Disney World just dropped a hotel deal that sounds fake in the way all suspiciously good Disney deals sound fake: $99 per night at a Disney World hotel. Standard Room Yes, really. Not $99 for a commemorative popcorn bucket. Not $99 for half a lounge chair near a Value Resort pool. A full-on Disney World hotel room. But there is a catch, because of course there is. This is Disney World. The fine print doesn’t whisper, it tap dances in a blazer. Disney+ Perks members can currently book select Walt Disney World hotel rooms for summer 2026, with the lowest advertised rate starting at $99 per night, plus tax, for Standard Rooms at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort. The offer is valid most nights from June 21st through August 15th, 2026, and requires a 2-night minimum stay. And that brings us to the real question: should you actually stay at All-Star Sports? Disney’s All Star Sports Resort Because All-Star Sports is one of those Disney hotels people either defend like it personally raised them or roast with the fury of a guest who waited 38 minutes for a bus while holding a melting Mickey bar. It’s loud. It’s basic. It’s sports-themed with the subtlety of a foam finger to the face. But for $99 a night? Suddenly, those giant baseball bats start looking a little more charming. The $99 Deal, Minus the Confetti Cannon Here’s what Disney+ subscribers need to know. The lowest rate applies to Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort Standard Rooms on select dates within the larger summer promo window. For stays most nights from June 21st to July 1st, July 5th to July 8th, and July 12th to August 5th, 2026, Standard Rooms at All-Star Sports start at $99 per night, plus tax. But not all nights in the promo period are $99 nights, because the spreadsheet goblin demands tribute. You can combine it with other deals, including hotel discounts For stays most nights from July 2nd to July 4th, July 9th to July 11th, and August 6th to August 15th, 2026, All-Star Sports Standard Rooms start at $109 per night, plus tax. Still cheap, but slightly less “screaming into the group chat” cheap. The offer is available to Disney+ subscribers enrolled in Disney+ Perks, and proof of a Disney+ subscription is required. The Disney+ subscriber must stay in the room; advance reservations are required, and consecutive-night stays have a 2-night minimum and 14-night maximum. The deal also cannot be combined with other discounts or promotions, with the exception of the 2026 Kids Dining Plan Offer. Murphy Bed Translation: this is a real deal, but it is not a magical coupon you can fling at any reservation and expect Cinderella’s mice to apply it retroactively. FULL TOUR: Two Hotels in One ON Disney World Property? Yes, Please! First, Let’s Address the “Most Hated” Part Is All-Star Sports actually Disney World’s most hated hotel? That depends on which corner of the internet you wandered into and whether someone recently lost a bus argument. All-Star Sports has a reputation. It is the most aggressively Value Resort of the Value Resorts. It has giant sports icons, motel-style outdoor corridors, lots of families, lots of groups, and the general energy of a middle school field trip that found Pixie Dust and caffeine. Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort It is not elegant. It is not restful in the “quiet lobby with a signature candle and a pianist” way. It is not where you go if your dream vacation includes sipping wine on a balcony while gazing wistfully at Seven Seas Lagoon. Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort It is where you go when you want a bed, a shower, Disney transportation, Early Theme Park Entry, and enough leftover money to buy snacks with the recklessness of a raccoon in a churro cart. And honestly? That has value. What You Actually Get at All-Star Sports All-Star Sports is a Disney Value Resort located in the Animal Kingdom Resort Area. It is themed around baseball, basketball, football, surfing, and tennis, with oversized icons and Disney characters worked into the sports décor. Standard Rooms sleep up to four adults and one child under age 3 in a crib, with one queen bed and one queen-size table bed. Rooms include basics like a beverage cooler, Wi-Fi, hairdryer, in-room safe, iron, and ironing board. Queen bed That table bed setup is actually one of the biggest practical upgrades at the All-Stars. During the day, you can fold it up and use the table. At night, it becomes a second bed. Is it luxury? No. Is it more functional than two beds consuming the entire room like upholstered sea monsters? Absolutely. You also get access to Disney transportation, though at All-Star Sports, that means buses. No Skyliner. No monorail. No boat. Just bus life, baby. Hope you packed patience and deodorant. All-Star Sports has two pools, Surfboard Bay Pool and Grand Slam Pool, plus a children’s water play area, arcade, playground, Movies Under the Stars, jogging trail, and quick-service dining. Grand Slam Pool The main dining option is End Zone Food Court, which serves quick-service staples like burgers, pizza, pasta, Mickey waffles, desserts, and other family-friendly options. It is a Mobile Order-friendly quick-service food court with meals generally in the $14.99-and-under range for adults. End Zone Food Court So no, you are not getting California Grill. You are getting “I need breakfast before EPCOT, and nobody talk to me until I’ve had caffeine.” And sometimes that is the correct restaurant category. The Pros: Why This Deal Might Be a Steal The biggest pro is obvious: price. A Disney World hotel room under $100 per night is increasingly rare, and this deal puts you on Disney property for less than many off-site hotels, especially once you consider resort fees and parking charges that can sneak up on you elsewhere like budget vampires in khakis. All-Star Sports Lobby At All-Star Sports, you get the core Disney Resort benefits. That includes Early Theme Park Entry, so you can get into the parks 30 minutes early each day of your stay, subject to capacity. For 2026 arrivals from May 26th through September 8th, Disney Resort hotel guests also get water park admission on check-in day, included with their stay. Early Entry That water park perk matters. If you can arrive early enough, drop your bags, and head to Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach, you can turn your travel day into something more than “we ate airport pretzels and yelled at the GPS.” Happy Landings Another big pro: All-Star Sports is a sleep-and-shower hotel. That sounds like an insult, but it is not. Some Disney trips are not resort trips. Some Disney trips are “rope drop, snack, Lightning Lane, snack, collapse, repeat.” If you plan to spend most of your time in the parks, paying Deluxe prices for a room you only visit while unconscious may be financially bonkers. All-Star Sports is also great for families who want Disney theming without paying for the fancier resort experience. Kids often love the giant icons, the pools, the food court, and the very unsubtle “YOU ARE AT DISNEY” energy. And let’s not pretend adults are above this. We’ve seen grown people lose composure over a themed trash can. The Cons: Why You Might Regret It Now for the part where we ruin the fairy tale with practical shoes. All-Star Sports can be loud. It is popular with families, and sometimes sports groups, and All-Star Resorts can host larger sports groups, especially All-Star Sports, which can make the resort noisier. If you are a light sleeper, noise-sensitive, or someone who becomes spiritually unwell when teenagers run past your door at midnight, this may not be your kingdom. The rooms are also small compared with higher-tier Disney resorts. They are functional, renovated, and clean, but they are not spacious. Four adults in one room can work, but you will all become intimately familiar with each other’s packing habits. Someone’s suitcase will live under the sink area. Someone will overpack. Someone will say, “Where are my socks?” six times. This is the natural order. Washroom Transportation is another big consideration. All-Star Sports relies on bus transportation, and during off-peak times, buses may be shared with the other All-Star Resorts, which can add to travel times, although All-Star Sports is typically the first pickup. Bus stop at All-Star Movies There is also no table-service restaurant, no fancy lounge, no pool slide, no hot tub, and no romantic resort ambiance unless your love language is “giant football helmet.” And that is fine, if you know what you are booking. The danger is booking All-Star Sports because it is cheap, then expecting Wilderness Lodge. That way lies disappointment, resentment, and dramatic muttering at the bus stop. Are the Dates Actually Good? This deal falls during summer, which is a tricky little creature. The good news? Summer 2026 has some tempting reasons to visit. Disney is pushing summer offers. Cool KIDS’ SUMMER runs from May 26th through September 8th, and families traveling during this period can potentially pair their resort stay with the check-in day water park perk. ©Disney The less charming news? It is summer in Florida. We are talking heat, humidity, afternoon storms, and the kind of weather that makes your hair enter its villain era by 10:13 AM. If you are booking late June, July, or early August, you need to be realistic. This is not a “leisurely stroll around World Showcase in a linen shirt” climate. This is “hydration strategy, portable fan, midday break, and backup socks” territory. Tree of Life That said, the All-Star Sports price can actually help you build a smarter summer trip. If you are paying $99 a night, you may feel less guilty about leaving the parks midday for a nap, swim, or cold shower. You are not trying to “maximize” a $700-per-night room. You are using the hotel as a budget-friendly recharge station with Mickey-adjacent energy. The best $99 dates are also not over the Fourth of July holiday itself. The $99 tier skips July 2nd through July 4th, when the All-Star Sports rate rises to $109 per night. If you can travel after the holiday window, you may be able to grab the better rate and avoid some of the holiday chaos. Who Should Book This Immediately? This deal makes the most sense for travelers who want to stay on Disney property for the lowest possible price and do not need resort luxury. Book it if you are a parks-first traveler. Book it if your hotel priorities are clean room, working AC, Disney transportation, and a place to crash after 27,000 steps. Book it if your kids will love the big, colorful theming, and you will love not needing to sell a kidney to stay onsite. All Star Sports It is also a strong option for budget-conscious families, quick weekend trips, solo travelers, friend groups, and anyone who wants to spend more of the trip budget on food, tickets, Lightning Lane, souvenirs, or “emergency” EPCOT festival snacks. You may also want to consider it if you were already planning a Disney+ subscription or already have one. The barrier to entry is low compared with Annual Passholder or Florida resident discounts, though you still need to enroll in Disney+ Perks and make sure the subscription requirement is handled correctly. Who Should Skip It? Skip All-Star Sports if you need quiet. Skip it if you want a resort that feels like a vacation destination all on its own. Skip it if you want multiple transportation options, a table-service restaurant, a lounge, a pool slide, or a lobby that whispers, “You are sophisticated now.” Football is about the get a lot more Disney-fied! Also, skip it if you have a family that needs more space. A Standard Room can sleep four adults, but “can” and “should” are not always the same enchanted word. If you have older kids, multiple adults, or anyone with strong opinions about bathroom counter space, you may want to price out a family suite at Art of Animation or another resort. And if the dates do not work for you, do not force it. A cheap hotel rate is only a good deal if it fits your actual trip. If you have to rearrange flights, miss work, travel during unbearable heat, or choose dates that make your family crankier than a denied boarding group, that $99 rate starts looking less magical. So, Is All-Star Sports Worth $99 a Night? Yes, with a giant neon asterisk. At $99 per night, All-Star Sports is absolutely worth considering. It gives you a Disney Resort hotel room, onsite perks, transportation, Early Theme Park Entry, access to the check-in day water park perk during the summer 2026 window, and a price that is honestly pretty shocking for Disney World in the year of our lord, premium popcorn buckets. Goofy at All-Star Sports But it is only worth it if you understand what All-Star Sports is. It is not a hidden Deluxe Resort. It is not secretly the Polynesian wearing a baseball cap. It is a Value Resort with loud theming, bus transportation, compact rooms, quick-service dining, and the occasional chaos aura of a traveling sports tournament. For some guests, that is a nightmare in cleats. For others, it is the cheapest ticket to staying inside the Disney bubble. And for $99 a night? We are willing to forgive a lot. Not everything. We are not saints. But a lot. Disney World dining planning is not for the faint of heart. One minute you’re casually looking up dinner options, and the next you’ve got 47 browser tabs open, a half-finished spreadsheet, and strong feelings about bread service. If you want help cutting through the chaos, the DFB Guide to Walt Disney World Dining is designed to make your life easier with practical tips, restaurant reviews, snack advice, and planning shortcuts from people who spend way too much time thinking about Disney food. Is there anything sweeter than having an iced cold coffee in Disney World? There are a few simplicities in life that bring us quite as much joy as an ice latte in the theme parks. The NEW Disney Starbucks Tumbler It’s true that you can’t spend every day in the parks (for most people), so we like to search for little ways to bring those happy moments home to us. That’s where these NEW Disney x Starbucks accessories come in. During one of our latest stops in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we couldn’t help but notice two NEW Starbucks items that we can’t stop thinking about! The first is something we already know will become a park bag staple for us. It’s the Fabric Cup Sleeve. The cup sleeve This little sleeve is $16, and it’s designed to hold your iced Starbucks beverages. This is one of those little luxuries that we can’t get over. It helps keep your hands from getting too cold, and it keeps any condensation from the cup off your things. The back On one side, you can see the Starbucks logo, and on the other is a gorgeous green castle, Minnie ears, balloons, and more. These sleeves are designed for 16-ounce cold cups. We have wanted these for YEARS, so this is a dream come true. We need one ASAP The other thing we are obsessed with is from the same collection, and it’s a new Starbucks Tumbler! The new cup! This cup is $34.99 and features the same design as the cup sleeve. The color scheme is green, pastel purple, and a super light green background. The green castle takes center stage and is surrounded by sparkles and theme park iconography. The back! On the back, you can see “The Starbucks Coffee Company” written along the back, which we really love. There are also several coffee cups above the small Starbucks logo at the bottom. The lid! The top has a flip lid for you to sip your water, coffee, or preferred beverage from. We found these items in Celebrity 5 & 10 on Hollywood Boulevard in the theme park. We’ve also spotted them in EPCOT, so keep your eyes peeled in the theme parks. At the time of writing, these items aren’t available online, but we expect to see them there soon. As always, be sure to keep following DisneyFoodBlog for more Disney news and finds. 6 NEW Disney Starbucks Tumblers Now Online Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! Disney World has been a sea of construction over the last year, and there really is no end in sight. There are tons of projects in development, like Villains Land, Piston Peak, Pueblo Esperanza, and more. While some have said that 2026 is the year to skip the parks, Disney is sharing that they’re just as busy as ever. Cinderella Castle Disney CFO Hugh Johnston recently appeared at the 2026 MoffettNathanson Media, Internet & Communications Conference, where he discussed the future of Disney, expansions, and the theme parks’ capacity. Spoiler alert: the guests are still filling the parks and prices aren’t dropping any time soon. According to CFO Hugh Johnston, the Disney theme parks are packed these days. During the conference, Johnston touched on a multitude of topics, including Disney’s long-term growth and its commitment to consistent performance. During the panel, a question was asked about the balance between attendance growth and capacity of the parks, specifically Disneyland and Disney World. They also touched on the balance between attendance growth and pricing in the future. ©Disney Johnston started by sharing that it won’t be one or the other over the next several years, but they’re going to be focusing on growing both attendance and pricing. He said, “Necessarily, it needs to be both.” He continued to touch on the reality of having “a big fixed asset” by saying they use “promotional activities to make sure we’re filling the parks every day.” EPCOT Crowds in May 2026 He also shared that the “capacity utilization on these parks is really, really high, almost all the time.” He attributed the high capacity to the different discounts and promotions they use throughout the year. Johnston continued to share, “Without expansion, we don’t necessarily have the ability to grow attendance massively because it’s already filled up.” Rope Drop Crowds So what does that mean for us on our vacations? The crowds aren’t dying down any time soon. He did say that they could “jam more people into the parks,” but that choice would lead to guest dissatisfaction, which would then be bad for the brand. He shared that adding capacity to the parks, it creates more opportunities. Magic Kingdom lines in April 2026 He made sure to confirm that it doesn’t mean production is slowing down. He did say that when they put in a new attraction, they see a clear surge in demand for it, and that leads to filling up ride capacity and then the theme parks “really, really quickly without having to discount.” Crowds for the reopening of Big Thunder Mountain Sadly for us, he also confirmed that opportunities like new ride openings “actually offers some ability to charge more because essentially, you’re offering something new that wasn’t there before.” So no, prices won’t be going down any time soon. Not that this is a huge shock or anything, especially with all of the new attractions and lands they are currently developing. Wait times for Big Thunder Mountain Johnston continued to share that they have the ability to grow attendance as they expand capacity. He said, “I would expect to see both pricing and attendance growth over any 3- or 4-year time frame.” While these comments might be newer, the sentiment isn’t. Disney has been open about a drop in attendance, but a growth in guest spending more than in the past. In 2022, they even confirmed guests were spending 40% more than they were in 2019. Disneyland Crowds Despite the high capacity, Disney recently reported a 1% drop in attendance numbers during the second quarter of 2026. They also confirmed that spending per capita was up 5%. That means there are technically fewer guests, but they’re all paying more. Morning crowds at EPCOT Disney has continued to justify price increases thanks to all of their new additions to the parks, which are part of a previously announced $60 billion expansion. At Disney World alone, they’re working on a Villains land in Magic Kingdom, a Cars-themed space in Magic Kingdom, a Monsters, Inc. space in Hollywood Studios, Pueblo Esperanza in Animal Kingdom, a brand-new hotel, and much more. Piston Peak Construction These new attractions, rides, and more don’t necessarily mean that Disney is going to start “jamming” more people into the parks in the immediate future. What we can anticipate is higher prices for the same number of people. As previously stated, Johnston confirmed they will be focusing on both attendance and pricing over the next few years, so don’t hold your breath for price drops and empty theme parks any time soon. Construction Walls in Hollywood Studios We’re eager to see exactly how these huge expansions to the parks will impact crowds, pricing, satisfaction, and more. Animal Kingdom is in an interesting state right now. Thanks to the construction of the upcoming Tropical Americas land, the park ride count has been temporarily cut, and wait times for its most popular rides have gone up. ©Disney However, there’s a way to ensure a perfect ride day at Disney World’s most recently opened theme park in under five minutes, long before stepping through the entrance gates. The key to ensuring a perfect ride at Animal Kingdom right now begins with Lightning Lane Selections for both Multi Pass and Single Pass, so let’s quickly run down how those systems work: Lightning Lane Multi Pass allows guests to plan ahead of their visit and choose up to 3 Multi Pass experiences and arrival windows in a theme park each day (7 days in advance of their stay for Disney hotel guests and 3 days in advance for non-hotel guests). Lightning Lane Single Pass allows guests to “Save time in line with a Lightning Lane Single Pass for one of our most in-demand attractions—those not available with Lightning Lane Multi Pass.” Single Passes are eligible to be purchased at the same time as their Multi Pass equivalents. Kilimanjaro Safaris Lightning Lane So, when you’re choosing your Animal Kingdom Lightning Lanes, you should log on to Disney’s website or the MyDisney App and ensure everything is set up with your account about 5-10 minutes before your window officially opens. Once it does, your first move should be securing a Lightning Lane Single Pass for Flight of Passage, the park’s busiest ride and its only Single Pass offering. Line for Flight of Passage in Pandora Next, purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass and shoot for the park’s three other currently operating premier attractions: N’aVi River Journey, Expedition Everest, and Kilimanjaro Safaris. During this construction period, Animal Kingdom has no Multi Pass Tier system, so you can use all three passes on these three attractions. Expedition Everest This will lock in all four of Animal Kingdom’s major attractions for your visit. Plus, if you plan on park hopping to another park once your time at Animal Kingdom is complete, you can start booking Lightning Lane Multi Passes for your park of choice as you use your Animal Kingdom ones. Slinky Dog Dash Lightning Lane If you’re making your way to Animal Kingdom while Tropical Americas is under construction, spending a few moments selecting Lightning Lanes days earlier could be your key to the perfect day at the park. Disney’s Hollywood Studios is VERY busy right now, and we’re not talking about crowds. There are a TON of construction projects happening in the park, including the building of a new Monsters, Inc. land, a reimagining of Animation Courtyard into The Walt Disney Studios, and a big ride change coming to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run Speaking of which, that big ride change is happening SOON, and you’ll want to be aware of it for several reasons: it’s going to bring a lot of Star Wars fans to the park, and it’s going to feel like a completely different ride. Yes, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run is changing next week! On May 22nd, Millennium Falcon Smugglers Run will have a brand new mission that features the Mandalorian and Grogu, in honor of the release of The Mandalorian and Grogu movie. The story still starts with Hondo Ohnaka, but the new story will have him telling you about a new bounty he wants you to collect by “borrowing” the Millennium Falcon and going on a mission with Din Djarin and Grogu. Hondo animatronic This new mission will take you to some brand new locations, including Bespin’s Cloud City, Tatooine, Beggar’s Canyon, the remains of a Krayt Dragon, and what’s left of the Death Star. Each mission will feature its own location, and that will be chosen by the engineer position on the ride, who will also be communicating with Grogu while in flight. COOL. Death Star ruins on the new version of Smuggler’s Run ©Disney What’s even cooler about this ride change is that the ride will not be closing in order to add these changes. Disney is updating the ride by staggering the changes so they’re ready by May 22nd. If you’ve been on Millennium Falcon Smuggler’s Run recently, you might have already started noticing some changes, including in the pre-show. ©Disney We’ll be in Hollywood Studios on May 22nd to get you ALL the details about the Millennium Falcon Smuggler’s Run changes, so stay tuned to DFB for more. Let’s take a look at the Disney World hotel rooms that might not deliver what you’re expecting for the price tag! Disney’s Riviera Resort With more than 25 official Disney World hotels to choose from, it can be overwhelming trying to decide which one is right for you! There are tons of factors to consider, from location to amenities to cost. And, for many people, cost is a HUGE piece of the puzzle when deciding on a hotel within their vacation budget. So, which Disney World hotels don’t necessarily live up to their price tags? Here are three Disney World hotels that might not be worth what you’re paying! Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is a Victorian-style hotel inspired by the late-1800s’ New York retreat famous for its spas and horse racing. Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort It’s a peaceful resort surrounded by golf course greens and Lake Buena Vista, and it offers boat transportation directly to Disney Springs. With that in mind, this Saratoga Springs might be a tempting choice for guests who prefer a quiet, more upscale vibe and people who plan to spend lots of time at Disney Springs during their trip. Water Taxi to Saratoga Springs But, before you start budgeting for your Saratoga Springs stay, heads up — Saratoga Springs is a Disney Vacation Club Resort. And, while non-Disney Vacation Club members can still book a stay here, the prices for DVC Resorts tend to be super pricey for guests paying out of pocket, rather than booking with DVC points. Saratoga Springs On top of the high price tag, Saratoga Springs is SUPER spread out, so depending on where your room is, it might be a loooong walk to the lobby, pool, or restaurants. Speaking of long trips, the resort also has an internal bus loop with multiple stops when taking guests to and from the parks, so plan for some extra transportation time as well! Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort Again, if you’re all about the upscale equestrian theme, easy access to Disney Springs, and a chill, quiet atmosphere, Saratoga Springs still might be your resort of choice, even if you’re paying the high price to book without DVC points! But if those aren’t selling points for you in themselves, you’ll probably get more bang for your buck at another hotel! Disney’s Old Key West Resort Disney’s Old Key West Resort is ALL about the Florida vibes! Think: beaches, spacious golf courses, and those frozen concoctions worthy of a Jimmy Buffett song. Old Key West Old Key West is fairly close to Saratoga Springs, so the location offers similar benefits of boat transportation to Disney Springs and easy access to golf courses. Plus, it’s got several hidden gem restaurants and bars, like Olivia’s Cafe and Gurgling Suitcase, and fun outdoor activities like tennis courts, pickleball courts, shuffleboard, and bike rentals! Olivia’s Cafe Brunch Spread But, also like Saratoga Springs, Old Key West is a Disney Vacation Club Resort, so expect some expensive room rates if you aren’t booking with DVC points. On the plus side, the rooms here are HUGE, so if you’ve got a big group, the extra cost might be well worth it for the additional space! Old Key West Resort | Deluxe Studio Room The theme here isn’t the most exciting, since it’s a Florida-themed hotel that’s in…Florida. It’s also pretty spread out and has an internal bus loop, so getting around the resort and to and from the parks takes some extra time. If you plan to spend a lot of time in the parks and you’re going to be shelling out for a Deluxe hotel anyway, your money might be better spent on a hotel with easier access to the parks, like one on the Monorail or Skyliner route! Old Key West The extra space of the rooms in Old Key West alone might be a big enough perk for you to pick this hotel, not to mention the outdoor activities and boat transportation to Disney Springs. But if you’re all about getting to the parks FAST and want to be right in the middle of the action, we’d suggest spending your hotel budget elsewhere! Riviera Resort Speaking of a resort with quick access to the parks, Disney’s Riviera Resort is an upscale hotel that opened in 2019 and is home to a Disney Skyliner station — the gondola that connects four hotels (including Riviera) with EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Skyliner at Disney’s Riviera Resort Riviera Resort is inspired by the artistic elegance of 20th-century Europe. It features deluxe amenities and excellent dining options, including Topolino’s Terrace — a popular character dining breakfast by day, and a signature Italian restaurant by night. Branzino at Topolino’s It’s also the most expensive hotel on the Skyliner route, and it’s a Disney Vacation Club Resort (are you sensing a pattern here?)! The hotel is seriously gorgeous, and we recommend stopping by to dine at one of the restaurants or just soak in the elegant atmosphere. But, even as pretty as it is, it’s hard to justify the cost if you aren’t booking with Disney Vacation Club points! Orange Éclair at the Riviera If you aren’t a Disney Vacation Club Member and still have dreams of staying at Riviera Resort (we don’t blame you!), or any of the DVC Resorts for that matter, it may be worth reaching out to a DVC rental service that allows you to rent points from a current Member for a single stay. Renting points for your trip could help you get a better rate than booking the room out-of-pocket. These hotels all have plenty of positives, and they might even end up being your dream resort…but don’t just assume that a higher price tag=better across the board! Be sure to weigh the benefits against the other hotel options around Disney World to decide where you’ll get the most for your budget! “Photography turns exploration into curiosity, and curiosity allows for a deeper connection with a place or experience.” – Max Lowe That philosophy is at the heart of what it means to travel with an Expedition Expert on a National Geographic Expeditions trip. It’s about slowing down, looking closer, and experiencing a destination through the lens of someone who understands not just where you are, but why it matters. With National Geographic Expeditions, curious travelers are invited to explore the world alongside National Geographic Expedition Experts, which may include National Geographic Photographers and Explorers, who bring deeper context, storytelling, and insight to every journey. Their expertise helps turn landscapes into living classrooms and lasting connections. Guests on the National Geographic Expeditions Winter Wildlife Yellowstone trip recently experienced this approach firsthand while traveling with National Geographic Photographer Max Lowe. From snow-covered trails to quiet wildlife encounters, Max shared the moments and perspective that show how patience, access to expertise, and a little curiosity can create a more meaningful connection with the world around us. Max Lowe: A Life Shaped by Wild Places Max’s story began in the neighboring Grand Teton National Park and mountain town of Bozeman, Montana, where he spent much of his childhood immersed in nature. Max even describes the greater Yellowstone ecosystem as “an extension of our backyard.” Stepson of famous alpinist Conrad Anker, and son of artist and writer Jennifer Lowe, Max grew up in a family rooted in exploration and creativity. That upbringing shaped the way he approaches both travel and photography today. In 2012, Max received a National Geographic Young Explorers grant, which helped him launch a career that would take him around the world documenting wild landscapes and human stories. His work has since appeared across the National Geographic portfolio, including projects connected to the IMAX film National Parks Adventure. After years of travel and photographing the world, Yellowstone remains the location he values most – a landscape that continues to inspire his work and his connection to nature. Learning & Insight: Yellowstone Through an Expert Lens Traveling with a National Geographic Expedition Expert transforms Yellowstone’s winter beauty into a deeper experience of discovery. As the National Geographic Photographer and Expedition Expert on arecent Winter Wildlife Yellowstone trip, Max offered guests a seasoned perspective shaped by his years of knowledge and experience in the park. “Traveling through Yellowstone in winter is already a rare experience. Under cover of snow the park becomes quieter, more elemental and almost prehistoric,” he said. “But exploring it in a small group alongside a National Geographic Expedition Expert fundamentally changes how deep that experience can become.” With Max walking alongside them, guests moved beyond observation, gaining a deeper understanding of animal behavior, geological processes, and the subtle connections that shape Yellowstone’s landscape. “What guests gain first is access through understanding,” Max shared. “On your own, you might witness wolves moving across the Lamar Valley or steam rising from a thermal basin at sunrise and recognize that it’s beautiful. With an Expedition Expert beside you, a photographer, naturalist, or scientist who has spent years in the ecosystem, those moments carry context.” Pace, Presence & Process: Moving Through the Landscape Together That deeper understanding unfolds when travelers slow their pace and move through the landscape with intention. For Max, photography is a way to help guests engage more fully with Yellowstone, where every ridgeline, bison crossing, and billowing cloud of steam carries a story. “When people arrive in a place like Yellowstone without a camera, it’s easy to move quickly, stopping at viewpoints, taking in the spectacle, and continuing on,” he said. “But when you engage with the world around you with a camera, even just a phone, your pace naturally slows.” Rather than lecturing from the front, Max prefers to walk alongside travelers, pointing out subtle shifts in light and movement, and encouraging them to notice details they might otherwise miss. “I think of these trips as shared explorations rather than guided tours,” he explains. “My goal isn’t to stand in front of a group and lecture, it’s to move through the landscape together, slowing down enough that people begin to notice things for themselves.” Trip Photography: Capturing Connection, Not Perfection Guests traveling with National Geographic Expeditions who are interested in capturing photos arrive with a wide range of photography experience, ranging from seasoned photographers to those exploring the craft more intentionally for the first time. What unites them, however, is curiosity and a desire to learn from a professional in the field. “With National Geographic Expeditions, guests benefit from real-time mentorship that goes far beyond camera settings,” Max said. “A National Geographic Photographer like myself helps people learn how to anticipate light, compose within a chaotic natural environment or tell a story through images rather than simply collecting snapshots.” One of his first steps is to remove the pressure of chasing the so-called “perfect” image. Instead, Max encourages everyone to focus on a few powerful fundamentals – adjusting for light, stabilizing a camera in the weather conditions, and composing scenes that feel balanced and thoughtful. In this process, photography becomes less about gear and more about engagement. “Photography naturally becomes a tool for connection on these trips,” he explains. “Whether someone is carrying a professional camera or a phone, I try to help guests feel more confident in how they see and understand light, how to anticipate moments worth capturing and to tell stories through those images.” A Hidden Gem: Early Mornings in Yellowstone Max often says some of the most unforgettable moments in Yellowstone unfold when most of the world is still asleep. In the quiet moments before dawn or long after sunset, travelers witness the landscape transform in ways that are breathtaking. “The early mornings and late nights in Yellowstone reveal a version of the park that feels almost secret,” Max said. Standing together in the cold darkness, waiting for the first light of day, guests aren’t just observing the landscape, they’re fully present within it. “There’s a heightened awareness that comes from standing quietly in the dark, waiting for light,” he explains. “Photography becomes less about capturing spectacle and more about witnessing transition.” This intentional pacing mixed with thoughtful access and insight are hallmarks of National Geographic Expeditions and allow travelers to form lasting connections rooted in exploration, learning, and discovery. Moments That Stay with You: The Story Behind the Photo That sense of stillness and anticipation is most perfectly demonstrated in this photograph from Max’s most recent expedition. After spending the night near Old Faithful, and undeterred by the cold, guests layered up and joined Max for a 4 a.m. walk towards the geyser basin, arriving just before sunrise. Standing on the bridge over the Firehole River below Castle Geyser, the first light of day quietly crept across the landscape. “Suddenly, the entire basin came alive,” Max recalls. “Soft dawn colors filtered through the rising steam as countless thermal vents released plumes into the frigid air.” The resulting image represents more than just a striking scene. “The photograph I captured in that moment felt less like documenting a place and more like an ode to the experience itself – the cold, the quiet, the shared commitment of getting up early,” he explains. “And the fleeting beauty that reveals itself to those willing to meet the landscape on its terms.” Expert Travel Tips: Getting Ready for a National Geographic Expeditions Trip Ready to explore with National Geographic Expedition Experts like Max? Preparation ensures travelers are ready to fully embrace the adventure. The Best $12 Disney Souvenir On Amazon Right Now
Disney4me posted a topic in Disney Food/Restaurants
Summertime is approaching fast, and that means we’re all going to be guzzling down water and electrolytes like our lives depend on it soon because…well, they kinda do, ESPECIALLY in Disney World. Cooling Towels are a MUST HAVE in Disney World You’re there to have a great vacation, and that’s certainly hard to do if you’re completely miserable in the heat, are dehydrated, and don’t have a way to cool yourself down. That’s why having cooling tools before you head into the parks are a necessity, because that Orlando sun will get to you way faster than you realize, especially the longer you’re on vacation. What’s the best one out there, you ask? Well, we’ve got a few favorites, but this $12? Yeah, it saves us every time. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. Four Cooling Towels For The Price of One! Sukeen Cooling Towels If there’s one thing that’s better than getting a great deal on one product, it’s getting a great deal on FOUR, especially if you’re heading to Disney World as a family or large group. These Sukeen Cooling Towels come in a four-pack for just $12, and that’s a steal on its own, but you won’t have to worry about not getting your use out of these in the parks. Four for the price of one! These each come with its own bag, making them easy to carry around the parks when you’re not using them. You don’t even have to worry about them getting anything else in your bag wet if they’re not completely dry yet! With them all being different colors too, it’ll be easy to remember who has which one, in case your group is opposed to sharing (which we get — your sweat will indeed be all over these things). They’ll keep you cool for a long time The best part is that if your cooling towel starts to run dry, or a little too warm, find any sink in the parks, run it under the water quick, and you’re good as new. Fortunately, there’s no shortage of bathrooms in any of the Disney World parks, so at any given time, you’re usually less than a five-minute walk away from any sink. Cooling Towel We use them in the parks ourselves all the time, and can’t recommend them enough. We suggest grabbing them BEFORE your trip begins, rather than wishing you had them while you’re on it and trying to get them delivered to your hotel lobby (or having to buy overpriced ones in the Disney gift shops). Grab it on Amazon! Want to see more of our favorite items we take on every trip with us? Check out our full storefront below! Check Out All Our Disney Essentials! We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all the latest must-haves for your Disney vacation, so stay tuned to DFB! View the full article -

Some Disney World packing lists are built for Instagram. Ours are built for heat, dead phones, surprise rain, and the kind of hotel room outlet situation that tests families. Disney World essentials The real ones are built by people who have been personally victimized by Florida humidity, a dead phone at 3PM, a hotel room with one available outlet, and a surprise monsoon that appeared out of nowhere like it was auditioning for a dramatic EPCOT fountain show. And since we spend a frankly alarming amount of time in Disney World, we’ve learned exactly which travel essentials are worth the suitcase space. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. These are not glamorous. They will not make your Instagram carousel sparkle. But they will save your day, your phone battery, your shoes, your sanity, and possibly your entire family dynamic. So yes, we are once again telling you to add these to your Amazon cart. We are not subtle. We have never claimed to be. Flat Plug Power Strip with a 6-foot Ultra Flat Extension Cord First up: a Flat Plug Power Strip with a 6-foot Ultra Flat Extension Cord. Listen. Disney World hotel rooms are magical, but sometimes the outlet situation feels like it was designed by someone who assumed guests travel with one flip phone and a dream. Flat Plug Power Strip Now let’s be realistic. You probably have multiple phones, a smartwatch, a MagicBand+, portable chargers, a sound machine, a tablet, maybe a camera, and at least one person in the room who says, “Can I just borrow your charger?” approximately 900 times. That’s where this power strip comes in. The flat plug is the star here because it can tuck behind furniture without doing that weird, bulky-plug gymnastics routine. The 6-foot cord also gives you more flexibility, which matters when the only outlet is in a deeply inconvenient location behind a nightstand that appears to have been bolted down by Imagineers with trust issues. ©Amazon It is not exciting. It is not cute. But neither is crawling around a hotel floor at midnight looking for somewhere to charge your phone before Early Entry. Pack the power strip. Future You will send Present You a thank-you note written in fully charged battery percentages. view ON AMAZON FuelRod USB-C Portable Charger Kit, Pack of 2 Next, we have the FuelRod USB-C Portable Charger Kit, Pack of 2. We have been yelling about portable chargers for years, and we will continue yelling until every Disney World guest understands that your phone is not just your phone anymore. ©Amazon It is your park ticket. Your Lightning Lane access. Your dining reservations. Your room key. Your mobile order device. Your camera. Your map. Your toddler distraction system. Your “where did Dad wander off to now?” tracking device. In other words, when your phone dies in Disney World, you are not simply inconvenienced. You are spiritually unplugged from the vacation grid. FuelRods are especially handy because you can use them on the go and swap them at FuelRod kiosks around Disney World when they run out of juice. Having a two-pack is even better because one can be charging while the other is doing the Lord’s work in your park bag. Fuel Rod Kit Also, USB-C compatibility matters because technology has collectively decided to keep changing ports just to humble us. If you are heading to Disney World without a portable charger, please understand that we are clutching our Mickey-shaped snacks in concern. view ON AMAZON MultiCharger for MagicBand+, MagicBand+ & Magic Band Compatible with FuelRod and Other External Battery Now let’s talk about the MultiCharger for MagicBand+, MagicBand+ & Magic Band Compatible with FuelRod and Other External Battery. MagicBand+ is fun. It lights up. It interacts with nighttime shows. It lets you tap into the parks and unlock your hotel room and generally feel like you are living in a very colorful sci-fi vacation bracelet situation. ©Amazon But MagicBand+ also needs to be charged. And if you forget that little detail, suddenly your magical wrist accessory becomes a very fancy bracelet with trust issues. This charger is one of those tiny items that makes a surprising difference, especially if you are using MagicBand+ throughout your trip. It is compatible with external batteries like FuelRods, so you do not have to be tethered to a wall outlet like some sort of modern vacation goblin. MultiCharger for all your other devices too! We love this because it is small, useful, and easy to toss into your park bag or toiletry pouch. It also helps prevent the deeply annoying realization that your band is dead right when you’re trying to enjoy one of the features that makes MagicBand+ fun in the first place. Basically, if you bought the MagicBand+, buy the charger. Do not make the bracelet do all that emotional labor alone. view ON AMAZON JISULIFE 3-in-1 Handheld Mini Fan The JISULIFE 3-in-1 Handheld Mini Fan is another one of those items that makes us say, respectfully, what do you mean you do not already own this? This thing is a portable fan, power bank, and flashlight in one. That is not a travel accessory. That is a tiny survival sidekick with a breeze setting. JISULIFE 3 IN 1 Handheld Mini Fan And yes, you need a fan in Disney World. Florida heat does not simply arrive. It moves in, unpacks, opens a business, and starts charging rent. Even if you visit during a “cooler” season, the combination of sun, crowds, pavement, and walking approximately the distance from Orlando to the moon can sneak up on you. A handheld fan can make a long outdoor queue more tolerable, help cool down kids before the meltdown train leaves the station, and give you a tiny pocket of relief when the air feels like soup wearing sunglasses. The built-in power bank is a nice bonus, though we would still bring a dedicated charger for serious phone usage. The flashlight can also come in handy when you are digging through your park bag in the dark, trying to find lip balm, a snack, or the last shred of your patience after fireworks crowds. JISULIFE Handheld Mini Fan Is it dramatic to say this mini fan can save your day? Maybe. But have you ever stood in a 95-degree outdoor queue with no breeze? We rest our sweaty case. view ON AMAZON BAGSMART Wet Dry Bags 5 Pack Let us introduce you to one of the least glamorous but most useful travel items on this list: the BAGSMART Wet Dry Bags 5 Pack. These are reusable travel bags for wet swimsuits, damp clothes, toiletries, shoes, or anything else you do not want touching the rest of your clean, innocent suitcase contents. And in Disney World, that category gets large very quickly. ©Amazon You might use them after a pool break. You might use them after a water ride. You might use them when your kid manages to find every puddle in Magic Kingdom. You might use them when a poncho does its best, but Florida rain still finds a way because Florida rain has ambition. A wet dry bag keeps damp items contained so your suitcase does not become a humid little terrarium of regret. The 5-pack is especially useful for families, longer trips, split stays, or people who like to pretend they are “packing light” while bringing three outfit options per day. No judgment. We see you. We are you. BAGSMART Hanging Travel Bag Use one for swimsuits, one for dirty socks, one for toiletries, one for snacks that could leak, and one for whatever mysterious Disney vacation emergency inevitably appears by day three. These are the quiet MVPs of the suitcase. view ON AMAZON FROGG TOGGS Ultra-Lite2 Waterproof, Breathable Rain Poncho Finally, we have the FROGG TOGGS Ultra-Lite2 Waterproof, Breathable Rain Poncho. We know, we know. Ponchos are not exactly high fashion. Nobody is strutting through Adventureland in a poncho thinking, “Yes, this is my red carpet moment.” But when the sky cracks open at 2:17PM, and everyone around you starts panic-buying rain gear, you will feel smug in the best possible way. Frogg Toggs Poncho Florida rain is sneaky. One minute, you are mobile ordering a Dole Whip, and the next minute, the clouds are dumping water on you with the commitment of a Broadway finale. A lightweight poncho is essential because it packs down easily, covers more than a rain jacket, and can help protect your clothes, bag, and general will to continue touring. We especially like having ponchos on hand for summer trips, hurricane-season visits, and any day where the forecast says “scattered showers,” which in Florida can mean anything from “light mist” to “congratulations, you now live in a lagoon.” Frogg Toggs Poncho And yes, you can buy ponchos in the parks. But they will cost more, and you will probably be buying them while already damp, which is not a financial decision-making state we recommend. view ON AMAZON You can absolutely go to Disney World without these Amazon finds. You can also wear brand-new shoes to EPCOT, skip sunscreen, forget to hydrate, and trust a 9% phone battery to survive until fireworks. But should you? Absolutely not. FuelRod These are the items we keep recommending because they keep proving themselves trip after trip. They are practical, packable, and genuinely useful in the parks and at your hotel. So if you have been reading DFB for a while and still have not bought a portable charger, a poncho, or a mini fan, consider this your lovingly judgmental nudge. Add to cart. Pack the bag. Outsmart the chaos. It folds up easily Your future sweaty, rain-dodging, phone-charging Disney World self will be deeply grateful. We might have lost Muppets Courtyard in Disney’s Hollywood Studios to make way for a new Monsters, Inc. land, but at least the Muppets are getting their own space over on Sunset Boulevard as they prepare to take over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets. ©Disney But it’s not just a ride that’s getting a Muppet makeover. The former KRNR snack spot near Rock ‘n ‘Roller Coaster is also getting a makeover…and it’s going to be themed to the Swedish Chef! Well, now, we have a huge SIGN that this is really happening! Disney recently announced that FØØD by Swedish Chef would soon be coming to Sunset Boulevard, and even teased what looks like some kind of churro at the snack spot. Well, we recently got an actual look at this new snack spot, and the sign for it is actually up now! So it’s a LITERAL sign that it’s really happening! There it is! Disney hasn’t revealed the menu for FØØD yet, but we hope it will be a bit tongue-in-cheek and feature some snacks with some famous Swedish Chef quotes like “Bork Bork Bork” Meatballs or the “Hurdy Gurdy” Churro. We do hope that the menu will feature some unique — perhaps even Swedish — snacks like Västerbottenostpaj (cheese pie) or Swedish Meatballs, but that might be just our own personal wishful thinking. FØØD by Swedish Chef Like we said, Disney already teased a churro, which is decidedly NOT Swedish, so who knows what the menu will be? ©Disney We’ll be keeping an eye out for that full menu, though, and more details about the new snack spot set to open with the new ride on May 26th, so stay tuned to DFB for more. Some Disney souvenirs are sleek. Some are trendy. Some light up, sync to your phone, and require an app, a password, and possibly an emotional support Dole Whip. ©Amazon And then there are the souvenirs that grab your inner child by the scrunchie and say, “Remember when entertainment came with cardboard reels, tiny plastic pegs, jigsaw puzzle dust, and a general lack of Wi-Fi?” Yep. We found a whole lineup of vintage-inspired Disney souvenirs you can buy online right now, and they are giving Saturday morning cartoons, Pizza Hut Book It buttons, and Disney VHS clamshell cases energy. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. Are some of these technically practical? Debatable. Are they charming? Absolutely. Are we about to justify several purchases in the name of nostalgia? Please. We were born ready. View-Master Mickey Mouse Deluxe Set, Disney 100 Edition Let’s begin with the toy that made every kid feel like they were operating top-secret NASA equipment from the carpeted floor of their grandparents’ living room. The View-Master Mickey Mouse Deluxe Set, Disney 100 Edition, is the kind of souvenir that makes you want to clear your schedule, sit crisscross applesauce, and dramatically click through tiny magical scenes like you are personally managing the Disney archives. ©Amazon For anyone raised in the ‘80s or ‘90s, the View-Master was basically virtual reality before virtual reality got all headset-y and expensive. No charging cable. No software update. Just your eyeballs, a plastic viewer, and the satisfying little kachunk of changing scenes. This Disney 100 edition gives that same throwback feeling, but with Mickey Mouse front and center. It is part collectible, part toy, part “I bought this for the kids” item that somehow mysteriously ends up on your own shelf. Funny how that happens. ©Amazon This would be a great gift for Disney adults who love retro toys, collectors who enjoy Disney anniversary merchandise, or families who want something a little more tactile than another screen-based souvenir. Also, it is just plain cute. Sometimes that is the whole argument, Your Honor. view ON AMAZON Mickey’s Walt Disney World Adventure Little Golden Book There is a very specific emotional reaction triggered by a Little Golden Book spine, and science should probably study it. Mickey’s Walt Disney World Adventure has that classic, cozy, old-school Disney storybook feel, the kind that instantly transports you back to being tucked under a blanket while someone reads aloud and you pretend you are not already asleep by page six. ©Amazon Little Golden Books are basically the literary equivalent of a PB&J cut diagonally. They are simple. They are nostalgic. They know exactly what they are. And this one brings Mickey into Walt Disney World, which makes it a sweet pick for young Disney fans, future park kids, or grown-ups who still feel a tiny heart-squeeze when they see vintage-style Disney illustrations. This is also one of those souvenirs that does not have to scream “I WENT TO DISNEY WORLD” in neon letters. It is subtle. It is sweet. It belongs on a bookshelf, in a nursery, or in the hands of a kid who is already being gently indoctrinated into the sacred art of planning your snack route before your ride route. As they should be. This is one that would be so perfect to have the characters sign when visiting the parks instead of using an autograph book. view ON AMAZON Ceaco Disney Vintage Buttons 750-Piece Jigsaw Puzzle You know what says “I am a grown adult with hobbies”? A 750-piece puzzle spread across the dining room table for three days while everyone in the house is warned not to touch “the blue pieces.” The Ceaco Disney Vintage Buttons Jigsaw Puzzle is giving old-school Disney Parks button energy, which is a deeply specific and deeply delightful corner of Disney nostalgia. It has that “found in a drawer at your parents’ house next to old ticket stubs and a random Epcot keychain” feeling. ©Amazon And honestly? We love that. This puzzle is perfect for Disney fans who enjoy vintage park graphics, retro typography, and the kind of souvenir design that feels like it came from a time when everyone wore tube socks unironically. It is also a fun gift for families, puzzle people, and Disney adults who need something to do while pretending they are not checking wait times from their couch. A 750-piece puzzle is also a nice middle ground. It is not so tiny that you finish it before your coffee gets cold, but it is not one of those 3,000-piece monsters that threatens to become part of your estate planning. view ON AMAZON The Art of Disney: Classic Movie Posters 100 Postcards We need to talk about postcards. No, really. Once upon a time, people sent postcards instead of texting “wish you were here” with a blurry castle selfie and three accidental thumb shots. Quaint! Elegant! Mildly inconvenient! ©Amazon The Art of Disney: Classic Movie Posters 100 Postcards is a fantastic pick for Disney fans who love classic animation, vintage movie poster art, and stationery they fully intend to use but may simply admire in a drawer forever. No judgment. We all have our stationery goblin tendencies. This set includes 100 postcards featuring classic Disney movie poster artwork, which means you can actually send them, frame them, use them as gift tags, tuck them into books, or create a little Disney gallery wall without having to commit to one giant piece of art. ©Amazon This is especially great for fans who love the golden age of Disney animation, old movie theater vibes, or that gorgeous promotional art from before every poster had to look like 14 floating heads arranged around an explosion. Use them. Save them. Frame them. Hoard them lovingly like a dragon with excellent taste. view ON AMAZON BigWig Prints Disney Princess-Inspired Vintage Wall Art Set If your home decor style is “classic Disney, but make it look like I did not buy it from a gift shop five minutes ago,” this one may be calling your name. ©Amazon The BigWig Prints Princess Wall Art Set includes vintage-style artwork inspired by characters and films like Bambi, Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, Dumbo, Pinocchio, Snow White, Peter Pan, and Beauty and the Beast. The set is unframed, which gives you some flexibility depending on whether your personal aesthetic is polished gallery wall or “I found these frames in the closet and we’re making it work.” This is a lovely option for a nursery, kids’ room, playroom, office, Disney-themed guest room, or that one corner of your house where your personality is allowed to escape containment. ©Amazon We also like that this kind of artwork can feel Disney without being aggressively Disney. You know the difference. Some Disney decor whispers, “I enjoy whimsy.” Some Disney decor enters the room wearing ears, holding a bubble wand, and announcing it has a dining reservation. This set is more whisper than bubble wand, and that can be very useful if you are trying to sneak Disney magic into your home like a tasteful little gremlin. view ON AMAZON Pacifica Island Art Florida’s Disney World First Year of Operation Vintage Airline Travel Poster Tin Sign Now THIS is for the Disney Parks history nerds. Please collect your commemorative lanyard and proceed to the front of the class. The Pacifica Island Art Florida’s Disney World First Year of Operation Delta Air Lines Vintage Airline Travel Poster Tin Sign is based on a vintage travel poster by Daniel C. Sweeney from around 1971, which means it has that dreamy early-Walt Disney World vacation energy. ©Amazon We are talking opening-era Florida, old-school airline travel, citrus groves, monorails, and the kind of vacation marketing that made everything look glamorous and slightly sun-faded. It is retro in the best possible way. This tin sign would be a great pick for a home office, bar area, Disney room, gallery wall, or anywhere you want to casually signal, “Yes, I have opinions about the original Vacation Kingdom of the World branding.” ©Amazon And listen, if you are the kind of person who gets misty-eyed over vintage Disney World logos, old attraction posters, and the phrase “first year of operation,” this might need to come home with you. Not because you need it. Because need is such a small, joyless word. view ON AMAZON Lite-Brite Super Bright HD Disney Edition The Lite-Brite Super Bright HD Disney Edition is basically a glowing portal back to childhood, except now it is Disney-themed and somehow brighter than the one we remember from the era of slap bracelets and Capri Sun pouch injuries. ©Amazon Lite-Brite was one of those toys that made you feel like an artist, an electrician, and a wizard all at once. You punched little colorful pegs into a blackboard, turned off the lights, and suddenly you had created a masterpiece. Was the masterpiece occasionally crooked? Yes. Did several pegs vanish into the carpet forever? Also yes. But the drama was part of the medium. This Disney edition takes that classic creative toy and adds Mickey-shaped nostalgia fuel. It is a fun gift for kids, but let’s not pretend adults are above this. If you were raised on Disney Channel, cereal commercials, and the sacred thrill of renting a movie from Blockbuster on a Friday night, this is going to activate something in your brain. ©Amazon It is also a great rainy-day activity, screen-free toy, or “I bought this for my niece and then opened it myself” situation. We support your journey. view ON AMAZON Vintage-inspired Disney souvenirs have a way of making us feel like kids again, but with adult money, which is frankly a dangerous combination. These finds are sweet, charming, and full of retro Disney personality. Whether you are shopping for a gift, decorating a Disney-themed space, or simply trying to recapture the feeling of watching Disney movies on VHS while eating cereal in front of the TV, these souvenirs deliver the nostalgic sparkle. ©Amazon Just remember: if anyone asks why you bought a Lite-Brite, a View-Master, and Disney postcards in the same week, the official answer is “home curation.” We’re always on the hunt for the latest and greatest Disney souvenirs and essentials, so don’t forget to stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for more! If you’re a Star Wars fan, then you know how important the shows are. From The Mandalorian to Ahsoka, some of the shows set in a galaxy far, far away have become just as iconic as Luke, Leia, and Han themselves! ©Disney Between Obi-Wan Kenobi and The Book of Boba Fett, Star Wars TV series have been a landmark of the post-Skywalker era. That’s why Disney just renewed a popular Star Wars show for its second season! Nobody wants to spend an entire Disney park day digging through a giant backpack just to find lip gloss or sunscreen. BAGSMART Water Bottle Holder Bag Lately, smaller park bags have become the move, especially for Annual Passholders, quick evening visits, and anyone trying to stay hands-free without sacrificing the essentials. After testing the BAGSMART Water Bottle Holder Bag with Strap in the parks, we totally understand why people are obsessed with these sling-style water bottle bags right now. It’s lightweight, surprisingly roomy, and honestly made our Disney day way easier than expected. This Tiny Bag Somehow Holds Your Entire Park Day BAGSMART Water Bottle Holder Bag There’s a very specific kind of Disney frustration that happens when you only want to carry a few things but still need room for the essentials. Water bottle, sunglasses, sunscreen, cards, pins, phone…it adds up FAST. That’s where the BAGSMART Water Bottle Holder Bag really impressed us. This thing looks compact, but it fit a 24 oz water bottle, sunglasses, a pinfolio, sunscreen stick, lip gloss, Tylenol, and even a hair clip without feeling overstuffed. The front pocket also fits a larger iPhone easily, which immediately made it feel more practical than some mini park bags we’ve tried. The side zipper made grabbing items surprisingly easy, and the drawstring top kept everything secure during rides without needing constant zipping and unzipping. This Might Replace Your Loungefly for Short Park Days BAGSMART Water Bottle Holder Bag We never thought we’d compare a water bottle sling bag to a Loungefly, but here we are. For shorter Disney trips, especially afternoon or evening park visits, this bag was honestly more convenient in a lot of ways. Instead of stopping to remove a backpack every time we needed water or pins, we could just swing the bag around and grab what we needed instantly. If you don’t need to haul snacks, extra clothes, or kid supplies all day, this setup just works. The BAGSMART sling also feels incredibly light by itself. Since the material is soft and flexible instead of structured, you can really make use of every inch of space. The Rain Test Was Surprisingly Impressive BAGSMART Water Bottle Holder Bag Florida weather stays unpredictable year-round, and a bag that can survive a random downpour matters more than people think. One thing we genuinely appreciated about the BAGSMART Water Bottle Holder Bag was how well it handled the rain. The water-resistant quilted fabric dried quickly and didn’t leave weird water spots afterward, which immediately gave it bonus points for Disney use. The adjustable strap also made it easy to customize depending on how we wanted to wear it. The crossbody felt the most comfortable during walking-heavy park days, but you can shorten it or carry it by the top handle if you prefer. For a bag at this price point, it definitely felt more durable and functional than expected. The One Thing You Should Know Before Packing a Giant Stanley BAGSMART Water Bottle Holder Bag This bag handled a standard water bottle beautifully, but there’s one limitation worth mentioning. Once we switched to a heavier 40 oz tumbler, the thinner strap became a little less comfortable. The bag technically fit larger bottles just fine, but the weight distribution wasn’t ideal for long periods of walking. A slightly wider strap would make a huge difference for people carrying oversized tumblers all day. That said, for Disney parks specifically, this wasn’t a huge issue for us because refill stations are everywhere. Carrying a lighter bottle solved the problem pretty quickly. Honestly, this still feels like an easy recommendation for Annual Passholders, quick trips, or anyone trying to simplify their park bag situation. view ON AMAZON Overall, we’d absolutely pack the BAGSMART Water Bottle Holder Bag again for Disney World. It solved a real problem for us by keeping essentials accessible without needing a bulky backpack, and it somehow carried more than we expected from such a compact bag. It’s especially great for shorter park visits, adults traveling without kids, or anyone looking for a lighter alternative to a traditional park bag. We’re giving it a solid 4.5 out of 5. If the strap were slightly thicker for heavier bottles, it would probably be a perfect score.
