  1. We see a LOT of Disney souvenirs. Everything from ears to MagicBands, pins, clothes, and more, if there’s an item with something Disney on it, someone on our team has probably seen it. So when we say these items will probably go viral, we mean it. ©Disney We found four items we wouldn’t be surprised if they sold out FAST. I’m already eyeing the blanket, so you’d better grab it quick! DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. Toy Story Reversible Retro Quilt ©BoxLunch OBSESSED! This quilt reminds me of the ones I had as a kid and it’s giving all the nostlgic vibes. It’s reversible, with one side being all for Buzz Lightyear and space-themed, and the other being Western and Woody-themed. This would look so cute in a little kid’s room who is obsessed with Toy Story or a great blanket to grab during movie night. SHOP NOW Powerline Loungefly Mini Backpack ©BoxLunch For more childhood nostalgia, you probably need this Powerline backpack! It has the Powerline band on it, along with Max dressed up as a member. I love the bright purple and bold yellow meboidery and these backpacks are a great size to hold everything you need. SHOP NOW Minnie Mouse Valentine’s Ears ©Disney BaubleBar ears are always popular, and these are a perfect example. The ears are red with a pink bow in the middle. The sheer bow is gorgeous, and the embroidery and ribbons are already perfectly trendy with a classic look. These are great for Valentine’s Day or when you just need a pair of red ears. SHOP NOW Princess Active Dress ©Disney This pink dress is so fun! The pattern has roses on it, but when you look closer, you can see different icons for different princesses like Cinderella’s glass slipper, Jasmine’s genie lamp, Ariel’s shell, and Tiana’s lilypad. We would totally wear this down Main Street for those perfect castle pics. SHOP NOW Make sure you keep following Disney Food Blog for more! View the full article
  2. If you’re looking to get on as many rides as possible during a day at Magic Kingdom, you’ll want to know this FREE trick. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Of course, if you want to get on as many rides as possible, the simplest solution is to add on Lightning Lane Multi Pass, Single Pass, or Premier Pass to your park tickets. However, Lightning Lane is NOT a free skip-the-line service, and those prices add up fast (some faster than others — looking at you, Premier Pass). While you may be resigned to limiting yourself to just a handful of Magic Kingdom rides per day, it’s important to understand one major truth: getting on Magic Kingdom rides in a reasonable amount of time doesn’t require a ton of extra money spent or a boatload of luck — it requires fantastic time management. Magic Kingdom is quite literally the most visited theme park in the world, so banking on the park being empty is more than risky, to say the least. While it does happen on occasion, most of the time, you’re going to experience hefty crowds with some heavy wait times. If you don’t want to pony up for Lightning Lanes, the best thing you can do is manage your time to hit the rides you want to hit during points in the day when Disney World’s guests are focusing their attention elsewhere. Magic Kingdom Let’s start with the easiest win of all: rope drop. That first hour in the park is going to provide you with, perhaps, the lowest wait times of the day. Wait times are wildly low because crowds haven’t fully filtered in yet. Attractions that routinely hit an hour-plus by mid-morning can be walk-ons if you’re there right when the park opens. TRON Lightcycle / Run This is when you knock out big-name rides efficiently or get in tons of rides while everyone lines up for the E-Ticket attractions like TRON Lightcycle/Run or Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. In fact, if you’re not about the coaster lifestyle, using rope drop is a great way to knock out most of your itinerary before breakfast services even end. While folks are either sleeping in or getting their morning helpings of thrill rides, you can already check a handful of rides off your to-do list. Haunted Mansion in Magic Kingdom If you’re staying at a Disney hotel, you’ve got an even bigger advantage with Early Theme Park Entry, which lets you into the parks 30 minutes early. The same tips apply here. Yes, you’ll get maybe the best wait time for rides like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, but even though I said it might be a walk-on, those chances are still low, and it’s more than likely that the queue will eat up all of your Early Entry time. Instead, the real power move is heading into Fantasyland and chaining together multiple rides back-to-back, all with minimal waits. As I previously mentioned, it’s easy to come out of Early Entry having completed four or five attractions instead of just one. Fantasyland And then there’s my personal favorite timing hack: riding during parades and fireworks. When Festival of Fantasy rolls through or Happily Ever After lights up the sky or Disney Starlight dazzles onlookers, huge portions of the crowd are locked in place. That’s your cue to ride your heart out. Firework Crowds Attractions like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Pirates of the Caribbean, Space Mountain, and Haunted Mansion often see wait times drop dramatically during these windows. Fireworks especially are prime time, since you’re trading a show you can see another night for short lines you cannot get any other way. If you prioritize short wait times over spectacles, then you need to be looking at the My Disney Experience app for wait times and plan your attack to coincide with when people will be stationing along Main Street, U.S.A., for these shows. Crowds gathered for the parade The common thread is to do what most guests aren’t doing. Ride while they’re watching shows, enter Magic Kingdom when everyone else is sleeping, and stack smaller rides while others are waiting for one big one. Magic Kingdom rewards guests who play the clock. Once you do that, you’ll be surprised to learn how much more you can fit into a single day. What are other tips you’d add to this list? 3. Winter is an interesting time to visit Disneyland. On the one hand, this time of year brings the Lunar New Year Celebration to Disney California Adventure, which is always a lot of fun (and the food is GREAT, too!). The weather isn’t bad (it’s usually not too hot and not too cold). But there is one downside of visiting Disneyland this time of year…refurbishments. Space Mountain in Disneyland Ride refurbishments and maintenance have to happen to keep rides running, and generally, a lot of it happens in the early part of the year. Well, one ride will close soon in Disneyland, while two rides in California Adventure are set to close soon for refurbishment, but the good news is that they’ll only be closed for a short time. Okay, let’s start in Disneyland. Space Mountain (the superior Space Mountain, in my opinion) is set to close on February 23rd, according to the Disneyland calendar. However, it will be a short closure, and the ride will reopen on February 27th. So it’s only going to be closed for a few days. Not bad at all! Space Mountain Lightning Lane Over in California Adventure, Jumpin’ Jellyfish is scheduled to close on February 23rd for a short while. It will reopen on March 6th. ©Disney Nearby, Golden Zephyr is scheduled to close on March 9th for a short refurbishment, with its reopening scheduled for March 18th. ©Disney We would also like to remind you of the Jungle Cruise closure that’s coming up soon, too. Jungle Cruise will close on February 17th and reopene on February 22nd. Granted, we only know what the Disneyland calendar is showing us, so these rides could reopen earlier or later than what’s currently scheduled. We highly recommend checking the Disneyland website or Disneyland app to see what days and hours rides are open. We’ll keep an eye out for more ride closures, so stay tuned to DFB for more. 7 Hidden Details You Can’t Miss At Disneyland DON'T DO IT ALONE! 4. In recent years, Early Entry — the 30-minute period each morning when guests of Disney resorts and other select hotels can access each of the theme parks — including the ever-popular Magic Kingdom — prior to the general public — has been one of Disney World’s most popular perks for years. Early entry sign! For the majority of that time, the main draw for guests was to immediately rush to the busiest rides at the park, like Space Mountain, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, or Peter Pan’s Flight. Some even begin lining up early for TRON Lightcycle/Run, though it does not open early. However, this year, Disney is introducing a new perk with…character! During the Cool Kids Summer promotion, which runs from May 26th to September 8th, hotel guests eligible for Early Entry will be able to meet a rotating cast of Disney characters at each park — including the Magic Kingdom — before the park opens to the general public. Meaning that, at least some guests who usually rush to rides will instead try to knock out character meet & greets in the early morning. Hey, Mickey! Judging by previous examples, there’s no list of which characters will be available in each park, but they WILL be different! Disney is encouraging guests to visit the different parks for Early Entry throughout their trip so they can take advantage of all the special meet and greets. Now, it’s important to note that this won’t take away from any of the regularly scheduled meet and greets in each park throughout regular park hours — it’s just in addition to what’s already scheduled. White Rabbit These character meet and greets could be especially helpful for the Magic Kingdom, given the large amount of construction currently happening at the park, namely the construction of Piston Peak and Villains Land. ©bioreconstruct Of course, rides are still a big part of Early Entry at the Magic Kingdom. The following rides are currently scheduled to be on offer: “it’s a small world” Astro Orbiter Dumbo the Flying Elephant Mad Tea Party Mickey’s PhilharMagic Peter Pan’s Flight Prince Charming Regal Carrousel Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Space Mountain The Barnstormer The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh Tomorrowland Speedway Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress Later this summer, the park will see two massive reopenings in the form of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin. Both of these attractions have undergone extensive refurbishments that will see new tracks and a Rainbow Caverns sequence added to the former, while a new opening sequence, ride vehicles, and blasters will be added to the latter. ©Disney Both rides are scheduled to return sometime in the spring or summer of 2026, and given the popularity of both — and especially the legendary status of Big Thunder — combined with Disney fans’ love of anything “new”, these rides will likely draw plenty of early morning guests, especially early on if they’re available during Early Entry. ©Disney As if Disney’s Early Entry perk wasn’t valuable enough for hotel guests, 2026 is adding characters to the mix! 5. A massive (and sad!) change just hit Animal Kingdom Theme Park — DinoLand, U.S.A. is now GONE. Chip and Dale in Dinoland! The land officially closed on February 2nd to make way for the new Tropical Americas land. With that change, we lost a couple of rides, a few dining locations, and some incredibly themed character meets. But don’t worry, many of those characters have now moved to other spots around the park! First up, you should know that if you’re searching for character meets, you should go to the map section of the My Disney Experience app! Here, you can select “Characters” and filter by location to see a list of the available meet and greets. If you click on each character, you’ll be able to see their showtimes for the day. ©Disney Now, on to the meet-and-greets that have moved! The first of the former DinoLand characters is Donald and Daisy, who used to meet separately. Now, you’ll find them meeting together in The Oasis, right after you enter the park. Look over near Garden Gate Gifts on the right side of the park. They’re too cute! They’re dressed in their adorable safari outfits! Donald wears this costume at Tusker House for the character meal there. XOXO One of the things we’ll miss the most about the loss of DinoLand, U.S.A. are the previous dinosaur costumes that Chip and Dale used to wear there! Now, you’ll see them without special costumes, but they ARE in a special location. This is a character meet-and-greet that you’ll actually find OUTSIDE the park, in the Palm Courtyard. That’s the large area between security and the park entrance, near the Joffrey’s stand. Chip and Dale The first character to move locations from DinoLand was Pluto. For a few months now, he’s been meeting in the Oasis on the left side, near the rope bridge. He wears a cute little Animal Kingdom-themed bandana. Hey Pluto! The other main character who needed to move with the closure of the land? Goofy! You’ll find him now at the Harambe Train Station in Africa. He will continue to meet here when Conservation Station (and subsequently the train) closes for refurbishment soon. Goofy in DinoLand Speaking of Conservation Station, some major character changes are coming there as well. A Bluey meet-and-greet is coming this summer, so we’ll be saying goodbye to Rafiki’s Planet Watch. That means you only have a limited time left to meet Timon and Rafiki — until February 23rd, to be exact. It’s unclear yet if they’ll be moving locations or if their meets will disappear entirely. What’s up, Timon? These aren’t the only recent character changes, though. A few months ago, Dug and Russell moved their meet-and-greet to the Discovery Island Trails behind the Tree of Life. Their former home in Discovery Island is now occupied by Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, since it’s next door to Zootopia: Better ZOOgether. Judy and Nick in Animal Kingdom Don’t worry, though; some of the other character locations in the park haven’t changed. Moana still meets in Discovery Island, and Mickey and Minnie remain at Character Outpost. You can also still find Pocahontas in The Oasis, and Kevin roams Discovery Island. KEVIN! That’s all we’ve got in terms of character changes for now, but we’ll keep you in the loop if we discover anything else. 6. It’s finally time to reopen the gates! Frozen Ever After in EPCOT closed on January 26th, 2026, to make way for some major updates to the popular ride. Frozen Ever After We’ve been patiently waiting for some updates on the ride, and now we finally know when it’s reopening! Starting on February 12th, 2026, you can hop back on a boat to Arendelle. That’s right, Frozen Ever After finally has a reopening date. The ride’s audio animatronics are finally being updated after initially opening in 2016. At the time, these animatronics were some of the most impressive ones we had ever seen! They brought the characters of Frozen to life, including Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff. Frozen Ever After’s current animatronics! They were the first animtronics to be entirely powered by electric motors and manufactured using 3D printing techniques. However, the faces were projected using animation, which didn’t age as well over time. The faces stood out compared to the bodies, and in all honesty, just looked a little wonky as they aged. In 2023, Disney introduced this attraction to Hong Kong Disneyland with new animatronics that went viral because of how lifelike they were! Hong Kong Disneyland Animatronics They also included this new technology in Tokyo DisneySea’s recent expansion, which might be our favorite iteration of the ride. After years of begging, Disney is finally updating the original Frozen Ever After ride in EPCOT with this amazing new technology! Frozen Ever After is closed Disney World hasn’t officially announced the reopening date yet, but hours are listed for the attraction again, starting on February 12th. Of course, we’ll be there to share photos and videos of the ride changes on reopening day. Frozen Ever After The attraction is one of the most popular ones in EPCOT, so we know fans are ready for this reopening. During its closure, the Fjording store at the exit of Frozen Ever After has been listed as closed on the Disney World website, but it was still open when we checked out when the ride first closed. The store will still open, but the exit from the attraction was blocked. The Fjording is open, but the exit is blocked off We can’t wait to head back into Arendelle when the ride finally reopens. Luckily, the attraction won’t be closed for too long! 7. Y’all…it’s been COLD in Disney World, way more than what we’re generally used to. We know we’re always warning you about how to handle the heat and humidity in Florida, but this year, it seems like we need to warn you more about the cold. Frozone Well, the cold doesn’t look like it’s letting up anytime soon. The National Weather Service has just issued a Cold Weather Advisory for the Orlando area for tomorrow, February 6th. So what exactly is a cold weather advisory? It means that it’s going to be COLD. The advisory states that it will be in effect from 1 AM to 9 AM tomorrow. You can expect wind chills as low as 26 degrees. Brrr! That’s cold enough to lead to hypothermia if you’re out in it for a long time. It also means that you may very well see some of the characters who visit with you outside in their cold-weather gear. It’s a good thing the characters have cold weather gear So what should you do? First, you’ll need to leave the shorts and skirts at home. You’ll want to bundle up, preferably in layers that are easy to take off and put back on. You’ll want a warm coat and probably a good scarf, gloves, and a hat to protect your head and ears from the cold. Sleeping Beauty Don’t underestimate the Florida cold either. In my experience, it feels much colder because you still have humidity to deal with, so it’s a damp cold that gets into your bones. So be sure to bundle up and keep your kids bundled up, too. As this IS Florida, it will go away eventually, and soon, we’ll all be complaining about the heat again. We’ll continue to keep an eye on the weather in Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for more updates. 8. Okay, Disney World Annual Passholders, this one is JUST for you. If you’re an Annual Passholder, you’re probably already aware of all the benefits having a pass gives you beyond just getting you into the theme parks. You can get discounts on merchandise and food, special exclusive merchandise and food, early ride previews, and so much more. New Annual Passholder magnet However, one of the best perks of being a Disney World Annual Passholder is the free magnets that you can get throughout the year. Well, the new Annual Passholder magnet is officially available, and we’re heading to Disney World to grab one for ourselves. You can pick up your FREE exclusive Annual Passholder magnet in Disney’s Animal Kingdom at Discovery Trading Company. Be sure to bring your Annual Pass and a government-issued photo ID to get this freebie. You can also use a MagicBand linked to your Pass or Disney MagicMobile Pass. You’ll see a sign at Riverside Depot instructing you to walk past it and into Discover Trading Company to pick up the magnet (just follow the signs). Riverside Depot The new magnet features two of our favorite characters from Zootopia, Nick and Judy! As you may know, you can actually meet them now in Animal Kingdom, as well as see the new Zootopia: Better Zoogether show in the Tree of Life. So it’s appropriate that they finally get their own magnet! Nick and Judy! Note that there is a limit of only one magnet per Passholder, so if you have multiple Passholders in your group or family, they’ll each have to pick up their own magnet. The magnet is available until March 15th, so make sure you get to Animal Kingdom before then to grab it. We’ll keep an eye out for more Disney World Annual Passholder perks, so stay tuned to DFB for more. 10. Earlier this week, we got some massive Disney news — Josh D’Amaro is about to become the new CEO of the company. ©Disney D’Amaro will take over the role on March 18th, 2026, which is much sooner than was originally anticipated based on Bob Iger’s contract. But with this change, Iger will get the chance to pull back from the company he’s been with for decades. So what’s next for Bob Iger? Iger and D’Amaro had an interview with Good Morning America after the news was announced, and they had some very interesting things to say about the future of the company and the effects of this transition. But if you’re wondering what’s next for Bob Iger and how he feels about passing the baton, you’ll be happy to know that he’s ready. ©Disney During the interview, Iger shared what it’s like to prepare himself for this change, saying, “You can’t just turn the switch off one day on something that you’ve been so involved with, and it’s such an important part of your life. But I’m just looking forward to quieter moments and quieter days, and, I don’t know, a little more room in my life.” ©Disney It’s not lost on D’Amaro that he has big shoes to fill, either. He responded to Iger’s comments by saying, “Of course I feel the weight on my shoulders — I should feel it.” D’Amaro noted that it can be a bit intimidating to think about following after Iger, but the thing they have in common? “Bob’s a big risk taker, I’m a big risk taker, and that’s been true my whole life.” Josh D’Amaro at Destination D23, 2023 ©Disney However, Josh D’Amaro won’t be alone near the top. It was also revealed that Dana Walden is being promoted to Walt Disney Company President and Chief Creative Officer. D’Amaro described her as an “incredibly powerful executive” and their work relationship as a “very powerful partnership.” He noted that choosing her for the role was the right step by the committee. ©Disney Iger has a long career in executive roles at Disney. He was named President of The Walt Disney Company in 2000, serving as second-in-command under Michael Eisner. Iger was promoted to CEO in 2005 and served in that role until 2020, when he became Executive Chairman of the board. He took a brief retirement for a few months until he was reinstated as CEO in November 2022. We wish Iger a very happy retirement and good luck on whatever he chooses to do next. 11. When it comes to the perks of staying at a Walt Disney World hotel, there are few more popular — or arguably more valuable — than Early Entry. This perk offers Disney Resort guests (as well as those staying at select other hotels) early entry into each of Walt Disney World’s theme parks every day of their stay (including check-in and check-out days) for 30 minutes prior to the general public. However, when it comes to Early Entry, not all of Walt Disney World’s hotels are created equal. All-Star Movies We’ve picked one hotel from each of Disney’s Hotel Tiers — Deluxe, Moderate, and Value — that make taking advantage of Early Entry MUCH harder, and an alternative hotel of the same tier. Now, a quick note: We’re talking solely about Early Entry here. Not about theme, amenities, or other perks. Saratoga Springs When it comes to Early Entry, the Deluxe Tier Saratoga Springs — themed after the well-known upstate horse-racing capital– suffers from two issues: location and transportation. As far as the former, the hotel is located right across the river from Disney Springs, all the way at the southeastern end of Disney World property, comparatively far from each of the property’s theme parks. Saratoga Springs Not only is the hotel far, but the only Disney Transportation System method available for guests from the hotel are the Disney buses. So, guests looking to take advantage of Early Entry at any of the parks will need to wake up even earlier and either catch a bus or budget for a rideshare service like Uber. Alternative: Boardwalk Inn & Suites While Saratoga Springs is themed to upstate New York, its fellow Deluxe Tier hotel, The Boardwalk, channels seaside resorts down the Eastern Seaboard, including the golden age of New York’s Coney Island. However, we’re not suggesting The Boardwalk as an alternative because of interstate rivalry. Rather, it once again comes down to location and transportation. The Boardwalk is simply a short walk to EPCOT’s International Gateway, making it the ideal resort to access Walt Disney World’s Second Gate during Early Entry. Skyliner in EPCOT Furthermore, that short walk also provides easy access to the Skyliner to Hollywood Studios for Early Entry. Guests who don’t like heights can also take a quick boat trip over to the Studios park. Plus, the hotel’s more central location on property makes bus travel to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom easier. Disney’s BoardWalk Coronado Springs Moving on to the Moderate Tier of hotels, we have the case of Coronado Springs, the Spanish/southwestern-themed resort. Similar to the aforementioned Saratoga Springs, the biggest knock on the hotel when it comes to Early Entry is transportation. The only Disney Transportation method available at Coronado Springs is buses. While this isn’t quite as bad as Saratoga Springs, considering Coronado Springs location, it’s still an issue compared to hotels with access to other parts of the Disney Transportation system. Speaking of which… Coronado Springs Alternative: The Caribbean Beach Resort Like Coronado Springs, the Caribbean Beach Resort offers Moderate Tier amenities. Unlike Coronado Springs, Caribbean Beach features a Skyliner station with direct access to EPCOT’s International Gateway and Hollywood Studios, making those parks easier to pin down for Early Entry. Skyliner at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort All-Star Resorts I hate to sound repetitive here, but once again, transportation remains the primary issue with the Value Tier All-Star Resorts: All-Star Sports, All-Star Music, and All-Star Movies. These three resorts are located at the southern end of Disney World property, and only have access to bus transportation and rideshare. All Star Sports Resort Alternative: Pop Century and Art of Animation The All-Stars aren’t Walt Disney World’s only Value Tier resorts, though. There are also the Pop Century and Art of Animation Resorts, who share a Skyliner station — which, as we’ve well-established, makes Early Entry at EPCOT and Hollywood Studios much easier. Pop Century and Art of Animation share a Skyliner station All of Walt Disney World’s hotels offer their fair share of perks, and every hotel at each respective tier offers similar levels of amenities. However, if one is focusing SOLEY on Early Entry, there are some better choices than others. Stay tuned to DFB for more on Disney’s hotel offerings. 12. EPCOT’s Flower & Garden Festival is almost here, and one of the most in-demand reservations just opened today. Garden Rocks Concert in 2022 Dining package reservations for the Garden Rocks Concert Series just opened today, and if you’re even thinking about doing one, it’s worth booking now. These tend to be one of the first things people scoop up once Flower & Garden planning starts…so here’s how it works! Alright friends, today’s the day! If you’ve been waiting to snag one of those coveted dining packages for the upcoming EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival Garden Rocks Concert Series, you can finally book them now, 60 days prior to your desired date! Reservations opened today, and trust me, these tend to go fast because they pair a great meal with guaranteed concert seating later in the day. The festival runs from March 4th to June 1st, 2026. Garden Rocks! Let’s be real, though, concert seating at EPCOT’s festival can be a little chaotic if you show up at the last minute. You’ve got people arriving early, staking out spots, and generally treating it like a mini tailgate. But a Garden Rocks Dining Package takes that stress out of the equation by giving you priority seating after you’ve enjoyed a meal at a participating restaurant. See the FULL Garden Rocks concert lineup for 2026! That means no scurrying across the park just to secure a place for the music — instead, you can relax, eat, and then stroll over to the show knowing your seat is waiting. Garden Rocks Concert So what does a dining package actually include? Most locations will pair a full entrée and dessert (or in some cases a buffet) with a non-alcoholic or alcoholic beverage, depending on where you book. Choose Showtime First, then Participating Restaurant Times will populate There are tons of great restaurants to choose from around World Showcase, ranging from cozy France pavilion restaurants like La Crêperie de Paris to well-loved classics like Garden Grill, all offering slightly different dining experiences before the show. Garden Rocks Ticket But the important thing to remember is that if you want to guarantee yourself a seated spot, you can book these highly sought reservations today. Reservations just opened on the Disney World website and through the My Disney Experience app, so if you’ve been eyeing a specific date or restaurant, now’s definitely the time to jump in before availability starts disappearing. FULL LIST of Restaurants Included in the 2026 Garden Rocks Dining Packages A meal at Spice Road Table Whether you’re already planning your March-to-June trip or just want that combo of good food and guaranteed music, these dining packages are a great way to upgrade your festival experience without overthinking how you’ll get a seat for the show. 13. It’s no secret that planning a trip to Disney World is an expensive proposition. From theme park tickets to hotel reservations to travel, a trip to the “Most Magical Place on Earth” is by itself a splurge for many. PhotoPass On top of that, there are many extra perks and splurges at Disney World that are available to guests. However, some of those perks just really aren’t worth it. We’ve already fallen for paying for a lot of these perks, so now we can warn you away. Memory Maker Okay, this might be controversial, but Memory Maker could very well be a waste of money. Here’s the thing: Memory Maker gets you unlimited digital downloads of all photos taken by Disney PhotoPass photographers. The price? $210! Okay, so it’s only $185 if you purchase it BEFORE your trip. However, those same PhotoPass photographers will take photos of you with your own camera or phone if you ask. PhotoPass Studio So what exactly are you paying for? Well, the photos will be high quality, but most phones are capable of good quality photos. You’re getting the same amazing photographer, regardless of how the photos are taken. You DO get Magic Shots, which is when Disney adds a little extra character or scene to each photo, but if you know how to photo edit, you could do that yourself at home. Is it worth over $200? ©Disney On top of that, you can also get on-ride photos if you purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass, which is going to cost less per day than Memory Maker, PLUS it allows you a way to bypass long standby lines at rides. Multi Pass allows you to select three Lightning Lane selections in a theme park, in advance of your visit (7 days for a Disney Resort guest, 3 for everyone else) and choose available times as you make your selections. From there, as you use each selection on each day of your visit, you can use the My Disney Experience app for availability to make additional selections. ©Disney Is Disney’s Memory Maker Photo Add-On Actually WORTH IT? Preferred Parking Did you know you could pay extra to park closer to each park’s main entrance? Prices are seasonal but run $50, $55, or $60 per day. That’s not chump change, is it? But here’s the thing…do you need to park that much closer to the entrance when you can just hop on the tram if you don’t want to walk far? Note that Disney World does provide special parking areas for visitors with disabilities and mobility issues. East Tram and Preferred Parking sign at EPCOT Also, if you’re going to Magic Kingdom, you have to park at the Transportation and Ticket Center, and you’ll have to take a boat or Monorail to the Magic Kingdom entrance anyway. The Weird Parking RULE That Only Applies When It’s SUPER BUSY in Disney World Preferred Room at Certain Hotels Now, don’t get us wrong, if you’re staying at a value resort or another Disney World hotel that is spread out (Caribbean Beach, we’re looking at you), you’ll probably get your money’s worth if you pay for a preferred room, which is a room closer to the hotel’s lobby, food court, and transportation. However, if you’re staying at a smaller hotel like Disney’s Port Orleans Resorts, a preferred room isn’t going to be worth the extra cost. Port Orleans is so small you don’t need a preferred room Before you book that trip, we recommend taking a look at a map of the Disney World hotel you’re planning on staying at and seeing just how big it is. If it’s a big hotel, like Caribbean Beach, the All-Star Resorts, or others, think about how far you’ll have to walk to get to everything — that long walk at the end of a day in the parks can be brutal. If a hotel is more compact, you can book a standard room, and you’ll be fine. The BEST Rooms in Disney World Hotels, And How To Get Them But these splurges? *Chef’s Kiss* Of course, there are some perks we DO feel are worth splurging on at times. These include the aforementioned Lightning Lane Multi Pass, as well as Lightning Lane Single Pass, which allows guests to “secure a time to ride one of (Disney’s) most highly demanded attractions” for an additional charge before their visit, with the same 7 and 3-day timelines. Disneyland App — Purchase option for Lightning Lane Single Pass — Rise of the Resistance ©Disney And then there’s transportation. Look, we love Disney’s transportation options. Whether it’s buses, boats, or the Skyliner, we take them all the time; however, on days when you’re just too wiped out, splurge on a rideshare like an Uber, Lyft, or even a Minnie Van. Ride share is always an option. Of course, we can’t leave you without dropping our forever favorite splurge: A CUP OF PLASTIC CHEESE! Plastic Cheese! So before you spend money on these extra perks, you’ll want to think about it first. We’re all about helping you save money in Disney World, so we’ll keep offering our best tips and tricks to make the most of your money AND time on your next Disney World trip. 14. A new twist at SeaWorld Orlando’s Seven Seas Food Festival that might require a little more of your attention could also turn you into repeat visitor. The theme park has added rotating menu items at several of its walk-up marketplaces. Some items now available at the fest, which began Jan 30, will go away at a predetermined (and published) date, replaced by other items that will, in turn, be bumped for a third option. For instance, the Mexican Market stand currently offers tacos al pastor. As of March 9, visitors can purchase carne asada tacos instead, and then starting April 13, it’s chicken asado tacos. The timeframes are clearly indicated on menu boards, the park’s website and the printed festival guide. And yet, in a cruel Hangry Statute of Murphy’s Law, your eyes might be drawn to a choice that’s not available. Quick tip: On the in-park menu boards the rotating menu is within a yellow box. Only one of those choices within the box is for sale that day. Also: Deep breaths before shaking a fist at the heavens. Signage shows rotating menu items for the Seven Seas Food Festival at SeaWorld Orlando. Mind the yellow boxes. (Dewayne Bevil/Orlando Sentinel) But what’s up with that? Amber Alloway, the newish vice president for food and beverage, explains. “The idea was to be able to provide a better experience for our guests, to give them something new and exciting to come. Because if you come the one time and it’s all the same stuff, probably after the second or third time, you’ve probably tried everything,” Alloway said. “So this gives them an opportunity to allow the creativity of our chefs and of our managers and staff to create something different,” she said. “That way you guys can come back out and really try their passion and their flavors with the different items.” Sometimes the rotation includes similar dishes. At the Irish Market, we start with Guinness cheese nachos, which are replaced with corned beef nachos next month and pub nachos in mid-April. Others are more diverse. At the Polynesian Market the menu travels from huli-huli chicken to kalu pork to teriyaki chicken sliders. Proven fan favorites and other staples don’t go away. “We’re never going to do that. That doesn’t make sense,” Alloway said. Amid all the new offerings is Jon Peterson, park president, who’s had a bite of everything in the Seven Seas lineup. “I taste everything before it gets into the park, every single item that’s out there,” he said. “There’s two parts I’m looking at as the president,” Peterson said. “One, does it meet the standard that we expect in the park for our Seven Seas? Two, what is it to me and where should it go in the park? How’s the taste?” He’s a fan of a returning favorite, the Chicago dog, found at Beats and Bites near the Pipeline roller coaster, as well as the chicken wings from the All-American Market. Other intriguing-sounding menu options: Razzle Dazzle raspberry cupcake (at Old-Fashioned Milk Co. location), lobster mac and cheese (March 9-April 12 at All-American Market), gyro fries (after March 9 at Mediterranean Market) and bratwurst melt (after April 13 at German Market). What else is new? There are other new offerings swirling around SeaWorld during the festival, including a “secret” menu at the park’s Sharks Underwater Grill. (OK, the type is tiny in the festival guide.) It’s a three-course meal for $49.95 the guide describes as an “elevated escape” … And there’s seating, a valued theme-park commodity. And then there’s Seas the Flavor, a five-course food and wine tasting on select nights starting Feb. 14 at the park’s Sea Harbor Pavilions. “We’ll have a sommelier come out here, and we’ll have the chef talk about his food,” Alloway said. “Each course is about two to three bites with your wine pairing, and we’ll talk about how chef created them and how they pair with the wine.” There’s also a musician on hand. Tickets are $79.99 (SeaWorld admission also required). The price includes a five-punch festival sampling lanyard. If you go • The festival and accompanying concert are included with regular SeaWorld Orlando admission. The food and drink is for purchase. • Sampling lanyards are $74.99 for 10 punches and $89.99 for 15 items. (Annual passholders can get 18 items for $89.99.) • Grab a festival guide upon arrival. There’s a fold-out map in the center that’s helpful because there’s not an obvious place in SeaWorld for, say, the Brazilian, Mexican or Italian markets. There are 29 locations, although some sell beverages only. • The festival runs select days through May 17. The schedule — and the concert lineup — appears at seaworldorlando.com. Bow Wow performs at Bayside Stadium at 7 p.m. Saturday. Email me at dbevil@orlandosentinel.com. BlueSky: @themeparksdb. Threads account: @dbevil. X account: @themeparks. 16. Disneyland is celebrating a LOT of things right now, including its 70th Anniversary, with a celebration that will last through August 9th. However, February also brings about Celebrate Soulfully, as well as Valentine’s Day. Valentine-themed Alien Macaron These celebrations mean one BIG thing: new treats throughout the resort! Now, we’ve already tried our share of 70th Anniversary treats, so now we’re trying a new Celebrate Soulfully snack (well, more like a meal) and some new Valentine’s Day offerings. So come with us as we taste our way through Disneyland’s new limited-time treats. Let’s start with the Celebrate Soulfully snack. Celebrate Soulfully is a celebration that honors Black heritage and culture, including food. As part of that celebration this year, you can order the French Quarter Fried Chicken Bowl at Tiana’s Palace. For $17.99, you get a bowl with spicy honey-glazed fried chicken served with baked macaroni and cheese and collard greens. And trust us…you’ll want to get this bowl. It’s a full meal with juicy breaded chicken and a wonderfully sweet and spicy glaze. There is a mild heat to that spiciness, but it’s more on the line of Disney spicy. French Quarter Fried Chicken Bowl The macaroni and cheese also has a ton of cheesy flavor. In fact, the cheese-to-macaroni ratio is a little off (it needs more macaroni). The collard greens also add a balanced flavor to the mix. It’s hearty, so don’t order it unless you’re hungry. Super tender chicken Okay, on to the Valentine’s Day treats, starting at The Tropical Hideaway. The DOLE Whip Strawberry Sundae is made with DOLE Whip, fresh diced strawberries, shortcake, and strawberry drizzle for $9.29. First, pucker up, because this sundae was TART. There’s probably a little TOO much of the strawberry drizzle, and we weren’t big fans of it because it tasted artificial, but we think if you’re a strawberry jelly fan, you’ll like it. DOLE Whip Strawberry Sundae The strawberry shortcake on top added a nice texture to the creamy DOLE Whip. With that being said, though, this isn’t our favorite DOLE Whip sundae, but we think it’s still pretty pleasing. Loved the addition of shortcake Finally, the Valentine-themed Alien Macaron has landed at Alien Pizza Planet for $8.79. It’s green alien heart eyes macaron shells filled with vanilla buttercream and berry chesecake with a pink chocolate-dipped antenna. Of all the macarons we’ve had at Pizza Planet, this is our favorite. The berry cheesecake and vanilla filling go so well together with the crunchy macaron. It’s so cute! You’ve got the tartness of the berry, but it’s balanced by the cheesecake and buttercream. We’ll also say that of these three new snacks, this is our favorite, and we have plans to go back and order it again. Delicious filling So there you have it, the three new limited-time snacks you need to order in Disneyland. We’ll keep getting you all the Disney food reviews, so stay tuned to DFB for more. 17. We talk about our love for Disney snacks, rides, and overall theme park incredible-ness, but we also love something we don’t talk about very often — Bath and Body Works! When our teams aren’t in the parks, we’re back home writing everything up, and more likely than not, a candle is burning in the kitchen. Bath & Body Works When we can’t be inthe parks, we like to keep the magic going at home, so we asked our team what scents from Bath and Body Works smell like Disney World, and after a long debate, we found seven scents that we can’t live without. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. Main Street Bakery ©Bath and Body Works Uh, duh! It’s literally in the name. If you’ve ever walked by the Main Street Confectionery, you’ve probably been hit with a wave of vanilla, cinnamon, and sugar, and that’s exactly what this candle reminds us of. In the candle, there are also hints of banana, which reminds us of warm baked goods, too. SHOP NOW First Blooms of Spring ©Bath and Body Works Spring has sprung! That’s what we say almost every day of the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival, which runs from March to the beginning of summer. There are literally flowers at every turn in EPCOT, and our team swears the park smells different. The candle has notes of blooming lilies, pink peony petals, and sunny citrus. SHOP NOW Hummingbird Tea Cake ©Bath and Body Works This one reminds us of one of our favorite restaurants over in Disney Springs. Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ is where we go when we need Southern classics served in the best way possible. This candle has fragrance notes of pineapple cake batter, cinnamon spice, and toasted pecans, which, of course, reminds us of the restaurant’s Hummingbird Cake that’s topped with vanillabean ice cream. Yum! SHOP NOW Pineapple Mango ©Bath and Body Works We’re always in the mood for DOLE Whip! This classic Disney treat has been a staple of our trips since we started visiting the parks and while youc an buy some in the grtoery store, it’s not the same as getting it int he parks. This candle with notes of ripe pineapple juice, mango, and vine-ripened raspberry reminds us of our favorite treat, down to the color! SHOP NOW Almond Croissant ©Bath and Body Works For this one, we’re heading to the France Pavilion in EPCOT. Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie (or as we call it, the bakery in France) always smells like freshly baked bread. I have no idea if they’re just always baking fresh bread or if they pump it in, but it’s seriously incredible. The Almond Croissant scent is built with toasted almonds, vanilla glaze, and flaky croissant. Sounds good enough to eat — but don’t do that. SHOP NOW Japanese Cherry Blossom ©Bath and Body Works One of our go-to scents at Bath and Body Works is Japanese Cherry Blossom, and we can’t help but think of the Japan Pavilion in EPCOT. The scent has notes of Japanese cherry blossom, Asian pear, fresh mimosa petals, white jasmine, and blooming sandalwood, which reminds us of walking inside the stores in the pavilion. SHOP NOW Lakeside Morning ©Bath and Body Works This is the one you’ve been waiting for! Lakeside Morning is the scent people SWEAR smells like the water in Pirates of the Caribbean! If that’s one of your favorite attractions and you can recognize that smell anywhere, you might love the fragrance with crisp autumn air, white driftwood, and a hint of green apple. SHOP NOW Is there a scent that reminds you of Disney World? Tell us in the comments, and make sure you keep following Disney Food Blog for more! View the full article

  20. The DFB team is in Disney World every single day, so we can bring you the latest news and stories from inside the parks. During our time, we have learned A LOT about what to do on your Disney day, and we’re sharing those with you. Magic Kingdom Our team is in the parks constantly, trying new foods, testing strategies, and learning what actually works (and what definitely doesn’t) when it comes to navigating your day at Disney World. Because we’re there day in and day out, these are the nine rules we follow every single day in the parks, and trust us, you don’t want to ignore them. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. 1. Rest Even with all our experience, the parks can get hectic fast, and pushing yourself nonstop is a guaranteed way to crash early. The key is intentionally building in rest — not just at your hotel, but inside the parks. A few of our favorite spots are: Indoor Attractions with Great AC: Carousel of Progress in Magic Kingdom and The American Adventure in EPCOT. Slower Traffic Paths: the tucked-away street off Main Street, U.S.A., or hidden seating along Discovery River in Animal Kingdom. Underrated table-service restaurants: Skipper Canteen, Yak & Yeti, and Brown Derby Lounge. Carousel of Progress 2. Hydrate No matter the season, hydration matters at Disney World. You’re walking miles, spending hours outside, and probably sweating more than you realize. The good news? Disney makes it easier than you think. Quick-service locations will give you free cups of ice water, refillable bottle stations are scattered throughout the parks, and bringing your own reusable bottle can save both money and time. Water fountain and refill station Adding electrolytes is also a smart move, especially if you’re doing long park days. Staying hydrated isn’t just about comfort; it also helps prevent fatigue, headaches, and burnout. So even if you don’t feel like you are thirsty, still drink the water. New metal water dispensers 3. Grab Your Favorite Treat For us at DFB, that treat is plastic cheese. The iconic, gooey, golden dipping sauce we’ve loved for years. You’ll find it all over Hollywood Studios and at spots like Casey’s Corner in Magic Kingdom, usually for about $1 extra, and it’s worth every penny. Cheddar Cheese But your favorite snack might be something totally different, and that’s the point. Whether it’s popcorn, churros (only the ones from Nomad Lounge), Mickey bars, or fries dipped in questionable-but-delicious cheese, get the snack you really want. Skipping it almost always leads to regret, and Disney days are too expensive for snack remorse. Dole Whip 4. Know the Best Bathrooms When you gotta go, waiting in a cramped, chaotic restroom is the last thing you want. Knowing where the quieter bathrooms are can genuinely save your sanity. The ones you want to avoid are in crowded areas like the Tangled restrooms at Magic Kingdom. Bathrooms Some of our favorites include the restrooms at the Caribbean Beach Skyliner station (clean, quiet, and rarely crowded), the bathroom inside of Tortuga’s Tavern across from Pirates of the Caribbean, the hidden alleyway restrooms near the Disney Springs bus stops, and the secret bathrooms near EPCOT’s Imagination Pavilion. Bookmark these in your brain, and you’ll thank us later. I highly recommend these bathrooms! 5. Always Carry a Portable Charger Your phone is everything at Disney World: your park ticket, your wallet, your camera, your food ordering system, and your planning hub. Using My Disney Experience alone can drain your battery fast, then add photos and videos, and you’re toast without backup power. A portable charger isn’t optional; it’s essential. Nothing kills momentum like a dead phone at 2PM. If you’ve been here a while, you’ll know our favorite one is the Fuelrods because they have kiosks all over Disney World where you can switch out your charger for a fully charged one for free! FuelRod View on Amazon 6. Use DFB Guides Disney World is complex, especially when it comes to dining. That’s why we revamped our DFB Guide to Walt Disney World Dining to clearly show just how different each Disney restaurant experience truly is. If you want to plan smarter, our guides break it all down in a way that’s easy to understand and actually helpful. You can find them over on the DFBstore website. DFB Guides 7. Utilize Mobile Order Waiting in a long food line is one of the biggest time-wasters in the parks. Mobile Order lets you skip that entirely, and you can even schedule a pickup time in advance. This means your meal fits your day, not the other way around. Once you start using Mobile Order strategically, you’ll never want to go back. It also allows you to view the menu so you can plan what you want to eat and clearly see how much everything costs without holding up the line in the restaurant to order. Mobile Order 8. Use Hand Sanitizer and Wash Your Hands Disney World is magical… and also full of germs. Thousands of people touch the same ride vehicles, railings, and door handles every day. Carrying hand sanitizer and using it often is a must, but don’t skip good old-fashioned handwashing when you can. Getting sick on vacation is not magical, and a little prevention goes a long way. Don’t Feel the Need to Do Everything You are not going to ride every ride, see every show, eat every snack, or do everything in one trip, and that’s okay. The happiest Disney trips happen when you focus on your must-dos and stay flexible with the rest. When you’re rushing nonstop, you miss some of the best moments. Set realistic expectations ahead of time, and let yourself enjoy the experience instead of racing against it. Cinderella Castle As Disney World changes, so do our go-to rules. 21. While we adore the Walt Disney World Monorail, don’t get us wrong, sometimes it’s not the fastest way to get to Magic Kingdom. Look at that line! The lines for the Express Monorail can easily get backed up during busy periods, and sometimes you don’t want to have to take the Resort Monorail to make stops before getting to your destination. If that’s the case, your next option is the Ferryboat, which we’re also a big fan of! While the Ferryboat currently holds TONS of people, we’ve still experienced some pretty intense backups when loading for the boat from Magic Kingdom to head back to the TTC (especially when the Monorail is down). Soon, that may no longer be as big of an issue thanks to this new expansion project! Disney has recently filed an application with the South Florida Water Management District to expand the queue for the Magic Kingdom Ferryboat. Currently, these plans only focus on expanding the station outside Magic Kingdom, not the station at the TTC. ©South Florida Water Management District Based on the plans, it looks like it will better organize the entrance point for guests to avoid major crowding, and perhaps extend it horizontally as well to allow for more space. ©South Florida Water Management District This is far from the only Ferryboat construction project we’ve seen in the past decade or so. The second Ferryboat dock was added to the Magic Kingdom and TTC docks back in 2024, and then upper deck bridges were added to allow for quicker departure for guests on the top deck back in 2021. ©South Florida Water Management District We have to admit that we’re really curious to see if this expansion will eventually also be added to the TTC of the dock, but we wouldn’t be shocked if the answer is no. The Magic Kingdom side is the one that gets the most backed up, especially at the end of the night when there are long lines for both the Ferryboat AND Monorail, and it can sometimes be confusing as to which one people are in line for. Hopefully, this adjustment will make that clearer. Ferryboat However, if the Ferryboat needs to close for this construction to take place, it WILL make traffic heading to and from Magic Kingdom on the Monorail worse, unless Disney chooses to run buses to and from the TTC and park as well. 22. We got some massive news from The Walt Disney Company this week. Disney started out the week by giving us the rundown on how its finances were doing, especially with how much revenue it’s made from the parks, streaming, and movies. However, the biggest news was Disney’s announcement of its next CEO, Josh D’Amaro. Kermit, Miss Piggy, and Josh D’Amaro at the 2023 Destination D23 fan convention. D’Amaro will officially become Disney’s CEO on March 18th, 2026, taking over the role from Disney’s current CEO, Bob Iger. The two men recently appeared on Good Morning America, and D’Amaro had a lot to say about his new role as head of the company, as well as some things about the future of Disney. When asked about what it was like taking over the company after Iger, Josh D’Amaro admitted, “It is a bit intimidating.” The two men have worked together for a long time, and D’Amaro feels they have a lot in common, including their willingness to take risks. “Bob’s a big risk taker,” D’Amaro said. “I’m a big risk taker, and that’s been true my whole life.” ©Disney Of course, one of the biggest risks Disney has taken recently is planning to build a Disney Park in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. The new theme park will be located on Yas Island, which is already known for entertainment and tourism. Most interesting is that the theme park will be all indoors, which would be a first for Disney. When asked about the Abu Dhabi project, D’Amaro said, “We did that quickly, and we did it ambitiously.” ©Miral Disney also recently made a deal with OpenAI to become the first major content licensing partner on Sora. Both Iger and D’Amaro are looking forward to how AI could change their business. D’Amaro reiterated that AI would never replace humans, “In my mind, that never gets replaced. This isn’t even theory anymore, this is real.” D’Amaro has also spoken with Cast Members about the use of AI by the company. According to D’Amaro, “They have embraced AI.” ©SORA Disney also named Dana Walden, Disney’s current Co-Chairman of Disney Entertainment, as President and Chief Creative Officer for the company, a new position created just for her. She will report directly to D’Amaro. When asked about her, D’Amaro said, “She is an incredibly powerful executive.” He also said that they had a “very powerful partnership” and naming her as President and CCO is “absolutely the right step to continue to push us into this next frontier.” ©Disney So what’s it like knowing you’re the leader of one of the biggest entertainment companies in the world? After Iger admitted there was a little less weight on his shoulders now that he’s stepping down, D’Amaro didn’t mince words when answering that question. “Of course I feel the weight on my shoulders — I should feel it.” We’re excited for both D’Amaro and Walden in their new roles and see where they take the company in the future. We’ll be covering ALL the big Disney news, so stay tuned to DFB for more. 23. The internet has been pretty torn over the announcement of Josh D’Amaro becoming the new CEO of The Walt Disney Company, which will become effective on March 18th, 2026, and current CEO Bob Iger will become a Senior Advisor until his contract expires on December 31st, 2026. Josh D’Amaro in Magic Kingdom Some people are looking forward to what changes he may implement in the company that would affect consumers in the parks and beyond, while others are nervous. But what may we actually see happen as a result of D’Amaro becoming CEO in March? We’ve done some research and chatted with our team of experts, and here are the three things we’re expecting to see pretty early on as he takes over this new position. Disney Parks Announcements Currently, Josh D’Amaro is the Disney Experiences Chairman, meaning he’s in charge of overseeing all that’s happening in Disney’s theme parks, Disney Cruise Line, hotels, and beyond. There are LOTS of expansions and new attractions being added to Disney Parks all over the world, but especially in Disneyland and Disney World, so we’re expecting that, to get the Disney fans hesitant about his takeover on his side, he’s going to give us some information about these new additions. Josh D’Amaro at Destination D23, 2023 ©Disney Personally, we’d really love to hear some updates about Villains Land in Magic Kingdom, as up to this point, we’ve only got concept art to go off of. However, we also wouldn’t be surprised to hear more about Tropical Americas coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Piston Peak coming to Magic Kingdom, the new Monsters, Inc. land coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, or perhaps the Avatar expansion and/or Avengers Campus expansion coming to Disneyland Resort. Disney and AI The topic of AI is practically everywhere right now, in practically all different fields of work, but it’s especially prevalent in conversations around creative fields. This is especially true since it was announced back in December that Disney has partnered with OpenAI to bring their characters to Sora, and early in January, Disney announced their plans to bring AI to their streaming platforms as well. ©SORA In a recent interview with Good Morning America, D’Amaro commented on the use of AI, stating that “AI is here,” and that “it’s something that we’re embracing and you’re seeing it supercharged these creatives in amazing ways, and they’ve embraced artificial intelligence.” The soon-to-be CEO also mentioned, though, that the creativity at Disney does need to stay with real-life people. In that same interview, he is quoted as saying, “The reason this company is so special is because of how creative we are and the human beings that are generating that creativity. In my mind, that never gets replaced.” Therefore, it’s our assumption that when D’Amaro takes over the CEO position, we’ll absolutely be hearing more about these plans for AI and how it will impact Disney. More NFL Integration Disney and ESPN have been integrated since 1996, but just recently, ESPN merged with the NFL Network, making it under Disney’s jurisdiction. Not only that, ESPN/ABC will have the Super Bowl next year, and we could absolutely see Josh D’Amaro using that opportunity BIG time to connect it to Disney. ©Disney/ ESPN Previously, we’ve seen Disney utilize their characters to make sports games a little more entertaining for Disney fans, such as with Monsters Funday Football. We wouldn’t be surprised if D’Amaro continues to make additional similar choices for more ESPN and NFL games, especially the Super Bowl, when the time comes. Imagine having a DISNEY Super Bowl party, watching the Disney version of the game? Yeah, we could see there being a big market for that. ©Disney We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all the latest Disney news we see come out, before, during, and after this CEO shift, so be sure to stay tuned to DFB! DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. Packing for Disney World feels like an Olympic sport, and we are gold medalists at this point. We have learned through hard-won experiences like getting caught in a downpour, phones dying when we need them most, and feeling like we’re melting on the sun itself. If you have these 4 items, you won’t need to worry about any of that! Frogg Togg Ponchos Frogg Toggs Poncho If you’ve EVER heard us talk about rain gear for Disney World, we would be 100 ponchos that you’ve heard us talk about the Frogg Togg. These ponchos have changed our days in the parks when rain is on the horizon. They’re nice and flowy, so you don’t feel like a steamed baked potato during those summer storms. FuelRods are small but mighty because they’re portable chargers that you can swap out once they’re finished. The swap is free in the Disney parks, and it has saved us on multiple occasions when we needed it most. Shop on Amazon MultiCharger for our MagicBands MultiCharger for MagicBand+ Speaking of charging things, we have a lot of devices to charge ahead of our park days! MagicBands have been added to that list more recently, thanks to the newest version called MagicBand+. Disney hotel rooms have improved when it comes to outlets over the last few years, but when we’re with a group, we often find ourselves running out of places to plug in. This MultiCharger for MagicBands has been a BIG saver in that department. It has 4 USB outlets, and we’ve used it for our MagicBands, portable chargers, and more. Shop on Amazon Mini Handheld Fans JISULIFE handheld fan This mini handheld fan feels like water in the middle of a desert on a hot theme park day. It folds up so it takes up very little room in your bag, and it’s easy to pull out whenever the heat becomes too much.
