  1. From fluttering butterflies to buzzing bees and more, pollinators play a powerful role in keeping our planet healthy — and at Disney, they’re getting a little extra love this Earth Month. Around the world, Disney cast members, Imagineers, scientists, and storytellers are coming together to protect pollinators and the habitats they depend on — all part of our Disney Planet Possible commitment to help create a healthier planet for people and wildlife. From long‑term research programs to hands‑on guest experiences (and even honey you can taste), nearly every destination has a pollinator story to tell. So, let’s take a global tour of how Disney is celebrating and supporting these tiny heroes. Local Students Create Pollinator Habitats for Cotino, the first Storyliving by Disney community Pollinator pods planted at Cotino in Rancho Mirage, California In California’s Coachella Valley, local high school students recently took part in hands-on conservation work to support the native desert ecosystem in Rancho Mirage. Through a collaboration between The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens and Cotino, the first Storyliving by Disney residential community, students in the zoo’s Desert Defender Career Exploration Camp created 17 pollinator pods to support local wildlife. The pods, small seed balls made from native plant seeds, clay and compost, were planted at Cotino by the students, linking classroom learning to real-world conservation efforts in their own community. Desert Defenders is a community education initiative led by The Living Desert and supported by Storyliving by Disney. The program engages schools and neighborhoods across the Coachella Valley through creative, hands-on projects such as building pollinator gardens and exploring ways to reduce waste and protect desert habitats. By supporting programs like these, Disney helps encourage students to learn about conservation and take an active role in protecting the desert environment they call home. Disneyland Paris Apiaries and Honey Over in France, Disneyland Paris has had its very own beehives since 2012. In fact, there are now 40 domestic beehives across the resort, helping reinforce natural pollination and support local biodiversity. Across the resort, nearly five acres of flower-filled meadows also serve as a refuge and food source for pollinating insects. They even produce their own honey from an apiary at Davy Crockett Ranch and other locations. These bee yards provide a safe shelter where bees can thrive and reproduce during swarming season — the time when the queen bee and a group of bees leave their nest to form new colonies. Sustainability is also at the heart of the program. Only surplus honey is harvested, ensuring the bees still have plenty of food to last all winter long! Local Honey at Disneyland Resort’s Napa Rose If you haven’t heard, Napa Rose has recently reopened at Disneyland Resort and features exciting selections that highlight seasonal produce and pay homage to California wine country cuisine with global influences. But did you know that the honey used in this restaurant is coming from nearby pollinators? Yes, that’s right — the honey is locally sourced by beekeepers right in the heart of Southern California. Wildflowers and Monarch Migration at Walt Disney World At Walt Disney World, the Disney Conservation team has led pollinator research and monitoring programs, helping scientists better understand butterfly and bee populations, migration patterns and the health of ecosystems they call home. From adding 14+ acres of wildflower meadow around solar arrays, to creating pollinator gardens with native milkweeds and flowering plants in the parks and resorts, to tagging monarch butterflies to track their movements, the team is always hard at work innovating to move the science forward and save species. And as a founding member of the Florida Butterfly Monitoring Network, Disney Conservation has monitored butterflies in the conservation areas of Walt Disney World for over 20 years and published papers on the results. This long‑term research helps inform conservation strategies that protect pollinators far beyond Disney’s parks, supporting biodiversity and habitats around the world. Through its leadership of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) Saving Animals from Extinction (SAFE) program for North American monarch butterflies, Disney has also brought together more than 100 AZA institutions and program collaborators across the United States and Canada to engage audiences, increase collaboration, and improve the species’ conservation status in North America. Supporting Butterflies in our Backyards and Beyond The Disney Conservation Fund has supported nonprofit organizations working with communities around the world to protect pollinators — from birds, to bees, to butterflies, and bats. This includes more than a decade of support toward University of Florida’s work to reverse the decline and aid the recovery of 45 at-risk butterfly species in Florida and California. This team’s efforts have engaged more than 40,000 people in conservation education and outreach programs, planted nearly 30,000 wildlife-friendly native plants to help restore important habitats for species, reintroduced more than 47,000 captive-bred butterflies to the wild, and even helped increase the population of critically endangered Schaus’ swallowtail butterflies in Florida from only four individuals in 2012 to more than 1,700 by 2021. A recent grant from the Disney Conservation Fund will also support Monarch Joint Venture’s efforts to restore and connect 15 miles of monarch butterfly habitat across important migratory routes in California’s Bay Area and Central Valley over the next two years. Disney VoluntEARS Grow Impact For the last five years, Disney VoluntEARS have also helped support declining monarch butterfly populations by planting and caring for appropriate pollinator-friendly plants for their region, providing more than 7,000 hours of service. As monarch populations have declined in recent decades, especially following the 2025 Los Angeles fires, planting butterfly‑friendly plants at home is an important way to help their populations recover and continue to grow. Their efforts will continue this year, helping grow a brighter future by providing vital nectar resources and host plants to lay their eggs on this spring. From butterflies to bees and beyond, these are just a few of the ways Disney is helping pollinators thrive. This story is part of our 30-day countdown to Earth Day celebrating the Disney Conservation Fund’s 30th anniversary — follow along at thewaltdisneycompany.com/disney-planet-possible, and don’t forget to stream Secrets of the Bees on National Geographic, with episodes streaming on Disney+ and Hulu. 2. Sometimes, there are big ride changes like Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, where Disney has given us months to overanalyze every single thing. Other times, Disney pops something up overnight, and it’s a total surprise to us. Expedition Everest When we were in Animal Kingdom recently, we had to ride one of the best roller coasters on property and find the yeti, but in line, we noticed a new change that Disney definitely did not warn us about. On Expedition Everest, they added a new safety video to the monitors! Check it out! It’s fun (and helpful), and it’s the little things like this that help keep the rides fresh and new. You’ll have a little bit of time to check it out While we didn’t get too much time in front of them since we wanted to keep the line moving, it definitely caught our attention. What a fun addition We also found out it’s the 20th anniversary of Everest! What a massive achievement, especially with all the changes in Animal Kingdom right now. Time to celebrate! One major change is that DinoLand U.S.A. is being renamed Pueblo Esperanza, a Tropical Americas-themed land. ©Disney || Tropical Americas Land coming to Animal Kingdom It will feature an Encanto attraction (the very first!) where you get to go inside Casita. ©Disney DINOSAUR is also being turned into an Indiana Jones attraction. While it uses the same technology as the ride in Disneyland, this one will have a different storyline that we’re looking forward to seeing for ourselves. New Indiana Jones Ride ©Disney You can’t forget about the Disney animal carousel, too. This will be a super fun, family attraction for everyone to enjoy. A carousel featuring the resident wood carver’s favorite animals. ©Disney We’re always on the lookout for new changes in Disney World, so make sure you keep following Disney Food Blog for more! 7 MAJOR RIDE CHANGES HIT DISNEY WORLD IN 2026 — HERE’S THE FULL LIST Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! 5. It’s officially time to go to infinity and beyond, because Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin has finally reopened at Magic Kingdom! Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin soft opening After Cast Member previews and a surprise soft opening, this popular Tomorrowland ride is welcoming Space Cadets once again. We stopped by Magic Kingdom to check out the crowds and wait times, and we certainly weren’t the only ones! It’s official! Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin has reopened at Magic Kingdom after a lengthy closure. This ride got quite a refresh with new vehicles, blasters, targets, and more. When we checked out the ride as part of a preview, we LOVED everything about the updated changes. We headed into Magic Kingdom this morning to check out the crowds and wait times over at Space Ranger Spin, and it turns out, LOTS of people were excited about the ride’s reopening! Rope drop wasn’t bad When we got into Tomorrowland, though, it suddenly became much more crowded! Everyone wants to ride today! We went to get in line for Buzz, which looked busy, but not too bad at first. Looking okay! But to find the end of the line, a long part of it extended beyond the queue and under the PeopleMover, Getting longer… Until we finally found it, stretching towards Carousel of Progress! The Cast Member confirmed that the wait time is 45 minutes or less. Found it! As far as wait times go, it looks like Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin has peaked at 45 minutes this morning. Since Lightning Lanes for the ride are almost sold out for the day, we’re expecting it to get more crowded as the day goes on. Only 45 minutes! One of the biggest (and most celebrated) changes to the new version of Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin is the replacement of the original, fixed blasters with new ones that can be picked up and aimed in any direction. Previously, you had to fully spin your ride vehicle to aim your blaster at the targets, but now, you can pick up your blaster and point it where you want it to go. This is an extremely welcome change, and we’re not the only ones who think so. Buzz We’ll be on the lookout for more Buzz Lightyear updates and beyond. In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more! Check out more Magic Kingdom news at the links below! 6. Space Rangers, this is Star Command. You are clear for takeoff. Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin One of our beloved and nostalgic attractions in Magic Kingdom is officially back open, which means we need to start our hand stretches and target shooting to be the first in our family to hit Galactic Hero. Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin is officially open in Tomorrowland. This ride has been under a lengthy refurbishment, during which it was completely updated, and it feels so fresh and new (with all of your favorites still there). Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin The ride vehicles have been updated… Hop on! …and now have digital screens with your points live updating in front of you. You can also see the symbols along the bottom, which show which level you’re at. Digital Screens Speaking of levels, you can now get more than 999,999 points, which means you can go to infinity and beyond! You’ll be a Galactic Hero if you get 1,000,000, but you can also get more points. Does this make the title of Galactic Hero a little less exciting? A smidge, but 1,000,000 is a huge achievement in any world. Scores THE ULTIMATE GUIDE TO GETTING GALACTIC HERO STATUS ON THE NEW BUZZ LIGHTYEAR’S SPACE RANGER SPIN We’ve been OBSESSED with the new handheld blasters. It’s a complete game-changer since you can pick up the blaster and move it around to shoot. The button is also a normal trigger on the front, versus that super difficult button on top. It’s so much easier to score points! The blaster also vibrates when you hit a target, so you have an idea of when you score points. Point and shoot! Another incredible change is that in the cart, each balster is a different color: red or green. This way, you know what you’re pointing at and actually know if you’re close to the target. Let’s ride Buzz Lightyear! The targets have also been updated. Make sure you keep your eye out for the flashing white targets — those are the ones with the most points. New target! Please say hi to Buddy! He’s our newest friend who teaches you how to shoot your blaster in the beginning. He is incredibly adorable, and his nametag is such a fun feature. He greets you right at the beginning of the game. It’s Buddy! Now, because this ride was closed for so long, it’s going to be popular. Expect long waits for the ride while everyone gets their chance to ride with the new updates (and probably afterward because the updates are AWESOME). You can choose to ride this attraction during Early Entry, which is where Disney World hotel guests get an extra 30 minutes in the park before it officially opens to the public. It might be a good choice to ride it during Early Entry or at the end of the night before the park closes. Don’t forget to check out the gift shop It’s also a part of Lightning Lane Multi Pass, but keep in mind that it will likely sell out fast, so you’ll want to pick Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin as your first selection for the day. 30-minute wait during soft opening Welcome home, Space Rangers! 8. It’s time to save the universe alongside our friend, Buzz Lightyear. Now I take being a Galactic Hero very seriously, so the first step of this mission included visiting Tomorrowland and connecting with the cast members and Disney Imagineers who know this attraction best. I’m happy to report that the attraction truly feels like a natural extension of the classic but with new enhancements that make the experience even better. So, get your notepad ready because we’re breaking down what’s new, how scoring works, and the different strategies guests can use to reach Galactic Hero. Now, more than ever, there are multiple ways to prove you’ve mastered the mission. Do you want to maximize your score? Keep these tips in mind on your next mission: Quick Tips for High‑Scoring Space Rangers: Aim for the center of every target to make each shot count. Harder‑to‑hit targets are worth more points, so don’t be afraid to go for the challenge. Watch for targets that light up or look different. These targets are worth extra. Try different strategies! There’s more than one path to Galactic Hero. A Familiar Mission with New Updates Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom remains the classic attraction guests know and love, with many of the attraction’s legacy “secret” high-value targets (in addition to new ones that you should keep your eyes out for ). The experience is designed to feel intuitive and welcoming, making it easy for new recruits to jump right in while giving seasoned riders plenty to rediscover. Now what’s different, you ask? Brand New Scene: Guests are greeted by an all‑new character: a friendly robot named Buddy, created by Walt Disney Imagineering and Pixar Animation Studios to join the Star Command team. As a support‑bot, Buddy helps prepare departing Space Rangers, and this is a great warm-up opportunity if you want to practice your aim before the true test begins. New Ride Vehicles and Hand-Held Blasters: Star Cruisers received a fresh new look inspired by the colors of Buzz Lightyear and Star Command, along with onboard video monitors that deliver real‑time scoring updates and other exciting features. Each vehicle is also equipped with new handheld blasters designed for better aim, making it easier for guests of all ages to jump into the action. With always‑on lasers, two distinct blaster colors per Star Cruiser, and new lighting, sound, and vibration effects, players can clearly see where they’re aiming, if their aim is correct, and when they hit the target. Interactive Targets: The targets have been upgraded with new technology to let you know when you’ve hit them. You’ll also find that a few targets will randomly have a white or multicolor ring around them. That’s an important thing to look out for depending on your game strategy. Watchout Tip: Check your blaster color! You’ll see either red or green. This color will also appear on a target whenever you hit the center so that you know you were successful. Why Farther Targets Are Worth More Points Now if you’re trying to get as many points as possible, I’d recommend aiming for targets that are further away. The greater the distance or more challenging to hit, the more they’re worth. Before you take the shot, double check that you’re aiming for the center. These new details offer a fun, competitive edge that reminded me of Toy Story Mania! battles with my brother at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. You might even want to stretch beforehand because I was rubbing my arm (where my bicep should be) by the end of it. I told you we don’t mess around with Galactic Hero status at Disney Parks Blog, and my first run through…cough cough…practice round…is no different. Over here, we practice how we want to play. Boost Your Score with Standout Targets As you travel throughout the attraction, keep an eye out: you may spot a few targets that randomly illuminate with a white outer ring. Those targets are worth double their normal value when that happens, and it stays that way until they’re hit! This boost is helpful on your mission, and even bigger when the ring is multicolor instead of white. The multicolor-ringed target is the most rare and valuable target in the game. It appears at random, in only one location at a time, and if it isn’t hit within a few seconds, it vanishes and reappears somewhere else. I can report that I hit a multicolor-ringed target, and it was the best part of my day. I still stand by that statement because what followed included a major limited-time bonus mode, not just for me, but for all guests in the vicinity! You are the hero of the game at this point because all targets in the scene are worth significantly more points for a brief period. This phase doesn’t last long, so stay focused and adapt on the fly. You’ll notice this bonus period is starting to end when the outer ring begins to count down by extinguishing counterclockwise. Why Every Target Counts at the End of the Mission The excitement doesn’t stop when the final shot is fired. As the mission comes to a close, every distinct target you’ve hit is tallied and contributes to a bonus added just before your final rank is revealed. That means consistency really pays off. Hitting more unique targets throughout the attraction can deliver a satisfying score bump right at the end, rewarding Space Rangers who stay engaged from start to finish. Choose Your Path: There’s More Than One Way to Level Up Galactic Hero remains the top rank, but there’s no longer just one way to get there. Some Space Rangers rely on precision and difficult shots, while others focus on adaptability and timing. Any one of these strategies offers a legitimate path to saving the universe, giving well-prepared and repeat guests the opportunity to chase legendary status in their own way, with their own style. The ‘Secret Target’ Strategy The original secret high-value targets remain with some new ones to discover, too. Their value has decreased, but the new hardware makes them easier to hit, and they can still be the backbone of a high score. Guests who memorized the locations from the original attraction can blast those targets repeatedly and quickly rack up points. And keep a lookout for some new secret target locations. Illuminated Targets Keep your eyes on the outer ring. Targets with a white outer ring are worth double their normal value, and a rare multicolor-ringed target is the single most valuable target in the game. Hitting it puts you well on your way to Galactic Hero and triggers a bonus limited-time mode with substantial scoring returns. Bonus For Targets Hit While this alone isn’t enough to reach Galactic Hero, this reward keeps in mind the players who try to hit as many targets as possible. At the end of the game, a score bonus is distributed based on the number of distinct targets you hit throughout the game, rewarding a wide-ranging play style. Incoming Transmission: You’re Ready to Save the Universe With refreshed gameplay and multiple paths to success, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin gives the rider more ways than ever to level up. Every mission is a new chance to prove you’ve got what it takes, for those chasing a personal best or setting their sights on Galactic Hero. As we all know, “to infinity and beyond”! 10. Your shoes get all the credit, but your socks are doing the real work. ©Bombas After a full day at Disney World, covering anywhere from eight to twelve miles on pavement, your feet are going to tell you exactly what they think of your gear choices. The difference between happy feet at park close and a blister situation by lunchtime often comes down to one overlooked detail: what’s actually inside your shoes. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. The Reason Your Feet Are Wrecked by 2 PM ©Amazon Most people pack their Disney bag with snacks, sunscreen, and portable chargers, and then grab whatever socks are sitting at the top of the drawer. It seems like a small decision, but you feel it for the entire day. Heat, sweat, and repetitive motion are a brutal combination, and standard cotton socks tend to hold moisture against your skin, which is exactly how blisters start. ©Amazon The Bombas Women’s Originals Ankle Socks are built with Extra Long Staple Cotton that stays breathable in summer heat and warm on cooler days, plus moisture-wicking properties that keep things dry even during the long hauls between Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. The Honeycomb Arch Support System provides a subtle cushioned hold right where your foot needs it most, and the Seamless Toe design eliminates the annoying ridge that causes friction over time. There’s also a Blister Tab at the back to protect your heel from rubbing against your shoe. ©Amazon These socks have earned the nickname “Most Comfortable Socks in the History of Feet,” and after a ten-hour park day, you’ll understand why. Take a look at them before your next park day. view ON amazon The Version Your Travel Partner Needs Too ©Amazon It would be a shame to sort out your own sock situation and leave the other half of your travel crew to suffer through the afternoon. The same logic applies regardless of who’s wearing them. ©Amazon The Bombas Men’s Originals Ankle Socks are built with the same core features: Extra Long Staple Cotton, moisture-wicking construction, the Honeycomb Arch Support System, a Seamless Toe, and a Blister Tab. They come in classic, understated colors that go with basically anything in a park-day wardrobe. Beyond the comfort factor, Bombas has a one-for-one donation model, meaning every pair purchased results in a pair donated. So you’re solving your own blister problem and doing something good at the same time. Grab a pair for whoever you’re dragging through the parks. view ON amazon The right socks sound like a small thing until you’re two hours from park close and your feet are screaming. At $18, Bombas are genuinely one of the easiest upgrades you can make before a Disney trip, and they’re the kind of purchase you’ll remember every single time you lace up. 12. Larger-than-life Rapunzel and Tiana Classic Doll box installations arrived at Disney Springs — and yes, guests can actually step inside them. But the best part? This is a photo op with purpose. The life-size displays are inspired by Disney’s new Classic Doll box packaging, which is 100% plastic-free. In fact, the new packaging design will help avoid the use of over 110,000 pounds of plastic per year. That’s equal to the weight of about 11 elephants (compared to the 2020 packaging design)! From April 6-26, guests are invited to channel their inner princess and step inside this life-size doll box experience, just in time for Earth Month. Click the image above to get a video peek at the life-size doll boxes Step Inside the Magic This immersive photo moment gives Disney Springs guests the chance to become the star of the story. They can pose solo, snap a photo with friends and family, or even capture a magical moment with the help of Disney PhotoPass. And the magic doesn’t stop there. The dolls featured in the installation are available just next door at Once Upon a Toy. The new plastic-free packaging is available for Disney’s Classic Dolls at select Disney stores and Disney Parks locations in North America and on DisneyStore.eu and DisneyStore.com.au. Designed with Play — and the Planet — in Mind Not only do the updated boxes help us avoid the use of plastic; they are also made from certified, sustainably sourced paper. “At Disney, we always start with the story — creating authentic character experiences that resonate with guests and fans. Our packaging is where that story begins. With our Classic Doll packaging, we saw an opportunity to rethink the guest experience through the lens of both sustainability and design. The new Classic Doll packaging reflects a more holistic approach — eliminating plastic, reducing material use, and bringing back direct visibility to the doll,” said Stefanie Majoras, Vice President of Global Merchandise Sourcing and Supply Chain Optimization at Disney. This is just one step in our journey, all part of our ongoing efforts to take meaningful and measurable action to support a healthier planet for people and wildlife, a commitment we call Disney Planet Possible. More dolls and products will continue to roll out with reduced-plastic and plastic-free packaging in the future. Plastic-free packaging is now available for Classic Dolls across 15 Disney characters, including: Elsa, Anna, Ariel, Aurora, Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Merida, Moana, Mulan, Pocahontas, Rapunzel, Snow White, Tiana, and Tinker Bell — with even more characters coming later this year. “This is just one project in a focused ongoing effort to develop packaging solutions with efficiency and sustainability at the forefront of design efforts,” said Steven Saco, Technical Packaging & Supply Chain Engineering at Disney. This Earth Month, this larger-than-life photo moment is one example of how Disney is working to reduce waste and create more sustainable products and experiences. We’re also celebrating the Disney Conservation Fund’s 30th anniversary by spotlighting 30 of Disney’s biodiversity conservation and environmental sustainability stories. 14. While we’ve been in spring break season for a few weeks in Disney World, there are still a few weeks left to go, so crowds aren’t going away anytime soon. Spring Break Crowds If you’ve never been to the resort during spring break before — perhaps you try to visit during less crowded times of year — it may be a bit of a shock. Sure, there are crowds and higher wait times, but there are a few other things you may be totally used to doing with no issues that you find you’re barred from doing during the busier season. If you’re heading to Disney World in these final few weeks of spring break, here’s your reminder that Disney is VERY particular about these four rules! Taking A Bus From Disney Springs Has Gotten Way Harder At the very end of March, Disney World implemented a temporary new rule that makes traveling to a hotel from Disney Springs much harder than it was before. Blockades were put up in front of all the bus station routes with Cast Members stationed at each one to check for hotel or dining reservations before allowing people to get in line for the bus. Cast Members checking MagicBands We were told the rule was only going to be put in place for that week, as it was one of the most popular spring break weeks as well as Easter, but it was mentioned that the new rule could be extended or brought back at other busy times of the year. Yes, this means that unless you had a hotel reservation at the hotel you were heading to, had a dining reservation to eat there, or had a specific plan at the hotel (you want to dine at a quick service restaurant or you’re checking out the recreational activities), you wouldn’t be allowed to board. Basically, if you wanted to head to a hotel just to resort hop and check it out, you very likely wouldn’t be allowed on board. Blockades put up The reason for this? To keep people from parking for free at Disney Springs, heading to a hotel, and then taking a bus from there to the parks, thereby bypassing the parking fee. It’s not great, and it’s certainly not ideal for many travelers, so it’s something to expect before your trip begins. 5 Tips For the NEW Disney Springs Bus Rule Parking At Disney World Hotels Parking at Disney World hotels is usually a little tricky if you don’t have a reservation at the hotel or a dining reservation, but during less-busy times of year, we’ve often noticed that parking at hotels is easier and more frequently allowed, even if you’re just popping in to snag a snack. That means, though, that during busy seasons like spring break? Yeah, parking at hotels is MUCH harder. Parking pass It makes sense! When the hotels are more full, there are already going to be more cars that need space, and those with dining reservations at the hotel are also given priority, and there needs to be room for them as well. Can you imagine if you showed up for your dining reservation at ‘Ohana only to be told you need to park somewhere else because there’s no space? Yeah, not ideal! If you want to visit a hotel just for fun and don’t want to worry about parking, we recommend allowing more time to use free Disney World transportation, such as the Monorail, buses, and Skyliner, to get where you need to go, even if it means allowing a little more time. 8 Disney World Hotels That Will ALWAYS Crack Down on the Parking Rules Limiting Mobile Order at Disney World Hotels Speaking of Disney World hotels, we’ve also seen during busy seasons that Disney World limits Mobile Order at the restaurants around the hotels to those who are only staying at the hotel. This is pretty easy to enforce, as you’ll be making the order through the My Disney Experience App, which is also where your hotel reservation would be, so the app just won’t let you make the Mobile Order. ©Disney While you’ll see a pop-up in the app to let you know when this is happening at select restaurants, it’s hard to plan for, as it’s not something you can check in advance. This is part of the reason we recommend having a plan A, B, and C in Disney World, even when it comes to dining. That way, if your first option is limited or unavailable, you’ve got backup plans in place. Your Guide to Using Mobile Order in Disney World! Unruly Behaviour in the Parks With so many people shoulder-to-shoulder, you very well may see Cast Members and security members shut down potentially unruly behavior, like roughhousing, running, or rowdy behavior, much quicker than normal. While this type of behavior is always against the rules in Disney World, sometimes Cast Members and security let it slide if it’s not overly dangerous. During these busy seasons, though? It’s more unsafe, and Disney’s committed to keeping everyone unharmed, even if it means cutting into someone else’s fun. Roughhousing in these crowds would be extremely dangerous We’ll continue to keep you updated on all the latest Disney World news throughout the spring break season and beyond, so stay tuned to DFB! 17. There are a lot of places to eat at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, all of them offering unique themes, food, and experiences! Hollywood Studios One of the most iconic places to eat at Hollywood Studios is the Sci-Fi Dine-In Restaurant. It has good food, but it’s really the atmosphere and the vibes that make this place what it is. We recently ate there because a few new items made their way onto the menu, and we’re letting you know what we think about them! The Sci-Fi Dine-In Restaurant is themed as a 50s-style drive-in theatre, offering a fun dinner and show experience. The tables are cars, and it feels like you’re sitting outside at night watching ’50s ads, commercials, and shows on a big screen. Sci-Fi Dine-In Theatre Restaurant Like we said, there were a few new things we got to try, starting with the Cheese Ravioli for $26. This dish is a cheese ravioli with lemon ricotta, mushrooms, sausage, and squash. It had large, soft ravioli that were very well-cooked. It had a tender texture and balanced amounts of filling. The filling seems like a creamy cheese blend. Cheese Ravioli The ravioli leans more towards cheese-focused, with very light focus on anything else. It seemed like some kind of cream sauce was on it, but it didn’t have any taste to it that we could pick up. The lemon ricotta is in separate hunks across the dish, but when we spread it out and mixed it in with everything else, the lemon flavor complemented the cheese and vegetables nicely. Let’s take a bite! The squash has a firm, slight crunch with a fresh, watery bite. The sausage reminded us of a breakfast sausage, with a stronger peppery taste that’s more savory than spicy. The mushrooms had a grilled, smoky flavor. However, they’re pretty bland on their own without much seasoning. It’s tough to take a bite of everything together, but when you do, it gives a balanced, earthy, savory, creamy flavor. Overall, it was a good dish; we just wish there had been a more prominent sauce! This is good! Next, we had the Grilled Pork Chop for $32. This is a pork chop with peach chutney on top and cream cheese polenta on the side. The pork chop is juicy with a firm texture that sits between tender and slightly chewy. It also wasn’t dry, which we appreciated, as pork chops can be on the dry side sometimes. It doesn’t fall off the bone, but it’s definitely evenly cooked throughout. Grilled Pork Chop There’s a strong smoky flavor and visible char marks that you can taste, which adds a nice depth of flavor. The flavors are evenly distributed throughout the pork chop, even in the fat, which makes us think it was marinated. The peach chutney was more savory than sweet, with a peppered taste. Let’s take a bite! The asparagus has a strong grilled and smoky flavor that drowns out any natural taste it has. The exterior is very crispy, but inside is on the firm side. It seems slightly buttery, but it’s hard to tell through the smoke flavor. The cream cheese polenta is thick and dense, and it complements the pork chop well, especially with the juices from the pork chop. Overall, it’s quite filling and a solid pork chop! Try it out! For dessert, we grabbed the Feature Finale for $10. This is a small round sponge cake topped with a jelly swirl. Let’s start with the jelly topping, which had a smooth, jiggly texture and a raspberry flavor. It sits loosely on top of a shortbread cookie on the cake and can slide off easily. Feature Finale The interior had layers of fruity jam that we believe was strawberry. The cake itself was light, fluffy, and soft like a good angel food cake — only, not as sweet. This looks tasty! The overall flavor was a very strong tartness that was overwhelming in most bites. When we slid the shortbread cookie off, it revealed the layers of the cake that looked like a cinnamon roll spiral structure inside. Overall, this was a very tasty dessert. This was delicious! We always find ourselves at Sci-Fi Dine-In, it’s just that fun of an experience. If you haven’t eaten there before, we highly recommend it. Now, they have even more menu items to try, so there is no excuse! Here’s what we got! For more Disney food reviews, make sure to stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog! 18. Disney’s newest cruise ship has set sail, and we were some of the first people to hop on board! Let’s have a drink! The Disney Adventure has blown us away in more ways than one! One of our favorite things about the ship is the bars and drinks you can try out. One of the prettiest bars is the Garden Bar, but are these drinks more than just a pretty face? We’re finding out together! The Garden Bar can be found in Disney Imagination Garden, where Disney’s castle at sea is located! The bar is located right below the castle so if you have a hard time finding it, just look for that. The Garden Bar The bar is small with seats all the way around it and a seating area in front of it for extra spots to relax. While there is quite a bit of seating, there isn’t a ton of shade so that’s something to consider before sitting down for a drink. The seating area! On top of the bar, you might even spot a golden statue of Tinker Bell! She’s so very cute. Can you see Tinker Bell? To drink, we tried out two beverages! First was the Garden Sparkle with Grey Goose, Chambord, lemonade, and prosecco for $12.00. The Garden Sparkle! This drink was very nice and refreshing! The bartender explained to us that this beverage was inspired by the three princesses referenced in the castle (Rapunzel, Elsa, and Moana), thanks to the different elements in the drink. That being said, those elements aren’t reason enough to grab this drink. Luckily, the flavors hold up all on their own! A closer look at those grapes! It was light, thirst-quenching, and had a slightly acidic touch to break through the sweetness. It was super sipable but nothing earth-shattering in our opinion. If you’re looking for something that’s easy to sip on and offers familiar, slightly sweet flavors, this is a great option. If you want something super unique, maybe consider skipping this one. It is very pretty! We also tried out the Teatime Tini with Bombay Sapphire, Elderflower Liqueur, lime, green tea, and pandan for $12.00! This electric green drink was inspired by Tinker Bell herself. The Teatime Tini It was a very unique drink that was fairly strong. The most apparent flavor was the elderflower liquor, making it floral and sweet. The pandan flavor syrup was also pretty notable. It was also quite sweet and unlike anything we had ever had before. The tea flavor helped balance those strong, sweet flavors and added a slight earthiness to the drink. The top! 19. When you think of the best Italian food in Disney World, your mind might go straight to EPCOT, but we’re going to tell you that’s wrong. Arancini di Carne After all, that’s where you’ll find an entire pavilion dedicated to Italy, complete with picturesque architecture and popular dining spots. And no, we’re not including the festival booth typically found here. But what if we told you that the real standout Italian meal isn’t in the parks at all, but also you won’t have to go too far from EPCOT to find it! Tucked away inside Walt Disney World’s Swan Hotel, Il Mulino New York Trattoria is quietly serving up some of the most authentic and delicious Italian food on property, and it might just be the best Italian dining experience in all of Disney World. Let us tell you about it! Il Mulino Il Mulino is actually a second location of the original New York restaurant in Greenwich Village, and it brings those same rich, traditional flavors from the Abruzzi region of Italy right to Disney World. From the moment you walk in, the vibe is noticeably different from many Disney dining locations. The entrance is simple and understated, leading into a space filled with warm wood tones, exposed brick, and soft, rustic lighting. It’s cozy and intimate, but still feels elevated, like a true date-night destination rather than a theme park pit stop. Il Mulino And then there’s the food, which is where Il Mulino really shines. The menu is extensive, offering everything from antipasti, salads, and soups to pizzas, pastas, and hearty entrées. Whether you’re in the mood for a perfectly cooked dish of pasta, a flavorful seafood option, or something from the grill, there’s no shortage of choices here. You can even order family-style if you’re dining with a group, making it easy to sample a little bit of everything. Il Mulino bread service Beyond the main dishes, Il Mulino also offers veal, chicken, and fish options, along with plenty of sides and a tempting dessert menu to finish off your meal. And if you’re a fan of a good drink, you’re in luck because the restaurant boasts an impressive selection of wines, beers, and specialty cocktails. There’s even a lounge area featuring a wine bar and outdoor terrace, where you can sip on everything from small-batch bourbon to cognac or a signature cocktail. Carpaccio Di Carne It’s the kind of place where the atmosphere might not scream “must-visit,” but the flavors will have you planning your next visit before you’ve even left. That’s especially important when you compare it to a fan-favorite like Via Napoli in EPCOT. While Via Napoli is often considered by many guests to be one of the top Italian spots in Disney World, Il Mulino easily rivals, and in our opinion, surpasses it when it comes to quality and authenticity. The only catch? You’ll have to leave the parks to experience it. However, you can even take a boat over to Disney World’s Swan and Dolphin Resort from the International Gateway at EPCOT, or you can make the 10 to 15-minute walk from EPCOT or Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Tiramisu So, who is Il Mulino perfect for? If you love high-quality Italian food, this is an absolute must-visit. It’s also incredibly convenient if you’re staying at the Swan or Dolphin resorts, making it an easy choice for a relaxing dinner after a park day. And if you don’t mind traveling a bit outside the parks for an unforgettable meal, you’ll likely find this hidden gem well worth the effort. Rigatoni Con Funghi On the flip side, it might not be the best fit for everyone. If you’re trying to stay within the parks or close to your Disney hotel, the location can feel a bit out of the way. It’s also not ideal if you’re just looking for a quick or casual bite — this is more of a sit-down, savor-the-experience kind of place. And if immersive theming is high on your priority list, Il Mulino may feel a little underwhelming in that department. Il Mulino Still, if your main goal is incredible Italian food, Il Mulino New York Trattoria absolutely delivers and then some. It’s one of those rare Disney dining spots that flies under the radar but completely exceeds expectations. If you’re willing to venture beyond EPCOT, you might just discover that the best Italian meal at Disney World has been hiding in plain sight all along. 20. Disney World is a funny place these days. It feels like there are things constantly changing throughout the parks. There are new rides on the horizon, new lands coming soon, and more. China Pavilion at EPCOT During this period of change, Disney has also been dropping lots of discounts throughout the year! While you might save a little bit on your hotel room, you’re also going to be paying a little bit more in the China Pavilion in EPCOT. If you’ve ever been Drinking Around the World or found yourself craving egg rolls, you’ve probably been to the Joy of Tea. This spot has snacks and sips that we are in love with, but now this stand has been hit with some price increases! Joy of Tea Several of the popular drinks at this walk-up stand fell victim to the increases, including: Peach Bubble Milk Tea – $7.75 to $7.95 Honey Hibiscus Iced Tea – $7.75 to $7.95 Lychee Bubble Tea – $7.75 to $7.95 DASANI Bottled Water – $4 to $4.25 Dragon Blossom (16oz) – $10.50 to $10.75 Tipsy Ducks in Love – $14.50 to $14.75 Kung Fu Punch – $13.95 to $14.25 Lychee Cha Cha – $12.95 to $13.50 Honey Hibiscus Hard Iced Tea – $13.95 to $14.25 Tipsy Ducks in Love While it’s never exciting to see a price increase, we are relieved that our beloved egg rolls weren’t on this list! (If you’re curious, it’s still only $5.95 for 2 egg rolls). We’re also relieved to see that none of these price hikes were more than $1. Pork Eggrolls When you’re drinking or snacking around the world, this spot is a very popular one. The lines can get long, and we don’t think these price increases will change that! Throughout Disney World, price increases typically pop up at least once a year, but this one did catch us a bit off guard. Be sure to update your budget if you’re going to this walk-up stand and keep following DFB for more Disney news, updates, and more. 21. On April 2nd, more than 100 residents attended a town hall at the Taft Community Center focused on the impact of property tax lawsuits filed by the Walt Disney Company and the rising costs for working families. Magic Kingdom’s Cinderella Castle Hosted by UNITE HERE and the Orange County Classroom Teachers Association, the event gave speakers and community members the opportunity to raise concerns about Disney’s lawsuits against Orange County, seeking refunds of property taxes that fund public schools. Orange County Public Schools has set aside $119 million in response to these lawsuits. The conversation centered on how these lawsuits could affect school funding, while local residents are feeling financial pressure from the cost of living. ©UNITE HERE There was also discussion of the rising healthcare costs affecting both hospitality workers and public school teachers. Some were concerned that Disney may increase health insurance costs for about 29,000 workers, while teachers in Orange County may face similar problems with rising costs. ©UNITED HERE Prior to the event, canvassers visited over 12,000 houses in the community to speak with residents, and over 1,000 signed a petition asking Disney to drop the property tax lawsuits and not raise their workers’ healthcare costs. ©UNITED HERE One resident and Disney worker said, “I own my home, I pay my bills, and my grandfather is on a fixed income. I work at Disney and see how much guests spend every day. We all know Disney can afford to pay more in taxes. If the county raises everyone else’s taxes to make up for Disney getting a refund, I couldn’t afford that.” ©UNITED HERE In the meantime, make sure you keep following Disney Food Blog for more Disney news. 22. Yes, being able to go to Disney World almost whenever you want as a Disney World Annual Passholder is the greatest perk you could ask for. However, there are tons of other perks that come with being an Annual Passholder as well. Disney World Annual Pass Disney World Annual Passholders can get discounts on dining and souvenirs, access to exclusive merchandise collections, and free Annual Passholder magnets (everyone’s favorite)! Speaking of, Disney World just teased that a new Annual Passholder magnet is on the way. They didn’t announce the theme specifically, but we have a hunch. When you go onto the Disney World app, you’ll see in the “Passholder Buzz” tab that Disney is teasing the next Annual Passholder magnet. The caption reads “A Puzzling Magnet,” followed by “You’ve gotta be laser-focused to guess who’s on this new magnet…” ©Disney When you click on it, it brings you to a video of the Pixar ball rolling in. Ok, so Pixar ball and toys?! We think we know which group of characters this magnet will be based on! ©Disney We feel pretty confident in saying that this next magnet will be themed to Toy Story. All the mini references point to it, not to mention the iconic cloud wallpaper you find in Andy’s room, which is featured in the video as well. ©Disney If we were to get even more specific, we’re going to take a wild guess and say maybe the magnet will feature Buzz Lightyear. Think about it — the tab on the app literally says “you’ve gotta be laser-focused.” Who else has a laser? Plus, it would be timely with Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin reopening as a reimagined version! Similar to the Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde magnet dropping around the time the Zootopia attraction opened at Animal Kingdom. Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin With the Buzz Lightyear attraction reopening at Magic Kingdom and Toy Story 5 dropping in theatres this summer, the Toy Story magnet would make a ton of sense. Will it be Buzz? Or, will it be someone else? ©Disney We’ll be keeping an eye out for more information and when the magnet will drop. 23. After a long Disney World vacation, checking out of your Disney hotel isn’t exactly the highlight of your trip. However, with this tip, it doesn’t have to be a problem, either. Front Desk at Art of Animation Checking out of your hotel can be stressful, but it doesn’t have to be! It’s true that Disney World’s policy can get convoluted — surprisingly — due to automatic checkout that doesn’t require a trip to the front desk. With that said, there is one tip that should help you avoid any issues. Per Disney, “If you have a credit card on file — or you have a zero-dollar balance –it’s easy to check out of your room, with no need to stop by the Front Desk! You can enjoy streamlined checkout through the My Disney Experience app. Just open the app menu and select ‘Hotel Reservations’. Then select ‘View Charges’ to begin checking out. If you forget — no worries, you’ll be automatically checked out at our checkout time, 11:00 AM.” Check Out Feature ©Disney Some guests have reported that they have found themselves automatically checked out and locked out of their rooms EARLIER than the 11 AM cutoff, unfortunately. If the location services built into the app tracks you away from the hotel — like at one of the theme parks — on your final day, there is a possibility automatic checkout can be triggered. That means you could be left locked out of your room and away from your belongings, potentially. Port Orleans Riverside Room The solution? Plan ahead if you plan to still have a day at Disney World during your checkout window. If you intend on grabbing breakfast away from your hotel or visiting the Disney Parks, their is one important thing you can do to protect yourself from any digital errors. Breakfast at Boma Aside from limiting yourself to breakfast at your hotel, you can also drop your bags off with Luggage Services! By doing this, you set yourself up for success. If your room DOES lock you out, it really doesn’t matter, since your belongings will be protected by Disney. And by checking your bags with Luggage Services, you give yourself the chance to spend an entire day still exploring Disney World. No hotel room — no problem! The luggage assistance desk! 24. I’m here to spill the best Lightning Lane strategy for EPCOT, so listen up! Journey Into Imagination with Figment Lightning Lane This park tends to get a little controversial when it comes to Lightning Lanes, with some people saying you need them to have a successful day and others disagreeing vehemently. We’ve tested the system in this park countless times, and we’re here to tell you the TRUTH. Do You Need Lightning Lanes for EPCOT? Before we start diving into the intricacies of using Lightning Lanes in EPCOT, I’m going to answer the age-old question: Do you actually need to use Lightning Lanes in this park? Honestly, maybe not. It’s not home to as many rides as Magic Kingdom, so there are fewer things to wait in line for in a day, and its rides tend to have shorter waits overall than those at Hollywood Studios. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure Really, whether or not you choose to purchase Lightning Lanes for this park depends on your budget and how busy EPCOT is projected to be when you visit. If you’re traveling during Spring Break, a holiday week, a holiday weekend, or during a runDisney race, it might be a good idea to splurge. Otherwise, it’s typically possible to accomplish everything you’d like to do in EPCOT without Lightning Lanes…as long as you have a strategy. The 2 Disney World Lightning Lane Hacks That Work Every Time Lightning Lane Multi Pass Starting out with Lightning Lane Multi Pass, this is a per-person, per-day price you pay to access all of the Lightning Lanes in the park, save for one (more on that in a minute). If you go with Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you’ll typically pay somewhere from $19-$37 per person, per day (pre-tax) to access this service. Test Track Lightning Lane Lightning Lane Multi Pass selections can be booked 7 days in advance of your trip if you’re staying at a Disney World Resort, and 3 days in advance of your visit if you’re staying off property. When you book initially, you can select up to three attractions, and you’ll choose a specific return time to use the Lightning Lane. The available attractions are split into two tiers — Tier 1 and Tier 2. Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival After you use a Lightning Lane Multi Pass selection in the park, you can then book another one to replace it, holding up to 3 reservations at a time all day. You can use Multi Pass at each attraction once per day. To get the most out of this system, you’ll want to be continually booking new Lightning Lanes on the day of your visit to replace those that you use. See the Guide to Lightning Lane Multi Pass Here! Tier One Attractions In EPCOT, the Tier 1 attractions include Frozen Ever After, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, and Test Track. When making your initial Lightning Lane Multi Pass selections before your visit to the parks, you’ll only be able to reserve ONE Lightning Lane from this group. After you scan into your first Lightning Lane of the day, the tiers will no longer matter for booking additional selections. Lightning Lane at EPCOT’s Frozen Ever After For these three rides, let’s break down each one as a Tier 1 option to see which you should book. Frozen Ever After is a great selection for families with small kids or those who are big Frozen fans. The line here can get pretty long and stay long all day, though it tends to drop toward the end of the night. Frozen Ever After at EPCOT Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure tends to be the Lightning Lane that books up the fastest at this park, but it’s also a very easy option to rope drop if you’re staying at one of the EPCOT area or Skyliner Resorts, since you’ll enter through the back of the park near the France Pavilion. If you’re staying off property or you’re coming in the park’s front entrance, you’ll probably not be among the first group to rope drop this ride, and therefore, it would be a good Lightning Lane choice. It’s often in the top 3 longest wait times in the park, but it does offer a single rider queue as an alternate waiting option. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure Finally, Test Track is a good choice for thrill seekers, and it tends to book up quickly since the ride got a major overhaul in 2025. This ride isn’t the most popular choice for rope dropping, since people flock more to Remy’s and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, but it holds a steady wait throughout the day. The main thing going against this one as a Lightning Lane choice is the fact that it offers a single rider queue. If you’re fine with splitting up your party, that line can be a very effective way to cut your wait short. Outdoor section What about the Tier 2 selections? Tier Two Attractions The other attractions available through Lightning Lane Multi Pass, and thus, in Tier 2 at EPCOT, are: Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival Journey into Imagination with Figment Living with the Land Mission: SPACE The Seas with Nemo & Friends Soarin’ Around the World Spaceship Earth Turtle Talk with Crush Journey Into Imagination with Figment Of this group, the obvious choices for initial selections to go with your Tier 1 choice are Mission: SPACE and Soarin’ Around the World (or Soarin’ Across America, whichever version it is at the moment). Those are the two attractions of the bunch that get the longest wait times. Mission: SPACE Now, if you have small children or aren’t interested in those two attractions, our second-round picks from this group would be Living with the Land, The Seas with Nemo and Friends, and Spaceship Earth. Each of these rides often hits 20-minute waits during the day and can get longer during the busiest hours. Spaceship Earth The other attractions on this list should really only be booked if you’ve used everything else or don’t have any other options left to book. They typically all have 10-minute or shorter waits. See Lightning Lane Tips From Former Cast Members Here! Lightning Lane Single Pass Moving on to the next Lightning Lane option, we have Lightning Lane Single Pass. This is available at all four parks, and is an offering where you can purchase Lightning Lane access for a single attraction. Single Pass is only offered for Disney World’s most popular rides, and at EPCOT, the Single Pass option is Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Tap Point for Lightning Lane entrance for Cosmic Rewind Typically, the Single Pass for Guardians costs $19-$22 per person, per day (also, pre-tax). You can book this 7 days before your trip if you’re staying on Disney World property, or 3 days in advance of your visit if you’re staying off-site. You’ll be able to choose your return time when you purchase, though you’re limited by availability. This Single Pass often sells out on popular days. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind If you’re a thrill-seeker, this Single Pass can be VERY worth it. The wait time for this ride is almost always over an hour, and it can get even longer on crowded days. The Full Guide to Lightning Lane Single Pass in Disney World! Lightning Lane Premier Pass The BIG Lightning Lane option for EPCOT is Lightning Lane Premier Pass. This offering includes access to every Lightning Lane in the park (all the Multi Pass attractions and the Single Pass attraction) for one price. It also doesn’t require you to make any time slot reservations on your phone. Test Track The downside? This service is PRICEY. It can cost anywhere from $169-$249 per person, per day (pre-tax). Like the other services, you book 7 days ahead of time if you’re staying on property and 3 days ahead of time if you’re staying off-property. It can sell out on particularly busy days, but it’s definitely a luxury service. The Seas with Nemo and Friends This is a service designed for people who don’t want to reserve return times for rides, and who don’t want to be on their phones all day. With this, you simply walk up to a ride and scan into the Lightning Lane whenever you feel like it. Unfortunately, you only get access to each Lightning Lane entrance once per day. See Our Full Guide to Premier Pass Here! Tips for Doing EPCOT Without Lightning Lanes Ultimately, you don’t need any of these services to have a good time in the park, but we do recommend you go into the day with a plan! If you want to visit sans-Lightning Lanes, it’s a good idea to rope drop one of the popular attractions to start, like Cosmic Rewind, Frozen Ever After, or Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Another great tip is to look out for those single rider lines! Both Test Track and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure offer them year-round, but we’ve seen Soarin’ test a single rider queue in the past. Using a single rider queue can save you a lot of waiting time if you’re willing for your party to be split. Living with the Land One planning tip that helps at EPCOT specifically is that folks often start at the front of the park at the beginning of the day to knock out rides, then move to World Showcase in the afternoon and evening when they’re ready to eat lunch and dinner. If you tackle the park in “reverse,” you’re likely to experience shorter waits. World Showcase If you plan to spend money on Lightning Lanes in EPCOT, make sure you’re smart about your spending! Using these tips will help you navigate the park with ease and spend the least amount of time waiting in line as possible. 25. A popular ride is FINALLY reopening in Magic Kingdom! After months of waiting, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin is reopening very soon. Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin In less than 24 hours, you can fight your way through the galaxy to defeat the Evil Emperor Zurg because the ride officially reopens tomorrow! Ahead of this big change, we’re breaking down everything you need to know and maybe a hint or two at how to become a galactic hero. Galactic heroes, your time has arrived! Buzz Lightyear is finally reopening on April 8th, 2026, after closing in August 2025. The ride did soft open at the end of March, but it wasn’t open every day leading up to tomorrow. We were some of the lucky few who actually got to check it out ahead of time so we know all about those changes! Line for Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin soft opening While the ride is still a general shoot style ride, there have been a few big updates. There’s a brand-new scene at the beginning of the attraction. It features a new character called Buddy, who tells you all about the game and gives you a quick shooting lesson. It’s Buddy! There are also brand new ride vehicles! These updated vehicles got a fresh coat of paint and new blasters. Those new blasters really are the star of the update because now guests can pick them up and shoot more freely. New ride vehicles Once you’re inside the attraction, you’ll notice new targets too! These updates targets are much easier to see, plus they light up when you shoot them so you know that you actually hit the target rather than guessing. This has made it easier to hit the targets and feel confident in your shooting game! New target! Before you hop back onto the ride, we also have a few tips that can help you aim for that Galactic Hero status. Our best tip is to hold the blaster with both hands: use one hand for shooting and the other to steady it. You’ll also just want to keep your finger on the trigger and hold it down constantly as you move it around to hit targets. Cast Members did assure us that you can hold it down and it will shoot constantly, but if you’re looking to be quicker you might want to shoot manually. Both will give you points, so go for what works best for you. Buzz is back! Aiming for the black dot in the center of the target will also get you more points than aiming willy nilly. The way to really max out your points, you need to look for targets that are flashing white — those are worth more points! The updated Escape Hatch Those aren’t the only important targets though! You need to watchfor clusters of flashing rainbow targets. If you see those, shoot at them! They unlock a 10-second bonus mode, and you can rack up several points in those ten seconds to get your Galactic Hero status. Scores We are sersiouly excited to have this attraction back open in Magic Kingdom while we eagerly await Big Thunder Mountain’s reopening. For those who are checking out the attraction tomorrow, good luck defeating Zurg! As always, be sure to keep following DisneyFoodBlog for more Disney news, updates, and more.
