Alright, roller coaster mega-fans, we’ve got some news that you will NOT want to miss. ©Six Flags Over Texas We’re looking forward to the refurbishment and retheme of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios next year (well, some of us are), but if you’re located closer to the center of the U.S., you’ll want to check out this new coaster coming to Six Flags Over Texas in 2026. However, we’ve gotta admit, we’re pretty terrified of it. UPI has reported that Six Flags Over Texas is getting a NEW coaster in 2026 called Tormenta Rampaging Run, and it’s going to set SIX RECORDS for roller coasters. The theme park says that this will be the tallest, fastest, longest, and first “giga-dive coaster” that is more than 300 feet tall. ©Six Flags Over Texas The coaster’s 309-foot maximum elevation will break a world record, and the main descent will rocket passengers forward at 87 mph, making it the world’s fastest coaster. The dive coaster will also be the world’s longest coaster at 4,199 feet, and will have multiple weightless moments and twists and turns that are supposed to replicate the running of the bulls. ©Six Flags Over Texas The coaster will also have: The world’s tallest vertical loop at 179 feet The highest Immelmann inversion that carries passengers upside down and 218 feet above ground A 95-degree beyond-vertical drop, plunging riders 285 feet ©Six Flags Over Texas So yeah, this sounds pretty terrifying, but coaster fanatics will want to check it out ASAP when it opens next year. As of right now, there’s no official opening date, but we do know it’ll be sometime in the next calendar year, which will celebrate the park’s 65th year of operation. More Recent Six Flags News! Are you planning a cruise? There are certainly some benefits to cruise vacations, including a more relaxed style of vacation, a chance to see some cool sights, and having things like dining included in the cost of your cruise. ©Virgin Voyages Now, normally, you pay one set rate for a cruise, but Virgin Voyages is shaking things up and will soon offer a tiered fare system that will include gratuities separately (and we’re honestly not sure how we feel about that). Virgin Voyages, an adults-only cruise line, has announced a new fare system that will launch on October 7th, 2026, which will feature three different pricing tiers. The three tiers offer different levels of Wi-Fi access, how early dining reservations can be made, and how flexible books are. ©Virgin Voyages The three tiers are as follows: Base Fare: A non-refundable fare with a Basic Wi-Fi tier for one device per person for social media, messaging, and light browsing. This fare also includes access to dining reservations 15 days before sailings. However, changes to names, cabins, or dates aren’t allowed. Essential Fare: This fare includes Classic Wi-Fi for one device per person with social media, messaging, browsing, and audio calling. Those on this fare can make dining reservations 45 days in advance, and have the flexibility to adjust dates of cruise as well as make name changes for passengers two through four. This fare is in line with the current one-tier fare available on Virgin Voyages. Premium Fare: This fare includes Premium Wi-Fi for two devices per person with streaming and video capabilities. Sea Terrace categories can book dining reservations up to 60 days in advance, plus get an included drinks credit plus access to a priority support line before the cruise. ©Virgin Voyages Note that RockStar and Mega RockStar cruisers will be able to book dining reservations 120 days in advance. The biggest change, though, comes with gratuities. Currently, gratuities are bundled into the fare, but now they’ll be listed as a separate line item when a cruise is booked. You’ll be able to pre-pay gratuities at a discounted rate of $20 per person per night or settle onboard for $22 per person per night. So, basically, gratuities are no longer covered as part of the fare you book — they’ll be paid separately. These new fares, as well as line item gratuities, will start for cruises on or after October 7th, 2026, so if you’re booking a cruise on Virgin Voyages, keep that in mind. Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will have you saying “Aloha” while enjoying some tropical drinks with your ‘ohana. The Hawaiian vibes take you on a relaxing getaway right by Magic Kingdom. Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Guests love the tropical theming, subtle Lilo & Stitch and Moana details, and the beach. There are some great places to dine, and you can catch the Monorail right from the hotel to Magic Kingdom or the Transportation and Ticket Center to EPCOT. This is a fan-favorite resort; however, those of us who love it are starting to have a new problem with it. Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is a great hotel, and apparently, it seems that everyone agrees lately, as it has become VERY crowded with people! This can be a bit of a bummer for anyone who is paying to stay there. It makes the hotel louder and busier than it normally would be. Beautiful views from the beach Disney recently changed a major rule that anyone can park at the Polynesian to enjoy a meal at a restaurant that does not require a reservation after 2 PM. As long as there is parking available (hotel guests get priority), you can stop by for a bite to eat without a reservation. Capt. Cook’s Since the hotel is part of the Monorail loop, people can also make their way from Magic Kingdom to the Polynesian to visit the beach, gorgeous lobby, bars, and quick service restaurants. People stopping by just for a look can clog up these areas, making the resort much busier. Trader Sam’s Tahitian Torch Another addition to this problem is the brand-new Island Tower. There are even more people at the resort now that the tower is open with more guests, diners, and visitors. The new restaurant, Wailulu Bar and Grill, boasts great food and views. It’s no wonder people want to stop by to check it out. Unfortunately, that just means more people around the hotel who aren’t necessarily staying in a room. Views from the Bamboo Forest Terrace We completely understand why people want to stop by the Polynesian Village Resort. It’s gorgeous, has great food, and amazing views. Unfortunately, more people dropping by just for a few hours or the day can make it way busier than it would be with only guests who are staying there. This is a nice resort, but if you’re looking for something a little quieter, consider Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge or Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. For more Disney updates, keep following DFB! Disney moms know what they’re doing, even when they worry they’re not doing enough. As a mom, you pack everything you can possibly think of for your Disney World trip and still worry you’ve forgotten something. Stroller parking at Prince Charming Regal Carrousel But if there’s one thing you need to remember to pack, it’s one of these items (depending on your kiddo’s age)! Trust us, these will be lifesavers while you’re standing in the wildly long lines at Magic Kingdom or any of the other parks! DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. Get the Bitzee for Older Kids Bitzee The Bitzee is a fun little device that your older kids can carry with them through the long lines. It can help them pass the time, instead of getting upset waiting for 60 minutes or more for a ride. Disney Bitzee Kids aged 5 to 7 years old are becoming familiar with and enjoying the Disney Bitzee. It’s a simple yet fun device that lets you interact and play with 30 different Disney characters. It takes a little bit to get the hang of it, but once you do, it can help pass the time by playing games with the different characters. Bitzee Mickey! Sometimes you watch little videos of the characters, sometimes you help the characters, and once in a while you’ll be helping one character when another drops in to say they need help. It keeps your attention with each of these different experiences. The only downside we found is that the directions that come with it are a little too basic, and it was challenging to figure out at first. But once we got the hang of it, it was enjoyed by all. One of our team members’ kids really enjoyed playing with it! Bitzee Lightning McQueen The Bitzee is very small and light, so it could easily fit in a pocket or a park bag to help with line boredom. If you’re going to pack anything to help your kids get through the tedious lines, this is it. View on Amazon Or, You Can Grab This Travel Busy Book for Toddlers ©Amazon If you have little kids aged 1 to 3 years old, the Bitzee won’t be a great option. Instead, we suggest grabbing a travel busy book! This is also small and lightweight, and it has LOTS of fun and developmentally appropriate activities for your littles to enjoy while waiting in long lines. Peter Pan’s Flight usually has one of the longest lines in Disney World, so you’ll thank us later when your toddler is busy playing with their busy book. Back on August 29th, Spirit Airlines filed for bankruptcy protection for the second time in less than a year, and then announced flight cuts at twelve different airports in early September. Spirit Airlines Orlando International Airport (MCO) was NOT part of those cuts, but many flight attendants have been left wondering if their jobs are next on the chopping block. Unfortunately, now we know just how many MCO Airport-based flight attendants will be impacted. The Orlando Business Journal has confirmed that, following the September 23rd announcement that Spirit Airlines would furlough a total of 1,800 employees nationwide, we now know that 350 of those will be flight attendants at Orlando International Airport. Even worse, those furloughs will START on December 1st. Spirit Airlines at Orlando Airport While the furloughs are supposed to be temporary, in the letter the company wrote to the state, they admitted that they’re unsure how long they’ll actually last. MCO Airport also isn’t the only one being affected — 71 flight attendants will be furloughed at Miami International Airport, and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport will furlough 309 flight attendants. Spirit Airlines So what led to this second bankruptcy? Well, Spirit Airlines reported operating revenue of $1.02 billion for Q2 2025, which was down 20% from that same period in 2024, and overall, there was a net loss of $245.8 million. In a statement, the company said, “As part of our ongoing restructuring, we are taking steps to align staffing with our fleet size and expected flight volume. We recognize the impact of this decision on affected team members, and we are committed to treating them with care and respect during this process.” ©Spirit Airlines What’s really interesting is that these furloughs at MCO Airport are among the airline still being a key player at the airport, serving 7.83 million passengers in 2024, and was the second-busiest carrier in the hub. The Orlando Business Journal did reach out to MCO to ask if any operational changes are expected to be made ahead of the winter season due to the furloughs, but has not received a response. ©Spirit Airlines Looking for more recent travel news? There are SO many options when it comes to dining at Disney World. There is something for just about everyone, and it can feel a bit overwhelming trying to decide where to eat. We are here to help! We have eaten everywhere in Disney World (more times than we can count), and we are always bringing you the latest reviews of Disney dining. Who’s ready to eat? We recently stopped by La Crêperie de Paris in EPCOT to see what was cookin’, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. Is it worth a stop on your next trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth? Find out here! Atmosphere La Crêperie de Paris is nestled in the France Pavilion in EPCOT. You won’t see it on first glance of the pavilion, as it is a bit hidden back by Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. Believe it or not, there are actually two dining options back by Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. They are both serving up crepes, but one is serving them up in a table-service atmosphere, while the other is serving up crepes via a quick-service window. La Crêperie de Paris is the table-service option, while Crêpes À Emporter by La Crêperie de Paris is the window option. It’s time to eat! Today, we are headed to La Crêperie de Paris for the full dining experience, but if you are ever craving a crepe without having to have a full sit-down meal, Crêpes À Emporter by La Crêperie de Paris is also a great option. Inside La Crêperie de Paris, you will find fairly simple decor along with lots of brown, gray, and cream colors. There are also lots of wood and stone accents throughout. Lots of creams and browns You will also find paintings throughout the restaurant depicting scenes from Paris. We love the pop of color these paintings add to the restaurant, as well as the glimpses into the streets of Paris. The restaurant is on the smaller side, so we do recommend reservations. However, we have also found that this restaurant often has walk-up availability, so don’t let the lack of a reservation deter you from eating here. We love the art! But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?! Menu You can choose from the Soupe du Jour or a Salade Maison as an appetizer. You can also choose to select the Prix Fixe Menu, which is a popular option at this restaurant. With the Prix Fixe Menu, you get either the soup of the day or the Salade Maison, a choice of a Galette, a choice of a Dessert Crepe, as well as a choice between hard cider, soda, or juice. ©Disney You can also get the Prix Fixe Menu for kids, which includes a choice of a Galette (brie cheese, ratatouille, or ham and cheese) and one Dessert Crepe (sugar, red berries, or hazelnut chocolate spread). ©Disney The restaurant offers a variety of galettes (or buckwheat crepes). ©Disney As well as Dessert Crepes like Sucre, Banane, and Poire. ©Disney Finally, you can also choose from a variety of beverages like French Hard Ciders and French Wine. ©Disney As well as other drinks like beer, Champagne, or a French Martini. Plus, you can also choose from Imported Soft Drinks. ©Disney ©Disney And now, onto the main event — the food! Eats We decided to go with the Prix Fixe Menu for $39.95. The Prix Fixe Menu comes with the choice of Soup of the Day or Salade Maison; choice of one Galette with a Glass of Hard Cider, Soda, or Juice; and Choice of one Dessert Crêpe. Prix-Fixe Menu We started off with the Salade Maison for our appetizer, which was way bigger than we thought it would be! It’s loaded with lettuce and has a light vinaigrette on top, which we feel they went light on, but you can ask for more dressing if you would like to. Salade Maison You’ll also find some sliced red onions, cherry tomatoes, and croutons on top, and everything was fresh and a great mix of textures. We were off to a great start, but we had a feeling it would be a FILLING meal if everything was as big as this! Delicious! For our Galette, we chose the Chèvre, which features goat cheese, spinach, walnuts, and honey. While this is made of fairly simple ingredients, they work so well together. Most of the ingredients are in the center of the crepe, so we recommend kind of spreading it around so you get a bit of filling with each bite. Chèvre Galette The crepe itself has a slight crisp to it while still being light and fluffy. Inside, the goat cheese is really creamy and has some herbs mixed in, which we loved, but there is a LOT of goat cheese here, so you’ll need to make sure that’s a flavor you really like before getting it. The spinach is tossed in a light vinaigrette, and we loved how fresh and crunchy it was. The walnuts and honey really helped bring everything together, and we’d absolutely get this again — especially for a lighter meal that won’t weigh you down, but is still filling. Lots of cheese! For the Dessert Crepe, we decided on the Melba, which has peach, red berry sauce, and almonds on it. This one was a bit thinner and wasn’t overly sweet, and was loaded down with berries and peaches that were both in syrup, which made them pretty sweet but also wet, which made the crepe a little soggy. The red berries were like a mixture of blueberries and black raspberries from what we could see, and the peaches tasted like canned peaches or the ones you get in the syrup snack packs. Melba This crepe is also dusted with some powdered sugar and served with a sweet strawberry sauce. While we did appreciate the fruit here, we wish it had been fresh rather than more syrup-y and artificial, as we feel that also would have made the crepe less soggy. Drinks The Prix Fixe Menu also includes a drink, and we opted to grab a Hard Cider. You can choose from three options: brut, sweet, or in between. We opted for the sweet option (doux on the menu), and it is definitely very sweet and tastes like sparkling apple juice. We didn’t taste much of the alcohol, which can be a good thing, or a bad thing, depending on how you prefer your drinks to taste. Hard Cider Nosh or Not This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if… You’re a big fan of crepes, BUT don’t expect them to be the best of the best You’re looking for a nice, air-conditioned, sit-down table service meal and might not have a reservation You’ll be spending a lot of time in the France Pavilion You’re looking for something different and don’t want to spend a ton You should skip this Disney World spot if… You want a meal with big and surprising options on the menu You’re not a fan of prix-fixe menus Crepes aren’t your thing (you’ll be out of luck if that’s the case) Overall Overall, we enjoyed our meal here, especially because it wasn’t very crowded when we arrived, and we were able to be seated right away. And as there are only about 30 tables, the restaurant is on the smaller side. The air conditioning is lovely inside, although the decor is definitely a bit more on the plain side, and it’s fairly echoey, so even though it wasn’t very crowded, it seemed fairly loud because all the voices echoed a lot. Get ready for a BIG meal! For basically four courses for $40, this is a pretty great deal, but it’s a LOT of food, so be prepared to be pretty stuffed when you walk out. In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant updates from Disney World and beyond. Make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more! We recently got the chance to stop by Toledo — Tapas, Steak, and Seafood at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort for a media event, and we are bringing you along with us! Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood This restaurant is a Michelin Guide-recognized restaurant that is located at the top of Gran Destino Tower. It has stunning views of Disney World through its floor-to-ceiling windows, plus a delicious menu filled with cuisine inspired by Spain. If you are looking for a fantastic lounge, make sure you check out Dahlia Lounge, which is located right next door, for equally impressive views! We started the evening off at Dahlia Lounge. This lounge is also located on the 16th floor of Gran Destino Tower, right across from Toledo. Dahlia Lounge We think this lounge is truly a hidden gem. Not only does it offer a menu of yummy bites and tasty sips, but the views are unmatched. You can enjoy the views inside, or head out to the patio! You can’t beat this view! The lounge itself is also gorgeous. It is such a great spot to enjoy a drink and light bite — or even a full meal! We really think it is worth making a trip over to Coronado Springs for this lounge. Dahlia Lounge While we were at Dahlia Lounge, we got the chance to try the Sangria Tinto which is made with Viña Borgia Garnacha, Torres Magdala Naranjas del Mediterráneo Liqueur, simple syrup, and orange. This drink was sweet, fruity, and refreshing. It is a wonderful drink to sip while savoring the views of Disney World. Sangría Tinto After a quick stop at Dahlia Lounge, we headed over to Toledo for our meal! Just like Dahlia Lounge, Toledo is a stunning restaurant. The focal point of the restaurant (besides the wonderful views) are two olive trees and vaulted ceilings with color-changing stained glass. The colorful ceiling represents the four seasons, and the colors will change throughout your meal. It is beautiful! We started off our meal with some wines. Toledo highlights Spanish wines with over 50 choices that are hand-selected by their Master Sommelier. We were poured both a red and white wine to experiment with different pairings throughout our meal. The Sommelier explained that in Spain the vineyards don’t get as much rain, so it produces much more of the dry tasting wines. They were a bit more on the dry side and we thought they were both exceptional. Wines for the meal The red wine was the Bodegas Vatan, Triton, 2022 vintage, 100% Tinto de Toro (Tempranillo). It was full bodied, with hints of smoke and lots of red cherry flavor. Bodegas Vatan, Triton, 2022 vintage, 100% Tinto de Toro (Tempranillo) The white wine was the Paco & Lola Albariño from the Rias Baixas, 2023 vintage. It was a bit sweeter than the red wine, and we tasted notes of apples and grass. Paco & Lola Albariño from the Rias Baixas, 2023 vintage We started off by tasting some of the tapas offered at Toledo. We were given smaller sizes of these tapas, so if you actually order them at the restaurant, you will receive a larger portion! Toledo has an on-stage tapas kitchen where all of these dishes are prepared. We started off trying a small selection from The Spaniard which is the chef’s signature selection of artisanal charcuterie and cheeses. Charcuterie Everything was fresh and delicious. The bread was crispy and buttery, and the meats were fatty and savory. There were two cheeses; one was similar to blue cheese, and the other was a harder cheese that was nutty and creamy. It was also served with a dish of olives and soft apricots. Charcuterie Next up, we tried Charred Octopus, Rioja-braised Chorizo, and Gambas al Ajillo. Our reporter that attended the event is allergic to shellfish, but they did get the chance to try the Rioja-braised Chorizo. More tapas! The Rioja-braised Chorizo was very yummy! It wasn’t spicy at all and had gravy-like sauce. The meat was juicy and had a great snap to the covering. Rioja-braised Chorizo Up next, even more tapas! This time we were able to try the Olive Oil Poached Tuna with Cherry Salsa, ‘Tortilla Española’ with Onion Marmalade, and a Mussel Salpicón. Even more! The tuna was soft and tender and was served with a tangy, cherry slaw on top. The fish tasted very fresh, and the combination of the fresh fish and acidity of the slaw balanced this dish very nicely. Raw Fish The ‘Tortilla Española’ was a surprise favorite! It reminded us of an egg white omelet with a sweet onion topping. It also had some herby flavors as well. We would definitely want to try this item again! ‘Tortilla Española’ Spanish Potato Omelet That wraps up the tapas, now onto the main course! We got the Salmon that the chef was nice enough to pan-sear for us to avoid cross-contamination with the shrimp that is cooked on the plancha. Normally, the Salmon is plancha-seared. It is served with asparagus purée, vizcaina sauce, and seasonal garden vegetables. Salmon The salmon was tender and moist. It had a slightly crispy shell on the top which we really enjoyed, while the inside was smooth as butter. It was served with tender veggies: asparagus, onions, and peppers. The sauce was herby and silky smooth. It was also topped with some crispy beans on top that had a lovely crispy coating while being nice and soft inside. Salmon Finally, we finished the meal off with a trio of desserts. These are also sampler sizes of some of their dessert offerings, so you will get a bigger portion if you order them in the restaurant. Time for dessert! We started off with The Toledo Tapas Bar, which is a dessert tasting the flavors of Spanish Coffee, crunchy chocolate, raspberry mousse and lemon curd. The chocolate bar had three different mousses on top: a coffee one, a raspberry one, and a lemon curd. It was fun to see how the bar changed flavor as you tried it with each of the mousses. The pastry chef recommends you start with the coffee one and finish with the raspberry one. This bar had lots of chocolate flavor, and we particular loved the raspberry mousse paired with it! The Toledo Tapas Bar Next up was the Basque Cheesecake. The cheesecake is served with honey-vanilla sauce, almond crunch, honey-quince glazed seasonal fruit, white chocolate Chantilly cream, and hibiscus tuile. This was our favorite one — although they were all tasty! It was creamy, fluffy, and a bit lighter than a normal cheesecake. It had a bit of a caramelized and bitter taste to the very top layer, which worked really well with the milky, creamy inside Basque Cheesecake Finally, we also got a taste of the Classic Crema Catalana which is served with a Valencia orange and chocolate tuile. This was a sphere of custardy goodness. It had a strong vanilla flavor and was creamy. Definitely another favorite that we will be getting on our next trip to Toledo! Classic Crema Catalana We had such a delicious meal at Toledo, and it is hard to beat the views! This is a great option for an upscale meal at Disney World. You can even enjoy views of the fireworks from the restaurant. Whether you are celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a great meal, Toledo is a winner. Disney’s Hollywood Studios may be packed with some of the most popular rides in the world, but a few of its biggest attractions are starting to show signs of wear, and fans are taking notice, as are we. Disney’s Hollywood Studios Disney’s Hollywood Studios is one of the most exciting parks at Disney World with thrill rides, fun themed dining, and excellent entertainment. But as the park continues to evolve, not every attraction feels as stable as it once did. Between looming refurbishments, skyrocketing wait times, and technical issues, there are a few rides that have us raising an eyebrow. Here are three attractions we’re starting to get a little worried about. Rise of the Resistance There’s no denying that Rise of the Resistance is still one of Disney’s most impressive rides, but lately, it hasn’t always been running at 100%. On recent visits, major show elements have not been working. From Kylo Ren’s animatronic being replaced with a screen, to the pre-show cutting out entirely, and even blaster effects that haven’t moved in ages. Stormtroopers in Rise of the Resistance While the ride is still epic even with some effects down, it’s hard not to worry about the long-term reliability of such a technically complex attraction. Fans are hopeful Disney will give it the TLC it deserves before it starts feeling less “immersive masterpiece” and more “half-working blockbuster.” Broken Kylo For more Disney news, follow us at DFB! The seasonal pop-up merchandise store has a fresh location. It’s operating inside the former gaming arcade in the New York area of the park. The main entrance is behind the Palace theater facade, which now has “Tribute Store” spelled out on its marquee. It also takes up space that is the gift shop incorporated into the exit from the Revenge of the Mummy ride, so the end can be congested with waves of recent roller coaster riders. The high-ceilinged space is outfitted to continue the far-reaching conservatory theming of HHN 2025 with stained-glass looks and traveling vines. But it also comes with its own sort of storyline involving the Museum of Antiquities and an opening-night gala gone wrong. “Our story starts in the 1920s, and there was an opening night gala of occult artifacts of the world, so creepy items, cursed items,” Rob Cametti, senior director of visual merchandise, said during HHN’s opening night media preview. “What could go wrong with that?” He compared it with opening Pandora’s box. “Now that the museum is open again for the first time, we’re able to explore adventure inside, where nature and time and whatever was left in there has taken over over all the years,” Cametti said. Theming is high and low in the Tribute Store, and there are Easter eggs of stores past, Universal confirms. (Dewayne Bevil/Orlando Sentinel) The temporary store is designed to appeal to newsbies and HHN aficionados, he said. “When that guest comes in not knowing what they’re getting into, we want them to be surprised and wowed by what they see,” Cametti said. For HHN superfans, “that’s where the really deep storytelling comes in,” he said. “That’s where the Easter eggs come in and all the references to what’s going on in the park and the other Tribute Stores.” The Tribute Store is currently open to park guests daily, not just during HHN evenings. Among the notable sale items spotted there: • Merchandise tied to the event houses, particularly those from outside intellectual properties. Consumers may pick up “Five Nights at Freddy’s” plushes (with “glow in the dark eyes”) for $25, “Fallout” gears, as well as “Terrifier” Christmas sweaters (and associated Clown Cafe ringer T-shirts and bucket hats). Universal visitors can later cuddle up with plush characters from "Five Nights at Freddy's." The eyes glow in the dark, a sign warns. (Dewayne Bevil/Orlando Sentinel) • Lil Boo, the wee jack-o’-lantern character, has an expanded line of options. Buyers may first think they’ve spied night lights, but instead, those are “shoulder pal” figures ($28) for nearby perching. Lil Boo, once a scare zone/viral sensation, is now seen on pajama bottoms, headbands, key chains and the like. • Universal has also leaned into the location- and event-specific Mel’s Die-In items, including a bowling shirt ($75) that fits the era. (For the uninitiated, the Die-In is a play on the park’s Mel’s Drive-In restaurant sign, but with lights burned out, a standard photo backdrop for the Horror Nights set.) “I love that stuff that’s kind of homegrown,” Cametti said. Lil Boo has made its way onto many sorts of HHN merchandise in the past few years, including as a "shoulder pal." (Dewayne Bevil/Orlando Sentinel) • Continuing to surge are novelty popcorn buckets. In the Tribute store, there are Art the Clown heads a la “Terrifier” and, although absent from HHN, Megan-inspired items ($29.99 with popcorn inside). Another Universal Studios store is selling Hello Kitty Chucky hybrid popcorn containers. • The store also offers a 10th anniversary poster ($34) that’s a shout-out to a decade of Tribute Stores. It melds stained-glass, lightning bolts, skulls and perhaps a tombstone. For the horror-film fan who has everything: A popcorn container shaped like Art the Clown from "Terrifier," now on sale at the Tribute Store. The Disney Wish debuted in 2022 with a wave of new fairytale magic, including a first for Disney Cruise Line: Themed stateroom hallways. Each hallway style sets the scene for your voyage with specially selected artwork, carpeting, and character lighting. There are four main Disney Wish stateroom and hallway styles, each tied to a signature theme. Cinderella and Frozen (Decks 2, 6, 7) Princess and the Frog and Sleeping Beauty (Decks 8, 9) Moana and The Little Mermaid (Decks 10, 11) Tangled (Concierge Deck 12) In addition, the two Royal Suites on Deck 12 are themed to Sleeping Beauty; the Princess Aurora Royal Suite and Briar Rose Royal Suite. The Wish Tower Suite on Deck 13 features a refined Moana theme. New Hallway Themes Bring “Wish Extender” Hooks A popular pastime on a Disney Cruise Line ship is strolling the decks to check out fellow passengers’ festive stateroom door decorations. Some families have also participated in the popular, fan-led “fish extender” gift exchanges, named after the fish and seahorse-shaped hooks at each stateroom door on the Magic, Wonder, Dream, and Fantasy ships. For fans of the fish extender exchange that are planning to hang pockets and spread pixie dust, check this out: the door hooks on the Disney Wish fit each hallway theme and have a new nickname, “Wish extenders.” Let’s take a walk through each Disney Wish stateroom hallway style so you’ll know what to expect on your next Disney Wish cruise. We’ll see which decks are themed, the visual details to spot, and the character touches that make every stroll down the corridor a little more magical. Cinderella and Frozen Themed Hallways (Decks 2, 6, and 7) On these decks, staterooms are themed to either Cinderella or Frozen. These themed hallways evoke classic Disney elegance. It’s like stepping into a royal palace wing where a glass slipper might be left behind at any moment. The hallway carpets feature soft icy blue tones with delicate swirls hints of pumpkins and vines hidden in the designs, a nod to Cinderella’s magical transformation scene. Look closely and you might even see a snowflake in the carpet design. Artwork at the stairways and elevators showcase scenes from both Frozen and Cinderella. Guests can find important ship communications on their stateroom sigil. A Whimsical Carriage to Greet You Instead of the usual fish or seahorse on other Disney ships, the staterooms on decks 2, 6, and 7 on the Disney Wish have pumpkin carriage-shaped hooks by the door. Fitting for a hallway that feels like a royal corridor, all your notes and special notices from Disney Cruise Line will be delivered by carriage. Stars dance and shine across the ceiling through the cut-outs in this Cinderella light. Cinderella Character Lighting Throughout the hallways, look up to discover Cinderella-themed lights casting a magical glow across the ceiling. It’s a subtle but dreamy Cinderella reminder of transformation and timeless Disney magic. An icy palace scene chills the Frozen-themed stateroom vibe. Cinderella- and Frozen-Themed Staterooms on the Disney Wish Decks 2, 6, and 7 are ideal for Elsa and Cinderella fans alike. The Frozen-themed stateroom immerses guests in the icy world of Arendelle, featuring a mural above the bed depicting Elsa’s ice palace and snow-covered trees. The Disney Wish’s Cinderella-themed staterooms feature elegant decor inspired by the classic story. The scene above the bed depicts Cinderella’s magical pumpkin carriage rushing to her iconic castle. Stateroom types with these enchanted themes include: Standard Inside Stateroom (Category 11) Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom (Category 9) Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom (Category 8) Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah (Category 5,6,7) Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah (Category 4) Princess & the Frog and Sleeping Beauty Hallways (Decks 8 and 9) The staterooms on decks 8 and 9 are graced by either Tiana or Sleeping Beauty decor, with character artwork and themed details behind every door. The carpets and artwork throughout set the scene of both an enchanted wood and perhaps a tangled swamp, with twisted, thorned vines, and forest creatures. Keen eyes will spot water lilies blooming brightly, reminiscent of the bayou. For those wandering the ship, paintings of Tiana and Aurora are placed in each stairway and elevator area. Do you recognize Briar Rose’s helpful owl friend? A Friendly Owl “Wish Extender” Each hook outside the staterooms on decks 8 and 9 bears the adorable and helpful owl friend from Sleeping Beauty just above the room numb The magic of the forest shines across the ceiling from these imaginative lights. Shining Woodland Lights Fluttering leaves and glimmering fairy magic skip through the hallways thanks to the gentle lighting throughout the Sleeping Beauty-themed halls. The lush, thriving swamp outside New Orleans surrounds Tiana and Naveen in this stateroom mura Sleeping Beauty and Princess and the Frog Staterooms In the vibrant Princess and the Frog-themed staterooms on the Disney Wish decks 8 and 9, guests can enjoy decor inspired by Tiana’s bayou adventures, complete with charming artwork and accents that bring the story to life. The Sleeping Beauty-themed stateroom mural above the bed features Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather surrounded by woodland animals, accompanying artwork around the room with more whimsical scenes. Stateroom types with these woodland themes include: Standard Inside Stateroom (Category 11) Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom (Category 9) Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom (Category 8) Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah (Category 5,6,7) Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah (Category 4) Concierge Family Oceanview Stateroom (Category 3) The Little Mermaid and Moana Hallways (Decks 10 and 11) If you’ve ever dreamed of living under the sea, the hallways on decks 10 and 11 of the Disney Wish will make your fins flip. These corridors channel the oceanic charm and whimsy of Ariel’s world with a cheerful design. The carpet here is vibrant and full of aquatic life, with swirls of seaweed greens, coral pinks, and bubbly blues that look like they were plucked right from King Triton’s underwater kingdom. Hidden in the design, you’ll spot shells, bubbles, and maybe even some of Moana’s wayfinding stars. Near the elevators, bright carpet designs bring the sea to life right here on the ship. Shells mark each stateroom number amid aquatic decor. A Sweet Shell Hook The door hooks on decks 10 and 11 take the form of a stylized nautilus shell. Do you think it is similar to the shell in which Ursula trapped Ariel’s voice? Can you spot Flounder in this school of fish? Ariel’s Under the Sea Lighting Tiny silhouettes of Ariel swimming among the coral or her iconic tail fin peeking from the edge of the design. The bubbly lighting adds a dreamy feeling to the hallway, making each walk to your room feel like you’re descending into a magical reef. Moana-themed staterooms include a scene of Polynesian adventures under the watchful eye of Te Fiti. The Little Mermaid and Moana-Themed Staterooms Decks 8 and 9 hold the perfect staterooms for seafaring folk and fish. The Little Mermaid-themed staterooms aboard the Disney Wish immerse guests in Ariel’s world, with a print of Ariel at play and a sweeping mural of her underwater castle adorned with shimmering accents. Moana-themed staterooms on the Disney Wish showcase accents that reflect the spirit of the ocean, featuring a mural of Te Fiti and a playful Moana print. These serene rooms are ideal for explorers to rest between adventures. Stateroom types with these oceanic themes include: Standard Inside Stateroom (Category 11) Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah (Category 5) Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah (Category 4) Concierge Family Oceanview Stateroom (Category 3) Tangled-Themed Hallways (Concierge Decks 12 and 13) Concierge stateroom decks are adorned with shining suns, lanterns, and even the jubilant Sundrop flower from Disney’s Tangled. Emblems of the kingdom of Corona can be found throughout, offering a royal welcome to guests gracing these halls. Just like in the kingdom of Corona, a sun sigil shines bright at your threshold. A Shining Sun at Your Room The gleaming sun symbol of Rapunzel’s home of Corona marks the concierge rooms on decks 12 and 13, adding a special shimmer to your next cruise bulletin. Go ahead, sing “I See the Light!” when you pass under this shining fixture. Lanterns Gleam and Glow Tiny silhouettes of glittering lanterns reflect throughout the concierge corridors. Look for the silhouette of Rapunzel helping the lanterns to take flight. A peek at the Rapunzel touches to the Concierge 1-Bedroom Suite with Verandah. Tangled Themed Staterooms on the Disney Wish The Tangled-themed concierge accommodations aboard the Disney Wish offer a rich color palette inspired by Rapunzel’s story, with original headboard murals, framed artwork, and details that create an enchanted ambiance. This little Pascal statue faces the door in the Concierge 1-Bedroom Suite with Verandah. Stateroom types with these magical themes include: Concierge Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah (Category 3) Concierge 1-Bedroom Suite with Verandah (Category 2) The Concierge 1-Bedroom Suite with Verandah even has a special little Pascal statue inside the room. It’s playful, lightweight, and gives you just enough shade while you’re strolling through the gardens or browsing the tea shop. Plus, it’s one of those accessories that make for adorable photos, especially if you stop to meet Pooh and friends in Christopher Robin’s room. It’s a fun way to stay comfy in the Florida sun while still looking like you belong in the Hundred Acre Wood. This Alice in Wonderland tee features the outlined rabbit. Toss this shirt on, pair it with a cardigan or a denim jacket (just in case of a breeze), and you’ve got an outfit that feels like it belongs at a Mad Tea Party — fun, themed, but still Instagram-ready. View on Amazon ©Amazon You can also add this Loungefly “Unbirthday” mini backpack. A restaurant near Disney World was shut down on September 15th, 2025, due to inspectors finding 15 violations, four of which were high priorities. ©Sickies Garage Burgers and Brew on Yelp Sickies Garage Burgers & Brews, located at 7640 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway near Disney World, was briefly shut down last week due to violations. The restaurant had 15 violations, which included high-priority issues such as an employee failing to wash their hands before handling food, rodent activity, and an improperly stored toxic substance. The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation inspected the restaurant on September 15th, and the restaurant was temporarily closed due to violations. Items included basic violations such as standing water in the bottom of the reach-in cooler, fly sticky tape hanging over the food preparation area, and the interior of an oven/microwave had accumulated black substance/grease/food debris. The four high-priority items were an employee failing to wash their hands before putting on gloves, rodent activity, time/temperature control for food safety, and a toxic substance improperly stored. ©Penney B. on Yelp Corrective action was taken to coach employees about washing their hands, and the operator cleaned and disposed of rodent droppings from the floor and under the equipment. The operator also took corrective action to ensure food was stored at the proper temperature. ©Lourdes P. on Yelp A second inspection conducted later in the day identified 11 violations, with three classified as high priority. The restaurant took corrective action to address the employee who did not wash their hands and corrected the food that was held at the wrong temperatures. A time extension was issued on the improperly stored toxic substance. The restaurant was listed as having “met inspection standards during this visit” and has since reopened. ©Sickies Garage Burgers and Brew on Yelp We have seen restaurants near Disney World shut down before, including Latin Bistro Express and Perkins Restaurant & Bakery, which were shut down back in August. Both of these restaurants have reopened after a follow-up inspection.
