Our DFB team loves sharing our best hacks and tips with you to help you become Disney World pros and make your vacations a bit easier. Cinderella’s Castle Our team doesn’t just repeat common advice, but we actually test it. We spend countless days in Magic Kingdom tracking wait time patterns, transportation timing, dining options, and Lightning Lane advice, so you don’t have to learn the hard way. These tips are aimed at saving you time and stress and making your Magic Kingdom day better! 1. Watch the Parade from Frontierland Most guests automatically camp out on Main Street, U.S.A. for parades, and while that location delivers unbeatable vibes and fantastic photos, it also comes with wall-to-wall crowds. Frontierland, on the other hand, is one of the most underrated parade viewing spots in Magic Kingdom. The parade route is less congested, it’s easier to grab a last-minute spot, and once the final float passes, you can immediately jump on nearby attractions like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad or head deeper into the park while everyone else is stuck on Main Street. The trade-off: Main Street does offer that classic Disney atmosphere and castle-framed photos. If photos and ambiance are your priority, Main Street may still be worth it, but if efficiency matters more, Frontierland is the move. Festival of Fantasy 2. Leave the Park for Dinner This tip feels counterintuitive, but trust us, sometimes the best Magic Kingdom dinner is not in Magic Kingdom. Magic Kingdom isn’t known for great dining options (We’re not talking about you, Columbia Harbour House!). Heading to a nearby monorail resort (Disney’s Contemporary, Polynesian, or Grand Floridian) can give you better food, a calmer atmosphere, and a much-needed break from the crowds. You can grab a dining reservation at Steakhouse 71, ‘Ohana, and other table service restaurants, or head to one of the quick service restaurants for a short stop. Resort dining often feels more relaxed, and you’re not competing with thousands of guests for Mobile Order windows. This is a great option if you’re planning a long park day and want to reset before nighttime. Important to know: This strategy does take time and can eat into ride availability, especially if you leave during peak evening hours. But it can also give the crowds time to die down — meaning when you return, the park often feels more manageable. Steakhouse 71 3. Stay After Fireworks When the fireworks end, a huge portion of guests immediately head for the exit, but that’s not necessarily when you should leave. Most of the shops on Main Street, U.S.A. stay open for about an hour after park closing, which means you can browse, shop, and take photos while crowds steadily thin out. This also gives transportation time to die down, making your trip back to the hotel far less stressful. Instead of standing shoulder-to-shoulder waiting for the ferry or monorail, let the rush pass, then leave when it’s calmer. Happily Ever After 4. Cut Through the Stores on Main Street When Main Street is packed, don’t fight the crowd, but go around it. Many of the Main Street shops connect, allowing you to walk from the end of Main Street all the way to the hub while being mostly indoors. This trick can save time, reduce stress, and keep strollers from getting stuck in the trolley tracks. It’s one of those small strategies that doesn’t seem like a big deal, until you use it once in the middle of a parade to avoid the crowds. Crowds at Magic Kingdom 5. The Holidays Start Earlier Than You Think If you’re hoping to catch holiday décor, seasonal treats, or festive overlays, here’s the insider truth: Disney starts early. Halloween decorations often go up in August, and Christmas décor can appear as early as the first week of November. This means you don’t need to travel during peak holiday weeks to experience seasonal Magic Kingdom vibes. Going earlier in the season can save you money, reduce crowds, and still deliver the holiday vibes you’re looking for. Magic Kingdom 6. Grab a Late-Night Snack to Go The Main Street Confectionery is dangerously tempting at night, and we’ve been known to swing by it on our way out of the park. Ordering a snack to go and saving it for later (like back at your hotel before bed) is a small luxury that feels like a treat at the end of a long park day. Many of the hotels’ dining options close earlier than you think, so this guarantees you a snack. Heads-up: The Confectionery line can get long after fireworks, so be sure to grab it before the fireworks or schedule your mobile order to be picked up after. Still, ending your day with a Mickey treat in bed? Worth it. Main Street Confectionery 7. Don’t Be Afraid to Skip Fireworks Fireworks are iconic, but they’re not mandatory for every visit. If you’ve already seen Happily Ever After and your priority is rides, fireworks time can be one of the best windows of the day for attractions. Ride wait times often drop dramatically while guests are camped out for the show. That said, if you’ve never seen the fireworks, we strongly recommend prioritizing it at least once. It’s one of Disney’s best nighttime spectaculars and a core Magic Kingdom experience. Cinderella Castle Crowds before Fireworks 8. Take Time for the Little Things Magic Kingdom isn’t just about rides, and some of its best moments are easy to miss if you’re rushing. Getting pixie-dusted, exploring Center Street, hunting for hidden Pascals in Fantasyland, chatting with Cast Members, or discovering quiet corners of the park can be just as magical as riding the big attractions. We believe that the details are what separate a good trip from a great one, and Magic Kingdom is full of them if you slow down enough to notice. Center Street 9. Stay Close By If Magic Kingdom is your main focus, staying nearby can be a game-changer. Monorail resorts, Disney’s Contemporary, Polynesian, and Grand Floridian, offer unmatched convenience. You can skip the Transportation and Ticket Center entirely, ride the monorail directly, and you can even walk to Magic Kingdom from each of those resorts. Reminder: These are all Deluxe resorts, and they come with deluxe price tags. But for guests who plan to spend a lot of time at Magic Kingdom, the time saved and stress avoided can be worth it. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa 10. Head to the Park Early Magic Kingdom opens before Early Entry officially starts, which means you can enter the park early to shop, take photos, and get positioned for rope drop. However, here’s the key detail many guests miss: you can’t just show up at the TTC at 5 AM and expect to go anywhere. The TTC opens one hour before Early Entry at Magic Kingdom. You want to plan for transportation delays, give yourself buffer time, and aim to arrive early, not absurdly early. Rope drop strategy works best when it’s intentional, not chaotic. Train Station at Sunrise These Magic Kingdom tips are good to keep in mind to make your visit even more magical. We are huge Disney+ fans! Disney+ is Disney’s streaming subscription service, where you can catch tons of Disney films, Marvel movies, and more. ©Disney We have been subscribers since the service launched in 2019, so we know a thing or two about the service and its perks. Now, Disney has quietly updated the service’s subscriber agreement, but how does that impact you? In an email to current subscribers, Disney shared that several changes are coming to the agreement. There are several changes, but three in particular were highlighted. First, they are clarifying details related to billing and payment processes, including the definitions of subscription terms and billing periods. ©Disney Second, they are adding information to clarify how cancellation works and when cancellation is effective. This doesn’t mean your subscription is canceled; it just means it’s clearer how and when you will cancel your subscription. Disney+ on our TV Finally, they are adding information related to gift cards purchased through ESPN. Disney+ gift cards can be a great way to help yourself (or someone else) enjoy classic Disney films and new Marvel movies, Star Wars shows, and more. ©Disney Disney shared that the new terms are in effect now for new subscribers. For prior and existing subscribers, the new terms will start on March 25th, 2026, unless you go to the app and acknowledge these changes earlier. This shouldn’t impact you or your subscription, so no worries there! ©Disney This subscription is one we love, especially because of the perks. If you want to learn more about this service, you can check out the details here. Be sure to keep following DFB for more Disney news, updates, and more. If you’re a TSA PreCheck user, you are welcome in our home. PreCheck gives you the ability to skip those long security lines with less stress! We are huge fans of the service thanks to how easy it has made our travel days. ©AP Now, one popular airport is actually making its TSA PreCheck offering even better, thanks to the addition of Touchless ID. This is going to be a total game-changer! The Miami International Airport is about to upgrade its TSA PreCheck! TSA recently announced that TSA PreCheck Touchless ID will be implemented at the Miami Airport in the North, Central, and South Terminals. This biometric technology will give eligible users a faster identification process. You won’t even need to present a physical boarding pass or ID! PreCheck signage! Touchless ID uses advanced facial comparison technology to verify your identity in seconds. You will look at the camera in the correct, dedicated lane. Your live photo will be matched against the stored passport information, which should make security more efficient and convenient for everyone involved. TSA PreCheck Touchless Identity Solution at La Guardia TSA’s Federal Security Director for MIA Stephen Taber said, “Bringing TSA PreCheck Touchless ID to MIA marks another step forward in modernizing airport security and improving the passenger journey. We are excited to offer this cutting-edge option to our travelers, reducing wait times and leading to a more streamlined security screening process.” It’s important to know that this isn’t available for every airline! MCO TSA Precheck This is available for current TSA PreCheck members flying with the following airlines: North Terminal: American Airlines Central Terminal: American Airlines, Alaska Airlines South Terminal: Delta Air Lines and United Airlines American Airlines To use TSA PreCheck Touchless ID, eligible passengers will need to opt in through their airline’s app or profile if they offer it. Then, they will need to ensure their TSA PreCheck Known Traveler Number and valid passport information are on file. After that, a TSA PreCheck Touchless ID indicator will show up on your mobile boarding pass for flights that qualify. TSA PreCheck Touchless ID While this is a great option for TSA PreCheck users, we would definitely recommend bringing your physical ID with you always. This will ensure there are no problems if the technology has an issue (which can happen even with the best tech), and it’s just good practice to keep it with you. This expansion is also part of TSA’s current efforts to expand the Touchless ID offerings at airport’s nationawide. You can see where Touchless ID is available and where it will be here: ©TSA If you’re flying through Orlando, it’s already available at MCO! We’re eager to see how this impacts travelers in the future. Be sure to keep following DFB for more travel news and updates. Magic Kingdom is chock-full of different rides — and different ride vehicles — however, not all of them are created equal. In fact, there are some really good seats and some that…well…you should probably try to avoid if you can. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad From classic boat rides and iconic coasters to the latest in modern E-Tickets, these are the seats to shoot for to have the best experience on these attractions…and the ones that could ruin your day. Pirates of the Caribbean As far as Disney animatronic-based attractions, there are few as iconic as Pirates of the Caribbean. While the Disney World version doesn’t quite match the Anaheim original, it’s still a must-do for Disney aficionados and casual guests alike. Deeper into the ride The ride is best experienced from a seat in the middle of the boat, where you can take in everything the ride has to offer, as nearly every scene offers a full 360-degree experience, with show elements on every side. Pirates of the Caribbean Boat I Learned a HARD Lesson in Disney World: Pirates of the Caribbean Nearly Cost Me a Virtual Queue Reservation Big Thunder Mountain It can be easy to overlook Big Thunder Mountain Railroad right now since the legendary coaster has been closed for refurbishment since January of 2025. However, given that it’s due to reopen with a new track as well as a Rainbow Caverns scene, it seems like a good time for a refresher. ©Disney So, the best and worst seats on Big Thunder are actually one and the same, and it’s all dependent on your preference. You see, as is natural on many roller coasters, the final car on trains experiences extra whiplash feelings and a sense of speed due to the forces of gravity pulling them through drops and turns. This is especially true on Big Thunder, given the front-heavy nature of the train-themed vehicles. This will likely make them the best seat for those looking to put the “wild” in “Wildest Wild in the Wilderness”, but not so much for those looking for a smoother ride. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Disney Revealed Big Thunder Mountain Will CHANGE with the NEW Cars Land — But How? Jungle Cruise The big reason many love the Jungle Cruise is the hilarious Skippers. The person giving you a tour of the exotic jungle will keep you entertained with punny jokes and passenger interaction. A great Skipper can really elevate the ride experience. The best seat in the house is closer to the front of the boat. This will help you hear the jokes better, and you can interact with your Skipper! If you’re lucky (or unlucky!), they might make you the butt of a few jokes as well! This is especially fun for kids to be close to the Skipper. Since the boats load both sides, you have two shots to get close to your Skipper! Jungle Cruise during its holiday overlay The worst seat? Sitting in the back will make you feel distanced from the Skipper, and you might miss out on some of the interactive moments. However, this might be a better choice if you would rather see the entire view of the cruise! You need the best view of the Eighth Wonder of the World! This is a great spot if you want unobstructed views to snap pictures of the scenery. Every Cast Member at Jungle Cruise is BEGGING You Not to Break This One Rule Next time you find yourself about to board some of the Magic Kingdom’s biggest attractions, keep in mind which seats you should be politely requesting from a Cast Member at boarding. Okay, I’m about to say something that may make many of us feel very old…but Disney and Pixar’s Cars movie was released in 2006, and that means the movie is celebrating its 20th anniversary THIS YEAR. Yep, it’s been 20 years since Cars premiered in theaters. We’ll be over here complaining about the pain in our backs, thank you very much. Hi, Lightning McQueen! Now, Cars is still more popular than ever, and the movie itself has had several sequels. In Disney Parks, Cars Land in Disney California Adventure is still one of Disneyland’s most popular lands, and a new Cars expansion called Piston Peak is being built in Magic Kingdom in Florida. Well, 20 years calls for a big celebration, so we had the opportunity to celebrate in the best way possible…at the Daytona 500! Ka-chow! Yep, the Daytona 500 is celebrating 20 years of Cars. If you get a chance to visit the Daytona 500, you’ll notice that there was a Cars pop-up during the entire race weekend. If you love Cars, you don’t want to miss out. REAL CARS! We also discovered a lot of fun Cars-themed photo ops. That includes a chance to meet and chat with the ICONIC Lightning McQueen. He’s there! We also got a chance to check out some brand-new Cars merchandise. Don’t worry…if you can’t make it to the Daytona 500, you can shop this merchandise at Walmart, too. Look at all the merchandise! We even got to take an EXCLUSIVE tour of a garage at the Daytona 500. Y’all. This is SUPER rare, so we are STOKED. They talked us through tons of new information and secrets that we loved. We were up close and personal! Not only that, but we met some real-life NASCAR drivers. Like WHOA. We had the chance to speak with Daniel Suárez, who drives the No. 7 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for Spire Motorsports. We got to check out so many amazing cars up close! We got to get up close and personal with the cars! Before the race even started, there was quite the entertainment! We got to see the Thunderbirds do a flyover, and Miranda Lambert performed. Plus, Nate Bargatze was the grand marshal, and the one and only Bart Simpson was the honorary starter. The crowds were out and about! We got to be IN the pit lane when the race started, and it was such a surreal experience. We actually got to see a pit stop while standing in the pit lane, how cool?! This is ON the track! Then we got to watch the race from some SWEET seats. What an opportunity this is! We can’t wait to see who wins the Piston Cup… we mean, the Daytona 500. Pit stop! If you’re keeping up with Disney World construction, you might already know that DinoLand is extinct, so Mirabel Madrigal and Indiana Jones can move in. DINOSAUR is gone, y’all Disney has wasted no time in beginning the demolition of DinoLand, and new photos show how quickly the company is moving! If you’re sensative to Disney World construction, now is your time to look away. While it’s true we have shed some tears over the loss of DinoLand U.S.A., we are pretty excited about Pueblo Esperanza! In addition to the Encanto ride and the carousel, this land will also feature a brand-new Indiana Jones attraction with an original storyline, making it different from Disneyland’s version of the ride. The new Tropical Americas land coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom lets guests explore a preserved Maya temple – and the ensuing adventure – alongside Indiana Jones. The land will also be home to a large quick service, one of the biggest in Disney World, as well as new shopping and a play area. We can’t wait to see it all come to life when the land opens some time in 2027. As always, be sure to keep following DisneyFoodBlog for more Disney news, updates, and more. Trading cards are time capsules, and every card is yearning to tell its own story. Whether you started collecting baseball cards of your favorite players as a kid or later became a seasoned expert chasing the latest pulls, so many of us can point to a time when we first started collecting cards, transforming a cherished hobby into a full-blown passion. Disneyland popcorn and a ride on board the world-famous Jungle Cruise are always top of mind for me, so it’s exciting that there are now trading cards to highlight these and other park staples. Why the Red and White Light Bulbs? Trimming the entrance of Refreshment Corner on Main Street, U.S.A., a lineup of red and white light bulbs have been glowing since the early days of Disneyland. On your next trip, between bites of your hot dog, look closely at the top-right corner of the front door to find the ever-so-hidden half red and half white bulb. Happy Haunts Chrome Haunted Mansion has a dedicated Disney fanbase unlike many others across Disney Parks, making this set an instant classic that you’ll be able to take with you to parks… and somewhere far beyond. Only available in boxes at Disneyland Resort and DisneyStore.com, this silly and fun insert is a ghostly gem that showcases beloved characters from Haunted Mansion and delivers bold color and high-impact presentation worthy of the legendary attraction. This is a ghoulish delight for longtime fans of the attraction and for those who love a touch of Disney mischief – here’s to hoping my next pack features plenty of happy haunts ready to materialize! Unsigned On-Site Autographs Find Unsigned On-Site Autographs cards featuring beloved Disneyland characters such as Elsa, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Chip, Dale, Ariel, Stitch, and more with a blank autograph spot on the front side of the card, giving you the chance to create your own personal keepsake at Disneyland. These cards are only available in boxes from Disneyland Resort and online at DisneyStore.com, so have a pen handy once you pull this card and before you meet a new friend across the resort. This is the type of card my younger self would have been eager to bring to the parks when meeting Mickey Mouse, so be on the lookout for some of your favorite pals inside each pack. Disneyland Foil Parallels You also have the chance to pull two different foil parallels of the base set: the Purple Glitter Foil (unnumbered) and the Gold Confetti Foil (numbered to 50). These more-limited cards run parallel to the entire Topps Disneyland base set with a similar look and design but are distinguished by a unique physical quality (in this case, the Purple Glitter and Gold Confetti foils). Where Are the Topps Cards at Disneyland? Whether it’s finding Hidden Mickeys throughout all of Disney World or knowing about secret menu items at some of the resort’s restaurants, there are few things more fun at the Walt Disney than discovering elements of the “Most Magical Place on Earth” you may not be aware of, even at one of the resort’s oldest resorts: The Contemporary! The Monorail INSIDE Contemporary Resort These little things can make your Disney trip special and will be something you talk about well after your trip. That’s why we love sharing these things with you! So today, we’re bringing you a hidden gem hidden in plain sight! Disney’s Contemporary Resort is sandwiched between Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon. It is known for having the monorail running through the hotel, in addition to some of the fan-favorite restaurants like Chef Mickey’s and Steakhouse 71. There are a lot of reasons to visit this resort, but we’re going to give you a new reason to visit at night. Disney’s Contemporary Resort No, we’re not talking about eating at California Grill and watching Happily Ever After, the Magic Kingdom fireworks, from the balcony on the rooftop (although we are big fans of this). Firework view from California Grill Instead, if you are looking to watch the fireworks from somewhere outside the park and don’t want to spend $99 per person for a 3-course dinner, we have just the place for you. On the fourth floor, where Contempo Cafe is located, you’ll walk past the Bay Lake View gift shop and head out of the doors to the outside under the monorail track. Viewing Area Under Monorail Here, you’ll find a balcony and a few seats with a direct view of Magic Kingdom. They even pump in the music for Happily Ever After here, so you’ll be able to enjoy the full show. If you want to take advantage of this view, you’ll want to head out there early because the secret is out, and chances are, you won’t be the only one out there. The View of Magic Kingdom Friendly reminder that you will need to take Disney transportation to the resort if you are not staying at the Contemporary. Security is likely not to allow you to park here without a dining reservation or a resort reservation. Lucky for you, you could take the boat from Magic Kingdom, the monorail from Magic Kingdom, or the Transportation and Ticket Center, hop on a Disney bus, or grab a dining reservation for any of the table service restaurants here. Disney World is changing quite a bit these days! The parks are getting a major overhaul, but the crowds are still coming to the parks even while there’s a symphony of construction underway. Magic Kingdom Crowds How do we know that? Well, Disney’s most expensive skip-the-line service has sold out multiple days in a row! Disney’s Premier Pass Lightning Lane is SOLD OUT! Not only is it sold out, but it’s been sold out for an entire week! This is Disney’s highest tier of its skip-the-line service, and it gives you access to every Lightning Lane in your chosen park without needing to book a time for each ride. ©Disney If you’re thinking, “wait, isn’t that pretty pricey?” Yes, yes, it is. Prices for Premier Pass range per person per day, depending on the time of year and expected crowds. You can see those price ranges here. Magic Kingdom: $329-$449 plus tax Disney’s Animal Kingdom: $129-$199 plus tax EPCOT: $169-$249 plus tax Disney’s Hollywood Studios: $269-$349 plus tax ©Disney This week, Premier Prices ranged between: Magic Kingdom: $419-$449 plus tax Disney’s Animal Kingdom: $139-$199 plus tax EPCOT: $219-$249 plus tax Disney’s Hollywood Studios: $319-$339 plus tax At the time of writing, Premier Pass is sold out until February 20th, 2026. Kilimanjaro Safaris Lightning Lane While we don’t always advocate for the purchase of Premier Pass, we can see how guests would really enjoy the splurge of it. You don’t have to wait in almost any line, there’s no stress over booking, and it can make your day feel luxurious without paying the price for a VIP tour. That being said, those prices are per person, so almost no one would ever say it’s a “deal” during your vacation. Everest Lightning Lane If you want to skip the line without paying those prices, you can still use the Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass. Lightning Lane Multi-Pass gives you access to most of the Lightning Lanes in Disney World that you can book in advance. You’re guaranteed at least 3 lines, but you can book more as you use them throughout the day. Lightning Lane We are big fans of Multi Pass, but this week, so are the crowds! Multi Pass has sold out at multiple parks. On February 16th, 2026, Multi Pass is Magic Kingdom: $42 per person Disney’s Animal Kingdom: Sold Out EPCOT: Sold Out Disney’s Hollywood Studios: $37 per person Cinderella Castle On February 17th, 2026, Multi Pass is: Magic Kingdom: $39 per person Disney’s Animal Kingdom: $22 per person EPCOT: Sold out Disney’s Hollywood Studios: $35 per person February 18th is seeing a change! Magic Kingdom: $35 per person Disney’s Animal Kingdom: $17 per person EPCOT: Sold out Disney’s Hollywood Studios: $35 per person Finally, things are back to normal on February 20th, 2026. Magic Kingdom: $37 per person Disney’s Animal Kingdom: $19 per person EPCOT: $28 per person Disney’s Hollywood Studios: $35 per person Hey, Mickey and Minnie! Disney also offers a Single Pass, which gives you access to the most popular ride in each park. In Magic Kingdom, there are two Single Pass options. These are a one-time fee that lets you skip the ride’s long line just once! These are the most likely to sell out each day! On February 16th, Single passes look like: Seven Dwarfs Mine Train – sold out AVATAR Flight of Passage — sold out Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance – sold out Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind — sold out TRON Lightcycle / Run — sold out WOW! Disney’s Animal Kingdom February 17th is also completely sold out for Single Passes! Seven Dwarfs Mine Train – sold out AVATAR Flight of Passage — sold out Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance – sold out Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind — sold out TRON Lightcycle / Run — sold out TRON Lightcycle / Run On February 18th, don’t plan on buying a Single Pass unless you already have one. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train – sold out AVATAR Flight of Passage — sold out Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance – sold out Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind — sold out TRON Lightcycle / Run — sold out Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Don’t be too surprised! February 19th is ALSO SOLD OUT! Seven Dwarfs Mine Train – sold out AVATAR Flight of Passage — sold out Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance – sold out Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind — sold out TRON Lightcycle / Run — sold out Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Things finally open back up a little bit on February 20th, 2026. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train – $15 per person AVATAR Flight of Passage — $17 per person Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance – sold out Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind — sold out TRON Lightcycle / Run — sold out Flight of Passage These passes can be a great way to save some time in Disney World, but you don’t NEED them to enjoy your park day. Rope dropping is a great way to ride some popular rides without a long wait. You can also stay at the parks and get in line just one minute before the park closes, which is a great way to ride popular rides with lower wait times, or not waste time during your park day. Rope drop crowds! It might be busy, but it’s not impossible to have a great vacation! Be sure to keep following DFB for more tips, tricks, and more for Disney World and beyond. Disney World is packed with so many great restaurants that it can be hard to narrow down which ones are the perfect fit for your trip — that’s where we come in! Our Meal at California Grill Whether you’re planning a romantic date night, a best friends getaway, or simply dining as a party of two, smaller groups come with their own set of priorities. From cozy seating and shareable menus to more intimate atmospheres, not every Disney restaurant is created equally for duos. The right choice can turn a meal into a standout memory, while the wrong one can feel loud or cramped. That’s why we’re highlighting the Disney World meals that truly shine when you’re traveling as a group of two. California Grill California Grill is a standout choice for parties of two, especially if you’re hoping for a memorable, more intimate dining experience. In our experience, many of the two-top tables are positioned along the windows, giving couples a better chance at those iconic Magic Kingdom views (hello, Cinderella Castle!). We love this spot for date nights, celebrations, or anytime you want to slow down and enjoy elevated food with an unbeatable atmosphere. That said, this is definitely a splurge as California Grill is one of Disney World’s pricier dining options, and it is a pre fixe, so it’s best saved for a special occasion or a meal where the experience is just as important as the food. You Can Read Our Latest California Grill Review Here! Happily Ever After from the deck of California Grill Nomad Lounge Nomad Lounge is fantastic for groups of two because the seating layout naturally favors smaller parties. You’ll find far more two-seaters here than large tables, which makes it feel cozy and relaxed rather than crowded. We love Nomad Lounge for its adventurous cocktails, globally inspired small plates, and chill vibe. It’s perfect for sharing a few items without committing to a full sit-down meal at Tiffins, as they share some of the same menu items. One important thing to know is that Nomad Lounge doesn’t take traditional dining reservations. Instead, you’ll need to join the walk-up waitlist through the My Disney Experience app, and waits can vary depending on the time of day. Read Our Latest Nomad Lounge Review Here Nomad Lounge GEO-82 GEO-82 is a great pick for adults looking for a comfortable, upscale place to dine as a duo. The two-person tables here come with plush, comfy seating that makes it easy to linger and enjoy the experience. We love the modern atmosphere and elevated menu, which feels very “future-forward.” Just keep in mind that GEO-82 is adults-only, so this isn’t the spot if you’re traveling with kids, but that’s exactly what makes it so appealing for couples or friends looking for a quieter meal away from the chaos. Read Our Review of GEO-82 Here! GEO-82 Le Cellier Steakhouse Le Cellier works surprisingly well for groups of two because the space doesn’t feel cramped when it’s just a pair. In our experience, dining as a duo here feels more intimate and comfortable compared to larger groups squeezed at tables. We love Le Cellier for its rich, hearty Canadian-inspired dishes, especially the steaks, cheddar cheese soup, and poutine. It’s a popular restaurant, so reservations are highly recommended, but if you snag one, it’s a solid choice for a cozy two-person meal. Here is Our Latest Review of Le Cellier Le Cellier can feel crowded La Hacienda de San Angel La Hacienda de San Angel is an excellent option for two, thanks to its shareable menu. They offer platters designed to serve two people, making it easy to split a variety of flavors without over-ordering. We love the authentic Mexican cuisine here, along with the potential for views of World Showcase Lagoon if you’re seated near the windows. This is a great pick if you want a relaxed meal that feels special but still encourages sharing and conversation. Read Our Latest Review of La Hacienda de San Angel Here! Parrillada La Hacienda — Sirloin, Chicken, Chorizo and Veggies The Polite Pig The Polite Pig is a fantastic, low-pressure choice for pairs, especially if you want great food without a long, formal dining experience. The Butcher’s Block is practically made for groups of 2, as it’s easy to share and offers a little bit of everything. We love this spot for its flavorful barbecue, delicious sides, and the prices. Just know that The Polite Pig is quick service, so you’ll order at the counter and find your own seating, which makes it more casual but also quicker and more flexible. Our Review of Polite Pig Found Here! Butcher Board Flame Tree Barbecue Flame Tree Barbecue is another great pick for groups of two, especially if you’re looking to share a hearty meal. The platters are easy to split and offer generous portions, making it a good value for sharing. We love the laid-back atmosphere and the variety of outdoor seating, which gives couples plenty of quiet corners to enjoy their food. Since this is quick service, it’s perfect for a more relaxed, budget-friendly option that still feels satisfying and filling. Read Our Review of Flame Tree Barbecue Here! If you’re traveling to Disney World, you’re probably making a stop at the Orlando International Airport. This is the airport closest to the theme parks, and we honestly would call it a third home in our lives. (Disney World is our second home). Orlando International Airport If you’re flying to Disney, you’re probably flying through this airport. That’s why it’s important to know what’s going on at the popular travel destination. If you’re flying in this week, you might need to know about some big flight delays at the airport. Orlando’s MCO airport has had a tough morning. On Monday, February 16th, 2026, there have been a total of 163 delays. MCO Airport Security In addition to those delays, there have already been 17 cancellations. These delays aren’t a huge surprise, as the country is experiencing another partial government shutdown. This shutdown is impacting only a few areas of the government, including homeland security, which impacts TSA. During this time, TSA employees will be required to work without pay, which can create potential issues for travelers. MCO TSA Precheck If you’re traveling during this time, there are a few things you can do to help ease any potential stress! Arriving for your flight at least two hours early can help prevent any stress points, thanks to long security lines or crowds navigating the airport. (We recommend this even during normal travel days). MCO Airport If you’re traveling through MCO, you can also check security wait times online ahead of your arrival so you know what to expect. This can be a great way to ease some anxieties before your arrival or help you mentally prepare before hopping in a very long line. ©MCO This is also a great time to be extra careful about packing. TSA has a list of prohibited items when it comes to carry-ons, such as full-sized shampoos, liquids over 3.4 ounces, aerosols, or pocket knives. Triple-checking that you are following all of the rules can help prevent an extra screening step and move you along more quickly through security. You can find the full list of prohibited items here. Carry-On Luggage Creator Connections These are things you should consider even if you’re traveling without issues, but they’re extra important during this time! Presidents’ Day at EPCOT’s American Adventure pavilion is more than a moment of reflection — it’s a celebration of service, storytelling, and the voices that continue to shape America’s story. Visiting the American Adventure pavilion immerses you in experiences that honor our nation’s past, present, and appreciation for those who have served it. Together, these offerings create a meaningful tribute to the American ideals, told through music, art, and personal connection. Honoring America Through Song and Service Since October 1, 1982, the Voices of Liberty have delighted guests as the resident a cappella ensemble of The American Adventure pavilion in World Showcase. Performing in the pavilion’s stately rotunda, this group of storytellers is renowned for their stirring renditions of American folk songs and patriotic anthems, bringing American history and spirit to life and setting the tone for the immersive experience millions of guests have enjoyed since the attraction opened. This Presidents’ Day, visiting guests were treated to a special set of songs (including “Golden Dream” and “This Land is Your Land”) during the Voices of Liberty Echo Sets. Offered on special patriotic occasions, this powerful performance brings two groups of Voices of Liberty performers together for a moving finale, with performers on both floors, sending their voices echoing throughout the pavilion’s decorated, patriotic rotunda. “Joy is at the heart of everything we sing. When someone in the audience truly connects with what we’re sharing, it energizes us. Sometimes we become emotional, but most of all, it inspires us to dive deeper and deliver the message to its fullest potential,” said Voices of Liberty singer, Aaron Stratton. Veteran Cast Members Celebrate America Aaron has been with the Voices of Liberty for more than a decade. Yet his story becomes even more special once we discovered that before becoming a cast member at Walt Disney World, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves. “When I first joined the group in 2013, my older brother was on a tour in Afghanistan. Certain songs would evoke strong emotions for me, reminding me how proud I was of him and of representing the U.S. in this role,” he explained. “I don’t take lightly that we’re considered hosts here at EPCOT. I love meeting people from across the U.S. and around the world. Some guests come from countries where patriotism isn’t widely expressed, yet they enjoy being part of our celebration of American history.” It’s not just the singers who are honoring our country. Behind-the-scenes entertainment technician cast members also play a vital role, lighting the rotunda in red, white, and blue for those special performances that stir feelings of nostalgia, patriotism, and unity. “The Echo Sets are truly special because you have twice the Voices of Liberty — a full cast on the first floor and another on the second. For the big finale, the lights brighten to make the moment feel extra special, and as the singers step forward, the sound fills the rotunda dome. It’s absolutely incredible,” said tech planner, Patrick Lineman. It’s a special feeling for Patrick to continuously be a part of this impressive crew day after day, but his impactful connection to these legendary performances goes even deeper than that. “Being part of the tech team at EPCOT during America’s 250th celebration is incredible on its own, but for me, it goes even deeper. As a veteran, there’s something about it that really touches home — it makes you feel good, makes you feel remembered. And honestly, it’s magical,” said Lineman. Bringing America’s Story to Life Performances like this are part of a bigger moment of remembrance and celebration at EPCOT. The Walt Disney Company recently announced Disney Celebrates America, a company-wide celebration commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States. Through July 4, Disney is featuring special programming, storytelling, and experiences that honor the nation’s remarkable journey, spotlighting the people and places that make this country so unique and inspire patriotism in every generation. Whether it’s a holiday celebration or an unexpected moment of harmony, the American Adventure pavilion continues to remind guests that America’s story is best told through the people who live it. Be sure to stop by and experience these offerings during your next trip to EPCOT and throughout America’s 250th anniversary celebration – for more information on additional America 250 content across Disney Parks, check out our story on the Disney Parks Blog. Disney’s Hollywood Studios is one of the most exciting parks at Disney World, which can also make it one of the more crowded parks. Disney’s Hollywood Studios With headliner attractions like Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, Slinky Dog Dash, and Tower of Terror, this park consistently change have long wait times and crowds year-round. On top of that, Hollywood Studios is in the middle of a major transformation, with construction underway for Monstropolis and Animation Courtyard officially becoming Walt Disney Studios this summer. If you’re hoping for shorter waits and a smoother park day, here are the dates you may want to skip for 2026. March 1st The final operating day of Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith is expected to be a major crowd draw. Fans will want one last ride before the attraction closes, and lines could stretch for hours. This date may also end up being closely tied to the attraction’s reopening in summer 2026 (exact date TBD), which will likely bring another surge of interest to ride the new Muppets-themed version of the rollercoaster. ©Disney May 4th If you’ve ever heard “May the Fourth be with you,” then you already know why this day is huge at Hollywood Studios. As home to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, the park becomes a magnet for Star Wars fans celebrating all things Jedi, Sith, and droids. You can expect packed walkways, potential Lightning Lane sellouts, and some of the longest waits of the year for Rise of the Resistance and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. This is a dream day for superfans, but a nightmare if you’re trying to do Hollywood Studios efficiently. May the Fourth guests dressing up Major Holidays Holiday weeks are some of the busiest times across Disney World, and Hollywood Studios is no exception. Families traveling around school breaks, extended weekends, and holiday celebrations push crowd levels way up. Attractions with already limited capacity, like Slinky Dog Dash, can see triple-digit wait times, and dining reservations disappear quickly. Christmas week, in particular, is consistently one of the busiest stretches of the entire year. If you are traveling during these times to capitalize on time off from work and school, then be prepared for crowds and to wait. Crowds at Hollywood Studios Jollywood Nights Disney’s Jollywood Nights typically run on select evenings during the holiday season, and while they bring festive fun, they also come with early park closures. If your goal is to enjoy Hollywood Studios from rope drop to close, these party days can be frustrating. Regular park ticket holders are forced out earlier than usual, meaning you won’t be able to see Fantasmic! Until Disney releases the official 2026 dates, keep an eye on the calendar if a full park day is important to you. Jollywood Nights New Year’s Eve New Year’s Eve at Hollywood Studios is crowded, but it’s worth noting that while it’s not quite as packed as EPCOT or Magic Kingdom that night, it’s still busy enough to impact wait times and mobility. That said, if you’re set on being inside a Disney park when the clock strikes midnight and want slightly less chaos, Hollywood Studios can be a solid compromise. Just go in knowing crowds will still be heavy. Disney’s Hollywood Studios Avoiding these dates can mean shorter waits, less stress, and a much more enjoyable day. There are so many tasty hidden gems around Disney World, especially at the resorts. If you aren’t dining at the resorts, you’re missing out on so many amazing restaurants and lounges, it’s not even funny! Inside Crew Cup lounge! One of our favorite hidden spots is a dark, casual lounge over at Disney’s Yacht Club. If you’re looking for bites that will make your mouth water, this lounge has been one of our recommended spots for years, and soon, it’s closing for MONTHS! Don’t be caught unprepared; we have all of the information for you right here! The Crew’s Cup Lounge is closing very soon at Disney’s Yacht Club! That’s right, our beloved dark and vibey lounge is closing temporarily, and our beloved prime rib sliders will be a memory. This popular spot will be closing on February 23rd until May 2026 for a big refurbishment! Prime Rib Sliders at Crew’s Cup Lounge While we will truly struggle without these sliders for a few months, we’re just relieved it’s only a temporary closure. Disney has shared that this is part of a refurbishment process at Disney’s Yacht Club through late 2026. As far as the changes to the lounge go, Disney hasn’t shared exactly what’s changing at the Crew’s Cup. Crew’s Cup We’re anticipating some refreshed interior changes, updated finishes, and possibly some menu or layout adjustments. We don’t think our beloved spot is changing too much! Just a few upgrades. Disney did warn that guests staying at the resort might hear construction during the day. Those delicious rolls! Crew’s Cup is one of our favorite ways to unwind after a long park day, so it will be missed over the few months that it’s closed. If you want the same dark atmosphere and an amazing steak and soup, you can go to the lounge’s table service restaurant, Yachtsman Steakhouse. Spread at Yachtsman Steakhouse Yachtsman Steakhouse is one of our favorite restaurants thanks to that delicious sauce flight and delectable side dishes. After Crew’s Cup reopens in May 2026, it will be the Yachtsman’s turn to close. Disney has shared that the table service restaurant will close in May 2026 for a refresh and is expected to reopen by August 2026. Yachtsman Steakhouse If you’re visiting during any of the closures, there are still lots of spots to dine at nearby! Ale & Compass Lounge is also at the Yacht Club, AbracadaBar at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Resort, or the Rose & Crown Pub inside EPCOT are some great spots to grab a drink or bite. Crew’s Cup, we won’t be the same while you’re away! Planning a trip to Disney World can be complicated, and that goes even BEYOND the actual planning of the vacation, figuring out a budget, where to stay, what tickets you need, where you’re eating, and more. Yep, even after you’ve done all that, then you have to start thinking about what to pack and what you’ll need for a day bag because you WILL need a day bag in the parks. ODODOS Daily Sling Bag Well, we’re trying to make the WHOLE Disney World planning process a little easier for you, and if you’re looking for a good park bag, we’ve tried a few, and we’re now going to tell you about one of our favorites. So you can now officially cross the “get park bag” off your planning list. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. Get the ODODOS Daily Sling Bag A must-grab! Yes, we know, Loungeflys are cute to carry around, and a lot of folks love backpacks, but when we switched to this sling bag for our park bag, we were SOLD. This bag might be small, but it’s mighty, and it offers a great deal of organization, which is always important when you need to find things quickly in your bag. Easy to organize! There’s also a handy front pocket and back pocket for storing additional items. Honestly, we were surprised at just how much this bag could hold. Back pocket This bag also has adjustable straps so you can wear it comfortably, and it is a very comfortable bag to wear. But mostly, it was just nice visiting the parks with such a small bag that still could carry all our stuff. We were also impressed with the quality of the bag. It’s really well-made Anyway, we put this bag through its paces, and it passed all our tests. It’s a great option for a park bag. AND it comes in a variety of colors and patterns if you want to get multiple bags to match outfits. We can’t resist a key lime pie treat here at DFB. And we particularly love it when that key lime pie is on a stick. Delicious and easy to take with you wherever you are headed. There is never a bad time to grab a key lime pie treat, so when we were at Disney’s Old Key West Resort recently, we couldn’t help but grab one! Frozen Key Lime Pie You can find the Frozen Key Lime Pie at Good’s Food to Go at Disney’s Old Key West Resort. You can snag it for $9 and enjoy it while overlooking the water! It’s always a good day when you can enjoy a key lime pie on a stick at Disney World. The Frozen Key Lime Pie is coated in a dark chocolate shell, which helps balance the snack’s sweetness. It adds a great crunch, but the treat does fall apart pretty quickly. Frozen Key Lime Pie Inside, there is a pie crust topped with creamy key lime filling. The pie crust had a satisfying bite without being super soggy. The key lime filling had a lovely tartness and was bursting with key lime flavor. Frozen Key Lime Pie This is definitely a solid choice if you are looking for a key lime pie on a stick. It has all the elements you could want, and it tastes delicious! However, if you don’t feel like heading all the way to Old Key West, this isn’t the only place in Disney World where you can find this treat. Frozen Key Lime Pie You can also find a Key Lime Pie Pop over at Flame Tree Barbecue in Disney’s Animal Kingdom if you don’t want to trek all the way over to Disney’s Old Key West Resort. The Key Lime Pie Pop in Animal Kingdom is also delicious and full of key lime tartness. This is one of our favorite treats for good reason! Key Lime Pie Pop Our love for the Key Lime Pie on a Stick all started with the treat when it appeared at the Neighborhood Bakery in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We have seen different versions of the snack pop up from time to time, and we are loving that we can now grab a Key Lime Pie on a stick at two different locations in Disney World! Key Lime Pie on a Stick We are in the Disney parks every single day reviewing Disney food and keeping an eye out for the latest Disney happenings. We are willing to try out just about anything that could potentially help us survive the parks, whether that be things that will keep us comfortable day long, shoes, day bags, water bottles, ponchos, and more. Outdoor Wide Brim Hat Fan However, we recently just tried out something that seemed completely ridiculous at first, but then it turned out to be something we LOVED. Now, how does that happen? Well, keep reading to find out how we fell in love with the Fan Hat. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. Get The AMACOOL 2-in-1 Hands-free Hat Fan Don’t be surprised if you see us wearing this in the parks Yes, we bought a hat that is also a fan…well, it turned out to have multiple fans. It’s a little weird looking, but hear us out because we thought it worked really well in keeping us cool. So here’s the deal. This fan has two fans that you kinda’ just put through some holes in the hat. Those fans can be adjusted to send cool air directly to your face with adjustable controls. There’s also a chin strap to keep the hat and its fans in place while it’s on your head. Chin strap Even better is that the fans are solar powered, but you can also charge them like all your other electronic devices. But you’re probably curious about how it works. Well, we took it to the parks on a hot day, and those fans made all the difference in helping us feel cool. What it looks like inside However, we did have to turn those fans up as high as they would go during some particularly extremely hot days because it just felt like hot air was being blown around, but that pretty much happens with any kind of fan in the Florida heat. Overall, the hat has a wide brim to protect your face from the sun (and provide shade), and it’s a fan. It’s kinda’ brilliant. Who knows? If enough of us wear these, we might start an all-new Disney World fashion trend. If you’re craving Old Hollywood glamour in the middle of a theme park, this is where you’ll find it. Time to eat! The Hollywood Brown Derby at Disney’s Hollywood Studios isn’t just another table-service restaurant — it’s an experience designed to feel worlds away from ride queues and crowds. With its classic atmosphere and iconic menu staples, it’s been a longtime favorite for us (and many of you) looking to elevate your park day. But is it worth carving out the time? Let’s talk about it! Atmosphere Stepping into The Hollywood Brown Derby feels like leaving the bustle of Hollywood Boulevard behind and entering a calmer, more refined corner of the park. The lighting is warm and subdued, the pace noticeably slower, and the overall vibe leans elegant without ever feeling stuffy. It’s the kind of place where conversations naturally quiet down, and you instantly feel encouraged to linger rather than rush through a meal. Inside The Hollywood Brown Derby The interior design is rich with Old Hollywood charm, from dark wood accents and crisp white tablecloths to framed caricatures of classic Hollywood stars lining the walls. These caricatures aren’t just decorative — they add personality and history to the space, giving guests something to explore while waiting for their meal. The dining rooms feel intimate and thoughtfully arranged, offering a welcome sense of privacy compared to many of the more open, high-energy restaurants in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Charicatures One of the most appealing aspects of the Brown Derby is how effortlessly it balances theme with comfort. It doesn’t rely on loud music or over-the-top decor to make an impression. Instead, it creates an atmosphere that feels timeless and grown-up, making it especially popular for date nights, celebrations, or anyone craving a quieter dining experience during a busy park day. It’s a reminder that Disney dining can be immersive in subtle ways, and sometimes, that restraint is exactly what makes a restaurant stand out. Ask a Cast Member to see the signatures on the pages But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?! Menu The menu at The Hollywood Brown Derby strikes a balance between classic American sophistication and playful nods to Hollywood glam, offering dishes that feel elevated without being overly pretentious. It’s the kind of menu that rewards taking your time, reading through each option, and maybe even debating with your tablemates over what sounds the best (yes, even before dessert.) Food menu You’ll find a range of appetizers that set the tone right away — think flavorful bites that are as thoughtful as they are satisfying. Salads and appetizers often lean into fresh ingredients with well-balanced flavors, like a citrusy grapefruit salad with avocado and greens or a beautifully executed crab cake that feels refined but not fussy. Hollywood Brown Derby menu When it comes to entrees, The Brown Derby doesn’t shy away from quality proteins. Steaks and seafood take center stage, often paired with classic accompaniments given a slightly modern twist. A seared filet or a perfectly cooked salmon doesn’t feel out of place here; it feels expected, in the best way. But the menu also offers comfort with a refined palate, like a rich pasta or a hearty poultry dish that pairs beautifully with sides that are thoughtfully seasoned and plated. Drink menu Overall, the menu feels like a destination in itself. Sophisticated enough for a date night or special occasion, but approachable enough to enjoy on a relaxed park day. Portions are generous without being overwhelming, flavors are layered without being confusing, and there’s a clear sense of intention behind each dish. And now, onto the main event — the food! Drinks Editor’s Note: Some of these menu items are currently unavailable. Between our reporter’s review and the writing of this post, Disney changed up the menu. However, we may see these items return in the future, and this gives you a glimpse at the quality this restaurant serves. To drink, we picked up the Margarita Flight for $18.50. This is made of three samplings of margaritas offered in Classic, Blood Orange, and Pomegranate flavors. Considering just one of these full-size would cost you around $20 to order individually, we consider it one of the best deals on the menu at this restaurant. Margarita Flight The Classic Margarita is very lime-forward, and it tastes like the most classic of the three — like something you could whip up in your own kitchen, but this one is very solid. Classic Margarita As for the Pomegranate Margarita, it tastes unmistakably of pomegranate. It’s tangy and fruity, and we loved the sugar rim, because it helped cut through the tang a bit. Pomegranate Margarita Finally, we had the Blood Orange Margarita, which is also very citrusy, but it sits more in the back of your throat. The tang, however, is more on the tip of your tongue. Blood Orange Margarita We think this is, again, a great deal, especially if you’re dining with others and you all want to be able to give them a little try. Eats We started out with the Bread Service, which is complimentary with your meal. The butter itself is unsalted, but it’s got some sea salt flakes on the top to give it a little more flavor. It’s smooth, light, and doesn’t taste artificial, which we appreciate. Bread Service The rolls were better than the last time we had them — these were able to be pulled apart very easily, and were very soft. They’re just your standard bread, no additional seasonings or additions added, but we were happy with it! We loved them! For our appetizer, we started out with the Sake-braised Pork Belly for $18. This is made with Apple-Ginger Purée, Shiitake Mushrooms, Tasso Ham, and Shiso. This one is currently not available. Sake-braised Pork Belly The pork belly was incredibly tender — it was like it melted as soon as you took a bite. The sake braise added this subtle sweetness to the meat with a slight crisp in some places, and the umami paired so well with the apple-ginger puree, which really helped cut through the richness (we actually would have loved some more! We don’t even remember minding the earthiness of the mushrooms because it was mixed with the smoky bits of the tasso ham, and that fresh pop of shiso made those bites feel balanced and an intentional addition to bring it all together. It was delicious! We also grabbed one of the enhancements that was on the menu at the time, though unfortunately, it’s since been removed. These were the Crispy Green Beans for $10. This dish is AJ’s favorite here! Crispy Green Beans These were very aromatic, you can smell the truffle oil and garlic aioli right when it comes to your table. However, the breading on these was fantastic — so perfectly crispy and tasty. The flavors all go so well together and don’t clash in the slightest, which is quite impressive! We hope these will come back to the menu soon, that’s for sure. We need these to come back ASAP! Then we turned our attention to the heart of our visit — the newest items on the menu. First up to try was the Half Roasted Chicken for $41. It’s made with White Bean Purée, Braised Cipollini Onion, Butter-poached Carrot, Roasted Mushroom, and Mustard Sauce. Half Roasted Chicken Not only is the chicken itself beautifully seasoned and cooked, but the other additions on the plate really help elevate the dish as a whole. The white bean puree and mustard sauce is where a lot of the zing came from, and we loved it. At first, we thought there was too much gravy on the plate, but then we realized it was a wonderful way to give some extra flavor to each bite of chicken. It’s inventive, more exciting, and tastier than just your normal chicken, and that’s a win in our book! Another great one! We also grabbed the Vegetable Lentil Pie for $33. It’s made of Merlot-braised Black Lentil, Truffled Mashed Potato, Glazed Root Vegetables, and marked as a plant-based dish. This is also currently unavailable. Vegetable Lentil Pie The truffle mashed potatoes are really the star here. They’ve got a great saltier taste to them, and the truffle aftertaste will leave the best impression on you. The lentils themselves also had a great texture and flavor. The glazed vegetables helped to break through the earthy taste of the majority of the rest of the dish, as they have a natural sweetness to them. We think people who typically have to get plant-based options will really be impressed! The mashed potatoes are incredible! Before throwing in the napkin on dinner, we couldn’t walk away without ordering dessert. So, naturally, we decided on the Decadent Chocolate Cake for $14. It’s made of Towering Chocolate Cake, Dark Chocolate Mousse, and Whipped Ganache. Decadent Chocolate Cake We don’t think we’ve ever tasted richer, decadent, soft cake in our whole lives! We really loved the addition of the raspberry, and if we had a complaint, or more of a request, it would be to have a little more of it throughout the cake. We don’t recommend taking it on by yourself unless you’re REALLY hungry, due to the size, so we would say to share! Nosh or Not This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if… You’re looking for the best quality food (and cocktails) of the park. This is the restaurant to book if you don’t mind splurging a little extra to cater to your upscale palate. Hollywood Brown Derby definitely pays extra careful attention to using finer ingredients and well-curated flavor pairings, making this far from your typical theme park meal. You’re on the hunt for old Hollywood vibes. If you miss the MGM Studios days — where the golden age of Hollywood was more of this park’s central focus — Hollywood Brown Derby will make you feel like you’re walking the red carpet again, thanks to the celebrity caricatures on the walls, brown derby-style light fixtures, and warm-tinted/maroon-and-gold color schemes You love variety. It’s a rarity to see the exact same Hollywood Brown Derby menu twice. While some staples of the restaurant stick around — like the Famous Cobb Salad and Grapefruit Cake — most of the other appetizers, entrees, desserts, and cocktail specials switch out seasonally to keep things fresh and unique. You should skip this Disney World spot if… You’re traveling with kiddos. No Mickey Mouse. No bright-and-bold colorful sets. No car-shaped tables. While kiddos are more than welcome to dine here with their parents and guardians, they might not be too thrilled about the prospect of sitting around a classy restaurant for the next hour as the exciting/ever-immersive Hollywood Studios day passes them by. You miss the chicken tenders (aka, you’re a pickier eater). Hey, picky eaters aren’t just kids, you know. If you’d much rather save your money and stomach space for an affordable basket of chicken tenders instead of paying extra for a meat dish with herbs, dressings, and side options that you don’t think you’ll fancy, you’re better off skipping the dining reservations and sticking with Hollywood Studios’ quick services — like Backlot Express — instead. You’re using the Disney Dining Plan. If you’re using the standard Disney Dining Plan, a meal at Hollywood Brown Derby won’t just cost one table service credit. It’ll cost two. And if you’re not planning on ordering the highest-priced entree — or a nice cocktail to accompany your meal — while you’re here, then spending two table service credits on this place is going to be a whole lot pricier than just paying for it out of pocket. Overall This is a DFB favorite for good reason, and it’s very rare that anything disappoints us when we visit. It’s expensive, sure, so we think it’s a great spot for a special occasion, or a spot you visit if you’ve saved up for it, or are okay with the higher cost. The food is certainly worth it, we feel, but that bill at the end of the meal may catch you off guard if you’re not prepared! The one thing I absolutely love about World Showcase is the ability to visit countries all over the world without ever having to leave EPCOT. And one of my favorite pavilions is the Japan pavilion because I love Japanese culture, anime, and Japanese art. Fan from Japan Pavilion It also doesn’t hurt that the Japan Pavilion has the Mitsukoshi Department Store, which is one of the largest shops in EPCOT, and the only Mitsukoshi in the U.S. I can literally wander around that store for HOURS. You can find so many unique souvenirs here, but there’s one that we just HAD to tell you about because it’s inexpensive, customized, and fun. Now, I was today years old when I found out about this souvenir. If you’ve been inside Mitsukoshi, you’ve probably seen the gorgeous hand fans you can buy there (I have several). However, I did not know that you can get these fans personalized WITH YOUR NAME in Japanese for FREE. One of our reporters recently visited Mitsukoshi to get one of these customized fans. The fan itself costs $16.95, and you can pick from a variety of beautiful designs. The fan Once you’ve paid for your fan, you can have a Cast Member at the store write your name in kanji, the characters used in Japanese writing (and they’re quite beautiful). They write your name on the spine on the side of the fan. Cast Member customizing our fan Then, you have a souvenir that’s uniquely yours for under $20. Now, this isn’t the only customized souvenir you can get in EPCOT, but it is certainly one of the most affordable. Then you can bring your pretty fan home to display on your wall, or in a curio cabinet (that’s where mine are), or even carry it around during the summer to stay cool. Our fan! When Disney releases new merchandise, sometimes it’s a huge hit, and other times, well, we scratch our heads and wonder just how Disney came up with the idea. ©Disney In this case, though, there have been a few recent releases that we’ve expected to sell out in MINUTES just because of how adorable they are. We’ve been surprised, however, because these four items, especially, we really thought they’d be gone by now, and somehow they’re still available.
