It’s all sugar, spice, and everything nice as the holidays are in full swing at Disney California Adventure. Tis The Season at California Adventure! We’re revving up our appetite for a limited-time seasonal offering from the Cozy Cone Motel. Disneyland is offering up a slew of seasonal churros this season, but the Cozy Cone Motel is serving the mega cute and photographable Sugar Cookie Churro. Sugar Cookie Churro Priced at $5.79, this is a classic churro that’s topped with white icing and holiday sprinkles. Perfect for all you churro purists out there looking to one-up your churro game this holiday season. The icing was extremely sweet and very messy, but we have to give props for its festive presentation! Sugar Cookie Churro As expected, the churro itself was perfectly crispy on the outside and warm and fluffy on the inside! Give Santa an upgrade to those totally generic sugar cookies you left out for him last year. What Santa REALLY wants is a Disney churro, OBV. The Sugar Cookie Churro is available this holiday season from the Cozy Cone Motel in Disney California Adventure. Check out ALL the delicious holiday offerings in Disneyland this holiday season! The Holidays are in full swing at Disneyland and with it comes a ton of seasonal holiday treats! Christmas Tree at Disneyland Park While we’ve seen lots of sweet treats around the park like the Cranberry Julep, the CUTE Green Alien Santa Macarons, and the tasty Apple Pie Slush, but sometimes we’re feeling salty (in a good way) and want a savory option! If you’re craving something of salty goodness and substance, head to Refreshment Corner on Main Street, U.S.A. They’re offering up a seasonal French Dip Sandwich. Priced at $13.49, this dish features a Crunchy French Roll, Spicy Mustard, Roast Beef and Au Jus, served with choice of Sliced Apples or small bag of Chips. French Dip Sandwich Let’s break this thing down. First, you have a FRESH french roll that had the perfect crisp to its outer shell and a soft inside. The main event, Roast Beef, was soft and tender. You know a French Dip is excellent if you don’t even need the Au Jus sauce! Let’s get to that au jus, it just heightened each bite making it extra juicy and extra flavorful. You may be thinking: Why is there spicy mustard on a French Dip? (TBH: so were we!). It wasn’t overwhelming, adding just the right amount of flavor and a welcome slightly spicy kick! French Dip Sandwich This is a DEFINITE recommendation!! Hearty, flavorful, and the perfect meal for a busy day in the park! The French Dip Sandwich is a seasonal offering available only for a limited time from Refreshment Corner on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland! Check Out All Of The 2019 Holidays Treats At Disneyland! Overeating, merry greetings — it’s CHRISTMASTIME in Disney World! Gingerbread Cookies And, even though we’ve been keeping you up to date on everything happening in Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios, even the Disney resorts are getting in the (gingerbread) spirit! While we’ve already spotted the Gingerbread Castle at the Contemporary and the Gingerbread House at the Grand Floridian, the Gingerbread Cabin at Wilderness Lodge Resort is NEW this year! Wilderness Lodge Thanks to our follower @bride_of_duffman, we were able to see the Gingerbread Cabin starting to get built in the lobby. (Look at those bakers hard at work!!) Gingerbread Cabin Construction Although we spotted a roof and the Gingerbread Cabin’s sign previously… Gingerbread Cabin Sign …we’re super excited to actually see the cabin start to get sweetly stacked up for the holidays! On top of the beautiful atmosphere at the Wilderness Lodge, the smell of gingerbread is going to make guests’ stays even better! Gingerbread Cabin If you’re in Disney World this holiday season, be sure to check out the Gingerbread Cabin. We’ll keep you updated with more info as it comes! Will you be staying at the Wilderness Lodge during Christmas? Let us know in the comments below! There’s SOOO many new holiday options in Disneyland and we’re trying them ALL! Galactic Grill After sampling the space-tastic goodies at Alien Pizza Planet, we zipped over to Galactic Grill in Disneyland’s Tomorrowland to check out the four new holiday selections — yes, four!! Santa could fill his toy sack with all the treats and eats that have rolled into Disneyland for the Christmas season. Want to know what we thought of these futuristic seasonal dishes?? Galactic Grill introduced four new specials for the holiday season including the Steakhouse Burger, the Apple Pie Slush, the Nova Coffee Slush and the Caramel Pecan Brownie Parfait. We were super pumped to try these dishes out! Apple pie in slush form? Um… YES PLZ!!! Holiday Galactic Grill Let’s take a look at those slushes! We’re always excited to see a new coffee offering in the parks because in Disney, a coffee pick-me-up can do WONDERS when you’ve been running around all day! So, we gave the Nova Coffee Slush a try for $5.49 first! This drink is made with coffee and flavored with chocolate and mint. It’s also got a good mound of whipped cream on top that is dusted with peppermint flakes. Holiday Galactic Grill The peppermint flakes give this slush a pretty seasonal look and the flavors were good, but it’s not exactly jaw-dropping. It tasted less like a coffee slush and more like a chocolate milk slush which isn’t a bad thing! The mint flavor comes mostly from the peppermint topping so it was only mildy minty. Overall, it’s a light drink and pretty refreshing. Plus, with that coffee it gave us a little more fuel in the tank! This is a great pick if you want that Christmasy peppermint drink but not so in your face with it that you feel like you got attacked by a tube of toothpaste! Holiday Galactic Grill Next was the Apple Pie Slush which we were PUMPED to taste. This pie-flavored slush is topped with whipped cream and pie spice and is also priced at $5.49! We liked this one better than the Nova Coffee Slush because it REALLY does taste like you’re drinking real apple pie in slushy form. Chewing is so overrated. Holiday Galactic Grill You know how sometimes something tastes awesome at first then you go a bit flavor-numb to it after a few sips? That kinda happened here with the pie spice part of the drink. First sips were like a pie exploded in our mouths then after a while it tasted more like plain frozen apple juice. Still really refreshing and tasty, just not as “OMG — PIE!!!” after a while. Holiday Galactic Grill A little rarer than seasonal treats are full out seasonal meals so we were thrilled to see the Steakhouse Burger as an option for the holidays for $14.49. We’re still scratching our heads of how a regular ol’ burger counts as a holiday meal, but ok Disneyland, we’re here for you. The burger is an Angus beef patty with provolone, onion strings and bacon served with Greek yogurt or fries. Holiday Galactic Grill We were surprised by this one mostly because of how small the burger was! This thing is TINY compared to other Disney burgers! We were expecting some serious size and flavor with a gourmet name like Steakhouse Burger. The beef patty was fairly thin, and the bacon and onion were on the soggy side on ours. This is a perfectly fine burger if that’s what you’re in the market for, but we went in expecting a bit more. Holiday Galactic Grill Luckily though, our holiday feast ended with a DELISH finale. The Caramel Pecan Brownie Parfait was by far our fave special at Galactic Grill. It’s made up of chocolate cake soaked in sweet condensed milk, caramel-covered pecans, and brownie. How could we not like it?? This treat is available for $6.99 and comes topped with cute holiday sprinkles, crumbled pecans, a dollop of whipped cream, and a white chocolate Mickey! Holiday Galactic Grill The parfait has a full and thick layer of pecans that gives it an awesome texture but our favorite part was the lowest layer. The milk-soaked chocolate cake was flavorful and so, so, so perfectly moist! It was like chocolate tres leches (uno leches? Hmm…)! The toppings didn’t add too much to the flavor but they certainly made the treat look especially festive. Holiday Galactic Grill So, there you have it! Galactic Grill has some out of this world treats and eats, so head on over if you want to try them for yourself! Click here to see all of the holiday offerings in Disneyland this year! There’s certainly no shortage of festive food to be found at Disneyland’s Festival of Holidays at California Adventure! 2019 Festival of Holidays The star of the show may be the Marketplace Booths, but other favorite dining spots are offering up some amazing seasonal dishes of their own! …and the award goes to! We head to our favorite spot in the park for a hot dog, Award Weiners. This place is KNOWN for their awesome and amazing seasonal offerings, like their Lava Dog, Lava Fries, and Sorcerer Mickey Funnel Cake Fries. We can NEVER get enough of their Filmstrip Fries, which are basically thick and tasty steak fries! Award Wieners Filmstrip Fries Presenting, the Cheesy “Corn” Fries from Award Weiners. Returning for the holidays is the Cheesy “Corn” Dog and, basically, they took the already uhhhmazing Filmstrip Fries and topped them with all the goodies that come on the corndog! The fries are covered in tangy Corn-Cheese Sauce, Chile-Lime-dusted Corn Fritters, Pickled Fresno Chiles and Cilantro. Cheesy Corn Fries Priced at $8.99, these cheese corn fries deserve an award all on their own. First off, let’s start with the fun shape of the fries… they are thick, slightly curly, and oh so tasty! Great on their own, but mix them together with crispy sweet corn fritters, savory cheese sauce, sweet corn, and peppers, and you’ve got yourself a snack that packs a flavorful punch. Cheesy Corn Fries Head on over to Award Weiners for this noteworthy seasonal snack AND the return of its big brother, the Cheesy “Corn” Dog. You know that GREAT smell of cookies baking in the oven? Mickey Gingerbread Man Cookie Yes, we’re daydreaming about all the delicious cookies coming to Disneyland for the holidays! And, even though we’ve spotted treats like the Sugar Cookie Churro and the Mickey Gingerbread Man Cookie, a NEW baked good treat is getting brewed up for Christmas that we LOVED! The Snickerdoodle Cold Brew is a brrrrilliant take on a classic cookie at the Hungry Bear Restaurant! The cold brew is topped with a snickerdoodle cream foam, a snickerdoodle cookie, cookie crumbles, and festive sprinkles! (It looks like a literal plate of cookies!!) This drink is actually a delightfully different Christmas drink compared to others we’ve seen in the parks! The cold brew has a smooth, full-bodied, and rich flavor that kept us sipping away. The snickerdoodle foam cream is sweet and cinnamon-y, so you could taste it with every bite. The mini snickerdoodle cookie, cookie crumbles, and sprinkles add some extra chewiness and crunchiness to the drink that we LOVED. Seriously, if you’re a coffee-lover, this holiday treat is the perfect way to start Christmas off right!! Get into the holiday spirit with the Snickerdoodle Cold Brew for $5.99! You could even have 2 — y’know, to keep your energy up for all those rides! And, while you’re there, be sure to check out the other Christmas treats in Disneyland and Disney California Adventure! Even when it’s NOT the most wonderful time of the year, we still love dining at Disneyland’s Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante! Rancho Del Zocalo Thanks in large part to its location right next to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Frontierland, we love hearing the train whistles as we feast on delicious tacos, burritos, and other Mexican-inspired eats on Rancho del Zocalo’s large outdoor patio! And today we just had to make our way over to Rancho del Zocalo to taste ALL FOUR of their seasonal offerings! First up — the Caldo de Pollo Soup! This hearty soup of chicken, vegetables, and rice is served with diced onions, fresh cilantro, and a plump little wedge of lime! Caldo de Pollo Soup The Caldo de Pollo Soup was a big hit with us — definitely worth getting, and only costs $5.99! Absolutely delicious and packed with flavor while still being very light and tasty! Plus, check out the huge piece of corn in ours! Caldo de Pollo Soup Next, we tried the seasonal Chicken Mole for $15.49. It’s a HUGE honking plate of food! The entree consists of an entire half of a chicken with seasoned with Mexican spices, topped with mole, sour cream and toasted sesame seeds. A side of tortillas, Mexican rice, and refried beans completes the whole thing — just in case you were still feeling peckish after that half of a chicken you just ingested! Chicken Mole The chicken was crazy moist and cooked perfectly. If you’ve never had mole, it’s a chocolate (but not sweet!) based sauce. The mole sauce was very smooth, flavorful — not overly sweet like some moles can be. There was just a hint of heat to the sauce, but not enough to scare any first-timers trying mole away. Meanwhile, the rice and beans were just standard — not good or bad, just there if you still had room for ’em! We recommend stuffing your chicken into those tortillas and sopping up that yummy sauce! Chicken Mole We also tasted the Champurrado with Churro Bites for $4.99. It’s a traditional “mexican hot chocolate” and not like its counterpart Abuelita Hot Chocolate. Champurrado is thicker and creamier, typically thickened with masa (corn flour). Flavored with cinnamon, vanilla, and other spices, this one was just okay in our opinion. It’s supposed to be served with churro bites for dipping, but sadly they were out when we stopped by. We’re thinking the combo of churros and the thick drink would have been pretty stellar! Champurrado with Churro Bites Lastly, we sampled the Pan Dulce Ice Cream Sandwich for $7.99. Presentation-wise, this guy’s a show stopper (and it’s the holiday colored version of Pan Dulce Ice Cream Sandwich Rancho del Zocalo had at Halloween!) The Mexican sweet bread is picture-perfect with its festive red and green shell swirl, stuffed with dulce de leche ice cream and cajeta (Mexican caramel), sprinkled with silver star sugar, garnished with whipped cream, churro streusel, and a white chocolate Sugar Skull decoration. Pan Dulce Ice Cream Sandwich It looks fantastic, and the flavors didn’t disappoint either! The dulce de Leche ice cream was drenched in that cateja sauce and was delicious. We thought the concha bread was a little dry for our liking, but altogether the flavors really sung. Pan Dulce Ice Cream Sandwich So next time you hear the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad whistle blow, head over to Rancho del Zocalo to rustle up one of their holiday menu items for yourself! Do you enjoy dining at Rancho del Zocalo when you visit Disneyland? Let us know why (or why not!) in the comments section below! We can’t get enough of all the eats and treats popping up in Disneyland for the holidays! Sleeping Beauty Castle Holiday Decor In New Orleans Square, we’ve already sampled the new Cranberry Julep at the Mint Julep Bar and the Holiday Pozole at Harbour Galley, but now we’re gonna deck the halls with some delicious seafood! (Merry Fish-mas, everyone! ;D) The Blue Lump Crab Fritters are being tossed and fried at Royal Street Veranda for Christmastime! Cafe Orleans Holiday Menu The fritters are filled with crab, cream cheese (!!!), Old Bay seasoning, herbs, and citrus, and also come with a cocktail dipping sauce. Blue Lump Crab Fritters Just one bite, and we were already in love with these fritters. The contrast in texture between the crispy outer shell and the soft filling (and that crunch sound!!) is wonderful. The consistency of the filling almost resembles a chicken salad, but it’s considerably less thick and melts into your mouth. Yeahhh, it’s just as good as it sounds!! While the crab is delicious, the cream cheese makes it even better as it’s the most prominent flavor (which we OBVIOUSLY can’t get enough of). Melty CREAM CHEESE!! While the fritters were soooo good on their own, the mild cocktail sauce cranks them to the next level. The slightly sweet sauce pairs perfectly with the cream cheese and the crab, tying the whole dish together. For real, we’ve never finished a snack so fast in the parks before!! Cocktail Sauce You can try the incredible Blue Lump Crab Fritters for yourself for $6.49 before the Annual Passholder discount. But, we can’t promise you’re not going to want seconds!! (; A Christmas Fantasy Parade While we’ve been snacking on treats like the Raspberry Mascarpone Yule Log, Peppermint Churro, and the Caramel Pecan Brownie Parfait, we’re trying a twist on a classic dessert for the holidays in Disney California Adventure! The Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake Funnel Cake is the like Halloween, Thanksgiving dinner, AND Christmas dessert combined into one treat at the Hungry Bear Restaurant. Hungry Bear Restaurant ©Disney Of course, Hungry Bear is the epitome of all things Funnel Cake in Walt’s original park. We’ve had SO many goodies here, including the still-dream-about-it-on-the-regular Churro funnel cake! And now they’ve introduced another seasonal situation! The huge funnel cake is topped with pumpkin pie cheesecake mousse, graham cracker streusel and crumbles, vanilla ice cream, and whipped cream. Sounds AMAZING, right?!? Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake Funnel Cake The funnel cake is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with a sweet and delicious batter, as per usual at HBR. Buuut, that’s kind where the dessert stopped making sense for us. While each separate part of the funnel cake tastes great on its own, the combination made the texture super weird. It was creamy, crunchy, sticky, and gooey somehow all at the same time?? Which, I guess, CAN be good with some things. But for us? It just wasn’t. TOO. MANY. INGREDIENTS. It’s basically a sugar overload of different holidays battling for dominance. Even though past funnel cakes (like the Dead-Cadent Funnel Cake) have balanced multiple ingredients, this one’s just kind of a mess tbh. However, it does taste like pumpkin, so die-hard pumpkin spice lovers would maybe like this. Emphasis on the maybe. Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake Funnel Cake But, I know, if you’re like me, you’re totally NOT going to miss out on something called a “Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake Funnel Cake” no matter what any old reviewer tells you (we’re very obstinate that way, you and I), so you can try it for yourself for $8.99. When you’re done, let us know what you thought! And then go out the other holiday treats in Disneyland and Disney California Adventure instead! Check out more Disneyland Food Reviews Here!! We CAN’T WAIT to get some crumbs all over our ugly Christmas sweaters, so let’s get started! How tempting does this Pumpkin Muffin for $3.99 look? The little dollop of cream cheese frosting makes this muffin a little more like a dessert, but we’re not mad about that! Pumpkin Muffin In fact, the middle part of the muffin is slightly hollowed out to make way for even more frosting! If you’re a lover of pumpkin spice and everything nice, this little muffin’s got your name on it! Pumpkin Muffin And no holiday season would be complete without a little taste gingerbread! We’ve got huge heart eyes for this Mickey Gingerbread Man for $4.99. He even comes wrapped like a delicious Christmas present! Mickey Gingerbread Man Of course, we released ours into the wild in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle — luckily he didn’t run away, though! Mickey Gingerbread Man The gingerbread itself is wonderfully soft and delicious! Strangely, there’s frosting on the back of the cookie which makes him a little messy to eat, but all that spicy gingerbread flavor makes up for the somewhat sticky situation! Mickey Gingerbread Man We also spotted the returning Santa Hat Macaron for $5.99 — it’s even lightly dusted with coarse sugar crystals making for one super cute sweet treat! Santa Hat Macaron The Santa Hat Macaron is actually two macarons sandwiched together by a refreshing mint filling kept in place with a wall of rich chocolate ganache! We even spot some crushed up pieces of candy canes inside! Santa Hat Macaron Read our review of the Santa Hat Macaron here! If brownies are more your style, you can nab another returning treat — the Holiday Brownie for $4.99! This Jolly Holiday treat comes impeccably dressed to impress! Holiday Cupcake And look what else has made its way baaack to Jolly Holiday! We’re not sure who’s Christmas wish list the Eggnog Latte Cheesecake for $5.79 will be on because to us, the eggnog and coffee flavors didn’t play well with each other, but try it for yourself and see what you think! Eggnog Latte Cheesecake We did enjoy the white chocolate mousse “foam” and a sprinkling of nutmeg on top! It even looks a lot like a latte! Eggnogg Latte Cheesecake We also spotted this Mini Bundt Cake at Jolly Holiday Bakery today which we thought wasn’t going to be released until December 1st! For now, you can’t purchase it separately, and can only get it included as part of a dining package, so you’ll likely have to wait until December to nab one à la carte! Christmas Bundt Cake Much like our friend the Pumpkin Muffin, the Christmas Bundt Cake comes fully equipped with the perfect hole at its center for a delicious filling! Haul out the holly (and your forks and napkins) ’cause Christmas treats are making their way into Disneyland! Toy Soliders in Disneyland Although we’ve given you a lil sneak peek at all the holiday treats coming to the parks, we’re taking you with us on a sleigh ride over to Main Street, U.S.A. to try the latest festive dessert! The Christmas Cake has its lights strung with care over at the Plaza Inn for the season! Plaza Inn The chocolate sponge cake is layered with red, green, and white swirled chocolate mousse and topped with buttercream, festive sprinkles, and a sugar star (that’s SUPER cute!!). Christmas Cake While we’ve recently seen the Main Street Electrical Parade Cake and the Monster Halloween Cake, the Christmas Cake is taking us back to the basics with its flavors! The chocolate mousse filling has a light cocoa taste that is balanced by the moist chocolate sponge cake. Christmas Cake The buttercream on the rich cake is that good ole’ Disney icing that we know and LOVE! While there isn’t anything too unique about the Christmas Cake, the flavors are great and the design is adorably festive! Christmas Cake You can jingle into the holiday season with the Christmas Cake for $5.99! There are different holiday traditions all around the world, but can you imagine the traditions on another PLANET?! Alien Pizza Planet Yeah, and we’re not talking about Batuu in Disneyland, you guys. We’re talking about a place filled with green aliens, red rocketships… and ALL the pizza!! Christmastime treats have made their way to Alien Pizza Planet, and we are eternally grateful! While we’ve seen SO MANY SNACKS in Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, we are super excited to try some of the cleverly named eats and treats at Alien Pizza Planet for the holiday season! Alien Pizza Planet First on our list was the Bruschetta Poultrium Pizza. Last year, we saw the Space Dip Pizza for Christmas, and it was SO GOOD. We couldn’t help but wonder if this year’s would stand up to the taste test. Holiday Pizza Sign The Bruschetta Poultrium Pizza is made with spiced marinara sauce, assort cheeses, chicken, and house-made bruschetta. And, boy, let us tell you — this gives last year’s slice a run for its money!! Bruschetta Poultrium Pizza Even though it’s not much to look at, it tastes AH-MAZING. While the marinara, cheese, and chicken are great together, they are fairly ordinary ingredients for pizza. However, the addition of the bruschetta on the top makes the slice outstanding! The flavor and the slight fresh crunch of the bruschetta made our tastebuds go wild! The only thing we would change about this year’s pizza would be to make the slices a lil thicker, buuut we would definitely go back to get another slice! (And we probably will ;D) Bruschetta Poultrium Pizza You can try the Bruschetta Poultrium Pizza for $8.99 per slice or $43.99 for the whole pizza before the Annual Passholder discount. Bruschetta Poultrium Pizza Also available for the holidays, the Alpha Broccolius Parfait is almost as green as a Christmas tree! Holiday Parfait Sign The parfait is layered with green cake, mint ganache, white chocolate mousse, cookies and cream streusel, and whipped cream. The top has crispy pearls, cake crumbles, and a white chocolate disc featuring a VERY excited alien (he’s too cute) to tie the treat together. (He has been CHOSEN!) Alpha Broccolius Parfait So, first of all, the parfait itself is so aesthetically pleasing that we almost didn’t want to dig into it… Almost, that is! The cookies and cream streusel is the highlight of the dessert and blends perfectly with each bite. The white chocolate mousse is light and fluffy, which goes well with the whipped cream on top! The only part that threw us off a bit is the mint ganache, as it has more of a “leafy” mint flavor, rather than peppermint. It just tastes slightly off compared to the sweetness of everything else. Alpha Broccolius Parfait But, it is still a pretty tasty and filling treat for $6.99 before the Annual Passholder discount! Plus, it’ll look great on the ‘gram!! Alpha Broccolius Parfait So, we’ve seen the Green Alien Macaron sticking around Alien Pizza Planet since the restaurant opened for Pixar Fest last year. It got a little makeover for the holidays with a Santa hat and a candy cane… 2018 Green Alien Holiday Macaron …which looks pretty similar to this year’s version, minus the adorable candy cane. Although the appearance is switched up for the holidays, the blackberry and lemon curd filling doesn’t change from the regular (thank goodness, because we LOVE the flavor!!). 2019 Green Alien Holiday Macaron You can get this year’s version of the Green Alien Holiday Macaron for $5.99 before the Annual Passholder discount! Check out our review of the last year’s Green Alien Santa Macaron here! 2019 Green Alien Holiday Macaron While the holiday treats at Alien Pizza Planet aren’t super festive, the new items are very tasty and worth trying in the parks. Besides — the names are SO FUN! We love the creativity put into the naming of these goodies. And, after you taste all these treats, you can always hit up Hyperspace Mountain next door! We were in need of a port from the storm of the holiday crowds at Disneyland during the Christmas festivities, so we decided to swing on by Harbour Galley to sample some of their seasonal offerings! Harbour Galley Counter Harbour Galley is located across from the Haunted Mansion in New Orleans Square in case you’ve never sailed your way there! And today we’re tasting the two returning Christmas menu items from last year that have just arrived in port — the Holiday Pozole and Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew! First, we’re getting ready to dive into the Holiday Pozole for $11.49! This vegan stew is made with slow-roasted tomatillos, hominy, and serrano chilies! It’s served with limes, radishes, shreds of cabbage and a side crunchy tortilla chips. Holiday Pozole Our soup was seasoned perfectly and the roasted serrano chilies added just the right amount of heat, without being too spicy. It’s a very light stew, so having tortilla chips on the side helped bulk up the meal a bit, and brought the dish full circle for us. The squeeze of fresh lime over the top provided a nice bit of acid to this soup. Holiday Pozole We also sampled Harbor Galley’s Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew for $5.99. Sad to say this one wasn’t a big hit with us. The “pumpkin spice” flavor was pretty much non-existent and the coffee was strangely bitter. We’re hoping we just caught a bad batch! This sure looked like it would be a smash hit with us. Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew You’ll be much better off going to one of the Disneyland Resort’s Starbucks locations and getting a Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew made with actual pumpkin purée instead — we’re SERIOUSLY addicted to it! Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew So next time you have a little time to kill before a ride on the Haunted Mansion, why not skip over to Harbour Galley and try these seasonal offerings for yourself? And don’t forget to sample the new Nightmare Before Christmas Krispy Treat we spotted lurking at Candy Palace earlier if Haunted Mansion Holiday is more your vibe! We’ve been waiting with bated breath to see what would take the place of the much-beloved old Mickey’s Star Traders sign that disappeared from the Tomorrowland gift shop in the Magic Kingdom a short while ago. Mickey’s Star Traders Sign Removed And now it appears we have our answer — check out the newest Star Traders sign here! While Mickey’s Star Traders has been undergoing a refurb for the last couple of weeks, it’s been open, but greatly reduced in size with large construction walls blocking off most of the back part of the store. Work has also been taking place outside as the exterior received a fresh coat of pink and coral paint to complement the new teal blue and white Star Traders’ sign! New Star Traders Sign Umm…wait, where’s Mickey?! If you recall, this store has always been named MICKEY’S Star Traders, and featured a large smiling Mickey head for its logo. Looking up Mickey’s Star Traders name on the Disney World website directs you to just plain ol’ Star Traders. My Disney Experience shows Star Traders as the name as well. New Star Traders Sign So it would appear one of the big results of Star Trader’s refurb was the loss of its owner and operator on the signage, a certain Mr. M. Mouse we’re rather familiar with ’round these parts! The old sign with steampunked Mickey sure was cool, but as Walt would say “We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things…” so out with the old, and in with the new! Next time you’re in Tomorrowland be sure to swing by Star Traders and check out its newer, sleeker design (and snap a pic in front the sherbet walls outside OBV!). Speaking of new signs, check out the other newest sign that debuted earlier this week at Hollywood Studios here! What do you think? Are you onboard with this more streamlined design? Just in time for the holidays, Disneyland has magically transformed into a Winter Wonderland practically overnight! Christmas Tree at Disneyland Park And, the holiday treats have been appearing along with it! We’ve tried the Peppermint Mickey Shake and the Christmas Cake in the parks already, and now we’re tasting ANOTHER sweet dessert in the parks! The Raspberry Mascarpone Yule Log is swirling up like snow at the Plaza Inn! Plaza Inn The vanilla sponge is wrapped up like a gift with raspberry marmalade and mascarpone filling and topped with buttercream ganache, chocolate curls, and chocolate and fruit drizzles. Raspberry Mascarpone Yule Log The look of this treat reminded us of crackling logs in a fireplace, which we ADORED! Now onto the taste! The layers of the log are wonderfully balanced so there isn’t too much cake or filling. While the filling is creamy, the cake’s texture is light and fluffy to complement it (YUM!!). A Bite of the Christmas Treat! While we love a good raspberry twist, the vanilla mascarpone is the highlight of this treat! It’s smooth, delicious, AND even has little crunches of chocolate curls mixed into the filling! IT’S JUST SO GOOD!! Plus, to give a little extra Christmas magic, there is a hint of mocha in the dessert. We think it would be even better with a cup of coffee (or hot chocolate!). Raspberry Mascarpone Yule Log You can get the Raspberry Mascarpone Yule Log for $5.99 before the Annual Passholder discount. And, trust us, you’re going to want to try one this holiday season! We had A LOT to see and do (and eat!) last night with our live coverage of this year’s first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party along with all the new holiday festivities being offered for the very first time this year at Animal Kingdom! Animal Kingdom this Holiday Season! And one of the best places to soak in all of Disney World’s magical Christmas artistry was at Animal Kingdom, especially thanks to their new holiday mural! The handpainted mural features the Tree of Life at its center, rendered in a diffused palette of blues, greens, reds, browns, and golds. Arctic critters much like the ones being featured as puppets at Animal Kingdom this Christmas season encircle the tree in grand, flowing brushstrokes, almost like the circle of life itself! Mural at Animal Kingdom We think this mural is going to make for one stunning backdrop this year — and we’re expecting to see it featured on lots of the Christmas cards and Insta photos we’ll be getting! Be sure to check out some of the other ways that Animal Kingdom is celebrating the holiday this season in 2019 including decorations in Pandora, DinoLand U.S.A., and a special Tree of Life Awakenings performance! Yesterday we spent some time in Animal Kingdom to check out the November 8th craziness, and we got to see all the brand new merry experiences in the park! Animal Kingdom Lanterns We’ve been on the edge of our seats since we found out that Animal Kingdom would be joining the other three parks with its own BRAND NEW holiday offerings! We spotted the first sign of the celebrations when festive holiday lanterns appeared on Discovery Island a few days ago and now the festivities are finally here! Our fave part you ask? The GORGEOUS life-size puppets! The Animal Kingdom holiday puppets are a part of the celebrations on Discovery Island where the “inhabitants have artisan-crafted life-size puppets.” We got a sneak peek at how these puppets work a few weeks ago and oh by gosh, by golly… they are SO COOL in person! Holiday Puppets There are a ton of different animal designs big and small and the puppeteers interact with one another to create a dazzling experience for onlookers! Their eyes even open and close. Look at the Mama Polar Bear puppet and the Baby Polar Bear puppet! Holiday Puppets The puppets work in different ways, some are controlled by a handle or stick, others by attaching to the cast members own movements. This little penguin family were definitely our fluffy faves!! Holiday Puppets The puppets are accompanied by musicians scattered around Discovery Island so that guests can enjoy the festive and unique holiday tunes while they experience the magic of these beautiful puppets! This fox puppet sure seemed to enjoy the festivities! Fox Puppet If you’re thinking of heading to Animal Kingdom to celebrate the holidays, you don’t want to miss out on seeing these puppets. They’re made beautifully and kiddos absolutely loved seeing all the different arctic animals come to life. Puppeteer These puppets will be wandering the streets of Discovery Island for the whole holiday season, so head towards the Tree of Life and make a new life-size arctic friend! It’s the most wonderful time of the year… for a foodie at Disney California Adventure! California Adventure Christmas Tree We’ve shown you the extravagant Churro shake, but now Schmoozies! is taking a simpler approach to beverages with this new seasonal sip. Lemonade might be a drink reserved for summer, but in Southern California where the temps stay pleasant for most of the year, Disneyland gave a major upgrade to the childhood favorite. With an emphasis on seasonal flavors, the Cranberry-Orange Lemonade is available for $4.49. Cranberry Orange Lemonade This refreshing beverage was definitely on the tart side. We could really taste the cranberry, which was actually a nice change from traditional lemonade. While we didn’t get much of the orange flavor, it’s still very enjoyable on a warm day. This was way more drinkable for us than the Cran-apple flavored Sleigh Ride Slush over at Hollywood Lounge! Cranberry Orange Lemonade Want even more festive foods while at California Adventure?
