Soarin’ is getting a major makeover in Disneyland and Disney World! Breaking news! In Summer 2026, Soarin’ in Disney California Adventure and EPCOT is getting a brand new “airborne adventure!” The new version of the ride will take you across the United States, “highlighting some of the country’s natural beauty and iconic cityscapes.” Disney has shared that new “iconic elements” that make Soarin’ so famous will be included, like the flight, sights, music, and scents! Personally, we’re hoping to smell the orange groves again! They also shared photos of Disney Imagineers capturing “more than a dozen” new scenes. ©Disney The newest version of the ride will be aptly named Soarin’ Across America! The new poster for the attraction shows off the Statue of Liberty, a flying eagle, and the American flag. ©Disney They even brought back Chief Flight Attendant Patrick for the announcement! The limited-time “itinerary” is to celebrate the country’s 250th birthday. The current iteration of the ride is called Soarin’ Around the World and takes you (of course) around the globe! It features stops in Paris, Brazil, China, Germany, Fiji, and more. The original version of the attraction was called Soarin’ Over California, and it debuted in 2001 when Disney California Adventure opened. That version of the ride typically comes back for a limited time during California Adventure’s Food and Wine Festival. Soarin’ Over California With all of the major changes going on in Disney World, this one definitely caught us by surprise! Disney also shared that more updates and behind-the-scenes looks will be revealed over time before the change takes place. As always, be sure to keep following DisneyFoodBlog for more Disney news and updates. The Walt Disney Company is joining a once-in-a-lifetime celebration of our nation’s 250th anniversary with a new initiative called “Disney Celebrating America.” Kicking off on Veterans Day 2025 and continuing through the July 4, 2026, weekend, this celebration will bring together Disney’s beloved brands and platforms to honor America’s past, celebrate the present, and inspire its future. Through heartfelt storytelling, experiences, and meaningful support for veterans, military families, and communities, Disney will shine a spotlight on the people, places, and moments that make our nation special—a tradition of honoring and uplifting others that’s been part of Disney’s story for more than a century. As America’s preeminent storyteller, Disney will help bring the semiquincentennial to life by celebrating the dreams, stories, and optimism that have inspired generations. From sports and entertainment to travel and tourism, Disney encourages families everywhere to explore, learn and discover the diverse lands, and vibrant communities that make up our shared story. “At its heart, America’s story is one of imagination, ambition, and possibility – the same ideals that have guided Disney since the beginning,” said Robert A. Iger, Chief Executive Officer, The Walt Disney Company. “This celebration honors both a nation and a spirit that never stop dreaming about what’s next.” To mark the occasion, Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort will celebrate coast-to-coast, anchored by the Summer 2026 opening of Soarin’ Across America, an immersive flight experience aboard the beloved Soarin’ attractions at Disney California Adventure park and EPCOT. Soarin’ Across America will take guests on a breathtaking journey, highlighting some of the country’s natural beauty and iconic cityscapes. The celebration will culminate on the July 4th weekend with a 24-hour, multi-platform broadcast, “Disney Celebrates America,” highlighting America’s 250th anniversary events nationwide across Disney’s linear networks and steaming platforms, including Disney+, Hulu, ABC, Disney Channel, ESPN, Freeform, FX and National Geographic, ending with a special evening fireworks broadcast from Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort. David Muir, anchor and managing editor of “World News Tonight with David Muir,” will lead the daylong coverage and be joined by ABC News anchors and correspondents reporting from across the country for this one-in-a-lifetime presentation featuring top entertainers, athletes, explorers, and historians – all coming together to spotlight the wonder, achievements, and dreams that define the American spirit. More Cross-Company Moments and Activations ABC’s “Good Morning America” will continue its popular “50 States in 50 Weeks” series, which kicked off earlier this year, highlighting unforgettable places and people across the nation. National Geographic’s “America in Superlatives” series will feature, across all platforms, a range of National Geographic storytellers and photographers highlighting unique places and events from around the United States, offering surprising and inspiring stories that explore what makes America special. ESPN will premiere a new SportsCenter segment, “America’s Team,” a cross-country search to find out which team most embodies the country, plus special patriotic programming across its flagship platforms, including exclusive live coverage of the 2026 Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest on July 4, 2026. In June 2026, ABC News Studios will present a two-hour primetime special that journeys through the heart of our nation – where the real-life spirit of iconic locales like New Orleans and the American frontier comes alive through the beloved lands of Disney Parks, connecting audiences to the extraordinary people, places, histories, and traditions that make America unique. Expanding beyond Independence Day, the beloved fireworks show “Disney’s Celebrate America! — A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky,” will play across all three nights of the holiday weekend, July 3 – 5, at both Disneyland and Magic Kingdom Park. Disney Consumer Products will once again honor our nation’s heroes with a new special military-inspired assortment now available at select locations across Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort, while supplies last. In addition, debuting in May 2026, an array of Americana merchandise, including select items commemorating America’s milestone anniversary, will be available for purchase at Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World Resort, and DisneyStore.com. Veterans, Military, and Families Throughout the celebration, Disney will continue its proud legacy of supporting U.S. military service members, veterans, and their families – a commitment that has been part of the company’s story since its founding. Disney is also expanding its long-standing partnership with the nonprofit Blue Star Families with a $2.5 million donation to help strengthen military and veteran families across the country. As part of this, Disney and Blue Star Families will continue to create unique events and experiences, including a special celebration marking our 25th “Blue Star Books” event, which brings military families together through the joy of reading and play. And that’s just the beginning! Additional support includes: Disney will invite Military families across the US to attend special movie screenings of new releases on military bases and in key markets throughout the US. ABC News will provide live coverage of celebrations and activations featuring veterans and active military service members stationed around the world. Disney’s platforms will cover additional milestones throughout the anniversary year. In November, Disney Experiences will unveil 2026 offers available at Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, and Disney Cruise Line for eligible service members in appreciation of their service and in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary. Disney will expand its use of the US Chamber Corporate Fellowship and Skillbridge programs, providing networking, professional training and hands-on experience for military veterans entering the civilian workforce. More information on these and additional Disney Celebrates America activations, programming, and offerings from across the company will be released over the coming weeks. Disney has been telling the remarkable story of America and Americas for more than 100 years. Sure, we love A LOT of things about Disney World Resort hotels — including the perks they have to offer. With that said, there’s always room for improvement. Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Lobby What can Disney World do better? In which aspects can it improve? These are the kinds of questions Disney fans love to answer, so we polled our readers to see what they wish Disney World hotels should change, and 64% of you agreed that a popular hotel perk should cast a wider net! Disney World hotels are like no other. I mean, where else can you start your day with a Mickey Waffle, chill by a themed pool, and catch a Disney movie under the stars? Disney hotels rule, and staying at one can be just as fun as going to the parks! But, we’re aware that perfect (as close to it as they try to be), they are not. And with that being said, here’s what our readers demanded Disney World Hotels should change: Extended Evening hours should be available for ALL hotel guests! Cinderella Castle at night Extended Evening hours allow select hotel guests to stay at the parks for a couple of hours after they officially close for the general public. It guarantees exclusive time for hotel guests to ride attractions with lower wait times than average, and this perk is offered only on select nights. However, as great a perk as this sounds, not every Disney World hotel guest can take advantage of it. Art of Animation Extended Evening hours are only given to guests staying at Disney’s Deluxe Resorts, Swan & Dolphin Resorts, and Shades of Green. That means guests staying at Moderate or Value resorts are not able to take advantage of this after-hours perk. Disney’s Yacht Club Resort The hotels that offer Extended Evening Hours include: Disney Deluxe Resorts Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Disney’s Beach Club Resort Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Disney’s Contemporary Resort Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Disney’s Yacht Club Resort Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Jambo House Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village Disney’s Beach Club Villas Disney’s BoardWalk Villas Disney’s Old Key West Resort Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows Disney’s Riviera Resort Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort – A Disney Vacation Club Resort (The extended evening theme park hours benefit applies to Disney Vacation Club Cabins only.) The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa Other Select Hotels Walt Disney World Swan Hotel Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel Walt Disney World Swan Reserve Shades of Green Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa Of note, Disney doesn’t own the Swan and Dolphin Hotels, so if you’re looking to get the Extended Evening Hours perk at an economical rate, this is the way to go, as you’ll probably be paying less for this perk than everyone else. Walt Disney World Dolphin Many readers agreed that it should be a perk given to ALL Disney hotel guests, and we can completely understand why. There is one perk given to every Disney hotel guest, though, no matter what type of resort they’re staying at, and that is Early Entry. With Early Entry, hotel guests are guaranteed 30 minutes in the park before it’s opened to the public. Early Entry While it’s uncertain if Extended Evening hours will ever include guests staying at Moderate and Value resorts, an exciting new perk is underway for all Disney hotel guests. Beginning in 2025, resort guests were able to get FREE tickets to one of Disney World’s water parks on the day of their hotel check-in, although we’ll see the dates this perk is valid on will be limited in 2026. Typhoon Lagoon Other hotel perks include free transportation — such as the bus system, water taxis, monorail, and Disney Skyliner — and free hotel and theme park parking. Disney Skyliner You also get early access to Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass seven days before your trip (everyone else can book three days ahead of time). There are great Disney World hacks, and then there are some that leave us scratching our heads. Cinderella Castle Simply put, Disney World tips vary in their usefulness. Unfortunately, we’ve come across some “hacks” online that have become viral to the detriment of people who discover them. Sometimes we even come across tips that used to actually work, but are now outdated. The next time you visit Magic Kingdom, don’t fall for these overused and misguided Disney World hacks. Reserving Quick Service Tables We know that it can be challenging to find a table at quick service locations, especially during the noon lunch rush. It can be tempting to snag a table before you even have your food, but we highly suggest not doing this. Cosmic Ray’s Seating This can cause the flow of people dining to get even more backed up. Instead, wait until you have your food before rushing to save a table. Upstairs dining area at Columbia Harbour House We know how strong the temptation to camp out at a table can be. Instead, if you can, place a mobile order before you even get to the restaurant, so you can streamline the process of grabbing your food and then grabbing a seat. Why Eating Lunch in Magic Kingdom Is a HUGE Mistake Rope Dropping Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Rope dropping can be a great strategy to help you squeeze in a ride or two before the park gets crowded. Many people will rush to popular rides like TRON Lightcycle / Run, Space Mountain, or Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train We don’t want to burst your bubble, but instead of rushing to Fantasyland to ride Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at rope drop, we recommend saving it towards the end of the night. It can be really crazy in the morning when everyone is trying to rope drop, and chances are you will still get stuck in a long line. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Obviously, to each their own, but we’ve saved ourselves several headaches (and time) waiting on this one. As a part of Lightning Lane Single Pass, you do get some more flexibility when it comes to time, so definitely take advantage of that! You May Want to CHANGE Your Rope Drop Strategy at Magic Kingdom Purchasing Fake Pins Online We know that pins can get expensive, so as a hack, people might accidentally purchase fake Disney pins in bulk online. This can be done innocently, as some pins are marketed as real, even when they are not. Pin trading In order to pin trade at Disney World, pins must be officially licensed by Disney. If you want to buy pins in bulk, we recommend going for the Mystery Pin packs or starter kits, as they often come with four or five pins, which will allow you to use them as your traders. Birthday Mickey and Friends pin trading starter set If you’ve been scammed in the past, don’t overthink it. It could happen to anyone, but now you know better and are aware of what to look out for. Reserving a Spot for the Parade or Fireworks Early Some people like to stake out a spot for the parade or fireworks hours before showtime, and while there is nothing wrong with wanting the best spot, you could be spending this time enjoying the park. Festival of Fantasy Parade In some cases, you can find a spot just a few minutes before the show starts, but to be safe, we would say that 20 to 30 minutes prior to showtime is ample time to find a decent spot. You paid so much to visit the park, so why not enjoy the time that you are there? Disney Starlight Magic Kingdom’s newest nighttime parade — Disney Starlight — can present challenges when finding a spot. The illuminating nighttime spectacle runs along Main Street to Frontierland twice a night, and it can garner some pretty big crowds. Disney Starlight We’ve found that it’s best to arrive an hour early and try standing in the middle area of Main Street — the hub — for views looking down towards the train station. You can also stand and face the castle, which will provide great views of the floats as they pass by! It’s Official: This is The BEST Place To Watch Disney’s New Nighttime Parade! The Free T-shirt Hack It was shared online that Disney would give you a voucher for a free t-shirt if the clothes that you wore into the park did not match the dress code. Disney Shirts While this was true at the time, Disney used these vouchers as a way to avoid inconveniencing the guest by making them go back to their resort and change. Unfortunately, this hack was shared and started to be abused to the point that Cast Members rarely issue these vouchers. Disney shirts To avoid any sort of dress code violations, check the Disney World website for rules and regulations BEFORE your trip. Trust us, with Disney evolving as often as it does, this is something even we have to frequently do. It’s better to be overprepared than run into disaster before you day even starts. Emporium We are constantly in the parks to find the latest tips and tricks, but unfortunately, if you were hoping to use some of these hacks, we would say they are not worth your time. Ugh! Isn’t it the worst to buy something at Disney World just to find out you could have saved so much money if you bought it beforehand? We love our Owala water bottle! In fact, after years of experience, we’ve rounded up the four most common items we regret impulse-buying in Disney World. Good news — there’s a BETTER WAY! DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. OK, we have to admit that for YEARS, we wasted money on flimsy, disposable ponchos for a Disney vacation. It might seem like a good idea in the moment, but after you try our recommendation, you’ll never want to go back to those cheap ponchos. We love the FROGG TOGGS Ultra-lite2 Breathable Rain Poncho Frogg Togg Poncho This is the superior poncho. It’s 100% waterproof (thank goodness!!), lightweight, and durable. We love that we can use this many times — rather than having to toss it after one use. Plus, it’s comfortable, packable, and high-quality. View on Amazon Something else we’ve purchased in a moment of weakness? Bottled water. Disney World charges TOO MUCH for a simple bottle of water. Don’t fall for it! We bring a reusable Owala FreeSip to the parks! The inside This is our go-to for a park day! It’s a 24-ounce insulated stainless-steel water bottle, and what makes this one special is the FreeSip spout. Unlike a lot of other water bottles we’ve tested, this one is spill-free. Isn’t this Tangled one super cute, too? View on Amazon Ever started packing, only to realize you don’t have a good pair of shoes for Disney World? Don’t impulse-buy a cheap pair of sneakers! Instead, we would invest in a pair of shoes that will last for years AND won’t hurt your feet in the parks. Our team LOVES the HOKA Clifton 10 Running Shoes We love the cushion! These shoes are the BEST. Even after hours on your feet, your back, legs, and feet won’t hurt. It’s magic! There’s a reason Hoka sneakers are so popular. Give them a try (and make sure to break them in before your trip). View on Amazon A Mickey Mouse Bubble Wand Wonderful Cast Members We get it. Bubble wands are pretty tempting — especially if you’re a kid. But they are EXPENSIVE! Instead, we would buy one on Amazon before your trip (for a lot less money) so you don’t have to worry about falling into the bubble wand trap in the parks. Future you will thank you! View on Amazon A Disney Autograph Book ©Amazon We don’t know why a blank book and a pen are so expensive in the parks, but they just are. This one is still officially sold at the Disney Store, but it’s cheaper on Amazon! It’s Mickey Mouse and Friends themed with a pen and has 50 pages, which is plenty of room for all the characters you’re going to meet. View on Amazon You can get Disney Sweatshirts online, too ©Amazon Florida is hot, but don’t be surprised if there are random times when you feel the need to reach for a jacket. Whether it’s an oddly cold day in October, a restaurant with the air conditioning cranked up, or a relaxing evening by the pool, packing a themed sweatshirt for everyone in the family can help prevent trips to the gift shop to buy one for each member. View on Amazon In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney deals, so stay tuned for more. Dining in Disneyland can be overwhelming because you’ve got a TON of options. Whether you want something fast and easy at a quick service restaurant, a sit-down meal at a table service, or an upscale meal that you’ll never forget, there’s something in the resort for everyone. Who’s ready to eat? We recently stopped by Docking Bay 7 in Disneyland Resort to see what was cookin’, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. Is it worth a stop on your next trip to The Happiest Place on Earth? Find out here! Atmosphere Docking Bay 7 is located inside Galaxy’s Edge, which is where you can step into the Star Wars galaxy in a heartbeat. On Batuu, Black Spire Outpost serves up quick service meals with a Delivery Shuttle docked right on top, hence the name Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo. Views from Docking Bay 7’s Outdoor Patio Here, Proprietor Chef Strono “Cookie” Tuggs runs the kitchen, having honed his skills in the kitchen of Maz Kanata. On the menu here, you’ll find some familiar dining options with twists from another galaxy. Picky eaters may be a little wary of how everything looks, but we can assure you there are some great options here! Welcome to Docking Bay 7! But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?! Menu Docking Bay 7 is only open for lunch and dinner, so you won’t find any breakfast options here. On the menu for both times of day, you’ll find entrees like Endorian Roasted Chicken Salad, Surabat Noodles with Crispy Marinated Eopie, Fried Chicken Baos, and Endorian Fried Chicken Tip-Yip. For plant-based eaters, you can grab the Felucian Kefta Garden Spread. There’s only one dessert available, which is the Vintian Mineral Mousse. Menu inside Docking Bay 7 As for kids meals, you’ll find the Ithorian Garden Patty Bun and the Fried Chicken Tip-Yip Youngling Meal. You can choose to grab a specialty drink like the Moof Juice, Phattro, or Cold Brew Black Caf, but assorted fountain beverages are also available, along with apple juice, chocolate milk, regular milk, and Dasani Water. A closer look at the menu And now, onto the main event — the food! Eats First up, we grabbed the Surabat Noodles with Crispy Marinated Eopie for $18.99, which is Lo Mein Noodles, Bok Choy, Ground Pork, Togarashi Pork Rinds. Surabat Noodles with Crispy Marinated Eopie This is a great portioned dish! The noodles are perfectly al dente and there’s a lot of ground pork to go around. The sauce has a citrus/soy sauce/ginger taste to it and is on the salty side, but we mean that in the best way. We thoroughly enjoyed the dish and would absolutely get it again, but we would say it’s a bit on the adventurous side for eaters — we’ve got a feeling pickier eaters may not do as well with the sauce, but if you know you enjoy that flavor profile, it’s a solid option! Consider it a winner in our book! We also tried the Fried Chicken Baos for $14.99, which are Two Crispy Chicken Baos, Sweet Chili Sauce, Scallion Salad, Cucumber Coins. The bao is fluffy and the chicken is well cooked, but we need to warn you that the sweet chili sauce on top does have a bit of a kick! If you have a spice sensitivity, just be cautious or ask for the sauce on the side. It’s “Disney spicy,” maybe 4/10 on the spice level, but for those sensitive, they may feel it’s too much. The veggies offer a good crunch in combination with the other textures, and all the flavors work well together. While our reporter wasn’t the biggest fan of them just because there are other things they like better, if you’re looking for some spice, this is the way to go. Fried Chicken Baos Since it’s the only dessert on the menu, we had to try the Vintian Mineral Mousse for $8.79, which is Banana Brûlée-covered Dark Chocolate Mousse, Strawberry Mousse, Vanilla Chantilly, Chocolate Crumble, and Cherry Garnish. Vintian Mineral Mousse This is dessert is loaded up with flavors! The chocolate mousse was the most rich tasting item on this plate, but all of them were balanced. No flavors heavily outweighed the others, which is pretty tricky when it comes to desserts like this. We were big fans! And just LOOK at that presentation! We would absolutely get this one again, and we don’t think you’ll regret it if you know you enjoy chocolate and fruit flavors together. Drinks Finally, to drink we grabbed the iconic Cold Brew Black Caf for $7.79, which is Cold Brew Coffee topped with Sweet Cream Cheese and Chocolate Puffs. Cold Brew Black Caf This is popular for good reason! If you like coffee and need a cold coffee any time of day, this is the best one on property. The cream cheese cold foam and cocoa puffs may sound like a super strange combo, but we’re telling you, this drink is delicious and it won’t lead you astray! Nosh or Not This Disneyland restaurant is a must-visit if… You want to be immersed in Batuu and the world of Star Wars You’re a bit of a more adventurous eater You don’t mind smaller menus You should skip this Disneyland spot if… You want a menu that has LOTS of options for everyone You’re a pickier eater and aren’t as open to food that looks a little different than what you may expect You’re not a big Star Wars fan and may just find the food weird Overall While we’re rarely disappointed by this spot, we know it’s also not the best one out there. So while it works in a pinch, it’s not one that we’d say is a must-visit unless you’re a really big fan of Star Wars, or are alright with the smaller amount of menu offerings. Full Spread! In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant updates from Disneyland and beyond. Make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more! One of the perks of the job here at Disney Food Blog is the large number of desserts we get to try all across Disney World. We’ve tried just about all of it, from ice cream to macarons to pies to the biggest slices of cakes we’ve ever seen. It’s CAKE TIME! We’re adding another cheesecake and cake slice to our dessert list, this time from the Cake Bake Shop Bakery at Disney’s BoardWalk. You can walk there from the International Gateway entrance in EPCOT. We had perfect fall flavors all in cake form, and you’re going to love it! First up, we tried the Pumpkin Spice Cinnamon Roll Cake for $22. Look at those layers! This treat is like pumpkin bread meets the filling of a cinnamon roll. YUM! It was very sweet with lots of cinnamon flavor throughout. The cinnamon is the prominent flavor, followed by a lighter pumpkin flavor. The cake fell apart very easily, which shows how soft it was. We almost always love all the cake we get from the Cake Bake Shop Bakery, and this is no exception. Fluffy! Then we had the Pumpkin Cheesecake for $18. Pumpkin Cheesecake The cheesecake had a graham cracker crust and a dense, creamy, and smooth pumpkin cheesecake filling. It was like cheesecake meets pumpkin pie! It had the flavors of that perfect pumpkin pie with the texture that’s creamy and fluffy. The graham cracker crust holds up well, but we definitely recommend eating it with a fork and not trying to hold it for too long, like us. It added a bit of crunchy and buttery goodness to the treat. Digging in While we’re never a fan of the prices, they’re big pieces with high-quality flavors and textures, and are a super fun treat to share with the group. Okay, we kinda need the whole cake Make sure you keep following Disney Food Blog for more tips and tricks for your upcoming Disney World trip. In case you missed it, we recently got a chance to visit Disneyland Paris. Mickey pizza! That also means we got to try some brand new snacks (well, new to us), including The Lion King-themed Glace Magnum Le Roi Lion, an absolutely perfect Mickey treat, and the cutest Groot cookie we think we’ve ever seen. We also got a chance to grab a heftier snack at Colonel Hathi’s Outpost Restaurant in Disneyland Paris, so we’re going to fill you in on what we thought. You’ll find Colonel Hathi’s Outpost in Adventureland…and if you don’t remember who Colonel Hathi is, he’s from The Jungle Book! We got the Pepperoni Pizza for 17 Euros, and yes, we specifically ordered it because IT’S SHAPED LIKE MICKEY. Now we’ll warn you now…we’re totally biased when it comes to Mickey-shaped food. Sure, it’s just a pepperoni pizza, but we really enjoyed it. It’s shaped like Mickey! The crust was more of a thin crust, although it wasn’t crunchy. Instead, it kinda’ had that nice doughy (not like raw, but soft) kind of crust that’s a joy to bite into. There was also the perfect amount of crust for the toppings. The cheese was VERY cheesy, and the little pepperonis were fun. It’s also perfectly shareable (it’s a pretty good size). It’s good pizza Even better? You can get little packets of chili oil to put on top, which gives it a bit of a kick. How much fun is that? So if you’re wanting some American comfort food in Disneyland Paris, and pizza sounds about right, drop by Colonel Hathi’s and get yourself a Mickey pizza. This made it even better Stay tuned to DFB for more. I don’t care that Disney is already starting to sneak in Christmas decorations into the parks — it’s still October, which means it’s still time to celebrate the spookiest holiday of all. Ready for a drink? In addition to our love for Halloween, we love seasonal treats, and this special at Paddlefish in Disney Springs is both. Grab your witch’s hat because we have drinks to try! This is the Witch’s Heart Cocktail for $17 made with Gilbey’s Gin, Creme de Mure, Simple Syrup, Apple Juice, Lime Juice, Fresh Blackberries, finished with a Smoke Bubble. A smoke bubble, y’all! Filling up the smoke From the first sip, we knew we had a good one in our hands. Beyond the beautiful presentation with the super fun smoke bubble on top, the drink was light and well-balanced. The smoke was very aromatic, and we loved the color of the deep maroon. SO pretty It was very gin-forward, which lent to the dryness, but the fresh blackberries added a unique fruity flavor with a mix of tartness. The apple juice sits on the roof of your mouth, lingering after each sip for another hit of tart and sweet. This is a perfect cocktail for sipping since it’s so light and dry with that forward alcohol taste, so it’s great for grabbing appetizers with friends or for a longer meal. The Witch’s Heart Cocktail The Witch’s Heart Cocktail is definitely making our fun Halloween drink list! It’s only available until October 31st, so make sure you grab it fast. I’ve been going to Disney World for over 20 years now, and honestly, November is one of my favorite times to visit! Get ready because Magic Kingdom is about to look like this again It’s the month that Halloween (my personal favorite holiday) and Christmas have a baby in Disney World, with decor and delicious seasonal treats overlapping. Hannah Montana said it best — “you get the best of both worlds,” — which makes it an exciting time for fans like me who want to experience it ALL. However, there are some HUGE changes you’re going to want to know about before scanning your MagicBand into the parks! Heading to Disney World soon? Be sure to check out our planning worksheets. You can click the image below to get our list and make sure you don’t forget a thing! Here’s an overview of what you can look forward to in November at Disney World! Disney’s Animal Kingdom is healing with the opening of a new attraction! If you’ve ever dreamed of seeing Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde in their own attraction, your dreams are about to come true! Zootopia: Better Zoogether is a brand-new show coming to the Tree of Life Theater at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and it officially opens on November 7th. ©Disney This replaces the long-running It’s Tough to Be a Bug, which closed earlier this year. Will it be difficult to walk in there and not see the punny posters in the waiting area? Oh yes — tears will be shed. However, we are excited to be immersed in this story. It is still a 4D show that you’ll watch through your Carrot Vision 3D Glasses, and it begins when you arrive at the main stage just in time for Zoogether Day festivities. We just got a sneak peek at the Clawhauser animatronic, and we can’t wait to see it in person! Clawhauser animatronic ©Disney Don’t want to wait until November 7th? You might not have to! Cast Members and Annual Passholders have previews ahead of the grand opening. Passholders will get a chance to join a Virtual Queue in the My Disney Experience app on November 5th and 6th. Yes, Virtual Queues are back (at least for a couple of days). Learn all about how that process will work here. 5 Cringey Things That Make Me Rethink Walking Into Animal Kingdom Ever Again Ready to party? Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party begins. Starting November 7th, 2025, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party returns on select nights through December 21st! Tickets are on sale now, and although several dates have sold out, you can still score some for $169 to $229 per person, depending on the date. Club Tinsel at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party During the event, you’ll get complimentary cookies and hot cocoa, interactions with rare characters, low wait times for rides, exclusive entertainment (like the Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade), specialty food, and so much more. The best part? SNOAP. Yes, the “snow” is made of soap that falls on Main Street during the event. Who knew some suds and a few machines would be the key to making our dreams come true?! Snoap almost always makes us emotional If you are NOT attending the party, it’s still important that you pay attention to party nights! That’s because the park closes early. It can be a perk if you have a park hopper ticket, because crowds tend to be lower on party days. However, if you have a 1-park per day ticket, you’re wasting precious time in the parks by going to Magic Kingdom on these days! Why You Should Start Planning Your 2026 Disney World Christmas Trip Now Or, try something new at Jollywood Nights! That’s not the only festive event happening in Disney World! Jollywood Nights, one of Disney’s most controversial events in recent years, is back at Hollywood Studios for 2025 on select nights from November 8th to December 22nd, 2025. We had a blast in 2024! The vibes at Jollywood Nights are pretty different than Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, which is a huge draw for adults. You can have a special dining experience at The Hollywood Brown Derby, enjoy several exclusive shows (including one with the Muppets!), festive food, and more. Frozen Espresso Martini We’re not gonna lie — Jollywood Nights was off to a rocky start when it kicked off in 2023…but with some changes in 2024, we were pretty impressed! You know we’ll be at the first night, so we’ll give you all the details before you shell out the cash for those tickets. Mike Wazowski Tickets are on sale now, but there is plenty of availability left, so no rush. However, if you want to guarantee a spot, we’d recommend buying it now, just in case. We’re interested to see how it goes with several lands under construction! Disney Just Released 5 New Christmas Loungeflys Online Gobble up some delicious food on Thanksgiving Did you know some Disney World restaurants offer an exclusive menu only available for Thanksgiving?! Bring on the feast!! This year, Thanksgiving lands on Thursday, November 27th, just in case you lost track of dates when planning your trip (that’s what happens if you’re like me and use four calendars to track your life). Welcome in While many restaurants in your hometown may close, Disney World is open for business as usual every day of the year. But you deserve something special! So you can book a special meal at restaurants like Whispering Canyon Cafe and Steakhouse 71. Check out the full list at the link below! These are ALL of the restaurants with special Thanksgiving meals It’s time to eat your weight in cookies at EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays! Many people celebrate Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, and while we love shopping as much as the next Disney fan, our focus is split. That’s because the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays kicks off on November 28th! EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays! Food booths pop up around the park with festive eats and drinks, the storytellers take over the pavilions, celebrities visit to narrate the Candlelight Processional, and you can even meet Santa Claus! Each EPCOT festival is special, but this has a soft spot in our hearts. Okay, it might be because you get rewarded for eating your weight in cookies through the Cookie Stroll, but still! Yes, you purchase five cookies at booths around the festival to collect stamps and then turn those in for a free treat — it’s as amazing as it sounds! Cookie Stroll Completer Prize — Cookie Mix for Home! This is one of the shorter festivals, so you only have until December 30th to check it out. We’ll be there on opening day to give you full reviews of every single booth, just like we do for every festival! No matter how many times I tell myself, “I’ve learned from last year,” I still mess up in Disney World. Do you drive to Disney World? We’re spilling the beans on where our planning, stomachs, and timing all failed us this year at Disney World. These are the kinds of mistakes you don’t want to make — some are embarrassing, some are costly, some are just not the smartest. Below, you’ll find some of our top fails. Let’s dive right into it. Underestimating I-4 traffic (again) As someone who drives all the way from the Tampa Bay area, the trip always finds a way to eat extra minutes. No matter how much buffer time we build in, there’s always more traffic. We planned as though I-4 would be kind… it wasn’t. Driving to Disney World On multiple trips this year, what should’ve been a 2-hour drive turned into 3+ hours of crawling — and we showed up late, tired, and cranky. I promise, we’ll never assume extra time is optional again. Visiting EPCOT on a weekend during a festival Some things seem like fun in theory, but in practice they get chaotic fast. We made this mistake more than once: we rolled into EPCOT on festival weekends, expecting we’d soak in the atmosphere and enjoy all the food booths. Crowds at EPCOT Instead, we ended up paying more attention to the crowd flow than to our enjoyment. The lines were long, walkways got clogged, and we spent more energy ducking people than tasting treats. We’ll never go into a festival weekend unprepared again. Big lunch when I had Hoop-Dee-Doo that night I can’t believe I almost did this again. In the past, I ate a massive lunch on the day I had evening Hoop-Dee-Doo reservations, thinking “I’ll just eat a little then.” Big mistake. I showed up too full to enjoy that cornbread or chicken like I planned. Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue This year, I was on guard. Lesson: Don’t overdo lunch when you have a heavy dinner reservation coming. Being late for Cake Bake Shop dinner and getting charged by OpenTable We finally visited the Cake Bake Shop for dinner — one of those reservations I’d been looking forward to all trip. We messed up: We arrived late. Inside the Bakery Because of that, OpenTable dinged us with a fee. That sting of paying money just for showing up late is one I want to avoid forever. Show up on time or cancel that reservation beforehand! Back-to-back reservations in a tight window This was ambitious — and in truth, a little reckless. We booked a GEO-82 reservation, then queued a Cosmic Rewind Lightning Lane, then had Le Cellier reservations all within an hour and a half of each other. Inside GEO 82 I thought we could pull it off, and we did this time. But I can absolutely see it going badly: being late, missing one, rushing the whole night. We ended up stressed, constantly checking clocks, and eating half of one reservation so we could catch the next. Lesson: allow more breathing room between reservations. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind We’re not perfect, and we don’t expect you to be either. But you can skip a lot of our pain points by learning from them. If you remember just two things— never underestimate traffic and space out your reservations — you’ll already be way ahead of where we were. Keep following us at DFB for more tips on making the most of your Disney trip! I Made a Foolish Mistake with My Lightning Lanes in Disney World. Here’s How I Solved It. Okay, we’ve got something that’s going to make you Marvel fans LOSE YOUR MINDS. Avengers Campus Okay, so everyone knows about the awesomeness (that’s a direct quote from Star-Lord) that is Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure, right? Not to mention, you can literally meet almost ALL of your favorite superheroes in the land, as well as go on an adventure with Spider-Man. Well, recently, one real-life Marvel Cinematic Universe star just visited Avengers Campus…and y’all, he was BRUTAL (in the most epic way possible). Thanos himself, aka Josh Brolin, recently visited Disneyland, which — OF COURSE — meant a visit to Avengers Campus (how could he not?). In the process, he got to meet Iron Man there, and the two posed for some photos. This seems nice enough, right? ©Disney But then, Brolin morphed into Thanos and snapped Iron Man. Which is beautiful and horrible at the same time, right? Now THIS is a photo op, y’all. ©Disney It makes us think, though…Brolin might be done playing Thanos in the movies, but it’s very likely he’ll be helping develop the character further for the new multiverse-inspired ride, Avengers Infinity Defense, coming to Avengers Campus, focused on battling King Thanos. So is that why Brolin is hanging around Disneyland? Or was this just a fun trip (because celebrities love Disneyland as much as we do)? Inquiring minds… ©Disney Construction is underway for the new Avengers Campus expansion that will also include Stark Flight Lab, a ride that lets you take one of Tony Stark’s test suit vehicles for a spin. We’ll be keeping an eye out for updates on that expansion, so stay tuned to DFB for more. American Airlines is changing one of its longtime luggage rules, and it’s going to immediately affect how you fly! ©American Airlines I’ve been flying for over 30 years, and there have been many times when I’ve held my breath, hoping that my carry-on bag fits into the metal sizer at the gate and won’t need to be checked last minute. Can you relate? If so, fret not, as those days will soon be over for both of us… at least on American Airlines. Like fellow carrier United did several years ago, American is eliminating the sizers and moving to a new system. Moving forward, gate agents will use their judgment to make the final determination as to whether a bag is eligible to be carried on or too big and needs to be checked. Furthermore, if they’re not sure, the gate agent will err on the side of the customer. ©American Airlines Sizers will still be available in check-in lobbies before security, so flyers can get a pretty good idea if their bag will be approved or rejected before making their way through TSA and to their gate. Okay, things are…well, a lot in Disney’s Hollywood Studios right now. The old Muppets Courtyard is behind construction walls while it’s being converted into a Monsters, Inc. land. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster will close in 2026 to make way for the Muppets to take over. Animation Courtyard is under construction to be reimagined as The Walt Disney Studios. Live Action Ariel It’s a lot to keep track of. Well, we’ve got another big change in Hollywood Studios to warn you about. The live-action Ariel meet-and-greet location will change soon. If you look at the Disney World website, you might notice there’s a message on the page for the meet-and-greet for Hollywood Studios’ live-action Ariel. Ariel usually meets with guests in the Walt Disney Presents building. However, on October 28th, she will move from that location. Instead, you’ll be able to meet her at Echo Lake, near 50s Prime Time Cafe. ©Disney Disney has not given a reason as to why the character meet-and-greet will be moving. The website mentions that the move is temporary, so perhaps the space will be getting a bit of freshening up before she returns. In the meantime, if you want to meet Ariel, you’ll want to keep an eye on the My Disney Experience app to see when she meets, as well as get an exact location. You can do that by doing the following: Select the pin at the bottom of the screen on My Disney Experience. At the top, scroll through the icons and choose “Characters.” Use the locations drop-down to select Hollywood Studios. Then click on “Show List” at the bottom right of the screen — this will give you a full list of characters available, as well as their times and locations. You can also use the map view to find characters in the park. Things are really shaking up at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This summer, Muppets Courtyard closed to make way for construction that will eventually become a brand new Monsters, Inc. land. Construction walls around Animation Courtyard Then there’s the construction at Animation Courtyard, which just closed recently. Well, a LOT has been going on behind those construction walls, but we’ve only been able to barely get a look at what’s been happening behind those walls as the area transforms into The Walt Disney Studios. Now, though, we’ve got some new overhead shots of the area to get a closer look at the construction! Thanks to @bioreconstruct, we have new photos of what’s happening behind the construction walls of what used to be Animation Courtyard. Right now, it looks like there is a LOT of demolition happening. A lot of construction equipment is on site, and there is a ton of debris filling up dumpsters. ©bioreconstruct This photo shows the foundation of the gateway arch that was recently removed. ©bioreconstruct Here’s another angle of that area. It doesn’t look like anything new has been added to the area yet, so the project seems to still be in its demolition phase. ©bioreconstruct From this angle, you can see the former Star Wars Launch Bay. We noticed recently that the sign there had been taken down. ©bioreconstruct When it’s completed, the area will be converted into The Walt Disney Studios, which is almost a throwback to what this area was when Hollywood Studios opened in 1989 as Disney-MGM Studios (yep, I remember it, although at that time, it was an actually working TV and movie studio). It will include The Magic of Disney Animation, an experience where you can interact with Disney animation in a new way, character meet-and-greets, a new Alice in Wonderland-themed playground, a new Disney Jr. show, and more. We’ll be keeping an eye on construction progress and will keep you updated, so stay tuned to DFB for more. Did Disney Just Quietly Confirm the Name of the New Land Coming to Hollywood Studios? Disney World is changing at an unprecedented rate! We feel like we’re getting whiplash each week with new Disney updates, changes, and more. We love Disney news, but the last few years have been a lot. Disney World’s Magic Kingdom From major theme park expansions to huge changes coming to the cruise line, the Walt Disney Company has been a busy, busy group! To help keep up with all of these changes, we’ve been doing a weekly news roundup that has the biggest changes and updates. Let’s dive into the Disney World chaos from this week! Are you ready for more Disney World changes? So are we! From the biggest surprises to happy confirmations, there’s been a lot going on this week. Remy’s Ratatouille Updates EPCOT is getting in on the big changes because one of its most popular rides is getting a major update! Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will be closed from November 10th to 13th as Disney switches things over to the new 2D system, a change from the current 3D experience. Disney also shared that new props and lighting will be added to the queue and attraction over the coming months. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure Disney has yet to share what types of props or lighting will be added, or what, if any, downtime might be expected due to these changes. This was something Disney previously announced was happening at the original Disneyland Paris version of the ride, so it was likely only a matter of time before the changes made their way to EPCOT as well. Hey, Remy! The last day to toss on those 3D glasses will be on November 9th, 2025. We’re eager to see the changes, especially because many guests found the current version of the ride nauseating. Learn more about the changes coming to the Paris version of the ride here! Zootopia: Better Zoogether Updates Over in Animal Kingdom, the opening of Zootopia: Better Zoogether is drawing near! In preparation for the new attraction’s opening, Disney released the official poster for the attraction! ©Disney The poster features Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, along with more familiar faces from the Disney film. We even spotted another look at a new friend, exclusive to the attraction, named Heidi Howler. In addition to the poster, Disney also confirmed that the new attraction will be a Lightning Lane option in the park. ©Disney That means your new list of attractions you can choose from for Lightning Lane Multi Pass includes: DINOSAUR Expedition Everest Feathered Friends in Flight! Festival of the Lion King Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond! Kali River Rapids Kilimanjaro Safaris Na’vi River Journey Zootopia: Better Zoogether ©Disney The show opens on November 7th, 2025, and previews for the attraction will take place on November 5th and 6th! Everything we know about Zootopia: Better Zoogether is right here! The Jingle Cruise Is Back Finally, a popular holiday ride overlay is returning! The Jingle Cruise is back in 2025, and we are so excited! The popular Magic Kingdom ride will transform into its holiday version starting on November 3rd, 2025. The Jingle Cruise! Guests will get to hear some new punny jokes on the cruise appropriate for the season, and they’ll get to enjoy a queue that’s been decorated for the season (and the Jingle Cruise queue makes standing in the long lines for the ride SO worth it). Even the famous Jungle Cruise boats get renamed for the season to give them more of a holiday feel. Jingle Cruise The Jingle Cruise brings something else to the ride…LONG lines. This holiday ride is VERY popular, so if you want to grab a ride on it, be prepared to stand in some long lines. However, the ride is available through Lightning Lane Multi Pass, so you may want to consider paying for that to skip the long standby lines for the shorter Lightning Lane. A little boat modification for the holidays This is one of a handful of holiday overlays you can find around Disney World, and it’s a major sign Christmas is on the way! We are enjoying every second of Halloween, but we won’t lie, this news has us ready to put those Christmas trees up! What I Wish I’d Known Before Going to Disney World in November There are so many fun changes coming to Disney World, and we are following them every step of the way! Y’all. We have some AMAZING news from EPCOT. Spaceship Earth has soft opened seven days (yep, a whole WEEK!) ahead of its original reopening date. We’ll admit we’ve been missing hearing Dame Judi Dench’s narration on Spaceship Earth in EPCOT since it’s been closed. The ride closed in August for a refurbishment. Well, Spaceship Earth was not supposed to reopen until October 25th, but y’all, we visited EPCOT today and were met with a lovely surprise: Spaceship Earth has soft opened. Yep, that’s right, Spaceship Earth opened and we made a BEELINE over to the big golf ball (we know it’s actually a geodesic sphere…don’t come for us) to hop on a ride to see if we could spot any changes during the refurbishment. Granted, we knew the refurbishment was probably just some much-needed maintenance. Either way, YAY! You can bet we’re ready to explore the past, present, and future of human communication. It’s OPEN! So, what’s changed? Well, the ride seems mildly refreshed, and it seems like some of the animatronics are moving a little more fluidly. We asked a Cast Member, who told us the ride just got a little routine maintenance. The photo capture part of the ride, though, still isn’t…well…great, so there’s that. Our ride photo had us looking like bits and pieces of a hat and face. NOT flattering, but, oh, well. At least the ride itself is back! It’s looking a little fresher. Technically, the only indication we had of an official opening date was thanks to the hours listed on the Disney World website, and, well, those often change. Still, the ride opening a week before it was scheduled to reopen must be some kind of record. So thank you, Disney! Note that you won’t find times on the Disney World website or My Disney Experience app (we checked), so this seems to be a soft reopening. That means it could still be closed the next few days until the official reopening date on October 25th. Thank the Phoenicians Now, we have to remind you that this has nothing to do with the Spaceship Earth update that was originally announced with the big EPCOT transformation. That particular project ended up on a back burner, and as of yet, Disney has not announced plans to revive it, even if Spaceship Earth really needs some updating. At least the exterior lighting on the big golf ball got a SERIOUS glow-up. Look at the colors… We’ll be keeping an eye out for more news in Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for more. When we see new snacks arrive in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, our mouths immediately start to water. ESPECIALLY when we’re talking about Flame Tree Barbecue. (If you know…you know.) Who’s ready for new snacks? Out of all the Disney World parks, Animal Kingdom and EPCOT are famous for some of the most iconic, delicious, and sought-after snacks. When we see Disney release new snacks in either park, we run FASTER than normal to check them out, because we have high expectations. In this case, we headed over to Flame Tree Barbecue for two new snacks that could not be MORE different from one another — one healthy, and one not so healthy. The best part? We loved them BOTH! Real Disney experts know why we’re so excited to be back at Flame Tree Barbecue. This place is known for its barbecue-sauced snacks, including the beloved Baked Macaroni & Cheese with Pulled Pork and the Smoked Pulled Pork Sandwich. Both are EXCELLENT! But what about the new snacks? Will they live up to the hype of this restaurant? Baked Macaroni & Cheese with Pulled Pork First up here is the healthier option, the Broccoli Salad for $4.99. This is made with broccoli, cheese, bacon, and golden raisins, and it has an almost coleslaw-like dressing on it. Broccoli Salad The broccoli here is slightly cooked, where it still has a bite, but you also aren’t eating raw broccoli, which we enjoyed. The bacon is in little pieces mixed throughout the salad, and it adds a bite of smokiness, meatiness, and crunch. We really like the sweetness from the golden raisins, as well as the coleslaw-like dressing. You don’t see many vegetables in Disney theme parks, so this is a rare win! It’s a pretty generous serving! While the toppings here do take away the healthiness a bit for this snack, it’s still healthier than many other options! We don’t think it’s something to rush to buy, but if you’re looking to get some veggies presented in a delicious way, this is a great choice. A bit healthier than other options On the complete opposite side of things, the other new snack is the Pumpkin Cheesecake Pop for $6.29, which is a Pumpkin Cheesecake Slice dipped in a mix of Caramel and Chocolate, topped with Spiced Graham Cracker Crumbs. Pumpkin Cheesecake Pop This tastes exactly like you would expect (a.k.a. a creamy, pumpkin dream)! We were bummed that lots of the graham cracker crumbs fell off the treat when we picked it up, but that’s our only complaint. The cheesecake has a lot of pumpkin flavor and lots of warming spice flavor like cinnamon and nutmeg (so it’s certainly more pumpkin spice rather than straight pumpkin). It’s similar to a pumpkin pie filling, but more light and fluffy like a cheesecake. If you’re a fan of pumpkin, this is absolutely going to be a winner! It was a big hit for us!
