Eating our way through Disney World is our job, and we take it very seriously. We also get excited when new snacks pop up in the parks, at the hotels, or at Disney Springs, and we make it our mission to try EACH AND EVERY ONE. With that being said, we’ve already tried TONS of new snacks in Disney World. BBQ Brisket Waffle Now, you know us…we have opinions on EVERYTHIING we eat and drink in Disney World, and over the past few months, we’ve shared those reviews with you. But what about our top snack picks for the year so far? Well, we’re going to tell you which ones are our faves! Here are our the top snacks we’ve had so far in 2026. Buckle up because there are quite a few! Iced Double Berry Matcha If you had told us a month ago that we’d be calling a matcha drink one of our new favorite drinks in Disney World, we might’ve looked at you like you’d just grown an extra head. But here we are, and Starbucks’ new Iced Double Berry Matcha won us over in a BIG way. We loved how the berry flavor mellowed out the grassiness of the matcha flavor (and matcha is generally an acquired taste), and we were surprised at just how much this drink worked for us. Iced Double Berry Matcha We picked the Iced Double Berry Matcha up at Main Street Bakery in Magic Kingdom, but it’s available now in all Starbucks, so check it out for yourself if you don’t believe us. Read our review Cookie Dough Brownie Ice Cream Sandwich We thought we’d lost hand-dipped ice cream and cookie ice cream sandwiches in Disney’s Animal Kingdom forever when Dino-Bite Snacks closed, but they’ve come back even better at Terra Treats. The Cookie Dough Brownie Ice Cream Sandwich with cookie dough on top, ice cream in the middle, and a brownie at the bottom is a big upgrade to the Dino-Bites cookie ice cream sandwiches. It’s like all of our favorite things thrown together, and we are here for it. Cookie Dough Brownie Ice Cream Sandwich We also thought the rectangular shape made the ice cream sandwich a little easier to eat than the older round sandwiches. However, this particular treat isn’t hand-scooped — it comes preassembled, but that kinda’ makes sense, and we’re cool with it. Read our review Carrot Cake Sundae So here’s a surprise…a new carrot cake treat has popped up at Terra Treats, too, and we couldn’t get enough of it. It’s the Carrot Cake Sundae, an Annual Passholder exclusive treat that we’d share with the world if we could. You’ve got vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce, roasted pecans, and carrot cake crumbs in a waffle bowl topped with birthday cake-flavored shell and a chocolate carrot. The Carrot Cake Sundae It’s not just cute, though, it’s delicious! We loved the blend of flavors, including the carrot cake spices, and the shell and crumbs added all kinds of great texture. Read our review 7-Layer Bar Animal Kingdom is the PLACE to go for great snacks right now, and that includes the new 7-Layer Bar at Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery. The layers include a graham cracker crust with coconut, pecans, sunflower seeds, chocolate chips, and butterscotch chips with a sweetened condensed milk filling that’s topped with Maldon Salt. We loved every single layer, y’all, and you can taste each with every single bite. 7-Layer Bar! The bar also has some lovely textures. It’s crunchy, it’s gooey, it’s chewy, and it’s soft. We hope this one sticks around for a LONG time so we can go back and get it again and again. Read our review BBQ Brisket Waffle Imagine how excited we were when we discovered that Marketplace Snacks in Disney Springs was bringing us some new savory waffles. Now, we tried three, but one clearly stood out from the rest: the BBQ Brisket Waffle. BBQ brisket, sweet black pepper BBQ sauce, pickled onions, and chopped parsley. Oh, and there was also green onion AND mac and cheese inside!!! BBQ? Mac and cheese? SAY NO MORE. BBQ Brisket Waffle The flavors go so well together with the sweet bubble waffle that’s holding it all together. There’s also a LOT of meat on this with that smoky BBQ flavor that pairs so well with the creamy cheesiness of the mac and cheese. Read our review Banana Box Pie Cookie In January, we discovered what might be our favorite Gideon’s Bakehouse Cookie of all time. It’s the Banana Box Pie Cookie made with banana, toffee, and spices, and topped with white chocolate and crunchy candied vanilla wafers. All those flavors? They combine to make one of the tastiest cookies we’ve ever had. We imagine this is what Bananas Foster would be like if it were a cookie. Banana Box Pie Cookie Everything is just perfect…this cookie brings the flavors and textures. There’s just one downside: this was a special cookie flavor JUST for January, so you might have to just wait for its return next year. But trust us, this one IS worth waiting for. Read our review Steak Frites Yes, French fries have made our list of best snacks of 2026 so far, but these aren’t just any French fries. These are the Steak Frites from The Daily Poutine in Disney Springs. These fries are topped with flank steak, chimichurri, bearnaise sauce, sweet pepper drops, and grated parmesan. Steak Frites We’re already big fans of the fries at The Daily Poutine, but these toppings are JUST STELLAR. You’ve got beautifully cooked steak that works so well with the fries and other flavors. This would make a great lunch, and we might be heading over to The Daily Poutine for our lunch fries again soon. Read our review Pizza Planet Spring Rolls A new snack cart opened in Toy Story Land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and you can imagine how stoked we were when we saw Pizza Spring Rolls on the menu. We loved that they weren’t super greasy, the egg rolls themselves were flaky, and they were very full of pepperoni! Pizza Planet Spring Rolls Basically, these are pretty much a copycat of the spring rolls you can get in Magic Kingdom, which makes us happy. The only difference is that you get pre-packaged marinara sauce with them. Read our review The Beast Crepe When we learned that there was a gigantic crepe in EPCOT, well, we RAN to EPCOT to try it out. You’ll find it at Crêpes À Emporter by La Crêperie de Paris, and it comes stuffed full of cheese, mushrooms, ham, and arugula. And, y’all…those flavors come together in the best way possible. Le Bete de Crepe or The Beast Crepe The star of the crepe is the cheese that is baked on top of the galette, but the whole thing is delicious and could very well count as a meal. Read our review We’re only a few months into 2026, and we’re sure we’ll find even MORE new favorite snacks in Disney World and tell you about them, so stay tuned to DFB for more. EPCOT never fails to provide us with some absolutely golden moments of confusion. EPCOT We spend a LOT of time wandering around World Showcase and World Discovery, and let me tell you, the things we overhear are pure comedy gold. Some of these questions and statements have lived rent-free in our heads for YEARS, and we just had to share them with you because honestly, we’re still cracking up about them. “Does This Count as Visiting an Embassy?” Okay, we get it. The World Showcase pavilions are incredibly immersive, and Disney does an amazing job making each country feel authentic. But no, wandering through the Morocco pavilion while eating a shawarma does not count as international travel, and you definitely cannot get your passport stamped there (though wouldn’t that be cool?). Morocco Pavilion We’ve heard variations of this question more times than we can count, and while we totally understand the confusion, it makes us giggle every single time. The pavilions are staffed by actual international cast members through the Cultural Representative Program, which adds to the authenticity, but they’re still very much part of a theme park in Central Florida. Sorry to break it to you, but that trip around World Showcase doesn’t qualify you for any frequent flyer miles. “What’s Inside the Big Golf Ball?” Listen, we LOVE that Spaceship Earth has become so iconic that people just refer to it as “the big golf ball.” What’s inside is actually one of the best attractions in the entire park! Spaceship Earth takes you through the history of human communication, and it’s honestly a classic that we try to never skip. Spaceship Earth But here’s the real kicker: we once overheard someone insist they remembered riding a roller coaster INSIDE Spaceship Earth back in the day. Friends, that never existed. The attraction has always been a slow-moving dark ride, and we’re not sure where this memory came from. Maybe they’re thinking of Test Track or Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster? Either way, there’s never been a coaster in there, and we’re kind of sad about it because that actually sounds awesome. “We Should Start in Canada” Oh boy, here we go. The great World Showcase debate: which direction do you walk? We don’t usually get too opinionated about how people choose to experience the parks, but when it comes to drinking around the world, our team has feelings. Oh, Canada! A sizable portion of our team will firmly tell you that starting in Mexico is the only correct answer, and they’ll defend this position with their whole chest. Starting in Canada means you’re going backwards, and that’s just chaos. That said, we’ve definitely heard passionate arguments for the Canada start, and honestly, the whole debate is hilarious to us. There’s no actual wrong answer (even though some on our team would disagree), but watching people get genuinely heated about which direction to walk around a lake is peak Disney adult behavior, and we’re here for it. Mexico pavilion in EPCOT At the end of the day, EPCOT is a park full of big ideas, iconic landmarks, and some absolutely unhinged overheard conversations. If you ever feel unsure about something you say there, just know you are contributing to the magic. And honestly, we’re probably still laughing about it. Which Disney cruise works best for you is certainly a personal preference, but it’s undeniable that each offers its own set of pros and cons. ©Disney While there is no universally better Disney Cruise length, there is certainly one you’ll prefer. The difference between a 3-night sailing trip and a 7-night sailing trip with the Disney Cruise Line is WAY bigger than most people realize. Different vibes, different value equations, different experiences, different locations, and very different expectations once you’re actually onboard will totally factor into which cruise you opt for. Does a 3-night or 7-night Disney cruise take a slight edge? Buckle up — we’re getting into the nitty-gritty. Disney Wish Disney cruises that offer a 3-night vacation can be incredible, but they can also feel over way too fast. A 3-night Disney cruise is basically a greatest-hits sampler. You get a taste of rotational dining, Broadway-style shows, deck parties, Castaway Cay (Disney’s private island), and just enough time to fall in love with sailing…right before it all ends. Castaway Cay The biggest advantage here is accessibility. These vacations are often easier to fit into your regular schedule by allowing you to take a long weekend or test out cruising with your family and young kids. If you’re cruising out of Port Canaveral, that short Bahamian itinerary can be an easy pill to swallow. Castaway Cay However, keep in mind that two of those days are basically throwaways. The first day is chaotic with embarkation, muster drills, and ship exploration, while the last day sees you back on the mainland and headed home. That leaves you with maybe one true “full” cruise day. You will NOT do everything. You’ll miss certain restaurants, exclusive entertainment, and special experiences. You’ll be saying “next time” a lot — despite still paying premium Disney prices. Hyperspace Lounge on Disney Wish 7-night Disney cruises are what the cruise line was built for, and this is where Disney Cruise Line absolutely shines. A full week lets you settle into ship life, really explore the ship and everything it has to offer, and actually have time for repeat dinners, and/or view multiple shows, experience adult dining, and enjoy spa and pool days. You get quiet moments that don’t feel rushed. ©Disney The downside? It’s hard to ignore the financial and time commitments. Compared to other 7-night cruises with other cruise lines, Disney’s is usually more expensive — and if you’re cruising with younger kids, that’s a long stretch of togetherness that may only exacerbate any stresses you have about said commitments. Disney Treasure Cruise Ship 3-night cruises may often feel overpriced for what you get, while 7-night cruises feel expensive, but justified. But that only matters if time isn’t the biggest factor. If you’re struggling to take a week off or sailing with family that doesn’t particularly love sailing the high seas, the short cruises will be better. On a short cruise, you’re paying for the brand, the service, and the experience — not the time. On a longer cruise, you’re paying more, but the per-day value makes more sense. Disney Magic Cruise Ship You should probably choose a 3-night cruise if it’s your first Disney cruise, you’re short on time, you want a Disney “trial run”, or you’re cruising with very young kids. However, it may be best to select a 7-nighter if you’ve already done a 3-night cruise, value relaxation above all else, want the full Disney Cruise Line experience, want to take in as much food and onboard entertainment as possible, and don’t want to feel rushed the entire time. Once you’ve done a 7-night Disney cruise, going back to a 3-night sailing feels a little like a downgrade. It’s still great, but you know what the real deal is like. ©Disney Which itinerary do YOU prefer? Finding new food and drinks in Disney World is our THING…and we’re very passionate about trying those new food and drinks as soon as they drop. That goes DOUBLE for any new Starbucks drinks that land in the park because, well, we’re one of those people who will stand in line for HOURS to get our morning cup of energy. Let’s try some new drinks! Well, Starbucks just brought two NEW drinks to Main Street Bakery in Magic Kingdom, and we’re trying them both. Warning, though: these new drinks might be for more adventurous folks. Okay, so consider our warning. The two new drinks we’re trying are matcha drinks. Now, matcha is a grassy green tea that is very often an acquired taste. Folks either love it or hate it. But we’re asking you to have an open mind here because the first drink we tried, the Iced Double Berry Matcha for $6.75, could win over a matcha hater. The mixture of the berry flavors in the drink and the foam with the matcha really works and takes away from that grassier tea flavor. It’s soft and creamy, and it’s also refreshing. Iced Double Berry Matcha Now, you will still get a hint of that matcha flavor, but it’s well-balanced thanks to the berry flavors. We recommend mixing this up really well to get all the flavors blended for each sip. This is also a nice, lighter alternative to coffee, which can occasionally feel heavy. SO good We wish we could say the same about the Iced Banana Bread Matcha for $6.75. The banana flavor in this is mostly in the cold foam, and that makes a HUGE difference. Now, that foam is delicious and feels so satisfying to swallow. It’s like a foamy banana smoothie. But it’s just on top. So you’ve got banana foam on top and matcha on the bottom. The matcha has that grassy matcha flavor, so depending on where you’re sipping from, the flavor could change on you. Iced Banana Bread Matcha You could mix it all up, but then you lose that nice foam texture on top. However, if you are a matcha fan, we think you’ll appreciate this drink, too. But we think this should’ve been more like the matcha with banana bread syrup and banana bread cold foam you can get at Scooter’s Coffee. (If you know, you know). Interestingly enough, Dunkin is about to drop a Bananarama Matcha Latte, so, apparently, banana is the flavor of the season! All the banana bread flavor is at the top Overall, both drinks are probably acquired tastes, and are suitable for those who love matcha or those who are willing to try matcha for the first time. We’ll be trying even more food and drinks in Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for more. If you’re planning your 2026 Disney World trip, you’re probably thinking about Lightning Lanes, Dining Reservations, and, if you’re like us, daydreaming about what the best snacks to grab on your trip. Mickey Pretzel When you come to the Disney World parks in 2026, you’re going to want to get the best value for your dollar. And, yes, that goes for the Disney World snacks, too. There are THOUSANDS of snacks to choose from around the parks, hotels, and Disney Springs, and while many will be a good deal, not all have the flavor behind them. Today, we’re breaking down the best snacks this year. 1. Doughnuts A doughnut is the ultimate triple-threat: snack, dessert, and breakfast all rolled into one. And Disney World does doughnuts right. Classic: Mickey Beignets We’re counting these. And honestly? You probably do too. Mickey Beignets from Scat Cat’s Club Café at Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter are golden, fluffy pillows of fried dough absolutely buried in powdered sugar, and somehow they taste even better because they’re Mickey-shaped. You can order them in their classic powdered sugar form or opt for the rotating seasonal flavor, which changes throughout the year and gives repeat visitors something new to try. Mickey Beignets New: Everglazed Everglazed Doughnuts & Cold Brew in Disney Springs is the spot for gourmet doughnuts in every form imaginable. While some flavors stay year-round, many rotate frequently, so there’s always something new. The DFB team favorites include the Nutella Boston Cream, the Icon Donut (a classic glazed doughnut dipped in Everglazed’s signature blue glaze), and the cold brew “toppers,” which literally come with a doughnut perched on top of your drink. Coffee and doughnuts? Say less. Fruity Pebbles 2. A Unique Take on a Hot Dog Why eat a normal hot dog when Disney World insists on making you question everything you thought you knew about hot dogs? Classic: Ronto Wrap The iconic Ronto Wrap from Ronto Roasters in Disney’s Hollywood Studios may sound like a space hot dog, but it’s also wildly delicious. It’s made with roasted pork, grilled pork sausage, tangy slaw, and peppercorn sauce, all wrapped in warm pita bread. It’s filling enough to be a full meal, even though we still call it a “snack.” Just note: Ronto Roasters closes at 3PM, but Docking Bay 7 takes over selling the classic wrap later in the day. Ronto Wrap New: Anything from Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs has completely redefined what a corn dog can be. The Pickle Dog (a hot dog wrapped in a dill pickle, battered, fried, and served with peanut butter dipping sauce) is always available, along with the Mexican Street Dog topped with garlic mayo, cotija, corn, cilantro, and lime. And if you’re feeling brave, their rotating specialty items, like the salmon corn dog, keep things interesting. Bonus tip: if Deep Fried Hawaiian Rolls are on the menu, order them immediately. No questions asked. Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs 3. Cookies If you want cookies, Disney World understands the assignment. Classic: Gideon’s Bakehouse Cookies Gideon’s Bakehouse in Disney Springs continues to dominate the cookie scene with massive, half-pound cookies baked fresh daily. Classic flavors like Chocolate Chip, Cookies and Cream, Peanut Butter Crunch, and Pistachio Toffee Chocolate Chip are always available, while monthly rotating flavors keep things exciting. Gideon’s also offers limited-time cold brews, hot cookie hours, sunset-only cookies, and even secret cake slices that require a password dropped on social media. Gideon’s Bakehouse New: Cookie Croissant The Cookie Croissant at Contempo Café in Disney’s Contemporary Resort takes things to another level. It’s a warm, flaky croissant filled with chocolate chip cookie dough, topped with powdered sugar and milk chocolate drizzle, and yes, it’s served warm. It’s indulgent in the best possible way. Croissant Cookie 4. Cookie Sandwiches Two cookies. Frosting in the middle. Enough said. Classic: Carrot Cake Cookie The Carrot Cake “Cookie” (technically a whoopie pie) from Trolley Car Café in Disney’s Hollywood Studios has been a longtime favorite. Though it’s evolved over the years, the soft carrot cake layers and cream cheese frosting still make this one of the most beloved cookie sandwiches on property. Carrot Cake Whoopie Pie at the Trolley Car Café New: Rotating Karamell-Küche Cookie Sandwiches Karamell-Küche in EPCOT is always dangerous, in the best way. Their rotating caramel cookie sandwiches have included snickerdoodle, gingerbread, and even a carrot cake version. The common denominator? Salted caramel buttercream that steals the show every time. Caramel Chocolate Cookie Sandwich 5. EPCOT Festivals EPCOT festivals are snack heaven. With Festival of the Arts, Flower & Garden, Food & Wine, and Festival of the Holidays, you’ll always find returning favorites paired with brand-new booths and menu items. Festival food is limited-time by nature, so if something catches your eye, order it while you can. We’ll always break down the must-eat festival snacks when each event launches. Sushi Doughnut 6. Cheesy Fries Cheese + fries = happiness. Classic: AJ’s “Birthday Fries” Officially called French Fries with Pulled Pork and Cheese from Flame Tree Barbecue, these fries are loaded with pulled pork, barbecue sauce, and plastic cheese goodness. Bonus points if you eat them near the water with a view of Expedition Everest. Pulled Pork Fries New: Bottomless Truffle Fries During Martini Hour at Summer House on the Lake in Disney Springs (Monday–Friday, 3–6PM), you can order bottomless truffle fries for $10. Thin, crispy fries paired with parmesan and an absolutely addictive truffle aioli make this one of the best deals on property. Bottomless Truffle Fries 7. Cheesecake Disney cheesecake deserves more respect. Classic: Tie-Dye Cheesecake The Tie-Dye Cheesecake is found at Everything Pop Food Court in Disney’s Pop Century Resort. This psychedelic cheesecake sits on a red velvet cake base and tastes just as good as it looks. Tie-Dye Cheesecake New: Seasonal Cheesecake Pops Flame Tree Barbecue has introduced rotating cheesecake pops, including pumpkin in the fall and cranberry-cherry during the holidays. Keep an eye on the menu because these flavors change often. Cranberry-Cherry Cheesecake Pop 8. Buffalo Chicken Buffalo sauce lovers, Disney World sees you. Classic: Buffalo Chicken Waffle Bowl Fairfax Fare’s Buffalo Chicken Waffle Bowl is filled with buffalo chicken, coleslaw, and mashed potatoes. Spicy, crunchy, creamy, and honestly, this snack checks every box. Buffalo Chicken Waffle Bowl New: Buffalo Chicken Tenders Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe has Buffalo Chicken Strips that are coated in zippy sauce and ranch seasoning. Other upgraded chicken tenders across property include lemon pepper parmesan, jerk BBQ, and seaside-style versions. Buffalo Chicken Strips 9. Peanut Butter Peanut butter fans, this one’s for you. Chocolate Peanut Butter Mousse Pie Cup At The Cake Bake Shop Bakery, this mousse-filled cup tastes like an oversized Reese’s cup. We’re talking gooey, rich, and topped with edible glitter because Disney. Chocolate Peanut Butter Mousse Pie Cup 10. Grown-Ups Only (21+) Dessert…with benefits. Classic: Ice Cream Martini L’Artisan des Glaces in EPCOT offers ice cream martinis made with your choice of liqueur and ice cream flavors. And yes, the Croque Glacé deserves a shoutout too, which is a warm brioche with cold ice cream. Ice Cream Martini with white chocolate ice cream and whipped cream vodka New: Nightwraith Blaze Available at Pongu Pongu, this non-alcoholic slushy blends blood orange, lychee, and wildberry with glow cubes and popping pearls. Boozy and non-boozy versions both exist, so you can choose your adventure. Nightwraith Blaze 11. Dole Whip A Disney staple that never stops evolving. Classic: Dole Whip Float Pineapple Dole Whip swirled into pineapple juice from Aloha Isle remains undefeated. Our favorite is the Tropical Serenada. Tropical Serenade New: Dole Whip Flights Swirls on the Water in Disney Springs lets you sample three rotating Dole Whip flavors at once. This is perfect for indecisive snackers. Dole Whip Sampler 12. Soft Pretzels (Beyond Mickey) There are better pretzels than the Mickey-shaped ones. Classic: Stuffed Pretzel with Sweet Cream Cheese Found at various locations, this pretzel is doughy, sweet, and surprisingly filling. Sweet cream cheese inside of a warm pretzel! New: Pretzel Nuggets with Beer Cheese Block & Hans in EPCOT serves soft pretzel nuggets with BBQ seasoning and house-made beer cheese. One cup of cheese is never enough, so plan accordingly. Pretzel Nuggets with Beer Cheese 13. Cheese-Stuffed Snacks More cheese. Always more cheese. Classic: Crispy Mac & Cheese Bites Wine Bar George’s golden nuggets of mac and cheese are available via their to-go window, The Basket. Crispy Mac & Cheese Bites New: Arepas Over at the Smiling Crocodile in Animal Kingdom, you’ll find cheese-stuffed arepas, pulled pork, or pulled chicken, which are flavorful, melty, and only available from 11AM–3PM. Pulled Pork Cheese Arepa 14. Bacon Sweet. Savory. Perfect. Classic: Candied Bacon Skewer Westward Ho’s thick-cut bacon on a stick coated in brown sugar has been a fan favorite for years. Candied Bacon Skewer New: Mickey Bacon-Pecan-Caramel Cinnamon Roll Also at Westward Ho, there is a Mickey-shaped roll that combines caramel, bacon, and pecans for a sweet-and-savory win. It is only available for breakfast, so be sure to grab it first thing! Mickey Bacon-Pecan-Caramel Cinnamon Roll 15. Cinnamon Rolls Disney does cinnamon rolls big. Classic: Gaston’s Tavern Cinnamon Roll Y’all already know that we love this Cinnamon Roll at Gaston’s. It’s huge, gooey, icing-loaded perfection. But don’t forget our trick, to ask for extra icing to really take this thing up a notch. Gaston’s Tavern — Warm Cinnamon Roll New: Orange Cream Cheese Cinnamon Roll Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe’s citrusy twist adds a bright, creamy layer that sets it apart. Cinnamon Roll with Orange Cream Cheese Icing 16. DFB’s Clashing Recommendations Different tastes = better recommendations. AJ’s Favorites A few of AJ’s favorites are the School Bread from Kringla, Pongu Lumpia from Pandora, and hushpuppies from Columbia Harbour House. Pongu Lumpia Breea’s Picks For Breea, she raves about mousse desserts across the property and the plant-based Zucchi Wrap from Ronto Roasters. Zucchi Wrap Snacks We All Agree On Vivoli il Gelato, Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie, and, of course, the legendary Cheeseburger Spring Rolls. Cheeseburger Spring Rolls Disney World snacks in 2026 are next-level. Have you ever fancied yourself as a bartender, or just wanted to learn how to make some of your favorite Disney drinks? Well, a mixology class could teach you how to do JUST that, and doesn’t that sound like a lot of fun? Cheers! If you said, “yes,” you can now take mixology classes at Downtown Disney in Disneyland. In fact, there are mixology classes EVERY month. They’re not free, but if you want to save some money on a mixology class, D23 has got you covered. So here are all the details. You can join the “Parkside Birder Club” at Vista Parkside Market and learn some pretty sweet tips and tricks from bartenders. You can even choose Vista’s next cocktail of the month. If you’re a D23 member (and just a general member, which means even those with free memberships count), you can get $10 off the class! Parkside Market So here’s what you’ll do during the class. Bartenders will give you three cocktails to try. You’ll taste them and then pick your favorite. Then the bartenders will teach you how to make the drink with the most votes. That drink will then become the cocktail of the month during the following month. SO FUN. Oh, and at the end of the year, the most popular cocktail becomes a permanent menu item. You could help create the cocktail of the month! Mixology classes are $119.22, but D23 members can get $10 off that, so that’s roughly $110.22 per person. The class includes three tasting cocktails, ingredients for making the winning cocktail, a $20 Vista Parkside gift card, a Parkside Birders pin, a take-home tiki glass, and one Parkside Market Coffee and light brunch bites. Coffee at Parkside Market If you’re not a D23 member, you can sign up for general membership for free by visiting the D23 website. Then you’ll just use the promo code provided by D23 to get the $10 discount on the class, which you can book here. Happy cocktail-making! The United Kingdom is getting a brand-new theme park experience, and it’s going to be absolutely massive. ©Kynren If you’re a fan of history, live performances, and immersive storytelling, you’re going to want to hear about this one. A company that’s been wowing audiences with their nighttime spectacular for years just announced they’re building an entirely new daytime park on the same property. We’re talking time travel through England’s most iconic periods, and it’s set to open next summer! What’s Coming to England So here’s the deal. You might’ve heard of Kynren – An Epic Tale of England, which is this insanely popular nighttime show that features over 1000 volunteer performers taking you through 2000 years of English history. It’s basically a 90-minute theatrical experience that happens nearly every Saturday night with Auckland Palace as the backdrop, and people have been raving about it for years. ©Peter Haygarth Well, the charity behind Kynren called 11Arches dropped some major news. They’re building a whole new daytime attraction called Kynren – The Storied Lands within the broader Kynren Park in Bishop Auckland, and it’s going to open in Summer 2026 (assuming they get final planning approval). Just keep in mind that this isn’t your typical theme park, though, so don’t go in expecting roller coasters and spinning teacups. What Makes This Different Here’s what makes this place unique. Instead of traditional rides, you’re getting fully immersive experiences and theatrical shows that transport you through different eras of British history. We’re talking heart-pounding action, thrilling stunts, incredible performances, epic music, and innovative technology all wrapped up in an emotional journey through time. ©11Arches They’re planning five main experiences for phase one, and they all sound absolutely wild. First up, you’ll be transported to Fruma: Neolithic Britain, where you’ll experience the era of the first settlers. Then there’s Land of the Vikings, where warriors clash, and fires rage in what they’re calling a multi-sensory spectacle of Viking life (yes, please). ©Kynren The Legend of the Wear is going to be insane. Picture this: a giant lake becomes the stage for thrilling water stunts as they retell the myth of the Lambton Worm. Apparently, a monstrous, cursed creature emerges from the water, which honestly sounds like something we’d wait in line for hours to see. ©Kynren Then there’s The Lost Feather, which is described as a visually stunning free-flying bird show centered around the relationship between birds and humanity. It’s set on a stage inspired by a bird’s nest and will showcase bird species from around the world, highlighting their struggles and triumphs. You’ll also get to explore Victorian Adventure, where you’ll step into an immersive Victorian experience and meet some larger-than-life characters on gaslit streets. ©Kynren The grand finale is Fina, where medieval knights clash on horseback, and a fearless female warrior shows off her courage and skill in what sounds like an absolutely breathtaking display of horsemanship and daring stunts. All of these performances will feature enormous sets, stunning special effects, and Auckland Palace as the backdrop. Plus, they’re incorporating majestic horses, free-flying birds, and other animals into the shows to add authenticity. What People Are Saying The really cool part is that future phases will bring even more attractions, including The Lone Centurion, Tales of the Tudors, Conquest of the Seas, and legendary stories like Excalibur and Robin Hood. That means each visit will offer something fresh and exciting as the park grows. ©Peter Haygarth Now, we’ve got to be real with you. The reaction from theme park fans in the UK has been split. Some people are absolutely thrilled about getting a new attraction of this scale, especially since the UK doesn’t have as many theme parks as the US does. Sure, there are great spots like Alton Towers, LEGOLAND Windsor, and Thorpe Park, but this is definitely bringing something different to the table. ©Luxe Magazine On the flip side, some folks aren’t convinced it’ll be successful without traditional rides. It’s definitely a gamble to open a “theme park” that’s focused entirely on shows and immersive experiences rather than thrill rides, but we think that’s what makes it interesting. Plus, Kynren – An Epic Tale of England is already a landmark attraction in the North East that draws audiences from across the UK, so they’ve got a proven track record. ©Kynren We’ll be sure to keep you updated as we hear more, so stay tuned to DFB! If you’re looking for a little fun in the sun and water, you may be considering a visit to one of Disney World’s water parks. It’s water park fun with Disney theming…what’s not to love? Stitch at Typhoon Lagoon However, if you plan on visiting Typhoon Lagoon soon, which is themed around a typhoon that once destroyed a tropical paradise, you may find yourself out of luck. That’s because Typhoon Lagoon will be closing soon, and we wanted to make sure you’re reminded of that. Typhoon Lagoon will be closing on February 15th, so if you have plans to visit a Disney World water park on or after that date, you’ll want to be aware of this closure. This is a temporary closure, typically indicating that Disney is undergoing refurbishment at the water park. However, Typhoon Lagoon is expected to open again later this year in May, in time for Cool Kids’ Summer to begin! Typhoon Lagoon Disney also has plans to work on one of the attractions at Typhoon Lagoon. The company recently filed a permit for general construction work on Humunga Kowabunga, so that ride will be getting a little extra something or other. Humunga Cowabunga However, you will still be able to visit a water park if that’s on your list of things to do. Blizzard Beach will reopen on February 15th, following a period of refurbishment. Disney tends to stagger the water parks for refurbishment so that at least one is open at all times. Blizzard Beach is themed after a snowy, wintry resort that became that way after a freak blizzard hit Florida (considering the recent weather, that scenario seems more likely!). Blizzard Beach If you’re staying at a Disney World hotel from May 26th through September 8th, you can visit Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon FOR FREE on your arrival day as part of Disney World’s hotel perks. So be sure to take advantage of that if you’re heading to Disney World this summer. We’ll keep an eye out for more closures and reopenings in Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for more. Given the sheer scope of Walt Disney World and the overwhelming amount of guests they deal with, it’s no surprise that Cast Members have encountered their fair share of bizarre experiences over the years. Cast Members From celebrity sightings and the difficulty of maneuvering the maze of the Magic Kingdom’s Utilidors to bizarre encounters with guests, each of these stories exemplifies the kinds of things Cast Members deal with on a daily basis. Celebrities Like Their Coffee Too A former Cast Member who worked at one of Disney’s on-property Starbucks dished on some of their more famous clientele. As they explained it, while most celebs and dignitaries would skip the lines as part of VIP tours, some regulars would wait in line (and anyone whose been to a Disney Starbucks knows how long those lines can get) to get their caffeine fix. As the CM put it, “It was really funny just having a monotonous work day when all of a sudden an actor from your favorite show or the influencer you follow was at your register.” The Line at Main Street Bakery in Magic Kingdom! An Unfortunate Shower Another ex-CM shared a story of a front gate Cast Member who stopped a guest from entering the park with an open beer can. When told they couldn’t bring the alcohol in, the guest responded by throwing said beer on the Cast Member. Suffice to say, the guest was escorted away by security. von Trapp Brewing Bohemian Pilsner Lost on Their First Day A Cast Member shared a story about training at EPCOT, only to be scheduled for their first solo shift at Magic Kingdom, specifically at the Town Square Theater. Town Square Theater When making their way through the Magic Kingdom’s famously maze-like underground Utilidor tunnels without guidance, this CM got completely lost. No one nearby could clearly explain where to go, and they ended up 20 minutes late to their very first shift. Not exactly a “magical” first impression. ©Disney | Obtained via News 6 Orlando A… Unique Haircut An All-Star Resort CM shared an… interesting story about a woman approaching the hotel’s front desk and asking for scissors to cut her hair. When told that scissors couldn’t be handed out, she asked for a trash can instead. The CM provided a small trash can and then watched in stunned silence as the guest used the front desk scissors to cut their hair off right there in the lobby. According to the Cast Member, they immediately threw the scissors away while still processing what had just happened. Lobby ANYthing for a Selfie A Cast Member working at the then-Splash Mountain shared a tale of being met by a disgruntled guest exiting the ride after it was forced to evacuate guests. The guest had been riding with their family and was upset they had been deprived of their full ride experience, to the point that they demanded to be provided with a “magical FastPass” for his entire family to ride whatever they pleased for LIFE. Suffice to say, said guest didn’t take it well when told that kind of pass didn’t exist. Splash Mountain As a postscript to that story, the CM went backstage, and another Cast Member there informed them the ride had been closed due to a guest leaping OUT of their log mid-ride to take a selfie with one of the animatronics and provided information about the guest so they could keep an eye out. The guest? Of course, it was the person who requested the FastPass. An A-Maze-Ing Sight A Cast Member who worked during EPCOT’s Food and Wine Festival told a tale of several guests who had… overindulged in libations… removed their shoes and proceeded into the decorative, calf-high hedge maze in the France Pavilion. When security arrived, the inebriated guests proceeded to run the tiny maze in an attempt to evade the guards… AKA the maze that’s inches high and easily escapable. Suffice to say, they didn’t get far. France These bizarre tales are just some of the wild stories former Cast Members have shared with us over the years. We’ve tried out SO many different kinds of shoes in Disney World, but we’ll tell you right now — not all shoes are built the same. Avia Women’s Athletic Jumbo Lite One pair of shoes isn’t going be perfect across the board for everyone, since everyone’s feet are built differently, but we’ll tell you one thing — choosing the right pair of shoes for your trip is EXTREMELY important. If you don’t know where to start, or don’t know what options to look at, these are five of our favorite options that work no matter what your budget is! DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. Our Top Favorite! Hoka Women’s Clifton 10 Sneakers You’ve likely heard us talk about HOKA shoes a lot, and that’s because they truly are top of the line. While there are a lot of styles out there, one of our absolute favorites is the Hoka Women’s Clifton 10s. These are so bouncy, and they really support the arches of our feet. We’ve previously had an issue where the backs of HOKA sneakers hurt our heels, but that wasn’t the case with these. It was also clear after breaking them in that they’re meant for long-term use, as they weren’t scuffed, the interior wasn’t squished or sunken in, and it was clear to tell the quality was high. Grab it right here! Great Quality, Slightly More Affordable Brooks Ghost 17s If you know HOKAs aren’t for you, for one reason or another, the Brooks Women’s Ghost 17 Neutral Running Shoes are another option to look into. These are pricey, yes, but they really deliver on the promise of being comfortable and form-fitting for your feet. We also really love that, if you order these directly from the manufacturer and don’t like them, you can return them within 90 days for free. Now, these did feel a little heavy when we first started walking around, but our feet conformed to the shoe, and it was easier to wear. We think they’re still a great option for those who plan to walk miles and miles around the parks. Grab it right here! Don’t Sleep on New Balances! ©Amazon We’ve also got multiple members of our team who really adore New Balances, and for good reason! These are supportive, comfortable, and haven’t given us any blisters or discomfort. However, just like with any new shoes, it’s extremely important to break these in before your trip. Sometimes, you can suffer from food discomfort if you break them in by walking 10 miles around Disney World, and then you’re out of luck for the rest of your trip. Grab it right here! The Most Affordable and SUPER Comfortable Avia Women’s Runners We were SHOCKED to find that the Avia Women’s Athletic Jumbo Lite Runner Sneakers from Walmart are comparable in comfort and durability to the HOKAs, but are only $29 in comparison to $100+! These have a great slim fit to them but are cushioned really well, and just like others, they’ll really conform to your feet after breaking them in, so be sure to go on some long walks before your trip begins to make sure they won’t give you blisters. Grab it right here! If You’re A Sandals Person ©Amazon We know there are people out there who aren’t a fan of sneakers, and we understand that! If you want a pair of slides, we recommend the OOFOS OOriginal Recovery Sandals. They’ll dry off easily if you get them wet from rain or a water ride, they stay secure on your feet, and they are super comfortable to wear. We speak from experience! Grab it right here! We’ll continue to keep you updated on all the latest and greatest items for your Disney World trip, so stay tuned to DFB! View the full article

While construction is everywhere in Disney World right now, there’s one park that’s really getting hit extra hard — Disney’s Animal Kingdom. New Animal Kingdom Map This week, the remainder of DinoLand U.S.A. closed forever to make way for the new Tropical Americas land, which takes another ride away from guests visiting the park for now, as well as other attractions like certain meet and greets, dining at Restaurantosaurus, and the closure has made walking around certain parts of the park much harder. We thought things couldn’t get harder for this park, and then Disney made ANOTHER announcement about a temporary closure. Disney’s Hollywood Studios Animation Courtyard Animation Courtyard closed on September 25th, 2025, to make way for Walt Disney Studios. This new area is expected to open in summer 2026 and will be a special nod to the Walt Disney Studios lot. Star Wars Launch Bay will be turned into The Magic of Disney Animation. This attraction will have you interacting and exploring with this fun take on Disney Animation headquarters. Most recently, we just saw Disney add some new trees to the interior here, which means it’s one step closer to opening! Trees have been added! This area will also feature a new Drawn to Wonderland indoor play area and the current Disney Jr. Play and Dance! show will be getting a makeover. During the transformation, you will still be able to visit “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure” and Walt Disney Presents. Muppets Courtyard, including Muppet*Vision 3D, PizzeRizzo, and Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano Muppet*Vision 3D AND PizzeRizzo closed on June 8th, and Muppets Courtyard has been walled off so construction can begin on the new Monsters, Inc. land. Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano has been closed since May 11th. Recently, we got a look at the land as a whole, and we can see that almost all Muppets theming has been removed from the area, with the exception of the PizzeRizzo sign. ©bioreconstruct Don’t worry, the Muppets won’t be missing from Disney’s Hollywood Studios forever. The Muppets will eventually be taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in summer 2026. The Ultimate Guide to Disney’s Hollywood Studios Restaurants EPCOT Frozen Ever After Frozen Ever After is closed temporarily as of January 26th, 2026. The attraction will be closing for a refurbishment that includes updating the Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff audio-animatronic figures. Frozen Ever After closed The new figures will draw inspiration from the advancements seen in the World of Frozen at Hong Kong Disneyland. It was just announced that the ride will be reopening on February 12th with the new updates! Refreshment Port Refreshment Port located near the Canada Pavilion in EPCOT’s World Showcase is temporarily closed for refurbishment as of January 12th. Not so great news if you were hoping to snag a specialty poutine during the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts. The Refreshment Port is closed However, there will still be plenty of yummy snacks to grab! Disney hasn’t yet announced what will be done at Refreshment Port or when the stand will reopen. However, we will keep an eye and ear out for progress and keep you updated. They’re HEEERE! Book EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival Concert Dining Packages NOW Disney Springs Lime Garage The Lime Garage at Disney Springs is closed for refurbishment from January 12th through March 13th, 2026. There will be a small break in the project for President’s Day Weekend, with the garage reopening from February 11th through February 17th. However, after the busy holiday weekend, the garage will be closed again. The bushes = closed off There are still plenty of options for parking at Disney Springs, but if you are headed there during a busy time, you might want to give yourself a bit of extra time to find parking. Guests will be able to park at Orange Garage, Grapefruit Garage, Strawberry Parking Lot, and Watermelon Parking Lot during the closure. What’s NEW in Disney Springs for 2026? Blizzard Beach Blizzard Beach has been closed since September 8th, 2025! While it has been wonderful having BOTH Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon open at the same time this summer (which was the first time this has happened in YEARS), that has now come to an end. Blizzard Beach Have no fear, though, if you are looking for somewhere to cool off and enjoy some fun in the water, Typhoon Lagoon will still be open! Keep an eye on the weather, as Typhoon Lagoon will close when temperatures drop. Beginning February 15th, 2026, Blizzard Beach will be reopening, and Typhoon Lagoon will close for refurbishment. Why the Disney World Water Parks Aren’t Worth Your Time in 2026 (Even When They’re Free!) Disney World Hotels Bay Cove Pool Area — Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort This week, the Bay Cove Pool, the water play area, and the whirlpool spa at Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort will temporarily close for maintenance. Bay Lake Tower During the closure, guests can still use the Bay Lake Pool, the feature pool, the water play area, and the whirlpool spa at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Leisure Pools — Disney’s Yacht Club Resort and Disney’s Beach Club Resort Disney’s Yacht Club and Disney’s Beach Club Resort are currently undergoing visible exterior maintenance. At Disney’s Yacht Club, the Admiral leisure be will be closed for maintenance through early May 2026. Admiral Pool At Disney’s Beach Club, the Tidal leisure pool will be closed for maintenance through early May 2026. Surfboard Bay Pool and Kiddie Pool — Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort From January 2026 through April 2026, the Surfboard Bay Pool and Kiddie Pool at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort will be closed for maintenance. Don’t worry, though, if you are in the swimming mood, you will still have plenty of options for pools. You may just need to travel a bit farther. All-Star Sports Pool At Disney’s All-Star Sports, the Grand Slam Leisure Pool will still be open. As well, you can also use any of the pools at the other All-Star Resorts. You can use the Calypso Pool and Piano Pool and kiddie pool at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort or the Fantasia Pool and Duck Pond Pool and kiddie pool at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort. Promenade Fine Art Gallery — Disney’s BoardWalk Inn and Resort The Promenade Fine Art Gallery will be closing its Disney’s BoardWalk location on October 20th, 2025. However, the Promenade Fine Art Gallery isn’t closing for good, and it will just be moving to a new location. Promenade Fine Art Gallery The gallery hasn’t announced yet where that new location will be, but we will keep you updated as we learn more! Jellyrolls — Disney’s BoardWalk Jellyrolls at Disney’s BoardWalk officially closed on April 19th, 2025. This entertainment venue has provided our team with countless memories, and we know many others are also sad to see it close. Jellyrolls had its final farewell performance on April 19th and closed its doors forever on Disney’s BoardWalk. Jellyrolls at Disney’s BoardWalk However, this isn’t the end for Jellyrolls, as the bar has said they are “making a move.” We don’t know many details about that move yet, but we will keep you updated. 5 Disney World Hotels That Make Early Entry 10X Harder (and 4 You Should Stay at Instead) Don’t want to go through all of the stress of booking your Disney World trip alone? Here at Disney Food Blog, we love runDisney events. When else can you run a marathon in the happiest place on earth? With five amazing races every year, runDisney keeps us hooked. Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend 2022 The runDisney races have changed a lot this year, and for a good reason. They’ve surged in popularity to where last year’s races sold out within seconds of registration opening. Here’s every game-changing announcement for runDisney in 2026! The most noticeable difference for this year is the 5K registration. The 5K race is the most popular, since it’s the shortest and most accessible race. Its popularity meant that it would sell out fast. Last year, only one of our team members was able to register since tickets sold out within minutes of registration opening. ©runDisney Thankfully, this year’s runDisney events aim to fix that – there’s more 5K availability plus staggered start times (no more waking up at 3 AM!). It’s a game-changer for casual runDisney runners. ©runDisney Another game-changer is more characters. runDisney events are known for having rare characters on the marathon course. With the race’s surge in popularity, many runners online have complained that slower-paced participants aren’t able to meet characters due to long lines. At this year’s January marathon, characters included Space Cadet Donald, Sherlock Goofy, and rare Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and Ortensia. Oswald at Disneyland Another great upgrade this year is the themes. Previous races have had many themes with our favorite characters and movies, but they haven’t been cohesive for every marathon weekend until this year. The 2026 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend this fall has each separate race hosted by a character from an EPCOT country. ©Disney The 5K is The Aristocats from France, the 10K is the Mexico Pavilion’s Three Caballeros, the Half Marathon is hosted by Mary Poppins from the UK, and the Wine & Dine Challenge is held by dwarf Grumpy who resides in the Germany Pavilion. The themes quickly went viral, and we’re sure Disney will do it again for future marathons. It’s Grumpy! Another game-changer is runDisney’s newest merch collab. runDisney recently partnered with Brooks running shoes for a whole Disney-inspired collection. These shoes have some of our favorite characters like Mickey Mouse, Chip and Dale, and Stitch, so we can race anywhere in Disney style. They even made an exclusive Disneyland shoe for the 2026 Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend last week to celebrate Disneyland’s 70th anniversary! ©runDisney We’re so glad Disney has made some changes to make our next runDisney race even better. Disney World is always changing with rides getting reimagined, hotels getting refreshed, and even the smallest details evolving over time. Buffalo Chicken Strips But lately, we’ve noticed a very specific change happening across restaurants and snack stands, and honestly? We’re obsessed with it. Disney World has quietly started a new food trend: taking one wildly popular, familiar item and remixing it into multiple versions across the parks and resorts. Instead of introducing totally brand-new snacks that guests might skip, Disney is leaning into foods people already love… and then making them impossible to ignore. Think of it like a food scavenger hunt, and we want more. Turning “Basic” Into a Must-Try Let’s start with one of the best examples: chicken tenders. Yes, chicken tenders. Once upon a time, they were the “safe” menu choice that was reliable, but not exciting. Now? Disney has proven they’re anything but boring. Starting in 2025, Disney World added 9 different flavors of chicken tenders all over Disney World. Chicken Tenders at Cosmic Ray’s Across the parks, we’ve seen chicken tenders show up with bold seasonings, crunchy coatings, house-made sauces, and even unexpected flavor profiles that feel way more “snack-worthy” than standard chicken tenders from a theme park. Some versions are clearly designed for adventurous eaters, while others still hit that classic comfort-food note. ALL the chicken tenders Our favorites? Over in Magic Kingdom to try the Seaside Chicken Strips at Columbia Harbour House for $12.99. These are topped with a seasoned aioli, crushed pretzels, and crispy garlic, and y’all, don’t knock pretzels and chicken tenders together. You can taste all of the spices in the aioli without it being spicy, and the crispy pretzels add a beautiful crunch and a punch of salt. We loved the salt and how the crispy garlic added a deeper depth of flavor without making each bite overwhelmingly garlicy. Seaside Chicken Strips The Buffalo Chicken Strips at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe for $12.99. This is coated in buffalo sauce and topped with ranch seasoning. The sauce wasn’t too spicy; instead, it came at the end of each bite as a kick, allowing you to taste the sauce without your tongue burning off. There wasn’t a ton of ranch seasoning on top to cool it down, so we could have used more or had a side of ranch, but these had great classic flavor, and you’ll have those traditional orange fingers at the end. Read All Of Our Chicken Tender Reviews Here Buffalo Chicken Strips Mickey Bars, But Make It a Challenge Another classic getting the remix treatment: Mickey Premier Ice Cream Bars. Instead of just one iconic Mickey bar, Disney has expanded the lineup with different coatings, textures, and flavors. You can go classic or something with a twist. Guests start comparing notes, ranking favorites, and (let’s be honest) planning which one to try next. That’s the fun of this trend: it turns food into an experience, not just a pit stop. Mickey Sprinkles Premium Bar A few of the most interesting ones: Over at the Anandapur Ice Cream Truck at Animal Kingdom, to pick up the hand-dipped Mickey Premium Bar with Freeze Dried Skittles for $7.99. They’re crunchy like an M&M would be, but they’ve got the fruity tartness you expect from Skittles. It’s a LOT of sweetness, but the lemon and orange Skittles help to break some of that up. We liked this more than we thought we would — especially the crunch! Mickey Premium Bar with Freeze Dried Skittles Then over to Fort Wilderness Resort to check out the Hand-dipped Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Bar with Chopped Peanut Butter Cups for $7.99 at Trail’s End. This one is easily our favorite new addition to the Mickey Ice Cream bar family! The peanut butter also added another layer of creaminess to this treat, enhancing it even more than we ever thought possible. If you’re a fan of peanut butter and chocolate, this is 100% a must-grab. Read Our Full Reviews Here Hand-dipped Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Bar 88 with Chopped Peanut Butter Cups Loaded Fries Are Everywhere (And We’re Not Mad) If you’ve noticed loaded fries popping up all over Disney World, you’re not imagining it. Disney has taken simple fries and transformed them with toppings like specialty sauces, proteins, cheeses, and seasonings that feel specific to each location. Some are snack-sized, and some are practically meals. Buffalo Fries Our favorites are the Buffalo Fries at Rosie’s All-American Cafe at Disney’s Hollywood Studios for $6.99. These are ranch seasoned french fries drizzled with buffalo-ranch sauce and blue cheese dressing. We also can’t talk about loaded fries without talking about the Pulled Pork Fries at Flame Tree Barbecue in Animal Kingdom. These are fries topped with pulled pork and cheddar sauce for $8.99. French Fries with Pulled Pork and Cheese Croissants: Same Pastry, Totally Different Vibes Even croissants are getting the Disney treatment. Instead of a single standard version, we’re seeing croissants used as the base for sweet and fully loaded creations across different locations. One might feel like a classic bakery item, while another turns into a full-on sandwich or indulgent dessert. It’s familiar enough that guests feel comfortable ordering it, but different enough that it feels special every time. Creme Brulee Croissant For a few favorites, we love the Creme Brulee Croissant at Gaston’s Tavern for $6.49. Over at the Contempo Cafe at Disney’s Contemporary, there is a heavenly Cookie Croissant for $6.49. Both of these are great sweet treats to share with someone or enjoy solo! Croissant Cookie Why This Trend Works What makes this trend so smart is that it hits every kind of Disney guest: First-timers feel safe ordering something recognizable Frequent visitors get a reason to try “just one more version.” Foodies can rank, compare, and hunt down favorites Instead of overwhelming menus with totally new items, Disney is building excitement around foods guests already know and love. By diversifying popular food items across multiple locations, Disney has created a trend that feels fun, approachable, and surprisingly addictive. These are all found at quick-service restaurants and snack stands, making them easy to grab and go while enjoying a great snack. Whether it’s chicken tenders, Mickey ice cream, loaded fries, or croissants, these familiar favorites now come with built-in variety, and we’re absolutely here for it. Mickey Premium Bar with Sprinkles With Disney World constantly adding new foods and getting rid of some, our DFB team is in the parks to bring you the latest news. Whether you’ve got a date or you’re riding solo this Valentine’s Day, you need to get this special treat at Disney World! Valentine’s Day Brownie We’re always on the hunt for limited-time treats around Disney World, and we found that’s out for the season of love. The best part is you don’t have to go to the parks to grab this treat, as it’s at one of Disney World’s Deluxe hotels! A new limited-time treat just dropped for Valentine’s Day at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, and it could be a sweet gift for your significant other. You can grab it at the Gasparilla Island Grill. Gasparilla Island Grill The treat is called the Valentine’s Day Brownie, and you can get it for $6.79. The treat is a brownie with strawberry crunch topping, strawberry jam, strawberry cream cheese icing, and is topped with a sweet little heart. A whole lot of strawberries! New treat alert! This treat is for lovers of dense, fudgy brownies. The strawberry cream cheese is light and fluffy and has a pleasant strawberry taste, which is elevated by the strawberry jam. This brownie is a little tough to cut, but the texture is rich and dense. Valentine’s Day Brownie! The strawberry crunch topping is tart and adds texture. This is a cute Valentine’s Day treat, but we’re not sure it’s a must-try due to the density of the brownie. The other components were our favorite parts of this treat over the brownie itself. Again, if you love dense brownies and strawberry-flavored treats, you’ll probably enjoy this more! Let’s take a bite! We love going around Disney World, grabbing all the new and unique sweet treats we can find, and then passing our review on to you so you can decide if it’s worth your time to try. Let me put you on to a hidden Disney World restaurant that feels like a real night out. Kimonos Kimonos at Disney’s Swan and Dolphin Resorts is one of those spots that makes you forget you’re even on Disney World property in the best way possible! Between the sushi, cocktails, and late-night lounge vibes, it feels more like a trendy city hangout than a hotel restaurant. In this full review, I’m sharing exactly what it’s like inside, what to order, and whether it lives up to the hype. Atmosphere Kimonos is best described as lively, modern, and social with a touch of nightlife energy. It’s a restaurant that feels just as comfortable for a fun dinner with friends as it does for drinks and late-night entertainment. Inside, you’ll find a sleek, contemporary dining room with an open sushi bar, warm lighting, and stylish décor that strikes a balance between upscale and casual. Step inside Kimonos restaurant What really sets Kimonos apart is its vibe shift as the night goes on. After dinner service, the restaurant often transitions into a buzzing lounge scene with live music or DJ sets and spontaneous karaoke, drawing a crowd that stays late to eat, drink, and hang out well past typical park-closing times. It’s energetic without being chaotic (think sophisticated sushi spot meets fun night out), making it a go-to choice for adults looking for a memorable evening beyond typical theme park dining. Dining room If you take a look around you, there’s more than might meet the eye at first. As soon as you walk in, your eyes are immediately met with the fresh sushi bar where you can actually watch your order being prepared right in front of you… Sushi bar …and several of the traditional Kimono dresses are hung around the restaurant. Kimonos hung around the restaurant While it’s not a huge restaurant, it’s just the type of place that feels intimate in a cozy, yet casual vibe that’s perfect for all kinds of dinners between hungry solo travelers, couples looking for a low-key date night, anyone ready to take in the latest game at the bar in the back, or families that appreciate a quick breather from the fast pace of Disney World’s parks. Bar in the back But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?! Menu The menu at Kimonos is best described as a sushi-centric, Asian-inspired dinner experience with a broad selection of fresh seafood, shareable appetizers, and both raw and cooked sushi options. It blends traditional Japanese staples with creative twists, including signature rolls like the Dragon Roll, Lollipop Roll, and Kimonos Roll alongside nigiri and sashimi selections, tempura, gyoza, seared tuna, and wagyu beef skewers. Menu You’ll also find a variety of soups, salads, small plates, and specialty cocktails, making it ideal for everything from a full dinner to a shared sushi-and-drinks night — and the intimate, stylish atmosphere adds to the experience, often capped off with late-night karaoke after dinner service. Sake menu Kimonos also now carries a separate menu for desserts that includes Ube Cheesecake and a White Chocolate Mousse Sphere. But don’t worry — if you’re a fan of the Mochi they’re known to carry, they’re still on the menu here too! Dessert menu And now, onto the main event — the food! Drinks To drink, we picked up the Raspberry Sake Sangria for $16. We didn’t walk into Kimonos with a drink already picked out, but after our server recommended the Raspberry Sake Sangria as one of their most popular options, it was an easy yes. It’s made with sake, Kenwood Merlot, pomegranate, raspberry, and triple sec, and honestly, it tastes EXACTLY like what you’d hope a sake-meets-sangria cocktail would taste like. Raspberry Sake Sangria The first sip hits with that tangy, fruity sangria vibe right away, with the pomegranate and raspberry bringing a really bright, juicy sweetness. But then, right at the end, you get that unmistakable sake finish that gives it a slightly deeper, more complex edge. The best comparison I can make is that it’s almost like a sangria version of the Violet Sake from Japan in EPCOT — familiar, but with a fun twist. There’s also this subtle little fizz to it, almost like a gentle carbonation, which I’m guessing comes from the triple sec and the way everything blends together. Texture-wise, it’s really interesting! It sits perfectly in between being a wine-based sangria and a sake cocktail, and it’s one of those drinks you just keep sipping because you’re trying to fully place what you’re tasting. We see why it’s a favorite! Overall, it’s super balanced, super drinkable, and easily one of those “I get why this is a fan favorite” cocktails. If you like fruity drinks but still want something with a little depth beyond just straight sweetness, this one is absolutely worth trying. Eats TO start things off, we ordered the Miso Soup for $8. This is made with dashi, miso paste, Tofu, and seaweed. We have to give a quick shoutout to the miso soup here, because it genuinely surprised us. Even someone who’s not the biggest miso soup person can appreciate how this one was really, really well done. Miso Soup It wasn’t overly earthy or heavy, and instead it leaned more into that comforting, savory onion-broth kind of base while still keeping the richness and warmth you want from miso. It felt a little more balanced and filling without being overpowering, which made it an easy starter even for someone who doesn’t normally order it. YUMMM And honestly, even as it cooled down, it still held up flavor-wise. I could see myself drinking this one warm or even closer to room temp and still enjoying it, which says a lot. If you’re on the fence about miso soup, this is definitely one of the better versions to try. We also opted to grab the Wagyu Beef Skewers for $21. This is made with clamshell mushrooms, scallions, and miso-mustard. Wagyu Beef Skewers The Wagyu beef skewers were easily one of the standout dishes for us. We’re not exaggerating when we say we could eat these until kingdom come. The miso-mustard almost comes across like an aioli at first (creamy and smooth) but then you get that unmistakable mustard bite underneath, almost like a savory paste that adds just the right amount of sharpness and depth. Just look how perfect they are The beef itself is a really healthy portion of Wagyu, and it is incredibly juicy and tender. It honestly doesn’t even need much seasoning because all of the flavor comes from everything it’s paired with (especially that sauce and the mushrooms). And speaking of the mushrooms…we need to talk about them, because our reporter doesn’t even like mushrooms, and somehow these were so good. They were pillowy with just enough chew, and when you combine them with the beef, it’s basically perfection. The whole bite just melts together in this rich, buttery way. Up close Now, we will say, they are on the smaller side for $21, but at the same time, it’s Wagyu, and you can absolutely taste the quality. The beef is perfectly pink, broiled just enough to brighten up the flavor without covering it up with too many extra bells and whistles. It’s simple, but it’s executed so well that it feels like actual food science. Just one of the skewers If you’re looking for something indulgent, savory, and genuinely memorable at Kimonos, these skewers are absolutely worth ordering. The Dragon Roll really stood out to us from the signature rolls, so we ordered it too for $21. At our server’s recommendation, we went with the Dragon Roll as our signature sushi pick, and…yeah, we get it! This roll is made with crispy giant shrimp, avocado, cream cheese, and eel sauce, and it is honestly just unbelievably creamy and satisfying from the first bite. Dragon Roll Everything about it works together so well. The shrimp gives you that crispy, hearty texture, while the avocado and cream cheese make the whole thing feel rich and smooth without being too heavy. And we have to admit, we didn’t even realize it was eel sauce until after we ate it, because it’s not overpowering or “fishy” in any way. It just adds this sweet-savory glaze that ties everything together perfectly. So pretty! It’s also beautifully presented, with that classic dragon-style topping that makes it feel like a true signature dish. And the roll itself is so soft and easy to bite into, which is saying something because I’m not usually a sushi person. This is one of the few rolls where we could genuinely sit there and enjoy it without overthinking it. Now, the shrimp tails were probably the only small downside (not our favorite texture), but everything else was so complimentary that it didn’t really matter. Just a bite And honestly? This might be the best sushi we’ve had anywhere on Disney property! We’ve enjoyed sushi at other spots like Splitsville and even California Grill, but this is the kind of roll you leave raving about. If you’re a sushi fan, Kimonos is THE place — you don’t need to go searching around the property for great sushi when it’s sitting right here! Winding down, we decided we’d saved a little room for dessert. So, naturally, we ordered one of the restaurant’s newest desserts, the White Chocolate Mousse Sphere, for $14. We are not exaggerating when we say we would come back to Kimonos just for this alone!! It’s one of those desserts that sounds complicated on paper but makes total sense the second you take a bite. White Chocolate Mousse Sphere It’s essentially a light ginger-lime chiffon cake wrapped around a mango and pineapple compote, all encased in a sesame seed mousse and covered in white chocolate with toasted sesame seeds on the outside. There’s also a mango-pineapple sauce drizzled around it, which just adds even more bright, tropical sweetness. Inside of the sphere When you cut into it, there’s this whole pocket of fruit inside (like chunks of mango and pineapple, almost like a chutney), and it’s so flavorful and balanced. The fruit is sweet without being overwhelming, and together it almost gives this peachy vibe, even though you can still distinctly taste both the pineapple and the mango separately. What surprised us most is how light it feels. Even after a really filling meal, this works perfectly as a palate cleanser because it’s airy, refreshing, and just rich enough without being heavy. And then the toasted sesame seeds add this extra layer of crunch and nuttiness that makes the texture so interesting with every bite. Forked! Also, a quick pro tip: ask for the full dessert menu when you’re here. Online, you might only see Mochi listed, but our server explained that they actually have a trio of desserts available now (something the chefs created post-COVID), and this mousse sphere is absolutely one you don’t want to miss. Truly one of the best surprise desserts we’ve had on Disney property. And for good measure, our servers decided we also deserved an extra special send-off, so they brought out Mochi to the table. This will cost you $6, and we were served vanilla and chocolate as a surprise. Mochi This sweet little bonus was such a fun way to end the meal. Right now, they’re only offering the vanilla and chocolate flavors, and while they typically have more variety, like strawberry, these still totally hit the spot if you’re craving something simple and classic. Vanilla and Chocolate The vanilla mochi is light and creamy on the inside, with that soft, chewy rice dough on the outside that makes mochi so satisfying. The chocolate version is a little richer and more indulgent, almost like a frozen chocolate mousse tucked inside that same chewy shell. They’re small, easy to snack on, and a really nice, refreshing finish after a meal that’s as flavorful and filling as Kimonos. Nosh or Not This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if… The Sushi Is Truly Standout (Even If You’re Not a Sushi Person.) Kimonos might honestly be one of the best places on Disney property for sushi, and that’s coming from someone who doesn’t even usually gravitate toward it. The signature rolls are creamy, beautifully balanced, and feel genuinely high quality. The kind of sushi you leave raving about instead of just saying, “Yeah, it was fine.” The Food Feels Elevated but Still Comfortably Approachable. From the Wagyu beef skewers with that addictive miso mustard to surprisingly well-done starters like the miso soup, everything here feels thoughtfully prepared without being intimidating. It’s a great mix of flavorful, indulgent dishes that still feel approachable even if you’re not an expert in Japanese cuisine. It’s a Hidden Gem With Serious Disney Heart. Kimonos has that rare “classic Disney World restaurant” feel — not just because the food is great, but because the Cast Members and longtime staff bring so much warmth and personality to the experience. Between the atmosphere, the service, and even the off-menu dessert surprises, it feels like one of those places that rewards you for venturing beyond the parks. You should skip this Disney World spot if… It’s Definitely on the Pricier Side for What You’re Getting. While the quality is there, Kimonos isn’t exactly a budget-friendly meal. Between specialty cocktails, sushi rolls, and dishes like the Wagyu skewers, it can add up quickly, especially if you’re ordering multiple items. If you’re trying to keep your dining costs low, this might feel more like a splurge than a casual stop. The Menu Is More Niche Than a Typical Disney Restaurant. Kimonos is heavily focused on sushi and Japanese-inspired flavors, so if you’re dining with picky eaters or someone who isn’t into seafood, rice, or more adventurous flavor combinations, the options may feel a little limited. It’s not one of those “everyone will find something” Disney menus. It’s a Bit Out of the Way Compared to In-Park Dining. Because Kimonos is located at the Swan and Dolphin, it’s not as convenient as grabbing a meal inside EPCOT or one of the more central resort restaurants. You kind of have to plan for it (whether that means leaving the parks early or making it part of a resort evening) so it’s not always the easiest option for a quick dining decision. Overall Overall, Kimonos was such a pleasant surprise and genuinely one of the most memorable meals we’ve had in a while that’s off-property but still within the Disney bubble. Between the standout sushi, the incredibly tender Wagyu skewers, and desserts that felt way more special than we ever expected, everything was thoughtfully done and full of flavor. It’s the kind of place that feels like a hidden gem — a little bit of a splurge, a little out of the way, but absolutely worth it if you’re looking for something different from the usual Disney dining routine!
