Being a Disney World Annual Passholder comes with some serious perks. Tower of Terror But, one controversial Disney practice is sticking around for passholders in 2024 in most situations — park pass reservations. People with certain date-based tickets will no longer need to make reservations, but that often won’t be the case for passholders. And, that’s why this news we’re bringing you is so important! Bonus park pass reservations have been added for Disney World Annual Passholders in early January! On the 4th, 6th, 7th, and 8th, passholders can make park pass reservations for select parks that won’t impact their total number of reservations held (Disney allows only so many reservations per passholder at one time). ©Disney Here’s a look at the parks available for bonus reservations each day: January 4th: Disney’s Animal Kingdom January 6th: Magic Kingdom January 7th: Disney’s Hollywood Studios January 8th: EPCOT ©Disney So, if you were planning on visiting any of those parks on those days — you can do so without it counting toward your total amount of reservations! Keep in mind that “Good-To-Go” days are coming for Annual Passholders and Cast Members. These are days when Passholders and Cast Members will NOT have to make park pass reservations to enter the theme parks. Annual Passholder Magnets Essentially, Annual Passholders WILL need a Park Pass Reservation to visit Disney World parks EXCEPT in these situations: Good-To-Go Days Any day after 2PM, excluding Magic Kingdom on Saturdays and Sundays (Starting January 9th) You have a Park Pass and have entered that park — at this point, you can hop to any other park at any time of day. If you’re a regular at the Disney Parks, then there’s a 99.9% chance you’ve seen Loungefly bags all over. Well, time to buy more Loungeflys. Whether you’ve seen them in the gift shops, on the backs of other park goers, or in your own luggage, Loungefly backpacks are a popular souvenir for many. What makes them so popular is that they aren’t just a fun souvenir. They’re also an adorable accessory and a great TOOL. They’re the perfect size for a great park bag — as they’re large enough to hold all of your park necessities but small enough to stow away on rides. We recommend these bags to folks all. the. time. However, there’s one instance when we suggest leaving the Loungefly at home. Don’t bring these if you’re flying to Disney World and are hoping to fit everything into just a carry-on. If you don’t want to check any of your bags but will be visiting Disney World for a few days, leave the Loungefly behind! Don’t pack the Loungefly if you’re bringing only carryons. Technically, you could squish the bag down to try to get it to fit into your carryon, but this will potentially damage the bag. Also, if you did fit it into the carryon, it’ll probably take up a lot of extra room. Traveling with carryons only is strategic work! You’re better off using a larger backpack as a personal item on the plane and then utilizing that in the parks. However, if you’re unlike us and don’t overpack every chance you get, then you probably could get away with using the Loungefly bag as a personal item. You could just carry so much MORE with a regular backpack. Walt Disney World What do you say? Will you rethink your packing strategy? We’ll continue to keep you updated with more Disney news and advice, so make sure to follow along for more so that you’re always in the loop. Looking for more Disney World trip advice? Click here! I think we can all be honest with each other here — the Disney World app has its faults. Cinderella Castle My Disney Experience is useful when you’re trying to Mobile Order your next meal or check the wait times, but between the confusing Genie+ system, the clunky search function, and the random glitches that we’ve experienced in the past, we’ve had a fair share of frustrations with the app. But apparently, there’s one frustration plaguing app users that’s such a big problem Disney is issuing a WARNING. Today we were just la dee da scrolling, minding our own business, when this message popped up on the home screen of My Disney Experience. It reads, “This app contains in-app purchases for services like Disney PhotoPass downloads that cost real money.” ©Disney Umm…have you guys been paying with Monopoly money? Because if so, we want to get in on that! Our accountant would be a lot happier with us if we could avoid touching our bank account during Disney trips. It seems as though some guests have been making purchases through the app, not realizing that they needed to actually PAY for those purchases. Possibly kids getting ahold of their parents’ phones? Mobile Order We’re usually pretty lucid when we buy our Corn Dog Nuggets, but in case you were wondering where those random charges came from during your vacation — this might be a helpful warning. Many people keep credit or debit card information saved to their Disney account, and if you let your little ones use your phone unsupervised, it’s easy to make a number of purchases through the app. Spaceship Earth Disney hasn’t shared the official reason why this warning is showing up now, but we’ll keep you in the loop if we get any more details. Let’s do a little Disney Cruise daydreaming, shall we? Disney Dream Or perhaps you’re doing a little more than daydreaming… maybe you’re in the process of choosing and planning your first or next Disney Cruise! Either way, we’re going to chat today about the fourth ship to join the Disney Cruise Line fleet: the Disney Dream. Specifically, we’re looking at this ship’s capacity, and how it differs from Disney Cruise Line’s classic ships (the Disney Magic and the Disney Wonder) and the Wish Class ships (the Disney Wish and the upcoming Disney Treasure). Knowing the ship’s guest capacity may be one factor that helps you determine which ship is the best option for you and your traveling crew. The Disney Dream is the sister ship to the Disney Fantasy, and joined the fleet in 2012. For a “just the facts” look at the size, the Dream is 1,115 feet long and 216 feet high. (For comparison, the classic ships, the smallest in the fleet, are 984 feet long and 171.5 feet tall. The Disney Wish — the newest ship in the fleet — comes in at 1,119 feet long and 221 feet high.) Disney Princess icons So, how does this impact carrying capacity? Well, the Disney Dream offers 1,250 staterooms and can carry 4,000 passengers! (Again, for comparison, the classic ships can accommodate 2,713 passengers. Meanwhile, the Disney Wish can also carry 4,000 passengers.) 1,458 terrific Crew Members maintain the ship and serve and entertain her guests. So, in total, the Disney Dream can carry 5,458 people. ©Disney Cruise Line Those 1,250 Staterooms are broken down into the following broad categories and percentages: 150 Inside Staterooms (12% of the total staterooms) 1,100 Outside Staterooms (88% of the total staterooms) Of those Outside Staterooms, 199 are Ocean View (featuring porthole windows), and 901 are Verandah rooms (including 21 suites). Sooo, what I’m saying is… I think there’s plenty of room for me on an upcoming sailing. How about you? We’ve got an important Disney Dining Plan UPDATE for ya! Magic Kingdom You all already know that the Dining Plans are returning on January 9th, and you probably also know that, when the plans return, they’ll look a little different than they did before. Rules have changed, some restaurants have changed their credit requirements, and the prices have been updated as well. Now we’ve got an update about which Main Street Confectionery treats will be counted as snacks in 2024! When you buy a Disney Dining Plan, you’re essentially buying meal and snack credits for your vacation. Each plan comes with a certain number of credits for each day (although you don’t have to use them on specific days — you could use them all in one day if you wanted to!). mmm, popcorn! For the Quick Service Plan, you get two quick service credits and one snack credit per day. For the Standard Plan, you get one table service credit, one quick service credit, and one snack credit per day. Quick Service and Table Service credits are simple enough — You can use them at quick service and table service restaurants, respectively (though note that some table service meals actually require TWO credits per meal, such as signature restaurants and some character dining). Riverside Mill Food Court Snack credits get you any qualifying snack. This includes things like Mickey ice cream bars, popcorn, bottled soft drinks…anything that Disney has labeled with the little Disney Dining Plan snack symbol. Disney Dining Plan Snack Credit Logo That symbol is key — look for it on menus around the park to find out what counts as a snack for the Dining Plans. Another way to tell, though, is to go on Mobile Order on the My Disney Experience app and look for the phrase “Qualifies as a Snack” in the item’s description. That means it counts as a Disney Dining Plan snack. DDP snacks We recently ventured into the Main Street Confectionery to find out which of the tasty treats in this Magic Kingdom shop would count as snack credits! This is a great place to grab an iconic, Mickey-shaped sweet treat during your day in the park. We love the Main Street Confectionery! We spotted that little Dining Plan symbol next to several treats, like the Twix Fudge Pop, Cereal Treats, and the M&M’s Caramel Cold Brew Fudge. Snacks! But when we hopped onto the app, we saw that even MORE treats qualify as snacks. The Cast Member in the Confectionery said that they will continue to update the cards in the display cases before the Dining Plan officially returns on January 9th, but anything listed as a snack in Mobile Order will count, even if the little symbol isn’t on the physical price card. Twix Fudge Pop Here’s a full list of the Main Street Confectionery treats that qualify as Disney Dining Plan snacks, per Mobile Order: Twix Fudge Pop M&M’s Caramel Cold Brew Fudge Mickey Chocolate Chip Cookie Mickey Gingerbread Cookie Mickey Sugar Cookie Mickey Scone with Dove Chocolate Mickey and Minnie Cereal Treats Mickey Cereal Treat with Freeze-Dried Skittles M&M’s Holiday Cereal Treat Mickey Chocolate Cake Pop made with Chopped Snickers Mickey Chocolate Cake Pop Minnie Holiday Mallow Pop Peanut Butter Cookie Pie made with M&M’s Peanut Butter Candies Brownie Pie with M&M’s Candies Caramel Apple Classic Mickey Caramel Apple Classic Minnie Caramel Apple Caramel Apple with Chopped Peanuts Mickey Holiday Cupcake Cherry Candy Apple with Life Savers Gummies Glacier Drinks in Blue Raspberry, Powerade Fruit Punch, Minute Maid Lemonade, and Fanta Orange The Cold-leidoscope Gralicer drink The Orange Brrr’d glacier drink The cold-coction glacier drink That’s a lot of great options if you want to grab a sweet treat in Magic Kingdom! Some of these treats are pretty expensive, too, which means you’ll really make the most of your Dining Plan if you grab one of those pricey options. For example, the Mickey Caramel Apple is $12.99, but it still counts as a snack! Candy Apples Note that these offerings could change at any time. Disney updates its Dining Plan rules regularly, so we’ll be sure to let you know if we spot any changes. Stay tuned to DFB! Click here to learn more about the Disney Dining Plan. If you consider yourself a Disney Adult, then there’s a great chance that you’ve dreamt of going to Disneyland Paris. ©Disney From the beautiful park grounds to the unique rides, Disneyland Paris is known for being an extra magical experience. What makes it even more magical for many is the opportunity to stay at the Disneyland Hotel located on property there. However, the Disneyland Hotel at Disneyland Paris has been closed for an extensive re-imagining, and is set to re-open to the public on January 25th, 2024. We’ve gotten glimpses of what we can expect so far, but now, we’ve gotten a whole NEW inside look. The Disneyland Paris Ambassadors shared on Instagram a video that highlighted the re-imagined hotel’s very first Discovering Magic Tour, where a team of 10 Cast Members got to take a first look of the hotel. A video was shared on Instagram, and it looks simply MAGICAL. Let’s check it out! First up, we got a new glimpse inside the hotel rooms, which are so beautifully elaborate we want to move in right this second. ©Disney The rooms even have a bit of royal flare, it seems, based on the paintings on the walls. Hi, Cindy! Oh yeah. We almost forgot: the hotel is themed to the Disney Princesses! We previously saw that some of the rooms even have a Beauty and the Beast-inspired wardrobe! ©Disney And just LOOK at this Tangled mirror! This looks like the most perfect place for pre-park day mirror selfies, if you ask me. ©Disney We also got a new glimpse at the rotunda of the main building — which is equally as gorgeous. ©Disney And, of course, we got another glimpse of the gorgeous chandelier in the lobby. ©Disney So… um… should we book our flights now? We want to see this in person SO bad. Until then, we’ll continue to keep you updated with more Disney News, so make sure to follow along so that you never miss a thing and are always in the loop. The holiday season is in full swing in Disney World right now! Holidays in Disney World We’ve enjoyed the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays, the holiday parties, the holiday merchandise, and — most importantly — the holiday food. But there have been some pretty AMAZING holiday souvenirs, too, including some ICONIC popcorn buckets. Well, one of those popcorn buckets is now gone…probably for the rest of the year. If you were hoping to get your hands on that incredible Gold Musical Rotating Tin Popcorn Bucket, well, we have some bad news. As a reminder, this was the gold tin that played music and had a series of rotating pictures on it. This baby is GORGEOUS. Holiday Musical Popcorn Tin We’ve been checking all the popcorn carts throughout Magic Kingdom and we haven’t seen it recently. After speaking with Cast Members at several popcorn kiosks, we were told that it’s sold out and that there won’t be any more in stock for the rest of the year. That means if you didn’t grab it earlier, you probably won’t be able to get it in Magic Kingdom now. Another scene However, we’ve got some GOOD news to go with the bad — we’ve seen the popcorn bucket in Animal Kingdom. So if this souvenir is at the top of your list, head STRAIGHT to Animal Kingdom to grab it. You’ll need to be fast — we don’t know how long it will last there. We also haven’t seen that Christmas Tree Donald Duck Sipper recently in the parks, so it, too, might be sold out or at least running low on stock. Donald Duck Christmas Tree Sipper That happens pretty regularly with the really popular souvenirs, which is why we often tell you to try to get them early. However, there are still plenty of holiday souvenirs left in the parks, so you should still have some to choose from if you’re visiting before the end of the year. Plus, now is a great time to stock up on 2024 merchandise, too! Holiday merchandise We’ll continue to keep covering any new merchandise coming out in Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for more. How are those 2024 Disney World trip plans coming along? World Celebration Gardens in EPCOT We know that there are so many factors you’re keeping an eye on like hotel rates and park tickets when you’re planning your next trip. Let’s talk about the days when Genie+ will be the most expensive in Disney World in 2024. Here are the most expensive days to travel to Disney World in 2024, based on what we saw in 2023. This list is based on ticket prices alone, but Genie+ has a history of being more expensive during these times when tickets are more in demand. How much will Genie+ cost? There’s no way to know for sure, but we have seen prices rise as $35 per person on the busiest days in the parks. Also, as a quick refresher, if terms like Genie+, Lightning Lanes and Individual Lightning Lanes sound like a foreign language to you, you’re going to want to grab our cheatsheet right here! November Thanksgiving falls later in 2024 — on November 28th. If you’re visiting Disney World on November 24th-30th, expect higher ticket prices: $164+, and that generally means higher Genie+ prices, too. Disney World During the Holidays Just for reference, in 2023, those ticket prices for November 24th-30th were from $149 up to $159. December THE MOST EXPENSIVE days to visit Disney World in December 2024 are from December 22nd-31st, when tickets are $164+. Candlelight Processional So, if you’re on a budget, you might want to avoid Disney World on these days because you could save a LOT of money by going on cheaper days. However, if you just can’t avoid it, just keep in mind that Genie+ will most likely cost more, too. We’ll continue to keep an eye on prices — and everything else — in Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for more. Here at DFB, we’re big fans of McDonald’s, and we know our readers are too! We love the McDonald’s near Disney World We’ve covered a lot of news from the Golden Arches over the years, from Happy Meal toys to new menu items. But one thing that we love to talk about is bizarre McDonald’s history…and today we’ve got a piece of trivia that you may not know! McDonald’s shared a new TikTok discussing a menu item from many years ago. Did you know that before there was Chicken McNuggets, McDonald’s used to serve ONION nuggets?! In the video, the person behind the McDonald’s account interviews Mike Bullington, who is head of Archival at the company. Bullington shares that from 1978-1979, McDonald’s sold bite-sized pieces of onions! And yes, they were totally discontinued because people didn’t buy enough of them. (Go figure, right?!) Nugs The good news is that the onion fiasco spawned the Chicken McNuggets that we know and love today. Where onions failed, chicken became a worldwide phenomenon! So there you have it — the history of the long-lost onion nuggets. We’ll make sure to keep you in the loop with more McDonald’s news and fun tidbits, so stay tuned to DFB! Disney World is FILLED with seemingly endless food options. Chicken-Stuffed Mickey Waffles We have so many favorites, it’s hard to even compile a list of every single thing we love. The only problem is that a few of our favs come with a pretty hefty price tag. There are some days, though, when it’s best to be responsible humans (and eaters) and ball on a budget when it comes to food. The good news? Balling on a budget tastes just as good. Well, it tastes just as good if you know where to look. You’re in luck, though, because we’re here to spill the deets on the cheap eats. Let’s dig in! Below, you’ll find the cheapest of our favorite meals that you can find in each park. Magic Kingdom — Corn Dog Nuggets at Casey’s Corner These bad boys are $10.79, come with fries, AND you can get some plastic cheese on the side. Oh, and it’s super easy to eat this while strollin’ around the park. Corn Dog Nuggets and Plastic Cheese A STEAL. Disney’s Hollywood Studios — Totchos at Woody’s Lunch Box TOTCHOOOOOOS, BABY! What the heck is a Totcho? Well, it’s tater tot nachos. They’re tater tots covered in beef and bean cili, shredded cheese, QUESOOOO, tomatoes, corn chips, sour cream, and green onions. TOTCHOS! Delicious. Filling. Only $10.49. Enough to distract you from the chaos that is Toy Story Land. Need we say more? On to the next. Disney’s Animal Kingdom — Baked Mac & Cheese with Pulled Pork at Flametree Barbecue PULLED! PORK! MAC! N! CHEESE! This doesn’t even need an explanation as to why we love it, but just for the record: this $12.49 entree is a heaping serving of macaroni and cheese that’s been topped with smoked pulled pork, ONION RINGS (!!!) AND coleslaw. Yummy It’s so incredibly filling, absolutely delicious, and it’s easy to eat as you’re walking around Animal Kingdom. Win. Win. And Win. EPCOT — Hand-breaded Chicken Sandwich at Connections Eatery Two words: Zesty. Sauce. Yep, end of post. Just kidding. This chicken sandwich is $12.49 and features house-made pickles, zesty sauce, and a yummy chicken fillet on a toasted brioche bun. Yummy You’ll be able to enjoy it inside Connections Eatery which has lots of seating, air conditioning, and more zesty sauce. And there you have it! These are four of our favorite meals in Disney World that all happen to be less than $14. We’ve got GOOD NEWS if you’re hoping to get a new passport or renew yours soon! Passport If you’ve tried to get a new U.S. passport or renew your existing passport in the last couple of years, you’ve probably faced delays and other issues. The U.S. Department of State has been dealing with “unprecedented demand for passports,” causing significant delays in the process. Now, they’ve announced that those delays should be over! The U.S. Department of State announced on Monday, December 18th, that passport “processing times have returned to [their] pre-pandemic norm.” In the announcement, the department stated that “as of December 18, 2023, passport applications will be processed within 6-8 weeks for routine service and 2-3 weeks for expedited service, which costs an additional $60.” They said that this update means they have “fulfilled [their] commitment to return to benchmarks from March 2020.” U.S. Department of State Note that the 6-8 week timeline does not include mailing times. Your passport application might take up to two weeks to reach the department and another two weeks to be mailed back to you, so be sure to factor that time into your plans The Department of State also reminded people to double-check their passport’s expiration date before making travel plans and renew their passports well in advance of international trips. Airplane “Unprecedented demand for passports” can be blamed for the delays in processing time over the last few years. Per the Department of State, “Between October 2022 and September 2023 (the federal fiscal year), the Department of State issued over 24 million passport books and cards – the highest amount ever in our nation’s history.” To get started on your passport application or renewal, visit the U.S. Department of State’s website here. ©U.S. Dept. of State With passport processing times down, maybe now’s the time to plan our trip to see Shanghai Disney Resort’s new Zootopia land! Disney’s newest land has officially opened! ©Disney Shanghai Disney Resort opened the new Zootopia land to guests on December 20th, 2023, and we’re having serious FOMO about it all! There’s a new attraction called Zootopia: Hot Pursuit, which features a trackless ride system and some interesting Imagineering technology. There are some wild new treats, a “one-of-a-kind atmosphere show,” a merchandise location, and more. But, the coolest thing about Disney’s New Zootopia land might be…the bathrooms? Zootopia land has officially opened at Shanghai Disney Resort! It’s the only land of its kind in the world and there are so many incredible things to experience — but we think the bathrooms might just be the best part! ©Disney The tile and colors were made from materials of the Rainforest District that feature a similar palette, but you might notice that the bathrooms were made for animals of all sizes — from big and small to climbing and flying! ©Disney Not only that, but you might even hear animals in adjacent stalls! ©Disney We weren’t kidding when we said this land was made for animals of all shapes and sizes…check out that tiny little door! ©Disney And, if you look closely, you’ll find different-sized benches for whoever might need to take a seat. Look at those tiny little cars parked beneath the bench!! Get out!! ©Disney Head over to the Grand Pangolin Arms Apartments, which is home to many Zootopia residents — including wolves — and you just might hear some howling! You might have to stop by and say “Howl-o” or ask them “Howl ya doing today” and wait for what you could hear! ©Disney Over at the Jaguar Comedy Club, you can hear laughing hyenas heckling a sloth stand-up comedy act. Listen to beavers getting their teeth cleaned at the dentist, and even hear bubbling mud as rhinos have a spa day at Rhino Mud Baths. ©Disney And, of course — you can’t forget about all of those eats! We know, we know. Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom Disney World is a WHIRLWIND of excitement all the time, but especially now. The holiday season is well underway, and we’re all looking forward to 2024, when some of our beloved park perks will return to Disney World. Yep, we’re talking all-day park hopping, the return of the Disney Dining Plan, and the removal of park reservation requirements for most visitors. With all the hullabaloo, it’s possible that you’ve forgotten about another exciting thing set to debut at Disney World soon. The Pirates of the Caribbean restaurant! At this year’s D23 fan convention, Disney announced that a Pirates-themed lounge would grace Adventureland. ©Disney While we don’t know where exactly it will go, or when it will arrive, or what it will serve… We DO know that it will eventually arrive based on Disney’s announcement in September. Well, we hope. Pirates of the Caribbean Disney also said that the location would “extend the story of Pirates of the Caribbean.” Pirates of the Caribbean We have a hunch as to where the restaurant/lounge will go — the old Pirates League building is our best guess. It’s located smack dab next to the Pirates attraction, and also provides just enough space for an intimate restaurant or lounge setting. Currently, it’s being used as a break room for Cast Members — or so a little Barker bird tells us. Pirates League is right next to the Pirates queue However, we’ll just have to keep on waiting for Disney to announce more information! We’ll continue to keep you updated with more Disney news, so make sure to follow along for more so that you never miss a thing and are always in the loop. This is a swirled combination of the Blue Raspberry and Wild Strawberry Freezes, which are both already on the menu. ©Taco Bell The even BETTER news? You can try this new drink for only $1! There’s bougie, and then there’s Disney bougie. Cinderella Castle There are a lot of experiences that cost a pretty penny in Disney World. You can dine at Victoria & Albert’s, take a private VIP tour of Disney World, or even get married in the theme parks. But possibly the ultimate bougie thing to do in Disney World (and one we’re all jealous of) might be LIVING at Disney World. The Golden Oak community allows you to do just that. And there’s a multi-million-dollar mansion in this community that we are drooling over. We HAVE to show you this house! Grand Villa Amore isn’t just an ordinary “villa”, it’s a Mediterranean-themed mansion with its very own Swarovski crystal chandelier. We’re not surprised it has a high price point. But did we mention that by multi-million, we actually mean $13,800,000? The outside of this mansion looks beautiful, but wait until you see the inside! ©Golden Oak Realty Let’s start by checking out this house’s specs (can we even call this a “house?”). It is 10,742 square feet. It has 7 bedrooms, 7 baths, and 2 half baths. There’s an outdoor living area with a summer kitchen and a pool and spa with a fiber optic “starfield” ceiling in the pool gazebo (uh, ok). ©Golden Oak Realty The primary suite features a fireplace and ensuite bath with an “elegant soaking tub.” Naturally, there’s an impressive wine room near the formal dining room (which, of course, has a castle-inspired fireplace). There’s a theater large enough for large groups. But it isn’t just “a theater” it’s a MILLENNIUM FALCON-themed theater. Yeah, seriously. It’s like you stepped foot into the ride, but you’re home in your theater room! ©Golden Oak Realty There’s even a life-sized Chewbacca. ©Golden Oak Realty There are multiple courtyards for privacy and outdoor relaxation and 4 garages (3 of which have lifts) because if you own this house, you probably own SEVERAL vehicles. There are extras, naturally, including a guest casita, fitness, room, and Disney touches throughout. ©Golden Oak Realty This is truly a house you have to see to believe. And you’re in luck! You can actually take a virtual tour of this mansion and feel the envy we’re currently feeling while writing about it. Just click the link, here, to go to the Golden Oak Realty page and select virtual tour. You may find yourself lost in the mansion and no recollection of time around you. ©Golden Oak Realty If we had just a simple $13.8 million lying around, you know we would be calling this our new home! But, alas, we don’t have that kind of change. We hope this amazing house goes to some of the world’s biggest Disney fans (and that they invite us over). While we all wait for our dreams to come true, keep following DFB for more Disney news. 18 Disney World Secrets Even Locals Don’t Know Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! 2024 will be an exciting time at Disney World — we can just feel it. 2024 will be an exciting time! One of the MOST exciting things that we’re looking forward to is the removal of park pass reservation requirements for most visitors after January 9th. And, although the updated rules for Annual Passholders aren’t as snazzy, there will be some big changes. Annual Passholders will still need park reservations if they want to visit a park before 2PM (and all day long on Saturdays and Sundays for Magic Kingdom). Further, Disney is introducing something called “Good to Go” days which will appear on your calendar in the Disney World app. These are dates when Passholders WON’T need a park reservation at all — and they’ll start appearing on your calendar starting January 11th on a rolling basis. So… what else do you need to know? Disney sent out a message to Annual Passholders that was jam-packed with helpful information, like how the “Good to Go” days will automatically appear in your calendar after January 11th, and that these changes will replace the current “Bonus Days,” which are the amount of days Passholders are able to book past their reservation limit. So cute Disney also answered a BIG question that we had. What if we already have a park reservation, but that date becomes a Good to Go day? Well, that reservation will be removed from your limit. It won’t count against you! But, don’t worry — it’ll still appear in your future plans. Annual Pass card So, you’ll be able to move that reservation to a new date! Boom! It’s that easy. Disney said that the Good to Go days will be added on a rolling basis — days or weeks in advance — so it might be a good idea to keep a close watch on your calendar since it seems like it might be a bit last-minute sometimes.
