services for the benefit of guests with cognitive disabilities, including Autism, such as: The Guide for Guests with Cognitive Disabilities containing helpful tips, information for Wheelchair and Stroller rentals, the Rider Switch service, advice for utilizing Disney FastPass+ service, the Disability Access Service (DAS), as well as additional individual service needs that can be discussed with a cast member at any theme park Guest Relations. Pages 12 and 13 of this guide offer excellent sample itinerary planning from the perspective of a ‘Visual Schedule Board’ so often used by many caregivers of family members with Autism, or any cognitive condition requiring visual aids to ease transition and aid with acclimatization. This guide also contains useful suggestions for acclimatization and comfort to decrease the impact of any external triggers, or stressors. Great care was taken for the development of this guide, taking every possible consideration in mind to afford guests on the Autism spectrum a more comfortable experience. Of great value are the suggestions for quieter areas for de-escalation near select attractions, rides and direction to all Baby Care and First Aid Centers in all Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, as well as suggestions for Companion Restrooms Resort-wide. The link includes Walt Disney World Resort Attraction Details which stipulates attraction specifics such as scents/smells, flashing lights, loud noises, periods of darkness, bumps, speed, lifting off the ground, wet, elements of surprise, types of restraints, amount of time and FastPass+ service or not. Special Dietary Request information is also provided in consideration and awareness of most food intolerances, dietary needs and food allergies. For more advice regarding planning your trip with a special needs guest, or to ask questions about planning your upcoming Disney vacation, please be sure to visit DisneyParksMomsPanel.com for a personalized response from our knowledgeable panel. Our Disney Doodles series explores what a Disney character – or characters – may do or see first if they had the chance to visit a Disney Park. We’re kicking off the month of April by taking a look at what Anastasia and Drizella, the pouty stepsisters from “Cinderella” might do if they visited Magic Kingdom Park. According to artist Ashley Taylor, the fact that they’d have to steer themselves around some attractions – like the Tomorrowland Speedway – may catch the spoiled sisters off guard. “I’d hate to be the cast member who has to tell Anastasia and Drizella that they need to drive themselves around the Tomorrowland Speedway!” Ashley said. “I can imagine each lap would be filled with pouts!” View the full article

Here at the DFB, we love all things Disney dining. And that includes merchandise designed to make our dining a little more Disney — even at home! So imagine our wonder when we discovered a line of Alice in Wonderland tea party dishware and accessories in the United Kingdom Pavilion at Epcot. Epcot’s United Kingdom Pavilion Now I know they’ve had Alice merch in the parks before. Even whimsical dining choices. But we were so excited to see an entire line of BRAND NEW dishware, tea cups, creamers — the works! — featuring everyone’s favorite little girl in the blue dress! The set includes a beautiful Teapot with sketches of Alice, the White Rabbit, the Cheshire Cat, and the Mad Hatter! And of course, “it’s always tea time!” Alice in Wonderland Tea Pot The set’s Creamer features a whimsical sketch of a flamingo, as well as a quote on the back. Alice Creamer Alice Creamer The Sugar Bowl features the White Rabbit and the important question: One lump or two? Alice Sugar Bowl Shakers bear the likeness of Tweedle Dee (you can just make out his name on his collar). Tweedle Dee Shakers Naturally there must be a Cup and Saucer! Alice in Wonderland Cup and Saucer And for those who prefer a Mug for their tea, you get the Queen of Hearts! Queen of Hearts Mug This next piece is a fantastic addition to any dishware collection. It’s a two-level Tea Sandwich Serving Tray. We love the colorful sketches on both plates and the heart-shaped handle. Tea Sandwich Serving Tray You can also pick up a foursome of Plates, featuring White Rabbit, Cheshire Cat, Mad Hatter, and Alice. White Rabbit Plate Mad Hatter Plate Cheshire Cat Plate Alice Plate Finally, there are bright and colorful Tea Towels, with the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire Cat, Alice, and the Queen of Hearts. Alice in Wonderland Tea Towels The colorful details are so cheerful, we can’t help but to smile when we look at these. If you’re planning to visit The Edison in Disney Springs, you’ll want to know about something new coming to the menu. The Edison Actually, make that something new to the menu EVERY MONTH, as April will kick off the new Burger of The Month Series! For the first-ever Burger of the Month, April will deliver The Edison’s Farmhouse and Cheese Burger in honor of National Toasted (Grilled) Cheese Month. (Bonus points if you try it on April 12th: Grilled Cheese DAY!) April’s Farmhouse and Cheese Burger ©The Edison You can expect gooey layers of fontina, muenster, gruyere, and Alpine Swiss along with The Edison’s signature blend of sirloin, short rib, brisket, and smoked bacon — all tucked between four slices of bread. In-season Florida tomatoes will top off the burger. Take our word for it: this could be a really great kickoff, because The Edison knows what it’s doing when it comes to Grilled Cheese. Gooey Grilled Cheese at The Edison Recommended pairings for the Farmhouse and Cheese Burger are Founders IPA or The Billionaire Cocktail (Knob Creek Bourbon, Brevans Abssinthe, Agnostura Bitters, lemon juice, simple syrup, and grenadine). The Edison is the centerpiece of the new late night scene in Disney Springs, and while the venue remains open until 1:00 or 2:00 AM, dinner service ends a bit earlier (around 10:00 or 11:00 PM). But between lunch and dinner, that still gives you plenty of hours to try the Burger of the Month! Check out our full review of The Edison here!
