It’s pretty much impossible for us to pick our favorite theme park. Disneyland Park Even though Disney World has reopened, our hearts yearn to walk through the gates of Disneyland once more! If you’re a fan of each and every U.S. Disney park and don’t want to pick a side, we found a new tumbler that might interest you! The design features icons of various attractions from both coasts including Disney World and Disneyland side-by-side! Disney Parks Tumbler Disney parks items usually pertain to a specific theme park, but not this one! We love how this tumbler celebrates our love Disneyland and Disney World all jumbled together! Who could ask for anything more? Disney Parks Tumbler All we need now is some coffee to fill ‘er up and we’ll be ready to hit the road! We think Joy would approve of this fashion choice! Joy Strikes a Pose! We’ve been on cuteness overload in the parks today! We spotted an ADORABLE vintage Minnie Plush in Magic Kingdom, a colorful Rainbow Mickey MagicBand in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and we still have more to share! A few weeks ago, we saw a super-fun Inside Out Dress appear online. We’ve seen other gorgeous dresses pop up inside the parks (like this Jungle Cruise one!) so we wondered if the Inside Out design would also make its way to Disney World. And today, we spotted the Inside Out Dress at Disney’s Hollywood Studios for the first time! The skirt is lined with memory orbs, and there are embroidered details on the bodice. Inside Out Dress Each of the designs on the bodice represents one of the characters — check out that piece of broccoli in the design for Disgust! Here are the Details on the Bodice! The Disneyland Hotel Before the Closures Although The Disneyland Hotel is still closed, we spotted a brand new collection of rather vintage-looking merchandise at World of Disney today! While the theme parks and hotels are still closed, we waltzed by the entrance to Disneyland Park on our way to Downtown Disney today! Disneyland Park For all intents and purposes, everything looked pretty normal from the outside, but as we passed by we noticed a bit of construction was taking place at The Emporium. From outside of the gates, we could see a bunch of scaffolding and workers surrounding The Emporium! Disneyland Construction While we can’t see much, it’s exciting to know that progress is still taking place at Disneyland. Disneyland Construction There’s been no news about Disneyland’s reopening, but we can’t wait to see what is happening at The Emporium when the parks reopen. Tom Hanks has been a part of many Disney projects over the years. His filmography has included such iconic Disney roles as the voice of Sheriff Woody in all four of the Toy Story movies, as well as portraying Walt Disney himself in Saving Mr. Banks! ©Disney/Pixar And now, it appears Hanks could be potentially taking on another beloved Disney role! The Oscar-winning actor is in early talks with the new director of Disney’s live-action remake of Pinocchio, and they’re discussing a MAJOR role! According to Deadline, Hanks has expressed interest to Robert Zemeckis in playing the role of the lonely woodcarver Geppetto in Zemeckis’ Pinocchio remake. Zemeckis took over the project after the previous director, Paul King, stepped away. Back in 2018, Hanks was being eyed for the role when the project was still being helmed by Paul King. They’ve worked on numerous projects together including Forrest Gump, Cast Away, and the beloved Christmas movie, The Polar Express. As Walt Disney World has gradually reopened, so have some of the restaurants in the parks and resorts! Mickey Plates Although there have been some adjustments to ensure social distancing and other safety measures are carried out, spots like California Grill and Biergarten Restaurant have reopened with some delicious items for guests to enjoy. Now, we’ve gotten word that a LOUNGE at one of the Disney resorts may be reopening soon and we’re incredibly excited! There are lots of fantastic spots to eat at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort! While some spots like ‘Ohana remain closed at the moment, you can still get your Tonga Toast fix at Captain Cook’s or Kona Cafe! You can even still get yourself a delicious Dole Whip at Pineapple Lanai! Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort One spot that remains closed at the Polynesian is Tambu Lounge, which is located in the waiting area for ‘Ohana. This is a great spot for delicious drinks and even some incredible snacks like the ‘Ohana bread pudding! ‘Ohana Bread Pudding at Tambu Lounge We recently stopped by the Polynesian and according to the Cast Members we spoke to, Tambu Lounge is expected to REOPEN NEXT WEEK! One Cast Member specified that the lounge plans to reopen on August 16th! And the Tiki gods rejoice!!!!! Tambu Lounge We don’t know what items will be on the menu when it reopens, but we’ll definitely keep you posted as soon as we learn more information! And if the date shifts or changes (which is possible), we will be sure to let you guys know. Once Disney shares more information regarding the reopening date, you know we will give you guys all the details! Have you ever dined at The Diamond Horseshoe in Magic Kingdom? This restaurant has offered a few different dining styles over the years to guests in the park. The Diamond Horseshoe For instance, it was once a seasonal Counter Service option open only during the park’s busiest times. More recently, though, the spot has provided a Table Service option featuring both an all-you-care-to-enjoy Saloon Feast as well as sandwiches and platters served a la carte. In any case, The Diamond Horseshoe has not been available in this initial reopening phase of the park… which is why we were surprised to see guests dining in there today. With thanks to a helpful cast member, we found out the scoop! The Diamond Horseshoe Though The Diamond Horseshoe is, indeed, temporarily unavailable, guests can enjoy a Table Service meal in Liberty Square at the Liberty Tree Tavern. The Diamond Horseshoe We found out that The Diamond Horseshoe is providing extra seating for Liberty Tree Tavern guests as restaurants around Disney World are currently operating with limited seating capacity. The guests we saw were actually enjoying food from the Tavern’s menu! The Diamond Horseshoe So, just know that if you have plans to dine at Liberty Tree Tavern, you may be partaking of your meal in the beautiful Old West music hall that is The Diamond Horseshoe! Not too long ago, we found out that Splash Mountain is set to be re-themed to a new Princess and the Frog attraction! ©Disney Ever since that announcement, we’ve seen Splash Mountain merchandise become incredibly more popular! But one Splash Mountain-related area in Magic Kingdom has been rather quietly closed, and now it looks like that closure may continue for at least a little while longer. Briar Patch is a gift shop located near the entrance to Splash Mountain! This is the spot we used to visit for fun Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad souvenirs. Briar Patch This spot has not been open since Magic Kingdom reopened. If you look on the Walt Disney World website, you see that Briar Patch appears as temporarily unavailable. Screenshot from the Walt Disney World Website Instead, guests have been doing all their Splash Mountain shopping at Splashdown Photos — the smaller gift shop you pass as you exit the Splash Mountain attraction. Splash Mountain It seems Splashdown Photos may continue to serve as the home for all Splash Mountain merchandise for a while longer! We recently walked past Briar Patch and saw that its windows were covered up with what looked like some kind of black plastic material! Briar Patch Windows Covered We’re unsure what this means for the future of Briar Patch, but it certainly looks like we won’t be doing any shopping at that location for now! We may not be able to attend Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party this year, but does that mean we won’t get any Halloween decorations in the parks at all? Halloween at Magic Kingdom We love seeing all of those fall-colored flags and adorable pumpkin wreaths as we walk down Main Street, U.S.A. with a fall-flavored Starbucks coffee in hand! Well, we spoke to some Cast Members today in Magic Kingdom and we’ve got an update! At the moment, Disney has not shared any official information as to whether the parks will be decorated for Halloween. Magic Kingdom Halloween Decor We spoke to a few Cast Members today in Magic Kingdom, however, and it looks like the cast members have been told that Disney will be decorating for Halloween this year! Hooray!!! Halloween Decorations in Magic Kingdom The Cast Members we spoke with said no official date has been announced to them in terms of when the Halloween decorations will begin to appear. Their guess, however, was that decorations will be put up little by little, over several days, similar to how it has been done the last few years. Halloween decorations Things are constantly changing at the Disney Parks, so all of this may change in the future, but for now, we’re excited at the possibility of seeing Magic Kingdom decked out for Halloween! We’ve been exploring Magic Kingdom at Disney World today! Marshmallow Wand We’ve checked in on TRON Lightcycle Run’s construction, confirmed Raspberry Dole Whip is back on the menu at Aloha Isle, and even discovered some brand new Together Again face masks! Yup! We’ve been hoofing it all over Magic Kingdom today and were starting to really feel that Florida HEAT! Then, all of a sudden, we feared we might be losing our grip on reality when we spotted THIS graphic tee at Star Traders…IN DISNEY WORLD! For a second we had to remind ourselves WHICH Disney park we were standing in! Disneyland Shirt This Disneyland shirt somehow ended up a VERY long way from home! We’re not really sure how it got here since Disneyland merch is usually exclusively sold at Disneyland and Disney World-specific stuff is usually only found at Disney World! But who knows, maybe we will see more Disneyland merch since the Disneyland parks remain closed. Disneyland Shirt Anywho, someone can snag this sweet Disneyland shirt at Star Traders for $29.99 and save themselves a trip to the West Coast! Oh man, LOOK at that bakery case. Main Street Confectionery Case We’re big fans of checking out the bakery cases around Disney World — especially the ones at Main Street Confectionery in Magic Kingdom! Today, we were perusing the good when we spotted a surprising new treat. Is that a plain ol’ Mickey Rice Krispie? NO! It’s a Mickey Marshmallow Wand! At first glance, this treat definitely looks like a classic Mickey Rice Krispie, but it’s actually VERY different. You’re looking at a Mickey-shaped Marshmallow on a stick covered in chocolate and sprinkles. Okay, okay, you’ve got our attention! Marshmallow Wand Just looking at this, this guy looks like a LOT of marshmallow, so if you’re a fan this just might be the snack for you! Marshmallow Wand And much like standard marshmallow wands, it WAS a lot of marshmallow. So, if you’re not a HUGE fan of marshmallow it may be a little overwhelming. The new Jungle Cruise Wishables collection was released online today! ©Disney Now we’re on a mission to see which Wishables we can spot in the wild! A few Wishables, some of which we had only seen online up to this point, were available at The Emporium today. Let’s take a look!! Toy Story Wishables have been selling out like crazy lately! We’ve seen them appear briefly at EPCOT, but they literally flew off the shelves! Woody Wishables were hanging around at Magic Kingdom today, but the rest of his roundup gang was M.I.A.! We did find a bunch of other Wishables to choose from, though including plenty of Snack Wishables and Hitchhiking Ghost Wishables though! Wishables at The Emporium We spotted the Monsters, Inc. Wishables for the first time in the parks today! Mike, Roz, Boo, and Monstropolis Transit Authority Taxi Wishables come in blind bags. Sulley was also available and he’s sold individually! Monsters. Inc. Wishables A Cast Member told us the Monsters. Inc Wishables have been SUPER popular and they’ve been having a hard time keeping the display full! Luckily they had just restocked them when we happened by! Monsters Inc. Wishables We also spotted TONS of the Disney Park Wishables featuring Mickey and his crew! Mickey and Friends Wishables Donald Wishables gave us the stink eye! He looks so cute when he’s angry and we dare you not to smile when you see this little guy! We’re swinging by Aloha Isle in Magic Kingdom for a pretty exciting menu update. Aloha Isle You might remember that we spotted the potential return of Raspberry Dole Whip on Mobile Order yesterday. Of course, today we made a beeline for Adventureland to see for ourselves and sure enough, this tasty pineapple alternative is BACK! When we walked up, we noticed that the menu boards still DON’T have raspberry listed as an option. We’ll admit, we got worried. That is until we saw the Raspberry and Pineapple Swirl Float advertised on the counter. That’s right, you can snag this combo of Raspberry Dole Whip, Pineapple Dole Whip, and Pineapple Juice again for $5.99. Due to the current global situation, guests have not been able to board the Disney Cruise Line for their sailings as previously scheduled. ©Disney While Fall 2021 sail dates have been released, Disney Cruise Line has repeatedly had to suspend departure dates for 2020. Now, it looks like Disney Cruise Line will be pushing back its departure dates for 2020 once again! Previously, Disney Cruise Line extended the suspension of its departures for the Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, and Disney Wonder through September 30, 2020, and through October 2, 2020 for the Disney Magic. Disney Cruise Line According to the Orlando Sentinel, Disney Cruise Line, as well as other cruise line members of the Cruise Lines International Association will be delaying departure dates until at least October 31. This will apply to other cruise lines as well including Royal Caribbean, Princess, Carnival Cruise Line, and Norwegian Cruise Line.
