The Disney Wonder just made its final departure from New Orleans during her inaugural season sailing out of the Big Easy. While bittersweet to say farewell to our newest homeport for now, we’re thrilled that Disney Cruise Line will return to the Crescent City in 2021! Down in New Orleans, you’ll find magic around every corner, from the French Quarter to the Garden District and bayou. And onboard the Disney Wonder, you’ll experience the same sense of jazz-infused fun and genteel southern charm all year round with special dining and entertainment celebrating Disney’s “The Princess and the Frog.” At Tiana’s Place, our culinary team invites you to enjoy the mouthwatering flavors of Creole and Cajun cuisine with a menu that draws inspiration from the region. While you dine, the characters and stories of the Disney animated feature come to life through rousing storytelling and live jazz entertainment that can only be described as “the bee’s knees!” And in true Disney fashion, you’ll discover magical touches and thoughtfully designed details around every corner of the restaurant. Everything from the water-lily-shaped candleholders to the design of the dinnerware tells the story of Tiana’s journey from waitress to frog princess to proud restaurant owner! Tiana is passionate about her restaurant, so our chefs have cooked up some of her favorite recipes for you to enjoy. Here are some of our top picks: I love a little spice, so my personal favorite entrée at Tiana’s Place is the Cajun Spiced Sea Bass. Served with shrimp jambalaya, crisp fennel salad, and remoulade sauce, this dish always has me digging a little deeper! Charlotte La Bouff’s Bucatini Pasta is another flavorful option. Served with pancetta, oyster mushrooms, eggplant, spinach, peas, basil and Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, it’s another can’t miss! A visit to the Big Easy wouldn’t be complete without a fresh batch of this favorite New Orleans treat! Tiana’s Buttermilk Beignets are the signature dessert for Mardi Gras night in the restaurant. These mouth-watering treats are dusted with powder sugar and served with chocolate espresso dipping sauce that is sure to satisfy any sweet tooth. Can’t wait until the Mardi Gras celebration? You can enjoy this treat throughout the cruise by ordering them at the French Quarter Lounge. If you’re fixin’ for even more sweets, indulge yourself with the Southern Style Pecan Nut Tart that will leave you grinnin’ like a possum ’til the sun comes up! Of course, there’s so much more on the menu. From bold and spicy to flavorful and familiar, there’s nearly something for every patron of Tiana’s famous supper club to enjoy! Guess what? We’ve got more on the other side! Right next to Tiana’s Place is the all-new French Quarter Lounge, where you’re transported deeper into the story. Before or after dinner, you can stroll by this lively locale to enjoy rousing jazz music, dance the night away and sip a New Orleans-themed specialty drink. While this space is inspired by the famed French Quarter, you may also notice the subtle décor themed to the smooth-talking “shadow man,” Dr. Facilier, from “The Princess and the Frog.” The La Bouff Favorite offers a coffee of your choice – may I recommend the Café Au Lait? – served with beignets, a chocolate truffle, macaroon, madeleine, caramel chocolate sauce and Evangeline Praline liquor. In place of the liquor, guests of all ages can enjoy a Dr. Facilier potion! Perfect for bourbon and rum enthusiasts, the Old New Orleans Fashion is a twist on a favorite—an Old Fashion cocktail blended with Bayou XO Rum, adding in some whisky smoked sugar and Angostura bitters. For a sophisticated taste of the Quarter, delight in the Madame Mimosa, which combines French Lillet rose vermouth with California Chandon sparkling wine for an elegant, passionfruit flavor. And don’t miss the Lillet Cocktail. Choose from three small bites to pair with a serving of Lillet Blanc, Lillet Rosé or Lillet Rouge and tonic water. Are ya ready? From the live music to the activities to these specialty treats served at the French Quarter Lounge, we know you’ll be satisfied! Of course, this is just a sampling of what you’ll enjoy when letting the good times roll at Tiana’s Place and the French Quarter Lounge. When sailing aboard the Disney Wonder, you’ll be immersed in the stories of southern charm in locales designed for the entire family. And one thing’s for sure: “We’re gonna take you there!” Want to find out more about our 2021 sailings from New Orleans? I am positively buzzing with excitement for the start of the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival! I love seeing the World Showcase and Future World blanketed in beautiful floral arrangements and posing with “botanical busts” of some of my favorite Disney characters. There’s just something refreshing about a being surrounded by flowers and the irresistible smell of a lush garden, but my favorite part about any festival has to be the special-edition Disney Gift Card – and this year there are three! More designs mean your family members can each choose the card that speaks to them or you can budget separately for sweet treats and savory eats – the possibilities are endless! This year’s collection includes a sunflower, a cosmos, and our favorite honeybee, Spike! Look at these cards in the Florida sunshine and watch the flowers and Spike’s wings sparkle. Doesn’t it just make you happy? Of course, you might be a little more excited about what the Outdoor Kitchens have to offer. Luckily, you can use any of these Disney Gift Cards for practically all things Disney! Yes, that includes your yearly allowance of frushi in addition to practically all things Disney. Load a mini Disney Gift Card with as little as $15 and wear it around your wrist while you explore everything the festival has to offer. Each Flower & Garden Festival-themed gift card has a removeable tag with implanted wildflower seeds. Take the tag home with you, plant it in a pot or your garden, keep it watered well and you can have your own Flower & Garden Festival right at home! Plus, in alignment with Disney’s green initiatives, these special tags are made from 100% recycled paper. A little too far west to join in the floral festivities? Disney California Adventure park is celebrating flavors abound at the Food & Wine Festival and we’ve got a Disney Gift Card for that too! Load up a wristlet with as little as $15 and try some of the best food and wine you’ll ever taste! Disney Gift Cards are reloadable and never expire. Just stop by a merchandise or food and beverage location and ask a cast member for assistance. If you don’t spend it all at the festival, know that these and all other Disney Gift Cards can still be used for practically all things Disney from theme park tickets to Mickey merchandise at Disney Destinations nationwide! If you want to purchase a traditional or digital Disney Gift Card in advance, visit DisneyGiftCard.com. View the full article

Even though Valentine’s Day has come and gone at the Disneyland Resort, we still feel loved that some of the special sweets have stuck around a little longer. Hungry Bear Restaurant We’ve been able to treat ourselves with the Chocolate Strawberry Beignets and Strawberry Julep, but another one of these sweets has been hibernating in Critter Country. You’ll find the Berry Cobbler Funnel Cake at the Hungry Bear Restaurant, which is appropriate because we’re becoming some hungry people just looking at this thing. Berry Cobbler Funnel Cake The funnel cake is piled high with fresh strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries, nuts, and whipped cream. Berry Cobbler Funnel Cake We thought the cobbler was super yummy. The fresh fruit added some sweetness and the funnel cake was crisp and crunchy. Overall, it was cooked very well and we would definitely go for a round two. Berry Cobbler Funnel Cake You can get this heaping helping of fried and fruity goodness at the Hungry Bear Restaurant for $8.99 plus tax, but we’re not sure how much longer it’s going to stick around. You should try it before it goes off to join the other Valentine’s Day treats. Check out all the new stuff happening at the Disneyland Resort here! I speak from experience when I say there’s no better way to celebrate graduation than by visiting Walt Disney World Resort. I’ve taken many vacations here, and my graduation trip still remains one of my favorites. After years of hard work and perseverance, a trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth is the perfect way to celebrate such an exciting accomplishment! If you or your family are currently planning a Walt Disney World Resort graduation celebration trip, consider booking a Capture Your Moment session so your grad can snap photos that document this achievement with an added dose of Disney magic! Capture Your Moment is a new offering that lets you book time with a Disney PhotoPass photographer for a personalized photo session during regular park hours at Magic Kingdom Park on Main Street, U.S.A. or around Cinderella Castle. At the start of your session, your photographer will discuss the available photo shoot locations. Once you arrive at your selected location, you’ll have the opportunity to capture photos there with your photographer for up to 20 minutes. You’ll also have access to special props created just for these sessions that you can personalize and incorporate into your photo shoot! Each Capture Your Moment session is $50. If you want more time to capture photos, you can book two Capture Your Moment sessions back-to-back for $100 and spend up to 40 minutes with your photographer capturing photos. During your 40 minutes, you’ll have the option to visit multiple photo locations – and have plenty of time to switch between your graduation cap and a favorite pair of Mickey ears! To book a Capture Your Moment session, call 407-939-7758. I strongly encourage you to make reservations in advance, as sessions fill quickly and same-day availability is often either unavailable or very limited. Prints and digital downloads are not included with the price of a Capture Your Moment session. However, those with a Disney PhotoPass entitlement like Memory Maker or Memory Maker One Day, as well as qualifying Annual Passholders with a Disney PhotoPass download benefit, can download the photos taken during Capture Your Moment from their Disney accounts at no extra cost. Grab your cap and book a Capture Your Moment session to commence your graduation celebration! No refund will apply for no-shows or cancellations made less than 24 hours before the session start time. Gratuity is not necessary. Prices and services offered are subject to change. Full payment is due at time of booking. Those who wish to capture photos with a photographer for longer than 20 minutes can book additional 20-minute sessions, with each session priced at $50. Additional time must be booked in advance. Capture Your Moment is only available during regular park hours. Available session locations will be provided by your photographer at the start of your session and are subject to change based on inclement weather and park operations. Because of other Guest appointments, Guests arriving late to their session cannot have their session extended beyond the stated end time. Guests under 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult (18 or older). Maximum party size is 8 per session. No wedding attire is permitted. Any Guest-supplied props need to abide by the Park Policies found here. Valid Theme Park admission required and not included in the session price. Photos are not included with the price of session.
