This Halloween season, guests of all ages are sure to have a ghoulishly good time at the new Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party at Disney California Adventure park. This separately-ticketed party is packed with exclusive new entertainment and experiences, including the new “World of Color” spectacular – “Villainous!” Tweens will be treated to multiple new experiences – including the new interactive DescenDANCE Party and more! Here’s what’s in store: DescenDANCE Party – A new pulsing party in the Backlot area of Hollywood Land is inspired by the popular “Descendants” franchise from Disney Channel. As the DescenDANCE Party begins, a spell is cast, summoning the greatest dance crew from the Isle of the Lost to throw down and lead everyone in moves that are set to the biggest hit songs from all three “Descendants” movies. The original “Villain Kids” might even crash the party through magic mirrors. Once the DescenDANCE crew returns to their realm, the Backlot DJ continues to spin tunes that will make any “Villain Kid” proud, inviting everyone to step onto the dance floor into the night. “Villainous!” – The new “World of Color” show weaves a Halloween tale about a young girl named Shelley Marie. This twisted tale carries Shelley on an unforgettable journey, exploring the villainous side of Disney characters through fountains, lights, lasers, projections and special effects. “Villainous!” shows that, deep down, there’s a little villain in all of us. Character encounters – Tweens will love meeting beloved Disney characters – and villains, too. You may be surprised at who you discover at this Halloween party, like Dr Facilier, Jafar and Maleficent! Immersive Treat Trails – Trick-or-treating is not just for little kids! There is so much to see at the new, wonderfully wicked treat trails throughout the park. Iconic characters such as Mad Hatter from Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland,” or even Oogie Boogie himself will surprise and delight. Additional treat trails will feature oversized cauldrons full of treats for all guests to enjoy. “Frightfully Fun Parade” – The favorite Halloween parade is coming to Disney California Adventure park for the first time! The Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow starts the procession, followed by Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse who lead the cavalcade of characters and many mischievous Disney villains who are ready to stir up some trouble along the parade route. This spook-tacular Halloween party is only offered on 20 select nights this fall. For more information and tickets to Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party at the Disneyland Resort visit Disneyland.com/HalloweenParty. Also, be sure to catch “Descendants 3” this August on Disney Channel. View the full article

It certainly looks like Alien Pizza Planet is here to stay in Disneyland’s Tomorrowland. Pizza Planet Rocket This spot, which was once Redd Rockett’s Pizza Port, was originally announced as a temporary dining experience during last year’s Pixar Fest… but the theming has stuck around far beyond the Fest. So while it’s not a huge surprise considering how long the “temporary” overlay has remained, it’s now also been revealed that part of the current refurbishments to the space included the repainting of the Moonliner Rocket to feature the Pizza Planet logo. The Alien Pizza Planet overlay to Redd Rockett’s Pizza Port is not the first of its kind. You know Red Rose Tarverne in Fantasyland? Well, that was originally the Village Haus, and Red Rose Taverne was likewise to be a temporary “pop-up” restaurant to celebrate Beauty and the Beast. Pizza Planet Rocket And now, well over two years later, Red Rose Taverne is still with us… just like Alien Pizza Planet, as it appears! Currently, the Disneyland website is showing that Alien Pizza Planet will reopen from its current refurbishment beginning at 10:30 AM tomorrow, May 24th. So, head on over the grab a bite of pizza and check out the scene if you’re around tomorrow! And before ya do, make sure you check out our current Alien Pizza Planet review! Last month, the spitting camel which stands in front of The Magic Carpets of Aladdin in Magic Kingdom’s Adventureland had suddenly gone missing. We were pretty sure that it was just being taken back for a little renovation. Spitting Camel And that must’ve been the case, because POOF! The camel has returned to its original spot! But, oddly enough, it seems to be acting a little strange… We’re guessing this is just some sort of mechanical issue that will quickly be resolved. But, the spitting camel isn’t really shooting water at guests at the moment. Spitting Camel Instead, the water just seems to be leaking out of its neck. Like we said, we assume this issue will be resolved quickly and that the spitting camel will soon return to “surprising” guests with its presence (and an unexpected spray of water) as they walk through Adventureland! Spitting Camel Spitting or not…we’re still happy to see that it’s back in its original spot! What’s your favorite OR least favorite water blaster in Disney World? Let us know in the comments below! Loaded Fries in Magic Kingdom? Sure, we’ve had our share of those… But Loaded Onion Rings? Loaded Onion Rings at Golden Oak Outpost Well, this is a new one for us! And they’re now available at Golden Oak Outpost in Frontierland. Currently, the menu simply reads “Loaded Onion Rings,” but you actually have two choices: Bacon and Cheese Onion Rings or Chili Cheese Onion Rings. Golden Oak Outpost Menu (Speaking of the menu, the new offering has taken the place of the previous Jalapeno Poppers and Fried Cauliflower at the Outpost.) Golden Oak Outpost Menu In both cases, the golden onion rings that make up the base are thick, hearty, and nice and crispy. Loaded Onion Rings And if you LOOOOOOVE plastic cheese the way we do, then we’re happy to say you can’t go wrong with either! GOBS of cheese sauce are poured atop both, but with an edge going to the Chili Cheese in our order. Chili Cheese Loaded Onion Rings But the Chili Cheese won over the Bacon and Cheese in two ways, since the chili here is rich with spice and flavor. That said, there is also an ample amount of bacon on the Bacon and Cheese Onion Rings, and we actually thought we’d prefer those upon learning about the options. Bacon and Cheese Loaded Onion Rings But the bacon bits simply aren’t that good compared to a regular cut, and lack much of a flavor punch. Overall, the Chili Cheese Onion Rings simply come together as a better dish. Chili Cheese Loaded Onion Rings And “dish” is the operative word, because both are so filling that each could make a meal in its own right, or a really fun shareable side item or snack. They’re always changing things up at the Outpost, so be sure to mosey on over next time you’re in Frontierland to see what’s up! Will you be trying the Loaded Onion Rings? Colorful new treats have arrived at Trolley Treats in Disney California Adventure. Rainbow Cookie and Cupcake at Trolley Treats In honor of Pride month, Rainbow treats currently spotted in the confection case include a Rainbow Cupcake and a Rainbow Mickey Mouse Sugar Cookie. Cookies inside Trolley Treats Case The Rainbow Cupcake is $5.99 (before the Annual Passholder discount, if you have one). Rainbow Cupcake What you see is what you get with this one: a simple vanilla cupcake topped with colorful buttercream and chocolate Mickey ears. Despite its bright appearance, though, we’re sad to say the actual flavor was pretty bland, so we wouldn’t recommend this particular choice. The Rainbow Mickey Mouse Frosted Sugar Cookie ($3.99) sports a ton of frosting drizzled in various hues over the classic sugar cookie. You can’t even see the actual cookie for all of it! Rainbow Frosted Cookie This sweet treat carries better flavor so wins our pick between the two. However! Consider yourself warned that lots of that color will end up on your hands and teeth. So grab some napkins and plan a post-stop at a sink and everything will be just fine . These treats join an extensive collection of merchandise — the Rainbow Disney Collection – in honor of Pride month in Disneyland. You can check out the full line by clicking here! And be sure to visit our Disneyland page for more Disneyland food fun! Will you be trying a Rainbow treat? Please let us know with a comment! We know that many of you planned your Disney World vacation BEFORE the Galaxy’s Edge dates were released, so we want to do our best to help you navigate and alleviate the stress of some of those crowds! If you’re a morning person then you’re in for a treat with new EXTRA Extra Magic Hours! Not sure what that means? No problemo — we’re gonna tell you all about it! Regular Extra Magic Hours allow Disney World hotel guests to access the parks with low crowds first thing in the morning to enjoy the cooler temps, shorter lines, cool photos with fewer guests, etc. Now…you HAVE to be staying at a Disney resort in order to have access to these Extra Magic Hours. This is one of the many perks that Disney puts in place to get you to stay at one of their hotels over off-property hotels. Mine Train So, what are Extra Extra Magic Hours and why were they created? Well, Disney often has Extra Magic Hours, but these are typically just an hour or two in the morning or evening at the parks. Extra Extra Magic Hours are additional park hours that have been added for resort guests DAILY. Our guess is that Disney has done this to try to alleviate some of the Galaxy’s Edge crowds since an insane amount of guests will be heading to the parks for the opening of the new land this fall. Galaxy’s Edge is set to open on August 29th, which is why the Extra Extra Magic Hours will be offered every day starting September 1. They will continue until November 2, 2019, at the following theme parks and times. Hollywood Studios Okay friends, so the park that will be affected by the Extra Extra Magic hours the most will be Hollywood Studios. This park is going to be open at 6:00 AM and the EXTRA hours will last until 9:00 AM DAILY in an attempt to alleviate some of the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge crowds. TWO sets of Extra Magic Hours for Magic Kingdom on some dates The catch is that these hours come so dang early you will literally have to get up around 4 or 4:30 in the morning if you want to rope drop this park to experience Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Toy Story Land attractions and more. Of course, people are going to flock to Galaxy’s Edge during this time, which makes total sense as the crowds will be substantially lower during the extra magic hours in the morning than they will be when non-resort-guests are allowed to visit later in the day. Disney has noted that Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and its experiences are subject to capacity…meaning that it isn’t guaranteed that you will get in! Star wars: Galaxy’s Edge Concept Art We’re speculating that this might also shift some of the Disney’s Hollywood Studios crowds in the afternoon as we’re guessing that people may leave the park to go somewhere else when the hours are over to avoid the incoming non-resort-guest visitors. And note that lines to enter the land should still be expected. It’s easy to assume that the later it gets in the morning the larger the crowds will be. BUT as we said above, MAYBE, just maybe, Extra Extra Magic Hour crowds in Hollywood Studios will leave when the hours are over and free up space for those waiting. But, we’re guessing that it’s still gonna be an “early bird gets the worm” thing for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. If you’re PUMPED for Galaxy’s Edge and want to learn more about the upcoming land — click here! Resistance Supply in Galaxy’s Edge If you’re a morning person I think this can be really useful for you, even if you aren’t interested in Star Wars. Everyone will likely be heading straight for Galaxy’s Edge, so if you visit the other locations you will likely be able to knock out the rest of the park before Studios officially opens. Animal Kingdom Animal Kingdom will also be getting a few Extra Extra Magic Hours. Starting on the same dates, Animal Kingdom — including Pandora – The World of Avatar and other attractions throughout the park — will be open for these extra hours from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM daily. This is going to be a GREAT opportunity to hop on Flight of Passage as we assume that most of the crowds will be rushing to Galaxy’s Edge. Take advantage of this system, folks, and use these hours to your advantage! It should be much simpler once Galaxy’s Edge opens to knock out big-ticket attractions since most people will choose to knock out Studios during that time. Pandora — The World of AVATAR Magic Kingdom Magic Kingdom will also be getting these Extra Extra Magic hours. Disney has said that the attraction will include favorites in Fantasyland and Tomorrowland. The park will be open from for these extra hours from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM daily! I’m thinking this will really be a great time to enjoy Magic Kingdom crowd-free. You might even be able to get a few photos in front of the castle without hundreds of people in the background! Cinderella Castle We also think that it might be a good idea to get a mid-morning advance dining reservation at Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom. This will give you a nice break after the Extra Extra Magic Hours and will allow you to chill a bit before a crowded afternoon! Epcot So, what about Epcot? The Epcot Food & Wine Festival will already be driving crowds through the roof from 11AM to closing at this park. And though Epcot isn’t receiving the morning magic hours, it might be a great park to hit first thing in the morning while folks are doing Extra Extra Magic Hours in other parks and before food booths open. Read all about the 2019 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival here! We really think this will be a good time to get in a couple popular rides like (Test Track and Soarin’, in that order if you ask me), and start the day with (possibly) calmer crowd levels. Then you will be able to hit the Food and Wine booths as soon as they open (11AM). This will leave you with the ability to escape the park in the afternoon/evening to head elsewhere. Soarin’ Around the World at Epcot A Few Closing Notes Our guess for what is going to happen throughout Disney World overall once these hours are implemented is that there will be more park mobility. We assume more people are going to be going from park to park with Park Hoppers as they try to navigate crowds while maximizing Extra Extra Magic Hours. And a few things for you guys to note: Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party dates occur during this time, meaning the party will clear out Magic Kingdom on select nights. So, make sure you are making time for a Magic Kingdom night if you are not attending a party. We also think that the Party might actually be a good way for you guys to get in more rides with smaller crowds. This will be really useful for you, especially if you have a really tight schedule during your vacation! Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Map Also, often late night hours are good times, too, so you night owls aren’t totally out of luck! Maybe try hitting up an Extra Extra Magic Hour park, taking a nap, and then going out again in the evening, so you can still get your well-deserved beauty sleep! So, if you aren’t a Star Wars family, we really think that these Extra Extra Magic Hours will be useful for you! And if you are, you already know…get there early and may the Force be with you. Welcome to ADVENTURELAND! Adventureland Sign The new Adventureland entrance sign has made its debut (and simultaneous return) in Disneyland. Adventureland entrance You see, the newly placed sign which now greets guests post-refurbishment reuses portions of the previous entry marquee, according to The Orange County Register. And the sign itself looks a lot like it did previously. The primary difference guests will notice is the widening of the pathway into the land, which the sign entirely stretches across. In our Disney Doodles series, Disney artists take turns imagining what different Disney characters would do or see first if they had the chance to visit a Disney park. Today, artist Ashley Taylor envisions that Flit from “Pocahontas” would be drawn to the beautiful flower arrangements at the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. “The Flower and Garden Festival attracts both guests and wildlife to see the beautiful flower arrangements!” Ashley said. “It’s easy to imagine Flit enjoying all of those flowers.” View the full article

The heat is on in central Florida, where summer comes early and stays late, but if you’re at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Pineapple Lanai is the place to go to stay cool. That’s because you’ll find Dole Whip here year-round — including two recent additions: Lime and Lemon. We turned these into a sweet swirl with a Dole Whip hack a couple weeks ago, and now… there’s MORE! Raspberry Dole Whip has arrived at Pineapple Lanai! And it gets better: guests can swirl it with lime for what’s angling to be the most refreshing frozen treat in the World! Raspberry-Lime Dole Whip Swirl at Pineapple Lanai! Our pal Kristen from WDWforGrownups.com gave us a peek at this treat, and let’s just say, we need to get our hot little hands on it ASAP! Up till now, the only place to find raspberry Dole Whip has been Aloha Isle in Magic Kingdom where it’s used to craft the Hei Hei Character Cone. (Click here to see why we called the Hei Hei cone the cutest cone ever!) So, anyway, if you need us we’ll just be gettin’ our swirl on over at the Poly. Aloha until the next fabulous Dole Whip news! Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is opening NEXT week in Disneyland. And WE. CANNOT. WAIT! Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge ©Disney We’ve been covering everything from Galaxy’s Edge menu options to merchandise and ride facts, and we thought we’d knew just what to expect on the planet of Batuu. But then we heard about this… The OC Register shared a post which gave details about a slimy, one-eyed space squid that will be lurking in the “murky water of a glass cistern tank feeding a Disneyland drinking fountain.” When someone bends down to take a sip…a creature just might POP up to greet you. So…have those cameras ready for some funny moments. Not only will you possibly see the creature, but you might hear it as well, since it will be lurking in the pipes connected to the water fountain and the bathroom. This space squid is actually an audio-animatronic Dianoga that will call the pipes of the drinking fountain his home. The Walt Disney Imagineering executive creative director Chris Beatty said that “the sewer system contains a Dianoga to handle the sewer challenges that this outpost would have.” And big Star Wars fans might actually recognize this creature, as he’s the one that nearly drowned Luke Skywalker in A New Hope. A hairy one-eyed space squid suddenly appears when Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge visitors get a drink of water. (Courtesy of starwars.com) Now when it comes to the size of this creature, be prepared because the Beatty also shared that “This isn’t some baby Dianoga living in the Galaxy’s Edge subterranean pipes. It’s a full-size hairy eyestalk just like the one seen in the first Star Wars film.” Disney has also shared that there are little moments like these sprinkled throughout the park, so keep those eyes peeled! After learning about this creature…we really don’t know what all Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will offer. It’s really happening….can you believe it? All-Star Movies seems to be rolling out lots of delicious snack options lately. I mean we literally just reviewed a SUPER yummy Peaches and Cream cupcake that happens to be the perfect summer treat. Key Lime Cheesecake And now, we’ve tried the NEW Key Lime Cheesecake treat as well! We’ve seen cheesecakes like this before, but this one seems to be a little different. The Key Lime Cheesecake is a plain vanilla cheesecake with key lime mousse, glaze, and graham cracker crumbles on top. Key Lime Cheesecake We were pretty obsessed with the key lime mousse on top. But, the glaze didn’t really taste like anything, though it was sweet. Key Lime Cheesecake So, pretty much this is a classic cheesecake topped with a sugary glaze and delicious key lime mousse. So go ahead and dive into this yummy treat spoon first! Key Lime Cheesecake The portion was really nice and you can get it for $5.29 or a snack credit if you’re on the Disney Dining Plan. Try this one out and let us know what you think! Related posts: Two NEW Princess-Themed Cupcakes Available in Walt Disney World! Peaches and Cream Cupcake And today we found another new cupcake we’re super excited about! And that icing happened to be the best part! (: If you find yourself at the All-Star Movies resort, you’ve got to try the new Peaches and Cream cupcake. Peaches and Cream Cupcake This delicious treat is a yellow cake topped with peach buttercream, vanilla buttercream, edible glitter, and sprinkles. Peaches and Cream Cupcake We LOVED the peach buttercream because it really tasted like a peach! The little dabs of white buttercream made us think of French vanilla ice cream, which was super yummy. The cake itself was baked perfectly, and we’re a sucker for anything sparkly, so really this treat was a winner in our books! Peaches and Cream Cupcake The Peaches and Cream cupcake can be found at All-Star Movies for $5.49 or one snack credit if you are a part of the Disney Dining Plan!
